It bothers me so much that people latch onto this quote from Darcy but ignore the context around it:
“Shall we ask your cousin the reason of this?” said Elizabeth, still addressing Colonel Fitzwilliam. “Shall we ask him why a man of sense and education, and who has lived in the world, is ill-qualified to recommend himself to strangers?” “I can answer your question,” said Fitzwilliam, “without applying to him. It is because he will not give himself the trouble.” “I certainly have not the talent which some people possess,” said Darcy, “of conversing easily with those I have never seen before. I cannot catch their tone of conversation, or appear interested in their concerns, as I often see done.”
This is the big proof that Darcy is shy/socially awkward/whatever. But there are two answers right there! Colonel Fitzwilliam has an explanation that makes Darcy look far worse: he is rude because he doesn't care to be polite.
Darcy likes Elizabeth, and while I'm sure he didn't outright lie because he's a radical truther, he definitely did not tell the whole truth! Because the girl he likes just called his behaviour "very dreadful" and he needs to make himself look better. And then we know what he says later when he feels actual remorse for his prior behaviour (which he does not feel at Rosings):
I was... allowed, encouraged, almost taught me to be selfish and overbearing, to care for none beyond my own family circle, to think meanly of all the rest of the world, to wish at least to think meanly of their sense and worth compared with my own.
Where is his problem with conversing now? It's nowhere, because that was never the real problem. I am sure that Darcy does not converse easily with others, because I don't think he lied, but that is not why he was an unsociable asshole at the Meryton Assembly. It's because he did not think the unwashed masses of Hertfordshire were worth him putting in the effort.

