starting off we have noob. Its hard to tell if theyd survive since theyre genfluid but seeing as their party skin is femme and in csghsa the most popular ships for different characters are canon love, I’m gonna say they have a crush on guest 666 who I hc as masc presenting SO theyre technically a het. Their survival will depend on how well they can keep their sexuality hidden, which I think they’d be able to do well, excusing it as friendship AND even changing how they present in order to stay safe.

i think shedletsky should be next. In forsaken canon, he has a wife, in forsaken fanon, he’s a dirty homo, so I’m gonna balance it out as him being bisexual. There’s not much information on how they treat bisexuals in csghsa, but since they’re still somewhat straight, Shedletsky might be in trouble. Shed gives off the typa vibes where he’d point at a girl and whisper to his homosexual friend that she’s hot, so Shed may be done for, IF NOT FOR THE FACT THAT HE CAN FIGHT!! Many people in csghsa have powers and shedletsky def would be one of these guys so I think his power would be related to the sfoth swords, which would be very powerful. With some luck, he could probably defeat Wilbur or whoever else would attack him.

Guest 1337 is in the same situation as shedletsky. Canonically has a wife (and even a kid) and is treated as a dirty homo by the fandom, so he’s balanced out as another bisexual. Again, he would likely be targeted for liking girls, but he can also fight, so there’s that. The thing is, he fights without powers, so he’d be at a natural disadvantage despite being trained by the army. Actually, he might not even be let into the army for being heterosexual, so theres a chance he doesnt have that training. In order to survive gay high school, he’d either have to dig deep into his gay side, or have the strength to beat an entire zombie army AND one of the most powerful gays on earth WITHOUT professional army training.

Next up we have the fabled two time. Masc presenting and canonically in a gay relationship, they’d survive easily. The issue only comes if either Two Time or Azure chose to present femininely, which the fandom sometimes does. As long as they both present the same way, Two time would be just fine! Now if they were to present oppositely, there would come the question of if they’d be mentally well enough to fight back against the soot family army, to which I say no.

Next is chance, my he/they enby king. Now, he’s obviously gay, and the fandom rarely portrays them as femme, so they’d be fine. If there were accusations, he has a damn gun.

Moving onto supports, we have Elliot. There’s a lot of difference in how elliot’s portrayed, and there’s the variable of them canonically using any pronouns, but since most of his ships are with men, as long as he presents masc and doesnt use she/her, elliot would be fine. If they ever get into the situation where she does find herself being accused of being straight, she wouldn’t be able to fight back very well, but that’s unlikely with how often Elliot’s canonically and fanonically referred to as male.

Builderman is next and there’s no denying he’s “one of them queers”. I don’t believe he has a wife, and he isn’t shipped with any women, so heterosexuality is out of the question. He’d be just fine. Even if there were accusations, he has a damn sentry. May not kill in-game, but being pelted with bullets would not leave you unscathed.

Dusekkar is up next and being shipped with a ton of men makes him a prime contender for attending a pride parade. However, there is the fact that I headcanon him as a closeted transfem due to her loveshot skin being canonically transfem. This transition would technically make her straight. There’s not much info on trans people outside of ranboo wearing the girls school uniform in the first episode, which isnt discussed much in the first place. Of course, base dusekkar is still a guy, so he’d be fine on his own, but if she was a trans girlie, she’d be done for. I won’t consider transfem Dusekkar in my final decision, but in terms of allegations, she may be able to hold the army off for a little bit, but definitely not forever.

Taph is a little hard to say, most people make him gay, and some aroace. I’m gonna say he’s gay just for convenience. He would be just fine as a little homo, but if they suspect he might be a straighty, well… he’d be just fine. This man canonically has bombs in his house. Taph could easily take down the army if he had enough traps to do so. Yes I know bombs dont do damage in-game but theyre still fucking bombs dude.

Moving onto killers lets start off with jason. Its hard to say what his sexuality would be, but some people ship him with guys so he’d do just fine. Hes also clearly in love with his knife so i’m saying hes objectum as well, which may not be taken very well by the gay high school society since they aren’t very commonly accepted in normal society. He may get harassed a little over it, but wouldn’t really be attacked too much over it. Not targeted by the soot family at least. Now if he was accused… well… obviously the killers are gonna do well if accused of being straight. Theyre killers. HOWEVER! Jason’s just a normal dude, a little childish even. He def won’t preform as well as other killers would, so he’d be able to hold out for a little while, but as all mortals do, he’d get overtaken eventually.

Now onto the c00lkiddlings. Why am I considering the c00lkiddlings? Well, I began questioning my sexuality around age 10, so why cant they? I will be considering the possibility of change since they’re still young and I’ve changed a lot since I first went woke. 

C00lkidd is tough to tell since he’s a kid and nobody really gives queer hcs to kids. Most I’ve seen is aroace, which I’ll stick with for now. 

There isn’t any info on how they’d treat anyone but straights and gays, so I have to infer a little. I’d say they’d mostly ignore c00lkidd for being aroace. Picking him last when making teams, being forced to pair up with whoever else is left during partners, sitting by himself during lunch, bumped into in the hallways without so much as a glance at him, the usual. He’d survive, but it won’t be fun.

Bluudud, well, if you’ve heard those audios -you’d know what im talking about if you’ve heard them- he seems to be a little queer. I assume they aren’t canon, but it’s what I’m working with since theres almost no queer hcs for him.

I doubt the soot family would set an entire army on an eleven year old, but she’d definitely get bullied over it. If they got physical, she had better say her prayers. Now once she hits high school like I’d assume she’d be in by the time the series would start, she might end up getting killed over being straight.

Now, why did I not discuss allegations for the c00lkiddlings? Well, again. They’re kids. Wilbur would not attack them himself. But they would get bullied if they were accused of being straight. IF they were in high school during the series and they WERE attacked, assuming they aren’t under the specter’s influence and they didn’t have the powers I mentioned earlier, their parents would be arranging their funeral long before the attack. 

The c00lkiddlings would most likely not survive the allegations. 

Back to the killers, John Doe is another shedletsky. Canon wife, fanon husband, balanced to bisexuality. Probably would survive being attacked.

You used to not be sure what to make of Charlie Walker. In the past year that has changed. He’s dorky and funny and when you think about it he’s definitely cute. When you think about it you absolutely have a crush on him.

Only problem, he’s had a four year standing crush on your best friend Kirby. Who has been teasing you to death for having a crush on the boy ever since you confessed the crush to her during a drunken game of truth or truth.

Sitting on Kirby’s couch during the after-party of the annual stab-a-thon is absolute hell with the combination of Robbie stressed out of his mind, Kirby filling in Jill on what happened and Charlie walking around in the closest proximity since the school project that set off this ridiculous crush you have on him, all that along with the looming serial killer that’s been plaguing the town and has stabbed Gale no less than an hour ago.

Yeah, safe to say this evening has not been going the way you’ve wanted it to. To be fair the only reason you were even at the stab-a-thon was because Kirby convinced you. Something about having to live for Olivia and making Charlie happy.

As if he cared if you showed up. He only wants Kirby. You thought.

By the time you tuned back into the conversation Robbie had started drinking his way through Kirby’s dad’s liquor, Charlie had put on stab seven and had sat down next to you.

He sat down next to you… to flirt with Kirby who was flirting back?

You didn’t know at this point.

Not wanting to watch that going down you got up of the couch.

“Where are you going?” Kirby asked.

“To make sure that Robbie doesn’t do anything too stupid.” You said. “Maybe laugh at him being a stupid drunk a little. You have no proof!” You teased.

Kirby laughed and Charlie had turned to look at you.

You made eye contact with him gave him a tight smile.

“I’ll make sure your best friend doesn’t kill himself.” You told him before promptly walking out before he could say anything else.

Watching Robbie wasn’t boring, actually it was quite entertaining. Him having his live-stream on backwards, walking straight into a hanging plant, which you were pretty sure you had gifted Kirby, it was all pretty funny.

Up until you saw Ghostface standing in the doorway.

“Robbie, look out!” You yelled out, but it was too late. You watched in horror as Robbie fell to his knees and when you looked up and saw Ghostface looking, what you assumed was right at you, you bolted. Running around the side of the house you could hear him running after you.

He grabbed around your side and pulled you backwards into him. With the quickest thinking you could manage you pushed yourself backwards as hard as you could knocking you both to the ground.

He however did not let go. You twisted around and stopped the knife in his other hand right as it was coming for you. You tried as hard as you could to force his hand away from you up until he took his other arm from around you and started pushing with both hands.

