a/n: I encourage you to give requests in the Christmas marathon! click here :) and my first thousand celebration
The London evening was bustling with energy as the premiere of Gladiator 2 rolled out its gold carpet. Stars and fans gathered in crowds, cameras flashed in the dazzling lights of the city. Charles Leclerc stood at the center of it all, looking effortless in an elegant black suit and clean white shirt that fit his figure perfectly. His hair was neatly styled, and his trademark charm was on full display as he posed for photos, but his attention was constantly drifting to one person: his girlfriend, [Y/N].
You were radiant in an almost transparent floor-length gown that clung to her curves in all the right places. The larger material was on her breasts and hips, while the rest remained a bright shiny mesh. Charles couldn't take his eyes - let alone his hands - off you.
"You're going to be the death of me tonight." - he whispered in her ear as they stopped for a moment away from the cameras. His hand rested lightly on her back, and his fingers traced the exposed skin on her back with a light touch that sent chills down her spine.
She smiled, looking up at him through her lashes. "Behave yourself, Charles. We're in a public place," he said.
"I can't," he muttered, his voice low and full of desire. "Not when you look like that.
The tension between the two of you was enormous, and it only grew as the evening progressed. When it was after the movie premiere and Charles had given all the interviews, he grabbed your hand tightly and winked: "I need you. Now”
"Here?" you asked, raising your eyebrows.
He did not answer with words. Instead, he led you discreetly down a quiet corridor, away from the crowd. He found a vacant bathroom and pushed open the door, pulling you inside. He closed the door carefully behind you and his hands were immediately on your hips. And your lips joined in a heated kiss.
"You're unbelievable," you breathed between kisses, your hands entwined in his hair as he pressed your back against the cool tile wall.
"I can't help it," he murmured, and his voice was quiet as his hands roamed your curves, sliding down to grip your thigh and lift your leg around his waist. "All I could think about all night was you.”
You moaned quietly as he kissed your neck, his teeth brushing against your skin just enough to make it tremble. His hand moved down your leg, pushing aside its thin material.
Charles smiled under his breath when he felt your wet thong, and smiled even more when he matured that they were the ones he had given you himself.
"Mon dieu," he groaned as his fingers glided over the wet material. "You are death to me."
Charles growled softly, his lips capturing hers in another fiery kiss as his fingers slipped inside her, curling just right. Her moan filled the small space, and he couldn’t help but smirk against her lips.
“You’re so ready for me,” he murmured, his free hand sliding up to cup her jaw as he kissed her deeply.
[Y/N] couldn’t form a coherent response, her body arching into his touch as he worked her with expert precision. Her nails dug into his shoulders, and the sound of her pleasure was like music to his ears.
“Charles,” you gasped, your voice breaking as he added a second finger, his thumb brushing over your sensitive clit. “Please.”
“Not yet, baby,” he teased, looking straight into your eyes.
Charles' fingers worked inside you with precision, coiling inside you and hitting just the right spot, while his thumb circled your clitoris in perfect rhythm. The combination of his touch and the way he watched you - his green eyes darkened with desire - made your orgasm come faster than you could have expected.
Your hips bucked impatiently against his hand as waves of pleasure hit you. Charles didn't stop moving his fingers inside you, and his lips placed gentle kisses on your jaw and neck as you came down from your orgasm.
„That was amazing” you murmured, kissing his lips in steamy kiss.
„That’s not the end” he responded. „Turn around for me pretty thing”
Obediently you turned toward the wall, moving more towards the mirror. You saw exactly how Charles stepped back just enough to undo his belt and pants, his movements quick and desperate. The sight of his ready and hard dick at your sight again amplified the wave of heat between your legs.
His hands slid down your sides, gripping your hips as he pressed against you, his erection teasing your entrance.
"Charles," you moaned, glancing at him in the reflection of the mirror.
The man kissed your shoulder, slowly guiding his member to your entrance. He gently lifted your leg, holding it with one hand. You didn't take your eyes off him in the mirror, and as soon as he pushed into you slowly, filling you inch by inch, his gaze also caught yours in the mirror.
The stretch was perfect, and the way he fit inside you, maybe too much, but exactly what you needed. When he was fully seated, he paused for a moment, his forehead resting on your shoulder as he tried to catch his breath and be reasonably quiet. After all, you had risked a lot by making love in a public restroom at a movie premiere.