Pemberley. Your home away from home. The large country estate was gorgeous, surrounded by vivid green grass, and which sat across a crystal clear lake. You loved Pemberley not only for its beauty, but because the place had become your own haven of peace and solitude. It was where you could be yourself without worrying about being judged or ostracized.
Though, during the time, you always were forced to look so prim and proper, on days where you had no other responsibilities, you would sneak out to sit on the soft grass outside. That was the only time you really felt free.
As a child, you visited Pemberley more often than not. Your family were great friends with the Darcys and Bingleys, resulting in you spending a lot of time at the residence and within their presence. You had become close friends with Charles Bingley - his sister, Caroline, not so much - George Wickham, and Fitzwilliam Darcy.
During your later adolescent years, you had briefly traveled to the Longbourn estate, where you had grown close to Jane and Elizabeth Bennet, despite your parent's wishes. Your mother specifically didn't want you spending time with those in the Middle Class. That didn't stop you though.
Out of the three, Charles, Caroline, and Fitzwilliam, you spent most of your time with the latter. And eventually Georgiana Darcy in the later upcoming years. Ever since you were a young child, you would travel to Pemberley with your parents, occasionally playing with the young Darcy if you were both not in lessons with your shared tutor.
You never really understood why both you and Fitzwilliam were tutored together, you never voiced your questions out loud, in fear of being scolded. But, during your many years in the company of Fitzwilliam, the two of you became very close friends, which was only natural having grown up together.
As the years went on, your parents began forcing you to attend balls, and at the age of twenty-two, you began to realize that they were actively looking for a suitable husband for you. You had a distaste for the idea, but were forced to comply, knowing that they would not end the search, no matter how many times you had voiced your own wishes.
Thankfully, Charles, Caroline, and Fitzwilliam were usually always attended. And occasionally, you'd spend time with Jane and Lizzie when they attended the same events, but otherwise, you would stand on the sidelines with Fitzwilliam as everyone else danced.
Your personality, though more reserved, wasn’t lacking. You had a great sense of humor, a sharp intellect, and an excellent memory. You enjoyed reading books and watching plays and operas; at a time wishing you could play a part in either one. You were kind, and generous to a fault; which, when you were younger, had gotten you into some trouble at times. You were very free-spirited, not afraid to speak your mind in certain situations; which your parents thought resulted in you spending too much time with Elizabeth Bennet.
Fitzwilliam, though holding many similar interests, his demeanor was seemingly unfriendly, aloof, and unapproachable. He kept to himself, rarely engaging in social activities and never participating in conversations unless spoken to first. And while he was a bit arrogant and proud, he was actually very caring and understanding towards the ones that he held in high esteem. He still remained distant from most people, preferring to watch them from afar with a critical, often anxious - though, he was rather good at hiding it, gaze.
You usually stood on the sidelines with Fitzwilliam at balls, only occasionally dancing with some random man your parents wanted you to dance with; in hopes some spark ignites. But, you disliked dancing, especially with strangers, and preferred to read books and relax in your room. Fitzwilliam, ever the gentleman, would start up some sort of conversation with you, albeit awkwardly. Though it happened rarely, it was always welcome; all the balls that you have ever been to have always been dreadful, but less so with Fitzwilliam there.
Balls had become associated with finding suitors and respectable husbands, rather than having fun and enjoying yourself, and you were beginning to resent that aspect of life. You knew that there was going to be a very low chance, or none at all, that you would be allowed to choose your own husband; or even have any say in the arrangement in the first place. If you did have a choice, you would choose Fitzwilliam. A few years prior, you noticed that you had developed feelings for him, feelings that were growing every single day.
You greatly admired Fitzwilliam, his intelligence, kindness, gentleness, handsomeness, and overall good nature. But you said nothing of it. You knew you had no choice in who you were going to marry - whether you liked it or not. So you kept your head down and tried not to think of it too much. Though, it was hard to not think about him, you spent a lot of time with the man after all. But, being a very respectable and composed young woman, you didn't show most of your emotions to others.
As an Upper Class woman, you were required to follow every rule laid out by your parents and society. You also had a duty to act demure in public, especially during formal events, and to appear to be a perfectly poised young lady. This was something that you hated, not being able to express yourself freely, or to be your true self. But, you were really good at it. Being taught to hold unwanted emotions at bay, which you had learned to hold certain romantic feelings for Fitzwilliam in a tightly controlled manner.
Sitting in one of the many sitting rooms in Pemberley, you quietly sipped your tea with Fitzwilliam and Caroline. It was silent, aside from the occasional clink of a tea cup being placed upon a small saucer, the sound of Fitzwilliam's quill upon the parchment, and the sound of you turning the pages of your book as you read. Whilst your mind was elsewhere, you hardly noticed Caroline as she read some letter about a scandal some banker was in before hearing your friends, Elizabeth Bennet's presence being announced.
"Miss Elizabeth Bennet."
Shutting your book, you let a small smile grace your features as Lizzie entered, her hair down and mud on her shoes. She gave a polite smile, looking around the room as Fitzwilliam stood and gave a curt bow of the head. Setting your book on the table before you, you walked over to the young woman, greeting her with a quick hug.
After a moment of silence, Caroline quietly gasped, "Good lord, Elizabeth. Did you walk here?”
"I did..." She answered as you both pulled away from the hug.
"Lizzie, it is so good to see you. Are you well? It has been ages since we last spoke." You asked, "I hope you won't become ill. It was rather chilly out this morning."
"I am well, thank you. And yourself?" She asked softly.
Clasping your hands together before you, you nodded, "I am doing marvelously, thank you. We will have to have tea together sometime soon, I miss our riveting conversations."
Lizzie's smile widened, "Of course." After another slightly awkward moment, she continued, "I'm so sorry, how's my sister?" She brought her eyes to Fitzwilliam and Caroline.
"She's upstairs." Fitzwilliam answered and Elizabeth nodded.
"Thank you." With one last look and smile towards you, she left the room with haste.
Letting out a small sigh, you walked back to the table, sitting back down in your seat and reopening your book. "My goodness, did you see her hem? Six inches deep in mud. She looked positively medieval." She mocked with amusement in her tone, and you rather hoped that she would finish speaking, but she wasn't done. Caroline then turned to you, and braced yourself for her words, "That was rather unlady-like, wasn't it?" She asked, as you flipped to the next page of your book.
"May I ask you to elaborate, Caroline?" You asked, barely giving the woman a glance as you continued reading. Ever since you were a young child, you and Caroline had never seen eye to eye. You weren't exactly fond of each other, and you didn't care to try getting along any better than you already did.
"Greeting her in such a manner." Caroline responded as she picked up a small finger sandwich.
You flipped to the next page, "Isn't it rather unlady-like to bring yourself into one's business, Caroline?" You asked, looking up to look at the women with a raised eyebrow. She only said nothing, letting out a small scoff as she looked away. "Oh, Caroline, dear... You have a little bit of something..." You began, lightly tapping the side of your mouth; even though she had nothing even blemishing her face.
Caroline quickly snatched a napkin from the table, dabbing the corner of her mouth. If she was embarrassed, she didn't show it, but you could tell by the way she fidgeted slightly in her seat that she was anything but pleased. Before going back to your book, you glanced over at Fitzwilliam, who had sat back down minutes ago, a very, very small smile on his face; his eyes held some amusement. Smiling lightly yourself, you went back to your book and tea.
~~~
It was a particular sunny day, birds singing in the trees, and clouds rolling through the sky. It was a beautiful afternoon, and you were enjoying it immensely. The weather was perfect for taking a stroll in the countryside, and if you were being honest, you loved being outdoors. The sun felt warm and inviting against your skin, the breeze gently blowing past you caused your dress to flutter a bit in the breeze. Carrying your book in your hand, you found a nice grassy spot to sit, not too far from Pemberley, but close enough to the lake that you felt at ease. You opened your book to where you had left off earlier and took a deep breath, trying to clear your mind of any unpleasant thoughts.
You did not know how much time had passed before you heard footsteps, but you didn't bother looking up. When the person then took a seat beside you on the grass, you moved your gaze away from your book, looking up. There sat Fitzwilliam, his expression unreadable. "How may I be of service, Fitzwilliam?" You asked, placing your bookmark between the pages of your novel, closing it gently and setting it in your lap.
"I had been looking for you," He began, staring straight ahead, "May I accompany you for a while?" He added, and you nodded.
"As you wish." You replied, "I'd love the company, Fitz." He didn't say anything else, just giving you a short nod, a barely visible smile before looking off at the lake.
You went back to your book, opening it once more to where you had left off, but you didn't feel like continuing. It seemed that he had something on his mind, and it seemed that he wasn't in the mood to talk about it. Perhaps it would do him good to get it off his chest. But you knew better in asking him to do such, though he was pretty open with you in general, Fitzwilliam was quite reserved when it came to matters of the heart; he'd hide things behind a façade of calm and composure when talking to those around him. So you didn't say anything, didn't push him, allowing Fitzwilliam to take his time.
After a couple of minutes, he finally spoke, "What is it that you are reading?" He asked, turning his gaze to the book in your hands.
Looking up, you meet his gaze, "It's called 'Emma.' It speaks of a young woman who thinks of herself as a matchmaker." You replied softly.
"Ah. I suppose I should not be surprised that your reading has led you to romantic literature." Fitzwilliam commented.
"Well, I wouldn't say that." You countered. "I simply find them fascinating, as they give me new perspectives." You explained, tilting your head to the side slightly, "Have you read this publication?" You asked, motioning towards the book in your lap.
"No, I have not. I believe Miss Caroline had mentioned it in passing once." He admitted, and you gave a small hum in response. "Though she was not seemingly fond of it."
You lightly scoffed, turning to stare at the lake before you, "I would suspect that she finds it distasteful." Another silence washed over the two of you, and you found yourself looking at Fitzwilliam. You could sense an uneasiness in his gaze, though there was something else there, as well. You wanted to ask what was bothering him, but you decided against it, knowing better than to pry into the affairs of another person. However, you were curious, and as you watched his eyes dart across the water, you knew you needed to speak. "Are you feeling alright, Fitz?" You questioned softly.
Fitzwilliam looked over at you, staring at you before speaking, "I apologize if you feel that I am acting peculiar..."
"Do not worry. You are not behaving strangely." You assured him, smiling slightly, "I am just worried that something might be on your mind."
Fitzwilliam pursed his lips briefly, his blue eyes locked with yours. The way you looked at him caused his stomach to flutter nervously, your overall presence made him nervous, and the overwhelming pounding of his heart was deafening. Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy was completely and utterly hopelessly in love with you. How could he ever resist you? He wanted nothing more than to hold you in his arms, kiss you until the world disappeared, and tell you everything. But that would be highly inappropriate and perhaps even selfish, and he knew that. He had no right to ask such of you, and he knew that; he pushed those desires aside immediately and forced himself to think rationally.
"Would it be presumptuous of me to inquire as to if you are going to be attending the ball this fortnight?" He finally asked, his voice low, his eyes flickering over your features.
Your heart skipped a beat upon hearing the question, and you could not help but swallow dryly. "Yes, I will be attending. As you know, my parents wouldn't allow me to miss the event, even though I would much rather be reading in my room." You answered, trying to keep the trepidation out of your voice.
"I must agree with you. I would much rather be alone in my room as well." He replied quietly, lowering his gaze back to his own lap.
"Well," You sighed out, grabbing your book once more, "At least we will have each other's presence to distract us from the tedium of the events." You said in an attempt to lighten the air, but he only offered a small chuckle before he turned his gaze back to the lake.
Silence fell over the both of you again, with the soft sound of the wind rustling through the leaves and the birds flying overhead filling the space between the two of you. The atmosphere was peaceful, as it always was whenever you were together. For you, the silence was comforting, and Fitzwilliam enjoyed the silence as well. It was rare when the both of you had the chance to have a quiet moment together, so this was always a treat for you both.
~~~
Standing at the edge of the room, in your best dress from the newest season, you stood beside Fitzwilliam as the ball was in full swing. Your eyes surveyed the large room, glancing from the dancing couples, people chatting amongst their family, friends, etcetera, and finally, your parents. They stood, speaking with a man, whom you couldn't quite place his name on. From where you were, you could not understand fully what they were saying, which worried you slightly.
And it seemed that Fitzwilliam had noticed your straying gaze on your parents, and how your satin-gloved hands fumbled together nervously in front of you.
"Do not mind them." He muttered to you, leaning slightly towards you so you could hear him over the music.
"It is hard not to, Fitz," You spoke, turning your gaze away from your parents and back out upon the dancing. "They've been trying to find me a husband for the past couple of months. I am hoping at some point they will give up in their search."
"By the way that you speak, it would seem that you do not wish to marry." Fitzwilliam said, and you turned your head to look up at him.
"You know me, Fitzwilliam." You sighed, shaking your head slightly, "I do not want to marry someone I am unsure of. Besides, there were many whom were willing to offer marriage to a lady like me, and many of them, if I must say so myself, were handsome in all senses of the word. But from the few who have offered me marriage, I have turned away. I know that they had only seen my wealth, status, and looks rather than my personality. And I find that I cannot fathom the idea of marrying someone so shallow, or lacking in depth and solidity for that matter."
"I admire your strength of character." He said, looking down at you.
"Thank you, Fitz." You smiled sweetly up at him. "I admire your kindness and integrity." You added, your smile becoming genuine as he returned your smile with one of his own; though hardly noticeable.
"Daughter," Your gaze swiftly moved from your long-time friend to your mother, who stood with your father, and another gentleman you have never met before. "I would like you to meet Mr. Albert Wright. He's the owner of the Wright & Co. bank here in England." She informed you, a smile on her face, but her eyes held such excitement.
This Albert fellow was certainly some character, judging by his attire. His suit had a deep black waistcoat, a dark green vest, black breeches, and black shoes. And despite his clothing being quite plain, he did make an imposing figure; he was tall and broad, with a strong jawline, and he appeared to be very well built. His hair was dark brown, curly, and cut short, and his eyes a brilliant green.
You curtsied to him, trying to be as polite as possible, "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Wright." You greeted, forcing a smile upon your face.
"Please, call me Albert." He spoke, his voice deeper than you expected. Surprising you further as he bows his head and then offers you his hand. "May I have the honor of asking you to dance, my lady?"
The thought of taking his hand made you nervous, yet you took it regardless; not wanting to cause a scene or to upset your mother and father. Fitzwilliam stood helplessly as he watched you being led across the room by Mr. Albert just as another song began; his frown deepened, his eyes narrowing slightly as he watched as you danced with Mr. Albert.
"Lovely match, don't you think, Mr. Darcy?" Your mother asked Fitzwilliam as she watched you dance with the banker.
Fitzwilliam reluctantly spoke, "I suppose so." He responded nonchalantly, averting his gaze momentarily before looking back over at you once more. Fitzwilliam had recognized the name Albert Wright from a couple of weeks prior. Having heard what the name had done, Fitzwilliam couldn't stop himself from warning your parents about Mr. Albert Wright's past scandal. "Madam, I understand wholeheartedly that you wish only the best for your daughter, but I feel that I must inform you that Mr. Albert was a part of a scandal many years ago regarding an older woman, whose husband was a respected merchant."
Your mother's eyes widened at the news, her hand coming to be placed upon her chest in shock, "Where did you hear of this, sir?" She inquired, your father mirroring his wife's expression, but he said nothing.
"From Miss Caroline, madam." He explained, turning to face the dancing crowd, his eyes following your figure.
Her mouth parted in surprise, her eyes widening further, "This is absolutely unacceptable! Our daughter should not associate with a man like this!" She exclaimed, her tone raising to one of anger as she glared at Mr. Albert.
By the end of the dance, Albert raised your hand and pressed a kiss to your gloved hand, bowing his head as you curtsied. Finally, you had thought, saying your goodbyes and thank yous to the man before heading back to your mother, father, and Fitzwilliam.
As you got closer, your eyebrows furrowed slightly, seeing your mother and father's angry expressions as they spoke to one another. Finding your spot next to Fitzwilliam, you leaned slightly towards the man to speak. "What has gotten my parents in such a temper?" You asked him, noticing his shoulders tensing slightly.
He glanced over at you briefly and shook his head lightly, "I am afraid I don't know. Perhaps it concerns Mr. Albert." He mused softly, keeping his eyes locked onto yours.
"But why is Papa so enraged? I haven't seen him this red since Mr. Took had tried to cheat him out of some money." You commented softly, looking up towards your parents once more.
"I believe it has to do with the fact that Mr. Albert had been a part of a scandal many years back." Fitzwilliam answered, making your jaw drop slightly, your hand coming up to cover your shock.
"And where did you hear of such a thing?" You asked quickly, wanting to know more details as to what scandal that Mr. Albert had gotten involved in.
Fitzwilliam looked down at you for a moment, turning back to the dancing, "If my memory serves me correctly, Miss Caroline had read upon it in a letter."
Trying to hide the smirk on your face, you lightly cleared your throat. "Well, isn't this unexpected," You muttered, amused. "And I could only assume that you had mentioned such news to my parents?" You asked, looking up at the name, eyes glinting with amusement.
Fitzwilliam looked down at you, nodding his head slowly, thinking, "Yes, you would be correct." He confirmed, saying nothing else which only made you smile.
"Well, thank you, Fitz," You began, "Without you, I wouldn't doubt my parents would have me married off to the man." You joked before another peaceful silence engulfed you both - that is, it was peaceful for you.
Fitzwilliam looked down at you from beneath his eyelashes, studying you carefully, almost as if he were trying to memorize every feature of your face. When he realized that he was staring, he quickly turned away, clearing his throat lightly as he gained the courage to offer his hand out. You looked over, looking up at the man, to his hand, and back.
As you raised your eyebrow in question, he finally spoke, "Would you like to dance, my lady?" He asked softly, and you couldn't help the smile that grew on your face. You had your shock well, but you were surprised that
"That sounds lovely." You whispered, placing your hand into his gently.
~~~
The sun was shining brightly as it peeked through the clouds, causing the water to sparkle with each droplet of rain that hit the surface. You love it when the sun's shining and it's raining at the same time. You had started your day as you usually did when you stayed at your family estate; waking up in your lavish bed, before getting ready for the day. Choosing one of your favorite day dresses, you style your hair neatly, grabbing a new book before leaving your chambers. Before breakfast, you did your daily practice on the piano for a moment before sitting in one of the sitting rooms and reading your book.
Joining your mother and father for breakfast, you ate delicious small cakes, breads, and hot coffee. Breakfast was pretty peaceful and quiet, aside from your father occasionally speaking up. After a while, the topic shifted from the conversation regarding your plans for the afternoon, which included spending the time walking about the grounds, as you had previously intended to do earlier in the morning.
You hid your feelings well, but you wished that you were at Pemberley at the moment. You had never really felt comfortable or a part of your family's estate. You loved both your parents dearly, but they were rather strict compared to how you're used to life at Pemberley. In truth, you missed staying there; however, you were happy that you were able to stay with your family once again and you didn't want to disrupt their routine. So, you continued to smile politely through your father's comments and continued to eat your food.
You had begun to zone out at some point of your father's speech, nodding along when you thought necessary when suddenly, you heard your name being called. You snapped your head up to see your mother with a small frown on her face. "Your father had asked you a question, young lady." She informed you. You bowed your head and apologized for spacing out. Your mother sighed, placing her small fork down on her fine China plate. "Your father had asked if you desired to attend the upcoming ball at Pemberley?" Pushing your shoulders back, your mind racking at your mother's words. But before you could answer, your mother cut back in, "We know that you don't have a fondness for such events." Your mother included, which you found odd and surprisingly thoughtful, that she was aware of your dislike for socializing, and was finally letting you have a choice in the matter.
Though, you couldn't help but wonder, why now? What had happened or what had been said that would allow your parents to change their minds? Looking up, your eyes met your mother's, "If I may, mother, I had thought that you would want me to attend such gatherings. Has something happened to change your mind so?" You asked her, tilting your head slightly as you spoke.
Your mother nodded her head, her smile widening with excitement, "Precisely so, but we have splendid news for you." Glancing to your father, he then decided to speak, clearing his throat before doing so.
"Your mother and I have found you a suitor. We have met with him many times over these past few weeks and we have deemed him to be most suitable. We have decided to arrange for your engagement with him." Your father announced.
Your breath caught in your throat, unable to utter even a word. You felt as if the world had begun to crumble around you, all your efforts of being independent forgotten as your father's words sunk in. You wanted the Earth to swallow you whole, the sky to open up and spit you back out, and any other form of escape would be welcomed by you. Your heart ached as your father finished speaking, your fingers twitching slightly as you grasped your fork tightly; your knuckles turning white.
Your lips and mouth felt extremely dry as you opened your mouth and licked your lips, a shaky breath escaping you, "Who have you arranged me with?" You asked, "... If I may inquire?" Your voice was shallow and quiet, your gaze directed downwards.
"Duke Phillip Colston, a very wealthy gentleman who lives here in England." Your father replied, watching you closely as if waiting for you to react. "I believe you'll make a very respectable wife for him, just so as long as you do not cause him too much trouble. He is an eligible bachelor after all." Your father added quietly.
Sighing inwardly, you lifted your head to look at your parents, swallowing heavily, "Do I have any say in this?" You questioned, your voice still weak as your hands clenched into fists under the table. You could feel tears building in your eyes, and you desperately blinked them away, refusing to let them fall as you tried your hardest to keep yourself composed.
"I am afraid not, dear," Your mother answered, "We have gone countless months trying to find you a respectable and kind suitor - a man who is willing and able to take care of you and provide you with all the comforts of society. And yet, all of our attempts have failed." Her tone grew seemingly irritated. "Every man we had brought to you, offering marriage, you have turned away." Her voice rose into one of anger. "You are at a point where men will not even be interested in marrying you, your refusals are becoming the talk of the town, gossip, and blather, and I will not have it." She practically spat angrily, looking up at you with fire in her eyes, a fire that you could not seem to extinguish.
You stared at your mother silently, a slight pain throbbing through your heart as you took in her words, "I understand wholeheartedly, mother," You began, pushing your chair back to stand, and setting your napkin onto your empty China plate. "I will say this, that I have no desire to marry such a man; duke or not. My heart belongs to someone who is worthy of it." You stated firmly. You then turned on your heel, walking out of the room without saying another word.
Once you were out of their sight, knowing that they weren't going to follow you, you ran. Rushing out into the hall, you ignored the odd looks from your family's servants and maids, swiftly making your way to the front doors and stumbling out into the chill air. Breathing heavily, you felt everything rushing through your veins and blood; flowing throughout your body. Without a second thought, you stepped out into the light rain before running once again.
You kept running and running, your feet stomping into the wet grass, hair plastered to your face, cold rain falling onto your face; soaking your dress. You didn't care nor have any mind to where you were running or where you were, you just needed to get away. Away from them. Away from them all. Your life, you had no power, no control over it; no matter how hard you fought against it, you could not escape fate.
You had known that at some point, your parents would grow tiresome of your constant rejection of the men they had brought to you. You knew it was going to be only a matter of time before they would just arrange for you to marry someone else. It was bound to happen sooner or later, considering your age. You weren't getting any younger, and no one wanted a spinster for a daughter.
Still breathing heavily, you came to a stop in a dewy field, your chest rising and falling as you tried to catch your breath. Finally, you let the tears fall from your eyes, your vision blurry as the water streaming down your cheeks. You wiped your cheek with your sleeve as a sob escaped your lips. You collapsed to the ground in a heap, feeling as if your heart was breaking all over again. The day of the shining sun and the falling rain, something that you had once adored, now only seemed to mock you. As you cried softly, ignoring how cold and drenched you were, you did not hear the sounds of hooves, and someone calling your name. Only when you felt someone touch your shoulder, did you look up.
Fitzwilliam's usually stoic expression was long gone, replaced with worry and concern. His brows furrowed together as he looked at your tear-stained cheeks, and your dampened dress. Fitzwilliam slowly helped you to your feet, helping you lean against him as he guided you to his horse. You did not remember much of the ride back to Pemberley, nor entering the large estate, nor when you were rushed off with a couple of housemaids. You felt numb as you were in the bath, hair being washed and skin being scrubbed. During that time, you had only wished the bath water to be scalding.
You were quickly dressed in an afternoon dress - one of the dresses that you had kept in your room for when you stayed at the estate - swiftly, you were brought to your room. You sat on your bed, in the home that you'd grown to love more than your own, gazing out the window as the rain began to slowly cease, revealing a beautiful blue sky. A sigh left your lips as a knock sounded upon your door, pulling you out of your thoughts.
"Enter," You muttered, surprisingly loud enough for the person to hear, as they opened the door.
Turning your attention from the window, you looked over to see Fitzwilliam, the same worry on his beautiful features as when he had found you in the field in the pouring rain. Silently, he sat beside you, leaving enough space to make you feel comfortable. It wasn't long until Fitzwilliam's curiosity and urgency to see whatever was the matter got the best of him. He watched as you fiddled with your fingers and sighed deeply, "What troubles you? Why were you sitting among the fields?" His voice was soft, filled with concern, and you raised your hand to your hair; brushed but not styled.
You felt your eyes well up with tears once more, a breathy sigh leaving your lips before you spoke, "I have been arranged to marry Duke Colston." You answered, a voice at the same level as the man beside you. You couldn't even bear to look at him, if you did, you were sure that the tears in your eyes would become a waterfall.
There was silence for several moments as you awaited Fitzwilliam's response. When finally, you glanced towards him, his gaze was locked straight ahead as if lost in thought, "Is this something that you are unhappy about?" Fitzwilliam inquired, his voice calm.
"Incredibly so," You answered with a breath, "I do not wish to marry that man, nor ever." You said, your words laced with bitterness, looking down at your lap, "But I do not know what to do. Despite everything, I cannot bring myself to refuse." You admitted, feeling guilty as soon as you finished speaking. Though you did not agree with the society that you lived in nor the repressing of women's voices, you knew that this was something that had to be done. Not for you, but for your family, no matter how much you detested the idea. "I will have to go along with the matter, for it pleases my family."
Fitzwilliam stared at the side of your face, subconsciously admiring you as he thought. In his heart, he despised that you were forced to marry someone who was unworthy of you - you did not deserve that, you deserved far better. But what could he do? Again, Fitzwilliam was hopeless. He was unable to do much of anything. Right before him, you were miserable, and he could do nothing but sit here and offer you comfort. He did not even know which he could offer you at this point. He could only watch helplessly as you felt like he was watching you crumble right before his very eyes. His time was up, his hopes diminished, his dreams crushed.
~~~
Fitzwilliam sat in his office, staring down at the many papers and letters before him on his desk. The ticking of the grandfather clock was loud within the silent atmosphere, its deep, heavy, and unenthusiastic noises echoing around the room, as Fitzwilliam tried to force himself to focus. He was not successful, however, as his mind drifted to you every time he closed his eyes. Every time, he would imagine you, dancing with the Duke, marrying the Duke, starting a family with the Duke. Everything that Mr. Darcy himself had desired with you.
He sighed heavily and rubbed at his forehead, closing his eyes briefly as images of you danced across his mind. You, in his arms. Dancing at the ball from only a month ago. You looked up at him with those eyes, those eyes that held his heart. You laughed, and he swore to himself that he would do everything in his power to keep you happy and laughing; he could not lose you. But he did. Why did he not ask for your hand?
A knock sounded at his office door and Fitzwilliam snapped his eyes open, turning his head to face the door. "Enter." He called out, clearing his throat. He watched as Charles Bingley, one of his friends, walked in, bowing slightly before giving him a small smile.
"Her parents have sent a carriage," He spoke to Fitzwilliam, "She'll be leaving soon, Darcy."
Fitzwilliam nodded, placing his quill back on top of his desk as he stood, walking over to the window, peering down at the carriage, "How long before she leaves?" He asked, but before he could receive an answer, he watched as you entered his vision, seemingly thanking the driver, and though reluctantly, stepping into the carriage.
Charles walked over, standing beside the man as he watched you leave. The man then glanced at his friend, observing him. The stoic look on his face, though more brooding, did not mask the sadness and pain that resided in his eyes; clearly, he cared deeply for you. Charles, and anyone else close to either of you, could have seen that.
"You care for her," Charles spoke softly, Fitzwilliam's shoulders stiffening slightly at his words, "I believe that you might even love her, Darcy."
Fitzwilliam turned toward Charles with an odd look on his face, "What makes you say such a thing?" He asked, though he already knew the answer.
"The way you look at her, the way you speak to her," Charles paused, smiling warmly at Fitzwilliam, "There is no one else that looks at her the way you do," Fitzwilliam said nothing, turning his gaze away from the window and heading back towards his desk once your carriage was out of sight. "You should go after her." Charles said suddenly before leaving the room.
Fitzwilliam sat back down at his desk, letting out a deep sigh as he let himself slouch a little. Charle's words were ringing throughout his mind, causing him to frown deeper. He didn't know how long he sat there as he stared at the paper and his quill in front of him before he suddenly stood and grabbed his coat.
~~~
Sitting in the sitting room, book in hand, your mind could hardly focus on the words written in the book. Your thoughts were all on Fitzwilliam, all on the future, and your upcoming marriage with another man you did not love. Your mind already distracted, you snapped your head over to the study's entranceway, hearing muttering coming from down the hall. You could not make out anything, only hearing that it was two men speaking, but you furrowed your brows; hearing the muttering quiet before hearing the closing of another door. Curiosity was clawing at you but you turned back to your book, trying your hardest to get back to reading it.
But as two hours passed, having checked the clock every ten minutes or so, you began to grow restless. Shutting your book, you stared at the doorway, trying to strain your ears to hear anything, but you could not make out anything. The large estate was quiet, aside from the hustling of the servants. You looked over at the clock on the wall, about to stand to practice the piano to calm your nerves before your mother walked into the room.
She stood, tall and poised as usual, a small smile on her face. With a small gesture, she told you to stand and follow her. And you did so, forgetting your book on the velvet loveseat and following your mother to your father's office. With a steady knock, the door opened and a small gasp left your lips.
Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy stood beside your father, who sat at his office desk, leaned back, and with a thoughtful expression on his face. Immediately as the door opened, Fitzwilliam turned to face you, bowing respectively, as you glanced from your mother and to your father. Looking back to your long-time friend, you tilted your head to the side slightly, "Mr. Darcy, this is a surprise." You then looked to your mother and father once more, "Whatever is the matter?" You questioned.
Your father gave you a soft nod, "Please, join us." More than confused at this point - bewildered - you stepped further into the room, your mother leaving your side to stand next to your father at his desk. "Mr. Darcy here has come to inform us of something rather pressing." Your father answered finally, standing from his leather chair with a small grunt. "We shall leave you both to converse," He added as he made his way out of the room, followed by your mother.
As soon as they were gone, you turned to Fitzwilliam, "Whatever is going on, Fitzwilliam?" You asked as the man in question took a step towards you.
And though he had a small frown on his face, his blue eyes held such vulnerability, such tenderness. "My lady," He muttered, his eyes searching yours, "I must confess that I am… Somewhat troubled." Letting out a small breath, he continued as you stared up at him, "For many years, I have found myself longing for you, and I can not seem to help but fall in love with you…" At his words, your eyes widened, and your lips parted slightly as he continued. "I have come to speak with your father about your arrangement. I can not force you to continue, nor can I force you to end it. But I can only hope that you could consider me as a potential suitor - husband rather, if that is agreeable to you."
You felt your breath hitch, your heart racing as you stared at the man you loved confessing that he had feelings for you, as well. After a moment, you managed to regain your composure, though you still remained speechless. Licking your dry lips briefly, you spoke, "It is," You breathed out. The words were barely above a whisper, and yet it seemed so loud to Fitzwilliam. He blinked rapidly, almost surprised at your response. You brushed the stray tear from your cheek, a small crawling sensation taking residence in your stomach. "I would be honored to accept your proposal, Fitzwilliam Darcy."
And though it was brief, you saw his smile before he took a step forward and hesitantly took your hand in his. The skin-on-skin contact, though usually forbidden between a gentleman and a young woman, caused butterflies to fill each of your stomachs as you both pressed your foreheads together, eyes fluttering shut.
~~~
The sun was shining brightly today, as were the birds who were singing their songs in the tree branches, which were swaying lightly in the breeze; the light rain drizzled down from the sky. A content smile spread across your face as you leaned against the railing, overlooking the beautiful gardens that surrounded the estate. Your smile only widened as you felt a pair of arms slowly wrap around your waist, tugging you back into the warmth of Fitzwilliam's body. You hummed and rested your head upon his chest, your hands coming up to cover his.
His arms tightened around your body, pulling you closer to him. "Good morning, my love." He spoke softly, planting a gentle kiss upon your temple. His lips moved along the soft skin of your cheek gently, causing you to shiver as goosebumps rose along your skin.
"Good morning, Fitz," You whispered in return. "I do declare that this is the most beautiful day I've ever experienced." You sighed out as he chuckled, nuzzling into your neck before pressing his lips to the skin there.
"That it is," He agreed before lifting his head and looking into your eyes. He gazed at you lovingly, brushing the hair from your face before leaning in and placing a soft kiss upon your lips. You sighed as he pulled away, allowing his forehead to rest against yours. Your fingers ran through his short hair, gently scratching his scalp as he hummed contently, enjoying the feeling.
"What is the time?" You asked, breaking the silence.
He glanced at his pocket watch, "Just past eight," He stated, giving you a fond smile, "Shall we head to breakfast?" He then suggested, earning a nod from you. Taking your hand in his, you brought it up to your lips, pressing your own kisses to his knuckles before he began to lead you from the balcony.
Behind the both of you, outside the window, just as the rain began to fade away... A rainbow slowly appeared.

