Summary: the deciver has decided he must get rid of you until a stranger reignites his curiosity in an unexpected way.

Keep any and all feedback coming. I'm super invested in this series and have so many plans that I'm so excited to write.
Tags/warning: male masturbation, nothing super explicit but sauron has some pretty unhealthy kinks, slow burn, saurons post nut clarity is murder plotting, sauron being sauron. galadriel finally shows up, cliffhanger
Series Masterlist
“She does nothing but sit there, day in and day out. Our rations are wasted on her!”
“All of us sit and do nothing because there is fucking nothing to do.”
Halbrand and the older man were fighting again. Halbrand had become annoyed that the other had declared himself the de facto leader of the raft, and his anger exploded when it was proclaimed you had not 'earned' your rations. He had obviously found it absolutely insane and when you made no sound or protest, he took it upon himself to make it known how insane it was.
“I am the leader here. I have organized the rations, I have kept order, and I have directed where we go.” The other man seemed offended. He had proven himself to be rather arrogant, and you held no surprise that he would suggest such a thing or believe that he was the leader of the raft.
“Oh great Lord of the Raft. How difficult your job must be. Deciding if we die a little to the west or a little to the east.” Halbrand rolled his eyes as he spoke.
“Be sarcastic all you want. She's lucky we don't throw her in.”
The air stilled and a dark shadow passed over Halbrands face, his jaw clenched and in a moment he had grabbed the other by their shirt, “The moment you do that is the moment I feed you and every single person on this raft to the wyrm.” Their faces merely inches apart,  Halbrands voice was cold, full of hatred, and it sent a chill over everyone on the raft. The older man stared up at him with fear, a fear so palpable and intense that it was as if he was looking into the eyes of the great foe himself.
“Halbrand,” you spoke softly, fingers gently wrapping around his wrist and moving him away. “This is not what I wish.”
He turned to look at you and his gaze softened, tongue peaking out to wet his lips. The air flowed again, and the darkness lifted, “You wish to starve? Because that's his wish, that's his plan. He wants to make our supply of food last longer by taking the very little portion you have. He knows you would never say anything to him, and you can not ask me to sit back and watch you starve, sweet one.” His eyes searched your face as he spoke with such earnest conviction.
“I do not wish for you to murder in my name,” you replied in a passionate whisper.
Halbrand nodded, sighing softly, “Then I will not,” he leaned closer to you, so his lips were next to your ear, and you could feel his hot breath on your skin. Your breath caught in your voice as he whispered softly, “Know that I would, though. If you only asked, I would burn this raft and everyone on it to keep you safe.”
He pulled away and pressed a soft kiss to the crown of your head as you stood speechless. The butterflies in your stomach exploded. This was new. Your interactions had been purely platonic until this point. He never presented himself as someone more than a friend, and you had been content with that. Yet you enjoyed the feeling of his lips on your forehead and greatly missed them when they were gone.
The talk of murdering everyone else was one you didn't wish to dwell on. Perhaps it was hyperbolic. Perhaps said in anger. Either way, those were thoughts for another time. Now, you would embrace the shivers and butterflies.
“Well, your highness, she will be eating today and I will ensure it,” Halbrand gave the man a pointed look and the other simply nodded, his eyes still swimming as if he'd seen some great horror but you were too fixated on the ghost of Halbrands kiss that lingered on your forehead to pay it much mind.
~
He'd taken the deception too far when he placed that kiss upon your head. He regretted it the moment he did it. The taste of your skin stained his lips, and it was all he could think of. Your skin felt unbelievably soft and he could just imagine what your lips would taste like, your tongue, your cunt.
Your cunt. The thought of it had been all consuming. Warm and wet. Soft and velvety. He ached to feel it, to taste it, to take it. The thoughts had led to his current position, standing at the edge of the raft with his cock in his fist. This act felt below him but the thoughts wouldn't leave his mind and he needed some relief from them. From the thoughts of you.
Thoughts of your cunt.
Warm and wet. Soft and velvet.
His eyes fluttered, and his breath caught in his throat. He hated every second of this. He had no control. Ever since you looked up at him with those eyes of yours, eyes he wanted to make weep as you choked on his cock. He breathed a soft curse as he imagined your sweet, innocent eyes looking up at him with your lips wrapped around his cock. His thumb collected the precum from his tip and worked it around his shaft, the soft wet sounds filling the night.
Would you be inexperienced?  Had someone claimed you before? You were his and his alone, his precious sweet one. The thought of someone else having you first filled him with such rage. He would drench his hands in their blood and paint your body with it as he fucked you. His hands around your neck, squeezing enough to feel your life thrumming underneath his fingers.
You were his and his alone. No one else could touch you, no other lips taste you, no other cock take you. He'd burn all of Middle Earth to ensure it, torture any man who dared look at you. He'd carve his name into your flesh, lick the blood off your skin. A growl escaped his lips, the thought of his name scared into your soft skin. His hand tightened around his cock and his movements increased in speed.
His breathing got more ragged as he got closer to his peak,  your name tumbling past his lips in a choked whisper. He could almost imagine you whining and whimpering his name, his real name.  That was what sent him over, the visual of you impaled on his cock and desperately calling his name. He groaned loudly, his seed shooting into the water.
Breathing heavily, his eyes closed. Almost immediately, the cacophony of thoughts entered his mind. That had been a brief reprieve, but now his existential crisis continued. What was his purpose? Who was he now that his master was dead? Power and control, how could he have both without sacrificing the other?
And then your smiling face flashed through his mind, the sound of your laugh...-
This couldn't continue. No amount of curiosity was worth this loss of control. He was a god, but his mind as of late had been reminiscent of a teenage boy. Thoughts may plague him, but he would forget you within the age. He needed you gone, dead. The longer you stayed alive, the longer these damn lustful thoughts would plague him and be his undoing. He was slowly losing his sanity because of you.
The problem was he couldn't do it. He tried mere minutes before giving into these urges, but as he looked at your sleeping face, he couldn't bring himself to push you in and under the waves. In thousands of years, no one had been able to still his blade or stay his hand with such ease. He couldn't look at you and take your life. He could not be the one to do it, that thought alone proving to be more a reason for your death. Weakness was not something he would tolerate.
His mind called out to wyrm, calling it to their location. If he couldn't do it, he'd give the task to something else. By nightfall tomorrow, you'd be gone. You'd be at the bottom of the sea or in the belly of the beast. By nightfall, he'd have his mind back.
Why did the thought of your death fill him with such dread?
