This makes me imagine my MC who doesn't know much about humans at all, if anything and when she fucks up and ends up being disrespectful is just like 'damn, my bad', bc she doesn't realize humans are ✨️different✨️like that, and she personally doesn't find any of her behavior disrespectful so like, whoops. Anyway, let's move on!
Which like, good for her that she doesn't keep intentionally acting rude or disrespectful but idrk if it's better?? Would you mind telling me how ROs would react or what they would think if MC doesn't act sorry or apologize or anything like that, but still respects their boundaries? Would they think they're acting or something? 🤔
I’m glad! I would love to see if people really embraced playing flawed characters that don’t always get along with the team! It’s my hope that people will feel safe in utilizing the different options around, even if you know a character won’t like it. Trust that the end goal is to get you smooching and I’m here to help your character along their journey.
I think the answer is positively? For example, if you intrude on Camille you can go “oh shit my bad” and just never do it again. It doesn’t need to be a big apology with flowers or a sappy speech. In fact, most characters can intuit when the MC is sorry, but maybe feels too awkward to actually say sorry. If you really fuck up though, maybe an actual apology might be required. For the most part, the characters are understanding of MCs who are awkward or have low charisma or decorum stats. What they really find rude are things that are deliberate, not someone who doesn’t know any better and will never do it again.
But! This also depends on the character, Adelaide is gullible and very willing to give people the benefit of the doubt….multiple times. Camille is largely untrusting and doesn’t like the MC from the get-go. Faith…..takes a lot to really upset her. Mars is a weird mix of both Adelaide and Camille, he doesn’t truth the MC but he’s such a sensitive guy, he holds a lot of compassion buried underneath. Sid is similar to Faith and Yoon find 99% of things amusing.

more Poppy because I love her
little ficlet under the cut because I couldn’t get these dumb ideas out of my head
The dinner hour has long since passed and all of Adelaide’s silverware has been put away, but clinking noises continue to drift across the camp as Poppy organizes her rocks in her nightly ritual.
Beside her, Addie helps her organize her rocks by size and color, teaching her new shades along the way.
“What about this pink one?” Poppy asks her, examining a rock in front of the firelight.
“Mauve,” Addie answers. “It’s a purplish pink.”
“So, should it go in the purples or pinks?”
Addie nudges at the pile of yet-unorganized rocks. “You have a lot of mauves—”
“Ooh! Really?”
“Mmhmm, I think it could be its own pile.” Addie places it on either side of the purples and pinks, far away from the blues, oranges, and greens—or as she calls them, the aquas, coral, and chartreuses.
Mars observes them from across the firepit, whetting his sword. Lost in the midst of his own nightly routine, his mouth runs before he can think the better of it, “Do all fey-foxes collect rocks or is it just you?”
Poppy pauses and blinks up at him and already he wants nothing more than to run and hide among the trees. This forest has a lot of wild game, I could survive...but then I’d have to hunt for my food. I could do that...I think.
Poppy answers him just as the image of an adorable rabbit begging for its life appears in his mind and dashes Mars’ plans of becoming a forest hermit.
“I haven’t met many other fey-foxes, so I dunno,” she answers simply with a shrug of her shoulders.
“What about your dad or your mother?” Faith asks. “Weren’t they fey-foxes or something?”
Poppy shakes her head. “Just papa and uncle. Momma wasn’t anything but human, I think.”
“You think?” Faith repeats, smoothing her bedroll. Satisfied, she flops down back-first before turning onto her stomach to look at Poppy again. “She a sorceress or something?”
Immediately, Poppy imagines her mother acting like Camille and she can’t help but laugh at the thought. “Nah! She was nice!”
Camille turns her head suddenly to glare at Poppy, who only shrinks back.
“What I mean is, she didn’t have magic or anything!” Poppy exclaims, “The only magic one was my Aunt Lily.”
“You have an aunt?” Addie says as she continues to sort the rocks without her. It was a surprisingly calming ritual.
“I used to,” Poppy says with a grimace. “She went up north and married a potter but they were killed years and years ago. Momma said their baby Harry lived and went to live with their sister Petunia but I’ve never met him.”
Before Addie can even think of expressing her condolences, Poppy’s mouth continues to run. “Oh! Grandmama Marigold was a little magic too, she would make spoons dance whenever I was sad. Her twin brother was more powerful, though. When they were younger they defeated an evil tyrant with the help of her husband and his magic bear, Chewie—well, the bear wasn’t magic, but his crossbow was. They even used her papa’s pirate ship to help destroy an enormous ship with canons big enough to destroy cities—”
“Wait, who’s a pirate?” Sid asks, rubbing at his eyes, thoroughly rouses from sleep.
“My grandmama Marigold’s father.,” Poppy answers. “Originally he was just a farmboy working for my great-grandmama Buttercup’s papa, but one day he left to make his fortune so they could marry, he came back a pirate and together they helped defeat the evil prince who was trying to marry Buttercup—”
“Wait a minute,” Yoon says from inside his silk tent and pops his head out in confusion. “If Buttercup had a farm, how come her husband had to leave to make money? She had a farm right there.”
“Because all the monsters were dying, so great-grandpapa Westley had to find a different way to provide.”
There’s a long stretch of silence as everyone processes Poppy’s statement.
Faith breaks the silence first, “Alright, I’ll bite. What do you mean by monsters?”
“Great-great-grandpapa Red raised monsters.”
“Was he an evil sorcerer or something?” Camille asks incredulously.
