I’m a bit hesitant about writing human x na’vi nsfw and I probably won’t write human reader x na’vi fluff. It’s just I have a hard time visually imagining a human and a na’vi having sex without an avatar body. I am not against the idea in any way, but the general concept does throw me off a bit (I always imagine some type of detrimental injury occurring bc we are so smol compared to na’vi)

In all, I’m not the biggest fan of writing for a human reader, and will probably turn down requests for a human x Na’vi fic.

I will however, absolutely write for avatar reader x na’vi character of any sort! Or even a half-human half na’vi reader or some kind of biracial na’vi? (I’ve seen that concept a few times in the fandom an it’s honestly so much fun)

I do allow things like comfort for self harm, abuse, traumatic experiences, racism, etc. but these things will never be romanticized.

In what universe is Korra masc or butch? God forbid a woman be feminine, but not hyper-feminine (love you, Asami). Or just prefer pants to skirts because she's physically active in her duties.

(Off topic, but I used to wonder what her season 1 pants were made from because they looked so comfy.)

If I had to categorize her, like under threat, I would say maybe a hard femme. And even that doesn't feel quite right for her. Like you're not gonna catch her in a full face of makeup any time soon, but she clearly likes more feminine aesthetics.Let women of color have their masculine and feminine elements in peace, I beg.

(Also, Korra's masculinization by the fandom leads directly back to how the "masc x femme" dynamic is idealized and romanticized, to the point where it seems unfathomable at times that two femmes can be together and content that way. And how women of colour will always be masculinized unless they perform hyperfemininity. But y'all aren't ready for that chat just yet.)

Just insert that "butchest woman the internet can handle" meme I guess.

I think its just so interesting that Korra is presented as "boyish" for dressing practically (Also, mind you, her clothing doesn't seem terribly masculine either) and for liking "boyish" things when it's later shown that Asami also... likes these things. Asami and Korra bond over racing cars, Asami also fights and she seems genuinely invested in probending.

Btw, I know a lot of people like the idea of Asami secretly being a villain, but it actually feels like a breath of fresh air? Too many times have we solved a love triangle by making a rival Evil. And hyperfemininity is so often villanised in a very specific way, especially in contrast tk a "less girly" protagonist.

Ofc, Asami and Korra break so many tropes through their romance, but honestly even before them becoming romantic, their interactions were pretty unique for the character archetypes they were in the type of media they were in.

[Also I also loved Korra's pants they genuinely looked so comfy. Though I just think I have a weakness for lantern style pants even though I dont think i could pull them off lol]

Also yeah, Korra being very distinctly brown is part of why she's masculinised so much. And I also want to note that, from what I've seen, hyperfeminity in woc is still mocked and talked down to and dismissed as trashy. Too many times have I seen a fashion trend be applauded on the white girlies when its critiqued on the women of colour whom the trend originated from.

What we percieve as feminine is very much still dictated by eurocentric beauty and culture standards, while, of course, other ethnicities and cultures will have their own versions and definitions of what is "feminine". This is why you see that the bulk of female athletes who are transvestigated and accused of "secretly being men" are women of colour. Features we've grown to percieve as feminine as a society are features we asscociate with white women, and a lack of said features supposedly denotes masculinity, instead of a different creed of femininity.

But I also don't want to talk over subjects that are not mine to speak on so. I just... don't really like how we talk abt feminine gender presentation. I love presenting femme, when I'm doing it for myself it's very relaxing and enjoyable. But damn does it hurt my head when I think abt it too deep lol

And yeah, fandom in general has a bit of an obsession with the masc/femme dynamic, a hit of the modern version of when you ask same sex couples the "so who's the guy" question lol. But I think Korrasami got hit with that stick particularly hard, tragically. A friend once made an excellent observation that this is also probably the reason we have so many omegaverse fics in the fandom too.

Do you mind if I kinda babble here for a bit.

