"Whats what, dear?" Poppy hadn't turned to face Kingston yet, preoccupied with the candles on the table (and trying to keep herself calm and collected now that her man was here, and she could feel his gaze heated on her now). Once she lit all of them up, shrouding the room in a warm, sensual glow, she looked back to the gang leader over her shoulder, slowly standing to her full height and turning to face him. And it took everything in her to keep playing coy when she got to see the figurative fire flickering in his eyes already when he saw the short red satin dress she was wearing. The one she got specifically for tonight. Poppy tilted her head and batted her eyes up at him, knowing well enough by now what it did to him, "I just want my king to be taken care of when he gets home after a long day~"

'God damn. She trynna get me on my knees already?' Kingston just continued to smirk, already having made peace with that fact that if Poppy was trying to get something, he'd say yes no matter what. A helicopter, a trip around the world, whatever. His sweetheart could have it. A chuckle left his lips before he pushed off of the door he was leaning on, and started shrugging his jacket off for his doll, "Hehe, well the king ain't complainin', babe~ What's the occasion?"

She admittedly hadn't been prepared for him to already step closer to her, and felt ready to melt and let him take the wheel already with the look in his eyes. But that wasn't what she wanted. She wasn't gonna back down now (not yet, at least. She still wanted Kingston to be the one taking this dress off), "Does there have to be~?" She returned his question, choosing to meet him halfway in the middle of the room. Her big brown eyes were playful with a hint of her own need, but nonetheless were filled with desire only for the man in front of her (which only made Kingston want to scoop her up and kiss her even more). She stood up on her tip toes before reaching up to graze her fingers across his jawline. She couldn't help her grin when his eye focused right on her painted lips, and hoped that the dim lightening would hide her blush, "Why don't you take a seat? I'll go grab us some drinks to unwind~"

Poppy had to cover her mouth to contain her excited and amused giggling when Kingston seemingly just materialized on the couch in an instant. He looked so excited and eager already (it always was so moving to her how he never hid happy he was to be with her), "What're we having?"

"I got some wine! I figured it's fitting for this evening." The young woman had started towards the kitchen... But just before she disappeared behind the doorway, she turned back towards King on the couch to blow him a kiss. She had to. Her will wasn't that strong. She was quick to slip away, but she caught a glimpse of his own sharp toothed smirk and knew that her giving in to him was just a matter of time.

She came back within seconds with two wine glasses and the alcohol. She couldn't see Kingston's face now (she was just keeping up her act! Not at all because she knew if she met his eye again she would lose feeling in her knees), and instead of sitting down next to the mob boss, she chose to place the glasses on the table and pour their drinks while standing; it allowed her to bend down just enough to let King see she left her bra in the bedroom tonight.

'Holy shit, I'm gettin' her a closet full of red dresses.' It was obvious that Kingston wasn't going to last much longer. He was so focused on his girl that he didn't even take a sip of the wine when Poppy gave him his glass, and expertly slid his arm around her waist when she sat down next to him with her own drink, "Y'know, sweetheart? If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trynna seduce me~"

"Oh? What makes you think that~?" She was already so close, but she pressed even more into his side. She blinked cutely up at him again while swirling her glass of wine, really playing it up (this was so exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time! God, she needed him now), "You don't think a sweet girl like me would do all this just for carnal pleasure, do you~?"

"Ohhh, you're such a wicked girl~~" Kingston growled low- and quickly glanced to her lap when he saw her thighs press together. With her distracted, he could slide his hand slowly down to her hips and falter her. They both knew what was coming, it was just a matter of who was going to give in first, "You really missed me, didn't 'ya, babygirl~?"

Poppy glanced to his wandering limb, and for a moment, it looked like she was going to hop onto his lap herself. But she had one more trick up her sleeve she wanted to try. Setting her glass down first, she leaned in even closer, so her lips were just hovering over his cheek. Using her now free hand to play with the knot in his tie, Poppy whispered against his skin something that usually she only said in bed, "Well, I have been feeling really lonely without you, daddy~~"

When he finally kissed her, all of her efforts to hold herself back were tossed out the window.

I feel so embarrassed, but I also had fun writing this! XD Poppy needs to a moment to shine like this. I'm sorry with how bad this is, but I hope you like it! ^^

Viktor x Reader Headcanons

Pronouns for reader: Gender neutral, AFAB undertones if you squint

Relationship type: Platonic to Romantic

General Idea: Some silly little headcanons I have for Viktor because he's still my silly little princess. Even after the whole glorious evolution thing.