~
He wouldn't even look at you. You'd greeted him in the morning, and he ignored you. You sat next to him, and he moved to the other side of the raft. You watched as his eyes bore into planks of the raft. You wet your lips and pulled it between your teeth. He was your first friend in a very long time, and now you had lost him for reasons that escaped you.  You were utterly alone, lost at sea, and you struggled to find hope here. All you could do is close your eyes and remind yourself that falling into despair would do nothing more than make the situation worse and more hopeless.
You watched the clouds pass in the sky, counting them, and your fingers tapped away at the wood. Every few moments, you had to blink away the tears that had started welling in your eyes as you thought of losing another person you cared for. Suddenly, you sat up as you heard what you thought was a voice in the air. You squinted as your eyes examined the fog.
“There's a voice on the water.” You spoke quietly.
Almost instantly, bickering broke amongst the others. To save her or not. You shook your head, “We're not leaving her to starve and die!”
One of the others pulled her up and gave her water as you grabbed her a chunk of bread and looked for a piece of cloth or something that could bring the stranger some warmth. The bickering continued as you searched and returned with a piece of bread.
“Suppose you'll be sharing your rations?” the old man asked.
You couldn't help the roll of your eyes, “Damn the rations,” you kneeled and handed the stranger the bread. “It's not much, but it's something. Are you hurt?”
Before she could answer, one of the others asked, “What are you doing out here?”
The stranger took the bread, “I was separated from my ship.”
You looked at her with empathy. Of course, you could understand. She looked over at you as if to answer your question next, but she stopped, her eyes examining your face as if she knew you but was unable to place how. It made you uncomfortable, made your heart still. Has your past caught up with you all the way out here?
“She doesn't look dangerous,” the other woman spoke.
“Looks can be deceiving,” Halbrand spoke, and you were about to protest when you saw the point to her ears. Your blood ran cold, and you moved back from her.
“Remove your hand from me, sir,” the stranger spoke, her attention returning to you. “I know your face.”
You quickly stood up and stepped back. This could not be happening. Not here. Not now. Perhaps the elf could save you, or perhaps she would convince the others to throw you into the sea. The sins of your father would never stop chasing you, it seemed.
~
“I know your face."
His head snapped your direction at this revelation. What did that mean? How would an elf know you? He watched your reaction, the fear and shame passing over your face confirming that there was a story there. He cursed silently.
All day, he avoided looking at you. All day, he had convinced himself that you were nothing more than a naive human, that the warmth he felt had to be in relation to this new form getting used to the world around him. There was nothing special about you. Nothing at all. He repeated it over and over, though he never really believed it. He could sense the darkness and calamity swimming through the ocean towards them, the beast he had called, and he had convinced himself that your death would solve his internal struggle.
But now, this damn elf had reignited the curiosity with vigor. It felt as if an inferno burnt through him. He had to know more. He knew when the wyrm came, he would be unable to leave you to death. You were the most curious thing, and it was infuriating.
Who were you?

seen the episode 3 times and taken a full business day to gather my thoughts
hwfg
i wanna preface this by saying i'm not mad just kinda disappointed, mostly because eps 5-7 were absolute bangers and this... was not
The Good
- man some beautiful visuals of king durin vs the balrog
- i'm kinda fine with theo now? i think he's less annoying now that his mum's dead
- look i have generally not been a fan of repurposed scenes from the films but the Narsil scene had me, ngl
- sauron do not with that wet cat poor little meow meow when you just skewered celebrimbor
- 10/10 fight between galadriel and sauron and also really funny of him to change back into his halbrand form which is clearly the one galadriel finds sexiest
- i'll take 10 more eps of feral elrond pls
- gil-galad knowing peace because galadriel was passed the fuck out, truly dad energy there
- rivendell at the end, it's beautiful, it's a safe haven, it will be a refuge for all, i could have sobbed
The Bad
- look i just genuinely do not care about isildur and estrid as a plot point?
- i'm kinda confused because they were all "miriel survived the trial, all hail the sea queen" to "she's not the real queen"? like i guess that pharazon is still king, but as a casual viewer i think i'd be confused
- it feels like there must have been a lot on the cutting room floor because some scenes were just a little well that doesn't track from the last episode. for example, arondir going from being stabbed to just being fine?
- very big not fan of the "the staff chooses you" line because it feels too much like "the wand chooses the wizard" and we all know jkr is a massive cunt
The Ugly
- there were too many plotlines. the best episodes of this show are the ones where the plotlines are limited and the stories pretty contained. unfortunately being the finale, this meant that all the plotlines were mentioned and it didn't really work? especially because some of the cuts were pretty fuckin jarring, like going from the eregion plotline to the harfoot plotline was heavy mood whiplash
- nobody was given the space to breathe and not in a good way. all the arcs seemed oddly rushed? like straight from the start, the balrog is weirdly rushed where i would have liked to have seen that fight more drawn out. there are too many things to keep a hold of in this episode and as a result, what we do keep ahold of is very short. i really think that the season could have used 1-2 more episodes and it would have flowed much better
- who the fuck is adar? why add so many teases, why add all his references to elven history, why add him saying that he used to go by another name, why add all of this to give us literally nothing? like i don't even care if he's like someone relevant or not, but why make so many references just to gives us nothing?
- what happened to celebrimbor's fate being in elrond's hands? there is never actually a moment when it is (i mean i guess kinda by extenuating circumstance, but not really), so what was the point of multiple references to this premonition? also with celebrimbor i feel like weirdly robbed that no one reacted to his death? like i fully had a post prepped going "if i have to watch elrond watch celebrimbor be celebrimbannered with my own two eyes" just to have his death literally never be referenced at all by anyone???
Other thoughts
- celebrimbanner more like celebrimpincushion
- kemen u bitch
- isildur should get to punch kemen, as a treat
- the way that i fully thought they were gonna reveal adar to be celeborn in that moment, like they fully had me going

Today in Middle-earth! 9/29/(30)21, (almost) the end.
Bilbo Baggins, who started it all, is sad to leave the land of his birth, but he’s getting old and he’s had a full life and is quite ready for another adventure. And this time, he and Frodo get to go together. (He’ll learn, properly, what has happened to Frodo on his own adventure once they get into the strengthening airs of Valinor, and he’ll get a chance to be the supportive parent he wanted to be.)
Elrond E- Elrond M- Elrond Half-elven, child of the Elves of Middle-earth and the descendants of Valinor, and survivor of the stories of the Elder Days, is  enduring perhaps his most grievous parting - two children and another homeland lost to him, forever - but it is also his final parting, and on the other side of the sea waits the first reunion of his life. (He’ll have hordes of ancestors and aunts and uncles and cousins waiting for him on the other side of the sea, who have nursed his wife back to health (chief among those of course being his grandmother and her aunt Melian), and when he is ready they’ll open their homes to him and urge him to call them Grandfather and Grandmother by some lineage or other. Two unexpected guests will meet him on the shore along with Celebrian, and ask his forgiveness for being the first to leave him.)