"No, no, no! Great-great-grandpapa Red was good!” Poppy laughs, albeit nervously. “He captured monsters so they wouldn’t attack people anymore. He made these magical spheres that he would throw at monsters to capture them. After that, the monsters were completely bound to his will to do his bidding—alright, so maybe he was a little evil.”
“Just a smidgen evil,” Sid mumbles half-asleep, snuggling back into his bedding.
“Wait, so he would...breed monsters?” Yoon asks.
“He was, up until around the third generation,” Poppy says, tapping her chin with her finger, “Something about a cat-monster impregnating a whale-monster made him reconsider his life choices.”
“Oh, you think?” Camille snarks. “So...did he leave any notes on this sphere contraption—?”
“So is he who you got your red hair from?” Addie asks, organizing the final rocks.
Poppy laughs. “No, great-great-grandmama Misty was the redhead. She was a mermaid—oh! We finished!” She runs her fingers lightly over the neatly organized rocks. “So pretty.”
Then Poppy gathers the edges of blanket they’re on and ties it together, spilling the rocks together once again, much to Addie’s irritation.
“Alright,” Poppy yawns, and curls up near the fire. “Good night everyone!”
“But, wait, you didn’t really answer my question,” Mars complains.
“Oh, I think she answered a lot of questions,” Camille says.
Across from them, Poppy snores into her arm.
The very next day, Faith asks if Poppy can talk to fish since she’s technically 1/16th mermaid. Poppy dunks her head into a nearby river to try and talk to some salmon and almost drowns.
As he and Sid are fishing her out of the river, Mars still wonders about the rocks.

Jumping on the online character creator bandwagon (because let’s face it, I can’t touch that Arby’s drawing level) for @foxofsunholt MCs. Meet Jane, mean™ fey-fox who definitely doesn’t need anybody, she’s not lonely, stop looking at her like that. Is probably going to romance Sid, though a strong case could be made for both Adelaide and Mars. Definitely going to be friends with Yoon and Faith, are casual relationships going to be a thing because HOO BOY
Tells anyone who asks wildly and obviously inaccurate stories about how she got her scar, you’ll get a different story every time. Even if you never find out the truth, it’s great entertainment value
LOVES making ROs flustered, seriously she thrives off of it
Is pretty vain and never without lipstick. What colour are her actual lips? no one knows
Really enjoys fighting, the physicality of it especially but at the same time wants to look super put together at all times and fighting will ruin your hair/fur
Also is very into dancing, please tell me there will be dances in this, will absolutely sweep any RO off their feet
Is very rude to Atlas but kind of growing fond of him and it really annoys her which will probably only result in more rudeness
Freckles for DAYS
Secretly is a super tactile person and loves gentle touches but genuine emotion is for losers so no one will ever know
Basically such a mess. Just such a mess of a fey-fox - will drink to solve her problems recommended 10/10
will 10000% tie sid up in bed don’t look at me
Is a Stepford Snarker with a Jerkass Façade and Don’t You Dare Pity Her! (i regularly spend hours on this website send help)
i love clichés shut up you can’t stop my hcs
#fox of sunholt#so excited to see more of this game#are you still doing ro/mc drawings bc#i might dissolve into a puddle#foxofsunholt

How would the ros act if due to time travel schenanigens they met their children before they got together with the mc? What would they say to the child and the mc? How would they feel?
This ask was really interesting, thank you for sending it in! I kept trying to make it more light-hearted, but in the FOS-world, the idea of fate is very strong—any one of these characters confronted with the idea of what their future would assume that’s what’ll happen 100%. For some characters, the implication of that is too great–the extreme disconnect between the idea of them eventually having a family against what their current situation is…is just too…jarring? It should be a hopeful sign, but it would wack them in the face like a raw fish, esp. pre-getting together with the MC in which they’re just ripe with emotional issues.
Anyway my point is this really ran away from me ajskhdkajdh
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Colette is thrilled to meet her parents, but she keeps her lips sealed about the nature of her birth. She is blonde and smiles without shame–she looks so much like Adelaide that a connection can no longer be denied. Adelaide hugs her daughter, weeps into her arms at the very idea—that one day her life is happy. Colette is eager to know The Fox of Sunholt beyond what she has heard in stories; to get to live through the legacy of her parents. Adelaide will not discuss the logistics, but she pulls you aside and speaks with excited whispers. Look at what this means, she says, it means we win. Colette is hope, and everything Adelaide could have wished for and more.
But Adelaide has never spoken of her affections for you, and with news of your child in the future, she concerns herself with never speaking of it. Colette tells you of a great love-story–yours. She speaks with reverence and her words feel like a lie. You ask her why she’s never told Adelaide about these stories (which you still don’t think are real). She grows very quiet; she reminds you a lot of yourself like that, as she tries to make herself small. She said she doesn’t want to hear it, your daughter confesses. You feel her pain as she tries to hide her love for the both of you away, for Adelaide’s sake.
The future can be bright and beautiful, she’s addressing the people of Sunholt and for the first time you notice the way her lips quiver when she lies. Colette is just a symbol of a future Adelaide pretends to believe in.
When faced with the truth, the princess cowers.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Theodore and Theodosia know better than to incur their mother’s ire, so they only tell you about the circumstance of their being. It’s clear they’re uncomfortable around Camille. Confused, you ask them why. It’s Theo who answers, picking at the dirt under his nails. She’s just really..different. But the magic the twins use is hard to hide, their techniques proof of secrets passed through Camille’s family. The idea of this ‘future’ unnerves her. The thought, the mere idea, that her life turns out okay is horrifying. What had all her pain been for? What then is the point of all her work? And how–how in the name of Seven is this magical future supposed to happen? As far as she’s concerned, their future is not hers. Vehemently she denies it, and them.