"Fuck, you feel amazing." - he muttered, and you could hear the admiration in his voice.
You pressed against him, and your body was already even aching for him to move. "Charles, please."
That was enough for him to do everything she wanted. His hips began to move, his thrusts slow and deliberate at first, but quickly gaining intensity. The sound of skin touching skin filled the small bathroom, accompanied by your shared moans and heavy breaths.
One of his hands slid down to your front, and his fingers found your clitoris again and easily. You felt that you were moments away from the longed-for fulfillment that was to come a second time that evening.
"You're so perfect," he moaned, his voice strained as he pushed harder, deeper. "So fucking perfect.”
You looked in the mirror, perfectly seeing Charles enter and exit you. It was the best view and feeling you had ever experienced in your life. You were so perfectly matched that it was downright exaggerated.
"Come to me," he mumbled, brushing his lips against your ear. "Let me feel you."
His words accelerated your orgasm. You slid lightly across the mirror, one hand clinging to Charles. Your walls clamped down on him, accelerating his orgasm. Charles joined you, moaning your name as you felt his cum inside you fill you.
For a long moment you stood like that, trying to calm down. Charles continued inside you, but slowly came out and let you clean yourself up, and carefully fastened his pants himself, bringing them back into order. He also helped do this to you with your dress, placing gentle kisses on your body.
“You’re going to kill me one day,” he teased, his voice warm and affectionate.
You laughed breathlessly, turning to face him with a teasing smile. “You started it, Charlie”
“Well, you should have not worn that dress,” he murmured, placing his hands on your hips and pressing a kiss to your lips.
And even though you could hear knocking on the door all around you, and all that media hype a little further away, for you the world did not exist.
A/N: i swear!! charles and carlos looked so good at that premiere

Hey chat...
I literally have so many scenarios in my head it's killing me
Could you do a scenario where the reader shields Isha from the blast (or whatever) which results in her on the verge of death. How will jinx deal with it? And how will she save her
(I'm trying to cope with the loss of my baby Isha 😞💔)
Sure! Here ya go but probably sucks, haven’t wrote one of these in a while! Enjoy!
Heading photos made by @diana-foggy-master !
Sacrificial
You could only process what the girl was thinking when her small feet started running past you helping Jinx off the ground.
The familiar act was so hard to miss. It was like watching Powder all over again all those years ago the night everything went wrong.
You couldn’t handle it again.
“Jinx? Jinx- I’m so sorry.” You apologized to your lover on the ground. Jinx looked at you, confused with her face having splatters of blood drops. But she was so confused. What were you sorry for?
It only clicked when she saw you running after Isha into what she knew she would never get you back from.
“No- no!” Jinx cried out, getting up with the look of horror on her face when you ran. She tried reaching for you like you did her all those years ago, only to fall short. She lost you.
She lost you before you even got to the girl.
Isha was right within your grip, tears falling from your face as you knew you wouldn’t be coming back home to your lovers and your bed.
“Isha!” You yelled, reaching for her as she kept running, shoving gemstone after gemstone into Jinx’s gun.
“(Name)! Isha! No!” Jinx cried, trying her best to get to the both of you as Isha slid to the ground, moving just like Jinx taught her to as she finally got to Vander.
Jinx was caught by Vi, crying and blubbering as her heart and chest constricted at the thought of you leaving her with her mind.
What was she gonna do? She couldn’t fix this once it was done.
Isha had barely mimicked Jinx back at her, the little finger gun motion breaking your head. Isha wasn’t dying. This wasn’t how she was gonna say goodbye.
Isha lifted the gun to Vander, and by the look on his face as he saw you nearing you could tell he had no control over this. Just like back then.
Isha had barely closed her eyes, and you saw the smile on her face. She looked almost content to die. Like it was a release. You felt bad for taking it from her.
She barely pulled the trigger when you grabbed her, pulling her to your chest and curling around her.
Isha’s eyes shot open, panicked for a split second as she tried to push you away and out of there. But you were older. Stronger. The way you wished when you were younger to be like Vi.
You barely managed a smile to Isha as you held her, and even years later she could still hear your voice and see your smile as you whispered in her ear.
“You’ll be okay. Take care of her for me, will ya?”
The gun went off.
And you were gone.
The reaction was immediate. Isha didn’t feel you anymore. She was cold, your arms around her gone as she finally opened her eyes after praying to whatever god there was that you were okay.
Nothing.
