So while im not a big blog or anything, but I've been reading this and thought I might be able to give my perspective as an 'outsider looking in'

How do I see big blogs?

This honestly depends on the creator, I can only speak from personal experience and everyone seems lovely but sometimes it's hard to get your foot in the door so to speak. Especially if your personal likes are slightly different to the creators you're looking at.

A big blog to me is kinda like me trying to talk to a streamer I've been watching for a while. I am a huge Sky fan in LU, I love him to bits and he is by far my favourite of the LU boys and in turn, this kinda extends outward from there. SKSW link is my fave link and he becomes my fave in every iteration of a links meet au.

This isn't to say I dont love the other links. I love them all and they are each wonderful and have so much character to them. A lot of the time I come across creators who have their blorbos that are different to mine and have different opinions and everything. And while I love having that conversation it can be a little odd, especially if I'm not as knowledgeable with that particular character.

For example, I'd love to talk about legend more, Legend is so interesting to me but I just don't know where to start! Especially if I go about asking questions cause I get worried that others have asked the same questions as me. (In the grand scheme of things I've not been in the fandom that long compared to other creators) And I don't want to come across as needy or annoying by asking these questions.

When I ask about AU's I go back through an author's au tag to see if it's been asked before. And I'm aware it's probably unnecessary cause if it has been asked before creators are chill.

Are they intimidating?

Sometimes yes. Especially if I've been looking through content and stuff for a while. I did a lot of my LU exploration on AO3 before even making an active Tumblr account and seeing names here of creators on there and talking to them about their stuff just seems so scary.

Especially as an aspiring writer myself.

Big-name LU stories that I love so much and have read so many times, things I can just shoot off. Like Elastic Heart, The Inner Hero, or Authenticity to name a few are written so damn well that I find myself comparing my stuff to theirs. (As much as I know I shouldn't. My writing style is my own)

Everyone seems so lovely, and im sure they are but it just sometimes feels like, people are having a conversation and you've walked into the room. You don't wanna bother them. In fear of annoying someone.

Is it click-y?

By this, I assume you mean the groups of people who tend to hang around each other.

Kinda?

as I said before you see these people who are having these conversations about x-y or z and you feel like you wanna hop in and join the conversation but you don't. So you wait for the conversation to play out, and this might be me with my autism, or this might be normal for everyone but, it's difficult.

You have these massive groups of people who all know each other really well and talk on the daily and interact with each other all the time and I, as someone on the outside of these things actually feel kinda lonely. I want to make more friends but I feel like a new kid in a new school some days.

This is obviously just my opinion and I don't mean to make anyone upset. I'd be happy to elaborate if people want. But I won't lie I even debated responding to this cause of some of these things. Fear of upsetting someone is a huge factor when doing something like this.

For everyone who’s worried about interacting with people on tumblr I have a pro tip:

Use ask games!! Literally the lowest entry bar.

And if that’s still too much, I got nothing 😂 just please don’t expect creators to come track down everyone who secretly wants to be friends 🫠 I see my mutuals post them pretty often so there’s a good chance you have an in with them at some point.

honestly? tumblr. 100%. theres no hidden algorithm that pushes you around for one, which is GREAT. you want to self promo by reblogging your own art? awesome! nobody will judge you for it. wanna spam a shitton of tags so it gets more reach? awesome! nobody will judge you for it! theyre hidden!

once you DO gain a following, its a lot less draining than other social media. theres no urge to want to like...Keep up, yknow? You generally wont lose followers or traction for not posting, and even then, since followers are kinda hidden outta view on tumblr its less of a factor that could weigh on you. outta sight outta mind.

tumblr feels a lot more relaxed than other sites. more natural. stuff like insta feels really performative but i find you can kinda just chill out on here. post whatever you want. no insights either on your stats and how big your reach is. its just less all-mind consuming tbh. feels healthier

instagram sucks SHIT for new artists. it took me 4 years to reach 1.8k on insta and im nearing 3k on here and ive been here less than a year posting the same stuff. the only reason i have a following on instagram at all is because the buzzfeed unsolved dudes included one of my drawings in a fanart post and it boosted my account and got the ball rolling to finally put me into The Almighty Algorithm!

instagram also has a thing where it crops the image to be a better fit for insta which is fucking annoying as all hell and sucks for artists

i didnt spend too much time on twitter, but i can say its pretty decent for artists if youre willing to self promote. specially fandom spaces, cause (idk if this is still a trend) bigger artists would go 'hey! if youre a small artist, drop some of ur art + introduce yourself and ill retweet it' which is cool! big fan of that. on the flipside youll be using twitter. which i do not recommend for anyone ever. because its twitter. like seriously that outweighs anything positive i could say about it

you get better interaction on tumblr anyway cause of the tags. people arent afraid to lose their shit in the tags when they reblog ur stuff. on twt quote retweeting steals interactions from the artists and people are a lot less likely to just comment on something. and insta ONLY has a commenting feature, and it also gets you less interaction. reblogging is the primary way art gets around here, and once it starts getting around, looking at the tags is always my absolute number one fav thing

i never actually got to play the og game growing up because i never had a pc

so i was stuck watching playthroughs for the longest time </3

i honestly cannot remember which version it was that i grew up watching. it was in the early 2010s, so it was probably the psp version! and those glitches aajhdhrjsjsjaj. it sounds so frustrating!! i had no idea they were bugged like that

as for the anime series i did end up watching it! definitely younger than i should have been doing so but i liked it!! except i was really bummed about how it had the bad end if i remember correctly?? i was(still am) a hardcore ayushiki shipper and was so sad they did yoshiki like that </3

and i have actually read the manga! or at least part of it. i just have the first volume but really wanna get the rest. i just got so caught up in dorohedoro that i ended up splurging on all the books for that instead.