Frodo Baggins, saddled with a Princedom of the West he doesn’t really want, has said good-bye in his own way to the friends and family he still counts as dear - and Freddy and Folco know more or less what he has been through, beside - but Merry and Pippin show up with Gandalf, the delightful old meddler, to wish him good-bye in person! Frodo holds Merry, Pippin, and Sam in his arms one last time, then, steps away from his family on the shore, the land he was born in and could not enjoy anymore but bequeaths to everyone he loves, to the children of the future (it’s Children’s Day, in our world), and towards his family on the ship, onto a new home where he can find healing and joy in fullness. (Once they get to Valinor, Finrod will have scarcely disentangled himself from his sister’s arms before he assaults the hobbits with a barrage of greetings and eager questions and words of comfort; he’ll have friends aplenty.)
Artanis Nerwen Galadriel Arafinwiel, youngest of the great Elf-houses, older than the Moon and Sun, and last greatest survivor of the journey forth from Valinor, who has each of her names in a different tongue, has had her adventure, loved and lost, experienced tragedy after tragedy, humbled herself and sacrificed everything (and in thus doing became the character to experience the most growth in all of Tolkien’s stories), defeated her foe, and returns home in triumph alone of Fingolfin’s host. (The king and queen of the Vanyar, Teleri, and especially the Noldorin king, queen, and queen mother have prepared a hero’s welcome for her - for all of them, really, but mostly for her, and although it will only be them, Finrod, Celebrian, Melian, Eonwe, Earendil and Elwing at the docks, all Alqualonde prepares to celebrate.)
(Idly, Galadriel realizes that she finally gets to cross an ocean by boat as she was promised an entire era ago. This is also the moment when she realizes that  once she is back in Valinor she will probably let her tongue slip between her teeth as her father’s and mother’s people do, every now and again. It’s been Ages, and there isn’t a reason not to anymore.)
Olórin who is and forever shall be Gandalf, wisest of all Maiar, has never been so grateful to be given an assignment he did not want. He returns home alone, but he returns home anything but empty-handed. He grieves his new home but looks forward to his old one, and he even gets to bring some of his friends. He is going to his home, to his kin, to be whole. (Aule will meet him and reassure him that it is not his fault. Manwe and Varda will meet him and realize that he has some bits of wisdom that they do not. Nienna will meet him and when he tells her that he wore his grey robes across Middle-earth as Eonwe carried Manwe’s standard in the great battles of old, she will tell him that she has never been prouder of anyone and hold him as he finally lets himself weep.)
He has packed a year’s supply of pipe-weed.)
And the friends and family left behind, all across Middle-earth turn away from the West, towards their home that they have freed from great evil. There now remains no great power threatening Middle-earth, and they think, the world is ours to heal, to shape, to explore, to enjoy! So let’s stop scrolling mindlessly through Tumblr and get to it!
I, for one, am full of nostalgia at this thing I barely did at points - I could have been posting every day in winter 2019, and I missed all of 2020, etc. - being almost over, but I did do stuff with it and I did have fun, and I am happy, and now I am going to get back to my (very interesting, really, the only downside is it’s due tomorrow) homework that will allow me to get a job I want making the world a better place. Thanks for taking this ride with me, everyone. I love you all!

Aragorn and Taniara [an elf] (That's what my sister calls herself. Lol.)
Hmmm... maybe Taniara is Elrond's youngest daughter and she sneaks away from Imladris to go with the Fellowship. She could meet up with them in The Golden Woods? Um... and Legolas explains to her that the pain she had felt was her fear of Elessar not returning to her...? And maybe a time skip to when Elessar gets crowned King of Gondor?
Is this what you mean by "ask"?
A.N: So this was an insert request and uses someone’s name but I’ll be posting a completely x reader version for everyone else. I hope this is what you wanted, and I’m wishing your sister a very happy birthday! I hope she likes it!
Requested by @ask-the-elf-stuff on Tumblr
Pairing: Aragorn x Character Insert (Taniara) {Not an OC! I’m also posting a full x reader version for everyone else!}
Word Count: 1,790
Warnings: Kissing, fluff, the smallest bit of angst.
****
Hope {Aragorn x Taniara}
“You’re really leaving?” You gazed into Aragorn’s eyes, hoping that it wasn’t true.
“I have to, Taniara. The fate of Middle-Earth depends on it.”
Your head dipped in understanding, but also sadness.
“Do not fear. I will return.” He cupped your chin with his hand, tilting your head and kissing you. It was a light kiss, nothing like the others you had shared before. This kiss was the hope that you’d see each other again.
Breaking away, you forced a smile as you hugged him, trying not to cry. Stepping back, you waved as he followed the rest of the newly formed Fellowship through the gates of Imladris. Your father stood next to you, and as Aragorn passed through the gates Elrond drew you into his side.
“He’ll be back, hína (child),” Elrond said as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
Nodding, you rested your head on your father’s shoulder as you watched the man depart.
Weeks later, you were pacing your room, determined to do something. Arwen stopped short in the doorway as she saw you pack open on your bed as you shoved things inside.
“Taniara? What are you doing?”
“I do not know why, but I have felt a pull to follow. An ache, almost painful in its strength, has settled inside me and so I knew I must follow. We have not heard from the Fellowship in weeks, Aragorn could be hurt, or someone else could be, or he could be,” your voice broke, “dead.
The elf nodded in understanding. “The ache is telling you to be with the one you love.”
She then clasped your hand. “Taniara. Look at me.”
You looked at her, unshed tears of worry clear in your eyes.
“If he was dead, you’d feel it. And I know as your sister I should be telling you not to go, but I cannot help but notice the pain you’ve been in these last weeks. So go, find him.” She spread a map out onto a small table nearby, and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Do you just carry that everywhere?”
She shot you a look, and you quickly clammed up, peering over her shoulder as she pointed things out.
“After crossing the mountains visit our grandmother in Lothlorien, the Fellowship had planned to pass through there, and she will know where they are.”
You took it all in, remembering the route to Lothlorien from visits to your grandparents you had made before your mother went west.
“Thank you, Arwen.” You smiled up at your sister.
She clasped your wrist before pulling away, placing her hands on your shoulders as she looked into your eyes. “Stay safe, Taniara.”
You nodded, shoving the last things into your pack before slinging it over your shoulders with your bow and quiver, daggers sheathed on your thighs, hugging your sister one last time before leaving your room.
You strode down the hallway, dressed in leather hunting clothes as you made your way to the gates of Imladris. You had stopped by the kitchens to gather food supplies, making sure they thought you were only going for a hunting excursion.