Is That It?
Tumblr media
A/N: AHH IM SO SORRY THIS TOOK FOREVER, IVE JUST BEEN SO BUSY OK?!??! IM SO SORRY GUYS I REALLY MEAN IT! But omg im so glad im back to writing and finally done with this draft! Pairing: Will Turner x F!Reader
"You think he's ever coming back?" Your friend, Charlotte, questioned you. You were busy scrubbing the floor of the Governor's room with a very thing rag of cloth. You held it up, unfolding it to get a glimpse of all its holes and tears, a predicament to your tireless work. Gazing into one of the holes which led to the view of the sea outside the grand window, you let out a desolate sigh,
"I've lost all hope."
"Such a shame, I really thought he was interested in you." Charlotte huffed out, before sneezing against the dressing table; the dust flying in every direction it could find. You rolled your eyes, returning back to your work. It had been such a long time since you had heard anything about Will Turner, you almost thought you had forgotten his existence. The first few days after he had left was a blow to your guts, but then as time went on, you managed to adapt a new life - one which definitely didn't involve you making frequent pit stops at the blacksmith's workshop.
All you remembered was him hurriedly running about, fighting the incoming pirates. One of them had their hands wrapped around your throat, their eyes burning into your soul as they repeatedly uttered foreign words to your ears. You didn't understand it, you had no need to. All you could think about was finding a way out of the situation you were in; Will also had the same idea, because in a short amount of time, he hopped over to you and crashed a bottle of rum against the pirate's head and then looked back up at you in anger.
"What are you doing here?" He croaked out, grabbing you by your arm before dragging you off.
"I was coming to find you!" You exclaimed, shaking your head, "I didn't know it was going to get this bad out of nowhere! Who even are these people?"
"Pirates, and I don't - well, they took Elizabeth." He grumbled and you sucked your teeth to hide the surge of jealousy coursing through your veins. Yes, they were childhood friends and were very well acquainted with each other, but you had spent more time with Will than anyone else! I mean, who let him into the Governor's quarters to deliver the swords? Who made food for him and left them at his doorstep? You did, of course! But the oaf was always so caught up with his feelings for Elizabeth, you could hardly ever tell if you were just there as his "best friend" or someone to service him.
When he had left without informing you, you felt at first very much betrayed. And then you felt anger course through your veins only to be simmered down with your gut rattling in resentment. You figured you were dead to him, and that him leaving abruptly was a sign that you no longer meant anything to him. You scowled at yourself, fidgeting with your fingers as you tried to make the best of the situation at hand. The only thing your mind told you to do was to move on, with or without him. It did not matter anymore.
The Governor had seen promise in you after the disappearance of his daughter and Commodore Norrington was charged with sending you back to England for an education. You were, after all, the same age as Elizabeth and showed "some sign of intelligence" according to the people around you. You held your tongue, head faced downwards because as much as Port Royal was home to you, this opportunity would never cross your path ever again. It would only be wise to employ it and distract yourself from the boredom within the port. Besides, your only friend had left you, so there really was no point in sticking around in this dreary place. You sighed, nodding your head at whatever the old men would instruct you to do, and found yourself aboard a ship, setting sail towards England for a new chapter in your life. ****
"What's going on? What's with the ruckus?" You had asked, emerging from the special quarters on the ship. The weather was monstrous, the thunder booming every 5 seconds as a reminder of the treacherous seas. The waves splashed against the ship, churning it as if it were butter. The first mate on the crew instructed you to return back to your room, but you could barely understand what was going on. Should your return to Port Royal be this miserable? Was this the sea's way of telling you to return to England? After finishing 2 dreadfully long years of education through a prestigious - and prude - tutor, you longed to return to that misshapen cottage you once called home. At the moment, it seemed that your grave would lack the corpse it needed if everyone on board was going to drown. From the fog, your eyes bore into the sight of a mysteriously, large ship. Its flag tethered, its wood withered. As the crew around you began panicking, screaming, and crying for mercy, you stood there in shock. This was a pirate ship.
You remembered Will. He had gone after Elizabeth after she had been abducted by those foul creatures. You wondered what happened to him, wondered if he was still the same sweet Will you had grown up with. As the ship in front of you came to a stop, the planks were drawn out. Ah, now was probably a good time to head back into your quarters.
"Wait, wait, Miss (L/N), you cannot leave us! Where are you going!" A small boy had asked. You pitied him, he was no more than 6 years old. Feeling your heart battle with morality, you caught hold of his arm and dragged him into your quarters. You pushed the bed to its side and hid behind it, closer to the wall with the boy seated on your lap. You brought a hand over his mouth and whispered into his ear,
"Not a word out of you. We do not want to be killed."
That was enough to have him behave. The sounds outside only increased tenfold. You could hear flesh being slain, and bones crushing against metal swords. Gruesome, vile noises. You gagged to yourself, resting your head against the wall as you tried to formulate an escape from all this. There had to be another way. You peered over the side of the bed, noticing a shadow behind the door; it lingered for a few more seconds before a sword came pummeling through. The boy in your arms shrieked in horror, and you clasped his mouth shut as you shrank into the corner of the room. There was a sword tucked into the wooden boards under you, mainly for the ship's captain. He wouldn't be needing it now. You propped yourself with your knees, pulling the board open as the boy snuck his arm in to retrieve the glistening sword for you. When you caught hold of the metal, you merely nodded your head to the boy and then stood up to guard him. The door to the quarters was being ripped down by the pirates outside, and you stepped back, the sword stretched out towards the incoming villains.
"Stand back, foul pirates! You do not want to mess with me!" You bellow, swiping your sword around. The pirates that had finally come into view all snickered under their breath, their gazes dark and unforgiving. You saw one press his foot forward, and you jutted the sword out as a warning. He smiled in response, before they all turned their heads to face the man pushing through them.
"Out of the way, out of the way, move," A voice splintered through, and through the darkness of the storm, you couldn't make his face out exactly. The little boy behind you brought the candle from the wall over to the crowd, and that was when the light illuminated Will's face. Your jaw dropped at first, words disintegrating into the air at the sight of him.
"Will?" Your eyes widened, shoulders sagging just a bit. Will raised an eyebrow, scanning you very carefully before he noticed the locket around your neck. It was an oval shape, crafted by him as a gift for your 12th birthday. His hands gently came to lift it up in the light, and a soft gasp escaped his lips,
"(Y/N), it's you!" He exclaimed, pulling you into a tight embrace. The sword fell from your hands, clattering onto the ground below as you stood there in shock. You had never thought you'd see him again, and here he was… as a pirate?!? Your blood was boiling, the audacity of him to even hug you when you had spent years worried over him. You shoved him off before slapping him across his face. The crowd of pirates behind him winced in unison, all of them awkwardly looking away.
"I-I never thought that'd happen to me," Will groaned, rubbing his sore cheek. He watched you push past him to the deck outside, the storm still relentlessly pouring down onto the men aboard. You looked so foreign to him, standing there in those fancy nightgowns that he had only ever seen Elizabeth wear. When he had left you that night, he had embarked on a journey that had changed his entire life. He had discovered that his father was a pirate and that he was meant to be among the seas, not toiling away in Port Royal. Elizabeth had managed to find a hold among the seas too, but she declined Will's proposal to her. She told him she had viewed him more as a brother than anything else, and while that did hurt him at first, he slowly came around to understand it.
And then he remembered you, waiting for him at Port Royal. Even with all that had happened, he never wanted to come back because he believed that by showing up unexpectedly, he was only hurting you more. He figured your life as a maid was already bad enough; he was wrong, clearly. You no longer looked like a maid, you looked like the daughter of a prestigious family. He chewed his lip, eyes grazing over your form to understand what this new transformation meant but before he could even ask, he saw Jack Sparrow stumbling towards you. That was more than enough for him to try and save you.
"My lovely lady, what ever brings you-" Jack began, abruptly cut off by Will jumping in,
"Ah, that's enough of that," He glared at Jack, before forcing a smile towards you, "(Y/N), please. I need some time to talk to you. Alone. Privately."
"I could help the mistress dry her clothes," Jack grinned, stepping forward. You caught a glance of Will sucking his teeth in, trying his hardest to maintain his composure. You smirked, remembering the days when you used to tease him for always carrying a wooden gun, pretending to be an officer. He had that same look on his face, that grumpy attitude when someone tried to break up your play time. Your eyes softened, reminiscing the good days. You sorely missed him, that was for sure.
"Well, as grateful as I am that you have offered to be of some assistance to me, pirate," You crinkled your nose, pushing past Jack, "I suppose I could have some pity towards this man and converse with him… of course, if he promises to have the little boy on board with him."
Will's mouth parted slightly, frowning at your words, "I… I'm not… the uh… it doesn't matter with me, I mean I'd keep him…" He paused, momentarily to peer down at the little boy next to you, before looking to Jack, "It's up to him, though. He's the Captain."
"I am! I am!" Jack cheered, clasping his hands together. You crossed your arms, turning to Will,
"You're not even Captain?" You questioned through gritted teeth.
"I… no. Is that… Is that bad?" He shrugged, wincing at the way your shoulders were rising. You merely huffed out in annoyance, grabbing the ends of your dress to stalk off to the opposite side of the deck. Your anger was uncontrollable. He wasn't even Captain? Then what the hell was he doing for so long away from you? An absolute waste of time! You grumbled under your breath, feeling every urge in your body to lash out on him. When you swiftly turned on your heels, you were faced with a very apologetic Will who was trying his best to comfort you,
"Listen, it's not as bad as you-"
"Oh, shut it! I have spent years, years pining for you! I thought you were dead! I thought you had gone off with Elizabeth, or spent the rest of your life stuck on an awful ship! The possibilities, the scenarios I had thought about your future! And, and… and even if you were a pirate, I figured you'd be a Captain with all the skills you have! What even are you? You horrible creature, you vile beast! You tormented me for this long and this is all you could do? How dare you even show your face to me after all you have done!?!" You bellowed, slapping his face. Will stepped backwards, his mind reeling at your words.
"That's it?" Will asked, eyes wide open as he stared at you.
"That's it?" You repeated, chest heaving in shock, "Is that it? Really? That's all you have to say? I just confessed my feelings and that's all you have to say!"
Will stood there, like a sword lodged into a piece of wood. He swallowed, thickly, trying everything that he could to understand what was happening. You had just confessed that you have had feelings for him since you were young, that you were worried sick for him this whole time. He felt like a fool! To think that he had spent ages worshipping Elizabeth when you were right there beside him. He looked down in embarrassment, feeling a bit ashamed at this revelation. You had shoved him to the side, angrily muttering things under your breath as you headed towards the broken quarters.
And Will knew, as he watched you go, that he had to make up for this somehow. He'd start by showing you just how much he had missed you too.

