What current conflicts does your character face?

As a young girl, Irina didn’t understand why her brothers were always put first other than the fact that they were older.  She was just as smart, just as strong, and just as intuitive as they were. They were siblings were they not? Then why does she often get told to sit down and watch or embroider some flowers? How was this fair? These were beneath her, the grand duchess wailed, refusing to be treated as such and would not stop her cries until she got what she wanted which was to have the same education as her brothers. She truly was her mother’s daughter people whispered seeing how ambitious and assertive the grand duchess was. Her chin was always held high and knew exactly what she wanted which people saw as intimidating. Irina felt like she needed to put this façade up to be taken seriously even with in her family. It becomes a conflict because at one point it gets tiring. It’s exhausting to put such a cold and hard front but she knows she has to in order for her to survive her in brother’s court— or anywhere for that matter. She had to be strong in Swedish court, establish that she is more than just the youngest prince’s wife. Now that he has passed, Irina continues to fight for her place but now back in Russian court, proving herself to be important but because she’s female and a woman, it makes it a little a harder. She has dreams for herself and for her beloved Russia, which her family has helped build and fortify. Sometimes she wonders is it all worth it? This is what she asks herself continuously.

What are some potential plotlines you are interested in pursuing?

It was always about family for Irina. The things she does, the things she wants to achieve is all for the Rurik family name. Despite her pride, she knew that a marriage outside of Russia was her destiny to which she gracefully accepted to keep Russia’s neighbor, Sweden, as an ally. It pained her greatly to be away from her family but she did it with no complains. Now a widow, she knows that her place is to be a mother to her children and guardian to her eldest son who will inherit his father’s lands however there is still that itch, a desire to more than that, a desire for power. Which was only soothed when her mother called her back to Russian court shortly after his death. She aides her brothers as a councilor, representative, and as a mediator— heavens know what they’ll do to each other. The grand duchess knows that the tsarina is still getting to know the Russian court and by the order of her mother, she helps the French woman assimilate into Russian customs despite of her not so subtle ways. She helps the queen mother oversee and run the court and household. Now in Lisbon, her one goal is to see her youngest sister married. Irina wants to help oversee her betrothal and make sure it’s as powerful as hers to both make Russia stronger but to toughen up her sister as well. In short, Irina finds ways to become indispensible to her brothers, make them see that they need her. She cannot be their equal; She can never be tsarina, no, but she vows to see to it that a Rurik will always be on the Russian throne no matter what.

Nobody needed to tell Irina that the Russian court was initially mildly disappointed that the 3rd Rurik child was female. She could see it in their eyes that they had hoped she was a boy. The grand duchess was just as disappointed as they were too. Why must she have to wail and fight for her right to be as educated and skilled as her older brothers? It was not becoming of a grand duchess to learn such masculine activities such riding and archery, they said. But Irina simply did not take no for an answer. She learned these skills, along with languages, politics, and literature, wanting only to be taught the same things as her brothers. Why was she not allowed to have the same education? She was never going to be tsarina anyway, a young Irina argued. Although her brothers were still prioritized, she made sure she excelled to prove to everyone that she was just as capable as them. Deep down the eldest grand duchess envied her brothers; she envied how everything was much easier for them whilst she had to throw a tantrum before being heard.

Assertive and astute, these were attributes she learned from her mother that, to this day, has been engraved into her psyche. Her pride is her strength but it can easily be turned into hubris, which will one day either be the cause of her success or her ruination. If she wants something, she must fight for it. This, in turn, has somehow made her as cold as the snow that falls on Russia, her personality forming around the ideology of being a fighter. Prince Magnus of Sweden, duke of värmland was the youngest brother of the-then King of Sweden. His marriage to Irina kept the Swedish at bay from invading Russia’s territories. The grand duchess wouldn’t say she was exactly thrilled with the match but she didn’t oppose it either. It was commanded and she simply had to comply; she didn’t have much of a choice anyway. She was prepared for her new life away from Russia and performed her duties as a wife, bearing the prince 3 children namely: Sveinn, Astrid, and Kjell. However, the prince died in battle shortly after the birth of their 3rd child. They were only married for 6 years. His death devastated Irina greatly. Though since she bore him children, they get to keep their father’s lands. The 1st year she spent in Sweden after her husband’s passing was very difficult. When her mother called her back to Russia, she hesitated at first but later came home, bringing her children with her. She found strength being in her homeland, and oddly enough, renewed vigour and a newfound purpose.

Avery is five years old and she has just been left behind at a strange place. Her father walked her up to the door but didn't stay. He was crying. She doesn't know why. Her mother was in the car too busy applying the red lipstick she adored more than anything. She didn't even say goodbye. Her father kissed her head, hugged her and said good bye. Their car is gone now and there is no answer from the door. Avery knocks again like her father told her. Moments later a woman opens the door. She looks tired. She smiles down at Avery and says, "Ah, I've been expecting you child. Come in come in." And Avery does.

Avery now knows her parents are not returning for her. It's been eight months and she asks Oba constantly where they are. Oba doesn't say much about the topic. Oba is a good friend of her father's. He sees her as family and so does Avery. She is Auntie Oba. And she takes care of her. Avery is home schooled, she is taught many subjects by Oba but music and art are her favorite. Oba is a college professor and an online professor for foreign students. She teaches English, Literature, and a Creative writing course at the university. Avery attends those courses some nights and only one class catches her eye.... the one on one music class.

Avery is now 17 and Oba wants to introduce her to the music professor. Oba sees potential in Avery and she wants to show her colleague. The man is in his mid 40s now and he is a stern man. He watches Avery perform, eyes on her like a hawk. When she is done Oba asks what he thought of her. He scratches his beard and nods. A twinkle in Oba's eyes, he likes what he hears. Tells her and Oba that she has talent, with his teaching and guidance he can make her a star. They practice every Wednesday.

Oba had enrolled her in high school. Avery has many friends there. But something happened. She had gotten into a fight. And the pain felt good. It satisfied an urge she always had deep down inside her. An urge for punishment. She had obliviously been bad why else would her parents leave her. Never calling or writing. No birthday cards. No Christmas gifts. Only a check for Oba to help take care of her. And she does. Avery feels guilty for loving the pain. Her life isnt bad. But the need to be punished is greater than the happiness she feels in small amounts. Thinking about the things she has done to herself she knows deep down she would disappoint Oba and she cant do that. Not after everything she has done for her. She cant be selfish no she wouldn't be.

Avery has gotten into another fight. With the school's star quarterback. He was quick on his feet and offered to do detention with her by cleaning the bathrooms and gym. In return he would bring home the trophy the principal has always wanted. Smooth talker Liam was. He took avery down a dangerous road. One she would keep from her Oba and professor. Her parents no longer send money and Oba has been working less and less. She is sick some days and cannot get out of bed. Her trash is filled with bloodstained tissues. And Avery fears the worse. Liam says the club pays well for the winner. He won 200$ the other night. Avery cant pass it up. Tonight they meet at midnight.

Its been 3 weeks and Avery has a broken nose. She doesn't explain to Oba why and Oba hopes she isnt getting into fights at school. Avery assures her she isnt and its left at that. Some night Avery can hear Oba crying. She's scared. She prays to god to help her. To help her for the sake of Avery. Because Avery is troubled and is always in fights. She is lost and god is her guiding light. She hears her cry and tells god she isnt strong enough. With a broken heart Avery heads to fight club. Tonight she will win. She will pay for Oba to get better. And then... she'll never fight again.

Avery won. 12k is hers. She arrives home in the morning. When she opens the door Oba is there in the living room. She doesn't look mad or disappointed. She offers the couch to her. Avery sits. Her back hurts, her nose hasn't stopped bleeding, she has cuts and a bite mark somewhere. Oba's eyes are filled with tears. Avery doesn't know where to begin. Where should she start? She doesn't have to Oba opens a rag and lays it on the coffee table. Dread. Oba has found her box cutter and the bloodied rag it was wrapped in. She doesn't want to look at Oba. But oba opens her mouth, avery prepares for a scolding but instead Oba wraps her arms around her. Holds her tightly and whispers "it's ok baby I got you. I got you. Mama's here angel. She's here." And Avery breaks down and cries with Oba.

