claudia never stops being a theme in the books and their life together is ever present. I think anne could have written a lot of it better, but louis and lestat are forever haunted by their failures with claudia and their relationship then. it affects everything they do forever.

idk how it doesn't occur to ppl that someone being physically older but still more sheltered wouldn't be *more* devastating in ways. unless they change lestat's experience with paris, he might be older but still clueless how to navigate that city, have any independence of his family, have experience in relationships. I think that would be interesting.

I mean, not rly tho?? like I just wrote, if he's still been sheltered and unable to escape his home life that whole time, he won't be a worldly 34 y/o. he's also got major daddy issues, that doesn't just go away cuz ur older. aging him up obviously makes him physically older but doesn't rly make it a stretch of reality for his mentality about some stuff. a lot of ppl who live in abuse live like this bcuz surviving however many years thru that means typical milestones and certain developments can pass u by. also none of us ever stops needing validation and guidance anyway.

the show was also always supposed to run long, so they've known from the start what they were casting for. I don't think there'll be much visible difference in actors. I actually think that's why they cast them older. the diff between 20s and 30s is p obvious but 30s to 40s isn't.

💜 icon: pete saengtham set - this set was a BEAST to make (the first gif alone took me two days to get the way i wanted it kdfshfj), but i love the way it turned out! i set out to really let loose with typography and animation and transitions, and i think i pulled it off.

🧡 only friends + iphones set - when @cal-kestis shared her template for her incredible iphone sets, i had to give it try! coming up with different color combos and thinking about what the characters would prioritize on their phones was a lot of fun.

💖 emotions: love + uncertainty (sand x ray, only friends) set - this set reinvented itself a few times bc i wanted it to express what was happening between sand and ray at the time it was being posted. i'm often inspired by music, and when 'do i wanna know' by arctic monkeys played in one of my mixes, i knew that had to be the basis. that sand mentions liking arctic monkeys in the show only helped fuel that. i was inspired by this set, esp by the second to last gif, and i wanted a similar effect for my set. it took FOREVER to get it (mostly) the way i wanted it, because i had to just. figure it out? it's not as seamless as it is in the inspiration set, but i think i did okay?

💛 sand x ray, only friends (inspired by this beautiful set by @seamayweed) aka the kintsugi set - i fell in love with sea's kintsugi set and when the prompt of 'inspiration' was announced for the userdramas event, i immediately thought of it. the timing coincided with eps 8 & 9 of only friends, and i was thinking about how ray has these 'cracks' and sand is the gold lovingly piecing them back together to help make something even more beautiful......that was corny as hell but that was the thought process. honestly? i think it turned out beautifully and i'm really proud of it.

❤️ halsey - finally // beautiful stranger (sand x ray, only friends) (tw cracked glass effect and flickering neon) - this was a birthday gift for my beloved @henwilsons, who loves sandray as well. she also likes halsey, so i combed thru some songs and finally (heh) decided to work with 'finally // beautiful stranger'. i feel like the mood and lyrics of the song mirror sand's feelings for ray: this beautiful stranger bulldozes his way into his life and he wants to believe they can just be friends, that sex between them won't change anything ('and i say i'm only playing'). but whoops he fucked around and fell in love. and he's been hurt but he can't help but want this man. (god these bozos mean so much to me.) i wanted the set to have a 'last call at the bar' kind of vibe, so i used deep blue and red and then paired that with neon lighting. the cracked glass effect to convey being terrified and hurt just made sense to me. i think it turned out nice, and mia really liked it, and that was the most important thing!

