Working in the international student center is so fun because one of my jobs as a domestic student (to the United States bc that’s where the school is) and a social studies teacher is that I have to explain us politics to my coworkers. My favorite moment was when I was attempting to answer my coworkers’ question “why are all of your politicians so old?” And half way through me explaining term limits and election finance she stops me and with the most bewildered face I’ve ever seen asks me “do Americans think that capitalism is good⁉️” and I had to inform her that,,,, yeah mostly yeah.

generally you shouldn't write run-on sentences because they get confusing and it doesn't give the reader a break. that doesn't apply to me though my run-on sentences are fun and understandable and they have a rhythm to it that makes you want to keep reading

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? in this au, they all met due to working within the castle grounds.

in this au, celestia is queen, luna is still banished, and twilight is discouraged from making friends as it distracts her from her studies. she is celestia's heir and grew up in the castle.
