Miraculous x Heathers
brought to you by boredom and brainrot
Marinette banged on the closet door, on the verge of tears. “Please, Adrien!” she shouted. “Open the door!”
After a moment of struggle, she managed to kick open the door, running inside and turning on the light. The figure before her was not that of her love, however, but instead was her old partner. The traitor.
“Where is he?” She barked out to Cat Noir, looking around in hopes of finding Adrien hiding behind a stack of boxes or some clothes.
“He’s gone, Marinette. He asked me to take him out of Paris, so I did.” He watched her with a cold stare, but she could see the pleading in his emerald eyes, the foolish hope that he could ‘fix’ her. Her blood boiled at the thought of it. Did he think she was broken? Shouldn’t he of all people understand what it was like to be so uncontrollably possessed by love?
“Please, Marinette, it’s not too late. You can still fix this. We can fix this.”
There it was. The pleading, the hope, the pain in his voice. Marinette wiped away the hot tears flowing down her cheeks. Adrien was gone. He had left her. But that didn’t change anything. She would still go on with her plan, even if Adrien wasn’t by her side to witness it all. He’d see how much she loved him, even if it was on the news. Even if he couldn't be there to witness it with his own eyes.
“It is too late for me, kitty.” She murmured softly. “Chloe’s already dead, and soon, all of the students of Francoise Dupont will be dead too. Lila and Sabrina will join their dear leader, and the school will burn to the ground. After that... well, if Adrien can’t see how much I love him after that, then I’ll just have to burn down all of Paris.”
Cat Noir tensed, ready to pounce. “You can’t do that, Marinette. I won’t let you.”
Oh, but I can. Aren’t you tired of this? Always saving the city, always doing everything for everyone else, but getting nothing in return? Having your heart broken over and over again, no matter how hard you try?” In a moment of reckless inspiration, she gathered the courage to add, “Join me, kitty. Just think of how poetic it would be. Ladybug and Cat Noir. The so-called protectors of Paris, burning a high school-- no, the entire city down.”
She could see a million emotions flashing through his eyes all at once. Suprise, fear, horror, confusion. He stared at her wordlessly, clearly shaken by the revelation. In the back of her mind, she wondered how Adrien would react if he found out that she was Ladybug, too.

Yandere Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Adrien Agreste Headcanons (Poly!Romantic)
❝🐞 — lady l: hi!! I finally wrote this and it's set in an au where they eventually discover each other's identities to make more sense. I hope you like it and forgive me for any mistakes! ❤️
❝tw: obsessive and possessive behavior, stalking, polyamorous and unhealthy relationships.
❝🐞pairing: yandere!adrinette/ladynoir x gender neutral!reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everything was always very complicated between them. Marinette in love with Adrien and Adrien in love with Ladybug, both unaware of each other's identities and feelings.
Marinette always remained hiding her feelings for Adrien, too embarrassed to say anything and Adrien continued to yearn for Ladybug. This continued for a long time, until your arrival in their lives.
You were a new student and felt out of place after leaving your old school and your friends. You hoped to make friends at this new school, but you were afraid you wouldn't be able to do so. But luckily, or unluckily, you met Marinette first and she introduced you to her friends, who immediately liked you.
Marinette liked you, at first sight, you were so kind and sweet. She almost fell right there and it confused her, but she couldn't help but admire you.
Adrien became interested in you after a few conversations, and you caught his interest and attraction. He had something about you that made him attracted, and curious, an unknown feeling that he wanted to feel more of.
It wasn't difficult to notice their interest in you, Marinette constantly stuttering and blushing when you were around and Adrien, although shy, loved flirting with you and seeing you blush.
It wasn't easy to admit their interest in you, Marinette was still in love with Adrien but she really was in love with you, therefore, she didn't know what to do. Adrien was more resolute and acted in the way he knew how wanting to declare himself because he could no longer keep his feelings to himself.
Adrien was the one who first noticed Marinette's interest in you and he was surprised to notice that he didn't have a problem with it. If it were anyone else, he would have, but not with her. Because Marinette had a habit of stalking you incessantly, it didn't take long for her to realize that Adrien liked you. She was curious and excited, not jealous like she thought she would be.
They talked and decided to act quickly, both confessing to you. You were surprised and flattered and accepted, and finally, a romance happening.
Marinette is very jealous and overprotective, always wanting to know where you are and she will be very worried if she doesn't know. She will go so far as to use her Miraculous to look for you, even knowing the consequences.
Adrien is possessive, getting jealous very easily, and doesn't react well to it. He doesn't like it when you're with someone other than him and Marinette and will use intimidation to make someone stay away from you, whether with money or even his Miraculous.
They have always been very protective of you and at any sign of danger you will be quickly hidden and protected. They already talked about giving you a Miraculous, but Adrien considered it too dangerous. There was always a chance you could get hurt and he wasn't going to allow it.
You are spoiled intensely, clothes made by Marinette and bought by Adrien, jewelry, food, expensive and extravagant gifts to the simplest ones, like roses. You will never lack for anything as long as they are by your side.
They want to see you happy more than anything and will do everything to make that happen. They can't even think about the idea of you being akumatized, the idea alone sends them into a frenzy at the thought of it happening to you. No, they have to be sure that this will never happen.
Marinette is very kind and soft, a mask of her true stalker and extremely jealous side. Adrien is kind and calm, always with a smile on his face and ready to make you smile, but he acts very strangely when you don't do what he asks.
They know they shouldn't use Miraculous for selfish reasons but when it comes to you, they won't care. Marinette doesn't care about ruining herself for you and Adrien has been ruined for a long time.
You are theirs and anyone who tries to get in the way will suffer the consequences. After all, you didn't just belong to Marinette and Adrien, but also to Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Clover Rants Miraculously: Twice is a pattern... (Put under Readmore for spoilers)
I feel like the thing that bothers me about the whole “Lila and Kagami become friends so the former can turn the latter against Marinette because evil” isn’t that it isn’t a good storyline (Honestly, I’m kind of super interested in seeing what sort of dynamic they might develop through their new “friendship”) - it’s that they’ve done this with Lila like, two times already with “Chameleon” and “Ladybug”. I wanna see some new schemes from her - Where’s “Lila befriends Kagami to get an in with the rich people Illuminati/have a backup in case Gabemoth screws her over.”, or “Lila befriends Kagami because she thinks she’s friends with Ladybug and wants to learn her weaknesses” or “Lila befriends Kagami because she learns she was Adrien’s ex and wants to use her to get info on him so she can better mess with the Adrienette relationship/steal him from Marinette/get closer to him.” or even “Lila pretends to befriend Kagami because evil but then starts seeing they actually have a lot of similarities/share interests and accidentally becomes gay real friends with her”? (or maybe even “Kagami knows Lila’s trying to trick/use her to hurt Marinette and is pretending to go along with it so she can use her back because she knows she has a connection to Monarch/Hawkmoth and then also accidentally becomes gay real friends with her over unexpected similarities”)
I also, like a lot of people, feel like it’s...kind of a huge step back for Kagami’s character after all she’s been through in series and the development of her friendship with Marinette - especially when you consider how her whole breakdown in “Perfection” was related to her fearing she isn’t considered a good friend to her. Plus Kagami is established as someone who values truth (to the point she broke up with Adrien specifically because he wouldn’t be honest with her). Honestly, after what happened when she became Ryukomuri, she should have ended her friendship with Lila right then and there and would not have given her the second chance she did in “Protection” (Though considering her response to her in “Emotion”, she’s at least putting some distance in). Purposely putting the two together just so Kagami can get tricked/strung along by someone trying to take advantage of her (again) frankly seems just sort of...meanspirited to her whole character.
There’s also the whole thing about how she’s apparently now in love with Adrien again and is then going to be paired with his identical twin cousin yeah no problems there. I mean, similar to the Lila-friendship thing, I am sort of interested in seeing where they go with rekindling Adrigami (even onesidedly) - but it is kind of annoying that instead of either simply creating a new love rival (which frankly I can’t really recommend when the cast is already kind of bloated as is) or making use of the ones they still have like Chloe (Unless the crush ends after he ends their friendship - actually wait, is she still supposed to be in love with him after “Derrision”?), the show instead opted to shove Kagami back into her intro-phase role because apparently we simply can’t have her just move on from her old relationship and continue her friendship with Marinette, especially since Adrienette’s already canon anyway now that they’re dating - nah, let’s just make her a love rival again so she can act as a potential future Adrienette obstacle to give some semblance of romantic conflict. It’s like the writers ran out of idea of what to do with Kagami outside the Lila-friend plot, so they’re brought back the season 3 crush in the hopes of padding things out. And yeah, I know sometimes people fall back in love with old partners and feelings can’t be helped, but the fact that they did this so the story could (once again) have Kagami go full yandere and attack a girl over her possessiveness of Adrien, seems to be setting up some kind of pattern (or precedent) that I’m not really liking...