ayumi hands down is my fave. i know shes a motherfucker and fucked everything up, but thats honestly why i like her. i also just love that shes a horror aficionado but is by far the biggest pussy out of everyone. her duality <3

so he quickly does a bit of a morning routine

and accidentally walks into the frame of your camera

so your family member just saw a random guy just emerge from your bedroom

so you're like ??? there's noone behind me?? and you turn around and get startled since sunghoon is just standing by the door to your bedroom

you fall off the couch and sunghoon's like "baby, are you okay???"

and he's trying to help you up

and your family member saw that mess unfold lol

after sunghoon checks up on you and the both of you sit down your family member asks a million questions and refuses to let sunghoon go out of frame for even a second

so sunghoon sits through the rest of the call next to you on the couch while you're answering all these questions your family member is asking

and he doesn't understand anything

after the call ends he probably walks back to your bedroom and falls asleep again since the encounter with your family member completely drained him of energy

since we know this boy's an introvert

and introverts have to recharge after being social and engaging with people

also the whole entire situation probably shook with him a lil

after he wakes up again he walks into the kitchen where you are and hugs you from behind

hee decided to make ramyeon and so the other members and you decided to help him and make some for yourselves

so jay and hee decided to compete and see who'd get to the phone first (since it was in the living room)

and so they ran to get it

knocking a lot of stuff over in the process

and scaring jake who went to the bathroom earlier

then jay (who was leading btw) tripped over a random bag on the floor and hee then tripped over him

when they got back to the kitchen they were a lil bruised up so you decided to take care of them first and just let the call go through

they both had some light bruises and jay somehow managed to also get a few scratches

so he was bleeding a bit

let's just say you got a beating from all his hyungs after he wouldn't stop cursing in your language

but it did take them a while to find out what all those words ni-ki is saying mean

so this child would probably teach them these words for fun

and would tell them that it means like 'i love you' and 'have a great day' or smth

but he would always laugh whenever they said any of them

and it was somewhat suspicious

which resulted in jungwon searching it up

and nearly then he nearly beat you with a pan later

too 10 zelda games and why?

an ask? sick!! ok top 10 zelda games with reason coming up! (why cant i tag asks??)

1: skyward sword (duh)- Everything about this game is amazing, the soundtrack, the Npcs that feel like people, the puzzles, the controls, just everything! The storyline was linear, but really worth it! This might seem unpopular, but i also loved fi, from her aesthetic to her theme, hell i didnt mind her tips, no matter how many times i play through the game! People say they dont like having to fight the imprisoned/ghirahim 3 times. I loved the ghirahim fights and didnt mind doing it 3 times. And while the imprisoned was annoying, it was there because of plot consistency. The old woman says that too much power will draw it out, and if that didnt happen every time yall would be complaining about plot consistency. Skyward sword also had some of my favorite characters: Ghirahim and this version of Zelda!

2: Spirit tracks (wii u virtual console): this was my first Zelda game, I used to play it at family events with my cousin on his ds because social anxiety. You might think that i have it so high for nostalgia, and while that was the case for a while, i recently got the virtual console version, and played though it twice (you know when you do something recently it loses its nostalgia?) the soundtrack was great, i loved anjean, and zelda in that game was incredible. Taking the form of a phantom to help you, literally all of zeldas and links interactions were adorable. People said hey didnt like the touch controls and while they did take some getting used to, i adjusted kinda quickly, and when i played phantom hourglass afterwards, i kept dying cause the rolls were different.

3: Ocarina of time (3D): yes i didnt have an N64, fight me. Oot is a fan favorite, and for good reasons. It basically invented the zelda formula (if i have my release dates straight?) not counting alltp. Shiek is one of my favorite characters in anything ever, and admittedly, i did get a little sad when navi left. The soundtrack is good, but short when compared to other zelda games (that and it keeps getting taken off of youtube gdi!) again, ive never had an n64, so idk what the water temple was like back then, (i know about the iron boots gear screen) but from some of my cousins reactions, it seems to be a LOT better in the 3ds version

4: A link Between worlds: This is a really solid entry in the zelda series. Its got just enough difficulty that i dont remember literally everything, but easy enough that i can listen to something like TAZ while playing and understand whats happening in both. Ravio is a good character, though i wish you could steal for him. The items system was really cool, but i like that feeling of “whatre ya gonna get in this temple” that most zelda games have.

