Bad/Good Cop (Visual Novel)
Created by: EllyTheHuman
Genre: Mystery
Persona like UI and art, mystery style game and a yandere that is kind of incompetent and likes to get beat up? Sign me up! This is currently a demo, but I am already pretty on board with the protagonist Amako and the yandere that is her sidekick/obsessive stalker, Arashi.
The story starts out with Amako Sakamoto going to a cafe with her coworker, Jessica. After ordering her usual and offering to pay Jessica's half, Jessica seems very impressed that Amako already knows so many of the neighbors here, despite only having transferred about two months ago. Jessica comments that there was another person, Arashi Kamado who transferred in around the same time as a CPS support specialist, with what seems like him having a crush on Amako, at least from Jessica's point of view. After getting their drinks, the two can either wander around near Amako's apartment, go to the park or go back into the office. Going to the apartment will have Amako notice that she's missing her tshirt while going to the park will have Jessica see what looks like Arashi following them, either way, they are called by Jessica's brother, John who nags them to get back into office (unless they go to the office first, in which John will comment that they are early.
Either way, before Amako goes back to work, she realizes that she left her handkerchief in the breakroom and can decide to get it now or later. If she decides to go into the breakroom, she will run into Arashi, who startles her and gives her back her handkerchief. Arashi comments that he was going to grab a snack before Amako going back to work, with Arashi muttering that he still has her shirt.
We then cut to Amako going to the last house to check in on the various people she's helped, specifically Ms. Gabriel and her son Micheal, whom she helped with getting them out of an abusive household. After a cute interaction with Amako where Micheal gives her a nice drawing, she goes back home. Unfortunately, she's out of food and has to either skip dinner or go to the fast food restaurant, which requires her to go through a creepy alleyway.
If she decides to go to bed, she'll find that someone is there, with Arashi knocking her out and kidnapping her to a new location.
If on the other hand, Amako decides to go out, she will be a bit hesitant at first before deciding to look at the drawing Micheal drew for her to cheer her up. While reminiscing, Amako accidentally drops the drawing, causing Arashi who was trying to swing a bat to knock her out to completely miss. Arashi tells Amako to stand still so she can be knocked out, but Amako is able to dodge and threaten to break his arm (which he takes happily to). Arashi then starts going off about how much he loves and adores Amako before outright confessing to her. Arashi attempts to corner Amako before she threatens to call the police, but is interrupted by Mrs. Gabriel who is trying to look for her son. Amako runs towards Mrs. Gabriel's voice, where she explains that Micheal was taken away while he was playing in the backyard. Arashi interrupts to offer and drive the two to Mrs. Gabriel's house. Arashi seems pretty indifferent to the plight of Mrs. Gabriel before Amako explains the situation. It seems that Arashi does remember talking to the ex husband, stating how annoying he was and how he would kill him. An officer asks for the two's identity to get Micheal's case file, to which Amako calls the office to ask Jessica. However, when Jessica goes to look for it, it seems the entire case file is gone before Jessica abruptly stops and hangs up. Amako decides to get the file herself and runs to work, though she and Arashi can't seem to find anything. Despite this, Arashi ends up finding Jessica's nametag in the break room. Arashi gets a call from a stranger, who threatens to get the two to go to a specific location or else something happens to Micheal. Arashi after the call tries to get Amako to forget about Micheal, but Amako refuses, even if she could die, with Arashi promising to tag along, happily going along with the "date" that they will embark on.
Although it is just a start to a mystery, it already is intriguing with a pretty go-getter main character having to also work together with her yandere stalker. I always like main characters in visual novels that are more active in what they want as it leads to more of them driving the story along rather than having someone else drive it for them. Amako is pretty good as a protagonist as she is pretty proactive in her job, something that likely relates to her past in some way, perhaps she too had an abusive father when she was younger, and is determined to find Micheal even if she dies from it. She also is a kind person, already knowing and talking to the people around her despite only being here about two months. I also think it's pretty funny watching her passively brush off Arashi's murderous comments and telling him to maybe don't do that.
