I just thought of the perfect excuse for Wukogn to come down from the mountain in Soft Boiled au! If Yuebei is a ribbondancer, she had to start young. This means Wukong had to enroll her in classes for it at some point. Imagine if, after winning some competition, Yuebei was actually IN the parade as one of the dancers! This means she, unfortunately, was smack dab in the middle of the chaos, hidden behind a glamour. This could be both how her dancing troupe and otber friends finds out about her being a monkey... and the world at large discovering Sun Wukong had a daughter if she hadn't been known about beforehand.

To make things angst, imagine if she had left her asthma inhaler with Wukong so it wouldn't get lost/damaged in the performance. And unlike Redson, Yuebei didn't escape without being captured. Luckily, SQ isn't willing to actually harm a little girl like that, even if she is Wukong's daughter. In fact she finds the fact Yuebei is such a Daddy's Girl and Wukong is so protective of her extremely amusing and kind of sweet! Unfortunately Yuebei ends up having an asthma attack tho, just form a mix of tbe bad quality air in the mech, the excitement and exercise she had, and jsut waking up feeling kinda bad. And since Wukong has the inhaler and both are currently trapped, they have to rely on their captors to be kind enough to get Yuebei her inhaler from Wukong's pocket. And it isn't SQ who is in the room when it happens.

Macaque was spying on them from the shadows and watching as Wukong damn near begged LBD to let him save his little girl, actually crying tears as the bone witch just laughed in his face, not caring about the girl. She grabbed the inhaler andjsut threw it on the ground in front of him, stepping on it, before walking out. Once he was sure LBD was gone, and Wukong was distracted trying to help his daughter and keep her calm, Macaque made his move. The medicine disappears into a shadow portal and Macaque slides out next to Yuebei, inhaler in hand. It's a very tense moment before Macaque proceeds to help Yuebei use said inhaler, but he won't cut them free.

Not without a VERY overdue conversation with his ex.

Wukong noticed Yuebei's interest in ribbon-dancing a long time ago, and found it a good way to get her to interact with regular kids roughly her age but under supervision. Wukong may be a bit of a helicopter parent, but none of the other guardians or teachers judge him for it when he expains that Yuebei is health-compromised.

Yuebei thinks her dad is super embarassing, sitting on the sidelines with a whole doctor's office in his bag, cheering for her and her group for every bit of progress, bringing fresh fruit for everyone, calling her his little Moonlight - UGH!

But she'd rather have he there and keep going to class than not go at all so...

At New Years, Yuebei's school gets a prestigious role; acting as junior dancers in the parade! They've done competitions and live performances before, but New Years!? :D

Yuebei does not stop fretting about it when she gets home or meets up with the Noodle Gang. She's low-key panicking since it will be her first time in a parade at all. All that anxiety makes her start to wheeze a bit...

So on the evening of New Years; Wukong tells MK to go hang out with his dads and friends for the day - and maybe take a break to watch the parade! MK and Mei are super excited to see Yuebei perform for real, and convince Pigsy to close the food truck for a few minutes when it's time for her school's progression.

Then the spiders attack.

Yuebei is scream-wheezing with anger by now. She's spent days preparing for this parade! How dare these B-Tier villains wreck her and her team's performance!? Nearly aflame with rage, her glamour falls apart, revealing a very familiar-looking monkey demon...

Spider Queen is quick to capture this one, even if the little Monkey Princess is too cute to eat. She's perfect bait for catching her Daddy.

Wukong is captured alongside DBK as in canon, with the addition of Yuebei in the web next to him. Weirdly, the spider mech seems to "glitch out" a bit when it draws energy from her.

As Wukong soothes his crying little girl that it's ok and that they'll make it out of here, he notices how here breathing is Off.

Yuebei's asthma had gotten better as she grew up, but it never went away. And now she was in the midst of a massive attack.

Wukong panics as he struggles to reach for the inhaler in his pocket, gritting his teeth as the contricting webs pull at his strength, still assuring his daughter that everything will be okay.

