They are gentle creatures. And many are very endangered.”#don't get me wrong here; I love this scene a lot. LWJ's string technique is one of my favoyrite things.#We do get a fair amount of LWJ fighting but I always loved how the theme of strings comes into play.#There is actually a lot to unpack with LWJ being associate with 'strings'.#The musicianship: Of dedication and rigor in one's practice.#The tension between following along a path or composing your own way forwards (playing what has been written vs composing)#A string is a tightly coiled/taunt entity; The same tension that makes it sing so beautifully can be it's downfall if pushed too hard.#And as a non-musical string - something that binds. Be it to his sect and family or how he binds his fate to WWX -#LWJ cannot exist without his binds. It is not something which ties him down though. It keeps him together.#And he himself *is* a bind. He 'ties wwx down' in ways that are initially negatively viewed ('come to gusu' - feels like: come be trapped)#But later it is shown how (despite being introduced as a free spirit) WWX truly wants to be bound to something and someone.#Marriage is a bind he wants. He wants to be tied and grounded by LWJ.#It's starting to sound like innuendo. Let's call his fondness for being literally tied up smart thematic writing.#Finally. Sex scenes that are important to the plot and characters

We're leaving the house at ~7:30am to make it to check-in on time, cause it takes an hour to get to the hospital, but the actual c-section isn't scheduled until 11:30 and Twin is only allowed one person to be with her in the operating theater and during the initial recovery period, which is about 2 hours after, before she gets moved to a proper room. You know what that means?
That's right, I'm going to get so much knitting done while in the waiting room

#going a bit insane over micah nemerevers these violent delights#no i'm not becoming a book blog but I'm rediscovering an old passion#books feel like my first language of fiction and they are#and this one is so beautifully insane and intricate and the characters are so fantastic and their relationship so natural yet wild af#it's like watching two buildings slowly collapse into each other and in the end you can't find which pieces belong where anymore#but they're definitely both shattered and they would probably still be standing if they hadn't been so close to each other#both of them started out with such potential for so many things but brought out the worst versions of themselves in each other I LOVE IT#[their names are paul and julian btw. yes they're gay]#it's like they were waiting for someone to come along and utterly wreck them and they probably were#and if this sounds like they were violent with each other they weren't really at least that wasn't the point most of the time#they loved each other so completely but also so brutally that they fed each others fears and insecurities more than anything else#they'd have done anything for each other AND THEY DID and that was the catastrophe#it is such a fantastic book#obsesses with the way julian clearly only starts smoking when he meets paul fully aware that he is already missing half a lung

The three avians plus progress on Jazz(whose design I very much took from how he's described in this fic 'cause he's pretty)
I wanna work on Crystal next but I also gotta figure out if they're gonna be kinda platinum, pearl, or silver lol. Debated making Freya's feather a cream colour, then debated making it black, then decided fuck it, she's gonna be more dark chestnut-y with a light glow around the edges 'cause yes. Percy's feather is technically inaccurate for how his wings look but for the sake of representation, it's got both the red and blue instead of being one of either lol

#so i finished fallout new vegas and it’s a great introduction to this type of gaming#i’m a wimp when it comes to fighting but the VATS allowed things to slow down significantly#and when the pip boy’s raised the fight doesn’t progress so those things kept the combat aspect less intimidating#i rmb being such a noob at the start and i ended up ultimately getting bored bc i got to OP for the main plot#i was just dragging out everything at this point#i maxxed out to lvl 30 and got the best guns#everything down to the deathclaws and the fight with the legion was so…easy so i just finished the game#my reflection on it is that no matter how good your intentions were (since most of the good karma options are for the ncr)#the government figure in the game still doesn’t push thru#*pull through with their promises of fairness#they’re oppressive and their expansion throughout the mojave displaced a lot of ppl throughout#most of which i’ve met along the way#it concluded beautifully#this just significantly increased my interest on the fallout universr#i cant wait to replay this but also i want to see what the other games have to offer#i loved it#played roughly 80hrs tho i know i could’ve finished it earlier#oh and i crossed off all locations on the map so that was smth else#ever since marked everything i just wanted to fuck it i’ll finish it noe#*now#toff.txt
