#but it's balancing several aspects

I apologise in advance since this is going to be ramble-y but it's past my bedtime and I have to be quick...
I'm hoping you can throw some insight on something which I feel like I'm seeing but not really getting.
So, I was first intrigued by Sei's phone case - it's a version of Van Gogh's Starry Night, right? - and the light/yellow and dark/blue it contains. And then I was noticing a lot of scenes in which Hagiwara is in a light/warm colouring/filter and Sei is in a cooler/bluer colour/filter. Many of your screenshots in this post of yours show this (notably pics 5, 8, 9, and 11 counting from the top).
I also noticed the yellow and blue posters behind Hagiwara and Sei in the second photo of that post.
And then I was intrigued by light and shadow...because in ep 1 (I think), in bed Hagiwara is lying in the shadow cast by the lamp that is between his and Kaori's beds. And that contrasts to Sei lying in the glow of the lamp that's between his and Fujisawa. But this confuses me because sometimes Hagiwara is in the shadows and Sei is in the light (as in pics 10 and 20 in that post) and there are other times when Hagiwara is illuminated and Sei is in the shadows (like in pic 11).
Does this all just come down to what you were saying in that post - that they balance each other out? Because sometimes they're both in cool/shadowed light together (pic 4) and sometimes they're both in warm/light colouring together (pics 7 & 15) - and not to mention the two bedside lamps being on in pic 22... Or is there another reading into this? Maybe that they're depicted light/warm or cool/dark at different times depending on what's happening in or the mood of the scenes?
It feels a bit like maybe the message is that they're both stuck, trapped in the dark but also that they're each the light and happiness for each other...but that feels too simplistic for this complex show.
Anyway, sorry to pose what feels like a difficult question but I'm looking forward to a possible 30 pic explanation post from you if you have it in you!
I think the show is telling us nobody is just one thing.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a6188687674a380b3ed406c8e142f4d8/2c7bcbb250132193-54/s540x810/8b88c0ae0d9917b7e92c3ebb7e4c53da87caebaa.jpg)
I thought this back in the third episode, but after seeing the discourse on the sixth episode, I feel confident this is part of what the shows wants to say. For example, a point of contention in most posts after the breakup scene in episode six focused on if Kairo is avoidant and homophobic or if Kairo is ace and hasn't realized it. But why can't Kairo be both?
This thought stems from the statue since Sei and Hagiwara couldn't agree if she was sexual or sad.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b8107b08a9a91fe5e839771a0d35d21d/2c7bcbb250132193-6f/s540x810/fc4fead91ee38965bd09b9aaeb0d1746053fb49e.jpg)
But why couldn't she be both?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2f260002d1484d704895114c699f29f7/2c7bcbb250132193-b6/s540x810/18917fa3d43804619df932c6c4b8eba5a814568b.jpg)
I made this point with the other pieces of art as well since all of them played into this evil/good, angel/devil theme.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d2dad83e4b7e73f655b5ea5517e94baf/2c7bcbb250132193-22/s540x810/981bc04ca3600f0c2bc39e83852f87b7772c46ba.jpg)
Because none of them were just one of those things. The devil flowers had wings, and the devil figure had a halo, while the angel flowers still had thorns, and the angel figure had a horned tail.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/75131129b3380ee62a208c17f441730d/2c7bcbb250132193-63/s540x810/e9c19515d5192d67a40b5ba6b6c0d53aea8bde5e.jpg)
So Hagiwara, the darker-coded character, is the warmer one with his trees and greenery, while Sei, the lighter-coded character, is the colder character with his metal and rock.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/fd94ff2b2933bc8548e720551928be6b/2c7bcbb250132193-f1/s540x810/238d5e35e4f6face8bfe37237aa44b69260486f0.jpg)
And they are also cheaters.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f174992674ae3bbd9bece468da73897b/2c7bcbb250132193-ed/s540x810/3fd4ab8a03c932a62e77985297085b71adadfea0.jpg)
Which, once again, is why I believe the story is telling us that nobody is one thing. Because cheating is bad. But these men?
They aren't bad.
Just like Fujisawa isn't all good.
Sei and Hagiwara did something bad but they aren't bad because they cheated since people are neither completely one thing or another.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8f92df5d9decc98fb3bf9df95e59f933/2c7bcbb250132193-bc/s540x810/9968f051a5f9342c5f367f0a15fc41d29782ce14.jpg)
That is a false dichotomy.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/485949ed13faf295f6c2952a6136528e/2c7bcbb250132193-6b/s540x810/262728afa7e839a2b417f81e72656714b64017ab.jpg)
So just like the toe was not about the toe, and the TV was not about the TV, and the coffee is not about the coffee, and the rain is not about the rain, and the sex is not about the sex, nothing is just one thing, so the series continues to reinforce that.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bb78bb090604fef0344a6ddb6587402b/2c7bcbb250132193-5f/s540x810/7814dfbc865d0888682b45dfd13948929b71f581.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/29c8f2b731c6a9d285788c8055542b4f/2c7bcbb250132193-3b/s540x810/7a53f0126c8bb5a63a71b2e7e44c6924f0e406de.jpg)
Sei is light and should be warm, but he is cold, and by his own admission, rough. But Hagiwara, who should be the dark and emotionally-guarded brooder, is the more open and happy one of the pair.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7d3183fe2d8f5ecd3c6044569b78a2db/2c7bcbb250132193-e4/s540x810/9e5a347e0ec649a404d70344236ce6c72e81c92c.jpg)
The colors and settings emphasize this. Hagiwara's apartment is colorful. Sei's is dark.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4ac90ce12bf3ffeea0794fab433e51fa/2c7bcbb250132193-9f/s540x810/e3ae2ea8b1230efb9ad89d1b9d3c49c5a808d977.jpg)
But those apartments don't really represent the men either.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/fc99b310ca8d0483c06603e6f10f13f0/2c7bcbb250132193-64/s540x810/f3204617eda54e6d47b7d2dc212e262c61613de0.jpg)
Fujisawa and Kairo both commented that they like Sei and Hagiwara, but they only like a single aspect of them. They reduced them to one characteristic, and never wanted to deal with the complexities of their partners.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/fe815d18950918aa7351c1e947648fbd/2c7bcbb250132193-d5/s540x810/f3cfc0e954975224c9e37adebe4fc3310f62616c.jpg)
And that's what happens when we focus on one single thing.
We lose sight of the bigger picture.
The questions Fujisawa and Kairo ask aren't "Why did you cheat?' but "Why a man?" because they are reductive. To Fujisawa and Kairo, the problem wasn't a lack of communication, lack of intimacy, or lack of a partnership in their relationships; it was sex. So why sex with a man?! Why not a woman to fulfill the sexual urge?
During their email exchange in episode two, the men chat about the purpose of sex since for animals, it's to mate and reproduce, which comes up later when Hagiwara's friends ask if he'll marry Kairo when she is pregnant, and again in episode four when Ayako says that Hagiwara is lucky that Kairo will have sex with him for the sake of kids. Fujisawa and Sei can't have kids, so then there is no need for sex. Yet in that initial conversation in episode two, Hagiwara and Sei end the conversation with saying the purpose of sex is complicated.
Everything is complicated. Everything is layered. Everything is multifaceted.
Van Gogh painted The Starry Night when he was an a psychiatric hospital in 1889 after he cut off his ear during a maniac episode, so due to the time period and the timing, it was probably a horrible experience. The scene is based on his view he could see outside of his barred window. And yet, despite all the dark reasons he was there and the night setting, the painting is bright. It blends the darkness with the light to bring hope.
So despite the darkness of his cage, there is light. And it comes in the shape of a phone that allows communication between two lost souls going through a horrible experience.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b0c3cf5baa7dde40a5a4dfbd57d73c39/2c7bcbb250132193-14/s540x810/888ea60eb09182d7e75612ea487d1df584cfcad8.jpg)
And Fujisawa destroyed it.
Nothing is one thing.
Yin and yang are meant to reside in everyone because good and bad are part of everyone. Therefore, nothing is simply black and white.
Hagiwara is rejected yet full of warmth. Sei wants affection but is cold toward others. One is dark coded and the other is light coded. One is warm colors and the other is cool colors. Sei comes off as polished, but he is rough. Hagiwara comes across as fun, but he is serious. They are layered, which is the key to balance because balance could never be about just one thing; balance is about bringing several elements into harmony.
But first, we must acknowledge that different aspects exists.
Because nothing is one thing.
#when it rains it pours#futtara doshaburi#nothing is one thing#the black and white are about balance#but it's balancing several aspects#not just one single element#their partners never acknowledged the layers#their partners avoided the complexities#which is why they reduced them to a single element#this show was never just about sex#it was about so much more#and that's why the colors mean things#long post

I agree that the meaning behind "you don't need to medically transition" has warped too far from its original intent of "you're still valid in your gender even if you're unable to access these things & are still trans" into just "don't transition at all" said faux progressively but I feel like the response to this is going too far in the reverse direction why am I constantly seeing so many posts that are like "if you've ever even slightly considered going on hormones just do it right now immediately it will cure your dysphoria and your depression and fix your life 100% guaranteed" like hey maybe let's meet in the middle here
#like why are people acting like 'some aspects of medical transition are permanent so its something you should consider carefully' is i#inherently some right wing anti trans statement. like obviously that should be balances out with 'if youve been carefully considering it fo#several years atp then yeah you probably should take the plunge' there NEEDS to be some middle ground between this#just do it its the best thing ever dont even think about it & noo dont do it lines of thinking#texticles

arthurian adaptations fail the orkney brothers time and again. gawain is either virtuous or irredeemably sinful thereâs never an in between which is where he belongs. he and agravaine are never the foils they should be and neither are nuanced characters at the same time. agravaine is given the murder of morgause which is missing the whole point of his character and that of gaheris. meanwhileâŚgaherisâŚexists. he should be gawainâs shadow and the most irritating person to agravaine in the universe. gareth is usually okay but his relationship with his brothers and lancelot needs to be strained to the breaking point, and I also think he should be on good terms with kay instead of framing him entirely antagonistic. mordred needs to be agravaineâs little buddy. itâs one of the best parts of the vulgate and some stories include it but they manipulate each other and thatâs the wrong approach. they canât know what they have is messed up, they donât see it, theyâre just hanging out and people die around them. none of the bros abuse their wives. i cannot stress this enough. non-negotiable. in fact their wives love them all dearly. an acquired taste. if you know you know. thank you.
#not accepting criticism#iâve read many many adaptations#someday i will write out which books had the best of them#i liked Persia Woolleyâs gawain he was balanced#lavinia collins has the best agravaine hands down no contest heâs perfect#i like gerald morrisâs gaheris bc he pairs well with lynette which is hard to pull off#I liked cherith baldryâs gareth the best bc his relationship with lynors kay lancelot gawain all very deep#mordredâŚ..havenât found a mordred i super like tbh#he is okay in several things but none of them were great#aspects are good then heâll do something i really hate & ruin it a little#some day iâll find himâŚâŚ.#my post

going back and watching the chunk of 4sd i missed and yeah, brennan's approach to forcing the players into the prime role makes sense! i was really gunning for a betrayer god player and i think specifically something fun could have been done with "betrayer god who doesn't want to destroy aeor wholesale because it's actually their unethical experimentation vibe" (or, alternately, when i first thought taliesin might be playing the chained oblivion as a weird messedup sort-of god, already half cannibalized, a maximum nihilism approach where one member of the party is actually trying to sabotage their efforts so they all die). but his reasoning is very sturdy. and with only three episodes, letting the relationship between the prime deities shine was completely the correct choice. even though i think they could have designed a malicious pc to meet it, his standard of You Can Play A Betrayer God If You Can Make Them Interesting worked out, great management.
#critical role spoilers#4sd#exu downfall#ultimately any sufficiently complex portrayal of the betrayers in this context would require them seeing themselves#the most wretched aspects of the world personified#a ârevelation about a truth of the worldâ as brennan said#IN aeor. and that could have been good roleplaying#it could have even been a fascinating reflection on the mortal capacity for cruelty equal to very personification of transgression#there's a fun horror to be found in the monster you're desperately trying to kill coming into your house and giving it a thumbs up#but from an audience perspective we already know aeor sucked#âwas aeor awfulâ is not the question here the question is about the nature of the gods#and specifically if their capacity for helping the world outweighs their capacity for harming it#i think anything more than two betrayer gods would have made the balance feel off#and severely constrained the amount of Awful the others were allowed to do

only mystra would go "yes i am the source of all of your problems and am the reason you couldn't reach your full potential <3 but now you're free of me so you can do that now <3 i'm so smart and nice and am definitely a good-aligned goddess!!"
#she's not good aligned i'm arguing. she's self-aligned and the weave is.#well it's debatable whether she is the weave or whatever but it's a moot point. she and the weave are inextricable#she's self-aligned and the weave IS her so protecting the weave is obviously self-interest#at best she's lawful neutral#i lean towards lawful evil. and i think it's simply the fact that ao's commandments severely limit the gods' contact with mortals#that stops mystra from wreaking more havoc and being recognized as a deity that's more evil-aligned#similar to how god!gale thinks he's doing good but really he's doing bad#mystra thinks her self-preservation of the weave is the same as balancing good and bad uses of it but that's not true#i mean who is she to decide? clearly her decision-making skills are dubious if she cyclically grooms little boys despite dying and being#reincarnated as a different version of herself or having someone else entirely take up the mantle of mother of all magic. like!!!!#idk if i'm making sense but like. i'm having thoughts#baldur's gate 3#also that's not mystra that's melissa. basic white girl aspect LMAO