Content Warnings: S1 Viktor, no S2 spoilers, But there as little bit of s2 viktor's mindset, I'm projecting a little bit (a lot) but it's fine.

I honestly see Viktor as asexual with light aromantic undertones (kinda like demiromantic, I guess??). He rarely ever developes romantic feelings. Like its a once in a blue moon thing.

Like... he has to know you for YEARS before something in his head is like "Oh... hey they kinda cute?"

However, when he DOES develop feelings that go beyond friendship, Viktor HEAVILY struggles with coming to terms with them. Not in like a "I don't DO feelings" type way, but more in a "Well... no... it could be this" type of way.

Oh, his heart rate speeds up a little bit when you two accidently brush hands? It must just be his nerves.

When he does realize that he has feelings for someone, it's kind of like that scene in Gravity Falls where Dipper is like "It's not like I stay awake at night thinking about Wendy" and it cuts to him laying awake thinking about Wendy XD

If he likes someone romantically, he talks about them a lot. Like as if trying to bring them up as much as he can. Like "Oh (Y/N) mentioned something about that book, said they really liked it" Or "(Y/N) actually said something similar about that topic" If he could yap about you for hours, he probably would.

Even if you're being PAINFULLY obvious about your romantic feelings towards Viktor, he will firmly believe you're just being friendly.

Why he does it is a mix between two things: one is that he's just not awesome with people. And second is that he firmly believes someone like you could never love someone like him back.

One night, Viktor had been constantly working without break, so you practically dragged him to his room by his ear and forced him to get some rest.

Viktor has a strong habit of having his workspace FILLED with old mugs, sometimes days old. He doesn't really mean to, just too wrapped up in Hextech to really notice.

He also struggles with meals too. Just like above, because he literally just gets too wrapped up in his work.

If Viktor actually confesses feelings, it's such an interesting experience. Because he doesn't just flat out say "Hey I have feelings for you". He stumbles over his words and rambles about something random in the middle of it. So you gotta help him out a little bit.

Viktor's love language is quality time. He'll make sure his seat is next to you when it can, he always yaps about what he's uncovered about Hextech.

Speaking of Hextech, if you just sit there and watch him work? He'd about die of happiness on the spot. If you, someone he really loved, took an interest to something he truly loved DOING? Perfect.

He used to get really flustered about physical affection. Like you held his hand one time and he about combusted. He was red in the face for hours. He got better with it overtime, of course. But for the first few months, he was pretty much bright red the whole time.

Dates are rare, neither of you have the time for it. But when you two do have dates of some kind, they're mostly stay at home type things.

You know that thing kids do? Like playing their own separate things together? Parallel play, I think it's called? Yeah you two do that a lot.

Viktor will be reading some papers and you'll be reading a book, your feet in his lap.

Speaking of, Viktor is such a reader omg He doesn't read a lot anymore due to his constant workload, but when he does, he reads a lot of like... old books. The ones with yellowing pages and smell nice? Yeah... those ones!

If you two slept in the same bed, he'd be all like... giggly and nervous the first few times. Just like affection, he'd get used to it. But it's still cute.

When you two are cuddling, run your fingers in his hair. He'll melt right into you regardless of the situation. It's like an instant relax button for him.

Him laying his head on your chest, and you running your fingers through his hair? Something about it just... works. It calms him down a lot and makes him feel at peace.

His favorite place to kiss is the crook of your neck. Especially if you're around his height (he's like... between 5'7 and 5'10. I don't remember exactly).

Or your temples. It's simple, it doesn't attract a lot of attention. And let's be real, it's underrated as hell.

He's not big on PDA, but he'll hold your hand in public. He likes holding onto just one of your fingers, like your pinkie or something like that. It, just like temple kisses, is simple and discreet.

He doesn't often say "I love you". He feels bad about it, but you don't mind. He often says I love you without saying it. Things like holding you while you sleep, kissing your forehead as you two read in each other's arms, weaving your fingers with his while he works.

He gets self-conscious a lot. He thinks you could do a lot better than him and that he's not perfect.

