im not even gonna try to be coherent here. this is not an analysis post i am braindead. if i was a better artist makima wouldve been my muse when i was deep into chainsawman. actuallt she kind of was but i pussyed out

OK everyone here can subconsciously understand this connection. dont get too hung up on makima's strong motherhood theme and i just thought about what if ame was motherly and i couldn't kill myself right aftee thinking that as i have no means to it. that was a joke its late and im just me. i decided i wasnt a fan of motherly ame though so all suicidal thoughts erased. i am really chill now

actually theyre really different in many ways now that im looking at these. ame is so much of a son and makima is so much of a mother its like oppsoite spectrums. but thay makes the commonalities fun actuallt. i keep thinking about the movies and makima hating bad movies. ame is not an art kid by any means does he even care of the beauty of the world? i doubt it. but he likes bad movies and he likes cheap entertainment so who knows... they'd disagree on that. well i think makima's opinion on that was pretty extreme so i think most would disagree with her really

i could imagine ame going "Chainsawman. Doesn't spit." and smoking for the first time to look cool like in movies only to pathetically cough. thats their common trait... artifice... humans... but in a way that loops back to being Really Human i guess. holds a kind of arrogance and hubris that is so associated with humanity. it cant be anything else. ame should kill himself i think he should get moments of clarity and awareness and want to kill himself rqlly bad

throughout all this i wanted to cite the best makima artist in the world ever but i'd feel bad if they wouldn't want to be associated with evil hetalia america blog. also i want to be normal and not cringe at being cringe just becayse i think makima was a thunderstrike of genius that i shouldn't taint. ame is a more flexible character to me for obvious reasons. this is how i'd shove ame into makima's role. but u couldn't put makima as ame. only one way. im okay with that. concept idea consensus words fear control blablabla u get the point i hate using words dont care sleepy now

can you go into detail about the process of making the current au designs? i mean like.. how u came up with them and perhaps any functional purposes they have?

<hmm,, im going to assume you mean specifically the indigo park characters, and since you said current i wont mention the designs i used in that one post where mollie talked about how she met the others> <explainations under the cut as im breaking kayfabe in a major way>

<here were my general thought processes while drawing indigo swapped character designs>

General Goal: turn mascot horror designs into fantasy rpg designs. keep in mind their roles/jobs but purely practical clothes are not the goal. remember to check wiki for canon designs. keep in mind there were a great many sketches experimenting with designs and concepts before the final designs you see today.

[Mollie] : added a pocket to her coat and pants because explorers need places to hold stuff, added a belt because it looked weird without. the scarf is a good way to identify character, ill keep it. originally discarded the hat but after initial sketches made her look weird, added it back but based it off indiana jones rather than the standard aviation hat. she needs something for protection in the wilds, give her a whip. whips are hard to draw actually, give her something else - hey didnt gravity falls have a grappling gun? that was cool i should give it to her. et viola! mollie design. her design naturally adjusted as i kept drawing her to make it easier for myself. first colourless sketch looked weird, i figured it was because she didnt have her markings and it looked fine when i added it back in so thats why her beak and markings show up in my quick sketch style.

[Rambley] : rambley already has a trainworker design, should i just use that? after designing the others, it was weird that rambley didnt have clothes so i looked up train worker clothes on google and chose one that fit the aesthetics of the world (more suitlike ones seemed weird standing next to mollie and lloyd). originally had a whistle, ended up deleting that because it was just extra lines to draw. misremembered colour, rambley ended up more purple than canon. misremembered tail, its zigzag now because i swore rambleys tail was zigzag in canon but apparently not. his shirt looked weird without stripes so i added it in while colouring. et viola! rambley. initial colourless sketch was weird, figured it had to do with his lack of raccoon markings, so i added it back in and it was fine. honestly he was the one i changed the least from canon and while drawing over and over since his design was already pretty simple, and overalls plus striped shirt isnt as complicated as everyone elses outfit.

[Lloyd] : HEAVY inspiration from steve irwin and similar characters - savannah rangers and such. got sidetracked drawing extremely horny drawings cause its been ages since i drew a properly muscular, bara style guy - made his shirt loose with a knot in the front because i still wasnt over the thrist. gave him the same pants as mollie by mistake because my solution to adventuring gear is to add pockets everywhere. originally had like, a bunch of other props like a whistle, flashlight, gloves, and arm guards. ended up deleting all of that because i felt like it cluttered his design. multiple sketches while staring at the wiki because i Could Not Get His Mane Right. design adjusted as i kept drawing him to aim for simplicity and ease of drawing. et viola - lloyd! while colouring i accidentally gave him a very red nose and didnt realise how much it looked like rudolph the red nosed reindeer until i took a nap so if i ever redraw the banner art (unlikely) thats going away.

[Salem] : gender gender gender. look at canon lloyds fit how do we make it gender. that shoulderless outfit i gave ambrosia (oc) is very gender lets give it to salem. actually i dont wanna draw ruffles lets shorten the sleeves. gave her a skirt with ruffles and immediately regretted it lets just make it a regular,, maybe silk? dress. oo showmans vest plus bowtie plus shoulderless sleeves plus skirt is very gender how do we increase the gender levels. i genuinely forgot that salem didnt have eyeshadow in canon i just wanted to increase their cuntyness and gender levels. lengthen the hair a bit but also give her a beard-esque thing and square jaw shape yesss thats so gender. multiple drawings have closed that skirt slit in the banner drawing. also for ease of drawing i decided that no matter which way theyre facing her hair always hides an eye. is this practical at all for adventuring? no but they were always meant to be more of a shopkeeper or narrator so whatever. i love salem man theyre so gender (<- made her gender on purpose)

[Finley] : for lore reasons he is now a gigantic seaserpent thing. tried to combine both canon designs while leaning more towards monster. also gave him horns to be more monsterlike but he honestly ended up looking kind of goatlike. i didnt change his design much in the end but that may change once i start drawing him more

this my redraw of an old sketchbook oc! her name is alice! she was one of those ocs that i planned to be in a story but i never got around to making it an actual thing (look i made as a dumb stupid baby child). since it wasnt actually properly written down or planned out, it was really vague, the most i remember of it was like "the darkness is dangerous and evil and it's corrupted the world, take this lantern and go stop it". well truthfully that lantern was only ever used by this other character named sparrow, who was this ordinary ass bird with shitty emo bangs and the personality of a bootleg toriel. but i'm pretty sure alice was meant to have it when she and sparrow serperate and im not gonna use sparrow anyways, if i need anyone to take that role i'd make a new character for that, so alice gets to have the lantern all to herself. that sinister doodle on the right is kind of a concept doodle for what her nycto/dark form would be like. because OF COURSE she had one, i was an edgelord back then, of course id do this edgy shit! pretty sure it was sort of a bad ending outcome sort of deal. in this iteration im making it a part of the main canon, as here she's meant to be a fallen hero, a champion of light who failed her task. the lantern, once the symbol of light and hope, is now a vessel for the darkness embedded into her. (i never said i STOPPED being an edgelord :P )

and just for funsies, i'll share the old art, bc why not (warning there's some body horror (badly drawn and made by a high schooler, but still) so if you dont like seeing mutilation or characters having too many eyes (tm), then dont look any further)

ah yes, the ONE time alice herself holds dat lantern. also was not kidding about sparrow's design being bland and basic (also gotta love how even back then i had a thing for drawing cloaks/capes. some things never change :P )

i still think these are kinda cute, maybe i'll redraw the top one one day

ugh, alice having anything but dot eyes is so weird for some reason... also was not kidding about sparrow being discount bird toriel, that was the ONE bit of characterization i gave her, no other concept to work off of really

a review of the cpc book :)

saturday march 18th. I FINALLY GET A COPY OF THE CPC BOOK AT BARNES AND NOBLES. super super happy to have it on my shelf!! during my venture towards in the bookshop i was struggling to find it- so i'm in the graphic novel section right. and i figured it would be near this area where they have some other webtoon books like lore olympus or true beauty (also saw a woman world book out there!! was happy to see it:), along with some marvel comics. i searched for a while before i suck it up and just asked customer services to find a Webtoon Book and it took me longer to do this than i'd like to admit (musicitself can confirm). and in the end it wasnt at the lo or tb area, it was NEAR THE QUEER SECTION. RIGHT NEXT TO HEARTSTOPPER. and i love cpc for being there instead of where the other webtoons are,, that says something about cpc. while i asked about the book i heard one of the workers say "oh that one's pretty popular" which made me go !!!!. so glad to know we are winning

the book itself!! it's really neat to see cpc formatted like a comic book, and the redrawn panels look great! seeing old scenes in the newer artstyle really gives you a sense of how everyone's changed and developed. one extremely important screen to book change also:

ABBI'S JACKET IS THE PAN FLAG!! it used to be solid black, but this change suits her really well and she totally rocks it!! maria's eyes are also greener in the book, as they were more teal in the webcomic.

we also get insane anime character angle from frederick lmao

his expression game is always on point and i love how the new artstyle gets to highlight that more. the 4k artist profile lambcat uses of themselves scares me also, it's like normal lambcat but WAY more detailed. overall, cpc fans i'd totally recommend the book if you're thinking of getting one! i'm getting the next one for sure i cannot wait for when that comes out. also find it kinda ironic that true beauty the hit webtoon is advertised in the book and the end of the book has an ad for the next one saying "You too can learn to become as pretty as a cursed princess!", like i can kinda see what they were going for?? but uh. prez would not advertise like that lmao

there's a bit of character concept art in the back and i may make a post going over those because it is SUPER neat and i would lovelovelove to see more cpc concept art in the future.. suppose i'll see yall in that next post then!!