I'm kind of going to go the opposite route to swordfright and say I'm not a fan of when c!Quackity is written as Pure Unfiltered Evil. Like, obviously he's not the nicest guy out there, he's doneâlet me check⌠*a lot of shit*. But it can sometimes feel similar to the treatment c!Dream gets from the fandom.
But then again, totally okay if that's the story you want to tell! The only problem is when people bring that stuff from fics to analysis; that goes for any character.
the ask from swordfright kinda compliments yours, really, and at the end of it all we get a complete statement that I think applies to all characters in the story
all characters are heroes of certain stories and victims of others, and they are definitely villains in many others. and all of that needs to be acknowledged, especially if we are to Discuss canon. it's valid to ignore parts of the character especially when we write from the perspective of someone they have a particular relationship with, but these fandom views don't have place in the actual story analysis
there is a lot of nuance to all characters on the SMP so to only choose one feels like taking two barbie dolls and waving them around
as one anon said, there is a line. and that applies to all of these
yes, c!Wilbur can be depicted as a hero in c!Tommy's eyes, but it would be stupid to ignore the emotional abuse that was inflicted in the process
yes, c!Quackity is a fucked up individual that tortured someone for fun. but he also underwent a lot of trauma at the hands of his fiancĂŠ and then when he got engaged later to someone else, they neglected him
yes, c!Dream was hurt in prison and reduced into a whimpering begging mess. but he also murdered one of the people responsible for the torture when he had the opportunity
it's cool to see people lean more into one or the other with the good/evil hero/victim/villain thing, but the main thing people seem to mind is when it's Just One and all the rest of the character is erased
does this make sense?
#asks#elmhat#theres a balance to keep and when someone ignores the other aspects it just kinda sucks#especially if its a long fic with several chapters like ://#tropes discourse tag

There is certainly a place for games where every love interest is bisexual and there's no homophobia or transphobia, it's important escapism for many but for me personally it doesn't have much appeal? Like in BG3 I can be gay (I can romance and have sex with people of the same gender) but I can't be gay (find queer community, take part in gay culture, talk with fellow queer people who understand me), and I think it's a shame. My vision of escapist queer media isn't a world where homophobia and transphobia don't exist and never have, it's one where through solidarity and community queer people are able to thrive and find joy. I don't have any interest in a world where gay people and straight people are the exact same in every way but for the gender of their sexual partners, this doesn't reflect my lived experience of queerness and I can't see myself in this world
#i don't mean to single out bg3 here it's just the one that's been on my mind recently#and i don't have anything against the game and I'm so glad people are enjoying it!! there's just aspects of it which i don't love#also before anyone starts talking about this not being possible in realistic game development:#i am a game dev who's worked on several explicitly queer games and i understand the limitations#i just can't help but still wish for better!#also to reiterate if you like this style of escapism then I'm very glad and i do not judge at all!#there should be a balance of different types of queer representation!#enjoy your vampire twinks i love you#personal post

I just remembered my Seresta/Oxazepam had sky aspect.
I've been way too autistic about this game, I'm starting to dream about it. For some reason I could see the aspects of anything I was holding and I saw the Thunderskin. Next thing I know I'll be crawling around the Woods, trying to look for a secret scratched in the stones...
#I guess it makes sense??#It does bring harmony and balance to my severe anxiety disorder#My Effexor had forge aspect though which. Definitely doesn't feel right.#book of hours#book of hours game#weather factory

Sylvia Feketekuty: "To celebrate DA day, I've made a bluesky account that I'll keep active for a few days to talk about my work on Inqusition or Veilguard! After a few days I'll lock the account, because I'm not a social media person. Happy to talk until then though. I want to say straight off: the reception to Emmrich, Manfred, the Mourn Watch, and the Grand Necropolis has been heartwarming for all of us who worked on those people and places. Thank you all very much!" [source, two]
Rest of post under cut due to length and spoilers. [Post Two, Post Three]
Sylvia Feketekuty: "In the meantime, I do want to talk about a couple of things I saw floating around regarding Emmrich: 1. Emmrich being 52 or 50. I think people got 50 from data mining a character file, but we can't do a ranges in those files. As in, I couldn't input 50-60, it had to be a whole number. I put down 50 as an early ballpark, then went more accurate in later audition scripts. 2. Fifty-two is a old number I threw into an early document before his art or character was totally final. (And which caused another developer a headache because they thought it was accurate, I never updated it. Sorry about that.) 3. "Wait, how old is Emmrich then?" Once I saw his final character art, I felt more mid to late 50s. MAYBE early 60s. But unless we specifically state a character's age in the game, it's all malleable. I honestly would just adjust it to your impressions unless stated otherwise. 4. I've also seen comments on how weird it is for Emmrich to act like there's an age-gap in the romance if your Rook is around his age. And you're right. 5. The reason is because Rook WAS younger when those scenes were written and worked on. I felt it'd be odd if I never addressed the May-December aspect, especially as it hooks into some of Emmrich's worries. 6. By the time that shifted, it was really too late to change without catastrophic repercussions to the excellent cinematics and music and other things that depend on line delivery and timing. 7. To be clear: you can feel how you want about the age gap coming up at all! But that's how the discrepancy came about. 8. "Is there a way to reconcile Emmrich acting like my Rook is way younger than him if they're not?" Great question! I have several suggestions: -Accept it's an error. (True, but unexciting) -Emmrich considers a gap of 3-5 years scandalous. (Funny, albeit a bit cartoonish.) -The Mourn Watch has perfected swapping out organs, and Emmrich is nervously hiding that he's way older than he looks out of vanity. (Untrue, but funny.)" [source thread]
User in reply to point 6. above: "I'm personally glad it was too late to change because their argument about it is genuinely my favorite scene in the entire game! đđ It's such an important moment to me" / Sylvia: "Thanks! That one was one where I was all sweatily trying to balance things out, with tone, with pacing, etc. Really glad it came together for you. (Cine and the actors did heroic things there to get it feeling just so!)" [source]
More snippets:
Emmrich's favorite ice cream flavor? Rum raisin [source]
Lots of people on the dev team shared the vision of having a bunch of gothic weirdness in that pocket of Thedas [source] (Necropolis/Nevarra)
Sylvia "especially liked writing the Mourn Watch origin, it was fun to write a fellow nerd for Emmrich to chat with" [source]
Sylvia poured some personal worries and fears into writing Emmrich [source]
On Vorgoth and their nature: "I'm a little leery of saying anything, partly because I'm cowardly avoiding publicly defining anything more until/if I ever need to. And partly because I did want them to be a fresh unknown. Sorry!" [source] "I'm glad you like Vorgoth, but I'm afraid I don't have much for you that isn't in the game. I deliberately wrote them so as to leave room, if we ever revisited them, or for Vorgoth to remain mysterious, if we did not. I'm sorry if that's not a very satisfying answer!" [source] "I will say, it was fun to throw in a few lines about Vorgoth's art collection. Their passion for it is sincere and deep. (I wanted all the Watchers to have a little non-death related hobby or interest, because they can be so singularly focused.)" [source]
Dwarven Mourn Watcher is a rare origin combo for Rook so Sylvia wanted to call it out [source]
On the outcomes of Emmrich's quest: "I tried really hard to make the options equally viable, and more up to the player's interpretation or preferences of what it would mean for Emmrich in their view. It's been interesting seeing reactions to it, which hinge sometimes on various single lines pushing people one way or another!" [source]
"The Grand Necropolis is always eager and ready for a new member of the Mourn Watch to grace its ranks." [source]
User: "I loved Emmrich's view on death and what his personal quest ultimately went on to say about the nature of death itself, and how the beauty of mortality lies in its impermanence and unpredictability." / Sylvia: "I really wanted to dig into those themes, and everyone in cine and art and level design and editing and the whole team honed in exactly on the vibe. The floral stuff especially, I was so thrilled when I played through the Memorial Gardens' with the art and lighting in." [source]
User: "I experience thanatophobia and that first conversation w/ Emmrich was so affirming and helped me describe my own anxiety to others" / Sylvia: "Thanks, the thanatophobia was, as you may've guessed, a personal experience for me too. I'm glad it was something that helped a little." [source] "I suspect that phobia is way more common than people think, and part of the reason Emmrich talks about it was to express that sentiment out loud. I find it helps sometimes just to acknowledge it." [source]
What languages does Emmrich speak other than Trade? "I think he'd be familiar with Tevene, since there's surely many, many old texts about magic written in that language. Kind of like a doctor that knows latin through their work. I also named that MW alphabet "tomb-script", though I'm not sure if it has a spoken component or not since it never came up in-game. If it does, he'd be able to speak that for sure." [source, two]
User: "Playing as a Mourn Watch Rook has been an absolute delight!!!" / Sylvia: "Thank you so much, I really liked writing those branches of the dialogue. Since Emmrich's so focused on necromancy, it was fun having a Rook who could be both casual and knowledgeable about it." [source]
User: "In your opinion, what outcome do you prefer for a romanced Emmrich (lich/non lich)?" / Sylvia: "Interesting question! To be honest, I'm afraid to answer it properly in case anyone takes my answer to be a canonical one. I really wanted either path to feel equally interesting/correct for whatever you decide fits your Rook's relationship with Emmrich. (We're also in the strange waters of meta-reasoning. I GAVE Emmrich his fear of death-Sorry Emmrich!-which makes me feel a little culpable for that, even though he's entirely fictional. And that might prey on my mind when trying to decide. A very odd experience!)" [source, two]
What music genres would Emmrich be into? "Classical music is very much playing to type for Emmrich, but I feel it's also correct. He'd enjoy a nice concerto or an organ recital. Or, if he's feeling daring, a bold new Orlesian opera! But I don't think his tastes are too outrĂŠ in that area. That said, I saw someone post something like "Leave Emmrich alone, let him attend the Depeche Mode concert" while listening to Depeche Mode's "Violator", for the first time, which made me laugh. (Great album. If he could get over the shock of synths, Emmrich might enjoy "Waiting for the Night".)" [source, two]
When writing Emmrich the devs wanted to try and hit the gothic romance vibe [source]
Does Emmrich mix his own fragrance/cologne? Does he ever vary it by the season? "I think Emmrich goes to some of the many perfumers that have set up shop in Nevarra City around the Necropolis, just because he trusts their judgement and expertise. I hadn't considered him varying it by season, but that's very fun! I certainly think he has more than one bottle of scent." [source]
User: "How does Lich Emmrich have sex?" / Sylvia: "I don't mind the question! But my answer's a bit boring: I generally stay at arm's length on the more explicit romance stuff, just because if it's not stated or shown in-game, I don't want to bring in a canonical answer that might affect what people imagined. My general preference for romantic scenes that get physical is to leave blank space somewhere, so players can imagine what happens next. It's not the ONLY way to do it, I think there's legitimate artistic reasons to go more explicit. But that's how I approached Emmrich (and before him Josephine.)" [source, two]
User: "The scene with the fade glow where he touches your hand haunts me in the best way" / Sylvia: "Aw thank you. Our animators and audio people made that scene way better than I could've hoped! They took such care with everything there. I want to say that little eye-peep from Rook was added in by one of them, which was the perfect touch." [source]
User on Emmrich: "iâm curious whether you think heâd prefer dogs or cats (or both, or neither)" / Sylvia: "I think he'd consider cats and dogs a little too noisy and messy for his tastes. Not like a nice, quiet plant or skeleton! (Weirdly, I actually had a scrap of banter going over this exact subject at one point. It got tightened down to the exchange with Harding about the pig he used to hug when he was a kid.)" [source, two]
Sylvia was trying to tease Nevarra with the Tevinter Nights story Down Among the Dead Men [source]. "It was really fun to tease the Necropolis, so to speak, in TN, and I'm grateful we got to actually let players through its gates at last." [source]
User: "if Rook chooses to save Manfred and keep Emmrich mortal, what would Emmrich wish to become of his body once he did pass on?" / Sylvia: "Good question. I think he'd want to remain active and useful in death. A guide for other Mourn Watchers, or posted as a mystic guide somewhere dangerous, or perhaps an oracle in the library." [source]
User: "when and how was it decided that Emmrich would be romanceable? I remember reading that he would not be a romance option." / Sylvia: "I'm not sure where that came from, because I pitched him and then shortly after that we decided the entire cast was romanceable. That was fairly early on in the development of Veilguard, as I recall it. (Could've been a crossed wire?)" [source]
Trick Weekes: "Sylvia wrote the fantastic Emmrich "the Vol-carnage" Volkarin and everything that happens in Nevarra while dealing with a lead writer whose attitudes about corpses and undead are... not dissimilar from Taash's." [source] / Sylvia: "I still remember when you gave the very accurate feedback "I think we need to give players whose Rooks aren't into corpses some roleplaying choices to express this" and I was all "Ohhh yeaaaaaah." (Thank u Trick, you were right)" [source] / Trick: "Specifically, being able to express this without locking themselves out of the content! (For non-Sylvia folks) Given my issues with corpses, Emmrich as a whole was SUPER Not For Me, so I gave one caveat and then said, "For the rest of my critique, I will be impersonating his target audience." [source]
Sylvia on the secret origins of Manfred: "After I pitched Emmrich, I started jotting down notes and thoughts on his plots, his quirks, all that kind of stuff. It was very early on Veilguard, anything was still possible. We were chatting in the writer's room about it one day, and I think we'd just seen some early concept art for Emmrich. And our lead writer Trick Weekes joked that Emmrich looked like a man who'd have a skeleton named Manfred. And I laughed and went "Yeah he does!" And then I thought about it. It's wild in retrospect, but that one comment spurred a train of thought that led to the core of Emmrich's arc. He may've ended up a very different character without it! tl;dr: I stole it from Trick." [source, two, three, four]
"I got to play with a pretty free palette when defining the way Emmrich and the necromancers view death and spirits. But I tried to keep it within the confines of existing lore. That's one reason why that scene where Emmrich talks about Manfred to Harding goes into "the eternal question" of whether a soul actually returns with the dead or not. Nevarra has distinct beliefs, but I thought it'd be interesting if its people argue over their interpretations of those beliefs." [source, two]
"the other writers also suggested a bit later on that the big choice dig more into Emmrich's philosophies. Initially, it was more personally focused on his fears, which made it 'relatable' but pettier. Without that correction, I think it would've been weaker, I totally needed the team push." [source]
"I have a few guides to graveyard symbology, and it's so packed with references and meaning." [source]
User: "Did any of your own fears & experiences, make it into the writing of Emmrich? If yes, is it information youâre comfortable sharing with us? If itâs too personal to give any details, thatâs fine as well. Also, across the other games, who do you think Emmrich will get along with best?" / Sylvia: "some of his fears are absolutely personal. The reflexive-compulsive panic over death is something I'm very familiar with, and I wanted to explore that through him. Because I suspected it was not uncommon, and worth examining. The question of who he'd get along with from the other games is surprisingly tough! Because without asking the other writers about their characters, I wouldn't know for sure. So I can only really speak to Josephine with surety. That said: -I think Josephine would be polite, and grow to like him, but would never entirely be over the ostentatious necromancy. -I think Emmrich meeting Sera would be the funniest match." [source, two, three]
"Peter Cushing was also one of my go-tos as an example of what I wanted Emmrich to be." [source]
"(Huge shout out to all the animators and level designers making Manfred run, quite literally. Like 95% of his personality lives in his movement, I think they nailed it.)" [source]
On Emmrich: "I tried to put a lot of passion and sincerity in his love for the dead, and I admit the Necropolis was THE big place I wanted to see in Thedas myself ever since reading about it in a codex." [source]
User: "Thank you for letting him have that cemetery dream date!" / Sylvia: "Having the date in the cemetery was one of the first things I wanted when thinking about the romance." [source]
"Josephine was the first time I was entrusted with a new character and a new romance at once, and that'll always be special to me." [source]
User: "How much input did you have in Emmrich's appearance in the podcast?" / Sylvia: "In the podcast, none myself. I believe it was handled by a third party but reviewed by a few people at BW, I don't know too much past that. (We did provide a descriptor and character rules. Stuff like "Emmrich never swears" and "always says amongst" and broader, more thematically useful things.)" [source]
User on Emmrich: "Are you planning any other external-media stories for him?" / Sylvia: "Thanks very much, The Flame Eternal has a special place in my heart for being the first time Emmrich got to be center stage in a story. (And very flattering to hear about the cross stitch. That's so cool!) I can't speak to any external-media plans, I'm afraid. That's not an implied hint about anything existing or not, it's just literally outside what I'm allowed to chat about. It'd be fun to do something like that again though!" [source, two]
"I must give full credit to Nick Borraine, Emmrich's voice actor. He got the compassion and tenderness the character needed right away." [source]
"And glad him being closer to your age resonated, I really wanted someone older out on an adventure. No reason that has to stop at any age IMO." [source]
User: "do the mourn watcher/nevarra in general raise their pets after they die to keep them around? like a dog skeleton with a whisp in it?" / Sylvia: "To be honest I hadn't thought out this one, but it's a very good question. I'm not sure how common that would be, or even if it's permitted to have pets running around the family crypt. (I definitely thing people would WANT to do it.) You know, I think I'm going to have to leave this one in the vague quantum foam of the future. I think I'd want to not only double check existing lore, but answer that in-game (or in a book or etc.) if we ever need to. (Hope that's not too much of a cop out. Sometimes I like to leave questions I'm not sure about alone, because until it's in an official game or story, it doesn't quite count.)" [source, two, three]
User: "as someone who shares emmrich's anxiety about mortality, getting to spend time with him, and in the grand necropolis and with the mourn watch, was genuinely soothing" / Sylvia: "Thank you, I'm glad he was a comfort. It's a familiar fear for me too, and I'd hoped he would connect that way with people very much." [source]
On the giant ribcage 'ceiling' in the Necropolis: "sadly, even I don't know all the mysteries of the Necropolis. (Which is to say it's a very cool bit of art but has no stated origin yet. Could be a large dragon, a giant...or something weirder!)" [source]
On TN story Luck in the Gardens: "It was nice change up, writing in first person and with someone so rascally. I've got an enduring affection for the Lords after writing Hollix, the scamp." [source]
User: "I just love his genuine enthusiasm for everything he does. If the other party members had fan clubs Emmrich would be the president of each and I love that for him" / Sylvia: "Thank you! I really wanted him to embody a kind of expansiveness and generosity of spirit, to stand in contrast to the eeriness of his abilities." [source]
User: "What was your inspiration for Josie?" / Sylvia: "My girl! When I came on to Inquisition, there'd already been work done on setting up the spine of the main plot, and figuring out the overall cast. But one of the advisors was a little murkier. It just said "Diplomat" on the white board. We knew we wanted someone in that position, but not who. So in a game where you were out exploring, killing demons, etc., but also had a big organization to run? I immediately wanted to make a Diplomat firmly there for you. Somebody you could hand the keys to the entire Inquisition to while you were out, and know it'd be in good hands. I also thought it'd be fun to have someone from Antiva, since that area wasn't covered yet by anyone in the cast. And I needed her to be polished, smooth, but heartfelt, because of that aforementioned trust. And that was the core of Josephine! Her voice actor, Allegra, brought her to life with such lovely charm, and hearing those early sessions also helped me further hone her tone." [source, two, three, four]
"Our music supervisor Ron Dazo hit it out of the park with Emmrich's music IMO. And so glad you liked Hezenkoss! Just very fun to write as a character." [source]
User: "Did any specific watcher raise MW Rook?" / Sylvia: "Good question! I kind of left that one alone because I wasn't sure if I wanted to let Rook define that themselves, or leave it open, and also I'd have wanted a full conversation on it. In the end that was a little out of scope so I left it unsaid. Which is to say that it COULD be Vorgoth who helped raise your Rook. And that stands until/unless we give a definitive answer (or let you choose from a range of answers) one day." [source, two]
"It was such a pleasure for all of us to finally get to explore the Necropolis, I am very glad we got to throw open the gates." [source]
User: "I was wondering if there were any Mourn Watch details you wished you had more time to explore? I was so struck by some of the ethical implications in your stories" / Sylvia: "Geeze, now that's a question. I mention it with Emmrich, but there's some resentment over the power the Watchers hold as THE mortalitasi of the Grand Necropolis, between them and the other orders. There's something to that situation I liked. There's also questions of how they select people for the order. What their standards are, how closely they work with benign spirits. And how they cultivate those relationships. How deep does that go? I also mentioned in a codex "the lives and bodies of those who tamper with the undead of the Necropolis are forfeit unto the Mourn Watch." which is pretty chilling. What's that punishment like, exactly? And in general, writing about anything weird or unexplained in the Necropolis brought me much enjoyment, and it would be fun to dig around how the Mourn Watch deals with (or what they want out of) all these mysteries and entities." [source, two, three, four]
"Geeking out with Emmrich about spooky stuff was a delight to write." [source]
"I liked writing someone older this time, it was something different for me and rewarding in some unexpectedly different ways. (And thanks especially for the nice words on DAtDM - I was very excited to introduce people to the Mourn Watch there!)" [source]
"Ah, tomb-script. I named it but it was our concept artists who went developed it with the hexagon shape-language of the Mourn Watch, which I loved. Conceptually: I think it's used purely an occult or sacred language. Something for the graves, or books on magic, but not everyday things." [source]
"Some trans people kindly offered their help with some feedback on some of the romance lines and others, which absolutely made them much better." [source]
"Trick Weekes actually wrote a ton of the banter where Emmrich inquires into qunari artifacts and customs, and Taash talks about what it was like to grow up under a scholar. I really dig the dynamic they unearthed between the two there." [source]
User: "Do you remember what was written in the script to describe â¨this⨠moment? [link]" // Sylvia: "Lol. I miiiiiight? Let me look at my notes. Ah hah, I do! My note says that Emmrich "takes a second, surprised." And then he's touched afterwards." [source, two]
Sylvia: ""i hope it's not too late, but were there any designs in mind for what Nevarra City looks like?" Not too late! We've got a few sketches in the World of Thedas books, but that's it. If the team ever went back to Nevarra City proper, I'd imagine the art team would want to do a deeper dive." [source]
Sylvia: "(Glad you liked Myrna in particular. My first Mourn Watcher everyone got to know!)" [source]
Sylvia: "I'm glad to hear getting to know Emmrich has been of some comfort." [source]