5. Minish cap (virtual console wii u): the minish cap is an all around pretty game. The graphics are just beautiful, the soundtrack is amazing, specially minish woods! And its got another of my fave characters, Vaati! Ezlo was also a great character, and sure the kinstones are annoying if youre tyring to 100% the game as are the figures, so this is why we dont 100% things! /s

6. Majoras Mask (3D): Disclaimer: i havent finished this, i was in ikana when my sister lost our copy of the game. But i know the story. MM is a game with only 4 dungeons, so it would seem short right? No, because of the 3 day system it takes longer than expected and wants you to plan out what youre doing. It had a lot of memorable sidequests and the masks were really fun as well. The soundtrack takes those OOT sounds and creates a whole new feel and its a heckin good time!

7. Twilight princess (wii): another game i havent finished! This time because spider scary, and im worried about encountering another one. Midna is super awesome, as is the wolf form and twilight sections, but on the wii, the controls are… awful. Anyone who complains about skyward swords motion controls has obviously never played this version of the game. Zant was cool, but then he was immediately overshadowed by ganondorf with little explanation. At least in Skyward sword ghirahim makes it clear that all he wants is demises resurrection. 

8. Wind waker (HD): for a lot of people this is their favorite, but idk it just never really clicked with me. Maybe its because i saved in the wind temple and Makar vanished so i had to reset my game? The soundtrack was good, but not really my fave, and i didnt like the king of red lions all that much. But other than that, it was a pretty solid game, just not one of my faves.

9. Phantom hourglass (wii u virtual console): after i beat spirit tracks i just HAD to play phantom hourglass, and i gotta say, i was pretty disappointed… the temple of the ocean king was like the tower of spirits, but the time limit. Oh the time limit. Also they fucking nerfed tetra in this game cmon! Ceilia made navi nosies, which i found funny for some reason. Honestly, the only saving grace is linebeck. his theme is amazing, he did grow on me, and the final boss fight against him was *chefs kiss*

10: Botw (both wii u and switch): yeah i just dont really like botw all that much. Half of the soundtrack is pretty decent, but the other half is * 5 piano notes* “what you want MORE???” I didn’t like botw Zelda. At all. At best she was quirky and kinda annoying, and at worst she made me wanna slam my head into the wall. I also didnt care about the champions, no matter how much the game wanted me to. The divine beasts were pretty bad, and the shrines were just kinda tiresome. The graphics were pretty cool (THANK GOD THERE WERE NO SPIDERS) i mean its a cool game, just not a cool zelda game, ya know? Also this is the only game thats made my wii u crash. And it wasnt just one time. Do with that what you will

"y/n, i love you, but can we please go home now."

i swung our arms back and forth as we walked into the next store.

"as soon as we're done here, i know exactly what i want i just have to try it on."

he sighed heavily.

"until you find something else you like or want."

i looked over at him and smiled.

"maybe."

a tall brunette woman approached us.

"welcome in, is there something i can help you two find today?"

i nodded.

"actually im looking for formal dresses, preferably above the knee but anything works really."

she nodded.

"follow me."

we did as told as she walked us through the store, back to the back by the dressing rooms. there was a large array and i knew id get lost in them soon enough. then she stopped and turned back around.

"here we are, is there anything else i could help you with? styles? sizes?"

i shook my head, squeezing ryans hand.

"nope i think i got it from here, thank you."

she nodded.

"alright, well if you need anything else ill be around."

she walked away and i began looking through the various types of dress, short, long, satin, velvet, everything you could think of. i let go of ryans hand and started pushing a few on the rack around to find my size. when i did i held it against my body.

"thoughts?"

he slouched forward a bit, tucking his hands into his hoodie pocket.

"it looks great, lets go."

i laughed a little bit.

"i have to try it on ry."

he looked distressed.

"fine."

i shook my head at him.

"here, help me look. i wrote everything down on this note that i need. come back with at least four dresses."

i handed him the slip of paper and he just stared at me.

"really?"

i nodded, a serious look on my face.

"yes, now go."

i turned him around and pushed him further away from me, releasing him into the wild to help me find what i needed. i went back to looking, pushing dresses around looking for the right color. we had been invited to a dinner party but it was themed. the invitation said that everything had to be vary specific shades of blues, purples, or black. so far i hadnt had any luck but this store seemed promising. after about twenty minutes ryan found me again holding what i had asked him for.

"that lady said you should try these on and that she would start a dressing room for you."

he said, making me laugh. i walked to him getting on my tippy toes and kissing his cheek.

"thank you ryan, i think im done over here anyways. lets go see what these look like."

i followed him back to the dressing rooms and there was the woman standing in the doorway.

"i started a room for you, it down the hall to the left, it has your name on it so its easy to find."

i nodded, looking back at ryan impressed.

"thank you, thats super nice."

she smiled at me and nodded, watching as ryan and i walked down the corridor. he helped me hang up the few dresses i had before walking back out to the small lounge area and sitting down.

"ill be here when youre done."

i peaked out the door.

"okay but i do want your honest opinion on all these."

"yes dear."

he said, making me shake my head and close the door behind me. i started with a few of them, trying them on and giving ryan a little show as i stepped out to the lounge area and spun in a circle each time. he seemed to be enjoying himself much more now. we had agreed on a few of them that we had liked the best already but the one i had the most hope for i left for last. it was a knee length body hugging dress, that was a deep navy color and covered in glitter and and rhinestones. it was perfect for the party. i slipped it on, pulling the zipper up the side and sliding my hands down over my torso to smooth it down. it really was stunning.