Marvel Month :Hulk Gray

In this series Bruce Banner is talking to Doc Samson about the buried early days of the Hulk back when he was Grey not green,primarily focusing on Hulks relationship Betty Ross and her father Thunderbolt Ross

So the collaborations of Jeph Loeb and the late Tim Sale have become classics.Their probabbly best known for Batman the Long Halloween and Superman For All Seasons for DC ,but for a Marvel they did a thematic series :The Color books.Consisting of Daredevil Yellow,Spider-Man Blue,Hulk Grey and Captain America White ,each series takes a look at the early days of a Marvel superhero ,reminicing on the past as they remember a fallen loved one .IBefore this I have only read Daredevil Yellow which is pretty darn good ,but have heard good things bout both this and Spider-Man Blue (And Captain America White was SUPER delayed )

So I am so mixed on this book,cause when its great its great .....But I think,frankly, it made points that didnt feel were clear

I'll start with what I like

1.I like that there are no supervillains ,this is a character study and the villain is Thunderbolt Ross

2.This is less a superhero story and more a classic monster tale,which is fitting,as the initial idea for Hulk was based on the 1931 Frankenstein (Personal favorite of mine ) and even throw in a refrence to that film

3.Banner is an unreliable narrator ,we dont know how much of this is true and how much is his biases shaping the story .I dunno its an element I liked

4.Theres a lot of solid moments like Hulk in a cave with Betty (A scene later adapted into 2008's Incredible Hulk ), and a scene where Hulk pets but accidently kills a rabbit,I just really dug those scenes

5.There is a badass fight with Iron Man (Bulky gold suited Iron Man) and I just found that neat

6.Tim Sales artwork is gorgeous ,I reallly love the stylized look he brought to comics,and his Hulk is truly monstrus but sympathetic,also give me Karloff vibes

.....Ya know as I am typing I think I like it more thenI dislike it ...But I have three problems

1.Banner and Doc Samsons narration and analyzation got tedious real fast

2.The main focus of the book is Bruce is great in concept,the link of Hulk and Thunderbolt Ross and to qoute Clopain from Hunchback of Notre Dame "Whois the monster and who is the man " ....But also that Betty mightve fallen for Bruce for the wrong reasons,theat she saw the toxic elements of him similar to the toxic elements of her father,and tried to ficx him and...I dunno that just wasnt clear at all till near the end and just felt forced

3.Oh the ending sucks ,after a good final showdown with Ross ,Banners flashback ends with him being yelled at by Ross,then freaking out in Samsons office,leaping away and it just fell flat for me

Oh and a me thing.....I didnt relize this took place after Betty had died till a good way though (I didnt even know Betty had ever died in the comics )

I do reccomend this ,it is good ,but it did fizzle for me.Not Loebs strongest writing,though Tim Sales art make this reccomended

Modern theatre cast st au!!

Musical - Cats!!

Steve wasnt disappointed with the character he was cast with, actually he was quite exited for it, but he was a little confused.

Originally, when he and Robin came to audition into the new show Dustin was working on. (Cats) (seriously the kid was amazing at building sets and helping with the tech side of theatre aswell as offering backing vocals if needed?!) Steve had auditioned for the role of Munkustrap.

There wasnt alot for the role compared to others he had done before, the whole musical itself was basically all song and dance which was a nice change. Sure Munkustrap danced most of the songs, but Steve had trained in both ballet and contemporary since he was little (much to his fathers resentment), so the constant dancing was a fun concept!!

Plus, with Munkustrap, it was more of a singing and narration role, most of the time performing to accompany another actor. He was also a protective cat, so steve thought performing as him would be quite fitting.

When Robin finally came barreling into their shared apartment followed by thier friend Chrissy, with the letters telling them what roles they got, Steve was surprised to see that he was given the Character of 'Mr Mistoffelees/ Quaxo' the magical cat.

"I just dont get it robs... why would they give me Mistoffelees of all cats?" He wasnt unhappy, just confused, Mistoffelees was often given to more... smaller (?) male actors. Which Steve knew he wasnt that small.

"Well maybe its because your an amazing dancer who ive witnessed do like 50 pirouette in a row, AND could easily steal the show, but doesnt like admitting how good he is out of fear people will think hes some rich kid who just gets roles handed to him instead of trying really hard because his parents disowned him leaving him to work paycheck to paycheck while also babysitting to get through performing arts school?" Robin smirked up at him over the copy of the letter telling her she got 'Skimpleshanks the railway cat', the same role she auditioned for.

Chrissy laughed, her role as 'Victoria' also displayed out infount of her, "You know shes not wrong stevie!" Mischief glinted in her eyes as she held her girlfriends hand.

Steve looked to the two of them and huffed, "I can do like 27 not 50." He roled his eyes at the unimpressed look Robin gave him, but it didn't last long before they all laughed.

Steve was pleased for them, he and Chris had met as kids, the two children of rich familys who had convinced thier parents to send them to dance school, who also lived in the same small town, quickly became close before chrissys mother moved her away. Thankfully however, they reconnected back in college away from their controlling families.

They had met Robin in a production of Wicked a couple years later, she was playing Elphaba while Chrissy was Galinda and Steve had the role as Fiyero.

Mid way through practicing the production, there had been a fire in the theatre that had him and Robin trapped for hours in the bathroom. It had left Steve with a pretty nasty concussion too.

While hiding in one of the musty old stalls, they had a heart to heart were Rob had confessed her feelings for their co star and couldnt go through with kissing Steve on stage. He had understood and after being saved from the burning reck of the old theatre, desided to come up with a way to help with Robin's stage kissing problem.

Turned out, after talking with a couple of the kids he babysits, there was an easy change that could be made to the story that fit the character archs better, aswell as not force Robin to have to kiss a boy on stage.

With permission, the kids had taken the script, making a change that left the two women as the love interests instead, while the Scarecrow Fiyero took over looking after Oz. It was an instant hit, pulling out the shows hidden queer themes. Also leading to the now power couple that is Robin and Chrissy, who didnt take long after the first show to confess to eachother!!

Now him and rob share an apartment, with Chris basically living there too even though she had her own apartment and roommate too. All now being told they finally all were cast in the same production again!

"I dont even get to sing my own song though!" He slumped into the sofa, taking a moment to glare at Robin as she chuckled at him from where she sat on the floor between Chrissy legs.

"Yes buttttt you get like the coolest costume and the best dance number all while being serenaded by whoever is playing Rum Tum Tugger!" Robin threw her hand that wasnt being held by her girlfriend in the air as she talked, "Plus Mistoffelees has a bunch of like, jumps and spinnys which is like... literally your favourite thing to do when dancing so dont worry about how you got the role, be exited that you get to do it!!!"

Steve looked down and smiled, "I am exited... it's going to be the first performance with us and all the kids either performing or working front or back of house... plus Jon said hes helping backstage this year and doing promotional work, and Hoppers joining again, I so am exited. I just want this to be perfect Robs."

He looked up to see his best friend giving him a knowing smile. They had worked hard for this, both with unsuporting familys, all the tireless classes, with boring tough part time jobs to afford paying off loans and rent. They worked for this.

Even if this was performing as mystical, jellicle cats on Broadway.

"If it helps," Chis let go of Robin, scooching her legs around her girlfriend so she could move to cuddle into Steve's side. He leaned into her, snorting slightly hearing Robin huff that steve stole Chrissy from her.

"If it helps, I'm almost certainly convinced I know who got Tugger if your wondering who got to sing your song." She beamed at him, excitedly grabbing his hands in hers and pulling them both to be sitting up as Robin came and rested her arms on their legs, "my roommate auditioned for Cats aswell! He doesnt often do shows like this but his dream role ever since I ment him has been Rum Tum Tugger!! Hes really good aswell so if its him I bet you guys would work wonders together!"