With all the survival instinct you had in you you managed to force his arms away and get it to start running away, only for him to grab your leg and drive his knife through your calf.

Kicking him in the face you managed to get loose and back into the house where Sidney and Kirby were.

“Oh my god! Your leg!” Kirby exclaimed.

“Turns out I do have that unfiltered rage and survival instinct inside me.” You tried to joke. Cringing when you sat your leg down.

“Behind you!” Sidney yelled and before you could even look Kirby had grabbed your arm and started dragging you through her house to a room that has a lock.

When you were both inside and the door locked you each took a moment to catch your breath.

“Robbie’s dead.” Is what you managed to get out in between gasps. “He was running around outback and when we wanted to go back inside there he was. Fucker chased me all the way around the house.”

“Fucking hell.” She said before guiding you towards a wall that you easily slid down.

And then it was quiet for a bit, both processing what had just happened.

“I’m sorry about earlier.” She said. “I hadn’t meant to flirt with Charlie like that. It’s just so easy to tease him. Maybe you’ve rubbed of on me.” She added with a shrug after seeing your confused glance.

“It’s alright, I get it. I mean, he is cute.” You said with a knowing smirk. “I hope everyone is alright. I mean who knows who else has fallen victim.”

“Oh my god Sidney.” Kirby looked at you with wide eyes before walking towards the locked door.

“Uuh Kirby, I’m sure she’s fine. Or at the very least I want you to be fine. Which means staying in the room with the locked door.” You emphasised knowing what she was about to do.

“I can’t leave her out there, and… and Jill’s out there too.” She looked at you with exasperations.

“Fine, but first we try to reach 911 or anyone who can call for help.” You said.

“Deal.”

by the time Kirby got back with Sidney you must have tried calling 911 at least twenty times.

Sidney looked around the room before her eyes landed on you, still sitting on the floor.

“How’s your leg?” she asked while eyeing it worryingly.

“Hurts like a bitch. I’ve wrapped it with a piece of my shirt so at the very least the bleeding is somewhat contained.”

You wanted to say more but before you could Charlie appeared outside the glass door, smearing blood all over it. Begging to be let in.

All three of you looked in horror and shock not knowing what to do.

“If you aren’t sure if you can trust him, don’t let him in.” Is what Sidney said and so Kirby didn’t open the door.

Which we all quickly regretted when Ghostface appeared behind him. Slamming his head into the glass and the dragging him into a chair to tie him up into. That’s when Kirby’s phone started ringing.

It was Ghostface. Asking his sick questions in exchange for Charlies life.

Sidney tells the two of you that she’s going to go get Jill and leaves.

Kirby starts answering questions and when she gets one wrong she goes quiet for a moment before looking at you and saying he wants you to answer the next one and if you get it right Charlie lives.

You get up off the ground and limp over to her, taking the phone.

“Well, dear little Iris. Given that you’re the one with the crush how about you decide whether he lives or dies. What are the names of the two boys that help Sam save his bother from the lost boys?”

You’ve watched this movie countless times, several times with Olivia, Jill and Kirby and another several times alone so the answer comes easy to you even during a time like this.

“Edgar and Alan Frog. Their names are Edgar and Alan Frog.”

The line goes dead and you both rush to get to Charlie.

You staying slightly behind due to your leg.

Through Kirby’s apologies you manage to get Charlie inside and the door locked ones again.

Kirby looks embarrassed before she says she’s going to find Sidney and Jill. Before you can stop her she has  already left the room.

Limping over to the now closed door you lock it.

You slide down onto the ground beside the door and opposite of where Charlie has sat down.

You both sit like that for a while in silence before you break it.

“I’m sorry we didn’t let you in. I am truly so sorry.” Looking down at your feet you don’t see Charlies smile before he answers.

“It’s alright, I probably would have done the same if I was you two.” He takes a deep breath before adding. “Plus it was mostly Kirby and Sidney. I mean, you can barely stand.”

You scoff at that.

“Yeah that’s true.” There is a beat of silence before you once again break it.

“Listen, Charlie. I know that we aren’t exactly close so this might come out of no where to you but with a high chance of one if not both of us dying tonight I feel the need to tell you this.” There’s a pregnant pause before you continue. “I’ve had a crush on you for the past year now and I know that this is shit timing and honestly if it wasn’t for this psychopath trying to kill us I probably wouldn’t have said anything at all but you deserve to know.

I’m not expecting you to suddenly get over your crush on Kirby and walk off into the sunset with me but you should know. Just so that it’s out there. Sorry for springing this on you but yeah… I wanted you to know.”

And then it’s quiet again. For quite a while but you don’t regret saying anything. That is until Charlie gets up from the floor and moves over to sit next to you.

“I kinda like you too.” He says.

“It’s alright Charlie you don’t have to do this. I get it, you like Kirby and I know I’m not competing with her.”

He raises his hand slightly and hesitates before placing it on top of yours.

“I do, really. I won’t lie and say that I’ve had a crush on Kirby for years but this year that sorta shifted. I started thinking about you and that scared me so I kept up the whole ‘I’m in love with Kirby’ act. I never thought you’d also like me.”

You raised your head to look at him and found him already looking at you. He put your hair behind your ear and smiled. You smiled back.

“I’m not all that convinced yet but I’ll take your word for it.” Your eyes shifted from his to his lips and you hoped he didn’t notice. He did. His eyes also darted between your lips and your eyes.

“This would be a great time to convince me you do like me.” You said leaning in a bit.

“And how do I do that?” He asked following your lead.

“By kissing me maybe. I feel like that might convince me.”

And then he did, he leaned in all the way and placed his lips against yours.

And when he did you could feel him sigh against your lips, like this was something he had always wanted and had finally gotten.

Your lips moved against each other for a while before pulling away.

“Did that convince you?” He asked with a breathy smile on his face.

“Maybe. Although not entirely yet. Maybe you should do it again.” You said in the same breathy tone.

He smiled wider and leaned in to kiss you again but the moment his lips touched yours Jill’s voice could be heard outside the locked door.

“Is someone in here? Please help.”

Charlie looked at you before you nodded and he got up to open the door. Jill stepped into the room and when you had finally made your way onto your feet you felt something hit the back of you head.

The next time you woke up you were in a hospital bed.

Your head throbbed slightly but for the rest you felt no pain. Painkillers probably.

It was night. The barely lit room and the dark sky outside the window gave that away.

You tried to sit up and groaned in the process of doing so.

The curtain on your left shifted and out from behind in came Charlie, attached to his own IVF that you just noticed was also attached to your hand.

“Good morning sleepyhead.” He said with a slight smile.

You returned it before asking what had happened. The last thing you remembered was what you presumed getting hit on the back of you head before passing out.

“Mind if I sit with you while I explain?” He asked with a slight sigh but a small smile nonetheless.

“Not at all.” You said already moving over to make space for him.

Once he was seated he turned to you and began to explain.

“It was Jill and Trevor. They pulled a real Bonny and Clyde on us. Decided they were going to kill us all and blame one of us. They were going to play themselves off as the only surviving victims but that didn’t work out the way they wanted.” He turned to look you in the eyes and when he noticed you playing with the bedsheet anxiously he placed his hands atop of yours. Intwining your fingers.

You looked him in the eye and nodded, letting him know you were listening. And so he continued.

“After she hit you on the back of the head I acted fast and slammed her head into the wall. I uuhh…. I might have slightly ran… towards the kitchen and she followed me. Trevor was there and he tried to shoot me but I ducked and he shot Jill instead. When he saw what he had done he shot himself. I walked back to you and the cops arrived shortly after.”

You processed what he said before turning to him again.

“So… it’s over. They’re dead and we’re not?” You asked.

He nodded at you and squeezed your hand. You also nodded before asking him if he wanted to lay with you. He did. You both laid there for a bit before he pulled you closer and kissed your forehead.

“Thank you Charlie.”

“What for?” He asked.

“For staying with me. You could have easily waited in the kitchen or ran for it but you didn’t. Actually, you kind of saved us all by thinking quick and ducking. Who knows what would have happened had you not done that.”

He chuckled slightly and kissed your head again. You lean your head upwards and kissed him softly. The kiss didn’t stay soft however and you both had to break apart for air soon enough.

“Can I touch you?” He asked oh so sweetly and when you whispered out a soft yes his hands started wandering down your waist.

The kissing, or rather making out, resumed as his hands kept wandering.

Slipping under the hospital gown he grasped the waistband of your underwear before breaking the kiss.