"you ready? i really think youre gonna like this one."

i said through the door.

"yeah babe, come on out."

i smiled to myself as i opened the door and watched and his mouth hung open.

"wow."

was all he could muster as he just stared at me with wide eyes. i did a little twirl like i had done for the other dresses but this time making sure he saw all of me equally. the dress had ruching on the back right where the ass was, making it much more accentuated. he breathed deeply.

"its a good thing we're in public."

he breathed out, making me laugh a little bit as i straightened the fabric down against my body.

"and whys that?"

i asked in a seductive voice and he swallowed hard.

"cause that dress makes me wanna take you right here and now."

he said lowly. i winked at him.

"maybe if i buy it i can try it on when we get home so you can tear it off of me."

he groaned low in his throat as i turned to walk back into the dressing room. i laughed quietly to myself as i looked in the mirror again. if i knew that was the reaction i was gonna get i wouldve started with this dress. but then again maybe its a good thing i waited, cause now we could go home and have at it and wouldnt have to wait. i smirked at the thought and moved to unzip the dress. when it wouldnt budge i froze. with how tight this dress was, there was no way i was getting out of this without unzipping it. i tried again, holding the dress together at the side in hopes to make things easier but still no luck. then the panic set in. i tried to pull it up my thighs but had to stop at my hips. i sighed.

"hey ry!"

i called.

"yeah?"

he said concerned.

"i need your help."

"okay?"

he asked and i cracked the door open, he could barely see in enough to see what was happening.

"can you come in here for a minute?"

he raised a brow at me before pocketing his phone and getting up.

"okay?"

he asked again, looking at me as i closed the door.

"the zippers broken."

i said defeated and he drew his brows together.

"what do yo mean its broke?"

i tried to pull it down to show him and it didnt work. then he reached for it and tried, pulling harder.

"okay okay do rip it, i dont even own it yet."

"yet?"

he said seductively and i hit his chest.

"just help me get it off. if anyone has had as much practice taking my clothes off its you, now get me out of this."

he laughed a little bit before stopping and thinking. i moved to slid it up my thighs again to no avail.

"okay, hold your legs as tight as you can together and im gonna try to pull it up."

i inhaled sharply and did as told, watching him slip his fingers under the hem and pulling it up with much more luck. i let out a loud sigh as the fabric sat loosely against my waist.

"thank god."

i said relieved.

"hey its not off completely yet."

i grabbed the fabric and went to pull it over my head but this time it got stuck on my boobs. ryan just laughed.

"for fucks sake."

i said annoyed.

"here let me help."

he squished my boob enough to pull it over then moving to the next one and doing the same. when it was over he helped me pull it over my head, laughing at my exasperated expression.

"thanks ry."

i said a little out of breath. he leaned down and kissed me gently.

"anything to get you out of your clothes."

he torted back, winking at me. its a good thing my face was already flushed or he wouldve seen the mad blush he caused to crawl onto my face. i threw the dress at him and started getting dressed.

"what, we dont get to go further?"

he joked and i rolled my eyes at him.

"if we can get out of here then you can do whatever the hell you want to me when we get home."

i pulled my shirt down over my head and looked at the sneaky grin he sent me.

"anything?"

he said maniacally.

"ill think about it."

he put the dress back on the hanger and handed it to me.

Ghost BC x Bipolar Disorder

disclaimer: everyone with bipolar deals with it differently, has different symptoms, different levels, and different coping mechanisms. im just speaking from experience here cause im just not dealing with it all right now!!! wooohoo!!! ive never talked about this so if you want me to add anyone let me know. 

If hearing about mania/manic states and depressive episodes could trigger you or worsen your mental health, please don’t keep reading. all triggers in the tags as usual. also im doing it as You and not I or “their s/o” for nothing but formatting reasons and laziness. questions and concerns may be as usual directed to the confessional (ask box)

Papa II: It’s kind of difficult with him. He understands the episodes, and that sometimes you can just have regular ups and downs, and that it’s not 100% all the time. He gets depression to a certain extent too. those days you don’t want to get out of bed, don’t have the energy to cry, don’t have the energy to blink so you just let your eyes burn. and when youre up, it’s self destruction, intrusive thoughts, the screaming, the energy. Everything just feels like it’s going too fast, whether you know you’re having an episode or not. II is really good at helping you navigate your episodes. He wont push you to calm down, or tell you to “just be happy” when youre up and down. He’s good at helping things feel real. Helping you come down inside enough that you can recognize yourself in the mirror. Whether you don’t believe in medication, or went off it, or it isn’t working for you, he’ll support you no matter what and never think you’re crazy or awful or manipulating him. He knows you cant control it. 