Steve laughed and shook his head. "You make it sound like Mistoffelees and Tugger are inlove!?"

The girls gasped! "Steve I know you're a dingus who probably has enough brain damage to stop you from performing, but you HAVE to know of the power couple that is Tugoffelees!?!?" Robin said sounding aghast from where she sat on the floor, hand to her chest and everything!

"Omg EXACTLY!!" Chrissy looked between Robin and Steve, "Tugger doesnt want everything he cant have, stealing the spotlight whenever he can, while misto playfully acts uninterested when every fauns over Tugger, ONLY FOR Rum Tum Tugger to sing an entire song dedicated to Mistoffelees being perfect!?!? I dont think so steve, that has gay and smitten written all over it!!!"

Steve snorted and shook his head, looking at the girls like they couldnt be serious. When he noticed their expressions hadnt changed, still holding firm about this suposed truth for these beloved characters, he looked at them like they had grown a third head.

"They are CATS??" he said incredulously!

"THEY'RE GAY CATS STEVE!!" The lesbians yelled back in unison!

He groaned knowing he wouldnt win this argument, even tho being queer himself and understanding what it ment to have characters like them in media, especially theatre. Still he had never been able to get into any fandoms, even if he did perform in some shows with respectably large ones, much unlike his female counterparts who revealed in needing out one every musical they heard. So honestly the concept of how two cats based on children's poems were gay? Very possible. Was he about to analyse every rendition of the character to determine their sexual preferences?

Yeah no, he would much rather just dance his little heart out performing as said character, than worrying about anyone else's but his owns sexuality.

Plus, he doubted he could even have the same 'romantic tension' with he co star, whoever he was, anyway. He had given up on romance ages ago since his last relationship with Nancy Wheeler, a kick ass reporter who had been writing an article about how the group had gotten the chance to rewrite parts of Wicked, crashed and burned the night of the grand finale.

Steve gave out a long suffering sigh, "Uhhhh fine you win gay cats," he rubbed a hand over his face, "but really chris, your roommate? I thought you said he was in a metal band??"

"Oh he is!" She absent mindedly went to stroke Robin's hair as she spoke, "but he and his best friend are in some of my music classes, they often audition for more 'out there' parts. His most known role was the Phantom in Phantom of the opera, and I think his friend got Michael last year in an off Broadway production of Be more chill, they both auditioned for this show aswell! They have like amazing range as singers!!"

"Well if they get any parts it's going to be nice to finally meet them!" Rob says looking pleasantly blissed out from being pet by her girlfriend. "You've been rooming with this guy for like three years and I dont think I've seen more than a picture of him!"

Chrissy giggled, they all knew her roommate was her other best friend she lovingly called rockstar to the point no one was sure what his real name was. At this point it was a running joke to see who ever could meet him first since the man was often sleeping, or away through out most of the evening and night. Constant clashing of schedules making it so neither him or robin had met the elusive man. Which was kind of shocking since apparently to chis, he was very hard to miss!

"Definitely!! Hes out of state till next week, just before rehearsals start actually, so I was wondering I could stay here till hes back?"

"Do you really have to ask Chris?" Robin asked, making her girlfriend turn to her with a shy smile.

"I love having you here and so does Robs, you practically live here at this point" steve pointed out, "honestly I'd tell you to move in if I knew you didnt like liveing with your other friend so much!"

Opening it and reaching in she pulled out a bottle of vodka that Murray, their very... exasperated acting coach, had lovingly gifted them after their auditions.

Robin looked Steve in the eye, a glimmer of something mischievous as she brandished the bottle.

Can I ask what you make of the ReMind menu art? It may be a small thing, but I also interpreted Sora as uncomfortable in the paopu scene, so it made me kind of sad that the menu has this pretty art of him and Kairi with the paopu fruit again.

Well my personal opinion of it is that I don’t like it at all lol. Precisely for the reason that I know 99.9% of people looking at it will believe it was made with romantic intent, even though I myself don’t believe it was. I find it extremely annoying in that way....however. It is also I think dripping with Nomura’s very specific brand of spite and so it’s also as interesting as it is annoying. First of all, it makes perfect sense to have K on there since Remind was all about getting her back, so whatever, that’s to be expected. But what’s strange is the way they are positioned. If it was supposed to be romantic I would expect S to have been revealed to be walking towards her, ready to share his paopu with her. Or at the very least, for them to be walking together side-by-side as equals looking off to the horizon together- or looking at each other. But instead what do we get?

They each have their own paopu, they are not sharing them (perhaps this says something about them each having their own, separate destinies). K is lagging behind slightly, looking at S (she has always been trying to catch up to him hasn’t she) while Sora walks on seemingly oblivious to her. This is especially pronounced by the fact that the title screen starts with just him, then she fades in like a ghost or invisible guardian he doesn’t see (I believe Niku also talked about this in the srt, how it may also be a hint that her heart was in S’s throughout kh3, as it was in kh1- she was there the whole time and he didn’t realize it, which I still firmly believe especially after Remind). If you think I’m reaching with that, consider the fact that when they released the soundtrack cds, there was a special sleeve that Nomura said he helped design himself (which is rather unusual for him to get involved in the design of merchandise packaging). I need to find the promotion for it to check exactly how it worked but iirc, when the cd was in the sleeve, the S artwork was all that could be seen (or maybe K could be seen on the back? Can’t remember), then when the cd was removed K could be seen through the clear plastic next to S. Quite literally they were on separate planes. (I think there was also a folder they sold with a similar concept where if the folder was empty you could see k through the front but if you had papers in the folder she disappears and you can only see S lol yikes)

Anyway, no matter what the nail in the coffin on this matter will always be the fact that Irino said he didn’t think that the paopu scene was a confirmation of romance. As S’s voice actor he would have been told if it was supposed to be romantic (tbh I suspect he had already been told it definitively WASNT but he couldn’t speak about that publicly yet), and he also wouldn’t have said that if he had been told any other scene was supposed to be romantic. People can do all the mental gymnastics they want but if S’s own voice actor doesn’t believe there’s a romance there by the end of kh3 I’m not going to either. He would be one of the first to know if there was.

Edit: oh yeah I forgot to mention that when remind was released Nomura said the art was a hint towards the next title, which turned out to be Melody of Memory so... take that how you will. We all know how that one ended lol To me the separate destinies thing is the message.

Ghost au: First concepts!

I thought I should make this all a text post first, as my art seriously seams to disappear from the tags theres at least 2 recent ones that aren’t there. So anyway take the core beginnings of the au.

Star, ‘19’ -

She seamingly has it all this smoking hot young woman who seams to have no responsiblity in the slightest this total free spirit. Only problem is she’s a bit odd. She talks to herself a lot... except the issue is. She sees and talks to ghosts. About three years ago maybe longer she can’t remember it started happening, she walked so far down the beach she reached this sort of opening to the cave. (Completely now without the graffiti.) it wasn’t a cave ... not completely but the hollowed out remains of a hotel. The hotel, she read about this every spoke on the place how grand it used to be. More importantly the money it brought the place back in the day.

That was when she met them. The boys. This group of the dead, ghosts. She at first was welcoming, though frightened but it soon became clear that they had attached to her. Ghosts aren’t typically one to leave where they died or a place of real emotional importance unless they attach. And they did, they went practically insane seeing the Modern world(... well 1987) she meets Micheal and passes the attachment to him without knowing at first.

- quick note that in this au the Lobby would look completely different, there wouldn’t be the graffiti or the posters and art and items scattered about we all know it for. It would be extremely bare bones; just the remains of the hotel and some barley intact furniture. The candles were added by star.

Micheal -

Himself. A adverage teen with the same story that he had moved with his family here. He was drawn to star unexplainably. He had the same ability at first, completely unknowing that her friends were ghosts until he started to see them more clearly. The blood, the sunken faces- the transparency. He was F R E A K E D until he got to know them. Sam- basically himself and the frog brothers are just paranormal little conspiracy theorists who want to get the lost boys on tape. They desperately just want to know everything about ghosts.

Sam and the frogs-

They themselves don’t change much as charecters, except the frog brothers are more into ghosts. Into the studies and the need for proof, they need to know if the boys are good and if they can’t make them pass on or leave people alone.

David , 18-

His story is about the same. Orphaned at a young age, stealing from pockets as a kid using his charm. He found the boys and they started doing it all together, it went pretty well... though they never did have much street credit. See, adult gangs never had much of a like or respect to these kids messing around - threats were often cast, insults thrown but it never got serious. They never liked calling attention to the police. Though one night a fight went down, the boys were never heavy on weapons- they didn’t have guns like the adult gangs. David had one, but he was a terrible shot and it had proven fatal, he was shot in the gut and ended up dying from his wound.