Oba is in the hospital. She has stage 3 lung cancer and there is nothing she can do to stop it. Time is racing and Avery is afraid of losing the only person who truly loved her. There are days she cant see Oba and it scares her. Her studies are lagging but her professor understands and offers to continue mentoring Avery when she graduates. He had offered her a scholarship. Full ride to the university. She accepts it. There's a month left before she does graduate. But shes scared she won't make it.

Graduation day and Avery looks to the crowd, a sea of faces she doesn't recognize. She feels alone. But her friends are with her. The ceremony goes on for what feels like forever and when it's over the caps are tossed into the air and the stadium is filled with joy and happiness. And then just like that avery's world had ended. Oba is no longer here.

It's been a year and Avery doesnt feel happy anymore. She doesnt feel much at all. She lives with Marceline, Elias, Toby, Dlyan, Cynder, and Sloth in a large home Marcelines father bought for them. She goes to and from college. Works at the 24 hr diner for night shifts. She has also brought home an opossum and everyone loves him. Shes named him clementine and he means the world to her. But lately music no longer means what it use to. But her professor takes her to the dance hall and tells her she will perform songs for the dancers to perform to. And she sees her... an angel on earth. If shes ever seen one. Her bouncy blue hair, green eyes and beautiful figure. Her name is Bonnie and she knows the gang. Avery is tongue tied when she speaks to her. After the class bonnie takes her to dinner. After that bonnie and Avery spend the night together. And once again Avery is happy.

Avery has dropped out of college. And her professor understands her reasoning. He gifts her his violin. He will always be around if she wishes to come back. She hugs him and they part ways. She was never going to perform for her mother. She could never.

It's been almost 5 months since bonnie and her started dating. Her diner job helps keep her busy. But the urge to go and fight comes back. The sign is there when Liam comes to her diner and they catch up. They've raised the money and steaks. It interests her and Liam knows it. He picks her up at midnight and shes back down the rabbit hole... only this time there is no wonderland.

Coming up in 2nd means she has lost. But she has gotten a lot of money. This time almost 15k. This can help with rent and such. When she gets home she showers and breaks down. She cries and feels so alone. And her skin itches. Begs for the blade. And she listens...

Her day off means doing nothing. But today something is different. She goes to the campus and meets bonnie. But someone's with her. A boy her age, shaggy black hair, tall, looks like a punk rocker. Bonnie introduces him to Avery, her girlfriend, avery sees something change in him but he shakes it off and says his name is ben.

Ben comes around when bonnie does. But when she spends time alone with Avery he leaves. But hes always there and avery doesnt like it. She takes bonnie to the diner and they talk. Bonnie agrees it's a bit obsessive but she waves it off saying hes awkward and he doesnt have many friends. Hes trying for the main role of the prince in swan lake. Bonnie will be the black swan. And Avery loves watching her practice. Swan lake is her favorite because bonnie is always the star no matter what she plays. But this year Avery cant take her eyes off Ben...

Ben has backed off. But only because Avery threatened him. They got into it once the ballet was done, after he kissed bonnie during the bows. The look on Bonnie's face. She was scared and nervous. Not only was the kiss unwelcomed what happened next was what really made Avery go insane. Ben pulled a ring out, got down on one knee and loudly asked in front of the theater for Bonnie's hand in marriage. Bonnie had ran away crying. And Avery snapped. Back stage in his dressing room she cornered him and told him to apologize and back the hell off. He only grinned and sneered at her. She didn't like that. But for his sake she didn't hit him. If she did he wouldn't be alive. She wouldnt be able to stop.

In the summer bonnie and her grew closer and ben stopped showing up. The incident behind them now they look forward to the future. Bonnie is moving to New York and Avery is coming with. They move this fall. And Avery has most of her stuff packed. They're laying in the backyard under the setting sky. Ben appears and says hes going to meet the group he can drive them. Avery knows something's wrong but bonnie has agreed already and they're now in the back of his car heading towards Mariah Falls.

It's all a blur. The walk, the gun, the fight.... bonnie.... where is bonnie? Oh right...bonnie is dead. And now she has ben. Injured, broken, lying on the forest floor under the trees and stars. She looms over him and smiles. Revenge is a best dish served now...

For weeks she tortures him. Makes him pay. But hes losing blood. But she cant go back. She'll get arrested he's already told her that. Promises she'll rot in jail. That is until she shows him what shes recorded. Him killing bonnie. They'll probably consider it as self defense because he also attacked her. If she goes back he isnt coming with.

Ben no longer talks, and she is starving. He is dead. And she does what she has to do to survive. She no longer knows the time or day or month. During a thunderstorm a fog rolls in... The fog is thick. She hears singing. Is it bonnie? She heads towards it. But all she sees is a campfire and woods. No bonnie. No ben. Just warmth... and a new start.

Wilder Arayya (OC): Scars

Arayya, aged 3-ish

Arayya is lying on the deck, trying to nap in the last remnants of the sun when Luffy bounds over, landing unceremoniously across her stomach, driving the air from her body.

"Oi, Arayya, I want a story!" He demands, rolling across her, ignoring her coughing and spluttering.

"Argh, no, I'm trying to relax." She says, trying to shove him off of her with no success as his rubber arms loop around her and hold her tight. "Luffy! Get off!"

"Story please!" He says again and Arayya sighs because she knows when there is no point arguing with him (which is most of the time) and she really doesn't have the energy this late in the day.

"Fine, what kind of story do you want?" She asks, relenting as Luffy untangles his limbs from hers and sits back with a grin.

She tries not to flinch when he reaches out and runs a finger down the scar along her forearm. 

"Tell me about how you got all these neat scars!" Luffy asks, missing the pained look that crosses her face at the very personal request. She thinks about saying no, about flat out refusing because she doesn't have to. She could lie and he would never know, wouldn't even question it, but in the end he is her captain. He has never pried before, never questioned her odd abilities or strange appearance. Of all the people, he will judge her the least. She hopes.

"It's not a happy story," She warns him. "You still wanna hear it?" 

"Mhmm." The captain nods. And Arayya mirrors the action, taking a deep breath to gather her thoughts, then she begins.

"Once upon a time there as a woman, a beautiful woman, the daughter of a rich and powerful nobleman. She fell in love with a young pirate who visited her island and the two of them ran away together - much to the anger of her father who wanted his daughter to marry for political gain, to further his position," Arayya began, adjusting her position. "But the two of them were in love and so they went against his wishes. It did not take long before the young woman fell pregnant and when she gave birth to a healthy baby girl the Pirate was over the moon. His little girl had her mothers looks, but everyone agreed that she had her fathers eyes."

"What colour were her eyes?" Luffy asks, rocking back and forth, eager to hear more.

"Does it matter? I don't know, blue?" Arayya shrugs, because she doesn't know - doesnt remember - and continues. "They lived happily together for a few years, watching their daughter grow - but then the Pirate had to leave, he had to continue his journey to make his mark on the world. The young woman continued to raise their daughter alone, but she struggled. Without the support and passion of her lover she grew despondent with the life of a peasant, her small house, no servants, having to do everything herself and the lack of beautiful things she had grown used to in her earlier life. The young woman returned to her father and begged him to take them back. He said he would, but that she would have to give up her child. Without the child her could pretend his daughter had not disobeyed him, could still find her a good marriage. So she had to make a choice."  

"But she didn't go back, right?" Luffy asks, tilting his head to one side. "She didn't leave the girl?"

"Stop interrupting and I'll tell you." Arayya huffs, rolling her eyes.

"The woman told herself that with the child they would both be miserable, at least it she gave the girl up she could be happy - so the woman took her daughter, now some three years old, and left her in the care of an orphanage in the lesser part of the city. She told the girl to never speak her birth name to anyone, that if she did something very bad would happen to her, to her mother and to her Pirate father. And so, terrified, the girl never said her name aloud ever again, tried to forget it for the sake of the family that abandoned her." Arayya explained, clamping a hand over Luffy's mouth as she saw him about to protest. "I told you it wasn't a happy story! Don't butt in." 

The captain pouted but kept quiet, so she continued. 

"The orphanage was not a kind place. Often there was not enough food or bedding to go around all the children and the older boys and girls would take what they wanted from the younger to survive. The girl would likely have died it that first year had she not had the luck of befriending an older boy," Arayya explained, shifting again. "The boy made sure she got her cut of food, kept her warm and clothed and in turn she loved him as a brother." 