Arashi on the other hand, we don't really know too much about, other than he transferred around the same time as Amako and has a rich family. He seems to be pretty antisocial and weird to anyone but Amako and although Amako is kind of oblivious about it, Arashi does eventually spell out that he is in love with her. Other than being kind, we don't know exactly why Arashi is in love with Amako. We do know that he's been stalking and taking things from her, and he does successfully kidnap her if she decides to skip dinner, which makes me wonder where exactly he would have brought her. He seems to know what is going on with the kidnapper as he even warns Amako that she might not be able to come out alive if she agrees. He seems to be a mix of obsessive stalker and slight worshiper given that he praises Amako for what she's done and has been keeping things from him. He doesn't seem to care about anyone but Amako but will take any praise or even insult from her. He also can be a bit clumsy given that he tried to knock out Amako in the alleyway but kept missing, making me laugh a bit.
The UI and artwork is reminiscent of Persona 5, with the use of reds and the textbox looking like something that was very strongly influenced by it, and the idea of justice. I'm wondering just how much the plot will be influenced by Persona 5 as well, but either way I think it would be something fun to be influenced by. I wouldn't mind it, that's for sure. I do hope in the future that there will be sprites for both John and Jessica because it looks really werid
Overall, a good start to a mystery. I have a feeling I'll like Amako and Arashi's story together, considering that Arashi as a yandere is very fun to me and I like Amako's personality. Plus, I am curious about how they'll be able to save Micheal and how Arashi's yandereness will feed into it all.

Today’s Thought: Doctor/Patient Scene
You’ve been a regular at my practice for years now. Had been one of my first patients when I started, I knew you were around my age and well let’s be honest I knew basically everything about you. So when I saw you in my office I could tell something was off, that look in your eye was different.
You were only wearing that little gown we always give patients for physicals. The type that didn’t close in the back. I asked you to lay down on the hospital bed, you obliged, a little more eagerly than normal. That’s when I saw it, a bulge in the incredibly thin fabric. I smirked before pretending not to notice. Smiling back at your nervous expression instead.
I started my normal procedures before changing it up. If you were going to come to my office like that it just meant I got to tease you a bit at least. I went from gentle touches around the body combined with standard questions to focusing exclusively on your nipples and thighs in silence. I watched you squirm under my touch but never move away. Rather you’d arch your back as if wanting more. You quickly turned your face away from me but I could tell it was having it’s intended affect. If your quiet moans and blushing face weren’t enough, the twitching going on down there sure was.
I lifted the gown. You gasped as the cold air hit your dick. I grabbed it and squeezed. A whimper falling from your lips. Using my other hand I grabbed you by the chin and made you look into my eyes.
“Gotta make sure everything’s working right, ok?” I say, a blatant excuse to start stroking but you don’t care, stupidly nodding as the pleasure takes over. Feeling too good as you cum in my hands before I can keep experimenting on it. A whorish moan living your lips. This only fuels me more. What other noises had you been hiding from me all these years? I must learn them all.
“Flip over. We’re not done.” I’m exploring every inch of this body. More so than usual at least.

action items white people can consider to make fandom spaces more inclusive for bipoc:
rec/kudos/comment on fanworks made by poc
consider what roles characters of color take in your own work. do black and brown characters exist solely as emotional support for central white characters? are black and brown characters sidelined for white character arcs? do black and brown characters appear solely to Talk About Racism (aka be the Magical or moralizing force for a narrative)?