Not anything of you was left behind.
All she heard was Jinx’s wailing, and her little heart dropped to her stomach at the realization.
You were gone.
Because of her. Isha took you from Jinx.
“Isha! Why- why would you do that?!” Jinx cried, even though she knew you’d hate to hear the words coming from her mouth but she couldn’t stop herself.
She pushed Vi off of her, running to Isha out of relief and anger as she searched for you to come up with nothing.
She grabbed the girl by her shoulders, crying and blubbering as she sobbed.
“Why would you- (Name)?! (Name)!” Jinx cried, yelling it out as she searched for you.
Isha had no idea what to do with Jinx’s anger but cry with her as she felt your absence.
Jinx wasn’t able to process this, and Vi could only watch as the one thing her sister held dear to her heart from when they were kids, you, was gone. Just like that.
Jinx’s sobs turned to wails as she felt her heart being ripped from her chest. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be.
You were supposed to be okay. Vander was supposed to come back. They were supposed to stay and be happy. Vi could even be there.
Jinx had her family back, and now it was all gone.
Her wails kept going, she gripped onto Isha cause she would be damned if she let her out of her sight for her to be taken to.
Her head fell to Isha’s shoulder, the girl's cries mixing with her own as Isha’s little fingers gripped onto her.
Jinx and Isha crumbled together on the floor, crying and sniffling and sobbing. What happens now? What comes next?
How can anything come next…when you’re gone?

“Well, part of the fun of shopping is picking out your own stuff,” you said, careful to leave the bite out of your voice. “And part of the fun of gift giving is surprising the receiver,” he said, kissing your temple. “I was trying to surprise you by having stuff you liked ready,” he added in a smaller voice.
God, Bucky really can twist everything his way 🥴
“You deserve it,” he said, sighing as he raked a hand through his hair. “I can't believe I won't see you tomorrow.” You glanced at him and noted the droop in his shoulders. He may have dismissed your feelings from time to time, but it wouldn't help you to dismiss his when you were stuck in a vehicle with him. “I know it'll be tough, but it’s one day and you do have a photo of me to look at if you’ll miss me.” Who knew what else he had since your place was bugged. “I do. I’ll probably look at it all day between work and other stuff,” he smiled, tilting his head toward you.
It's sweet but also a little bit creepy 🫣
“I think you’re one of the furthest things from a coward. Given the circumstances, you’ve been extremely brave,” he said. You didn't feel brave, but it was kind of nice to hear. “But one other favor? Don’t tear your place apart looking for the bugs either.” You practically threw your arms up in the air, his compliment of you forgotten. The man was beyond exasperating. “Oh, come on! You’re giving me the day to myself, but I still have to stay in the city and I can’t get rid of the bugs?” You smacked his chest before you could stop yourself. “Your compromises suck, do you know that?”
For real!
That cut his laughter short, but his eyes still sparkled with amusement. “Now we both know you’d donate my clothes before throwing them out. At least make your threat credible.” “I… Okay, no, I wouldn't throw them away,” you said, smacking his chest once more when he looked like he’d laugh again. “But you may be onto something with donating. Maybe I'll donate your first editions to someone, too.” “You wouldn't.” He tapped the tip of your nose, sending more fire through your veins. “You’re not the vengeful type.” Grabbing his wrist before he could pull away, you lightly bit his finger and drew a sharp gasp from him. “I might just surprise us both.”
Oh, don't threaten me with a good time 😌
He pulled back, his breathing ragged and a glazed look in his eyes. “I’m not a monster. I’m not,” he whispered, rubbing a hand over his face. You braced yourself against the wall as he turned to leave, pausing to look over his shoulder. “I’ve just never wanted or needed anyone like you. I’m… I’m trying.”
🥴🥴🥴
Curling up on your bed next to the bag, you whispered, “Once again, you win.”
Would luck ever be on your side when it came to him?
This really broke my heart 💔
Had Bucky carved out a place for himself so deep in your core that everything went back to him? Was this how he went about his day? Did he see something or do something and his mind just went to you? How did one function when someone else constantly invaded their thoughts?
This is haunting 🥴🫣
“And it’s nice to finally meet the lady who has James Buchanan Barnes so enamored.” Your heart thudded in your chest, turning to face him. He had a knowing smile on his face, like he knew you were either afraid or worried. “I’m sorry. Do I know you?” “I don't believe you do. How rude of me to assume.” He extended a gloved hand toward you. “Helmut Zemo. James and I work together on occasion.”