Entering the courtyard, you saw your father standing in the center, clearly waiting for you. Silently cursing Arwen, as you had hoped to slip away unnoticed, you made your way over to him.
“I should not let you do this.”
You frowned at his words, drawing breath to protest, but before you could Elrond spoke again.
“But you are free to go. I feel the ache and have felt it every day since your mother departed. I know that nothing but being with the one you love can ease that pain, and it would hurt me to know you are experiencing it. Go to Estel. I give you my blessing.”
You hugged your father before turning and mounting your horse, brought from the stables. Turning to wave to your father one last time, you leaned down to whisper, “Let’s go, Daeroc. Let’s go find Aragorn.” The horse broke into a trot, and you left Imladris behind.
Weeks later, you led Daeroc into Lothlorien, waiting for the sentries to appear. One dropped down from a tree, and you smiled at him, recognizing the face.
“Haldir,” you greeted him with a smile.
“Taniara. It is good to see you again. I assume you are here to see the Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn?”
You nodded, “Yes. I have not seen my grandparents in a long time. But before we go to them could you find someone to take care of Daeroc?”
Another elf came into view, nodding to you as she took the reins from your hands.
“Thank you,” you smiled at her.
Later, you walked into the courtyard, bowing to your grandparents standing on the stairs above.
“Taniara, my daughter’s daughter. What brings you here?” Galadriel smiled at you, descending the stairs with her husband to greet you, each clasping your wrist.
“To see you, of course, and seek news of the Fellowship that I assume has passed through here.”
Your grandmother smiled. “It seems you are in luck, for they are here as we speak.”
Your eyes widened. “But they should have been long gone by now. I wonder what has caused the delay?”
Celeborn’s face softened. “Then you do not know.”
“Know what?” You were beginning to grow quite worried. “What has happened?”
“They could not make it through the pass of Caradhras, so they turned and went through Moria, costing them the life of Mithrandir.”
You gasped, heart aching at the grief that must have caused them and the grief you now felt.
“May I see them?” All you wanted now was to see your friends and the man you loved.
“Of course.” Galadriel beckoned you to follow her, and you did, softly conversing with your grandmother and updating her on the lives of her family in Imladris, as well as others she knew.
Stepping into the clearing, you turned to thank Galadriel, watching her fade from view behind you for a moment before continuing.
There he was. Tall and handsome still, even grimy with dirt and dust from his travels. You debated casually walking up and greeting him more sedately, but watching him you just couldn’t hold back. All your elvish instincts left you, and you sprinted towards him, leaping into his shocked arms as kissing him for all you were worth. He kissed you back for a moment, and then pulled away, the surprise on his face clear.
“Taniara! What are you doing here?”
“I came to find you.”
His eyes widened. “You did?”
You smiled at him. “Of course I did, meleth.”
He smiled back at you, and drew you in for another kiss, hands holding you up as your legs wrapped around his waist. Deepening the kiss, he moved so your back was pressed against a tree and his hands were free to slide up your back, tangling in your hair as you lost yourselves in each other.
Sometime later, you sat with the rest of the Fellowship after the nighttime meal, talking. It was good to see them again, you had grown fond of all of them, even the dwarf, during their time in Imladris. But of course, the only person you really had eyes for that night was Aragorn, who sat next to you with an arm around your shoulders.
Legolas had seemed puzzled with how comfortable you were with affection, it was rather un elf-like. You had explained to him that because of your father’s past, he was slightly more affectionate than a normal elf, and showed it. You hadn’t missed the wistful look on Legolas’ face as you spoke and recalled what you knew of his family, feeling sorry for him.
Later that night, you sat by the dying embers of the fire alongside Legolas. Aragorn had gone with the hobbits to wash up, and Boromir and Gimli were sleeping, so it was just you and the elf.
“Legolas?” The older elf looked at you.
“Can I ask you something?”
He nodded, and you continued, “I was just wondering, do you know of something like an ache? It began right after the Fellowship departed Imladris, and only subsided when I arrived here. What does it mean?”
He smiled. “Taniara. That was the bond between your soul and Aragorn’s, pulled taught with your fear of losing him. Now that you are reunited, it has gone because you are together. It is every elf’s greatest dream and worst fear to have that feeling.”
You smiled. “Have you?”
The pain in his eyes told you that maybe that was not something to be asked of others.
“I am not sure if it is in my destiny to ever feel that.” He gazed into the distance.
The two of you sat in easy silence for a long time, after that.
“Taniara.” You turned to see Aragorn beckoning to you, and with a nod to Legolas, you rose.
“You do not have to come with us. It will be a journey of great peril, and I do not want to put you in that much danger.”
You gazed at him earnestly, “Aragorn. I shall be there when the crown is finally placed on your head. I shall be with you until the end.”
He smiled at you again and clasped your hand as you walked through the towering trees.
You had left Lothlorien the day after with the Fellowship, having officially joined up. Lots had happened after that, including almost dying with most of Middle-Earth, but months later, all was finally well. Frodo and Sam had destroyed the ring in Mordor, the forces of Mordor had collapsed along with the Black Gate, and today was the coronation of King Elessar, also known as Aragorn.
You watched, standing next to Gimli on the dais, as Gandalf lowered the crown onto Aragorn’s head.
“Now come the days of the King!” Gandalf declared before Aragorn turned to face his kingdom. Everyone cheered as he stood there, silencing quickly as he spoke. His words were wise and sincere, and you couldn’t help but fall in love all over again. As petals began to fall, he started singing, the words quickly fading as he turned to you.
You walked down to meet him at the bottom of the steps, gown trailing behind you. Once you reached him, he grabbed your hand, wrapping an arm around your waist as he dipped you into a spectacular kiss. Unlike the one you had shared in Imladris, this was not a kiss of sadness. This was a kiss of hope, peace, and promise. As the cheers rose around you again you knew that everything you had hoped for had come true.

SILMARILLION by  ArlenianChronicles (full project)
1.  I've started a new project, as you can see! I was inspired by my Beren and Luthien project to illustrate the whole Silmarillion XD It's going to be a heck of a while before it's done, but I hope you guys enjoy following along on the journey! So here we have part 1 of my Silmarillion project. First is the Ainulindale, featuring Eru Iluvatar, the Ainur, the creation of Arda, and the standoff between Manwe and Melkor for the dominion of Arda.
2.  The second part of my Silmarillion project, Valaquenta. Here are the top three Valar, Manwe, Ulmo, and Aule; the top three Valier, Varda, Yavanna, and Nienna; their Maiar, Eonwe, Ilmare, and Olorin; and the Enemies, Melkor and Sauron.