💚 put that blorbo under a microscope!: ray pakorn - she's new but i love her! like most a lot of my sets, i didn't have a solid idea in my head about what i wanted to do. i knew that i wanted to gif ray (he's such a dumpling), that the scene of ray and sand in the hallway of the rehab center with the green floral art behind them made me want to use green, and it evolved from there. infinite thanks go to @deokmis who patiently listened to me ramble about this and gave me valuable suggestions and feedback that made it so much better! i love this set and i'm obsessed with green now.

first off talvas always gives me spiraling med student vibes so that's what he is. he's like ~24 as i always label him, so probably getting a masters. that won't matter soon though lol. something to do with surgery so that it's convenient to the setting and his 'role' in a group. (logically it would make more sense for him to be into engineering and such, but that's not alldat interesting for this or any setting at all imo)

and then obviously neloth wud be a professor perhaps or just someone talvas sees on the regular for educational purposes. i'm just gonna say he's pushing 70 but still not retired for some reason (he's a Tryhard). i honestly get the feeling he would carry the same level annoyance people get from Larry of s1 except he doesn't really start fights + has no actual 'good' reason to be that unbearable unlike Larry, who did have crumbs of a tragic past/loss. he's big on researching stuff at his own alone time and has an extensive record of abusing and testing on animals i BET! but it gets covered up pretty easily, or no one really wants to get into that debacle with him. everyone knows that if he could he'd test on people too.

i'm not gonna start making up entire lifestories rn so let's get to the zombie part. they obviously end up together involuntarily, talvas isn't really overjoyed but doesn't detest it either, since he respects neloff deeply and trusts his judgement (sometimes). neloth just keeps him around because he knows he can't just be walking around free at his old age in an apocalyptic world and needs a meat-shield with him at all times, especially someone young that has more energy/physical abilities than him. but obviously talvas is not always able to be big help to him just cause he's pretty "Soft" and wasn't ever prepared for anything like this. he's still stressing over his finals or soemthing bruh. they develop a strong 'bond' @ some point just cause neloth isn't liked by anyone and nobody is actually willing to stick with him thru it all but talvas. just bc it's easy for him to cling onto someone that reminds him of the normal past. when neloth realizes that someone is willing to look past his nasty behavior or practices, or is just afraid to voice their own opinion, he starts being pretty open with that person (talvas in this case), a form of trust. it's not just cause talvas is a lil bitch, but also cause he himself shares some opinions that neloth has on other people's lives/their worth/morality. it's something that would stick out from his personality in any setting at all but here it's even more important from all the deaths happening around them, especially when they're grouped up with other people. their apocalypse journey is just 90% talvas trying to do damage control and apologizing for neloth's behavior by saying he has a (NPD) diagnosis he has never taken care of before the whole zombie thing happened so u should be patient with him

so obvi the best part of this all would definitely be seeing how they would gel with a group of other survivors. it's funny too because talvas is literally always the only reason nobody throws neloth out to die or just blows his head off clean bc they had enough. talvas takes on the role of a medic like Katt in s1, and is 'high ranking' just cause of that. neloth is a 1000001% even more capable of taking on that role, but i just Know......he would just refuse to do it cus he doesn't feel like it. he'd probably try and separate himself from the group or any discussions they might have because he doesn't value anyone's opinion on anything at all. the only thing keeping him in a group would be talvas begging him to stay (neloth not being able to separate from him for reasons listed above) and him finding something to do to keep himself occupied. and Happy at that 😍 it goes like this: (talvas voice) hey remember your wife that turned last week so we had to put her down ? Yes about that i;m sorry to bring her up, Yeah stop crying i'm sorry, anyways as i was saying.. Sir neloth dug her out of that grave and is currently ripping of her skin tidbits to lab test them, just thought you should know.. don't tell him i told you anything please he'll get really mad at me okay . also your son that you didn't have the heart to put down and just left him for us to deal with? Tied to a bed, he already turned so it's no big deal, sir neloth broke his jaw off so he can't do anything to you if you feel like seeing him. Sir neloth chops his limbs off to see what happens sometimes. it's smells like crazy in there tho so wear this mask if you wanna go in, just warning you.