Could I request Ciel having a best friend who can play 13 instruments?
! Ciel with a really.. REALLY talented friend !
if only i could do this man...
Tumblr media
It was a gradual thing. First, you showed off your skills with the piano. Then the violin, then the cello...
Then it started to get ridiculous. No way you're human.
"Sebastian, I want you to be true with me. Are they a demon?" Ciel would ask quietly, as he watched you play the bugle.
"I cannot sense any demonic energy from them, my lord. I sense a confident and clear-cut soul, if anything."
Ciel simply stared at you with a gaze that screamed jealousy... and interest.
You two started to become friends when he offered to pay you to give him lessons certain instruments. While Sebastian was a little jealous he picked you, he didn't put up a fight and let it happen.
The instrument he had you attempt to teach him was the guitar. Alas, the strings broke on him.
So he tried the jew harp. He chipped a tooth.
Surely he couldn't mess up a harmonica-
He had an asthma attack. He got too cocky with a complicated piece and had an asthma attack.
.....
You still tease him about that, even if Sebastian gives you a glare every time you do. Ciel doesn't mind it as much as he does, rather, Ciel finds it fairly amusing how you can find his misfortune funny.
You two became closer and closer by the day. He opened up more and more to you, expressing his nightmares (but never what they're about). If you stay over and he has one, you and Sebastian will be by his side in an instant.
While Sebastian refuses to leave unless ordered to, Ciel takes it to his advantage. He'll get Sebastian to tell him a story while you play a soft instrument to set the mood. He's out like a light halfway through it.
One of his favorite things to hear you play is the piano. An old but gold choice, isn't it? There's just something charming about the way your fingers dance along the keys. Your body swaying and moving with how intense you'll get.. it's almost like he's watching a musical performance!
Sometimes you'll be there with him and Sebastian, playing music while Sebastian teaches him how to dance. Elizabeth wouldn't want to slow dance forever, so they do numerous genres. Perfect for how many instruments you know!
Of course, Ciel still sucks at dancing. It's the thought that counts, right?

