#but like she’s a child who was randomly introduced even in the manga so it’s kinda understandable

I’m still rotating whatever the fuck the Kikaider manga was but I think the one thing I DEEPLY appreciate about the anime now is that “damn they knew how to write female characters” because even if I should’ve expected it for 70s it’s so PAINFUL that all the lead girls had a crush on Jiro and not for any interesting reason, simply “they’re just girls”
Mitsuko still ends up becoming Jiros definitive love interest but there’s much more build up to it and no constant back and forth like the manga-seriously their relationship is SO MESSY there in comparison to the iffier parts of the anime-but also she isn’t defined by just being his girlfriend, she is still a actual character with her own growth and depth.
Then in 01 Rieko is not as developed but they actually do more with her “being a robot who thinks she’s human” because man in the manga the reveal is so anticlimactic, but in the anime even if you don’t feel for her it’s genuinely sad to watch her realization in real time, it’s also made eviler by the fact Gill IMPLANTED fake memories into her. (That wasn’t in the manga, she was just a nursemaid who didn’t know she was a robot) It mainly sucks she dies the same episode they revealed this but they also made her death actually sadder compared to the manga.
Then Mieko oh man in the manga she literally shows up in the second to last chapter for some fucking reason, so the anime instantly using her was already a plus but they took out any romantic shit and thank god. Her and Rieko are kinda fruity but in the manga they never get to interact cause Rieko dies before Mieko appears but having them feel connected to each other especially when their both feminine robots regardless if there was any actual gay intent was still interesting but also makes Miekos heel turn better cause she only becomes good in the manga due to uwu having feelings for Jiro but it being because Rieko dies and it effects her emotions is way more interesting.
Oh and I could also mention how mitsukos mom wasn’t a character at all in the manga or how even minor characters like Estuko got more or how EVEN the girl in Inazuman who was talking to Jiro wasn’t ORIGINALLY in that crossover but I think these 3 really highlighted the point that while there’s still some flaws they knew how to write women or maybe even had women writers on board and I salute to it.

OKAY OC POSTING
If you don't gimmie your OC lore in the replies I'm gonna take your toes--
Tumblr media
Introducing:: May Osewai - Secretary of Manga Theme Songs:: Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie | She's Out Of Her Mind - blink-182 | FUNERAL GREY - Waterparks Favorite Shit:: Anime Adaptations, Visual novels, Horror / Guro, Battle Royale(s), Monster Movies, Slasher Flicks, Acrylic Stands, Hard Covers, Asian horror, Foreign Films, Evangelion : Neon Genesis, Ghost in the Shell, Corpse Party, Torrent Sites, X-Men, Spawn, Teen Titans, Accurate Translations, Uncensored Doujins, Silent Hill, Serial Experiments : Lain
Japanese Native, although only half japanese, who moved to the suburbs of NY with her father while she was still in middle school. Outwardly, you'd think she wouldn't belong in the Eltingville Club (Aside from.. Girl--) She's quiet, generally keeps to herself.. UNTIL You try to mention anything related to Manga, Mythology Monsters, or Movies, ESPECIALLY foreign movies. A toxic fan just like the rest of them, she belittles "improper" American remakes, English Dub IS for posers, and she will die on the hill that Evangelion is an under rated masterpiece and that nobody actually understands the ending. If she saw how people interpret Serial Experiments: Lain in this day and age of the internet she would actually have a stroke. She became friends with the boys through Pete, though she attended school with all of them throughout their teens. One of her many nicknames was "Sadako", (and yes she would absolutely yell at you if you tried to call her "Samara" instead) due to her generally dead-tired expression and her hair, which used to be significantly longer when she was a kid, to the point that it eventually became her AOL handle (sadako_chan) as a joke to herself. She lives with just her dad, her mom having passed away before they moved to Eltingville, and according to him, Mr. Osewai wanted to try and find her a "less hectic" environment than a tiny Tokyo Apartment. Suffering from the curse of gifted kid burnout and also an only child, she extra didn't have anybody to build social skills with when she was young, so her outlets were manga and cartoons which turned into movies as she got older. She also will randomly blurt out facts she knows about franchises/films she is watching when she is with others (and.. honestly she does it even when she's by herself like a goof), but will get PISSED if people are talking during a scene she likes or something she deems "important to the plot". She also loves to rewatch movies, but gets frustrated when people don't notice or understand things the first time they watch something. She owns dozens, if not nearly a hundred different figures from various franchises, Western or Japanese, including the entire Teen Titans roster as poseable figmas that are practically her prized possession-- That's reserved for her signed poster for the original Battle Royale and her art book for corpse party. She is a bit of a gore weirdo, there's a reason she gets along with Pete after all, so don't be shocked if she starts going off about some random underground 4Chan shit like Metamorphosis on steroids.
Her birthday is September 9th, she thinks Mecha-Fans are a bunch of man-babies that couldn't decide if they wanted to be or fuck Optimus Prime, and absolutely will roundhouse kick you in the shins if you try to use her as an armrest.