3.  The third part of my Silmarillion project, chapters 1 to 4! I'll be posting one part each instead of two at a time from now on XD This part features the Two Trees, Laurelin and Telperion; Aule and Yavanna creating the Dwarves and Ents; five of the first Elves, Elwe (Thingol), Olwe, Finwe, Ingwe, and Nowe (Cirdan); and the lovers, Thingol and Melian. Phew, lots of Elves to draw! Also, some Tolkien fans might notice that Elmo and Lenwe are missing from the drawing of the Elves that awoke at Cuivienen. That's because I forgot, and then there wasn't enough space!
4.  The fourth part of my Silmarillion project, chapters 5 to 8, featuring King Finwe of the Noldor, High King Ingwe of the Vanyar (and all Elves in Valinor, and King Olwe of the Teleri; Feanor and Melkor, representing two events of the chapter; Feanor and the Silmarils, and the destruction of the Two Trees by Ungoliant and Melkor.
5.  The fifth part of my Silmarillion project, chapters 9 to 12, featuring a bloody Fëanor after having fought the Teleri Elves; Melian creating the Girdle (magical barrier) around the realm of Doriath; the Maiar Arien and Tilion holding the last fruit and flower Laurelin and Telperion (all respectively lol); and a family of the first Edain (mortal men).
6.  MASSIVE CREDITS TO CHRISTOPHER TOLKIEN FOR THE ILLUSTRATION OF THE MAP OF BELERIAND. My copy of the Silmarillion has a map, which I scanned and traced over in Paint Tool SAI so that it'd be high res. Tracing all those words was what took me so long! The sixth part of my Silmarillion project, chapters 13 to 16, featuring Feanor fighting balrogs (not shown lol), and Fingolfin crossing the Grinding Ice; the Map of Beleriand; Melian attempting to learn more from Galadriel about why the Noldor left Aman; and Maeglin and Aredhel escaping Nan Elmoth (his birth home). On the map, the words in red are the names of the lands, and the pale words are the Elven lords (and lady) ruling over hose lands. So for example, Thingol and Melian are presiding over Doriath, and Caranthir is presiding over Thargelion.
7.  The seventh part of my Silmarillion project, chapters 17 to 20, featuring Finrod's meeting with the Edain; Fingolfin and Morgoth during the Dagor Bragollach; Beren, Luthien, and Huan, with Beren's severed hand holding a Silmaril; and Fingon surrounded by balrog whips during the Fifth Battle. Originally, the Silmaril in Beren and Luthien's illustration was supposed to have a horizontal line to complete the geometric effect, but since it cut across their faces, I had to take it out. Also, I know that Finrod's meeting with the Edain technically took place in the middle of the night, but I have a lot of nighttime backgrounds in these illustrations already, so I wanted to do a dawn-like background!
8.  The eighth part of my Silmarillion project, chapters 21 to 24, featuring Turin, Nienor, and Beleg, with the sword Anglachel; Melian and the death of Thingol, along with the Feanorian banner (to represent the Second Kinslaying); Tuor, Idril, and Earendil, along with a dragon climbing the King's Tower in Gondolin; and Earendil and Elwing with the Silmaril, while their sons Elrond and Elros are taken by Maedhros and Maglor in the Third Kinslaying. The stories of Turin Turambar and the Fall of Gondolin are large stories, so I decided to go with portraits of the main characters, especially with Turin's chapter. I feel like I could've done something a bit more creative with the Fall of Gondolin, but I'm pleased with this one nevertheless XD Also, I'm really happy I managed to squeeze in my favourite Tolkien family -- Maedhros and Maglor with Elrond and Elros hahahahaa (If only showing their hands lol) This part concludes the Quenta Silmarillion, which I forgot to mention began at chapter 1. There are now two parts left in the Silmarillion to illustrate!
9.  The ninth part of my Silmarillion project, Akallabeth, featuring the Door of Night through which Morgoth is banished; Elrond Halfelven, his twin Elros Tar-Minyatur -- who is crowned the first king of Numenor -- and Nimloth, the White Tree of Numenor; Sauron in the guise of Tar-Mairon, councillor to the last king of Numenor, Ar-Pharazon; and Manwe with Iluvatar, the latter of which sends great waves to destroy Numenor. So I was looking back at part 8 of my project, and I have to say that the illustrations for Turin Turambar and the Fall of Gondolin are the ones that I am least satisfied with. I mean, I wish I had added a few more beakers around the King's Chemistry Beaker of Gondolin (cuz it looks like one, the way I drew it lol), to make it look more like a city XD So I hope this part makes up for that, at least with regards to visual interest Just one more part left to go!!
10.  The tenth and final part of my Silmarillion project, Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age, featuring Celebrimbor and Annatar (another of Sauron's forms) crafting the rings of power; two of the Istari, Saruman and Gandalf (there are three others, not just these two lol), and the Eye of Sauron; Samwise Gamgee carrying Frodo Baggins up Mt. Doom to destroy the One Ring; and the last (but not really the last XD) white ship sailing into the West. So we've finally come to the end! I want to thank all of you for sticking with me and supporting me through this big project! It took two months -- from June 10 to August 12 -- to finish! I'm very proud of my work, and also relieved that I was able to finish it, in a way XD I'm so happy that I was able to share this project with you all! I learned quite a bit about composition and lightning and shading in this project. For any who were wondering, I think my favourite illustrations out of them all are parts 4 and 7. I especially like how I drew the light of the Silmarils in those ones XD I feel like I could've done better on part 8, but I still like that one  If you like, let me know which ones you liked the most! I would love to hear your feedback!   Now is the time for a little break, in which I will finish up some other things. Then I can announce the next project that I've planned (which will hopefully be soon lol)!