I’ve got a question for the miraculous fandom. So I read ALOT of miraculous ladybug fanfiction...and I’m kind of curious...why are there so many yandere Adrien fanfictions compared to yandere Marinette fanfictions?
I know REAL ladybug and chat wouldn’t ever be like these. People in fanfiction take the content and then dial certain aspects up to make their story seem more possible...or even just use the bare bones at times....so I get people taking how adrien does seem to stubbornly stick to his crush on ladybug and going what if he didn’t take no or he felt entitled to her. its easy to side step the things that contradict that like how he DID actually try to move on from ladybug with kagami where even a love akuma sensed he was interested in kagami and how he did learn in frozer so it wouldn’t just be him switching targets and he had that aspect called out.
Its easy to focus on how he seemed to still be focused on ladybug and making it just about romance rather than notice it was more about that ladybug is one of the few people he feels comfortable joking with and showing more sides of hsi personality and that its easier to lean into that even if its not requited because he at least feels accepted since its harder to open up and risk rejection if he risks showing those aspects to others as adrien. Even the route of using his tendancy to seem jealous and take out a chimney when he felt he wasn’t be included in plans. Mari has responded and bantered back to his flirting at times but I definitly like how people use what if adrien REALLY over stepped hsi boundary and using how his feelings didn’t go awary after he was told she liked someone else. I can see the fodder and all the opportunities to explore a what if Adrien went worst case yandere scenerio. but I’m curious is why the lack of Yandere Marinette fics? like I’ve seen plenty of adrien ruins mari’s life and sides with lila stuff(which technically make no sense since adrien clearly admires the hell out of civilian mari and clearly was never interested in lila and Lila technically doesn’t do anything that adrien knows about to mari til the test episode. and adrien’s thoughts about high road was more about how he felt lila would out herself on her own and that mari didn’t have to put herself in the cross roads to do it as technically Mari WAS making lila seem stronger and adrien’s point was proven to somedegree that the seat situation was fixed by the end of the episode. and technically lila never actually found out mari was going to stop trying to out her as form lila’s poit of view she was responding to mari trying to out her first).
Heck, we even seen a few yandere ones where it uses how adrien has stood up to chloe and lila(especially lila) when it comes to mari specifically as he did threaten/bribe lila to get mari back into school. and with adrien’s dad like he is.....the fodder to explore with yandere or obsessive adrien is vast....even if technically there ARE aspects that show adrien wouldn’t go that far that can poke holes in yandere adrien as a concept. but for marinette...there are technically LESS things that poke holes in the idea of yandere Mari..and heck there is MORE obsessive over adrien content IN the show...yet there is weirdly not alot of yandere or stalker mari or even possesive Mari fics when it comes to Adrien. like mari has said things like she needs to protect adrien from hsi own choices at times where she doesn’t trsut his judgement despite him clearly showing he knows lila is a liar or that he does enjoy kagami’s company where she would follow and mess with the situation behind the scenes. or she hates the ‘just friends’ line and ignored the context he is usually praising her. like Adrien has the picture gallery of ladybug on his phone...but he at least has the excuse that he literally can only see ladybug while he is a super hero. and everyone has to focus on the ladyblog. But mari has a physical wall of Adrien that even she kindof thinks is weird or could be seen as weird. She had his scheduale memorized with her reason being she just likes knowing where he is dismissing the small attempt of Alya to say that is weird. She and the girl’s lowkey had a kidnapping plan in secert garden to separate him from his bodyguard using the fact she knows adrien doesn’t bring his phone to work and a forged no parking sign. She had broken into his room and gone gaga over his things and smelled his pillow. She attacked a Santa despite Adrien saying the Santa didn’t kidnap him and said the Adrien she knew would never worry people by running away. and while she often has a good under reasons for things that we CAN focus on...their are some that kindof deflect that her original adrien motives might not have been the purest of reasons. Like when she helped adrien go to newyork but her main motives were due to not wanting him alone in paris with lila for example. or how she literally lied to her parents to go to hongkong because adrien was there. (just so you all know I LOVE marinette and I think she is wonderful and I actually find these aspects really interesting).
Heck everyone loves her and trusts in her good nature and sometimes enables her or encourages her or take her at face value...that could have alot of potential to deal with....heck even what happens when your a yandere but also too insecure and worried
I’m just curious. Mari doesn’t really get called out or learn lessons that directly address some of these issues unlike chat/adrien...and she has more overt things that echo that possessive side...and because we know her so well  we want to like and symapthize with her and understand her insecurities. and those things can even add more depth because its not like we can’t symapthize or understand the yandere or see where they have gone wrong. even as we can also simplify it down to make a stronger emphasis and get certain points across but not excusing it. What is it that make people less likely to explore those options with Mari and instead use Adrien more. Why not an equal amount? and I don’t really count salt fics either...I’ve literally gone from the back of archive moving forward so I don’t think I’m imagining this. TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET.

I feel Adrien would have been a more interesting character if they continued with rebelling against his father instead of throwing that away in favor of more sadrien moments. Like him showing up to places he was scheduled to be at, stayed there for about a few seconds then left because he didn't immediately see his instructor/person he was supposed to meet and offers up the excuse that he was technically there.
One of the problems too is that they gave him exactly what he wanted back in “Origins.” They could’ve held off or given Adrien something else and make Adrien work to really get out of the house and his schedule, but instead he’s given the freedom he deserves in both school and Chat Noir. There was nowhere to go after that, especially because they only seem interested in making Adrien rebel when they need Chat Noir to be around (”Startrain”) or so he can conveniently interrupt Lukanette moments (”Desperada”).

Thinking of it now, Kyo from Fruits Basket is a better Cat Boy love interest than Adrien could ever be. Despite the differing genres (One a "magical girl show" and the other a romantic, slice of life) the way Fruits Basket portrays romance that the ones in the relationship both give and take, they help each other, and both grow.
With the show having Kyo not use his missing mom or him having a crappy dad as excuses for being a jerk and actually growing with Tohru's help but mosyly due to his own volition instead of using Tohru as a clutch compared to limp noodle Adrien Agreste who has not grown at all and is just SadTM and not doing anything to improve his situation with the show and fans making it Marinette's problem and not something HE should do for himself and have him be a mopey sad boi because can't have Adrien do anything that makes him less perfect.
I’ve also been reading a webtoon recently called “My Gently Raised Beast.” It also features a cat love interest who can be very possessive, but he’s also basically a cat, so when you see him getting huffy or being needy, you’re just like, “yeah lol that’s a cat.” Adrien doesn’t have that, only the cat miraculous.
psychologicallyokay asked:
The thing is, they can meme Adrien a more well rounded character if they actually SHOW how the isolation and emotional abuse by his parent is affecting him. Give him an outlet in Plagg to actually TALK his emotions through and relate to the audience with, not shoehorning it in whenever someone else gets the spotlight. Like?? His issues SHOULD be talked about; his home life, his feelings of self worth, and his grief over his mother. But the writers seem allergic to the idea of doing it narratively or thematically that impacts the show or the audience in any meaningful way.
Instead, he’s just generally sad and fishes for sympathy.
Anonymous asked:
Sometimes I think the only way to do anything with Adrien would be if he went full-on yandere for Ladybug AND the show treated it seriously. Sometimes I feel that it's what would happen if Ladybug ever dated (giving his behavior). It was one thing when she said she liked someone already, but if he heard she is actually dating them, well... (At least it would be interesting, rather than just putting up with Mr. I'm An Ass But this Show Treats Me Like an Amazing Prince)
Gonna take a while guess and say that teaching about unhealthy relationships with actual depth and intelligence is a little beyond them.
I’d say that they have an unhealthy relationship with consistency or good writing in general, but there's not really a relationship at all if they’ve been forced to sleep outside in the doghouse for years now.