Also, some of her favorite game franchises include: Resident Evil/Biohazard, Final Fantasy, Xenoblade, Silent Hill (Yes, even The Room), Mortal Kombat, Corpse Party (obviously), RPG Horror Games, and Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask to name a few. Oh, and the Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman games, but those are guilty pleasures she'll never admit to unless someone offered to play it with her--

In response to your analysis of chapter 350. Last chapter made me fairly certain that Izuku might be a potential host all along too. Seems like a lot of what AFO has been doing lately is trying to get him to finally snap. I keep thinking, maybe Izuku's situation as a child was similar to Eri's. Maybe he had a quirk that manifested so early that he can't even remember it, took out the father, Inko begs AFO or the doctor to take it away for Izuku's sake so he grows up normal and spared of an ability so traumatizing and horrible – hence the out of place "I'm sorry" she gives him in the flashback that hasn't sat well with me since I first saw it. Kind of crazy to think AFO might've tried pulling as many strings as possible to screw Izuku up and turn his overwhelming love and empathy for others into the intense Sasuke-style hatred he desires his host to have. As always, thank you for all your posts.
To me, it makes no sense to introduce a quirk this late for Izuku or Inko having some kind of dark backstory with AFO.
He "sorry" is so foundational in Izuku's origin, so character-defining that his mother gave up on his hero dreams in that moment - and I think if the message of the manga will be a simple "You can be a hero too", the framing would make no sense at all.
I'm strongly against and Dad4One and similar theories, because I think Deku is meant to be basically a nobody, who randomly got greatness thrust upon him to reinforce this message that everyone can be a hero (at least to someone).

That anaversary aizen looks absolutely fabulous, he looks like a figure skater xd.
I heard along time ago the last arc of the anime was being animated finally bc they pulled a 90s sailor moon were the last season was not either animated or dubbed untill decades later.
I recall near the end of the current 366 episodes there was an episode were the creapy demon ppl woke up in hell and we're all bitter, and there was the other guy who was like, iM cOmEiNg FoR u IChIgO, but then is never mentioned again after and I'm like, why? Why is lt there just plopted randomly into a different arc that seams unrelated.
And locking aizen up underground seems ok, but It deff won't hold, and he will. Escape, and he will kill, you either need that one spell from star, dubbed, the darkest spell of moon the undaunted, a powerfull dark spell that killed immortal beings, that came from best character, eclipsa, the queen of darkness.
We need that.
Or stick him I'm crystal like eclipsa was in star. Is there no one who could trap him in ice or crystal for all eternity.
How about throw him into the centre of a volcano trapped and caged , forverr being killed by heat?
I assume there's space travel, send I'm into a black whole, were a black whole don't fuckin care if your immortal or fat, you will die
:3
Yes, I love anniversary Aizen. His original octopus-butterfly hollow design was ugly so I'm glad he's back to being the fashion icon he is.
Locking Aizen up underground once is one thing, doing it twice after saying he got more powerful by just sitting there, and he escaped to battle the Quincy Soul King God... is another. I think he should have escaped at the end of the Quincy arc. That is the only feasibility.
I heard the anime is coming back for the Quincy arc as well, but because of COVID its probably going to be delayed. (I'm not gonna watch it until the Rain section of the arc then I'm dipping out. I'm only here for Zangetsu)
and funny that you mention that hell scene in the manga :)
-> spoilers for the new BLEACH 73 page anniversary chapter / thoughts/critique on it
So hey you had a premonition! Syazel .... returned? And his hole is outside of his body??? for some reason???
(I didn't understand the explanation or why / how that happens and what that means for the hollow)
And my friend and I were laughing because out of ALL the things. Kubo could do in this anniversary. He gave Syazel his dick back after going to hell. That is iconic. (that's where his hole was located, and now that its not on his body ... well...) This is the funniest thing Kubo has EVER pulled. Kudos to you, sir.
The entire internet is freaking out over Ukitake being in hell. Honestly Kubo has done far worse, and we've established that Soul Society is a corrupt system that hasn't changed, so I'm not surprised he would pull something like this.
At the same time, Kubo 1. cheated his audience. 2. continues to prove me right that he cannot bring himself to kill his characters
1. Hollows who have commit murder in their human life are sent to hell. Syazel and Aaorniero are two of these hollows, and yet, when they are killed, there is NO gates of hell scene. We see them there later in the hell chapter (which was more of a promotion for the fourth movie and I didn't believe it would hold any merit)
But the same goes for Ukitake. We never see the gates of hell take him. What, was hell late? Did hell's gates get lost like an uber before picking him up? It's bull. Withholding such vital information from your audience, not showing the gates of hell when they should pick up this soul IMMEDIATELY is ... I mean its a lie. Kubo lied to his audience.
2. Now we are told powerful shinigami are sent to hell when they die. First of all that sounds like a security threat. Wouldn't shinigami want revenge for that? Or attempt to escape? Why would they still hold loyalty after being sent to a prison of eternal suffering?
Also "Yhwach and Aizen" were the only ones keeping Hell's gates closed is way too convenient and doesn't really make any sense. I feel like Aizen should have deliberately gone to hell to retrieve powerful shinigami / hollows for his army instead of keeping it /closed/.
This is definitely a Kubo-doesn't-know-what-he's-doing-and-is -making- stuff-up-as-he-goes, but it might have a pinch of merit because of previous plot lines.... but either way, there's some big plot holes here, but again, its Kubo, so I expected nothing less.
Again, he can't kill off his characters. He introduced zombification, he introduced immortality through the hougyoku, he has Orihime and Hachigen's reversal / rejection abilities. He brought back Luppi, friggen.... a character who's entire upper half of his body was incinerated. Like.... come on. No. He's dead, you can't bring him back like that. That's a cop out and just weird. You're taking away consequences and grief.
(Also Yamamoto and Unohana deserve to be in hell far over Ukitake, they've done some fcked up stuff in their pasts unlike him)
Also Kubo's favorite character is Mayuri, which.... you're allowed to have a favorite problematic character. But Keeping said character alive and bared from the consequences of abusing his daughter, murdering innocents, and experimenting on your own squad members? Nah. Nope. Kill him, Kubo. Kill this dude.