Respond to this postbyreplying abovethis line New post on Witches Of The Craft® NEW BOOK OF THE LAW by ladyoftheabyss THE NEW BOOK OF THE LAW [sources: The Book of The Law, The Old Laws for the Old Great Book of the Law, The Dragon Law] Preface: In my years of teaching and running a group, I have had a dissatisfaction with the popular "Book of the Law" available most Seekers. I felt it to be too archaic in its wording and tive -- and while it was valuable in the Burning Times, it simply not deal with the concerns and needs of "modern-day" Witches. the years I became familiar with several other sets of Laws. Each these had many good points, yet they also had their disadvantages as Recently, I decided to do something daring -- I took the four dif-ferent versions of the Laws which I had, and combined and them. I deleted what was no longer pertinent or meaningful, others to make them clearer and more understandable, as well as throwing in a few new ones which I felt had been lacking. I believe that what has evolved out of this work is a set of Laws are readable, usable, and most importantly, pertinent to the today's Witches and Neo-Pagans. It is with these thoughts and that I would like to share them with you. If you should find merit worth in them, then I will feel as though I have accomplished thing. The material in this booklet has not been copyrighted, so may reproduce the Laws for students or friends, or reprint them your publication. It is my sincere hope that the New Book of the will be of use to the Craft Community. Blessed Be, Lady Galadriel 1. The Laws were created to give our lives form and order, that all might be balanced throughout all of the planes. In truth there are two sets of laws which govern us -- one sets forth the ways of the Wiccan, and the other the ways of the Universe. Both are both should be observed with respect and treated with honor. Laws were shaped and molded to teach us, to advise us, and to us in our time of mortal life on earth. 2. Honor the Gods, for They are the channels and the the Source. Honor yourself, for this force also lies within you. Love the Gods as They love you, and by loving yourself and your brothers and sisters, so the Gods shall honor you. As the love joy of a man and a woman [or "lover and beloved" -- LAH] flowers grows when nurtured with respect, and cultivated with and honor, so should you love the Gods. 3. The Goddess is the Great Mother, and the God is the Great and we are Their children; and we shall worship Them, for They the rulers of the Universe, and all that is therein. Therefore, O Children of the Gods, try Them not, nor attempt to test Them, for They shall show you that he Ways of the Craft are not to be 4. Let the Power of the Craft flow from you only in love -- or not at all. For it has always been known that the energy webs which we weave and maintain shall eventually return to encircle their Thus our works become either the net which entagles and binds the web of light by which we find the Gods. 5. Let the Rites of the Wicca be a way for the children of the be as One -- for Power only flows when unified. Always should revere the Earth, and heal and tend Her, for She is our life, our Mothership, on which we navigate the dark currents of space. 6. When you reap the harvests of your lands, then you shall not one corner of the field, nor glean the herb gardens, or the fallen fruits of the orchards. These you shall offer to the Earth Mother, in direct return, or through offerings made to your Circle, or to sustain its Priests and Priestesses. 7. Always be proud to be of the Wicca, but do not allow your become vanity -- for those who are conceited are a stubling the door of the Temple, and they shall be cast adrift, to swim 8. Observe and listen, reserving your judgement, for until all the silver is weighed, who can know the worth thereof? 9. As like breeds like, even more so does good beget love and Your life will be full of love and joy if you are joyful and happy. 10. Your teachers are the servants of the Gods, and they shall the seeds of knowledge within the minds of their students, and shall use their power for the good of the Wicca. Yet it is each individual's duty to tend the seeds which are planted, and to the final harvest. Those who misuse the power and the trust of teacher's position shall have to answer to the Lords of Karma, adjust the balance accordingly. 11. The Temples of the Gods, which are Their abode on Earth, belong to all Their children, and each Circle shall be as a special family. Do naught against any Temple or any family of the Wicca, you do that thing unto the Gods, and against yourself. 12. You must not be a teller of tales amongst the children of the Goddess, and you must hold no malice or evil thoughts towards 13. You should not lie, nor give false testimony before your or those who are of the Wicca -- for liars are fools, and a menace unto themselves, and to the Wicca. Be truthful in all your works deeds, especially within the Circle, for what you say within the presence of the Gods becomes manifest. 14. You must not put stumbling blocks in the way of those who follow the Path of the Wicca. You must make no unrighteous ments of their ways, and you should aid them with an attitude of when it is asked for. Yet ever should you keep the Counsel of the Elders, and reveal naught to others of where our Circles may be, may you reveal our ways without the consent of the Priestess. 15. When you make a vow to the Lord or the Lady, or you swear to another of the Wicca, then you must do all that has come forth your mouth, for a covenant with the Gods, or with the Wicca, is Honor, and woe to those who care not for the fetters they attach their souls by not keeping their word. 16. The Great Mother and Father would not have their children the indignities of oppressors for their sake, for what is within the hearts of Their children is dear and true to Them. The Ancient and Mighty Ones shall cause the balance to be made for those who the Lord and Lady, Their temples, or Their creations. 17. Never shall you use Magick, nor the Craft, to cause harm, for is misuse of the Power, and it is not to be condoned. To cause death of another through the Craft is to require the death of the 18. Never betray any of the brethren, nor the lore of our people, you are all servants of the Gods, and must live by the virtues of love, honor and wisdom. Let truth, loyalty and honor be your Let them be your guides, tempered by love and wisdom. 19. The Order of the Gods shall you keep, and within Their Circles shall you walk. You should not say "I believe" when you doubt, claim to obey the Lord and Lady's word when you never enter Temple. You must not profess with your lips that which is not in 20. Do not use the names of the Gods in negative or evil ways, for They love and cherish Their children above all others. All others They love, even those who know them not. Yet those who hate in Their name shall have the Mighty Ones take the measure of 21. In any disputes between the children of the Goddess, no one invoke any laws but those of the Craft, or any tribunal but that of Priestess, Priest, and Elders. 22. No one of the Wicca may do anything which will endagner the nor bring any of the Wicca into conflict with the Law of the Land, with any of our persecutors. 23. Your magickal tools are channels to that which is most and pure within you. Do not cheapen them by haggling their price when you acquire them. 24. Never accept money for the use of the Power. It is sorcerors charlatans who accept money for their spells and prayers. If you accept no money, you will be free from the temptation to use the for evil or unworthy causes. 25. You shall never take unduly from any human, animal or that which is not yours to take -- for if you steal from another, in the end you will have to sacrifice something dearer to you in to attain the balance. 26. Show honor to all people, that they may look up to you, and respect you, and their eyes shall become a mirror for your soul. 27. Those who are of the Wicca shall not own slaves, for one may not own the spirit of another, for only the Great Mother and Father own our souls. Nor shall you take as a pledge any life, for to do so is to take upon yourself both a mill and a mill- 28. If a stranger sojourns with you, you shall do them no wrong; shall be as one of the Circle, born amongst ye, and you shall deal with them as you would yourself. 29. Just weights and just balances shall be given by you, and just value shall you give, and thereby receive threefold. 30. Your altars shall be kept clean, pure and holy, and all that is brought into the Temple or the Circle shall be cleansed and for the joy of the Gods, and of the Wicca. 