Are you a Good Samaritan sitting in a cafe line, feeling gripped by the Spirit of Generosity?
Are you considering starting a "Pay it Forward" chain by paying for the patron behind you?
Consider instead! Tipping your barista or server the full price of your drink or meal.
Remember, our society grinds to a halt without the labor of the least compensated workers. Please consider them if you're feeling generous.
#the holidays#pay it forward#there's lots of other ways to give#but if you specifically want to accomplish it in a cafe or whatever#then this could be a good choice for you

Gift Giving (hypmic)
Hypmic characters and the gifts they give you
Featuring EVERYONE (excluding Rei and Saburo)
âïœĄÂ°â© âïœĄÂ°â© âïœĄÂ°â©
Buster Bros
Ichiro
I feel like heâs the type of guy to gift you experiences rather than physical items. Heâd take you to a fancy cafe youâd been eyeing, maybe a movie you wanted to watch, possibly even plan a surprise picnic!!
He dresses up for the occasion too! Even if you donât expect it, heâs out of his usual jacket and attire- sporting something he seemingly newly bought. Ichiro will absolutely light up in smiles if you compliment his outfit and effort.
Ichiro feels like his time with you is more valuable than any gift he could give. He has so many other responsibilities on his shoulders so he uses his âgiftsâ to make up for any time lost.
Jiro
Jiro worries himself over trying to come up with a gift to get you. He doesnât have much money, with most of his salary going towards helping his siblings. When the time comes to give you a gift, heâs embarrassed- bumbling over himself with apologies for the supposed shittiness of his gift.
But oh, oh, oh heâs so sweet :C. Heâll hand make a card for you, educating himself on paper craft so itâs the cutest it can be. Thereâs paper cuts that litter his hands as he gives it to you.
Jiro immediately leaves the room, not wanting to see your face as you read the letter, in which he pours his heart out for you to fully see. Run after him and kiss his face will you?
Saburo

Mad Trigger Crew
Samatoki
Samatoki gives you a leather wallet... that he made himself!!
One of the old men who he buys meatbuns from told him about a class that would 'fit his vibe.' And when he begrudgingly took the class, the old man was totally right! Samatoki gets really into the task, hiding the new hobby from you because he wants to surprise you with a gift at the end of the class.
When he hands you the wallet, you can tell it wasn't professionally made. There's stray burn marks on the front, mildly messy seams holding it together, and a tag inside that is signed with his initials and yours inside of a heart. Samatoki is so, so proud of showing you his accomplishment though- and hopes you enjoy it as much as he enjoyed making it.
Jyuto
Jyuto gets you a personalized music box.
It's of your favorite song. One you would always play for him whenever you were given aux in the car- that he would always playfully say was becoming annoying to hear. One he only seemed to tolerate instead of actually enjoy listening to it.
But he knows the joy it brings you to listen to. He sees the smile on your face when you turn the volume louder, the shine in your eyes when it surprisingly comes on the radio. It's why, despite his mild dislike of it, he buys you a music box so you could play it whenever you want. Just so he can see your smile whenever he can.
Rio
Rio is a man of practicality. So he gets you a self care box!
He kind of throws everything into it, multiple body washes and bath bombs, a variety of different scents- he has more experience in self preservation instead of self care. But just from the amount of... stuff inside- it's clear he thought a lot about it!
When he gives the box to you he has a little trouble explaining what it's for. It's a rare sight to see, Rio stumbling flustered over his words trying to explain he wanted to make sure you were taking care of yourself in ways outside his understanding. If you offer to show him how to use all the stuff he got you, he'll gladly accept!
Fling Posse
Ramuda
Ramuda gives you an outfit he specifically designed! In his mind, there's nothing more meaningful than something made from hand.
Heâs poured over it for weeks, wanting it to be absolutely perfect for his perfect partner. Ramuda knows your tastes to the smallest detail, so he knew just what to do to make sure you'd like it. And its comfortable too!! Made with the softest fabric he could buy, so despite whatever flashiness it has it's super comfy to wear.
When actually giving it to you, he makes you model it right in front of him! He's kicking his feet and squealing as you twirl around in whatever he gives you, excited to see you in something he created.
Gentaro
mfeafeiafjewamawe Gentaro gifts you a notebook.
It's unsuspecting first, with a plain, brown, leather bound cover. He's unusually casual about it too, handing it to you under his sleeve with a meek smile. Usually, Gentaro would make a show about whatever gift he gives you, jokingly saying you should bow to his feet in praise for his effort.
However, once you open up the notebook, you'd find it's filled with words of love. Poems, short stories, letters, all of it written by Gen to you. It's so, sickenly sweet and romantic you'd never expect it from him. When you look back at him after peeking through, he's red in the face, flustered to hear whatever feedback you may have.
Dice
Dice gives you a special lucky charm!!
He spent months hunting it down. Seeking through pawn shops and all the shady back alley sellers he knows. When Dice gets a good idea in his mind, he sticks to it thoroughly, the only thing on his mind being the joyous reaction he expects you to have.
And what does he give you? The matching piece to his earring of course! If you don't wear earrings, he'll have it converted to a keychain so you can carry it on your bag. Dice thinks it's the perfect good luck charm, both for him and for you :3
Matenro
Jakurai
fewafewafewfeaw Jakurai gets you one of those mini books that's like "30 things I love about you."
You know, the ones that have a different prompt for each page that you have to fill in. Despite the small space, he gets really detailed, and it's so sweet and romantic and yuck !!! They're all wildly different responses, ranging from how he thinks you always look wonderful to how he thinks you truly saved his life just by being in it.
When Jakurai hands the book to you he's shy about it, apologizing about the responses because he wasn't able to fit all he wanted to say. Of course, he'll gladly say it in person if you're insistent đđđ
Hifumi
Hifumi comes to your door with a bouquet of flowers. He's all smiles as he stuffs petals and stems in your face.
Ooh, he was insistent on picking out the flowers himself. Hifumi has a company discount with the local flower shop his club works with- so he was all in on getting as many different flowers as he could find (as in, all the flowers he found pretty[as in, all of them]).
He also put together the bouquet himself!! It's a little messy, with some broken stems and falling petals. However, he's just so happy to give it to you that you can't help but find it adorable.
Doppo
Doppo gets matching keychains for you guys!
He likes being subtle about a lot of things, including his affections. The keychains he gets are the type that look regular on their own, but together they can link to form a heart or your initials or something romantic like that.
Doppo will often link your keychains together in public, smiling to himself as he sees the connection. Whenever he gets anxious in public and he's alone, he'll hold onto the keychain tightly, being reminded of you. Yes, while it was a gift to you it also was a gift to himself, to have a reminder of you with him always :CC
Bad Ass Temple
Kuko
Kuko is so shit at giving gifts I'm so sorry. He has to ask his friends what gifts to get you and they're all so sick of it LMAO. Ichiro tells him to take you out somewhere, and that eventually gives him the perfect idea for a gift.
Kuko says his gift to you is a day of him being on his best behavior. He says it with a smug smile, expecting you to tell him how good of a present it is and is shocked to see your confusion.
He gets legitimately upset when you tell him that his best behavior shouldn't be a gift. The day ends with him promising you that he'll get you an even better gift next time, which leads him back to the drawing board as this dude is just so, so shit at giving gifts.
Jyushi
Jyushi writes a song for you!
He's not the lyricist for his band but he has a heavenly voice to back up whatever he writes. But he puts EVERYTHING into writing the song for you. Jyushi throws in references to your relationship, to specific dates or moments in time, to things only the two of you would know. He sees it as his magnum opus, and is very very proud of being able to perform it to you.
If his band doesn't want to perform the song with him he makes Kuko and Hitoya help him. Sure, it may have taken a few tear filled begs, but with their help he's able to perform the song he spent so much time working on, just for you
Hitoya
Hitoya makes you a playlist!
He's a bit of a classic guy, and would've made you a mixtape if anyone still used those on the daily lol. There's a lot of different memories within your relationship related to different songs, and he wanted to compile all of them for you two to listen together. Hitoya makes the picture of the playlist a photo of you two on your first anniversary, one where you're holding hands by the sunset and smiling.
It's sweet, cause he plays it first without telling you what it is. With every song that passes you recognize where it's from, and he's left smiling like a kid when you beam with joy asking him if he really made a playlist for you.
Dotsuitare Hompo
Sasara
Sasara gets you a build-a-bear bear!!
He goes in store alone to buy it, and goes a little overboard in designing it. Sasara gets a bunch of overpriced accessories, stuffs it a little too much with stuffing, and picks one of the most expensive dolls because it was the cutest.
Sasara records his own voice messages so they could play whenever you squeeze the doll's hand. And oh my goodness, he recorded so many. There's multiple shitty jokes, several wild compliments, and a myriad of 'I love yous' said in various different tones. Just don't hug it too much, he might get jealous ehehe.
Rosho
Rosho gets you whatever you want.
He gets really concerned when trying to get you gifts, worrying over what you would like best, if you already have it, or if you'd think it's too much/too little. So, eventually he'll just go ahead and ask you what you want as a present.
As long as it's in reason, of course. If you say some ludicrous thing like a yacht or a new car, Rosho will get sad and say you know he can't afford such luxurious (why would you do that to him LMAO). But he'll take you to the shops and have you pick out anything you want, buying it with no question as he just wants you to know he loves you so so so much :CC

Hi!!! Can I request a one shot for Satoru with little sister reader? His little sister is a sorcerer too but she's not gifted with six eyes and limitless curse technique like him. Because of that she always gets compared to Satoru. However, Satoru always reassures her that she can get stronger and always be her number one supporter. They train together and if anyone ever tries to make her little sister down he'll always be there to defend her and comfort her afterwards.
Gojo's Little Sister | Gojo x SIster!Reader :)
Being Satoru Gojo's little sister was not easy. He was blessed, or cursed one would say, with both the six eyes and the limitless technique while I was only able to use simple techniques, similar to Maki Zenin, but at least I had some cursed energy to begin with as she had none at all.
My specific skill set was that I was able to use electricity to my advantage to take down opponents, however, I was nowhere near as strong as Satoru.
"What's wrong, y/n?" Gojo asked as he ruffled my hair. We had been training all afternoon and I felt like I was getting nowhere. Even though the strongest sorcerer alive was training me, I couldn't help but to be seen as anything less than his baby sister.
"I just feel overwhelmed, Satoru." I answered, trying to make it out as if I was just tired and not insecure about my abilities. The Gojo clan was notorious for being judgmental and being overbearing. I didn't want my inability to be as strong as my older brother to get in his way.
"You've been training hard all afternoon, however, it seems like you just want to give up." He said, looking down at me as I was sitting on the training room floor. He could always read me like a book.
"To be honest, I just don't feel up to par with you, Satoru. I just⊠want to be just like you." I confessed, feeling ashamed at my lack of accomplishments.
I was ten years younger than Satoru. He was twenty-eight while I was eighteen. He had accomplished so much, being the world's strongest sorcerer and also being one of the most sought out teachers of this generation. Most people didn't like him or his childish antics, but I looked up to him.
"Does it bother you? Being my little sister? I don't want you to ever feel as if you live in my shadow, y/n." He would say as he reached his hand out and pulled me up off the floor. As I stood up, I lost my balance and fell down. He reached his hand back out before telling me to get up and try again.
"Satoru, people talk about me." I told him out of confidence before trying to hit the target. "They say I'm nothing like you and that I don't belong within the Gojo bloodline in general and I'm starting to believe them."
The look on Gojo's face was unbelievable as he heard the news of his little sister's sad, but true, feelings.
"We're done training for the day. Let's go get something sweet to eat and we can spend some time together instead." He smiled, holding out his hand. I smiled back at him, allowing him to take my hand and lead me outside.
Once we reached the cafe where we were getting Mocchi, he looked at me randomly and said something I will never forget.
"Y/n, you are perfect the way you are. Don't you dare let anybody else tell you otherwise. All you have to do is work harder and you'll get there. I'm here to help you no matter what." He said with a smile.
My heart felt warm and fuzzy as my older brother spoke these words of affirmation. I knew he loved and cared deeply about me and would do anything for me. That was the day I decided to do whatever it takes to make him proud of me. I was happy to have him as my big brother.

seasons greasons :) if you're up to it, could we perhaps some HCs for how the yakuza guys like to spend the holidays with their S/O? regardless of whatever they celebrate, ofc. the winter season is quite festive for all sorts of stuff. hope you're feeling alright btw! stay cozy and healthy ( Ž)ïŸ(._.`)
SEASONS GREASONS skskskskskks u have my whole heart for that, also YES you can. Thanks for the well wishes too, unfortunately I have been slain by COVID so the sickness will continue. Doing my bestest though, headcanons below da cut.
Kazuma Kiryu
Lots of Christmas shopping for the kids at Morning Glory. Getting hot drinks and walking around together during a snowfall. He wouldn't expect you to do this with him but he likes to volunteer at events, like soup kitchens for the homeless, during this time of year.
Majima Goro
Him want go see the big fancy holiday lights with you. That's it. He just wanna go see some neat decorations and ooo and aaa. Also just wants to drink hot drinks and eat hot food with you.
Saejima Taiga
Doesn't care for public holiday events so much but he WILL be making a giant cauldron of homemade soup for you both. You don't have to help out but he would love it if you did!
Akiyama Shun
Not much a festive guy, typically spends holidays just sleeping a lot. Would go out for a particularly fancy dinner with you though. Does tag along for Christmas shopping if only to take notes on what you seem to like so he can buy it for you later.
Tanimura Masayoshi
He's pretty new at dating so he doesn't know what couples do for holidays but his personal tradition is making tons of handmade dumplings at Homeland and handing them out to all the families in the international district. He'd love it if you tagged along to help, maybe even tying some cute bows on the baskets before delivering them together.
Ryuji Goda
Big of heart and dumb of ass man Ryuji's favorite holiday thing to do is to make literally everyone in the Omi Alliance decorate the HQ. That includes you. Of course, since you are his literal favorite person, you get first and last say of what goes. It's really fun for the both of you, running around and throwing up decorations, telling grunts to put that there and not over there and what the hell were they thinking putting those lights with that color ribbon.
Nishikiyama Akira
He wants to visit all the cutest cafes and try their seasonal items. Nothing like a cutesy dessert for two... or two desserts. Or three. Also likes to wear matching scarves or matching gloves.
Daigo Dojima
He's also fairly unfamiliar with what couples do during the holidays but he's trying his best. Will take you out for a nice dinner for sure. He tends to prefer attending winter festivals instead of events for more modern holidays so if you're willing to try that, he'd love to go with you! His personal favorite holiday tradition is just enjoying hot tea while watching snow fall.
Mine Yoshitaka
He's pretty inward most of the time so holiday chaos just makes him want to stay home. Usually just decorates inside of his own home, he's not really religious but he likes the appearance of a Christmas tree so he typically goes with that. Would love to shop for some ornaments for you to hang up specifically.
Tatsuo Shinada
Literally all he wants to do is wear a Santa hat. That and probably go bar hopping on Christmas Eve. He's all about just relaxing and having a fun time, so long as he's with you. Would go caroling with you, although be warned he sings a little off key.
Ichiban Kasuga
He's probably one of the few out of all the boys that genuinely isn't picky about doing much during the holidays. As long as he gets to spend time with his loved ones, he's content. If it snows, he's definitely starting a snowball fight though. Would love to check out a holiday market with you though!
Tianyou Zhao
This silly head is making truck loads of homemade steamed buns and drinking a lot of tea and nothing can stop him from accomplishing his tasty holiday mission. He'd love to teach you how to make the buns. Likes watching you proudly place them in the steamer after he's filled them up.
Joon-Gi Han
His ass don't know nothin' about holidays! No, seriously, he's so confused. "Why's there a man in a red suit at the mall today?" Mostly just curious and kind of enamoured by all the activity spiking up all around the city. He's never really had a Christmas or much of any kind of holiday so you'll probably have to show him the ropes. Hot cocoa ends up being his favorite thing.

in character questionsÂ
Answer these in character, and feel free to add gifs into your answers.
1.) What did you want to do with your life when you were younger? What would the child version of yourself think about the path you paved for yourself?
When I was younger, I really wanted to be a pro ball player. Football, more specifically. I always thought Iâd play through college, and then get drafted into the NFL. Obviously, things didnât happen like that, and thatâs totally fine. It wasnât for me. I think a younger version of me would be proud of myself. And, Iâm not just saying that either. Even though I didnât go pro, Iâm doing something I love. Iâm learning, Iâm growing, and Iâm appreciating myself more than I ever have.
2.) What is your proudest accomplishment? Donât be afraid to talk about what it took to achieve it and how you feel about it as well.
My proudest accomplishment was honestly graduating college. Getting through school- primarily middle and high school- was a challenge I wasnât prepared for on any level. I made a lot of mistakes, and I did a lot of stuff Iâm really not proud of. But, I pushed through. I made it. I survived.
3.) If you could do anything you wanted for one whole day, what would it be and why?
I would start the day off with a nice cup of coffee on my porch, enjoying the sunrise, and just listening to the birds as they sing. Then, I would magically appear at a Bears game, one that would go into overtime, and would be a nail biter to the very end (until they won, of course). Iâd have dinner at my favorite cafe in town, and then Iâd close the day by reading one of my favorite books.
where are they now?
Dave Ean Karofsky was raised in a loving home, by accepting parents. His father, James, was a salesman with a good career, making more than decent money, though not enough to classify the family as traditionally wealthy. His mother, Kathy, was an art teacher for the majority of his life. Everything seemed happy, healthy, and wholesome within the Karofsky family, though things with Dave often seemed just a *little* bit off. Well-adjusted wasnât how the majority of people would have ever described Dave as a child. It seemed as though he was always searching for something different, something more, something outside of the traditional Karofsky days.
Moving into middle and high school was tough for Dave, and once he fully realized how truly cutthroat those age groups could be, he knew he had to do something. So, he altered himself. Similar to the color-changing chameleon, Dave began to do whatever he had to in order to fit in. He took up football, changed his personality, and launched himself into popularity. However, once again, no matter what he did or how hard he tried, something just didnât quite seem to fit. It was that knowledge, that feeling, which began to fuel Daveâs anger. Heâd worked so hard to force himself into a mold, he began to feel a sense of anger towards those who simply couldnât be bothered to care.
Moving into high school, he began to realize exactly what those feelings were, and where they stemmed from. The realization that he was gay was a slow one, and when it finally shifted into a realization, Dave was absolutely lost. His anger grew, as did his discomfort, and his desperation to be what heâd always thought he wanted to be- just like everyone else. Once things came to light, and after all was said and done, Dave was so completely ostracized for who he was, he couldnât take the pressure. One heartbreaking attempt later, and he began to realize that no matter what the opinions of others were, at the end of the day, they simply didnât matter.
Once he had that realization, everything changed. Dave became something he couldnât ever truly remember being- happy. He continued playing football, and passed each of his classes with flying colors. Heâd always been intelligent, though allowing himself to fall fully into who he truly was lead him to the top of his class, where he graduated as Salutatorian. College was even better. He continued playing football, though he decided to major in Biology Education, wanting to have an impact on lives during a time that had been so important to him.
During college, Dave met his first boyfriend, and lost his virginity. Things didnât work out, and that relationship was followed with a string of several others that didnât work out, though he saw each of them as a lesson, and held no hard feelings. It was no secret that one of his exs, Blaine Anderson, was someone he fell deeply for, though it was another which simply didnât work out. After college graduation, Dave returned to Lima. Though he hadnât originally planned to do so, however his mother, Kathy, had fallen ill and his father desperately needed his help. He took a job at McKinley High, and moved in with his parents. After a few years, he bought his own place on the outskirts of town- a peaceful home in the woods, not too close to town but not too far from his mother. Though his mother is still going, she is very ill, and Dave still does what he can to take care of her, and to help his father with anything the pair needs.