Particularly pissy more often then not. Wildly protective and territorial. Though out the years it’s not uncommon for jackass teens to stumble across the hotel, some place to party. He scares them off. Poessesion rumored.

Marko, 18-

First of them all to die. He could never control himself, not really. He didn’t have manners, he didn’t want to - he didn’t want to look ‘proper’ or say his graces to the pretty people. Best of them at stealing, small , quick and cute it was easy- though that didn’t always translate. He would get to cocky for himself mess up deals at times. Some people didn’t like that, his attitude, the snarky way in which he spoke. Rival gangs, angry bar patron- he’s not sure. None of them partially good people. He was cornered in a ally and stabbed- a lot.

Particularly clingy, HATES being alone or any sort of seperation.

Paul, 19-

Escaping. From what? From everything. Unpaid tabs , mistakes, botched robbery and his cheating at cards. Cornered. Beach? Water? Somewhere with water. Drowned.

Cannot sit still, cannot leave things be. Fear of water, understandably.

Dwayne , 19-

The big one, 1906. He was in the hotel when it had happened. Unfortunately he was one of those to get stuck in it. Crushed , impaled or worse. He’s not really sure, he doesn’t really remember it or want to.

The one to find and help laddie. He was the one to bring him with them.

Laddie, 11-

Some kid who went missing in the 1970s and wasnt found. No one knows how he died, he does not much either. He doesn’t know a lot. He ‘woke up’ on the side of the road one day and no one quite has the heart to explain to him. He was found by Dwayne, one of the few that didn’t scare the boy- laddie was just estatic that someone isn’t ignoring him. Someone can see him! Before Dwayne found him bye Would wander the boardwalk tugging at women’s sleeves trying to get their attention, they would turn around and scream or turn pale. Terrifed. They couldn’t see him.

Star also felt bad for him; so when she visits she’ll occasionally bring something for him to mess around with; play with. Sometimes ghosts can just barely move objects, one can hear a ball move - it echos around the cave.

Ghosts-

Breif rundown. I’m basing this more off the real (if you believe in such.) sort. So basically no one can really see or hear them except in certain cases or if they manipulate enough. This isn’t Casper they can’t just walk around town or go wherever they want. It’s where they died; a place of emotional importance or if they made a attachment to someone. In cases like laddie where you either don’t remember your death and carry on like normal or just- wander aimlessly.

Also since their ghost the boys haven’t really seen the world since 1906 and are sort of rocked by the modern world of the 1980’s and just. Star and Micheal answer a lot of questions.

Episode Three

First of all...what the fuck was that challenge. And what the fuck was the logic to judging it?! I spent so much of this episode just being confused. I think it would have been so much better if they were allowed to come up with their own ideas and characters, instead of having this really narrow space to work in; that was bizarre to me. Like Just Jan could have done a really delusional, high energy character who was the worst singer in the world; that would have been funny! Instead they stuck them with these bizarre storylines that made no sense, and had very little humour in them. Idk whose choice that was but it was a choice. Anyway, let's get into the rundown!

1. Aiden Zhane

I am not living for Aiden at all. Her attitude in both episodes has let a lot to be desired for me. And also, that runway? What was that? I could buy that dress on Asos, glue some bows to it and have that look. The concept was cool, the bows falling on her? Cool idea. But if you're going to do that then you need to Do It, yknow? Like it would have been cool if she'd had a huge wig completely made of bows. Or if she'd had an umbrella and made it look like it was raining bows, or something, that could have been really cool! It could have been amazing and she took a really easy way out. Disappointing. And her performance was dull. She deserved to be in the bottom more than Nicky Doll.

The only thing I will say for Aiden in this episode is the way Brita and Redacted behaved towards her was really uncool. They did that whole "you didnt lead us at all", and then told her that they carried her? You know that if she had led them they would have totally thrown her under the bus and said "well we do this professionally and we wanted to do this, but she was the leader and she made us do that". It was totally a damned if you, damned if you don't; and that was really unfair.

2. Brita

Guys, I am Bored of Brita. I am over it, and I am underwhelmed. I haven't seen anything from her that I've enjoyed! Her looks have been dull, she's not that funny, and I dont like the way she behaves (like I said with Aiden). She wont be next to go home, but hopefully she wont be long.

3. Crystal Methyd

STOP TRYING TO CHANGE CRYSTAL METHYD! I'm so sick of them going "oh her makeup is always the same", when it has been different each time!! She has a style and a brand, but it's not the same face!! Aiden Zhane does the same fucking face, none of them have picked that out! Loads of queens come in and they only have one face! Not mentioning any names Silky Nutmeg Ganache and Roxxxy Andrews. They got away with it because they were beauty mugs and that's the type of drag this show is biased towards. Crystal Methyd is an artist, let her do herself! That runway look was ugly though. Having said all that. Her face was gorgeous, I loved her makeup, I just thought that look wasnt very her! It didn't suit her somehow, it wasn't right. But she tried really hard during the improv, and I think she did a passable job! She honestly should have been safe, fight me. I just really hope she doesn't change herself to please the judges bc she has such a great vision and point of view, and I don't want her to lose sight of how great she is.

4. Dahlia Sin

Dahlia, Dahlia, Dahlia. Speaking of being underwhelmed, am I right? I had such high hopes for Dahlia, but this week she just didn't pull anything out. I personally think the fruit sketch was really funny, but it would have been exactly the same if Dahlia hadn't been in the group. She was so focused on being ~sexy~ (which is tough in a broccoli costume), that she forgot about everything else. Plus her bows and buttons look was just...odd. from the neck up it had this very avant garde, couture feel, but the outfit itself just looked unfinished. And then to have this weird arse peekaboo thing? Really weird choice. She deserved to be in the bottom and, after that lip sync, she deserved to go home.

I have seen a lot of posts about Dahlia "storming out", and I genuinely don't understand what they're talking about? Like, okay, she didn't say anything before she walked off, does that really constitute storming off? If she'd walked off while Ru was still talking, or if she'd yelled/screamed/sworn, then sure, maybe - but from what I saw she was just upset and wanted to leave as fast as possible. Idk, also they haven't released Untucked on the UK Netflix, so maybe there was more I didnt see.

5. Gigi Goode

I live for Gigi so much. I mean come on! Her character in the improv was passed out half the time and still had presence! She's so funny, and she's not afraid to let loose and get ugly. I think she did a good job in the improv, especially for someone without all that much experience, and her look on the runway was incredible. Solid 8/10 for Gigi this week.

6. Heidi N Closet

Heidi was robbed. I bought everything Heidi was selling this week. I bought it, I didn't stream it, I didn't rent it from the Netflix, I bought it. She was so funny during the challenge; the flipper? She spat out? Iconic. She had me dying the whole time, her, Jackie Cox and Gigi Goode should have their own series, I'd watch the hell out of it. Then she came bouncing down the runway as glitter Pinnochio, and she told that story about when she was at school and I loved every second! Shes so charming, and loveable, and relatable, and Jaida Essence Hall must have been gagged when she was top 2. She was robbed, she should have won, and she should keep her name! That whole thing with "the mouth has to change shape and it's not satisfying to say"? Bullshit, utter bullshit bitch. Heidi N Closet 4lyf.

7. Jackie Cox

Jackie made me so happy this week! Their whole group was hilarious, but Jackie doing the bad ventriloquist act just sent me, I loved it. And she just seems like the sweetest person as well! Her runway look was gorgeous, I loved the reference, her makeup was absolutely stunning, Jackie Cox is seriously the whole package. Her and Heidi should have been top 2 together.

8. Jaida Essence Hall

Jaida came in looking like a pageant queen, but she seriously flexed her comedy muscles this week! Her "bad apple" was hilarious, and she really committed to it! She was a firm leader in the group, but she was a good team player in the scene, she let everyone else have their moment too, and it was a good performance! I was a little bit disappointed that her runway look was very very similar to her spring mini challenge look from last week, but it was still a good look, and honestly I probably wouldnt have noticed if it hadn't been one episode after the other. She has shown a lot of diversity already, I think she just set the bar so high last week that I was really expecting something incredible, and I got something that was "just" good instead. She's still one to beat at the moment!

9. Jan

Jan made me so proud this week!! She was really funny in the skit, she had so much energy and enthusiasm, I loved it! Her jokes were funny, she picked a solid character and played it well, and can we talk about the runway though??? I really expected her to come out in something cute, because her personality is so bubbly and instead she gave me horror high fashion, monster couture and she Sold. Every. Second. It was a total transformation from the challenge to the runway and that, at the heart of it, is what I love about drag; that transformation aspect is just art to me. For me, Jan has it all. She definitely should have been top 3 this week. I think she's served the best runways so far, and I cannot wait to see what she does next week.