(consider: Not Doing That)
reflect on whose voices get centralized/prioritized in any given narrative
listen to poc who express discomfort/frustration/critique of the text or fanon without feeling the need to defend either (or recognize you don't need to insert yourself into some conversations)
conversations around racism in fan spaces almost always get derailed into debates about ships or The Literal Text, but in my experience some of the most alienating aspects of fandom are the subtle ways that white people signal us as "other," i.e. acting as though race and queerness are distinct categories (there are queer bipoc! we invented a lot of queer culture!), framing nonwhite characters as unrelatable or undesirable, and reproducing stereotypes in fanon narratives. these become exhausting to encounter, whether or not we're part of the larger fandom ecosystem, and because it's systemic, it becomes impossible to avoid. which means white people's escapism corner is another site that poc have to navigate very, very carefully.

i legit love when a character's gender is so integral to their personality (and perception obviously.) like so concrete that if genderbent their whole shtick would just be absolute dookie. anyways i'm just writing this text so i can talk in the tags (My beautiful safe haven)
youtube
this 14 minute song is soooooooooooo FYRE
#text#actually i'm thinkinbg about this only cus i'm drawing female neloff and i'm just like#Elder dookies fans already hate females..... imagine them tryign to handle a woman with NPD that is reaching toxic waste levels#old decaying female with NPD.#but i'm also drawing female neloff for fun cus i have an idea for a look; i don't think it's a good idea#and he is just one of those characters that feel very good in the strict cismale box.#i also feel silly talking about gender-anything in any fiction because that's a topic only Am*ricans with no real problems sweat about#if that makes sense#just not something that interests me in the slightest#actually this might jsut be fascinating 2me because it is interesting indeed to see the different ways narcissism is treated. in characters#if i keep saying females instead of women it's bc i legit love that word. Sorry#and el*nwen+ulfr*c too are those female+male respectively perfectly fitting characters too#but notice how i didn't say cis. exactly. i'm thinking about the person that said elly did his top surgery in the torture basement. 4 free#or maybe i said that and they jsut said they're both t4t. Mmmaybe#the absolute W we copped with elly being the ' ' Big Bad ' ' th*lmor as a woman who is just obsessed with the luxuries of life.#stereotypical high society woman#she's so cute#i might just be obsessed with exploring very traditional dynamics too. i love keeping it grounded yk#Me after reading too many geriatric centuries old novels and huffing copium on sk*rim#i think i legit hate having fun with wilder character personality-morphism (because it is useless) that's not working with what u have#i'm just saying things that will make sense only 2 me now. Bye#why did i develop interest-related nihilism that extends to me hating fantasy franchises and anything that isn't non-fiction#i love it tho makes me feel so sophisticated#this is what happens when nobody humbles you while you draw regurgitated glorified studentXteacher (with a medieval twist) for a year.#i'm so excited for the year to be over not bc it's bad for me but bc i wanna see what all of the n*lvas art i drew looks like together#i wanna compile it like i did with eltl in 2023#n*lvas been treating me so well though liek i've been at such an artistic Peak especially after may#i'm always at my artistic peak tho.#i have a picture of n*relion on my mspaint canvas and it keeps looking at me while i'm drawing . he scares me because who gave him -#- the t*lvas hairstyle and the n*loth beard Bro.

Dexter S1 was actually that perfect prestige TV like the Sopranos and Breaking Bad, and it was filmed in a really good noir style which is why it's the best. I really found it hard watching S2 and S3 and only did it because Deb is my favourite character. I kinda wish they kept Dexter and Rita in their little ace relationship, but also past season 1 Rita just became The Wife™ character and they wrote her into the ground. S4 was excellent aside from the Rita issues, but I think I am enjoying S5 a lot because it's like a goddamn ao3 fanfic and it's Not Good but it's such a breath of fresh air and I like Lumen, like it gave the show something new and also I just think it's funny how fanficy Lumen is and she is matching his freak and I wish they kept her for the rest of the show and forever, she is perfect

☕🥱A Random Headcanon: How Marc Got The Coffee Part I 🥱☕
Collège Françoise Dupont: Boiler Room
Nathaniel: (visibly annoyed) So we’re really doing this, huh?
Nino: Yep.