(his weird attachment to Mayuri is probably why he keeps bringing Syazel back, since Syazel is Mayuri 2.0, but Syazel is the bad guy who does face consequences for his actions while Mayuri is not)
~
Also, I'm certain Kazui and Orihime are going to be THRILLED that their precious husband/dad is going to hell when he dies :)
(I just... Rukia teased Ichigo about leaving Orihime at home. She teased him about having a house wife who he leaves all the chores to. Orihime had two panels. She checks on her son who promised he would be at home and sleep. Kazui fcking breaks his promise like it never mattered to him and JUMPS out the window after pretending to sleep in front of his mother. ... An 8 year old... alone... in the middle of the night.)
Orihime is abandoned. She is not invited to SS, she is not informed of what is going on, her son leaves her.... I...
Orihime is a side character. She doesn't matter anymore. She hasn't mattered for a long, long time.
A part of me is glad she had little screen time, since she tends to waste it, but another part of me is embroiled with rage.
I've even see people try to defend this. "Orihime and Ichigo can't be together ALL the time, that's an unhealthy relationship!" and I'm like guys... that's not the point. The point is Orihime is not part of Ichigo's other life. Any shinigami stuff from now on is none of her business. She's going to stay at home while Kazui and Ichigo go off and save the world. Ichigo is going to be fighting by Rukia and Renji while Orihime watches from the sidelines, or worse, doesn't even know what is going on with her husband and son. Orihime is going to be uninformed and abandoned, because she has not proven she is capable of fighting by their sides(go on, @ me. I will fight this. She's a failure.), and also because she prefers a human life over a dead one. Which is ironic, because she married a dead man. Ichigo is a shinigami, and he will be one forever. god forbid she ever meets his Zanpaktou. She would tremble in fear at the monsters her husband harbors in his soul, especially when she realizes they don't care about her and would rather see her dead. (Zangetsu would absolutely kill Orihime. Not sure about Kazui, but Orihime has not accepted Zangetsu, she does not like either of them, and the feeling is assuredly mutual.) frick now I want to make a comic about this
Also still frustrated over Zangetsu's shikai / bankai regression. Kubo once again lied to his audience. Ichigo has no bankai. How ridiculous is that? The main character of BLEACH doesn't have a bankai. Insulting.
(RIP to Chad. He doesn't exist anymore. He's just gone. No mention, no cameo. Gone.)
Kazui is a demon child. That character from the novels? Hikone? They're the same character. Literally same personality, same power level. Its worse because Kazui is a liar. He constantly goes behind his parents' backs. He can summon creepy fish and creepy eyeballs and open portals like is ANYONE aware of this? How has SS not kidnapped Ichigo's son and experimented on him / locked away his powers yet? All substitute shinigami require a reiatsu controlling / spy badge to keep them in line. Where is Kazui's? Or is he just a weird fullbringer?
I was worried Kubo was gonna try and pull a knock off Boruto but luckily he kept the focus on Ichigo and the others. But that being said, Ichika and Kazui are now just... sort of there? Kazui was kinda just.... having his own adventure that doesn't matter to the plot at hand, and Ichika had some nice characterization at first but she just hid behind her dad the whole time.
I have a feeling Kazui is gonna step in at the last minute or do some major behind the scenes thing that indirectly interferes with the main plot so no one will realize how powerful and dangerous he actually is. Its sad because Ichika is the superior character in personality and likability, but she clearly is not going to have a bigger part in this.
Ichigo having a normal life after everything still feels extremely boring and uncomfortable to me. Everyone's like 'I'm still bLEACH!" but.... BLEACH just... doesn't feel like BLEACH anymore. It hasn't for a while now.
~~~
There's two new shinigami characters. Didn't care for the girl, but the Sign Language kid who talks to animals is adorable ... however... he just reminds me of Chad, and I just... it hurts knowing Chad has essentially been deleted. Chad and Orihime are officially benched. They have chosen the human world, and Orihime has given Ichigo his spawn so she has no more use/purpose to him anymore... ////sigh
~~~
Also. This is claimed to be a new "arc". So is the BLEACH manga coming back? What is happening. I thought Kubo was tired and didn't want to do BLEACH anymore. I thought Shounen Jump cut him off. People made so many excuses for Kubo and why the past two arcs have been so badly written the past 6 years and now almost everything they've attempted to defend him with has been revoked.
BLEACH is going to continue to screw up its plot lines and characters, so Its probably best for it to stay dead but I've seen a lot of Kubo stans drooling over this content, they're desperate for BLEACH's return, but its already given out all its possible revelations. There's really nothing else to top here. It's just going to make things up as it goes along ,and I'm not really here for half-assed writing like that, especially since the damage of rushing the previous manga has already been done. Kubo and Shounen Jump are riding off a money nostalgia. None of this was planned.
Honestly though.... overall feeling of this chapter, not as bad as it could have been.
Syazel stole the spotlight, and he's my friend's favorite character, so that's all that really matters.

@m4rim0 thank you for the tag (and for giving me the chance to talk about one piece)!!