This is gonna get weird alright let's get into creating a new OC the 2 songs
Happy Face by Jagwar Twin and Natural by Imagine Dragons
With this combination, we get someone specifically unhinged and morally grey perhaps very morally grey.
The character: Lucy, a master of disguise who once saw the brighter side in life before she went through situations that have left her very cold, jaded, and cynical, she was once a hero but no longer subscribes to that way of thinking and has become more of a unhinged anti-hero who is one step away from crossing the line if she doesn't keep herself in check. A woman with ruthless ambition and the skills to put on as many masks as she needs to in order to accomplish her goals.
Their Lover is represented by the songs...
What You Gonna Do About It By Flux Pavillion (cheeky aren't we), and Rule #21 - Momento Mori by Fish In A Birdcage.
I am going to say with this combination we are dealing with a Vampire who currently gives zero crap about most things.
So their lover is a Vampire by the name of Bixley, an Englishman or previous Englishman who once perhaps had a fear of death but, after coming to terms with his own death, has come to live life day by day doing whatever he pleases within his own limits of reason, a cheeky, sarcastic sort of fellow who has terrified many by well never actually sleeping for the most part and will often be found at a cafe under the noonday sun intentionally dressed like a Vampire from Hollywood b movies mostly because he finds it amusing, after all what are they gonna do about it?
The song on how they meet is shown by the song The Mystic by Adam Jensen.
In the process of dumping a body into the river, he is floating by pretending to be a corpse and the moment she dumps the body he comes alive freaking her out before saying something like "Don't know why you wanted to drown the man he's already dead."
What happens in the end is represented by The Invisible Girl by Parov Stelar.
The tune is upbeat, energetic, fun, good vibes soooooo I am thinking...
Lucy has come to enjoy life more and doesn't feel to put on so many masks anymore in order to go about her life, and Bixley is well... still Bixley, but maybe he's come to terms with his past finally. I'm thinking a dance scene or a cool fun walk away/drive away from a successful job well done, maybe it's a heist, maybe there's explosions, maybe there's police sirens, or maybe it's just another normal night seemingly to the public but little do they know something epic has gone down the scene, what happened doesn't matter so much. What does matter in this case is that they're having fun together and not taking life so seriously anymore.
Using Spotify Wrapped
Your #1 and #10 songs represent your next OC. Your #25 and #50 songs represent their lover. Your #75 song represents how they meet. Your #100 song represents what happens in the end.
What are the song titles?
(If you don't want to make new OCs or plots, what OCs are all of the song titles for?)

I Want The Best Intellectual Property Lawyer Near Me
Because intellectual property law is still developing, there are still many unopened boxes, this area of law has had significant advances, but it also confronts multiple challenges that must be addressed in order to eliminate barriers to its development.Â
When it comes to dealing with these sorts of problems, the work of an intellectual property lawyer is extensive and multifaceted, thus an ip lawyer must be competent and recognized for possessing certain fundamental abilities that can assist them flourish in this new area of law.
Fundamental Skills to Find: Intellectual Property Lawyers
Skills to Deal with Oppositions:
There have been a lot more challenges and opposition since pre-registration. Therefore, legal advice is an all-time requirement for many filing trademark applications.Â
The amount of work is increasing considerably more quickly than lawyers as well as law firms can now handle. As a result, both the charges and the margins are relatively substantial.
Being efficient with trademark registration, especially for handling oppositions and dealing with them, is a surefire way to secure an excellent position as an IP lawyer.
Skills for Conducting Due Diligence
Due diligence in this particular domain is specialized. Many significant companies that are for auction, have sought to list, or are even searching for substantial amounts of financing require the service for due diligence in IP.Â
The buyer, investor, or financier usually becomes the one who benefits from the services being provided. Therefore, various law firms are frequently used to carry out IP due diligence.
Skills to Calculate the Damages Incurred
Calculating damages in cases of intellectual property infringement is one of the most challenging responsibilities.Â
In the majority of instances, if someone's violates your intellectual property, you are entitled to all of your damages in addition to whatever financial losses you may have endured as a consequence of the infringement.Â
The need for lawyers who can use financial frameworks to estimate or measure such damages and then prove them in court is always high.
Skills to Register Trademarks that are non-conventional
Usually, any traditional word or image marks the most valuable trademarks.Â
For example, there has been an effort to register Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity nuns' blue-bordered sarees. Sandesh's textures, etc. are all excellent examples of such trademarks.Â
The unusual accomplishment of registering such trademarks can make or break your professional record if you have the expertise and experience involved.
Skills to Draft a Franchising Deal
Franchise deals are becoming more and more prevalent. You probably notice a lot of franchised businesses these days.Â
McDonald's, Kidzee, Apple stores, and Cafe Coffee Day are just a few examples that are well-known. These franchisee agreements are very complicated, and the paperwork must be in excessive detail.Â
As an ipr lawyer if you work for the franchisor, you may easily bill lakhs for creating and providing advice on a franchisee contract.
Skills to Draft an Application for a Patent
Although only a registered patent agent is allowed to file a patent application, lawyers have developed an ingenious workaround. They managed to have the inventor self-file the application.Â
However, regardless of whether or not you meet the requirements for a patent attorney, if you know how to create patent claims, how to plan to guarantee that the application gets approved, or if you can secure provisional patents for applicants, these abilities are uncommon and in high demand.Â
If you are an ip attorney, you must undoubtedly make it a point to acquire these abilities.
How to Find the Most Desirable intellectual property rights lawyer?
There are some established ways to find such a desired lawyer for your specific need. They are:
Obtain recommendations from friends, colleagues, or close relatives who have in the past employed an IP attorney.
To get a suggestion for an intellectual property lawyer, you get in touch with your jurisdictions or local bar association to get an exhaustive list of top IP lawyers in your area.
To find a lawyer with expertise in intellectual property that will satisfy your demands, you can make use of online legal services like Lead India to connect with the top ipr attorney in India.
To preserve and defend your IP rights in every area and against rising market competition, you should hire a qualified intellectual property lawyer.Â
One can talk to a lawyer from Lead India for any kind of legal support. In India, free legal advice online can be obtained at Lead India. Along with receiving free legal advice online, one can also  ask a legal question to the experts online free through Lead India.

Hi! D, G, Q and Y for Tadashi?
You got it, boss!
D (Devoted - how do they show they're serious?): It's very quiet and easy to miss if you're not in the know. Or, you know, in Tadashi's head for the first bit. Because of how loving and outgoing he is, it's easy to assume that very little changes between how the both of you act during courtship and how that relationship changes when you decide you're serious about one another. But it does change.
Specifically, it changes how the both of you look to the future.
While he's no child prodigy as Hiro is, Tadashi's efforts in robotics are nothing to sniff at. And given what his plans for Baymax units include, he's definitely going to revolutionize the world. Of course, he's not in it for the glory, but Tadashi's already accepted to a degree that his future will include some level of fame and an expectation to keep advancing along the robotic and medical horizons.
But seeing you there is new.
Like, he knew his future would always include his loved ones but . . . You're presented differently. He just can't see a future without you being side by side, seeing one another through to their own respective accomplishments and milestones. It goes beyond just wanting to move in together (though he definitely will want to look into that when you're ready). He knows you won't complete him and he won't complete you; rather, it's about how you two blend together to create something new and unique while also being your own separate things at once, and respecting and admiring that.
And it's when you and he come to this mutual understanding that you know.
G (Gentle - how do they provide comfort?): Next to Honey, Tadashi is the absolute best person to come to when you're in need of comfort. He's had his fair share of helping people deal with rough patches, and he's more than happy to help his significant other out of their own.
But be warned: It may not be easy. He's a very calming presence, usually, but he encourages you to talk about your frustrations, which is something you may not always be open to doing. He doesn't meant to pry; he just doesn't want you to bottle everything up and wind up feeling worse about your situation.
But if you're open to it, he'll try to help you solve your problem. Try to help you shuffle along to a potential answer. It may not always be the solution you're most excited for, but he has 100% faith in your ability to see it to fruition.
(If the ordeal leaves you in n exhausted or flustered way, though, fear not: Tadashi is an excellent hugger with access to a beloved cafe that serves stellar pastries and tea.)
In a scenario where you just feel bummed out, though, he's perfectly willing to just hold you. He's studied hormones and bodily reactions, after all, he knows what good oxytocin can do you under the right circumstances. And with a blanket and his laptop set up to play your favorite show, he's determined to make the circumstances perfect for you.
Q (Quiet - what can they do together without talking?): You two are one of those couples who has mastered the art of just being able to exist comfortably with one another without having to actually talk.
This is perhaps most evident when the two of you study together. Well, really it's the both of you studying while occupying a space. But you're in this effort together. Tadashi could be pouring articles necessary to determine what engine might be the most beneficial for his presentation on soft robotics; you could be hard at work drumming up an essay or sketching something out for a graphic design final, whatever it is your focus is on.
To an outsider looking in, you just happen to be occupying the same area, paying the other no mind. But what they don't realize is that its your respective presences that supports one another. What they won't always see is how every so often you two might look up from whatever it is you're doing, share a nod, then go back to work. No words exchanged, just a nod.
"You're good? I'm good. Keep up the good work, you can do this," in a nod.
Y (Yearning - what do they do when they're apart?): Time apart from one another is something you're quite familiar with, especially when Tadashi has to hole himself up in his lab for days and nights on end. You try to text and video chat one another when he finally allows himself to take breaks, but they can only occur so often. After a certain point, it's crunch time and Tadashi can't as easily afford to take a breather.
You hate the radio silence, but you respect it and often will direct your focus elsewhere. Specifically, making sure that when Tadashi gets back (whenever that will be), there's nothing to worry about: Laundry's done, bed is made, maybe you've even prepped his least complex favorite meal. Besides, you've known the man long enough to know that there's a good chance he'll forget to even take off his hate when he showers.
On Tadashi's end, however, he may feel like he's losing his grip on reality. Obviously, he still interacts with others who drop by the office or those whom he encounters in the display lab. But for the most part, he's spending hours upon hours in a small room, hunching over gears and tools while muttering things about calibrations and the like.
But during his most strenuous moments, though he knows he can't take a break, he at least can take the time to talk to the miniature maneki neko on his desk. You gifted it to him before the two of you even got together, making sure it was specifically green so as to grant him success in his academic pursuits. He never told you this, but he named it after you. And he'll even talk to it like he does with you, sounding off his ideas and running codes by it so he can be sure they're clear and not being muddled by the increasing exhaustion cloaking his brain.
"You" may not respond, but you do listen and it helps him feel just a little less loopy. Of course, nothing beats the real thing: The moment he's done with whatever and he's free to go home, he's out that door. (But not before, of course, thank "you" for your support through this troubling time. And perhaps maybe kissing his finger tips and tapping them on the green kitten head for good measure.)
Thanks for asking and thank you for your patience!