Oh 👀
He shrugged a bit. “I may have bribed someone or two. Nothing for you to trouble yourself with.” Your stomach plummeted. What was wrong with these men?
For real!!
You bent over, taking a few deep breaths like he instructed. “You said I can do this, but I don't know if I can, Ray. I’m not brave,” you said in a small voice.
🥺🥺🥺
Bucky didn't have anything to fear. He was a king who ruled his city and decided what to do with the peasants. You didn’t ask for him to entangle you in anything of his, the peasant that you were. You just wanted to survive at this point.
I feel for her 🥺💔
Ray shook his head. “He’s in a mood and he misses you,” he replied. You pushed the guilt away. Bucky had to learn to handle time apart.
Urgh but Bucky has already weaseled himself into her mind 🫣🥴

For his part, Bucky behaved once you were back in the shop. He waited patiently while you tried on a couple of the dresses and didn't attempt to go back into the dressing room or force you to come out and model them. You were thankful for that since there wasn't anything to jam under the doorknob and you didn’t need him to corner you again. Who knew how much he’d push the envelope the next time.
Before you went to the counter, you grabbed a cardigan from a rack. “This, too, please” you said, handing it to the associate. It would be nice to have in case you got cold at the vineyard.
“Of course,” she smiled, ringing it up with the other garments and accessories selected.
Bucky eyed the cardigan with a small smile. “That looks warm and comfortable,” he commented, sliding a card across the counter. “I should’ve remembered that,” he said almost to himself.
You didn’t miss the glance from the associate, making you feel as small as Bucky’s voice sounded. Of course, he made himself look like a doting boyfriend and your comment made you sound ungrateful. “It was a really nice gesture and I loved the dresses selected. Thank you,” you said. He showed that he knew and liked your taste like a caring partner would do. “But maybe during the next shopping trip I can go through and pick everything out myself?” It would give you some sort of autonomy.
“Sure,” he smiled, likely happy at the prospect of there being a next time.
You mumbled a thank you to the associate before Bucky carried everything out of the store, not at all ashamed to carry stuff for his girl. Another doting boyfriend gesture. He even refused to let Ray take the garments from him when he held the door open. Nor did he let his bodyguard help you into the car.
“I didn’t spoil you as much as I wanted to, but it’s a start,” he smiled once you both got settled in.
“Yeah, it is,” you said. In your eyes, he spoiled you plenty. “I really do appreciate it. I’m not used to someone wanting to spoil me.”
Past boyfriends didn't care enough to do nice things like that. The last girl Bucky dated tried to steal from him, but did she demand shopping trips? Maybe he was simply happy to spend his money beyond you being his girl because you didn't expect or ask him to.
“You deserve it,” he said, sighing as he raked a hand through his hair. “I can't believe I won't see you tomorrow.”
You glanced at him and noted the droop in his shoulders.
“Do you think you could do me a favor?”
You eyed him suspiciously. “Depends on the favor,” you replied. God, did he want you to send him an explicit photo of you or something?
He made sure he was looking you in the eye. “Don’t run tomorrow. Don't leave the city,” he stated.
You blinked. The man wasn’t psychic, so how could he possibly know you thought of doing that very thing? At least, to get out of the city earlier than the girls trip. Was your poker face that terrible? “You think I’ll run?”
“I think part of you wants to try. Not even because you want freedom, but because you want to rebel against me and take back some control,” he replied. For his part, he didn’t sound upset. “But I think you and I both know you either won’t get far or you won’t end up running at all.”
You opened and shut your mouth. You wanted to. God knows you wanted to get far away. “Do you think I’m a coward if I don’t try?” You weren’t sure why his opinion on the situation mattered since he was the cause of it all.
“I think you’re one of the furthest things from a coward. Given the circumstances, you’ve been extremely brave,” he said. You didn't feel brave, but it was kind of nice to hear. “But one other favor? Don’t tear your place apart looking for the bugs either.”
You practically threw your arms up in the air, his compliment of you forgotten. The man was beyond exasperating. “Oh, come on! You’re giving me the day to myself, but I still have to stay in the city and I can’t get rid of the bugs?” You smacked his chest before you could stop yourself. “Your compromises suck, do you know that?”
His eyebrows shot up. “Did you… did you just say my compromises suck?” He threw his head back, his laughter filling the car. “Your insults are just as adorable as you are.”