“Can I take this off?” You nodded heavily and he slipped your panties off.

He fingers started toying with you as he swallowed every gasp and moan with his lips.

Dewey was way too caught up with everything to question his story so as far as anyone knows he was completely innocent and he got the girl. He could not be happier.

…eh fuck it, here’s definitely my most controversial Hazbin Hotel opinion and why I think it.

I don’t Adam and the exorcists are entirely in the wrong, and I don’t think Charlie is entirely in the right.

Let me explain before you go at me. Buckle up, this is a long post.

Hell is a horrible, horrible place. That’s just a fact. The worst of the worst people end up there. Rapists, murderers, child molestors, genocidal dictators, etc. It’s the place for awful people.

Heaven is the place where a lot of those people’s innocent victims would end up. Those raped and murdered, killed for amusement or because someone hated them for no good reason, who suffered because of the awful people who eventually end up in Hell.

In Heaven, the monsters who hunted and haunted them in life can’t get to them anymore. They’re safe, able to live out their eternal existence in peace and safety while those monsters…

Get to continue being monsters. Is Valentino suffering for his what he’s done? Alastor? Vox? Zestial? All of these people who did things in life so awful that it earned them Hell now get to just… continue being awful. Forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and- you get the point. There’s no true punishment for them, because they’re such rotten people that Hell is like Heaven to them.

The longer they get to run amok, the more power and souls they can obtain. They can get stronger, and stronger, without anybody putting a cap on it. I think the angel’s fear of what could happen if those sinner’s endless hunger is turned towards Heaven is misplaced, because they’ve already shown us what they are.

Now, think about Adam. Think about being the First. The First Man, the First Human, the Father of Humanity, the one Made in God’s Image, and the First Betrayed. The First Heartbroken. The First to Watch His Child Die at the hands of one infected with the Sin that the angel he had once trusted and the first woman to betray him had let into Paradise.

He gets cast out of Eden, has to learn to survive in a world where anything could kill him and his family when he’d never known pain or hunger or cold or grief before. He grows colder, harsher, because he can not afford to be soft anymore.

He lives, he dies, he goes to Heaven. Finally, his reward. He can lay back and watch his descendants flourish as he rests.

Except… wait. That’s not what happened.

He is the First, which means he has to witness everything.

The invention of beautiful, wonderful things. Electricity, penicillin, fireworks, embroidery, space travel, books, painting, math, cars, so many incredible things. Fuck, he got to watch his descendants fly to the moon! Now they’re trying to get to Mars!

But alongside all the good, is so. Much. Pain. Genocide, poison gas, torture, the witch hunts, the atomic bomb, rape, trafficking, species he named and loved in Eden driven to extinction to satisfy that damned hunger that can never. Be. Sated.

For thousands of years he’s had to watch as more and more of humanity reached Heaven, and even more went to Hell.

If you were in his shoes, would you not be tired? Numb? Angry? Greiving? Would you not despise the ones who took paradise from your family?

I think there’s a lot more to him than the shallow image we’ve seen. There has to be. He is the First after all.

So I don’t think he and the exorcists are entirely in the wrong. I think that while there’s definitely a lot of fucked up shit they’ve done and I’m not excusing it, that ultimately yeah, they were mostly in the right. And really, is it not a mercy to some of the souls they’ve killed? Ending their eternal suffering?

Charlie has stated that it is her belief that all sinners can be redeemed, and it’s my opinion that that ideology is flawed. Because all means all. Every single one. I don’t think she’s really considered the fact that if they were redeemed than their victims who reside in Heaven then have to live with the monsters they thought they were free from for the rest of eternity.

It’s no wonder Adam doesn’t treat her seriously. She’s lived around 200 years compared to his 10,000+. To him, she must seem like a child who hasn’t grown up enough to realize that her fantasy world of sunshine and rainbows is unrealistic. She is the spawn of the two people who damned humanity, now trying to put monsters with their victims.

No wonder he was angry. No wonder he wanted her dead. No wonder he looked almost relieved when he realized he could rest now, that the weight of his children’s sins is no longer on his shoulders.

I was a tiny bit bummed we didn’t see Babe’s crash in real time, but Charlie being there when he woke up made up for it. A domestic moment is just as good as a whump moment.

The hallway conversation they had later was so good I watched it twice. Charlie totally lied about them not talking when they make up. These two definitely have better communication skills than that. And now I’m almost positive that Babe’s not actually going to cheat on Charlie with Willy. He’s going to play along to get information now that he suspects he’s working for Tony. Now, whether he tells Charlie ahead of time, is another matter. Bring on the angst and drama.

Nice to have it confirmed so early that Willy is working for Tony. The question now is, how much of what he’s done so far is because he wants to sleep with Babe. And what exactly does Tony have planned for Babe?

And was that hospital room trick the confirmation that we've been waiting for that Willy’s sense/skill is time related? He can stop time? Control time? So curious to know how it works. If he’s limited to stopping just a few seconds or if he can make it last longer.

They are really not drawing out the suspense over Tony. Kenta showed up at Pete’s and told everyone he’s alive. Poor Babe, first he’s confronted with the double of his dead best friend and now he finds out his evil ‘dad’ survived.

Kenta staying with Kim keeps Kim in play. I was wondering how they were going to do that.

I really really like where they are going with Jeff’s senses. It’s a clear reason for the research and treatment that Pete and Charlie are working on. If Jeff’s ability is changing and expanding like it seems, then it makes sense for him to want to get rid of it before it kills him.

Charlie lost control at the end of the race, because he’s lost his (Babe’s?) senses. So the treatment worked, at least temporarily. But in Charlie’s case, if the treatment worked permanently, does that mean Babe’s got his senses back? And what does it mean for Charlie’s driving skills? Has he been using them to maintain his place on the team, however unconsciously? We’ve seen that Babe clearly doesn’t need them to be a winning driver, but what about Charlie? Will this be a new source of conflict between them, that plays into whatever happens with Willy, if Charlie has trouble racing now?

Our hero, Major John Sheppard is stationed at McMurdo base in Antarctica at the start of the series. We learn that he likes it there. Sheppard himself tells Teyla in Sateda (S03E04): "Well, that [having no social skills] is why I enjoyed flying choppers in the most remote part of my world before all this craziness."

This is what John Sheppard tells us but we learn that what he tells us is not always the truth and certainly not the whole truth.

The alien AI that created a hallucination from Sheppard's own subconscious in Remnants (S05E15) poses him the question: "You're either someone with a death wish or someone running away from something. So tell me: what are you running away from?" Running away to the most remote part of his world, running away to another galaxy.

In fact, he has both been banished to and self-isolated in the most remote part of his world ("You torture yourself every day, John.") due to his "black mark" acquired in Afghanistan. We are never explicitly told what this black mark was, only that it bothered Gen. O'Neill and was something that Dr. Weir could live with. We are left wondering.

While we are shown something of what happened in Afghanistan during the episode Phantoms (S03E09), through the hallucinations from Sheppard's past of him failing to save Captain Holland, it isn't until toward the end of the series that we find out what happened through the mirror of a parallel reality in Vegas (S05E19), where alt!Rodney tells us "You were a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan but were dishonourably discharged for disobeying orders and trying to rescue a field medic trapped behind enemy lines. You were shot down – obviously survived, but unfortunately the crash killed four American soldiers along with eight civilians. You avoided jail time; the record was sealed for various political reasons."

The field medic in the Vegas-verse, one where "infinite variations of our own known reality where alternate versions of you and I play out events", is female; this revealed in a mumbled 'ur' (I didn't even catch it on first viewing even though I knew about the gender swap in advance; it might just as well have been "knew 'em") in alt!Rodney's line: "That field medic – the one you defied orders to go back and try and rescue. You knew her personally. You were... involved."

This was one of the differences between the two realities, perhaps even the most defining one of them, the point of divergence.

Vegas Sheppard dies to the tune of Johnny Cash's Solitary Man because that's what he was, a recluse (and note that the importance of Johnny Cash was underlined in the episode by Sheppard taking nothing but his poster, the same Johnny Cash poster that our Sheppard had in his quarters for all of the five years, with him once he walked away from his job; it carries weight):

But our Sheppard is not a Solitary Man (he has self-confessedly found something of a family in Pegasus). He's the Man in Black (in fact, he is dressed in black throughout the series even in situations where other fatigues would have made more sense; it is only in the very last episode that we see him in lighter colours):

We know the background. When the series begun, DADT was still in full effect, the franchise had a long-standing co-operation with the USAF, Prop 8 was still several years into the future. The non-normative sexual orientation of an All-American Action Hero was never going to be main-text. Even heterosexual romance between characters was mostly eschewed by the franchise. But damn if the subtext doesn't lay it out thick for us.