Love To Hate Me || Kylian Mbappé
Tumblr media
Chapter 6 : Liar, Liar
Plot: A surprise return makes y/n question her relationship with Kylian.
Word Count: 1902
A/N: In celebration of Kyky's birthday, here's an update xxx
Chapter 5 Masterlist
Tumblr media
Y/n's phone began to buzz loudly on her desk; she sighed and rose from her desk, a small smile gracing her face at the sight of her brother's name. Taking the phone, she headed out of her office, deciding she was in need of some fresh air anyway.
"Hey, James." she smiled, answering the call.
"Hey, y/n. You busy?"
"I'm at work but I'm owed a break anyway. Speaking of, shouldn't you be working?"
"The kids are on lunch, so I thought I'd see my little sis' is doing."
Her brother, James, was a primary school teacher back in the UK. He was two years older than her and growing up, the pair had been incredibly close. Nowadays, they didn't get the chance to talk as much, between their two busy jobs and their entirely separate lives in different countries.
"I'm good."
"Still having a hard time at work?"
As she strolled down the corridor, she sighed, "Well, the lack of headlines says not. It's calmed down a little."
"Good, you deserve a rest."
"Well, I'll have time for a rest when the transfer window closes. Until then I'll just have to suck it up."
As she strolled past Luis' office, the coach's door swung open. James continued to chat, "With the wage you're on, they're not paying you to relax." he chuckled but y/n had stopped listening to a word he was saying. From Enrique's office, not only did the coach emerge but so did Kylian. Her heart stopped.
It had been two weeks since their evening togehter as well as two weeks since she'd seen him at all. By the time her alarm had gone off- 5am- he'd slipped out, every trace of him gone, save a large, white hoodie he'd left on her bathroom floor.
Sure, she'd enjoyed the night with him; he was handsome, and good in bed, and he'd held her in his arms as they fell asleep, and it'd made her feel safe and loved and... She didn't care that he'd left in the night or that he hadn't called after that. It had been a one night thing, they'd both known that. He was leaving PSG, so what was the harm?
It was just a goodbye fuck, knowing they'd probably never see each other again. An acceptance of their attractions and their urges, admitting them to one another before he faded into TV screens and perfume adverts. So why was he here now?
"James, I've gotta go, I'll call you later though, alright?"
She didn't wait for a response before she hung up.
"Y/n, just the woman I was looking for!" Enrique grinned.
She turned around, her eyes fixed on Luis, stringently avoiding acknowledging Kylian's presence. She forced a smile, "Hey, are you okay?"
"Yes, Kylian and I finalised his contract yesterday. Elizabeth is bringing a file containing the details over to you. I need you to draft a press release about his return ASAP."
She faltered, "Kylian's coming back?"
The footballer cleared, his throat, "Yes, I am."
She shot him a glare before looking back at Luis, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I am doing."
"Okay, but some advance notice would have been nice, given that it involves my department."
"Well, this is your advance notice, so I'd appreciate it if you'd have the statement drafted and sent over to me within the hour."
With that, Luis nodded firmly and marched off; Kylian's feet were glued to the ground beneath him and he gawped at her like a goldfish. Her scowl deepened and she hesitated momentarily, as though she was going to say something. Then she spun around, her hair whipping after her, and stormed off.
Tumblr media
Two or three days had passed since Kylian had appeared at the training centre and y/n hadn't seen the man since. Much to her dismay, she'd had to schedule in and would have to attend a press conference regarding Kylian's reintegration, which she'd announced on social media earlier that day. Now, her chances of avoiding the man in question were significantly decreased.
Sporting black suit trousers and a long-sleeved bodysuit, she walked into the press conference room. She lingered at the back for a few seconds, arms folded over her chest, holding a stack of files tightly as she surveyed the room. Tens if not hundreds of journalists sat on the rows of chairs in front of her. There was a loud hum of chatter as expectant glances were cast at the panel in front of them.
She slipped back outside and headed for the room Luis waited in. As she stepped in, she was met by the sight of not only Luis but Kylian and his father.
She smiled tightly, "Good morning."
"Miss y/l/n, good to see you."
"Sorry, I'm late. I was just running a little behind schedule, but here are some cards for you to read from." she rushed over to Luis and handed him a stack of prewritten cards. She spun around to the player who watched her carefully, "Kylian." she spat, placing the cards in his hand.
Her skin brushed his, he was close enough that she could smell his unforgettable scent. His warm, soft skin on hers took her back to that night. All of a sudden, it was like his hands were all over her again, squeezing, exploring, rubbing. She could hear his voice, calling out her name, singing her praises. She could feel his hands on her tits as he pressed kisses up her neck, on her lips, her cheeks, anywhere he could. They were tangled in his soft sheets, her legs wrapped like a vice around his waist as he held her so easily, like she weighed nothing more than a feather.
"Y/n."
He'd cried out, chanting her name like a prayer. But no, he really was speaking now. He said her name, his thumb grazing her palm as she handed over the cards. He spoke quietly, almost whispering her name.
She cast him a fleeting, strange glance before turning back to Luis, "Are you ready to go?"
He nodded and she headed out into the wilderness, where the pack of reporters were gathered. At the sight of the doors opening, they all began to clamour before seeing it was only y/n.
She stepped up to the panel and spoke into one of the microphones, "Bonjour à tous et merci d'être venus. Il y aura une section pour les questions à la fin. Et maintenant, Luis et Kylian."
Cameras began to flash as everyone turned to the door she'd emerged from. She stepped down from the raised panel and stood to the side of the room. As the footballer and his coach took their place before all of the cameras, Kylian's father came up beside her.
She glanced up at him and offered him a small, polite smile, before turning her gaze back to the press conference which was starting. Luis began speaking, though she didn't understand a word of his Spanish.
"So, you're the one who's been sabotaging my son's career?"
He was so nonchalant she wasn't even sure he'd spoken or if it was just a creation of her imagination. She glanced up at him but he just stared straight ahead.
Hesitantly, she replied, "Sorry?"
"You're the one who has been dragging my son's name through the mud?"
"Usually I go by y/n."
"Oh, I know. I've heard all about you, y/n."
"Right." she pursed her lips, "Well, it's all worked out just fine, hasn't it?" she shrugged, nodding her head in the direction of the press conference.
“Hmm, for you.”
She drew back, looking up at the much taller man, “What’s that supposed to mean? I gave him every chance to leave, you are aware that PR doesn’t encompass transfers or contracts. I just broadcast what I’m told.”
“Y/n, I know what is best for my sons and I won’t have anyone getting in the middle of that.”
She frowned, what the hell did that mean? Before she could question his ambiguous statement, there was a flurry of excited voices and her head snapped back to the conference at hand.
Kylian nodded to a journalist, who stood up, "Kylian, pourquoi avez-vous pris la décision de rester à Paris?" Kylian, why have you made the decision to stay in Paris?
"Paris est l'endroit où j'ai grandi. Je tiens à cette équipe, c'est ma famille et je veux le meilleur pour eux." Paris is where I grew up. I care about this team, they are my family and I want the very best for them.
"Mais vous allez devoir quitter cette équipe à un moment donné. Pourquoi pas maintenant?" But you are going to have to leave this team at some point. Why not now?
Maybe y/n was going insane but she swore Kylian glanced at her before he spoke. Surely not. He hadn't called her. He didn't care about her more than her body. Of course, he was probably just looking at his father. But she just felt his gaze deep within her, like the ground beneath her was shaking.
"Je n'ai pas l'impression d'avoir terminé mon travail ici et j'espère encore accomplir davantage" he paused before adding, "avec mon équipe." I don't feel like I have finished my work here and there is still more I hope to achieve... with my team.
A few more questions were asked before the conference ended and they returned to the room next door. Y/n began to regather her files, "That was good, guys." she declared, offering a half-hearted smile, "I hope this puts it all to bed once and for all."
She nodded firmly before starting for the door; she headed out into the quiet corridor and let out a breath she wasn't even aware she'd been holding. It was like stepping out into fresh air, just being out of a room with him. His presence made her sweat and forget how to breath or think or speak.
"Y/n!"
And she couldn't breath again, and the temperature was rising, and she almost tripped over her own feet at the sound of his voice.
She snapped around, "What?"
"Wait."
She blinked at him and when he said nothing more, frowned, "Well?"
"Are you upset with me?"
"Of course not." she spat, sarcasm thick on her tongue.
"What did I do?"
She rolled her eyes and turned to leave again, "Just forget it."
"Y/n!" he yelled. When her pace didn't falter, he chased after her, catching up easily. He caught her arm and a flush immediately raced across her cheeks at the contact, "Y/n! Stop! Is this because I didn't call you after that night?"
"Forget it." she annunciated, still marching on.
"No, not if you're just gonna ignore me!"
She laughed bitterly, "That's rich."
"So it is because I didn't call?"
She spun around so abruptly that he almost crashed into her. "No, it's because you told me you were leaving! I wouldn't have fucked you had I known we were still going to have to work together! I'm mad at you because you lied to me!"
He didn't have time to reply as a door behind them opened and they both swiftly fell silent. Luis and Wilifried both walked out into the corridor, too deep in friendly conversation to notice the heated moment between y/n and Kylian.
She raked her eyes up and down him then quickly disappeared.

Hi!! I have a request for a fic in the future if you want to do it. Yn is an actor, same age that Mk and Ashley. He started acting at a very young age and the Olsen twins were like the only competition he had. When the directors casted the twins and yn, he didn't know It was gonna be like hell. They were mean to him and they tried everything to be more famous than him. Years later Yn was casted as( i don't know, Vision or another one) and he met his new costar, everything in his past came back, and he was mean to her for her sisters.
Sorry, too long I think but I have this idea I think you would do a great job if you want to do it.
Wow. This is my first ever request on Tumblr. Thank you so much nonnie for thinking of me. I hope I did a good job buddy
Why Do You Hate Me
Tumblr media
Elizabeth Olsen x Male Reader
Warnings: Angst. Fluff.
18+ MINORS DNI
Y/N Y/L/N was known for his earlier roles when he was a child, especially the roles he played in the movies he starred alongside the Olsen twins. Y/N was a timid boy and just wanted to be successful, but the twins made everything a competition. Deliberately making him screw up his lines. Tripping him up whenever they had the chance, or just being plain old mean to him by saying he sucks. He won't survive in the industry.
Although, that only encouraged him to do better in his career. Landing some major roles, especially joining the MCU as Vision. Although, the moment he met one of his co-stars, everything that he thought he had forgotten had come back to him.
"Hi, I'm Elizabeth Olsen, but you can call me Lizzie." She held her hand out for him to shake.
"Hi, Elizabeth, I'm Y/N Y/L/N." He spoke coldly, shaking her hand as he looked into her eyes. Seeing how much she looked like her sisters. His blood boiling at the memories.
As the time went on, his coldness towards Lizzie started to infuriate the woman. Especially when they started to film Civil War, having more scenes together. It wasn't until during the airport scene, one of the wires that held Y/N up as he flew, snapped. Halting the shoot as he collided with the floor. Groaning in pain.
"Are you ok?" Lizzie asked him as he just glared at her, moving away from her touch.
"Don't touch me." He snarled at her.
"I'm just concerned Y/N." She told him.
"Well don't be." He snarled as he sat up as Joe came running to him.
"Are you ok Y/N." Lizzie noticed how he didn't fight when Joe rested his hand on Y/N's good shoulder, deciding to get up and leave.
"I think it's dislocated." He told him as Joe signalled for the medics.
"We'll get you sorted out buddy." He told him with a smile as he helped Y/N to his feet. "We're done for the day guys. Thank you."
Lizzie was starting to get sick of how Y/N was treating her. How he would exclude her from every one of his conversation. Scolding her everytime she forgot a line, so she had done a stupid thing, she decided to get drunk. Only then she had the courage to confront Y/N. She marched to his hotel room, banging on his door.
"Elizabeth." He spoke quizzically, his arm in a sling.
"I need to talk to you." She slurred as she poked his chest, pushing passed him inside.
"Listen, I am tired and I don't care for this conversation." He told her as he gestured to the door.
"Why do you hate me?" She asked him shakily. He watched as tears formed in her eyes.
"I don't." He told her, guiding her to his bed. "You need to sleep and we can talk about this another day." He lay her down, helping take off her shoes before he grabbed her a bottle of water. "Drink this and sleep." He told her, getting up to get the trash can before he went to the sofa. Laying down himself.
"I don't understand." Lizzie mumbled sleepily.
"Maybe when your sober we can have that conversation." He told her softly, closing his eyes as he felt a heavy guilt weighing on his shoulders. He had made her feel how her sisters made him feel when they were younger. That wasn't who he was, who he should be. He was always kind and gentle, caring and selfless, but he has been the complete opposite to someone who could be his best friend. He turned his head in her direction, hearing her snores as she slept. "I'm sorry." He whispered before he tried to sleep himself.
As the next morning came around, Lizzie stirred awake. Remembering the events of last night, groaning as she sat up. Shocked to see Y/N enter the room with a paper bag and some water.
"Here, take these and then eat." He told her before he retreated back to the sofa. As the two ate in silence, he decided to break it. "I don't hate you."
"What?" Lizzie questioned, she could see how he had been kicking himself.
"I'm not sure if you remember me from working on those project with your sisters when we were kids." He told her as she looked closer at him. "They made my life hell whenever we were on set. They would make me screw up my lines and tell me I was worthless. I wouldn't make it in the industry. All sorts of things like that. I honestly thought about quitting when they said that I was too fat for the job, but then I used their slurs and used them. I forced myself into the gym everyday, I cut out fast food and somedays I actually forgot to eat because of it." He sighed as he sat back, his gaze never faltering from Lizzie's. "I'm sorry that I took it out on you, but when you told me your name, it brought everything back."
"Y/N." Lizzie tried as he just shook his head no.
"I'm sorry Lizzie." He whispered. "I made you feel how they made me feel and I was wrong to do that."
"Hey." She got up and sat beside him. "We can start a fresh if you want. Be friends?" She asked him as he just smiled at her, nodding.
"I would like that." He whispered as she smiled widely.
"Good." She smirked. "Well, since you are now the reason none of us have work until you're healed, let's have some fun."
As the weeks turned into months, both of them became closer. Best friends even. But that wasn't entirely something that Y/N ever saw happening, especially since they lived so close to each other. They would spend time in each others houses, watching movies or cooking together.
Over time, Y/N had realised that he has developed feelings for her. Unsure of how to pursue things, unsure if she even feels the same way. So, it wasn't until the cast decided to have a small get together, and Robert's idea to do 7 minutes in heaven.
"You don't have to kiss in the closet, you could just tell each other your deepest secrets since some of us are in happy relationships." He stated, placing the bottle on the table, spinning it and it landed on Scarlett. As the game went on, it was Lizzie's turn, as she spun it, it landed in between Y/N and Evans.
"I've already been." Chris smirked as he nudged Y/N's shoulder. Y/N nodded shyly as he stood up, following behind Lizzie and Robert.
"Remember, seven minutes guys." He told them before he closed the door on them. The closet was only illuminated by a dull light as the two were practically stood toe to toe.
"So." Y/N started shyly.
"We can kiss or you can tell me your deepest secret." She smirked as he choked on air. "One that no on knows."
"I feel like either way, you will find out a secret." He snickered shyly.
"So which is it?" She asked as she stepped closer. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before cupping her cheek. Gazing into her eyes.
"This is going to change a lot Elizabeth." He whispered as he leaned closer. Lizzie's breath was quickening at feel of his breath on her face. The smell of alcohol and cigarettes on his breath.
"I don't care." She whispered before he closed the gap. Kissing her with urgency, she gripped onto his collar before her hands went to his neck. His to her hips as he pushed her against the opposite wall. Her leg wrapping around his waist as their tongues danced together. His hand moving up her thigh to her ass, squeezing it and causing her to grind against his crotch. The two moaning and panting as he moved his kisses to her neck, sucking and biting softly as she continued to grind.
"Time's up!" They heard Robert bang on the door. The two pulled apart with dialated pupils before fixing themselves. Making sure they don't look like they were about to have sex in their friend's closet.
Lizzie grabbed Y/N's hand as she left the closet. Pushing him to sit down before getting on his lap. Smirking as the two continued the evening with their friends. Anticipating what the future has in store for the two.

