Do you have any source websites about mesozoic wildlife/ecosystems? I want to make a clangen or just comic thing about some form of dinosaur (either the microraptor, velociraptor, or kulindadromeus) and I'd like to figure out what other species were a part of their life
Nope sorry, research is rarely that easy buuuuut...
*cracks knuckles*
H'okay I have some advice but it'll probably be long and rambly.
Disclaimer:
I am a professional Nothing and am not an authority on anything. There is no right or wrong, this is just how I Personally do research.
Short answer:
Work out what geological formation(s) your chosen main-character-species is found in and Wikipedia it. (E.g. Kulindadromeus is fron the Russian Ukureyskaya Formation). Then go to Wikipedia's sources and skim at least the abstracts of scientific papers to get an idea if things.
If the Formation is lacking info, try searching the Epoch they're from. By that I mean "middle Jurassic" not just "Jurassic" 'cause each of these is already Huge, you want a decent idea of the overallworld they lived in! (Better yet, get it to stage, like Callovian or Maastrichian)
Also learn to draw ferns, lots of ferns, there's no grass in the Mesozoic so the groundcover is Weird cx
Long answer
(to be considered before even getting to the above step):
When choosing a setting for a story, particularly a paleo one, I find it useful to decide on what kind of story I want to tell first, then pick a species that compliments that.
A clangen, for example, relies heavily on the species being very social (such as herding hadrosaurs or sauropods). Telling a story about a lone traveller might be better with a large pterosaur or wandering ceratopsian. A story about warring factions would be better set a high competition environment like the Kem Kem or Morison, with several fighting predator guilds. Conversely a story about working through personal differences may be better with different species of herbivores living in symbiosis; hadrosaurs and ornithomimids acting like modern gazelles and zebras.
Etc etc
Choosing a species first is fine, but you'll likely have to work the story around what makes sense within that! Otherwise you end up with the aforementioned social tigers and patriarchal hyenas.
Also don't shrink-wrap your dinosaurs im begging on my hands and knees

tl;dr: research everything, choosing a species before a story is climbing ass-first up a tree, Wikipedia is your friend because they compile and summarise primary sources
#so anyway this could have just been a âno sorryâ but i get carried away always#this is my curse#Wikipedia is great i donate to them as often as possible bc i like actually good information in this apocalyptic time where AI is rampant#also dont trust anything be David Peters#aka reptileevolution aka pterosaur heresies#research#xenofiction#paleo stuff#homotherium#clangen#mammothask#alexkittyandra#sabertooth#dinosaur#lots of dinosaurs#im a palaeontologist technically so ig im Kinda an authority on Some dino things#but i thoroughly do not enjoy people who act as though there is a right and wrong in writing