There are so many obvious parallels and comparisons in the show that I need to write them down somewhere, and while this is a day late and a dollar short, this fandom could do with some meta. So this marks the beginning of my journey through Stargate Atlantis with an eye on its bisexual protagonist.

You know? I really want to know more about Lilith, because I find her a very interesting character and I feel like the fandom is being a bit mean to her.

Most of what we know about her is what Charlie tells us in the little story, and as her daughter I'm going to assume that the story is embellished. But even if the details are not precise, there are some facts that make me think a lot about the timeline of events with Lilith and Lucifer.

I mean, it seems like Lucifer's heartbreak with humanity started pretty early on, and I guess that quickly led to depression (the spanish dub uses "he lost his will to LIVE"). It's something that has been there for most of his time in Hell.

In the meantime, Lilith thrived and is ‘to blame’ for Hell taking its shape and sinners gaining power. She inspired everyone to build and achieve new things.

That's two very opposite positions, and I honestly won't hold it against Lilith for being disappointed with Lucifer; she wanted to do the best she could with the limited opportunities they had, and her own partner was apathetic and wanted nothing to do with the other humans in their realm. Living with a depressed person, especially one who is telling you that your dreams or ideas aren't going to work, is complicated, and we don't know how long they stayed that way.

Isolating him is not the answer, especially when it deprives Lucifer of seeing his own daughter, but I can understand that Lilith thought she was doing the best for Charlie and they could resume the relationship later if he tried (when Lilith disappears it is Charlie who has to reach out to him).

From the way Charlie presents the events, the exterminations are a direct response to Lilith and her actions. A massacre that Lucifer accepts. At this point I imagine Charlie was born, as his main concern is to ensure that those born in Hell cannot be touched by angels. Charlie is safe.

The thing is. The hellborn are safe. You know who isn't? Lilith.

Were Lilith and Lucifer together by then? Maybe not and that's why he didn't care about her. Maybe yes and this resolution to the overpopulation problem (really, extermination of hypothetical armies) was the last straw.

Why is she in Heaven? What was her deal with Adam? Why do I keep thinking of Adam as the typical guy who sees his ex and tries to win her back or get some favours or some stupid shit like that instead of ignoring her?

Look, we don't have any information, but what if Lilith was cornered years ago and Adam took the opportunity to ‘kidnap’ her. What if Lilith is a prisoner? Because come on, Heaven sure is the place where your prison will be a beautiful beach. Why wouldn't she contact her own daughter, who is so proud of keeping her mother's dream alive?* Maybe they won't let her communicate with anyone. Until now, since Lute is demanding her to talk to Charlie to stop her plan.

* What dream, because it could be that Charlie heard her mother looking for a solution to the exterminations, although perhaps she misunderstood how Lilith wanted to handle it. The hotel seems to be Charlie's thing.

I don't know, I just see so many people think she's super evil, that she abandoned everyone, that she hates Lucifer and wants to destroy everything. And, I mean, maybe! Hope she'll have fun while doing it! But there's also that other option that she's surviving as best she can in a dificult position and we'll see what happens in S2.

We tend to think life has an on/off switch. You’re either alive or your dead. But it rarely goes down that way.

We thought our classic rock stars were forever. Until they weren’t. They were going to go on tour, maybe walking and playing a bit more slowly, singing in a lower key, but they’d be right there on stage and then POOF, they’d’ be gone.

Happened with Jeff Beck. And then there are acts that are sick but unless you’re inside the circle you don’t know, like Glenn Frey and Jimmy Buffett. The former died before his time, at age 67, which may seem old to many, but not to today’s baby boomers. Glenn was ripped-off. Then again, you can’t fight father time and you can’t fight your genes. Sure, bad behavior can shorten your life, you can become a member of the 27 Club, but oftentimes you’re just minding your own business and…that twinge, that symptom that you think will go away doesn’t and suddenly you find yourself on the wrong side of the line. Happened to Peter Frampton. Who gets kudos for going on record about it, because most men do not.

What exactly was Donald Trump rambling about at West Point yesterday? Now he’s got those on the left wondering about dementia. Can you really attribute it to the weave? Are we seeing the Donald decline in plain sight like we did Joe Biden, with all his supporters and inside acolytes denying what we see with our own eyes as if they’re sweepers on a curling sheet?

Then there are the six Democratic members of Congress who passed in the past year. Can happen to anyone, but odds are it will happen more to the aged. Seventy is not the new forty, fifty or even sixty. Your attitude can’t fight genetics. We have better health care, but everybody deteriorates over time. It’s a shock, assuming you’re tested. I had a clear carotid artery scan in the nineties, but not recently. And when I bring it up to most people, even those with heart attacks in their families, they almost all say they’ve never even had this test. They’d rather live in ignorance, believing they’re going to last forever, like Warren Zevon, who might have been saved if he’d gone to the doctor earlier, but he didn’t.

So we’ve been laughing for decades about the Stones. You’d better go see them now because it could be the last time. But they keep keepin’ on. We expected Keith to go first, but out of the blue Charlie died, the Big C got the drummer, and it could get you too.

But you don’t believe it. And you believe if you’ve got it you’re going to fight it, even though science says otherwise. Your mental attitude has nothing to do with your results/possible recovery. Not a thing. You go through the course of treatment and you see what happens. And the weird thing is the person on the precipice usually makes peace with their passing just before they go, even though those who remain cannot.

But life goes on. That’s the amazing thing. LBJ was sworn in on the plane back from the assassination of JFK. Nobody is indispensable, everybody is expendable, we circle the wagons, squeeze into your space and go on, not because we’re a*sholes, but because that’s the nature of being human, it’s in our DNA to survive.

As for Billy Joel… For a long time he was like Meat Loaf, an absolute icon on the east coast, but not so much on the west. They never played “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” on the radio in Los Angeles, never mind most not knowing who Phil Rizzuto was. But Marvin Lee Aday is gone now. Covid got him. He refused the vaccine. I bet he’d take it now if he had the chance.

But we all get to rule our lives the way we want to. And we think this is a privilege, freedom, but in truth many are slackers, they don’t have enough money or enough character to take care of themselves. To dot the i and cross the t, to go to the dentist and doctor on a regular basis. If you’re poor you live less long, those are statistics, but we live in a world where no one believes them anyway, everybody believes they’re going to live forever.

All of my friends do, everybody in their seventies. Whether retired or not. There’s endless roadway before the sun sets. Only there’s not. Whether it be by accident, like with Dave Shapiro, or bad luck, like with Michael Leon. But everybody convinces themselves their situation is different, that they’re immune.

And despite all this talk about the aged constantly discussing their health, generally speaking men do not. They don’t admit their failings. How are you doing? GREAT! But then you dig beneath the surface, peel back the layers. and if they’ve gone to the doctor you find out this is untrue, their body is deteriorating, it’s got flaws, but they don’t want to admit it.

First it was the acts that made it in the sixties. Now it’s those who peaked in the seventies, even eighties. They’re falling off the radar screen.

But what’s worse is most of them will never be remembered, most of them are unknown by the younger generations. Those records you bought, those shows you went to, they don’t know and they don’t care and if you’re judging them for it let me quiz you on your parents’ music, I doubt you’ll know much.

So Billy Joel… He’s been married and divorced more than once. He’s been ripped-off, losing almost all of his money. He had a bad motorcycle accident. But he’s always bounced back, always.

Billy finally broke in L.A. with “My Life” in 1978. And he was one of the few classic acts who got on MTV and stayed there, Billy was a staple.

But then he decided to record no new music.

But something funny happened along the way. With no hits, his rep got even better. He went on tour with Elton John, dueling pianos, implying that he was just as big as the English star, and then he wasn’t performing that much and then he started to do big shows, even stadiums, and playing Madison Square Garden every month and…

Those MSG shows were not rote. He switched up the numbers, he had guest stars, they were positively alive. Which is kind of strange for such a big stage, most people are afraid to do this, but Billy became comfortable in his own skin, and he became even more self-deprecating, people love it when you have a sense of humor about yourself. Furthermore, he still had his chops, go to the show and you’ll be amazed. But will you be able to go anymore?

It’s not exactly clear from the stories in the press. We learned that performing made his condition worse and now he’s going to physical therapy and I’ve got no idea how this plays out, but there’s a chance you’ll never be able to see Billy Joel on stage ever again. And if you haven’t and want to, you’ll feel ripped-off.