31. A clean mind should have a clean body. You should keep your clothes, and your house clean, in honor of the Mother, who these things to you. 32. Let none die without honor, without love, without respect, their actions have decreed otherwise. 33. You should not couple together if it shall cause pain, jealousy deprivation to another by doing so. Union for malice or evil such as these upsets the balance, and the Lords of the Universe make adjustments accordingly. 34. Let those who would love, and would be as one, and bear handfasted. For the sharing of love in this manner is beauteous, love's union in the energy of the Gods, and the heritage of the It is important for children to know and to identify with those who brought them here. 35. The Law of the Goddess is that none of the Wicca shall take wed someone who they do not love, whether it is to harm for some form of material gain. 36. Remember that your children are Goddess-spawned, and are spirits. You do not own nor control them. They are your brethren, come to visit for a while, that they may share in the vision of your love and wisdom. Let each parent realize that although they may and guide with love, the child shall also teach the parent, and aid them in their growth and lesson 37. The etheric web and energy vortexes of the earth are in flux and motion to adjust to the needs of the planet. The sacred trust of the Wicca is to create and to maintain centers of light and knowledge, using the magick of the divine spark within us to channel the forces of the Universal fire. And these are the established between the worlds of the stars and the realms of the earth, bringing in and regulating the spirit flames which energize activate all life forms. Thus we tend and guard the threads of creation, and we weave the patterns of life and manifestation in ever-evolving tapestry. 38. Never use your heritage or position for self-glorification or gain. Respect your magick and our ways. We must always while others may look to us to lead them, they too are our guides. 39. Keep yor body strong, your mind keen, and your purpose within your being you shall channel the Power, and it needs to be strong and pure. And these are the keys to the path of Oneness, communication with the Gods. Yet first you must learn to speak Them in such a manner as They can comprehend you. For the the Wicca must aid the Gods, and work with Them, otherwise the cannot aid and work with you. Ever remember that the Priest and Priestess are the living representatives of the God and Goddess Forces, and likewise that all humans carry these forces within though they may lie dormant and unawakened. 40. As the Great Mother and Father come unto one another and with the pure vibration of Love-Wisdom, so should you strive to your Temple pure in vibration, and thus a fitting place wherein may invite the Gods. Thus, your Circle should always be duly and cast, and likewise, those who would use the gateways and the Circle between the earth and other realms should also be duly prepared and purified. 41. The Goddess hath said, "I shall not carry thee, yet neither I hinder thee, nor keep thee from having the same opportunities of my children. Thou art free, yet thou shalt not be coddled like babes in the storm. If thou hast true devotion within thee, then all obstacles may be overcome." 42. The laggard is but half a person -- and though half is better none, the whole is twice as good as the half. Those who do not or who lack the will and desire to learn the ways of the Gods, them is said, "The Ancient and Mighty Ones shall not keep thee their house, if ye learneth not." 43. A sanctuary you shall make unto the Gods, that They may amongst you. And you shall fashion it to the best of your ability, according to all tha your Elders shall show you, and pure energy you place therein. 44. An altar shall you make to unto the Lady, and you shall make reverence unto Her, for every place where She is exalted, She will to you and bless you. And you shall fashion your altar out of stone, and burn incense and candles thereon, at the proper observance of her ways. 45. You should set aside at least one day during each moon unto Goddess, and on these days you shall do Her work; and on those She shall renew Her children and bless them. 46. Learn to build your own Temple, and to craft your own sacred Circle, and all the tools that are used therein -- for to be a person of the Craft is to be a person of consequence. 47. Let each of you inscribe your own record of our ways and ings. For the course of each Wiccan should be charted, that the patterns of their life-web may be made known and utilized. Let Wiccan start their Book of Light with the teachings and lore of tradition, yet let it also contain the rites and ways of each in-dividual, which are the harvest of each child of the Wicca, to use wisdom of their heritage as the seeds of their own wisdom. Thus our lore and knowledge continue to grow and unfold, like a 48. It is right to study and to understand the sigils, statues and stories of the Gods, for they shall guide your thoughts to Them, They shall hear them. Yet you must ever remember that you the sign nor the statue, but the Gods which inspired them. 49. If your Circle owns any land, let all guard it, and help to keep it clean. Let all justly guard all monies of the Circle, as well as the rights and property of all members of the Circle. 50. If any Wiccan truly labors, then it is right that they should their just pay. This is not considered the taking of money for the Art, but good and honest work. Yet if any Wiccan works willingly the good of the Craft, or for their brothers and sisters without then it is to their greatest honor. 51. If any Wiccan should deny themselves some pleasure or indulgence in order to do service in the Circle, this person shall blessed and remembered. For those who give for the greater all shall have their spirit uplifted. 52. Know also that if you gift the Lady's Priests and Priestesses, Her Circles, this is an offering made unto the Mother Herself, for a true Priest or Priestess strives always to do Her work, and to be service to Her children, so to honor and respect them is to honor respect the Queen of All. 53. And the offerings which are considered the most pleasing to Gods are these: the fruits of the orchards the scents of the trees herbs the metals of the earth the waters of the earth the flowers the meadows and the milk of all mothers. Yet offerings of labor or money are honest too, and these will also be accepted -- moreso work with love in your heart, for always there is work to be done the Gods, and service to be given to the children of the Wicca. 54. If your offerings are made to restore the balance, it must by of nature that it not offensive to the Gods. It must be of value, yet given with a free heart. Thus shall the harmony be restored. If offerings are given with a heart filled with love and devotion, or of service to the Gods, or to the Craft, then shall you receive blessings manifold. 55. And when you make an offering unto the Gods, you should thru the most proper medium, at the proper times, and in such a as to make it acceptable. Any and all remains of the rituals shall consumed in the fire, or buried within the Earth, as a way of retur-ning to the Source all that we use in the observance of our ways, ensuring the continuity of the cycle. 56. All may use the Craft to help and aid them, or for the of their Circle, or the Craft -- yet only if you are sure that you harm none. Let each Wiccan and Circle always debate these length. Only if all be satisfied that none be harmed in any way, the Art then be used. If it is not possible to achieve your ends one way, then perhaps the goal may be achieved by actng in a way, so as to harm none. 57. Throughout the world it has been many a year since Wiccans been burned. Yet misuse of the Power might raise the once again. So never break the Laws, however much you might ted, and never consent to their being broken. And if you know are being broken, then you must work strongly against it. 58. In days of old it was decided by the Mighty Ones who came us that the Art might be used to restrain others from harming the Craft or its children, yet only after great consultation with all members of the Circle, and only then to deflect or to constrain 59. And such were the ways of the Lady that She brought us forth joy, and such were the Ways of the Lord that His reign gave all pleasure. Offer love in your worship and all shall be joyous in 60. In the dimly remembered dawn of ages past, the Wicca were free. Then, in Atlantis came the Age of the Misuse of Power, by the Ages of Persecution and Suffering. Thus the people of the Wicca hid themselves and cloaked their knowlege, and wove secrecy and silence. And this is how the Ways of the Wicca have preserved through the time of darkness. Yet much of the ways of people were lost to the ignorance of others. 