I feel like in the mariharem yandere au, the kwamis could eventually persuade mari to be fully accepting of the cult if they told her how fu killed the previous black cat and stole the ladybug miraculous, causing the whole murder spree to happen. like, even though fu claims it’s their fault for being yanderes, it’s totally his fault for being obsessive over the turtle miraculous and he himself killed someone and even tried to cover it up, so in a way, he’s the true villain. the kwamis could totally just be like “oh yeah the yandere thing is not really ~that~ bad, it’s just that fu wasn’t a proper miraculous holder” and “your harem is trying to protect you cuz the threats against you are far more serious, like lila could totally ruin your life and adrien would’ve been a thousand times worse than any yandere with his creepy harassment of you” and poor mari would eventually come to accept their logic. what do you think? sound plausible? I just love your idea so much, so thanks for creating this au. :)
Yeah, that's probably one of the eventualities of the cult. If Marinette is isolated long enough with only her captors and the kwamis (who fully support the captors), then she's very susceptible to manipulation. NOT Stockholm Syndrome (doesn't exist), but gaslighting.
Oh, your friends abandoning you was worse than you remember, you're just too good to think poorly of them.
Oh Adrien abused you, he planned to do horrible things, you should be glad we killed him.
Oh, your parents neglected you, we were saving you from them.
Memories aren't concrete; they change bc our perceptions change, or we were told it was different, or a movie scene got mushed in there.
Marinette looses to the cult.

(Accidental 150 Follower Special) IOTA's Top 10 Worst Episodes of Miraculous Ladybug (Part 1)
If you saw one of my earlier posts, an anon asked what my favorite and least favorite episodes of Miraculous Ladybug were. So, I decided to make a little list explaining the best and worst this show has to offer.
A few quick ground rules here. I'm not going to list any episodes I had previously talked about in some of my other posts. This includes “Kung Food”, “Animaestro”, “Syren”, “Reflekdoll”, “Chameleon”, and most of the episodes relating to Chloe's “damnation arc” that Astruc planned since he first created the character (“Despair Bear”, “Queen Wasp”, “Malediktator” and “Battle of the Miraculous”). Also, I'm not counting the specials, mainly because aren't listed as episodes, and because I don't want to talk about them.
Other than that, anything goes, so let's get things started with the worst list.
These are the Top 10 Worst Episodes of Miraculous Ladybug (in my personal opinion because your opinion is also valid)
#10: Stormy Weather 2
Tumblr media
“Stormy Weather” was the very first episode of the show, and it really made a good impression on new viewers. So naturally, when it was announced that Stormy Weather would return, fans were excited. Then when the episode aired, Hawkmoth gave her even more powers, including the power to create a volcano big enough to potentially knock the planet out of orbit when it erupts. So Ladybug and Cat Noir have no choice but to stop the villain once again.
What does this plot lead to?
youtube
Yep, this episode is nothing more than a clip show. I understand that clip shows and bottle episodes are a necessary evil, but why would you set up something this awesome with a fan-favorite Akuma like Stormy Weather, and then not even bother to show it?
This episode is yet another attempt at showing that the show totally has character development. The whole reason Aurore is Akumatized into Stormy Weather again is because Chloe says that people can't change because Astruc (who was one of the four people writing this episode) is determined to make you hate this teenage girl more than the main villain of the show.
So of course, everyone spends most of the episode talking about how much they've changed, which is represented through clips of past episodes that do a horrible job at actually conveying any development.
According to Marinette, Adrien has “become a friend she can talk to about anything, except when it comes to her feelings for him”. Ah yes, you can tell they're friends by the fact that they barely hang out together, much less share a conversation because the writers are going to drag out the whole “Marinette stammering in front of Adrien” until they get tired of it. So basically, never.
All Alya and Nino talk about is how Ladybug helped them become a couple, and become superheroes, even though neither of those are actually related to character development. Though that is a fitting metaphor for the way both of their personalities have basically devolved to “the couple”.
Chloe talks about how nicer she's gotten, while footage of her doing awful things is played. I wonder who wrote that part in...
Even Ladybug and Cat Noir talk about how much they've grown and how stronger they've gotten, as opposed to focusing on STOPPING ANOTHER ICE AGE FROM HAPPENING. How can Hawkmoth even think this will get him the Miraculous? Yeah, sure I guess he can get them from the frozen corpses of our heroes, but what then? He still doomed humanity, and I don't think he can reverse the damage like Ladybug.
Towards the end, the clip show becomes slightly interesting, as Adrien mentions an unsigned card he got for Valentine's Day in “Dark Cupid”, and how similar the handwriting looks to Marinette's.
Does this lead to Adrien figuring out Marinette has feelings for him? Is the sky bright red? Both of these questions have the same answer.
Yeah, out of nowhere, Adrien just mentions Luka, who wasn't mentioned at all in this episode, and immediately thinks Marinette is in love with him. And that's how the episode ends.
I put this at the bottom of the list because I don't think it's completely fair to judge clip shows, but even some clip shows at least try to put in some effort and justify the clips, like what The Legend of Korra and some seasons of Power Rangers did. And the fact that the whole point of the episode is a poor excuse to claim that there's character development in the show only makes it even more infuriating.
Oh my God, this is only Number 10...
#9: Oblivio
Tumblr media
While I already talked about “Cat Blanc”, this episode shares a similar theme as that episode: Giving viewers what they've wanted for three seasons, Marinette and Adrien finally learning each other's identity and starting a romantic relationship... only for the reset button to be once again slammed, making the entire episode pointless.
The only difference is that unlike in “Cat Blanc”, where there was an actual love confession that made sense, here, Marinette and Adrien find out the other's identity when they get their memories wiped by the Akuma of the week, Oblivio.
From then on, it's just fanservice. Instead of actually developing the relationship between Marinette and Adrien, the writers just decide to cram an entire episode worth of Adrienette content into a single episode just to tide fans over. Marinette and Adrien seriously fall in love despite only knowing each other for like, an hour at most. And the fact that the writers undo all the romantic progress of the episode makes it come across as pointless.
But the ending is what really cements this episode's spot on the list. As soon as Oblivio is defeated, Alya takes a picture of Ladybug and Cat Noir kissing without their consent and then rubs it in Ladybug's face.
Even though Ladybug doesn't know the circumstances (she has no memory of the events of the episode), this was still an invasion of her privacy, and she looks horrified by the picture that Alya is obviously going to post on her blog.
Tumblr media
And of course, Cat Noir is more than happy to see it, ignoring how Ladybug feels and claims that they'd make a great couple. Because everyone knows good couples are formed by someone gaslighting the other into going out with them.
But wait, it gets better! In the next scene, we learn that Alya and Nino were akumatized into Oblivio... because they were caught in an embarrassing situation by their peers.
Alya: Remember when we visited Montparnasse Tower? Well, we went and hid to play Super Penguino, but Ms. Bustier caught us, and...
Nino: And you guys made fun of us for playing that game, saying it wasn't our age and all.
Alya: We were totally embarrassed at getting caught.
This was my thought process when I first heard Alya and Nino's explanation.
youtube
How can Alya claim to take a compromising picture of Ladybug, ignore how she feels, and not realize the similarity from when she and Nino were akumatized? This is what completely killed Alya for me in canon. This was the point where I couldn't care less if Marinette was friends with her or not. Sure, there are still fanfics, but those actually portray her with some kind of conscious. So to summarize, Fanon Alya is awesome, but I hope Canon Alya's 4G plan runs out.
This episode is just forgettable, but the ending made things worse. Apart from, I guess the action scenes and some funny jokes, this episode has no redeeming qualities. Like, literally the best thing to come from this episode was @miraculouscontent‘s LadyBugOut AU, as it actually addressed the hypocrisy of Alya's character, among other problematic aspects of the show.
#8: Oni-Chan
Tumblr media
Just a heads up, most of the episodes on this list are from Season 3. Just want to give you an idea of what to expect.
This episode is about Lila tricking Adrien into helping with her homework, when she is only doing it to get closer to Adrien. Marinette tries to spy on the two and stop Lila from hurting Adrien... even though she knows Adrien is aware that Lila is a liar, and is visibly uncomfortable around her.
And because the episode spends so much time on Marinette following Adrien and Lila, the buildup to Kagami getting akumatized is incredibly rushed. Seriously, she gets a single line of dialogue before she gets akumatized, and the motive is ridiculous too. Lila sends a picture of her forcing a kiss on Adrien, and Kagami immediately bursts into tears at the sight of it.
But wait, it gets better! When Kagami is akumatized into Oni-Chan (the writers know that's a term used for males in Japan, right?), she turns into a psycho hellbent on killing Lila because “Adrien doesn't deserve her”. Most of her dialogue is her saying how much she loves Adrien, making her come across as, for lack of a better word, a yandere.
This episode just destroys Kagami's character, making her as unlikable as Katie Killjoy in the process. If it wasn't for “Ikari Gozen” actually treating her like a human being (obviously Astruc's planned character development from the beginning), I'd completely hate her.
It also shows how much of an evil genius Lila is, as she has the brilliant idea to convince Oni-Chan to kill the only person capable of saving her from the Akuma's wrath. And this somehow gives Hawkmoth the idea to forge an alliance with Lila. It's also another reason why I believe in Darwinism.
This episode is low on the list because it does have a few redeeming qualities, like Lila facing consequences for lying, however brief they may be, and it has a great character moment with Adrien realizing on his own how terrible Lila really is, a far cry from what he was like in “Chameleon”.
Other than that, it's pretty bad, and still deserves a spot on this list.
#7: Antibug
Tumblr media
HA! I said MOST of the episodes involving Chloe's “Damnation Arc” wouldn't be on this list, but not ALL OF THEM, so this one counts! Take that, convoluted rules I made up for some reason!
What was I talking about again? Oh right, “Antibug”. Oh crap, “Antibug”...
This is one of of several episodes in Miraculous Ladybug that really should have been a two-parter. It tries to be daring and includes two Akumas in one episode, but both of them are poorly executed.
An invisibly entity starts harassing Chloe, so Ladybug and Cat Noir start an investigation. It turns out to be Chloe's lackey Sabrina, who was akumatized after a falling out between the two. Well, I say “falling out” lightly, because what actually happened was that Chloe and Sabrina were cosplaying as Ladybug and Cat Noir, Chloe pretended to be the real deal while crashing an interview with Jagged Stone before Sabrina accidentally blew her cover, causing Chloe to be humiliated on TV and end her “friendship” with Sabrina.
Ladybug learns this from Chloe's butler, while Chloe never mentions the incident. So when Ladybug and Cat Noir engage the Akuma, Ladybug ignores Chloe's advice on where the corrupted object, naturally not trusting her judgment. And this is portrayed as a bad thing.
This episode is the start of a long-running trend in Miraculous Ladybug: Marinette needing to learn a lesson, while Adrien/Cat Noir is the one to help teach that lesson.
Chloe did nothing to help, only made things worse, and lied about why Sabrina got akumatized. It's kind of obvious why Ladybug wouldn't trust her word. The whole point of The Boy Who Cried Wolf wasn't to trust the liar after all.
But if that was all the episode did, it wouldn't be on the list, because now, the narrative wants to make the audience feel bad for Chloe before she gets akumatized into Antibug... who is just a lazy palette swap because new character models are expensive.
This part of the episode isn't nearly as bad as the first half, but like “Oni-Chan”, Chloe's akumatization is incredibly rushed, and we don't really get a chance to sympathize with her before she goes full Antibug.
Even Antibug herself isn't that interesting of a villain. The whole idea of an evil doppelganger is that they're a perfect match for the hero, but we only see Ladybug and Antibug fight for a few seconds, while Cat Noir does most of the fighting with her while Marinette's Kwami recharges. I like that Ladybug and Cat Noir show their teamwork to defeat Antibug, but I feel it would have been more interesting to see Ladybug and Antibug duke it out before Cat Noir helps turn the tide.
Again, this episode really needed to be a two-parter to better expand on the story presented here, because it had a really interesting premise. I'd personally read the version of “Antibug” in @justanotherpersonsuniverse‘s “The Adventures of Panthera Noire” (an AU fanfic where shy girl Juleka gets the Cat Miraculous instead of Adrien). Not only does it have two separate chapters for Vanisher and Antibug, it also does a good job of setting Chloe on an actual redemption arc, unlike Astruc's “damnation arc”.
#6: The Puppeteer 2
Tumblr media
As much as I've ragged on Adrien/Cat Noir in some of my other posts (and will continue to do so in this list), that doesn't mean I think Marinette has problems too, and this episode is a prime example.
Marinette and Adrien go to a wax statue museum with their friends (and Manon), but because of a poor choice of words by Nino, Adrien thinks that Marinette hates him. So he does something that everyone loves, practical jokes.
Adrien seriously thinks that pranking Marinette will improve her opinion of him. Even the prank is ridiculous, pretending to be a wax statue to make her laugh. And it leads to... Oh God... This is easily the contender for one of the worst moments in the entire show. Marinette goes up to the statue and... gets close to it. Yes, we, the audience know that this isn't a statue, but putting that aside, just look at what Marinette does to the “statue” (AUTHOR’S NOTE: I made a gif from the episode, but it wouldn’t go through, so I recommend you check out the episode and watch the statue scene for yourself if you don’t value your sanity). Even Adrien, as dense as he can be, is a little unsettled by what Marinette does.
If the scene was about Marinette talking about her feelings for Adrien, I'd be more lenient on it, but this? This is just uncomfortable to watch.
Even the dialogue makes Marinette sound incredibly creepy.
Marinette: Wow... it looks so... real. The wax is nearly as hot as skin. It even smells exactly like him...! Oh, beautiful statue of Adrien, your wax is so soft! Your yak hair is silky. Your eyes are so green. Oh, shall I be a statue, too! Everything would be so much easier. Why haven't we been molded together in the plaster of destiny? Marble to marble, wax lips against wax lips, entwined for eternity...
I think Gilbert Gottfried said it best.
youtube
This scene alone put this episode on the list, and the Akuma doesn't make it better. I really liked “The Puppeteer”, and I thought her ability to control past Akuma victims was incredibly fun to watch. And when she returns to take control of the wax statues of past Akumas they... don't use their powers (with the exception), and serve as cannon fodder for Ladybug and Cat Noir to plow through, making the return of the villain very underwhelming.
Even the end where Adrien tells Marinette that he is in love with someone and only sees her as a friend. This should devastate Marinette, but in the next scene, thanks to some fortune cookie nonsense from Tikki, she's still unsure about her relationship with Adrien, and that's how the episode ends. Seriously. Because just need to keep the status quo consistent, right? It's not like Marinette doubting her crush on Adrien and worrying that she's just wasted her time would have been interesting to see, right? Play that happy ending theme already!
Of all the episodes on this list, this is the one I was dreading talking about the most because of some of the moments here. And yet, there are still episodes that are worse than this one...