(Down in the boiler room, Nino had set up a small desk with a desk lamp, a radio that played what sounded like the soundtrack of an old detective movie, a stack of books, and a manila file folder. The teen wore a fake mustache and an old-style detective costume. On each opposing side of the desk stood two chairs, the one on the right being currently occupied by an exhausted Marc Anciel. The poor, tired writer was suffering from the effects of his caffeine crash and could barely keep his eyes open. His make-up was a dreadful mess from when he had his breakdown earlier, his hair was a frazzled mess, the dark circles encased around his eyes looked as though they had gotten deeper and darker, and his body that had before trembled and twitched so terribly now struggled against the intense feeling of exhaustion. Out of earshot in a corner, Nino and Nathaniel discussed Nino’s plan, which Nathaniel found to be very unnecessary, and annoying, and he would have been against taking any part in this ridiculous plan if the artist was not worried about his partner’s well-being.)
Nino: I’m sorry, Nath, but this is the only way.
Nathaniel: There are more than one, much better ways we could handle this! I don’t think this is best for Marc’s well-being right now. Just look at him! (points to the exhausted writer) He needs sleep!
Nino: Look, I get it. Marc’s crashing down from the caffeine and needs rest. But we have to do this for his own good! We need to find out where or more specifically, who did he get that coffee from! (starts counting off his fingers) The first time this happened he asked you to buy the coffee for him because he knew you didn’t know he couldn’t have it. The second time he took advantage of Rose’s kindness and trusting nature to secure the coffee. This time, however, he must have gone to someone who didn’t know that he couldn’t have coffee, and since no one is fessing up, we will have to find out who the guilty culprit is.
Nathaniel: But couldn’t we just ask him after he’s had time to rest and recover? Interrogating him when he’s in this state just seems too cruel. It feels like we’re treating him like some dangerous criminal.
Nino: (puts a reassuring hand on Nathaniel’s shoulder) Nath, I don’t want to watch him suffer any more than you do, but I’m afraid it has to be this way to prevent another episode from ever happening again. If we let him sleep first, he’ll have more energy and focus to come up with a lie or ID a scapegoat, and it will be even harder to get Marc to confess the truth. Marc may be more reasonable when he’s off the coffee, but he definitely wouldn’t give up his supplier willingly, especially if he knows that the rest of us don’t know who gave him his fix.
Nathaniel: (shoots Nino an incredulous look) “Supplier”? Really, Nino?
Nino: (defensively) Hey, technically caffeine is considered a drug! I looked it up!
Nathaniel: (crosses his arms) Not an illegal one. Hence why I feel like you are treating Marc like a dangerous criminal.
Nino: Oh come on, Nath! The last thing I want to do is treat Marc like a criminal!
Nathaniel: (raises an eyebrow) Then what’s with the Sherlock Holmes cosplay?
Nino: Because we’re trying to solve a mystery and I thought it would fit the aesthetic! (sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose).
Nathaniel: (appears hesitant) I still don’t like this….this feels like torture.
Nino: Nath, please trust me. I swear we’re not going to torture Marc. Just give us thirty minutes or so to question him, an hour at most. If he doesn’t confess within that amount of time, we’ll back off and let him get some sleep. On the other hand, if he tells us who supplied him with the coffee before the time is up, we’ll let him sleep sooner. And I promise, I’ll back off if he reaches his limit. Whatever happens during this, I won’t make Marc suffer more than he already has.