One week. Seven days.
Not a significant amount of time for most in the grand scheme of a lifetime. How much could change in a single week? Everything it seemed and yet nothing at all.
A week of not acting like yourself. Days filled with conflicting thoughts between overreacting and not having the energy to emote. Excuses became your best friend. Maybe it was because you were due to start your period; perhaps it was a mental breakdown. Who knows?
There was never a day that you EVER doubted your love for Steve Rogers and James Barnes. The term soulmates didnât even come close to how much you loved these men. The loves of your life. Saving you from a lifetime of pain, saving you from yourself. There would never be a day that you werenât grateful for these men, and every day, you tried to show them your appreciation with love and affection.
Yes, you were still human. There were days when you couldnât even cope with their assertive overprotectiveness. Yes, it was for your benefit; they loved you as much as you loved them. Scared of losing you, cautious of the horrible life and background that theyâd saved you from. Their job as heads of the Rogers Mafia was rifled with dangers, violence, and death. There was always a target on their backs and anyone they encountered. The list was endless as to why Steve and Bucky acted as they did.
For years, there was nothing but appreciation for this way of life. The dangers that surrounded every second were always at an arm's length away from you as you lived a comfortable, loving life with the men you loved.
Steve and Bucky were renowned for their protection of you. Going to extreme lengths to make sure you were safe. This ranged from 24/7 security, personal bodyguards always by your side unless they were there, and weapons hidden throughout your home that you had been thoroughly trained on just in case.
Next were the verbal and physical threats Steve and Bucky would give those who dared to look at you for more than 5 seconds. People died. MANY people had been killed, as a matter of fact, in the line of duty, love and a little bit of crazy. The lines that were crossed to make sure you were safe had no boundaries.
Except on these small occasions. Just one week for your patience to lose all hope.
MONDAY
It had been a calm day for you. You complete chores at home until youâre satisfied while your boyfriends are at work, making money and continuing to prove they own Brooklyn. You wanted to treat them to something special and decided to cook a hearty meal and have a romantic dinner.
The table was decorated with candles and fresh flowers from the garden. Even your dog Dodger was handsome in his blue and red bowtie around his neck. He sat his head on his paws, watching you chop vegetables.
âWhat do you think Dodger? Does Mama move well?â you ask him whilst shaking your hips in time with the song playing on the radio. The rottweilerâs head tilts as if to say youâre really going to ask me that?
âFine, maybe I canât dance, but I can cook; if youâre good, youâll get some of the meat scrapsâ. Dodgers ears perk up at this, and you canât help but grin down at your baby, âOf course, youâre going to be a good boy, youâre always my good boy- OW SHIT!â
The pain is intense, and the burn radiates from the centre of your palm. Blood, that's all you see at first. The crimson drips from the end of the knife in your hand before it clutters onto the cutting board.
âHoney, weâre home!â Bucky hollered from the front door.
You couldnât reply. Utterly frozen and helpless as more drips continued to coat the surface. This is how you die from chopping vegetables. Youâll be the laughing stock of the infamous mafia leaderâs lover dies from cutting a carrot.
Dodger, ever the inquisitive boy, began to bark hysterically, running out of the kitchen towards Steve and Bucky, jumping up at them, biting onto their clothes and pulling in the direction of the kitchen. Heâd been trained for moments like this to protect and alert if youâre in danger.
âWhat is it, Dodger? Where is she- Fuck! Bucky, get the first aid kit. Baby, let me see.â Steveâs hand's cup yours, pressing firmly against the area that was now throbbing and you couldnât help but hiss as the sting intensified. âI know it hurts, but I need to stop it bleedingâ, he explains whilst coaxing you toward the sink.
With surprising gentleness for such a big hunk of a man, Steve washed your hand, able to inspect the wound as Bucky appeared to your other side with the first aid box opened and ready.
âItâs not deep enough to need stitches, thankfully, but Iâm going to need to press on it for a couple of minutes to stop it bleedingâ. Nodding your head in response to Steve, you lean against his body, finding comfort in his warmth and firm body.
âI guess thatâs the last time you try and do anything romantic, huh, Doll?â Tilting your head toward Bucky, you glare hard at his joke as he sticks out his bottom lip in a pout. âOh, I love it when you try and look angry with me; you look so damn cuteâ, he finishes his teasing with a bop at the end of your nose with his finger.
âBucky, stop being a jerkâ, Steve chastises as you hide your face in his chest.
âI just wanted to make you both a nice mealâ, your voice muffled against Steveâs white shirt.
âAs much as we appreciate the sentiment, maybe use the precut carrots next time, yeah?â Knocking your shoulder against Steveâs chest, he laughs and kisses your cheek as an apology for his joke.
Your hand is then thoroughly wrapped in a bandage, probably more than necessary, and youâre nudged to sit at the table while they continue cooking the meal youâd planned. Guilt settled uneasily in your stomach. It was meant to be a pleasant surprise for them, but now theyâre left clearing up after you.
Dodger came over, licking at your uninjured hand, begging for pets youâre more than happy to give him as you contemplated how to make up for your mistake.
However, Steve and Bucky had other ideas as they took it upon themselves to ensure you were effortlessly cared for to the point that they refused to allow you to cut up your food or feed yourself, cuddling you into Buckyâs lap as he fed you. Next, theyâre undressing you slowly, carefully and tenderly, bathing you, being careful of your injury, and ending the day with enough orgasms to have your mind fuzzy and body sated.
You were treated to the care and attention you were used to, and Steve and Bucky did not complain once. In fact, they had smiles on their faces, and they enjoyed looking after you, which is where your conundrum occurs. Sometimes, the overprotective attentiveness verged on being smothering.
TUESDAY
It did not end. Youâre washed, dressed, and hair combed by them. Even lifting the damn spoon for your cereal to your mouth.
âI can use a spoon; Iâm not incapable of everything!â
All youâre given in response from Bucky is a soft smile, his eyes flicking across your face like heâs trying to memorise every pore, and then once more, he continues to feed you. âI like looking after you like thisâ.
âWhat, like a baby?â you ask in a monotone voice.
âYou know exactly what I meanâ he rolls his eyes playfully but doesnât stop.
You knew he was trying to be innocent and caring, but for some reason, this time, it was hitting you the wrong way. One small mistake, and now you arenât even trusted to do anything for yourself? Maybe it was because you were irritable, as they were only being nice to you, but something didnât feel right. You need a breath or moment to be independent, but for today, you let it go, thinking it would all be back to normal by tomorrow.
WEDNESDAY
There was never a single complaint when it came to sex. They worshipped every inch of your body. Your trust in them was never-ending, especially in your most vulnerable positions. They both knew you better than you knew yourself in those intimate times.
When you need soft, they will give you love and gentleness. When you needed a more brutal, rougher fuck, they would absolutely be up for the job, which is why in the different situations and scenes played out in the bedroom, you all used the traffic light system for safe words. What might be right for one person doesnât always suit the others.
It wasnât even like you used the word âredâ often, but today, you needed it just because of your uncomfortable position. Kneeling over the back of the chair, Steve had one hand roughly gripping your hip as he fucked you from behind, blinding you with the pleasure pulsing in your cunt from his engorged cock. The other hand was in your hair, pushing you towards Buckyâs cock as he fucked your mouth.
It was perfect, hard and highly satisfying. Until Steve lifts your right leg, trying to rest your knee on the arm of the chair, giving himself more room to push his cock deeper. However, the angle at which he lifted your leg had a sharp pain shooting through your hip joint as it clicked.
Tapping your hand three times on the back of the chair, the pressure on the back of your head eased as Buckyâs cock slips out of your mouth as you rush out the word âRedâ.
Thereâs instant relief as Steve moves away, allowing you to lower your leg and rub the sore area that had clicked. The leg wasnât dislocated; it was just a bad angle and horrible timing.
âDid I hurt you? Christ, baby, Iâm so sorry I didnât mean toâ, Steve begs as he hovers behind you, looking helplessly down.
âI just- need a minuteâ, you say, trying to catch your breath enough to explain what had happened. The muscles around your hip ached, but nothing more as your breathing slowed enough that you could look up and try and give a reassuring smile. You hated how they both appeared terrified, glancing between your hip and face. âItâs fine; I just twinged my hip a little. Maybe if we just move positions or something so Iâm not kneelingâ, you suggest whilst trying to stand, but wince when the soreness returns to your hip.
Steveâs eyes are almost bulging out of his head, and he is concerned as he shakes his head, leaning down to lift you into his strong arms. âAbsolutely not; Iâm taking you to the hospital. I could have broken your hip; Iâm not risking itâ.
Gripping his cheeks, you force him to look at you while trying to remain calm and stern. âSteve, stop! Itâs fine; it was just a little twinge. Iâm not going to the hospital. Nothing is broken; I would have told you if it was, and youâd never break me.â
Steve didnât look convinced as he carefully settled your body into the centre of the bed, his calloused hand lowering over your body until resting over your right side. âYou donât know that. I could have dislocated your hip or something.â
Moving your leg to emphasise that this much damage hadnât happened to your hip, you comb your fingers through his blonde hair to soothe him. âSteve, please stop overreacting. Iâm not going anywhere. Iâm fineâ.
Bucky suggested, âIf you wonât go to the hospital, then Iâm still going to call Doctor Banner to come and check you over. There could be a trapped nerve or-â
âNo! You arenât listening to me. Please, will both of you just stop? I donât want to go to the hospital, and I donât want the Doctor to come and see me. It was a little twinge and nothing more. Iâm perfectly well.â The blonde and brunette exchanged an uncertain glance but thankfully didnât say anymore.
It was safe to say the pleasurable mood was thoroughly out of the window as they began to tentatively and extra carefully give you aftercare. Cleaning you up, ensuring youâd had something to eat and drink and wearing comfortable clothes. One of them continued to touch you at all times, even as you fell asleep, stroking over your back and massaging any aches and pains away.
THURSDAY
Usually, after an emotional night, youâre feeling needy, but today, youâre withdrawn, potentially experiencing a subdrop where your emotions are heightened and vulnerable.
If you thought Tuesday Steve and Bucky were constantly at your side, this took smothering to a whole new meaning. Even when going to the bathroom, one was there to ensure you were okay, to the point where you stopped answering and continued with your day. It was too much, and it wasnât like you meant to push them away, but you just needed space, a moment, a second, to catch your breath. It was like you were drowning with the want to be ok, but being constantly reminded that you werenât made it more difficult to recover.
Your friends who had children would always speak about those moments when theyâre overstimulated with touch by these kids. No matter how much they love them, it becomes too much when someone constantly needs to be on you at all times of the day. This was exactly how you felt. You love them with all your heart, but it becomes too much.
By the time the sun had set over your home, you were hardly conversing with either of your boyfriends, which had them both tense. Deep lines were imbedded between their brows; fists clenched to stop from wringing their fingers together. Some of you felt sad and guilty even for pushing them away, especially when it came to bed, and you wanted to spoon a pillow rather than one of them.Â
FRIDAY
Due to their lifestyle, there were days when they could stay at home and others when they were needed at work. Today, they were needed at work and for a change of scenery, you wanted to join them, which had never been an issue before. Especially after the last few days with your emotions all over the place, you just wanted some normality with the two men you loved.
âWait, what do you mean I have to stay here?â you ask in a state of shock, feet planted into your living room carpet.
The men share a look youâd seen multiple times this week already. Where no words are shared, but enough was said for you to read between the lines. The mafia leader stepped forward, all towering and handsome in his suit, enough to distract you momentarily. Especially as his big hands cup your face, tilting it back so that he can kiss you enough to take your breath away. As he pulls away, youâre lifting onto the tips of your toes for more.
His hands remain framing your face as he explains, âWe just think it would be best for you to stay here and get some rest, thatâs all. Thereâs also an important meeting today with some unkind people, and weâd rather you stay here where itâs safe.â
You sigh exasperatedly, holding onto his wrists to keep him in front. âBut there are always meetings with those types of people. Iâve attended many, might I remind you? Iâve rested enough this week; I want to come with you both.â
Steveâs blue eyes drill into yours as he chews on the inside of his cheek, contemplating before glancing over to his boyfriend, but itâs your turn to hold onto his face, forcing his gaze back to yours. âNo!â you snap, âDonât look at Bucky for backup. I want a genuine reason for being forced to be kept in the house. I want to stay with both of you today, and I thought thatâs what you wanted over the last few days?â
It was a low blow, and you had to refrain from cringing.
âI can stayâ, Bucky begins as you look over at him as Steveâs hands fall to his side.
âNo. Thatâs not fair. Iâve been here for four days now. Please let me come with youâ. It wasnât often you had to beg either man for anything other than during an intimate moment. They were always happy for you to do anything, especially if it meant for you to remain at their side.
However, as both of their blue eyes clash in another knowing gaze, you give up. Feeling once more vulnerable and tired. It had been an odd week, to say the least. Stepping away from them, your shoulders drop in defeat. âYou know what, Iâll just see you both when you get home. Please be safeâ. With that, you escape up the stairs with the plan to rot in bed for the remainder of the day to catch up with your emotions.
Bucky heaves a sigh as you reach the top of the stairs. A small part of you wished that seeing you this upset, they would have chased you, but this didnât happen. As the front door opens and closes, you canât help but drown in the emotions of the last few days, crying into your pillow.
Later, when they return home with bags of take-out and unharmed, useless, this would be enough to pick up your spirits. However, you arenât in the mood, unable to pull yourself out of the grump, mentally still blaming it on your impending period.
So, you ate the delicious food and climbed back into bed. It wasnât like you were going out of your way to be distant, but the rejection from earlier still hurt, so being petty, if they wanted to be without you, they could continue that way.
SATURDAY
Wake up alone, but you know theyâre somewhere still in the house. It takes you considerable time to even crawl out of bed with how groggy you feel. Youâd probably spent more time in bed this week than any other time, so you decided enough was enough. You texted your friend Laura Barton.
I havenât seen you in a while and need a distraction. Coffee date?
Five minutes passed before your phone was lighting up with a response.
Love in paradise? You know Iâm always free for you; Iâve just got to bring Nate along as no babysitter, but Iâm down!
My mindâs just all over the place, and I really need a friend, you respond immediately.
I can pick you up in 20, and weâll head to a coffee shop.
Your fingers are typing before you have a moment to think about what youâre sending, and you reply, "Thatâs if they will let me leave the house."
The three dots on your phone appear and disappear multiple times before Lauraâs text arrives. Wow, if youâre revolting against their overprotectiveness, things must be tough there. Iâll be there soon. Iâm sure if you bat your pretty lashes at them, everything will be fine.
If only you thought rather than responding and taking the next 15 minutes to prepare. After getting dressed, you feel much more motivated and in better spirits; speaking to them about leaving the house is the only issue. You just needed an hour or two away to clear your thoughts from all of the protective, macho-man bullshit that seemed to surround you on the daily.
Theyâre both working out in the gym, and for a second, you admire them, your mouth slipping open in awe. Dressed in only their gym shorts, youâre momentarily jealous of the sweat dripping down their chests, the muscles covering their bodies flexing with each movement.
âIf you want a closer look, Princess, why donât you come here?â Bucky eyes you just as hungrily as he lowers the weight, wiping a hand over his stubbled jaw.
Taking a deep breath and trying to remain on the plan, you shake your head, straightening your posture. You can do this.
âIâm going outâ, you firmly state. Usually, you ask so that they can prepare a bodyguard or security guard to patrol the area, but not today. You were a grown-ass woman who didnât need to ask.
Steve nods, moving some strays of his wet blonde hair out of his piercing eyes. âI hope itâs somewhere funâ.
Your gaze is still flicking between them, especially Bucky as he saunters over, his eyelids lowered, and he looks like an animal on the way to pouncing on his prey. Youâre like molten lava by the time heâs by your side, all but ready to jump into his arms, kissing him until youâre breathless. Your fingers slide over his firm chest, feeling his muscles, thumping heart and skimming over the scars where the metal of his arms connect with his skin.Â
You mewl pathetically as he pulls back, grinning as he realizes how needy youâve become. âIf you give us a few minutes, Sam can prepare a car.â
Sam is your trusty bodyguard and best friend, and as much as you love spending time with him, today, you didnât want to be reminded of how you always needed to be coddled.
Taking a hearty step away from him, you firmly say, âNo. I donât need Sam. Iâm just going out with Laura, and sheâs picking me up. Itâs just coffee. Iâll be fineâ. Much like the rest of the week, the atmosphere soon sours as Buckyâs grin fades until you can see his jaw tighten as he swallows.
âOk, thatâs fineâ, he begins slowly, like heâs careful with what to say. âLaura can drive you, but Samâs still coming with you, Sweetheart. Itâs too dangerous out thereâ.
A negative heat flushes through your chest as rage slowly takes over. âNo. I just need some space, I just-â. You hated how difficult it was to articulate yourself when angry. Most of the time, your instinct was to cry, but you needed to explain how you were feeling to them.
Steve enters your eyeline as he lowers his height so youâre both eye to eye. âOk, Sam wonât go.â
âBut-â Bucky tries to interrupt but stops when Steve holds up a hand to silence him.
âTake my card with you and buy yourself something nice. Have fun, baby girlâ. Youâre so shocked by Steveâs reaction that you hardly respond when his lips caress yours in a simple kiss.
âReally? Youâre letting me go like that?â you ask suspiciously.
âYeah, why wouldnât we? Weâre a team, right?â Thereâs something in how he looks at you with such uncertainty that your chest is tightening. A beat passes before your arms are locked around his neck, pulling him down to kiss him slowly and deeply. Savour the touch of his stubble against your cheeks, the softness of his tongue. Youâre relieved when his fingers dig into your waist, holding on with just as much eagerness.
Your phone vibrates in your back pocket. The reminder that Laura has probably arrived outside has you taking a step back, licking your lips while looking down. Your fingertips slip over his abs, which flex as you touch them.
âIâll see you both later, love youâ Quickly pecking Bucky, you turn and leave the gym, tickling under Dodgerâs chin as Steve and Bucky simultaneously shout âLove youâ back.
Sitting with a coffee that probably had a week's worth of caffeine and a cake the size of your head, you could finally go into detail about what was happening with Laura.
âSo after all that, they really let you come out with no security? Iâve never seen that happen beforeâ, your friend muses whilst sipping her drink and trying to entertain her toddler, Nate.
âI guess not that Iâm going to complain about it. Feels rebellious to be out here by myselfâ.Â
The time passed, and it was relieving to catch up with her, definitely needed someone to validate your feelings. You still absolutely loved them and appreciated everything they did for you, but you were smothered over the last few days.
Just as youâd taken another sip of your coffee, the fine hairs on your neck rose as you felt like someone was watching you. Keeping the coffee at your lips, your eyes darted, looking out the window to the street and the patrons in the coffee shop when you saw them. Both of them.
Sensing your change in demeanour, Laura frowns as she looks at you. âWhat is it?â She looks around the room, and it takes seconds before she chuckles. âYouâre joking, right? Did they really think a baseball hat and aviator sunglasses would be a good enough disguise?â
The fury that had first hit you when spotting Steve and Bucky soon turned to sadness. It was like they didnât trust you at all, feeling overwhelmed by them. Initially, you wanted to confront them, but there was no point; you just wanted to escape and go to your safe space.
âCan you take me home, please?â you quietly ask Laura, pushing away the rest of your coffee.
You try to ignore your friend's sad look as she leans across the table to hold the back of your hand. âHoney, Iâm sure theyâre just trying to look out for youâ.
âYes, I know, they just could have told me. It makes me feel incompetent when they sneak around behind my back.â
âItâs not that, you know itâs dangerous to be dating them-â
âYes, I know. Please, can we just goâ. You didnât mean to snap at her, and it was clear she didnât seem offended as she packed up her belongings and rested Nate on her hip.
Standing, you walk without stopping towards the exit, conveniently where your boyfriends are sitting. Out of the corner of your eye, they both stand, and Bucky tries to reach for you.
âJust listen, we can explain why weâre hereâ.
You donât stop. Even as the tears begin to fall and you see the visible flinch from Bucky, you donât stop.
Laura tried to comfort you in the car, but it was useless. Youâre home with a brief goodbye to your friend. Weaving past the security to the entrance to your home, you finally are at your front door.
By the time Steve and Bucky return, youâre upstairs, changing into your pjâs with a tub of ice cream and Dodger at your side. âBaby, where are you?â You donât answer, but it doesnât matter as in a matter of seconds, Steve is standing at your bedroom door, breathless and clearly distraught. âJust give us a minute to explain. Itâs too dangerous to be out by yourself. We didnât want to make you feel crowded by having someone at your side, but you need someone close just in caseâ.
Allowing him to speak, youâre too much of a coward to face him, turning away as the tears continue to fall and soak your clothing. âMmm hmm, I understandâ. You feel drained of energy, and the caffeine from earlier has no effect. Moving towards your bedside cabinet, you unplug your phone charger, collect your phone and ice cream, and bundle the fluffy decorative blanket from the bed.
âWhere are you going?â Bucky now asks where he appears at Steveâs side, appearing just as concerned as his boyfriend, with the hat and sunglasses gone.
âThe spare roomâ.
You can hear the audible breath that your boyfriends suck in. It took everything in you not to change your mind immediately. It hurt them, but they also hurt you this week. It wasnât like you were gathering all your stuff and going to stay in a hotel; it was only across the hall for the rest of the day.
It was just a break, a place to cry without having someone watching and then consequently feeling guilty for having emotions.
One of them begs, âWhy are you going there? Just let us talk,â but youâre done.
âI donât want to talkâ Your bottom lip wobbles as you hold back the sobs, threatening to burst free.
Bucky steps forward, whose metal hands are cupping the point of your chin to tilt your face up to his, âDonât stay in the spare bedroom; if you donât want to sleep with us, weâll stay on the couch. Just give us a minute, pleaseâ.
Trying to ignore the pleading in his tone, you shake your head, not trusting yourself to talk. Walking around them, they let you walk past, and no word is shared as you walk across the hall to the spare room.
Locking the door, you can just turn the TV on before releasing the pent-up sob youâd held in. Nearly the entire tub of ice cream has been emotionally eaten, and eyes are sore from the crying. It also felt soul-soothing to get all your emotions out, and by the time hours passed, you were ready to speak to them both, except for one long blink, which turned into a full sleep.
SUNDAY
There was no sense of time when you began to stir, only aware that the room was mainly cast into darkness except for the glow from the TV that was still playing whatever trash TV show youâd picked on Netflix.
Youâre so incredibly comfortable you have to hold back a groan of pleasure with how content youâre feeling. It was like you were in a cocoon of warmth and contentment as you nuzzled further into the firm yet soft heat beneath your cheek as the bubble surrounding you tightened.
Thump thump. Thump thump. The therapeutic beat against your cheek was something you had already memorised in your dreams.
All the memories came flooding back. The crying, the argument, the locked door, the ice cream and more crying. The locked door. Something you specifically remember doing, yet somehow, youâre wrapped in a boyfriend sandwich, and youâre pretty sure the heavy weight across your feet is Dodger.
In truth, you were happy to be there and had planned to speak to them before your eyes had closed. Youâd never fallen asleep during an argument before; it felt unhealthy in a relationship to do, and god knows how stressed Steve and Bucky must have been.
Snuggling closer to Steveâs chest with your back pressed against Buckyâs, you finally feel content after a week of wobbly emotions. Youâre sure you need to speak with a therapist or something with how up and down youâve been all week. You didnât want to move from this spot ever again.
However, the urgency and pain radiating from your bladder had you cursing. Carefully and with great difficulty, you can wiggle out of your beefy cuddle and sneak to the toilet with Dodger following closely at your side. On the way, youâre able to see the door knob to the room has been shaped like it has been gripped, assuming that Buckyâs metal hand was behind the breaking into the room whilst youâre asleep.
Once in the bathroom, you take in your dishevelled look, showering, freshening up, rebandaging your hand, and dressing in one of Steveâs comfortable jumpers. On your way back to the boys, you pause, overhearing them awake and whispering.
âI told you we shouldnât have broken inâ, Steve groans frustratedly.
âYeah, well, Iâm not sleeping without herâ, Bucky argues, his voice crackling lowly from where heâd just woken up.
Thereâs a momentary pause, and youâre about to go in when they continue. âYou donât think weâve pushed her too far, do you?â Bucky asks.
âYou tell me. Sheâs not in here now. Sheâs kept up at arm's length for days. I feel like I canât do anything right. I just want to keep her safe, but I feel like weâre losing herâ.
Broken. Thatâs how they both sounded, and you have done this. Your eyes sting as they, once again, well with tears, and you move back into the room, pulling the sleeves of your jumper down over your hands to wipe away the moisture.
âIâm sorry I made you both feel this wayâ.
Strong arms wrap around your body, cradling you carefully against their body as youâre moved to sit across Steveâs lap, and Bucky takes your feet into his lap so that you are facing one another. âI love you both. I donât know whatâs wrong with me. I donât know whether itâs my impending period thatâs finding everything too overwhelming. Iâm sorry!â
Youâre hysterical as they both attempt to ground you with soothing shushes and strokes of their hands over your back and legs. âSweetheart, itâs okâ.
âNo, itâs not okay! " Reaching up, you take Steveâs face in your palms and say, âI love you! I would never leave you. EVER!â Next, you hold onto Bucky, half crawling fully into his lap to get your point across: âI love you so much; Iâm sorry I wasnât there to fall asleep in your arms.â
âHey, hey, calm down, Mama. Iâve got you, weâve both got you. We arenât going anywhereâ.Â
Eventually, you can calm down enough, cuddled up against Bucky with Steve massaging the souls of your feet. You all discuss everything from feeling smothered by them to your up and down moods, feeling incompetent, and yet understanding why they are the way they are to keep you safe. It was like the world had tilted back to the right way up. Boundaries are set, so some understanding will be shared if you ever feel overwhelmed again.
âWe just need you to know that weâre never going to stop protecting you until our last fucking breathâ, Bucky promises as he kisses your temple.
âGood thing neither of you is going anywhere. Did you really think Iâd ever leave either of you? Do I need to remind you of the hell hole you saved me from all those years ago?â
âYes, and youâll never have to live like that again. Youâre mine and Buckyâs. No one will touch you againâ.
If only Steve knew what was to come.
It was the early morning hours after your long chat, but it was late enough for Steve and Bucky to forgo sleeping and head to the office. Having a couple more hours of sleep after they left, you were fresh and ready to go by the time Sam was knocking on your front door.
It had been a long week, so you surprised your bodyguard by hugging him. âDid they tell you about my week?â you ask, needing to know if Sam had been updated about everything from your boyfriends.
âI don't know what you meanâ Judging by his tone, he damn well knew what had happened, but nonetheless, his arms tightened around you, âas much as I love your company, the bosses will kill me for touching youâ.
You pull back, alarmed to see him trying and failing to hide the smile on his face. Rolling your eyes at his jokes playfully, you climb into the waiting SUV.
âJust a warning, boss lady. Thereâs a meeting being held over the next 10 minutes,â Sam explains as he pulls into the parking lot that opens into the warehouse.
âOh? Do you know who it is with?â
Sam shrugs, helping you out of the car whilst looking around at the chaos surrounding him as men and women rush around the crates and trucks. âSome hotshot guy who owns a couple of clubs wants to have the protection of the Rogers team so he can run his underground market. HEY! Thatâs not supposed to be in that shipment, you dickwad! Sorry, do you mind if I go kick their heads in?â
You know heâs joking, but he nods, grinning as Sam, the group's mother hen, rushes toward the offending truck. âGood luck! Iâm going to head to the office. Iâm sure the meeting will be over soon.â
Lost in your daydream world, youâre half paying attention as the elevator arrives at the corridor leading to the office. Stepping out and into the elevator, expecting it to be empty but stopping short when, you find a man leaning against the wall, staring at his phone.
The walls felt as if they were caving in. Everything, including your breath and heart, pauses momentarily as you know who it is. Youâd know him from his voice, aftershave, and grimy hands. He was one of the many that plagued your nightmares from a past you were trying to forget. No happiness existed when your brother controlled every aspect of your miserable life until Steve bulldozed his way into it.Â
Ralph Pannone, the man before you, was one of the highest individuals in your brother's gang, but over the last few months before it all came crashing down - thanks to the Rogers mafia - he had been missing on a job. It had been a relief, if not a blessing, those weeks without him and the years that followed, and itâs easy to think youâre safe from those past demons when they donât haunt you in reality.
The wolf tattooed on his throat is ingrained into your mind. The silver of his fingers glinted in the dimmed light that was shockingly cool against your skin from all the times he had inappropriately touched your face.
Later in therapy, you would talk about your instinct to freeze when in a shocking, fearful situation. For example, on Monday, when your palm was accidentally cut, and today, staring at one of Hellâs workers in your safe space, all you could do was freeze.
He must have smelt your fear because his face slowly turned to yours, his typical devilish smirk causing your knees to shake. You wanted to scream. Scream for help for Steve and Bucky to save you.
âI was saddened to see my little kitten wasnât on her knees and waiting for me in that meeting like I thought she would be. But, it appears she wants her own personal meetingâ. Heâs now walking towards you, and thereâs nothing you can do except tremble with fear.
Kitten. That nickname that always had you flinching. It was his favourite thing to call you. Heâd say itâs because youâre soft and cut, and whenever he decided he had the right to touch your face, you would swat him away with your âsharp little clawsâ. He was degrading, misogynistic and utterly terrifying.
The tip of his boots brushes against the front of your shoes as you breathe in his nauseating aftershave. âCome on, kitten, cat got your tongue? Itâs funny how your brother gave you everything, but it wasnât enough, was it? You still had to have my BEST friend killed and sleep your way to the top of Brooklyn.â
You finally have a visible response when you flinch away, staring at the floor as you struggle to catch your breath at his derogatory words. Your throat burns with the threat of vomiting as his fingers graze against your forehead, brushing aside a strand of hair until it's tucked behind your ear.
Leaning even closer until his lips are close to his fingers around the shell of your ear, he whispers, âDonât worry, my sweet kitten. Youâre going to be mine soon. These pretend soldiers arenât going to stop me from getting whatâs mine.â
And then heâs gone.
Like that, your world is once again tilted on its axisâthe safety net youâd been cocooned in, shattering into dust. Time doesnât seem to exist when youâre in this state of shock as the next minutes or hours flash by in brief glimpses.
Lying on the floor of the corridor, high-pitched ringing in your ears.
Samâs face hovered above your own as he shouted, but you couldnât hear what he said as the world felt muffled. All you could tell was that he was conflicted between being scared and furious.
Now youâre in the office, specifically Steveâs personal office on the couch, your head in Buckyâs lap as Steve paced a hole into the carpet.
Natasha was here, by your side, talking lowly to you. It feels like youâre responding, but you canât be sure. It was like your body was in a weird limbo of sorts.
Home. At last, you were home, in your bed, with Doctor Banner lightly touching your wrist with his eyes closed. He was counting, you thought, and as he finished and glanced up at your face, he was happy to see you were awake. A bright light flashed in your eyes as you flinched away, trying to shield yourself.
âIâm glad youâre back with us.â
âWhat happened?â you croaked from the dryness in your throat as you tried to sit up.
âCareful, hereâs some water. It appears that you had a panic attack and fainted. Luckily, there doesnât seem to be any head injuries or lasting injuries. Maybe a bruises here and there. Do you remember what happened? What was the last thing you remember?â
Ralph.
The next thing you know, youâre breathing into a paper bag as the Doctor rubs slow circles over your shoulders, trying to reassure you to breathe slowly. It took a few minutes to calm down before you could ask, âBucky, Steve, please, I need to see themâ.
âOf course, Iâll go right and get them. Iâm on call tonight, so please donât hesitate to get them to phone me if you need anythingâ. Youâre hardly paying attention as he leaves, and suddenly, youâre first welcomed by a lick on the face by an excited Dodger and arms around your waist and back as Steve and Bucky are finally at your side.
They all hold you as you cry, not a single tear reaching your shirt as either Dodger licks them away or Steve and Bucky wipe them with their fingers.
âIâm not expecting you to explain what has happened, and I have never been more scared than seeing you on the floor, barely conscious, without an obvious reason for it. I want you to know youâre safe, and the threat has been eliminatedâ.
Turning towards Steve, you give him a questioning look so he continues explaining. âWe watched the security camera from the corridor. He saw what he did, and we heard what that scumbag said to you. For some reason, a background check wasnât completed on him so he could weasel his way into a meeting with us. We found plenty of evidence of his involvement in your brother's gang.â Steve has to take a deep breath as his anger increases again, his jaw tight.
Bucky, therefore, continues, but you can tell by the venom in his voice that his anger is just as severe as his boyfriend's. âIt took me minutes to track him down whilst Natasha and Sam stayed by your side. We wanted to stay, but we needed to be the ones to end that fuckers life. I wanted to see the light leave his eyesâ.
âTo be honest, we killed him too quickly. I wanted to inflict as much pain mentally as he had done to you, but know that he died screaming and begging for his lifeâ.Â
Steve and Bucky held no remorse when he came to you. This was the life they lived, the protection they offered for someone they loved.
Appreciation and regret are the two words spiralling through your thoughts. Appreciation for them both, for everything theyâve ever given for you and regret for how youâve overreacted this week. Yes, you were human; it was expected to have ups and downs days, but right now, there was nothing more you wanted than to show how much you loved them right back.
You were done being the victim.
Youâre in Steveâs, thighs burning from the stretch of straddling over his, your fingers desperately clutching into his blonde hair, pulling onto it and drawing his face towards yours. You feel his body tense and then wholly break. Warm hands grip your waist, dominantly tugging your body closer until you flush against him.
âDodger, go to bed, buddy,â Bucky instructs, clicking towards the door. The good boy that he is, your baby strolls out of the room to his bed downstairs.Â
Your hands are all over Steve, combing through his locks, to the stubble on his cheeks, to the muscles over his shoulders. You needed to feel all of him, the softness of his skin, the power in his legs, the hardness of his cock.
âMore, I need moreâ, you beg against his lips whilst trying to undo the buttons of his shirt.
âWoah, ok, hold on a momentâ, Steve urges gently whilst cupping both of your hands away from his chest. âI think we need to walk about this. Youâve been through a lot, and I just need to ensure youâre alrightâ.Â
âI can and will talk about this, but not right now. I need a distraction, and I need you to remind me that everything is alright. I need you to remind me that I am yours, and you are both mine, and no one will change that!â
âDamn right, youâre oursâ, Bucky growls possessively, tugging on the strands of hair at the nape of your neck, angling your head back and devouring your mouth. At the same time, Steveâs on your throat, leaving open-mouthed kisses and nippin' in the sensitive spots. Your hips instinctively grind against Steveâs crotch, needing pressure and stimulation to your pussy.
Youâre rewarded with the outline of Steveâs cock, hard and squished within the confines of his suit trousers. Buckyâs tongue enters your mouth, and he groans at your taste, his sharp teeth catching your lower lip and soothing the bites with more kisses.
âNeed this off!â Steve demands as he roughly grabs the hem of your shirt, tearing it down the middle and discarding the pieces across the room. His mouth is then attached to the swell of your breasts, sucking until pain and pleasure pulses in the areas. With a simple snap of his fingers, the clasp of your bra is the next to be removed.
Topless, his bare hands are finally able to cup your breasts, his thumbs pressing on your hardened nipples. âThese are mineâ, he speaks against your skin before sucking a nipple into his mouth, pulsing the sensitive area until youâre crying out his name against Buckyâs lips.
Your panties feel uncomfortable and restrictive with how warm and wet you are between your legs. However, your needs are the last thing on your mind right now as you need to please your boyfriends and show them your appreciation.
Reaching between your bodies, your fingers press against the swell in Steveâs crotch, massaging the throbbing erection until heâs bucking into your palm. Undoing his buckle and zipper, youâre able to free his cock, moving your tight fist up and down his length as he groans hungrily against your breasts.
With unsteady legs, you climb off Steveâs lap and lower to your knees on the carpet; however, his hands pull up against your arms, stopping your movement. âNo, this is supposed to be about youâ.
Shaking your head with a reassuring smile, you move back to your knees, massaging your hands up Steveâs thigh. âNo, actually. Itâs supposed to be about all of us. Now, please, let me suck your cock, sirâ.
The name works wonders as his cock visibly throbs against his abdomen, and his eyes darken as he licks his lips. To his side, Bucky pulls off his shirt, muscles flexing as he does so, and you continue with your plan for the rest of the evening. âI want to take you both at the same time. So why donât you help me, sir?â youâre looking directly at Bucky now, who grins in response.
âFuck yes, Dollâ.
He helps to take off the remainder of your clothes until youâre left kneeling, back arches and ass perked up with Bucky behind you, his hands massaging your ass cheeks.
âI want your pretty little mouth on Steveâs cock whilst I make you cum. Do you think you can do that for me, Princess?â Bucky asks whilst kissing up the length of your spine.
You donât need to verbally answer him as your mouth is instantly on the blondeâs cock, teasing at first with licks around the sensitive head before wrapping your lips around the thickness and sucking inches of it back into your mouth. Youâre welcomed with a sinful gasp from the man who spreads his legs further, giving you more room to settle between them, his big hands resting on the back of your head.
Bucky watched whilst removing the rest of his clothes before delving into his own personal feast. Growling with hunger as he spreads your cheeks and licks from your clit up to your puckered back hole. Your body reacts by pushing back into his face as his tongue slips into your pussy, slurping all your juices lewdly.
His tongue played special treats against your clit, circling, sucking, pulsing whilst his finger dipped into your asshole. He knew exactly how to get you worked up as he used your wetness to lube one finger, then two, gently easing in and out, trying to stretch the area for his cock. It burned, but it was a delicious pain youâd hoped for when asking him to complete the task.
Just as he had three fingers penetrating your hole, your orgasm burst in pleasurable, mind-numbing waves as your pussy squeezed his tongue desperately. Your moan also caused your mouth to vibrate around Steveâs cock as he verbally coached you through your pleasure.
âThatâs it, cum around Buckyâs tongue. Taking his fingers so well, arenât you, baby girl? Youâre made for us.â
Nodding with his cock still in your mouth, youâre suddenly pulled off by the hand on the back of your head as Steve leans down to heavily make out with you, not caring that your mouth had just been on his cock. âI need to taste youâ, he demands against your mouth, and within seconds, youâre led out over the bed.
His head dips between your thighs, his mouth hungrily eating and sucking away as your back arches, fingers and nails desperately clawing into his hair. âYes! Sir! Oh my god!â
âDamn right, Iâm your god nowâ, he spoke the words against your clit. Your mind was rushing with the need to agree verbally and yet desperately hold on to his hair.
A cool hand cups your cheek as Bucky tilts your face in his direction, and you open your mouth, accepting his cock as you had done with Steveâs. Bucky isnât as demanding as heâs fucking your mouth as he rolls his hips carefully so that heâs slowly fucking your throat.
It takes almost no time at all before thereâs overwhelming tightness between your legs like everything down there is going to explode. Pulling away from Buckyâs cock, you cry out, âI canât- itâs too much!â
âYes, you can. Come for us, Baby,â Steve encouraged as he slipped two fingers into your wet pussy, curling them to hit that perfect spot within. That was all you needed to both cum and relax all your muscles between your legs, and without shame, you could feel the bed soaking beneath you as Steve and Bucky cheered you on, âThatâs it, squirt for us! Damn, youâre so beautifulâ.
The breath is knocked out of you by the time the waves of pleasure have subsided. However, your arousal is still at a ten as Steveâs arms circle beneath your body, and youâre now koalaed around him. Arms around his shoulders and ankles crossed behind his back.
âSteve!â your head tips back as the thick length of him slowly enters your pussy. No matter the number of times the two of you fucked, there was never a time when you werenât shocked by how full you felt with him inside of you.
âFeels so good to be inside of you. Do you think you can still take Buck?â
âYes, please, sir, I need you both inside of meâ.
The warmth of Buckyâs chest finally surrounds your spine as he kisses the junction between your shoulder and neck. âEasy there, got to be careful when slipping this big dick in this tight little hole back hereâ, Bucky teases as you feel the head of his cock pressing against your asshole.
Your head tips back and rests on his shoulder, mouth gaping open with a constant string of curses and pleads. Much like with his fingers, the initial burn mixing with the pleasure is the perfect mix as the head of his cock gently breaches your warmth.
âYouâre so fucking wet and tightâ, Bucky moans against your neck as you take inch after inch of him until youâre stretched and full of them both.
The first orgasm with both of them fucking you at the same time is enough to nearly have you passing out again as you continue to squirt until thereâs a small puddle on the floor.
The second orgasm has every nerve in your body feel as if itâs burning with pleasure. Youâre entirely limp in their arms, but theyâre holding you up with firm hands on your thighs and waist. By the third orgasm, you were hardly coherent as both men finally joined you in that blissful state, their cum filling your used holes and dripping into the puddle below.
It was hard for you to stay awake as they carefully cleaned you with warm wash clothes and fresh clothing. Youâre thoroughly wrapped in their arms as the three of you settle into the centre of the bed.
âIâm so happy to be yoursâ, you admit tiredly before sleep takes you.

OMG IT HAPPENED??? 300 FOLLOWERS?? I know Iâve been joking about hitting it but I genuinely canât believe it like: you all like my shenanigans? truly? Thatâs incredible.
Itâs kind of awesome that I hit this on new yearâs (for me at least) so let me just take a moment to thank everyone whoâs been so cool and supportive. Iâve been having a ton of fun sharing my little projects and interacting with everyone đ This is my first time truly engaging in fandom because Iâve been too anxious and depressed previouslyâIâm so happy I finally started putting myself out there.
ANYWAYS, DONE WITH THE SAPPY STUFF NOW. Itâs time for the thing youâre actually here for!! Iâve put a TON of work into it so I really hope people enjoy this silly little event.
Everendâs Cove: Moonlight Song
Every year, Arlo Wakeâs hometown holds a Moonlight Festivalâin honor of the connection between the moon and the ocean, and the deep ties it has to certain merfolk cultures. This festival is held in many parts of the Coral Sea, but is specifically popular in Everend Cove for its special tradition of holding a singing competition in honor of one of the townâs myths.
As the myth goes, a group of sirens once fell in love with a human boyâso much so that in a selfless act, they saved the boyâs friend from drowning, a young girl whom he was in love with. The competition honors the spirit of love and selflessness, and the nature of the sirens.
Much to Arloâs horror, his siblings have signed him up for the Moonlight Song competition this year. Thereâs no way heâs going alone, though. If he has to sing, then heâs forcing some of his classmates to come with himâthat way, the attention wonât be fully on him.
Dress Code:
Arlo Wakeâs parents are skilled potion masters by trade, and theyâve devised a special, experimental potion this year to turn tourists into merfolk temporarily! It might have a few side effects, but they assure youâany harm the potion causes will be thoroughly compensated!
If you donât want to risk the potion, thereâs always some traditional attire the festival provides. Everend Cove is a joint merfolk and human town, based right around an island, so thereâs plenty of things to do both on land and in the sea! The important part of the Moonlight Festival is that you are adorned with sparkling stones and crystals. The more glamorous and mesmerizing the outfit, the better!
For better reference, here are some inspiration boards, and some concept art of possible outfits:

Rules:
itâs not at all necessary to be following me to participate in this event! ANYONE is welcome to join!
Any type of entry is welcome: cards, general art, edits, fics, anything!