Papa III: He tries to understand, he really does, but theres so many hard stigmas about bipolar that are hard to let go. That it’s day to day, or hour to hour moods instead of episodes that can last a few days to a few weeks. He knows it’s not his fault, but seeing you talk faster than your brain can process your words, your bursts of manic energy where you just wanna run and your bad ideas, knowing whats going on in your head, it makes him feel useless knowing theres nothing he can do to help you. All he can try to do is talk you off the ledge when you’re about to do something Not Great, and make sure to keep communication open so that if you feel an episode coming on you can try and find ways to stop it together. when you’re depressed, he tries the classic stuff to make you smile: movies, warm blankets, cuddling, forehead kisses, whatever fluff ive put in these hcs before. but it doesn’t work. it cant possibly work when you can’t stop crying and don’t even want him around. and thats a hard pill to swallow - hard to really understand its not him you don’t want around, it’s just that you don’t want anyone around. His best suggestion is to talk to a therapist because he never wants to give you any bad ideas, or bad coping mechanisms, or say something that could trigger an episode, and it’s hard for him to really understand where those lines are if theyre changing all the time (and they usually are). 

Dewdrop: he’ll vibe with you. he doesn’t really understand what you’re going through in any capacity, and why its such a bad thing when you have energy, but whatever you wanna do he’ll do it with you. if you’re manic, he’ll probably try to get on your level - and hear me out, i know this is a dangerous game and AWFUL for someone to do when you’re manic, but listen. If he tries to get on your level when you’re Up, it’s easier for him to understand what you’re thinking. If you tell him something kinda crazy you wanna do when he’s coolin, of course it’s gonna sound crazy and a bad idea and he’ll try and stop you - but that doesn’t get the Crazy out. if he’s up, he can better judge what’s a fun little reckless thing to do vs what’s actually dangerous and what to keep you away from. And he’s good at distracting. Good at steering your constantly crashing train of thought. When you’re in a depressive state, he’ll just lay there with you. he won’t try and talk it out of you, or suggest you do something fun, or tell you how everything's gonna be okay. he doesnt know that for sure and he’s not going to lie to you. but he’s figured out the more still and quiet he is when you’re down like that, the less likely you are to try and kick him out or push him away. The more he rides those waves with you the more he can understand what you’re going through, and learn about what your lines and triggers are. 

Swiss: okay i havent talked about this that much on this account (its a big part of my book haha please read it) but Swiss is Smart. like ridiculously book smart, math smart, people smart, street smart. once hes been around you for long enough, he’s sometimes better at noticing the signs of an episode before you do. He’s really perceptive when it comes to the tone of your voice, little ticks, what you’re saying, how you’re dressing. You know he’s paying attention, but he does it in a way that doesn't make you feel like you’re being watched or monitored ever. everyone knows thats fucking annoying and feels invasive as hell. When you’re manic he’s good at helping you get back to a place of center. not calm, or back to normal, but centered. grounded. it’s hard to feel like you even Exist in the same world as other people sometimes and he gets that. definitely watches how much time you spend online, cause that can make the Not Existing feeling a lot worse. When you’re low, he’s good at talking to you. he’ll direct the conversation to and from whatever you’re upset about if anything, in a way that doesn’t feel invasive or like pestering. if you dont wanna talk about whatever's wrong (and lets be honest, sometimes its Nothing) then he’ll get you to talk about something. Anything just to keep you talking. The goal isn’t to make you laugh and smile, maybe its just to make you feel less alone in the world, but if you do laugh and smile that’s just a cherry on top.

A/N: this is my first fic and i hope yall like it. This is completely unedited but i want to post it now. This part is just an introduction to reader’s pesonality. Literally all the happenings is to describe her as a person. The plot is so so far from unfolding so yeah,,,message me if you want to be tagged for the next episodes : )

“Mom please!!!! just this once okay? I promise i’ll come home all in one piece”

You’re practically giving your all with your little show of being in so much pain in front of your mom just so she can let you go to the concert you’ve been dreading to attend eversince forever with no company from her baggy shabby body guards.

“Im telling you I’ll be okay without those unnecessary bouncer looking body guards of yours. Just this once please? huh? huh?”

“First of all those body guards are skilled okay? don’t underestimate them.” Oh yeah here she is again. You have to remind yourself to not roll your eyes in front of her for you to not lose your last hope of getting a peaceful concert experience without some random guys boring holes at the back of your head the whole time. “And second, what makes you think I’m letting you get outta this house without those body guards when that concert is practically a 3 hour drive from here?”

Sigh. You already know where this is leading.

“Take it or don’t attend sweet pea, no more argument and go to bed please it’s close to midnight you still have classes tomorrow.”

What else can you do? Oh yeah nothing.

That said night, you have to climb down your way out of your room so you can have a peaceful time with yourself on the seaside. You like being alone most of the time to get things done with your art and music but sometimes the silence in your room is becoming too much for you to the point that it suffocates you and the only thing that can really help you is a fresh air and the cold but soothing sea breeze. Environment is a medicine, you don’t know if that works for other people but for you it surely does.

“I don’t know but he just told me he wants space for now and that we both have to cool down for a while.”

Lea. She’s been your friend eversince primary school. How she managed to endure you through out these years is still a mistery for you but you love her nonetheless. She’s one of the most precious things in this world that you can’t afford to lose. She’s like a treasure that you so luckily found under the sea and you don’t understand why of all people who is deserving of her, you’re the luckiest one who found her.

“Maybe he needs time to breathe? You know sometimes things become too stuffy for us and all we need is to breathe?” he doesn’t feel thrilled anymore. His heart doesn’t beat fast the way it did like before. He’s not happy anymore.