can't say there'd be an apparent motive that others see in his experimental, kinda unethical, ventures, but talvas assures everyone that there is one. nobody knows. But honestly neloth is too smart of a guy to just be testing on people out of pure curiosity, it might be him trying to blow out his ego to an unimaginable degree by trying to figure out how the whole infection works, how to stop someone from turning or how to cure someone who's been bitten. tasks very ambitious but keeping him busy and away from everyone else. he mostly only communicates and shares 'secrets' with talvas because talvas has faith in him and doesn't see anything wrong with what he's doing. bonus: the whole group hates neloth even more because he keeps using the generator power to have talvas shave his head even though that should be his last priority. neloth is in seventh heaven the whole time (not showing it) just cause his dream of getting to experiment on people without being thrown in jail became true

cute fact: if they ever got into a St. John's dairy type situation and were confronted with the fact that they committed cannibalism.... they rly wouldn't gaf especially neloth. i can see talvas turning to look at him just to see how he feels (and form his opinion on the situation around his reaction) and neloth is just chilling getting his stomach full. talvas wud be disgusted by the food but then eat regardless. feels Funny for the remainder of his life after that. it really doesn't bother neloth tho. i had other situations in mind for them but they slipped out of my mind for now lmfao

neloth would have the most insane plot armor of all time to the extent that even though he's always working closely with the undead he'd never get bitten or just get killed. his ego is shielding him from everything because he values his life so much that it works in his favor. talvas latches onto that plot armor just because he's the 'closest' person to neloth but he's too nice of a person to actually survive for a very long time. he'd get Bitten😂😂😂😂 #FlyHigh but actually the nicest thing(s) neloth has ever done for him would happen after that occurrence... i feel like they'd hide that fact from everyone as a team and neloth would try to do something about it. but talvas dies anyway bye king. love you

wait Update: i forgot i wanted to write down some of this here as a bonus too. skyrim would still be in warfare but it just gets paused for zombies. i really want (we all want something don't we damnn) for elenwen and all her thalmorlings to be stuck together with some imperials in a military base perhaps. doesn't matter. just leading up to the fact that thalmor would have free reign to commit cannibalism (not every single one of them is into the idea but they're not that disgusted by it) while the imperials just try to survive on actual supplies. Elenwen: Back on summerset isles we were always taught not to waste 🤓��. they have the most civil agreement where the thalmor would promise not to eat any imperials if they let them eat outsiders as they pleased.

hey hey so i saw your post about sirius accents and class and accents/sociolinguistics (particularly in the uk) have literally been one of my biggest interests since forever, and i totally get what you're saying, it is natural to adopt ways of speaking from the people you're closest with and there is deffo an aspect of that in the way i headcanon sirius' way of speaking. however... even if sirius isn't machiavelli planning out whether or not to pronounce an 'h', it is a really well documented phenomenon of people (particularly those of the middle class in the uk) switching up their accent nearly unconsciously in function w/what they are trying to project.

to say that sirius is in the wrong for adopting "working class" speech is totally not it, totally incorrect. but i don't think that's what people are saying? idk maybe i've just not come across them, but what i've seen is people pointing out areas where sirius might unconsciously reinforce/benefit from classism thru his speech.

i really really do not want to come off as condescending, but classism in the uk as it manifests thru accents is something really hard to understand coming from a north american perspective, which i know because i thought i understood after reading about it for years and then i went the uk and realised i didn't know shit, so even if it comes off as people villianising sirius i really don't think that is the case, i think it's just a really complicated issue!

I am not anglophone at all. I learnt English in school. So, I am not attempting to be the expert on accentism in any anglophone context. I think I learnt a little through reading, but I am also aware that that won't come close to the lived experience of people in the anglophone context. I maybe should have put this as a disclaimer on my post, so it doesn't stand as an absolute.

And with my outsider perspective, I am trying to envision Sirius inside the spectrum of accents the uk provides. I personally do not see Sirius as a person who forcefully tries to disconnects himself from rp to appear 'cooler', which is mostly how I have seen his adopting of different speech patterns seen interpreted, by the pov character in question. Which I also absolutely think is a thing many people who were raised with rp do (I just can't see Sirius do it just to appear more fun).

My perspective on Sirius though, is, that he is someone who is very well aware of his socio-economic position. He would adopt some speech patterns naturally, bc that's just how languages, and having friends works.