If you WOULD like your oc to interact with Arlo, feel free! You have my permission.
You can draw/write for your own character OR a canon character, whatever you want <3 there are âofficialâ participants, but this is all for fun, so itâs not necessary to stick to those.

As someone who's been secretly teetering around the SAGAU (that's "Self-Aware Genshin AU" for those who aren't aware đ„) tag and works while thoroughly enjoying a lot of them, I think today's finally the day I put my own two cents in on it. Particularly, my two cents about how a certain redheaded owl stud would act in that verse. By all means, no hate to anybody who's written him any differently in their SAGAU stuff-- we're all here to have fun and junk; this is just how I personally think he'd be. You are free to disagree with any and everything I have to say under the cut, but I will have no badmouthing or the like.
Being perfectly honest, I haven't really seen much of Diluc in a ton of SAGAU works outside of him either being part of the "get the 'Imposter'" mob or individually attacking us if he comes across us solo and isn't in the know that we the reader are the real deal. Basically, he's more or less just kinda lumped in with the other highly devoted followers of the Creator without really standing out much in the plot. And, nothing particularly wrong with that, no, no, no, but here's where my hee-ho funny hot take comes in:
I don't actually think Diluc would really worship the Creator. In fact, I don't think he'd even like us at first. *Sojiro voice* Let me explain!
Diluc Ragnvindr is, in every sense of the word, a disenchanted young man. Now, we know he wasn't born as such, but we have the Knights of Favonius disgracing Crepus' death while the wound was still fresh and the falling out between Diluc and Kaeya upon the latter's revelation as a Khaenri'ahn spy to blame for that. Blah, blah, blah, that's right, we heard the story, over and over again, so, where does this tie into my personal interpretation of his thoughts on the Creator, you may ask? Well!
In the happier, more idealistic years before all hell broke loose on his 18th birthday, Diluc most likely did worship and revere the Creator per his upbringing since I think Crepus also worshipped them like a good chunk of Mondstadt does. No problems there. But, where was the "all-powerful, ever-benevolent" God of Teyvat when he'd lost his father and brother on that same, horrible night in different ways? What did they do when the Knights of Favonius openly spat on his father's name just to save their undeserved reputation? What did they give him during that four-year suicide mission he spent indiscriminately hunting Fatui agents before promptly getting the ban of a lifetime from the entire Nation of Cryo?
Nowhere, nothing, and radio silence.
Just another unreliable let-down added to the list, and another knife to his back.
(Imposter AU-wise) So, come present day, when the Great Big Phonyâą drops and takes a throne that very much does not belong to them, everybody's over the moon and pulling out all the stops for their beloved God... except Diluc. Now, he's not so stupid that he openly badmouths the apparent Creator since that would get him some pretty unpleasant looks and land him in rather hot water, so instead, he shows no open reaction while rolling his eyes and scoffing at them wherever people can't see or hear. And, if we're going with the traditional portrayal of the Imposter being an uncaring tyrant, his already diminished opinion of the Creator's image is only further soured. He does nothing to damper or criticize anybody's faith since it's far from his place to, but they certainly won't see him joining in any day of the week, either.
And then comes the "Imposter", who's actually the true Creator that's been jiffy-popped into Genshin's world from the real one. Now, while he thinks it's beyond ridiculous that the people of Mondstadt and the Knights of Favonius (though, not as much surprise for the latter-- always so inefficient...) find it just to hunt down and torture somebody solely for looking like the Creator especially since nobody in town gives a shit that Venti and Barbatos look disturbingly alike for reasons only he (plus Jean and maybe Kaeya, if his Hangout implies anything) knows without actually presenting themselves as an active threat to humanity like, say, the Abyss Order or the Fatui, Diluc still can't help but secretly hand it to the alleged Imposter for being the first to have the guts to knock that "divine do-nothing" down a peg in some way, even if it is considered quite the risky move.
Should he encounter us while we're running for our lives worse for the wear for the above reason (and truly confirming that we mean no real harm and are just a victim of very unfortunate circumstance), Diluc is open to helping us get away safely under the radar and giving false info to the KoF like he did in his Story Quest since getting caught helping Teyvat's most wanted by the mob would not end well for him, either. And, he's pretty amicable when patching us up... but then he sees the dried gold blood and scars all over our body and realizes exactly who we really are. No, he doesn't do a full 180 and start blastin', but Diluc sure is now a lot colder towards us than he already is in general. Still helps us out, but we can taste the sudden mood drop. At some point, we discover his resent towards us for (from his perspective; can't exactly explain that we didn't actually make any of the characters' backstories since we're not HoYoverse and whatnot bc that wouldn't make sense to anyone in Genshin within the confines of the Creator!Reader AU without us sounding completely crazy) being seemingly nowhere to be seen around his and others' suffering despite being the God of All Gods capable of doing literally anything to help it, but simply choosing not to. Even if the Reader rightfully says they didn't do anything, Diluc's cold rebuttal is something along the lines of "No. You didn't.", and it's not the least bit reassuring.
If he were to stick around with us a bit longer during our escape from Mondstadt/whirlwind journey, then Diluc would come to understand that we really weren't as in control of everything bad happening to him or the world as he initially believed, especially if in his misguided blaming, it causes Reader to develop one HELL of a guilt complex feeling like they are responsible for fixing everything if it means putting an end to all the nonsense and abuse some of their once-beloved characters/acolytes are putting them through. Granted, the actual Imposter does have to be stopped and dethroned for all the shit they're pulling, but that's really all that falls on us as the unfortunate hero.
Other than that condition, though, we basically have someone that's thankfully not looking to hunt us down for absurd reasons and even helps us in our need, but at the same time curses us for letting him and many others down by not acting in some way when it mattered most.

Sunsets and footballers (Part 64)
Lucy Bronze x Reader (54) / Alexia Putellas x Character (23)
Masterlist (other parts here)
((**4.5k**))
Ridley POV
âSheâs handled this very, very well.â Ridley murmured to Lucy.
Lucy nodded, looking so fatigued it was almost comical. âShe and Joe were up all night doing crisis management.â
âYou as well it seems?â
âShe made me get some sleep for the game. I think I managed a few hours.â
Theyâd just arrived and were standing in the kitchen area, watching Blue on the phone again, giving another interview. Sheâd released a video stating that JK Rowling was in no way involved with the company, and the way she said it was impressive to Ridley because it was almost toying with Mark. Anyone who watched would have absolutely believed her when she almost mockingly denied the rumours with a virtually stress-free and amused demeanour. On top of that, her boss had somehow managed to get JK Rowling to post a video statement saying she was not involved, and that a year ago she remembered having accepted and agreed to the request that this new company also be allowed to be named Lumos. Mark was officially looking like a twat. But even more interestingly, it made Ridley wonder who this obviously rich and influential âJoeâ actually was.
Ridley watched Blue proudly as she expertly navigated her way through the drama. Sheâd always been great with people.
âI figured since you look like someone fed you after midnight.â
Lucy scoffed, her eyes moving from Blue to the food the pair had brought over, and back. She couldnât help but shake her head and smirk at the sound of Lucyâs stomach grumbling. Blue must have heard too because she looked over and gestured for her to start eating without her. Lucy shook her head and crossed her arms. It appeared Lucy had her priorities straight which satisfied Ridley.
She looked down at Chiquito who was being vetted thoroughly by Narla, and her heart string tugged watching him sit patiently waiting, his tail curled around his body and resting atop his paws. He slow blinked at her a few times before his attention turned behind Ridley, and thatâs when she realised that Alexia had been far, far too quiet during the whole exchange which alerted Ridley to her intentions. She heard Alexia before she saw her and as she went to attack, Ridley spun and ducked, her arm going around her neck in a chokehold. She pressed her body up against her back, enjoying the feel of her ass against her core and murmured in her ear. âNice try, la Reina, but youâre too predictable.â
Alexia fought against her until she let her go and turned with a frustrated expression that Ridley enjoyed far too much. Sheâd been teaching her self-defence all morning and Alexia now seemed to have a new hobby of trying to catch her off guard. It hadnât been successful thus far, though Ridley had been enjoying this new, playful side to her. âHow?!â
âYou were too quiet. And then too loud right before you went for it. And then then there was Chiquito.â She reached out and patted her cheek. âWeâll get you there, kid.â
Alexia smacked her hand away and Ridley couldnât help but smirk. She loved how independent she was. The pair had also gotten a lot closer recently as they were enjoying building their friendship amongst the feelings. The strength it had taken Ridley thus far to not act on her almost-paralysing attraction to her had been the farthest sheâd ever tested her discipline.
âHey Riddles.â
Ridley looked over at her Blue who was now off the phone and smiling at her. She walked over and leapt over the couch, ducking to kiss her cheek.
âHey baby Blue. You look happy.â
âAll heâs done is give us a whole lot of promotion. And with JKâs statement⊠this is just great. Iâm hoping to put out the promo today for Alexiaâs interview to ride that popularity wave.â
âGreat idea.â
That was another one of the reasons they were there. Alexia was going to review the interview and say if she was happy for it to be published.
âIâll show you over lunch Alexia, just to make sure youâre happy with it and we can make any changes you want.â She smiled at the Spaniard as Lucy reached over the back of the couch to give her girlfriend some love.
âThank you.â Alexia replied as she sat on the couch near Blue. Hearing her speak in English always did something to Ridley.
âLuce, you should have started eating, your stomach is so loud that it almost interrupted the interview,â Blue laughed as she held her head close to her cheek with her good arm.
âI wanted to wait for you,â Lucy murmured in response with a kiss on the cheek.
They both looked tired â Blue more so of course, and so Alexia and Ridley had thought it would be a good idea to bring lunch over before the girls went to the game. However as she watched them, Ridley grew suspicious and her eyebrows frowned.
âWhatâs wrong with you?â
âYou two.â
They both looked amusedly confused.
âYou two have been having sex. And now that I think about it, it even smells like sex in here. The fuck are you doing, Bronze?â
The pair looked sheepishly guilty.
âWhat are you, a sex sniffer dog?â
âPlease tell me it was just once.â
Their expressions didnât change.
âSheâs a fucking walking bruise!â
âTo be fair⊠my bruises are healing really well nowâŠâ
âYou know what I mean. You have more breaks than a Kit-Kat Blue - you need to be careful.â
âWe are. Very careful, arenât we?â She turned her head slightly to look at Lucy. âAnd very creative.â
âArgh.â Ridley reacted disgustedly before tilting her head as she looked over Blueâs bandaged body. âActually, the logistics would be funâŠâ
âRight?!â Lucy agreed.
Ridley scoured. âIâm still disappointed in you two.â
Blue shrugged and winced hard at her collarbone, Ridleyâs stomach dropping as she did so. âAs long as weâre happy. And to defend Lucy, it took a lot of convincing to-â
âPlease donât finish that sentence.â
Blue grinned and Ridley couldnât help but smirk in response. She was happy. So, so happy and Ridley loved that. And the way Lucy looked at her⊠like she was her entire world.
Ridley looked over to Alexia who now held Chiquito in her lap, studying the pair and must have had the same thought as her eyes met Ridleyâs.
Ridley had never wanted somebody so bad in her life. God, she was beautiful. Sheâd fallen asleep on her shoulder last night, her body twitching until she was fast asleep and breathing deep, sleepy breaths. The footballer had naturally cuddled her body to her own and it made her feel⊠a lot. And something she wasnât ready to name just yet. Ridley had spent a good amount of time just studying her as she slept and eventually, sheâd let herself fall asleep with her head on her own.
Ridley hadnât slept that well in a long time. She was grateful that Alexia had used that favour because she couldnât even admit to herself how much sheâd wanted to stay. And then there had been the morning. Ridley had waited for her to wake, slowly twitching and coming back to life. Sheâd been apologetic for falling asleep on her, yet they both knew she didnât mean it, and that Ridley hadnât minded. It had changed something in her, just knowing that she was there next to her and safe, happy and comfortable. It took away that feeling of almost stress that she experienced as she lay in her hotel room staring at the ceiling and wondering if Alexia were feeling those things.
Theyâd spent the morning working out as it was an important part of their lives, and then another hour or so on the gym mat practicing self-defence. It had only been the basics, but the both of them had enjoyed being so close to each other, their sweaty bodies moving against one another as theyâd tussled on the mat. There were multiple time when theyâd moved or ground not because they had to, but because they had an excuse to feel each other like that. There was only one point where Alexia had almost gotten the upper hand, and that was because sheâd distracted Ridley with a look of lust she failed to hide.
Lucyâs stomach interrupted her thoughts.
She looked over at Blue chuckling and reaching back to stroke Lucyâs belly. âThanks for bringing lunch, guys. What did you end up bringing?â
âSushi.â
âOhh Iâve been craving that!â
âYouâve been craving everything, Luce.â
Lucy came around the couch to pick up Blue and move her to the kitchen table. âAle, Iâll set you up with my laptop so you can watch now if you want?â
She watched a happy smile form on Alexiaâs face at the shortening of her name. Her stomach felt strange in a good way. Blue was the most important thing to her and Alexia getting along with her was very, very important to her. So much so she didnât even realise herself.
Alexia and Ridley set up the sushi theyâd bought on the table, their fingers brushing and bodies seemingly wanting to be near each other. It was something she wasnât used to, and she liked it. A lot.
Alexia sat at the laptop Blue had set up for her and put on her headphones, watching the interview while she ate her lunch.
âWill Chiquito eat this?â Lucy asked from the kitchen, holding up a can of Narlaâs food.
âHeâll eat anything, but he prefers a specific brand. I brought him some, itâs in the bag there.â
Lucy nodded and laid the food out for the pets. âDonât worry, Narla wonât steal his food.â
âIâm not,â she laughed. âHeâd never let her.â
âSit here RiddlesâŠâ Blue said, pointing to the chair next to her. Sheâd wanted to sit next to Alexia but she was at the other end of the table. She was about to question it when she saw the iPad set up in front of them.
âSit.â
Ridley raised an eyebrow and sat, Lucy sitting on the other side of her and already choking down sushi. Blue fiddled around with the iPad and suddenly the trio were staring at her nan and brother. Now it made sense.
âHey nan! Hey bro! I have Luce and Riddles here.â
âHello, itâs so good to see you all!â
âPut the camera down nan, we just see your forehead,â Ben laughed.
âOh⊠is that better?â
âYes.â They all said in unison.
âHey Riddle-me-this, itâs been a while,â Ben grinned. He looked and sounded much older and than when sheâd spoken to him last.
âHey mate, up to trouble lately?â
âOnly what you taught me.â
âOh Ridley you look so good, lovey. Itâs so good to see you.â Nan said. She didnât realise how much she missed them.
âItâs really good to see you both too.â She said with emotion. It was a great surprise.
âWe just want to hear from you. Donât be a stranger, okay?â
âYes, nan.â
She looked over the iPad and caught Alexiaâs eye. It looked like sheâd paused the video and was listening to them. She didnât look surprised which meant Blue had told her about their video call, and her eyes held sympathy and curiosity. She gave her a reassuring smile before pressing play on her video again.
âChrist, sis, you look shit. Are those bruises?â
She nodded. They could only see the upper half of their bodies so it was just the sling and bruising, but she knew she would have told them both the full story. She was always honest with them. âYes, but itâs almost gone. I should be able to put weight on my knee soon.â She turned to Lucy with that look Ridley had seen multiple times. âLuce has been taking really good care of me.â
âOh Lucy youâre looking so good!â Nan praised. Lucy smiled and gulped down a piece of sushi.
âThanks nan, youâre looking well. Hey Ben, whereabouts are you at the minute?â
âKyoto living my best life.â
âOh yeah, Iâve been there, itâs a whole other world. I loved it.â
âWhen did you go?â
âUh 2021 Tokyo Olympics. We travelled around and explored while we were there. Have you learnt any of the language?â
âYeah⊠Iâm getting there. Itâs hard but I can have conversations.â
âThatâs a big achievement to be able to do that, though. Well done, just keep practicing yeah? Even if you leave, keep on top of it.â
âFor sure I will, I have a lot of friends here now.â
âGood! Itâs hard to make friends overseas, especially when you speak different languages so thatâs amazing.â
âThanks Lucy.â
Ridley didnât miss Blueâs proud smile.
âDo you remember when you two said youâd be excited to come over for a game one time? Well YFN and I have been talking and we were hoping youâd come over for Christmas? All expenses paid, of course. We have accommodation here and Iâll pay for the flights-â
â-flights will be free.â Ridley interjected.
âAnd Ridley and I will argue over whoâs paying for flights.â Lucy continued. Blue chuckled between them.
âReally?!â Ben sounded excited.
âAre you sure itâs not too much trouble?â Nan asked.
âAll expenses paid.â Blue promised. âRiddles will be here, youâll get to meet Luce, her family are excited to meet you two as well. Itâll be a happy little white Christmas like youâve never had, nan.â
âIâm in. Come on nan, we need to go!â
âIâm getting oldâŠâ
Ridley jumped in. âItâs first class, nan, so youâll have a bed on the plane. Itâs like a hotel. Youâll board first and Iâll have people with you the entire way. I can come to pick you up, if youâd like?â
âNo, no.. itâll be fine, Ben can help me. Youâve already done so much for us.â She adjusted her glasses and squinted at the camera. âYouâre looking so well, lovey. We really miss seeing you.â
âI miss you too nan. Iâll be here for Christmas, yeah?â
âOff to England it is, then!â
Lucy clapped, excited. âIâll let my family know.â
âDo you have a game we can come see you play at, Lucy?â Ben asked, genuinely admiring her.
âLionesses have their last games of the year next week, so not for England, but I have some late December matches with Barcelona if you donât mind a little trip over to Spain.â
âOhh YFN said the food is great.â
âThe food is the best part.â
âAnd Barcelona are iconic. I canât wait to see la Reina up close.â
Ridley looked over to Alexia to see if sheâd heard it. She was zoned out looking at Ridley, blinking out of it when she was caught.
âWell todayâs your lucky day.â Blue laughed.
Ridley caught Alexiaâs eyes and gestured with her head towards them. She took her headphones off and came to stand behind and join them, her hands on the back of Ridley and Blueâs seats respectively. When Ridley looked back at the screen, Ben was bright red and staring like he didnât believe it.
âUh⊠helloâŠâ Alexia greeted, not knowing why she was there.
âTh⊠that⊠thatâsâŠâ
âIs that the one you have a crush on?â Nan asked.
Lucy and Blue laughed. âNo nan, I said sheâs hot.â
âYou said it a lot of times,â she responded, not realising how embarrassed he was.
âYou do realise she can hear you, right?â Ridley said. âNan, Ben, this is Alexia Putellas. Nan, sheâs the Captain of both Barcelona and Spain, and sheâs known as the greatest female footballer to ever play.â
âIâm right here.â Lucy responded with a mouthful.
âDonât worry Luce, youâre still my number one.â
Lucy grinned. âIâm getting old.â
âStop that.â She admonished and gave her a light slap.
âHello nan, Ben. Itâs nice to be meeting you.â
âAre you coming for Christmas Alexia?â
âNan, she has her own family!â
âWell theyâre friends so I donât know.â
âUh, normally I have Christmas in Barcelona with my family,â Alexia said slowly in broken English.
âYeah I thought so, sorry, I think nanâs excited about Christmas.â
âNan are you trying to hook Ben up?â
âWell it doesnât hurt to try does it?â
Alexia laughed behind them â one of Ridleyâs favourite sounds.
âWhat about Riddle-me-that? Sheâs older than me.â
âOh yes, Ridley are you bringing someone to Christmas?â
Lucy choked, Blue laughed into Lucyâs shoulder and Alexia smothered an amused sound behind her.
âStill single.â
âOh thatâs a shame.â
âWhyâs it a shame, weâre living our best single lives.â Ben said.
âWell itâs nice to have someoneâŠâ
âRidley and I arenât like that nan.â
âOh rubbish, everyoneâs like that. Youâll find a good one sooner or later Ridley.â
Ridley sighed. If only they knew the woman she wanted was right behind her. âThanks nan.â
The rest of the conversation was catching up and organising Christmas. Ridley lifted Chiquito to introduce him to them while Alexia excused herself to watch the rest of the interview. Ridley worried how much she was watching though as she felt her eyes drift to her often. She didnât blame her, Ridley herself was tempted to look at her but managed to keep her focus on the people she considered family.
âArenât you supposed to be working?â Alexia asked from behind her.
God that voice. Ridley always needed to build up something inside her before she looked at her. She turned and smiled, holding up her phone. âNo surprise attack?â
âIt looked like a serious phone call.â
Ridley hummed. âIâve pushed back a few meetings until tomorrow.â
âAnd they agreed?â
âThatâs the great thing about being the boss.â
Alexia nodded and took a step forward onto the grass. âDid you do it to spend time with Blau?â
She knew her so well. âYes, just a few hours. She needs her sleep.â She looked inside to where Blue was giving Lucy a kiss goodbye.
âYouâre leaving now?â
âYesâŠâ
âAh, come to say goodbye did you?â
âI wanted to know where youâd be staying tonight...â
Ridley let a moment of silence hang in the air. God knows where she wanted to be. âMy later meetings are in the hotel.â
She wasnât lying. Most would be in the hotel⊠on a video call. One actual face to face in the conference room.
She nodded like she knew that would be the answer. âWill I see you tomorrow?â
The wind blew a strand of her hair loose. That beautiful hair. Ridley was obsessed with it. She stepped close and tucked it back where it belonged, unable to not meet Alexiaâs big hazel eyes staring up at her. She knew she shouldnât go over there, it was too risky. But how could she say no to that face?
âWell I do need to make sure youâre properly trained to protect yourself.â
Her smile softened her face and she looked down, nodding. Ridleyâs reaction was immediate. Again, something she shouldnât do. Her fingertips found the spot just below her chin and lifted her head. âShall we say nine oâclock?â
âIâll cook breakfast,â she breathed.
The temptation to kiss her was overwhelming. Ridleyâs eyes wandered to her pink lips and she needed to step away from her to not lose herself.
âIâll see you then. Donât forget to pick up Chiquito after the game.â
âIâd never forget him.â
Ridley stared at the photos Alexia and Lucy had posted and her insides did that thing she wasnât used to. âFeelingâ she knew Blue would say if she told her. Feeling. Never before had she studied someone so closely. She zoomed in on her face, that smile in the stands with Lucy, her beanie on because she was cold and used to the Spanish weather. Her happy hazel eyes and slightly upturned pink lips. Ridley had dreamed about those far, far too often. She should have gone with them. What if she needed another jacket?
Ridley forced her phone down and looked at Blue responding to another message. She was about five minutes from falling asleep.
âLucy being needy?â
Blue chuckled. âAlways, but I love that. No, itâs Leah worried about tonight.â
âOh?â
âShe was at the Arsenal game with Luce and Ale but now sheâs on her way to surprise Jordan at her game in Birmingham.â
âOof. Two hour drive. Very cute, though. Your idea?â
âMaybeâŠâ
Ridley rolled her eyes. âIt has you written all over it, Blue.â
She put her phone down. Narla was on one side of her, curled up and Chiquito was exploring the house, ever the curious cat.
âCome here.â She said, patting the couch to the right of her.
Ridley could have said something funny, but she didnât. Blueâs expression was too serious for that.
âWhat can I do for you, madam?â She asked, sliding next to her.
âItâs what you can do for yourselfâŠâ
âAh, of course. You just canât stop worrying about everyone else, can you?â
âRiddles-â
âYou know. Better than anyone else. You know what Iâve done.â
âAnd yet Iâm still here.â
âShe deserves better-â
It was Blueâs turn to interrupt. âBetter than someone who will her protect her with every fibre of her being? Someone who will always do whatâs best for her and not themselves?â
âThis is whatâs best for her.â
âDonât take away her choices, Riddles.â
Ridley sighed. âYou seem worried.â
âIâm worried youâre going to make the mistake of pushing away the best person in your life.â
âYouâre the best person in my life.â
âRiddles, itâs different, you know that. I just⊠I donât want you to make a mistake of hurting her to push her awayâŠâ
âOh come on, it wouldnât be the first time Iâve slept around to give someone a hint.â It was harsh, but Ridley needed to be to avoid her own emotions.
âYouâd never with her. And the difference is that you never liked the people you were pushing away.â
âI liked some.â
âOnly for sex. And not like this.â
Ridley sighed. âAnd how, pray tell, do you know there is something more to my âlikingâ of Alexia.â
âBecause youâre my best friend, and I see the way you look at her.â
âMmn. I do wonder what advice youâve given her about this whole situation, though.â Ridley watched her intelligent eyes pondering that sheâd been caught. Of course Ridley knew sheâd give advice to Alexia, because she was always trying to help without being too pushy. To be her benefit, she didnât look stressed or surprised at all.
âAnd why would I ever speak to you about personal things I talk to Alexia about?â
âOh, I donât know, maybe because youâre my best friend.â Ridley teased, repeating her.
She rolled her eyes and gave that dimply smile, shaking her head.
âWhat?â
âI know you were mocking me, but I donât think Iâve ever heard you say that before.â
Ridley tilted her head. Had she not? âYou know what you are to me.â
âItâs nice to hear it sometimes though.â She said kindly, though Ridley knew it was a polite reminder.
She nodded and reached out to touch that scar over her eyebrow, a reminder of how cruel people could be. Sheâd sacrificed her own body so that sheâd have no such scars and now⊠now she needed to trust that Lucy would protect her when she wasnât there.
âYou are my oldest friend. My best friend. Someone I would happily do anything for. I respect your opinion above all others, and I trust you with my entire being. Iâm sorry I donât say that enough.â
She cupped her cheek when she saw her getting upset, the tears forming in her eyes. She tried to nod to stop them from falling, but she was always the more openly emotional of the two. âI love you Riddles. I love that weâve been around each other so much more recently. A⊠and I donât want that to change.â She looked down and sniffed. âI know you like your space to go off and explore and be independent, and I said I was okay with it but truthfully⊠I love having you in my life. Youâre such a big part of me. I feel like something is missing when youâre not around.â
Her words hit her hard. She was always so good at communicating. Ridley didnât know how much of a burden it had been to be apart and not talking for months at a time. She had assumed the same thing â that she needed her own space for independence and that perhaps they reminded each other too much of their past. It wasnât like that at all though. They wanted to be around each other. They felt supported in doing so.
Ridley moved closer and gently pulled her into her neck. âI feel the same, Blue.â She kissed her hair. âIâm sorry, I had no idea. From now on, Iâll be here as long as you want me around, okay?â
âNâŠnot if you donât want t-â
âTrust me, I want to.â
Ridley had always kept an eye on her from afar without her knowing. Where she was, what she was doing, who she was doing it with. That protective nature of hers was never-ending when it came to Blue. Knowing all of that had made it easier, but sheâd never thought before of just how Blue had felt not knowing where she was or with who, or if she were happy. She should have reached out more.
âI love you, Blue. Iâm right here.â
She felt her relax at that reassurance they both needed so badly. âIâm right here.â Sheâd heard Lucy say it to her multiple times and knew just why sheâd fallen in love with her. She supported her with that obsessive, all-encompassing love. And when Alexia had said it to her⊠sheâd almost given herself completely to her right then and there.
Blue let out a large breath as her body calmed. âI donât want to push you. I donât want to tell you whatâs bestâŠâ she said as she pulled back far enough to look up at Ridley with red puffy eyes. She needed sleep. âBut I love you too much to let you miss out on love, Riddles. And thatâs what this is. I know you havenât admitted it to yourself yet, but sheâs perfect for you. And youâre both in love with each other. Sheâs been here for you since you first saw each other at that bar in BarcelonaâŠumâŠâ
âJavierâs.â Ridley offered in a murmur.
âThatâs the one.â She stroked her cheek and Ridley leant into it. âAnd no one deserves happiness more than you.â
âYou do.â
âWe both do.â Blueâs thumb stroked down that scar her dad had given her, and her eyes followed it. âIsnât it finally time for us to both be happy?â Her tired big blue eyes met Ridleyâs again. âDonât we both deserve that?â
Silence followed as they sat like that, and by the time Ridley responded, Blue was already fast asleep.
âI suppose we do.â

