Day 4 (May 11th) ~ Greek mythology / Goddesses (nyo!engport)

Among Creation, there were us

A little explanation about this one! because it took me a lot of research XD.

They are Britannia and Lusitania, goddesses of the land.

I looked for a greek femenine pose which simbolized union above all. For England, I took the real avatar of the country, Britannia, which has a resemblance to Athena. I changed some things and colors, and added celtic simbols and Pict tattoos, to relate her with her ancestors.

For Portugal, I mixed more things: the Seas relationship she has since forever and because her mother, that's why the aquamarine colors. Her crown is made of fish tails and metal anchor; color are silverish related to the moon element. Then, I included my HC that one of her shapes is a marine dragon; that's why she is a mermaid (and we're en May so I've got that prompt too )?. Lavender dress for the national flower, and finally she has grapes as jewelry for her relationship with Dionisus, taken from the myth idea that Lusus, the ancient god - and founder of Portugal's land before Rome, was a son/lover of his (and the sexier part too).

• No one has come up with an easier tag than "selfcest." "1p × 2p" or "1p × nyo" are a bit unwieldy but still seems to be the best options since "self ship" overlaps with self insert ocs. This still doesn't cover shipping between other aus.

• The character most likely to be shipped with himself is England. But this includes England × Captain Kirkland, Britannia Angel × Sweet Devil, and so many ask blog muses with each other.

• without the original creator's tags (due to deleted blogs) it is difficult to pick out when it is actually 1p × 2p. Is that 2p Russia or someone's emo Russia ask blog muse? Hard to say.

My husband and I have been discussing lately about short term and long term goal (mannnn .. we sound so grown up)

Never really though that we'd come to this. Siguro nga time na to grow up. Since we got married, we were really so happy to be together, as a family. We've been talking about travelling and doing a lot of things together with the kids, kasi hindi naman talaga namin nagagawa lahat ng yan before, madaming restrictions like yung situation namin, budget and all that. Pero ngayon, iba e, kasi may opportunity na dumating ... and we never really thought of it, bigla na lang dumating. We're lucky cause we have my dad who's like a financial mentor and a life coach for the both of us. We told him about the opportunity and was really excited about it and he gave us the blessing to pursue it. Kasi tama nga naman sya, opportunities like this doesn't come to everyone. Natutunan ko nga sa mga documentaries na pinapanood namin na kahit anong sipag mo (at least dito sa Pinas) hindi mo yan ikakayaman unless merong mga oportunidad na darating sayo.

But man .. we do sound so grown up. We still have tons of fun when we're together, pero unlike ngayon na hindi na wreckless ... may direction na! Like when we were together before kapag nasa sasakyan .. music was always blasting, nagvvlog, tapos puro kalokohan, singing our hearts out, and going on a roadtrip na parang walang katapusan. Pero ngayon, yung discussion namin pulitika, our future, hindi na kami nagkakaraoke sa sasakyan ... may ghaadd we watch a lot of documentaries like I-Witness and documentaries about the history, hindi na lang babad sa music lagi. Conscious na kami sa budget, conscious na kami sa mga binibili namin and all that.

Sabi ko, maganda siguro mag set tayo ng mga "Couple Goals" Hindi lang yung tulad ng mga couple goals na pinopost sa facebook or sa socmed para magpayabang, yung actual GOALS!

Tomorrow is our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Last year, we wanted to spend our anniversary alone kasi hindi naman kami nakapag honeymoon after ng wedding kasi lockdown na agad after ng wedding namin, so we decided to do it after a year. Ang hirap kasi yung family car namin (my family) nasira ... so we had to rent a car to go to our destination. Pero ang galing talaga ni Lord, kasi overflowing yung blessing niya sa amin. Nakita niya yung need namin and now, we actually do own a car. Yun ang second na pagaari namin after namin makasal. First is yung motor, 2nd yung kotse. So napaisip kami, pagdat ing nga nitong opportunity na 'to (sorry I can't go into much details kasi ayoko ma jinx! hahahahaha) parang bigla kaming nabuhayan na gumawa ng long term goals. Nagset kami ng mga gusto namin ma-achieve within the timeline. Like this particular opportunity, sabi namin aayusin namin to and ang timeline namin is 3-5 years. No rush, considering kailangan pa namin paghandaan. Pag na-achieve na namin yan, we set another 5 years para dun sa 2nd goal namin which includes saving, investing .. ganyan ... tapos yung following years is maintaining and palaguin pa yung mga na-save and yung mga investments namin.

