omg this is so sweet!!! especially cause i have NO idea what i’m doing😭😭😭

basically i’ve run a LOT of blogs on tumblr over the years (i used to have dad!au blogs for skz, ateez, nct, the boyz, treasure – ALL SEPERATE😭) and i’ve also run non-kpop blogs and other fanfic blogs and personal blogs and anyway it’s been a long time coming to have this blog that i feel so happy with, but i really do feel content with this one and i’ll tell you for why so maybe it can help you!!

1. my theme both first time round and this new one have elements of my personal style, regardless of whether it’s kpop themed or not!!!

a lot of the time, kpop blogs will be themed either around the group they stan and their theming, or even around like sanrio characters or other elements of korean/east asian culture and like thats super cute but for me personally i’m just not into any of that and it would feel a bit performative (?) to have that!!! but for me, i’m into vintage, 60s/70s, rock bands, so my first theme was ‘it’s all happening’ from almost famous and then i got the photo for my navi off my pinterest board and my profile pic from my camera roll and just based the colours around there!!! which is also the second thing

2. i usually (happened by accident with the first theme and on purpose with the second lol) choose the profile pic, header and picture for my navi (though you dont need this lol i just like the formatting) and THEN choose the colours

i find this easier for the overall theming, ties everything together quite nicely but also for this current theme it actually all stemmed from the emojis in my bio😭 i saw someone on tiktok with those emojis in their display name and i really loved it so i noted it down and then used it for inspo,, and the 👽 and 🪩 reminded me of 2010s indie sleaze so then i went down the dance yrself clean route but yeah.. i forgot where i was going with this

3. the text is unimportant

whenever i have some student display name or bio its because its the first thing that came to mind it really DOESNT MATTER i mean if you have a theme it’s cool to stick to the theme but like with my first one my bio was 마음데로 해 which like ? has no relevance to vintage or almost famous i just liked it😭😭

4. but there IS important information you need to display on your blog so remember to include it somewhere

i always hate when i have to like chase round a blog to find their request rules or masterlist or whatever😭😭 and i mean REALLY chase cause you have people like @blueberrybeomgyu who has the CUTEST theme and sticks to it to a T and it doesnt hinder your navigation around the blog yk!!! so yeah i think that’s super important but it’s up to you whether you keep it all in a pinned navigation, link it in the bio, whatever!!

note -> when i say important info i mean like name, pronouns, age, request rules, masterlist, wip, purpose of your blog etc but also you can pick and choose which of these to include!! but including your name helps people chat to you, and including your age helps people with mdni !

but anyway none of this really matters but i hope it helped in someway i have NO qualifications so if any other blogs want to chip in with some advice feel free!!!! and good luck with your blog!!

No need to be sorry!! I haven't really specified my boundaries other than pregnancy and that was in response to a request, if you're curious about my thoughts on that, the ask and my answer is here

Thank you for your ask and for enjoying my writing!!! I have never done headcanons but my brain is filled with thoughts on fictional characters, so I am more than happy to do some. I am also open to answering drabbles and such :))

In regards to boundaries, I haven't said much on it because I wasn't sure where to put it or even how to begin specifying it. I have a hard time saying no without a clear idea of what the request would be and while I don't feel I have many hard no's, I will try to list out a few off the top of my head under the cut. I've also included some clarifying information.

CW for noncon, dubcon, cnc, self harm, etc, below

Noncon (No consent) or rape is a hard no for me, I am unwilling to write it and I do not see that changing.

Sexual assault is a no but attempted sexual assault is up in the air, I would never write it about a character I like but I might do something along the lines of, some random flirting, touching, grabbing you against your consent and how certain characters would react in response.

Dubcon (Dubious consent) is a bit iffy for me, I do have a sex pollen ask in my requests and I'd tag that dubcon but I am okay with it and I will be writing it. Mostly in regards to dubcon, I'm on the fence, if it gets too close to noncon, I will not write it but it's a bit of a case by case basis.

Cnc (Consensual non consent) is a bit of a fine line for me too, depending on what it is, I might be interested in it, but I probably won't write it of my own accord.

Self harm fics, like; your partner finding out about your self harm is also a no for me, just because I have gone through something like that and tbh, not the vibes.

I'd write about being self-conscious and your partner helping you by something sexual occurring or being kind and reassuring but I won't write about anything too self deprecating. This is for a number of reasons but mostly because I wouldn't personally want to read about something like that.

In relation to that, I enjoy degradation just as much as the next girl but I won't write anything where a character would actively think poorly of you or say something cruel because it's too mean for me :(( I want to imagine that the character thinks you hung the stars and the moon but again, case by case basis.

I will not write underage reader, I will write age gap because I am in my 20s and hot for characters older than me but I will never write a fic where the reader is underage, very icky vibes to me.

These are off the top of my head, I think I will make a more streamlined post with both do's and don'ts regarding what I write and link it to my bio but I think for now I have covered most of my bases.

I will add, I will not ever kinkshame someone and if you do send me a request I won't write for I may reply to it clarifying a boundary but please don't ever take it as me judging you! I write because I love reading and there are just some things I wouldn't read myself or be able to do justice for.

I am new to writing and so these are things I hadn't really considered previously. I appreciate you asking me for clarification and I hope I have answered appropriately and thoroughly.

Lastly, never be hesitant to ask me questions, again, I will never be unnecessarily cruel or judgy!!! I am just some weirdo on the internet who loves writing for hot characters <333

[👾🎤]📖🎸🏹🤸🏼‍♂️[🌈] This is the last show of 2021!  We’re finishing up the year with a few toymaking updates and finishing the reading of the Howard the Duck novelization. If you celebrate Christmas, hope y’all had a good day. Check out this cookie my brother, Jeremy, decorated showing a soaring Logan.  There’s even an infinity sign lest yon man soaring over and through lofty peaks be mistaken for a mere snowboarder.  Speaking of Logan, about a year ago, I made my first real custom action figure – a fairly well articulated Logan from The Thirteenth Hour from an old GI Joe and the head of a character from Treasure Planet (I think). This year, I’m about 80 percent done a similar, but in some ways more complex project – casting and making a number of copies of Logan and Aurora in Kenner-style 5 points of articulation form.  The fine detail and touch up work is still yet to be done, but even so, it’s a simpler look with less moving parts.  The simplicity allowed me to think about being able to cast all the parts and attempt to piece them together. These will eventually be on Etsy, possibly in time for the next LP release, but for now, the glow in the dark and painted resin minis of Logan and Aurora are holding down the fort (follow the toys link in the bio). And, after 19 episodes, reading roughly a chapter a session, we have finished reading the Howard the Duck movie novelization.  It was quite an enjoyable experience, as I’ve mentioned before.  In some ways, similar to the comic – part satire, part social commentary – as well as a healthy dose of existential angst exhibited by Howard almost making it part philosophical treatise – clearly, this Duck is more than meets the eye. . . .