Wait what?!
GOJO SATORU X READER
Sorry for making you wait this long for a fic, but I've been pretty busy as of late. Before diving in the new read, I wanted to thank all my supporters, especially my followers and @zahra22024 , you guys gave me the motivation to finish thisđ«¶.
IN WHICH:
Rejection has never been a word of Gojo's vocabulary, but what happens when, after one seemingly ordinary mission of his, the infamous strongest sorcerer finds himself head-over-heels for a complete stranger?
Warnings: none really. Brief mention of death due to the curse but itâs all fluff, no real angst or hurt. Also brief funny/sarchastic reference to a time bomb and a gun, but there aren't any actually. Reader isnât described but is often referred to as Miss Y/Ln, therefore, itâs written for a fem!reader but you do you.
Word count= 6.223 words
âCâmon Megumi! Are you afraid to lose?â Nobara implied with a quirky smirk. Oh, how she loved getting under her classmateâs skin!
âOf course Iâm not. Iâm just saying itâs not a reasonable hour to be sparring! Why donât we have lunch, get some rest and then fight each other?â The dark haired boy replied. Oh my, this girl was the definition of persistent. In fact, he was starting to believe she was actually a curse created by all the bad decisions people made because of their stubbornness.
âMegumiâs right, Nobara. Why donât we all go eat something and train in the afternoon?â Yuji stepped in the middle of his two classmates, trying to prevent a serious fight.
Nobara scoffed, annoyed, while Megumi rolled his eyes at his classmateâs childishness.
âHey kids! Wanna go grab lunch? I was thinking of the new sushi place they opened in town. What do you think?â Boomed the all-too familiar voice of their teacher, Gojo-sensei.
It only took a shared look between Yuji and Nobara before theyâd started jumping up and down euphorically and giggling crazily.
Megumi shrugged, used by then to the fuss his friends made over going to town.
All cooped up in Gojoâs brand new car, they drove to the location, chatting loudly about whatever was on their minds.
Just as they were about to sit down and enjoy their meal, Gojoâs phone rang.
Confused, the blindfolded teacher picked up the call, noticing it was from none other than the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and his former teacher, Yaga-sensei.
âHello Yaga! Miss me already?â Gojo chirped in his usual playful tone.
Ignoring his former studentâs childishness, the principal explained on a more serious note: âGood morning Satoru. Iâve called to inform you that youâve been assigned on a mission in town. Since youâre already there, bring your students to help you but donât let them intervene.â
Sensing the seriousness in the situation, Gojo asked: âWhy? Whatâs happened? Where do I need to go?â
Motioning his students to get back in the car and receiving a few huffs and puffs in response and a quizzical look from Megumi, Satoru listened carefully to the information Yaga was about to share.
âThere has been an incident at Tokyo Central Elementary School, just a few minutes from your current location. A Semi-Grade 2 curse appeared out of nowhere right when the lessons were about to finish. Most of the classes and kids were already outside, but there is one class from the fourth grade whoâs remained trapped on the second floor. As Iâve been told, the teacher, miss Y/Ln, was able to bring to safety 19 out of her 25 students before the Curse rendered all the exits inaccessible. Not only will you need to watch out for the Semi-Grade 2 Curse, but I think the place is filled with many other smaller curses that may cause you problems. Do not act recklessly Satoru, remember, there are 6 children and one teacher still inside the building.â Yaga explained the situation thoroughly, leaving no room for questions.
âYeah ok, donât worry. Weâre heading already towards the location. Iâll take care of it in the blink of an eye!â Gojo said with his constant optimism, though he truly didnât think it would cause him much of a problem, he wasnât known as the strongest for no reason, after all.
As he informed his students about what was happening, Gojo told them his plan of action: they were going to worry about the smaller curses outside the School and ensuring the kidsâ safety, while he would rescue the other six students and the teacher and exorcise the bigger Curse inside the building.
Noticing the shift in Gojoâs demeanor, the students listened carefully without voicing any remarks.
As they approached the site, their could already hear high-pitched screams of terror and fear coming from outside the school, where the kids who had been brought to safety snuggled up defenseless against their terrorized parents.
âHello everybody! We are here to rescue you! Now, Iâd appreciate it if you all calmed down and let us help.â Gojo exclaimed, stepping outside of his vehicle.
A brunette middle-aged woman approached the tall man as Megumi, Yuji and Nobara went on patrol to exorcise any smaller curse and check to see if all the kids outside were safe.
âHello, I assume youâre mister Gojo.â
Satoru simply nodded, examining the woman and her child from underneath the black blindfold.
âYou probably already know, but there are six children and one teacher inside the building. The other kids have gotten out more or less 20 minutes ago and they told us the others are trapped inside the science classroom, room 22 on the second floor.â
Gojo nodded, deep in thought.
Another previously crying woman next to them, took a sharp breath of happiness, making everyoneâs head towards her.
She pointed at the building in the distance, getting up from her seated position, yelling: âLook! Theyâre coming!â
Confused, Gojo followed her finger and noticed six small figures running together like a pack of wolves in their direction.
Before anybody could stop her, she sprinted towards the figures that were rapidly approaching.
Six kids had arrived, safe and unharmed.Â
âMommy! Daddy!â Yelled the children, bawling their eyes out in the laps of their surprised parents.
âTheyâre safe! They made it out alive!â Yelled a woman to their left.
A blond kid, taller and probably older or at least more mature than the rest, the same one who had been at the back of the group in a brave attempt to ensure everyoneâs safety, ran to Gojo, holding hands with his weeping mother.
âMy mom told me you came here to rescue us!â
âThat I did kid, now, would you mind telling me if everyoneâs here?â
âNo, not everyone. Miss Y/Ln stayed back to distract the ugly monster we couldnât see so we could run away. Sheâs still in there so you need to help her!â
Nodding forcefully, Gojo told the kid heâd done a great job at helping his friends and giving him this new important piece of new information. Then, under the stunned eyes of the blond kid and his even more shocked mother, Gojo disappeared, only to reappear inside the classroom 22.
YNâS POV
You heard a whoosh sound coming from the entrance of the corridor, meaning the curse was approaching and your time to make up a plan to escape was quickly running out.
Your breathing became harder and you clenched your teeth in worry. How were you going to survive this?
You had to think this through, or else, you could throw out of the window all your hopes at getting a more financially rewarding job and buy your own cottage in the outskirts of this beautiful city, perhaps with a few pets and a swimming pool if it wasnât asking for too much.
You shook your head. Youâd saved your students, and that was the important thing, now, you were left on your own to deal with this deadly curse and its little helpers, and you were hopeful you could be able of getting out of this mess alive.
You peeked from behind the pillar were you had hidden, searching for the main exit, only to find a tall white haired male standing in the middle of the corridor, a black blindfold covering his eyes and partially his nose. He wasnât a curse, so what was he doing here?
Without thinking twice, you grabbed him by the collar and yanked him behind the pillar, earning a yelp from the unusual looking stranger.
âWhat on earth are you doing here?â You hissed furiously, still looking around in hopes of finding anything suitable for a quick escape.
âIâm here to save you!â The man replied with a sly smile painted on his face. The nerve! Barely half a minute in and heâd already been able to get on your nerves, which was indeed something for a fourth grade teacher.
You deadpanned him, unable to hide your annoyed expression unlike you always did.
âWho even are you?â You asked him, but your hypothesis were proven right as he presented himself as a sorcerer, one of those guys who killed curses for a living.
âMy name is Gojo Satoru, thank you for asking. Iâm a special grade sorcerer, meaning I kill Curses for a living and are quite amazing at my job.â
âYouâre also quite amazing at irritating peopleâŠâ You whispered so low you almost couldnât Hera yourself.
However, Gojoâs trained ears picked up your reply as he mocked fake despair and sadness at your words.
You rolled your eyes at his childish behavior. How lucky had you been to get HIM, out of all the sorcerers in the entire world, as your savior?
âI have a Curse trained on my tracks, itâs only a grade semi-two but there are many smaller grades scattered across the building. Iâve been seeing them for a while now, but they were never this much, and the bigger curse, it just appeared out of the blue half an hour ago.â
You told him. You had to get out of this place, and right now, you wouldâve preferred to have even the weakest sorcerer on your side if it meant not facing the curses alone, so you simply needed to thank whatever miracle had sent Gojo your way, make peace with his extremely annoying behavior and collaborate in order to go home as soon as possible.
âDo you have a plan to get out?â You asked curtly.
âOf course I do, pfft, what else would you have expected from the strongest sorcerer?â He replied, making you regret ever thinking working with him wouldâve been better than being aloneâŠ
âWell please, do tell your perfect plan. You should know thereâs a curse wandering just inside this room right now.â You told him.
âNot anymore, there isnât.â He grinned, and you could see the glint of mischief in his eyes from behind the blindfold.
Frowning, you looked over your hiding spot, only to be met with the dead carcass of a huge ugly curse.
âHow did you do that?â You couldnât stop the surprise that latched each and every one of your words. How had he been able to fight off that Curse, when heâd been talking to you ever since heâd entered the room?
Well, now that you were thinking about it, youâd never actually seen him get inside the room. What if he had one of those sorcerer powers that enabled him to like teleport and stuff?
Youâd read about it in the books of the old library you used to spend afternoons at when you were younger. You had always been able to see curses, so you had become used to feeling like an outsider with other people, as if you didnât belong with them. Youâd found refugee in books, reading your way through your childhood and teenage years. Growing up, you started to analyze better the world around you, noticing quickly how many people needed your help. So you gave it to them in the way you knew best: by passing on your love for reading. That was the main reason for which youâd become a teacher, besides from the fact you loved kids and being around the youngest, forever innocent and kind, the only people who didnât judge anyone before actually getting to know them.
Swiftly, you shooed away the thought. It wasnât the right time nor place to think about it or dwell on the past.
âHave you even been listening to me?â Gojo asked you, and only then did you realize you had zoned out for probably a couple of minutes.
âYou know, you missed out hearing directly from me the explanation of how my powers work, which is a privilege for only the few I deem worthy.â He said.
âWhat did I do to prove myself worthy?â You asked, intrigued by the maleâs statement.
âFor instance, you risked your life to save your students. You werenât intimidated by the multiple curses and stood your ground, analyzing the situation and planning with a clear head. You can see curses and youâre a teacher, like me.âÂ
âYouâre a teacher?!â What sick principal would ever hire him as a teacher? God you felt sorry for his students.
âDonât act so surprised! Iâm a great teacher! You can see it for yourself, my students are just outside the school perimeter, helping the kids and their parents.â You headed towards the main hall, a few stairs and youâd get out of this place that reeked of dead curses, as if only Gojoâs presence had been enough to wipe them out.
âWhat kind of teacher brings their students to a dangerous place full of potentially deathly threats?â You asked.
He kept silent, that smile of his still displayed on his light skinned face.
âYouâre one of them, right? Youâre a sorcerer from the Tokyo Jujutsu High School.â The realization dawned on you.
âHow do you know so much about curses and sorcerers?â He asked, proving your hypothesis about his nature correct furthermore.
âI read about it somewhereâŠâ You tried to not give away any personal information, still not trusting the blindfolded man.
âFine fine, keep your secrets. You remind me of one of my students you know? His nameâs Megumi, youâll get to meet him soon.â And with that, he lead you outside where everybody else was. As much as you were thrilled to get out of this place, this man intrigued you and you got the feeling you shouldâve gotten to know him better, and now, you were also curious about who this Megumi kid was.
Your students came running towards you as their mothers yelled in surprise, crying from the joy of seeing everyone safe after such an incident.
After all had been sorted, one of the parents proposed: âWeâre all very happy to see everybody safe, and weâre thankful for the timely action of Mr Satoru and his students, and also the courage of our dear Miss Y/Ln. I propose we celebrate by going to dinner together tonight, would you like to come?â
You didnât really have anything to do that day, and school would probably be suspended for a few days to assess the problems in the building, both the seeable and not, so why not? After all, you hadnât gone out in ages. âYeah sure, thank you again. Youâre welcome. Iâm thrilled to see everyone got out safely without any major injuries.â
âCount us in too!â Gojo was quick to add, almost as if he had been awaiting for your response before deciding himself.
âGreat! How about we go at the Shinkiro restaurant in town, say at 7 oâclock in the afternoon?â The man said.
You all nodded, but as you were about to leave, you were interrupted by a certain white-haired male.
âHey Y/n, could you give me your phone number? Or vice versa. I-I mean, just in case any of us need it this evening orâŠor something like this happens again.â He said with the usual spark in his voice, though you could feel the nervous and insecure in his tone and in how he gesticulated excessively, when trying to come up for a reason for which you should give him your number.
âNo.â You spat in his face, awaiting for his reaction with the most neutral face you could pull.
You instantly saw his features etch in a mixture of shock, disbelief and sadness.
In a friendly way, you hit his shoulder, chuckling as you searched for your phone in the dark depths of your tote bag (seriously how big was it? It felt like it had enough space for the phone to play hide and seek with your hand!).
âIâm kidding! Sure you can have it! RelaxâŠâ You told him, watching as his frowned look turned into a more relaxed one, the sparkle of excitement never leaving his beautiful blue eyes.
I-I mean, they were simply blue eyes. So they were objectively beautiful. Itâs not like you were mesmerized by them and suddenly felt the urge to shoot a photo of them and make it your wallpaper and make a huge poster to hang in your kitchen with it. Or perhaps a photo with all his face, including the perfectly shaped slim nose, his defined cheekbones and his snowy white fluffy hair you wanted no more but to ruffle with your hands. Wait, what were you saying? Were you fantasizing about a random stranger?
Sure, he was cute. It was kind of obvious how everybody, girls and boys, turned to stare at him whenever he stepped into a room. But that didnât mean you liked him!
âThough, I canât find my phone in here. I think I may have left it at home. Why donât I give you my number?â
âYeah sure!â He handed you his phone in glee.
It was a brand new iPhone, the kind that you only saw in tv and basically costed half of your yearly rent, if not more.Â
Quickly, you typed in your number, unsure of what to type in as your name, opting at last for a simple Y/n Y/Ln.
All of a sudden, you were relieved to not have picked out your phone. Not that you cared, but it wouldâve been a pinch embarrassing to confront your old overused Nokia with his new iPhone.
âThanks, would you like me to accompany you to your car?â He politely asked. He may have seemed sassy at first, but you could see heâd been raised a gentleman.
âYouâre welcome, however I came using the subway and itâs a long walk from here and I assume you have lots to do.â You explained, forcing a tight-lipped smile.
âOh, no worries! I didnât have any plans for this afternoon anyways, so I could walk you to the station if youâd like.â He responded.
âThatâŠwould be great, actually.â Okay, he was making it very hard for you not to like him! He was the biggest gentleman youâd ever had the pleasure of meeting, and heâd just offered for no reason at all to bare with you a very long walk when he couldâve simply said âoh, okay. See you this evening thenâ.
On the walk back, unable to find any other topics to discuss that werenât personal, you started chatting about your hobbies and favorites.
You found out about his sweet tooth, his favorite book, which was a cheesy romance book youâd only recently gotten your hands on and for a fantasy novel, he loved The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, his favorite anime was Attack on titan, he enjoyed playing tennis in his free time and sometimes shopping or simply going out. He hadnât been a fan of school when he was younger, that much you understood, but he had had a piqued interest for science and scientific subjects in general that had somehow persisted throughout his whole life.
On the other hand, you ranted about your likings, happy to know he wasnât grossed out by your unique, or as some might say, weird and nerdy favorites, but rather intrigued by them.
You almost huffed when the station came into view. It had been a really nice walk. Actually, it had been the very best walk youâd taken with someone since the accidentâŠ
But now wasnât the time to mellow over such hard times in the past. Youâd finally found someone you could call a friend, and you wouldnât ruin it because of your insecurities. Surely, he wouldnât be with you long. After a while, heâd probably get bored or become grossed out by you and heâd leave you, like everybody did. Perhaps he was already realizing how idiotic of a mistake it had been to offer to walk with you, and would probably ghost you right after the dinner you had this evening. Besides, getting to close to him, a sorcerer, wouldâve meant jeopardizing your whole new life, if he ever found out about that thing. But for now, youâd savior the last moments with him so that, at the end of the day, you wouldnât have any regrets and you couldnât have said you hadnât triedâŠ
âI guess this is it thenâŠâ You forced a small smile, almost as if in sorrow, expecting to find an, even if slightly, disgusted look on your companionâs face. You knew what was going to happen, like every time you tried to make friends. After getting to know you, theyâd simply start ignoring you, almost as if you werenât worth their time. So you looked at your friend deeply, trying to impress his features in your mind. That way, even through the slight sorrow and sadness, you could have a happy memory to think about.
âYouâre saying it like weâll never see each other again.â He laughed. Contrary to your belief, a bright smile had paved its way onto Gojoâs beautiful features, making you smile, for real this time, in return.
Without wasting any time, though hesitantly at first, you wrapped your arms around him in a hug.
Most people wouldâve been weirded out, but apparently, Gojo wasnât most people. Instead, he wrapped his strong arms around your torso even tighter, lifting you off the ground in a light-hearted manner.
By the end of it, you were both laughing your heads off, as if you were old childhood friends who had been reunited at last, after not being able to see each other for years.
âThanks againâŠF-For the walk, I mean.â You looked at the ground in a useless attempt at hiding the forming blush on your already tinted cheeks.
âYouâre welcome! See you tonight! I know we swore not to make any spoilers, but I canât wait to see you in that dress of yours at dinnerâŠâ He said, grinning wildly.
As if his actions hadnât been enough! You were a hundred percent sure your checks were by now redder than literal beet. Gosh he was so cute! As a friend, still.
âSee you tonight, Gojo!â You replied, turning your back on him to make your way towards the subway station.
âOh, and Y/n, one last thingâŠâ He stopped you in your tracks.
Freezing momentarily, you let sadness wash over you in a matter of seconds. Of course, how could he, Gojo Satoru, a literal angel on earth, ever wanna be friends with you. Maybe, given his calm and easy-going personality, heâd soften the blow by saying something like âyouâre such a good person Y/n. I really wish we couldâve hung out more, but you seeâŠâ and then heâd make up an excuse as to why you werenât going to see each other again. For instance, he could say he was moving out of townâŠHe had every right to, not that you cared anyways. The joy of the moment was passing, but the memory would last forever, and besides, you were used to it. People leaving you, both out of the blue or not, and you could say you were kind of an expert when it came to bearing and standing through all the blows life hit you with.
You turned around, only looking at him in the eyes, searching for a hint of malice or coldness. But you were once again positively surprised to hear him saying: âI thought we were already on a first name basis, but please, do call me Satoru.â
Your entire world lit up for a moment (What, noooooo. Itâs not like you cared, not that much anywaysâŠ).âSure thing! Goodbye Satoru, see you later!â You said.
The whole ride back to your home, you spent giggling and bouncing your knee up and down like a freaking madman. Looking at the time every two seconds, you waited patiently you were so anxious it felt like a time bomb was gonna explode if you were to arrive late for the old and full of graffiti doors to open at the last stop, barely minutes away from your apartment.
It was a cozy little apartment in town, and even though you wouldâve preferred a nice cottage near the suburbs(who doesnât?), it was still your home sweet home, and nothing was going to change the fondness and relaxation you felt every single time you strode inside the small black door.
Taking the time needed speeding up the process so fast you legit felt like you had a gun pointed at you the whole time, you took a nice shower, did your makeup and got dressed in the nicest clothing articles you could find that didnât resemble your day to day outfits.
GOJOâS POV
I was right on time! Utahime wouldâve been proud of me.
I just needed to search forâŠOop! There I found her! My beautiful amazing Y/n! Wait what? I meant my as in my newest friend, obviously.
âShe looks so good in that tight-fitted dress, itâs as if it was made specifically for her! And the color! It really brings out the wow effect in her eyes and hair and her amazing skin tone.
In fact, I donât think Iâve ever seen a skin tone so perfect, her skin simply looks so smooth and flawless! I really should ask her what products she uses for her skincare, perhaps we could even go buy them together. Then, we could go to dinner together, because itâs known, skincare-shopping makes hungry, and later on I could bring her over to my houseâŠJust so she could teach me how to apply all the different moisturizers and soap thingies of course!â I thought.
However, there was something that bugged me in the wrong way. How had she, a simple teacher who could only see curses (I wouldâve sensed it, had she been a sorcerer), not only saved all of her students, many kids who couldnât possibly have known what was going on, but also kill some smaller curses on her own and get out unharmed? Either she was simply great at her skills with a make-shift bat, or she wasnât who she said she was. I shrugged. One way or another, Iâd find out what had really happened, but I was sure it wasnât anything like the second option Iâd thought about, or else, I wouldâve easily found out with my six eyes, right?
âGojo? Gojo Sensei?â Whose pale hand waving in front of my hand was that? How dare they interrupt my flow of th⊠âMegumi!â I squealed as soon as I recognized the black haired boy. What was he doing here? Oh right, itâs for the whole curse accident at the school thing, it had taken me a while to remember.
âYou zoned out.â He deadpanned me in the flattest tone I had ever heard.
âYeah no sh!T Sherlock. Heâs been eyeing Miss Teacher over there ever since she got here.â Nobara added.
Thankfully, my favorite student of all time, Yuji, came in to save the day: âHey guys, watcha talking about?â
âAre you already eating?â Megumi scolded his pink-haired classmate who was mindlessly munching on a bunch of breadsticks one of the waiters had kindly offered.
âYeah, where are your good manners? Ladies come first, itâs a rule.â Nobara said, right before grabbing one of his snacks, splitting it in two and proceeding to shove one of the halves in her mouth as Megumi rolled his eyes dramatically. âBesides, weâre talking about Gojo liking Miss Y/Ln and how heâs making it painfully obvious.â She continued, relentless, while still chewing on her breadstick.
âI know right! Dude, youâve been staring at her for the last fifteen minutes, just go talk to her.â Yuji chipped in the conversation. Alright, I was kinda having second-thoughts about who my favorite student was.
I swear I had the best remark in my mouth, but all the words were drained from my mind as I watched a short man, way older than both of us, lean in to hug her.
Hey! What did he think he was doing? Hugging her was my thing!
She mustâve been thinking the same thing, seeing the way she froze immediately, acting visibly uncomfortable and gently patting the manâs back as a way of saying â I get it you want to hug me, but Iâd really appreciate it if you could just get your dirty hands of a mediocre-man with an ugly beard and unruly unkept oily hair, with a huge forehead and the longest nose and theâŠâ Okay, okay, perhaps I was making the last part up, but I was genuinely sorry for her. Like come on! And he still wasnât backing away? I wouldâve gotten off and apologized instantly had I ever gotten the hint I had made such a charming lady this much uncomfortable.
But anyways, how could I ever make her feel like that? I mean, who were we kidding? Iâm the Gojo Satoru, I eat my fears for breakfast. (Just kidding, I donât actually eat hairy tarantulas in the morning. Besides, why do they have so many eyes? Itâs unsettling.)
It was as if I was acting on auto control. Without even thinking, I crossed the gigantic hall and strode confidently over to my friendâs location, effectively making the ugly man let go of her.
âHey Goj-sorry Satoru!â She said smiling happily, seemingly unfazed by the touchy hairy guy. Was it just me or did that man share a resemblance with those hairy tarantulas?
âHere, Iâd like to introduce you to the headmaster of our school, Mister Takeshi Sato. He also teaches and Iâve had the pleasure of working with him before for trips and stuff. Takeshi, Gojo Satoru, SatoruâŠâ âTakeshi.â I spat, offering my hand with a visible frown of disgust on my face. His name was almost as bad as his looks.
âOh please, call me by my given name Sato! Itâs quite the pleasure to meet you! You may have not known each other for a lot, but Y/n has already told me about you. It was very brave what you did, what you both did, this morning.â The man said.
âI think Iâm going to stick with Takeshi, thank you very much.â I replied, perhaps an inch too aggressively. However, Mister annoying here didnât seem to take it personally, excusing himself lamely. (It was obvious he was afraid of me, duh!) âExcuse me, but my wife is currently signaling me to go over to her. It seems like another couple of parents have taken her hostage.â He chuckled under his curly beard, walking away with those short legs of his.
As soon as he was out of out of earshot, y/n shot a weird glance at me.
âAre you okay Satoru?â She asked questioningly.
âYou could just say thank you, you know.â I responded.
âFor what? Scaring away the headmaster of the school I work at?â She replied.
âHe was clearly making you uneasy with his touchiness.â
âAs much as I appreciate the gesture, Iâm not some kind of damsel in distress. Iâve known the man for years and heâs always been nothing but kind and polite with me, so youâve got nothing to worry about.â She explained, waving politely at a family that had just joined the group in the restaurant hall, as we all waited for the last ones to arrive in order to get seated.
âIf thatâs what makes you sleep at nightâŠâ I said. Of course, she had been surprised by my act of bravery. Perhaps, her heart had started beating faster and her mind running wildly and she thought covering it up with a scold was the best way to hide her true feelings.
She was so head over heels for me!
And maybe, there was a slight chance I liked her back, though it was nothing serious surely.
Okay, no. It had no sense lying to myself. I liked her, a lot, and Iâd never felt like this before, so I really wanted this to work, even before it got the chance to start. Perhaps tonight was the right time to ask her out.
The evening went as smooth as it couldâve, and at last, we were left alone, just like that morning, only in a totally different setting.
âIâm gonna go now, it was nice seeing you again Gojo.â
I lifted my brow, she was so cute, always calling me by my last nameâŠPerhaps she should get used to hearing it so often.
âSorry, Satoru.â She smiled, exposing that heart-melting happy tears-inducing smile of hers.
I simply went over to hug her. Yes, it was the perfect time. Iâd ask her out and it would all go smoothly as ever. Rejection wasnât a word in my vocabulary, I couldnât even recount the number of times my advances had been turned down, and you know why. Because I never had been.
Pft, who wouldnât want to go out with me, handsome, smart, funny, gentleman, charismatic, strong, clean and perfumed (unlike a certain Takeshi) Gojo Satoru?
With the best smile I could shape my lips in, I let go of her and looked her in the eyes.
âI know weâve just known each other for a day, but I feel a very strong connection between us and I think itâs worth trying. I mean, youâre beautiful and smart and funny, and Iâm, wellâŠme. So what do you say we go out together?â
In my head, I was already picturing her in an extravagant and flattering red dress with the new trendy expensive shoes that had been popping up in my feed just recently, with shiny Rubin earrings and a golden necklace that adorned her face perfectly. We would have one heck of a first date, that would lead to a second and a third date, that would eventually lead to her coming to live together with myself in my glorious and luxurious mansion. Then, we would get married andâŠ
âIâm really flattered satoru, but Iâm sorry, I think Iâll pass.â Wait what?!
My brain went in short-circuit for a moment, and it was not the positive kind, like when Iâd first seen her this evening with that elegant, and exquisite dress on her.
It was like the world froze, and I just stood there, dumbfounded like a total idiot with my mouth agape and blinking in record time.
âYou're... passing?â I repeated, voice going oddly high.
She nodded, a painful pitiful expression in her eyes. âItâs not you, really," she rushed to add, hands lifting a little awkwardly, âYouâre... youâre amazing. Funny, and... kind of a hero today, actually.â You smiled nervously. âI just... I'm not really looking to date anyone right now. Too much going on, you know?â she added, softer.
I found myself staring at her for the umpteenth time tonight, though this time I was wide-eyed for a completely different reason. I had to say something funny, something to break the tension and not make it seem like I was actually hurt.
All at once, I gave a loud, exaggerated gasp and dramatically clutched my chest like Iâd been shot.
âOh no,â I said in an overly theatrical voice. âThis... this is it. This is how I die. Rejected by someone who literally owes me their life. Tragic.â
She let out a laugh, shaking her head. âYouâll live, Gojo-san. Youâre tough.â
I sniffed dramatically, pretending to wipe a tear under my blindfold. âBarely.â
I sincerely hoped she couldnât see through my facade. Since forever, I used to cope with humor whenever I found myself in difficult or embarrassing situations, however this kinds of situationsâŠI wasnât exactly used to being the rejected one. She either had a boyfriend and didnât want to tell while still preserving the relationship; she had just had a rough break up and wasnât ready to date again; orâŠNo. I had to get all these negative thoughts out of my head: she was just who I though she was. How could she possibly have lied to me? I wouldâve seen right through her mask and gotten a grip of her real identity, had she been hiding something from me, which she wasnât. So I simply needed to recover from the shock and get a hold over my thoughts.
Going back to look at her in a meek attempt of shoving my thoughts away, I noticed the feeling of guilt that had spread on her face. Quickly, she counter-offered. âBut hey... we could still go out. As friends. If you want?â
I perked up instantly, like a puppy being offered a treat, though I tried â and failed â to play it cool.
âAs friends, huh?â I said, tilting my head with my signature smirk. "Well, I guess I can work with that.â I paused, taking in the reassured expression that had taken over her features . âFor now.â I muttered, under my breath.
YOUR POV
Finally, you arrived home. Sheâd been grumbling under her breath throughout the whole ride, making it impossible for you to relax.
âWhat?â You lashed out at her as soon as you were back inside your home.
âWhat were you thinking? Heâs a sorcerer!â She replied in the back of your mind.
âOh shut up!â
Thank you for reading, I hope you liked it. You're welcome to come check out my account and my other posts and/or make requests :) (MASTERLIST) Do NOT plagiarize this or any of my content.