Luffy smiles at this, remembering his own childhood with his brothers. Arayya feels her heart pinch at his expression and carries on.

"A man came to the orphanage one day and showed interest in adopting the girl, now five years old - but she would not be separated from her brother. The man begrudgingly agreed to take both children, so together they left the orphanage behind and traveled with the man to their new home," Arayya pauses as she watches Luffy's grin, and debates reminding him that this is not a happy story. "When they arrived at their new home, a number of islands away from their places of birth, they were amazed to find a huge mansion with acres of ground to play in. The man promised they would have time to explore the grounds of the estate later, that first they must go to their rooms. The two children did not realise that they would not be allowed outside again for many years."

"Why wouldn't they be allowed outside if there was all this space?" Luffy asks, puzzled. She ignores him.

"It becomes clear to the girl and boy very quickly that the man did not want children, but soldiers. They find out that they are not the only children residing in the mansion, that there are at least twenty other kids there, all of them orphans, all children that would not be missed if something happened to them," Arayya says, and she tries very hard to keep the bitterness from her voice. "What follows in the next few years for the two children is constant training, daily sessions to hone their killing skills. The man shaves their hair and tattoos the children at the base of their skulls. The girl receives the tattoo of zero-three-nine. The boy receives zero-four-zero. They undergo experiments and surgeries to enhance their minds and bodies. The strengthening of their bones by bonding them with metal, their muscles, their ability to heal, their metabolism, their strength, their stamina, their hearing... their eyesight."

The smile has slipped off of Luffy's face. Arayya debates stopping. He gets it now, he doesnt need to hear the rest but she hasn't told this story to anyone ever before, and she isn't sure she can stop.

"They took her eyes, Luffy." Arayya says quietly, bringing a hand up to touch the scar just below her left eye. She knows that if he looks he will see the implants, the metal that runs through her body and stained her eyes silver.

Luffy wiggles closer, leaning against for comfort her but keeping quiet. Arayya carries on.

"The scientists didn't care about the pain they caused the children, often they preformed their experiments without the use of anesthesia, and they layered scars upon scars until there was no hope of healing. Many of the other children went mad from the torture - but not the girl and the boy. They stayed together and he told her stories to distract her when the pain became too much. Grand tales of the adventures they would have when they were free. She fell in love with those stories. They became her lifeline, her escape. She dreamed of them, day and night and the thought of that freedom."

"And they did get free, didn't they?" Luffy asks, quietly now. The sun has set completely now, bathing them in darkness broken only by the sporadic lights on the deck of the ship.

"In a way, I suppose. When the girl was fourteen there was an... incident. The cells they were housed in malfunctioned and all the children got out, even the crazy ones," Arayya explained. "It was carnage. A bloodbath. You can't train people to be killers against their will and then not expect them to turn on you at the first chance they get. But the boy and the girl weren't interested in revenge, they just wanted to get out. And they tried, but there were guards to fight, the scientists, the man, the other children and both of them got injured."

"But they were okay?" Luffy asks, a sort of desperation creeping into his voice. He doesnt like this story at all.

"The boy told the girl to go, to get as far away as possible and that he would find her as soon as he made sure no one followed them. She didn't want to leave him, but he had never lied to her before and she was so scared at being put back in the cage," Arayya says, running a hand down her face. "So she ran. She ran for days, she swam, then ran some more, always with the thought in the back of her mind that he would find her. But he never did. How could he?"

Arayya shakes her head. "The girl has never forgiven herself for leaving him. The first person to ever truly care for her. To love her, just for who she was. She knows that she should have been the one to stay behind. She has lived with that for many years, along with the guilt that - if she hadn't been so insistent on not being separated from her brother at the orphanage - he would have never suffered in the first place." 

They sit in silence for a long time, Luffys hand finding hers, their fingers twining together.

"What was her brothers name? Luffy asks into the quiet.

Arayya sighs, and says a name she hasn't spoken in almost as long as the one she was given at birth.

"His name was Taran."

I put the cool glass against my forehead. I was extremely hungover, and being in this position isn’t good for me, but nor did I care. Did I have a problem? Yes, but when you’re feeling the pain that I am feeling, you just need to numb it.

I stared at the newest form of papers that basically called me an unfit mother, and that Olivia wanted to terminate my rights to my son and take him away from me. We’ve been going for months back in forth, and I guess now we actually have court because the papers are here.  

I honestly cant believe this bitch. She took Jeremiah, but I refuse for her to take away Aiden. He was the only reason why I got up in the morning. 

Okay, did I leave him with Jeremiah once I knew his marriage with Olivia was finished. Yes, because I knew that I had one upped her, once and for all. I broke up her marriage, had his baby but I couldn’t take the pressure of him always choosing them so I left. I swear I was gonna come back. But I guess I didn’t come back fast enough

I sniffled, did I truly want Aiden? I want him, as long as Jeremiah came with him. I didn’t care about his other children, in fact, I hated them. But I wanted Jeremiah. I wanted him to love and hold me again like we used to.

“What are you looking at?” I looked up to see my boyfriend King, naked, standing in the doorway to our kitchen.

I shrugged, “Papers from my ex, claiming I’m unfit and terminating my rights to my son.”

I knew my plan was bullet-proof. Fight long enough for them to pay child support for Aiden, take it and spend it on my man. Send Aiden back to them and collect on the payments.  

“Baby, they are married.” He spoke showing me the paperwork, and indeed they were.

“WHAT!” I screamed snatching the papers from him, but I took my voice down a few octaves, I didn’t want daddy to be mad at me, or see how upset I really was.

I smiled, and backed away from him, going to the drawer next to him. Pulling out a bag of our favorite white powder, cocaine.

I needed her to understand where I was coming from, and I knew she was the person to help  

“I need help. I want kids. and I want kids with Rose.” sadness, was obvious within my own voice and apparent enough for Liv to catch on

I could tell she was worried about my mindset behind this conversation, but I needed to reassure her that everything was fine.

“I’m fine. I just want help looking for a surrogate, I want to be with Rose forever and I want our family to grow.”

She smiled at me, “Is this Rose’s idea?”

I shook my head, “No, she hasn’t brought up children since the hospital, and back then, you were in a coma, and everything was going wrong for our entire family. I just want this really bad and I want to give her options so that she knows I’m serious about it.”

“Are you gonna be okay if she told you no?” She quizzed

I hadn’t really thought about it, “She’s not gonna say no, she’s gonna be thrilled about it. I promise. We want this Liv.”

She smiled brightly, “Look at my little brother growing up!! Of course I’ll help you. I know some of the best adoption/ surrogacy agencies and lawyers out there. Now if only we can get Lei to think like this.” she said brushing her hair out of her face.

I started to laugh, but immediately stopped when I saw that big ass rock on her finger. She noticed where my attention had gone and she tried to hid it, but it was too late.

“Rack- Cmon dont over react.” She spoke calmly

She sighed, “No, we’re married. We got married in secret and last I checked, one of my daddies was dead and the other was in New York.”

They thought it would be a good idea, since, they are in therapy that Mason and I should go to it as well. I guess they’re afraid we’ll be messed up like them.

She sighed, “How’s Dominique.”

I rolled my eyes. “You mean Andrea?”

“Why do you insist on calling her Andrea, when your family calls her Dominique? She is your sister”

Kicking my legs, I felt the tears coming when talking bout this topic,

“My baby brother that died, his name was Dominique. I refuse to call her that. Her name is Andrea, and she isn’t my sister.”

I hate talking about my feelings. Like why cant I just not like that baby, and it be the end of it? Everyone wants to make a big deal out of me not liking it. It’s not like i set her on fire or anything, I thought about it though. But Daddy and Mommy would send me where Katie was and I refuse.

“Can we not talk about her. Can we talk about anything else.”

“Sure. How would you feel if your parents got back together?”  

I shrugged, “Doesnt matter to me if they do or don’t.”

“If Andrea wasn’t involved?”

“I would be excited. I could live with my parents and my brother. They could have other kids and I would be fine. Like how I was when I was a baby.”

“But Andrea is involved, so how would you feel.”

“I said, I wouldn’t care. Either way. Long as they keep Andrea away from me. I’m fine.”

“Why do you not like your sister?”

I looked out the window, it was raining and I like rain. Especially when it’s hot. It fit my mood. Angry, but sad.

“I dont care for the baby. Not everyone likes babies, so why is it a big deal?”