đŚđ Sexual & Physical Compatibility Synastry đ¤¤
Soooo this post was inspired by one of my close friends. She's in a long distance relationship & was explaining how different sex feels with her new man. Now let me preface this and say
*not everyone will experience this synastry the same, that's okay these are just MY OWN obseervations. Ive been studying this for a few years now and so far - it tracks lol*
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ef5a115108e4a7a927410d5b8d90be37/2ed0489742d24527-c9/s400x600/cd7bbb360342993e99c5dab6598cba166e82892c.jpg)
â¤ď¸âđĽMars-Venus Aspectsâ¤ď¸âđĽ
⨠Conjunction, Trine, or Sextile: These aspects show natural attraction and sexual chemistry. Mars represents passion, while Venus represents love and desire. You can find yourself becoming so intensely attracted to your partner. It's something we astrologers always look for, if you have these, you most certainly will know it by how your body reacts to that person being around you.
⨠Square or Opposition: These can indicate tension that manifests as fiery, passionate attraction but may need effort to balance. So yes, you will want to tear their clothes off every time you interact, but it can also be like unnecessary fights & explosive fights. You will need a sexual outlet.
âď¸Mars-Mars Aspectsâď¸
⨠If Mars in both charts forms a harmonious aspect (e.g., trine or sextile), you may share similar sexual energy levels and desires. Which can lead to wanting the sex at the same time or being on the same page about what makes you feel good in the bedroom.
đ Mars-Pluto Aspectsđ
⨠This is a powerful placement for deep, transformative, and intense sexual attraction. I looooooveeeee seeing this one in couples charts. If you've felt like you can't explain why your body tingles around them, why you can't stop thinking about them? Why you're always wanting to be near them. You possibly have Mars - Pluto. The connection can feel magnetic and almost fated.
đ Venus-Pluto Aspectsđ
â¨These aspects create an obsessive, passionate attraction. I say obsessive bc Pluto is involved. It can be healthy though, depending on how you express your obsessions. Like....don't stalk them, but be open about how they make you crave the. Thereâs often a deep emotional and physical bond that feels irresistible.
đ§ĄMoon-Mars Aspectsđ§Ą
⨠The Moon represents emotions and Mars represents physical drive, so these aspects indicate a connection that blends emotional intimacy with sexual passion. I already did an entire post describing this connection in detail, so make sure you visit that one here:
đVenus-Mars in Each Other's Housesđ
⨠When one partner's Venus or Mars falls into the other's 5th (romance), 7th (partnership), or 8th (sexual intimacy) houses, it can signify strong attraction and sexual compatibility.
đ Sun-Mars Aspectsđ
⨠Harmonious aspects (e.g., trine or sextile) between the Sun and Mars often indicate a strong physical connection. Challenging aspects can create a dynamic but exciting sexual tension. I like Sun & Mars bc sometimes it can feel invigorating & exciting when relationships seem to get dull. You'll always find the other person just enough of a challenge to keep your enticed.
đMoon-Pluto Aspectsđ
⨠This aspect creates emotional intensity and a deep, transformative connection that often translates into a passionate physical bond. I have sen this play out several times and it can be a beautiful bond that only you two will understand. So much so that you may even be willing to try new sexual things w this person, taboo sexual exploration. As long as the emotional connection is being satisfied, you will do anything to please your partner sexually.
â¤ď¸âđĽEros and Psyche (433 & 16)â¤ď¸âđĽ
â¨Eros (sexual desire) and Psyche (soulful love) aspects in synastry can reveal where deep sexual and emotional compatibility exists.
đ North Node Conjunct Venus or Marsđ
â¨This placement suggests a karmic or destined connection where the partners help each other grow, often through romantic or sexual experiences. The friend I was inspired to make this post bc of this has this with her man. His NN is conjunct her Venus. she's expressed many times how his love feels like it is healing her, forcing her to grow as a divine feminine. I love this one, it also leads to sexual healing.
đBonus: 8th House Synastryđ
When one personâs planets fall into the otherâs 8th house, it often triggers themes of intimacy, transformation, and sexual magnetism.
These placements and aspects don't guarantee compatibility, but they can highlight areas of potential connection and attraction. Always look at the full synastry chart for a holistic view!
Do you have any of these? Let me know below!