So I just looked up Hanako's wiki. And well......
Thanks I hate it. Just I like her design, hate her. I hate that she's a rival, I hate that she's supposed to be lewd, jailbaity and pervy. I hate that she's just creepy female senpai. No just fucking no! No this character doesn't just need to be redesigned. She needs a total character over hall (just like this piece of shit game)!
And believe it or not I've been thinking way too much about how to do that. With some influence from YouTube artist Callimara. Just please do me a favor and go watch her what's ruining Yandere simulator video (also check out her reworking of Yandere-chan and senpai. They're really well thought out and a fun watch.) Seriously, the story line in this game just needs to be completely redone. Alright mini rant aside (note: I'm not done with this topic but I'll probably type out my thoughts some other time, just not here), lets talk about the redesign.
First off, there's no way this character is older than 15 (fuck what the wiki says). So I'd thought I'd play up her cute/adorable aesthetic with Lolita style! (well, I tried at least) She's wearing the full uniform, except, like Kizana, she's wearing her own peter pan collared lolita top.(look it up you'll see what I mean). Also put the petticoat under the skirt again, and changed her plain socks to cute button-up leg warmers with a heart clasp to match her hair beret. I changed her pigtails mostly because I was having trouble drawing her original ones. (kinda not happy with them. She looks too much like Marinette from Miraculous). Finally I changed her eye color to separate her from her brother a little more. Unless they're twins, which they're not, there is no need for her to look like a carbon copy of senpai and I hate those type of family designs.
On to Megami.  You're sick of hearing me say it by now.....
I hate the fucking socks in this game! Especially hate Megami's. Not the socks themselves, but in combination with the sailor uniform and the matching gloves, they're garbage. Also quick note why does the student council have different uniforms from the rest of the students? would 't make more sense to give everyone the same uniform and just alter it a bit? Honestly I think I like the student council uniforms more than any of the other uniforms you can choose from in the game. Why not just give everyone that uniform and invert the colors? Leave the student council uniforms white with red accents and everyone else can have red with white accents. As for what I did for Megami. I wanted her to look more sophisticated and proper compared to everyone else. You know cause she's the student council president and daughter of a wealthy influential businessman who just so happens to own the school? So compared to everyone else she wears her uniform more properly. No unnecessary accessories, no eye catching bold colors, full uniform. I do still like the idea of the student council having a slightly different uniform, so I made her blazer white with red details. Also put her hair up in a half bun to complete the look.

