A Rat in the Walls kind of fare where Branch sticks to the shadows and lives in constant, quiet, fear. He uses mousetraps to his advantage and is constantly beefing with the mice; Bridget and the other maids and serving staff are vaguely aware of the little shape darting in the shadows but only Bridget has recognized it as distinct from the mice so far. Branch meets Poppy and the first thing he does is shove her into a chimney to cover her in soot because she's "Too bright" and thus "Easy to spot." I don't have anything else for it though so it's been on the backburner compared to Between & Little Mouse.