Yes, that joke about the Stones is now true. This truly could be the last time.

It’s astounding that these old dudes (and it’s almost all males) can still ply the boards. Mick Jagger is still dancing, yet he had heart surgery. But what else are they going to do, stay home? Then again, Mick Ralphs has been in a nursing home for the better part of a decade. His playing is still stellar on the recording of “All the Young Dudes,” but he can’t play it on stage anymore. And the man who wrote it, David Bowie, will have been gone for ten years in January.

It’s a wake-up call. Then again, I seem to be the only one who wants to be conscious when I’m dying. Everybody I know wants to die in their sleep. I don’t get that. You’re alive and kicking and then you don’t wake up, having no idea that it was your last day on earth? No, I want to see it coming.

But no one sees the end of the classic rock performers coming.

Oh, they talk about it, about how their business will be missed, but now there are younger acts that can sell out stadiums.

It’s all going down the drain. It’s the nature of life. You can get plastic surgery, go on a GLP-1 and look just marvelous, but that does not change your DNA and the attrition of age.

Everybody’s in denial. Joe Biden believed he could rule until he was 86. Now it looks like he probably won’t even live that long. And we were supposed to believe too. In this artifice.

No one lives forever. Everything falls away. Billy Joel is 76. Your mom might be in her nineties, as mine was before she passed, but my dad died at 70. Sure, there are spry septuagenarians out there, but a ton are dying too.

But no one wants to talk about this, everybody wants to put on a brave face. Like I said, everybody thinks they’re going to live forever, but this is not the case.

So, if you’re in your seventies, don’t keep pushing your desires into the future. If you want to see that act, go NOW, because you may never be able to again. As for spending your money, and hopefully you have some, financial advisors will tell you one of the biggest hurdles they must overcome is convincing their clients to spend their money. Sure, if you want to save it and give it to your progeny, fine, but if you’re denying yourself…

As for medical breakthroughs… Good luck now that Trump has excised employees and wants to hold back money for research at universities. You want to pay no additional taxes, but believe me, on your deathbed, you’ll wish there was a cure.

I hope there is for Billy Joel. The last time I saw him was at the Hollywood Bowl, and I couldn’t ask for anything more, he was as good as he could have possibly been.

And I play his “Songs in the Attic” LP on a regular basis, it’s emblazoned upon my brain.

But that might be the only place it lives in the future.

“I don’t need you to worry for me ’cause I’m all right”

But fifty years later we are worried. Billy is no longer spry and neither are we.

“I don’t care what you say anymore this is my life

Go ahead with your own life, leave me alone”

That’s one thing you realize as you get older, we’re all equal. And we all excel in certain areas. We may not be able to play and sing like Billy Joel, but we might be able to fix the toilet or the computer or do a whole host of other things. That was your life. And in most cases, other than your family and a few friends, you’re being left alone.

But it’s art that brings us together. And nothing so much as musicians. They sing their life, which we identify with. They make us feel connected, they give us a reason to live. They’re off on the horizon and we keep trying to get closer to them.

But ultimately it’s a mirage. They’re gone. You think you know them but you never really did. Can we really ever even know another person?

But there’s nothing worse than being alone.

All those acts from way back when, they were ubiquitous in a way today’s acts are not. EVERYBODY who was conscious in 1978 knows “My Life,” whether they liked it or not, you could not escape it.

Yes, some people hated Billy Joel, but all these years later…

The same people who hated the Carpenters now love them.

But they pushed Karen over the edge.

We all are just dust in the wind.

But that’s more than a song.

This leaving…I don’t know where to put  my emotions, which are palpable, if for no other reason than no one else admits to having them.

Maybe they do.

But maybe the only way we can connect is through the records.

Those classic rock tracks. They were more than songs, they were life itself.

But the candle does not burn forever, at some point it either burns down to nothing or gets snuffed out.

Hopefully yours won’t get snuffed out before your time.

But it could happen, never forget that.

Sauron’s Intentions with Morgoth’s crown

Thank you for the compliment. It’s nice to know you are enjoying these deep dives into Tolkien legendarium, where I’m brainstorming some ideas.

To answer your question:

You quoted Charlie in a post where he said Sauron must have known Galadriel would find a way to live despite the crown's supernatural abilities. But in another meta your conclusion was Sauron most likely wanted to have Gal all to himself in the shadow realm. How do these facts match? Especially now you conclude this post by saying Sauron stabbed her to make her light his own, but in that previous meta you said he would have her in darkness too in the shadow realm. I mean he stabbed her AFTER HE UNDERSTOOD HER LIGHT WAS OFF THE TABLE FOR HIM AND BU STABBING HER HE MADE SURE OF THAT, I guess, hee spirit now being drawn into the shadow realm à la Hades-Persephone as you pointed out.

I’ve written several posts on Sauron and Galadriel’s scene in 2x08, and how it could fit the legendarium. From the beginning it was clear to me Sauron’s intention was not to kill Galadriel (as the showrunners have confirmed in the meantime), because he used Morgoth’s Iron crown, a powerful dark magic object. It was clear something else was at work here.

Galadriel’s wound was also compared to Frodo’s Morgul blade wound by JD Payne, which tells us this will most likely have consequences because Frodo’s never fully healed and he became sick on its anniversary. Only in Valinor he could find healing. And it was a Morgul blade forged by Sauron; Morgoth’s very own crown, which held the Silmarils and can destroy Sauron’s fana is another topic entirely.

The “Hades/Persephone” post you mention was probably the first I wrote on the matter, where I also dived into “blood oaths” and “blood binding” in “Rings of Power” (mentioned in S1), and how does this fit Tolkien legendarium as a theme. In the meantime I proposed others views.

I agree, the intention was to bind them in darkness after she rejected him, again. To me, this makes sense with where Sauron is headed as a character, but also with the ring-verse, his “poem” in the One ring: “in the darkness bind them”.

The most popular interpretation is that Sauron wanted to enslave Galadriel to his will by stabbing her with the crown; or he just wanted to hurt/torture her. Others say if any “power sharing” happens is accidental, while others reject this entirely. Only the show can tell, but I disagree with these views. And Sauron smile of victory seems to indicate he knew exactly what he was doing, as well as Charlie’s comments of Sauron knowing Galadriel would survive. Sauron has many powers but the “gift of foresight” is not one of them. And him using a dark magic object when S2 put so much focus on him being a sorcerer just to torture Galadriel seems a very simplistic interpretation.

I do think Sauron wanted to harvest Galadriel’s light for himself, especially after what happened with Celebrimbor. He killed him in a rage fit which symbolizes Morgoth’s bounds on him reaching the surface. Sauron is a control freak, him losing control and spiralling down into chaos and destruction (Morgoth) is something he can’t cope with, at the moment. As Tolkien tells us in his letters, the “Annatar era” is the “reformer” who wants to rebuild and rehabilitate Middle-earth with “fair motives”.

Sauron’s goal (at this point in his character arc) is to heal Middle-earth from Morgoth’s corruption. He doesn’t have this goal out of the goodness of his heart or because he’s a selfless demi-god, this symbolizes his wish to heal himself. Sauron is a Maia, he helped shape the world alongside the other Valar and Maiar during the Ainulindalë. The corruption of Middle-earth and his own are connected because “the whole of Middle-earth was Morgoth's Ring”.

Back in Season 1, when he was on his “repentant era” as Halbrand, he made some good choices, and we saw him helping others. In his mind, this is connected with Galadriel influence (light) on him, and not as the result of his own choices (“free will”). Which is why he wants to bind himself to her in 1x08 (“you bind me to the light, and I bind you to power”). This is probably connected with his Maiar nature; he was created to serve a master, a servant to a Vala. He’s not build to rule or to lead. Which is why he decided to follow Galadriel (a natural born leader), and will end up following Morgoth, again.

And this alongside with Tolkien explanation of Sauron’s character arc, is what makes me believe this was his intention. He probably believes that Galadriel’s light is strong enough to overcome the darkness of the crown, because he thinks it was her light which caused him to “choose good” in Season 1 (only he didn’t choose good at all, because he chose deception instead of staying in Númenor in servitude). “No, not dark. Not with you at my side.” But Galadriel’s light is merely aesthetic. It’s the same light that shines in every Elf that was born during the Years of the Trees in Valinor, but in her is more visible because of her beauty and legendary hair.