5 Questions I've been pondering since reading the Parade mag article on JL
A couple weeks ago, I shared an article in Parade magazine that came out in early 2023 featuring John Larroquette. In the interview, they covered a lot of new info, in addition to promoting the new Night Court series, which was set to premiere its 1st season when the article was published.
Ever since reading that interview, I've had a few thoughts and a few questions that have stayed with me. And now I feel like the only way to exorcise these thoughts and questions from my mind is to share them here:
It seems like John and Elizabeth, his wife, relocated from California to southern Washington state shortly after the filming on The Librarians wrapped in 2017. (The article mentions they moved there 5 years ago, and 2023 minus 5 is 2018.) My question: Did they plan to move there regardless of whether or not the show got picked up for a 5th season? I know it's none of my business, and I can see JL fitting in with the area -- it is beautiful up there -- but I'm just curious was it to be closer to his then-job? Or was it just a new found appreciation for the Pacific Northwest?
In the article, he mentions a lot of his former cast mates had passed away over the years, including Harry Anderson, Charles Robinson, Markie Post, and Kirstie Alley. I can't help but notice that he once again didn't mention Richard Moss. My question: Does anyone know the story behind the two of them falling out? Is it mentioned anywhere? Or is it just hearsay? Why didn't they get along? I ask because I was/am a fan of them both, and it kind of sucks that they never reconciled before Richard passed away. [Upon re-reading this, I remembered that Richard was still alive when JL did that interview, so it makes sense that he didn't mention him in that context. But I still have those questions because I'm nosey. 😉]
They described how JL likes to spend his free time at home, and much of what they mentioned matches what we've heard in the past. But they also claimed that John likes to narrate plays in his home recording studio. My question: Is he narrating these for fun? Or is it for a job that he's been hired to do? And if it's the latter, are these audio recordings for sale? And if they are, where can we buy them?
He mentions his kids during the interview: Lisa, Jonathan and Ben. I know he worked with Ben on The John Larroquette Show when he was just 9 or 10 years old. And he's "technically" working with him now on the new Night Court. And he's worked with Jonathan on one of the McBride movies. I think Jonathan worked on the music for McBride: Requiem, which incidentally is my favorite of the McBride films. My question: Has he ever had an opportunity to work with his daughter Lisa? And if so, was it on an acting project that he was a part of like he did with his sons? I know she's a graphic designer, so that might be a little different than bringing on your sons to act or create music, but it would be nice to know if he's invited her to work with him in the past as well.
He acknowledged that he's lived a long and successful life for someone who grew up where he did and the culture he grew up in. I love these little tidbits and glimpses into his life, but of course, it begs My final question: Has anyone ever talked to him about writing an autobiography? Or would he ever consider someone else writing his biography for him?
OK. That's it.
Now my brain can return to its regularly scheduled program.

Um...I accidentally deleted an anonymous ask post (I posted it too early lmao)
So anon, if you're reading this, this is for you!! And also thanks for going through my page lmao
So, why does William favor Evan over his siblings?
1. They both look extremely similar:
Nowadays, it's common to see people hc Mike as the Will lookalike, and I really like that too!
But back then, the only one who could've immediately be guessed as William's child was Evan. Both had the PALEST skin of the family (this is saying a lot considering they're British!!)
Both had kind of nerving eye colors (Will's is an icy blue that was basically almost white, and Evan somehow developed fully bright green eyes) dark eye bags, scruffy hair that always just kind of looks...like that no matter how much they try to fix it, and of course, skinny as hell!
2. Similar upbringing (aka, trauma!):
Considering they both look kind of like corpses, and they act really...um....abnormal by society standards of their time, it's no wonder they're considered outcasts! William's dealt with bullying and abuse throughout his life (it also doesn't help that he didn't have anyone on his side since I headcanon him as an orphan lol) and Evan is literally going through it right now! (He just sees himself in him) So William latches onto his youngest son more and serves as Evan's 'guide' and 'mentor' (notice the quotation marks?)
3. He can't really attach himself to anyone else in the Afton Family lmao:
Okay, him and Michael are literally polar opposites, and if they weren't related and were the same age Mike would totally bully him and Will would want him dead 😭 (Mikey is a popular, mean kid and Will...was just mean!)
And unfortunately, William kind of sees Michael as an inconvenience (since he is a college mistake...Wear condoms guys, and also if you have the option for child support and you're not interested in raising a kid, please take the opportunity and don't be abusive like Will turnt out!!)
And also, he isn't at all attached to Elizabeth or his wife. Clara because well, he doesn't love her. Sure she's pretty and all but he prefers to be by himself. Being married to her was basically kind of an obligation in his mind? (Henry talked him into getting a relationship with her and his yet-to-be born son 😬) and for Elizabeth, again he just doesn't really care for her. (Her looking the most like Clara did not help in going his favor, no matter how hard she tried to please him :( )
4. He was easy to control (man, who would've thought he sucked as a father for all his children?)
His other kids were not as easily manipulated (Michael had the logic and experience to know not to trust him, and Elizabeth had Charlie and Mike to keep her on the right path no matter how much she tried to steer)
Even Clara would put her foot down if he did or said something off. But Evan on the other hand? He's the perfect son, always obedient, always trusting, he's a sweet little doll! (Which is precisely what William thought of him 😞)
And plus, no one else was on Evan's side at all, and according to William, people like themselves must stick together to achieve greatness no matter what (and the only person he knew he could trust/relate to was his father.)
So yeah, Evan's weak-willed self was a prime target for William's abuse. How charming! (Kind of like a Quasimodo and Frollo relationship?)
Anyways, that's it! (Probably, I'm very certain I missed one or two reasons, curse me and my lack of notes!!) If you have questions, fire them away!

Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus thoughts
Tumblr media
The only things I liked about Rick Riordan books(though to be fair I stopped reading once we got to the Roman versions part, lost interest):
Artemis and her bad ass team of immortal huntresses
Luke Castellan( Luke and his mom deserved so much fucking better than what they got. And honestly I would have chosen his side of the war. The gods suck! But I wouldn't have listened to Kronos either)
Zoë Nightshade(Her death hurt so much!)
Nico and Bianca Di Abngelo(but I hate what they mean for Hades and Persephone's relationship. No way in HELL would Hades cheat!)
Rachel Elizabeth Dare( so ship her with Percy. Hate how she ended up in the books and I over all hate book Annabeth). She was so badass! She threw a hairbrush at Luke/Kronos and lived! A normal human running with demigods and was an artist!!! Loved her. I hate hate! What they did to her in the books.
Hades! I love love Hades in the books. His whole story with Nico and Bianca made me so sad. But at the same time HE WOULD NEVER CHEAT ON PERSEPHONE FOR ANYTHING!!!
Hestia, she was so adorable and cool! I loved her!
Calypso(again I stopped reading after the first Roman gods version book. I lost interest so this is all my knowledge of her and ships) her whole storyline with Percy and her island made so fucking sad. And I wanted Percy to stay with her so bad! I know he wouldn't but god the pain!
Thalia Grace(you can just tell that Titans Curse and The Battle of the Labyrinth were my favorite books out of the whole series) she's badass and than becomes a badass Huntress of Artemis.
Daedalus(I had a weird crush on him in the book. Not gonna lie) his over all story was my favorite of The Battle of the Labyrinth. So tragic and sad. I just really love his character.
Percy Jackson. He was a loveable idiot. Gave me so many Ariel vibes. Hated him with Annabeth soooo much. Would ship him with basically anyone else! Anyone! But while reading the books I hard core shipped him with Rachel very badly.
And those were the only things I liked about the books. Over all the books quickly made me lose interest. Especially when the Roman god versions came in. Plus too many characters I didn't care about to keep track of. The gods besides the ones I listed all fucking sucked. What happened to the kids and teens were so unfair and the way the mythology is written is so messed up at times.
(Don't like don't read. Post hate and I'll block you)

MORE THOUGHTS AND DEVELOPMENT (If ya can even call it that) FOR MY DADTRAP AU
I’ve done a lil more hyperfixating researching, and I can now officially say I know almost all the basics about the fnaf timeline and lore!!! And I seriously mean the basics. To keep William/Springtraps goals consistent for this AU, there might be sliiiiiighty less child murder than there is in canon. Just an itty bit less. But who knows.
The AU’s story hasn’t all been figured out but I’ve got Springtrap’s character pretty much down!
Springtraps personality
Extremely low empathy.
Too much pride to admit fault.
Secretly hates himself 👍
Genuinely cares about his kids but sucks at showing it or even recognising this fact for himself.
Doesn’t understand people or how in the world they think and especially feel.
Despite not understanding people he’s a surprisingly great manipulator.
He acts entirely on logic and reason rather than emotions.
Is aroace (doesn’t know) and only got married to get his abusive parents off his back.
Probably autistic. (I didn't even decide this cause I'm autistic and want more representation. It's just the way I've written him that gives him super big 'tism vibes)
Feels closer connection to his robots than humans or animals.
Has chronic pain and fatigue after getting springlocked yay!
Has always felt disconnected from other humans even when he was one himself.
Has never had hot chocolate made with milk before. Only water. That's how you know he's a psychopath.
Story changes and William’s motivations
These are all just concepts and stuff might change. Right now almost everything plays out mostly the same as it does in canon. The pizzeria, the 5 dead kids that possess the animatronics, etc etc. One problem I’m having is what I’m gonna do with Charlie/Puppet. I know she was William’s business partner’s daughter, and William killed her, and she possessed the Puppet. But I don’t think anyone really knows WHY he killed her. And it’s kinda important I know for this AU to make sense- So either I’m just gonna have to come up with a reason that fits, or she just straight up doesn’t die. Most likely Charlie will still die and possess the puppet. We shall see tho! :]
The main changes in this AU will be Williams motivations and his actions. He’s still a kid murderer. But he doesn’t go killing all the kids simply because he can, or because he’s seeking immortality for himself, or any of the supposed reasons he killed the kids. My idea right now is Elizabeth, Williams daughter, was suffering from a terminal illness with only a few months at most to live (What illness I dunno but I don’t think it matters that much)
William wanted to be a good father for even just once and began seeking ways to somehow save her. He eventually discovered that someone could essentially be made immortal by stuffing their dead body into an animatronic, and they would “live on” with their soul possessing it. I’m not sure how exactly the idea came to his head. Maybe the crying child possessed Golden Freddy after the chomp malfunction and gave William the idea to test the theory some more. And he thought if it works, he can freakin stuff Elizabeth’s dead body into an animatronic and “save” her that way. As I said these are all ✨concepts✨ so there will probably be plot holes and plenty of questions of “how this” and “why that” But it wouldn’t be Fnaf without all that would it? gjdgfkfgfjh
Elizabeth will probably still end up possessing Circus Baby, but how she does will most likely be different. Maybe Elizabeth finally succumbed to her illness, William wasn’t expecting it this soon and he didn’t build any kinda robot for her ready, so he shoves her into Circus Baby without thinking while he had the chance, and that’s pretty much all I got so far!! :D
Changing William/Springtraps motivations affected the entire story a lil bit more than I was expecting but hopefully I shouldn’t have to adapt too much more-
I haven’t done anything really beyond fnaf 2 so maybe expect something past that soonish!!