I wanted to go play in the rain, the pitter patter sound it makes on the window, typically gives me joy. I like how at the end of each rainstorm there’s a rainbow.

I cut off the doctor, noticing the time was almost over. But I still looked out the big glass windows

As soon as I asked that, the question left in the air, because thankfully, our session was completely over.

Having a baby is exhausting. I love Zoey, I do. but chile. She is a handful. I mean he father helps but its been little by little. Especially since he got married to Eva.  

I dont have a problem with his wife, but it seems that she may have a problem with me. At first, Zoey and I were invited to the wedding. Then my invite was rescinded and Zoey could go, but they knew she wasn’t going without me, so she didn’t get to be apart of her father’s wedding. I mean that weekend she ended up getting really sick and they couldn’t go on their honeymoon so maybe it serves her right.

I tried to have multiple talks with her but she ended up just telling me that everything was fine. I don’t know, and I don’t have the energy to care. Long as she treats my daughter with respect, I could care less if she treated me any kind of way.

Many people have asked me if I have feelings for Zoey’s father, and the answer is no. We had a one night stand that turned into our daughter. Not feelings. I don’t want to date, because I don’t want the horrible experience that I had with Vincent ever again.

Yes, I do know that no one will ever do what he did. But it was traumatizing. I’m happy with Zoey and with the life I’m trying to build for her.

“Can you get out of your thoughts please Liz?”  Kam called out to me

We were having our weekly family dinner. This time, it so happened to be at my townhouse. Everyones kids were playing in the backyard. Zoey and Dominique were playing together in the playpen right by the kitchen. Girls in the kitchen and boys outside on the grill. Our traditions.

“Sorry. Lot of thinking.” I spoke.

“How are you though Lizzie?” Lei’Lani spoke up

I cleared my throat, “I’m okay, the doctor says that I need to keep with my medicine and exercising. Thank you all for helping me out with Zo”

“No problem, That’s what family is for” Rosie smiled.

I was diagnosed with Postpartum depression after have Zoey. I would randomly cry, I wouldn’t eat for weeks, somedays I couldn’t even hold my own daughter. That’s when Giselle and Liv recognized the signs as they had been through it as well, and we went to the doctor.

“I just want to be the best mom that I can be for my daughter, and I honestly feel like I’m loosing it all.”  

Gi came up and hugged me. “Listen, you know I got you no matter what. You are that best mom that you can be for your daughter.”

I smiled at the encouraging words that my sister gave to me.

After the cookout, everyone left except Olivia and Giselle. Their kids and Dom and J went home to settle them and put them to bed while Liv and Gi stayed to help put down Zo and clean up my house.

“So, does Jaxon and Eva help around with Zoey?” Liv asked

“Not really, it’s all me. Basically.” I sighed

“Do you have an agreement with a mediator about the living conditions of Zoey as she grows older? Liv asked again

I sighed, “No, do you think I need one?”

“We aren’t trying to pressure you into anything Liz, but its obvious that you need help and Jax is her father and Eva is her step mother, they need to help no matter what.” Gi spoke concerned

I mean she was right, we all did need to sit down and go over everything for Zoey’s life because I cant continue to ask and not get a response. I want to get back to normal, and they need to pitch in.

“How are y’all? We’ve all been really busy these last few months.”

They both ended up shrugging,

“It’s been a journey since I got shot by Katie, I still have migraines, but I love being with Jeremiah and the kids, the court case is coming up and i have no idea which way it’s going to go. I want it to go our way, but if it doesn’t, Aiden is still my son.” Liv smiled

“You know I’m praying for you, I hope it goes our way, and that bitch can get out of our life forever.” i spoke.

“Amen, but speaking of bitches, how’s Katie?” Liv snickered.

“Annoying as hell, everything Dom wants for Nique, Katie just declines, and wont allow but then as soon as we involve her mother, she acts like its the greatest idea ever. I wish this bitch would be out of our lives forever.” Gi spoke with disdain.

“Would you adopt Dominique, Gi?” Liv asked.

“I mean, technically, Katie has no rights being that she’s in jail. The papers for her adoption are already drawn up for me. I just have to sign them.”

“So what’s holding you up?” I asked

“I want to make sure Dominic and I are square and good. I don’t want to adopt her and then we end up getting divorced and now we have to split three kids. I just want to make sure our foundation is solid you know?”

“I think you’re pretty good on solid ground, you haven’t left since moving back in.” I said

“I know, but we aren’t perfect, and we have a lot to talk about. But-“

Liv cut her off, irritated,

“Youre wasting precious time and you are making excuses. Do you or do you not still love Dom.”

“I do.” She said confidently

“Are you falling back in love with him?” I asked

She blushed, “I am.”

“So what’s the hold up?” I asked with Liv agreeing

“I’m waiting for the ball to drop. I’m waiting for something bad to happen.” She spoke

Both Liv and I looked confused because they’re good, so whats the matter.

“Look, daddy kept us apart, then vincent, then katie. I just I don’t think I could take it if he was taken from me again. I just i’m taking it slow because I want to be with him for the rest of my life, but I don’t want anything bad to happen.” She rambled on.

“You can’t wait anymore Gi, we all know life is too short, You have to go for your happiness, you aren’t the broken-hearted girl anymore. You’re a grown ass woman with 3 kids and a man who loves her unconditionally.” Liv encouraged her.

“I know. But-“

“But nothing. You love Dom and he loves you. Stop being a pussy.” I laughed.

“Fine I wont but I need you to also stop being a pussy and stand up to Jaxon. You didn’t create Zo-zo by yourself.Okay?” She reassured me.

I nodded, I love my cousin and my sister. Without them, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today, they’re literally my best friends and I know I’m the same for them. Listening to all that we’ve been through and how messed up we used to be, we’ve overcame so much. We’ve definitely grown into the women that my momma raised and she would be so proud of us.

I love the way candles and a fire in the fireplace make everything so cozy. I love the glow of twinkling lights, white and colored, just casting the most beautiful and dreamy cast on the neighborhood. He was wounded from his previous marriage but he was.. so worth mending. However, we were long distance and he just wasn’t able to do that. He needed more than I was able to offer him at the time.

OK so relationship is such a widely defined word. I’m going to describe the last person I was personally committed to. He was my other half. He was pretty vain and conceited when I first got to know him. Constantly concerned with his work and nothing but his work. However, along the years he developed into the most kind, generous, patient, extremely loving man. He changed all sorts of his former ways. He began investing in his character and taking the time to better himself. It was so incredible to watch. We created a bond where he was my world. Dinner and Songs

Summary: Bilbo and Belrén bond over food making and Dwalin falls even more in love with their Burglar.

Part 1, Part 2

As promised, Bilbo and Belrén sat during dinner and talked out a menu for Thorin.

The company and Dís looked on in astonishment as both women talked food and everything in between as if they have known each other their entire lives. Thorin looked on and had to stop himself from starring at Bilbo who sat beside Belrén all rosy cheeked and lively as they laughed about this and that.

'How did I miss her so blatantly?' He thought as he looked on in wonder and disappointment.

"Thank you so much for your help my lady," Belrén said as she put the parchment away.

Bilbo smiled brightly at the dam and said, "It is no trouble at all! In the Shire it is custom for the lady hobbit being courted to cook for him as part of the courtship. This way the lady has the chance experiment her recipes on him to see what he likes and also find some common ground with his mother to learn her recipes for her future husband."

Belrén looked at her fascinated.

"Did you cook for someone you liked like that?" She asked curiously.

Bilbo's smile faded slowly and she shook her head.

"No. I'm not considered a...good match for a gentle-hobbit," She said sadly.

The outrage could be heard from all corners of the table.

"How could you not be!?" Dwalin bellowed harshly clearly angered by this.

"Bear in mind, Shire life is one of blissful ignorance. We lead our peaceful quiet lives smoking, drinking, eating, celebrating and just enjoying life's bountiful gifts to the fullest. The idea of straying or disturbing that way of life will most likely be considered to be 'improper,'" Bilbo said her voice even, "But my mother's family the Tooks, are the only family in the Shire that go on to venture beyond our borders and beyond often gone for months on their adventures. I remember my gran telling me the story of how one of our family fell in love with one of the big folk and only came to the Shire to visit! I was amazed. As a faunt it was my dream to one day see all the corners of Middle Earth and then on. My mother herself took it upon herself to tell me of her time with the Elves of Rivendell and of the Lord that lives there. But unlike my mother, I had a wilder streak to me that no single adventure could cure...And I have to admit that before you haggle of wild wargs crashed through my door and carried me that I wasn't really living but going through the motions of living. My parents are gone, and while my Took family has a large wealth and high standing neither can save me from the ridicule of the gossip of those in the Shire. Mad Spinster Baggins they called me...and then there's the Sacksville-Bagginses always trying to take my home from me..."