Yesterday, Today, And Tomorrow: In Conversation With Wonho
The K-Pop icon's passion for communication...
Simply put, Wonho embodies duality. His velveteen voice, disarming smile, and onstage charisma come together to form a two-fold artistic presence. Equal parts alluring and comforting, it is something that feels distinctly Wonho.Â
The night has only just begun as Wonho takes the stage as the second act of Detroit, Michiganâs IHeartRadio Jingle Ball. But while he paints the stage with precise choreography and fills the space with dulcet vocals, all eyes are on him. His dualistic artistry lends something magnetic to his performance, something that thoroughly charms both fans and spectators alike.Â
These days, itâs a busy life for this charmer. As soon as Wonho was discharged from the military last September, he hit the ground running. Two performances in Seoul; an appearance at a K-pop festival in Mexico City; and most recently, an eventful trip around the USA. For Wonho, the better part of December was spent traversing the United States. He split his time between his very first American solo tour, and a run of appearances at the massive Jingle Ball tour, sharing a stage with big names such as Jason Derulo, Madison Beer. and NCT Dream.Â
Throughout his stint in the United States, Wonho promoted his latest release, âWhat Would You Do?â an English track imbued with heartbreak. Much like Wonho himself, the track has been met with warm reception from fans and non-fans alike.Â
Shortly after leaving the stage, the sound of Detroitâs raucous cheers still roaring behind him, Wonho met with CLASH backstage at Little Caesars Arena for some exclusive portraits and a chat.
â
So youâre back, and youâve been busy. You had your fan party in Seoul, performed in Mexico, and now youâre on your first United States solo tour. How has everything been going?
Wonho: Iâve been busy, but itâs fine. Iâm so happy. My fans make me happy.Â
Youâve also been performing at some dates of the Jingle Ball tour. Because the crowds at Jingle Ball are mixed with many fans of different artists, how has that experience been, versus performing at your own shows?
W: For my fans, at my own shows, I like to show a lot of different things and focus a lot on interacting with each other. At things like Jingle Ball, I like to show more of my original self and who I am. Not that itâs very different from one another. Here, though, I saw that the fans were enjoying it and having a fun time. I saw that there were NCT fans in the crowd who were enjoying it as well, so Iâm very grateful.
What sort of feeling do you want to leave your fans or attendees with after seeing a Wonho show?
W: I want the time that we spend together, the emotions, and the time we share, to be something that fans can really focus and concentrate on. I want it to be something where (in the future), even if there is similar weather, they will be reminded of that good memory.Â
What is your favorite song of yours to perform, and why?
W: Today, my favourite to perform was âAinât About Youâ. The choreography has a lot of freedom. It doesnât matter if I move to the left, to the right, we just play and let the energy flow.Â
In addition to your fans, Wenee, what do you love most about performing?
W: This is the work that I love. I think itâs a similar feeling to when someone creates or designs something, and theyâre just about to unveil it. Itâs a very exciting feeling. When I prepare different performances and songs, that excitement of showing it off to people is something that I love.Â
Youâve just released a new song, the English single âWhat Would You Do?â. Could you tell us a bit about that song?
W: This is my first try at an R&B song, so I put a lot of emotion into it. Itâs a song that I think shows more of myself, and shows off more of my vocals. As soon as I first listened to it, I liked it.Â
â

â
How would you describe your music to someone who has never listened to it before?Â
W: A good question, but very difficult to say. I think it might feel like homework to describe my music. Going forward, I would like to show instead of telling, by releasing a lot of good songs. My goal is for someone to get to know me through my music.
Looking back into the past, was there a particular moment that you realized you wanted to be an artist?
W: There was never a specific moment where I felt like this was what I wanted to do. Moreso, it was as if the world and my circumstances shaped me into the artist that I am today.Â
And moving forward, what are some things youâd like to try that you havenât yet, musically?
W: I would like to try a rock genre, but to be honest, it doesnât really matter what Iâm trying. I just want to try new and different things. For example, when doing a softer track, I incorporated a lot of drill elements. I donât want to be confined to a genre â I just want to make new and good music.Â
What does the future look like for you? What do you want to accomplish, whether that be as an artist, or as a person?
W: To be honest, I donât really think about the future. I usually think about three things: Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The things I do today will help prepare for tomorrow, and I try to improve from the regrets of yesterday. It might be kind of cliche, but I always try to be better today than yesterday. Iâm working on my album for 2025, and I want to continue showing new and better sides of myself through that album.
Any final notes you would like to share?
W: I will be releasing my new album in February or MarchâŠmaybe? Iâll work hard to prepare. Until then, please show a lot of love to âWhat Would You Do?â.

Characters with wasted potential: takami kegio
Oh hawks and the debates I have seen circulating around his character. He could of been a well written and thoroughly interesting and complex character but we know where that went.
I have got my own problems with hawks in canon. This is gonna be more of a ramble than anything else so enjoy.
His interactions with characters. A lot of the interactions that hawks has with different characters could of been so complex and intriguing if done right sadly MHA fails at that. Hawks views Enji todoroki the number two hero as his saviour from his abusive father so obviously hawks is a huge Endeavour fan who puts him on a pedestal. So we expect him to face an internal conflict when he finds out that his own saviour is an abuser to his own family but NOPE WE GET NOTHING. Hawks is physically not allowed to change or think about this and stays as a static character. Hawks and lady nagant have a lot of parallels and I found it Hella confusing when I learnt that lady nagant WASN'T hawk's former mentor and if she was that would of added a lot more depth to them in the vigilante arc. Hawks and tokoyami, look I love their mentor and mentoee relationship and how hawks actively encourages tokoyami to do things also it's Hella implied that the two are close and end up doing silly things on internships which I think is really fun. However I think the bit in the vigilante arc when hawks isn't answering tokoyamis calls and tokoyami is worried about him was handled poorly. I also think tokoyamis reaction to hawks being a killer is handled poorly. Hawk's actions during the first war arc and him killing twice could of been complex to him if handled well but we are led to believe that he was in the right in killing twice when hawks had the power to easily knock out twice, transport him to a jail cell and destroy all the clones before anything bad happens considering that hawks is known for his fastness, strength and agility .
Wasted potential in introduced plot aspects about him. Hawks is introduced as the 3rd top hero and compared to those before him he is young. He has a very charismatic and two faced nature that he has sharpened and learnt to use with the training the HPSC gave him. Hawks is a spy assassin that is supposed to act as a charismatic hero celebrity. In a way after all mights retirement hawks and enji became the most popular faces in Japan. Hawks was bred for this position yet that isn't expanded on neither is it developed well on. Hawk's actions during MVA and the first war arc are complex as they're coming from both genuine truth and lie. Hawks feels trapped literally and metaphorically having to live a life that isn't his and entertain people, always being watched from a cage. That's the story he tells the league and some of it to tokoyami and this is the truth to him. Hawks also killed twice BECAUSE HE BELIEVED it was the only option he had when in fact IT WASNT THE ONLY OPTION and by hawks trying to escape the cage and differentiate himself from the HPSC he ends up following and obeying them all along.
Lack of agency. As a character hawks lacks agency to do things or act. There are things that hawks isn't allowed to do even though it fits his narrative clearly. Hawks isnt allowed to have any negative feelings towards enji todoroki and what he did, heck he isn't even allowed to INTROPSECT on such a thing. Hawks isn't allowed to fully be developed or have any source of introspection, it would of been great if we saw more of what hawks thought about what he did to twice and what toga is trying to do. Hawks also doesn't say much when it comes to the HPSC and how they treated him the closest thing we get to intropsection in that case is him telling lady nagant that he is an extremely optimistic guy.
These are my main problems with hawks, Iam aware that there may be more.
I actually enjoyed hawk's introduction in the manga which was chapter 185 during the changing of the hero popularity polls. Hawks was presented as this complex character who isn't what he seems from the beginning. The first few panels we see him and he is comedically exaggerating his actions aka zipping his mouth and not talking or being overall very expressive however, when he does start to talk he is shown to cleary express his views and has stated that he hates the general bs thay heroes sprout about them wanting to uphold the law more than enjoying the luxuries that hero work gives them. He then takes the mic and proceeds to 'spice things up' by calling out enji on how disliked he is by the civilians. He claims this is something he did to help enji when in fact it didn't help him at all. To me this first interaction already establishes him as a walking contradiction.

His relationship with tokoyami. Their relationship first started in a way for hawks to gain information about 1A and he definitely wasn't being sneaky about it considering that tokoyami could see right through him. Tokoyami at the time only wanted to learn from hawks and was heavily upset and confused as to why hawks taught him nothing and was only using him. However, as time passed by they actually started to form a proper mentor and student relationship which I really enjoyed. When hawks was asked why he chose tokoyami he said that they are from the same feather, basically insinuating that he felt like it was somewhat his duty since he and tokoyami are both bird mutants to a certain extent. As a mentor hawks taught his student to have fun and chill out as tokoyami is a very grounded person (literally and metaphorically). Hawks inspired tokoyami to fly and majority of tokoyamis moves are some stuff that he either learnt or was inspired from with hawks. There's also the fact that it's heavily implied that a lot of the time hawks and tokoyami did goof out a bit considering that tokoyami has 'scandalous pictures' of hawks. However, I wish we actually got more of this relationship especially after tokoyami finds out that hawks killed twice. In the manga when tokoyami finds out of such a thing he automatically protects hawks and thinks he is in the right. I disagree with that and I think it would of been better to have it so that tokoyami protects hawks from Dabi not because he is a hero who done no wrong but because he is his mentor who he deeply cares for. I would also have it so that tokoyami starts to question who hawks really is?, is he a good person?, did tokoyami do the right thing helping hawks? Etc etc. in the vigilante arc, it's stated that tokoyami tried to contact hawks multiple times to no avail however this isn't expanded on. I would have it so that hawks is avoiding tokoyami on purpose because he is ashamed and scared of what his student will think of him. At the end they have a conversation and talk it out with tokoyami understanding that what hawks did was wrong but he deeply cares for him whereas hawks understands just how valuable his relationship with tokoyami really is. In the end, I ended up liking what happend with hawks and tokoyami both protecting eachother in the final arc and growing stronger as a mentor and student. Hawks learns to protect the youth and break the cycle that he was trapped in while learning what a hero means to others from tokoyamis perspective.