Old Soul - The First Avenger
This is the second chapter for my captain america/bucky barnes fic (full story on wattpad, l0velyrand0m). Posting the second chapter to see if i get any interest, if so i'll continue posting, but the main story is linked below.
The first chapter is also pinned at the top of my blog <3
Tumblr media
"Hey there, grumpy," Bucky said, finally catching up to Eliza as she strided confidently down the street. "Mind if I walk with you?"
"Screw you, Bucky," she retorted in reference to the "grumpy" comment. She wasn't grumpy, she was pissed off. And she had every right to be.
"Maybe later," he replied, making her scoff. "Look, remember earlier when I said you were twenty-four? So he couldn't control you? Same goes for him."
"But I'm protecting him, Bucky," she strained, tears threatening her eyes. She sucked in a deep breath. Elizabeth Rogers didn't cry. "There's a difference. He's gonna get himself killed."
And then it hit him. Why Eliza had been so adamant about Steve's enlisting. About his lies. About his sacrifice. She was scared to lose him like she'd lost the rest of her family. And to an understandable extent - she would be alone.
"Lizzy, look," Bucky said softly, taking her hand in his. "It's gonna be okay. I swear to you. They're not gonna take him. He's not physically capable of doing that. But if you don't take this position. You're gonna regret it."
"I know," she sighed. "He'd be mad-"
"No, Liz," Bucky stopped her. "He's gonna be so proud of you."
Eliza raised her head and looked at Bucky in the eyes. Her own brimmed with hot tears that threatened to spill. Her lip trembled.
Bucky took her in his arms as she let out a small sob. "I can't lose him too. I can't lose either of you."
"Neither of us are going anywhere, doll. You gotta believe in us."
•••
"Welcome to camp, Miss Rogers. I'm Chester Phillips," the colonel said as he took Eliza's hand, and shook it firmly.
"It's an honor, Colonel," she replied.
"This is Agent Peggy Carter, she's here to supervise the division."
"Basically, I'm your boss," she said with a genuine smile. Her accent caught Eliza off guard at first, but it was certainly nice for the ears. "But somehow I think you'll be the only other competent person in this camp."
The Colonel walked away, leaving Peggy and Eliza to walk to the different tents.
"As the division's mobile nurse, you'll hang around me and take care of the boys as you see fit," Peggy explained, handing Eliza a clipboard with some personal files on all the soldiers.
The two girls came up on a line of soldiers waiting for their orders.
"Recruits, attention!" Peggy yelled, grabbing everyone's attention. "Gentlemen, I'm Peggy Carter. I supervise all operations for this division."
"What's with the accent, Queen Victoria?" one of the men shouted, a sly smirk on his mouth. "I thought I was signing up for the U.S. Army."
"What's your name, soldier?" Peggy requested, calling out the special soul in the crowd, this made Eliza snicker quietly. She'd gathered enough information on Peggy in the few minutes she'd been talking with her to know what was going to happen to the guy.
"Gilmore Hodge, your majesty," he said sarcastically.
"Step forward, Hodge," Peggy instructed. And he did so, smirking. "Put your right foot forward."
"Hmm," he hummed. "We gonna wrassle? 'Cause I got a few moves I know you'll like."
Peggy punches Hodge hard in the face, causing him to physically inch back a couple paces, clutching his nose.
"Agent Carter," Colonel Phillips says as he drives up.
"Colonel Phillips," she greeted.
"I see you're breaking in the candidates. That's good!" he turned to Hodge, who was still very much in shock from Peggy's surprise introduction. "Get your ass up out of that dirt and stand in that line at attention 'til somebody comes tells you what to do."
"Yes sir," Hodge apologizes quickly, running back into line.
Phillips now turned his attention to the recruits in line. "General Patton has said that wars are fought with weapons, but they are won by men. We are going to win this war because we have the best men..." Phillips trailed off as he noticed one of the men were shorter, much more frail looking than the rest. Eliza felt a pit grow in her stomach as she looked down at her clipboard and sifted through the pages.
Steven Grant Rogers
Brooklyn, New York
07/04/1918
Her head shot back up as she scowled at her brother, making dead eye contact as Phillips spoke. He finally took notice, cringing as she burned a hole in his head with her angry gaze.
"But every army starts with one man," Phillips says, catching Eliza's attention again. "By the end of the week, we will choose that man. He will be the first in a new breed of Super Soldiers."
•••
"Are you crazy?!" Eliza reprimands as she follows Steve to his barracks. "What the- What did I tell you? Did that whole angry outburst mean nothing to you Steve?"
"It meant you don't believe in me."
"Oh for Christ's sake, stop doing this. Stop putting words in my mouth. You're being very unreasonable right now."
"Sometimes I wish you would swear, so I could tell how you really felt."
"Oh trust me, I'd get us both kicked out of this camp if I was swearing right now. I can't believe you!"
"I don't wanna hear this."
"Well you're gonna!"
"Rogers!"
"What?" the twins said in unison as they turned to look at Peggy Carter.
"Agent Carter, I apologize," Eliza spoke quickly.
"Me too," Steve added.
"Okay.. Elizabeth, come with me. You.. off to wherever you need to be. Bye now," Peggy waved him off. "What was that?"
"Nothing. Unreasonable patient," she shrugged.
"I can tell the Colonel to have him sent-"
"No! Well..." Eliza had to think about her next words very carefully. Or there was a good chance she wouldn't be speaking to her brother any time soon, and not just because he was now in the military. "No. It's fine. I'll speak with Erskine about it later. What did you need?"
"Hodge is in the infirmary and requests that you look at his nose," Peggy said with a roll of her eyes. "He's fine, I didn't punch him that hard."
Eliza chuckled, "Yeah, I'm sure. I'll be over there as soon as I can. Thank you."
"No problem," she replied. "We leave in about fifteen for a bit of running practice for the men. You have to come to make sure none of them keel over and die."
"One of em might," Eliza muttered bitterly.
"Pardon?"
"Nothing. Gotta go attend to the crybaby, I'll see you in ten."
Eliza rushed to the infirmary tent, ducking through the opening to see Hodge complaining to one of her assistant nurses about his nose and the tiny trickle of blood that trailed down his upper lip.
"Gilmore Hodge, my pleasure," Eliza strained. Ever since his little theatrical performance, she decided she didn't much care for Hodge.
"How-do-ya-do, doll?"
The term felt weird hearing it from his mouth. The last person to call her that was Bucky. Whom she was beginning to miss ever since he left after their walk only just about a week ago.
"It's Nurse Rogers, for you, Hodge. Please," she told him.
"How about Lizzy? Liz?"
"Absolutely not. We're done here. Shut your mouth before I get Phillips to send you home. Got it?"
"Spunky. I love it. We'll talk soon, Liz," he says as he got up and walked out.
She was livid with the man. The audacity to take her name. Her nickname from Bucky, and drag it around so carelessly. Somehow, it hurt much more than she expected it to. Bucky was her best friend, and basically an older brother to the two. When he told her not to let anyone call her any derivative of "Liz" or "Lizzy" back when he coined the nickname in the first place... it made her want to punch Hodge. Right where Peggy had before.
But she didn't have time to chase him down just to scold him. He'd enjoy that. And she wasn't going to give him the time of day.
She took in a deep breath, packed her kit, and headed towards Peggy in the jeep next to the starting point of the recruit's run.
"So how was Hodge?" Peggy asked. "Dream man?"
"I'll kill him myself if he doesn't do so in the trench," Eliza chided.
"Oh damn," Peggy smiled. "I love your attitude. I can tell how well working with you is gonna go."
Eliza smiled at Peggy with a feeling of worth.
This was the start of a wonderful friendship.
•••
"That flag means we're only at the halfway point," Sergeant Duffy explained, his voice extremely loud. Eliza wondered how his vocal cords still worked at this rate. "First man to bring it to me gets a ride back with Agent Carter. Move, move!"
Eliza sighed. "Don't worry," Peggy said, leaning over so she was heard. "No one's come close to getting that flag in 17 years I've heard. No one's getting a ride back with us."
"Rogers! I said fall in!" Sergeant Duffy yelled. Eliza whipped her head around to see her brother pull a pin at the bottom of the pole. The pole toppled over, the flag brushing against the ground about seven feet from him.
He strolled over, unhooked the flag, and handed it to Sergeant Duffy (who looked as if he'd seen a ghost) with a small "Thank you, sir". He climbed in the car and sat on the other side of Peggy, who was grinning uncontrollably and watching the Sergeant's reaction with glee.
The others continued running off, and the car drove away.
"Smartass," Eliza mumbled. Steve caught her word however, and his face dropped. He leaned back in the seat and let his hands fall in his lap.
"Don't let her get to you. She doesn't like anyone in this division," Peggy told him. "That was rather clever of you."
"Thank you, ma'am, but I don't think that's why she's upset with me."

Any reca where after the first time the mcs have sex, either of them are like “eh I dunno that was mid” so the other one is determined to fix that?
I’ve seen it happen once.
Well, I will say that I just finished The Mistress Experience by Scarlett Peckham, coming out 6/25. It's SO SO GOOD, can't recommend it enough, and it focuses on a sexually inexperienced (not virginal) hero who hires the heroine, a famous courtesan, to teach him how to be good in bed for when he gets married. Obviously, their first couple of encounters aren't GREAT and there's some really interesting stuff done regarding experience and stuff. SO GOOD.
Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole has the virginal Conrad Wroth get with Neomi, a former burlesque dancer who's super experienced. I don't even think he makes it inside her the first time lol and he's very UGH OH NO I SUCK and she's like petting his head very understanding all "don't worry bb you'll figure it out". It's actually quite cute.
Actually, in Kiss of a Demon King by Kresley Cole when Rydstrom takes Sabine's (technical) virginity she REALLY doesn't like it. She's not like... traumatized? But he's very caught up and she's like telling her sister "well, NEVER doing THAT again". (She does that again.) Rydstrom is an AAAAALPHA so he's like "well I am in fact going to make her come five billion times".
A Rose at Midnight by Anne Stuart (which is, to be clear, a dark historical romance with dubcon between the leads at first) has a variation of this. She's pretending to not be into it but she is (though she doesn't come the first time because she's trying to enjoy it and is angry that she's enjoying it) and he's like... devastated by the fact that he came REAL FAST (after telling her he wouldn't lmao) and she didn't and SHE HAS THE UPPER HAND!!!! They're both kinda morons in love I love them. He is determined to get that upper hand lol.
In Nobody's Baby But Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, they have very mid sex twice (where he's actively like "I don't even know why??? I want to have sex with you so badly???") but after she gets pregnant, very much by her design, and he forces her to marry him (lmao) he does eventually resolve to fuck her good.
His at Night by Sherry Thomas has a very sort of like... quick and ouch first time, and there's a lot of resentment between them, but he does make it up to her for sure after being like "yeah I flubbed that".
Bass-Ackwards by Eris Adderly has a very WEIRD kinda coercive first time wherein the heroine gets fucked over her boss's desk in exchange for some PTO (and he's like in the moment all "can I fuck your ass" and she's like "I guess???" which was a choice) and then later he actually tries to give her good sex lol.
Act Your Age by Eve Dangerfield has a variation on this wherein the hero and heroine have great sex throughout the book, BUT one of several elephants in the room is that he won't go down on her, and I thought that was dealt with in a really interesting way.
Run, Posy, Run by Cate C. Wells has a hero and heroine in a relationship at the beginning of the book that's really disconnected, and he honestly doesn't care to really give her good sex and she doesn't really know to expect it... And then he's tricked into thinking she's cheated, she goes on the run because he's a mafioso, he realizes he was tricked and chases after her, and realizes he needs to go back to the drawing room sexually as part of his efforts to get her back. And boy does he.
The Chief by Monica McCarty has the hero and heroine have sex in a situation where he didn't actually know it was her lol, and she was a virgin so it was a big surprise ouch deal, and then he couldn't even finish... So after they're subsequently forced to marry, he kinda has to fix it lol.
Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas has the infamous scene where Harry withdraws because he thinks he's causing Poppy agony (he's not it just hurt a bit and he freaked out and stopped and was all I'M A MONSTERRRR) and he basically ghosts and Poppy has to be like "YOU GET BACK HERE AND FUCK ME GOOD".

Hallmark’s Sense and Sensibility
Yes. YES. All I've ever wanted was an adaptation of Sense and Sensibility where Mr. Dashwood is white, Mary Dashwood is Black (or another race), so that the sisters are mixed and it causes even more tension between their older white half-brother and his wife.
As a mixed girl, I’ve been begging for this version of the story to be told.
I can't believe Hallmark is the one to do it, but I am ready and excited to watch.
Hmm... is Fanny mixed... is internalized racism going to be an issue for her too? If so, I am here for that.
Edward is Fanny's stepbrother... I don't think that was the case in the book. But I infamously hate Edward so maybe I just didn't pay close enough attention to him. (It's a change)
BONNETS. They have bonnets! They have natural hair (probably wigs but still, natural textures), and bonnets. I am actually super happy about the costuming so far.
Ok I might like this Edward... We'll see. We're not at the part where he makes me mad. But right now... he's ok.
"Right kind of woman" ok girl. Sure.
I really liked that scene between Mrs. Dashwood and Elinor, while Margaret played the pianoforte.
Oh Col. Brandon. Already smitten. I do have one complaint though: Mrs. Dashwood is supposed to be about 40, to make it so Col. Brandon being 35 offputs Marianne even more that he's close to her mother's age. But this Mrs. Dashwood (who I really really like so far) is being played as much older than 40.
YES CURLING RAGS. And am I crazy but are some of Marianne's clothes kind of leaning to wards 1820s transitionary styles? I sorta love that if that's the case.
OK Willoughby... ok. You cute. I love this "Who are you?" thing we got going on.
That painting of a Black man in Georgian-ish clothing. Someone remind me to look it up. I love the framing of this shot with Brandon and Willoughby, and the painting between them.
God I adore Mrs. Jennings. In generally but I really like this one.
God, fuck Willoughby. I always forget how much I hate him.
"A daughter." No no no you're supposed to say "natural daughter." Come on.
Oh poor Willoughby, what a coincidence he's called to London, while Brandon's already in London, dealing with an issue involving his "natural daughter." Such unlucky timing...
I can't wait to see Steele sisters. I hope their hair is blonde, so there's no doubt that the hair Edward has is NOT Elinor's. God. This is what I wanted from a S&S adaptation.
OOH the Miss Steeles are Black too! Ok. Ok. Fanny you absolute hypocrite.
OH MY GOD. THE PAINTING OF DIDO ELIZABETH BELLE IS IN THE BACKGROUND. Oh my god. I literally just squeaked. No random family would have that painting hanging, especially with the cousin cut out only showing Dido but STILL. And adding the fact that I once found an Amazon listing for an Austen novel using the cousin Elizabeth as the portrait and cutting out Dido (and also that the portrait is from 50 years earlier) made me so mad. This little easter egg of including Dido's portrait in this movie is like HEALING that specific moment's pain for me. Oh my god.
This adaptation, is far too good. It's so much better than I thought it would be.
Ah yes, the constant talk of "beau"s from Anne.
YES THE LOOP ON THE TRAIN.
This Lucy is diabolical. I don't think I remember her being so... almost mean. Annoying yes, but mean? Hmm...
Love all these Black paintings. I wonder if Juan will show up, though that's a Spanish painting not English.
Miss Jennings has white servants. Love it.
I think they made Robert worse.
"And I always keep my promises." You tell him. I thought I was going crazy earlier, that a song sounded kind of pop-ish. But they're playing Kiss From a Rose right now on a string quartet, so they're going full Bridgerton with this. I didn't want to accuse it earlier, but now I must.
Ugh. Willoughby.
MRS. FERRARS IS BLACK. FANNY YOU SUCK. You're giving us light skinned mixed girls a bad name.
Edward didn't want to be in the same room as his main and his side chick. I forgot about the Mortons. He's got 3 girls. This is why I dislike him. And I really think this movie ended up playing up Robert Ferrars' personality in a way I'm not sure I liked, he was always charming but I don't think he was this rude.
Ok Marianne. You're not wrong. But I don't remember that. It's been over a year since I last read S&S, I really need to brush up on it I guess.
Wasn't Eliza married to Brandon's brother and then cast aside? I really need to brush up. However, god I'm reminded of how much I love Austen.
Well I enjoy this Edward's embarrassment a lot.
Ooh Fanny. I don't like Lucy but do not call her a peasant.
Ok fine, point to Edward. I will concede that this adaptation is doing a good job of making the watcher feel for Edward. I still dislike him the most of all Austen husbands.
This is truly a great Elinor.
They've been so careful with having everyone in gloves. And now Edward is thanking Elinor, taking her hand, and no one is in gloves. I see you costume department, I see you.
Yessss loose hair moment.
Oh my god, I always love Col Brandon when he says he won't rest until he brings Mrs. Dashwood and Margaret. Every single adaptation. It makes me so emotional.
Wow ok. This version is a very good Edward, a very good Elinor, a very good Marianne, a very good Brandon. Even a very good Willoughby. I can't believe they really made me actually want to forgive Edward. I usually still am salty towards him by the end. That alone makes this pretty amazing.
Costumes were fun. A little bit crazy but honestly sometimes Austen adaptations don't go crazy enough with the costumes. Minus some fit issues with the empire waists (same issues that Bridgerton is plagued by) and some weird closures in the backs of some dresses, it was really well done costume wise.
And I was surprised that race was not as much of an issue as wealth, though I still think that Fanny and Mrs. Ferrars had some colorism issues in there.
Really my only issue with the movie is that they didn't make clear how old Brandon was compared to Marianne. And I have some concerns about Robert's characterization. That's really all I can complain about though.
Dare I say... that Hallmark somehow created... my new favorite Sense and Sensibility adaptation...