Okay so, Like the obvious counterpoint to what I'm speculating here, just to get it out of the way, is "actually Varric is just unfuckable because he has a wretched personality and politics", which I would say is fair except for the fact that has literally never stopped dragon age fans before so why would that stop them now? Clearly there's some other factor or factors at work here, even if they aren't the ones that I'm getting at.

But anyways. I really do think that what makes it most obvious that the State of Varric fanfic has a lot to do with attractiveness and body type standards and the baggage people have in regards to them is just, like, reading any of the Varric fic that actually does exist. Or fic for any dwarven character really.

It's hard to be specific about what I'm talking about here because I'm like, allergic to the idea of directly quoting or even just vagueing other people's fanfiction, even when it's bad. So I'll just say dude. Duuuuude I've read some crazy things, ranging from "This is awkwardly written because the author has never described a man that isn't a hunk or a twink." to "wow. Jesus Christ. Oh my god. You cannot describe a person's body like that what's wrong with you". Like often there's this kind of, thin film of disgust over all the physical descriptions. Or there's a vibe of "you find this strangely attractive even though it shouldn't be. This is attractive but it's objectively strange and weird" in the narration that I'm usually used to finding in monsterfucker fic? But it's layered over descriptions of just totally normal traits that humans irl also have instead of like, you know, tentacles. Which obviously feels pretty bad.

And this is honestly a much bigger thing because the source material is also weird about dwarves & attractiveness. Between word of god comments from writers, to in-game ambient dialogue in the Rose, codex/war table text, and just the fact that while it's not too terrible and there's some other stuff going on there, the idea of women being attracted to Varric is largely treated as a joke, the general vibe you get from most of the da series is that if you aren't dwarven yourself, being attracted to dwarves makes you at best kind of a harmless fetishist and at worst, a huge pervert, derogatory.

So there's a lot to unpack there already but it's still really sad that once again fandom can't collectively manage to be any better than the source material, even when the source material is like, dragon age. Famous bad game dragon age. Like fandom is sooo progressive but cannot manage to be collectively better than dave gaider. Okay.

Yuri Mitsukou!! I love this question

So awhile back I posted smth like “no fem4masc Yuri Mitsukou it has to be masc4masc” which like. I don’t really agree with anymore. I like that in canon one of them is feminine while the other is masculine and it’s not really done in a stereotypical way. Fandoms make a really big deal about people feminizing male characters- and for good reason, it does happen a lot. But that gets taken to the point that they end up unintentionally reinforcing traditional gender roles. “How dare you draw that man in a skirt” or “that male character would never cry.” It’s also weird to me that I never see the same defense given to female characters being masculinized, so it ends up feeling like a lot of fans just hate femininity. So when a male character is feminine and seemingly likes masc dudes but has one of the loudest personalities in the manga, I think it’s pretty neat. Ofc there are fans that are weirdly against calling Mitsuba feminine but I already blocked most of them so idk what they have to say

(I could talk more in-depth about how fans are so worried about feminizing Mitsuba that they erase all the soft parts of his personality and make him one-dimensional but I’ll hold my tongue)

However, with fem!Mitsuba things are usually portrayed differently. Since dude Mitsuba’s initial conflict was being bullied for looking like a girl, most people say that the reverse would be girl Mitsuba being bullied for looking like a dude. This is fine but we also have to keep in mind that the entire gag of Mitsuba’s character is that he looks feminine but has an unfiltered personality, based on his looks you would never expect him to act that way. So if girl Mitsuba looks boyish, does that mean her personality would be super soft and delicate?? Because, yeah Mitsuba does have a soft side but not in that way, and it’s not at the forefront of his personality. Plus girl Mitsuba could still get bullied for looking too feminine, internalized misogyny is very much a thing

However, at the end of the day it really depends on personal preference so I’m not at all bashing either depiction of fem!Mitsuba. I go back and forth over which one I like more. Gender themes are a pretty big part of how I write Mitsukou so it’s hard for me to imagine that switched up, but it’s also incredibly interesting to think abt. All in all I like to keep fem!Mitsuba looking androgynous, maybe she has a boyish face but still dresses very feminine. Or maybe she has a girly face but dresses very masc. It’s one of those things I like a variety of interpretation on. For this I say she keeps the same hair length and pink cardigan but wears the girls uniform. So like yeah she basically just looks the same