But I personally also like to play with aus in which Sirius doesn't have the security net of the potters, and his uncles inheritance. And I then wonder how someone who was raised with rp would navigate a situation like that. Of course, his rp will give him advantages in most fields - from getting a bank account, to getting a place to stay.

But imagining him having to navigate a society in which he would be as bad off as many others, trying to get friends, and then get those people to trust him, as a disinherited heir to an empire, is still interesting to me. Maybe especially bc I know so little about all of this.

And still, I usually see [Remus] uncomfortable that sirius, who is only ever well off, would forcibly adopt speeking patterns. Idk I was just thinking about it

"all lesbian rep is always femme" it's not, actually. i literally never look on the screen and see femmes. we get hallmark channel blondes who look exactly like every other straight woman on tv. actual femmes are so beyond what's considered acceptable or normal for lesbians - in fact characters i would call femme are usually very pointedly straight and usually shamed/demonized, with their appearance a pointed commentary on why they're bad people, from slutshaming to the selfish material girl trope, unless it treads into the "weird" category for straight people, in which case they're always oddball lonely cat ladies nobody likes.

but even then, the distinct things that i recognize in femmes (queercoding, if you will,) are always absent, because they are deviations from the male gaze. femininity is expected to be a performance for the male gaze, femininity embraced by lesbians is literally the opposite. guess what we see on tv?

and i don't say this to be like "ooh femmephobia is real!" rather, my point is that media just hates lesbians. and i dislike when people say "all we see for lesbian rep is femmes," because we don't see femmes, we see feminine people playing a lesbian based on a straight interpretation of what femme and the female gaze is. they literally don't understand it. there is no gender nonconformity, no actual femme coding on any of these characters; what you mean by "femme" is they wear makeup and maybe high heels.

media hates lesbians. butch rep is utterly abysmal, and I'm begging y'all to reframe how you look at what rep we do have, because continuing to call what they give us "femme" is a disservice to lesbians. straight people do not understand that there are different ways to be a woman or perform femininity, so all we get for lesbian rep are straight women and straight interpretations of lesbians, not femmes. please don't disrespect lesbians by acting like any of what we get qualifies as rep for butches and femmes, because it doesn't, and it won't without direct queer involvement because straight people are incapable of understanding what we are or even look like.

Hm those are really interesting points! That would make the story hang together in a really neat way, I love this take! (I'd personally object to the "They always try to do it alone" bc I feel the moral of the story far more often points to "with unity many impossible things may be achieved" and I see the norn mindset as being a little at odds with that, but hey! Character growth! Or just straight-up Wolf spirit lol)

But yeah it definitely gives a more weighty reason to why the Commander is Like That, where a charr or human or asura, aside from personal headcanon/characterization, could just up and say "I'm done." For norn and sylvari, it's your entire culture and way of life, not just the last ten years of it, that they'd be denying.

That definitely does make it more powerful on a second playthrough, I guess I'm more skeptical of a first-time playthrough, when you're starting with little to no info about the world and trying to piece the story together.

Eir dying is a real smack in the face tbh. They handled that so poorly too. Like - that COULD HAVE been the trigger for a lot of things with Braham, instead he gets one instance and a whole player base misunderstanding him. And Zojja?? Like Eir dying could have been the catalyst for SO MUCH growth there, but instead NOTHING. She at least got a memorial and whatever story Braham DID get, but honestly the aftermath of HoT did everyone dirty. Eir, Trahearne, sylvari in general (Caithe got the best of it but still), the Nightmare Court, the Pale Tree, Zojja, ANYTHING where the whole gang got together and said "whew... that was an awful six weeks" like a proper epilogue (we got one of those for literally every other expac ugh).

Honestly it feels like Eir got a lot of things stacked against her specifically from the start. She has a grand vision and is the catalyst for starting Destiny's Edge, but she never lives to see the Tooth crack or Jormag defeated or ANY of her visions. She wasn't even that helpful against Zhaitan. Like that's such a tragedy. She sacrificed so much, had such grand visions, worked so hard, and didn't see the fruits of ANY of it except maybe talking to Braham later on as a ghost.