(Nathaniel pondered for a moment, considering Nino’s plan and compromise. The artist still felt conflicted about putting his partner through an interrogation while he was so sleep-deprived. He knew how physically exhausting the combination of caffeine withdrawal and insomnia from the previous night was on the writer along with the mental and emotional exhaustion of the pressure that Marc was clearly under mixed in with the aftermath of his breakdown from earlier. Nathaniel wanted Marc to rest. He wanted Marc to get better. He wanted to see that beautifully contagious and unburdened smile spread across his partner’s face again and never to see that strained and unhinged smile or the exhausted frown again. However, as guilty as Nathaniel felt for even considering going along with Nino’s plan, he also knew that Nino made some truthful points to defend his plan. Nathaniel didn’t want to admit it, but Nino was right when he argued that Marc wouldn’t easily name whoever gave him the coffee. Rose and himself were willing to own up to mistakes those times they had given Marc coffee, but this time no one is willing to admit that they had given Marc coffee. And knowing the writer, he would try to play off that “everything was fine” and there was no need to worry about who gave him the coffee, desperately trying to avoid talking about what had been bothering him so much and what was causing all the stress and pressure that he was under in the first place. Marc was never one to be willing to talk about his problems with others and always tried to appear as if everything was okay as best he could because he didn’t want to make others feel worried about him. If they were going to have any chance of finding out how Marc got coffee, now was their best and possibly only time while the writer didn’t have the energy to resist telling the truth.)
Nathaniel: (sighs) Forty minutes. We’ll question him for forty minutes and no more. And when I say “that’s enough”, I mean that’s enough. We won’t push him any farther than he can handle.
Nino: (nods in agreement) Alright, deal! Now that that’s settled, let’s get to it. Get ready to assume your role, good cop!
(Nino took a deep breath in and out as he adjusted his usual demeanor into a more serious demeanor as he now bore a stoic expression on his face. As Nino started walking towards the desk, Nathaniel rolled his eyes in annoyance.)
Nathaniel: (annoyed) Right, forgot that Nino wanted to do “Good Cop, Bad Cop” too.
(The two boys approached the desk where the exhausted writer now had his head face down on the desk, moaning in discomfort. Nino sat in the desk chair opposite the writer while Nathaniel stood next to the cosplaying detective. The “detective” then reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a tube of bubble solution and a bubble wand.)
Nino: (blows bubbles from the bubble wand with a stern look) Rise and shine, Marc.
Nathaniel: (smiles nervously) H-Hey Marc…um…how are you feeling?
(Marc rolls his head to the side, revealing his dreadfully exhausted face to the other two boys.)
Marc: (moans) My head…feels like it's going to split open…
Nino: (blows another bubble) Mhm. That would be the caffeine withdrawal hangover for you. Though we both already know that you are well familiar with the feeling.
Nathaniel: (shoots Nino a warning look) Nino…
Nino: (clears his throat, unfazed by Nathaniel’s glares) Anyway, enough beating around the bush. It’s time we all talk.
(Marc lifted his head off the table to give the “detective” an annoyed, tired look. His expression then turned into one of confusion as he took notice of the outfit that the young boy was wearing. The writer turned to look at Nathaniel with an eyebrow raised in confusion.)
Marc: Nath, why is Nino dressed as Sherlock Holmes?
Nathaniel: (sighs heavily and pinches the bridge of his nose) I have asked the same question, Marc.
Marc: Wait, does that mean you are supposed to be Watson?
Nathaniel: (shakes his head and glances annoyed at Nino) No, apparently I’m supposed to be “good cop”.
Marc: (tilts his tired head in confusion) Wait…(yawns)...I’m confused….(points to Nathaniel) If you’re “good cop”...(points to Nino) and you’re “Sherlock Holmes”....then who’s “bad cop”...or…what’s even going on here? What are you guys even doing?
Nathaniel: (smirks) Actually, Nino’s supposed to be the “bad cop”. The Sherlock Holmes cosplay is just Nino doing his own thing.
Marc: (gives Nino an incredulous look) You do realize your “Sherlock Holmes” cosplay doesn’t make any sense if you guys are doing “Good Cop, Bad Cop”, right? I mean, for one thing, Sherlock Holmes was far too intelligent and dignified to resort to such a cliche interrogation tactic that wasn’t even developed during his time! Not to mention that Sherlock Holmes didn’t even work for the British Police! Yes, they did work together on a few cases, specifically with Inspectors Lestrade and Gregson the most, but still-...