Nevertheless, this doesn’t contradict Galadriel spirit being “dragged” into the Unseen world (“shadow realm”) because Sauron is a spiritual being, he doesn’t belong to the Seen world. He (like every other Ainur) can choose to appear in the physical form of the “incarnates” (Elves, Men, Dwarves), but that’s not his true nature. He’s an angelic being, a “demonic” to be more accurate. So, these things can be true at the same time.

Since season 2 is literally almost here 23 days away!!!! And I feel like I really want to do a little more of a deeper dive into Charlie and his relationship with babe and without me look like into the second season given we don't have the full trailer yet and just the teaser my mind hasn't stop working and thinking about what we do know from interviews and so here we are! Charlie is my favorite character and I feel like especially with the second season a lot of people might question Charlie's character his purpose. Even though I feel like in the first season we had a good set up of the type of person Charlie is and his devotion and his way of being very committed to people in his life that he cares about. So we know that being selfless all the time comes out of price and I think we're going to see that happen with Charlie as we know he is going to his memory at some point later on.

I think it was pretty prominent in the first season that Charlie never saw himself as valuable. Hence him not being afraid of dying cause what does he have to lose who will cry who will care. Though he says this he doesn't really want too when babe enters his life. Charlie's parents passing away only led him to be taken into a abusive environment with a bunch of other kids. But the only good thing to come out of that was him meeting Jeff. And even so back then Charlie did so much to protect Jeff from any beatings or lashings putting himself first. But as he was living there Charlie picked up the true reasons for why he's there his purpose was for what he can do or just be basically utilized for. And so Charlie did what he could to survive and get out of that situation and he lied and hid his power as much as he could to the point where Tony basically threw him out because he wasn't catching up as to where the other kids were with their abilities. When all this time Charlie has known of his abilities but purposely hid them after knowing he's basically a weapon. So Charlie pretty much grew up to be a selfless person who did a lot of self sacrificing a lot of self denying. He also feels a lot of empathy and compassion for others. I think it's obviously heightened with the fact of him having now babe in his life.

But with this second season and Pavel laying it on heavy that this season will be very sad cause babe is trying to hold onto Charlie in the midst of the races and willy and Tony. He mentioned that babe will be basically more clingy he will lean and depend on Charlie a lot and I think that means in every aspect emotionally, mentally even physically when forgets to take care of himself or doesn't't have the motivation to do so. Charlie picks him right back up on his feet and helps him get through it. All babe wants is Charlie to be with him. He really doesn't care about the other things that are happening in the background it's all noise to him. When really the issues they'll be facing will be bigger than them. And I think that's something Charlie is going to really be focusing on. Because again his priorities are to make sure that everyone before him is okay. But in the midst of everyone it's especially for babe this world they are living in that has done nothing but bring harm and danger for them. And it doesn't matter to charlie if those things may come with a price. Charlie is so heroic when no one asks him to be nor does anyone expect that from him especially babe.

But I think for Charlie it's a no brainer type of situation because it goes back to him being so compassionate. He feels that by helping others especially those who are struggling those who were in the same position as him if he can help them out of their situation to have a better life he will. Charlie kind of sees his life from two perspectives his past self and the version of him now. So in a way it lets him empathize with both of the struggles of those who are less fortunate and the importance of emotional maturity. And also I think he is just a very motivated person especially like I said in their world where it seems of power has been taken out of all of their hands he wants to make it a better place especially for those who are marginalized and misunderstood.

I think for babe especially he is pretty vocal about Charlie's selflessness and he's not always fond of it. Though he understands Charlie's heart and that this is just how he is it also probably frustrates him. Since babe was so sheltered growing up is probably so difficult for him to really see the world through the lens that Charlie does since him and Charlie are so vastly different. I think babe is kind of still trying to navigate the empathy of others. And also I think this is just so clear that babe just doesn't want to lose Charlie again he's so focused on having Charlie back that nothing else matters his concern for other things than other people will probably be less than because of the fact that he's trying to hold on to Charlie.

so I think it's going to be interesting to see the selflessness versus the selfishness. Because of babe being so different from the first season. He was someone who was so very much detached from love to now someone who has that love and trying to hold on to it as much as he can selfishly. Babe being babe I feel like he's going to just be more blunt and honest about how he feels about wanting Charlie to himself. And he doesn't care how that sounds though that can lead into him sounding very controlling and very possessive it comes from I think that deep rooted fear of him of just losing him. And for Charlie I think he's going to be a little slighted by whatever babe says to him or how babe comes off to him. Because I think he would expect babe to understand him the most of his motivations and his passion for wanting to protect him and anyone that he can.

And so that leaves us with the inevitable that we all know that it's going to happen and that is Charlie losing his memory at some point. Although we don't know how I feel, the obvious of it is most likely due to all the experiments in the lab that Charlie will probably be spending most of his time. And it seems like Charlie would be the one to take on the role of using himself as the guinea pig he wouldn't dare let Jeff do it and he definitely wouldn't dare let babe. But Charlie losing his memory is going to be very sad. I can't imagine how much he is going to beat himself up for even forgetting babe. Seeing him beat himself up for even putting babe through this. Because Charlie hates to know that he's the one that made babe feel upset, uncomfortable, just any negative emotion that he feels like he was a cause of literally brings him pain. I feel like these are going to be the scenes Pavel is talking about that are going to be very emotional for babe. Just seeing Charlie that way not remember what they had. To know Charlie is this way because again of a sacrifice to protect him and I'm doing so neglecting himself in the end. And just because Charlie won't remember does it mean his heart will forget. He may still feel that connection that pull towards babe even if he doesn't really know what it is all he knows is that his heart will definitely know even if his memory can't. And I feel for babe the only thing that would bring him a little bit of comfort is in knowing that Charlie won't remember all of the horrible things that he has encountered. I think it's going to be bittersweet I feel like as long as Charlie and babe have each other even if it won't be as what they were before they definitely can start over.

2024 Fall Blurbs

Some days, Peter’s overtaken with how lucky he is. He gets to spend every day loving you and Charlie, watching as she grows up before his eyes. He has the best support system, you and your daughter and Aunt May, three people he couldn’t imagine living without, and he’s genuinely not sure he’d be able to survive without the three of you, so he does his best to show how much he loves and appreciates all of you, every single day.

Small gestures are easiest, bringing home some flowers for you or the new book you’d mentioned wanting to read once, a coloring book for Charlie or preparing her favorite dinner, and doing his best to take frequent trips out to his Aunt May, because even though she’s not very far, something about traveling across the city with a toddler is a miracle all on its own.

“I wish we had big trees,” Charlie laments, dropping her head back so dramatically your grip on her starts to slip. She’s more than capable of walking by herself, but she’s a flight risk and you’re already running late, so carrying her seemed like the better option, despite how wiggly she gets. Once you reach the front walk, you set her down, and she races towards the house, ringing the doorbell before you and Peter even get a chance to make it up the front steps.

“There’s my favorite girl!” May reaches down and deftly swoops your daughter into her arms, with the skill that only comes from years of practice.

After all the greetings and hugs are exchanged, and Charlie is set down to run wild, Peter heads straight into the kitchen, setting up for dinner.

“The whole point of inviting you over for dinner is to cook for you,” May reminds her nephew, who makes a show of pretending not to hear him.

“Mamma, can I play outside?” Charlie runs up to you to ask, her tiny socked feet thudding against the hardwood floor. May is already nodding her approval before you can even ask, already knowing your question from the tilt of your head towards her.

“Put your shoes back on first,” you remind her before she runs outside in just her socks.

The weather is perfect, sunny with an autumnal chill, so you and May end up joining Charlie outside, watching from the back porch as she runs through the leaves. Peter is left behind to finish dinner, but he really doesn’t mind, getting to watch his three favorite people from the wide windows in the kitchen. Charlie has the time of her life, sprinting around the yard and pausing to throw up a pile of leaves before setting off again, until she runs up to you, absolutely breathless and wearing a gap-toothed grin.

“Perfect timing, I think dinner’s ready,” you tell your daughter, unable to resist planting a kiss on her wind-reddened cheek. You gather her up in your arms, a much easier task now that she’s exhausted herself, and bring her inside, where Peter’s already set the table and plated everyone’s meal, leaving the dishes on the counter for seconds.

You’ve never felt so lucky, surrounded by the people you care about the most, eating warm, delicious food in a house made cozy and safe by unconditional love, and you make a mental note to make these dinners a weekly event.