Miraculous ladybug rant
Alright alright, I dont like getting in to "ship wars" or participating in ship culture or any of that nonsense
but here are my thoughts.
when master fu first gave Adrien and Marinette their respective kwamis he said that "they were meant for each other," and we all took it to mean Adrien and Marinette were meant for one another. However, im going to choose that it meant the kwamis and the kids were meant for each other, since that makes more sense then some random old dude shipping two preteens together. Another reason for this interpretation? because otherwise it is the author telling us something instead of showing us. In season one we were shown that Adrien and Marinette were kind people both with their own set of flaws, but Adrien hardly even talked to Marinette until towards the end of season 1 and there was never even the slightest bit of indication he thought of her as anything but a friend, if even that. So being out right told that "these two characters are my end game, even if they have no chemistry whatsoever, I created these two to be together so thats it, now just wait for them to get together." feels like a twist of fate that just feels forced.
So when the show introduces rivals to create some fabricated tension for the main couple (that still hasn't got much screen time to even be believable) you might think the main couple might start showing more initiative towards each other. Instead we have Kagami who Adrien actually shows interest towards. When she is in the episode they interact far more then Adrien and Marinette ever seem to and he encourages her to befriend his friends so they are closer. Marinette gets jealous sure, but... lets be honest, when it comes to Adrien, Marinette gets jealous of everyone. She is just as bad as Chloe, she's just nicer about it.
Then for Marinette we are introduced to Luka. A soft spoken, very mature guy. From day one Luka showed more interest in Marinette, connected with her quickly and SAW Marinette. He has already confessed to her and Marinette reciprocates but is hung up on the fantasy she has of Adrien Agreste.
So instead of tension to push the main couple towards each other, we are introduced to two very likable alternatives that both Marinette and Adrien show more interest towards then each other. And yet.... the author tweets out that the characters "disagree" with the viewers. As a writer myself, there are times I realize that the characters Ive created and wanted to be together just... arent going to be together. This certainly gets some readers riled up as they decided from chapter 1 who should be together and they get upset if it doesnt happen. but im not about forcing two people together just because its in high demand or if it was the original plan. When the characters themselves show interest in other people, or have minds of their own, then.... who am I as the author to force them to change just because I want them to? My job is to tell their story, not forcefully make them do what I want as if they are puppets. being told that (specifically) Luka and Marinette disagree with the idea of liking/dating each other and yet having the evidence in the writing itself that that isnt true. feels like the author themself is trying to force the characters to do what they want instead of letting the characters do what they want. (any good story allows characters to do what they want, the plot follows the characters, the characters dont follow the plot)
I know Adrien and Marinette's meeting was attempted to be played off as a version of enemies to lovers trope. but it didnt really work. there was no development for them to start liking each other, we got one scene with the umbrella in the rain that changed Marinette's mind about this kid she saw as a bully, but Adrien was just desperately trying to not be hated. He didnt like her, he wasnt trying to win her heart romantically. His actions only showed how bad his home life is when it comes to emotional support. Not any semblance of a kid being attracted to, interested in, or trying to win over the other person.
Im curious how future seasons will play out, but Id be lying if I said I was actually looking forward to them. I have a hard time sitting through episodes of MLB, in fact I tend to skip through most episodes because the majority of the writing makes me cringe. whenever it doesnt, I watch, which Ive found are the episodes Where Marinette is being herself and not freaking out over Adrien and not being jealous of anyone who so much as looks at Adrien. (writing this I suddenly wonder if Marinette is a yandere trope) And the episodes where characters interact with each other in believable, mature ways.

Juleka in the Panthera Noire au
This is probably gonna be pretty long
Okay so as I’ve said before, Juleka is the cat holder in this au. She’s still insecure, quiet, maybe a little self deprecating.. but becoming the cat holder gives her a new feeling of pride and freedom.
She’s still stressed out a bit with trying to keep her now very influential role and reputation as Panthera as positive, but like Adrien, she’s now experiencing a feeling of opportunity she’s not afraid to work with
I’ve made a running gag where Juleka blames Plagg for making her flirty, and maybe he is, but it’s mostly her being allowed to be playful without the fears of someone following her home, someone bullying her for one small thing she did, she’s in a position of power that people can respect her for- it gives her control in her life. Maybe one day that could get unhealthy, as she is so separate between personalities, but for now- she’s happy to be Panthera.
Speaking of which, Juleka’s relationships in the story:
Let’s start with Ladybug.
She’s not oblivious, and despite glamour, she’s already put it together that Ladybug is Marinette. They share a respectful and playful relationship in costume, spending nights together just talking about themselves and their lives, getting to know each other— I think Chat Noir’s infatuation with Ladybug can cloud his judgment, so the fact that Juleka is completely romantically disinterested in her partner (in fact she’s a little scared of the idea of them being in love with each other), leaves her more time to get to know Marinette in a different light.
Due to this, their mindsets as partners is different. Instead of sacrificing herself constantly for Ladybug, Juleka trusts the fact that Marinette can handle herself and- if someone pointed it out to her- she’d be able to dodge an attack that Chat Noir would normally throw himself in front of and make Ladybug deal with all on her own. Not salting on adrien I promise, but the difference is there for a reason. This actually makes them more equals as they’re watching each other’s backs instead of actively taking the hits for them. Ladybug isn’t a damsel in distress. She’s someone who could haul Panthera over her shoulder and throw her several meters without sweat. Fucking respect.
I think Panthera will still be left out, that’s a Fu problem not her, and I think she’d be less butt hurt than Chat.. but her trust with Ladybug would definitely wager a little. Maybe a little offended that she wasn’t trusted? Because god she felt like she could be? She doesn’t almost quit during Syren though, she’s probably just chilling with Luka or something.
For extra spice though, I’d like to imagine that Juleka is a little jealous of Ladybug? Not Marinette. Juleka accepts the idea that ‘Juleka’ compared to ‘Marinette’ would lose by a landslide, but Ladybug? She feels outshadowed slightly and it hurts cause she works just as hard as her partner. It’s a little feeling, and something she feels guilty for, but it’s the fans that she has that makes Juleka feel better.
Speaking of which.. Rose.
Rose has a crush on both Panthera and Juleka in this fic. She discovered the fact that she likes girls thanks to Panthera, much to Juleka’s delight, however she’s most definitely in love with Juleka- who thinks she’ll only be able to win her best friend over as Panthera.
It doesn’t help that Rose expresses her love of Panthera a lot more to Juleka, and is basically her biggest fan. It’s sad and complicated but they’ll work it out eventually.
Oh yeah- and I might’ve accidentally written Rose a little yandere-y. Which is cursed on its own- but then I remember Princess Fragrance and I’m like “you know what that’s in character”
Now Luka.. I’m gonna ramble a little about personal stuff and family shit so apologies in advance:
Juleka is a lot more free with her super hero identity, Luka already fucking knows due to her detransforming when he was in her room.
Now one of the things I have with this is the problems with their family
Despite me liking Anarka usually, I need to address the fact that while she probably does love her kids, she’s not really a good parent. Not a bad person! But not a good person to watch over kids.
I have an aunt who’s like her in a way, very chaotic and free living, a very fascinating person to talk to. Anyways- while I love her lots, and I know she loves me too- if my mom needed to leave for a week and she handed me over to her- I’d be eating old take out every night and cereal for breakfast and last minute 12 am pizza and “you can handle dinner right? Can I have this?” even though I’m the kid.
She’s not bad by any means, but she wouldn’t really be there to watch over me, more like be in the same house as me while I feed and take care of myself.
The life lessons I’d get wouldn’t be “Be careful and be sure of the things you want to do, Communicate with me and I’ll help and support you in the way I can just don’t do it behind my back” that I’d get from my mom but instead “fuck yeah stick it to the man just do it what do you have to loose?”
Her advice to me for dying my ends a different color was “You should just dye your whole head, if you want color in your hair you might as well show it!”
That’s what I’m drawing from basically in that sense. Not a bad person, not neglectful, not purposely mean— but not the best parent who’ll be around to teach a kid responsibility. Anarka lives by the beat of her own drum, but what about her kids? She expects them to keep up.
But Luka knows Juleka can’t handle that, so he parents her. Their relationship is less sibling and more parental, and that’s what the rift between them is.