Pretty Young Thing
A yandere Erasermic commission for an anon, I hope you like it bby!!
Aizawa Shouta x reader x Hizashi Yamada
TW non-con, breeding kink, pregnancy, surrogacy, pregnant sex, smut, age-gap, nsfw
âDonât you think sheâs a little young, âZashi?â
âItâs up to you both how involved you are during the first stages and the overall pregnancy. Normally we suggest an initial meeting with the potential surrogate for all three of you to get a feel for one another and decide if you want to proceed with the arrangement, but should you wish, we canââ
âNo,â he interrupts, sparing Hizashi a fleeting glance. âWe want to meet her.â
Beneath the desk, his husband squeezes his hand.Â
Hizashi quirks an eyebrow, pausing midway through fixing his hair in the mirror. âWhaddya mean, babe? Sheâs in her twenties ainât she?â
Heâs not wrong, but thatâs not the issue. They picked you, they both picked you, but thereâs this lingering unease that he canât seem to shake. Itâs not so much your age specifically, he knows that youâre only a few years younger than the majority of the other women whose profiles theyâd seen â youâre old enough to understand what youâre getting yourself into and agree to it, at any rate â itâs just that he doesnât quite understand why somebody your age would want to do this.
And thereâs something different about you, itâs just a feeling of course â he hasnât yet had a chance to confirm his suspicions, but he wants to meet you and decide for himself.
âWe do have a number of potential surrogates with promising Quirks if youâre considering pursuing that option for your child,â the Doctor told them, smiling as they flipped through page after page of profiles.
Hisako, 35, Quirk: Sun-flare
Nozumi, 26, Quirk: Mimic
Koharu, 28, Quirk: Seismic Wave
Chiyoko, 33, Quirk: Golden Whip
Yuzuki, 32, Quirk: Silencer
Thereâs dozens of them â which is more than he expected.Â
Aizawa knew coming in that this wasnât normally the process, that this agency catered specifically to Heroes â was recommended by the Hero commission â but it still feels strange, just browsing through pages upon pages of potential candidates to carry their baby.Â
Was he supposed to be feeling some kind of emotion looking at these profiles? The women were all healthy, each of them attractive, in their own ways (nothing but the very best, the Doctor had reassured them with a smile). This woman, whoever they picked, sheâd be carrying their baby, yes, but that was the extent of it. She wasnât going to be a part of their lives beyond that, so what did it matter if she was nice or liked to cook or play tennis?
There were stats, of course. Their education and IQâs and little snippets of history, but they were all impressive, otherwise they wouldnât have been included. Were they supposed to choose based on their Quirk? One that might compliment his or Zashiâs? Quirks were troublesome things to begin with, andâ
âWait-wait, Shou, hold up,â Hizashiâs voice cut through his musings, long fingers wrapping around his wrist midway through turning the page. âGo back one.â
He does as heâs told, flicking the page back.
Y/N, 23, Quirk: N/A.
A lone eyebrow lifts. Quirkless, huh? A blank slate.
But thatâs not what caught Hizashiâs eye.
âSheâs kinda cute, donâtcha think, baby?â
It feels weirdly like a first date, nervous jitters and all â though heâd like to believe heâs better at suppressing that now then back when he was a teenager. Aizawa hasnât bothered to shave, but his hairâs tied back in a loose bun and heâs pulled out a suit for the occasion â heâs even wearing a tie for fuckâs sake. Beside him, Hizashiâs ditched his usual leather jacket and ripped jeans for, well, nicer jeans and a button up floral shirt.
And then thereâs you. Standing in the doorway of the cafe glancing around like a little lost lamb, he recognises you instantly from the picture on your profile, but the moment your eyes meet his heâs struck with the realisation that the picture didnât truly do you justice.
Because you do look young (at least compared to their thirty odd years) and it might just be the hesitant smile adorning your face as you start to make your way over, or the charming little summer dress falling to your mid-thigh, swishing hypnotically with every step, but Shouta feels something catch in his chest the more he stares. You really are⊠what was the word âZashi had used? Cute?
Yeah. You were cute.Â
The agency had offered to host this little meetup at their clinic, and while he hadnât particularly cared one way or the other, Hizashiâd been insistent. Heâd wanted this to feel ânaturalâ.Â
âI donât really wanna meet our potential baby mama for the first time in some boring, sterile office, dâyou?â
Heâd only bitten back a sigh at the time, shaking his head. It wouldnât have been worth upsetting him by reminding him that the girl was technically a glorified incubator. He had every intention of being involved in this process, but this initial meeting was to establish two things. Firstly, that after meeting them, you still felt comfortable with carrying their baby, and secondly, he wanted to make absolutely certain that you werenât trying to get anything out of this.
Oh, he knew you were getting paid, handsomely, heâs sure, but the thought that you, or any of the women the agency had fobbed their way might not all be in this for altruistic reasons had crossed his mind.Â
You were just so young.
But he was more than happy to determine those two things in a ten minute meeting at the agency.Â
Hizashi was not, and so here they are.Â
Ten minutes in, and he finds himself glad of his husbandâs insistence. Hands wrapped around your mug of coffee (you should enjoy it while you can) you chatter away with Hizashi, beaming and blushing, tripping over your own words in your nervousness.Â
Youâre about as dangerous as a kitten, and he allows himself to relax enough in his seat to enjoy watching the blonde charm you.Â
âSo why donât ya tell us a little about yourself, songbird?â
âThereâs really not all that much to tell,â you say with a sheepish laugh, but they listen as you talk anyway. Itâs nothing the profile hadnât already told them, nothing spectacular that would make you stand out in the crowd.Â
And yet, an hour and a half later, youâre trying in vain to distract him and Hizashi both so that you can slip your card in with the bill to pay for lunch, and Shouta finds himself oddly amused.
There were other candidates â ones with impressive Quirks, smarter than you, more accomplished than you, older than youâ
âYa sure you donât want a lift, sweetheart? Itâs no trouble.â
You smile again, demure little thing, and shake your head. âOh no, really itâs okay. Itâs not far and⊠I like the walk. Thank you, though.â
â but none nearly so endearing, he thinks.Â
And when they watch you disappear into the crowd, one final wave thrown over your shoulder, Hizashiâs fingers lace with his once more.
âSo sheâs our baby mama, huh?
Heâs silent for a moment. âI suppose so.â
â
The agency recommended, at least in the initial stages before the implantation procedure took place, that any communication between the three of you should go through them.Â
Hizashi had your number programmed into his phone before youâd even left the cafe, and heâs been texting you every day since â to the point where it wasnât unusual for Shouta to come downstairs and find Mic chuckling to himself, fingers dancing across the keyboard on his phone as he replies to whatever message youâve sent.Â
Shouta, for his part, tends to message only to check in.
How are you feeling? Any side effects from the meds?
Your response comes a little slower than usual, and itâs almost an hour before finally he receives it.
Sorry theyâre cracking down on us using our phones at work :(Â
Everythingâs good so far! The doc said i should be on track for our appointment next week!
⊠is it weird that Iâm a little excited haha?
His brow furrows at that. You hadnât mentioned a job â at least not to him, heâd have to ask Hizashi later whether you'd said anything to him.Â
Why on earth were you still working? Heâd seen the contracts, he knew exactly how much you were getting paid for this little venture, wasnât that enough to support you?
He makes a brief mental note to make sure that whatever job you were working at, you stopped long before the baby was due. You might just be a surrogate, but heâd be damned if his baby was put in jeopardy because you were needlessly exerting yourself.Â
Nevertheless, his expression softens somewhat as he reads the second part of your message. You were excited, hm?Â
Well, that made three of you.
Both he and Hizashiâd been willing to come along to the clinic with you â heâd even submitted a formal leave request to take the day off from UA, but the Doctor had assured him that it wasnât necessary.
âThe procedure is quick and relatively painless. Sheâll be home within a few hours, and so long as she remains off her feet and doesnât undertake any strenuous activity, she will be perfectly fine.â
It hadnât sat particularly well with Hizashi whoâd spent the afternoon huffing and complaining about the clinic trying to kick them both out of the process. That much, he expected â he understood it to an extent; the agency catered specifically to Heroes, most of their clientele probably had busy schedules (which was true in their case as well). There wasnât a need for them to be present at such a minor procedure, even if it did hopefully mark the beginnings of your pregnancy.Â
What he hadnât expected was the twinge of discontent he felt settle in his own stomach. The Doc mightâve preferred they stay out of this, but at the end of the day he really didnât give a shit what she or the agency wanted.
So he messaged you.
Do you want us there with you?
He watches those three little dots bounce for almost a solid minute before finally your reply comes through.
No, itâs okay, you donât have to come. The Doc said it wouldnât take long and I donât wanna be a burden for you guys
Itâs not really an answer to his question, and he briefly wonders if Hizashi might be right about the agency interfering, but heâs not going to fight you on it.Â
At least, thatâs his plan until Principal Nezu pulls him aside at the end of a staff meeting and tells him that heâs found somebody to cover his classes tomorrow if he still wants the day off.Â
âYa gotta go, babe. One of us should be there for our âlil mama.â
He asks you what time your appointment is and thereâs a surprisingly pleasant fluttering in his stomach when you walk through the clinic doors and catch sight of him sitting in the waiting room.
Itâs a momentary surprise â you almost do a double take, but a smile lights your face and you ignore the receptionist in favour of racing towards him.Â
âShouta, I thought you werenât coming!â Your arms wrap around his middle, squeezing tightly.
He finds himself returning your hug â albeit somewhat stiffly â but heâs glad he made the decision to come. The Doctor wasnât wrong, youâre only in with her for just under twenty minutes, and when you come out thereâs a tremble in your legs, but you seem otherwise fine.
It goes without saying that heâs driving you home, though you try once again to beg him off.
Kitten, when are you gonna learn that so long as youâre carrying his and âZashiâs child, theyâre going to go out of their way to make things easier for you â whether you want them to or not.
Yet your quiet discomfort on the drive home doesnât slip past his attention. Maybe itâs because heâs become accustomed to your nervous rambling, but thereâs something odd about the way youâre sitting so quietly, fingers twisting in your lap as you stare out the window. He knows that if Hizashi was here, heâd be chatting your ear off, but heâs never been one to fill silence with unnecessary small talk.
Though he canât exactly help the way his own mind drifts. Are you in pain? The Doc didnât say anything about there being any pain, only that you should rest over the next few days, so it shouldnât be that. Perhaps youâre just lost in your thoughts â itâs strange for them having a surrogate, he can only imagine whatâs going through your own head now that itâs actually begun. He hopes that you arenât having second thoughts, almost opens his mouth to ask before thinking better of it.
Youâre entitled to your thoughts and feelings, whatever they may be, and if you wanted to talk to him about them, you would.Â
Itâs not until the scenery outside starts to change and the fancy sky-scrapers give way to dingy apartment blocks and dilapidated buildings, crammed in together too tightly that he realises that itâs not discomfort thatâs written across your face, but embarrassment.
This was your neighbourhood?
Shouta recognises it, and really he should have picked up on it earlier when youâd given him the address â heâs spent more than a few nights patrolling the area. Itâs a hotspot, not for the high-class, dangerous villains plastered across the news every night, but thieves and murderers. Petty thugs who prey on the weak, those addicted, with nowhere else to go⊠you live here?
Surely with the money youâre getting from the agency, and your job on top of that, you can afford a better neighbourhood.
He glances at you out of the corner of his eye, watches as you all but shrink into your seat, and when you speak, your voice is little more than a whisper.
âYou can just drop me off at the corner here.â
He pulls the car to a stop by the curb, and for a moment neither of you speak. He doesnât know what to say, and judging from the way youâre nibbling on your bottom lip and glancing up at him, you donât either.Â
âIââ
âThank you,â you cut him off with a tight smile. âFor coming today, and for⊠this. I-I really do appreciate it.âÂ
The words arenât quite sincere, but he only nods â noting the miniscule sigh that escapes your lips at the action. âOf course. Anytime you need us, just call, okay.â He waits for you to nod before continuing, âDo as the Doc said, rest.â
You all but scamper from the car after saying another goodbye, though Shouta waits until youâve disappeared into the crumbling apartment block before driving off.
Maybe the inside is nicer, but he sincerely doubts it.
â
âYou shouldâve seen it, âZashi.â The two of them are curled up on the love-seat, half empty containers of takeout littering the coffee table in front of them. âI just canât figure out why sheâd be living somewhere like that.âÂ
The blonde frowns. Heâd been messaging you throughout the afternoon, so he knew that the appointment had gone fine. It wasnât that he expected to come home and find the erasure Hero jumping for joy, but the subtle discontent on Shoutaâs face had been enough to make him pause.Â
âYouâre worried about our âlil songbird?â he asks, pushing away just enough so that he could turn to study his face.Â
The short nod says plenty. Of course he is â even if you werenât potentially carrying his child, youâre young, beautiful and far too innocent for your own good. In places like that, you were easy pickings, and you donât even have a Quirk to protect yourself. His job requires him to assess his studentsâ strengths, their failings and weaknesses and their progress. He doesnât need to see you in action to know that you wouldnât be able to hold your own in a fight.Â
It bothers him.Â
âSheâs not safe there.â
Hizashi hums, but instead of settling back against his husbandâs side, he straightens up further. âWell, why donât we go take a look-see, huh handsome? Make sure our sweet thingâs padâs all safe ân sound, put your mind at ease. Whaddya say?â
As he stares into those imploring green eyes, Shouta knows that he should say no.Â
Concerned or not, thereâs still a line, privacy that should be respected. Heâs tired and this is the only night that they both have off this week. Your place is almost twenty minutes from theirs, and itâs already late â almost midnight. The list goes on, there are a thousand reasons that he should say no.
âFine. Just for tonight.â
â
Two weeks later, the two Heroes receive a call from the agency; the blood test came back positive â youâre pregnant.Â
In the blink of an eye, at least to Shouta, this becomes startlingly real. Youâre pregnant. Theyâre going to have a baby. Boy, girl, it doesnât matter⊠Youâre pregnant, and as his husband ends the call and yanks him by his collar into a fierce kiss, he realises how important this is.
How important you are, just by the virtue of carrying their baby.
They invite you over for dinner to celebrate, and while heâs never been one to flaunt the comfortable lifestyle he and Hizashi have, he does find it strangely pleasing to watch you wonder wide eyed through their apartment. Heâd be the first to admit itâs big â bigger than theyâd ever probably need, though with the baby on the way maybe theyâll finally be able to make use of all that extra space.
Mic grabs you by the hand, eagerly dragging you towards the nursery heâs already begun setting up. âOnce I heard the good news, I just couldnât wait to get started! Our little rockstarâs gonna have the sweetest crib, donâtcha think? Ainât it amazing?âÂ
Heâs already started painting and thereâs a wooden cot halfway assembled and the beginnings of a musical mobile pushed off to the side waiting for him to return to it. Itâs hardly close to being finished, but you just grin, gazing at the mural heâs started on the walls. âItâs amazing,â you say.
âI knew yaâd like it!â he beams.
Shouta hangs back as Hizashi guides you through the rest of the apartment, chattering excitedly away. He likes seeing his husband happy, and somehow you manage to bring it out of him without even trying. Itâs still early days but Shouta has to admit that already youâre more to him and Hizashi than he expected, or even anticipated. You fit well with them, seamlessly, as if youâd always been a part of their lives.
After dinner, they drive you home despite your protests, and Hizashi insists they walk you up to your apartment. Youâre no doubt under the impression that theyâre doing it to be gentlemanly, missing the shared looks between the two men as they pass the out of order elevator and tread down hallways with stained carpet and peeling wallpaper, ignoring the leering yellow eyes of your neighbour, peeking out from the crack in the doorway as they bid you goodnight, âZashi squeezing you extra tight.
Thereâs an uncharacteristic hardness in his husbandâs eyes as they both slip back into the car, âNo way in hell are we lettinâ her stay here.â
On that at least, thereâs no arguments from him.
â
Hizashi, unsurprisingly, is the one to bring it up.
The three of you are grabbing a bite to eat after your first ultrasound. This time, both of them had been insistent on being there, and heâs glad they were. Seeing that grainy image of their baby, hearing itâs heartbeat â strong and steady â had filled him with an emotion heâd never felt before.
It was happiness and excitement and wonder and awe all mixed up and wrapped into a gut punch that stole his breath away, and while Hizashi had burst into a loud fit of tears, burying his face in Shoutaâs neck while reaching for your hand, heâd managed to keep his own at bay.
Mostly.Â
Regardless, you have little choice but to indulge them when they drag you out to one of the blondeâs favourite restaurants â on the proviso that they had you home in time to get ready for work.
âSongbird, thereâs something the two of us have been meaninâ to ask ya.â
You perk up a little, hastily swallowing down your mouthful of food so you can reply, âOh?â
He wonders if you notice the way your hand already instinctively drifts to your stomach, your barely there baby bump.Â
âWhyâre ya livinâ in a place like that, sweetheart?â You freeze, the corners of your smile slipping, but Hizashi continues, âAinât the money from the agency enough? We know youâre working that other job as well⊠we justâŠâ
Shouta can physically feel you tensing like a bunny caught in a trap, and he doesnât know what possesses him to reach out, sliding a hand across the table as you pale, but you take it regardless.Â
âTalk to us. Please,â he begs. âWe just want to understand whatâs going on. You have to realise that itâs not exactly a safe neighbourhood, and itâs not just you we have to worry about anymore.â Dark eyes flicker pointedly towards your stomach.Â
Itâs a dirty tactic, but that doesnât mean itâs not the truth. Did you realise how much danger you were truly in? Not just from the common street thugs â though frankly he thinks itâs nothing short of a miracle that youâd managed to get this far unscathed â but any number of villains with a grudge against either one of them, or Heroes in general. If they found out a pretty, quirkless thing like you was carrying their baby, how long do you think it would take before they tracked you down and kicked through your door?
Your eyes flicker between the two of them, and you swallow shakily. âI-itâsâŠâ you break off, taking a deep, steadying breath, âItâs all I can afford right now.â
âBut, hun, what aboutââ
âI know,â you say. âThe money for the surrogacy isnât for me. Itâs money I owe.â
Neither Hero speaks a word as you talk, telling them about your uncle, the man who raised you, how his business went under a few years back and you both lost almost everything.
Shouta isnât surprised to find out that your uncle turned to loan sharks when the banks turned him away and threatened to take your house. Alarmed at the manâs blatant stupidity, yes, but not surprised. Your eyes start to water when you tell them about how he died a few months back â a hit and run â and the visit you were paid only a week later, informing you that your uncleâs debts were now yours, and payment had better come through quick.Â
Your handâs trembling in his by the time you finish. âI-Iâm sorry, I didnât have any options, I didnât know how else to get the money, and they said that i-if I didnât pay up, they-theyâdââ a sob catches you unawares, and once again itâs Hizashi whoâs out of his seat and at your side in a heartbeat, sliding into the booth beside you, pulling you into a one armed embrace.Â
Itâs his eyes that you meet, and Shouta understands. He doesnât need you to explain what threats were made. You were scared, terrified probably, and you had every right to be.Â
âI didnât know what else to do,â you sniffle. âIâm sorry for lying to you.â
Really, he should be furious. Disappointed at the very least.Â
âMove in with us,â he says instead, ignoring your sudden, startled intake of breath. âAt least until the baby comes.â
He should be, but this works better.
â
It takes a little longer than heâd like to convince you, but the two of them wear you down and a few weeks later Shouta finds himself carting boxes of your things up into the spare room in their apartment.
Despite the fact that youâre pregnant with their baby, youâre terrified of being a burden to the two Heroes, but itâs because of the baby that you eventually relent.
They want to be close, involved. They want to know that youâre safe â and their apartmentâs state of the art security system will make sure of that when theyâre not home with you. They want to make sure that youâre not exerting yourself, that youâre eating the right things and not running yourself ragged at a job you donât need, stressing yourself out needlessly and putting the baby at risk.
All of thatâs true.Â
Itâs just not the entire reason.Â
At first, he convinces himself that itâs for Hizashi, as well as his own peace of mind, but heâs starting to wonder if thatâs the full truth of it. Because of course he wants to keep a close eye on the pregnancy â he knows that this canât be easy on you. You have no family left, and if you have any friends then theyâve done an excellent job of keeping you at arm's length.Â
You have nobody but them, and it does bring him some modicum of peace to know that youâre just down the hall if anything goes wrong.Â
Hizashi adores having you there with them, having somebody else to cook for, somebody to come home to at the end of a long day. More than a few times, theyâve both returned from a night of patrolling to find you curled up on the couch, fast asleep with a blanket over your legs and a book slipping from your fingers, having tried, and failed, to wait up from them.
You tune into Micâs radio show on the nights you canât sleep, and on the odd mornings that you wake up before either of them, they come downstairs to find bacon sizzling away in the pan, a pot of coffee already brewing. Thereâs something oddly charming about the way you pout while you pour it for them, knowing you canât have any yourself.
âYouâre a special kind of masochist, ya know?â Hizashi teases, sidling up beside you to grab a cup.
You sigh dejectedly. âI must be,â you reply as he plants a kiss on your cheek and squeezes your side affectionately, but itâs impossible to miss the sparkle in your eyes. Youâre happy here, with them.Â
Shouta warns you from pushing yourself too much, but even he can notice the apartmentâs tidier when they arrive home than when they left, the freshly baked goods sitting on the countertop that werenât there yesterday.
âI just⊠I know I canât pay you back for all of this, I just wanna make myself useful,â you tell him one night when he asks about it. âI still feel like Iâm taking advantage of the both of you, staying hereâŠâ
âYouâre carrying our baby, thatâs enough,â he reminds you, his calm, steady voice brooking no disagreement. And yet, as dark eyes study your face, he can tell that itâs not enough for you, so he sighs, and in a quiet voice adds, âWe like having you here.â
He likes having you there. Sitting at the dining room table, helping him grade papers, lounging around on their rare days off together â helping Mic set up the nursery, volunteering to go shopping with them for baby stuff. Heâs lost count of how many pregnancy books youâve bought, pouring over them with a fine tooth comb late at night â often falling asleep in the process, leaving him and Hizashi to carry you off to bed with a barely there kiss to your forehead.
You fit between them in a way he hadnât quite expected. Not a burden, not an interloper, but as if there was always a place carved out for you with them, and itâs only now that they realise that there was something missing to begin with.Â
It doesnât quite click until he finds his thoughts drifting towards you at work, his fingers drumming along the top of his desk so he can stop himself from reaching for his phone. Heâs not usually so distracted teaching, and as the hours drag he finds himself glancing towards the clock on the wall, counting down the hours, minutes, until the day is done and they can return home to you.
Shouta canât pretend for much longer that there isnât something oddly satisfying watching your belly grow and your breasts swell as your pregnancy goes on. Youâre glowing, and soft and beautiful, and he could kid himself and say that itâs just the normal effects of pregnancy, but thereâs some part of him thatâs strangely proud when your shirt rides up and he catches a glimpse of your baby bump â knowing itâs his child youâre carrying. His and âZashiâs and yours.
And oh, he wishes that it was only pride that burns through his veins at the sight of you, barefoot and pregnant, pottering around the apartment. Hizashiâs the one to hold back your hair and rub your back soothingly when your morning sickness hits, but itâs Shouta who takes care of you when you start complaining about aching muscles and joints.
He tells himself that itâs purely about comfort, namely yours, ignoring the way you flush and stutter when he drags you up the stairs and pushes you gently towards the bed, telling you to lie down on your side.Â
Itâs just a massage, yet the moment his fingers run along your soft skin and a breathy moan slips from parted lips, the very last vestiges of the facade heâd built up in his head crumble into dust.Â
Youâre perfection. Bared and beautiful beneath him, making the prettiest noises for him as he works away at your muscles, expertly releasing all of your tension. Heâs glad that your eyes are shut and youâre lost to the bliss, you donât notice the way his breath hitches and becomes rough and heavy, the way his cock twitches in his sweats, blood flowing south as you arc into his touch.Â
Such a responsive little thing, arenât you?
âYouâre amazing,â you moan, and though you canât see that either, Shouta smirks. âPlease never stop.â
Itâs a good thing he has restraint, because itâs taking absolutely all of his to stop himself from taking more.Â
He wants all of you.Â
Wants to tease and taste.
Take.
Wants to hear those pretty fucking moans take the shape of his name⊠Hizashiâs name.
And maybe he might have felt guilty for those perverse thoughts, for the way he wants to tear the rest of your clothes off and fuck you nice and proper, breed youâ
If his husband hadn't been standing by the door, watching the two of you for the last ten minutes. Shouta doesnât need to look to know that itâs not anger or jealousy burning in his gaze.
He knows that his husbandâs far from disgusted, knows it from the way Hizashi grabs his wrist on his way back down the hallway, pulling him instead to their bedroom and shoving him back onto the mattress with a wicked grin.
Thereâs something positively feral in the blondeâs expression as he hovers over him, forcing Shouta back down with a hand splayed across his chest, the other reaching down to his sweats to free his aching, needy cock.
âYouâve been holding out on me, baby,â he sings.
â
They have time.
Your due date is still months away, and youâre comfortable, here with them.Â
Thereâs no reason for you to consider leaving until the babyâs born, and Shouta is adamant about keeping it that way. Hizashi can huff and puff and moan all he likes, he knows that they have to take this thing with you slowly. He wonât risk spooking you and losing any chance they have.
Thatâs not to say that he doesnât empathise with the blonde, what with all the affectionate hugs and touches you thoughtlessly bestow, the way youâll plonk yourself down on the couch between them so they can feel when the babyâs kicking.
Hizashiâs gotten to the stage where heâll drop to his knees to shower your stomach in kisses when he gets home of an evening before sweeping you up into a hug of your own, his face a mask of perfect innocence when he catches sight of his husbandâs less than impressed expression over your shoulder.Â
Having you here with them, this little temporary faux family dynamic the three of you have found yourselves in is easy, domestic and nice. It should be enough, but itâs not.
âItâll be weird, going home after this,â you hum absentmindedly one night.
Preoccupied with the noodles youâre toying with in your bowl, you miss the sharp look shared between both men.
âWhaddya mean, sweetheart?â
If you notice the odd stiffness to the words, you pay it no mind, simply shrugging. âI mean once the babyâs born. I dunno, I think Iâve become too comfortable here freeloading off of the two of youâŠâ you glance up, smiling a little. âGoing back to work and finding a place on my own again, starting fresh, itâll be different, thatâs all. Not bad different,â you hasten to clarify at the blondeâs nearly stricken face, âjust⊠different.â
âWell itâs not like weâre gonna be forcing ya out, hun! Youâre always welcome to jam with us for as long as you want.â
You shake your head with a rueful little laugh, âWe both know I canât do that. Youâll have the baby to worry about and the last thing I want is to feel like some awkward interloper, always getting in the way â especially after everything you guys have done for me.â
Hizashiâs fingers dig into the meat of his thigh, tightening with every word out of your mouth.
âNo,â you say, shaking your head. âIâm not saying Iâm never going to come around to hang out or anything, but once this baby comes Iâm gonna have to figure out what Iâm going to do with my life.â Your eyes meet his, wide and hopeful, and Shoutaâs reminded once again of just how young you really are. âI can go anywhere, do anything. Itâs kind of exciting, don't you think?â
It was a mistake, to think that youâd come around to them on your own.Â
You were young and naive, still living out a rose tinted fantasy where the world was your oyster and all you needed to do was reach out and take it. And maybe heâs partially to blame for that, taking your problems and getting rid of them, making you feel safe and comfortable, not realising that that security didnât extend outside of these four walls, outside of their protection.
They need you, but kitten did you ever stop to think that you need them, too?Â
Shouta had made the mistake of forgetting how this all came to be â you hadnât wanted a family, you were just trying to save your own skin. You still think that you can make it on your own, without them.Â
He supposes he shouldnât blame you for your misplaced idealism, itâs only natural after all. Some people just donât know whatâs best for them.
They need to be shown.
â
You donât stir as your bedroom door swings open.Â
Not as Hizashi pulls back your sheets, groaning softly at the sight of your swollen breasts and precious baby bump, stretching against the confines of your silk pajamas. âAinât she a fuckinâ dream, Shou?â
Not as the blonde busies himself in carefully sliding your sleep shorts down your legs, or even as Aizawa gathers up your wrists, pressing a kiss to each one, and binds them to the headboard with his capture weapon.
âGentle, âZashi,â he murmurs when the blonde crawls up on the bed beside you. âNothing too rough.â
You wake as long fingers caress your cheek, tilting your face towards him so he can kiss you properly.
Shouta hadnât bothered to turn on the lights, but bathed under the soft glow of moonlight from your window, he watches your eyes flutter open, the momentary confusion that flashes across your face followed by realisation, horror, as you try to jerk back and cry outâ
Only Hizashi doesnât give you the opportunity, winding his hand through your tresses and anchoring you against him, forcing your lips open so that he can deepen the kiss and groaning appreciatively when a terrified whimper escapes you.Â
You still havenât noticed Shouta kneeling on the bed between your legs, too preoccupied by Hizashiâs tongue sliding against yours. âRelax, kitten,â he says, laying his palm on your thigh, letting his thumb glide over the smooth skin.
âLet us take care of our cute âlil baby mama, yeah songbird?â Hizashi adds, breaking away from the kiss with a lovesick grin.
Tonight is solely about you. Your pleasure, whether they have to tease it from you willingly or not.
Your tears are kissed away, your broken little pleas swallowed under âZashiâs greedy lips as Shouta shuffles down the bed, nudging your thighs further apart so he can lie between them.
The keening cry that leaves you at the first stroke of his tongue against your warm sex is a thing of beauty.
Blood rushes to his cock as you writhe, and he tightens his grip as much as he dares to keep you locked in place as he delves in again. Thereâs little finesse to the way that Shouta eats your pussy â itâs a simple study of reactions; the way you gasp and shudder when the tip of his tongue circles your clit, the way your pussy clench and quiver around the muscle when he eases it inside of you, massaging your spongy walls.
Never one to be left out, Hizashi decides that thereâs a better use of his attention than just your lips. With your arms bound, heâs not able to take your top off entirely so he settles with yanking it down, freeing your breasts.
âFuck baby, youâre so pretty. Look atcha!â
Your tits must be tender and aching, because the moment Hizashiâs mouth envelops one of your nipples, sucking at the pert nub, a fresh sob bursts from your lungs and youâre trying desperately to wriggle away.
Hizashi just frowns, breaking away for a second to brush a stray lock of hair back behind your ear, âAh shit, sorry babe! Iâll be gentle, promise.â
Shoutaâs far too preoccupied by the intoxicating taste of your sweet cunt to notice whether he actually does or not, but he trusts him not to push you too far. Thereâll be plenty of time for that later.
Your baby bump is cute and all, but Shouta wishes that it wasnât blocking his view of your face â he wants to watch every little expression as he slides two thick fingers into your dripping cunt and your hips buck up to meet him. Itâs a twisted kind of pride he feels, pride fused with filthy, maddening pleasure as he pulls a string of choked moans from you with just a few shallow thrusts of his fingers.
His jawâs slicked with your juices, your cunt sucking his fingers deeper when he turns his attention back to your poor, neglected clit. He can tell that youâre close, not just from the needy whimpers and the way your muscles are tensing beneath him, but the desperate canting of your hips, rocking up against his face even as you beg for relief.
âShouta, Shouta, pleaseâ oh god, please stop, p-please!â
He longs to wrap a fist around his throbbing cock, desperate to help relieve the burning ache deep in his gut as you cum for the first time on his tongue. Or better yet, maybe have Hizashi wrap that perfect mouth of his around his cock and suck him offâ
But nowâs not the time for him to be greedy.Â
Rough fingertips prod at your walls, searching for that hidden little spot thatâs gonna make you go wildâ
You almost convulse when he finds it, and Shouta canât help but smirk against your cunt as you tighten and quiver around his digits. With Hizashi playing with your tits, pressing hot, open mouthed kisses along your neck, Shoutaâs lips wrapped around your clit, tongue flicking at the sensitive pearl as he suckles on it and long, thick fingers driving you to madness with each and every stroke, itâs too much for your poor, pregnant, oversensitive body to handle.
You cum with a strangled shriek, and Shouta almost moans at the flood of juices that gush from your trembling cunt onto his waiting tongue.Â
âHowâs she taste, baby?â Hizashi asks, green eyes blown wide, his own erection straining against his leather pants.Â
Shouta doesnât waste a beat, pushing himself up with one arm and grabbing his husbandâs wrist with the other, yanking him into a fierce kiss â letting him taste your honeyed juices on his tongue.
Fingers tangle in dark locks, tugging him closer, and âZashi lets out a low, throaty groan. Itâs rough and eager, a slow burning frenzy that makes the blood in his veins sing with excitement. With their lips still locked, the blonde hastily yanks at the zipper on his pants, freeing the painfully hard member with a tight hiss.Â
But when he finally does break for air, itâs not Shouta that he addresses, but you, lying spent, crying and breathless between them, beautiful in your fucked out state.
âYou canât expect to put on a show like that and not get me all worked up, sweet thing,â he coos, taking his flushed, throbbing cock in hand and giving it a few slow, cursory pumps. âIâm gonna fuck ya so good, baby â have you singinâ like a little birdie for me,â his eyes meet Shoutaâs, a wicked smirk tugging at his lips. âNothinâ but the best for our cute âlil wife. Whaddya say, songbird? Lemme make you feel all nice and special, yeah?â