Day 8 | Advent Calendar Masterlist 🎄
Tumblr media
When your past co-stars decided to catch up for a Christmas dinner party when everybody for the rare chance was available, it was Robert's idea to do a secret Santa. Everybody loved the idea, and you were excited to see who you'd be buying for. You loved the team, they were like a second family to you, you knew everybody all too well so the stress of trying to find something for whoever you were to get didn't bother you too much.
Although as much as they were a second family to you, you were hiding a tiny little secret from them, from the world. It's new and it's beautiful but you and Elizabeth have been seeing each other as a couple. After working with her for a couple of years and trying your best to keep your little crush a secret, it was Lizzie who came to you and asked you out for dinner. She cooked for you both that night and admitted that you'd caught her eye the moment she met you on set. So, when Chris E handed you a folded scrap piece of paper and you opened it to see the name in black ink, you knew you wanted to get them something very special.
"Lizzie"
You tried your best to keep a poker face while Lizzie's name stared back at you from the piece of paper. Millions of ideas ran through your mind while you tried to think of the perfect gift for her. Even though the relationship was still new by 7 months, you really wanted to get her something very special.
The following two weeks your mind was racing with ideas, you even tried to pick at Lizzie's brain in hopes she'd drop a hint of something she thought was super romantic, but she gave you nothing. It was easy to pick at her with the excuse that Christmas was coming up, she didn't seem to think much of that after. It wasn't until late one night when you were lying in bed, tossing and turning, with idea after idea then it hit you. Lizzie for months has mentioned a book she'd love to have, an old book that doesn't get printed anymore. Even though it was almost 2am, you grabbed your laptop and started searching.
Keeping it a surprise from Lizzie was easier than you thought but you couldn't wait to see her face next week at the dinner party, probably the last one for the year and after that, you weren't sure when you'd be able to see everybody together again. Lizzie on the other hand couldn't help but tell you who she got as her secret Santa, Scarlett. She found finding a gift for Scarlett a little tricky as she was a hard person to shop for and Lizzie didn't want to get her something useless and settled for a day spa voucher for her and her husband.
After messaging what felt like countless sellers, you finally found somebody willing to sell the book Lizzie had been talking about. For a somewhat decent price, you took a day trip to pick up the book in person, rather than having it be lost in the post being so close to Christmas. You told Lizzie that you had a photoshoot job out of town and an interview to follow up with so she wasn't going to question why you randomly left town for the day. The seller was kind and when they noticed that you'd been in a few of their favorite movies they wanted to give you the book for free, but you insisted on paying the said price and even added a little extra for the holidays. The elderly woman was pleased to meet such a movie star and thanked you for being so kind.
The dinner party finally came along, you and Lizzie arrived together, hand in hand which almost instantly caught the eyes of your fellow friends. Robert being who he was, quickly pointed out the two of you with a wide smile while the others congratulated you both for "finally coming to your senses". You and Lizzie chuckled at the group for their jokes before taking a seat next to each other, Lizzie smiling softly as she placed a kiss on your cheek. After everybody had their main meal and were enjoying a few drinks, Chris E got the ball rolling and handed his secret Santa gift to Chris Pratt.
Anthony got Paul R, Hemsworth got Gwyneth, Pratt got Mark, Cobie got you, Lizzie got Scarlett, you got Lizzie, Robert got Jeremy, etc.
When it was your turn to gift your gift to Lizzie, you simply turned to her with a soft smile, "Merry Christmas, love" you handed her the book shaped gift in festive Christmas wrapping paper. Carefully Lizzie opened the gift, corner by corner, side by side and gasped when she saw the title of the book. "Honey! How did you get this?!" She looked up at you with a big smile, "with a little Christmas magic and plenty of tossing and turning" you joked with a chuckle. Lizzie gently flicked through the book with her smile staying glued to her lips, "thank you so much, honey! This is so thoughtful" she looked up at you once again before leaning over and pressing a soft kiss against your lips, the table of close friends making it obvious they were glad to finally see you both together.

August Writing Challenge Day 13: Chandler/Cusack
AN: The thirteenth of August is Chandler's birthday. I decided that I'd gift him with his other half. This one is set after Arthur's death, the night that Ludociel and Elizabeth join forces.
Chandler was very pleased. They'd got Master Meliodas back. He'd took the role he was meant for; the Demon King. Or... he would. When they, his brothers, collected the commandments for him. Which left Chandler at a bit of a loose end. The witch was gone too; escaped and beyond his grasp. If what the master had said was to be believed, the witch and the runts he'd fought had teamed up with those cursed Archangels. And three of them would be challenge, even with his might. Hence, he was stuck here, keeping an eye on things.
“Got a problem there, Pacifier Fiend?” Here was one such thing. The Napping Reaper. The suck up to Prince Zeldris.
“None whatsoever.” And if I did I wouldn't tell you. Went through Chandler's head. He had no problems. Apart from being a little bored and stuck with his thoughts.
“You appear to be troubled.” The Napping Reaper was being pushy tonight. Chandler refused to whine. Meliodas was going to be the next Demon King. He was going to make sure of that. Even if that meant physically restraining the demon before him.
“I'm not troubled. But I should perhaps get some sleep. I wouldn't put it past those goddesses to attack at the crack of dawn.” Chandler made his way to his room without another word. The Napping Reaper didn't follow, didn't pester him further. Good. Chandler got settled in his bed. But no matter how much he tossed and turned, sleep wouldn't find him. He growled. He was not going crawling to that...! He tried for a while longer, sleep still evading him and forced himself to his feet. He headed along a corridor, sensing the presence of the one he sought out. He entered without even knocking.
“Rude as always, I see.” The Napping Reaper grumbled. Chandler ignored him, making his way over.
“Oh, I see. That's what's troubling you. You can't sleep.” He growled at the correct remark. He couldn't sleep; but that didn't mean the Napping Reaper needed to remind him of that fact.
“And for some reason when we sleep together we both manage to find sleep very easily.” There were some who would have taken the Napping Reaper's words to mean something considerably ruder. He'd heard the comments when people thought he wasn't listening. The sources quickly wound up dead. He and the Napping Reaper didn't have a relationship of any kind. Apart from a rivalry spawned from trying to get their prince to be the next Demon King. That they often shared a bed didn't mean anything. The Chastity often shared a bed and her commandment would curse her if she was to try anything of that nature.
“Well, haven't you got something to ask me?” Chandler glared. Like hell was he asking to climb into bed! He grabbed the covers and lifted them up.
“Hey! You can't just...” He could and did. He climbed in, getting himself comfortable. And taking up more than half the bed.
“Get out.” He rolled on to his side. He was used to this particular complaint. He also knew that as soon as he got comfortable and slid an arm over the Napping Reaper's waist the complaints would stop. He did that now, seeing the moment the Napping Reaper realised what he'd done.
“Come now, you know you want this as much as I do.”
“In that case, you can't want it very much.” Chandler knew the words were a lie. If he was to guess, the Napping Reaper wasn't doing much in way of napping either. Said demon had now settled, lying facing him, close enough that he could reach out to hold him. He refused to say he cuddled with the Napping Reaper. Even if it was all too common for the two of them to end up very close come morning, arms tangled around each other. Even if, to a casual observer who looked at the two of them in bed together, it would look like a pair of lovers.
“I wish I knew why this... relaxes me.” He agreed with the Napping Reaper on that one. Why did lying beside the other demon like this... feel so right? Almost like they were meant to be together. When they were lying like this... their hearts, all fourteen, beat in the same rhythm. The two of them couldn't stand each other and yet... they always slept peacefully in the other's arms. He smirked when he felt the Napping Reaper's arms slide around him.
“Careful. You're getting a bit grabby.” He teased; earning him a growl.
“You grabbed me first Pacifier Fiend.” Chandler knew he had, but... details, details. He was comfortable, he had a warm body cuddled up to him and he was relaxed. He could feel the familiar lethargy starting to set in and closed his eyes. Sleep found him as easily as it normally did, quickly dragging him under. If he felt the Napping Reaper's forehead resting on his before he dozed off, he wasn't going to say anything.
AN: Come morning... the two of them wake up, quickly scramble out of bed and pretend that didn't happen. Of course, they will find themselves in each other's arms the next time they can't sleep.

Do you have any Charlie/Charlotte headcanons?
I sure do!
Charlie Emily Headcanons!
🍕⚽️🎭 (yeah these emojis suck BUT THERES NO PUPPET EMOJI)
- I feel like she would've been a old music lover, totally got that stuff from her dad (not self projecting,,,🤥)
- She would say she's best friends with all the Afton kids! Although sometimes it feels like she's friends with the twins (Evan and Elizabeth) moreso by default/obligation,,, it was the little things that made her doubt their friendship (liz's violent behavior and evan's,,,undiagnosed autism that everyone just thought was him being a weirdo)
- She totally had a 'best friend's brother' crush on Michael when they were much smaller (think maybe, 7-8) she grew out of it thankfully lmao (Lizzie was likely disgusted whilst this phase was happening "It's Maikol!! He's desgustang!! 🇬🇧")
- Elizabeth was the dainty, princess friend whilst Charlie was the rough-and-tumble tomboy!! (Very stereotypical yes, but they worked well as a bestie unit) Of course this doesn't stop Lizzie from catching bugs with Charlie or Charlie having tea parties with Liz!
- Henry was also an overprotective father (not to the abusive extreme that William went to), but more of a "I don't want you hanging around *whoever Henry didn't trust*, you understand?" Which annoyed her severely
- After the bite, Henry slowly started cutting ties with the Aftons (he wasn't a good person back then,,,) which included forbidding Charlie from hanging out with Mike and Lizzie, this very much upset her and caused tension between her and Henry
- Her middle name is her mother's name (Barbara!) (Her mother also died at childbirth, something her and Cassie have in common lmao)
- She totally preferred Uncle William to her dad, she thought he was just cooler and mysterious (that definitely changed after her death)
- #1 pizza enjoyer, you wouldn't be suprised if we found out the only reason it's a pizzeria is because of her
- She wasn't particularly close with Evan, but she'd defend him with her life! (Sometimes she was more of a sister than Elizabeth was 👀) (Remember the incident that got Evan kicked out of school? She was there to back him up no matter what!!) (Can't say the same for Liz)
- So you can kinda see where she got the whole "lifting others into your arms thing"
- Whilst the other dead children lowkey hated the Afton kids because they were related to Will, she was the only one who obviously didn't have beef with them and pitied them instead
- Was a total sports kid, probably a soccer girl (she'd win everytime 😎😎)
- (if Lizzie and Charlie both lived they wouldve been William and Henry 2.0)
- Charlie's death was a complete accident, Will only killed her because he was having a real awful time (dead son, ruined reputation, business partner/ best friend kicking you out of your company,etc), and he totally snapped and str//ngled her to death ☹
- Charlie had a lot of time to reflect on her life once she possessed the puppet, she only wishes she could've appreciated her father more in life 💔💔
Thanks for asking! If anyone wants more just ask!