Hawks and twice . Hawks managed to build a good relationship with twice as the dumb and overly optimistic MVA member. Twice had potential to be saved but hawks ended up killing him. I have reread this part of the manga and I have my mixed opinions on this however, there are two ways I would change this 1) have hawks kill toga instead and have twice and toga switch places as it makes way more sense or 2) have hawks try to quickly take down twice by knocking him out and trying to transport him somewhere get before he can achieve that Dabi comes in and intervenes finally making hawks too slow to do anything and having him end up killing twice. Option 2 is what happend in the manga with hawks being too slow (ironic considering that hawks is praised on speed) to truly save twice and ends up taking his life so twice doesn't escape and doom them all. The problem is that hawks starts on the offensive (something I like), hawks thinks that killing twice is the only way to avoid everything or at least massively injuring him would stop it. Sadly, hawks could of easily convinced twice to back down considering how easily swayed twice is and that he only did the things he did because he thought there was no way out or wanted to help his friends. Before their fight begins however, hawks talks about not being swayed by nice words and connections he built with twice which makes me think that he didn't want to kill him but due to his mindset and pov he ended up killing him because HE THOUGHT IT WAS THE ONLY OPTION HE HAD (It wasn't)

His involvement in the MVA. Hawks first starts as a double spy for the HPSC. Through the MVA arc we see him do questionable things in the name of other people safety however, we see his actions backfire badly. Hawks tries to quickly and swiftly gain the leagues trust yet he isn't fast enough, he tries to quickly inform the heroes and the HPSC of how dangerous and out of hand this situation yet he fails and many things are caused by him (the fastest hero alive) not being quick enough to do anything. He 'kills' beat jeanist in the name of gaining the trust of the MVA yet that does nothing to get him up the system and just makes it that best jeanists help is out of the table for the majority of the arc. Hawks joining the MVA was useful for the league as they were going to parade him around so people can join him yet I still wonder how the mainstream media didnt catch a whiff of what hawks was up to or how he simply abandoned hero society (even though he was a double spy). Hawks also talks to the league why he joined the MVA and uses his own story (somewhat of the truth of his life) how he feels like a bird trapped in a cage one that can't fly freely this can be interpreted in many ways. 1) he doesn't have the right to freely use his quirk to any extent he wants which is something that MVA stands for or 2) he feels trapped by his own life choices, him becoming a hero especially the number 2 and has a lot of eyes on him watching him like a circus animal with every move he makes so he puts on an act and never drops the mask.
Hawks and toga himiko . Toga himiko should of either been killed by hawks in place of twice which would of made him get more backlash by the public and make tokoyami question him even more considering that hawks somewhat mercilessly killed a 16 year old (the same age as tokoyami) in cold blood for justice so he could also do it to him. Or we should of gotten a hawks Vs toga battle in the final arc instead of a afo Vs hawks one. It would of made way more sense. Considering that hawks killed twice who is very dear to toga she should of had her eyes set on hawks death the minute she chose to join the lov and the final war. We should of gotten an intense and emotional battle between them were hawks has to come to terms that he didn't need to kill twice but he thought that it was the only option he had and he watches as toga uses twices quirk knowing that twices death was meaningless as toga is using his quirk in the way he feared it would be used. Hawks would be almost killed until ochako intervenes and has her battle with toga while hawks goes and fights alongside tokoyami.

Hawk's views on lady nagant. Lady nagant should of been hawk's mentor and he should of been her replacement. In canon hawks is only her replacement and I think it would of added more nuance and overall better writing if she was his mentor. I absolutely loved the parallels that those two shared and how they came out on different side of things however, I do think that we should of seen more of hawks getting the backhand treatment from the public considering that him killing twice was on live television. Honestly it surprised me that hawks killing twice isn't what the public was most upset with him about but they were upset with him having an abusive and villain father which honestly says a lot. I also think that they should of had more screentime to talk, hawks helped save lady nagant and she ended up asking him how he still has hope while he says that he is "optimistic". Iam not a huge fan of this moment and I think it could of been written better. Hawks and lady nagant are two sides of the same coin but dam did I hate hawks holding her burnt body and telling her that he was her replacement, it could of been handled better with hawks and her actually having somewhat of a fight and then some of the conversation happening after the explosion.

Hawks and the todoroki family . Oh boy I can feel that this is gonna be a long one. I found it interesting that hawks actually looked up and admired endeavour and I loved the parallels it gave both hawks and Dabi. However, I hated that hawks wasn't allowed to think or have any intropsection after hearing about what enji did or that he didn't go through a bit of a crisis over it. The fact that hawk's character has simply been reduced to enji Todorokis biggest supporter is my biggest problem with hawks. Dabi and hawks were very interesting to me (no I don't ship them) they're simply two sides of the same coin especially in the ways they act. Dabi is consistent on revenge whereas hawks is the opposite, Dabi hates enji whereas hawks admires enji and so on and so on. I do think that it would of been way more interesting if touya and kegio had actual history behind everything going on so I have always liked the HC that they met in the HPSC training scheme and became friends. It's plausible and makes Dabi saying hawk's real name way more meaningful than Dabi finding it out by threatening hawk's mother. I also think that both of them sharing a form of history yet not trusting eachother is hella interesting. Dabi was probably one of the only characters (aside from Izuku and tokoyami) that could see through some of hawks actions. Dabi knew what hawks will do yet never tried to intervene until it benefited him of course in true icon fashion that is. I also find hawk's relationship with the youngest todoroki interesting but I think it was done horribly. I would of liked to see more scenes with hawks and shoto talking about enji and touya or just scene of them that draw the similarities they have.

I would also have hawks be semi involved in the whole mutant racism plot because we need that to be fleshed out. Does hawks help donate to charities that help mutants? Is he against such people? Or doe hawks himself face such discrimination? To be honest I doubt it considering that his mutation is on the "prettier side" of the mutations and wouldn't face discrimination like shoji did
Hawks also had potential to interact with other characters like todoroki which would of highlighted his thoughts and development on the families matter. There is also Izuku midoriya who in a way is in somewhat of a similar circumstance to hawks and they could of had that whole is there another way to save villains like twice and shigaraki without killing them or is death the only way or just general conversation between the two considering that tokoyami was stated to praise izuku so much that hawks considered taking him as an intern. In one of the side comics you also had Izuku be somewhat suspicious of hawks and his abilities and it's also somewhat hinted in the main manga so it's interesting to have them have a conversation about that.
I personally think that hawks should of received concequences for his actions and one of them being hindered quirk use aka his wings don't grow back properly or everytime he uses them he can't use them to their fullest potential due to how injured he was by Dabis fire. Also, I hate how hawks being used by the commission is almost brought as a second thought, like when the HPSC fell we really didn't get much of hawk's personal reaction or thoughts or anything on the matter it seems like a quite empty point even though it had its potential to Futher develop hawks

In conclusion, hawks character introduction was pretty solid and I really liked some of the aspects that the series gave him like making him a walking contradiction to a certain extent but I do think that horikoshi development of hawks character was horrible and the fact that hawks lacks agency to do many things or reflect on things irritates me very much.

People Think Krist Is Homophobic (but He Isnât)
[TW: discussions of homophobia, death threats, "the rape filter joke", etc.]
Last September, I made a thread about The Whole Krist Thing, and I'd like to make a version here on Tumblr as well.
NOTE: My being a queer fan of Krist doesnât override the feelings or opinions of other queer people. I fully understand that time on this planet is limited and you don't need to exert precious energy into researching an actor. The reason I'm making this is to provide context for people who are new to the fandom or just wondering why Krist is known as homophobic.
- Why I Made the Twitter Thread -
As a queer international fan living abroad, my understanding of Thailand, Thai culture, and Thai language is extremely limited. Like most of us, I rely entirely on translations, both official and fan-made.
After watching SOTUS for the first time in 2020, I saw English-speaking fans claiming that Krist Perawat, the actor who played Arthit, was homophobic. And it wasn't just one or two people saying it. It was dozens. Hundreds. That called for some research. I loved Arthit, and Krist's empathetic portrayal of him didn't mesh with the angry guy in the Instagram photo I was seeing passed around.
I'd made a number of queer Peraya fans on Twitter, so I went to them individually and asked, "What's this about Krist being homophobic?" As queer fans who were knowledgable and openly fond of Krist, I wanted to hear their side of things.
They sent me links and photos and videos and translations that thoroughly explained how Krist's reputation for being homophobic had gotten so out of control. The problem: those things weren't compiled in one place, and they were all on Twitter where the Asian Peraya fandom is most active. Interfans, meanwhile, took the worst of everything they could find and compiled it into contextless videos for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc. Since the vast majority of Krist's fanbase is spread across Asia and many of them don't engage with the international fandom, it's no wonder to me that the homophobia thing has become so ubiquitous over the years.
It's a paradox where, in order to see the evidence of Krist's allyship, you kind of have to be a fan already. Or you have to know which keywords to use to navigate Twitter's nightmare of a search function (I know, Tumblr is worse). While I made that thread, I was regularly texting Peraya I knew things like, "Do you know where that one interview from 2019 is?" or, "Did you take a screenshot of the marriage equality post he made last month?"
The thread was difficult to make, and I'm a fan! What I know of Krist, I know because I've been a fan for three years and I have access to information that fans who have been here much longer can find.
I also procrastinated on making it for ages. I knew the amount of vitriol people hold against him, and I just wanted to enjoy my time in fandom quietly without calling waves of anger and hate to my carefully curated little corner of sunshine.
Then Krist was in a car accident.
And even though he was reportedly driving safely and slowly, Thailand is notorious for its poorly maintained roads and a high number of traffic accidents. Only months after receiving his first driver's license, Krist's car flipped upside down, and he had to reassure fans from the hospital that he was physically all right, just shaken.
Meanwhile, some international fans thought it was funny.
And that's when I started making the thread.
So, with all that said, let's start with Krist's allyship, because I know most of us agree that that's the bare minimum for an actor working in the BL industry and profiting off the queer community.
- Acts of Allyship -
In the early days of their SOTUS fame, Krist and Singto were interviewed about the LGBTQ+ community.
Acceptance and equality is something that the LGBTQ community still struggles to achieve up to this day. But both Singto and Krist believe that this should not be the case. âThey are just humans. They are like me, and they are like everyone,â Krist claims. Furthermore, he mentions that we should all be given the freedom to love anyone we want to love. âItâs just natural,â he says.
âThey donât have to understand now,â Singto says, referring to those who canât grasp same-sex relationships. âOne day, when they find their true love, they will realize that love is the same no matter the gender.â Krist adds, âGender is not relevant when it comes to love. But in case some people still donât understand this in time, whatâs important is that we all give due respect to each other at the end of the day.â
He's also educated himself in colors representative of the LGBTQ+ community.
When Krist and Singto attended an award ceremony for their photoshoot in the gay magazine Attitude, Krist shared a sentiment that he gave to a queer friend of his. "If no one accepts you, you can stay with me, because I accept you for who you are." [Paraphrased]
Despite Thailand's current government leaning on BL series as a new soft power, it's still very conservative, and its people are to this day fighting to see equal marriage recognized.
Krist often adds his voice to this fight on Instagram, specifically as someone who works in the BL industry. These were in 2021 and 2022:

And, like many young people in Thailand, Krist also seems to support the Move Forward party. Earlier this week, he used an orange heart in a tweet to encourage people to go out and vote in the most recent election. One of the many things the Move Forward party is pushing for is the legalization of same-sex marriage "with the same rights and responsibilities as their heterosexual peers", which the current military government actively does not.
- His Circle -
When I was making my Twitter thread, I hesitated before including mention of his queer friends and coworkers. I knew how that would sound, but in the same way I felt it was important to mention my own queerness, I also think it's important to highlight not just the presence of queer people in his life, but how comfortable they are with him.
As I said in my Twitter thread, having queer friends isnât indicative of anything substantial, but I do think itâs important to look at how those queer friends interact with him. If youâre queer, you know firsthand which friends youâd be physically affectionate with. The entertainment industry is its own world, of course, and the weight and meaning of relationships and connections can be different, but for all Krist's fame and popularity, he's not so famous or remotely powerful that faking a friendship with him is going to get them very far.
Among his queer friends, you've got Jennie who babies him, Godji who treats him like her son, and Oat who still adores him years after SOTUS. All of them queer, all of them visibly affectionate in a way that feels authentic, at least to me.

On the professional side of things, I think the best example of someone who wouldn't bother with him if he were homophobic is Golf Tanwarin Sukkhapisit. In 2022, Krist worked on The War of Flowers with Golf, a nonbinary queer activist, former MP, and director of The Eclipse. Since they're not just a queer person in the industry but a vocal queer activist who's made incredible progress for the community in their country, I value their judgment of his character.

Again, the reason I bring up these people isn't to say, "Look! Queer people! He knows some!"
It's to point out that he's close to them, and it disrespects their judgment to casually assume that theyâd cosy up to a homophobe.
It's a small point, yes, but it was important to me when I first became a fan to see that queer people who know him personally had "vetted" him.
- Growth -
For this next section, I'll address three things I see brought up most often: the rape filter joke, the rumor that Krist said he doesn't like watching men kiss, and the claim that he's only doing BL because rent is due.
1) The Rape Filter Joke
In 2017, Krist and Singto were on a live with (I think) two other friends. They were testing out different filters, and when they got to a blur effect, one of them (one of the friends, I think) said it looked like the filter they put over victims of sexual assault on the news. They all laughed, including Krist and Singto.
I can't find a video of the original event, but we do have a translation of the apology he gave in 2018, and the public apology he made in 2020 when the video resurfaced again.

While this is unfortunate, and it would be nice if he hadnât done it, Iâm more interested in how he responds to criticism and his growth afterward. The incident was in 2017, but even speaking on it in 2020, he didn't make excuses for himself.
He apologized, accepted culpability, educated himself, and has never repeated it.
2) Krist "Doesn't Like to Watch Men Kiss"
There's also a claim that goes around that Krist said he doesn't like to watch men kiss. But that isn't what he said.
The subtitled interview that this claim was taken from has been split into two parts, and I think a lot of people have only seen the first half, if they've seen either.
(Also, my deepest apologies, but I'm linking you to Twitter for the video clips.)
In the first clip, the hosts tease Krist about Singto's sex scene with another actor in Close Friends. I can't speak to the nuances of what Krist is saying in Thai, but in the subtitles, he's basically saying that as a guy, he doesn't want to watch stuff like that and just skips past Singto and his partner to one of the other couples, like the male-female pairs. With just this clip, I agree that it doesn't sound great.
But in the second clip, the hosts tease Krist until he admits that the "stuff" he doesn't want to watch is Singto specifically kissing people who aren't him. Krist's jealousy, especially when it comes to Singto, is a well-trod fanservice joke.
3) He's Doing BL Only for the Money
I mean, I have no idea, but it'd be very weird if this was true, because he hasn't been in a BL since 2018 (if you count Our Skyy), and he's doing very well for himself financially.
Listen, this is probably the least serious people get when they criticize him, but I'm including it because why not, this is already a thesis.
From what I understand based on actors' comments, BL roles don't make a lot of money for the actors. (Boun even quoted a surprisingly low daily salary recently, and I'll share it here if I find it again.) Of course, I imagine Krist has enough fame and clout that he gets paid more than most actors, but to be frank, he absolutely makes more from all his other work.
Apart from the acting work he's done, he hosts two music shows, he starred in a musical recently, GMM just flew him to Japan for the first leg of his Asia concert tour, he runs a restaurant with Wave, and he has a bunch of sponsorships. And that's off the top of my head. The car from his accident in 2021 was a luxury model, and he replaced it with another pretty soon afterward. I'm not bragging for him or anything, but the "he's just doing BL for the money" is an odd thing to say when he probably already earns more than most without doing it.
It would have been a better argument back in 2016 when Krist's family was deep in debt. Krist's said that his main motivation to join the entertainment industry back then was to pay off that debt for his family, and he did so with the money he made from SOTUS.
Krist has spoken in the past about wanting to do more BL roles, but GMM preferred that he work with Singto. Now that Singto's left GMM (likely to start his own agency), Krist is in Be My Favorite, so I think his explanation tracks.
It's also worth mentioning that you can do something for the money and also love what you do. In the case of SOTUS, Arthit wasn't just a role that made him money, he's the character who changed Krist's life. He honors Arthit to this day by always wearing the bracelet he wore to his audition and by naming his music studio "SUN St." after Arthit.

(This is a very minor point, but I don't think a homophobe would cherish a queer role to quite that extent even if it was their kick-off point. If anything, they'd probably try to bury the role and pretend their real success started later.)
- Perception of Sexuality -
I think the reason the IG story hits people so hard is because Krist's reaction makes it seem like he's horrified that people could even think he's gay. My understanding is that he was tired of people interrogating him about his sexuality.
Krist is very openly affectionate with the people he loves, regardless of gender, which is clear in the photos with his friends above. Thus, he's always been like that with Singto. They hug before every show, they sleep on each other, cuddle, what have you. All the stuff of people who have developed a tight bond over the years.
When Krist was asked if he was afraid that that would put off potential partners in the future (which, good god, the questions they're asked) Krist said he doesn't care how people perceive his sexuality.

This was in 2018, the year Our Skyy aired, and he's said similar things in passing before and since.
- Conclusion -
All of what I've posted here is just a slice of what's out there. This is just the stuff I could find with reliable English translations because I'm making this for an English-speaking audience. Krist's fans already know all of this, which is why he has queer fans in the first place, and a lot of them are just too tired by hate fatigue to keep correcting misinformation.
I'm not trying to get every person in the world to like Krist, I promise. He's not perfect. He's a loud mess, and while he has four cats who love him, they're also exhausted by him. I just happen to like loud, obnoxious people, especially when they're as kind as he is.
There are plenty of Thai actors I don't vibe with for any number of reasons ranging from serious to petty. You have my written permission to dislike some people.
The Instagram story he posted was a bad move, we're all agreed. He agrees. He's apologized multiple times over the years. Whether one accepts his apologies is each personâs right, and I understand if this is enough to turn people away.

I just hope it's clear that he's been a staunch ally of the queer community and remains so to this day.
Personally, I'm more upset about the question.

This isn't a question you ask anyone.
And this wasn't the first fan to ask him.
According to people who have been fans from the SOTUS era, Krist and Singto were both relentlessly dogged by fans about 1) their sexualities and 2) details about their relationship with each other. We've all likely seen it happen to actors today, but back in 2016, there weren't hundreds of BL actors vying for the spotlight, so the spotlight hit Krist and Singto in a way that we can't imagine today. Most of us, myself included, arrived in this fandom long after SOTUS's meteoric rise to popularity that ended up saving GMMTV from bankruptcy, but given how many fans still behave like they're entitled to know an actor's sexuality, I think it's safe to trust that it was relentless. Fans accusing Kit Connor of "queerbaiting" as recently as 2022 is proof of that.
At the end of the day, there are plenty of reasons to dislike Krist, just like there are to dislike any person on this planet. He's hyperactive, he's whiny, etc. He's not flawless, but I think he's more than shown through his actions that he isn't homophobic, either.
He's not some actor playing queer roles for clout. He's vocally supportive of queer rights, and he backed that up this week in the polls by voting for the most progressive party in his country who are actively pushing for marriage equality.
But like I said, you don't have to like him, so I'll end this post with a quote from a friend who doesn't like Krist for the funniest reason I've ever heard:
"I don't think Krist is homophobic. I just don't like him because he reminds me of every kindergartener who demanded my attention at the exact moment when I was carrying something that could spill â and then it did spill, and they laughed about it for five minutes."