bang chanâs sure that he doesnât believe in the concept of falling in love.
itâs not because of the bitterness that surrounded the concept itself, but he assumes itâs because of the position heâs in. while many think that being a CEO of the company entails many benefits, such as mansions, multiple cars, private jets, and tons and tons of women, he knows itâs actually the complete opposite.
maybe itâs because of his work-mindset that deters him from making meaningful relationships or maybe because heâs detached himself from everyone to guard whatever self-worth he still has. whatever the reason may be, he lays in his king-sized bed, alone, in a mansion that barely felt like home.
bang chanâs sure that he doesnât believe in the concept of falling in love, but for some reason, as he stares at you from his office window, heâs sure heâs proved himself wrong.
he admits that he may have expected a firework or two or a grand celebration, but as he watches you tuck a hair strand behind your ear, he finally understands why people decide to throw themselves in the name of love with no plan, with no questions of howâs and whyâs. the question is, is he ready to grab the opportunity, specifically the one thatâs right outside his office?
his eyes follow you as you lean back on your office chair, huffing as you cross your arms in front of your chest before your eyebrows scrunch. chan chuckles softly and itâs got him wondering, for the nth time today, how he never noticed how your skin glowed despite being confined in a busy workplace. heâs never observed how pretty your fingers were when you grab a pen from the holder on your desk. and, maybe he was just blind all this time, but when has your hair looked this healthy and vibrant?
his stare is broken by the arrival of an employee who rests her elbows on your desk. chan watches how your eyes light up and how your lips curl up into a smile. he takes in a deep breath as his heart starts to beat faster. thoughts of work disappear and the image of you makes a home inside his mind. suddenly, his dayâs a little bit brighter now, heâs not stressed anymore, and with your smile, he feels as if he can accomplish anything. now, he wants you to be the one to fill his days, afternoons, and nights.
and itâs probably the cheesiest thought thatâs ever popped up in his business-centric mind, but thatâs how love goes, he can only assume. the worst part is that heâs letting it take over him and he canât find anything in him thatâs saying no, that he shouldnât push through with it, that itâs probably his loneliness playing tricks on him again. but, for the first time in his life, heâs able to say that yes, heâs ready to grab that opportunity, that chance for love, even if itâs uncertain, even if it hurts him somewhere along the way.
chan laughs.
itâs the mundanity of everything that intrigues him and chan wonders how a woman has managed to capture his heart in this manner. would it be selfish to ask for more when he supposedly has everything he could ever need? nevertheless, he rolls his chair back, a soft blush on his cheeks, before standing up and making his way to your desk.
no plan.
no questions of howâs and whyâs.
you immediately stand up from your chair to bow and greet him and the female employee does the same, bowing with a small smile etched on her lips. chan grins and heâd be stupid to ignore the way his hands start sweating when you give him one back.
âcome eat lunch with me,â he hums, putting his hands in his pockets. you tilt your head, eyebrows scrunching in response. chan chuckles as his head mimics yours. âunless, you have plans?â
you shake your head in response. chan catches the way you give your colleague a look and in his peripheral, he sees her scrambling away, a soft giggle leaving her lips. both of your eyes lock once more and you grin.Â
âlet me get my stuff, then we can go, sir.â
in chanâs position, itâs always calculatedâ the probabilities of securing a sale, the percentage of the stock theyâll be able to acquire, and all that business stuff heâd grown accustomed to.
but now, heâs forced to think of all the possible outcomes in a scenario where nothing is certain.
there are many variables that come and interfere with the process of falling in love. feelings and emotions are built up over time and he canât help but reminisce as the two of you make your way to the cafe. images of him getting angry flash in front of him, partnered with many different instances where the both of you argued in his office. he also remembers the way your eyes turn glossy during said arguments and the way you storm out when it gets too heated.
but, apart from memories like those, chan recalls the soft moments heâs shared with you over the course of the 8 years youâve been together. the knowing stares, the smiles you share from across the room, the blushes that form on both of your cheeks, and the way the both of your hands absentmindedly reach out for each other when you think no oneâs looking.
itâs become a secret language that none of you have consciously created.
and as chan pushes the cafe door open for you, heâs reminded that the line between your work relationship and friendship has been blurred for a long time. the both of you have grown closer to each other ever since you started spending more nights with him in his office. though itâs complicated, he knows that youâre not just his secretary anymore, but youâre someone he can confide in and someone he can trust.
with these, the outcomes that can arise from this conversation with you become hazier than when he started thinking of them.
the phone in his pocket is tempting, but he decides not to call changbin up for this one. he doesnât know when and how to start, but at the end of the day, there are no rules to falling in love.
before you could fall in line, chan puts a hand on your shoulder. you turn to him as you raise an eyebrow.
âgo,â chan tilts his head in the direction of a free table, âiâll order for us.â
you blink. âbutââ
âi insist,â chan chuckles as he rubs the back of his neck. âwe donât usually go out for lunch, soââhe grabs his wallet, holding it up for you to seeââitâs my treat.â
you step in closer, voice hushed only for him to hear, âyou donât have to, chan.â
formalities dropped, like what heâs used to with you in private, but it feels different now, hearing his name out in public. it rolls off of your tongue so easily and he canât help but feel like heâs on a date.
âi want to,â he responds after a short while, watching as your cheeks turn bright red. âplus, itâs no big deal. we can always eat lunch together in the future if youâre up for it.â Â mentally, chan exhales shakily as the words leave his mouth.
you clear your throat as you nod and turn away, walking over to the table with no protests.
chan exhales through his nose as he finds his lips quirking up into a fond smile. his eyes follow you as you take a seat. he forces himself to look away before you could catch him staring, but at the side of his eye, he knows you already knew.
one thought pops up in his mind as he walks over to the table after ordering and paying, how was he supposed to go about this?
it brings him back to the talk about probabilities and being secure in your decision despite the uncertainty that comes with it. thereâs a huge probability of him not getting the response he desperately wants to hear. is it enough, the moments youâve shared, good and bad, for your feelings to grow as much as his did? and did you even have feelings for him in the first place?
he hopes the answer to both questions is affirmative.
chanâs hands start sweating as he grips the chair, pulling it away from the table. he takes a seat, your eyes locking with his as he makes himself comfortable. he had to admit that he has no plan and he has no idea what heâd end up saying, but as heâd come to know just earlier, love is about free falling and trusting the other that theyâll catch you. and one part of him knows, deep down, that your arms are open and ready.
at least, thatâs what he wants to believe.
âmiss y/l/n,â chan starts, clasping his hands on the table, âi brought you here toââ
your eyebrows shoot up as your mouth opens. âwow,â you chuckle shakily. âso formal. is this serious?â
for chan, it is.
his face heats up as he unclasps his hands, subtly wiping them on his pants. he flashes you a sheepish smile. âi just wanted to talk to you about something.â
you tilt your head, eyes not leaving his. chanâs heart starts beating faster as his lips part, but only a shaky sigh leaves it.
chan prides himself in his public speaking skills. he wouldnât be called the industryâs Wolf if he didnât do his job well. heâs spoken to a full stadium, presented in front of the worldâs most prominent businessmen, and heâs travelled around the world giving seminars to people who aspire to be like him. but for some reason, heâs in front of a woman and heâs suddenly tongue-tied.
but, itâs not just any woman. itâs the woman heâs in love with. the thought makes him reel. saying it to himself has just proven that heâs madly in love with his secretary, you, y/n y/l/n. the woman whoâs been with him ever since the beginning of this god-forsaken journey, the woman whoâs seen him at his most vulnerable, the woman whoâs stood by him after all these years.
âiââ
âis this about the schedule for this week?â your voice cuts through his thoughts and it scrambles them. chan feels like a teenager at this moment as his shoulders tense up, mind going blank at the melody of your voice.
âno, y/nââ
âi actually wanted to bring it up with you, as well. iâve noticed that there are some inconsistencies with the schedule at the office and the schedule we prepared,â you grab a folder from your bag, laying it on the table, and opening it. chan blinks and swallows.
his eyes scan the paper in front of him, the surface littered with messy writing with a variety of colours adorning them. itâs hard to read if the both of you settled for this as the official schedule, but somehow, it doesnât annoy him anymore. instead, his heart aches at the sight of your handwriting, the strokes completely unique to you and the design, if one could call it that, screams your name.
âunless,â you hum, âthis isnât what you wanted to talk about?â
as much as humanly possible, chan wasnât here to talk about anything work-related. if only you knew the reasons behind his invitation, you wouldnât be whipping out the damned folder. nevertheless, even as his shoulders fall to his sides, he leans over on the table, trying his best to focus on whatever it is you have brought to his attention.
âitâs fine,â he starts. âtell me about the problems, instead.â
âchanââ
âno,â he dismisses. âitâs nothing important. it can wait.â
this is what he gets for not having a plan in the first place. falling in love is all about falling into the depths of what is essentially the unknown, but it doesnât mean that he has to dive in head first with no helmet. he groans internally as you flatten the paper on the desk, his confession thrown out of the window thatâs beside the two of you.
suppose, itâs not the right time nor is it the right place. if chan was looking for fireworks and a grand celebration for his realization earlier, then maybe he can be the one to give that to the both of you once he actually gathers the courage to tell you how he feels. despite his defeat today, he forces himself to sit in front of you, and listening as you get into the nitty-gritty of the schedule in the office and the schedule you have on-hand.
truthfully, chanâs seen the inconsistencies before you could, but he lets you tell him, the sweet melody of your voice wrapping itself around and in him as he rests his cheek on his palm, eyes not leaving you.Â
âchan?â
your voice snaps him out of his trance and he raises an eyebrow.Â
âbefore i go on,â you giggle, âiâm paying the next time we go out, okay?â
chan cracks a smile, heart bursting at the thought of getting to be with you like this again. he hopes itâll be a more relaxed setting. no more talk of work. just you and him, like heâd envisioned it to be.
âalright.â
hopefully, heâll get to tell you next time. heâll hold onto that.
the fateful next time comes rather quickly, just three days after the first one.
it comes in the form of a successful contract, with the client agreeing to it almost immediately. chan could sit back and say that itâs all his doing, that itâs with his charisma and wit that charmed the client, but truth be told, he couldnât have done it without you.
first, without you, he wouldnât have known about the company. sue him for not being interested in smaller companies as business partners, but itâs with your exceptional ability to get him to listen thatâs made him understand the appeal. second, without you, the process wouldnât have been as smooth as it was. papers arrived on time, meetings were set without a hitch, and the relationship with the client was amenable enough that it made transactions easier.
of course, all of the things youâve done are considered to be the behind the scenes of a successful company, but for chan, youâre front and center. and though the success is connected to his name, itâs always also going to be your success.
as chan offers polite goodbyes to the businessmen who were exiting, his eyes drift to the other end of the room and it lands on you, glowing, with a wide smile thatâs taking over your lips. your hairâs a bit disheveled, blouse not neatly tucked in, and the bags under your eyes are now more prominent than the last time heâs seen them, but to him, youâre still the most beautiful woman in the room. itâs multiplied tenfold when he sees you speaking to the client, the two of you laughing because of something you whispered.
chanâs heart aches and he knew it was the right time.
this is why he finds himself leading you up to the company rooftop.
chanâs an incredibly simple man when it comes to lifeâs pleasures. if he wants something, heâll ask and heâll get it, as simple as that. but, this is different. if chan wants to get somethingâget you, he knows he has to exert effort, even if it was as cheesy as confessing while the sun is setting in the horizon.
he has a plan now, a script to follow, and a solution to every outcome that may arise, but why are his hands still sweating in his pockets and why is he feeling light-headed?
chan pushes the rooftop door open, motioning for you to step outside first. he fights the urge to smile fondly when you narrow your eyes toward him. you step out nevertheless and he hears you gasp when you look out to the cityâs skyline. he steps out himself, the door closing softly behind him.
the building is positioned perfectly toward the sunset and the light outlines your features. youâre glowing and itâs brighter than the brightest star responsible for this view right in front of him. chan puts his hands inside of his pockets as he stands next to you, watching the way the air ruffles your clothes and your hair from the corner of his eye. how he wishes he could be the wind softly grazing your skin as you looked out to the horizon.
chan lets out a soft chuckle as he shakes his head.
standing beside you, he understands why people say that love brings out the worst in you. chanâs never been the one to open up. used to guarding himself, he was taught to always be strong and to never show vulnerability, especially in public. he had an image to protect, a family legacy to keep going, and being weak wonât help him at all.
but, maybe, you can help him with that. make his worst into his best. chan sighs shakily.
âyou did well,â chan starts as he taps his foot. you turn to him with a grin.
âthank you, sir. i couldnât have done it without you.â
you cough softly as the words leave your lips. both of your cheeks heat up and chan uses this opportunity to move closer to you, the warm, afternoon air flowing around the both of you. just like the first time, the confession heâs prepared in his head is scrambled and he didnât know when or where to start.
come to think of it, changbin did mention cue cards. chan smacks himself internally.
âyes, well,â his voice cracks slightly, âi didnât bring you up here just to praise you.â you raise an eyebrow. âyou and i both know of your abilities, so i wonât inflate your ego any further.â
âinflate my non-existent ego?â you joke, earning a giggle from chan.
chan turns to face you, wiping his palms on the side of his pants. you mimic him as you cross your arms in front of your chest, your head tilted to the side. your eyes lock and chanâs mouth grows dry. youâre the most beautiful woman heâs ever seen and he wonders why heâs never pieced it together before.
chan takes a step forward before taking your hand into his. he feels you hesitate for a moment, your hand threatening to pull itself away from his touch, but after a while, your fingers relax into his palm, as do your shoulders. your eyes scan his face and chan prepares himself to dive into the depths of love, hopelessly.
ây/n,â he starts. âweâve been working together for a long time now andââ chan rubs his thumb on the back of your handââi can say that youâre one of the most extraordinary women iâve ever had the opportunity to be with.â your eyes widen. âand itâs not just about our professional relationship, but itâs also about our relationship outside of it.â
âyouâre not just my secretary,â chan pauses to look at youâyour eyebrows are scrunched and your mouth is slightly open. âyou are my friend, someone i can talk to when iâm alone, someone i can confide to, but y/nâŠâ chan taps his foot gently on the floor as he looks out to the horizon once more, wetting his lips. he hangs his head briefly before letting your eyes meet.
ây/n, i want to be more than that for you. i want to be more than just frieââ
a familiar tune plays in the rooftop and chan recognizes it almost immediately. your ringtone. what amazing timing this has been.
chan blinks as the warmth on his hand disappears. his heart is ringing in his ears, yet he catches your quick apology as you fish your phone out of your pocket. before you could say anything else, chan nods, shoving his hand inside his pocket again. you shoot him an apologetic look before you make your way out of earshot.
chan steps forward to grip the roof railing enough to make his knuckles turn white. he hunches over it as his stomach starts to hurt. he feels as if his blood has been drained from his body and his head becomes light, a stark contrast to the way his chest feels in the moment. he gags softly when the air blows on his face.
he was so close to the edge, both literally and figuratively, but the ringtone had to pull him back to square one. if he thought that his mind was a pain in the ass earlier, it was worse now.
one thing is clear, though. the confession has been eating him up the past few days and if he wanted to feel like himself again, he had to tell you, even if it meant getting rejected and making things awkward around the office.
he could always continue once you come back, right?
but, he learns now that the universe has a funny way of fucking with him. he canât continue anymore because how could he when you returned to him out of breath, eyes bloodshot, and hands shaky?
ây/n?â chan questions, pitch higher than intended. he puts his hands on your arms to grip them gently as he scans your face. he tries to ignore the panic thatâs brewing in his stomach. another thing to add to the list of the things happening in his body.
âdid something happen? is there an emergency?â
âmyâmy sisterââ you stutter, tears flowing down your cheeks. chan prepares himself for the worst.
ây/n, iââ
âshe passed her dream university!â you exclaim before bursting out crying again. chan slightly deflates, his shoulders falling to his sides and his chest becoming lighter. he rubs your arms awkwardly before pulling away with a nervous laugh.
âi thought it wasââ
âno, chan! you donât understand how serious this is!â you scream. âweâve been talking about it ever since she was a kid, now, sheâs on her way to college. and not just any college! itâs her dream uni! sure, itâs expensive, but you know, we can make it work! we always do!â you run your hand through your now disheveled hair, a huge smile forming on your lips. âyou know that one time i was telling you about my sister taking the exam? this was for that university! theââ
chan sighs internally. if he confessed now, he would be stealing such a monumental moment from you. it wasnât about him or your relationship anymore, but itâs about your family and your personal life. instead, he lets you ramble as he rests his arm on the railing, watching and listening to you and your stories. chan tilts his head gently, a fond smile on his lips.
next time.Â
heâll get to tell you next time.
lucky for chan, the next time comes exactly the next day during the companyâs big blowout party for him.
he finds himself waiting for you in the car and the both of you were running behind schedule, but he knows why. youâve always wanted to take your time dressing up during formal events such as this. of course, heâd always offered a professional stylist to make sure the schedules donât suffer from your tardiness, but time and time again, you would decline. the memory makes chan scoff in the backseat, letting out a soft huff after.
âlate again, sir?â his driver teases.
chan puts his arm on the arm rest as he replies, âas usual.â
when the front door of your house opens, chanâs reminded of the reason why heâs never pushed the professional stylist offer.
youâve done your hair in a manner chan hasnât seen before, but it suited you. your make upâs bold, but elegant, and your dress hugs your body perfectly, leaving nothing to the imagination. he gulps. youâve always upstaged your looks and tonightâs no different. chan knows youâre definitely going to outshine him in the party later, but you deserved to be seen the way he sees youïżœïżœnot just as his secretary, but as a professional who commands respect in the rooms she walks in.
as chan sharply inhales at the sight of you, his driver chuckles quietly.
he knows deep down that he had to say something tonight, but as usual, heâs ready with the cheesy speechâthe âyouâre the best thing thatâs ever happened to meâ, the âi want to be yoursâ, but heâs just not sure when to tell you. would it be a good idea to steal you away in the middle of a company event or would it be better if he waited until the both of you were alone?
another day, another dilemma it seems. however, this particular dilemma has no right answer. no matter what he thinks of, thereâs always a negative outcome.
before he could delve deeper, he sees the car door open through his peripheral. âweâre late again.â
you hum nonchalantly as you make yourself comfortable in the backseat. âgood evening to you too, sir.â
âare we good to go now or are we still on your schedule, miss y/l/n?â
âthereâs nothing wrong with being fashionably late, right mr. bang?â
but, as most things in chanâs world, there is something wrong with being âfashionably lateâ. you and chan are ushered out of the car as soon as you arrive at the company. the staff are muttering something about the crowd waiting for the two of youâfor the grand entrance as the others have labelled before.
despite being part of the industry for a long time, chan could only roll his eyes at the formality of it all. it wouldnât hurt to let loose, but he lets the staff guide the both of you to where you needed to be.
on the way to the event hall, chan unbuttons his black formal polo. he tells himself that itâs for show, but really itâs to let out the heat that has formed throughout his body as the thought of potentially being able to tell you about his feelings takes over his mind, alongside his thoughts of feeling like a teenager again. nevertheless, he tries his best not to look in your direction as you walked beside him.
once you arrive, the staff tell the both of you to wait as they prepare the hall for the grand entrance. chan thanks them as they disappear from sight, leaving the two of you alone. he shuffles awkwardly as he waits before hearing a soft âtskâ leave your lips. he turns his head toward you, but before he could ask, your hands are on his chest.
chan freezes, but he finds it in himself to choke out your name, mouth drying up as he feels the heat from your fingertips through the fabric of his polo.
âbuttons,â you mutter, your fingers finding their way to the buttons he unbuttoned only moments before. âyou have to look presentable, chan. there are a lot of eyes in there.â
his eyes travel from your hands to your face. your eyebrows are furrowed as you focused on the task at hand and he almost forgets to breathe the whole time youâre on him. your perfume takes over his senses and for a moment, he thinks heâll float because of the cheesy happiness that has started to bubble in his chest, but he doesnât. instead, when you raise your eyes to meet his and he sees that sparkle that heâs grown to love, heâs brought back to reality.
and thatâs when he realizes, after years of denying it to himself, that itâs not a feeling anymore. chanâs sure that you make him human. around you, heâs not bang christopher chan, the countryâs youngest and most successful CEO, instead, heâs chan, the 28-year-old man whoâs hopelessly searching for genuine connection in an industry that offers none of the sort.
chanâs on top, constantly, and the others that have come before you have made sure to keep him there, but youâve grounded him in reality every time the both of you were together. may it be as simple as you answering back to him or as deep as listening to him rambling about god knows what during quiet nights in the office, youâve always offered him a time and a place to feel humanâbe human, even for just a few minutes.
chan mumbles your name once more, but you donât seem to hear as you lightly pat his now-buttoned chest with a smile on your lips.
âthere,â you hum. âkeep them buttoned for the rest of the night, okay?â
âiââ
âimagine all the articles when you come in there with your chest in full view,â you giggle as you start stepping back to your previous position beside him.
ây/nââ
you playfully cross your arms in front of your chest as you continue, âyou have to thank me someday, you knoââ
ây/n,â he cuts you off. âcan you please listen to me?â you stop in your tracks as you turn your head, eyebrows raised.
you blink in his direction, lips parting, âiâm listening, sir.â you tilt your head. âwhatâs wrong?â
chan moves in closer to you as you turn your body towards him, arms falling to your sides. âon the rooftopâŠâ
âyes?â
âi didnât get to finish my, umâŠâ
your eyes widen. âyes, of course!â you exclaim. âi remember, yes.â
the two of you stand in silence for a moment as chan tries to collect himself, mind a complete and utter mess like the first time heâs faced with this exact same situation. he looks up at the ceiling as he tries to think of a word, a phrase, a sentence, anything else he can say to free himself of the shackles he voluntary put on himself.
your voice cuts through his thoughts as you ask, âdid you want to tell me now?â you look at the door in front of you. âweâre due to enter soon.â
âiâm aware,â chan mumbles as he steps in closer to you once more, âbut, this wonât take long.â
you nod, eyes scanning his face as your eyes meet. chan inhales, letting out, âhow can iâokay. shit.â
this is already a disaster. whereâs his cue cards? âiâll justââ
âchan?â you question, moving in closer to him as well, concern clouding the sparkle in your eyes.
âyouâre amazing,â chan blurts out, albeit a little muddled. nothing like the present, yes?
âiââ
âyou amaze me,â chan continues. âand you continue to do so after years of us working together and i sometimes wonderââhe grabs a hold of your hand as his starts to shakeââhow you do it.â your lips part and chan notices how your chest has stopped moving.
âyouâre so charming and justââ chan lets go of your hand abruptly as he turns away from you, his hand finding its way to his forehead before hanging his head and groaning to himself. he turns back to you, your whole body frozen in place.
âi guess what iâm trying to say is that i lââ
âmr. bang? ms. y/l/n?â one of staff interrupts. you and chan jump away from each other, both awkwardly looking around the hall as blushes form on your cheeks. chan forces himself to make eye contact with the staff member as he rubs the back of his neck. he gives the woman a half hearted smile as he raises an eyebrow.
âweâre ready for you.â
you and chanâs eyes meet as the sentence echoes throughout the hall. he swears under his breath as his shoulders fall, eyes closing as he releases a huff.
âchan,â you mutter, a hint of worry in your voice. he inhales sharply before shaking his head and putting on his best smile for the lady thatâs decided to ruin the moment. he nods before closes his fist as he turns toward the door, his jaw clenched. he feels you tug on his sleeve, but he ignores it, heart thumping in his chest as he offers his arm out for you.
âwe have to focus now,â chan replies after a short silence. âitâsâŠitâs not important.â
you donât say anything else as the atmosphere in the room turns heavy.
for chan, at least.
as the crew finishes up the final preparations around the both of you, you snake your arm around his and chan tries his best not to dampen the mood any further. he straightens his posture, his lips fall in a straight line, and his jaw relaxes as he exhales. and as much as he would hate to admit it, itâs in defeat. yet again.
before he could wallow in his own despair, you ask, âare we dancing tonight, sir?â
it takes a second for him to respond. âunfortunately not, miss y/l/n.â
ânot in the mood to show off tonight?â
chan scoffs softly and he hears you giggle. his chest tightens at the sound, yet he appreciates the effort in making the whole situation less awkward than it is. picking up from where the both of you left off, like he wasnât just about to pour his heart and soul to you.
âi donât think we need to,â chan plays along. âthis partyâs for us.â
âus?â you exclaim with a small smile. chan merely nods.
despite the playful banter, he couldnât help but feel disappointed in himself. why was it so hard to justâŠsay what he needed to say? he can have a ton of scripts at his disposal, but why is it that when heâs in front of you heâs tongue tied? he felt like an idiot, a love-stricken idiot who couldnât say it straight no matter how much he plans it out.
one question pops up in his slew of thoughts. âif not tonight, then when?â
he may never know the answer to that question. but, one thing is clear to him.
he started this week with some form of optimism that heâll end up with an actual connection, but now, he feels as if heâs three steps back from his starting position. he sighs internally as he fixes his posture once more. no rest for the weary because the door to the event hall slowly opens and he squints at the light shining right at the two of you. Â he feels you squeeze his arm gently and he gives you a reassuring look in response.
chan tunes out his thoughts of his failed confessions and his inner voice saying, ânext time.â he puts on another smile for the crowd as the both of you start walking in the event hall, the thunderous applause becoming deafening.
here we go again.