1. What got you started watching One Piece?
When I was a kid the anime aired on tv after lunch, so I eventually ended up watching it (without really understanding what was happening tho) and then I read the manga for the first time around middle school
2. What got you hooked in One Piece?
Well, I’m a sucker for anything with the “found family/power of friendship” trope in it and I really love the world building (and ofc the characters!!), but what really gets me me everytime are the mysteries that slowly unfolds in the background throughout the story and the way that small details often end up being super important much later than when they are introduced
3. In One Piece who did you want to punch in the face so much, and why?
Probably every celestial dragons that has ever appeared in the series - and maybe Wapol as well, he was.....straight up annoying
4. What One Piece moment will stick with you forever?
Robin’s “I want to live” (I’m basic, but this is objectively one of the greatest scenes, don’t @me)
5. What One piece moment pops up randomly in your head?
That scene in Thriller Bark when Sanji is about to fight against Absalom and he’s like “I know you’re hiding a bazooka”. I remember vividly watching this scene as an 8 yo and thinking that was the coolest thing ever.
6. Who is your favorite One Piece character and why?
Oof, I’m the worst at picking favourites, especially if we’re talking about One piece.
Probably Sanji is one of my favourites (if we ignore the whole pervert stereotype that ruins everything), he’s shown to have good emotional intelligence and intelligence in general (all those situations when he disappears for a couple of scenes and then it is revealed he messed up somehow the villain’s plan!!yes baby!!). He just has so many good interactions with everyone, even with Nami and Robin (in those occasion when he’s not used for the “”pervert gag””, of course, which is why I’m so mad about it! It ruins the whole character!). On a side note, his outfits are super on point, fashion icon.
Nico Robin is a big fav as well, she’s a very interesting and mysterious character and I can’t wait to see her finding out what  happened in that missing part of history (also, I’m gay).
Special mention to Eustass Kid, who (at the point of the story I am) has appeared like three time and hasn’t had any important role yet, but still is up here cause I like his design/power (his hair.....spikey..)
7. How much has One Piece impact on your life?
I honestly don’t know? I mean, from a more “superficial” point of view, it had a lot of impact, it’s one of the media I’ve enjoyed the most in my life and right now it’s my main source of comfort. But I don’t know if it helped me grow as a person or something (I hope so!!), it’s difficul to tell since it’s something that I’ve known since I was a child.
8. What is you favorite One Piece saying?
i don’t rememeber the quote, but that short speech that Doflamingo made in Marineford, about how justice isn’t set in stone and the winners are those who decide what justice is??chills
9. What One Piece laughed get you the most?
I’m very fond of Brook’s laugh (also is one of the few that I’ve actually heard, I haven’t watched much of the anime)
10. How will you feel when One Piece ends?
Hopefully, I’ll be satisfied. There are so many things that I can’t wait to see how they will turn out, I truly hope they will meet up my expectations! It’s gonna be a bit sad to think that it’ll be over, but it would be worse to keep the story going just for the sake of it.
Tagging @jinbefanpage @britneys-spears @finallyimadeanaccount if you feel like answering!! And if any of you out there is eager to talk about One Piece and has not being tagged, please join in!

RWBY Chapter 10
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. I have been reading the chapters, but there has been a slight dip in quality since the beginning, and that’s mostly because nothing really happened since the last chapter I reviewed. There was the battle at the dock at the end of V1 and that was it. Not much to talk about.
This was a fear I had going into the manga, but it wasn’t like I was completely against it. To think the manga would completely diverge from canon was a fool’s errand anyway, so I was content with what we got. My biggest praise for the manga has always been the character work anyway, which I think Bunta Kinami does very well.
Even though I didn’t review the previous two chapters, there is a moment from chapter 9 that I wanted to spotlight, well a couple of them:
Tumblr media
First was this shot from the food fight. It wasn’t drawn in the manga for obvious reasons, but I like the shout out. This was easily one of the most memorable battles of the entire series (Though I do wish the manga expanded more on JNPR. It was fine in the earlier chapters, but it will be kind of weird when we get later into V2 and 3 when they get more screen time)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next are these three pages. Once again it’s Kinami’s improved character work that makes this scene work so well for me. In canon, after her talk with Ozpin Blake was adamant about pursuing the White Fang and her team kind of just went along with it. The scene fit in a way because the threat of the group was fairly urgent, but I think this scene works just as well.
Here, Blake is conflicted about going against the White Fang. Not because she’s scared of them, but because of the incident at the dock. She knows she messed up going out on her own, and doesn’t want her team - her friends - getting hurt because of her actions. She’s not a hunter yet, she’s just a student so its best to let the adults handle it. She basically has the dialogue that Yang and Weiss had in canon. It fits how she is written here instead of in canon where her characterization was still all over the place.
This gives her team a little more agency here since they are the one’s who spurn Blake into action. I also like how Weiss makes the declaration that they are a team (even if this version also kinda glossed over her prejudice towards Faunus).
Tumblr media
Now that is out of the way, onto to the actual review of chapter 10.
Tumblr media
Opening page is everyone going on their respective assignments. Nothing new here (well Neptune was introduced last chapter but other than that nothing of note), but I do like how the page is framed and how everyone shows a bit of their personality in the poses (also Yang has a helmet in this version, safety first).
Tumblr media
Yang and Neptune ask Junior for info so nothing really big there, but there is a little divergence with Ruby and Weiss that switches things around a little bit. It starts here where Weiss suggests Ruby search town for clues instead of Ruby just leaving her high and dry when Penny randomly wanders in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Ruby searches through town (which looks to be much bigger here) she sees a child near get ran down by Truck-Kun! Enter Penny.
The scene is similar to canon with Penny stopping the moving vehicle (even if it does skip Ironwood introducing the Atlesian Knights), but the added element of a child makes the situation a little more dire.