And in doing so, she pulls from you. She might run, one day, if her loyalty to Adelaide did not anchor her to this journey. Everything is just something waiting to go wrong–and knowing there is a life out there with you–that is something she’d never be able to accept the inevitable ruining of.
You get to know your children well, but they don’t recognize their mother. And you find yourself knowing Camille less.
I wanted to set the world on fire, she tells you, standing over ash and rubble, now what?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Ares runs with his arms open to hug you immediately, and then to Mars. He doesn’t think about the implications of being so open about his parents, he’s just happy to see the two of you. It is a shock to see the brave warrior he knows to be his father suddenly a stiff and grumpy man, but his boundless energy is enough to cancel out even Mars’ awkwardness–most of the time, at least. Mars himself struggles to bring the topic up with you, or Ares. He insists this is some trick, he tries to draw away from you but he misses you too much when you are apart. He has not accepted that Ares is his son, or that there is some future with you–but he takes it in stride, best he can.
One day, when Ares is fast asleep, Mars gathers the courage to speak. What does it mean? He asks and you shrug. Might he be an impostor? You shake your head, Ares is too honest for that. And what do you think? Do you—do you really believe that we–that there’s— Words catch in his throat and confidence dies on his tongue.
There is an idea of the future that Mars has always had. It is one lived alone in a world of blacks & whites. There is no place for love in his future, but he asks you if you’ll allow him to be wrong, just this once.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Kai stumbles into the group with a bloody nose and a crooked grin. He smiles the way Faith does, with mischief behind his teeth. You make the connection instantly, though he denies sharing any details of his parents. Your stomach twists as you eventually piece together who the other-half is in this equation. Me? You shout one night, dangling your feet into a cold lake with Kai silently by your side. He frowns but nods and draws a finger to his lips. If you tell her, she’ll run—then I’ll poof outta existence. That’s how future stuff works, right? He’s astute, he gets that from you.
The future is scary, that’s what Faith tells you. She says it’s her biggest fear and then laughs as though it’s merely a joke. Behind her veneer of flirtation and confidence there is a woman who is so deeply afraid and you gather that she knows. You don’t talk about it, or who Kai is. It would ruin something, you think, and even Kai feels it.
One day, he tells you, you two will be really happy, I promise. I’m not gonna get in the way of you guys gettin’ there. Then he pauses, never one for physical affection he succumbs to the urge to hug you. I love you both and I’m sorry.
As it turns out, even without the conversation, Faith runs.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Lucy is nonchalant about it. Sid is a little less. A kid! As far as he’s concerned, it’s great news. He hugs her first hard and tight and she has to pry him away. Then he hugs you, with just as much force. He laughs loud and he holds you close. It’s great, he says this over and over again as though he’s trying to convince himself of it. Lucy isn’t very talkative, you think she gets her need of privacy from you. Sid is louder than normal, forcing out a friendliness that’s uncharacteristic even for him.
This means we make it out okay, he says, it also means we’ve got somethin’ special to be fightin’ for–not just an idea. But what does it mean for you two? You’re friends, naturally, but a child? Sid seems unconcerned with speaking of the logistics here. Tactfully, he avoids the topic altogether and tries his best to act unchanged with the knowledge.
It’s weird, Lucy tells you, seeing you both like this. When you quirk your brow at her, she elaborates. Unhappy, I mean.
Sid is at his ship, your knife pressed to his throat. it’s strange, ain’t it? He says, arms thrown up in the air, you’d think knowing it’ll all be okay would make this a lot easier, wouldn’t it?
It’s just funny! Lucy groans in frustration, you denying her a mug of ale, you two are supposed to be like gross and– she presses the tips of her fingers together, stammering through poorly attempted kissing noises. –but it’s nothing like that!
You run your hand over where Sid’s blood has burnt through the steel of your blade. Fate is wrong, Sid told you once, a lifetime ago, destiny’s never set in stone–life’d be too easy if it were.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Juno and Bora ambush you in the words, snickering behind hand-crafted fox masks. Yoon regales you with an old tale about two trickster spirits, Juno can’t keep herself from jumping in and finishing the story–which spurs Bora hitting her sister behind her head, which then results in Juno retaliating and what once felt like a threat against your life has dissolved into childish bickering between two siblings. Needless to say, they’re bad at keeping secrets.
You know what this means, you let Yoon’s suggestive joke drift through the air. The Fey population is dwindling.
But it all feels like a joke, perhaps because Yoon takes nothing with seriousness. His children are amused by his apathy for only so long, before they turn to you, finding that your pessimism is equally as unamusing.
The world’s a lot less sad in the future, Juno tries to tell you, Colette and Theo and I collect frogs from the lake behind the castle and then ‘Dosia gets really mad ‘cause Theo puts them in her bag but you an’ Dad always laugh! Not at ‘Dosia, ‘cause that would be mean, but when we tell you about our day you get like— she mimics a smile, you shoot her a look of confusion.
Forget it, Bora interjects, no one ever tells us what it was like during the war, it’s like everyone’s trying to…
Hide it in ‘Dosia’s bag!
…Metaphorically.
Yeah, duh, not really, ‘cause that’s where the frogs go.