As for Kou, those of you that read my wlw Kou//Nene fic should know that masc girl Kou is actually everything to me. A lot of fans sort of flip their gender presentations when gender bending them- Mitsuba becomes masc and Kou becomes fem. That’s totally great if that’s what you like but for me personally Kou is gonna be wearing Old Spice. I like to imagine her hair a tad longer in the back, like a choppy version of the Bisexual Bob. She wears some type of hoodie over her uniform the same way canon Kou wears a t-shirt under his uniform. The hoodie is blue btw (gotta incorporate the lore from my mtsk fics)

I feel like their personalities and dynamic would stay mostly the same! Maybe make them a bit clingier the way female friendships are but they’re already pretty clingy in canon lol. I do wonder if Kou’s flaw of not being able to open up about his feelings properly would change due to gender socialization. But many women (including myself) have that problem too so I think it would stay the same. She might be able to open up to Teru or Yokoo and Satou better but she’d still struggle to admit when she’s feeling overwhelmed. I could see her not being the type to tell someone how she’s feeling until all those emotions have built up for months. That’s how I’ve seen the whole “can’t talk abt your emotions” problem present itself in women. And men tend to only feel comfortable opening up to their romantic partners, which is something we very much see with Mitsukou in canon. But with fem!Kou, if Yokoo and Satou were girls two they would probably encourage her to talk abt her feelings rather than just being like “let’s give him a task to distract him” (which is fine too, men have different ways of comforting their friends)

I'm curious, how did you get into undertale/ your history with it? I love listening to how people found out abt undertale bc it just warms my heart hearing all the different stories

OOH BOY I GOT A QUESTION- ahem.

My first encounter with Undertale was actually because of my sister. She was really into indie video games at the time like Five Nights at Freddy's, Bendy and the Ink Machine, and Undertale. She watched a lot of Minecraft music videos of various fan songs, and I just so happened to be in the room with her when she was watching the one for Down To The Bone on the TV. I wasn't doing much, all I was doing was reading Looney Tunes stuff (that was my special interest at the time), but something about the Undertale ones caught my eye. I don't exactly remember how it happened, but I started looking into Undertale and got REALLY into it.

I remember it being a slow transition from Looney Tunes to Undertale. And what usually gets me into the media is the characters. And I think it's safe to say that Undertale... has amazing characters. The first character I got attached to, however, was Papyrus. I think it was because I related to him the most. In real life, I actually have a similar personality to Papyrus, with his outgoing, bubbly energy and desire for lots and lots of friends. He really stuck with me. And not to mention, he's definitely autistic-coded. Just look at that man and tell me he's neurotypical, you liar. I also loved how he was a twist on the whole "big ego" characters. Those kinds of characters are usually jerks, but I feel The Great Papyrus really lives up to the name he gave himself. He's kind, he's compassionate, he shARES THE SAME BELIEFS AS I DO. Yeah, he was my sole favourite for a while. He never stopped being my favourite.

As for how I got attached to Sans? Well, I was in my "discovery" phase of my Undertale hyperfixation/special interest and I stumbled onto TV Tropes, as any cartoon/media nerd does. So I was looking at the character sheets, the Funnies, the Tear Jerkers, the Nightmare Fuels... and then I discovered the Woobie page. If anyone reading this doesn't know what a Woobie is, they're a type of character you can't help but feel bad for because of the crap they have to go through, like Asriel or Hunter from The Owl House or almost every Steven Universe character. And Undertale is unsurprisingly full of Woobies. But then I got to Sans' section of the page and... I cried, man. I legitimately cried. I felt so bad for the poor thing. So yeah, that kickstarted my attachment to Sans as well.