Then the strange little girl appears... and Wukong pales at the sight of her. He weakly asks for assistance to help his child, only for the Bone Demon to mock him for having "such a weak progeny" and crush the inhaler underfoot. She leaves the room, threatening her future goals.

The other demons in the room now fully realise that Sun Wukong, The Monkey King, is terrified in this moment - terrified for his child's life. Wukong is trying his best not to cry, still trying to keep his daughter calm and breathing, but hope is running thin....

Until a shadow leaks into frame.

Anyone whos broken an inhaler casing will tell you that you can still release the medicine if the cartridge is intact, its just a little awkward.

Macaque fumbles with the cartridge as Wukong instructs him how to use it to help Yuebei, all three monkeys breathing a sigh of relief as the youngest's wheezing calms and breathing steadies.

Macaque is about to ask Wukong a much needed question when DBK manages to break free from his own webbing, terrified for his niece's well-being.

Ripping the webs asunder, DBK brushes the tears from Yuebei's eyes, asking if she's indeed ok before heading out to look for his own child. Wukong thanks his brother sincerely. And thanks Macaque too.

Macaque acts non-chalantly about it, and finally gets to ask;

"Who's kid is this?"

Wukong and Yuebei's faces tells him it's not a question they expected him to ask. Or one they would need an answer for. Macaque mentally panics as he calculates all the similarities between his ex-mate and the little monkey demon he just helped save.

Macaque blinks as the realisation comes to him; "Oh sh-"

And then the gang's airship releases the spider venom antidote throughout the city. More questions for later!

Six-Eared Macaque Headcanons:

I love the headcanon that he either used to have white fur or he glamours it away.

My headcanon for his “birth” is an amalgamation of several others I’ve seen (I forget their tags). Basically a piece of the moon broke off and hit the ground, the big ass flash caused a shit ton of shadows (hence shadow powers). The wind formed a mini hurricane around the moon-rock-egg and broke it, which is why 6EM can hear the wind.

6EM glamours a lot, everytime he dislikes something he glamours it away. This led to him hating how his glamored self looks (bcz it looks nun like him), but also hating how his unglamored self looks (bcz bad memories & imperfections & shit).

The shadows are semi-sentient, they’re also very picky with who they “serve” but extremely loyal. (Kinda like a dog.)

Rumble and Savage were 6EM’s first clones. (Their more sentient/have their own kinda personality bcz his 1st time w/ clones was a lot like MK’s.)

6EM & Chang’e are besties.

DBK introduced PIF 2 them all & PIF gave this guy 1 look & went “uhm, excuse me sir, but what r u doing here w/ these bozos?🤨 ur 2 smart 4 this, now come forward let us bond 😌”

So I went back to star rail after taking a break and am playing the new event bc my brain is just not ready to go thru jingliu story quest rn. Mostly bc they're probably going to still be super vague. Hopefully I'm wrong tho. Well the new event is cute nothing really interesting to me but still cute. Though the actual event game play is so tedious to me 😭 I was wondering if you like to play the events like the museum etc. I find them too overly wordy, more than hoyo's other games even. i was actually pleasantly surprised with this event's storyline too! i actually expected to dislike the fox girl bc she looks like bootleg sucrose with one extremely annoying personality trait of being scared, but there was like. actual character conflict and development??? i understood what was happening the entire time. villain had more fleshed out personality than in main quest. like, it, it's nothing groundbreaking, but compared to what hsr usually does, its actually competent. did they get one of the good writers after fountaine finished or what asdfghj

but yeah, the event itself is v tedious. for me its like, whatever, bc i only use hsr as time waster to play on my phone in bite sizes of like 10-15 minutes, so it doesn't get too annoying.

