I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, a recently got into kdramas, started watching in May, and I want to make a list to keep track.

I also want to kind of rate them, at least for my taste.

So far I’d say my top 5 are:

•Hometown Cha Cha Cha (I’ve already rewatched)

•Touch Your Heart (I’ve already rewatched)

•Her Private Life (next on my list to rewatch)

•Business Proposal (I’ve already rewatched)

•Healer (finished yesterday, in 2 days)

I’ve also watched:

•What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim

•True to Love (LOVED this one)

•Forecasting Love and Weather (it was good, not my favorite)

•Vincenzo (watched with my husband)

•When the Weather is Nice (really liked this one)

•Squid Game (watched with my husband)

•Alice in Boderland (watch with my husband)

•All of Us are Dead (watched with my husband)

I’ve also been really bad at starting and not finishing some of these lately. Still have every intention to finish these 🙈

•Our Beloved Summer (episode 15, liked this one but it was just really slow)

•Uncanny Counter (episode 2, was supposed to watch with my husband but it’s hard to get him to read subtitles)

•Alchemy of Souls (episode 2, started with my husband but he couldn’t get into it so I might continue alone)

I’ve also spent a bunch of time here on tumbler looking up recommendations before starting dramas.

I get so frustrated by "yeah make vampires scary again" stuff every time a vampire movie has a "monster" vampire (Nosferatu, Voyage of the Demeter, etc). It reeks of an attitude that thinks all horror is about something being ugly and horrifying on the outside. If you can't see the horror in Interview With the Vampire, or a Jean Rollin film, or The Hunger, or Carmilla, or the vampire sections of Baldur's Gate because they are attractive that is absolutely an issue on your end. There is such a rich well of themes to dig into with horror and vampires, especially where sex and romance are concerned, but people are so desperate to separate romance and horror. The despair of being frozen as a child even while your mind matures, the loneliness of an eternity alone, the terror of eternal hunger that can't be sated, the awful seduction by something beautiful but monstrous. Trying to turn vampires into just any other monster doesn't make them more horrifying, its just a more kind of overt horror that can only be done so many times and is often covered better by other monsters.