And you know, when your favourite characters are the ones the fandom loves/talks about the most... you basically hit the jackpot when it comes to fan content of them. Before long, I was watching comic dub after comic dub, learning about the story and characters and watching play throughs and reading fics and comics and oh my god it was a blast! And it came to a head when I wanted to save up for my own copy of Undertale. I was going to save a lot of money and- I had a bad day at school which culminated in my parents buying me Undertale to cheer me up because they're kickbutt awesome. Thanks, parental units! So anyway, I completed the all-mercy route and got the golden ending three times, then I didn't pick up the game again for AGES because I wanted to give the characters a happy ending. But my obsession didn't go away. In fact, it only grew stronger. So with the game done, what can I do now?

I don't really mind the new tag things? Like, I don't love them, but they're fine. If people want to distance themselves, that's fine. I'm distancing myself. Anybody who's been keeping up with my blog over the past half a year or so can see that I haven't really posted about the QSMP at all since Purgatory started. I haven't talked about Quackity at all outside of that shitshow of an awards ceremony in over a month when, for several years, I was a Quackity-centric blog (2021-early 2023)

My thing with the new tags, and with the Guapoverse thing in general, is that it really just isn't accessible for a larger audience. Sure, some parts of Twitter might understand it, but what about the rest of us?

As far as I can tell, the Guapoverse originated with a Twitter artist (Moone), and it blew up overnight. And I'm overall cool with it! It's a little silly, but so is fandom. I'm a fanfiction writer. Who plays Splatoon for like 4 hours every day. I know silly, and I love it

Like, say I go on Twitter looking for q!Pac fanart. But now it's so much harder to find because it isn't tagged or typed that way, it's !Pac, and that includes search results from every single au that has a ! in it, like if there was an au called AU!Pac? The !Pac would be in there. But I don't want to see AU!Pac, I want to see q!Pac.

And then there's the g! thingy. Like, that's fine, but a little more widespread of an explanation would've been nice. Like, what au does g! stand for? If you don't know what Guapoverse is, like A LOT OF PEOPLE don't, what are we supposed to think your art is? If we're looking for q!Cellbit art, we aren't necessarily going to like and retweet your art if it's labeled as g!Cellbit because we don't know that he's q!Cellbit.

It's kind of similar on Ao3, only that one's a little different because you can filter by relationship. But let's say you don't know how to do that. Let's say you're new to the website and you only know how to filter by fandom, because that's the first thing you learn how to do on Ao3- it's right there at the top of the front page: Browse By Fandom.

So you go to the QSMP tag looking for fics with Spiderbit/Guapoduo in them. But, here's the thing, you can't find any. Because they aren't being tagged QSMP, they're being tagged Guapoverse now even if the fics are being set in the QSMP setting.

It's just a general lack of fandom accessibility that gets me. I understand the distancing aspect, and I've been waiting for it to happen since the Elections when he Brazilian fandom started getting IMMENSE amounts of hatred from Gringo Chats. But it gets a little tricky when you're part of a fandom as large as this one is. How are we all supposed to share content and talk about things with each other if we can't even find each other anymore?

Like! I've lost so many cool fics I forgot to bookmark because they were taken out of the QSMP tag and moved into the new one! (The new one goes against ToS btw I believe, but go talk to a tag wrangler about that.)

People on Tumblr don't know what the Guapoverse is. TikTok doesn't. Reddit doesn't. Only Twitter does, and only a section of Twitter does. Because I haven't seen any English or French-speaking Guapoduo People talk about the Guapoverse, only Portuguese or Spanish-speaking people. And I get that the exclusion isn't purposeful and that the Guapoverse is meant to sort of heal everybody from the wounds the QSMP left, but I think that maybe even just spreading the news and not... you know... sending death threats and insults and smearing people's names would be better than this.