61. Yet the cycle spirals ever on -- and the Age of the Earth once again draws nigh. We must be strong -- one with our and one with our Gods, if we are to bring forth the balance. Those who would harm us, or attempt to enslave us, we must overcome only through light and love, and never through violence or the evil chaos. And through our efforts the time of our people will come being once more. In the times which lie ahead, there lies much to be done, so that once more the cycles of life are drawn to the of light, and the balance acheived through the power of love. 62. In order to bring the ways of Light and Love and Life to the peoples of the Earth, our secrets are slowly becoming secrets no and it is good that this is so -- for the age of shadow and secrecy passing. Yet the sharing of our ways needs always to be guided wisdom and by love. Let our rites and our mysteries be kept Let no one defile our worship or our heritage. For the defilement our ways is an honor loss to self, and for the Craft. 63. Let each High Priestess govern her Circle with justice and and with the help and advice of the Elders and the High Priest, heeding the messages of the Gods when they come. 64. Ever remember that although the Priest is the force with Circle is built, the Priestess is the ruler therein -- for it is her that the Goddess created the world, and all things therein. 65. The High Priestess will heed all complaints of all Pagans and Wiccans, and strive to settle any differences between them with 66. Let each Circle of Light decide how it shall be known -- by earthly name or magickal one. For each child of the Wicca best the safety or dangers of their homeland. 67. Let each Circle or Temple maintain and dedicate unto the and the God all the things that are required for Their rituals, for what is blessed in the name of the Gods rightly belongs to Them, the Priest and Priestess shall be the caretakers thereof. 68. Anyone of the circle who is of sufficient rank, and wishes to a new Circle, shall tell the High Priestess and the Elders of their intentions. Members of the old Circle may join the new Circle is formed, but if they do so they must leave the other Circle, otherwise instructed. For it is the Old Law that each Wiccan may the Circle of their choice, yet their energy should not be divided between two or more Temples. 69. The Elders of the old and new Circles shall meet in peace and respect, to decide the level of interaction and connection Circles. Yet it is known that the splitting of a Circle often means strife. So only if it is truly in a spirit of peace and harmony should the Circles meet for the celebration of the Great Festivals. 70. None shall enter the Circle that have a sickness or an ailment which may be passed on to the Lady's other children -- for to do causes harm to yourself, as well as to the others of the Circle. Rather should the Healers go unto the sick one, that through the of the Gods they shall be made well and whole once more. 71. It has been judged lawful that if any of the Craft need a or land, and none will sell, to incline someone's mind so as to be willing to sell, providing it harms none and the full price is paid without haggling. 72. In the matter of quarrels or disputes between the members of Circle, the High Priestess shall convene the Council, and inquire the matter. The Council shall hear each person privately, and then both together. And they shall decide justly, not favoring one side 73. If an agreeable resolution cannot be reached, then that must leave the Circle, for a Circle of Light cannot be properly where there is disagreement and discord. And when a Circle is properly formed, the energy within is either dissipated, or turns ugly, festering like a hidden sore. So let them leave, but only with love in their hearts and yours, for even though your paths may erge, you are still all children of the Wicca, and there must be no violence between us. Bear no grudges, hold no thoughts of for this will rot away the foundation of your power. 74. It has ever been recognized that there are some people who never agree to work under any others. At the same time there are people who cannot rule justly. To those who must ever be chief is but one answer: "Void this Circle, and seek another one, or if be of sufficient rank, then form a Circle of your own." To those cannot rule justly, the answer shall be "Those who cannot bear rule will leave you." For none may come to Circle with those with whom they are at variance, for to do so angers the Gods, and 75. Those that do wrong without knowlege shall be held innocent; that do wrong through carelessness shall be judged lacking in and dealt with according to the nature of the transgression. who do wrong with deliberation and forethought shall be thrice ed, and the Lords of Karma shall lay low their pride. 76. Each person must make a balance for their words and the judgements of the Elders should incline to try to make good from the injustice or wrong-doing. Many are the ways to restore balance, so let the judgements of the Elders and the Priestess be keeping with this. 77. Do not turn aside those who seek the ways of the Wicca for want of an offering or the lack of a robe. You are the servants of the Gods, and the servants of Their people, and those that seek the Gods you must aid in their quest. 78. Of those who would inquire as to the ways of the Goddess, or wish to become of the Wicca, ye shall search their hearts, and into their spirits you shall look, as you are able. For the Wicca do not look to acquire mere numbers. Let none be turned away if hearts are true, and their desire earnest. 79. The hidden children are like the strings of a harp: each one give a clear note, and when gathered together in sympathy and they shall give rise to a beautiful symphony. Yet when struck reason or thought, these notes may cause discord or Therefore the Gods decree to Their Teachers and Priests that all be taught to master their harp, and to pluck their strings with that they cause no discord or imbalance. 80. Choose the Priests and Teachers of the Wicca with diligence with care. The qualities that you should search for within them are Faith, Belief, Knowledge, Ability, Patience, Leadership, Humility, a loving nature -- for they must lead and teach the children of the Goddess, and will thereby have the power to do great good, or to great imbalance. 81. In practice it should be that the greatest of the Priests and Priestesses should guide the rituals within each of the Temples of Old Gods, and truly you should be content with the advice and given by them. Yet ever it should be given so that it is clear and understandable, for within the Temple each of the Wicca is free, thus they should be able to recognize and to understand our their implications. And those who cannot explain the inner or give just cause and reason for their decisions, may be or the wisdom of the advice weighed. 82. Let the Priestess and Priest lead as long as they are able, and their leadership be wise and strong, and to the benefit of the Yet if their health is ill-favored, or if the next generation needs to try their hand, then let them have the vision and the wisdom to away from their position, and pass the duties of the Circle t o another. Let them not become overly attached to the office, nor fond of the power. 83. If a Priestess or a Priest should tire of their duties and char-ges, then they may step down, but only after having trained and acknowledged a successor. If a Priest or Priestess deserts their Circle, then they have lost the right to ever lead again within this life, so great a trust they have broken. If they should return to the Circle within one turn of the Wheel, and are judged to have true atonement in their hearts, new insight and growth, then they may forgiven, and allowed to return to the Circle, yet they shall only, and hold no office or title. Leadership is a sacred and an honor, and they have shown that they cannot be trusted such responsibility. 84. Any Priestess, Priest, or Elder who consents to a breach of Laws regarding the use of the Craft to cause harm to others must immediately be relieved of their office, for it is the lives of the children of the Goddess which they endanger, as well as the 85. The High Priestess may take a Sabbatical from her Circle, if personal life and duties require it, for up to a year and a day. During that time, the Maiden shall act as High Priestess. If the Priestess does not return at the end of a year and a day, then the Initiates of the Circle shall name a new Priestess.