My experience with some synastry aspects/overlays
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5c45cdb0c34535be20cce7cb2203903b/83bfec558ced53d1-b7/s500x750/ef2559aaf6ca5faf5cd9ec4d890a85193f86a973.jpg)
đŠśHis Moon in my 7th house (#1): I still remember it sometimes, that way a smile would appear on my face at his mere presence. I perceived him as eccentric as he was very different from me, but he had a certain charm. He awakened a warm side in me that at the time I did not know how to understand or handle. But what I did know is that I wanted his happiness, whether it was with me or not. We both loved each other very much, I would dare to say that in the purest way that I have ever loved someone and although there were ups and downs and it did not turn out as planned, I will always wish him the best and I will remember him with warmth in my chest.
đŠśHer Moon in my 7th house (#2): She was a sweetheart, she had a light charm and charisma that enchanted many people no matter how different they were from her. Her company made me feel comfortable and she was someone who spoke about her emotions in a balanced and even tender way. I felt very protective of her and that she felt okay in every way, I even remember putting off some tasks to spend time with her because I genuinely appreciated spending time with her. One of my closest bestfriends.
đŠśHer stellium (Sun, Mars, Mercury & Venus) in my 12th house: I feel very lucky to have met her in this life, she became my safe place and someone I know I can count on regardless of distance or other factors. I think we reflect a lot on a subconscious level and I see in her aspects of my personality [obviously linked to the signs in which her stellium is]. She makes me feel seen and accepted, I know she will never judge me and she has shown me with actions that I can rely on her. I feel like we connect a lot and can understand each other deeply. She is without a doubt one of my best friends and knows that whenever she needs me I can offer her comfort, advice or support.Â
đŠśHis Venus in my 12th house: It was a bit tense, mostly because he has very tense aspects in his chart. Throughout this connection I knew that he loved me the way he knew how to love, although that did not mean that he loved me well or how I wanted him to love me. The energy of the 12th house makes me understand things, even empathize, but it does not mean that they are justified. It was conjunct to my Rising, and I experienced this seeing how he prioritized me a lot and despite being someone who was not affectionate, he was affectionate with me. However, many times because of this difference in ways of loving, I felt his absence.Â
đŠśTheir Mars in my 3rd house: I have to admit... debating with them [I have experienced this overlay several times] was stimulating and even a bit exciting at times. There was a certain tension between us and I never experienced big arguments with them, everything remained a playful banter. They told me that they were very attracted to the way I spoke, from my voice to mannerisms. They put a lot of emphasis on my knowledge about what I liked and how my voice caught their attention.Â
đŠśHis Jupiter in my 7th house: Husband material. It is the most summarized way of explaining it, but I saw this man as someone I would have liked to marry in the future, beyond feelings (which there were) it was a matter of admiration and looking up at him, his ideals, his way of acting. It felt more like a decision than a whim or impulse to want to be with him.
đŠśHer Mars in my 10th house: She was my crush [platonic love?]. I truly adored her very much. The way she carried herself and her strong, reliable and reserved appearance that she portrayed attractive to me. I really like the confidence with which she carries herself and she always behaved very nice and kind to me, becoming protective. She had a tendency to baby me though and being incredibly sweet to me [perhaps her Venus in my 4th house]. A strong attraction and support. [Scorpio + Leo energy]
đŠśHis Mars conjunct my Moon: He was the first person I liked. I would say that it was a strong attraction since we met, although it was not always easy. We used to clash at times, him being more irascible and me being more lighthearted. What was very present is that we always wanted to be close to each other, we used to spend a lot of time together and could be very possessive of each other [and his Moon in Scorpio + lots of tense aspects didn't help much either].Â
đŠśHer Mars square my Mars: There was some tension between us, I think she was much more impulsive than me and reacted defensively. She was very direct with me, with her affection, attraction and even when there were differences or she disagreed, being a positive point. It was very intense and we were definitely very different. She was never aggressive or disrespectful to me, but she had very intense ways of reacting when she got angry with other people and of course, I didn't like that. It should be added that she also had the Moon in Scorpio and afflicted.
đŠśHer Saturn trine my Venus: She was always loyal and constant with me. She wasn't very verbal but she gave me gifts and details. Her way of showing affection or pampering me was with things she knew I liked or fulfilling whims I had. She was capable of spending hours searching for the perfect gift for me and more than once offered to help me pay for large expenses that I had to make. Definitely a lot of provider energy.
đŠśHer Saturn conjunct my Moon: She is one of my best friends, I always tell her that she helps me know how to better manage my emotional crises, that she gives me comfort and security and she tells me that I give her warmth. I believe that we bring a lot of positivity to each other, there is no judgment between us and we help each other as much as we can. We have been friends for several years now and sometimes we forget that there is an age gap between us. I have always thought that she is rather practical and straight to the point, and that is one of the reasons why I feel safe with her. I have always wanted to provide her with emotional support and comfort.Â
đŠśHis Jupiter conjunct my Rising: One of the funny things with him is that he usually does things behind my back to help me, but when we are together we basically tease/argue with each other, most likely because this conjunction happens while his Jupiter falls in my 12th house. He has done a lot of good things for me, from opportunities for professional internships to even inviting me out to hang out or taking me to my favorite places. We always make each other laugh, especially me whenever Iâm in the mood. And I've noticed that no matter how tense we are, we can forget a little about it when we chat or spend time together.
đŠśHer Moon conjunct my Sun: She has always been very protective of me, always looking out for my well-being when we are together and making sure I am comfortable and happy. We have been friends for more than 10 years and she lets me talk about my emotions when I feel low, or even if what I say is something trivial. She is very gentle with me and likes to 'nurture' my independence and self-expression. There is a strong emotional bond between us, even from the first moment. We used to be inseparable when we lived nearby and even after I moved away, I usually go visit her.
đŠśHis Moon conjunct my Uranus: He's a good friend of mine, we tend to have a lot of fun, we've been on some crazy adventures together and we've even traveled together [we even missed a flight once]. We are quite different, while he is more given to creating connections everywhere, I am rather independent and even a bit of a hermit sometimes. Despite that, we love each other a lot and provide emotional support if necessary. I have noticed that we compensate each other, if one is being more emotional, the other behaves rationally [even blurting out truths in a very cold manner]. We can go days without speaking [up to weeks] and when we see each other we catch up and talk as if nothing happened.
đŠśHis Mars opposite my Saturn: I feel that on many occasions he tries to behave when he is with me, many times I am even the one who has a cool head when he explodes or when he is being irascible. When we have to work together we are a great team, we even organize ourselves quite well and we have similar ethics. However, the problem comes when we hang out for a long time, since I perceive him as someone who does not want to change and someone who is generally difficult to live with. His impulsive nature and the way he behaves makes me put some distance between us, even if we can keep things cordial.

Spring Wedding
Sylus x gn!Reader
I am trying to post this so fast before my class begins oh lordy
Edit: changed "my dearest" to "my beloved"
Warnings: past relationship, minor references/implications of emotional/mental abuse, backhanded compliments, protective Sylus, fake relationship
Word Count: 824

You hold tighter to Sylus's hand, your other hand wrapping around his elbow and hugging his arm to your chest to keep you as close to him as possible. Sylus notices right away, but before he can ask whatâs wrong, a voice calls your name from several feet away.
âIs that really you?â
Despite your obvious signs of discomfort, you turn to the voice and plaster a smile on your face. Sure enough, your ex was there in the flesh. Memories of the backhanded compliments and insistence on pushing boundaries fill your mind, alighting every nerve with the desire to run. âOh, wow, hi! I didnât expect to see you here,â you greet with faux enthusiasm.
The person canât seem to keep their eyes off you, ignoring your partner for the night entirely. Sylus had your outfit perfectly tailored and detailed to match him tonight, but the way they studied you made you want to cover yourself with his jacket. You wonder if heâd let you.
Sylus squeezes your hand, a silent question. You respond immediately, the tips of your nails beginning to dig into his knuckles.
âYou look amazing! I havenât seen you in so long, I almost didnât recognize you. That training really shaped you up,â they chuckle.
You cough politely, a distraction from answering their⌠compliments.
âSweetie,â Sylus pipes up, leaning closer to you, âyou havenât introduced us.â His smirk is smug and intimidating, but you can see the fire in his eyes. Your ex doesnât notice, too busy taking in every intricate detail of your face like an art curator at a high-end museum.
âOh, right!â You nod toward them, introducing them by name. âWe dated in high school, before I went off to the Hunterâs Association. And this is Sylus, my-â
âTheir husband.â You discretely pinch his arm. Sylus laughs. âSorry, sweetheart, I couldnât resist. I just love how it sounds.â
The ex blinks, as though theyâve just been rudely awoken from a dream. âHusband? What? When did you get married?â Their question emphasizes the fact itâs you, rather than the union itself.
If this is the game Sylus wants to play, you have no choice now but to play your part. âOh, it was last spring! It was beautiful! The ceremony was held underneath cherry blossom trees and a full moon.â
They raise an eyebrow, a taunting grin dancing unsurely on their lips. âAnd you didnât think to invite me?â
âNo,â Syus answers. Itâs sharp, abrupt, leaving absolutely no room for questions. It wipes the look off their face.
They look you up and down, frowning. âI donât see any rings.â
Sylus chuckles again, tilting his head in a belittling fashion. âRings are hardly enough of a symbol for our love. I crafted them a set of guns. Why donât you show him?â
You smile as you play along, letting go of Sylusâs elbow to retrieve the gun holstered at your thigh. âItâs beautiful, isnât it? He designed every aspect of them, down to the design on the grip.â With years of firearms training under your belt, you maneuver the weapon skillfully around your fingers, before slotting it back in place, reminiscent of old world cowboys. You replace your hand on his arm, beaming as you look up at him. âShow them the knife I made you, darling.â
âOf course, my beloved.â Oh, he was enjoying this much more than he let on. He pulled out a hunting knife from his belt, deftly spinning it around his own fingers before balancing it by the tip on his finger. âI just need to find an opportunity to try it out.â He tests the weight of it in his hand, as though trying to decide the best way to skin an animal. With the way heâs looking at your ex, itâs clear just who heâs thinking of testing it on.
They swallow at the thinly veiled threat. âTh- They look really nice!â they stammer. They try to laugh it off, but it comes off thick and anxious. Their grin is shaky at the corners. âWell, it was, uh, nice to see you again.â Seeming at a bit of a loss for how to extricate themself from the situation, they land somewhere between bowing and waving, before scurrying away. Sylus tucks the knife back in his belt.
You feel like you can breathe again once theyâre out of earshot.
You sigh, mask slipping, and lean heavier into Sylusâs side. He squeezes your hand softly. âThank you for scaring them off.â
He tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. âOf course. How could I possibly let my spouse suffer their existence any longer than necessary?â
You snicker. âIâm not your spouse, you donât have to keep pretending anymore.â
âNo? Damn. And I was already making arrangements for our spring wedding.â He puts his hand on his chin to mime thinking. âUnder cherry blossoms and a full moon, hm?â
âOh, shut up.â

|| in the same reader setting as [this]
|| warnings: lil bit of angst/self-deprecation, reader has spine, some drama for the sake of it, had Bryce's starlight power in mind w reader
Some days, you wonder why you're here. Objectively, you know why ă
Ą but beyond the obvious circumstances, you can't puzzle it out.
Especially as you watch your sisters seemingly click into place. Feyre, of course, has always had a spot ă
Ą as High Lady, mate to Rhysand. Nesta has come into her own as well, finding her strength with the Valkyries and Cassian. And even Elain seems more and more comfortable here.
You still aren't sure where you fit in. It's an echo of how it'd once been back home, before all of it ă
Ą a careful balance to not take too much, need too much ă
Ą to do what you could to help. Unremarkable in all aspects, you suppose, for being Nesta's twin.
Feyre has often likened you to the two sides of the moon ă
Ą cut from the same cloth, but so very different.
And the longer that you go in living here, the more it unsettles you ă
Ą until it eventually comes to a breaking point of needing to do something.
And you begin watching training sessions. The Valkyries, Nesta, Cassian and Azriel ă
Ą it doesn't matter who it is, you watch ă
Ą a book in your lap as an excuse. You don't know why you don't want them knowing what you're truly up to, as there's no shame to be had in wanting to defend yourself.
All the same, you don't breathe a word of it to anyone. Your own sessions are self-made, mimicry clumsy and often times uncoordinated ă
Ą but you're trying, and that's enough. Illyrian warrior you are not ă
Ą but at least it's something.
ă
Ą
"Thank-you for coming with me today," Elain tells you as you walk beside her, pace sedate as she glances at the shops to the right, your own attention on the Sidra to the left.
"Of course," you answer, and you can't help but glance back. Several paces away, Azriel trails behind, looking for all the world relaxed ă
Ą though you know he misses nothing. Though Elain had asked you to accompany her, part of you wonders if Azriel had been hoping to be alone with her ă
Ą you've caught the quiet looks that he's shot her every now and then today.
Sun warming your shoulders, you find your attention back on the Sidra, the gleam of light refracting off the surface. Velaris is beautiful, and you can understand why Rhys worked so hard to keep this place a secret from Amarantha.
"Elain," you begin, "do you thinkă
Ą" You cut yourself off, abruptly aware that your sister is no longer at your side ă
Ą nor is Azriel behind you. In your absent mindedness, you must have kept walking when Elain hadn't ă
Ą and your stomach tightens at the realization that you have no idea where you are.
Stay calm, you think, pushing down the tendrils of instinctive alarm as you try to orient yourself, though none of the buildings are even vaguely familiar. Just how far had you gone?
"Lost?" The voice that speaks from behind you is wholly unfamiliar as you whirl, eyes locking with the deep green of a fae male who approaches you.
"No," you answer coolly, pushing down how the steady rove of his gaze over you makes your skin crawl. "I'm on my way to meet with my sister, actually."
"Oh." He takes another step to you. "Allow me to escort you?"
"No. That won't be necessary," you answer. There's an edge to your tone that you can hear, razor sharp ă
Ą and you move to skirt around him. "If you'll excuse meă
Ą"
Fingers snap around your wrist, squeezing with enough force to hurt as you're yanked to a halt. Something stirs in your chest. "Let go of me."
"Not until you apologize," comes the rough reply. "I'm trying to be kind, and you're veing rude."
You can feel your skin bruising under his grip, the ache of your wrist ă
Ą and your other hand is curling into a fist and snapping up before you truly think about it.
The punch lands against his jaw and he grunts, letting up on your wrist enough for you to wrench it free with a venomous hiss that'd make Nesta proud as warmth bubbles in your veins, licking up your spine as it buzzes beneath your skin. "Get your hands off me."
The male's eyes blaze before he's lunging for you, hand fisting into your hair to yank you back ă
Ą and the world splinters into bright, dazzling light. It blazes, burns brighter than faelight with all the warmth of a summer day as you hear the male yelp ă
Ą and then you're on your knees, hands aching as you press your palms to the rough stone and struggle to even your breathing.
The sharp cry of your name and the rapid approach of footsteps is the only warning you get before arms are around you, pulling you close ă
Ą Elain.
"Are you okay? One minute you were beside me and then you weren't, we were looking everywhere for you and ă
Ą oh, look at your handsă
Ą" Her fussing is going in one ear and out the other as she coaxes you to your feet. "Come on, let's get you to Madja, okay?"
You don't remember much of the trek back, lost in a mute daze that has Elain shooting Azriel a worried look and asking for him to escort you to Madja so she can go tell Feyre what happened.
You're quiet even as the healer looks over your hands, the raw skin of your knuckles and knees where you hit the ground ă
Ą and still not a word leaves your lips until Feyre is calling your name, hands on your shoulders.
"Elain told me what happened, but she said there was a burst of light right before they found youă
Ą"
"Me," you mumble, cutting her off. "That was me. I think." Feyre stares at you, but you're studying your hands. "It...it came from me."
"Oh," Feyre breathes, then glances at Rhysand, who's watching you.
"It's possible she's yielded her powers," he says. "We'll have to see what the extent of it is, and go from there."
It feels a little weird, being discussed as though you aren't there ă
Ą and you're more than grateful when the only one left is Azriel, who watches you as you keep studying your hands.
"...the male who grabbed me," you mumble. "I punched him."
"Good." Azriel's shadows had been the ones to report where you were and what was happening ă
Ą and the fury he'd felt had been interrupted by that burst of light. "Don't feel bad for defending yourself."
"That's the thing," you answer. "I don't." Your brow furrows. "I'm not...like Nesta or Feyre, or Elain." You pause. "I don't know what I am."
He knows you mean more than just today, that this has been haunting you for a while ă
Ą ever since the events that'd landed you here. He can sympathize, truly ă
Ą and then he's approaching to ease your hands apart from where you'd been picking at the gauze over your knuckles.
"You don't need to be anything like them," he tells you, then tenses as you study his hands ă
Ą broader than yours and scarred ă
Ą and then you slot your fingers between his and squeeze gently.
"I have a question," you murmur, letting your other hand rise to trace a fingertip over his knuckles, seemingly unaware of what the simple touch is doing to him. "I...I've been watching all of you train, but I'd like to actually be taught properly."
Azriel hums. "Cassiană
Ą"
"No," you counter, fingers tightening around his. "I want you."
Azriel stills for several long moments where he swears thst his heart stutters, stops, then resumes before he answers. "Okay."