So na-excite kaming dalawa because we actually have something to look forward to the following years. Exciting kasi kung alam nyo yung storya namin ... hindi ganun kadali yung naging journey namin para maging kasal kami. Kaya we are actually setting up a timeline to prepare for these things, kasi nakita namin yung importance ng pagiging handa. Iniisip namin if we rushed into things, hindi kami magiging financially, mentally and yung pinaka malaking factor sa akin yung pagiging emotionally prepared. It took us 9 years to actually get married and settle down .. we enjoyed every roller coaste ride of it all. Naintindihan namin yung kahalagahan ng journey. Excited kami hindi lang sa destination pero pati dun sa journey.

Sana pagpalain ni Lord yung mga goals na sinet namin. Sana ma-meet lahat ng pangangailangan namin. Hindi naman namin kaya lahat ng 'to kung wala si Lord, pero syempre kailangan din namin gawin yung part namin. Napatunayan na namin na lahat posible, pero hindi dahil isa lang yung gumagawa pero dahil in partnership; as husband and wife and as a family and also yung partnership namin and obedience kay Lord. Kahit na ... kadalasan matigas yung ulo namin dalawa ... (sorry, Lord) pero grabe lang talaga yung blessing Niya sa aming dalawa.

So here's a pre-wedding anniversary blog.

Disclaimer lang ... baka akala ng mga nagbabasa (kung meron man) perfect yung buhay namin mag-asawa. NO! Walang perpekto. Sa totoo lang hanggang ngayon nasa adjustment period pa din kami. Walang madali sa buhay mag-asawa .. at kung meron mang nagsasabi na madali ... wag kayong maniniwala kasi napakahirap. What makes it worthwhile lang e yung alam namin na kami talaga yung para sa isa't-isa. I could never imagine myself being with another person instead of him, and I know, for a fact that he feels the same way. Sa two years ng marriage life namin, dumadating kami sa point na bwiset na bwiset kami sa isa't-isa, but we can't actually live without the other. Sabi nga ng daddy ko minsan, masyado daw kaming co-dependent. Kasi nakikita niya, kung nasan ako laging sasama 'tong asawa ko. Kahit saan din siya pumunta lagi din akong kabuntot. E what can I do, we do like spending time with each other, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm just glad na meron kaming gustong ma-achieve as a couple, as a family. Yan ang magiging drive namin sa future, while enjoying what we have now.

Praying that God gives us wisdom and knowledge and more love, patience and understanding, and of course, I pray that He will continue to give us a heart that is forgiving. Kasi sabi nga diba, marriage is a union of two forgivers. Totoo yan .. everyday, you have to practive forgiveness. Hindi madali, pero salamat kay Lord ... lahat ng 'to .. worth it!

Today I got to talk to different peeps pagdating ko opis including my counselor. May radar yata tong taong to 😂. Nakaramdam ka ghorl?! Haha

I just realized through my usaps and pagpags na we all live each day trying. Tapos alam nyo yun, ang galing kasi the people I spoke with still show up with a big smile on their faces. Kala mo all well and good but when you ask them "kamusta ka?", then you get to know what's inside. Oh the power of that question! 💛

I guess we really all have our own silent battles and we're all being brave in our own simple ways, every day. Sabi sakin ng counselor ko "Clah, I'm proud of you!". Jusko para akong niyakap ni Lord ng malala. Hahaha! *happy kilig tears*

And so allow me to share this simple write-up with you:

To you who keeps on trying

To you who shows up and stands tall no matter what

To you who still believes in the good and continues to be one, "Nakaka-proud ka!"

Flipped

Jane has always had amazing artistic talent. But one week Jane had discovered how bad creative blocks can be. She couldn't draw ANYTHING! Every time she tried it just didn't work out. So kind of out of the blue, Jane decided to start making flip books. But not ordinary flip books. She decided to make flip books of events that actually happened.

She named them 'Flips'. Most times she would make her flip books about the cases that her and the team enjoyed. And ahead would never tell him but those were always the one's where Rich was in the field with them, or cracking jokes over comms.

Jane's Flips we're always incredible detailed. When you flipped through it it was more like watching a movie then looking through a sketchbook. It was absolutely incredible. Jane never told any of the team (including Kurt) about her Flips.

Eventually, Kurt had found her sketchbook while cooking. Jane was still at the NYO finishing paperwork, so Kurt had planned to come home and cook something for her and then head right back to the NYO. He was soon distracted by the sight of Jane's sketchbook on the coffee table. Since his dish was far from done he went, picked up the sketchbook and started studying the inside.