On Responsibility in Judgment
With this piece though, it's on the author.
Thatâs exactly it.
What makes me angry about this manga, both internally and externally, is that people jump to conclusions, pass judgment, and accuse someoneâyet take no responsibility for it. Thatâs what frustrates me.
And more than anything, the author led things in that direction. That's what they expected the readers to do in the first place, and made what their own characters do.
What makes me angry is that they didnât take responsibility for it and just left it as it was. If they wanted to make a point out of it, this is NOT the way to go.
Itâs not that I think the author is that kind of person themselves, but there are people who enjoy doing this.
They act like theyâre the smartest, like theyâre above everyone else. As if they can manipulate the public however they want, sway peopleâs emotions like some kind of emotional magician or propagandist.
A storyteller, to some extent, will naturally have a direction they want to lead their audience in.
But sometimes, with certain people, I get the feeling that they truly believe they can manipulate others however they please and reshape their thoughts at will.
And the thing is, it actually works. It works far too well.
And when it does, these people get so full of themselves, thinking itâs all because theyâre brilliant.
But once you see through them, those kinds of people end up looking the most pathetic and ridiculous.
What I hate most are those who believe theyâre above others and look down on them. In my opinion, no one has the right to do that.
I recently watched the movie Mickey 17, and the politician couple in it reminded me of this. They believe that people follow them so easily because they themselves are great.
But if you watch the movie, you know how foolish they really are.
To avoid falling for people like thatâor for their way of thinkingâyou have to hold off on making snap judgments.
You need to have a firm sense of self, and your reasoning should come from within you.
That way, you take responsibility for your own judgments and thoughts, which naturally makes you more cautious and encourages you to examine things more carefully.
Just because everyone says someone is a villain doesnât make them a villain.
Just because everyone says someone is good doesnât make them good.
What truly matters is what they have actually done and what they actually think.
And I believe we need to see that for ourselves and judge accordingly.
Of course, the public does have insight, and when many people say something, itâs worth listening to.
Thereâs often some truth to it.
But in the case of this manga, proper information wasnât even provided from the start. Thereâs hardly any basis for judgment, and on top of that, logical explanations donât hold up.
Some things can only be explained by pulling from external mythological narratives.
If the story was left this vague and unclear, there must be a reason for it.
If it could have been explained with ordinary context, it never would have been presented this way in the first place.
The more serious an issue is, the more closely and thoroughly we need to examine itâuntil weâre certain. Only when we know for sure that someone is truly at fault can we hold them accountable with confidence.
Letâs say someone gets criticized harshly for something. Everyone believes they did it.
But what if they were falsely accused? What if, at the very least, their wrongdoing wasnât as severe as people assumed?
If I want to speak with confidence, I need to be well-informed. But the thing is, people sometimes just go along with the prevailing opinion and lash out at someoneâonly to later realize that the truth doesnât quite match their assumptions.
At that point, some people just shrug it off and walk away.
Others double down instead of admitting they were wrongâbecause by now, theyâve already invested in their stance. If their opinion is challenged, they feel vulnerable.
So rather than retracting their words, they justify it by saying, Well, they did do something wrong, didnât they?
In fact, I think people often avoid taking back their words.
I havenât lived that long, but Iâve seen this happen so many times.
Of course, since this is a manga, no real person is actually getting hurt. Which is such a relief...
Maybe thatâs why I feel more comfortable letting my emotions run high with discussing the matter.
And honestly, Iâm no exceptionâpeople in general donât like taking back their words once theyâve made up their minds.
Thatâs why we need to be cautious from the start, especially when speaking about others.
Because once you start making claims about someone else, the impact reaches beyond just yourself.
What really infuriates me about the way this author wrote the story is how irresponsible it is.
If they had clearly explained how the events unfolded, I would not have felt this intense, I just know what's happened!! They refuse to address it and it's so frustrating!!
Based on my analysis, for things to have turned out this way, it would mean:
Kamiki was originally truly good-hearted deity, but after losing his wife, his abilityâsomething that should have guided people toward the right pathâbecame fundamentally flawed.
As a result, he transformed into a catastrophe (Fatal) that ended up destroying everything around him.
Ai really was his wife. And heâs originally someone who wouldnât dream of harming her.
If anything, out of every single character in this manga, he's the one who loves and cherished Ai the most. He would have treasured her above all else.
But how many readers actually realize this?
How many people have even picked up on it?
At this point, I want to believe that many haveâbut it doesnât seem like it.
The author deliberately hid this, making sure people wouldnât notice.
And now they turn around and say, People just donât care about the truth.
But they are the one who obscured it in the first place.
And thatâthat is what I find so utterly unacceptable.
There are people who call Kamiki a yandere even now⊠Itâs just⊠and I don't think that would really change seeing how horrifying this manga ended.
I mean, itâs not entirely wrong, butâ it's not that flat.
Hereâs the thing. When there was mention that Kamiki has a noble or dignified soul, I immediately thought, Of course he does. I knew that in advance before that was brought up.
Aside from the fact that he lost his mind over Ai, his personality is actually far from ordinaryâin a good way.
Think about it. In the entire manga, have we ever seen him get angry at someone?
Even when people insult him, even when heâs mistreated, he just smilesâalmost excessively so.
Sometimes, he even praises the person who spoke badly about him, or tries to meet their expectations. Or he just blames himself.
Even when talking about someone like Ryosukeâthe guy who killed his wifeâhe spoke so gently:
"I thought he was a good person."
And because of that, people assumed he had some secret agenda or that he was the one who orchestrated the murder. But thatâs not itâŠ
Every action we actually see from him can be interpreted as kind, maybe even thoughtful.
This is deliberately hidden and misleading on purpose, as we donât get to see what he says in the phone calls and all, making him seem really suspicious, but judging from the other personâs reactions, he wasnât even speaking harshly. The things he said probably were pretty much sensible. Like, "Can we get back together?" or "Let's turn ourselves in", and he doesn't really push once it gets rejected.
And with Ai? He was so happy with her. Holding hands, smiling together.
More than anything, it's Ai herself who expresses she wanted to live with him forever, raise their child, support him.
She loved him. She smiled when she spoke about him.
Thatâs what made me start really analyzing him.
Because thatâs not the kind of reaction someone has toward a person who made their life miserable.
Why can't people see? Why don't people understand they must have been really happy with each other and it wasn't a toxic relationship they had??
But somehow, whenever Kamiki does something, the outcome does always turn into complete ruin.
Thatâs why heâs the Fatal, and thatâs why the song with the same title is about him.
Itâs because heâs Sarutahiko, the god of light who lost his wifeâand without Ai (lack of Ai), he was destroyed.
And Ai? Sheâs Ame-no-Uzume.
Honestly, I want Aqua, Akane, Ruby, Tsukuyomi, those directors, Ninoâall of themâto apologize to him.
I get annoyed.
Because they're villifying him, but I'm not sure how much they actually know about the guy.
The twins don't know, bc they never met or lived with him. They just start assuming he must have killed their mother but there was no solid base in their reasoning EVER. Until the end of the whole story!! There is no proof!! I'm not sure how much Akane's figured out of his character, it's guesses, the directors? I bet they have no idea how Ai and Hikaru's relationship was like so much either, because it is said in the movie arc that it's all speculation. Nobody except Ai knows about Kamiki as an individual. And that Ai, went as far as saying she wanted to live with him forever.
Calling him Aiâs enemy, saying they should never have met, calling him a monster, selfish, disgustingâ
But is that really true?
I donât think he ever did anything wrong to Ai.
I cannot imagine him harming her in any way.
And if he had, the story should have made that clear.
Please⊠I swearâ
Back in July, the moment the song dropped, when I saw his reaction to Aiâs videoâ
I knew.
I knew it. I started thinking maybe this guy just wanted to send Ai flowers, but something went terribly wrong resulting in her death,
I said that!!! I got that right!! I knew that was how it was going to play out!!!
Even after analyzing his psychology, this is just⊠the truth. It just is.
From the start, Kamikiâs life has been incredibly tragic. Everything he does ends in disaster because heâs become something he was never supposed to be.
He was supposed to guide people toward a safe and virtuous future. But now, everything he touches turns into misfortune.
He and Ai were meant to be together. He'd really have been fine if he had her and they could support one another. He loved his partner like the god he stands for. They're a fateful pair.
But after being abused and falling into despair, his very nature changed.
And thatâs where everything went wrong.
Right now, this isnât about me liking his character. Itâs justâwhen I look at the situation, this is what I see!
Isnât it only right to judge something after fully understanding it?
Shouldnât you know exactly what kind of person someone is before making claims about them?
But the characters in this manga⊠donât really seem to do so.
Even the protagonist twins and their allies seem to be doing this.
And the fact that the story just lets that slideâit bothers me. I even started feeling anxious because of this.
I thought, Am I the one whoâs wrong? If everyone else sees Kamiki as a monster, does that mean he deserves this treatment?
So I tried to just ignore it.
But thenâwhy do they call him noble?
Because honestly, I completely agree with that description!!!
Heâs incredibly patient. He never gets angry. His personality is genuinely kind.
Every time he meets his kids, he praises them.
And itâs not just for showâhe even does it when heâs alone, when no oneâs there to hear him.
That means he really means it.
If Ai hadnât died, he wouldnât have ended up like this.
But he is partially responsible for what happened afterward, because he changed into a fallen state in terms of nature.
After that, every time he and Ai got close again and got in touch, disaster followedâwithout him even realizing it.
From what I can tell, the protagonist thinks Kamiki did it on purpose.
But looking at the songs, I feel like Kamiki only started trying to reach Ai and started making reckless decisions, hazardous ones, even, after she died.
So no, Iâm not saying heâs completely innocent.
And I do think the protagonist had reasons to kill him.
But before that⊠I donât think he would have intended anything bad.
There are lyrics about forgetting, and he even says he didnât know.
And thatâs not a lie.
I hate the protagonist for this.
Iâm furious at the author.
Because in my opinion, this should have been clearly explained.
And I know why it wasnât.
And thatâs what makes me so angryâbecause this isnât just negligence.
This was intentional.
The anime production team definitely knows everything. Otherwise, they wouldnât even consider making a third season.
The fact that it ends with someone falling into the waterâthatâs because the god associated with Kamiki also died that way.
That means theyâre certain about what they're making and what's up.
That at the very least, this was a structured and somewhat logical progression, and they knew someone would catch onto it.
But honestly, I donât want a third season of this anime, because the way this series treats its audience is disrespectful.
Theyâre using the readers as proof to support their own claims, while they didnât even handle the storyâs themes properly.
And instead of addressing what actually happened, they just covered it upâ
Then made Akane call Kamiki some ultimate villain like it was fact.
Thatâs why, to be honest, I donât have a good impression of either Akane or Aqua.
What exactly did those two even talk about?
How much did they actually know about the situation while acting all serious?
I donât think they did the right thing.
The author doesn't show us about anything they say near the end when they meet up, right? If what they did is logical and justifiable, it's just better to see their logic in full and let the readers understand what's going on but they refuse to do it. That's because those two are already completely under the premise of Kamiki having been in the wrong. There's no point of having to show that.
And sure, they stopped Ruby from being stabbed, butâ
Honestly, that whole sequence couldâve played out just like what happened with Ai.
Maybe Kamikiâs ability had already broken down, so things unraveled like that?
Because I do think he wouldn't have said a whole lot. In fact, Nino lashes out against the guy and acts on her own accord and that's what's led to her assault attempt.
Whether this sort of outcome was intentional or not for KamikiâI donât know. But he told Aqua to watch Ruby perform at the dome... That can't happen if Ruby was harmed there...
Listen. That guy? He deals with the future.
If heâd really intended to destroy the protagonistâs side, he couldâve done it any time he wanted.
And not just thatâif heâd been full of hatred, rage, and a desire to kill or erase things, do you really think it wouldâve ended at just this?
In the end, all he wanted was to see Ai again.
That was the only thing he wished for.
And when Aqua stabbed himself, Kamikiâs expression clearly darkened.
He was shaken. It wasn't something he wanted.
He didnât resist or dodgeâ it was more like he couldn't. He tried to persuade Aqua to go back. He told Aqua to stop, don't do it!
That says a lot.
This guy always aimed the blame at himself. He even blames himself for having been assaulted as a child, it's a constant pattern he has!!
Aiâs death?
He thought it was his fault. He thought he killed her.
He believed he deserved punishment.
He thought he shouldâve been the one to die.
He had already accepted death.
Shouldnât things have been sorted out properly before deciding whether to kill or spare someone?
But instead, they just rushed through it.
And that meansâeven from Aquaâs side, this wasnât a fully justified act.
If we had seen Kamikiâs full story, how good would Aqua still look? I wonder. That's why he doesn't get the chance to ever speak for himself. I bet it'd make Aqua look really bad if he ever got a chance to. It'd shake the whole narrative of "kill the evil dad!"right.
I am angry at Aqua. I wasnât before.
But really, it's the author who chose to handle it this way.
They took multiple breaks, deliberately stretching things out to frame it like this. Things being this ambiguous? It's them tossing the ball to the reader and making it their responsibility to get what's going on or not, it's not fair.
People know by now, don't they? They understand? That this is what's been happening? Let's not play into this author's hands!
It was just too exhausting...

It bothers me a little bit when people act like Pickel would be a jerk to Taco because he didn't accept Taco's apology.
Sure they aren't on good terms but he's not an asshole he's basically just a regular guy who got caught up in Taco's act because he was one of the people who wasn't an bitch to her s1 act.
I was reading a fic (for the tacomic because I have brain worms) and Taco hits her head, passes out, Pickle says she deserves it, Mic yells at him and he punches her in the face (also she starts bleeding and he just doesn't care that he made someone unconscious bleed).
I don't mean to rip on that author in paticular, that's just an example but he wouldn't do that, he has the right to reject her apology but he isn't a horrible person who'd leave her if she was seriously injured or genuinely struggling.
Hi there!!!!^^ Welcome, and thank you for submitting an ask!!!! :)
Gah, you're so right. I thoroughly disagree with the notion that Pickle would enjoy seeing Taco hurt or suffering. He would not!!! He wouldn't be mean to her at all!! At most I can see him making a snide comment or two, to himself or maybe Knife, if he's upset at her while she's around. He's been really hurt by her, he doesn't want to forgive her or be friends with her again, but he would never harm her, wish her harm, or enjoy her being harmed, at this point. Intrusive-y, very emotional thoughts at the very beginning when he was at his lowest due to her betrayal, he may have had a stray thought, but that's in a normal person-who-is-deeply-hurt way rather than him actually wanting to go through with it.
Yeah I agree I must say the line. He would not fucking say that. Nor would he do that, I'd agree that's very out of character for him.
Though also yes, no shame to that author!!! Out of character can work for some plots, especially rollercoaster-type emotional ones and in fanfictions! Even if I prefer more in-character things I am not immune to it. Sometimes I think characters should kiss before they would realistically be at that stage in their relationship in the plot, yeah? We all do it, I think.
But I agree with your assessment that Pickle would not actually do such a thing. He may not want to forgive her or want a relationship with her but he would not harm her nor ignore her if she was harmed.
#inanimate insanity#ii taco#taco ii#loomy's answers#loomy's metas#pickle ii#ii pickle#this is no shame to the author of that fic tho i want to emphasize#ive probably put some ooc stuff on this blog im quite the idiot#but i have fun and thats what matters i think^^

As someone who has watched a few Arthurian adaptations, I was immediately intrigued by âGwen & Art are not in loveâ by Lex Croucher.
I mean ur telling me we get the Arthurian myths in combination with a medieval queer love story ?!
Even though I nowadays tend to have problems starting printed literature this one flew by and I finished reading in the span of a day and a bit.
To start not only is the story great but Iâm also a big fan of the cover art <3
We get not only the exploration of the queer love stories between Gwen & Bridget and Art & Gabriel but also growing Friendships and some battle action fitting for the Middle Ages.
Next to the fighting it does also have some minor alcohol abuse and partly deals with death. And since itâs the Middle Ages and people just love hating other people, the mentions of queerness etc are not always positive.
Im personally a big fan of how all the relationships evolve and the people change :)
Spoilers for the plot of the book!
Little rant from me :|
Although it was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, I must admit that the typical plot of:
character a either did something accidentally wrong or is said to have done something wrong (although thatâs false) and character b immediately believing that and now judging/having a grudge against/hating character a. Which then only confuses character a who doesnât get any information from anyone around them to what theyâre said to have done wrong and is jsut lost and hurt. Especially after things are jsut starting to look right between the characters.
Itâs not that it is that unbelievable that it happens (itâs here and there) but more that sometimes it just annuls like every character growth the two or more characters had together and after there is never really a apology or an acknowledgment of this being hurtful to character a, since it jsut confirms taht character b would be easily able to believe this about character a. And my biggest fight with this trope is that the friend of always tend to just side with character b although theyâre often both theyâre friends or even character aâs friends.
Luckily itâs not that big of a part on the book but it tends to really ick me when reading something which is really great.
Personally I just loved how Arthur helped both siblings more or less take some responsibility and self control for their own desires and life wishes. It was interesting to see the differences in how they acted around being queer, since they were raised very similar but oh so different.
Also just some special mention of my boy Sidney: heâs not only the most loyal person in the story but also is just a really amazing best friend to Arthur all while he also has his own little love story :)
It may be extremely simple but I loves the conversation Art and Sidney had about the pendant (âitâs cold and black jsut like my heartâ âno, your heart is soft and yellow, like marzipanâđ)
Some other favourites of mine: we have a map of Camelot :), Bridgetâs witch friend, the court magician, Excalibur nine đââïž, everyone in the castle thinking Gwen and art were getting intimate, Gabrielâs more or less obsession with birds, background gay King Arthur/Lancelot, Agnes <3
Sometimes it was really frustrating how oblivious and sheltered Gwen was but seeing that she had not had any friends (not sure if it was explained) and also did not leave the castle, it seems realistic enough that she turned out like this. Still hard to read at a few instances. But I could definitely see how she and Gabriel are siblings as they both are really afraid of dancing out of line.
Also Arthur definitely had enough self loathing and alcohol issues for the both of them. Like, my guy, when are u sober. And also they both were immature when they were younger since theyâre were children (duh) but also like how should gwen have known taht ur dad is a fcking ass (just my opinion )
I definitely do love all of the main cast so that is not meant to bash any one of them. Theyâre just realistic and all have flaws (although Iâm not sure about Bridget she is pretty perfect :3 only female knight, noble ladies tend to fall in love with her, strong and capable, knows her boundaries (especially with not wanting to be treated like a secondary thought by her lovers)and she wields Excalibur nine) and good features. :)
Not always the biggest fan of open endings but I think here it does work well although I would have loved to see the speech and followed reaction đ€·đ» maybe we would have seen Merlin and Morgana get back from their sabbatical hm
Spoiler ending here!
So I know it sounds negative at a few instances but do read the book itâs great. I think itâs a very easily enjoyable story that really pulls u in and makes u feel as part of the group. :))
Thsi is not eloquent or the best review in any way just me somehow bringing my feelings and thoughts to screen :) đȘŒđȘ»

