- i’m sorry i don’t know a ‘deathly hallows’ i only know the relics

- ohhh fuck i forgot about this!!! oh rwby’s totally gonna end with the gods judging humanity when the relics are brought together. maybe not end end but it’s definitely gonna be close to the end and it’ll be a Big Thing where they strategize about how to convince the gods that humanity is good

- obviously the first maidens weren’t their kids but boy is there a theme going on here. and maybe even something plot relevant cause their kids could do magic

- all the main characters being able to witness this and us seeing their reactions is such a good touch like god, the impact of this reality is so much heavier because we get to see the characters actually affected by it react to watching it unfold before them

we open w/killua having a trauma dream abt illumi, rehashing the stuff we saw in the hunter exam arc....we see this a few more times in the movie, and it really drives home how killua is still rlly scared of illumi and kinda just goes into a dissociative trauma state whenever illumi is around (even fake doll illumi or dream illumi, in this movie). poor kid :( :( 

regrettably tho ruth and i agree that illumis outfit in this movie was pretty sexy 

ok that whole beginning part where kurapikas eyes get stolen happens SO fast hvbfhdjshfsk its like ok guess thats the status quo for this movie!

general thots:

so this was very much an Anime Movie, in that they cant like, advance to plot or develop the characters much, bc its a movie. and this one is non canon

it was enjoyable but i do feel like it was much more typical shounen then hxh usually is...like, i feel like this was made by the same people who make like, the naruto movies or w/e, and w/the same sort of approach/attitude 

this isnt necessarily bad - i LIKE shounen for a reason - but it was a bit noticeable bc it wasnt quite as smart as hxh is usually, and it rehashed a lot of stuff weve already seen in this show itself 

but still i think it did a good job w/what it had, and it had some good angst, and everyone was very gay which is good

the art style was SLIGHTLY wack but it wasnt as bad as i thought itd be 

overall a fun time like most anime movies. didnt reinvent the wheel but i had a good time. im excited for the greed island arc, and im also disproportionately excited to watch the hxh musical bc that is a thing that exists and i MUST see it asap bc that sounds like the kind of hilarious wackiness that appeals to me specifically

Yeah, when I was looking at other stuff and when Skybound thing came, I was surprised how you and others quickly thought of comic-R/M when thinking of Caryl in s9. (And ABC/ABD haters thought of it too. aww they care too) Because, awhile ago, I thought of it but in the hard long way. LOL I was thinking of when will Carol have love and since she’s most similar to comic-M? And I was hoping Carol will be viewed as a love interest. not old lady cant have no love.also why daryl have no love interest  I was like sigh that means we have to wait even longer. Comic-M isn’t with anyone right now (probably with Mercer someday meh), but I ship her with comic-R. And then I was like WTF what if when comic-M gets with comic-R is around the same time when Caryl happens. It’s also like more of a chance of not happening/risky..? Because both of my ships, Caryl and comic-R/M are not canon right now. But it would be so cooooool if it happens. Both ships to happen. :P Either way, I hope both of them continue their nice bonded relationship. Ofc I want them to be endgame too.

 I didn’t really think about this much because it’s kinda new thinking of Caryl being like comic-R/M. But I guess what Skybound hinted, kinda confirms it with Caryl being like comic-R/M? Like addressing what they are..”best friends” It does makes sense for Caryl and comic-R/M to be similar and adapted like them at the moment. Both are best friends and have a deep bond and long history. (Comic-R/M are like main characters btw, so a lot of material there. idk what im saying. so..a lot of depth with them.) Then I wonder what tv-R/M will do? I kinda think Caryl won’t always be like comic-R/M that much, or both tv-R/M and Caryl flip flops with comic R/M and comic R/Andrea.

But, I don’t really take it seriously with Skybound and other sites like comicbook.com. Idk I think they’re just hearing speculations & spoilers and speculating what they think and being edgy for clicks. Idk I don’t trust them exactly. Skybound could be true but like how do they know these things? Sometimes I think they’re just only speculating based on comics and know a few episodes ahead of time. So idk how they know so far ahead. idk. (They’re very pro-C/E right now. Idk if it is because the show is going that way or they’re thinking from the comics that C/E will happen. Idk if they ship C/E because, I’m guessing they’re gonna say E will die. why hope for that? So, maybe they’re just comic fans…)

 Anyways yeah the question and their answer, I’m like ok…it’s still iffy to know what’s up and very 50/50 again for me on TWD. Like will I like s9/Caryl/the writing? (hiatus is crazy)  But I like that if it’s true, that will get a confirmation of what Caryl is and that they will address it and talk about it. Because just knowing what they are is nice and I think it helps for fans to move on or something. Just to know what they are. We already know they’re like soulmatey BFFs.

