Oh nooo I hadn’t noticed that my cat’s automatic feeder was getting low on food so as usual she dashed off when she heard the machine start but I couldn’t hear the usual sound of her food falling into the bowl so I went to look and my poor cat was just. Sitting there. Staring at her empty food bowl. Then for a second she glanced up at me then right back to her bowl with the biggest, saddest, most bewildered eyes you could ever imagine on such a small creature. I filled her bowl and the machine right away ofc but I still feel a little guilty 😭

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good#these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the#hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to#comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but#of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

#st#do you ever think about how she decided to vanish herself alongside the demogorgon because it was the right thing to do#mike's idealistic future where el can stay in hawkins and live with the wheelers and go to the snow ball and not be a secret is a nice life#but it's not her life#so she does what she does best and sacrifices herself for them#then she survives and tries to come back but hopper has to keep her a secret too so she leaves#but it doesn't last long before she's pulled back. if she's going to stay in this world she has to be with these people#she has to save them#so she does and then she's largely stuck in the cabin only talking to hopper and mike again and she doesn't even know if she likes it#and then she finds a kindred spirit in max but it comes with all these stupid rules about teenagers and romance and it's not EL#it's just not her. it's not.#and then when el breaks the rules she loses her powers and her dad in one go and then she has to leave hawkins behind again#and maybe she can be a person now. maybe she can try again. maybe joyce is right and the problem is staying in hawkins#but el doesn't fit in there either. she doesn't belong in lenora. she doesn't belong anywhere#and el can't keep one of the reasons she's still in this world (her relationship with mike) so she goes for the other one#her powers. she has to stay in this world. she has to save them#only brenner comes back because doing that isn't free. it hurts el. it hurts#and then she can't even save max#and then the other world starts bleeding into this one#she has her family back but she still has to save everyone and she doesn't know if she can anymore#the two main reasons the narrative gives us for el being here fell apart#the secret third reason was taken away when max died because el JUST. CANNOT. WIN.#and I keep thinking of her initial decision to sacrifice herself and take all the danger away with her and end it#she said goodbye and she said no more and it's probably a product of her guilt for opening the gate and her upbringing as a weapon#but el is smart#her judgements aren't immediately void because she has issues

what people need to understand is that ariana grande is able to pull off every single one of galinda's physical gags because that woman was in the comedy trenches of nickelodeon's victorious and anyone who was forced to show feet in front of dan schneider is walking away with a level of commitment to the bit that human beings were not built to perceive

Last summer I was on a very expedited acid come up at a music festival and my entirely unaware mother thousands of miles away was at costco and texted me incredulous at how they already had halloween stuff out for sale in the summer but all I saw was a message preview of a giant 10 foot tall skeleton with glowing eyes and "can u believe it??"