Frauds and Festivities
Summary: You and your boyfriend have been drifting away for the past couple of weeks. It's god-awful timing though, as the planned holiday trip with your friend creeps around the corner. After deciding to stick it out through the holidays, you manage to get on each other's nerves more than ever before, but you must find a way to keep up the act. Pairing: Jongho x afab!Reader Genre: angst, smut, one-shot, collab Tropes: established relationship, break-up fic, forced proximity/only one bed, loveless lust, lovers to FWBs, falling out of love Word Count: 5.3K Contains: cursing, alcohol, some discussion of difficult emotions, pet names (babe, baby, sir, good girl), teasing, (very slight) predator/prey dynamic, switch!Jongho, switch!reader, thigh riding, praise, marking, biting, hair pulling, choking, rough sex, unprotected sex, clit play, breast/nipple play, overstimulation, creampie, begging, handjob, blowjob A/N: Welcome to Our second submission to the 16 Days of Smutmas! Please be sure to check out all the other works in the masterlist, as it's such an amazing collection of writers <3 (also this one isnât as thoroughly edited as usual, so apologies for any mistakes!)
"I can't keep doing this!" Pushing back your chair, you scream.
You break the awkward silence at dinner, finally sick of acting like you and your boyfriend have been perfectly fine these past few weeks. How can you be in a relationship if the time between you is in a tense silence for more than half the time? Not to mention the fact that you fight whenever you do speak, sometimes over the most minimal things.
As your boyfriend continues eating and ignoring you, you continue, "How can you act like everything is fine? This isn't normal! We actually used enjoy each other's presence, you know?! Say something, for fuck's sake!"
Jongho slowly looks up at you. He finishes chewing before calmly speaking, "There's no way we can break up yet. We both put money towards the trip next week, and it's non-refundable. Unless you pay me for my portion, I'm still going. And I doubt you'll waste your money by dropping out either."
"Shit." You plop back into your chair as you realize his point.
You can't ruin the mood of the trip by breaking up, not when everyone is going with their respective partners. And he's right, you're both too stubborn to lose money by dropping out or paying the other to stay home.
"How are we going to do this then?"
With a shrug, Jongho replies, "I'm always well composed, and it can't be that hard to act like we still love each other. We loved each other for over two years now, so we know how it should work. As long as you stay composed when the others are around, we should be fine."
Fuming at his insistence that you're solely at fault, you bite back, "Then don't push buttons. I'm fine as long as you don't tick me off. Let's not meet up again until the day we leave for the trip, so we have some peace and quiet before it."
Agreeing with your plan, Jongho returns to finishing his dinner in silence. You clean up your plate and head to your room, asking your boyfriend to clean up his plate and see himself out whenever he finishes eating. You sit on the edge of your bed, silently reading your webcomics and listening to the sounds of dishes clinking in the kitchen sink. As you hear your front door close, you let out a sigh and throw yourself back against the plush bedding.
"We just have to pretend to still love each other." You say it in a way that reeks of desperation, as if trying to convince yourself that it won't be too hard.
In reality, you probably fell out of love with Jongho last month. Nothing happened to cause it - nothing you can pinpoint, at least - but you both felt it so clearly. There's no way of even knowing who lost feelings first; it happened around the same time. People always preach that there's no such thing as a mutual breakup, but this has to be the closest thing to it, right? Granted, you aren't exactly broken up yet, so it can't count when things might change.
Your week passes far too quickly. The calm, quiet week places you in such a good mood, but you remember that you'll be acting for the next four days, so you have to pack and mentally prepare yourself for the journey. To make things more believable, Jongho suggests driving up to the lodge together. Although you'd rather not, putting on a convincing act from the start takes precedence over your feelings.
When he pulls up to your house, he doesn't bother getting out to greet you. With a honk, you know he's arrived. He pops the trunk from the inside, letting you load your luggage yourself. As you climb into the passenger's seat, the radio greets you with some of his favorite tunes. Thankfully, you still enjoy the same music, otherwise you'd be annoyed before having to start your act. The drive up into the mountains takes a couple of hours, and you ignore each other the whole time, both desperately trying to extend the peace from the week.
As Jongho pulls into the parking lot, he finally speaks to you, "Are we ready? How deep are we playing it?"
"Won't it be better for everyone if we keep it simple? Maybe a couple pet name calls and minimal PDA when it's expected? That way, they won't be too shocked when we break up after this, since the love was fading even on the trip."
"That sounds good to me. I'd rather not do more than I have to, so that works."
He gets out of the car, and the act begins. Despite still having to walk over to the cabin, he helps unload all the bags. You follow his lead by playfully leaning into him as you thank him for his help. He locks the car, and you walk together to the cabin where your friends await. You don't even reach the entrance before hearing your best friend excitedly call out to you.
"Y/N! Jongho!" She flings the door open and rushes over to you, grabbing hold of one of the bags in your hands, "Here, lemme help with that."
You can already recognize the effects of alcohol on her - her cheeks flushed, her breath tainted, and her energy spiked to its peak. However, she keeps her balance well, and she isn't slurring her words, so you guess that she's only had a couple of drinks so far.
As you enter the holiday home, everyone else greets you and your boyfriend from their positions in the room. After greeting everyone and some basic small talk about the drive, Jongho dismisses you both to set your luggage in your bedroom. When he asks which room to go to, the whole group answers with a few seconds of silence.
"About that..." Mingi begins as he nervously scratches the back of his head and avoids Jongho's gaze.
"We better have rooms. This was booked so long ago; there's no way it was fucked up."
"Don't worry, there's a room for you. It's just that this cabin only three bedrooms in the main house. You guys were the last to get here, so the only room left is in the guest house outside."
Before Jongho erupts, San comments, "It's a full unit, so it's better in some ways! Personal little kitchen, personal bathroom, and all the privacy you could ask for! All you have to do is take a short walk outside - it's not even a full minute walk, so it shouldn't be too bad."
To everyone's surprise, Jongho simply shrugs before grabbing his bags and heading through the house to the back door. You follow a few steps behind, trying to catch up. As you reach the guest home, you find it nicer than you expected. San was right; this might just be better.
He unpacks a few items before heading back to the party, leaving you alone in the guest house.
"So much for being a couple, I guess." You retort while putting your bags on the opposite side of the bed.
Although there's only one bed, it's big enough that it shouldn't bug you to share with him. You only take a little bit of time in the room before meeting with the group again. Before saying a word to anybody, you pour yourself a drink, mixing a fun alcoholic drink to ease your stress about the situation. You drink some of it before joining the crowd and put on a smile as you reach them, listening in to the active conversation without adding much input. As much as you enjoy the time with your friends, the stress of keeping up your facade keeps itching at the back of your mind.
As the first night passes with drunken talk and playing catch up with everyone's lives, you and Jongho don't have much to do with each other. The groups split into the girls and the boys naturally, and only a couple of quickly fleeting conversations even mention the two of you. Thanks to the alcohol, the topics change on a dime, and you end the night by retiring to the guest house without any issues.
As the door shuts behind you, you mumble, "Only three more days. It can't be that bad."
"Don't hate me too bad; there's still only the one bed."
Jumping from the shock of hearing Jongho's voice, you walk towards the bedroom to continue the conversation, "You say that as if we have to keep up the act in here. Just choose a side and stay on it. I'll do the same."
"Awe, we aren't keeping up the act? How boring." His voice is riddled with sarcasm, and he sits down on one side of the bed with a distinct lack of care.
You roll your eyes as you dig through your suitcase for a set of pajamas. You announce that you're going to shower before bed and walk into the bathroom. While you shower, you let your mind wander back through your memories with him. They were mostly good, and it makes your heart sting. You try to figure out when everything shifted or why you fell out of love with each other, and you end up staying in the shower longer than planned because of it.
When you walk back into the bedroom, the atmosphere has completely changed. The disgust and anger shifted, and you're now greeted by somberness. As you sit on the bed, Jongho breaks the silence and admits to thinking of similar things.
"Why'd we stop loving each other? What happened?"
"You were reliving the past, too, huh?"
Turning to look at each other, your eyes meet a reddened pair staring sadly back at you. He had been crying while you were in the shower. With another pang in your chest, you also feel the pain welling up in your throat.
"We weren't bad to each other. Why did we have to fall out of love? That's some sick and twisted joke by fate." The strain in his chest appears through the cracks in his voice and the overall angry tone.
"It's too bad we can't change it. We don't know how it happened, but I don't think we can just love each other again. We stopped being good to each other because of it, so we kept falling further apart."
"Yeah, you're right. It just... sucks."
The air remains thick until you both fall asleep, and neither of you even hints at the conversation as morning arrives. You walk into the main house together, linking hands as you enter the door and see the other couples clinging to one another. With some of them, they don't even try to hide what the alcohol and bed-sharing resulted in, their after-sex glow far too clear in your eyes. Jongho must notice too, as his grip on your hand tenses when the others get lovey-dovey in front of him.
"How was your night, guys?" One of the bubbly girls jumps in front of you to ask, prodding you with a suggestive tone painting her words, "Did you sleep well together? Enjoy the shared bed?"
Putting on a happier tone than you expected, Jongho responds, "The bed was super soft! Especially with the alcohol in my system, I fell asleep super fast. I think Y/N was the same way. Right, babe?"
After you smile and nod, she understands that you guys didn't take part in the same events behind closed doors. She lowers her energy a bit in a belated attempt to hide the glow, "Oh, that sounds great! I'm glad you got lots of sleep. It'll help with the events today - they can be draining, for sure."
"Oh right, we're hitting the slopes today. I nearly forgot!" You exclaim, "When are we heading over?"
"Mingi and Daisy are making everyone breakfast, so we'll head over a bit after we eat, if you guys are okay with that."
You both confirm, and she goes to check how much longer the food will take, leaving you and Jongho momentarily alone in the living room. Sitting down together on the couch, you stop holding hands. Jongho rubs his palm on his pants to remove the sweat before placing it on your thigh to keep up the act.
You type up a quick note on your phone, joking about how he's doing more than you expected and must still love you. You lean into him as you show him, but he scoffs at it, rolling his eyes and muttering that you're ridiculous under his breath in case anyone walks in.
"Alright, lovebirds, come eat! Food's ready!" Daisy announces as she and her boyfriend carry the plates of freshly cooked food to the dining table. As everyone gathers there, they begin showering the couple with compliments about how good the food looks and smells. The breakfast is calmer than expected as everyone focuses on eating, and everyone quickly breaks off into their rooms after finishing up to prepare for the trip to the lift.
For a group of your size, you need two trips to get up to the lift via the snowmobiles provided. You and Jongho get paired with Yeosang and Krys for the second trip, so the ride isn't too bad. Your best friend jokes about how the lift is a cute spot for a proposal since it'll just be the couple, but Yeosang asks who she thinks is planning to get engaged. Krys pouts about his reaction, obviously hoping for a proposal on this trip.
"Come on, Yeosang. You guys have been together forever now. You still aren't getting married yet?" You poke at him to help your friend.
"You act like you and Jongho haven't been together nearly the same time as us. Three years isn't that long, and you're only a few months behind us. Are you planning for an engagement yet?"
You can feel Jongho's frustration at you for commenting as if he'd known it would backfire. As his grip on your hand tightens through the gloves, he silently threatens you to say something fitting.
"No, we aren't even living together though. You've gone through two years of living together. You're years ahead of us, in that respect."
Unable to come up with a comeback, Yeosang sits in silence for the rest of the rife. Krys smiles and quietly thanks you for jumping in.
As you reach the destination, you see Mingi and Daisy jump onto the ever-moving ski lift, decked out in their gear. Neither you nor Jongho are big skiers, so you rent out snowboards instead. Yeosang jokes that you should've gotten a couple's sled instead, but you both ignore him as you put on the gear. Krys pushes her boyfriend to the lift as they finish, waving goodbye to you.
"See you both later! Have fun!"
Left alone with Jongho again, you take your time as you get ready but still finish before him. Looking over, you notice his hands shaking.
"You okay, Jongho? You're shaking."
"You're really riding the edge, aren't you? Did you even think before jumping into their little spat?"
Shocked that he's still upset about it, you scoff, "No way you're so upset about that to be shaking. I even made up for my mistake pretty well."
"Yeah, through a stroke of good luck. But why put yourself into the position in the first place? Come on, Y/N, think a little!"
At this point, you're pretty close together, yelling into each other's faces. Mingi skis past, stopping himself and turning back to the two of you to ask why you aren't heading up already. Thinking quickly, Jongho grabs your collar and pulls you in for a kiss as if he didn't hear his friend. As Daisy joins, she coos about how cute Jongho is, asking her boyfriend why he isn't that sweet in public. As they begin flirting, Jongho drags you to the lift to escape, hoping to avoid any more questions from them. As much as you'd like to slap him for the sudden kiss, you hold yourself back.
"Sorry. I didn't know what else to do." Jongho confesses after half of the lift ride passes.
"Don't worry. I know you're only keeping up the act."
As you hop off the lift at the top of the mountain, you let Jongho begin his descent first. Your mind clouds due to the kiss. It brings back good memories, filling your lips with a bittersweet taste. Shaking your thoughts away, you begin heading down the trail, weaving between trees and choosing a path that'll give you more adrenaline. You have to stop hard at the end and nearly fall over, but you stabilize yourself enough to only wobble.
"Jongho, go help your adventurous girlfriend! She nearly fell!"
"It's her fault for doing that path!" He screams back as he walks up to you with his hand outstretched for you.
You hold onto his arm to balance yourself as you dismount the board. You lean down to pick up the board, but Jongho pulls you upright. He then leans over to pick it up himself, carrying the board under one arm as he keeps you on his other.
The day continues in a similar fashion until all of the activity makes everyone hungry. After a short debate over eating at the ski lodge or heading back to the cabin, everyone files into the lodge, quickly unwrapping layers of clothing in the warm, cozy quarters. You enjoy good food and conversation before braving the freezing weather again to travel back to the cabin. Once back, everyone heads directly to their rooms, beat after the energy spent throughout the past several hours.
You follow Jongho into the backyard with thoughts of the kiss coming back into mind. Alone with him, you can't get rid of them, so you decide to talk about it instead.
"Jongho, what happened when you kissed me earlier? You tensed up shortly after; was something bugging you about it?"
After a short silence, he admits, "The spark is still there. It drove me mad to feel that again after so long."
"Well, we aren't broken up quite yet. We can live out the spark one last time if you want."
Meeting his gaze, you find a boy you haven't seen in a while - one with a look of joy to hear words falling from your lips, and one with excitement of the idea of having you one last time.
"You want to?"
"I wouldn't have suggested it if it wasn't something I was open to, Jongho. You know me at least that well."
Rather than responding, Jongho presses his lips against yours once again. The step forward makes you instinctively step back, hitting the wall in the process. He places one hand against the wall by your head and slides the other around your waist. As you lean back into the wall, he leans into you, pressing his body firmly against yours. Draping your arms over his shoulders, you feel all of the tenseness from earlier wash away thanks to the kiss. As his cock hardens, trying to push out of his pants, he growls at the lack of space.
He pulls away momentarily to undo his pants, but he commands you onto the bed with a simple nod in the right direction. You sit on the edge of the bed and look up at him with innocent eyes as he approaches. When he finally kicks off his pants and stands in front of you, he grabs you by the chin and smirks down at you.
"Oh, are you being good today?"
"I'm always good, sir."
"Of course, baby, how could I forget?"
He leans down and places a quick peck on your lips before straightening again. You watch as he deliberates with himself over what he wants to do to you. You see the moment he decides as his eyes darken and his smirk twists up ever-so-slightly.
"What do you want right now, baby?"
"You, sir. All of you."
"Then lie down. Let's get started. It's going to be a long night if you want all of me."
You scoot back and follow his instructions without a fight. He climbs onto the bed, hovering over you with hunger in his eyes. Slowly, he leans in and kisses your neck, paying attention to everything he does. You already know he wants to drive you insane, and you also know that there's nothing you can do to prevent that outcome. As he continues his slow, drawn-out worship of your exposed skin, you close your eyes and embrace the sensations. You focus so much that you almost miss his words as he whispers his next command into your ear.
"Take it off. All of it."
He moves to the side, eyeing you like prey as you remove your shirt and then slide off your pants. He swallows back saliva as you unhook your bra and let your breasts fall freely. In striking contrast to his recent looks of hatred, the craving look of a predator makes your heart race and adrenaline pump. You feel on cloud nine as you slide your panties down your legs and hear him grunt out at his view. Even if the love is long gone, the lust definitely remains.
He lets you sit there on display all pretty for him for what feels like forever, but you know better than to beg for his touch, even if the cold air perks your nipples and sends shivers up your body. When he finally stops staring at you, he sits against the headboard and taps his thigh. You quickly sit on his thigh with your hands on his shoulders. Guiding your chin to him, he envelopes you in a deep kiss. You don't even notice his hands slowly dropping down to your waist until he grips tightly. His lips fall to your neck and then your chest while his hands guide you to rub yourself along his thigh.
When he feels his thigh get wet from your actions, he smirks and flexes, earning a yelp from you. He pushes your hips down into him more, making you experience even more of the friction against him. He continues to casually cover your upper body in kisses and hickets as if he isn't pushing you dangerously close to the edge on his thigh.
"Jongho~"
"Shh... I know, baby. You're close, I know. Don't be all whiny about it."
He removes his hands and tells you to lie down on your stomach. You hug one of the pillows to your face, excited but terrified to know what he'll do next. When you feel his hands explore your back, the tingles make you tense up.
"What's wrong, Y/N? Scared?" There's a sinister tone to his words as if he hopes that you're afraid.
He begins massaging the tenseness out of your back, kissing in between to give his hands short breaks. Suddenly, you feel him lift your crotch, and his thick cock grazes your inner thigh slightly. You don't know when he stripped out of the rest of his clothing, but you feel his naked chest as he leans in to kiss your shoulder and whisper into your ear.
"Now, be a good girl and take it all for me, okay?"
You nod into the pillow, but he doesn't pay attention. Instead, he's busy lining himself up properly. Slowly, he pushes inside, keeping a slow but steady pace until he bottoms out. You bite the pillow as his girth stretches you out. After not indulging for over a month, the pain burns through you more than usual, but Jongho lets his lust drive him. He trusts that you'll use the established safewords if you need him to stop or slow down, so he immediately begins fucking you.
This lust-driven sex feels much more carnal, nothing like the sex you had when you loved each other. Fueled by the mutual desire of one final hurrah, you enjoy the rough grabbing and hard thrusts.
"Fuck. You're so good."
He slides one hand up your back, knotting it into the hair at your nape. He uses it to pull you up against him. With your back against his chest, he lets go of your hair and snakes his hand around to the front of you. Holding onto your neck, he aggressively thrusts up into you. As he steadies his control, he brings his other hand around to your front. After a bit of blind searching, his thumb finds its place on your clit.
With the added pressure to your clit, you tap on the hand around your neck, signaling that you need to breathe freely. He moves that hand down to your boobs, grabbing one tightly and using his long fingers to rub your nipple. Being stimulated in so many places, you begin to lose yourself, muttering out nonsense in your moans.
"That's it, Y/N. You're taking it so well. Just a little bit more, baby. You're almost there. I can feel it."
Sure enough, you feel your climax approaching. Without letting up on anything, he bites down on your shoulder. The unexpected sensation sends you straight into your orgasm. You shake as it overtakes you, and you feel his moans vibrate against your collarbone as your walls tighten around him. His thrusting becomes rushes, with short, quick thrusts to bring him over the edge as well. Bodies flush against each other, you feel him fill you up as he finishes.
He removes his mouth from your shoulder first, with a curse under his breath over the wonderful feeling. After, he slowly pulls out of you and guides you to lie down next to each other in bed. For a while, the only sounds in the room are your combined panting, but Jongho breaks the silence with a lighthearted jest.
"A spark of lust... What a fun thing, that is."
"Y'know what? I think it might be easier to pretend to love you after that."
After he cracks up at your statement, he throws himself under the blankets, exclaiming, "We'll see. Just don't get on my nerves. Good night, Y/N."
Surprisingly, you both cruise through the day. You're able to joke, hold hands, and even kiss without feeling any way about it. San jokes that it took an extra day for you guys to adjust to the room, but he points out how clear it is that you've broken in the bed. Jongho begins walking towards him without comment, scaring the louder boy away quickly. But even that interaction was all in good fun. When you turn in for the night, you can't help but smile at the fun day. As Jongho joins in, you comment jokingly.
"Maybe San's right. It was obvious we did much better today. We can't let ourselves get sexually frustrated, or it'll make the mission harder."
"I know you're not asking for more after complaining about being sore this morning."
"I'm just saying. No need to get fussy about it, Jongho. Or maybe... Are you already getting sexually frustrated again?" You look at him with a devious smile, but he doesn't respond, so you continue, "Do you need me to help you again? Oh, poor baby!"
Quietly, he asks, "Are you gonna help, or are you just gonna be mean?"
"Oh, my poor baby. Lay down. I'll help you."
You slyly hook your thumbs onto his waistband as you guide him onto the bed. When he scoots back, his pants and underwear slide off with ease. Although he's slightly embarrassed by the sudden nakedness, he doesn't comment. Instead, he silently lets you pull the clothing fully off him before climbing onto the bed to hover over him.
"You're right, though. If I take you again, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get up tomorrow. I guess I'll have to figure out some other way to help."
"Y/N, please, just touch me. Please, no more teasing."
"Oh, poor baby. You're that needy, Jongho? Needy enough to beg for me to touch you?"
Softly you place your hand on the tip of his dick, keeping your eyes on his face the whole time. You revel in his reactions as you rub your palm over his tip with the leaking precum acting as a bit of lube. When you progress down to stroke his dick, you watch his eyes roll back into his head, encouraging you without even realizing it. While he's momentarily blinded by the pleasure, you lean in and take his tip into your mouth. Purely reactionary, Jongho thrusts his hips up into you, but you've had enough experience to predict it and hold him down. However, you notice just how needy he is by his whiny moans, so you decide to give him a quick release - just like he wants.
Quickly bobbing your head and moving your hand in unison, you do everything exactly how you know he likes it best. You ignore the whiny mess spewing from his lips and focus hard on your task, trying to bring him to orgasm in record time. Feeling the usual signs that he's close, you gain a sense of satisfaction in knowing you can still mess him up this quickly and easily. You focus on keeping the pace the same despite it being a bit faster than usual. When he pushes your head down and finishes down your throat, you emerge proud of yourself.
"Did that help?"
Already half asleep after the wave of pleasure, he only slightly nods before passing out. You laugh at the exhausted man before doing your nightly routine and joining him in sleep.
Waking up on the dawn of the final day, you feel a weird sensation overtake you. Grief? Not quite, but something similar, for sure. As you realize that today marks the last day of the trip and your relationship, that sad feeling washes over you from the moment you wake up. Even though you've known the day was coming, it still feels strange to let go, especially after you were able to tolerate each other over the past couple of days. When you join your friends, they're all hugging and crying, claiming that they don't want to return to their regular day-to-day lives. You find it funny to watch, as they take frequent vacations anyway. You and Jongho awkwardly stand there, holding hands and watching the sobbing cuddle huddle.
Before they can pull you in, Jongho claims that he wants to beat traffic, so you two will be heading home first. This quickly pulls everyone apart to say their goodbyes, and you head out to the car within ten minutes. Once there, that overwhelming feeling envelopes the air between you. Neither of you brings up the elephant in the room until you nearly reach your house.
"So, is this officially where we call it?" You ask as he turns down your street.
"I guess it has to be, right? Without the love, there wouldn't be much of a relationship."
"Yeah... We'd make better friends with benefits at this point."
After a short silence, he parks the car in front of your home and turns to you, "Should we?"
"I'd be down for it, honestly."
"Then let's do that. We're no longer in a relationship, but we can still reach out for hook ups."
"Deal."

[A Most Splendid Prank] - Rustica SR Card Story Translation

Ft. White
A Trick For Our Friendship - Chapter 1
[Trial Grounds]

White: Goodness me. Wherever did that accursed thing go?
Rustica: What are you looking for, Lord White?
White: Is that you, Rustica? Have you seen Voluptas anywhere?
Rustica: Voluptas? Iâm afraid I havenât.
White: It appears to be playing a trick on me yet again.
White: Perhaps itâs time I teach that little rascal a lesson⊠lovingly, of course.
Rustica: Voluptas seems to be quite fond of you, Lord White.
White: Fond, you say?
Rustica: As someone who also appreciates a good prank, I understand its feelings quite well.
Rustica: You can learn a lot about someone from the way they react to a prank, and reveal a lot about yourself in returnâŠ
Rustica: For Voluptas, tricks are an important mode of communication.
White: Now that you mention it, every time I scold it for pranking me, it always does a merry little dance in the airâŠ
Rustica: The key to clearing the tower is connecting with the ancient beasts.
Rustica: And it seems you already have a leg up in that aspect, Lord White.
White: Hmph⊠So you say, but that doesnât change the fact that our personalities simply do not mesh.
Rustica: In that case, shall we approach it like this?
Rustica: Just as you return a greeting with a greeting, why not return a prank with a prank?
A Trick For Our Friendship - Chapter 2
White: OhâŠ? Now thereâs an idea.
White: <Noscomunia>
Rustica: Oh my, beautiful jewels have appeared all along the towerâs walls.
White: Doesnât the sight of all these sparkling, rainbow-colored gems fill your heart with joy?
White: However, should you happen to touch oneâŠ
[Electric Shock]
Rustica: Ahaha, what a fierce shock.
White: Why⊠Youâre hastier than you look. You ought to wait for people to finish speaking before you act.
Rustica: Haha, my curiosity got the better of me.
Rustica: A beautiful sight hiding the thrill of a sting⊠How captivating.
Rustica: However, donât you think this might be a little too much for Voluptasâ body to handle?
White: Is it? In that case, what would you suggest?
Rustica: Me? Letâs see⊠<Amorest Viesse>
White: Oh? There are ribbons dangling from the ceilingâŠ! What are you planning?
Rustica: Why donât you pull on one and see?
White: Hmm, Iâll give this blue one a tug then.
[Sparkling Noise]
White: Oh! It made a bright noise and rained confetti on me.
Rustica: Did you like it? I was inspired by the piñatas from the Master Sageâs world.
White: Hohoho, it certainly gave me a chuckle.
[Sparkling Noise]
White: Oh, that sound wasâŠ!
Rustica: It appears someoneâs pulled another ribbon.
Rustica: Was it Voluptas, Murr, or Faust⊠Whoever it was, I hope theyâve thoroughly enjoyed the trick.
A One Time Chance - Card Episode
[Living Room]

Akira: Voluptas was very mischievous, but also so cute and expressive.
Akira: What did you think of it?
Rustica: I think we made a rather good pair, Voluptas and I. We had a fun time together.
Akira: Ahaha, Murr said the same thing.
Rustica: Did he?
Rustica: Now that you mention, spending time with Voluptas gave me the same feeling as spending time with Murr.
Akira: Youâre right! Both of them sure love their pranks, so theyâd probably have other things in common tooâŠ
Rustica: I agree, and they have such wonderful reactions afterwards.
Akira: They do look pretty happy after a prank well done.
Rustica: âŠHaha, thatâs not all there is.
Akira: What else are you thinking of?
Rustica: Once, I walked right into one of Voluptasâ tricks but didnât notice whatsoeverâŠ
Rustica: The poor thing looked so downtrodden afterwards.
Rustica: Its ears and tails were drooping, and it kept looking at me as if it were trying to say something.
Akira: H- How cuteâŠ!
Rustica: Isnât it? However, I only ever saw it look that way once.
Rustica: Even though I wanted to see that expression again, I simply couldnât bear to deliberately ignore its adorable tricks.

With the new year coming up my challenge to myself is to read every single comic book that Pietro Maximoff has been in over the course of 2025. I, of course, realise this is going to make me scream into my pillow over bad writing and mourn what could have been almost constantly. Ah, the things I do for love.
We begin this journey with Uncanny X-Men (1963) #4, the first appearances of Pietro and Wanda!
The first time we ever see Pietro and it's him being protective over Wanda, which does basically become his entire character (according to most people) for multiple decades, hell, it still kind of is.
From the very beginning he's hyper-focused on his sister, his argumentative personality coming through by arguing with the Toad and Mastermind about Wanda.
Him decking Mastermind is kind of fun though, love to see it.
I know this is long before the whole Magneto-dad reveal, but I do enjoy how linked together these characters have been from the very beginning.
Again, we're seeing Pietro put Wanda above himself. Her safety is much more important than his own, at least in his mind. Hell, he only decides to stay simply because Wanda does, even when he clearly wants to leave and is fully capable of doing so.
We also learn the origin story where Wanda was being hunted (?) due to her powers and Magneto saved her, Pietro's nowhere to be seen here.
Pietro, yet again, says he's only there for Wanda, even if he has no love for humans either.
I'd like to bring attention to Pietro looking thoroughly unhappy here, he obviously doesn't want to be there with Magneto. For context here, Magneto and the Brotherhood are invading a republic (as Magneto says) and generally being villains, as they are.
Yet, notice Wanda, she has no objections here and even praises these actions. While Pietro is against it all, Wanda is supporting it (although she does question the methods, she quickly agrees). Showing that even from the beginning these twins were always going to be fundamentally different.
Pietro's first ever fight and it's against Angel. Of course, Pietro is faster (he is in fact a blur), but Warren has maneuverability on his side and manages to win by simply causing Pietro to run headfirst into a wall.
Wanda then appears, is quickly sexualised, then causes the ceiling to cave in on Warren. These events also solidifying her misplaced trust in Magneto and his ideals.
After capturing Angel, Cyclops makes his move to attack, which promptly causes Magneto to order Pietro to fight back.
Now before this, Pietro showed awe over Scott's powers, something that no one in the Brotherhood has expressed about an X-Man in this issue so far.
The X-Men manage to escape and with his plans thwarted, Magneto then decides to bomb the country.
Once again, Pietro is the odd man out, the only one there showing concern over the innocents who would die. You can't see from this panel but Wanda is right next to him, she has no verbal objections to this plan.
While she escapes, Wanda does think about how horrible it all is, but she says or does nothing to interfere. In fact, she's trying to rationalise in her mind that Magneto must be bluffing, at least that's what I got from it all.
Opposite to Wanda's blind faith and silent subordination, Pietro, instead of escaping, runs to disable the nuclear bomb. Unable to sit by and let thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands (it's not very clear how big this country is) simply die.
Despite the X-Men witnessing Pietro disable the bomb and trying to talk to him. Pietro still runs away, back to his sister, even if he's against the acts the Brotherhood commits, he won't leave them.
Scott tries to run after Pietro, but Bobby stops him and some drama with Professor X happens, but this isn't about him, it's about Quicksilver.
I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing in how Pietro's characterisation hasn't really changed all that much from his very first issue. The more I think about it, that's definitely a bad thing.
I'm very excited to continue reading and analysing Pietro through the years and hopefully claim my spot as #1 Quicksilver fan in the world.