Soft and Angsty idea after Chat Blanc
So, as I was telling @lenoreofraven, I just thought of an AU where Chat Blanc didn’t really get purified, in a sense. Like, Chat Blanc joins Marinette in her timeline/world since his is destroyed and he doesn’t have a life like that. Marinette is able to work miraculous ladybug AND purify the butterfly, but Chat Blanc is still a thing. She doesn’t sign the card still and everything, but now she has this softly Yandere/crazy cat who mostly wants cuddles and comfort from her. As the guardian position takes route, he is the only one she’s actually able to talk with about everything because HE isn’t of her Timeline. Idk, it just came to me and yeah.

So...last night I decided to watch THAT episode of Miraculous in full. The one that kicked off the mostly lousy third season, cemented Lila as the most evilest monster on the show, and inspired a thousand salt fics: “Chameleon”. This show has seen it’s share of poorly written stupid episodes, and this one was pretty top tier in terms of stupidity, not gonna lie. It was very, very dumb. But that’s all it was.
Seriously, THIS was the episode that pissed off so many viewers, sent shockwaves through the fandom, and outed so many truly deranged minds who’d write salt fics about torturing and murdering a 14 year old girl for her actions here? The one that’s made out to be the definitive Animated Atrocity to come from this show? Sure, it relied on the “everyone acts like idiots” plot device in it’s writing in order to force the initial conflict, but it was otherwise just a basic dumb episode that doesn’t seem worth getting offended over, and didn’t leave me with any negative thoughts or feelings that lingered after I got done with it. I REALLY don’t understand the ML fandom if so many in it got triggered over something silly like this.
The few specific things I did note about it:
- Marinette is still full-on Yandere over Adrien. When that’s still a thing three seasons in, it starts to become to the character’s detriment.
- While the lie about tinnitus wasn’t bad on Lila’s part, the whole conflict over seating arrangements that it spawned was so stupid, especially since it gets so easily solved at the episode’s end.
- From the reputation this episode gets, I’d kind of expected that the class turning against Marinette due to Lila’s lies would take up more than just the first five minutes. Seriously, it took up so little of the episode and was so mild in how it was portrayed that I was kind of shocked since the class is so demonized for this is so many salts. Moreoever, Lila lying that she’d seen someone get their eye gouged out by the tip of a napkin and everyone seriously believing that made it clear what a farce the whole thing was. It was played for laughs. But I guess all the adult children in the audience didn’t get the joke.
- I get that Marinette hates liars on principle, but she just made the dumbest moves here, trying to tell Alya and Nino about how she knows Lila is a liar which could’ve risked exposing that she’s Ladybug, and making such an open display of challenging Lila and declaring her a liar to her classmates without any solid proof.
- I’ve covered the bathroom scene before, but it’s tricky ‘cause I really do believe that Lila, unusually for her, didn’t tell a single lie to Marinette. Her attitude at first was a lie rather than her words - the super sweet, thoughtful, innocent, nice and worried act she was putting on was very clearly calculated and designed to win Marinette over and make her think better of her so that she’d agree to see things Lila’s way. When Marinette was having none of it, there’s this brief little sigh Lila does before her expression, tone, and body language changes as she shows her true face to Marinette and threatens her. But all the things she was saying that whole time were things I think she believed were true, things she really meant and would commit herself to. She sincerely thought she might’ve made Marinette cry and wanted to check on her, she sincerely didn’t know why Marinette didn’t like her (since she doesn’t know Marinette = Ladybug), she sincerely did think that jealousy about the seating arrangement with Adrien might be Marinette’s problem, and she sincerely did want to be friends rather than enemies. Marinette blew her chance to get to the heart of Lila’s lying and try to make peace with her. But Lila was at least reasonable enough to give her an ultimatum and a window of time to think it over so, there’s that.
- “And I thought Chloe was evil, but Lila really takes the whole cake!” Oh, Marinette. You’ll be eating those words at the end of the season.
- I’ve seen some fans claim that Lila’s biggest Berserk Button is having her lies seen through and being called a liar outright. If this is true, then this episode isn’t consistent with that. Lila admits she respects Marinette for being “a little smarter” than the rest of her class because she saw through her lies, which is why she was going to give her a fair chance to decide if she wanted to be with her or against her. And when Adrien admits that he knows she’s been lying, that’s not what gets her upset - it’s that Adrien brings up “that time with Ladybug”. THAT’S what set Lila off on him and made her think he was being sanctimonious towards her; it sparked a bad memory.
- Hawk Moth, I love you, but what the fuck are you doing here? This is after the Season 2 finale, so why are you still a thing? Like with Marinette’s obsessive crush on Adrien, Gabe’s Akumatizing shtick has worn out it’s welcome when we’re three seasons into the show.
- Lila should get credit for at least being well aware of what kind of person she is - she jumps at the chance to snatch up that Akuma for herself and asks Hawk Moth outright to make her a “supervillain” so that she can destroy Ladybug. She really IS a costume-less villain! That said, I see her more as being “naughty” than truly evil, though I’m sure that Lila starting it off for Hawk Moth this time with “I am Lila” is fuel for the “Lila’s the future Hawk Moth” theories some fans have.
- So the conflict with Chameleon for most of the episode is that Lila, assuming the form of Adrien (and a little boy at one point), is trying to seize every possible chance she can find in her fight with Ladybug to kiss Ladybug. ‘Cause kissing another is how she assumes their form. And she wants to become Ladybug in order to tarnish her reputation. So she keeps on trying to kiss her. It’s the dumbest, gayest shit. I can’t imagine taking an episode like THIS so goddamn seriously
- Lila’s a good actress when she’s being herself, but when she’s someone else she just discards professionalism and hams it up like nobody’s business. I love it!
- When Adrien was unconscious, Plagg thought that only a kiss could wake him up and was going to do it. But he got up before Plagg could kiss him. We were CHEATED.
- For a consummate liar, Lila has a surprising amount of honesty about her evilization. When impersonating Adrien, she acts like a jerk and steals Nino’s hat, an opportunity to put a dent in Adrien and Nino’s friendship...but instead she announces that she’s actually a shape-shifting villain who’s headed to the Eiffel Tower so that Nino’s feelings are spared and his friendship with Adrien remains in-tact. Then later she’s telling her classmates all about how she was that supervillain and what her experience with Ladybug at the Eiffel Tower was like. The details were lies, but the basis is still in true events.
- Adrien was alright here, really. I liked his line to Marinette about the risk in exposing Lila and publicly humiliating her - “Making a bad guy suffer has never turned them into a good guy.” Which is especially true of a bad guy as young as Lila is. And sure enough, just doing nothing and letting Lila trip over her own lies ended up more effective at getting a good consequence than blatantly trying to expose her.
- Whoever made the ending shot had to know what they were doing. Marinette and Lila have their backs to each other, and whose eyes are pasted up above? Hawk Moth’s. Whatever Marinette and Lila’s conflict with each other is and whichever sides they find themselves on, he is the only true villain here and both girls are his victims.
I came out of the episode NOT thinking everyone but Marinette were scum and wanting to torture or kill Lila Rossi as punishment that’s disproportionate to her crimes. I’d be interested to hear any thoughts.