AU where Quesadilla Island is instead a small town that’s known for being a hub for the supernatural

The Federation is a group brought into the town that is made up of, essentially, monster hunters who aim to ‘protect’ the regular human townsfolk. Feelings among the townsfolk about the Federation are mixed. Some support their mission, others are more dubious but still kind to the Federation workers, and others believe they’re making the town more unsafe

Unknown to the Federation, there are a few supernatural beings living right under their noses, pretending to be ordinary people

Charlie Slimecicle is a werewolf

He refers to his wolf form as Slarf. Slarf is a black wolf, with piercing red eyes

He works out and eats a ridiculous amount of protein partially so he can brush off his supernatural strength as a product of his routine

No one knows he’s a werewolf, not even his partner Mariana or best friend and roommate Baghera, and he desperately wants to keep it that way

At some point, he out of nowhere ‘adopts’ a daughter called JuanaFlippa. She’s actually a young orphaned werewolf who got very attached Slarf on a full moon night and now refuses to leave Charlie’s side

Cellbit is a vampire

Not born one, but bitten. He has a sister who is human

His son Richarlyson and his boyfriend Roier are the only ones who know what he is

He gets a job at the Federation to gain information, and with the hopes it’ll reduce any suspicion placed on him - but it potentially does the opposite, now regularly having their eyes on him

When he needs to feed, he tends to target Federation workers to kill two birds with one stone

BadBoyHalo and Tina are demons

They are on earth for different reasons, and they both know about each other

Bad is there to mentor a young demon, Dapper, and teach him about humans

Tina is far more secretive about why she’s living on earth. She’s close friends with Mouse, the only person aside from Bad who knows what she is

Both are close friends (or frenemies in Bad’s case) with Foolish - which becomes potentially dangerous when he gets hired to work for the Federation

Speaking of Foolish, he’s actually merfolk

A shark merman to be specific. He’s also King of the Merfolk, aka KOM. His status grants him immortality and the ability to change his form to have legs. With his long lifespan, the decades he spends in the town are just like a brief vacation to him

Already knows Bad isn’t human - he remembers seeing Bad hanging around on earth a few times over the past hundreds of years. He doesn’t know about Tina

He has a child, his little princess Leo, who likes to hang out with him on land. His husband, Vegetta, tends to spend a lot of time busy in their underwater kingdom

His human roommate, Jaiden, knows about him - they tell each other everything

Joined the Federation both for fun, and like Cellbit to get info and get suspicion off of himself

Philza is an angel

Angel of Death specifically

Feels rather safe despite being a supernatural being due to not being as ‘dangerous’ as others, meaning he likely isn’t a number one target of the Federation. He’s not demonic, legend doesn’t say he lures people to drown in oceans, he doesn’t lose control and attack people, he doesn’t need to go on killing sprees to survive

Not to mention his connection to gods and deities gives him safety and places of refuge

The biggest issue he has is hiding his wings. Aside from that, he’s pretty comfortable living with his human partner and children

Absolutely knows Something Is Up with the other five but doesn’t know for sure what. He’s not a narc, so he doesn’t ask

What do you expect from Born Again? I for one am cautiously excited. It's a shame Foggy is going to die, but I don't think he would have much meaning anyway. Don't get me wrong, I like him. But I love Matt, Karen and Frank more. I think it's time for his story to end. I'm sure Foggy's sacrifice will give Karen the anger she needs to pick up her gun in revenge and Matt a reason to let the devil out so I think it will be worth it. Or maybe his death will be poetic and beautiful and temporary. Although I don't think he really fits the tone of the series. Karen has a more dramatic appeal and Frank too. Foggy is only cute and sweet. I hope you don't get upset with my question And my opinion on Foggy

I thought a lot before deciding whether to answer this question since I don't know if it's valid or just another one like the millions of hateful asks about Elden and Foggy that I've received over the years.

And even if the reason for this ask is to hurt me, I believe that all opinions need to be heard, even when I disagree.

I've said this more than once: I don't plan on watching Born Again. Period.

I don't want to re-watch, revisit a scene I've seen thousands of times on the internet. I don't want to see Foggy on the concrete, getting a shot that wasn't aimed at him.

Even if it is a temporary death. Even if he just gets hurt. No, I don't want to watch that.

I don't want to see Matt and Karen (without Foggy) reminiscing about old memories. I don't want to see Matt living life as if Foggy isn't an important person to him. I don't want to watch a show where Foggy, who used to be the heart of the show, appears in one or two episodes.

I know, I know I'll end up watching bits and pieces here and there because people won't get tired of posting edits, scene cuts, photos, gifs etc. And I don't like blocking people just because they have opinions that go against mine. I only block haters, etc.

Believe me, I'm glad Karen has a lot of heart in the show. After all, I fought for years for Elden and Deborah to return alongside Charlie for this show. I'm really happy for her and her fans. And I think it's beautiful that Jon cared so much about her to the point of saying that he would only return to the role if she was also on the show.

I just wish the Born Again writers knew that Foggy is also a crucial character. Not just because he's Matt's friend. Foggy has a rich history and is very capable of having a good plot even without a weapon, even without powers, without sexual appeal. I just wish (and hope) that Born Again doesn't erase all the importance of the original Foggy. In Elden's words: "Even though he's a little clumsy, Foggy is not an idiot." Foggy is smart, good, and intelligent.

I'm sure the directors did the best they could to fit Foggy into a plot that was almost complete. We need to remember that Foggy was going to die off-screen in the first script. And Karen wasn't even mentioned. So, I believe it was easier to fit Karen in there, giving her more scenes.

It's wonderful that Karen is a badass, has a gun, and is her own hero. I love Karen so much! But Foggy, Foggy was always the heart, and nothing survives without a heart.

Good-hearted people are strong in their own way. (this part makes me start crying, hell, I hate being so stupid)

And it's naive to think that a hero show will only be good if it has shooting, blood, sex, and things like that.

I don't know about you, but what made me love the show was the human and fragile part.

It was seeing that the girl wasn't so fragile and weak, that she is flawed and tries her best despite everything. She found a family (two idiots) and fought tooth and nail to protect Foggy and Matt from Fisk.

That Matt, the hero, is fragile, silly, pathetic. Sexy in his sweatpants and socks. That he feels pain, he cries, he feels angry and feels incapable most of the time.

That the silly friend (and useless in most opinion) is brave, strong, the one who goes for sex for consolation. Who has a family like everyone else.

These things, this human part were what made me love the show. Although I've been a Daredevil fan since childhood and admittedly an Elden fan since childhood as well.

These characters were like family to me.

Will I change my mind about Born Again? The second season, perhaps. But again, out of respect for Elden and Foggy, no, I don't intend to watch a scene that I've seen thousands of times and that has sometimes been mocked. And it still hurts me.

Willy Wonka misconceptions

As Charlie and the Chocolate Factory / Willy Wonka has become weirdly popular lately because of the successful prequel film and most recently that really botched / rip-off Wonka event in Glasgow Scotland, it felt like a good time for this post.

Here are a list of popular misconceptions about the book and films.

1. Much of the Internet thinks of Wonka as a "Serial killer of children." I pointed out that at the end of the 2006 film and novel you see the children alive, though altered. And in the 1971 film that version of Wonka says that they will all be fine, but a little wiser. Someone tried to argue with me that he was just trying to placate Charlie. Really!? Since when did that Wonka ever lie to make people feel better?

Based on his previous behavior we have no reason to believe Wonka would lie just to make Charlie feel better. It's just a dark, edgy, annoying headcanon to pretend Wonka killed those other kids when every version tells you they survived. I am aware there's a play version where they die but we're talking about the film adaptations and novel here.

2. Grandpa Joe was not "Faking it" or "being lazy." It seems ironic to me that so many rant and even get genuinely angry about the character Grandpa Joe. It is especially odd to me when the rage is in regard to the depiction in the 1971 film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

The reason it is odd to me is because in the 1971 film Grandpa Joe very clearly was suffering through severe depression, possibly a long bipolar depression phase.

The depression is clear in his "I've got a golden Ticket" song.

"I never thought my life could be Anything but catastrophe"

"I never had a chance to shine Never a happy song to sing"

It seems weird to me that today people shame characters like Cinderella for not being assertive and empowered when she's a live-long abuse victim. And then you have the people against Disney's The Little Mermaid who say she gave up who and what she is for a man but ignore that she had a song number from before she ever saw Eric, where she expressed body dysphoria and made clear she wanted to be human even then.

And you have a large part of the Internet shaming Grampa Joe for being "lazy" and "faking being sick' while he's literally telling us that he he's been in a severe depression.

It's almost like watching a generation that supposedly respects mental illness and understands depression in ways previous generations didn't... suddenly having a justification to shame someone for having all the symptoms of clinical depression.