Please kiss this poor boy all over and tell him he's perfect as is 😭😭

When Harumasa first heard about your surgery from Soukaku, he could barely contain his anxiety. Thoughts of all the complications swirled in his brain, prompting him to reach for his phone with a shaky hand. He immediately texted Yanagi that he would not be going in to work for the day. She understood your situation, and though she wanted to respect your wishes, she knew Harumasa wouldn't back down. Not when it came to you.

Harumasa was no stranger to hospital visits; in fact, he was quite friendly with the staff. He knew the ins and outs, the sterile coldness, the checking in, the waiting. He sat for what seemed like hours, his leg bouncing in place and a deep pit in his stomach. Whenever a door opened, he would snap out of his trance, hoping it would be your doctor.

When the time to visit came, he was leading the doctor. The halls were practically mapped in his mind. A few turns down hallways and up an elevator would lead you to the recovery ward.

This ward in particular always left him with a bitter taste in his mouth. The walls seemed to be painted with such a vibrant hope: to heal and never return. His eyes had grown used to the colors; they'd grown dull and hope seemed like a foolish notion. Could it really be classified as recovery if coming back was the only outcome?

"We already administered them pain medication so they should be resting. Try not to do anything that'll increase their heart rate," the doctor advised. He nodded, not fully listening. It's not that he didn't care about protocol; no, he quite understood the importance of it. He just couldn't bear another moment wondering if you were okay. "They're strong. A full recovery is likely."

It was as if the doctor could sense his worry. Maybe he noticed his shaky palm reaching for the doorknob, or he was just doing his job. Either way, he had to see you.

Upon stepping into the room, a wave of frigid air struck his cheeks. It was dimly lit, the only light coming from the lines on a nearby monitor. You were lying on your side, slowly twisting upon hearing someone enter the room.

"Haru?" Your voice was hoarse.

He cringed at the weakness coming from you. In a way, it was painful to see you like this: frail and sick. "Hey, how you feeling?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.

"Like I just had surgery." He smiled at that, he supposed it was a good enough sign. You weren't the type to hide your struggle behind a cheesy joke like he did. He admired that about you.

A few moments pass before he speaks again. "I didn't know."

"I thought I hid it well enough. You weren't supposed to find out." You look up at him; his brows are furrowed and his eyes hold some sort of pain behind them. Maybe it was just the meds, but he seems more beautiful than ever.

"Soukaku told me," he lets out a sigh, "you can tell me anything, you know that, right?" Pulling a chair from the wall, he sets it next to your bed.

"I know. I just didn't want to worry you." Why at this moment did you decide to be selfless? Though he couldn't fault you. It was as if you had taken a page from his own book.

"I'd be worried either way," he murmured, letting his gaze fall under the weight of something tender. "I care about you."

"I don't get it, why are you so worried? It's just surgery." You laugh, a smile rising to your lips. It was rare that Harumasa was this soft. Usually, his tenderness would be waved off by an onslaught of jokes.

"I already said I care about you. You're practically family." His eyes analyze your face. He couldn't quite tell if you were being serious or just fishing for more heartfelt words.

You place a palm to your heart in mock hurt. "Ouch, Harumasa! Did you just family-zone me? That hurt more than the surgery!"

"Oh, c'mon. You know what I mean." His hand wraps around yours, nuzzling it into his cheek. He is warm, or the room is getting hotter. "I care about you. More than just a friend."

Harumasa doesn't miss the way your cheeks flare up or the sudden beeps from the monitor. He retracted his hand in a swift motion and stood up, his expression showing worry. "Are you all right?"

"What's wrong, Harumasa?" you smirk, wiggling your eyebrows at him. "Did you do something bad?"

Running a hand through his hair, he stares at the monitor. Your heartbeats slowed down and no doctors seemed to be rushing in. He was sure he was going to faint, the thought of possibly hurting you fresh in his mind.

"So, was that a confession?" You snap him out of his trance with your teasing voice. His eyes snap to yours, giving you an unimpressed look. You were going to give him a heart attack one of these days if you continued like this. The more he thought about it the more he didn't mind, maybe they'd put him in the room next to yours.

"You," He scoffs, flicking his finger against your forehead lightly, "need to get some rest."

"Aw, running already, Asaba?" As much as you tried to stifle it, a yawn slipped it's way out your throat. His gaze softened when he realized he was making the correct choice. You needed rest.

"Nah, just leaving before you make me do something that'll get me into trouble with your doctor." You didn't catch it from your angle, but his cheeks blushed with a quiet warmth of his own.
