I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

It's easy to get the impression that Tetsuji never cared enough to rein in Riko's behaviour and temper but I think it's the opposite. I think Riko grew up constantly being told stuff like, "You have to learn to control your temper" and, "Is that any way to behave?" by Tetsuji. I think Tetsuji would have even disciplined him harshly every time he was caught acting out of anger. But all that is coming from Tetsuji - the man who would beat a kid if they displeased him in any way. How can you ever really take to heart the words of someone who demonstrates the exact opposite of what they preach? How are you supposed to not learn that the real lesson is, "Become the one who has all the power over everyone else and you will never have to suffer criticism for how you behave ever again."

it’s interesting that for all sam needles at dean after their father’s death to talk about his feelings… sam doesn’t. he doesn’t break down in front of dean. he doesn’t outwardly mourn him. he doesn’t sit down and talk about it. he just keeps it all in.

i don’t think sam loved their father any less than dean. sure, he had his hangups with the man but he was still his dad. there’s more of this though; sam never talks about jess’ death either. it clearly eats him up inside, but not once does he ever really talk to dean about it. no fun stories of their time together. no sad memories. no grief meltdowns, no yelling no crying no external signs of his sorrow at all except him becoming hollow and distant.

it’s so telling for me that sam is seemingly so outwardly caring but he never actually shows anyone what he feels. sam doesn’t grieve like dean. he clams up. he dissociates. he gets angry. when jess dies, when his father dies, when dean dies, it’s all about revenge. he stuffs down all of his grief and replaces it with fury.

sam is only playing at being the normal, emotionally stable brother. in his head, he’s a mess. he’s awful at managing grief. he never allows himself any catharsis, and he doesn’t trust anyone enough to externalize his grief, even dean. maybe its because every time he spoke out as a child, he’d be struck down by both dean and his dad. or maybe it’s just his nature. either way, sam is very, very good at repressing his emotions, shifting the focus to the people around him, and never really dealing with his own issues.

Sunny didn’t recognize Tubbo. The man in front of her was wearing her Pa’s face, he had the same smile lines and eye color, and he even had the same chronic bedhead as her Pa.

But this mad had a vacant stare in otherwise warm eyes. He had a tight stance that was ready to spring into action. This man carried the smell of blood and gasoline instead of oil and eath. This man was barking orders and slamming doors while telling her to keep safe.

This man was not her Pa, but she could still see him beneath the layers that this man wore. She could hear it in his voice beneath the growl of the other man’s orders and the rumble of the chainsaw. She could see the way his eyes softened when he looked at her and how his cold fingers would tighten around hers when she grabbed his hand. 

This man was not her Pa, but someone her Pa became.

Cami: the fact that she's so fucking cool, I could gush about her all day. she just has such a strong sense of self, is very driven and doesn't take shit from people. And she's a full on music nerd with the best taste in music.

Spencer: I love his dry humor lmao; I often find myself busting out laughing at his lines. he's very quick-witted with the comebacks. he's that person that sees the straightforward answer to something and is like YEAH NOPE and goes left and says some extra shit. Which is funny because he hates talking.

Mira: that she has no filter and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind - makes for a lot of hilarious situations xD

Vince: how annoyingly persistent he is. Hear me out: imagine you're walking home from work and you see a stray puppy on the street. you acknowledge it for a few minutes not knowing that now it has immediately grown attached to you. It starts following you everywhere. You look back at it like 'no stop I can't take you in' but it just keeps following you, waiting outside your door, wearing you down until finally you're like 'ok!! I get it!! you want to be my friend and I have no choice!!'. That's Vince.

Noah: idk how to say this but...how perplexing he is? Noah's that character that comes off very outwardly cheerful and friendly, but in actuality he's quite sinister and will fully claim he has more vices than virtues. He seems to be that guy who would get along with everyone and bring people together but in reality he's very particular about the people he seeks out and thinks are worth his time. I didn't intend to write him like this but that's how he turned out and I've been enjoying exploring that in this new draft!

Jeremy: his positivity! He's Cami's brother and is the complete opposite of her in terms of mindset/mood - she sees the glass as half empty but he sees it as half full, always looking for the bright side of things/the silver lining. Which I think is a refreshing and admirable trait to have :)