I don’t know if this would match up with the ways you like to see Ink portrayed or not but like— if I personally was writing a ‘villain’ Ink, one of the ways I’d wanna do it is make him attached to something/someone that he’s ‘not supposed’ to favor above all else since he’s ‘meant’ to love/protect everything in the multiverse equally. And I’d wanna see this attachment come at the expense of these au’s he’s starting to see as lesser instead of equal—more expendable than HIS thing—due to this attachment. He’s becoming more and more willing to ignore other aus as they burn as to divert the fire from this ONE thing. Like a ‘selfish’ fall from his once ‘benevolent and shielding’ grace. So yes, he’s the ‘villain’ now, in the public’s eyes. He’s hated. He used to protect everything, whereas now he only defends this one, but is Ink really that bad now? He wouldn’t think so. He’s aware of the harm he’s letting befall the multiverse, but how could that possibly cancel out the centuries of protection he’s provided them with up until this point? They’ll survive, always have, always will. The multiverse is resilient. He deserves to be selfish, to take a break, to enjoy the things he never properly is ‘allowed’ to, he thinks. If that enjoyment is at the expense of others’, well, they’ve come to owe him a lot over the centuries, haven’t they? If they repay his labor in death, so be it.

Heart sphere: first state that came to mind was Kansas, Heart spheres have very good posture because they lead with their chest, they have very good eye contact and are very expressive with their eyes and i think kansas does have that and bc of that you always know if a Heart sphere is listening to you which is all the time, now with hand gestures the Heart sphere always has their hand on their chest weather it's playing with something around their neck or putting their hand to their heart and i can absolutely see Kansas putting his hand on his heart and not just bc he's a midwestern state some other ppl for this sphere maybe is Washington and Oregon, Virgina and Maryland

Is the elimination order different, or does it go the same way as canon?

oh my godddd this ask has been sitting in my drafts for two months now i think?? ive been holding back on answering this bc i wanted to be in the right environment where i can infodump without getting interrupted. im so so super sorry for the long wait, i hope my response makes up for it!!

first of all, TYSM FOR THE ASK DUDE heads up you're gonna prob get a longass ramble abt this from me so yeah lmao without further ado, lets get into it!

PICKING PETALS:

the fic loml, the first EVER td fic i thought up and I've three chapters prewritten for it, half of the fic planned out/outlined, and so many scenes, moments, interactions, etc for it thought up. i'd gotten back into the fandom and while rewatching tdpi for the first time in 7 years i came up with this idea.

started off as purely self-indulgent bc i wanted to write my spin on the truth or scare episode, and then it turned into all this and im so living for it!!

dashawn-centric, obv. it veers off-course from canon during and after episode 4 (the truth or scare one). the overarching plot is 'what if dave and shawn kissed for the scare, and all the shenanigans that followed with getting feelings for someone you didn't expect all bc of one (1) kiss--as well as some other stuff that snowballs from it bc its total drama'. this is TOTALLY canon divergent. the elimination order is 90% different from canon. the characters get way more depth to the point where they may seem like different ppl with only their canon stereotypes reminding them of who they are in canon (not different as in like ooc btw before anyone jumps to that conclusion, i meant different as in a lot of the characters get more of a personality than what canon gave them lmao). a lot of my dave lore spawned thanks to this fic. dave, himself, gets such a fucking glowup from the 2D version of him canon gave while still retaining his 'normal guy' persona. same with shawn tbh, i love the expansion I've done for the characters in this fic ngl, but personally i love how dave turned out

dave & ella friendship, dave & sky friendship, background jasammy, jasmine & shawn friendship, sammy & shawn friendship, mild sammy & dave camaderie/friendship, sammy & amy development, dave & topher rivalry interactions, dave & scarlett interactions, shawn & topher rivalry, the final three being a ball of tension bc of enmity (i wont say who they are), ella getting her development, dives into character backstories and why they auditioned for td, tensionnn of all kinddd, dramaaa of all kinddd, scarlett's evilness actually being foreshadowed before the Great Reveal, etc etc the list just keeps on going!! these folks are gonna have tdi vibes--they're going to act like teens and befriend each other (or hate each other) bc canon tdpi sorely lacked that and imo the pi cast exudes found family vibes