And maybe a norn Commander has a similar fate: never able to rest and say "I'm done, I can relax." Always fighting, never able to sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Anet, beach episode when.

I feel like the typical reasons we recommend sylvari first is because of how they relate to Trahearne; the typical norn mindset I think would be far more prone to errors of thought along the lines of "I'm building my legend and I am or am going to be the specialest little boy", cue resentment when Trahearne comes along. (But then, if a person was prone to that, even playing sylvari won't save them lol.)

(I could totally design fixes for ALL the stories that'd introduce Trahearne better MASSIVELY. Even just have people constantly keep mentioning him all thru the first 60 levels till Claw Island. Mentor constantly going "Oh Trahearne told me XYZ once" or "man Trahearne taught me this / I taught Trahearne that" or "this info about the Risen that we have is ALSO corroborated by Trahearne, so like, that makes it EXTRA legit" - every single level 30 story involves Risen primarily, so perfect places to namedrop him, EXCEPT the norn, but you end up going to the Literal Durmand Priory Building, how easy it would be to have Trahearne just happening to be visiting and decide to pitch in), even at the Destiny's Edge meeting in LA, have Caithe approach even non-sylvari players with like "I can tell you're concerned with the threat of the dragon's, HELP ME" (which would just be. A better intro to DE anyway so you have a legit personal connection with one you didn't have before), then just name drop Trahearne in there too. Like you DON'T EVEN HAVE TO CHANGE ANY OF THE STORIES, JUST ADD LIKE. SOME DIALOGUE) (so so so so many story improvements could be made with More Dialogue but I admit I'm biased, dialog is great and amazing)

Anyway, very interesting take on norn vs sylvari (everybody I introduce to the game likes to play norn lol, now I have a potential way to spin it haha). (Noooo not me always masterminding their stories lolz)

i'm not even a sylvari person myself and i believe that people looking into guild wars 2 for the story experience should select sylvari. the sylvari personal story has IMO the most seamless emotional tie-in to the earlier main story. you will know trahearne and your trust in caithe is something that will have more meaning and weight to you. heart of thorns (elaborates no further). plus sylvari are kind of gay. if you are a furry disregard everything i just said and select "charr"

Yeah, I'd be happy to talk about my thoughts so far! :D Altho fyi I'm still on the 2nd chapter and I'm playing pretty slowly/taking my time with it, so I haven't met a ton of characters yet. I'm trying really hard to find all the collectables/win the arcade challenges and stuff so I'm going at a snail pace lol. It's been an absolute blast though!

BIG SPOILERS FOR U/LTRA D/ESPAIR G/IRLS (AND OTHER GAMES) BELOW!!!

K/omaru's kinda different than I expected her to be tbh but I do love what they did with her! I kind of had it in my head that she'd be more upbeat/heroic and like, stronger/more of a fighter than M/akoto, so to find out she's actually even quicker to give up/very defeatist was a bit of a shock lol. But I do really like it, both for development purposes as the game goes on and also bc she IS what a normal person in that world would be, depressed and scared shitless, panicky even with a weapon, relies a lot of T/ouko. Having the sister of the Ultimate Hope be... not Despair, but just a little less confident like that is very nice thematically. I love her banter with T/ouko a lot, they're funny af together. Not sure if I really ship them? They might be cute but also T/ouko is so 200% devoted to Master B/yakuya that even my multishipper butt has trouble separating them at all lmao. One-sided crush from K/omaru's side would be pretty sweet tho 💛

I don't trust M/onaca. Not even bc she's named M/onaca or bc of her creepy hollow gaze or overly uvu nice routine, but bc she has green hair. In my experience you NEVER trust an anime bitch with the cutesy green hair and golden/green eyes combo. They will be evil, or at least a bit unhinged every time istg. This bitch be plottin 🙃 That said, I'll admit her design is cute af, very aesthetic 💚 and I'm very interested in her development as a character. Her and the blue boi are cute although I'm positive she's going to betray his ass immediately when the moment comes. There is no love in her soulless little eyes and I fear for him