No Choice - Eyes On Me (A ML and Yandere Sim Crossover)
Sabine Cheng wasn’t surprised when Marinette smiled at dinner that night, her joy too much to contain. Marinette was lost in her thoughts of Adrien, wondering what he was eating for dinner, if he would ever enjoy dinner with her family. Her mother made no comments, but Marinette picked up on it.
It was different now, knowing that her mother was like her. Of course, she couldn’t prove it, but nothing really needed to be said. It didn’t affect Marinette, so she chose to let it be.
Marinette couldn’t dwell on it for too long. She needed to prepare for what was to come.
Adrien would always be in danger. He was a high priority, especially with his close relation to the Bourgeois family. Marinette would have to protect him at all costs, and that meant finding out who was a threat and eliminating them.
The guy who they let go was found to be acting alone, save for the two dead guys. She crossed him off her mental list. Marinete would deal with him if he ever became an issue, but chose not to concern herself with him for now. Next, her partner.
There was no doubt for Marinette that he had some sense of justice in him. She’d gotten away with killing two people the other day, but from his standpoint, he probably assumed it was necessary. If he stuck around, found her doing questionable things, there was no telling what he’d do about it.
If he was the vigilante type as she assumed he was, he was a loose cannon she couldn’t afford to have around. She’d give him the benefit of the doubt for now. If he showed up again, Marinette would have to take care of him.
Emotions or not, Adrien was her only priority. Nobody would be allowed to interfere with that.
Marinette was a talented designer. This wasn’t hard to understand. One look at her room, you’d see the influx of materials and sketches all around. Marinette couldn’t say she liked doing it, only that it was easy. Simple. Useful.
She made quick work of the night hours, giving up sleep in order to be prepared. Marinette would need a mask at the least. Adrien would have a high chance of accidentally seeing her face, and he most likely wouldn’t take kindly to her killing people.
Her uniform would have to do, considering if Marinette had to take care of someone in the school, it would be too hard to hide evidence like a bloody costume. She settled for hiding a backup uniform in her bag. She wasn’t an expert, but this was all she could do for now. As the sun began to rise, what she had would work for now.
At least now the mask wasn’t flimsy, and couldn’t be tracked anywhere. A simple red fabric would work well enough to ease suspicion.
“Marinette, honey!” Her mother pushed the trap door open, and look around at the chaos in the room. “Breakfast is ready. Don’t forget to clean up. Your father won’t like this if he finds out, okay sweetie?”
The threat in her mother’s voice was clear.
“Yes mom.” Marinette packed her bag, uniform hidden under books, and began to clean up the mess. When she headed downstairs, her mother handed her the small knife, cleaned and sharp, along with a small pouch. Inside, Marinette found a string attached to two pieces of wood.
“It’s a garrote wire. Use it wisely.” Her mother informed, pushing her daughters hands down as Tom Dupain entered the kitchen. To anyone else, it would look like she’d smuggled her a sweet instead of a weapon. “Good morning, dear.”
“Morning Papa.” Marinette slipped the items into her skirt pockets and sat down at the table with her father.
“Morning girls. Marinette, are you sure you don’t need me to walk you? It’s right across the street.” Tom looked worried, still on edge that his daughter’s class had been attacked.
“Honey, she can handle herself.”
“It’s okay, dad. I’ll be okay.” They ate their breakfast, Marinette more eager than ever, and talked about insignificant things. When she was done, she practically left skid marks with how fast she left.
She couldn’t wait to see Adrien again.
Marinette wasn’t sure what it was, but stepping into school felt different. She felt like someone was watching her, analyzing her, eating away at her emotional mask. She didn’t think it was a smart idea, whoever was attempting to scare her. She wasn’t frightened.
Alya, joyful as always, met her after a few minutes of waiting around, trying to find out who was staring. Marinette grinned at her, genuinely happy for once since Adrien would be there soon. Her friend noticed the genuineness in the smile, and questioned her. To say she was shocked was a lie. Alya seemed to be an expert in people.
Marinette didn’t mind the playful teasing, choosing to embrace it as part of her new life, and pushed all thoughts of people ogling her aside. Adrien had arrived.
His bodyguard had joined him up the stairs to the entrance, and Marinette quickly memorized his face before allowing herself to swoon over her beloved.
Adrien looked happy, perhaps a little worried after the previous few days events, but happy nonetheless. Marinette felt her shoulders relax, and her heart beat against her ribcage. These new feelings were abstract, so new to her that overwhelming her was easy. Her fingers twitched, a longing in her stomach she couldn’t put a name to.
Alya, ever observant, picked up on her newfound interest within moments. She put a name to the feelings; a crush. It was an incorrect term for her feelings, Marinette felt so much more than just a silly crush, but she couldn’t exactly tell Alya, even if the girl seemed to idolize the two so called heros from the previous attack.
“Adrikins!”
Ah, there she was.
Marinette had waited for this girl to appear, and, like clockwork, there she was.
The Bourgeois girl was a nuisance. Proud, arrogant, judgemental, and spoiled, all were terrible aspects for a person to have. But, the one that was going to get her killed was her inexplicable love of Adrien.
Marinette’s Adrien.
And that, well, that just wouldn’t do.
She couldn’t love him like Marinette could, did.
Alya’s voice yanked Marinette from her inner thoughts, causing her to take notice of her tense stance, her hands tightly wound in her skirt, teeth pressed harshly together. Ignoring the blonde girl, Marinette focused on the object of her affections, and willed herself to relax in the emotions he made her feel.
The bell sent them scrambling to class, Adrien’s mountain of a bodyguard retreating to the car. Marinette would have to do research into his family.
“Dupain-Cheng.” The brat had returned, hand placed on her hip to establish that she felt entitled. Marinette found herself not caring even more than usual. After all, Adrien was looking at her.
Chloé could talk down to her all she liked, but Marinette’s attention was not on her. Instead, her cheeks were flushed and knees had turned to jelly under the gaze of the blonde boy. Alya stepped in, a gesture Marinette valued as it gave her time to sit down behind Adrien and avoid falling under the emotions she felt.
“That’s so rude-!”
“Can it, Bourgeois.” Alya took her seat, hand grabbing Marinette’s to offer a consoling squeeze. “She’s just a bully, don’t let her get in your head.”
Marinette wasn’t paying attention. Her heart was pounding in her ears, and the feeling of being watched seeped into her bones. It was as if someone was looking straight through her, revealing her secrets, and Marinette did not find that amusing.
If someone was trying to threaten her, Marinette would have to show them just who they were messing with. Adrien must be protected. She couldn’t lose him, lose the way he made her feel. She loved him, needed him.
She squeezed Alya’s hand back, smiling weakly, and trying to listen as their teacher stepped forward. Marinette could still see bullet holes in the wall behind her.
Marinette felt a haze fall over her when Adrien left for lunch. She knew she should too, that she would need her strength, but work had to be done.
First, the costume. Marinette sneaked back into the theater room, replacing the costume. She checked around for any sign of the mask her partner had used, finding nothing, and left just as quickly. Next came breaking into Adrien’s locker, which she did efficiently and quietly.
She took pictures, not wanting to alert him that someone had been there. A picture of a woman hung under a magnet on the door. She looked familiar, quite similar to Marinette’s love. Probably his mother. She’d look into it.
Spare clothes, books, and a little pin hidden inside. A ladybug shaped jewel rested at the end. He liked ladybugs. Marinette smiled soft and sweet, feeling the electricity from his skin touching hers as she picked up the pin.
He had touched this. Adrien. Her Adrien.
She placed it back, closing the locker and pressing her cool fingers against the lock. He touched this.
Marinette backed away, hand flying to her knife concealed within a secret pocket of her skirt. Someone was here. She could feel their eyes on her, and waited, silent.
A step, one behind her and to the left. Marinette turned, knife hidden in her palm. “Come out.”
They stepped into view, two eyes staring emotionlessly back into hers. Marinette recognized the look, and flicked out the knife. The other person did the same with their own pocket knife, and stared with that blank look. Marinette found herself thinking of her mother’s eyes, of her own.