due to how variant the elimination order is, i literally had to create two new challenges for two of the chapters, esp post-merge bc chris was interjecting himself into practically all the challenges in canon lmaoo also tdpi's eliminations were annoying bc why were there two double eliminations for literally no reason? that's gonna change here as well; no double eliminations, and there's gonna be a variant of elimination types (for example: there's gonna be a 'character is too injured to compete therefore obligatory elimination' type happening in this fic--hmmm i wonder who'll be behind the injury... and some more "scandalous" types bc this is total drama, it's not gonna live up to its name if there aren't any eliminations that are 'unfair'!)

starts from ep4 all the way to the finale--and speaking of the finale, the finalists are partly different from canon too. like i said, nearly everything diverges from canon to a degree. i kind of went nuts with this fic lmao its my bby, i treasure it with my heart, i want to write more for it, i want to publish it so badly, but my goal is to get at least 20 chapters into agtsta before publishing picking petals (tho idk i think that plan might change...im considering maybe giving myself breathing time to get more prewriting done until january before starting the new year off right with some picking petals posting!)

REWIND, REPEAT:

the time-travel au fic!! its still heavily in the works so im basically spitballing ideas here, but im thinking of two options.

dave time-travel route:

initially my idea for this fic (can you tell i love putting dave in situations? that boy deserves to be spun in a mixing bowl), and it'd be interesting bc he's sort of like an anti-villain?? bc its directly after the finale when he gets left behind and attacked by scuba bear. he comes across some malfunctioning tech on the island while running away and BOOM next thing he knows he's somehow zapped back to where and when it started--on the blimp at the very beginning of the season. so he is still reeling from everything that occurred and naturally he isn't feeling too lightly abt the whole ordeal

some of my mutuals may know this, but when i was like 10 and watched tdpi for the first time, i made notes for a season 2 au; it involved a personality shift for dave (even when i was 10 he was one of my favs). my idea in the notes was that he became a hollyleaf, if you know warrior cats lmao; he's more reserved, there's this inner turmoil and energy coiled in him, he's an enigma, he doesn't open up much, he has this Dark Secret vibe surrounding him, but he's also clever and will do anything to get to his goal and he has extensive knowledge of the island due to his time on there. this personality remains the same more or less in this fic. the catch is dave acts more in a villainy way but he doesn't rlly have what it takes to be a villain even though a part of him wants to (hence anti-villain). as much as he pretends he doesn't, he still has emotions--just heavily barricaded, and those emotions prevent him from fully losing his head. he forms an alliance with scarlett (and maybe topher??? idk why i love that trio sm, they would be so iconic when it came to villainy; bonus if sugar informally joins too, not as like a set part of their group tho bc she has her own agenda) and has one goal in mind: to get sky eliminated. gone is the lovestruck fool, he's revenge-driven and says he doesn't have time for love bc he's in it for the competition. (idk yet if there will be love interests for him or if this is just gonna be a dave-centric fic). the finalists are prob gonna be dave and sky bc that'd be fucking iconic after the build-up

shawn & dave friendship, topher & dave alliance, scarlett & dave alliance, sugar & dave hesitant alliance, sky & dave one-sided enmity, ella & dave friendship, maybe more depth abt beardo?? or leonard?? jasmine & dave mutual wariness and distrust, chris absolutely loving this version of dave

sammy time-travel route:

development (lots of development!) on sammy's end as well as her relationship with her sister amy. she'll prob be a finalist too?? or at least in the final four/three, and idk i want it to be a sammy & amy finale but idk if that's too cliche lmaoo i think it'd be interesting!

this one's different. shortly after tdpi ended, sammy partakes in a "controlled experiment" with several other teens with the reward of getting paid a somewhat hefty amount. she decides why not, seems simple enough, but when it's her turn there's a fluke and she gets chucked back in time to the beginning of tdpi (which was the last thing she'd been thinking abt before the experiment). however, maybe one or two episodes in, she decides to take charge in the situation she's going through and adopts a 'fuck it we ball' attitude abt the whole thing where she tries to be a different person--the kind of person she's always aspired to be like but amy had always belittled her for--and this makes her less of a pushover overtime and instead more bolder and persistent in getting as far as she can.