J/ataro (I think that's his name? The art mask boi) is my favourite Warrior of Hope!!! I mean, I'm like 80% sure his mask is made of human skin and I know he's committed many, MANY atrocities (that dancing puppet diorama of adult corpses was... something lmao), but ALSO... he's very polite, easily the nicest of the Delightful Children 2.0. He fixed their air conditioners and chairs and stuff and he's a good boi deep down kind of. Minus the murder I mean. And he has floppy sleeves and likes crafts and the fact that he literally wants ppl to hate him and doesn't think he's worthy of love slaughters my feelings 😭 He's like G/undham but EVEN SADDER and therefore he will be my favourite no matter what awful shit he's guaranteed to pull in the future akdkfk. I love that she's the fighter and I look forward to seeing what devastation she'll wreak 👿 She and M/onaca would be cute tbh (but again, I'm sure M/onaca will Ruin Her. Blue boy: He's a cute, composed boi and I feel bad for him lol. You just know he's going to absolutely snap towards the end. He seems like the smartest and most likely to succeed, which means he's gonna get screwed over big time. I like that he kind of babysits the other gremlins. RIP his crush on M/onaca, he's gonna get his heart broken. Also watching him talk shit to N/agito gives me such life y'all don't even know lmao. Those milkshakes were garbage and he should feel bad.

Red boy: Kinda annoying AF to me personally, but I do feel horrible for him. The scene where he's so desperate to stop his hand from shaking that he bashes it until he breaks it while K/omaru was begging and crying for him to stop was hard af to sit through, GOD. Everything about that scene was just hhhhh

I'm legit so scared to see these other kids break down after that, like goddamn... I don't wanna know what they've been through but also I do ajdjglk. Damn these game creators snipping my heartstrings, I just wanted to make robot bears dance dude 😭

The sacrifice one is for my first DnD character ever, my lil halfling druid boy Kieran Broadoak!! Since he was The First (and also my only DnD experience up till that point was the Adventure Zone LMAO) I of COURSE had to give him something tragic in his backstory, so like

Kieran's deal is that he's the oldest son of a farming family who ran away as a teen because he didn't WANNA take over the farm, he didn't WANNA settle down (with a WIFE??), he wanted to learn magic and be an adventurer!! And he ran away WITH a new friend who'd wandered thru town, a wizard named Surana who tried to teach him magic (unsuccessful, the boy was Not suited for wizardry) and then just ended up becoming a general mentor and close friend!

They traveled around until, in the heart of a forest in the dead of night, these two young'uns were caught by some particularly bloodthirsty bandits; Surana set herself up to defend her ward, but combat magic not being her specialty, things went haywire and the whole forest ended up being set ablaze; Kieran ran and barely escaped, but couldn't find any trace of Surana afterwards.

Concluding that she'd sacrificed herself to save him and feeling pretty shit about it! We actually found pretty early in the campaign that Surana did live and went on to be a part of a pretty cool secret magical order, but that happens.... 'bout 5 years later?? So until then, Kieran was just a wandering travel guide with no roots and no real connections who was. Kinda just getting by. (But it's cool bc then he met the party, found Surana, helped save the world, and now he's settled happily with his sweet buff human husband!!)

i'll answer the first couple questions and then i'll give my overall theory or whatever lol

so, i do think he enjoys being single, but occasionally gets upset about it (but so does anyone that's been single a while). i think to some degree he has worked on himself, but i also think he has a long way to go.

his main issue, as he's stated it before a bunch, is that he doesn't let ppl in. and that's a huge reason why i think he doesn't date and only hooks up with girls. you don't have to be committed or really even know the other person to fuck them.