The Perfect Setup (Zandvoort) // LN4
summary: Zandvoort '24. A young engineering prodigy, recruited by McLaren to solve complex F1 challenges, grapples with media scrutiny and an undeniable chemistry with driver Lando Norris. As tensions rise during a crucial race, they must balance professional duty with their growing personal connection.
warnings: she/her reader, smut (18+), unprotected (shower đł) sex, size kink.

The roar of engines filled the air, a symphony of power and precision that reverberated through the paddock. The smell of burning rubber and gasoline mixed with the salty breeze from the nearby coast, creating an intoxicating atmosphere that signaled another race was about to begin. The McLaren garage was a hive of activityâmechanics making last-minute adjustments, engineers poring over data, and drivers mentally preparing for the challenge ahead. Amidst the controlled chaos, you stood, a pillar of calm in a world of speed.
You have always stood out, a prodigy in a field where experience often outweighed talent. But here you were, at the heart of one of the most prestigious teams in Formula 1, your hands and mind guiding the finely-tuned machinery that could make or break a race. At just twenty-two, you were already a respected figure in the paddock, known for your brilliance in engineering and your unyielding dedication to the sport.
Your family had sacrificed so much to help you reach your potential. You were always miles ahead of the other kids. While they were playing with dolls or video games, you were more interested in how those things worked. At six years old, you were already taking apart remote control cars, not to play with them, but to understand the intricate systems that made them move. By the time you were ten, you were building small engines from scratch, fascinated by the power and precision of mechanical systems.
Your parents quickly realized they had a prodigy on their hands. They encouraged your curiosity, enrolling you in expensive science and engineering programs meant for kids much older than you. You thrived in these environments, always eager to learn more, to push the boundaries of what you could create. By the time you were a teenager, you had already won several national engineering competitions, earning a reputation as a young genius in the world of mechanics.
When you first discovered Formula 1, everything changed. The speed, the technology, the sheer complexity of the carsâit captivated you like nothing else. You devoured everything you could find about F1 engineering, learning about aerodynamics, power units, and the delicate balance between speed and control. While other teenage girls were dreaming of prom dresses and much older boyfriends , you were dreaming of being in the garage, fine-tuning the machines that drove the world of motorsport.
Your parents knew that pursuing a career in F1 was a long shot, especially for a young woman, but they supported you every step of the way. They worked multiple jobs and sacrificed their own dreams so that you could chase yours.
Thankfully, your talent didnât go unnoticed. By the time you were 16, you had caught the attention of several top engineers in the F1 world, earning an internship with Mercedes. You quickly made a name for yourself as a technical genius, capable of understanding and improving complex systems that seasoned engineers struggled with. The paddock buzzed with stories of the young girl who was instrumental in Mercedes' dominance.
With your newfound fame came an onslaught of media attention. Reporters from major news outlets were relentless, hounding you for interviews and prying into every aspect of your life. They asked invasive questions about your personal relationships, sought your opinions on the sport's latest controversies, and even pressed you to address misogynistic rumors linking you romantically with certain drivers. The spotlight, once a place of professional pride, had become a battlefield where your every word was scrutinized, and your achievements were often overshadowed by baseless gossip.
Zak Brown fought tooth and nail to bring you to McLaren, recognizing that you were the missing piece they needed to conquer the new regulations. When it became clear that the team was struggling to master the latest specifications, he knew they needed someone with your unique blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking. Zak saw in you a mind that could bridge the gap between theory and practice, someone who could not only understand the intricacies of the new rules but also translate them into real-world performance on the track.
But today, on the day of Max Verstappen's home race, there was an unmistakable charge in the airâtensions were higher, the stakes more personal. It wasnât just another race; it was a proving ground, not only for the car but for you, the team, and especially for the driver who had become both your greatest challenge and your fiercest ally: Lando Norris.
Lando, the young, fiercely talented star of McLaren, had a natural charm that made him a media darling, but it was his relentless drive to win that truly defined him. From the moment you joined the team, your relationship with Lando had been anything but smooth. Your strong wills collided over every detail, every decision. He saw you as a nuisance, someone who constantly questioned his instincts and pushed him beyond his comfort zone. To you, Lando was stubborn, even arrogant at timesâa driver who needed to understand that perfection on the track wasn't just about raw talent but about achieving the perfect synergy between man and machine. And today, thatâs exactly what you were trying to achieve.
Standing in the garage, you reviewed the data on your tablet for what felt like the hundredth time. You had pulled an all-nighter, fine-tuning an experimental setup that you believed could give Lando the edge he needed on this notoriously challenging circuit. But convincing him to trust your untested approach was another matter.
Lando stormed into the garage, the top part of his race suit hanging low on his hips revealing his fire proofs, his expression a mix of frustration and determination. âYouâve got to be kidding me,â he said, glancing at the setup specs displayed on the screen. âThis is what youâve been working on all night?â
âYes,â you replied, meeting his gaze without flinching. âThis setup could give you the downforce you need through the corners without sacrificing speed on the straights. Iâve run the simulations a dozen timesâit works.â
âSimulations?â Lando scoffed, running a hand through his curls in agitation. âSimulations arenât the same as the real thing. We canât afford to take risks like this, not here, not today.â
âThis isnât a risk, Lando,â you shot back, your voice steady despite the tension. âThis is a calculated decision based on hard data. I wouldnât be recommending it if I didnât believe it would make a difference.â
He crossed his arms, his jaw set in that stubborn way youâd come to recognize all too well. âYouâre asking me to trust a setup weâve never used in a race, in front of Maxâs home crowd, no less. What if it doesnât work? What if it costs me the race?â
âAnd what if it wins you the race?â you countered, stepping closer to him. âYou know as well as I do that playing it safe isnât going to cut it against Verstappen on his home turf. We need every advantage we can get, and this setup is that advantage.â
Lando stared at you, his eyes searching yours for any sign of doubt. But you didnât waver. You believed in this setup, and more importantly, you believed in him.
Finally, he relented, nodding slowly. "Fine. But if this doesnât work, I swear I will never let you live it down."
âIt willâ you interrupted, a small tired smile tugging at the corner of your lips. âIâll be right there with you, making sure it does.â
A ghost of a smirk played on his face, his eyes betraying the glimmer of a sparkle. For a moment, the garage was silent, the two of you standing closer than you realized, caught in the intensity of the moment. The intoxicating blend of his dark, amber-scented perfume mingled with the unmistakable and familiar scent of the paddock, created a heady aroma that threatened to cloud your senses entirely.
Your breath hitched as his gaze dropped to your lips, lingering there for a fraction of a second before flicking back up to your eyes. You could feel your cheeks burning as his gaze caressed you.
Lando cleared his throat, breaking the spell and stepping back.
"Well, let's get this done." he said, his usual light tone returning as he ran a hand through his hair again. "Wouldn't want to keep the adoring crowd waiting." He winked.
You rolled your eyes and smiled, thankful for the change in energy.
You both turned back to the screen to finalize the setup adjustments. As you worked side by side, the air between you felt differentânot just charged with the usual tension, but with a deeper, more intimate connection. It was almost as if a switch had been flipped, and you had moved from being teammates to something more.
The race was minutes away, but for the first time, you felt like you were truly part of a teamâLandoâs team. And that, more than anything, was what mattered. The moments before the race were a blur of final checks and hurried conversations. You stood by Landoâs car, your heart pounding with adrenaline, not just from the intensity of the race but from something deeperâsomething you were trying desperately not to acknowledge. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a golden hue over the Zandvoort Circuit, you caught Landoâs eye. He was already in his race suit, helmet in hand, but there was a softness in his gaze, a silent acknowledgment of the connection youâd both been dancing around for months.
The starting grid was tense with anticipation. Lando had secured pole position in a spectacular qualifying session, and the team was buzzing with excitement. But everyone knew this race wouldnât be easyânot with Verstappen starting right behind him, eager to impress his home crowd.
The lights went out, and the roar of the engines filled the air as the cars launched off the line. Lando got a good start, but so did Verstappen. As they barreled into the first corner, Verstappen made a daring move, diving down the inside and taking the lead. The crowd erupted in cheers, the sea of orange on its feet as their hometown hero took charge.
âHold steady,â you whispered under your breath, your eyes glued to the screen. Lando had lost the lead, but the race was far from over.
The next few laps were a blur of precision and strategy. Lando stayed close to Verstappen, not letting him get away, but it was clear that the McLarenâs setup was allowing him to conserve his tires while maintaining pace. The tension was palpable, every corner, every straight a testament to the fine-tuning you and the team had worked so hard to perfect.
As the race approached its midpoint, an opportunity presented itself. Verstappen, pushing hard to maintain his lead, began to show signs of tire degradation. You watched the data closely, your fingers gripping the edge of the console.
âThis is it, Lando,â you said over the radio, your voice steady but laced with anticipation. âHis tires are gone. Youâve got this.â
Lando didnât respond, but you knew heâd heard you. His driving became more aggressive, more precise, as he closed the gap to Verstappen. And then, on lap 47, the moment youâd been waiting for arrived. Lando set himself up perfectly coming out of Turn 9, using the slipstream to his advantage. As they approached the hairpin, he made his move, diving down the inside with the confidence of a driver who knew his carâand his own abilitiesâwere more than a match for the challenge.
He retook the lead, and this time, he wasnât about to let it go.
âNicely done, Lando!â you cheered into the radio, unable to keep the excitement out of your voice. The entire team erupted in applause, but your focus remained on the car, on the driver who had just reminded everyone why he was one of the best.
The final laps were a masterclass in control. Lando maintained his lead, keeping Max at bay and managing his tires to perfection, while also building a substantial gap. As he crossed the finish line, taking the checkered flag, the McLaren garage exploded in celebration.
âYou did it, Lando! You won!â The words burst out of you, the relief and joy evident in every syllable.
Landoâs voice crackled over the radio, filled with the same emotion. âWe did it. The car came alive.â A flush of pride warmed your cheeks. This was your win, tooâyour idea, your hard work, your dedication to perfection.
As Lando pulled into the pit lane, the world seemed to slow down. He stepped out of the car, removing his helmet to reveal a smile that lit up his entire face. You had joined the team to celebrate alongside Lando. Before you knew it, he was walking toward you, his eyes locked onto yours. The team was cheering, clapping him on the back, but Lando didnât stop until he was right in front of you. He reached out, taking your hand in his, the contact sending a jolt through you.
âThank you.â He said simply, the words full of meaning.
Your smile widened as you squeezed his hand, the rush of adrenaline and pride filling you with a new kind of certainty. In this moment, the only thing that mattered was him, and you. You squeezed his hand, your heart racing not from the adrenaline of the race, but from the intensity of the moment between you. âThank you for trusting me, Lando.â
There was a brief silence, the noise of the celebration fading into the background as the world narrowed to just the two of you. Then, with a quick glance around as if to check that no one was watching too closely, Lando leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek, his breath warm against your skin.
âCouldnât have done it without you,â he repeated, a whisper that sent your heart into overdrive.
You smiled, feeling the warmth spread through you. âAnd weâll do it again.â
The race had been a victory, but this momentâstanding with Lando, the connection between you undeniableâfelt like something even more precious. It was the start of something new, something that went beyond the garage and the racetrack.Â
â-
The podium celebration had been nothing short of electrifying. The roar of the crowd, the spray of champagne, and the sight of Lando beaming as he hoisted the trophy high above his head was a moment you knew you would never forget. As the McLaren team gathered to celebrate, you found yourself on the podium alongside Lando, representing the team that had worked tirelessly to secure this victory. It was a whirlwind of emotionsâpride and undeniable joy.
But as you made your way back to the garage drenched in Ferrari champagne, the adrenaline of the win still pulsing through your veins, you rounded a corner and nearly collided with Chiara, McLarenâs senior PR manager. Her usually composed expression was tense, and you could tell immediately that she had something on her mind.
âGreat job out there,â Chiara started, her voice measured but tinged with concern. âThe team couldnât be happier, but we need to talk.â Your stomach sank as a sense of foreboding crept over you. Chiara had been your main point of contact for media communication since joining the team, and you knew that if she was this worried, it must be something serious. You felt a knot form in your stomach. The way she was looking at you told you that this wasnât just about the race. âWhatâs on your mind, Chiara?â
She glanced around, making sure no one else was within earshot, then pulled you aside into a quieter corner of the garage. âLook, I donât want to rain on your parade, but we need to be careful about how things appear. The media and fans are already buzzing about you and Lando, especially after that little moment after the finish.â
Your mind flashed back to the celebration, to the kiss on the cheek Lando had given you, the way his hand had lingered on yours just a bit longer than necessary. It had felt private, special, but of course, nothing was truly private in the world of Formula 1, especially not when the cameras were always rolling.
âYou know how it is,â Chiara continued, her tone softening slightly. âFans are passionate, and the media loves a good story. Theyâll spin anything to make headlines. Iâm not saying you canât haveâŚwhatever it is you have with Lando, but we need to manage the optics. The last thing we want is for this to distract from the teams success.â
You nodded, understanding her concerns. The last thing you wanted was to give the press ammunition to turn your hard-earned victory into tabloid fodder. But the idea of keeping your newfound feelings for Lando hidden, of pretending there was nothing between you, felt like a bitter pill to swallow.
âI get it, Chiara,â you said finally, meeting her gaze with determination. âIâm not going to let them turn this into a scandal. Lando and IâŚweâre professionals first. Weâll handle this.â
Chiara smiled, relieved by your response. âI know you will. Just keep in mind that perception is everything in this sport. And right now, you both have the worldâs attention.â
With that, Chiara gave your arm a reassuring squeeze before heading off to her next order of business. You stood there, rooted to the spot for a moment, letting her words sink in. The exhilaration of the victory still buzzed through you, but it was now tinged with the sobering reality of the situation. The weight of her advice pressed down on your shoulders, reminding you that nothing in this world came without its complications.
You sighed, running a hand through your hair, dislodging tiny droplets of champagne that sprayed out like glittering confetti. The sticky remnants of the podium celebration clung to you, a tangible reminder of the nightâs highs. What you needed now was a serious showerâsomething to wash away not just the champagne, but the lingering tension from your conversation with Chiara.
As you made your way toward the teamâs private quarters, the hum of activity in the paddock slowly faded, leaving you alone with your thoughts. Chiaraâs words echoed in your mind, a reminder of the reality you both lived inâa world where every glance, every gesture, could be dissected and spun into a narrative you had little control over. The media would indeed be relentless, and the fans, always watching, would be insatiable in their curiosity. But how could you distance yourself from somethingâor someoneâthat had become so central to your life, to your happiness? The chemestry you shared with Lando was undeniable, and no amount of PR maneuvering could erase what you felt for him.
As you reached the lockers, you turned on the shower, eagerly anticipating the soothing warmth of the water to ease the tension knotted in your muscles. The promise of relief was a welcome thought after the intensity of the day.
You let out a small sigh, beginning to discard your champagne-soaked clothes. The polo that had clung to your skin now felt heavy, both physically and metaphorically, as you peeled it off and tossed it into the laundry bin. The dayâs victories and challenges seemed to weigh on you all at once. The exhilaration of the win, the tension with Lando, the quiet moments where everything between you felt so effortlessâthey all mingled in your mind, creating a cocktail of emotions that left you feeling both intoxicated and exhausted.
You stood there for a moment, stripped down to your underwear, the cool air of the locker room a welcome contrast to the heat of the day. Lost in thought, you hadnât even noticed Lando entering until you felt his presence, a subtle shift in the air that made the tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. The realization of how exposed you were hit you all at onceâhalf-naked and vulnerable in more ways than one.