she makes new friends that she hadnt noticed or gotten the chance to become closer with when she initially was on the show. maybe ella & sammy friendship, jasammy, either scamy or scarlett & amy 'we're gonna betray each other' alliance OR scarlett & sammy 'friendship' OR a scarlett using manipulative tactics to play both sisters, etc etc.

both her version and dave's versions of this fic idea are different bc neither of them are fixated on the prize money. they have their own agendas for getting ahead of the rest. dave for revenge and beating sky; sammy for being the person she's always wanted to be and actually moving past the box amy placed her in.

third option (that i literally thought up like ten seconds after writing the sammy route):

COMBINE THE TWO OPTIONS, that'd be pretty sick ngl like dave's on the island when he flashes back and believes he's the only one in the past, but sammy, at the same time, had partaken in that experiment and flashed back to the past too; neither know the other is in the same predicament bc they try to hide it thinking they're the only one until like...later in when they start getting Suspicious and maybe some slip-ups occur bc they're tryna keep a low-profile but things happen y'know? they're 16 year olds who figured out time-travel exists, obv they're gonna fuck around and find out. possible alliance between the two once everything is out in the open? out of pure mutual beneficiary? it'd be funny bc both their personas are on opposing sides lmaoo dave & sky finale, with sammy and amy ending up post-merge? sammy's prob still gonna be in the final four, i think, but idk abt amy lmao i still think before amy gets eliminated she and sammy have a Confrontation bc i def need sammy to confront amy one way or another lmao that girl deserves it, they deserve a Heather & Lindsay Confrontation, sammy deserves to call amy a bitch on international television

ooooh and somehow scarlett finds out?? and tries to get her hands on the technology, but obv time is finicky so dave and sammy can't rlly allow that so they gotta stop her as a joint agenda while they have their own separate ones to deal with?? so this paves way for a true scarlett villain?? she'd make it to the final five or three, i think?

for this idea, there are gonna be multiple povs--dave and sammy's--and it's gonna be multi-plot too; dave and his conflict; sammy and her conflict; and how both alter the season bc of said conflicts and their attitudes abt them; plus the scarlett conflict

(y'know what i may end up going this route lmao bc i love both separate versions and im indecisive as fuck so my motto is if you can combine the options do it!)

usually when a place or character is underdeveloped in canon, fanfic writers take it upon themselves to delve into it and expand it. but since the majority of the asoiaf fandom is racist and likes shallow, petty barb-throwing in place of actual politicking, we have thousands of fics about the vale, the stormlands, and other uber white places with characters like sansa/myrcella/or some other white oc throwing around one liners instead of fics exploring the massively underdeveloped but far more interesting and diverse essos and the characters that we have there. instead of fics about the intrigues of the meereenese court, or even the volantene political spaces, majority fic writers only write dany, or tyrion, or arya, or young griff after they land in westeros.

Don't get me wrong, hate the guy, he's awful and creepy, but he's SUCH a good villain. the actor doesn't get enough props online for how well he plays him. sandalphon had like 3, maybe 4 mins of screen time in s1? and from that, he's become one of the most HATED characters in the entire fandom. That is just like, wow, well done, I hate the character you play, but that's because your acting is amazing. ANYWAYS, sodom and gamora. aziraphales gonna be having some *feelings* about that, because why would heaven hurt all those people? even if they were sinners? similar to noahs arc situation with Crowley giving the most comfort this time <3

ok so like ive been reading some ao3 nellis fics starting from oldest to newest and sometimes they HIT the mark. they HIT that shit like a BULLSEYE with the dialogue and characterization and lore and eye color whatever etc etc