Bilbo drifted off and sad smile appeared on her face.

"What's wrong little one?" Dís asked as she made her way to Bilbo.

"About a week before you lot came the Baggins side of my family, my father's side, knocked on my door and told me that since it was highly unlikely I would be married, I had no real reason to stay in Bag End. I was mortified, my family was evicting me from the only home I had ever known because of what they thought and believed to be true, "Your naught but a spinster at this point Bilbo there is not point in a single hobbit living in a smial of this size" they said all with twisted self-assured and satisfied smiles," Tears fell from her eyes, "My grandfather tried to get them to see reason and leave me be but to no avail. He and my uncles helped me pack up all of Bag End and since mother kept her friends in Rivendell Lord Elrond was kind enough to offer to store my belongings until I was situated somewhere else if not I was always welcome to live there."

There wasn't a dry eye on that table. The lot of dwarrow looked on at their burglar and each felt a pang of guilt at how they remembered treating her at the very beginning of their journey. She had gone through so much and to top it all off she had to deal with the judgement of Dwarrow she barely knew and vice-versa.

"Why did you never say anything?" Thorin asked voice thick with emotion.

Bilbo gave a sad chuckle and said, "I was already being treated a certain way for not being what you expected, I didn't need anymore on my plate."

The company all looked at each other in shock.

"Thats why you had this look when you promised to get us the mountain back," Ori said knowingly.

"What do you mean," Dori asked his youngest brother.

"Before we were chased to the cliffs by the orc pack after we escaped the goblin's cave, Bilbo promised to get the mountain back...her eyes were sad as she said it," Ori said knowingly.

Thorin blanched as he recalled what he had said before she showed up.

Dís looked to Thorin and with one of the spoons hit him over the head.

"OW!" he yelped.

"You were your charming self weren't you?" She asked angrily.

"Dís please its in the past," Bilbo said trying to calm the fiery dwarrowdam.

"It doesnt matter," she said still clearly angry at her brother.

"No, it doesn't. What matters is that we are here and the mountain has been reclaimed," Bilbo said calmly.

Dís huffed but nodded, "You're lucky my nan'ith is forgiving Thorin."

Thorin froze at what Dís called Bilbo.

Bilbo too froze understanding the meaning behind the word after Bifur called her that.

"Truly?" Bilbo asked her voice thick with tears.

Dís smiled warmly and tapped her forehead with Bilbo's.

"Whether or not you marry into my family, you are the best sister I could have ever gained," Dís said a gentle and loving smile on her features.

Bilbo nodded and whispered, "I did say that no matter what we are family."

Bifur let a demanding grunt out and Bofur fell on his ass laughing.

Dís gave her own warm chuckle and said, "It seems you have also been claimed by another clan as family."

Bilbo looked to a suddenly shy Bifur and made her way over to him.

"Really?" She asked eyes wide.

Bifur nodded gently and tapped his forehead with hers.

The company let a loud cheer out and Balin made a point of having adopting and naming papers prepared and excused himself from the table.

Belrén gave Bilbo a fond smile and knew she'd like the hobbit more than she thought.

The dam was no fool, she knew that Bilbo had had feeling for Thorin and while a part of her wanted to be outraged at the thought, she knew that there was more to the hobbit than met the eye. Plus it wasn't all the hobbit's fault. She had the inkling that Bilbo's feelings for Thorin grew during their journey to reclaim the mountain. What surprised her was when Thorin began courting her and not Bilbo. Dwarves can be more than a little thick headed so she also had a suspicion that Thorin didnt even realize he has or had feelings for Bilbo.

'No matter, Bilbo has proven to be more than a good friend to me. She has a good strong heart...the heart of a dwarf,' Belrén thought a kind smile on her features as she looked at Bilbo.

Supper continued on well into the night with laughs, stories and songs.

"Bilbo won't you sing to us?" Ori asked shyly.

Bilbo's cheeks reddened at the request. Despite her shyness she said, "Sure Ori."

With a little help from Dwalin, Bilbo made her way to the center of the room. With a deep breath Bilbo began to sing...

The applause she was met with surprised Bilbo. She'd never sang to anyone aside from grandpapa Took and he always said she had a beautiful voice. She never truly believed him since there was no one to validate and vacate her self-doubt. Bilbo took a deep breath and a shy smile spread on her soft features.

"That was beautiful," Ori said a dreamy smile on his face.

Bilbo looked at her feet bashfully.

"My mother used to sing that song when I couldn't sleep," Bilbo said a fond-full smile as she recalled her mother.

"I have an announcement," she heard Dwalin say as he approached her.

Bilbo blushed as he offered her his hand.

She proudly took it having an inkling of what he was going to do.

Dwalin cleared his throat and with a strong voice said,"I Dwalin Son of Fundin offer Bilbo Baggins of the Shire my bead as a proposal of courtship and eventual marriage."

"What!?"

Better an “oops ”.. than a “what if”.

**After an eventful week full of emotions and things brought to my attention, I have so much to share. I honestly do not know where to start, but I know I need to. **

We can all agree that when we go through tough times, we all think back on things we did or didn’t do and wonder what/where/how things went wrong. Whether it be relationships, friendships, work, etc. We are human. We are flawed. And sometimes our actions or words may not send the message we intended to send to someone. Kinda like when we text. We say something, but the receiving party reads it in a way you didn’t intend to sound to them. But then there are times we say or do things intending to make an impact or set boundary and the other person will do everything in their power to ignore it and just plainly not give a crap.

For the last year and a half, I allowed someone to be put on a pedestal in my life. I allowed their pain, fears, doubts to become my own. I tried to shield them from everything and anything that could hurt them. Which included taking second seat to other women from the past or present. I tried to show love and understanding. I listened to their pain and felt it. It broke my heart when they finally opened up and shared what their heart was truly feeling. Whether is was past relationships, family, friends.. any pain they felt they shared. And the person I am is a fixer. An empath. I wanted so badly to love them hard enough that they never had to shed another tear, never had another fear of history repeating, or felt another feeling of unworthiness. Because the person I saw in that moment was so broken and hurting, but also so beautiful and special, they had purpose and such an amazing soul. I put the fears of them leaving me, because of their pain, aside and did what I felt I needed to to put them back together. I put them above myself. I was fine with that, aren’t you suppose to be selfless in a relationship?

I remember a certain night, laying in bed wondering what God’s plan was here. I loved them unconditionally. I stood by their side even when I was left for someone else. Only to watch that crash and burn and have them knocking on my door again a day later. Full of regret and asking for forgiveness. Which I did. I forgave. I tried to stand my ground and let them know what hurt the most, what I wouldn’t tolerate again and how I missed them all in the same breath. Things would be fine for a few weeks, but in the back of my mind I tried to erase any doubt I had that it would last. Always worried that it would happen again if someone prettier or closer his their age came across his phone screen on that blasted facebook. I wanted so bad to be all they saw, all they wanted.

And you guessed it right, they left again. And came back. And left. Yes I know you will get only what you allow. But when does our kindness and love and commitment ever play a part in their decision making?? Does it always have to be that we are never considered? Do they feel remorse for hurting us? I would like to believe that what I have been to them was noticed. But it seemed the only things that played in their minds were all the wrong others did, which kept them from cherishing what I brought to the table. I take forever to give up on anyone. I fight til I can’t anymore. That is with anyone I know in life. But more so for people I am with. Like I shared before, I am a hopeless romantic. So I was confused on how the person who left me a note with a hand picked flower on my car while I was at work asking if I liked him and wanted to date him could be the same person that wanted to keep breaking my heart. I wondered if I could do or say somethinggggg strong enough to make an impact on their heart it would maybe crush the memories that haunt them of the ones before, and they would finally fall to their knees and look at me for who I am. For what I have endured during this time. Standing by their side through the good, bad and ugly. Because I knew in my heart the same person who cried and held me telling me they loved me so much, was so sorry for what they did to me, and would spend the rest of his life making up for the pain he put me through.. that was the real person they were. I wanted so desperately to believe the demons that clouded his judgement so frequently would eventually be gone for good and the love I would experience with them would stick. And last forever. They were WORTH it.