Jane often let him look in her sketchbook so he didn't think that it was private. But Kurt didn't know about the Flips. At first he really confused. He hadn't really heard much about flip books so it took him about fifteen minutes to figure it out. But once he did he couldn't have stop himself from flipping even if he had wanted to. He was fascinated by the detail. He actually laughed when he came across Rich calling Patterson Patty and her immediately smacking him upside the head.

Pretty soon, and definitely faster than he intended, he got to the last Flip.

Instead of funny moments and cases with the team this Flip was about the day Mayfair died.

Jane had told him about that day but not into too much detail. He watched-uh flipped in horror and sadness. He watched it like a movie. He watched Jane's emotion change from shocked to panic to anger to anguish. He watched as she started to put the pieces together in her mind, when Weitz was presenting the evidence of MayFair's conviction.

She even included flashbacks of the pen, the GPS chip, and the flash drive. He watched her walk to the abandoned parking garage to meet Oscar. He watched her rage as she said "Oscar it's over! " He also saw Jane's face turn to panic as she saw Mayfair come out of the shadows. Kurt actually gasped when he saw her, he looked about as shocked as Jane was. He saw Mayfair raise her gun at Jane. Then he saw Oscar shoot her. When he got to the picture of Mayfair being shot he temporarily stopped flipping. The detail of her face was incredible. It looked like she was staring right past him.

Obviously Jane has a photographic memory but this is more than that. She even remembered Oscar's look of malice along with some shock as he killed her. As he started to flip again he had started crying. He watched as Mayfair fell to the floor and Jane trying to put pressure on the wound. He watched as Mayfair still tried to "Protect her team". He continued to watch as Jane told Oscar to leave, he watched as Jane sobbed when Mayfair spoke her final words and finally died. Jane was broken, with MayFair's blood on her fingers. He saw how Jane stayed with her for a while after she died, just sitting next to her. Grieveing.

The Flip had ended with Jane staring at Mayfair on the ground. Kurt had finished the flip but couldn't bring himself to move. He stared at the page for another minute. Then got up took his dish out of the oven, put in a plastic bag for Jane and walked out the door. Once he arrived at the NYO he almost ran to the elevators. He got off and started walking towards Jane's desk. When he walked over to her she immediately noticed that he looked like he had been crying. She also so how thoughtful he was to have brought her food.

She got up to hug him as soon as he was within arms reach. He set the food down behind her, on her desk, and hugged her forcefully. He was still in the mindset of the Flip. He couldn't get it out of his head, it was like it just kept replaying in his mind. Jane's voice broke him of a trance that he didn't even realize that he had been in. "Why do you have that? " Jane said. Kurt (puzzled) looked around to see what she could be talking about when it donned on him that he still had her sketchbook in his hands. He started to wonder how in the world he could have drove with both hands if that never left his hands but that would have to wait. "It was on our coffee table so I picked it up" Kurt said but one look at Jane and he knew that that explanation wasn't doing him any favors.

"I was cooking" He said and points to the bag of food on her desk. "And I saw it on the coffee table out of the corner of my eye so I got curious and started reading it, and I know that I should have asked you but you didn't mind me looking through it before so I just thought that it would be okay" Jane nods with understanding so Kurt continues. "It's amazing! I have never seen anything like it. I looked through all of it. I personally love the "Jane's Flips" " He says and winks at Jane, and Jane starts to laugh.

Jane then asks "Did you look through all of it? ". Kurt says yes and starts to tear up again. She now realizes why he had looked/been so shaken when he first walked in. She taps her desk for him to sit down, so now they are both sitting on her desk in an empty SIOC. She turns towards him, as does he. Jane sighs. "Kurt there was no way for me to ever get the picture across of what happened to Mayfair with just words. What I told you may have seemed like I withheld information from you now that you saw my Flip but I swear to you that I told you as much as I possibly could. " Kurt looks at her then realizes that she's...... Apologizing?? "Jane, do you think that I'm mad at you? " Kurt asks. Jane nods so Kurt takes her hand. "Jane your master piece gave so much of an insight into that night that even if you could tell me I wouldn't have been able to fathom it. You. Are. Amazing. And I love you. " Jane stares at him incredulously at first but then she stares at him in awe of how amazing HE is. "Thank you Kurt. I love you so so so much."

A night to forget.