Tumblr media
Blake and Sun infiltrating the White Fang rally seems oddly placed. In the show it was clearly done at night, but here it looks like it takes place at the same time as the stuff with Ruby and Penny. The same could be said for Yang and Neptune going to see Junior. Though I do like the sense of scale the art invokes for the rally. Also no Neo, minus ten points.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back with Penny and Ruby, I really like the call back to chapter 8 (or 7 I can’t remember off the top of my head) what with Ruby reciting to Penny the same words she (Penny) said to her when she was looking for Blake (also how can you not appreciate this art?).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The chapter ends with Torchwick starting his attack and finding out Blake and Sun (along with more great looking art).
Not much in this chapter, but it does start to highlight one of the problems with the manga: the pacing. I said before that the quickened pace was a boon in spots (mostly V1) but its starting to hamper it as we get into V2. I don’t know if its because Kinami is trying to rush to the “good stuff” in V3, or he only has a set amount of chapters he can do and is trying to do as much as possible. Either way it really hampers the potential of the story. I think it would benefit immensely if he just allowed the story and characters to breathe a little more because its starting to really drag things down.
Aside from that. It’s another mostly solid chapter. See you next time.

Do you mind ranking/explaining the combat experience of all the girls in SNK that can fight (from weakest to strongest) also who do you think would win in the end?
Hello ! No I don’t mind but but it’ll certainly be a bit randomly / personal fav because depending on situation and context balance of power can be easily reversed. And strength aren’t all the same, there is brute force, strategy, agility and so on, so is there any ranking that can reflect what would happen in real situation ?
ANYWAY :
7. Yelena
Tumblr media
Yelena is certainly intelligent and gives off some authoritarian and powerful aura, but until then her only strength has been in pulling the trigger. To say that she’s dangerous is one thing, because her strength lies in strategists and wiles and actually it’s one of the greatest weapon in the current arc, but in brute force it’s difficult to say where she stands. Even when she’s shooting at people, she’s certainly hardcore, but you cannot say that she has skills like Sasha since her talent lies rather in aquiring trust and manipulating it than just being strong. But she must be strong enough I suppose, since as a Marley army soldier she had to get a rough training.
6. Historia
Tumblr media
Even if she isn’t currently able to fight, Historia belongs to the category of the most powerful female soldiers to the extent that she defeated the greatest titan ever. Although she’s not technically strong (apparently, her size is a disadvantage in the 1V1 fights) she’s nevertheless characterized by a certain force in the blows of bursts and the accesses of adrenaline that allow her to take the momentum. That’s how she managed to reverse the balance of power in some situations, when she killed titans alongside Ymir, when she projected her father into Crystal Cave and when she took him down, he as a fucking 120 meters titan.
5. Hanji
(I decided to put they in the female category to make it simpler plz don’t kill me)
Tumblr media
I went on the (quite well-made) fandom site to check Hanji’s stats, and wow, she has actually very good ones.
Tumblr media
Her propensity to excel in different areas, as well as strategy, initiative, situational awareness, manual combat as well as 3DG’s mastery makes her one of SNK’s best fighters in general. She’s obviously badass, but her strength is perhaps not noticeable as much as other characters because so far we have often seen her next to Erwin, the best in terms of wit, and Levi, the best in terms of combat. But Hanji, if she returns to the battlefield will probably be on the most strategist side since she’s commander of the SC, more than just a fighter.
4. Pieck
Tumblr media
Pieck may not initially be as strong as Hanji for example, but having a titan gives her more potential. In addition, her strength lies more in cunning / fooling and strategy than in pure power, and it’s the most sought-after form of force in the current arc. The only way to outperform the opponent now is to be able to see beyond the appearance that it offers and what its real goals are, and the intelligence for which the Marleyan soldiers always praise her (especially Zeke, which is one of the character most praised for intelligence himself) is a valuable asset in this context.
This is what allowed her in Shiganshina to change the game several times by taking over Zeke and Reiner who are among the most powerful antagonists at this stage of story. She also saved thanks to that Gabi during the Marley attack. And it’s what allowed her to reverse the balance of power with Zeke and Eren in previous chapters.
3(?) Annie
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do I really need to explain the reason for the question mark
Annie combines a substantial brute force, extraordinary speed and unique self-defense techniques that make her an outstanding fighter. She performs as well in her human form as in her titanic and this is probably what makes her one of the most difficult opponent on a battlefield. Moreover, unlike characters such as Mikasa and Levi, she has no genetic ground that promotes the strength she has shown, so her power is all the more admirable as it comes from her training and her own personal development. However, unlike characters such as Pieck and Hanji, she has no initiative or strategy particular. So if I place her so high in fact, it’s especially for the effect of terror she caused in the story. Her arrival sound almost apocalyptic : she was a monster who seemed invincible, whose motives were unknown and who assaulted and killed many characters while they were in an environment without a way out. The tension she made scenaristically was very great and still now, in the re-reading, I find that the fights best written were those that involved her.
2. Gabi
Tumblr media
Gabi is certainly still a child, and her potential as a fighter cannot yet be maximum, but it’s precisely because of her youth and what she accomplished in comparison that I place her here. Though we’re talking of a child, she succeeded by combining strategy, cunning and brute force, to win a war in one of the first scene we were introduced of her. And even if she’s based on Eren in terms of characterization, unlike him, her anger and murderous rage doesn’t really play against her but allows her to carry out murders without too much difficulty. Gabi’s real concern with this is more on an ethical and individual development plan, but in combat, she excels. It must be said, to her credit, that she managed to win a war, to infiltrate an enemy ship by killing one of their best sniper, remained alive while being lost in an hostile ground, and recently to behead the man considered the most dangerous in the world. If it’s not badassery IDK what badassery is lol.