10. Nicky Doll

Okay, you guys know I love Nicky Doll. This week was not a good week for her. I appreciate that improv must be so hard in your second language, but I think she suffered a little bit from Dahlia Syndrome: she was so focused on staying pretty that she didn't really deliver anything. I kind of wish her character had literally just been French and spoke no English - part of the joke could have been that language barrier and Crystal/Window not understanding a word she said and her getting more and more frustrated about it. That could have been really funny. Also, her runway look...I know where she was going with it, it was a cool concept, and it was executed okay, there was just something missing, you know? It felt a little bit rushed, and again there was this real focus on being ~pretty~. Maybe if she'd looked a little more Cinderella ish, like her makeup wasn't perfect, and her hair was tied up like she was actually sewing, it would have sold me a little more character. I'm not sure, everything was just a little off for me this week, but I still think she's fierce af, and we all stumble sometimes. I'm looking forward to seeing her get back on her feet next week!

11. Rock M Sakura

Rock M was picked last for the challenge, I could not believe it. She deserved better than that, I was shook. She definitely picked the right group though, she was really funny as the Orange! She looked like she was having fun, and that's what I love about Rock M, is that I have fun watching her have fun. Her jokes were great, she matched Jan's energy, and I think she did a good job. I loved her runway look as well, the Alice in Wonderland concept was great, and I love that she kept the dress pretty simple so that the focus was on her hair and makeup! Her makeup was gorgeous, and the detail of the buttons on her face was stunning! It was a great concept, well executed, this week was a great week for Rock M, and I'm going to be furious if she gets picked last again.

12. Widow Von Du

Widow is getting The Edit. The edit that queens of colour who are talented get, where they paint them as bitchy, or loud, or as stepping on the other girls' toes; so that the audience isn't too pussed off when they get eliminated. Widow is exceedingly talented, and funny, and filled with personality. She also serves looks and delivers incredible performances. I will not let this edit take that away from her. She did great this week. She delivered everything I ordered in the challenge and more, she completely transformed for the runway, and she sold me a great presentation. Widow is definitely one to beat.

Okay so this started as a reader, then became a self insert, and now it's a little feel-good ficlet for @scribblepigeon because she's feeling down today and she makes such wonderful art and is such a sweet angel she deserves to be loved and petted!

She could practically feel him pouting, his warm hands restless on her legs, rubbing at the fleecy material of her pajama bottoms and squeezing from her ankle, across her calf, to her knee. Every so often, his eyes would dart over to them, to where her head rested in his lap, a puddle of cocoa bean hair against a backdrop of black and white carnival stripes. His stare focused on the pair of pale hands tipped in black, fingers combing through the strands, petting and stroking it back from her face. She wasnt sure how a purr could sound smug, but Beetlejuice's did, rumbling against her chest; she could nearly hear the smirk on his face, taunting Dewey.

Finally, the angel sighed, the slight aura around his head pulsing. "Come on, hand her over. It's my turn."

"Fat chance, twinkle toes."

"Seriously?" He scowled, a very strange look on his normally sweetly rounded face. "Its been an hour."

"What's your point?" He grinned, his nails scratching at her scalp, which coaxed a sigh from her. "She's happy where she is. Arentcha, snack cake?"

"Mmm." She glanced up at her devil, her incubus, his teeth gleaming and his hair and horns a light rose-pink at the tips, mischievous green at the roots. She was comfortable, but Dewey just looked so sad, with such longing in his soft eyes. "He's got a point, Beej."

The grin fell from his face, what was pink now flashing just the barest red, and Dewey's face lit up like a Christmas tree. His arms opened as she sat up and turned, twisting to lay her head in his lap. His hands, palms soft though his fingertips bore heavy calluses from the strings of his guitar, cradled her head, lifting her up to press a gentle kiss to her forehead.

"There you go, you comfortable, baby?" She nodded, smiling as she felt her heart flutter, shivers running down her spine as his warm hands buried themselves to the wrist in her hair. "So pretty," he murmured, admiring the shine of her hair in the warm, golden light of his aura. "How'd we get so lucky, huh?" 

Both of you ignored the pointed gagging sound from the other end of the couch.

For a while, all was calm. Dewey's fingers were tender as they twisted the curled ends of her hair around them, sliding deep through the strands to massage her scalp. Beetlejuice amused himself with slipping his hands up the legs of her pajamas to feel her bare skin against his palms. Soon, though, he shifted further down the couch, nearly shoulder to shoulder with the angel, his hands kneading at her thighs. She bit at her lip, knowing exactly where such touches would lead, and she heard the beginning rumbles of a purr. Oh, he could smell her. Shit.

"Knock it off and leave her alone, wouldja?" Dewey's eyes narrowed, his corona flickering in exasperation. Beetlejuice chuckled, ignoring the angel's protests as he slid her pajama bottoms off entirely.

"Hey, give me a break. If you're gonna steal her from me, you can at least let me have a snack. Besides, I don't hear any protests from her." He smirked up at her, his fingertips cool against her thigh. "How about it, feeder? Want me to stop?"

She shook her head, settling more firmly in Dewey's lap, reaching up to cup his cheek, his stubble rough against her palm. Dewey sighed, giving up.

"Fine."

"Like you'd pass up a chance to watch me get her off, anyway."

"Shut up."

these bitches can also teleport short distances now??? like mingjue teleported. he can teleport. 

AND THEY HAVE GIANT SPIRIT THINGIES??? LIKE AT THE END MINGJUE FUCKING FOUGHT ONE OF HIS ANCESTORS W A GIANT SPIRIT THAT CAME FROM HIM

he had a red one that was buff and showed some boobie but the spirit wasnt the hottest, i can make it hot though.

the ancestor had a light blue one that was basically a skeleton w hair with a floaty piece behind him. i can also make that sexy

i really want to see the concept art for these spirits though they were NOT standing still or anything and i cant w the CGI used for them

the dragon only appeared briefly after huaisang big brained and reset coffins, and it was all spinny n stuff and huaisang was SMUG......he reset the tomb before him bubba did.

^ that said there was two tombs, the white(?) tiger and the green dragon, they had to balance out those tombs or whatever before going into the main tomb, which i think is where the first master of the nie clan is held?? which is why he had that spirit thing and was able to posses someone.

so they cross the bridge into the main tomb, and that’s where huaisang falls off and mingjue calls after him. mingjue dives down to save him, and uses baxia to fly about and catch him. and she leaves a deep fucking cut into the wall bc they slide down some before finally stopping. 

so mingjue is holding huaisang nd all that. and he manages to 1. throw huaisang above him (w magic usage). 2. pull baxia up and throw her to huaisang, and baxia pulls huaisang up the rest of the way and he lands on the other side of the bridge, BUT, mingjue falls AND I CANT HANDLE IT.

LIKE HE’S UNDER THE IMPRESSION HE’S GOING TO DIE SO HE’S LIKE.......SMILING BC HE TRUSTED HUAISANG I GUESS

BUT HUAISANG WAS LIKE IM GOING TO THROW MYSELF BACK DOWN THERE AND GET MY BROTHER.

so he does and he goes through this maze that always lead him to the same spot, until hes chased a bit and knocked the fuck out-- then he wakes up in nmjs lap

AND THIS IS WHEN NMJ FIRST ACTUALLY CRIES-- like i THINK he teared up a bit beforehand, like when nhs calls him out for what they’re doing and he prolly got overwhelmed by 1. realizing what they’re doing. 2. his little brother is mad at him + accusing him of doing evil shit. 3. ALSO HUAISANG SAYS BASICALLY “WHO ARE YOU TO DECIDE THEIR FATE?” after it was pointed out only Evil men were sacrificed. and nmj later says something similar to this to jgy before he dies.

but he actually cries when they’re both in this. whatever part of the temple bc he thinks the both of them are going to die down there and it’s pretty much his fault they’re both there.

anyways huaisang big brains again and gets them out right. they go back and find everyone. and nmj is like “just me and nhs will be going ok” but his men r like “WE’RE WILLING TO GO W U!!!” and nmj tears up again.

then the whole thing starts with the spirits fighting, nmj fighting the ancestor to seal the sword spirit, all that