“You know we can talk about it. He doesn’t have to go through it alone. We can fix everything that’s wrong together” You hate to see her like this, completely helpless and vulnerable in front of you. The before sparkly now glassy eyes, a true indication of pain, confusion and frustration

“You know there are times when you need to help each other to find the way out of the misery but there are times where you need to find yourself first in order to do it right and for that to happen a person needs to spend time with their self alone” he doesn’t want to figure it out with you because he already knows the answer

“Maybe you’re right. Maybe he needed time to think and find himself first.”

I wish that’s really the case.

“But it hurts that I have to wait for him to fix something that I don’t know what is. He’ll have to find himself while leaving me alone in this misery, waiting for him to fix it without knowing if he will comeback after he find the answer.”

“Time can fix anything you know.” but not everything. “so give him that” cause you don’t have any choice but to.

The shiny glass covering her eyes has now broke into tears and sobs. You really hate this. You wanted to tell everything that’s in your mind without hurting her further but how could you tell someone that you don’t believe in love? that there’s no such thing as falling in love and falling out of love because you believe that falling in love in the first place is just all made up by some weird ass part of the body called brain and nothing more. How could you tell her that a person’s feelings can never be the same overtime and that the only constant thing that she could hold into is change alone.

No you can’t tell her. You don’t wanna be the reason for her tears and as much as possible you don’t want her to feel numb. You don’t need another person like you. You want her to feel different things other than not feel anything at all. Numbness will save you from the pain but feeling is a strange thing that can make a person happy, something that you lost a long time ago.

You let her lean on your shoulders until your shirt is soggy and waited until her sobs turned into small whimpers and hiccups. When it does you spoke: “Tell me something funny”. For a normal person, that small statement could have been strange (cause she’s supposed to be the one asking that) but somehow for the two of you, those words are the only ones that was able to put a small smile on your bestfriend’s face. She’s now lifting her head while wiping her tears using the back of her hands, a small smile imprinted on her lips.

“Never in a million years have I thought that me sobbing in front of you is the only way for you to tolerate my dad jokes. I should’ve known sooner”

“Don’t be too touched. Im giving this one for you because you look ugly crying like that and I can’t afford to wet my shirt further” You rolled your eyes, your right hand making its way to your pillow to throw it on her way.

“Hey!!! Just say you have a soft spot for me, no need to be aggressive for nothing” She’s practically grinning right now. You swear to god you wish you can shut her up already.

“If I knew you will be acting like this I should’ve just let you sob there until your eyeballs fell out”.

“If that’s what helps you sleep well at night, I’ll just bury the fact that you don’t want your dearest friend crying because it hurts you too. Who would’ve thought that Y/N has a kryptonite and that so luckily turned out to be me”

“Oh please your nacisissm suffocates me. Get out of my room now!” You said voice stern but not too much to actually hurt her.

“Goodnight love” she said seemingly happy as if she didn’t pour a whole bunch of tears just now. Just like that, she grab her bag and left with the biggest grin on her face that week but you know it’s not going to last because the moment she step foot on her constricted bedroom, the tears won’t help but fall and the sobs won’t have to ask for permission to come out relentlessly.

The following day you’re dressed in an extra large shirt partnered up with sane cargo pants and reebok sneakers. Coming out from your bedroom, you saw your mom downstairs talking to a tall man dressed in normal white tees and ripped jeans, your mom seemingly spewing words you can only assume to be reminders on how to take care of you during the concert and some precautionary measures on how to not lose you in the process. You rolled your eyes, purposely letting your stomp on the wood floor be heard to signal them to hurry up whatnot is left to be talked about. By the time you reached the door, the said man you don’t know the name (and is not planning to anyway) is already behind you. He smelled of vanilla soap and you noticed that he’s much taller than you, probably 178 to 180 cm. In no time, the both of you are already seated on the car. You took the passenger seat cause you like taking care of the music and that is most definitely your favorite spot while mister body guard took the driver’s seat. So he’s not just the body guard for the day but also the driver. This is going to be too easy.

“You know what let’s have a deal” The easiest way to get what you want is through talk and you know more than anyone else how to get the thing that you want from someone through words.

“Nice to meet you too miss Y/N. Your mother clearly is right. She warned me that you’ll have to ask me for a deal through out this whole drive in order to lose me and watch the concert alone. She knows you really well.”

Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. This won’t do. You didn’t see that coming.

“Do you really think that i’m going to pay you or something for you to let me go to the concert alone?” You fake smile towards him. The first time you see his features clearly and god is he ethereal for a body guard but that’s none of your business because clearly you have other things to fix.

“Maybe not pay? I don’t know, you seem more capable and smart than that, your mother told me”

Oh yeah your mother. You wouldn’t be surprised if she told him your whole life story.

“You’re taking your job too seriously, I was just gonna ask if I can suck your dick or something because you’re pretty hot but I guess you really are not into that kind of things.”

It’s his turn to be caught off guard. You will not back out to this, you are more capable on controlling a person just like what he says and that exactly is what you’re going to do now.

You almost missed the shade of pink on her cheeks because soon it’s gone and back to its normal shade. This person is something else, you know it. You need to step up your game in order to win it.

“I dont know your plan but i know that you’re up to something. Miss Y/N that’s not gonna work with me.”

This is harder than you thought it would be.