Your first instinct was to cover yourself, but something in the way Lando looked at you made you pause. His eyes, darker now with an intensity that was impossible to ignore, roamed over your body, lingering on the curves and lines revealed by your lack of clothing. The heat that flushed your cheeks had nothing to do with embarrassment and everything to do with the way his gaze set your skin ablaze. You couldn't meet his gaze fully, not when you were absolutely sure it would burn you from the inside.
He murmured your name, his voice low, vibrating with a tension that matched the fire in his eyes. The way he said it, the way his gaze traced over you, made it feel like a caress. âLook at me.â
There was a challenge in his tone, and you met it head-on, your breath catching as your eyes locked with his. In the fluorescent lighting of the locker room, his features seemed more defined, his jawline sharper, his lips fuller.
There was no mistaking the desire that simmered just beneath the surface, a reflection of the same need that pulsed through your veins. It was as if the world had narrowed to just the two of you, the space between you crackling with a chemistry that had been building for far too long.
Lando took a step closer, his gaze never leaving yours, and with each inch he closed, the air around you seemed to thicken, heavy with anticipation. He was close enough now that you could feel the warmth radiating from his body, the scent of his skinâchampagne and amber with a hint of the adrenaline that still lingered from the raceâfilling your senses.
The silence stretched between you, and yet, it was as if an entire conversation was taking place, unspoken but understood. Every fiber of your being was attuned to him, the tension between you palpable. "I can practically hear that big brain of yours working overtime." he said, his voice even lower now, almost a rumble. His hand reached out, fingertips brushing lightly against your arm, leaving a trail of electricity in their wake. The touch was gentle, but it was enough to make you shiver, your skin hypersensitive to every point of contact.
The last remnants of your resolve began to crumble, and you could see the same struggle playing out in Landoâs eyes. There was a flicker of hesitation, a silent question hanging in the space between youâwhether to cross this line, to take what you both so clearly wanted.
But then he stepped even closer, his hand sliding up your arm to your shoulder, his fingers tracing the curve of your collarbone. The touch was light, almost reverent, but it carried the weight of everything unsaid between you. His eyes followed the path his hand made, and when he looked back up at you, there was no more hesitation, only a hunger that mirrored your own.
âYou have no idea what you do to me,â he whispered, his voice rough around the edges, as though he was barely holding himself back.
You could feel the heat pooling between your legs, a familiar ache begging to be satisfied. With every brush of his fingers, you felt your resolve crumbling.
You tilted your chin up, your lips parting in invitation. The look in his eyes was pure need, a reflection of the desire coursing through you. He leaned in, his breath warm on your lips, his scent simply intoxicating now that it was mixed with the sharp fruity champagne.
It was as if time had slowed down, and all you could focus on was the heat of his body, the anticipation of his touch, the promise of everything that would come next. And then, finally, he closed the distance between you, capturing your lips in a kiss that sent a jolt of electricity through your body.
The feel of his lips on yours was electric, sending sparks racing across your skin. His mouth moved against yours, hungry and demanding, his tongue tracing the seam of your lips, seeking entrance. You opened for him, letting him deepen the kiss, savoring the taste of him. It was like nothing you had ever experienced beforeâthe combination of the champagne, the adrenaline, and the sheer relief of finally giving in to the chemistry that had been simmering between you was enough to make your head spin.
As his hands roamed over your bare skin, igniting a trail of heat wherever they touched, you could feel your body responding, the desire building with every passing second. He kissed you like a man starved, and you met his hunger with your own, matching his pace. Your hands found his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart under your palms, the heat of his skin drawing you in like a magnet. He was solid and real beneath your touch, and you pressed yourself against him, the sensation of his body against yours igniting something primal and uncontrollable inside you.
Landoâs breath hitched at the contact, his hands splaying across your back, fingers digging in just enough to send a shiver down your spine. His mouth hovered just inches from yours, his breath warm against your lips, and you could feel the tension coiling tighter between you, ready to snap.
âLando,â you whispered, your voice barely audible, more a plea than anything else.
That was all it took to break the final thread of restraint. There was no gentleness now, only the raw, urgent need that had been simmering between you for what felt like forever.
You kissed him back with equal fervour, your hands sliding up to tangle in his damp curls, pulling him even closer as his hands roamed over your back, your waist, every inch of skin he could reach. The heat of his body, the taste of him on your lipsâit was overwhelming in the best possible way, drowning out every thought that wasnât about him, about this.
Landoâs hands found the clasp of your bra, and with a practiced flick, he had it undone, the fabric slipping away as his hands moved to cup your breasts, his thumbs brushing over your nipples in a way that made you gasp against his mouth. The sound seemed to fuel him, and he deepened the kiss, his tongue sweeping into your mouth as he backed you up against the lockers, the cool metal a sharp contrast to the heat between you.
You could feel the solid press of his body against yours, his arousal evident as he pinned you to the lockers, his hands never ceasing their exploration. Reaching your panties, his fingers slid under the band, tugging them down in one smooth motion, his movements sure and confident, as if he knew exactly what he wanted. The sheer contrast of standing before him completely naked while he remained fully clothed amplified the raw vulnerability of the moment, making it feel intensely intimate and charged with a potent, almost primal, energy.
Your own hands moved lower, sliding down his clothed chest, his hard abs, until you reached the waistband of his pants. The feel of his muscles tensing under your touch sent another wave of desire through you, and you wasted no time in slipping your hand beneath the fabric, finding his impressive length and trying to wrap your fingers around him.
His forehead resting against yours as he sucked in a sharp breath, his eyes closing as the friction elicited a rush of pleasure that had him breaking the kiss to let out a curse. For a moment, he just stood there, his breath ragged, his hands tightening on your hips, as if trying to steady himself.
âYouâre driving me crazy,â he muttered, his voice thick with desire, and the raw honesty of it sent a thrill through you.
âGood,â you replied, your own voice husky with need, your hand beginning to move with deliberate strokes that had him groaning, his head dropping to your shoulder as he tried to keep himself in check. He reached for his fireproofs and pulled them off, his movements almost frantic. You helped him, pushing the fabric over his hips, revealing the perfection of his physique.
You couldn't help but stare at him, taking in the lean, sculpted lines of his body, the taut muscles that flexed with each movement. You inhaled a sharp breath as your eyes finally landed on his cock, hard and swollen with desire. You were no stranger to the male anatomy as your hormones and curiosity had gotten the best of you in the past, but you were starting to become nervous about taking his impressive size inside of you.
Before your brain could spiral too far, you felt Lando's hands on you, his touch firm but gentle, his calloused fingertips sending shivers of pleasure through your body as he traced patterns along your skin, as if he was trying to memorize every inch of you. The chemistry between you had ignited into a full-blown inferno, and neither of you had any intention of putting it out.Â
In a fluid motion, Lando lifted you, your legs wrapping around his waist as he carried you over to the shower that had been steaming in anticipation. You giggled as the warm water hit your skin, the tension between you melting away as the shower cascaded over you both.
"I've been wanting to do this since the moment I saw you," he said, his voice low and rough, the sound of it sending a shiver of anticipation down to your core.
"Then don't make me wait any longer," you replied, a challenge and a plea, and the heat that flared in his eyes at the words was enough to make you burn for him.
He lowered his mouth to yours, the kiss slow and deep, a delicious contrast to the urgency. His hand reached between your legs, finding the wetness there and stroking with just the right amount of pressure, his thumb circling your clit and making you gasp into his mouth. He seemed to know exactly what you needed, and he used it against you, building you up slowly but surely, the pleasure coiling tighter and tighter with every expert movement of his hand.
You clung to him, your nails digging into the slick skin of his back, a desperate attempt to anchor yourself against the waves of pleasure that threatened to consume you. He entered two of his thick fingers making you whimper at the stretch. His free hand was on the side of your face, tilting it up to capture your lips with his, kissing you with a tenderness that belied the urgency of the situation. You knew he was trying his best to prepare you for his cock, but it was a lot. He was a lot.
"I don't think you're going to fit," you whispered, feeling embarrassed, but he just smiled, his fingers still working their magic.
"Oh, I will," he promised, and you felt a jolt of desire shoot through you at the certainty in his voice.
The words sent a rush of heat through you, and you felt yourself clenching around his fingers, the pleasure intensifying as he stroked your g-spot with precision. Lando swallowed your moans, the feel of his body pressed against yours, the warmth of the water surrounding you, and the expert movements of his hand bringing you closer and closer to the edge. He was relentless, his fingers working you relentlessly until the pleasure became too much, the tension snapping and sending you crashing over the edge.
The orgasm tore through you, leaving you trembling in its wake, and Lando held you close, his hands gentle now as he supported you. You were gasping for air, the feeling so intense it was almost overwhelming. He murmured your name, his voice soft and low, the sound of it making something inside you ache.
You looked up at him, meeting his gaze, the intensity of his eyes almost enough to make you forget how to breathe.
"I've got you," he murmured, his voice full of emotion, and in that moment, you believed him.
Slowly, the haze of pleasure began to clear, and you became aware of the tension coiled in his body, the way his muscles were taut with restraint, the evidence of his own desire pressed against your thigh. He was still rock-hard, and you suddenly wanted nothing more than to feel him inside you, to experience that connection on a deeper level.
"I'm ready," you breathed, your voice laced with a need that you could no longer deny.
He nodded as he turned you around, pressing your face against the cool tile, a sharp contrast to the warmth of the water. Your breath hitched as he lined up his cock with your entrance, the blunt tip already threatening to breach you. He gathered some of your moisture by rubbing his tip against your folds, sending jolts of pleasure through your body.
"I'll go slow," he whispered, as his other hand grabbed your neck, forcing you to arch your back. He took a moment to burn this very image in his mind. He had thought about this moment countless times before, but now that it was happening, it was even better than he could have imagined.
With a slow, deliberate push, he was able to get the head inside. Your eyes shut as you felt the stretch, his girth much more than you were used to. You let out a whimper as you reached for the hand currently holding your neck, seeking his support. You could hear him mutter under his breath, the words too quiet for you to make out. You assumed it was a string of curse words, but you didn't dare look.
With his hand gripping your hip, he pushed deeper, slowly but steadily, inch by inch. You could feel every vein on his perfect cock, the stretch dancing on the edge of pain and pleasure. He kept stopping, pulling back a bit and then pushing deeper again. You could tell he was doing his best to let you adjust to his size, but it was still a struggle.
Once he bottomed out, he groaned as you let out a sound that you've never heard yourself make before. A mixture between a moan and gasp. His hands traveled up your body, finding your breasts and giving them a squeeze, before settling on your shoulders. You could feel the water trickling down your back as the steam created a haze around the two of you. You were both panting, trying to catch your breath. You could feel his hot breath against your ear.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice rough, a mixture of desire and concern.
"Yes," you answered, not even recognizing your own voice, "I'm just a little...full."
He chuckled at that, his cock twitching inside you. He slowly started moving his hips, the drag of his cock against your walls lighting up every nerve in your body. You couldn't string two thoughts together as he started creating a torturous rhythm. One of his hands travelled down to your bundle of nerves, pinching it with every thrust.
"Fuck," you cursed, "fuck, fuck, fuck." You couldn't believe how drunk you were on him.
He chuckled as he grabbed you from the now warm tile, resting you flat against his front. The new angle allowed him to reach deeper, making you whimper and whine with every thrust. His hands reached for your jaw, tilting it so he could stare deeply into your eyes. He was watching every reaction, every change in your expression.
"Tell me what you feel." he demanded, his voice hoarse, and you forced yourself to open your eyes, meeting his gaze. The intensity of his stare was almost enough to send you over the edge again, but you clung to the last threads of your self-control, desperate to prolong this moment.
"I feel...I feel everything," you gasped, the words barely more than a whisper. âIâve never felt like this bâ"
He silenced you with a kiss, swallowing the rest of your words. It was a clash of tongues and teeth, a battle for dominance that neither of you could win. The heat between you was unbearable, the need for release consuming every thought. You knew he was close, could feel the tension coiling in his muscles, the way his thrusts were becoming more erratic, less controlled. But you weren't ready to let go, not yet.
You pulled away from the kiss, forcing him to meet your gaze. "Please don't stop," you begged, your voice rough with need, "I need you, Lando."
That was all it took. His eyes darkened, and he let out a growl, his grip on your jaw tightening as he captured your lips again, the kiss almost violent in its intensity. It was as if a switch had been flipped, the raw hunger between you reaching a new level.
He fucked into you with wild abandon, his hips snapping as he chased his release. The pleasure was blinding, the sensation of his cock filling you, stretching you, sending you spiraling toward the edge. You could feel the tension building, the pleasure coiling tighter and tighter until you could no longer hold back.
The orgasm crashed over you like a wave, stealing the air from your lungs as your body shuddered in his arms. Your eyes closed, the white light behind your eyelids pulsing in time with the waves of pleasure washing over you. You couldn't breathe, couldn't think, could only cling to him as you rode out the storm.
Lando buried his face in the crook of your neck, his lips finding the delicate skin there, sucking and nibbling. You could feel the pleasure building again, the combination of his cock inside you, his hands gripping your hips, his lips against your neck sending you hurtling toward another climax.
"I'm close," he panted, his voice rough with need, "so close, fuck."
The words sent a surge of heat through you, and you clenched around him, feeling him shudder as his own release washed over him. You grabbed as his curls, forcing him to look at you, the intensity of his gaze pushing you over the edge again, the pleasure so intense it bordered on pain.
"Fuck, I can feel you," he gasped, his cock twitching inside you as your core milked him, the sensation of his release triggering another wave of pleasure.
You both clung to each other, riding out the waves, the intensity of the moment rendering you speechless. You were both gasping for air, the aftershocks of pleasure coursing through your bodies. Lando buried his face in your neck, his lips ghosting over your skin, the sensation almost too much to bear.
You stood there for what felt like an eternity, wrapped in each other's arms, the only sound the steady beat of the water as it cascaded over you. You couldn't remember the last time you'd felt so sated, so utterly spent.
Finally, Lando pulled back, his eyes searching yours, his expression a mix of emotionsârelief, contentment, and a hint of something else, something that sent a thrill through you. He brushed a strand of hair from your face, his touch gentle, almost reverent.
"That was...fuck," he said, his voice rough, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
You grinned, the joy and satisfaction evident in every line of your body. You could feel him slowly softening inside you, and you reluctantly unwrapped your legs, letting him slide out of you. You gasped feeling yourself become sore already. He chuckled as he noticed, turning off the water and wrapping you in a towel, gently drying you off before lifting you up in his arms.
"You're gonna kill me," he muttered, a spark of humor in his voice, and you laughed, the sound echoing off the tiles, the sound carefree and light.
You kissed him, slow and deep, the kiss full of promises and possibilities. This was only the beginning, and you both knew it. You pulled back, gazing at him with a mixture of awe and admiration, your heart full of the realization of what you'd found, the connection between you now undeniable.
"Get that perfect ass to media duty before they start sending out a search party," you teased, a chuckle escaping as you watched the realization of his looming responsibilities flicker across his face.
"Yes, ma'am," he replied, giving you a quick peck on the lips before setting you down, "but just know, this was the best shower I've ever taken."
You smirked, unable to hide the blush creeping across your cheeks. "I'll keep that in mind."
As he left, a sense of calm washed over you, the satisfaction of the moment lingering in the air like a sweet perfume. The memory of his touch, the weight of his body against yours, the deliciously filthy sounds he had coaxed from you, would stay with you forever, a private treasure. You sighed, reveling in the warmth and comfort that seemed to envelop you, the afterglow of your tryst still humming through your veins.