Nino: (slams his hand hard on the desk, startling Marc with a jump) That’s enough out of you! Nathaniel and I are the ones asking the questions here, Anciel!
Marc: (rolls his eyes) And I thought Jean was over dramatic…
Nino: (regains his composure and clears his throat again) Anyway, I hardly think that you’re in any position to judge my choices right now. After all, you’ve made some rather “questionable” decisions yourself recently, now have you?
Marc: Not more questionable than your choice of interrogation methods…or fashion…
Nino: Got nothing to say, huh? That’s fine, we’ll start things off then. (opens the manila folder) I don’t care to mince words with you, so I’m just going to come out and say it. (picks up three pictures from the folder) We all know that someone gave you coffee and we know that someone had to be someone who didn’t know that you couldn’t have coffee for reasons that we all know too well, i.e. one of these three prime suspects.
(Nino places all three photos in front of Marc. The first photo was of Zoé Lee, the second was a photo of Devin Nolan, and the third photo was of Noelle Odeja. Marc takes a brief look at the photos and averted his gaze away from the pictures.)
Marc: You don’t know what you’re talking about, Nino. You couldn’t even be more wrong. (smirks tiredly) That ridiculous hat you’re wearing might be too tight.
Nino: (smirks, unfazed by Marc’s remark) Seeing as though you still have enough energy to be cheeky, you’ll have no problem naming your supplier.
(Nathaniel rolls his eyes at Nino using the word “supplier” again.)
Marc: What makes you think that someone gave me the coffee? How do you know I didn’t just get the coffee myself?
Nino: You mean other than the fact that you’ve done this before?
Nathaniel: (places a hand gently on the writer’s shoulder) Marc, we know you didn’t get the coffee yourself. We know your moms won’t let you have coffee and for good reasons, too. (The writer shifted his eyes away from Nathaniel, but the artist continued.) We also know that the coffee you’ve been drinking is from your mama’s shop since you would never betray the family business by drinking coffee from a different coffee shop, which brings us to the ultimate reason why we know that someone bought the coffee for you. You would never even think of trying to steal coffee from your mama because too good of a person.
(Marc remained silent, knowing he couldn’t argue with their reasons given that they were right. Marc was raised too well to steal anything and would feel like a traitor if he tried to buy coffee from anywhere other than his mama’s shop. Nino noticed how quiet the writer had become and smiled a satisfied smirk.)
Nino: (smugly) I’ll take your silence as proof that we’re right. Now then, as we speak, our three prime suspects are currently being interrogated by my lovely partner and her best friend…
Marc: (rolls his eyes in annoyance) Great…Alya and Marinette are doing this too, huh? Let me guess, is Alya dressed up as well? Is she Watson? Or maybe she’s that reporter from New York who always writes about Majesta?
Nathaniel: (raises an eyebrow) C’mon Marc, it’s Alya.
Marc: Yeah, you’re right, Nath. (smirks at Nino) She doesn’t quite share the same flair for the overdramatic as other people do (snickers).
Nino: (slightly offended) Mock me all you want, Anciel. One way or another, we are going to find out the truth. We don’t care how long it takes. We’ll keep going all day and night if we have to.
Marc: (smiles smugly) We can’t stay on school grounds past five.
Nathaniel: And we’re not doing this any longer than forty minutes.
Nino: We’ll keep going till five if we have to.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Detective Nino is on the case (whether anyone asks or not)! Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this continuation of the "Why Marc Shouldn't Have Coffee" saga. I was going to do a full headcanon, but I decided to split it into parts since it was getting rather long. Probably a bit out of character for Marc to be a sarcastic, smart mouth in this headcanon, but in his defense, he's exhausted. Stay tuned for part two when we read about Alya interrogating the three suspects. Who do you think did the crime? Share your thoughts, opinions, and theories about the guilty party.