NOW TO TALK ABOUT HUAISANG AND HIS FLUTE: jgy used huaisang as another way to aggravate mingjues qi. he taught huaisang the version of clarity that he manipulated, and that’s what leads mingjue to killing three of the men that came with them while enraged by his qi. huaisang didn’t realize this at the time bc at first clarity was working! but i think he saw it as the sword spirit overpowering clarity and killing those men

either that, or huaisang only said that as to not distress mingjue further, bc when mingjue realizes all of them are dead, he cries hard, like really really hard. 

they do their bows for those who died (bc when they arrived they had like. 20 men. and pretty much all of them got fucking killed) and there’s a scene after they’re out of them looking over the land similar to when they were younger, and mingjue says “Huaisang, no matter what you want to do, Da-ge will protect you” and bitch i CRIED

there were also several scenes of baby mingjue and huaisang i couldnt handle it they’re so fucking cute pleading emoji pleading emoji pleading em

then i THINK. ok so after that there’s text, and i BELIEVE it’s going over how mingjue qi deviated a little after everything happened. huaisang and him were able to reconcile in the movie, but im not sure how soon the movie was set before mingjue qi deviated.

so basically after this, it’s showing mingjues funeral. huaisang is in his bedroom grieving, when one of his books go wacky, and shows the error in the song of clarity that guangyao taught him. So huaisang figured out first, WAY before wwx did, what guangyao was doing, and that’s why his brother lashed out and killed the remaining men at the temple the way he did.

then guangyao walks in like “stop grieving bitch”(????) and huaisang stands up, and THAT’S the scene where huaisang is like “thank you, san-ge” and does the bow-- which i believe then goes into like, how everything unfolded in the untamed. That’s when he began planning everything and he knew his target immediately.

this whole movie is STUPID good and im not over it

yes the cgi was wonky sometimes but also its the untamed. 

and im thinking like. bc unironically, i think this movie was done better than Living Dead, and i think it’s purely because they didnt have to introduce new characters and the like, + it was easier to stay IC vs how wen ning became OOC w LD

should they have had more screentime to make LD, I think it would’ve been a pretty great concept-- and if they had a better budget, bc with.........new, main-ish, antagonist characters, the plain clothing was >:(

but with FJ, even with the shitty cgi at times, they had enough budget to get a shit ton of horses, so like,

Peacock miraculous theory

Alright yall, the current state of the peacock miraculous, Mayura in general, Emilies coma and the damage it does/did to Natalie and Emilie has been wracking my brain FOR MONTHS but I think I’ve got something now

So buckel up folks, this is gonna get longer. Here we go

Lets start with the obvious question everybody had (and immediately dismissed as a mistake) in “Mayura”. Why did the miraculous look different and what does it mean

There is alot to unpack here, so first things first.

Simplified answer: in the first picture Duusu is IN the miraculous and in the lower she’s OUT of it.

“But how can Duusu be IN the miraculous, nobody is wearing it!” I hear you asking and of course I’ll explain. What I believe is that the way we saw the peacock in “Mayura” came to be because Duusu was renounced, meaning she was put into the miraculous without anyone wearing it to conceal her or something like that. This already happened before, first time when Marinette and Adrien opened their miraculous boxes

Plagg and Tikki are already in their Miraculous and power them up and only come out to face their new holders. Also nice little touch, the ring starts glowing first because Plaggs a hungry little shit with no patience to get cheese lol

But the second time this happened is the one I wanna focus on. In “the Collector” when Gabriel detransformed to akumatize himself.

These are the two forms of the butterfly (or any miraculous for that matter) that we know of but when Hawkmoth detransformed back into Gabriel to become the Collector, Gabriel did something interestin. He renounced Nooroo. Then this happened

The miraculous turned back into its “active form” even though Gabriel wasnt wearing it and stayed that way when he put it away.

Meaning yes, the peacock miraculous we saw in “Mayura”makes perfect sense when Duusu was simply renounced.

Next.

I dont have a smooth transition for thisbut stay with me, I need to explain this first. Why does Mayura/Natalie look so different from the other holders and the way Duusu and the miraculous damage her (and Emilie)

As everyone hopefully noticed by now, Mayuras design looks very different from the other miraculous holder. Everybody (including ancient holders) looks like they are “wearing” their powers (suiting up) but Mayura looks like she’s possessing the power, the way the akuma victims do. No I#m not about to tell you that mayura is akumatized, what I’m saying is that Natalie absorbes Duusu as Mayura.

Okay please hear me out

A while ago someone from the ml crew leaked official concept arts and included was Mayuras

as you can see, even though Mayura is tranformed here she’s oddly still wearing the “inactive form”. The miraculous doesn’t fit to the color scheme the way every other does and it has 9 feathers instead of the normal number 5 that is also present in every other miraculous (because of the timer). So yeah, its the normal form.

So what I believe is that since the peacock miraculous is broken, it cant absord Duusu anymore while transforming the holder. Its “leaking” as to say. It can hold Duusu when shes being renounced (as seen in “Mayura”) but once a holder is involved? The power/Duusu go straight through the miraculous right into the person.

Which is why the person using the miraculous becomes so incredibly sick andeven falls into a coma. A human being is not meant to absorb the power of a Kwami. As Astruc said himself Kwamis are GODS, humans needed the jewlery to be able to “use” the Kwamis because they are just THAT powerful (flashback to Plaggs little Cataclysm in “Style Queen” that fucking BROKE 90% of Paris or him being the reason the dinosaurs went extinct)

So we have an explaination for what happened and is currently happening to Emilie and Natalie but thats not everything I have for this point! I also believe that Duusu herself somehow got sick. For this I dont have alot to work with (because of the little screentime Mayura and her miraculous had up until now and 0 scene AT ALL for Duusu herself) but what we have leaves me a bit perplex, starting with Duusus design.

Duusu is the ONLY Kwami whose colors do not fit to the real life animal. Look t this and see what i mean

THIS is not how a peacock looks like, where th is the pink coming from? If Duusu were accurate like every other Kwami (purple butterflies exist, so even Nooroo is accurate even though purple isnt the first color that comes into your mind when you think of butterflies. Its close in my case tho) she would be green instead of pink! But you know what? The green is actually there, let m show you something

In negative Duusus peacock green is there, which lets me believe that Duusu turned pink because shes sick (keep in mind that the show often works with negative/opposite colors, Queen Bee and Antibug for example). Beside that I also find curious how much they focus on Duusus emotional outbursts here in her introduction picture. No other kwami has THIS emotional range, not even Plagg comes anywhere close to this and hes the most “out there” Kwami we know!

Alright, whats next?

Why was Duusu only renounced in “Mayura”? What are her powers and how can Mayura use them?

Last one promise!

From what we have seen in “Mayura” the peacock is simular to the butterfly in terms of the “akumatizing and communication” stick but both of their powers are not the same! The big difference is that the butterfly adds power to a persons emotional energy which posseses them and the peacock takes the emotional energy an dcreates a ptotector out of it. Both use the energy of a person but only Mayuras power is actually really channeling them. When Mayura rescued Hawkmoth in “Heros day”, he collapsed when Mayura channeled his energy but Im pretty sure thats because the peacock is damaged. If it were normal I believe it would give the person the power to control the protector. Probably also alot more but thats everything Im getting out of the one scene we had with her but I think her powers will be very energy based in general. In the concept art is a picture of Mayura attacking with somesort of energy blast and thats there for a reason for sure!

Where I’m getting here with the whole energie thing is that I believe Duusu on her own can channel a persons energy to protect/preserve and maybe even heal a person. Peacocks are (beside other things) known for Spirituality, Awakening, Immortality, refinement and incorruptibility. So Duuse being able to channel a persons energy is possible, its like Plaggs ability to destroy everything on his own.

Okay I think we all know where Im getting here, so Ill just say it.I believe Duusu was only renounced in “Mayura” even though shes sick/damaged because normally shes trying to/being used to keep Emilies comatose body alive. Of course she isnt doing this 24/7, she cant because shes damaged which also expalines why Emilie is not getting better but worse. Duusu and her powers are aick and damaged, they are probably only able to keep her alive for a little longer before they cant stop time anymore.

This is also supported by the last scene in “Gorizilla”. Remeber this?

We dont see Emilie or anything in close up here, but what we can do, is hearing! Remeber the ticking noises that sounded just like the miraculous timer? Again in the concept we also see this

It seems like the miraculous in their normal form can use some kind of powers too and once again, just like the “activated” timer, something is dissapearing from the miraculous. So maybe gabriel is making Duusu useing her powers to help Emilie and the ticking noise we heard was the efect it has on the miraculous like seen above. It stands in question why Duusu would need the miraculous for useing her powers but its likely because its damaged and Astruc once comfirmed that Kwamis need the miraculous jewleries to interact with humans. So since both she and the miraculous are damaged, she needs to use her powers through the miraculous to be able to help. But thats just one possible way, I need more context for this detail.