so in concept the nanami and gojou ship in a romantic concept is rly cute in concept like u have an ex - salary man whos serious doesnt allow himself the luxury of acting his age but on the other end u have someone who still acts like hes a child and never takes anything serious even when hes fighting.  they both endured the trauma being a jujutsu sorcerer entails yet they have nothing in common -- gojou dresses like hes a reflection with the moon and nanami, the sun.  also the fact that gojou thinks that he, himself, is ascended above all he works with while nanami is just a human living his day to day, and lot of ppl use this as nanami to bring down gojou to his morality just like a nudge or a friendly reminder.  he even tolerates and puts up with him a lot more than he should.  hes very patient but very honest.  a lot of the fanart of them is SO CUTE esp when theyre married and living happily with one another.  i even ship them, its actually one of my top ships next to satosugu but like in reality its not so great unfortunately

honestly?  theres a small slim of a possibility but due to the nature of the clash of personalities and what their job its like ... not rly possible

nanami, even out of being a salary man, fully treats being a jujutsu sorcerer as a 9 - 5 job and refuses to work overtime. he has small luxuries like he enjoys reading and eating left overs after a day of working hard like who wouldnt and not to mention hes the type to keep his relationships strictly professional. gojou has probably asked him several times to take him out for drinks after work (altho work never ends with gojou which is ironic) and has said no.  it’s funny now that i think about it,  shouko probably asks him for an occasional drink after hours and he accepts because at least he likes shouko and he knows theres no ulterior motive from her just a couple of coworkers doing some heavy drinking but nothing ever more than that -- hes even said that he wants to get married but when hes no longer a sorcerer

sucks tho, because like everyone else, nanami sees gojou as someone who is extremely powerful and only sees him for his techniques except more like hes a nuisance and extremely annoying, even to the point of having absolutely no respect for him.  he realizes, yeah hes strong but as for the full package that is satoru gojou?  there’s absolutely nothing to respect about that man

and while we’re talking about gojou, i’ll say it, he’s mentally unstable.  i mean, we all knew that -- hes got a couple of “screws loose” as he puts it inside that rattling brain of his.  on the opposite side of the spectrum, hes not capable of handling a romantic relationship.  hes always always busy, its rare that that he gets a breather for himself.  hes always being sent out on missions out of country and ive always portrayed gojou as the type of partner thats not even gentle on his partners in terms of being playful, childish, and being a nuisance.  his mental health is absolutely terrible (i’m not saying nanamis is any better but) hes always acted much younger than what he is altho i do blame his upbringing for that.

and gojou treats everyone as good friends but does like to particularly pick on ppl who take themselves too seriously (nanami and utahime), mei mei and yuki are exempt from this.  he also doesnt rly care for ichiji but like, that doesnt matter LOL.

i do see nanami eventually giving in for one (1) after dinner ‘date’ after work but when gojou is actually less himself, hes tolerable to be around which isnt saying much tbh.  you should def listen to the nanami and gojou drama audio if u can!  they’re so fucking funny as a pair, which solidifies them as being cute but were not talking about that rn.

in terms of being ‘what are they’ to each other, its hard to tell.  i talked about it briefly as nanami reminding him of his morality and being his humility tho gojou doesnt act like it, he fully believes hes above all and everyone, lovers and close friends are included in this.  i read a lot of nana/go fanfics and they portray nanami as someone to push down his ego;  to remind him hes actually Not all that great, a child in an adults body, etc.  he’s a brutality honest man and gojou can take critic and criticisms to his person but that doesnt mean hes going to listen (and he doesnt, hes even self aware that his personality sucks ass but does he bother to change?  absolutely not and he wont start now nor for anyone else).

yuu did definitely help nanami change and shift his ideas about the world, esp hating the jujutsu society afterwards.  like, i dont blame u king, it sucks ass.  tho, i dont think nanami looked up or cared for gojou and getou that much.  getou he looked up to more so because at least hes as a respectable guy, strong, good looking, and stimulates intellectual conversations.  gojou?  not so much.  nanami probably thought that it doesnt matter if u have techniques that is extremely rare to acquire and even more so to master but u suck ass and u dont stimulate joy to be around.

nanami is a good friend and high school buddy to gojou and nanami would definitely call him ‘coworker’ or something along those lines when hes annoyed him too much or doesnt want gojou to benefit too much from simple acknowledgement.  gojou thinks hes an ascended being but he definitely respects and finds nanami to be a strong sorcerer and was rather surprised when he took the 9 - 5 job but it was definitely safer.