 And even if it’s not positive. :P Like they’re just friendzzzz. C/E will happen durrr. I still think E will die in s9 and that idk that problem(?) is just short term. Whatever. As long as we get some Caryl moments. Anything. Maybe Daryl will get jealous. Love triangle? I would love the angst. heh. 

 Point is, the show is not over, Caryl’s not dead yet, and I still ship Caryl because I love them and they give me shippy feels. (I find it interesting that they edited their answer to explain it more. It shows the Carylers are big and loud heh. Also, we care.)  

 About E. 

There’s this rant I noticed from haters, on how why Carylers are hoping E to die so much and think it’s so Caryl can happen..and saying that’s cheap writing/shipping. I didn’t think of it that way at first, imo. I kept thinking about Carol/comic-M arcs and comics, how um …E was like one of the guys that helps her growth(like comic M) and she helps him, and he dies from the comics. His death was like one of the impactful.. memorable deaths too…so I think it’s good for his story. I guess. Also from the comics, Kingdom wasn’t used much in the story later on. So I think Carol being in Kingdom rn is like so writers can mention Kingdom and focus on E a bit in s9 when the big death scenes happen.  I try thinking of if E still lives on, idk what is next for him tbh. shrugs.  I guess E will die in season finale but I kept thinking it’s in mid season finale. um I hope Whisperer arc goes quicker in the comics but the show is also slooooow. Idk..comic fans/spoiled fans watching out for: fair, Magna/Yumiko, Alpha…then we will might know when the big deaths scene happens. I guess I’m trying say maybe C/E thing will only last a half a season or a season, if they’re canon. yeah…waiting. BTW, I like C/E’s friendship. I like it in the way of that he’s like Morgan and Tyreese on helping her growth. He’s a cool dude. But fandom gets in the way and s9 might might make C/E be canon and I won’t like that because I find their romance buildup sucks(no C/E moment in finale too) and it seems to make Carol OOC. sigh.

Anyways, I think most people and you, thought of comic-R/M because of the “best friend” scene. Right?

  In this panel, there is also something I wonder about for Carol’s arc in s9. Will she have comic’s M plot of “do I deserve happiness?” But, in my other posts about Carol and comic-M, I mentioned that Carol and comic-M are not similar in this part of the story. M was upset during the time jump and left feeling with regret and guilt, broke up E, and then wayyyyyy later had happiness with finding her daughter. In s8 finale, it’s like Carol found happiness already..with um Henry right? Writers didn’t say about E, but she’s staying Kingdom. So it’s confusing. Maybe Carol isn’t really truly madly deeply happy yet. And some C/E shippers think they’re married already. %)  i really hope not. thats just crazy writng. wtf i want good buildups in ships or all ships i guess. why my notps are just toxic  and no good buildups.

It would be great if Caryl have this comic-R/M thing in this arc and remix it a bit. There are a lot great moments in this arc in the comics with R/M, ..the before Whisper war happens. It’s when they reunite and reconnect.

Another lil random speculations and thoughts

Which I just now realized it’s like Caryl in s8 finale..crappy writing. Carol left unexpectedly to live in Kingdom…right? Does that make Daryl bummed? IDK heh I doubt that whole thing is what it is. Carol didn’t leave by being upset and sad. I’m assuming she had and offscreen moment with Daryl and Rick that she’s staying and living in Kingdom. hmmm Well maybe it is…a start of angst~. Maybe Carol just didn’t want to tell Daryl that she gonna stay in Kingdom (for Henry, or E or idk) and didn’t tell Daryl because of afraid of him changing her mind or because of feels~. 

I find it funny when I see haters feeling sorry for Carylers because of what Skybound said about Caryl might take the “best friend” scene in the comics. Like uh the comics and the show are not done. Lovers can be your best friend too. Caryl may still happen in s9 or later, E may die,  Caryl may happen when/if comic-R didn’t happen. Also, speculating the show and the comics can always go different and we also have Kang as showrunner too and that could be different in the writing style, so it’s a  different kind of speculating too. So yeah we’re just speculating and …/we’re all fans and have different interpretations. *also there’s people who don’t see the comic-M or comic R&M similarities so..there’s that too. ok.