“Yadda yadda. Believe what you want sir” If you can’t get him with a talk, then there’s a whole other plan lined up just for him, you dont know until to what extent you can go but you surely know one thing, you’ll have the last laugh.

Two and a half drive. Thirty minutes before you reach the arena. There’s no sounds but The 1975 playing on the speaker of the car connected to your phone. Your bodyguard spent most of the hours concentrated on the road in front of him while you are lazily nodding your head to every song from your playlist, your head leaned on the window most of the time while you look at the trees and houses you pass by.

“Pull over. I need to pee” You said pointing to your right where variety of drive thru fastfoods can be found.

“Sure miss”

Sure my ass.

You’re walking in front of the restroom seperated from the restaurants when you notice your body guard suddenly came to a stop.

“Aren’t you going to come with me inside? I mean I might slip out?” You said voice mocking.

“No need miss, I’m just going to wait for you here” His voice is never not stable and you wonder just how some people can’t be like him. You like how confident he is and unflappable almost.

“You know what my offer from earlier is still up.”

He seems confused at first but in no time, he came into the realization and there comes his wide eyes and rosy cheeks on full display for you.

“You act like a virgin” And then you smirked and left. Teasing him is fun and you decided you’re up for that.

It’s not like you to throw out things just carelessly because you treasure everything under your property but you don’t have any choice now. Wrapping up all your colorful clothes together, you throw it to the bin. You’re now in your black fitted shirt and denim shorts. You decided to remove your bun too. The only reason you wore those huge ass t shirt and cargo pants is in order to have another pair of clothes inside for the sole reason of disguising and you’re pretty much sure that this time it will work. Holding your wallet containing money and two of your tickets (one from your mother and one you bought for yourself because sure as hell the ones from your mom has the seat next to your body guard), you leave the bathroom acting so casually as if your bodyguard isn’t just standing there outside the restroom.

When you reach the nearest cafe without a body following behind you, you let a smirk make its way to your face. Bingo. Now you wait for your uber driver.

You can’t be more happy. You’re going to see your favorite artist and will be able to dance like crazy without a single soul caring. Holding your ticket, you hand it to the person standing on the entrance and eventually you’re inside the venue. You chose to buy a standing ticket because you’re pretty sure that this concert will turn to a party in the middle and you want the best experience to enjoy the music that you waited for so long to hear live while your body act on its own.

Three hours and it’s almost past midnight. The band is playing their last song. You’re physically exhausted for spending the whole time singing the lyrics on the top of your lungs, screaming and dancing nonchalantly. You can feel the energy being drained out of your body. It’s a good thing that the band decided to end the whole concert with a soft melody song about heartbreak (or is it first love? you don’t know. you don’t really care since it’s your least favorite). You close your eyes listening to the song while swaying your whole body. You feel peace while listening to the soft melody and you can’t help but continue doing that until 30 seconds before the song would finish. The moment you open your eyes, you see him. His eyes, was it like this earlier? As if it holds the dust in the universe in it? His mole under his mouth, was it there earlier? Everything looks so real and clear and for a moment you thought it was real when suddenly.

“Did you enjoy the concert miss?”

“How exactly did you find me” You allowed yourself to look at him for a second before bringing your eyes back to your phone to scroll for music while again leaning your head on the window just like earlier.

“Let’s say I waited just a couple of distance from the entrance and I saw you there.”

“You’re impossible” He smiled. Oh he smiled? “So you saw all of that?”

“All of that miss”

Fuck.

“You’re a creep”

“You dance well”

At that you hiss.

“Fuck you”

He’s annoying.

“You lost in this one”

“You did your job pretty well. Let’s not see each other again. Yeah?”

“Im afraid that can’t happen”

Here’s my “overall” Cas meta from a while ago, nothing’s changed and a few other meta writers added to it so it’s a good view I think as to the whole concept:

It’s a really crappy topic for divisiveness, in my experience the people who have, relatively, as much as possible, objectively analysed the author intent in the show have come to a pretty solid conclusion within the meta community that Human!Cas appears to be endgame based not on his experience as a human but the outcome, his overall arc since season 4 and the Chekhovs gun style flamingly blatant reminders throughout the show such as the repeated asking him if he wouldn’t rather be human, his choosing to be an Angel to go into battle powerful enough to save the people he loves and putting what he wants to one side and his clearly not wanting to be a soldier anymore.

It’s kind of like saying endgame Dean is for him to be emancipated and being able to openly watch Oprah and Disney etc even though on the surface he says he doesn’t like that stuff. Because the pretty obvious sublimation is there.

With Cas the sublimation isn’t quite as clear but it’s really all there. Yes he suffered as a human but he literally came out of it and said he missed it, while previous to being human he was curious and wanted to try human things (eg kissing meg) and afterwards we’ve seen him actively choosing to act more human, smiting less and fist fighting instead, acting more human, I mean the big one for me was when Dean asked him “and you’re okay with that?!” When he told him he got grace back to be able to fight and he just totally brushed it off saying he needed it to fight:

He later takes more grace which he had been previously rejecting but only to save Dean and then took his own grace back when again it’s needed for a fight whilst telling us the quote that the craziest thing a man can do is die.

He’s literally saying he’s killing himself / his wants for the greater good.