heyy first off im obsessed w your account and the underdog quartet but also i feel like, with your new jess/paris playlist post, we need to acknowledge paris and jessâs first interaction when paris went into lukeâs diner in âRichard goes to stars hollowâ they had a very subtle interaction but he was clearly memorable enough to her to remember him and his name. I wonder if whenever paris when to stars hollow in the future she would look for jess what do you think
Thank you so much for this ask and the kind words!!! Iâm obviously obsessed with UQ too, so finding more people who love that dynamic is just amazing!
Also yes we only had about two direct interactions between Paris and Jess but holy shit was the platonic chemistry there!! Paris bothering to remember him is something I would love to take as a sign that she was a Jess gal (especially since if you combine that with Keiko Agena saying she and Lane are team Jess, that means all my faves support my ship!)
Now for Jess and Paris specifically, I could honestly give you three different types of answers for this. First is that ASP and company didnât feel like exploring that dynamic, so Paris probably doesnât think about Jess or seek him out in the future, especially not after Roryâs break up. But that take is boring so letâs go for wild headcanons!
The second approach is on the more realistic side. I bet that Paris would avoid bringing up Jess every time he popped into her mind in front of Rory, but she would be too desperate to finally have that decent conversationalist to not bug Rory about him. She probably wouldnât head over to Stars Hollow of her own accord considering how disappointed she was with the research results for that article, but she would ask about when Jess could come over to Hartford so she could rip his literary takes to shreds at a nearby cafe or at the elder Gilmores. Once Jess and Rory were a couple, Paris would double down on her requests but probably only have them met once or twice (Jess has work, Rory still has a tendency to compartmentalize parts of her life etc.). Post-breakup Paris would take Roryâs side, but secretly be sad to see a potential friend go. She probably felt like this guys really could be something, not just for Rory who seemed to finally get decent taste in boys, but for Paris who was finally starting to get more true friends. She carries a secret team Jess torch for the rest of the series but hides it in general criticism of any and all guys Rory is involved with.
On to approach three, aka balls to the walls whatever I want!! Hold on to your hat because this will be a long and windy ride:
After the diner-meet, Paris is intrigued by the guy who played along with her interrogation and eye-flirted with Rory. She doesnât think sheâll see him again, but she would be lying if she said she didnât want to.
After the dinner at Roryâs, Paris is honestly elated to finally have a great literary conversation with a guy her age. The only one to have come close is Rory, and that doesnât say much for the «opposite sex» in Parisâ eyes. But sheâs also furiously disagreeing with Jessâ «Austen loves Bukowski»-take, so she writes a whole several page argumentative essay and forces Rory to deliver it to Jess the next school day.
Jess responds not with a letter, but by having Rory hand Paris an annotated («blasphemy!») copy of a Bukowski work. There are no arguments from Jess notes, just underlines of quotes he thinks Austen would approve of, and excerpts from different Austen works put in the margins for comparison. Paris despises him for how much she is seeing his point.
At some point Rory getâs sick of being a carrier pigeon and drags Paris with her to ST after school so the two can fight in person. All three stay until Lorelai pops over for dinner, and Paris realizes she needs to haul herself over to the bus. Sheâs hungry and worried about the time she should have spent on homework, but ultimately really happy about the day.
Sheâs bummed to see Jess go after the car accident, but doesnât have much time to think about it between school and⊠well, school. She does end up being one of the few Rory can talk to about Jess without getting the whole «bad bad boy»-speech she gets over in ST and at her grandparentsâ.
Rory doesnât tell Paris Jess is back until the very end of their Washington trip when Paris finds the unfinished letter and Paris is boiling. She does cool quickly, but only to constantly bug Rory about when the three of them are going to meet up again for coffee and verbal war. Rory gets so stressed about it that at some point she gives Paris the number to Lukeâs and tells her to go on her own for all Rory cares.
Paris does. Jess is surprised, but they get in the groove quick. What doesnât go as smoothly is Paris asking what the hell is going on between him and Rory. His non-answers pretty much spell everything out, and in a rare moment of comradery, Paris decides to turn the conversation in to hating on Dean. Jess appreciates it. It doesnât happen again, but Paris firmly puts herself in the team Jess camp from then on.
Paris is releived once Jess and Rory finally are together and it is great! More cafe talks! Study sessions! Movie nights! They even sneak both Paris and Lane out into concerts! Paris feels like for the first time in a very long time, she has real friends her own age. The kind who actually like you for you and want to spend time with you for you, not just to get better grades or a better reputation.
Paris sucks at being strong for Rory when Jess leaves. Like, she takes it really personal. This was supposed to be the one good guy, and he decided to be just like everyone else. But with time she learns to coach Rory into speaking her mind about the whole thing, and to support her in her own Paris-y way.
What she doesnât tell Rory is that at some point after summer break (either because she gets hold of Jess for some scolding or because Lane does and spills to Paris or even if Jess gets in touch himself) Jess starts sending Paris beat up books he collects on the road around the country. None of them feature letters (at first), but annotations at the beginning declaring his safety and momentary location, as well as his general style annotations of the book inside the text. Paris starts responding with letters, and with time they start talking on phones and through email.
Paris helps Jess with his GED. They make it an equal study-buddy thing because Paris needs help taking certain writers seriously in her essays. Most of their sessions are over the phone, and a lot of it is just them daring each other to actually try. Paris gets actual stars on her improved essays, and Jess passes with flying colours.
Paris doesnât know about Truncheon until Jess stands in front of her place ages later, dressed like a Kids Bop version of himself and holding a messengerbag with his debut novel. Paris tears through it in two hours (forcing Jess to sit on the couch next to her the whole time) and then spends another half hour furiously trying to tear it to shreds but actually praising it. She gives him their first hug ever, and hopes this afternoon is a sign theyâll slowly get back to being close friends in person.
Paris sucks at hiding how team Jess she is. So. Much. She does have genuine critiques of Logan and other guys, but her gut-defenses of Jess at random times in the day and weird reminiscing back to the «good old days» of diner talk after school gives her away immediately. Rory is uncomfortable, but Paris doesnât even change her mind after Rory still picks Logan.
What she does do is invite Jess over for grown up evenings with Doyle. Whenever Rory is scheduled to be out and Jess needs to visit Luke anyway, Paris extends her invitation. They test wines based on price and taste, watch cult classics, eat takeout (in honour of Parisâ very first Mac and Cheese night) and talk for hours. One day wires cross and Jess gets in while Rory is there/Rory gets back while Jess is there and things get awkward.
Paris invites Jess to the graduation. Yes she has a limited amount of tickets and yes itâs weird to invite your friend who has barely been around ever but damn it she wants him there. He came to her when he was celebrating his accomplishments, she wants him to be there for hers.
They actually grow even closer as adults; emailing, texting and calling regularly. About 70% of it is general banter and picking on everything and everyone around them, but itâs a far more loving kind now â not that anyone who isnât them would know, from the outside it looks like they want to kill each other. Regardless of outcome, Paris remains forever team Jess, and the two end up having each otherâs backs for life.
So this went long and away from the point (and I only went through Parisâ pov!) but it was fun to write! I hope you like rant answers!

