not to be That Guy but I know everyone rags on Marius for wanting to marry a little kid and let’s not ignore this part from her book:

“Listen, Lydia,” said my Father. “Have you in all your readings come across the word ‘betrothed’?”

“Yes, Father, of course.”

“Well, that sort of wanderer and dreamer likes nothing better than to betroth himself to a young girl of ten because it means she is not old enough to marry and he has years of freedom, without the censure of the Emperor. They do it all the time.”

Human!Marius had a reputation for being sort of a hippie and a drifter and he’s 25 at this point and he doesn’t want to get married, and Pandora will be the same when she’s his age, pulling all kinds of bullshit to avoid it. This is not him creeping on a kid, it’s him choosing a wife that is too young because he isn’t interested in marriage.

I see his “attraction” to Pandora taken out of context pretty often so I just wanted to drop this here in case it helps anyone.