and i think the reason he doesn't let ppl in is bc of his past relationship. my assumption about how that relationship played out is that he gave his all to this person, got too invested too fast, and then either they pushed him away bc they didn't feel the same or they fell out of love for him. and that just crushed him. but then he went and blamed himself for what happened. bc if you hear the way he talks about his previous relationship, he always says he was clingy, and he was obsessed. he put her on a pedestal. but… she apparently did nothing wrong? not even once? besides cancelling plans, that's the worst i've heard him say about her.

he doesn't want anyone to get that close to him, or… he doesn't want to ever feel that close to someone ever again. i think to some degree too, he's looking for someone that's gonna fix him in a way. sometimes some of the things he tweets make it sound like he's expecting to meet The One and all of his problems will just disappear and his heart will be mended. but i think part of that is the hopeless romantic side coming thru.

also a bit of a side tangent, but i think to some degree he goes after girls that are already full invested in him in a way. not that they are in love with him or whatever, but girls that are clearly attracted to him. i think he's scared to get rejected again, so his safest bet is to go after girls that clearly want him.

and as i've mentioned before, once he starts to feel close to this person, he pushes them away. the moment he starts to feel even an ounce of feelings, he's out. one foot in the door, one foot in the grave. he sabotages any relationship he could possibly have, which i think to some degree is why he'll make comments like "all the girls in la suck" bc i think he nitpicks and tries to find a reason for it to not work, when really the reason a fling to turn into more is bc he won't let them.

i personally don't see colby settling down until things with him and sam relax a bit, and god knows when that will be. colby buries himself in work bc it's the one place i think he feels he has the most control. or, if anything fails, it's easier to navigate what went wrong and what can be improved. in a relationship, it's not that black and white. ppl fall out of love for literally any reason under the sun. you can love someone to death but that doesn't mean they feel the same way.

also in general i think he's too busy to have a gf rn. i don't think he thinks he can commit to both a gf and work at the same time without one of them losing, if that makes sense. if you think about it, the last time he had a gf, him and sam weren't that big. the workload was different.

Clover: I can't have caffeine, so I have to decline. [she grimaces, because why god a life without Moutain Dew.] But I've never been pregnant before, so I don't know how I'm supposed to celebrate.

Clover: [food is ordered, and food is with the pregnant girl now, and she's happily eating said food. but hey, she's gonna fish for info now. Just watch her.] Do you think you'd-- ever want kids, or???

Marshall Lee: [he steals some fries. or maybe he ordered himself some as the eater for two needs all the sustenance she can take, but he ponders the question. Thinking real hard, and before, before Clover getting knocked up by Roy, he would have said no. In fact, he was glad the child wasn't his, as it were a possibility. but no. h hadn't want any children then but now....] I don't know. Sure. With the right person, I guess. [eating salty goodness.]

Clover: Mm. [she nods, contemplating. Would she fall under that category, if Marshall knew the truth? Probably not. But being open to the idea at all? A step up, for sure.] I think... you'd be a pretty good dad.

yes i'm blocking out all of the words that have her name in it. i know that's probs over kill since anyone that follows me knows who this is about, but there's a reason for it.

first to address your ask, i've heard of that page before. and i know for a fact that that fan is a minor, which is why i'm also blocking out their page bc i don't want them to get hate. that being said, i know they are personally closer to... my little pony, more so than others so it's possible that a gc they're in would have MLP talking in it. i don't know any fans of hers to confirm or deny this statement with proof so... i'm sorry i'm probs not the one to come to.

this all being said, i'm done talking about her. not forever, but definitely for a long time. if you need to come to my ask box and vent, by all means go ahead. just know i probs won't post it or if i do i'm blurring out her name bc i don't want to talk about her anymore.

every discussion about her just goes in circles bc nothing definite comes out about her. but here is my god's honest response: if she is going into gcs talking about colby and their friendship/relationship/whatever, i hope it comes back to bite her in the ass. truthfully, if she is disrespecting him by going to fans who are collectively minors (and even if they aren't, that doesn't change anything) and telling them that her and colby are dating, i hope that if she is lying, he's leaves her permanently. he stops being her friend and all connection between the two of them is disconnected. i don't wish for either of them to go thru the hurt that losing a friend can cause, but i'm serious when i say if she is doing this and lying, i hope karma is the biggest bitch to her.