I have self diagnosed adhd and i was wondering if you could provide some advice regarding reading. I used to be able to just pick up a book and read when i was younger, but now that I'm older it's a bit difficult to just pick up a book and read for the sake of reading. I love reading, but i just can't seem to motivate myself to.
Any advice? I'd really love to get back into reading, but I'm trying to find a way to do it easier
Hello! Iâm sorry this took me so long to answer, Iâve been mostly off Tumblr for a little while. I saw this some time ago at 3AM and thought âthis deserves a more coherent response than I can give right nowâ and then forgot that this blog existed for several days.
That said, I absolutely have some advice for reading! I was a big reader as a kid, too, and Iâve recently had to re-discover reading after a long gap in any time spent sitting down with an honest-to-goodness book. There are a number of things you might consider!
DISTRACTIONS
First and foremost, recognize the reason it is difficult to read! For me, it is because reading isnât the most interesting thing available. That doesnât mean I donât love reading! If I can manage to sit down and read a book, it is immensely satisfying - but itâs the satisfaction of the effort you put into something paying off. My favorite hobbies - drawing, writing, reading - are my favorite because of that sense of accomplishment that they give me.Â
I love the feeling of holding a book and watching my bookmark move through the pages each time I set it down. However, it doesnât give me the same instant gratification of reading wikipedia, or tvtropes, or scrolling Tumblr, or checking notifications on social media; even when I am unsatisfied, or even frustrated, with the internet, it can be very hard to put down. I know that people will tell you all the time âYou need to put your phone down more!!â It gets old. But they have a point. What people donât tell you is how to do that.Â
For me, that tends to be about making it inconvenient for myself to get online, or do whatever is distracting me. This doesnât necessarily mean making it completely unavailable. The distraction just needs to be less available than the task I want to do. I am the kind of person who gets online out of muscle memory, and then gets stuck there. Thus, many of my tricks rely on disrupting the muscle memory that lets you pick up distractions. I will put my laptop charger in another room, so that my screen time is limited to its battery life. I might tie a string around my laptop, or tape it closed, so when I go to open it I will be reminded âOh yeah, I donât want to do this right now.â I will occasionally rearrange the apps on my phone, so when I try to open Instagram and end up with the weather app instead, the thought of âwait, how did i get hereâ will snap me out of the thoughtless habits that led me to pick up my phone in the first place. Iâve even gone so far as to tape my phone to the ceiling. Whatever works.
If the weather permits, I might also walk a little ways down the block and find somewhere to sit and read. This can come with its own distractions, but it gets me away from my laptop, and I get a tiny bit more exercise and sunshine than I would have otherwise! This depends, of course, on whether you have transportation and whether you feel safe. But getting yourself out of the house can be a great way to get away from the things that would otherwise draw you away from reading. If you have a local cafe or library that permits you to sit and stay, those are also great options! I will bring my phone when I leave the house, but I might put it at the bottom of my bag, or put a bit of scotch tape over the power button, so that I have my phone in case of emergency but itâs just slightly inconvenient to get to without thinking about it.
It may not be the internet distracting you. But whatever the distraction is, it doesnât need to be less compelling than reading. It just needs to be less readily available than your book is!
ENTHUSIASM
Another thing that prevents me from reading is that it often doesnât have the same sense of urgency that other tasks might, whether that urgency is real or not. Give yourself a time limit! I may own books I havenât read yet, but I will get to a book sooner if I have borrowed it from the library, because I know there is a deadline to return it!Â
You can also get other people involved. If you have a friend who wants to read the same book, commit to a chapter or two a week and then call to discuss it.Â
Or, if you have a friend who would be interested, and you are comfortable with your reading voice, you could read to someone! It might feel weird to offer, but youâd be surprised how many people really do enjoy being read to. If you both have time in your schedules, you could try to set up a regular call to get through a few chapters at a time.Â
Generally, having a friend who likes the book is great for maintaining enthusiasm, even if theyâre not reading it with you - I get to books faster if someone with similar taste says âThis is one of my favorites! You would love it!â If you have a friend who has read the book you plan on reading, announce to them that you intend on reading it. Their enthusiasm might help you feel more compelled to read it, and thereâs a good chance that if you donât sit down and read it, they will remind you by asking âHave you read it yet? What do you think?â the next time you talk to them.
PREPARATION
Another great way to make reading easier is to set up a reading space beforehand. Itâs one thing to pick up a book and say âIâve been meaning to read this.â Itâs another thing to put on some pajama pants, make a cup of tea, and curl a soft blanket around your shoulders before you settle down to read. For one thing, itâs just nice. But more importantly, it can function as a signal that tells your brain âit is Reading Time now. We are in the Reading Zone.â
Do you ever watch a TV show or listen to a podcast, and you let the theme song play on the first episode, and then skip it for the rest? Even if Iâve watched a show before, I will play the theme song on the first episode I watch that day. Itâs the same principle - it serves as a transition, an intro that says âthis is where I am now, and this is what Iâm doing.â Give yourself an intro for reading! Have a certain spot that you like to sit when you read. Have a certain snack you eat beforehand.
I have all kinds of tasks with little âritualsâ before them that help me focus on that task, or certain items that I interact with which I associate with it. I call them âdeclarations of intent,â and once Iâve made a declaration itâs easier to commit to it. Sometimes that means simply saying out loud, âI am going to do the laundry now.â Sometimes it means I wear a certain shirt if Iâm planning to go for a walk that day, or drink from a certain mug at breakfast if I want to get some homework done. I have a specific hat that I put on when I want to write a certain character. Try to find something you can do to act as a cue that says âWhen I do this, then I will read a book.â Because of this, it can help to really lean into whatever the âaestheticâ of reading is, in your mind. Embrace a reading atmosphere!
It may also help to recognize that reading is something you can work your way up to! There is no shame in being out of practice with a hobby. I took my reading proficiency for granted for a long time because it was just a part of my life. It may help to think of reading as a skill! Start with something smaller and work your way up. Pick up a book of short stories or folktales before you tackle that six-book series youâve heard good things about! Set achievable goals for yourself when youâre setting out. An early success can make a huge difference to morale, and itâs much better to start âtoo easyâ and accomplish something than to jump in at the deep end and be frustrated by an early setback.
FORGIVENESS
On the topic of working your way up to things, I would like to say a word about mindset. It is easy to feel self-critical about things. Things that you think should come more easily to you. Things that you feel like you have no reason not to be able to do. One of the biggest things Iâve done for my ADHD is recognizing that there is always a reason why I behave a certain way. Accepting that allows me to actually address my struggles, rather than just feeling ashamed of them. Iâve had to accept that I wonât always do things that I set out to do the way I set out to do them.
I bring this up because not all of my advice here may work for you. In fact, some of it doesnât work for me every time - a technique may work once, but I might fail to make a regular habit of it. I may make a regular habit of something, only to have it become less effective as the novelty of it, or my enthusiasm for it, wears off. I may eventually talk myself out of implementing an effective strategy because there is some part of it that I find unpleasant; or an intentional unpleasantness I once found motivating may eventually become intolerable.
Thatâs okay. Iâm telling you now, itâs okay if that happens. Itâs okay if the first method you try doesnât work. Donât set yourself up to feel frustrated. If you become frustrated, take a step back. If you borrow a library book and you still havenât read it by the due date, just give it back. If you donât actually enjoy the first book you pick up, put it down and try a different one. If you feel badly about not reading something your friend wants you to read, be honest and tell them you have a hard time sitting down, and that you donât want to disappoint them if they keep asking, but that you will let them know once you have started it!
It can be easy to convince myself that feeling badly about something means itâs important to me, and that maybe if I feel bad about not doing something, it motivate me to do it. There is a balance between making commitments, and not committing to anything that is just going to distress me. Sometimes there is a benefit to a sense of pressure, but I have to recognize when the pressure I create turns into frustration. Thatâs a fine line to walk! For all I speak of inconveniencing yourself, or holding yourself accountable, your strategies should ultimately feel satisfying, and show results fairly quickly! You may not see immediate results, but if it has been several days and your strategy isnât working out, change tactics! And the moment you feel apologetic or ashamed about the thing you are trying to do, drop that strategy. Again, this can be easier said than done, but it is so worthwhile to learn how to allow yourself to âgive upâ on things that arenât actually helping you, without feeling like youâre giving up entirely.
You want to get back into reading again because you want to enjoy reading again. If you set it up to feel like homework, or a chore, or an obligation, you may make it more difficult for yourself! Getting back into reading is about focusing on what you love about reading.
And hey, Iâm always happy to help! I do only check Tumblr every couple weeks right now, but Iâll do what I can to be supportive. If youâve tried these suggestions and they donât work out, no worries! Everyone is different, and itâs no insult to me if things that work for me donât work for you. But feel free to reach out again, let me know anything you have learned about how you function best in the meantime, and we can reevaluate your strategies!
I hope that helps! Happy reading!
#thanks for asking!!#nezjazz#let me know how this works out#a lot of the advice i have for reading is advice i have for Doing Tasks With ADHD in general to be honest#i use the same tricks i use to get myself to read sometimes to get myself to do things like wash dishes#it's about making yourself more interested in what you want yourself to do#and making it easier to do the important things relative to the ease of doing the less important things#i will just straight up delete apps off my phone if i spend too much time on them#most of the time i dont miss them#and tumblr i can access from my laptop it's just slightly more steps to actually log in and type in my password#(i ONLY use tumblr on incognito mode so it doesnt save my login and i have to actually enter my password every time)#(that way i know that if i actually take the steps to log on it's because i WANT to)#(because something about doing that is worth it to me)#(i did that today to come and answer this question lol)#(but that's also why it's taken me so long.)#(do let me know if you have any other questions! i'll be back eventually to help as best i can!)#(and i love feedback)#(if you discover something that works better for yourself let me know that too so i can share with everyone!)

