the ace attorney fandom has such an established lot of headcanons half of which they think are actually canon and almost none of which i agree with, on top of all the changes the translation made which i despise id honestly be better of not interacting at all which is actually really annoying

#i dont even hate most of the interpretations of the characters that the fandom has #just the headcanons like shoving everyone into family dynamics that have nothing to do with their actual relationships #and like making stuff up about edgeworth and franziskas childhood that never happened #and lots of other stuff i cant remember i suppose with an old fandom you do get a lot of fanon you cant exactly expect it to be good #and like i actually enjoy seeing a lot of what people have to say about the characters and stuff #and i literally even ship the most popular ship thats not even common for me #but all the differences in how they see everything is so annoying like i really dont like their version of canon #though i admit im also not really a fandom person by nature so were probably not going to mesh well anyway #i mean like not just that im the wrong demographic just i dont fit inti the subculture at all #like people in real life just seem to have a lot more similar like mindsets and backgrounds and everyrhing i dunno #but i do genuinely qlso find it fun so i dunno get over it i suppose