Hell, even the song "I've got a Golden Ticket" kind of indicates Grandpa Joe is entering a manic phase. If Grandpa Joe's illness is psychological why do we treat it as not-real? I get so annoyed at how many people mock the character or act like he's a con artist exploiting Charlie.

3. The Oompa Loompas were not slaves.

It's true that the earliest depictions of the Oompa Loompas were little African people (before the novel was revised) but in all versions he tells the kids that he pays them in coca-beans. That might sound like he pays them in fallen acorns he found in his garden but it's made clear that to Oompa Loompas, in their society, coca-beans are worth more than gold.

Try to imagine you got a job working for aliens who offer to pay you in large bars of gold if you just help him make some gold jewelry. But because gold isn't worth THAT much to these aliens they think you're a pathetic slave, even though Lofty (the Oompa Loompa from the new Wonka movie) probably now has a palace on Loompa Land that he uses as a summer house.

Interesting bit of trivia: Charlie was originally going to be black.

4. Wonka (2023) is NOT a remake. A lot of people mistakenly think this is yet another remake. No. It's a musical prequel to the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie from 1971. ________________________

5. Lots of fans have "figured out" that the shoe shine boy Wonka sees early in Wonka is Charlie. One small problem with that. This is twenty-something Willy Wonka. Wonka was supposed to be pushing fifty or sixty when he went looking for an heir. The timeline wouldn't work. The director has confirmed that for this reason the shoe shine boy is NOT Charlie Bucket.

picture this. the confrontation with tony goes different. kenta gives over all the evidence and then goes to confront tony before the auction happens. he has a little menty b and tony goes off. like whips out his belt and hits kenta across the face with it off. they fight and kenta stabs him in the back but tony jabs a pair of bonsai cutting scissors into kentas neck and runs away makes a strategic retreat.

at the auction it is actually way who kills tony. tony gets off a shot in the shoulder that is actually NON LETHAL and then way either has a gun he took from a guard or steals one or whatever and nails daddy dearest straight in the head. babe is all !!!!!!!!!! and pete is all !!!!!!!!!!! (but hornier) and then they all see the stab wound on tony's flopped over corpse.

"wait... where's kenta?" jeff asks but babe's a bit hysterical, all "who the hell cares where he is?!!" to which alan's like "well he did give us all the evidence so…" and since pete is being all fussy over way and jeff is hovering over charlie hovering over babe, he volunteers to go look for kenta. kim also steps up, telling alan he knows where tony’s office is and the duo heads there.

and all they find is blood.

it’s pooling on the floor and splattered over the walls and in the middle of the mess lies kenta, crumpled up in a heap and fucking hell. he's dead, right? no one who looks like that is not dead but when kim crouches down and carefully looks for a pulse, he finds one and holy fucking shit, someone go get the medics.

the paramedics arrive quickly and are also very much team “he should be dead” and state considering the blood loss, they don't think he's going to make it to the hospital. kim points out he's an universal donor but when the medics ask for his subgender and if he's on any sort of medication that would prevent him from donating blood, kim turns shifty. alan serves his major suspicious side eye but well, fuck it. “i’m also o-neg and i’m screened, i donate regularly” he says.

so alan gets to hitch a ride in the ambulance as a living blood bag as the paramedics struggle to keep kenta’s blood pressure up and kim gets to drive fast and furious behind them with jeff, babe and charlie in one big bundle in the backseat. (way is being driven in another ambulance and, after reluctantly staying behind to make arrangements concerning the children, pete will join them later.)

kenta survives, barely, but ends up even more seriously scarred than he already was, including a very prominent mark bisecting his face. he hates looking at himself in the mirror. he hates how people stare and whisper. as soon as he's out of the hospital, he attic wifes himself in one of pete’s lofts and when he absolutely has to go outside, he hides behind a full face mask.

don’t ask me exactly how kim will get himself involved with kenta in this universe - probably by being nosy as fuck, let's be real - but he does, stubbornly refusing to be pushed away. and kim will (more or less gently) re-socialize kenta and when kenta shies away, tell him that he's still just as beautiful as ever.

Context

Smith's Grove

Smith's Grove is the prequel to the faithful night Michael came home. It's a psychological thriller and character study of Michael Myers and Dr Sam Loomis at first trying to reach him and helping the young boy, then suddenly patients are dying. "Accidents" start to happen in Smith's Grove and Loomis realizes that Michael is simply evil beyond help and dedicates his life to keeping Michael locked up.

Took inspiration from the chaos comics.

Halloween 4 Requel

Halloween 4 has become a cult classic. Fans wish Jamie got to be a killer. Danielle Harris wishes she got to be the killer. So imagine.

Jamie really does kill her foster mother. She is locked up in Smith's Grove. There were brief flashes of humanity to the point where Loomis thought she could be reached and did all he could to help her, but it's too late.

Now it's 35 years later. Jamie is back. She dons a clown costume with a Clara Bow styled clown mask(a nod to Michael almost having a Emmett Kelly clown mask) and Rachel will either break through to her sister or do what she must to stop her.

He went out to the garage, and got himself a hacksaw. Then he went back into the house, kissed his wife and his two children goodbye, and then he proceeded to…"

Season of the Witch Continuation

A fan came up with a concept of what could happen after Season of The Witch.

Laurie, Allyson, Jamie and John uniting against Michael

Lets retcon Ends. It was Laurie's fever dream after losing Karen. Allyson is taking care of Laurie as grief consumes them both. However. Ghosts from Laurie's past comes back to haunt her.

Her other children. The children she had to give up. Jamie and John.

To avoid a multiverse type story to make the Thorn Trilogy and H20 canon to the Blumhouse Trilogy, we are gonna be creative with Jamie and John's stories in this timeline.

Laurie had to give up Karen. But what if she had the choice to raise one child while giving up the other two? Also Laurie did say in 2018 she had multiple failed marriages. So it could work.

Laurie and Jimmy had Jamie and Laurie and Ben Tramer had John. Laurie's problems caused her to lose her families. Either her partners couldn't take it or they lost the kids like with Karen.

John lived in California, while Jamie lived in Russleville.

They came to pay respects for Karen, but make it clear they want nothing to do with her. They both had similar "incidents" like Michael.

John's best friend Charlie became a Michael Myers copycat(a nod to the original H20 plot) and killed half of his classmates with only John and Sarah surviving.

Jamie had a look a like who attended her school.(a nod to two Jamies) One Halloween, she snapped. She dressed up like a clown and tried to kill her. She followed her home and killed her step-mother. She was blamed for deaths, but eventually her name was cleared and both her and Rachel made it out alive.

However they both admitted. No matter what they did to their pursuers that they kept coming back, kept killing and kept coming to find them.

Laurie is remorseful for what her children went through, but Allyson plays the peacemaker and deduces that they were all touched by Michael's evil.

Laurie's encounter spread to her children, which caused their stalkers to hunt them.

Which leads them to their originator. Michael.

It's sort of inspired by Fear Street, but an excuse to bring Laurie, Jamie, John and Allyson together to kill Michael, Charlie and Jamie's double together.

Ends with Laurie and Allyson killing Michael together. Jamie killing her doppleganger and ending the Thorn curse and John decapitating Charlie. Thus ending evil's hold over the Strode family and Jamie and John finding peace with Laurie.

Anthology Series

Season of The Witch was meant to start up an Anthology series of stories that takes place on Halloween Night, so let's continue that original vision.

Nightdance type story

Nightdance long story short takes place in 2000 and Michael stalks and hunts a girl who looks like Judith. It's a very much back to basics type story that Harkins back to Micheal being more of a stalker in the shadows and when he does attack, it's BRUTAL!

John Tate never received a conclusion and I feel he deserves justice in the H20 timeline. Because god knows that timeline deserves better than Resurrection as a conclusion.

Halloween 5, but it ends with Michael imprisoned and Jamie saying "He'll never die" no Man in Black and no Thorn Cult.

Jamie lives her life normally until one day, Michael breaks out and it's Michael vs Jamie and a REAL conclusion to Jamie's story!

Rob Zombie timeline continuation with Laurie as the killer, but without Rob Zombie

As much shit as Zombie's movies were, the potential of Laurie as the killer could've been great, especially with that tease at the end and Scout would've killed it.

I ignore the director's cut as I felt Michael's death was more final and Laurie being left alive and being teased as the killer is much more satisfying than RZ's bullshit "director's cut"(yeah go fuck yourself with the "Laurie's dead and it was all in her head" fuck you)