King of Prism SSS Episode 6 commentary (Minato)

The final episode of Part 2!

This was originally my favorite of the three episodes we are shown in the theatrical “Part 2″. But it was also the one I was most awake for at the time haha. Nowadays I think Joji’s is probably my favorite of the Part 2 episodes, but this one still has a very, very special place in my heart......... AS BIG AS THE OCEAN.......... 

And right off the bat we’re referencing the hidden curry subplot in Pride the Hero. Well, maybe it was obvious to some people, but I definitely wouldn’t have fully known about this subplot without reading about it. Basically early on in Pride the Hero there is a scene where Hiro casually refuses to eat Minato’s curry. Minato can be seen working on his recipe during the movie, but in the end it’s Kouji’s honey/apple curry recipe which gets Hiro back on his feet. Minato sees this as a failure on his part. 

If there is ever a scene where anyone is crying (there will be a few more examples of this before the end of SSS) take a look at Leo. If anyone else is crying, it’s basically guaranteed that Leo is also crying too. He doesn’t even know why Minato is crying here!!! LeoooooOOO..............

Okay, according to the Part 2 pamphlet, from left to right...

Misaki, Nagisa, Gen, Kou, Shiho. 

They all have sort of marine-related names. (cape, shore, broadside of a ship, sailing, saltwater...)

And these two we already met in Young of Prism. 

(Ushio means tide, Tsubasa means wing....)

I really love the voice work on Shiho here. She really sounds so natural. So cute. Favorite Minato sibling.

I know I said Yukinojo’s grandpa was best King of Prism old man, but I’m not sure anymore. Minato’s grandpa is also in the running ahah. I love his intense drama and yet down to typical old man-ness at the same time. HAVE A FISH.

OVER RAIN

Okay this one is forgivable because he says their abbreviated name “O-Ba-Re” which I always struggle to translate. Usually I just spell it all out or put OtR.

It was established in this episode that Minato can taste when something has been made with love. 

This means that Yamada-san’s ramen noodles were clearly MADE WITH LOVE at least.

I think at one point I posted a shitty out of context spoiler about the DARK HISTORY of Edel Rose. Here you go ahah. 

The cheering audience loves Yukinojo’s reaction here. Everyone be like.... nu nu nu nu nu nu..............

This is the only time I know Taiga has been associated with soba except for when they just kind of decided to make it his food item on Prism Rush........ (because I guess pudding a la mode wasn’t a thing back then..............) 

Minato’s reaction is notably a bit more low key than the other boys during Kakeru’s turn.

Kakeru’s catering WASNT MADE WITH LOVE 

Every time I see this I think to myself that I have got to figure out where this is and go there. But I haven’t yet. 

Shizuoka isn’t that far from me and I go there every few months or so for Love Live stuff or to visit Shizuoka Prism Stone, etc. A few days before Part 2 premiered I was actually in Shizuoka and actually spent a good amount of time thinking of things I might see from Shizuoka in Minato’s episode. I was at a tourist attraction (Izu-Mito Sea Paradise) where I went to the snack bar and noticed they had Mishima croquettes. It was the first time I had heard of them. But I decided on something else instead. 

So every time I see this, I think......... should have got the croquette....... 

(and now I must live with the regret.............. forever......................) 

I talk a lot about how this or that is art in SSS. 

But Minato meeting Kouji REALLY IS ART 

In the stream someone called this a “prismgasm” and now I can’t get that out of my head thanks.................................

I love how Minato is not the first, but SECOND Edel Rose boy just entered into Edel Rose against his will by a family member ahaah. (After Taiga by his sister.) 

Okay so, let’s pause for a minute. 

As you can see here this is a senior high school application. So this means Minato was never in the junior high division of Kakyouin Academy and went straight to senior high. 

If we rewind back to Kakeru’s episode, you’ll remember that there was a flashback where Yukinojo met Kakeru back in the heyday of Edel Rose, and they were both wearing junior high uniforms. So this means that a.) The first member of the seven to enter Edel Rose was probably Yukinojo and b.) Kakeru and Yukinojo are the two who have known each other the longest. 

I don’t think you can make an exact timeline of who joined when, but it’s possible to piece together a rough estimate of the order everyone joined by the end of SSS.

So this actually destroys my headcanon that the reason Minato calls Kakeru “Kazuo” is because they have known each other the longest and he knew him before he was Kakeru. So now I don’t know what to think about that anymore ahah. 

Anyway Minato why are you taking the Shinkansen to Tokyo. It’s only like 3 hours from Shizuoka!!! That is insanely close (...... from my perspective...............) what a waste of money haha. 

Favorite Minato face of all time by far. 

Oh gosh this scene. This scene. Where do I even begin. I love, LOVED seeing this side of Minato. He’s always everyone’s rock (excuse me harbor) so it’s really mindblowing to actually see him all nervous and flustered and just oh gosh it made me love him so much more. 

And not to mention Kouji just dragging a boy he’s known for three seconds to eat a children’s lunch......

Everyone goes nuts for this at cheering and agrees they still want to eat this kind of lunch as an adult. I guess I don’t quite understand because I was never a child in Japan haha. But this was the only moment at the mostly quiet 8am showing (when I saw it for the first time) where I could hear people laughing/freaking out.

I have mentioned this already but I just have to say I really love this line. This moment. This whole concept. Minato can taste love. 

I didn’t think it was noticeable from Young of Prism, but when we actually met all of Minato’s siblings and saw that Tsubasa is basically the only one who doesn’t have a marine color scheme or a directly marine-related name.... Even before this scene in the back of my head I was like..... hm...... 

The least they could have done was given her a marine-themed name geez

I had to go back and slightly change some wording in my Young of Prism translation because of this reveal.

I WAS REALLY EXCITED WHEN I SAW THIS, AND THEN ACTUALLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN KOUJI CAME

It’s not “a” new dorm, he’s probably talking about the new dorm that the new boys still live in (but our seven moved back here by choice in episode 1 remember........)

This is another scene where I’m kinda wondering if this plot thread seems sudden or out of place to people who don’t know the side materials. 

Minato’s confidence issues have come up on Prism Rush several times before, and I was actually waiting the entire episode for it to come up here. 

This episode in particular really requires a lot of extracurricular homework doesn’t it....

I believe this is mistranslated. He used ~すら which I think should be “All I could do is watch......” JLPT N1 textbook grammar Minato why......

The least they could do would be to leave a note that says “Minato” means “harbor” but that’s TOO MUCH TIME I GUESS GOTTA GET THOSE EPISODES OUT IN AN HOUR CHOP CHOP

I really like this speech. It’s shockingly down to earth and refreshing. Especially compared to Kakeru and Yukinojo’s episodes. 

Like the other members of the old dudes club, Minato’s family has a tradition too. But Minato is not particularly expected to carry on that tradition since his family realizes it’s no longer viable 

Instead they encourage Minato to enjoy his youth, find himself, and if he doesn’t become a star that’s OK.... of course he can come home anytime. 

Nrrrgggghhaaaaaa such good supportive parents ahhhhhhh

Been waiting a couple months to read this. In the theater all I can ever catch is Shin’s message. (But still the point comes across.) 

“Well that was fast” - the cheering audience (about the sunrise, ruining this beautiful scene lol)

THIS.... SHOW.........

So, a while back I casually mentioned that Kakeru and Taiga’s prism shows were in my top three. Nobody ever asked what the third one was. But. It was this one. I LOVE this show.

From the very moment Minato looks up at the camera here I just get goosebumps from head to toe, and it just stays throughout the entire show. No other prism show has ever made me feel quite this way. 

So towards the end of the Prism Rush Main Story, there is a chapter where the boys are talking about what they want to accomplish in the Prism King Cup. (This is before they know who will be in it.) Minato has a line where he talks about wanting to perform a show like warm soup or something, and as soon as I saw this show I just immediately remembered that line and thought THATS IT. 

THAT’S IT

ITS SOUP 

Even though there are so many cool colors, somehow, it just makes me feel so.... warm. 

Although it didn’t stay for as aggressively long as Joji’s did, this was the first song from Part 2 which got stuck in my head and it’s just... it’s so nice........

Also, even though I have complained about Minato always getting stuck in chef uniforms for his performance outfits I do kinda like this one. It’s the floating jellyfish scarf thing at the back that makes it I think. (I have no idea how else to describe that.) 

I hope he gets a sailor suit next time though eheh. (I like how Minato has a marine theme now too, not just food. Well, he probably always did but it’s more prominent now.)