I do agree but i came to realize that many of us (fans) are not used to Independent artists and how their way of doing things or go upon their music/sound are totally different than ur "normal" artist that's under a record label.

We are so used to an artist being and doing certain things because that's what they get paid for and deserve but forget that Independent artists basically does not do the normal thing and it could look like that they are just wasting away when in fact they need to do things 2x harder and 2x more than from what the norm does and not everyone is able to do that due to finances. If an artist's face gets up on a building, that's money which the label covers but an independent artist does not always have that kinda money on their own to do that. They need to go as per their own budget and stick to it by any means. I think that's also why she moved back to Miami to save on money and she's maybe renting out her apartment in LA as means to extra income which is ALWAYS a good investment no matter how well off u are.

An independent artist is not going to get the promo/attention their fans wants them to have and deserve bc they need to budget and basically hope for the best. That's also why she depends on the internet, radio plays etc. bc there is literally no1 else to depend on. She needs those Radio plays bc that's part of her income. Again it's not what fans are used to but that's the path she chose and went with.

Timbaland and Missy Elliott are Independent artist and when they started off, when they got booked gigs they used to sleep in the car in front of the venues bc they didn't have no record label for hotels etc.

Artists like Lilly Allen, Owl City, Artic Monkey got popular thru MySpace and that's how they got their career's started. Lauren has/had Fifth Harmony so that's her major dependency basically.

I'm not saying it won't harm her to be less rude and arrogant at times bc she needs those she often offend and then the next day she wants to sell her Merch. I started to think she was bipolar at one time bc how can u be rude and then switch and be like "guys my merch is out" lol

But i swear if i didn't think she was/has any talent i wouldn't have stuck around and so would all of you.

Appreciate you being one of the few blogs that can be honest about Lauren’s career and brand. I think she’s learning things slowly. You could see how confident (little cocky) she was when 5H first ended. Like “y’all are going to feel so stupid when my music drops…” etc. Cut to two years later and here we still are. Even now she still thinks people will jump on her music with her playing the game. Getting upset at local radio for not playing a song that clearly hasn’t gotten a single push or treatment. But she still tweets things like “y’all will see.” No girlie you need to see. She’s so talented but I think entitled. She just expected hype and success without doing the work and focusing on brand strategy. If she wants to make it, she needs to think like a successful artist / brand. Stop using twitter for personal rants - and often insulting some group of people. Commit to a sound and actual debut single. Market yourself to appeal to wider audiences. Don’t burn radio bridges by blasting them on twitter. Understand no one owes you anything. Approach your career with hunger and humility. Get a pro photographer and stylist to curate your social for more polished looks. Be on time and show up for the things you promise. Stop telling people how great you are, show them, and let them say it. She’s matured but she still has some bad work habits to unlearn.

Gosh, there are so many points you mentioned that I agree with you anon on, which is amazing. First of all thank you for your words and your point of view and second, we can see all this in her because we do not idolize her. We don't believe everything she says as if it is something sacred and we can see how she falters in her career.

Everything you say makes all the sense in the world and Lauren should follow several of those tips, but she doesn't and I highly doubt she will.

Why? Because she wants to get away from that very controlled vision of being an artist. As long as she can't reconcile being a brand with being an artist, I don't think her career will stabilize so quickly. She wants to go completely indie and that means almost zero control of other people. The problem is that you need a little control and order so that everything does not look so messy and that is how I feel that Lauren has her career. It's not a bad career, but she's messy. She has no basis. She has no foundation to tell you that she will begin her musical eras in such a way.

That is not happening. At least I haven't seen it yet and that may change with LJ1 maybe. I really hope that can happen and we get it wrong on this. But I really wish that Lauren had a good person who guides her career on a good path, more structured and more stable so that she can have all the creative freedom that she wants without losing order and objectivity