They tell you stories of the future, of their friends and the school you will help to build. Yoon sits and listens to them one day, his face unreadable. There is a conversation to be had, you and Yoon are due for a lot of those. In lieu of one he takes you to that lake behind the castle—which is not a lake at all but a Rot-stained swamp. He presses his palm against the corrupted trunk of a nearby tree, letting it burn through his skin, blood tricking down the bark. Imagine a child playing here and tell me it doesn’t sound like a lie.
You have a hard time telling him any different.

hey, would it be alright if I asked for some Fluffy Facts about the ROs? I’ve been having a bit of a hard time emotionally for the past week so I could use some Fluff tbh if that’s alright with you 💕
200% alright! I'm not entirely sure what a fluffy fact is but I tried lol, if you want to know anything specific, shoot me another ask! Good vibes your way!!!!
Adelaide
She can't sing very well, which isn't a fluffy fact itself, but to calm the unease of overburdened workers around the castle, she will sing—to hear the princess sing so horribly off-key and haphazard is a comfort. Not every one is perfect, and Adelaide tries her best to get the people around her to not be so hard on themselves (ironically she's hard on herself but there's no one to sing horribly to her and tell her thinks will be okay....yet)—she does the same for the MC
Unsurprisingly a very affectionate person, when it comes to love, she harbours little shame for who her lover might be. She's very proud of it, actually. She'll be the first person to tell everyone
She tries her best to take everything in stride, but in the days when that's hard...she allows herself reprieve. She will rest, laze about, breathe and quiet voices that tell her she's wasting her time—on those days she has warm drinks, snacks and books to fall on. She would understand if someone else wanted a day like that too, and if you wanted her company then, she'd never say no.
Develops a white hot chocolate just for the MC, so they can experience hot chocolate (which is her favorite drink)
Loves to hear about people's days, their dreams, all the small things
Camille
Being someone who spends most of her time alone, she does delight in the quiet moments—wordless affection, comfortable acceptance of eachother
She never really knows how to tell someone she likes them. Do I shower them in gifts??? Here's three thousand roses are you aware that I love you
With the MC around, she does feel a lot more comfortable with going out and being among crowds of people—she never admits it but the truth is she's horribly shy in public settings, she never goes to parties or events for this exact reason—but she wants to and the MC helps her
She sneaks books that she really likes into the public library in hopes someone else will get the chance to read it before the council curators come, notice an unsanctioned book, and burn it
Camille has actually become an adept copier for that exact reason, developing her own convenient spell for it
The castle library is basically hers, everyone has just accepted that
As children, Camille and Adelaide were always together. When Adelaide began to be forced to spend more time away, learning her royal duties, Camille made up excuses so she could join Adelaide, which is how she learned etiquette and decorum more than any servant should have
She was the one who gave Mars his cat, sir snuggles
Faith
Also very physically affectionate but in a much different way than Adelaide, she simply has trouble not touching people
A cuddler, a great sleep enthusiast, come to bed with me in literally any sense of the word please
She knows all the spots with the best views, it's where she goes to think, eventually, she will share them with you
Despite how she comes off, she does understand the detachment material goods can have as a gift—sure, a nice gold necklace is a great present but Faith would rather give the MC something else, something with meaning
Again, despite how she comes off, non-sexual and/or non-romantic intimacy is also something she likes—and likewise she's more than happy to oblige if it's something someone else wants (she'll smooch her friends, sHE'LL DO IT)
Enjoys touching someone's hair, playing with it, combing it—her own hair is long and messy so she doesn't really care for trying to fix it but she likes applying that care to someone else
Has a very soft spot for children, she absolutely adores them and she's a miracle worker with even the most rowdy of child — she gives as much as she can to local orphanages and spends time with the children best she can
Mars
Sleeps cuddled with his cat and when he can't he carries around a painting of him—loves his cat a lot, basically
He fights the urge to smile, if only someone could tell him it's okay to be happy
Expert masseuse, he learned because his muscles were sore from all the heavy armor but then he realized he can't massage himself so now he just has this skill he never gets to use
Baking calms him down, makes him feel like he can do something with his hands that isn't carnage, he bakes sweets for the servants
Not great with physical affection, it's new to him, but he enjoys holding hands
Sir Snuggles came from a litter of cats he helped nurse to health, and then personally sought out adopters for. Camille took sir snuggles only to hand it right back to Mars—who did not think to keep a cat at all, knowing he wasn't allowed and that his quarters were pretty cramped
A fan of cute things
Sid
Often a loud and rough man, he becomes gentle around those he cares for
Always asks for his sister's opinion on fashion. When she was worried about how she might look in more feminine clothing, Sid wore a dress for a week
Protective; he'll speak up for those that can't, fight for others, do whatever he can.
Truly can't bare to see anyone being wronged
You'll never find a more true friend, and if he hasn't heard from you in a while, he's sure to stop by with your favorite food to check in on you
Learns the words to all your favorite songs so he can sing along too
Loves to encourage people to try new things, whether that's food or steering a ship—if you're bad at it or don't like it, don't worry! Sid never judges, he's just happy to see someone try setting out
Yoon
*colors of the wind plays softly in the background*
The most likely person to understand how hard talking can be sometimes, and how helpful. He knows pain and you don't have to explain in so many words what's troubling you
A man filled with violent anger who never once loses his temper, he retains composure and would be forever guilty if he ever did explode at someone
Usually knows what someone is thinking before even they do, he's ready with whatever you need
His vanity can be annoying, but it's also one of his favorite comedic tools—and it works, most of the time
reTAIL THERAPY 100% has "treat yo self" days with Faith that he's quick to rope the MC into
Tells the best bedtime stories
Leaves sweet messages around, ranging from simple "I love you" notes to heartfelt poems

A little bit more details about ROs family? Without being spoiler? Pretty please? Pretty pretty please?