Perhpas I'm misunderstanding this entire thing, but Loris pregnancy seems to be treated so cruely by the show in season 2. She has valid reasons of being worried about it, and a valid (though understandably problematic) reason to not tell Rick.
Yet when Rick shouts at her for not telling him, for taking the pills, for taking that choice from him...he's treated as the 'correct' side? Going as far for him to say "you threw them up you want this"...no. no that does not mean she wants this. We as viewers have just seen her have multiple on screen struggles with making the morally correct choice. we see her still struggle to make that choice seconds before swallowing them.
And I get Maggies anger at her- her hiding the pregnancy and the 'carless' sex she had almost endangered not only her but Glenns life. I get Glenn talking to her and giving her advice (but also making sure that she knows he isn't telling her what to do) because he's been forced to keep so many secrets and also risked his life. He comes to her with a respectful, friend type convosation where he urges her to tell but also understand that at the end of the day it is her choice. Beyond the shock and the pain of not knowing, Ricks reaction just screams male rage without listening to her genuine fears. Idk I just...It's so odd. It's a valid thing to get emotional over but the show seemingly agrees with Rick's side and beyond asking the question of 'what if' doesn't agree with her's like it does Ricks.
I'm sorry, but pregnancy isn't an easy thing in our normal world let alone in an apocalypse setting. Rick doesn't get a choice, it's not HIS ass whose being endangerd with 9 months of pregnancy, a childbirth in unsafe and unclean conditions, and then raising that kid. HE can leave- and he (probally?) won't but he COULD. The show treats the dicussion of her pregnancy as though it's set in our normal universe were as she treats it as a pregnancy in an apocalypse. And she is punished by both RIck and Shane for that outlook.

‘The point is not “is bftc good Jason characterization”’
Actually the point can be anything that the op of the post wants it to be. Oh you mean that is not your point. Um …. Cool. Nobody asked.
#*provides canon proof of Jason absolutely traumatizing teens in canon*#/s#*the whopping two instances are titans tower and the Mia Dearden incident*#both of which happened around the same time as uth. effectively making Jason approximately … eighteen or nineteen.#while Mia was 17 and Tim was like 16. wow how could this seasoned old man be so cruel to these literal babies#this is coming from someone who cares deeply about how different authors’ visions for bruce can turn him into a male power fantasy#but according to this person that's technically all fanon because the authors are fans of Batman who write him how they want#<- a needlessly complicated way of saying it doesn’t matter that almost every writer has written Batman as a cop symbol#because they don’t agree with those authors’ visions it’s just bad characterization#not consistency#anyway back to how any Jason fan who doesn't ascribe to your flawless interpretation of these iffy events is actually missing the point#mhm okay ignored winick showing Jason desperately saving children like three times in lost days#and other authors later wrote him being good with kids too#oh but even if he had the same trait in post crisis and n52 these characterizations are actually irreconcilable because they said so#kelseethe#for someone who seemingly cares so much about numbers and patterns#they tend to skip a lot of important panels in their ‘analyses’#like the panels in batman 650 where Jason mentioned the thousands joker killed and the friends he's crippled#and the lost days panels of him being upset about joker going on to hurt more families and fathers and sons#all this to claim Jason’s ultimatum in utrh was entirely self-centered#I guess it just goes to show how much evidence you have to ignore/disregard to come to the conclusion that Jason is a bad person#but yeah your vision is the be all & end all and anyone who thinks otherwise isn’t ~normal~

every single tony scott movie is queer coded. i don't think every action 80s movie is, and i actually don't think rambo is that gay. commando is pretty gay, that is not a new take. as far as queer coded villains go, mark l. lester, who directed it, has spoken openly on it. the lethal weapons movies were written by shane black, who some people (me, for the first time right now) have described as "only ever making homoerotic christmas movies". beverly hills cop 2 was directed by tony scott. the issue isn't top gun having a normie amount of male gaze mistakenable for gay longing, it's people not drawing gay erotic beverly hills cop fanart. so we agree on that.