death ... ah, i think about this all the time.  it’s like losing suguru all again except he didnt go rogue and kill a whole village.  hes absolutely confident in nanamis abilities to fend off curses and hes too stubborn to let himself die as well, so the idea of him dying doesnt ever cross his mind.  thats a true stab to the gut to hear that nanami has died, maybe a moment of truly being unhinged and a darker nature but we wont rly know until it happens in the manga, which i cant wait.  i mean, at least mei mei, utahime, and shouko are around but this is nanami were talking about.  if this was in terms of a romantic relationship rather than a simple seemingly one - sided friendship of enjoying of being around that person but that person just tolerating him and hoping he goes away eventually.  i can’t say, i can’t say!  just take these thoughts with like a grain of salt.

also that last statement in the ask, gojous smiles are fake and a mask while the rare times nanami does smile, its genuine.

regardless of what i said, i think it can be a comfy ship!  this ship isnt toxic but any means (unless u make it toxic then well, thats a you thing) so just enjoy it!  i know i do i think as long as u recognize that maybe neither of them being a relationship would benefit the other then go stupid go crazy, i know i will.

Quick thoughts about ep 4

I don’t have much to say about this episode, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it! I think Saber has found its footing surprisingly fast. While the show has already sown the seeds of drama, that doesn’t mean it’s lost the goofy and wholesome tone I love so much.  

Let’s see:

I adore Mei. I really do. Will I say this in every single Saber post? Probably. Her plan was reckless, but she went through it anyway and she succeeded! She’s chaotic in the best way possible and I love that for her. 

Rintarou’s brief interactions with Buster worry me. Probably the whole point is that Buster is a quite intimidating person (he is!), but I’m a worrywart and all I got is that Rintarou seems scared and/or uncomfortable when he talks to him. He doesn’t seem particularly close to Kento either. I’m starting to believe he doesn’t have many friends from Sword of Logos (or... at all). I hope I’m wrong!!! The scene where he helps Touma up is extremely cute tho. If for some reason I’m right, at least I know that now he has both Touma and Mei by his side.

Tinkerbell was extremely amusing. I hope she’ll show up again at some point. I think that Sora will be disappointed when Touma reads fairytales to him - you don’t usually find beefy fairies in those.

BOOO! You promised us Espada and we got like one second! But it’s alright, as the next episode seems to be Kento-centric. The title is so cute I’m melting. Saber is adorable.

Buster has accepted Touma! That was cute. I also liked the scene where Kento asks him to trust Touma. This show is so sweet.

I’m not really interested in the 3 bad guys, but I’m looking forward to seeing Calibur in the next ep (mostly because of Kento tbh).

I HATE those those ships with a burning passion. mei makes it extremely clear that she thinks junkrat is a no good bully and she can’t even look at him, she’s disgusted by him. and roadhog and zarya. zarya Looks like a butch lesbian. roadhog Looks like a gay bear. why the Fuck would you put them together. Don’t Do That. i don’t like junkrat and roadhog being paired with girls in the first place anyway, they’re both soooooo extremely gay coded???5: first headcanon that pops into my head when junkrat moved in with roadhog, he adopted the shed on his farm as his private workshop and literally the very first thing that he did was blow out the sides of it with an explosion. roadhog just kind of looked at him and was like “i’m not fixing that.” so he has the couch in there for naps when he passes out after hyperfixating on a new brilliant idea for too long, but the vultures come out at night, and they know not to fuck with roadhog, but junkrat’s a lot easier to mess with. so the especially brave have tried to jump junkrat in the workshop before because it doesn’t matter that he boarded up the door, the fucking sides are wide open. so junkrat officially began sleeping inside roadhog’s house at night, and then it became Their Base and now they’re domestic little shits and you see both of their belongings everywhere and the one bed that they share6: favorite line from this character i have MANY favorite lines for these two, but the first ones that come to mind are: junkrat: guess we know who’s really on top, don’t we? and roadhog: hurts soooo good.7: one way in which I relate to this character like junkrat, i too am a walking gay disaster who is extremely scatterbrained and forgets things very easily and needs to write things down in order to remember them. like roadhog, i collect plush toys and have a pachimari of my own! it squeaks. i love it.8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character i honestly get second hand embarrassment a Lot when writing junkrat, because he is so incredibly ignorant of social customs. like in canon, he doesn’t understand when the people he’s talking to are being rude to him. he asks questions that people just ignore. (“let’s say we forget about all this and go to the beach instead! any takers? anyone? no?” he does not know how to read a room and just blurts out whatever’s on his mind). but i like, like that about him??? i like the second hand embarrassment i get when i write a scene that’s especially “oh no…… junkrat no………..” because i love this fucked up guy being horrible at absolutely everything he does. roadhog personally doesn’t give me second hand embarrassment, but the fandom interpretation where people literally only interpret him as the guy who likes cute stuff while ignoring the fact that he is also literally a cold-blooded murderer gives me second-hand embarrassment. i hate it when people just treat them as the comic relief and ignore the fact that they are genuinely villains in their own right as well!9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? ohhhhhhhhhhh 10000% problematic faves.