I always say, “say what you mean, and mean what you say”. I am a big believer in that, even tho I have failed many times and said things I didn’t mean. Not in the least. Again, us humans are flawed. I have no excuses. I do know its a flaw of mine. But what I know I would never do is give false hope to someone about something they desired more than anything in this world. Most of you do not know this, and those who know me who are reading you know details I would share on here. I am a single mom to a daughter who deserves to have a family. Her father committed suicide years ago, and since it has impacted her life by wondering who would fill his spot. As much as we weren’t apart of each others lives like most co parenting stories you have heard, she is aware that her biological father is gone and she doesnt have that option of growing up with him in her life anymore. The desire for her and I to have a father figure for her in this household is something we pray over a lot. As a parent, and having to fill that void for her as best I can, I sometimes feel as tho I have failed her. But I do know her father and I did make peace before he passed. And even tho it does not replace the pain I feel knowing he is gone, I do feel as tho I need to make him proud by finding someone who would love her the way he did.

Marriage is not to be taken lightly. I have never been married. I do not have that experience under my belt. But what I want so badly is to be with someone who will be exactly what we need and what is missing in our home. This last year was hopeful. As much as there were so many nights of doubts and pain, sleepless nights crying myself to sleep praying, I know that the good outweighed the bad until it just didn’t anymore. I was told they wanted to spend the rest of their life with me. I mean just weeks ago, we discussed building a house. Down to the details of drawing up floor plans, including games rooms, a man cave, and an open wall for me to paint a decal of our shared last name. We discussed rings, possible time period for a wedding, the whole nine. Virtual try on of rings online, and promises it would happen “whether I like it or not, just be patient with me” didn’t hold true in the end. The six months before this extensive planning were rough. But now they were out of town working, and we believed absence made our hearts stronger and more focused and for the first time in our relationship it felt sincere. Secure. REAL.

Months went by and we stayed in our bubble. They came home. Shared such special memories I will always cherish. Celebrate my 30th birthday in style and felt my life was complete with them in it. Until the send out to the next job. They left. Drove 12 hours away to Florida and promised it would be ok because we belonged together. Assured me things would not change. It was going to be the same as the last job. I would be flown out again, and they would come down for Christmas. Only things didn’t go as planned. Didn’t take but a week apart for them to start their doubts again. I wondered if the amazing time we had when they were home was painful to remember and know the truth is it would be a while before they had that again with me. They would be alone. Missing me. Unable to feel my touch or kiss me when they wanted. Wouldn’t be able to roll over and pull me closer while we slept. I tried to find the pain in them to lead to me understanding of the abrupt dismissal of me. And just like that. I was single. Feeling worthless. And wondering if everything we overcame was a lie.

Weeks have passed and I have seen/heard/told of others (emphasis on that S) that have been where I should be. In the arms of someone who told me they wanted to spend the rest of their life with me. The flood of doubts of myself came pouring in. It felt like I was dead weight. How was it so easy to sleep with someone else? Did they think of me at all? Did they cry after that female left, knowing it didn’t fulfill anything I ever was for them and it was a mistake? Or was it just tossed our of their mind and they forced themselves to sleep before the regret became so intense they couldn’t breath? Because on my side of that situation, I felt ugly. I felt worthless. I felt like a JOKE. How can this happen? The thought of giving myself to someone else, no matter the status of us.. no matter that we were broken up or mad at one another.. it didn’t matter. Because I still loved them. So the simple thought of showing that affection and love to another person who wasn’t them, MADE ME PHYSICALLY SICK. Yes I know men think with the other head. Excuse me... BOYS do that. Men who know what they have and dont want to lose the woman who has stood by their side through everything, wouldn’t try to pursue a stranger until they knew that it was over. The dust hadn’t even settled and someone else was already in my spot. What the hell?

I have gone over every possible thing I could have done differently. And the only thing I can think of is I should have walked away a long time ago. Not meaning they didn’t necessarily deserve the love they received from me, because partially they dont. Because they did. Everyone deserves to be loved right? I know I made a positive impact in his life, no matter what horrible things we have said and done to one another out of anger. My confusion comes from the present, theirs come from the past which affects their present. I can sit here and make excuses for them. But it all boils down to they cannot grasp the woman I am , it’s too much for them. Maybe you can say they aren’t man enough to handle it. And apparently they believe they only deserve meaningless flings and loveless sexual encounters. I was not wrong for loving someone who was incapable of loving me the way I deserve or themselves for that matter. I knew what I saw in them was worth staying as long as I did. And knowing I should have walked away, if I could do it over again I probably would do the same things over. Because I don’t regret them, I don’t regret loving them thru things we went thru, and I sincerely Iove and believe in the good I KNOW is in there. Even tho they refuse to tap into it and be a better person consistently. I look back and know the only changes I would for sure make if I could is how I lashed out in anger. Saying things I knew would hurt them like they were hurting me. I couldn’t and never did cheat, or try to. I tackled all the “what ifs” head on and left no stone unturned. I fought the good fight for the man I wanted to truly spend the rest of my life with. And maybe God will perform a miracle. Maybe we will cross paths again after we do some growing up. But if anything, it can all be chalked up to: I loved fiercely and showed my loyalty to the fullest. I just could have loved the wrong one. OOPS.

01:Does Jasmine have a good relationship with her parents?yes, extremely good. of course there’s the occasional fights like there sometimes is between the parents and child but besides that she gets along extremely well with both of them and she has a very strong bond with both of them.

02: Who did she last say “I love you” to?she last said it to bas!

03: Does she regret anything?jasmine believes in learning from her mistakes rather than regretting anything so she tries to feel that way about things that sometimes go wrong rather than waste her time on regret.

04: Is she insecure?she thinks everyone has a few insecurities some more than others even if some wouldn’t ever admit that so, yes. she has insecurities. for example she likes her body but sometimes she gets a little insecure about it, feeling like her boobs for example are not big enough.

05: What is her relationship status?she’s in a relationship with bas bristow.

06: How does she want to die?this is something she definitely hates thinking about a lot. if she has to though, she’d prefer to peacefully fall asleep when she’s really old and not really suffer and go through pain.

07: What did she last eat?she probably had breakfast and for breakfast she usually eats acai bowls, porridge with lots of fruits, avocado on toast with tomatoes, pancakes or scrambled egg and bacon so something like that most likely

08: Played any sports?she used to play tennis for a few years but then eventually stopped after a slight shoulder injury. now that shoulder hurts too much when she tries to play.

09: Does she bite her nails?no, she never has done it and isn’t doing it now. she finds the thought of it quite gross actually.

10: When was her last physical fight?jasmine actually never really has been in a physical fight at all.

11: Does she like someone?well, she loves someone to be quite honest.

12: Has she ever stayed up 48 hours?she was in sydney for a few days once and didn’t sleep on her flight back to california but had classes soon after she arrived back there so she stayed up that entire time and definitely was quite dead afterwards.

13: Does she hate anyone at the moment?no, she actually doesn’t hate anyone.

14: Does she miss someone?no, at the moment she doesn’t miss anyone.

15: Have any pets?she doesn’t have any pets but she’d really love to get herself a dog soon.

16: How exactly is she feeling at the moment?at the moment she’s feeling very happy and very content with everything.

18: Is she scared of spiders?definitely not scared but she finds them extremely disgusting for sure.

19: Would she go back in time if she was given the chance?jasmine feels like there’d be no point of that at all. The past should stay in the past and shouldn’t be changed either even if we might want to change some things sometimes.

21: What are her plans for this weekend?considering this weekend is almost over, i’ll take next weekend but she actually doesn’t have any specific plans for it yet.

22: Does she want to have kids? How many?jasmine definitely wants kids. preferrably two or maybe even three.

23: Does she have piercings? How many?she has her ears pierced, just normal ear piercings but besides that, no, she doesn’t.

24: What were her best subject(s)?her best subjects in school were english lit, geography, statistics, u.s. history, spanish, french, german and  p.e.