He needs grace for the fight and to be a good useful soldier and to save his family but does he want it?

One of the biggest themes of the show.

Cas needs his grace to be useful when times are hard but is that what he wants?

In my opinion the show has repeatedly emphasised that it isn’t. I also think it’s clear he doesn’t want to be a soldier anymore and these things go hand in hand.

Others may use canon to say they think it is. Both interpretations are totally valid as long as they are based on canon and actually analysing the canon in a consistent manner.

The issue I have is certain people cherry picking and projecting their stories into it and claiming it’s an overall Cas’ arc since inception meta. That’s just not how meta writing works.

You can absolutely write that stuff but you can’t claim it’s objective and fully inclusive of canon and logical when it is just picking parts that fit your own desire for the character. Like, I didn’t want Lucifer to be centre stage in s13 but I didn’t just ignore it when it was.

Cherry picking things ie the one time Cas said “I just wanna be an Angel” when he was depressed, distraught at Dean’s death and wanted to stop feeling things as proof it’s what he really wants isn’t what I’d call meta writing of the whole story. That’s like saying Sam really wants to be a hunter and tag along beside his brother in the impala on the road for the rest of his life because he was a depressed, vengeful mess after Jess’ death and said ok let’s go. Is it really what Sam wants for himself and the rest of his life though? No way! That’s been clear too.

Even worse when some people claim to be bullied or triggered by other view points. Someone even screenshotted a few sentences I wrote that if you took away the top and bottom sentence looked like I was making no sense and anti Cas (me anti Cas. Lmao) but in the context obviously made sense and decided to create a wank storm about it because they didn’t like human cas meta and wanted to make me look bad. People need to grow up. This isn’t a meta discussion about interpretation it’s being a dick and being unable to contemplate another interpretation.

It makes a discussion totally impossible which moots the entire point of blogging on tumblr in the first place.

Absolutely all interpretations are valid, it’s just a case of how you pitch your interpretation. If you want to state your interpretation of a character absolutely go for it! I used to be all up for Angel!Cas meta until a few utter assholes decided to be personal and ridiculous about it. Now I don’t touch it with a barge pole. Same as M*gstiel.

But that doesn’t invalidate anyone’s good, thought out, canon analysing endgame Angel!Cas meta.

For example my own interpretation of the siren episode is different to many other meta writers, we can discuss it and have polite and great conversations without getting triggered / defensive because we aim to discuss author intent, our own interpretations and do so in a civil manner. There’s one meta writer in particular I’ve had altercations with in the past over some differences of opinion on speculative things and ways of writing meta but who I get on well with, admire and like talking to because we are adults and literally get over it.

There’s also a few people who unfortunately though I agree meta wise about things on the show have been so nasty irl to myself and others that I’ve cut them off completely.

Interpretations are interpretations until they are canon, I’m lucky that most of mine have become so or are clearly on their way but I can also be wrong ie I thought Asmodeus would be more important to character exposition than he was, life moves on. I also didn’t realise quite what it would mean that he would be a Bucklemming own concept and not really used by anyone else, I thought perhaps he’d be used by others by the wasn’t, now I have that knowledge in my pocket meta on anything that sets up for Bucklemming use is kinda meh don’t bother analysing it much it’s probably not hugely important to the overall story being told by the showrunner, ie Nick.

All interpretations are valid is very true. Eg. I can interpret Cas’ story as a metaphor for a queer kid (and in particular trans) coming from a conservative family and emancipating themselves and someone else can interpret it as an immigrants story.

If the show starts changing this then I will change my meta, because my meta is an analysis of what the show is doing, not what I want. For example I never wanted Dean to be queer representation, I was totally heteronormative and would have been totally cool with him ending up alone or with a woman, it’s the show that made me want something different for him through consistent and repeated canon blatant hints at something else. Same as Cas, I was totally ready in season 4 to just like him as a cool character and for him to bog off back to Heaven after being useful but he was captivating as an ally and it grew from there. For ages I would totally have put to one side the hints at a romantic part of his story and loved for him to become the third brother, it’s the show that made me see more between him and Dean, I never would have imagined that myself, I was a boring heterormative adult more interested in the individual characters’ stories than shipping, I thought shipping was just maritime transferral of goods before I was like wtf and googled Destiel after 10x05 cos I’d finally found a name for what I’d been seeing evolve for 6 years.

Sam goes for Cas’ own individual arc and what he wants. I never had a clue what I wanted from him until the show told me what I should want by repeating something clearly over 10 years. If they suddenly change any part of the story then they change it (and I’ll be annoyed they changed something so entrenched but I’m not going to bitch @ tptb for it or whatever, it’s their choice, they’re the creator and once it’s changed I’ll meta that) but so far it’s been the same, clear story to me for 10 years.

An interpretation is an interpretation but it’s when you start, as I do and some others do, saying you believe this one is the authors intention that you have to be more careful about backing it up with canon and logic and not getting #triggered when someone disagrees.

If you’re going to pitch it as what you believe the author intent is then you have to leave your personal projections at the door and work solely based on the canon, the production, what the author may have said outside of canon etc. It has nothing to do with your own wants for the character or show.

It also means when someone has valid canon supported arguments to the contrary you can have a really interesting discussion and I love that.