since im VERY new to the fandom (like. 4 fucking days id say) i jumped headfirst into research by going to the wikis and im like over halfway thru an 8 hr expert playthru of the entire game. since i love ellis The Most ive been watching the voiceline comps on youtube (like the ones that are from 2011 with all of his dialogue compiled into disorganized comps) and like

my point is that yes ellis is a sweet and kindhearted lovely little southern boy with a bucketload of charm and georgian hospitality. but also this guy is NOT afraid to tell u off LMFAOOOO

mostly in his rescuing(?) lines (like when a character is downed and hes helping them) he is not taking ANYBODYS shit. hes like GET THE FUCK UPPPPP WE GOTTA GO DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!

itd make sense for him to just have that sort of emotional intelligence that simmers beneath the surface and all the layers of his southern hospitality and everyone sees him as some goofy himbo. when he really takes the time and effort to remember things abt the other survivors and knows how to resolve conflicts in emotionally mature ways and knows how and when to be optimistic. hes a dumbass but in a reckless way not really in a socially-stunted way ykwim???

Okay, I've sent a lot of asks talking about my stuff, but I need to take a moment to say thank you.

I've only recently got into making art, and up until now it was slow going. Sometimes I just wouldn't have the energy to draw, or I straight up couldn't think of anything that I wanted to draw. But then I stumbled onto "Taking Life As Is" and it energized something in me.

I've been pumping out new art of completely original creatures at a ridiculous rate, taking the time to actually research real life animals for reference, something I've rarely had the patience to do before.

I can't believe it's only been 3 days since that ask where I came up with One Thousand Silent Eyes, the first OC to ever leave my brain. In 3 days, I've filled eleven whole pages of my journal. That blows my mind.

So thank you. Thank you for the wonderful story in a fandom that is desperately short on those, but more than that, thank you for inspiring me. For the first time in years, I'm creating things for myself, instead of consuming things made by others.

Without your wonderful story and constant shared excitement for not just my ideas, but everybody's awesome ideas, I don't know how long I would have gone without that drive to create. Thank you. <3

HI HELLO. UH. I needed to go lay down for a min after this so I didn't just outright start bawling my ACTUAL eyes out in a /srs way. And I just can't say enough how little my expressions of gratitude will not live up to the feelings I got. I can type abt screaming and sobbing all I want but AUGH that does NOT live up to it. So all I can do is say thank you thank you THANK YOU. Like I've stated before, I started TLAI as just. A silly little fix it fic that, I am going to tell you now, I thought I would barely get over 100 kudos in like. A month or two. My writing experience is basically sequestered to fandoms that have zero members other than myself and my dear friends, making small drabbles for said friends. AND UH. YEAH. 1 - hmmm this was hard to narrow down so i'll talk abt a specific scene that's been on my mind. okay ig honestly the detention center is Always on my mind because it's the first time we get a really good look at megumi's character and what he values. but mostly i was thinking abt the part where megumi takes the name tag from the guy he was so adamant about not saving for his mom. i don't think he changed his mind, but to me, it just shows how much he cares about his friends. like i think when he originally took it, it was so he could give it to yuuji so he could give it to the guy's mom, but then when he thought yuuji was dead, he delivered it as a way to pay respect dkfgjhd idk current top megumi moment

2 - nowadays when i rewatch it im team near & mello actually🤞 and pretty anti-light, but i think the first time i watched it, i was so wrapped up in the back & forth between light & l that i probably did root for both this was like 10 years ago tho so i dont remember fs 😭

3 - ooh i think like. in terms of writing fanfic its like when i was a kid & played w dolls like it gives me the same type of feeling, but also i've always been the type to use imagination as escapism, so being able to bring the things in my head "to life" is really satisfying as well

4 - kfgdjdkg theres so many im like always listening to something different. recently i started listening to this artist called juliet ivy, her songs are all super relatable and have a rlly whimsical sound too. another artist i'll always promote is dream, ivory, i've been a fan for a while. i've also been into deftones recently. generally im more the type to listen to random songs rather than specific artists