25: Does she miss anyone from her past?in high school, her best friend was called lauren. they shared everything together, almost spend every day together even after school. after high school was over though, they both went their seperate ways and even if for a year they remained contact after that they somehow lost it.

26: What is she craving right now?bas… always bas! no, honestly (even though its true) she might as well be craving a red velvet cupcake or something with salted caramel

27: Has she ever broken someone’s heart?the two past relationships she had both ended mutually and other than that she doesnt think so or at least doesnt know about it

no, she hasnt or, again, at least doesnt know about it

again, at least she doesnt know about it

30: What’s irritating her right now?at the moment, nothing is really irritating her

33: Does she have trust issues?she actually has quite a few trust issues. she doesnt open up fully to most people. the only people she truly opens up to and lets her guard down to fully be herself are her parents, her sister and of course bas

34: Who/what was her last dream about?most of the time jasmine doesn’t remember her dreams. but the last dream she does remember wasn’t a pleasant one. she was trapped somewhere in a large dark place and someone was chasing her, she doesnt know why all she knew was that she was trying to run but she couldn’t really do that and she screamed for help but no sound would come out at all and before the person could approach her, she woke up

35: Who was the last person she cried in front of?it was actually bas even if those were happy tears but she last cried in front of him

36: Does she give out second chances too easily?not at all, no. if someone needs a second chance from her for whatever reason then they need to work really, really hard to gain it

37: Is it easier to forgive or forget?for her its definitely easier to forgive but that never means she forgot or might ever forget

38: Is this year the best year of her life?so far, for her it definitely is and she likes to think it stays that way. bas is making it the best year of her life so far with how happy he makes her and she doubts thatll change

39: How old was she when she had her first kiss?she was about 13 years old and she hates thinking back to it because it was extremely weird and not pleasant at all

40: Has she ever walked outside completely naked?if skinny dipping counts for that then actually, yes. 51: Favourite food?a really good bacon cheese burger with a lot of bacon52: Does she believe everything happens for a reason?she likes to think that way or tries most of the time but when its about unpleasant things its usually quite hard for her to think that way

53: What is the last thing she did before she went to bed last night?she took a shower, brushed her teeth and then cuddled and kissed bas if that counts?54: Is cheating ever okay?no. to her it is never and will never be okay. there is no excuse for her that makes cheating okay. it’s a horrible thing and she doesn’t get why people feel the need to do so. it just isn’t right and if anyone ever cheated on her, she’d never be able to forgive them, no matter what they promised her.55: Is she mean?she doesn’t really think she’s mean but sometimes she is a little sarcastic and people who don’t get that think she is being mean.

56: How many people has she fist fought?she never fist fought anyone in her life57: Does she believe in true love?jasmine thinks true love exists yes. she thinks its extremely rare but it exists. when you find it though, youll know just by how you’ll feel and it’ll be different than anything you’ve ever felt before. and she also thinks she did find it now 58: Favourite weather?without a doubt, sunny weather!

59: Does she like the snow?yes she actually really quite likes the snow60: Does she wanna get married?that’s actually quite the interesting question because she didn’t grow up around married parents. her parents never really believed in marriage so she isn’t sure about it but she also doesn’t want to say she doesn’t want to get married because she might want that sooner or later.61: Is it cute when a boy/girl calls her baby?she loves when bas calls her baby and depending on how he says it and in which situation that is, she finds it either really cute or even sexy too62: What makes her happy?well.. besides bas? traveling makes her extremely happy. just discovering new places and seeing new places or just go to a beautiful place and relax. that makes her happy too.63: Would she change her name?jasmine actually quite likes her name so, no. she wouldnt.64: Would it be hard to kiss the last person she kissed?oh yes, extremely hard. almost impossible! no, it was bas so obviously not at all. might be the easiest thing in the world65: Her best friend of the opposite sex likes her, what does she do?if this was to happen to her now, obviously she’s dating bas so there’s no way they’d ever have a chance with her but if it had happened in the past, it’d obviously depend on whether she had feelings for him too or not66: Does she have a friend of the opposite sex who she can act your complete self around?besides being her boyfriend she also considers bas her friend because they were that before anything else happened so… well, she has him. so yes. 67: Who was the last person of the opposite sex she talked to?half these questions have bas as an answer but… him!

68: Who’s the last person she had a deep conversation with?again it was definitely bas. they have deep conversations quite a lot and she enjoys that a lot. if we want a person other than him, before that it was probably lia.69: Does she believe in soulmates?yes, she actually does believe in soulmates and these days she often wonders if maybe she found hers in bas.70: Is there anyone she would die for? yes there is. she’d die for her parents and lia and, of course, bas. there’s nothing she wouldnt do for them, including dying for them.

TST + LYD= TAB

I re-watched TAB today and I had my entire ass handed to me. Like literally. My eyes were on the screen watching, but my ass was being force fed into my hands by Mofftiss and their utter brilliance.

I thought there were parallels to TAB in TST but I was wrong. There aren’t parallels. There is a fucking road map with a bright neon sign flashing, “Look Here! See what we did? Aren’t we FUCKING CLEVER!” Yes, Mofftiss, I know you’re clever. calm the fuck down already. 

Yeah, so this is going to be me screaming at the top of my lungs for the next few minutes. Be kind and indulge a tired bi, would you? I’ll do it in list format again to keep it organized and I’ll recount the episode in order. I’m not going to included things that parallel other episodes to TAB. Things like Sherlock recognizing Mary’s perfume, Moriarty and Sherlock’s repetitive dialogue from TGG, or the bit about John bringing his revolver to unlikely situations. There is a lot of meta about that already. This is just TAB to TST and some conjecture about TAB and TLD.

1.) The first true feature of interest (look Mofftiss I can be clever too!) in TAB as it relates to Series 4 is when Sherlock recounts his latest case to Mrs. Hudson, when he and John return to Baker Street at the begining of the episode. The case involved a dismembered country squire, in which they were unable to find the legs but Sherlock brings at least one (my money is on the head) body part home with him in his luggage that John carries. In TST one of the first cases recounted is the Circus Torso, in which a limbless body is found in luggage. 

2.) Mary is introduced in disguise right as the title flashes beneath her. She is literally The Abominable Bride. (I know this doesnt relate to TST. I’m just being petty. It will probably happen again.)

3.) “I don’t mind you leaving, my darling, I mind you leaving me behind.” Mary begins her letter to John in TST with, My Darling, which is such an odd phrase to use as a 30 something women in 2014. 

4.) “The Stage is set. The Curtain Rises. We are Ready to begin.” Sherlock says this to himself right before the case truly begins. This bit is probably one of the biggest fucking punches in the face and I wish I could save it for later but it was at the beginning of the episode and I said I’d do it in order. At the end of TST Sherlock texts Mary, The curtain Rises. The last act. Its not over.-SH Well, I guess we can all go home now…right? I mean, to me at least, this is huge. The “play” that Sherlock began to run through in his mind began in TAB, and the shooting of “Mary” was the begining of the last act. We will finish the last act in TLD. More on what the last act actually is composed of later…but I’ll give you a hint: mUAh!

5.) “Sometimes to solve a case, one must solve another.” This line comes directly after Sherlock yells at the Watsons to quit bickering. Then, after Watson inquires about the case, Sherlock tells him its an old case. Very old. On the surface, this looks like its just present day Sherlock peeking through to give the audience a clue as to what is going on, but it is also a reference to what is going to happen in TST. Sherlock uses an old case in TST to solve a new one. The Six Thatchers is a case that Sherlock solved during the events of A Scandal in Belgravia. He solved it years ago. Its very old. 

6.) This one is more of a theme than an actual direct parallel but its important to mention. Mrs. Hudson complains multiple times about being a “plot device” and seems to feel very unappreciated in TAB. In TST she can’t take a picture properly and she is used as a plot device to help Sherlock be a better person with the whole “Norbury” code. The fact that this entire episode revolves around the theme of not taking women for granted or underestimating them (ahem, “Mary”), I think we can expect to see a lot more from Mrs. H soon. Good or Bad.

7.) Lestrade comes in to present the case to them, just as he does in TST. Except in TAB he is afraid, not embarrassed like SHerlock strangely deduced at first, where as in TST Lestrade does seem to be embarrassed about the fact that he can’t do his job and he can’t even take credit for someone else doing his job for him. Also, throughout TAB people are praising John for his stories in The Strand, and Lestrade brings up John’s blog in TST an alarming number of times.