So for one thing I think you guys would work well because based on the fact that you have that thirst of knowledge and you’re an INTP makes it a pretty nice-ish pairing with Oikawa? Okay this is whack but hear me out lol, despite the fact that most INTP’s are very shy and they’re not one to put themselves out there for a relationship, I think you’d probably have something intriguing enough for someone like Oikawa, who spends most of his time with volleyball, to seek you out. When you guys are dating, I think there will come a mutual understanding that Oikawa loves volleyball but you’re able to be communicative with him aboutyour needs and wants out of a relationship. It also says on the INTP page LOL, that those crazy romantic gestures are unimportant for those with the INTP personality type, so it works out that Oikawa may not always have the time for that anyway. Of course, you’d still have some extravagent date nights every now and then but I think it just works with how busy Oikawa is but you’re also understanding and would want to support him. Plus even you have your own goals and ya know, you both support each other.

you met iwaizumi because of him and it’s also because of iwaizumi  that you found out oikawa pushes himself too hard 

so you do an accumulation of small things to remind oikwaa to take care of himself 

that he can’t become the best if he doesn’t 

you become one of the special people in his life, and he doesn’t have a lot of special people either 

but then he’s like shit

you’re a different kind of special 

so he spends a little bit more time with you because, as he says it, “it’s either i hang out with you, or i overwork myself practicing. and i don’t want to hang out with iwa-chan cus he’s just mean”

i mean it makes sense though and maybe you want to think it’s cus he likes you but you don’t want to bet on that. don’t want your heart broke

but it’s on one of the nights that you guys are hanging out, doing something simple maybe just hanging in his room and he’s watching some volleyball games while you’re practicing some sketches in your sketchbook

he becomes ever so slightly more vulnerable with you 

talks about his plans for the future after high school

and to his surprise you’re supportive

even if it means he might be leaving the country

and he impulsively confesses

which kinda surprises you but it works well 

but you easily reciprocate said feelings and even when the relationship becomes long distance, it works because you both want it to.

For BNHA: I ship you with midoriya izuku! and I know I know it’s kinda funny to me too that it’s like oikawa in one and then midoriya in the other BUT I THINK IT WORKS.

why you two work well!!

Deku’s always one to learn about the people around him, ways he can implement how other heroes fight to how he can fight. Deku’s just extremely smart and has to be extremely creative in order to fight using methods from heroes with starkly different quirks from himself. I feel like the two of you would end up talking about what the two of you learned, learning more things from each other, and be able to bounce back and forth. Though, since you are on the more shyer side and Midoriya’s kinda awkward I think once you guys get past that level of awkwardness and you btoh realize how much you have in common you guys become fast friends!

how you got together

so you’re probably in the support department in the same class as Mei Hatsume, 1-H 

Although Mei is the one Midoriya had gone to for outfit changes, you were always there and had given more tips as well

Actually, when Midoriya goes back to thank Hatsume for a particularly helpful change on his uniform, Hatsume tells him to thank you instead!

he’s awkward about it but it kinda cute tho ya know

i also think midoriya ends up rambling about other ideas he has for his outfit

you’re sure to give him your two cents but then it ends up being sorta the two of you rambling and bouncing ideas back and forth!