Elixir - Punk!AU mini-series
Hi guys! So I wanted to write something a little different. Not necessarily a âchoose your own adventureâ but something along those lines. This mini series will be a Punk!AU where the reader is in a band where your story depends on the person you choose! While no place is actually mentioned, Iâm thinking Chicago (home sweet home) for setting. Iâve been working on this between requests and, while the requests keep coming, Iâm trying to get the routes going. For now, I present to you the prologue.
Thank you quarantine, necessary drives to my Starbucks, Halestorm, Neck Deep, Pierce the Veil, and Paramore for inspiring these babies. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: there will be swearing, smoking of cigarettes and weed, consumption of edibles and alcohol, cheating and possibly be NSFW. I havenât decided on the last one yet. Everyone will be of legal US age for consumption of nicotine, marijuana, and alcohol in the present day (18+ in some states for tobacco, 21+ in for everything else). However, there are mentions of underage consumption/distribution of alcohol. These are genuinely mature themes! If you are unable to understand that these themes are not encouraged to be re-enacted, specifically cheating and underage consumption/distribution of nicotine, alcohol, or marijuana, please do not read for your own safety.

Prologue is below the cut!
You had been trying to ignore the gnawing thrum of discomfort that had worked its way into your intuition the last few weeks, but today the dull throb had transcended into an alarm blaring at the back of your consciousness. Like your body was trying to tell you something that should have been painstakingly obvious, yet when you attempted to pinpoint the cause, you fell short with an answer.
Period? Nah, too early for that.
Food poisoning? That wouldnât last multiple weeks.
Pulled a muscle at the gym? That was a joke, considering you hadnât gone to a gym since your senior year of college.
Anxiety? Well that was a given, considering you had a nasty gut feeling about something.
Stress? Stress was nothing new. In fact, stress was a very familiar friend to you.
What the fuck was it?
Even meditating on the thought for the last three hours, an answer had yet to come to you. Without ever finding one, you reluctantly pull the plush covers off of your queen sized bed and push yourself up to sit on the edge before checking your phoneâs lock screen for the time. 1:23pm. You still had quite some time before you needed to leave for band practice, but you knew full well that laying in bed any further would encourage your current laziness. Making your way around the clothes that haphazardly littered your disheveled bedroom floor, you entered your bathroom to shower and get ready for the day.
The warmth of the water did little to quell the unsettling feeling that emanated from your gut. You even attempted to center your with old therapy tactics such as identifying all of your surroundings, such as which muscles of your body the shower was raining upon or the different notes in your voice that reverberated off the shower walls as you subconsciously sang. When that had failed, you allowed your mind to wander through the metaphorical meadow that resided in your brain.
At first, your mind focused on whatever lyrics fell from your lips, recognizing the prose as one of your bandâs songs. Connecting the words that were committed to memory with people, your mind began to wander to your friendsâthe three boys you were thankful enough to call your best friends of a decade and members of your band, ElixirâTetsurĆ Kuroo, Takahiro Hanamaki, and YĆ«ji Terushima.
Kuroo, or Tetsu as you sometimes called him, was the guitarist of Elixir and the âmastermindâ behind the name of your little group. Mastermind being a relatively loose term, as at the time, you all had felt indifferent to the name. But as nobody had come with any better alternatives, you all had stuck to it until it had grown on you. Kuroo was a year younger than you and, outside of the band, was a chemist for a small time company at the ripe age of twenty six. As you thought of him, you let out a soft snort that nobody but you could hear, thinking of his disheveled raven haired locks that framed his face; thinking of his earlobe holes that had been stretched out to nearly half an inch in diameter; thinking of the myriad of tattoos that littered his body from neck to toe. Sometimes, it did seem a little funny that this man had to wear a lab coat on the daily. You were so proud of him and of his accomplishments. He was ambitious and driven, focused on his goal of succeeding in both his field and with his band. Whether that meant recording an album and touring or just continuing to have fun was unknown, since really he would be fine with either or both.
Entertaining your analytical thoughts about Kuroo brought you to the bassist of your band, Takahiro Hanamaki, as you had met them both at your high school jobs in a local cafe. Makki, though he initially seemed profoundly reserved, had a relaxed sense of humor that typically came at the expense of others. At the time, he was a distinct contrast to Kurooâs loud, antagonistic nature. Now, the two of them began to take bits and pieces of each otherâs personalities. While Makkiâs cool, composed self remained, he also was not one to avoid baiting someone just to crack a joke or tease them, an attribute he had adopted over the years of exposure to you and the guitarist. However, his laidback attitude was almost never immediately acknowledged by strangers, as his lanky build and harrowing, deep set eyes typically intimidate those who donât know the light hearted bassist. And while he wasnât the most âmodifiedâ member of the band, many saw the two eyebrow rings that rested above the right brow and, in conjunction with his natural features, immediately assumed the impression that Makki was unapproachable. You always had a soft spot for Makki and his slightly misunderstood ways.
Speaking of misunderstood brought your mind to the youngest member of your quartetâYĆ«ji Terushima, or Teru as you affectionately called him. While he was only a year younger than the boys, two years in comparison to you, he was the life energy of the squad. When he had entered the cafe in which you, Kuroo, and Makki worked at for his first day, it felt that the final missing piece of the puzzle had been found, though you didnât know it yet. It had been a year later, with you officially accepting the role of supervisor instead of trainer and Kuroo being your replacement. The two hit it off swimmingly and, while Makki didnât necessarily match his energy, he compensated with humor. Terushima was, and still is, a wild thing. He breathes life into the rest of you by offering up crazy adventures that varied from a simple 2am Walmart trip to breaking into forest preserves at the dead of night to swim in a creek even though you had finals to attend to the following morning. In a sense, Terushima was the very reason Elixir had been born. After all, he was the one who encouraged each you to learn covers of songs until the interest had been sparked enough to learn how to properly play everyoneâs respected instruments.
Backtracking your thoughtsâfinals. Finals meant university, and university was probably the most wild time of your life. As the friendship between the four of you continued to blossom with years passing, you all had made a pact to attend the same university. At one point, it had been tricky, trying to decide on where you were going to go and if you wanted to wait for Teru to catch up due to the age gap or if you, as the eldest, were going to pave the way for your juniors. It came as a surprise to the boys when you announced that you would wait, taking a two year gap in order to save money to lessen the blow of tuition in your bank account. Even more surprisingly, Kuroo and Makki had agreed with each other to do the sameâwhat was the point in you staying behind and waiting for YĆ«ji if they werenât going to as well?
Waiting for Terushima turned out to be the absolute best idea ever. While you were initially hesitant to be rooming with three boys, friendship be damned, the four of you getting an apartment together for your university years was the best chaotic good moment you had ever been involved in. In a way, you all had gotten to celebrate many firsts together because of it. Did it bother you that you were a slightly older freshman? Sure, a little bit. Did it matter? Not at all, considering you were able to start buying liquor and beer as a sophomore in college and, as soon as your younger peers found out, you had turned it into a business to help pay rent for your shared apartment. Oddly enough, Terushima was the one who handled all of the expenses and calculated what you should be charging for your, ahem, âservicesâ. Go figure, the youngest of you all was a math whiz. There was one unwritten rule for the apartmentâno parties. Period. You could use your services to grab whatever supplies needed, whether it be alcohol, weed from a dispensary, or cigarettes, they were for your guysâ personal use only. Home was meant to home, and that was that.
Home; probably the single most important word in the entirety of your personal dictionary. While home was most often defined as a place in which a person or family resides, it meant something entirely different to you. Being home meant being with your best friends, your family. It meant being free to be yourself, unapologetically and unabashedly. And, maybe after rummaging through every single thought and analyzing each one through a metaphorical microscope, maybe that was where the disturbance in your intuitionâthat nasty gut feeling residing in the pit of your stomachâwas coming from. There was something that you could not quite place that was disturbing your freedom, your home. Coming to the realization that your hot water had now gone cold, prompting you to shut it off and seek refuge and warmth in a fluffy towel and robe. Had it gone cold in that momentâthe moment you realized why you had been on edge? Or had it been running cold out of irony that you had been in meditation for so long you hadnât even realized it? You would never know the answer.
2:07pm. You still had plenty of time before band practice, considering both Makki and Tetsu would still be at work for another hour. To give them ample time to unwind from their work day, practice always started at five in the evening. In an attempt to kill time, you opted to make yourself a small lunch before sitting down to do your hair and makeup so as that you felt more comfortable being in public. Not that the boys caredâthey lived with you for four years in university, they knew what you looked like at your absolute worst. Perhaps it became a habit to do so when you re-entered the working world as a full fledged adult three years ago.
2:29pm. After having your lunch, even taking the time to do all the dishes before moving into your next taskâgetting ready. While you didnât feel the need to go overboard on your appearance, since it was just practice after all, you still had a solid hour and a half before Elixir was supposed to meet. Having plenty of time to kill allowed you to take your time to forego some self-care as well; maybe giving your locks a little extra tender love and care if you felt you needed it; plucking stray eyebrow hairs that had grown just a bit further outside of your desired shape. You checked the time on your phone again after you felt your look was complete, hair, makeup, and all. How the fuck had only an hour gone by? That was way more effort than you normally put in, or so you claim, yet time seemed to be mocking you.
3:36pm. If you could magically waste time picking out an outfit to wear to practice, you were doing so now. One part of you almost wanted to chuck on the leather pants you would potentially be sporting for tomorrow evening so as to give them a slight stretch and make them more comfortable while you performed. Another said to just keep it simple, and stick to leggings and a nice loose tee to keep you at ease. The last option that your mind entertained was wearing shorts and a tank because it always got so hot in Terushimaâs basement during practice. You even went so far as to try on multiple shirts and tops that were essentially the same, swapping out different preferred accessories to see if you liked the look, if only to make the minutes tick by. Hell, you even tried multiple pairs of shoes, lacing each foot individually before the clock had passed four in the afternoon. Eventually, you tied on your typical, everyday combat boots despite the wasted minutes trying to do a wardrobe check. Now that there was only an hour left for Elixir to begin arriving the at the drummerâs family home, you decide to give yourself ample time to stop by and grab coffee for everyone.
4:13pm. You send a text message out to your mates, waiting for them to reply with what you knew would be their typical orders. Well, as typical as it could be considering Terushima was always trying out crazy concoctions. One by one they responded and of course, your assumptions were correct when Teru sent in his drink that took up four rows of text. âWhat in the actual fuck?â You grumbled out, squinting at your phone while simultaneously trying to enter your car. Following your typical routine of turning on whatever guilty pleasure playlist you were feeling in that moment and lighting a cigarette, you glanced at your friends order one more time before ultimately deciding to place the order online. You didnât want to embarrass yourself ordering YĆ«jiâs stupid drink. After placing the order, you made your way to a Starbucks closest to the aforementioned boyâs family home.
The drive to Terushimaâs wasnât a particularly long, even with the coffee run. Traveling between two suburban towns typically only took about twenty minutes regardless of the direction you were coming from, though you hadnât taken into account the long line wrapping around the Starbucks Drive-thru. Not that it matteredâyou were still on time for practice. Even if it seemed all of your friends were already here. Cautiously exiting your car with the tray of drinks in one hand while you let yourself into the Terushima residence.
His parents greeted you warmly as you always did before you made your way down to the basement. âAyeeee, thereâs momma.â Makki greets, taking the tray from your hands and distributing everyoneâs respective drinks. Small talk place between band members, distracting you from the other three people in the basementâyour bandmatesâ girlfriends. When you did finally acknowledge their presence, you gave them a tight lipped smile, so as not to be rude, though they only gave a blank stare before bringing their attention back to the phones in their hands. You gave a roll of your eyes. It wasnât that you didnât like them, per se. It was more along the lines of you were the only female in the band and they automatically assumed that you were out to steal their mans. Not the case, especially considering you all formed the band before any of them were even in the picture, but go off.
Having already finished your beverage from earlier, you began plugging in the microphone into the amplifier and tuning the guitar you used for a small number of songs. Everyone else seemed to be ready to go except for you, who was strapping on the aforementioned guitar to prepare for the insanity of an opening that is Kurooâs masterpiece. Besitos, he called it. Spanish for little kisses, you often wondered where the romantic title had come from considering the narrative was less than pleasant, even foreshadowing murder in the final verse. When you asked him about the inspiration for the lyrics and the title, Kuroo did nothing but laugh, adding in, âIâll tell you when youâre older.â
The second song was a project curated by your drummer, Terushima. Brick by Boring Brick was a song that he claimed was inspired by his girlfriend, which was an endearing gesture if that were the truth. But from what you and the rest of Elixir had known of his girlfriend, she didnât come off as a person plagued with baggage. Not that you could base it solely off of appearance, but with her and YĆ«jiâs short lived relationship, it was a bit unbelievable that he had unlocked her tragic backstory in a matter of three months. Then again, what did you know? You didnât even remember her name.
The title of the third song, Growing Pains, always made you laugh at the irony considering that Makkiâs tall ass wrote the song. While a romantic, upbeat love song from Teru didnât strike you as a shock, it certainly did coming from the bassist. Emotions that danced in the âloveâ category didnât really sway him often. Maybe his girlfriend was just that special to him? You werenât sure, because once again, you knew none of their names. But you knew for a fact that the song seemed to call for something more stable, endearing growth together and support for each other, which had you questioning how long had you been apart from your friends.
After the third song, you were winded and uncomfortable and no amount of water you chugged was helping you with sweat and dehydration. âIâm gonna die tomorrow.â You joked after setting your water bottle down by your microphone stand.
âWeâre only a third of the way through the set, headass.â Terushima joked, pulling down his lower left eyelid and sticking his tongue out to you.
âFor real, itâs only been like twenty minutes since we started practice.â Kuroo chided.
âYeah, but can we smoke instead? I think there were a few things we should tune up before moving onto the next third of the set.â You looked to your guitarist with pleading eyes, holding a cigarette and lighter between your fingers. Makki, without saying anything else, pulled out a small bowl and packed it. He knew that any form of pleading made Kuroo a weak man, which inevitably meant a smoke break was up next rather than continuing on with work.
âFine.â Despite the mock defeat in his tone, Kuroo is already gliding up the stairs, taking two steps at a time with you in tow. More steps could be heard, but they were lighter than the boys you had come know so well, meaning the three stooges were most likely following suit, despite them not being smokers themselves.
You and Kuroo were currently seated on a stone barricade as you lit your cigarettes, the rest of the crew picking at sporadic seats along the wall. Teru and Makki were next to each other to share their bowl while their girlfriends sat on the outside of them, just to your right. Kurooâs girlfriend had taken up occupying the space between you and your guitarist and, maybe for a moment, you were wondering they were deliberately arranged this way.
The worst part of the girlfriends accompanying practice, in your eyes, was not their presence, but rather the fact that you felt like you couldnât even talk to your best friends, your bandmates at band practice, because they were too busy comforting them so that they âdidnât feel out of placeâ. Regardless, you respected your friends enough to not make the situation more difficult for themâif you needed to say something, you could say it in the basement where spectator talk was not welcome. Out of the corner of your eye while you were internally monologuing, you see the lanky arm of Makki offering you the bowl, a few cinders of his hot still lit. With poor timing, he grabbed your attention while you were exhaling the smoke in your lungs, unintentionally doing so onto his girlfriend. âShit, Iâm sorry.â She rolled her eyes, though you know you didnât do it on purpose. Whatever, she had her truths. You held up your hand that squeezed the filter of your cigarette between your index and ring finger. âIâll get it on the next turn,â making Makki shrug and pass the small glass bowl back to the drummer.
A couple more drags of your cigarette soothes your craving for nicotine and when the paper had finally burned all the way to the end of the filter, you tossed the butt into the dead fire pit that acted as the center for your gathering. Terushima stands up real quick to hand you the bowl that had been nearing its endâgiving you the last couple hits before it was cashed. When it came to marijuana, you didnât smoke very often, but today you were grateful for the offering. Maybe the high would take the edge off of your...anxiety? No, that wasnât it. Irritation seemed to be a better fit.
The seven of you shuffle back into the basement, rearranging yourselves, and knocking back a beer. âOkay, so before we move on, is there any song that you guys think we should work on before moving to the next third of the set?â You asked, your back towards your audience while you looked at your bandmates in earnest. They looked at each other, before locking eyes with you.
âIs there anything you want to work on? Youâre the one whoâs switching around with instruments and youâre the one who runs around on stage so weâll leave it up to you.â Kuroo says evenly. You pursed your lips in uncertainty, think back to how each song sounded.
âYa know what, letâs work on...........â
[ Besitos ] » Kurooâs Route

[ Growing Pains ] » Makkiâs Route.