The Necessity Of Baneful Witchcraft
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b3dc25ed43bd9612c2b6fd8a65faf761/61f3248c78a968cf-c8/s540x810/104e49dff260a2327b31ae581e5af413d3ffe6a1.jpg)
Baneful magick refers to any spellwork intended to harm, manipulate, or obstruct a target, whether for justice, retribution, or personal defense. While some witches avoid it due to ethical concerns or spiritual beliefs, others see it as a natural and necessary aspect of the craft. Baneful magick has existed in various cultures for centuries, from the hexes of European cunning folk to the protective bindings of African diasporic traditions. It is neither inherently good nor evil; rather, its morality depends on intent, consequences, and perspective.
There are several schools of thought regarding baneful magick. Practitioners who follow the Wiccan Rede (âAn it harm none, do what ye willâ) generally avoid baneful magick, believing in karmic consequences or the Threefold Law, which states that any energy sent out returns threefold. Some witches believe baneful magick is justified when used to restore balance, enforce justice, or protect the vulnerable. In these traditions, curses and hexes are seen as rightful retribution rather than malicious acts. Many practitioners see magick as a tool, neither good nor bad. They believe in personal responsibility, understanding that every action carries consequences, but do not impose rigid moral codes on their spellwork.
Examples of Baneful Magick
⢠Binding Spells â Used to restrict an individualâs actions, preventing them from causing harm.
⢠Reversal Spells â Sending negative energy or a curse back to its sender.
⢠Curses & Hexes â Magick designed to inflict misfortune, pain, or long-term suffering.
⢠Jinxes â Short-term spells that cause minor inconveniences or bad luck.
⢠Poppet Magick â Using a doll or effigy to influence or harm a target.
⢠Gazes â Using a method such as the Evil Eye or overlooking to curse with the eyes.

Why is it Needed?
The necessity of baneful magick in witchcraft is a topic of debate among practitioners, but those who advocate for it argue that it serves several essential functions within a balanced magical practice. Here are some key reasons why baneful magick is considered necessary by some witches:
⢠Protection and Self-Defense: Baneful magick is often used as a form of spiritual, energetic, or even physical protection. Many practitioners believe that not all threats can be dealt with through passive means, and sometimes, direct action is necessary to deter harm or prevent further attacks. This can include curses, bindings, and hexes against those who pose a danger.
⢠Justice and Retribution: Some witches view baneful magick as a means of enforcing justice when mundane methods fail. If someone has committed harm without consequence, certain magical traditions believe that spells can be used to balance the scales, ensuring that the wrongdoer faces the repercussions of their actions.
⢠Maintaining Balance: Witchcraft, like nature, operates on the principle of balanceâboth creation and destruction. Baneful magick is seen as part of the natural cycle, ensuring that energies remain in harmony rather than allowing unchecked positivity to enable harm. Just as nature has predators to maintain ecosystems, some believe magick must include baneful aspects to keep equilibrium.
⢠Empowerment and Boundaries: Engaging in baneful magick can be an assertion of personal power and boundaries. It allows practitioners to reclaim control over their lives, particularly when they have been wronged or oppressed. It can serve as a psychological and magical declaration of sovereignty.
⢠Shadow Work and Personal Growth: Baneful magick forces practitioners to confront their own darkness, ethics, and the consequences of their actions. It requires deep self-awareness, ensuring that spells are cast with full knowledge of their impact. Many believe that working with darker aspects of magick leads to a more complete and mature understanding of power and responsibility.
⢠Dealing with Persistent Negative Forces: Some believe that certain entities, people, or energies simply will not respond to healing or banishing techniques. In such cases, baneful magick may be seen as the only viable solution for neutralizing a persistent threat or malevolent force.
While baneful magick is not necessary for every practitioner, those who incorporate it into their craft see it as a toolâone that, like any tool, should be used responsibly, ethically, and with careful consideration of its consequences. Just like nature, magick is neither black or white, it just is. As a witch, it is your right to use your magick to defend yourself, and then some.