I think i’ve made a post like this some time before but i’ve shuffled some things around so HERE IT IS AGAIN ANYWAY
Adelaide
The royal family of Sunholt is famous among their people. Her father is a strict man who very clearly loves his eldest son the most, he’s also a little obsessed with magic (i forgot what i made her father’s name asjkdhajsd i think it was like gerald or something)
Adelaide’s mother, Corrine , is a garbage can trash pile poop can garbage--a woman who was given increasingly less and less choices in her life and now lives completely trapped inside. A very, very unhappy woman
Her eldest brother, Cyril, is everything a king would want in a heir. He’s confident, poised, ambitious and most of all...a talented magic-user. He treats Adelaide like a frail child, and truthfully doesn’t hold a lot of respect for her...and most people, really
Emil is her other brother, he’s a little closer to Adelaide, and is a lot nicer to her than Cyril is. He can be overprotective (he too kinda thinks of Adelaide like a child, but mostly because both his father and brother treat her that way so he just learned to do the same). He is extremely uninterested in responsibility
won’t talk about her family, assumes most people just know. besides, everyone has ideas of what it’s like to grow up royalty--she’d rather have you keep that fantasy
Camille
Comes from a notorious line of sorcerers, who fled their country after a terrible natural disaster
???
when she speaks about her family, she will speak of her ancestors
Mars
Son of the current knight commander, Jove, who is rough and unapologetic. He expects a lot from his son, and feels Mars just isn’t living up to all that he could be. He does care for his son....he’s just very very very bad at showing it
His mother, Hera, was well-loved. She was a commoner however, and very clearly below Jove’s station. She died during childbirth, was the queen’s lover, not as nice a person as she seemed
Mars HAD an older brother, Aries, who had always been very kind to him---he died in the Seven Sea War, which was also coincidentally Mars’ first time in a large-scale battle (Mars was about 16, and his brother 19)
if you ask him about his family, he tells you what others have told him...how great his father is, how kind his mother was, the lost potential of his brother, etc. not his own thoughts and feelings
Faith
grew up an orphan, raised by the church. ran away at 16, where she jumped from thief group to group until she decided to run independently---and then she meet Yoon
if you ask her about her childhood, she will never once tell you a true story
Sid
His parents were unremarkable, they died young and Sid doesn’t enjoy talking about them much---his story is a common one when it comes to the slums of sunholt. conditions aren’t great for work, and sid’s resentful that they died like that....loyal to a kingdom that didn’t care about them
He raised his younger sister, lucretia/lucy, by himself mostly
will gush about his sister don’t test him
Yoon
His mother was actually human, and his father a kumiho from the fey caravan that presided north of his village
his parents did love eachother, and yoon was raised hearing stories of that supposed romance. however the prejudice against him and his mother was so great that they were eventually hunted, which forced them to flea during a storm. yoon’s mother did not make the journey, staying behind to make sure that yoon reached his father’s caravan unscathed
his father was the head of the caravan, and sheltered yoon for a while. but yoon was angry; this was a man who never once visited them or protected them from the scorn of the villagers. he left the caravan as soon as he could
if you ask him about his family, he will only tell you about his mother

Boy I sure do love going camping in the dark void of space! (I actually really did enjoy it tho) Since we are feeling campy- what are the Ro’s feelings on camping? Like recreational camping- going to a lake and setting up a tent, marshmallows, the whole shabang? Have a lovely day!
image of cat crying while looking at phone: thank
I’m not sure how it happened, considering I HATE camping, but in a way all the characters enjoy it. They naturally spend so much time outdoors that there is a sense of calming they get sleeping under open sky---and it is extremely convenient.
Adelaide & Sid both love the classical idea of camping. Marshmallows, telling stories around a fire, swimming in a lake...camping itself is very popular in Sunholt.
Camille & Mars like the aspect of isolation, being away from threat and crowd. For Mars, this is a moment to relax, unafraid of what might happen in the night. Camille is sort of always in a state of perpetual camping, choosing to live in the wilderness.
Yoon & Faith simply don’t trust human society, they can’t stay in a city for long without fear taking them. Camping brings them a comfort in that sense, but they’d both rather be in a warm bed under a roof.

*gasps* There's a love triangle? Like there's gonna be an actual love triangle?? With who? I am so ready for some angst
I’ve mentioned it before but I should really make a proper about page or something lol
but yes! There’s 3 of them..... +Seven, which can be added to any of these if you pick the right options*
Adelaide & Camille
Sid & Mars
Faith & Yoon
The basic premise is that those two characters have feelings towards you, where as normally after expressing interest in a character the rest “back off”. I’ve outlined some differences below for anyone that’s curious !!!