[Part 3]
By midnight, Adrien has come to the conclusion that he is horrible at making plans. He can execute plans, he can applaud the people that make the plans and he can certainly give credit where credit is due but he's no Ladybug; Marinette wears the creative brain pants in this relationship, not that she knows that it's him behind the mask.
Yet.
Adrien sighs and looks longingly into the night sky like a yandere protagonist. Father cancelled his data plan and blocked his mobile from the WIFI, which means he can't FaceTime Marinette or anyone else for that matter. He's on his own tonight and it shows. The schemes he has come up with aren't the cleverest by any means; Adrien knows he's not the sharpest light on the tree.
But, appropriately frightened by the fact that Father is trying to ruin his OTP forever, Adrien decides to be extra covert by scribbling all of his "plans" on the back of the Tokyo Mew Mew poster he'd bought at his school's book fundraiser last month because he thought it would be funny. Ichigo Momomiya? Chat Noir? Irony.
Adrien actually chef kisses at the brilliance of his humour. Across the room, Plagg begs for mercy.
Option 1: Fake his own death. Admittedly, this is not the best option but hey, Stefano DiMera staged his own murder at least eight times and it always worked out for him, right? He could even wear a disguise and attend his own funeral! The drama!
Option 2: Run away and join the circus. This is problematic, of course, because he's extremely recognizable with or without a mask on his perfectly symmetrical features. Now, if he got a really cool scar on his cheek or something, he might get away with it and gain some street cred. Hell, he could tattoo his face like Post Malone and join a gang!
At this point, Plagg snatches his wielder's pen right out of his hand and strikes through the first two points.
Fair enough. They were terrible anyway.
Option 3: Give in. Let Marinette break up with him and keep dating her in secret. This would be nearly impossible, but they could try and pull it off. Adrien wraps his arms around his middle and physically aches at the thought of all the heartbreak he would put Marinette through. She doesn't deserve any of this, and option three would only punish her even more that this situation already has.
Option 4: Project Emancipation. He has absolutely no idea how to do this but he's the age of consent in France and thereby completely free to move out of his house if he so chooses. But where would he go? And how would he pay for anything? His inheritance is locked away in a trust fund and there isn't a single place in Paris that would hide him without the press eventually hearing about it.
Adrien's already rocky mood suddenly takes a nose dive into despondent territory. He's screwed no matter what he chooses!
As if by fate, something serendipitous occurs. His phone lights up and Adrien peers down at it only to be flabbergasted by the name he sees appear on the screen.
1 New SMS Message: Sabine Cheng
He taps in his password and finds the first text message he's received in months (who uses SMS these days anyway?), his shocked expression illuminated by the blue light of his screen.
Marinette told us what happened today. I have some reading material for you to look at tomorrow. You might be interested in what it has to say. I'll send it along with Marinette. Sleep well.
He doesn't make it to school until third period thanks to the rigorous mini course he had to take with Nathalie on how to be polite (writing "I will respect my father's dominion over me" two hundred times was excruciating, but at least he was still able to go to school afterwards). During attendance, Marinette hands him a pink Dupain Cheng Boulangerie Patisserie envelope in an operation so covert he swears she knows something he doesn't.
Across the chemistry lab, Marinette's lips form five distinct syllables. Adrien can't help but nod; he's sorry too and it makes sense that she could be spying on them considering she's Gabriel's new hit model, sausage braids and all. He avoids both Marinette and Lila like the plague for the rest of the afternoon and reads Sabine's message in a toilet stall because even Lila wouldn't dare follow him into the boy's washroom after the sore stomach act he just pulled off.
About six pages of legal jargon emerges from the powder pink folds, two of which cover his right to go to public school. He had no idea that Father wouldn't have a foot to stand on if he pulled him out of school as a punishment; by law, the state could interfere and order Adrien back into the system.
Page three is about opening your own bank account. Literal light bulbs begin to spring to life above his head as he begins to connect the dots.
Page 4 and 5 discuss child endangerment, neglect and abuse laws in France. Adrien's jaw practically unhinges. He loses feeling in his toes.
The final leaf of brightly coloured stationery is the kicker. Page 6 is all about the remuneration he should have been receiving as a child model. He should have signed copies of his contracts. He should have a whole boatload of legal documents regarding his lucrative employment, except he's never signed a contract or a tax form in his life.
Scrawled on a sticky note, Adrien reads Sabine's only comment on the matter.
Life has a funny way of working out when you least expect it, even within the darkest of storm clouds.
Adrien takes a shaky breath and slouches against the barrier between stalls.
This changes everything.
Chat Blanc AU
You know that part where Nathalie just marches into the Dupain Cheng Boulangerie Patisserie with that smug little smirk on her face and literally supports our favourite father of the year as he threatens (I repeat, threatens) our fourteen year old protagonist?
I know you do. You probably reeled in aghast when Marinette looked on desperately as Gabriel told her to break up with his son. You probably roared in indignation when Tom told Nathalie to leave now and never come back. And if you're anything like me, you probably wondered why her parents didn't step in like mine probably would have, because if someone threatened me in front of my fam, there would have been fireworks whether I liked it or not.
It's been 2 weeks since Chat Blanc and that's still the part that's pissing me off the most.
And you all know what that means *cracks knuckles*

Note
I just read all your works for Marinette's Yandere Harem and I have a few questions. When they're all aged up who would be the first to suggest having kids? Who would Marinette's first kid be with? Would they only want to have kids with Marinette? Because it'd be interesting if Luka and Kagami wanted to have a kid together bc of their bond of being the founders of the Harem. Also, considering Felix mom is a twin, would that mean if Marinette got pregnant by him would she have a chance of having twins? I'd feel like that'd make him cocky towards the others
Felix, probably. He would try to sneakily get a head start before the others (poking holes in the condom, which is despicable, but justified in his mind [and his mind alone]). However, I do believe that Marinette would do everything in her power to make sure that SHE decides when she has kids, and either outwits him until he stops, or persuades the group to give her time until she decides.
Although, the first kid would probably be with luka or marc, the more gentle members. Again, Marinette works the situation to where she has as much control as possible.
Chloe gets pregnant at the same time as her first, either with one of the guys or sperm bank, it doesn't really matter so long as Marinette's baby has a sibling to protect them right away.
The girls all get knocked up at one point or another. The Kagami/Luka baby happens, and Chloe has another baby with either Felix or Nath, and Juleka has one via sperm bank (she's only into girls). I really like the idea of the Kagami/Luka baby happening even before Marinette gets pregnant, acting as a older sibling to the first baby.
However it is rare for the members of the harem to go for each other when Marinette is available. It happened more often in the beginning, when Marinette was still trying to escape. Group sessions are common, but usually focused on Marinette, not each other. Common pairings are Kagami/Luka, Nath/Marc, Felix/Chloe, and Nino/Alix.
Felix not only gets her preggo with twin girls, but according to tikki, one of the girls has the potential to be a Ladybug one day. He holds it over the heads of the others.

MariHarem Yandere AU--The Alliance
Luka and Kagami Felix The Alliance: Here Competition:
Luka and Kagami met up roughly once a week to discuss everything--Luka with protecting Mari (he’s getting really annoyed that he keeps losing her every Akuma battle) and Kagami with vengeance (it’s getting there, but they want to destroy, not mildly aggravate).
However, they have to be extremely careful when they meet. They have to make sure that Mari doesn’t run off anywhere while they’re talking, so they met in a bookstore/cafe across the street from the bakery. It’s generally noisy enough so they’re not overheard and there’s seats by the window so they can watch the bakery.
Felix finds Luka and Kagami at this bookstore and immediately puts them on edge by sitting down with them and fanning out a pile of photographs picturing Luka stalking Mari. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he also managed to get transcripts of Kagami hiring hackers to mess with the class. Kagami is ready to attack and Luka is planning how he’s going to poison him (because no one’s going to stop them from protecting Mari) when Felix says “It’s a good thing we share the same goals, otherwise this information would already be with the police.”
This takes them aback a bit.
Felix, meanwhile, has been a little annoyed about having to share Marinette--she’s his, damn it!--but has grown used to the idea. After all, Felix isn’t the most... physically-imposing person. He’s an intellectual. He’s a planner, a strategist. He’s weak as shit.
Having two stronger romantic partners lackeys around to help keep Mari to themselves and having to share is better than not having them and needing physical protection.
So, he offers them help in keeping Marinette safe and happy in the long term. He’s their voice into the school, a spy to the class and a comforter to Marinette. He’ll tell them who’s doing what and help plan the coming retribution for the class’s abandonment.
Kagami is more receptive to his pitch than Luka. She’s known him for just as long as Adrien, knows that’s he’s clever and possessive and probably their best chance at getting Marinette to like them all back (she and Luka are rather chill with the idea of being in a poly relationship with Mari, and Felix isn’t the worst person to include in the relationship...)
Luka’s a bit more skeptical, bc blackmail, but admits that Mari has been really happy having Felix in her class and doesn’t want to ruin it.
The only thing they’re unsure of it Felix’s idea to leave Lila in the class
Both want her gone, dead or otherwise, but Felix offers up a good point: without Lila, Mari wouldn’t have ever been pushed into their arms.
Marinette’s been the least stressed she’s been in weeks now that Felix has convinced her that she can say “no” to her classmates and doesn’t have to do all the work as class president. Without Lila keeping people away from her, the class would go right back to demanding everything from her.
Kagami isn’t happy that she can’t run Lila through with her sword, but also wants Mari to stay with them as apposed to those traitors.
Luka is concerned, since the distance between Mari and her class is making her upset. Felix has to convince him that sure, Mari will be unhappy in the short term, but once she realizes that she doesn’t need her former friends and only needs them, she’ll be happy for years to come. Luka really likes the idea of them being together for years.
So, Felix is now on the “Protect Mari (Any Way Possible)” Plan. Their current goal is to get Mari to see them in a romantic light while isolating her further from her classmates. Unfortunately, that’s going to be a lot harder than they think...