1. Mikasa
Tumblr media
Mikasa, in addition of being favored by a genetic ground that allows her to manifest titanic powers while remaining in human form, also garners the experience of the fight of many of her famous predecessors and I wouldn’t claim anything as certain because the truths and lies about Ackermans remains to be verified, but it’s even possible that she access to the combat experiences of Levi (who’s still the undisputed strongest character, having managed to slash Annie, to slash the bestial titan, to kill more than thirty titans alone lately ETC …). And the fact that Levi has been greatly weakened lately makes her currently de facto the strongest one.
Not to mention her over-training and her years of basic soldier experience, she’s also the character with the most varied combat experience against basic titans as titans shifters. In fact, the only one against whom she didn’t fight yet is the Beast Titan.
Tumblr media
If she doesn’t have as much strategic intelligence as characters like Pieck and Hanji either, she still has a good margin of initiative that makes her one of the first to react in a crisis knowing exactly what to do. Therewith her development over the manga has made her  more and more responsible for the strength she has, and that makes her more reliable in situations on a larger scale, not running towards those she loves to fight for a greater good. In short, if I had to bet on someone to win a fight, it would definitely be her. But well, with context, situation etc. nothing is certain, and it’s just a personal random ranking.
Thanks for the ask, it was fun to do !

Seven deadly sins gem AU (cause why not) (part 1)
Okay so been looking through the gem AU's on this and noticed there's a few anime ones but, not a lot..so I figured might as well write one down cause why not.
Elizabeth is a half breed star sapphire who's been living on earth for many years now. Her mother died having her and her father wanted nothing to do with her. So she got adopted and has two humans sisters. Yet, she has been locked up in her house out of fear that someone will take and experiment on her. Thus why they live far out of a town and have a forest around their home, so no one can get to them easily. Yet, she sneaks out with two of her sisters on her 17th birthday.
While exploring they find a destroyed gem temple. Margert is a little on edge during the whole thing while her two other sisters are just running around looking at every bit of the temple just wondering what happened. Then they find a huge pink bubble with a green gem in it. Even though Margert tries to convince her sisters to leave, Elizabeth pops the bubble, releasing a gem.
That gem would be Meliodas who is green Quartz (secretly green dimaond), who is rather calm for someone who has been kicked away in a bubble for thousands of years. His gem stone is in the same place is tatto is in the anime and manga He buddies up to Elizabeth and Veronica quickly. Enough that they want to take him home so that he has a place to stay.
So he now lives on Margert's closet mainly because she doesn't trust him around her sisters and yet he has no where else to go. The three girls get closer to Meliodas over time, Elizabeth liking him as a crush, Veronica as a weird friend and Margert still is on edge about having an alien live in her house that is not her sister.
One day when their dad is out of town Elizabeth and Veronica sneak Meliodas out of the house so he can experience the new human world for himself. Just so he knows what earth is like.
They stop at a yard sale where Meliodas just kinda freezes in his spot looking at a necklace with a bright orange gem on it. He randomly just starts begging for them to buy it saying that he'll do anything. It makes them a bit curious as to why their friend is begging for a necklace even though he's male but, they figure he must like how it looks or it has something to do with what everyone back home did. So they buy it for him without really questioning it.
Once they get home Margert is waiting, ready to scream at them when she finds out about the necklace. She starts questioning them about it and demands to know why they would buy something without thinking. For all they know it could be a weapon from his home planet or something.
While they argue the neklcace falls to the ground, gem popping out of it. Everyone falls silent before Meliodas grabs the gem stone and rushes outside to their back yard. The girls follow thinking they've done something to upset him. Yet, as soon as they get to the middle of the forest they see why he dropped the gemstone, there's a giant gem reforming.
Soon infront of them stands Diane, the tallest orange jade on homeworld (gem in the same place as the manga as well) She shape shifts to make herself smaller as she introduces herself. Elizabeth instantly befriends her. So guess who else moves into Margert's closet for safety.
As time progresses they learn more about homewolrd and what left the gems here while in turn the two gems learn about human culture. The gems fleed their destruction at the hand of a rogue gem who has started a bloody rebellion back home. Meliodas and his friends took a stand against the rebellion leader but, next thing he knew he woke up from being trapped in a bubble for many years. As for Diane, she remembers is battling someone with a friend, then she just woke up from being trapped in a necklace.
So neither of them know what happened, just that they all got separated. So Elizabeth make sthem a promise, that she will help them find the rest of their friends. Veronica offers to do the same. Margert meanwhile just wants a drink.
While all this has been going on Margert has been working at a bakery in town with a boy she goes to collage with named Gil-Thunder (Gil for short). They have been awkward friends for years but, both are to scared to admit their feelings for one another. Yet, they are still for one another no matter what.
While trying to find more gems, Margret turns up back home from work with the stomach flu. While her two sisters are out doing something and her father is at work, Meliodas and Diane start to take care of her the best they can. This leads to Margret trusting gems a bit more...
that is until Gil calls to see if she's okay which no one planned for. Needless to say it's nerve wracking. Especially since Margret is to busy being sick in the bathroom to answer and Meliodas doesn't know what to say. He answers thinking it was Elizabeth and panics hearing a male voice. So he just freezes up and Diane has to answer the phone. She panics a bit and tells Gil that Margret is dying from the plague befroe hanging up in a big nervous mess.