I. Foundations of Spiritual Hygiene in Reality Shifting
A. Defining spiritual hygiene
Spiritual hygiene, in the context of reality shifting, refers to the practice of maintaining a clean, balanced, and harmonious energetic state of being. It encompasses various techniques and habits that aim to purify one's spiritual, mental, and emotional bodies/states. Just as physical hygiene involves cleansing and caring for our physical bodies, spiritual hygiene focuses on cleansing and nurturing our non-physical aspects.
At its core, spiritual hygiene is about cultivating a state of inner clarity, positivity, and alignment with one's higher self. This involves:
Energetic cleansing: Regularly clearing one's aura/energy/chakras of negative and stagnant energies that may accumulate from daily interactions, stress, or environmental factors.
Mental clarity: Maintaining a clear and focused mind, free from excessive worry, doubt, or negative thought patterns.
Emotional balance: Processing and releasing emotions in a healthy manner, avoiding emotional stagnation or overwhelming states.
Intentional living: Aligning one's thoughts, actions, and intentions with their highest values and spiritual goals.
Spiritual connection: Nurturing a connection with one's inner guidance, higher self, or preferred spiritual entities.
Energetic boundaries: Establishing and maintaining healthy energetic boundaries to protect oneself from external negative influences.
Vibrational upliftment: Consistently raising one's vibrational frequency through positive practices, thoughts, and experiences.
In the context of reality shifting, spiritual hygiene takes on additional significance as it directly influences one's ability to navigate between different states of consciousness and therefore realities.
B. Connection between spiritual cleanliness and successful shifting
The practice of reality shifting requires a high degree of mental focus, emotional stability, and energetic alignment. Spiritual hygiene plays a crucial role in facilitating these conditions, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful shifting attempts. The connection between spiritual cleanliness and successful shifting can be understood through several key aspects:
Vibrational alignment: Reality shifting often involves attuning oneself to the vibrational frequency of your desired reality. A spiritually clean state allows for easier alignment with higher vibrational frequencies, making it more feasible to connect with and shift to your intended/desired reality.
Mental clarity and focus: A cluttered or chaotic mind can hinder the concentration required for shifting. Regular spiritual hygiene practices help clear mental fog, reduce intrusive thoughts, and enhance the ability to visualize and focus on the desired reality.
Emotional stability: Intense or unprocessed emotions can create energetic blockages that interfere with shifting attempts. Maintaining emotional balance through spiritual hygiene practices allows for a more stable and conducive state for shifting.
Energetic purity: A clean energy field is more receptive to the subtle energies involved in reality shifting. It allows for clearer channeling of intentions and easier detachment from the current reality.
Spiritual protection: Good spiritual hygiene includes practices that protect one's energy field. This is crucial during shifting attempts, as it helps prevent interference from unwanted energies habits and so on...
Intuition and guidance: A spiritually clean state enhances one's connection to inner guidance and intuition. This can be invaluable during shifting, helping navigate the process and make decisions aligned with one's highest good.
Belief and intention amplification: Spiritual hygiene practices often involve affirmations, visualizations, and intention-setting. These reinforce the belief in one's ability to shift and amplify the power of intentions, both critical factors in successful shifts.
Energetic flexibility: Regular spiritual cleansing increases one's energetic flexibility, making it easier to adapt to the vibrations of different realities and facilitating smoother transitions during shifting attempts.
Subconscious alignment: Many spiritual hygiene practices work on a subconscious level, helping to align deeper parts of the psyche with the conscious desire to shift. This internal harmony can significantly enhance shifting success.
Resilience and perseverance: The discipline cultivated through consistent spiritual hygiene practices builds mental and emotional resilience. This is crucial for persevering through challenges or initial unsuccessful attempts in your reality shifting journey. It can help you fights against negatives habits ,thoughts and allow you to break through and not to give up.
In essence, spiritual hygiene creates an optimal internal environment for reality shifting. It clears obstacles, enhances necessary skills, and aligns one's entire being with the goal of shifting. By maintaining a high standard of spiritual cleanliness, practitioners of reality shifting can significantly increase their chances of success, enjoy more vivid and controlled experiences, and navigate the process with greater ease and safety.
Moreover, the benefits of spiritual hygiene extend beyond just facilitating successful shifts. It also helps in integrating shifting experiences, processing the insights gained from different realities, and maintaining overall well-being throughout one's shifting journey. As such, spiritual hygiene should be considered a fundamental and ongoing practice for anyone seriously engaged in reality shifting.
For exemple this is what happened in 2020. Rememeber when people told you to drink water clean your room take a shower etc... That was exemples of spiritual Hygiene .Theres tons of ways to do it but those where somme common exemples that people did you didnt have to follow them by the letters but it helped a lot of people.
II. Practices for Maintaining Spiritual Hygiene
A. Cleansing rituals and techniques
Maintaining spiritual hygiene requires regular cleansing practices to remove energetic debris, reset one's vibration, and create a clean slate for reality shifting. Here are some effective cleansing rituals and techniques:
Smudging: This ancient practice involves burning sacred herbs like sage , palo santo (White Sage and Palo Santo are cultural appropriation), or cedar to cleanse spaces and auras. The smoke is believed to attach to negative energies and carry them away as it dissipates.
Salt baths: Soaking in a bath with sea salt or Epsom salt can draw out and absorb negative energies and toxins from the body and aura. Adding essential oils can enhance the cleansing effect.
Visualization meditation: Imagine a bright white or golden light flowing through your body, cleansing every cell and your entire energy field. Visualize negative energies being washed away or transmuted into positive light.
Sound cleansing: Use singing bowls, bells, or specific frequencies (like 528 Hz) to cleanse your energy field. The vibrations help break up stagnant energies and realign your personal frequency.
Breathwork: Practices like holotropic breathwork can help clear energetic blockages and oxygenate the body, promoting a sense of lightness and clarity.
Crystal cleansing: Use crystals like clear quartz or black tourmaline to absorb negative energies. Pass them through your aura or place them on specific body parts to draw out unwanted energies.
Energy combing: Visualize or use your hands to "comb" through your aura, removing any stuck or tangled energies.
Grounding exercises: Connect with the earth's energy through barefoot walking, hugging trees, or visualizing roots growing from your feet into the earth. This will help you ground yourself which is key to prevent spiritual psychosis.
Chakra balancing: Focus on each chakra, visualizing it spinning cleanly and brightly, removing any blockages or imbalances.
Journaling and emotional release: Write out negative thoughts or emotions to acknowledge and release them from your energetic system.
Shadow Work : Arguably the best method of spiritual hygiene out there it invovles digging deep inside yourself in order to incover part of yourself that may cause issues or explain why you act the way that you act.If there is a question you feel like it makes you feel weird or that you are trying to dodge it that means that it is where you should dig.
B. Ongoing maintenance of spiritual purity
While periodic deep cleansing is important, maintaining spiritual hygiene requires consistent daily practices. Here are some techniques for ongoing maintenance:
Morning and evening rituals: Develop a routine that includes practices like meditation, affirmations, or energy clearing to start and end each day with a clean slate.
Mindfulness practice: Stay aware of your thoughts and emotions throughout the day, addressing any negativity promptly to prevent energetic buildup.
Energy shielding: Visualize a protective bubble or shield around your aura each morning to deflect negative energies throughout the day.
Regular meditation: Incorporate daily meditation to quiet the mind, release stress, and maintain a high vibrational state.
Gratitude practice: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude through journaling or mental acknowledgment, which naturally elevates your spiritual vibration.
Nature connection: Spend time in nature regularly to reset your energy and align with the earth's natural rhythms.
Healthy lifestyle choices: Maintain a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep to support overall energetic health.
Conscious consumption: Be mindful of the media, conversations, and environments you expose yourself to, avoiding those that lower your vibration.
Regular energy checks: Perform quick energy scans throughout the day, clearing any accumulated negativity.
Affirmations and positive self-talk: Use affirmations to maintain a positive mindset and high vibration.
Spiritual study: Engage in regular reading or learning about spiritual topics to keep your practice fresh and evolving.
Decluttering: Regularly clear your physical space, as this often corresponds to energetic clearing.
Sacred space maintenance: Keep a dedicated area for spiritual practices, regularly cleansing and energizing this space.
Intention setting: Start each day or week by setting clear, positive intentions for your spiritual hygiene and shifting practices.
Prayer : Prayer can be a form of spiritual hygiene where you pray and visualise or accept that whoever you pray to will grant you what you asked for.
Self Care: "As within,So without . As without So Within" this saying states whatever action taken in the physical or the spiritual will reflect on the other side.So taking care of yourself physically will also help you mentally. I know it is easier said then done but just trying even a litlle bit is enough and can help you tremendously. Things like brushing your teeth, doing skin care lisenting to music that makes you feel good is beneficial.
By incorporating these cleansing rituals and maintenance practices into daily life, reality shifters can create and sustain an optimal energetic environment for their shifting attempts. This consistent attention to spiritual hygiene not only enhances the shifting experience but also contributes to overall well-being, clarity of mind, and spiritual growth. Remember, the key to effective spiritual hygiene is consistency and personalization â finding the practices that resonate most strongly with you and making them a regular part of your routine.
III. Consequences of Poor or Absent Spiritual Hygiene
A. Negative impacts on shifting attempts
Neglecting spiritual hygiene can significantly hinder reality shifting efforts and lead to various undesirable outcomes:
Difficulty in shifting: A cluttered energy field can create barriers to successfully transitioning between realities, making it harder to initiate or maintain a shift (as in grounding yourself in your DR).
Inconsistent or unstable shifts: Poor spiritual hygiene may result in shifts that are brief, unclear, or difficult to control, leading to fragmented or unsatisfying experiences.
Unintended destinations: Without proper energetic alignment, shifters might find themselves in realities that don't match their intentions, potentially leading to confusion or distress.
Increased vulnerability to intrusive thoughts: A lack of mental clarity can amplify doubts, fears, and negative thoughts during shifting attempts, sabotaging the process.
Energetic interference: An unprotected or "dirty" energy field may attract or allow interference from unwanted energies or "entities" (the whole entity thing cannot happen but some shifters claimed it to be so but you quickly realize that it is all in their head and they start going into spiritual psychosis) during shifting, potentially leading to disruptive or even frightening experiences.
Difficulty in maintaining focus: Poor spiritual hygiene can result in a scattered mind, making it challenging to concentrate on shifting intentions or visualizations.
Emotional instability during shifts: Unprocessed emotions or energetic imbalances may surface during shifting attempts, causing emotional turbulence that disrupts the experience.
Difficulty in returning or grounding: Poor spiritual hygiene may complicate the process of returning to the original reality or grounding oneself after a shift.
Increased skepticism and self-doubt: Repeated unsuccessful or unsatisfying shifting attempts due to poor spiritual hygiene may erode confidence in one's ability to shift, creating a negative feedback loop that could cause a snowball effect and scar you for life.
B. Potential risks to personal well-being and energy
Beyond impacting shifting attempts, neglecting spiritual hygiene can have broader consequences for one's overall well-being:
Energy depletion: Constant exposure to negative energies without proper cleansing can lead to chronic fatigue, low motivation, and a general sense of being drained.
Increased susceptibility to negative influences: A weakened energy field may make one more vulnerable to picking up others' negative emotions or thought patterns.
Emotional imbalance: Poor spiritual hygiene can result in mood swings, irritability, or persistent negative emotional states.
Mental fog and confusion: Accumulation of energetic debris can lead to difficulty in concentration, decision-making, and clarity of thought.
Physical manifestations: Prolonged energetic imbalances may eventually manifest as physical discomfort or health issues.
Spiritual disconnection: Neglecting spiritual hygiene can lead to a sense of disconnection from one's higher self, intuition, or spiritual guidance.
Relationship strain: An imbalanced energy field can negatively impact interactions with others, leading to misunderstandings or conflicts.
Increased anxiety or paranoia: Poor energetic boundaries may result in feeling overwhelmed by external energies, leading to heightened anxiety or paranoid thoughts.
Stagnation in personal growth: Neglecting spiritual practices can hinder overall spiritual development and self-awareness.
Negative thought spirals: Without proper cleansing and maintenance, negative thought patterns can become entrenched, leading to a pessimistic outlook on life.
Blocked intuition: An unclear energy field can muffle intuitive signals, making it harder to make decisions aligned with one's highest good.
Increased sensitivity to environmental stressors: Poor spiritual hygiene can make one more susceptible to the negative effects of electromagnetic fields, crowd energies, or other environmental factors.
Difficulty in manifesting desires: Since reality shifting is closely related to manifestation, poor spiritual hygiene can obstruct one's ability to attract positive experiences or outcomes in any reality.
Karmic accumulation: Some believe that neglecting spiritual cleanliness can lead to the accumulation of negative karma, potentially affecting future experiences across realities.
Loss of energetic discernment: Without regular cleansing and maintenance, it may become increasingly difficult to distinguish between one's own energies and external influences.
In addition to the previously mentioned risks, it's crucial to highlight more severe consequences that have affected some shifters who neglected spiritual hygiene:
Mental health misinterpretations: Many individuals who attempted shifting without proper spiritual hygiene have experienced mental distress, leading them to mistakenly attribute these issues to shifting itself. This has resulted in some believing they developed psychosis or other mental health conditions, when in fact, these were consequences of poor energetic maintenance.
Physical and mental scars: Neglecting spiritual hygiene has left some shifters with lasting mental and physical scars. These may manifest as persistent anxiety, unexplained physical sensations, or a lingering sense of disconnection from their original reality.
Loss of faith in shifting: Due to negative experiences stemming from poor spiritual hygiene, some practitioners have erroneously concluded that shifting is "fake" or dangerous, abandoning the practice altogether.
Energetic attachments: Some shifters have reported feeling like they've brought back unwanted energetic attachments or entities from other realities, leading to persistent feelings of being watched or influenced by external forces.
Reality bleed-through: Poor boundaries between realities, caused by inadequate spiritual hygiene, have led to some shifters experiencing unsettling "bleed-through" effects, where elements of other realities intrude into their daily life.(These are nothing more than extreamly vivid hallucinations and at this point please seek help this is not normal at all).
Difficulty in maintaining a stable sense of self: Some practitioners have struggled with identity issues after shifting, finding it hard to reconcile their experiences across different realities. This is often exacerbated by poor spiritual hygiene practices.
Chronic fatigue and energy depletion: Many shifters have reported feeling constantly drained, unable to shake off fatigue even with adequate physical rest, due to energetic imbalances.(and again you are not suppoised to feel exhausted or tired when you shift back to your CR/OR considering that it is not that version of you who did all those things but your DR self not your OR self by logic it shoudnt and cannot happen)
Increased sensitivity to negative energies: Some individuals have developed hypersensitivity to energies around them, finding it overwhelming to be in crowded places or around certain individuals.
Nightmares and sleep disturbances: Poor spiritual hygiene has led to some shifters experiencing persistent nightmares or feeling like they're involuntarily shifting during sleep, disrupting their rest and daily functioning.
Difficulty in grounding: Some practitioners have found it challenging to fully "return" to their CR (current reality) or feel grounded in daily life, leading to a persistent feeling of dissociation.
It's important to emphasize that these negative experiences are not inherent to the practice of reality shifting itself, but rather consequences of neglecting proper spiritual hygiene. Shifting, being a spiritual practice, requires the same level of care and maintenance as any other spiritual or energetic work. Just as a healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, maintaining spiritual hygiene is vital for a healthy shifting practice and overall well-being.
By understanding these potential risks and the importance of spiritual hygiene, practitioners can approach reality shifting more responsibly and safely. This awareness can help prevent negative experiences and misconceptions about shifting, allowing individuals to explore this practice in a balanced and beneficial manner.
If you do not beleive me do it yourself. As in do the research look at the articles testimonies and story time from "ex-shifters". You will soon realize that it all stems for a poor or non existant spiritual hygiene that's what fucked them up.Not Shifting, they shot themselves in the foot.
Conlcusion :
Reality shifting, a practice of consciously transferring awareness to alternate realities, relies heavily on proper spiritual hygiene. This concept encompasses techniques for maintaining energetic cleanliness and balance, which are crucial for successful shifting experiences and overall well-being.
Spiritual hygiene in shifting involves regular cleansing rituals, such as smudging, meditation, and energy work, as well as ongoing practices like mindfulness, grounding, and energy protection. These techniques create an optimal internal environment for shifting by clearing energetic debris, enhancing focus, and aligning one's vibration with desired realities.
Neglecting spiritual hygiene can lead to significant challenges, including difficulty in shifting, unstable experiences, and potential risks to mental and physical health. Some practitioners have mistakenly attributed negative effects of poor spiritual hygiene to shifting itself, leading to misconceptions about the practice. By understanding and prioritizing spiritual hygiene, shifters can enhance their experiences, prevent negative outcomes, and foster holistic well-being across all realities they encounter.
In essence, spiritual hygiene is not just a supplementary aspect of reality shifting, but a fundamental component that ensures safe, enriching, and transformative experiences. As the practice of reality shifting continues to evolve, emphasizing the importance of spiritual hygiene will be crucial in creating a responsible and rewarding approach to this profound spiritual journey.