LOVE TRIANGLE
More angst
A completely new route to the romances, has it’s own unique scenes and arc so it’s worth it to play the game both ways
“riskier” (possibility to ruin a friendship with one of the two characters or “fail” the route)*
NOT a polyamory route :( (if i have time I’ll try to add one)
you will eventually have to pick one of the two characters
more of a “slow burn” than a regular path, on account of the MC having to pick between two people
being indecisive here as repercussions, if you lead both characters on for too long they won’t like it :’)
In Faith & Yoon’s case, the love triangle route is the only way to sleep with both of them.....at the same time.......wink wonk (but it’s not all fun and games after)
Characters can and might reject you in a love triangle route (only one of the two will reject you)
you get different scenes later in the game
each love triangle is unique in what it offers
gives you more space to decide between two characters if you’re having trouble
NORMAL
a unique romance storyline of its own
“easier”
you’ll see more of one character. IE. if addy is your fav, you’ll see her more, where as in a love triangle the time is split between the two characters
you can still get those juicy jealousy scenes with other characters (the side-romances) but not with any of the main cast
more fluffy???? more pure...... more smooch time....smooch smooch
also gives you different scenes later in the game
you experience more of your RO’s personal arc this way
idk how to describe it but if you’re only interested in one character, this path is very generous to your fav (but again if you’ve got a fav RO, it’s still worth it to try a love triangle route and vice versa)
you will have to make a choice on who you want to romance a little quicker here
can still “add” Seven as a “rival” romance
The only way to get each ROs special present to the MC is to go through a normal romance route
*POSSIBLY. Don’t quote me on this. it’s not set in stone yet. Seven’s romance path is very unique so there’s a lot of options to romance them in-game that I have to work out the logistics of

How would the ROs react to an affectionately drunk MC?
Adelaide: “Oh, hi!” Giggles a lot, red in the face, tries to be affectionate back but very aware and very respectful of the fact the MC is drunk and won’t overstep or do anything she knows the MC would not be comfortable with. Her voice is very high-pitched the whole night, she spends most of her time squeaking and trying to usher the MC to drink some water.
Camille: “Get off me, you idiot!” Not happy about it AT ALL. Avoids the MC or will just leave. If she has any feelings for the MC, she’ll do her best to get them to drink water and rest, will gently pull their hands off of her.
Mars: “I--hey---don’t---” Very flustered, tries to pull the MC off him. Stays by their side to make sure they’re safe and encourages them to slow down/pace themselves. When the MC is all tuckered out, he carries them to bed and mentions nothing of the affectionate attitude in the morning.
Faith: 100% drunk along with the MC. She’s also an affectionate drunk, very flirtatious....you can imagine how that goes. I don’t think I even need to explain.
Sid: Also probably drunk along with the MC...he too is an affectionate drunk (though not like Faith, he’s not flirty, just really into hugs). He’s a “bro, I love you, bro”-type drunk. Slings his arm over the MC and tries to get them to sing with him. Wants to hug all the time, may never let go....I imagine him and the MC just holding each other the hold night
Yoon: “I’m irresistible, I know.” No reaction. Will just let the MC hug him all night long while he daintily sips his wine. He doesn’t care. If he has feelings for the MC, he’d probably bounce on outta there.
Seven: “What is this?” “Affection.” “Disgusting...do it again.” Very much like Yoon in that they have no real reaction, but because they’re too embarrassed to react (CONCEAL DON’T FEEL).

alright angsty life is strange kind of situation where the ro's have to choose between saving the mc or saving the kingdom; who chooses what?
OOF
Adelaide does not take this choice lightly at all. She loves her kingdom, she loves her people....and she loves the MC. Ultimately, it’s not a choice she has the heart to make. She’d have to talk to the MC, see what they want. But she really can’t stomach ever making this decision
Camille: “I don’t even like Sunholt anyway.” picks the mc up and runs away while a giant tornado destroys her home
Mars, with great reluctance, chooses the kingdom. It’s not a choice he can live with though.
Sid is hard to say because he would never let a thing happen to his sister, if Sunholt had to burn to keep her safe, he would let Sunholt burn. And when it comes down to saving his sister or the MC, he has to go with his sister (which would mean picking the kingdom over the MC). He might be able to manage to go on after that, but he’s certainly won’t be the same person ever again.
Yoon, Faith & Seventh are all new to Sunholt and don’t really care for the kingdom...or really for other people. So they’d pick the MC every time.

I’m really enjoying all these asks and the detail in which you answer them. It’s really nice of you to take the time to answer questions :D I asked this a while back but I think it got lost in Tumblr somewhere, but how do the ROs respond internally when they realize that they love the MC? I can see some of them accepting it better than others lol
well not to spoil their feelings in game but a short little overview
Adelaide: warm, happy. So filled with clarity and love. “Yes, I do love the MC.” And it’s a beautiful thing. Until, she remembers.
Camille: Denial. Anger. Acceptance—the MC will never love her back, she knows.
Faith: When have her feelings ever mattered? This, like everything else, she can ignore.
Mars: It’s new, scary. Is he worthy of love? Of love from the MC? He’s not sure, and he doesn’t know where to get the answers to the questions that burn inside of him.
Sid: Love is selfish, he can’t allow himself to be selfish. Not to the MC.
Yoon: It would make sense; two Fey. It would and it should but something feels…..different. Something is far beyond his ability to comprehend. Desperate, he needs to know what that is.

you have us some a while ago... how about some more quotes from each RO route?
Ask and ye shall receive! Now featuring the 7th ROAdelaide: "Oh," she squeaks, face flushed red in a way that feels so familiar it twists your body into knots until there is no more space left to turn and you're left with Adelaide, and her familiar face, and her familiar voice, and then you have no choice but to realize that nothing has changed. Camille: "I can not begin to imagine how to forgive myself for all the things I did not say, for all the people I could not be."Faith: Faith laughs, the deep sound cutting through the frigid night air like a warning. Like you're moving too far in the wrong direction; suddenly the grass will end and you'll be faced with the jagged rocks of a cliff's edge and the feral waves below. "If you can pick up all the pieces I've left of myself, you still wouldn't get a whole person."Mars: Mars sits still, almost perfectly so. "I didn't think," he says, "with those sorts of things you never really think."Sid: "All I've ever wanted was to be at your side; I'd be a fool to demand how." Yoon: "For you my love, I'd steal the moon." (He says this/something to this affect A LOT)Seventh: "A thousand lifetimes ago, maybe."