Needless to say Margret is mortified and calls her boss soon after telling them the truth. Yet, she can't get a hold of Gil. The gems assure her it's nothing to worry about and Diane takes her back to bed. After Margert has slept for an hour however she hears someone knocking on the door. She tells Meliodas to go answer it, assuming it's her sisters.
Instead it's Gilthunder, who starts screaming swing a green male with seemingly glowing eyes standing in the door way of his crush's house while a taller female one is cleaning up a mess. The gems in turn start screaming because they have no idea who this is and are scared this is a government official here to experiment on them like in ET (which veronica made them watch). Margert runs out into the hall hearing all the screaming and soon finds her self sitting Gil down and explaining everything. And by everything I mean everything. Including her sister possibly being the same species of alien as the gems.
Gil is freaked out but, none the less agrees to help the gems just so Margert can get a break. So another person is add to the gem squad as Veronica calls it. And the search gets more funds backing it up.
The search however is put on hold during the town's Halloween celebration. Afterall it's the one time Meliodas and Diane can go out without getting weird looks or questions about why they're displaying. Plus they get to wear costumes which Diane finds super fun. Diane goes a cute pumpkin dress she found and even gets to try on makeup. Veronica goes as an alien for fun. Elizabeth goes as a princes while Meliodas goes as her knight. Menawhile Margert dresses up in all red pretending to be a vampire just to stand out. She soon gets a text from Gil during the celebration to come meet him up.
The whole group meets up at this old abandoned house where Gil is, also dressed up as a vampire. He tries to explain why they're all there when a glowing light can be seen from the top window and a blurry figure. Gil cuts the story down explaining that he believes is a gem in there. And then Meliodas practically drags everyone into the house.
Once in they hear echoing screams. As well as other creepy noises. There's lose floor boards and the lights flicker. Veronica loves it all since she's always wanted to be the hero in a horror movie like this. Meanwhile her sisters hate it since they get really scared during a lot of horror movies. Diane is fine, until she sees a bug. Same with Gil who screams like a little when he sees something move, which ended up to be a spider.
They're all ready to leave when they see a gem stone shinning in a light. Without thinking much Meliodas calls out one of his friend's names getting closer to it, only to get attacked by a corrupt gem. The gem looks like it's limos have all been stretched out and has the body of a ckeleton with no eyes and mouth down shut. As the humans run, Meliodas summons a sword. Diane leads the others out befroe returning to her friend with her weapon which is a hammer.
The humans are left sitting outside looking terrified. Soon the two gems walk out, corrupt gem stuck in a bubble. Once Margert finds her voice and asks what that was, Diane just breaks down in tears crying while Meliodas has to explain that somehow it's a gem that's form has been shifted into something monstrous. A form that is so painful that it made the gem lose it's mind and become a wild animal which is most likely what happened to the rest of their friends.
The night ends with the bubble locked in Elizabeth's basement and everyone eating comfort food as they watch a child friendly movie upstairs in their living room. All while Meliodas wonders if this is truely the fate of all of his friends.
A few days later to try and cheer them up, Veronica takes the gems out for some ice cream. Elizabeth demands to come as well which no one complains about. While hanging out and trying to cheer up the two gems, the girls are doing all they can. Yet, as you can guess they can't cover up the fact that their friends might have been turned into insane creatures that are in constant pain that by for death by attacking whatever they can.
The whole day is a bust. Nothing works at all. So Veronica pulls out the big guns. She drives all the way up to a waterfall they have that empties into a tiny broke everyone goes swimming in, just so the gems can be amazed by scenerary or go have fun swimming for once. Yet both Meliodas and Diane refuse to go swimming. That is until Elizabeth pushes Meliodas in. He freezes before laughing and dragging Elizabeth in by the wrist. Veronica and Diane gladly join in afterwards.
They spend two hours swimming and laughing, just all around having fun. Then Meliodas decides he's gonna jump off the water fall. He starts trying to climb it while everyone says to be careful and not jump. Yet, Diane seems oddly calming talking about he'll learn his lesson when he poofs. As she tries to explain it to the two girls, she hears a yelp. And next thing anyone knows Meliodas falls back onto the water holding something in his hand. Elizabeth screams assuming he's hurt and dunks under, grabbing him and dragging him to land. She starts doing CPR. He soon pushes her off and started to cough up water. Yet, soon he holds up a red stone in a ring. Diane freezes as Meliodas breaks out in a smile and just says, "guess who found Ban."
The rest of the night it storms while Meliodas sits close to Ban's gem whic Gil came over and took out of the ring for him. He just sits there hoping to god he's right and his best friend ever isn't dead while gem is resting on a red pillow, blanket over it, Meliodas sitting on one side of the couch waiting for his friend to reform while Diane sits on the other side so nervous that she's chewing her hair. Elizabeth keeps being over snacks and other things but, she's turned down each time. Veronica keeps trying to keep the gems calm which also fails. So the night is just everyone sitting around this gem on the couch, watching films on Netflix. No one dares say a word as it turns to five hours of waiting for Ban to reform when Meliodas sighs trying to find the words to say he was wrong and it's not his best friend when the gem starts to glow. Diane squeals in excitement as a red morganite reforms on the couch. He slowly looks around before seeing his friend and casually asking how long he was out. Instead of getting an answer, Ban just gets held in a tight hug by both gems and soon the humans join in to.