So Minato technically lost to Joji, but the individual match-ups mean nothing in the long run. (Except for you know..... the last one...... when it’s down to the wire and each side has put up their strongest member...............if you remember who that match-up is--)

It may not be obvious at first, but Minato’s prism show was pretty low leveled compared to the other boys. 

(He did start doing prism shows later than most of them after all... Um Shin being a special case.) 

He only did two jumps and they weren’t even connected. So that being considered, this score is pretty amazing for him. It makes me think the Shuffle members must only be doing like one jump per show to be scoring in the 7000s geez. 

And thus the curry plot goes full circle. Minato, good for you. 

Thus ends what I know as the Part 2 episodes, and also the halfway mark of the series. (There are 12 episodes in all.) Ready or not, on to Part 3.

I really like and have been looking forward to the Part 3 episodes. I think they are a little better than Part 2, but maybe not quite as good as Part 1. I also think Part 3 is possibly the most heart-wrenching collection.... Leo’s episode in particular, which is coming up next week, I have a very strong and personal reaction to. That combined with feeling the need to point out all the PriPara references may mean my post for next week may take some extra time and be frighteningly long ahah..... ha.......

backstory

virginia born and raised babey ! she’s the youngest of five siblings and ...it shows. SJDBJWBDJW growing up would have been pretty chaotic had it not been for the fact that her dad was a pretty well-respected police officer in their town ! him & her mom were high school sweethearts which made no damn sense to emiko considering they’re still happily married...the concept just seems fake to her </3

while her parents had a lot of  mushy love for each other, when it came to their kids they opted to take a more emotionally distanced kind of parenting style bc they didnt wanna like spoil their kids or anything but.....it wasnt exactly the best plan ! emi and all her siblings just learned to be very good liars JDSBWBDJW as kids with strict parents do

being the youngest emi took a while to get into her rebellious phase. for a while she’d just watch her older siblings sneak out and party and do walks of shame and all that jazz...and while she was always down to help them get out of trouble none of them ever really trusted her ? since she was the baby they figured she’d be the most likely to snitch which just made her really ///: bc she wanted to be included so bad

flash forward to senior year of high school and finally emi’s like . okay fuck this it’s MY turn ! her dad had recently decided to get into politics with some encouragement from the police chief so he was busy with his career and her mom was busy helping him. it was the perfect time to do what she wanted since it was less likely she’d get caught

so she goes to this graduation party.....and it’s BAD like she gets fucked up & carried away so she calls her oldest sister ( who had come back into town for emi’s graduation ) to come pick her up & on the way to get emi from this house party, her sister ends up getting into an accident 

she didn’t die though JSBJDSBBWJDBWJDBJWDW just broke some stuff and ended up needing surgery ): and emi obviously got busted that night by her parents which ... wasnt pretty at all especially bc they low key blamed her for her sister’s accident which just made emi feel like pure shit babey ! 

visiting her sister in the hospital is what kinda sparked her fear of hospitals ! bc emi was like super guilty and paranoid that maybe her sister was gonna die or her surgery would go wrong and she’d essentially be at fault...it was just a lot of anxiety that turned into a genuine phobia of hospitals after that

but her sister made it she was okay and her dad used all the buzz and tragedy around his family to kinda boost his political career....which was ugly. her sister had been prescribed some pretty heavy pain killers for the pain & thats where things got.....messy

emi isnt sure when exactly it started but between the guilt she was harboring over her sister’s accident, the stress from her parents as her dad got further and further into virginia politics as well as college anxiety since she was about to start at the universoty of virginia.....she stole some oxy and thats what started what would be a very messy and tumultuous addiction  

as soon as she started college, emi felt as if some of the weight had been lifted. she was living away from her family for the first time and dorming so she promised herself she’d take these four years to grow and figure out who she is......except that didnt exactly happen. instead of exploring herself in a healthy way, emi was using drugs as a sort of escapism from her “old” self. she’s extremely smart and she loves her major, but her professors would often comment her papers had the energy of a “rambling and troubled mind”. by the time she was about to finish her sophomore year she was getting so high people would find her literally passed out in the dining hall. but no one was that worried bc for a good two years, she was a pretty high functioning addict. 

cue the summer after sophomore year when emi overdoses at a party. she woke up in a private hospital room with only her father sitting on the couch, the look on his face something she’ll never forget. while him and her mother knew exactly what happened to emi, they hadn’t told any of her siblings. or anyone at all, for that matter. instead her dad had informed the university emi would be taking a year off to privately study abroad and told emi that’s what she was going to tell people bc he’d just decided to run for mayor ! he essentially guilt-tripped her into thinking telling people the truth would be a selfish act, and one that would basically ruin the family reputation and make everyone really miserable JSDWDBWBDJW he also tells her she’s gonna be shipped off to rehab ! 

so she goes to rehab for a good seven months. everyone at school thinks she’s studying abroad in italy, and emi is literally just counting the days til she can go back home to her dorm bc she’s lonely !!! in rehab !!! and she gets that she should take it seriously but shes just so mad at her dad and herself and the world too ig ... just some good old fashioned angst ! but she finishes rehab and her dad got elected as mayor of her hometown in virginia and shes like good for u can i go back to school please JSBDWJDBJW and he says yes

so she’s back ! ready for the universe to give her a break.....ahaha.....

personality + tidbits

so emi......my baby......she’s a strange one. she’s that bitch that’s super nerdy but in the weirdest way like the stuff she’s into is so specific and just....generally stuff literally no one else would care about but to emi it’s like holy shit this is the coolest thing in the world JSBDJWBDJWBJD she knows a little about a lot so she has the tendency to come across as pretentious if you don’t know her outside of class when in reality she’s just read one too many random facts. also weird in the sense that she’s a STRONG believer in the paranormal and in aliens and in witchcraft and stuff like that as well as believing in things that seem “logical”. it can be confusing to people who view that stuff as silly that someone so smart would be into it. 

speaking of smart.....she’s a polygot which basically means she can speak a bunch of languages ! she’s self-taught, and since she’s a classics major some of her favorites to study include greek and latin ( dead language who ? ). she’s pretty chill about it though and if you wanted to learn she’d be the type that’s 100% down to teach you. she always learns the curse words first just you know....for the fun of it ! she probably has very specific “pet names” for everyone in the friend group in random languages 

anyway she’s also stupid. ASDJWBDWBJDBWJDWJD i mean like in the way that she makes the most .... impulsive decisions that usually have negative consequences. she’s the type to convince herself she knows exactly what she’s then come up with the worst plan you have ever heard in your life. an example of a dumb decision emi has made ? your girl ate a pot brownie the day after she got back in her dorm after rehab bc she convinced herself it was a good way to de-stress. some other dumb decisions include various drunk tattoos ( which thankfully haven’t been too bad save for the words eat me tattooed in small font on her ass ). also owns a stick & poke gun so she’s for sure tried to tattoo friends while intoxicated despite.....not being a tattoo artist ... she’s not even an art student .... SJBDJWBDJW....but she’s very very good at convincing people to join in on her dumb antics so be weary

big on photography !!! she loves taking pictures. always that one friend who reminds you to document the moment and you get annoyed but then when you want to post a picture on insta you’re thankful she was there <3 she has the energy of like .... the dad friend when you need support JSDBWBDJWBDJW she tries to be caring but it just turns into like ... emi high off her ass putting her hand on your shoulder and being like “you know fuck it man you’re amazing” not that good at the emotional stuff like she really wants to be but she legit doesn’t know how.......kinda accidentally turned into an emo kid bc she channels her feelings though some kick ass playlists and the notes app in her iphone instead of talking to people JSBDJWBJDBWJDBJ 

she’s high key struggling but she’s the type to be like no its fine this is fine life is a ride babey better hold on ! tries to keep things flirty and fresh 99% of the time but then you’ll witness the rare emi breakdown which.....involves a whole lot of tweets that will all be deleted within 24 hours and emi will in fact deny they ever existed

really a laid-back girl but the chaotic energy is there folks......she can also very easily get into her youngest child complex if she’s upset which just involves emi being a pain in the ass and everyone having to deal with it JSBDWBDJWBDJWBDJW  she likes to make it hard to say no to her.....not exactly manipulative but sometimes she can get close /: not listed in her fears but she is in fact scared of genuine love and affection ! it’s like she craves it so much she’s terrified abt what will happen if she ever gets it.......so she makes sure she’s never in danger of that by never getting into anything serious.....but then at night shes like damn . kinda want a freak to hold my hand rn and tell me they love me ... JSDBWBDJWBDJWBJDWJDW it’s all fun and games.............

ok thats it im done rambling.................this is so long..............and for what !!!!! i made her more of a clown than i intended but thats okay (: JSDBJWBDWJDBWJ emi might hate clowns but im embracing them !