I went to Korea for study abroad last year and I want to go back so bad. However, i didnât really do as much as I wanted or meet as many people. This is because Itâs kinda hard to do cool stuff alone there (or anywhere for that matter , while I can be alone I like to explore or do activities with others). It was also hard to meet people in class cuz they low key were cliquey. While I had blast, I would still like a do over if that makes sense. How about you? What was your experience like there?
I did a whole video about it.Â
But the short version is: I had a LOT of fun. I got to meet a lot of people. It was hard for me to really connect with people the first 3 or 4 weeks I was there (I was only there for 6 weeks so...yeah lol). Like I MET a lot of people and we would be cool but we wouldnât click like the type of people to hang out EVERYDAY or anything you know? So a lot of the time I would be alone as well. I had one friend who I would always go to the club with but weâd never see each other outside of that tbh. I miss her! We had so much fun! Anyway, after about week 3 or 4 I met my friends who I would actually hang out with after class even to just go to cafes or whatever. So that was REALLY cool. We went to SM Town and Teen Top Niel and Changjoâs cafe SOOO many times as well as other things! Also, lucky for me, one of my friends from back home ended up in Korea for vacation so we got to kick it as well (this was around week 2 or 3, I think). I did A LOT of stuff alone but thatâs just the type of person I am. After a while I was like âHow come I donât have a friend group like everybody else?!?! :(â but like I said, I eventually made a friend or 2 I could hang out with everyday.
Iâd never study abroad again unless it was some REALLY good deal in it for me. The class schedule during summer (when I went) can be pretty harsh and I was generally wishing I could just go do certain things that were going on while I was in class. Iâd rather just go for vacation.
My main two goals were to get better at Korean and to learn more about the KHH scene. I got to do both so I feel like I was really accomplished. Iâd like to go back as well. Iâm due to be done with undergrad in Winter 2021, so that means I should have all of Spring and Summer to do...basically whatever. So I plan to work or do internships and if Iâm able (and this covid shit has died down enough. I live in LA county which has a lot of cases so although many areas have cleared up, we havenât) to Iâd like to go to Korea. Korea has a lot of stuff going on in the Spring. HipHopPlaya festival is one thing Iâve had my eye on for a few years now!
Hopefully, I find some RELIABLE and non-crazy people to go with cause I definitely donât really wanna be alone for things like clubs. But also because they can take me to do some things that I donât know about but they do. Also, things like hotels/accomodations. Since I stayed in a dorm last time Iâm not really sure about that other stuff and whereâs an ok place to stay and where DEFINITELY is NOT! lol
Anyway, thatâs kinda a short run down so I hope my point got across. If you have any specific questions to ask then feel free to ask!

impressions [b.b]
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader, Clint Barton x Reader (Family)
Summary: youâre a new recruit, and Bucky has been keeping on eye on you on why you were hand-selected by Stark. One day he finds out why.
Word Count: 3083
Authorâs note: imagine hawkeye being your uncle. the bants would be amazing. anyways, Iâm trying to keep writing as much as i can, so if yâalls have any requests, it might come to life! :)
Warnings: itâs a long fic?? Maybe a swear ? some old man humor?
âWell, here we are!â
The car came to a complete stop right in front of the Avengers compound. It was huge, pristine. Almost scary-looking if it werenât for the sight of two agents in the middle of the front lawn doing yoga.
âYâknow uncle,â you started, âIâm having second thoughts.â
âOh, nonsense, Y/Nâ your uncle Clint chuckled. âEveryone is very excited to meet you, especially Wonder Boy.â
You rolled your eyes at the last part. You always wondered what it was like to work with that man. And now it was coming to a reality. You couldnât thank your uncle enough for taking you under his wing. From a young age, he saw that you were very much interested in whatever âuncle Clint was up to.â It also helped that you had a sharp eye for accuracy.
Therefore, it only seemed fitting that while in school, your uncle would train you 3 times a week after school was done. Before you knew it, you became one of the best markswomen in the family. Next to your Uncle, of course.
The door opens to reveal a very giddy Tony Stark, embracing your uncle in a huge hug and some remarks about the family, the weather, the Knicks, Â standard dad stuff.
âAnd Iâm assuming this is Y/N,â Tony said as he turned to you: he stuck out his hand, âAn absolute pleasure to meet you.â
âIf anything, Iâm the one thatâs starstruck,â you gushed, âIâm a huge fan of your technology and work in general. Itâs pretty cool.â
âYou see, Legolas!â Tony cheered, âIâm still hip and coool.â
âMan, donât make me regret my compliment, Stark,â you groaned, âyou sound just like my Uncle on trivia night.â
âHey, hey, heyâ Uncle Clint argued, âIâll have you know Iâm an absolute boss when it comes to pop culture references. The me-mes, if you will.â
âIâm gonna internally combust,â you sighed, earning chuckles from both Stark and your uncle.
âWalk with me, Y/N,â Stark started as the three of you made your way inside the compound, âso tell me a bit about the young markswoman.â
âWell, whatever my uncle told you, itâs pretty much the same. Iâm 25, just graduated with my masters, and I happen to have very good aim. Grew up in Queens with my mom and younger brother,â you shared.
âLook at you! A whole degree!â Tony congratulated, âItâs a good thing Barton didnât immediately put you into SHIELD as I first intended.â
âBelieve me, it was a tug and pull,â you said.
And you were right. Your skills kept getting better in high school, and you remembered how badly Tony Stark wanted to recruit you. You were to be the next protege, and quite frankly you didnât want any of that.
You remember clearly when Stark came to visit you during your senior year of high school and you flat out told him: âListen, Iâm a teenager. Iâm very self-centered right now. Iâm only 17, and the biggest issue in my life right now is whether or not I can afford to apply to my dream school. Iâm tryna go to college. And maybe have a boyfriend, who knows. Point is: Iâm not ready to be recruited.â
That explanation definitely shook your entire family, and Stark knew that you were S.H.I.E.L.D material, but understood your different passions. It was a very mature thing for you to say, and he was impressed. You vaguely remember telling him âI wonât let these skills go to waste. Iâll give you a call when Iâm ready.â
And ready you are now. Granted, you would rather work on your non-profit to train kids to become S.H.I.E.L.D recruits, but you knew Stark would be more than happy to give you advice on how to successfully pull it off.
âWell, Iâm overjoyed you joined our team,â Tony thanked profusely, âYour talent is amazing.â
âAnything my Uncle do, I can do ten times better,â you added.
âI wonât complain about that,â Clint said as he ruffled your hair.
âAre you ready to meet the rest of the team, Y/N?â Tony asked as you walked towards the door of the common area.
âI think so?â you hesitated, âHey, uh, Stark? Is it okay that you donât let the team know that Iâm like, part assassin, part scary graduate.â
âKeepinâ it humble, I respect that,â Tony chuckled.
âThanks, Tony,â you smiled, a small plan brewing inside you. Your uncle already knew of it, and when you guys made eye contact, he gave you a thumbs up.
âSo how do you want to be introduced: intern? Assistant? Your Uncleâs dietitian, which by the way, he needs one.â Tony proposed.
âIâm gonna pretend I didnât hear that,â your uncle scoffed.
âHow about, shy intern training to become full time at the compound?â you offered as the three of you faced the door.
âPerfection,â Tony simply said, âNow, itâs showtime!â
Tony does his signature grand entrance and simply extends his arm out, earning one single applause from your uncle. It was very fitting.
âEveryone,â Tony Stark started, âIâm sure youâre all familiar with Old Man Hawkeye. Well now, I present to you his niece!â
You slowly emerged from behind your uncle and shyly waved to the team, âHey guys, my name is Y/N, and I just started my internship here.â
âY/N is an absolute smarty pants I tell you,â Tony began once again, âshe has a Masterâs degree!â
Claps and cheers erupted with the team. Steve was the first to speak, âWell, Iâm personally very proud of your accomplishments, hopefully, after your time here, youâll consider staying here for the long run.â
You just smiled, you couldnât believe that the Star-Spangled Man with a Plan was proud of you.
One by one, the Avengers went up to you greeted you individually. You were most excited to grow your friendship with Wanda and Nat, seeing was you three were clearly outnumbered.
âWe gotta stick together the three of us,â Natasha commented, âIt ainât safe here.â
âIt just reeks of testosterone,â Wanda added, âyouâve become mine and Natâs blessing.:
Thor was super happy to meet you as well, as he now has a new opponent to challenge in drinking, to which you responded with âyouâd be surprised at how much I can take, Mr. Lord of Thunder.â
Both Sam and Rhodey were very appreciative of you, and couldnât wait to discuss anything and everything. Sam more about if youâre the prankster type, and Rhodey more on the topics of bad scary movies (this weekâs choice: Jaws.)
Banner was super excited that thereâs another person with a passion for the sciences and social work, and you knew youâd hang out in the labs a lot. Vision was just grateful that there was another person to add more inside jokes.
And then there was Bucky. Naturally, he was the last one to greet, but that didnât stop you from sweating your balls out. You admired him greatly.
All he did was give you a handshake, flashed an adorable smile, and simply said: âWelcome to the team, Y/N, the nameâs Bucky.â
You croaked a small thanks, and shuffle next to your uncle, trying to hide your face, ears turning pink from embarrassment. You couldnât deny that Bucky was an attractive fellow. It would be like denying that the Sun is bright.
âItâs those eyes, Iâm telling you,â your uncle said to no one in particular, âStark, I really donât know how you do it.â
âThatâs what you got from a handshake between him and your niece?â Stark asked.
âLike I said, Iâm cool and hip.â
You and Bucky just glanced and quickly smiled at each other before staring at the ground.
You could sense Bucky was gonna warm up to you soon.

6 Months Later
Your âinternshipâ was better than anything youâve ever asked for. Sure, no one knows that you can take someone down thatâs double your size with a measly flip, but you showed your strength and ingenuity elsewhere.
You got to sit down during briefings, work alongside Stark to innovate tech, and even got to observe Hill and Fury as directors. All this information was more than youâd ever accumulate during your all-nighters in college.
You still trained with your uncle, but this was where it got tricky (but not like the Run-D.M.C. song, though). Certain supersoldiers were night owls, and others liked to wake up at the ass crack of dawn for their dumb run. This is definitely not college.
So what you and your uncle would do is go to the gym that was at the very other end at the compound immediately after breakfast. People knew there were offices in that general vicinity, so no one questions it.
You remember Bucky once asked what youâd do on âthe other sideâ and you would just reply, âlame intern stuff, filing, and organizing.â
He has bought it, but it just gets harder to hide this not so obvious secret. He knows you sometimes hit the gym because he knows youâll âpractically meltâ if you were to step foot in one.
And he knows weird tidbits like your favorite spot to people watch, your favorite campus cafe, and what cat you would like to have as a pet (a black one, because they remind of a time when you wanted to be a witch).
Sometimes youâd be a night owl with Bucky and join him in the common area and you guys would just talk. And soon after, you guys became really close. Nothing was hidden from each other, and it was nice to confide in someone.
You were still shy around everyone else (minus the gals), and people knew you wouldnât hurt a fly. Bucky would specifically notice all the details that he enjoys about you. Youâd do the same, only you tried to conceal any indication that you liked Bucky.
Your uncle would notice it too. âYou know, one of these days heâs gonna catch you slipping. Iâve heard him ask for you around the same time you come train with me,â He mumbled, sipping some tea out of his mug. Mornings like these were the best: tea time with your uncle.
âIs this in relation to our feelings for each other or the fact that I can probably beat up Bucky?â
âHmm, either work. So you do like him, eh??â Clint chuckled.
âGreat,â you huffed, âanother person knows.â
âIâm telling you, itâs his eyes,â Clint commented, âno one has eyes as beautiful as his.â
â... Donât you have blue eyes??â
âYes. But the point is, you gotta reveal your skills now,â your uncle added.
âWhat if he thinks Iâm weird?â you whined. Your uncle just stared at you and continued drinking his tea.
âDonât knock it âtil you try it,â Clint consoled. Both of you heard some footsteps coming from the hallway, and saw a freshly showered Bucky emerge.
âSpeaking of the Dreamboat,â Clint said, âBucky!â
âGood morning to you too, Clint,â Bucky smiled, âyouâre in good spirits today.â
âThatâs because Y/N has to tell you something life-changing,â Clint gasped, winking at you to see if you got the idea. He quickly scurried towards the gym and left it at that.
âGoddamnit uncle,â you mumbled, a laugh escaping from Bucky. Your cheeks flushed red as you lowkey checked him out.
âSo, whatâs this âlife-changingâ statement of yours, sugar,â Bucky inquired, his nickname for you throwing you off.
âI, uh, um,â you stuttered, âwell, I was thinking about, um, maybe training under someone. And, uh, I know weâve, um gotten closer.â Bucky nodded in agreement.
âSo canyoupleasetrainmeorsomething,â you quickly got out, your breath nearly turning into a heave.
Bucky looked at you with genuine happiness, âIâd love to, y/n. When did you want to start?â
You saw the clock: 9:35 AM.
Usually, youâd start at 10, so for him to see your stunts, heâd have to come slightly later.
âHowâs 10:30 sound? I took into account the time it takes for me to get ready and my complaining.â
âSounds like a plan,â Bucky stated, winking when he said, âIâll see you soon.â
You blushed once again and waved goodbye to him. Quickly you sent a text to Tony and Clint saying to gather towards the gym and to bring anyone that was free.
Bless Buckyâs heart. He didnât know what was in store for him.
ăă
9:50 am
The gym was quiet, as usual, with the exception of another agent running on the elliptical. You had changed quickly and briskly walked towards your uncle.
âNo oneâs here yet,â Clint observed, âDo they even know we have another gym?â
âDonât worry I told Bucky to come at 10:30, and everyone else at 10:15, so we can warm up and give a real show,â you beamed.
âWell, itâs almost time, letâs just work out like a normal day,â Clint said.
âAye aye, Hawkeye,â you saluted, mentally congratulating yourself that you came up with that on the spot.
ăă
10:25 am
Sweat had been going down your spine, and you werenât tuckered out yet.
One by one the team came walking in to observe what was going on, and so far, they were really impressed.
The first half-hour was you and Clint basically doing a mix of sparring, some agility tests, and a bit of archery. You didnât want to show off just yet, but youâd throw a couple of tricks here and there.
Tony commented something about the âManchurian Candidate walking towards the gym,â so everyone scrambled to make themselves look occupied, while also observing the scene was about to unfold.
You then looked to Clint and simply said, âKnives?â
âKnives,â your uncle responded.
And with the same agility you had before, you walked towards the indoor range to the side and picked your favorite knife. You quickly saw the clock read 10:28 so you decided to just go with the flow.
As if on cue, Bucky walked in greeting Steve, and then set his eyes on you. You hadnât heard him walking into the room, and you just went ham on the knives.
Each target that would light up, youâd throw your knife and hit it in the dead center. The sound of the knives hitting the target would be unsettling to some, but it was just background noise to you now.
You then grabbed a bow and arrow and decided to hit the furthest target that you could see, which was a good 20 feet away. And just like with the knives, youâd hit the bullseye.
Your uncle decided to spar once more, but this time you were put up against an agent, John. John would train with you sometimes, and he offered to take part in the show today.
You started throwing punches, and John did not hesitate to strike back. It went like that for about 5 more minutes until you saw John struggling a bit. You did your classic flip maneuver and took him down. You and John started laughing, and your uncle came over to give you a high five.
You turn towards your audience and received some hoots and hollers. All but from one person.
To say Bucky looked mortified was an understatement. Here was a soft and reserved girl who wouldnât hurt a single soul, throwing knives at targets and taking down a big guy.
Everyone had left the gym, and Bucky kept his mouth agape.
âBucky, sweetie, youâre gonna catch flies,â you commented as you reached for his cheek and closed his mouth, âyou seem, distant. Is everything okay?â
Bucky blinked, then spoke: âDid you learn that in a day??â
You laughed, âMore like in 18 years, Buck.â
âYears?!â Bucky almost screamed.
âYeah, my uncle has been training me since I was a kid. I like this stuff, itâs really fun and exhilarating,â you said nonchalantly, âTony made me a SHIELD agent about six months ago.â
Bucky just had an incredulous look on his face. He really didnât know what to think.
âIt just⊠looked so cool.â Bucky whispered, âwhy didnât you tell me earlier??â
It was your turn to not say anything, âI thought you were gonna think Iâm weird, or like an overachiever like Steve.â
âDoll, do you know who I am?â Bucky asked as he stepped closer towards you, âI wouldnât judge you for anything, and you know that.â
He pulled you into a hug, his chin resting on top of your head, âand, quite frankly you looked really hot while doing it.â
âEven when I put John in a chokehold?â
âThat was the best part.â
Bucky let go of you slightly and simply looked at you with that longing feeling in those rom-com movies. You know which ones.
You decided to take it upon yourself and close the gap once more and kissed Bucky on the lips. He was a bit startled at first but soon caught on. Hands on your waist, he pulled you as close as humanly possible, and your hands immediately wrapped around his neck.
The two of you pulled away, breathing heavily. You sighed in content and simply said, âEveryone was right, your eyes really are dreamy.â
âWhy not look at them all night when we go on a date later today?â Bucky said with confidence in his voice.
You smiled once more and quickly kissed Bucky on the cheek, âIâd love that, Buck.â
The sound of the door slamming open pulled the two of you out of a trance.
âStark! You owe me twenty!â your uncle hollered as he motioned for the two of you to leave the gym.
You groaned. âIâm gonna internally combust, Uncle Clint.â
âNot before you stare at Buckyâs eyes again. Now get out of here, lovebirds. Iâm trying to work out,â Clint grumbled.
Bucky grabbed a hold of your hand, walking with so much glee.
You looked outside the window and saw agents doing yoga.
âHey, Buck?â
âYes, y/n?â
âLetâs go do some yoga,â you offered. It was the first thing you saw when you got here, and now you get to share that activity with someone you cared about. Bucky nodded in agreement and you guys walked outside, holding hands, basking in the sunlight and the birds chirping.

Hope you enjoyed! :)