He just lets the hug happen, enjoying it a bit which he would never admit before he acts like his normal grumpy stuff which makes the two other gems laugh. Then he's setttled into a guest room downstairs which he will now be sharing with his friends, something Margret is thankful for, yet, the second the gems are alone they start talking about the dmiaonds and just wondering if they're coming for them for disobeying orders of coming home if they lived. It has them tiredfied enough to stop talking for a long time, while their minds scramble wondering if their friends were shattered of corrupted...yet, only time would tell at this point.
To be continued in part 2!

Also I actually do really like that Silver got an androgenous design without having a “reason”. Like uuhh, what i mean is the idea of him being cutesy and ‘feminine’ just cos his fashion sense is androgenous, and such. Anime tends to go all-in with the gender essentialism and be like ‘must have stereotypically gendered personality of the opposite gender’ instead of even just.. person looks like neither.. might have stereotypes of neither. And i mean in real life there are plenty of LGBT or gender non-conforming people who might be a dude with long hair who’s a tough sports fan, or a short haired girl who likes feminine hobbies or whatever. or just no correlation whatsoever between how you like to dress and what gender stereotypes you do or don’t have. Man when I was a kid I always felt weirdly pressured to enjoy sports and stop finding pet bunnies cute or else lose my ‘tomboy card’. aka the closest thing 90s era kids ahd to a conception of what being transgender is, lol. (man i wonder if i could have missed so many years of self hate if i grew up on today’s cartoons that have more canoncical non-negatively portrayed LGBT characters...)
Oh and also randomly a chance to mention how much i love Crona from Soul Eater, again! A canonical non-binary hero who’s 100% just portrayed as a normal person who exists and is nonbianyr. No overblown weird obsession with ‘uwu how sexay its a boy in a dress’ or ‘omg how weird we cant tell what gender it is’ or ‘omg stereotypical flambouyant scary gay tropes applied to a trans person who isnt really actually nonbinary but just comes off that way because this author somehow thinks that being gay and being trans are the same thing, and also that trans women are something less than full women’. And seriously Crona doesn’t have any steroetypical personality of either gender, and is a REALLY REFRESHING case of a socially anxious character being portrayed without either kind of weird gendered stereotype anime seems to have. Like the ‘uwu sexy helpless child’ if it’s a female characetr, or the ‘gross creepy nerd’ or ‘is allowed to perv on everyone because ha ha he doesnt realise he’s doing anything wrong’ version for male characters. Nah just.. shy person. Exists. Actual realism. Nothing else. kinda wish we could give more of this to the cis characters too, yknow? like seriously even nowadays we only tend to see ‘subversion! this anxious woman is actually gross and otaku instead of sexy!’ or whatever. just flipping the script instead of thinking ‘hey maybe we could write this personality like a personality instead of a pile of prewritten lines that nobody actually says in real life?’ ALSO ALSO!! I really like how Crona’s plot actually goes out of its way to subvert the idea of ‘must have a reason to be gender non-conforming’. Like there’s soooo much ‘this girl was forced to act like a boy because contrived circumstance and is really cis’ or ‘this character is just super depraved and thats why they act queer’ or ‘this character isnt human and their species is all nonbinary and thats the only reason they’re nonbinary’ or ‘this character got in a magic space rays accident that gave him a female body even though he was born cis, and him still identifying as male is thus kinda the opposite of what being trans is, yet we simulteanously use it as a chance to Talk About Why Trans Is Scary’. like the big sad twist of Crona’s plot is that they ARENT some magical created homunculus which would be an ‘excuse’ for being genderless. Its supposed to be a huge ‘holy fuck let me hug you’ moment when you find out they were actually the villain’s actual child that she experimented on as a toddler to turn them into a weapon. And like they also give a resounding no to the ‘crona identifies as genderless because they are two people in one body' thing because ragnorok is male. The actual creepy homunculus demon blood thing is the one who’s cis! Reminds me of how pissed off i get whenever people throw around the false fact that “Qus are a genderles species” in final fantasy 9. No, Quina is the only one who gets neutral pronouns, and the other two we meet of this magical fantasy species are both male. Quina is queer within the game’s world as well as ours! Also incidentally for some reason Quale was changed to female in certain european countries? I wonder why that even happened because he’s male in japanese too. Like thats an actual decision someone made, not a mistake. Maybe someone out there in the dubbing team crossed paths with my Really Weird Evidenceless Headcanon That Quan is Quale’s Ex Boyfriend and decided to pull a crusadermon censorship on him. Also that was funny because Crusadermon was a male-only species for ages in japanese, and female-only in english, so then when the japanese continuity introduced a female Crusadermon in one of the videogames it would give her an entirely different impression in the dub. Like the twist of her identity was way less surprising because we never had this perception of this species of magical robot monster as being male only. Though it was still a pleasant surprise in both versions to see a female alphamon! or transgender themes with a character who switched identity from male to female upon becoming human? it wasn’t super clear but either way she’s awesome!
OKAY IVE GONE ON EIGHTY TANGEANTS OKAY BYE
whatever in summary this is my reasons for still giving redesign-silver an androgenous fashion sense whenever he’s in different outfits, even though his hairstyle got shortified. You Have Implied The Potential LGBT Relateability, You Can No Longer Remove It. Also him and gold is a really cute ship in the manga, so i can’t not see him as gay/bi/pan. Every Route Leads To LGBT For This Man, Sorry You Cannot Stop It. ALSO crona and quina are great characters also, even if they have nothing in common with silver so this post is a big ol ramble of nothing i guess New Pokemon News just made me really hyper!