8.) In TAB Sherlock wanted Lestrade to describe Emelia’s face to him, talking about the mouth in particular and in TST Sherlock drawed attention to MT’s mouth and claimed that maybe it was her face that made the vandal smash her bust.

9.) “Till death us do part, twice in this case.” I think Sherlock’s line here could be interpreted two ways. It could be referencing the fact that Sherlock has “died” twice and forced to part from John twice. Or it could be alluding to something that has yet to come. “Mary” dies in TST, but it is widely believed that she faked it somehow- just as Emelia did. If she then dies again (for real this time), Sherlock’s line would apply to her as well. 

10.) “Secret Twin?” “Planned from the moment of conception? How breathtaking prescient of her!” It hasn’t been revealed yet, but Mary is definitely a twin or triplet. I wrote a thing on that here. They have also alluded to a long game being played. EDIT TO ADD: More and more evidence is coming out to support Mary being at the very least a sibling of Sherlock’s, if not his twin sister. 

11.) When Sherlock breaks TAB character and says “How could HE do it,” John corrects him, with “She. You mean how could she do it.” Yes, he is talking about Emelia, but the writers are also making sure we remember there is a female villain that we need to keep an eye on and she will be doing something that confounds Sherlock. Like tricking him into liking her and making her is #2 BFF. EDIT to ADD:@wssh-watson pointed out that Sherlock also calls the dead son in TST a daughter instead of son when he meets with the parents for the first time. 

12.)Lestrade tells Sherlock of the five people that died since the first murder, making it six total. In TST there are five people who have six total busts.

13.)Sherlock talks to an empty chair in TAB. He talks to an empty chair with a balloon floating in it in TST.

14.)The Watson’s have an unhappy and unfulfilling marriage is a theme in both episodes.

15.) Sherlock goes to see Mycroft in TAB twice, just as he does in TST. The first time both versions of Mycoft talk about understanding humans/human nature. The second time both versions of Mycroft discuss the true matter at hand with Sherlock. In TAB its Moriarty and in TST it’s Mary. He challenges his brother in both scenes and teases him for his emotional attachments.

16.) We also get this line from Mycroft “It is no easy thing for a great mind to contemplate an even greater one.” In the moment, we think he is talking about himself and how he is smarter than Sherlock and Sherlock is jealous, but just before the line Mycroft was telling Sherlock about someone named Adams who killed out of “murderous jealousy.” From Sherlock’s rapid deduction of Mrs. Norbury, we can deduce that this line is significant to TST’s “Mary” as well.

17.) I’m not going to get to far into this because there is a lot of interpretations, but Mycroft’s “tick tock” in TAB and the sound of a clock ticking in TST a couple times throughout the episode is a clear indication that we should be paying attention to time. That something isn’t right about time and its passage. 

18.) In TAB Lady Carmichael thinks the situation with her husband, “Maybe a matter for a priest. In TST “Mary” refers to her child as the anti-christ. See twin meta above for more info on that. 

19.) Another 5=death reference with the 5 pips in TAB. Yes, this is a TGG reference, but the person who held the fifth Thatcher bust was the only one who was murdered. Generally in BBC’s Sherlock, the number 5 means death.

20.) Eustace is a Mary Mirror.  He says, “She’s come for me, she’s found me out” in TAB and the bride tells him he is going to die. AJ tells Sherlock he’s coming for “Mary” and that she is a dead woman walking in TST. 

21.)  During the nighttime stake out in TAB, Sherlock says something interesting. He says he would expect John’s line of questioning from a Viennese Alienist, but not from him. A Viennese alienist is a psychoanalyst. A therapist. Sherlock goes to see Ella at the end of TST. We also hear Redbeard in this scene.

22.) In TAB, Sherlock tells Watson to “Stay here” but he doesn’t listen.  Lady C however is witness to the murder and screams at Sherlock, “You promised you’d keep him safe! You promised!” In TAB, Sherlock tells Watson to Come to the Aquarium immediately in his text message, but John he doesn’t listen because he stays back to find a sitter for the baby. He misses the shooting again, but this time its him, not his mirror, that yells at Sherlock, “You made a vow!”

So that’s the end of The Six Thatchers. 

But, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, thats not the end of TAB. The Abominable bride continues and The final act has just begun in the fourth series. The play will resume in The Lying Detective and then end, leaving (hopefully) at least half an hour to deal with Sherlock waking up and relaying important information about Mary to John.

As for how TAB will relate to The Lying Detective, I can only make a few guesses.

Here they are:

Almost immediately after Sir Eustace is stabbed in TAB we get Sherlock taking drugs. He is high and imagines Moriarty in his flat. They have a conversation with a lot of parallels to other episodes and then Moriarty challenges Sherlock about what he is doing. 

“Doesn’t this remind you of another case? What was that case? There’s nothing new under the sun. What was that case? Its on the tip of my tongue, its on the tip…”(insert gun blowjob here)

I know Moriarty is referencing his own case and how Sherlock is using Emelia to solve it, but there is nothing new under the sun. The Six Thatchers is a case that was already solved too. I think we’ll see Sherlock remembering some of the original TST case in an hallucination after being drugged in TLD. This situation will lead him down the path to Culverton Smith and that case plays out.

Supposedly back in present time, in TAB Sherlock then gives Mycroft a white pieces of paper with a list of the drugs he has taken on it. I think we can expect for there to be more white pieces of paper with drugs on them in TLD, but I also think he will return to life or wake up around this time as well. After or during the Culverton Smith case, when he realizes it isn’t real either. 

Then Sherlock and John will talk, just as they do in Baker Street after Sherlock wakes up from his drugged out state in TAB. Watson tells him he is happy to play the fool for him, but that Sherlock needs to hold himself to higher standard. Its a pep-talk of sorts. I think this is a possible situation for the real John and Sherlock after Sherlock wakes up. Sherlock will be down on himself for not seeing it (Mary) and John will chastise him for his reckless behavior but ultimately make him feel better.

Then in TAB we have Sherlock running down the stairs telling John that Mary is in danger. John asks him if he is fit as Sherlock suddenly is overtaken with a pain in his chest (gunshot wound) and Sherlock responds, “For Mary? OF course. Never doubt that Watson, Never that.”  I think this is a clever word play. He says she is in danger, but he doesn’t say what the danger is. In reality, Sherlock is the danger and when John asks him if he’s sure he’s up to it, Sherlock is like, “Bitch da fuq? That ho shot me!”

In TAB they then go off to meet Mary and they do the whole secret society thing where we learn how awesome women are and how stupid boys are for not appreciating them. I think here is where “Mary” in TLD will get a good speech about being underestimated and feeling proud at how clever she is and blah blah blah. TAB’s Sherlock even compliments Mary’s cleverness. Ultimately, the bitch goes down. We might get a three Garridebs moment, but I don’t see any evidence for that in TAB.

Soo…what’s left in TAB?

Waterfall. There’s always two of us. Mentions of marriage. Sherlock allows himself to fall. Hell he straight up jumps. He knows John will be there to catch him.

I think that means at the end of TLD we will get a love confession/kiss out of these two. They will kiss and be happy and Baker Street will be wonderful for all of three seconds before The Final Problem begins, where they will have to fight like hell to stay together.

I live in CA. I have Mercury insurance. I had 3 old cars on my policy which was too expensive so I sold 2 of them. I was paying $273 monthly automatically deducted from my bank on the 21st of every month. I sold the first car Jan. 29th. On Jan. 30th I took release of liability to AAA DMV and then to my insurance agent asking for the car to be removed from the policy. On February 10th I sold the second car. I took the release form to AAA DMV then straight to the agent asking for release. When I look at my policy deducting the 2 cars my insurance should be about $180 per month. They tell me it will be about $210 per month. Today rolls around, I check my bank account and they have deducted $273 from my checking. I call the 800 number for Mercury. They tell me it needed to be in by February 5th in order to make the billing deadline. HI, I am turning 17 in november, and already looking at cars. The cars i am looking at are getting insurance at over 5000 (im male) a year fully comp! The car is only like 2500..... The thing is i will barely use my car as i live really close to school, so will walk all weekdays - especially as i am banned from parking in school as i live too close. I will occasionally use it on weekends - but if i go out in the evening im not going to take my car - drink driving..