How would waking up next to the RO's be like? 👀👀
i just did the whole morning lmfao under the cut because it got long!
The sun streams in through thin silk curtains, Adelaide is curled up against your side, as though she’s trying to melt into you. As though she might be freezing or will be if you leave her side. You’re awake before her, but she’s up seconds later, pushing herself so she can half-sit to look at you. Her hair sticks up at the sides, and she can’t quite open her eyes all the way. “Hey there,” her voice is slow and thick with her early-morning rasp. She falls back down and moves back to sleep; you’ll wake again in a few minutes when she gathers the energy to bounce out of bed and pull you with her with a whirlwind of laughter. The promise of adventure is on her lips.
On yours is the taste of the honey she pours into her tea.
The smell of lavender pulls you from your sleep. As you stretch and yawn, Camille slips back into bed with two cups of warm tea (or coffee). She leans over you to place a cup by your bedside, kissing you lightly as she goes. She’s always awake before you, and never with much to say about it. She cautiously moves to sit beside you, craving contact but not having the confidence to admit it. Like clockwork, she lifts a book off her bedside table (the same book she was reading before she went to bed) and sips her tea slowly. It’s a very calm ritual, and though she never says it, you can see how happy she is.
Luckily for you both, there’s no better feeling than settling into Camille’s soft bed with a warm cup of tea—your body resting against hers as she reads. Like a pocket of rest before the both of you set out on your morning routines.
Waking up Faith is both the most rewarding and challenging task you’ve ever had to face. No matter what time it is when you eventually pull yourself from slumber, she will still be fast asleep, her pink hair spread around her like a halo. She looks so happy there that it always feels like a crime to stir her, but if you don’t, she gives you a pout that’s just heart-breaking (”Why didn’t you wake me up? I could have made you breakfast!”). Waking her up is a lot like bargaining with a demon, or what you image bargaining with a demon would be like.
The best tapping and pushing does is get her to flutter her eyes open to smile at the sight of you before she mumbles an incoherent mess. It’s the rewards that get her to move.
A kiss for her to let you go, two kisses to get her to pull the cover away…..but you take caution, the demon has its tricks. She will ask for more, but you must refuse.
Any more and neither of you will leave the bed.
You wake just minutes before Mars does, holding you close in his arms, with his lips turned up in the smallest of smiles. You like to press a kiss to the tip of his nose, just to watch the way it crinkles as he grumbles awake. Before he can finish saying “good morning”, he presses the softest of kisses to your cheek. You do the same. Neither of you want to move so Mars is the first to pull the cover off you both and let the cold morning air sting against your bare legs. Sometimes, he likes to grab the whole comforter for himself and roll into a ball (though he usually rolls himself right off the bed). His lips crack into a lopsided smirk as you reach out for the cover. You chase him around the room for it, but by the end, you don’t care about it anymore.
It’s a different game each morning, but your favorite is the non-game.
The one where he’s up just seconds before you, and you catch him smiling to himself—eyes full of love. His words are a little different every time, but the meaning is always there.
“I love you”
and you feel the same.
Sid’s body is never in the place it started. A few times you’ve woken up to find him half on the floor, only his legs left on the bed. You tap whatever limb of his is in reach….but you remember, of course, that his favorite thing to do is to pretend he can’t feel you until you move close enough for him to pull you into a hug that’s just a little too tight for so early in the morning. Yet, you don’t move.
Despite owning a bed you both tested thoroughly, there’s no place more comfortable than in his arms, your head on his chest so you can feel his steady heartbeat anchor you in place.
“Should I make breakfast today?” You can feel his deep voice reverberate through you. You tell him he should, because if you have to deal with being dragged into a hug before you can even rub sleep from your eyes, you deserve some breakfast.
That and he’s your favorite chef.
The bed sinks as you lean over to see if Yoon is really asleep (he likes to pretend to sleep just so he can sneak in a few extra minutes in bed). His favorite thing to do is have you explore the night with him, which leaves the morning so hard to get past. You have to get up though, you have a job and things to do and was it really necessary for Yoon to hire a sorcerer to add extra magical comfort to your bed?
Just as your thoughts provoke a grumble from your mouth, Yoon speaks: “why don’t we just…stay in?”
You look at him, the very man who caused your problem in the first place. He smiles back at you.
You end up staying in, but only because Yoon promises to do all your work and throw in a massage.
You make sure not to tell him that you would have stayed in anyway. Besides, the nights are always better than the days.

I got emotional about the evil versions pls frog-give -- read if you would like a dissection of the character’s moralities (the reasoning behind the evil versions and why its so heartbreaking probably makes more sense to me because i know all their backstories BUT)
I’m positive that completely changing the alignment of any character alters who they are in a major way (it is a complete shift of ideals, morals, etc) but it’s just so heartbreaking to think of the FOS characters that way. They are all people that chose to be good (with the exception of Yoon, Faith and Seventh who all chose to be good during the course of the game). They are all people that at a certain point in their lives, surrounded by evil in its many forms, all chose to be the good they wished to see in the world. To think of them as evil is to think of them as completely different people who all gave up and that’s heartbreaking!!!!!
Adelaide is a character who’s greatest strength is...well her strength. Her uncanny ability to look evil in the face and do everything in her power to make sure the world can be a better place, even if she personally never gets to see it, she’ll gladly pave the way for the people who will come after her. As a child, she was surrounded by people who are, for lack of a better word, evil. Her mother was abusive, she saw first hand the greed behind politics, her father straight up does not care for her and her brothers were never the friends that she needed at that point in her life! AND WHAT MAKES ADELAIDE THE PERSON SHE IS IS THAT SHE CHOSE TO NEVER BE LIKE THEM!!! She hoped for the possibility of a world where everyone could be respected and then she realized herself (and at a rather young age) that she could be the person that helps make that difference, that if she wants a better world she’s going to work for it!!!! of course she has her own issues with this, she certainly has the opinion that she HAS to be the one to be good, putting a lot of pressure on herself and beating herself up because she’s not some perfect all-good person (no one is) BUT BUT BUT
an evil adelaide is an adelaide that gave up! that gave in to the world around her and I don’t blame her! it most certainly is a lot easier to just go with the flow than to actively fight the tide. an evil adelaide is just such a heartbreaking thought because it’s such a hollow person, it’s a person whose lost her best quality, her greatest strength. A person who doesn’t have the will to fight any more. and it’s very much a person that adelaide could have been if she hadn’t made that choice to be a good person.
Thinking of Mars as a cold-blooded killer who holds no remorse for his actions is....such a far-cry from mars. it really isn’t even him
Mars is a man who above all respects life and cares for people before he thinks of himself. He couldn’t stomach being a knight because he could not stand killing people!!! he could not stop thinking about the lives those people could have had or that they did have or why the knights even needed to jump to murder in the first place! and he didn’t want to stop thinking that way. He never wanted to say “i’m just following orders” because he knew that was no excuse for killing someone. He never wanted to become like the knights around him who had pulled themselves so far from their actions, who had learned to stop caring because they had to. He chose to be the sensitive person he is instead of shoving that aside to make his life easier. He endured his father’s belittling and harsh attitude about him because he knew what he was doing was right!
an evil mars is the mars that gave that up, that chose instead to be just like everyone else and push all his morals aside. a man whose become numb to death--which is Mars’ worst nightmare. It’s exactly the man he never wants to be!
*again, this comes in layers, Mars is still insecure about the fact he isn’t more like his father and his choices were not as deliberate...he really thinks that he left the knights because he was ‘weak’ not what it really was...which is that he could not condone the killing
And then I just think that evil camille is the camille that never got to know Mars and Adelaide. which is heartbreaking in its own way to think that these people really did save her life by just being there for her at that time. If she never got to know mars or adelaide she would have never known how warm the world could be, how nice it is to care for people and to have people who care for you. and in turn learning to care for the MC is such a big deal for her because she’s never had that! she never thought she would! no one told her she could! she grows so much and evil!camille is the camille that has given up on maturing! its the camille that never embraces the scared little girl inside of her and lets that girl cry and cry until she shrivels up and is just a speck in camille’s memory!!!!! rest in peace camille you’ll never be happy now because you’re evil and chose to drown yourself emotionally!!!!!
a nine-tailed yoon is just sad to think about in the way thinking about any full-fey is. It’s just not yoon anymore. it’s a husk. there’s no emotions, no remorse, no feelings.....literally everything about yoon that makes him a person is gone. just a monster. a whole monster.
and then faith with the six-eyes makes sense to me because I know why she would even get six-eyes in the first place but think about it like this....that’s the faith that never ran away from where she grew up. that’s what would have happened to her.
evil sid is probably the least evil because there’s no way...no way at all... to get this man to be completely evil. he’s just....completely different then, and not in the way the other characters are. mars could be evil if he stayed a knight, faith could be evil if she never left her home, etc. but sid just can’t be completely evil in any universe it would destroy his personality. IN HIS SOUL he just always has a part of him that makes him care for people!!!! he always loves his sister, he would always die for his friends. even as an evil pirate king who steals and murders and does whatever else pirates do he would still care for his crew!!! he’d die for them!! he would still have enough of his heart left in him to change his ways if he made that choice. he just....always is the man with the big heart. always. no matter what. even in this evil AU he’s not that evil.
all these evil versions are people that the ROs could have been.....and it hurts me to think that they could have been these people. it would be such a dark fos, so sad.
#wtf do i tag this as#i got emotional over my own characters lmfao#the evil au is all fun and games until you think about how it twists everyone

Since we're talking about food and cooking skills , what are the RO's cooking skills? Alternatively, their reaction to an MC that knows to cook very well, maybe cooks them breakfast to bed
Best to Worst Cooking Skill:
Sid -- loves cooking, loves food, best chef
Mars* -- technically a better baker, and an above-average but not amazing cook. He’s very good at following recipes, so you can be sure what ever he makes will turn out just as intended
Faith --- surprisingly good at cooking...but makes really weird foods. Loves to dump spice on everything
Yoon --- an okay cook, his food won’t kill you
Adelaide --- never really learned how to cook (she didn’t need to since she gets all her food made for her) but knows the basics. Could be a lot better if she practiced it but doesn’t really care
Camille --- THE WORST. cooks like she’s brewing potions, even in the same cauldron. Just dumps things together and calls it a soup. doesn’t have the patience to cook
As for an MC who knows how to cook well.....I mean, everyone appreciates that. It’s also might be an option in game so I won’t spoil anything.