“Yes, that’s what I said and my insults aren’t adorable,” you said, your face hot when he kept chuckling. “And I swear if you find some sort of loophole to see me tomorrow, I will go to your penthouse and throw out all of your expensive suits for being a liar.”
That cut his laughter short, but his eyes still sparkled with amusement. “Now we both know you’d donate my clothes before throwing them out. At least make your threat credible.”
“I… Okay, no, I wouldn't throw them away,” you said, smacking his chest once more when he looked like he’d laugh again. “But you may be onto something with donating. Maybe I'll donate your first editions to someone, too.”
“You wouldn't.” He tapped the tip of your nose, sending more fire through your veins. “You’re not the vengeful type.”
Grabbing his wrist before he could pull away, you lightly bit his finger and drew a sharp gasp from him. “I might just surprise us both.”
Heat crept up your neck at the look in his eyes. “I have no doubt about that,” he whispered, holding the back of your head and closing the gap between you.
His lips were persistent against yours, but still soft. So was his tongue invading your mouth. You put a hand against his chest as he pushed further into your space, but he was an immovable wall. You should've known he’d take your action as foreplay. He would twist anything and everything you did in his favor.
His scruff tickled your cheek as you turned your head away to breathe, but the intake of air didn't slow your heart. “Did you know I’ve dreamt of moments like this with you?” His hand cupped your breast through your top as you shuddered. You were trapped once again, just like in the shop. “You riled up or flustered and you making me laugh? Just… little moments.”
“No,” you whispered, his thumb brushing your nipple until it hardened. Touching you, having you, yes, you knew he dreamt of those things. You knew he wanted a connection. Hearing how much he craved the little things made your head spin, too.
“Well, I have.” Before you could tell him to stop, his hand fell away. “I won’t bother you tomorrow,” he whispered, brushing his hair back and settling once again in his seat. “As much as I want to see you, I won't.”
You smoothed out your top and got comfortable again, too. The underlying tension didn't cease when he took your hand and you didn't flinch or pull away. He wouldn't try anything else. Not tonight. You just knew.
“Try not to run tomorrow, okay?” he asked.
You looked out the window and caught him looking at you in the glass, the semi distorted image an accurate description of your relationship. You knew it was off, that he was off. No one else would see it that way or just didn’t care.
“I’ll try not to,” you replied.
Whether it was cowardly to not try or stupidly brave to stay, you might just have to stay put.
You didn't say much for the remainder of the car ride. Bucky brought up the double date again with Steve and you didn't argue when he suggested a couple of places. Maybe you could figure out what Steve was doing to this girl and you could help each other out. At the very least, it would be nice to have a new friend who might understand a bit of what you were going through.
It was fucked up way to think.
Bucky managed to balance the books he purchased for you earlier that day as well as the clothes once Ray parked the car. “I can carry something,” you offered.
“I've got it, but thanks,” he said, refusing to let Ray help either. “And this way, I'll keep my hands to myself,” he added with a smirk.
You bristled, but recovered quickly. “I hope you have a good evening, Ray.”
He gave you a nod and what looked like a hint of a smile. “You as well.”
You were a bundle of nerves as you went into your building. You were close to having time to yourself, but Bucky was still going up to your apartment since he insisted on carrying everything. The elevator ride up was comfortably silent, but you saw the tension in his body once you got to your floor. He really didn’t want to let you go for a day.
“Thank you again for the books and the clothes,” you said, getting your keys out as he followed closely. He was practically breathing down your neck. “You can just leave everything in the entryway.”
He hummed, stepping inside once you unlocked the door. “You don’t want me in your bedroom?” he guessed.
“I think we’ve had enough excitement for today,” you said. Between kissing you in the shop and his car, you wouldn’t risk it.
He carefully set the books and garments down before he turned to you. In an instant, your back was against the wall and the sound you made muffled by his mouth. He moaned against your lips when you didn’t turn your head away, but you shoved his chest to get him away. You really thought he wouldn’t push anymore tonight. He promised. He…
He stopped.
“I know you are,” you whispered. And he wanted you to want and need him, too.
He smiled sadly and you almost reached out to soothe him, but you refrained. “Enjoy your day tomorrow,” he said.
The door shut before you could respond, leaving you in the silence of your apartment. A minute or two passed before you went to your room. Uncaring of the bugs around your place, you began to pack a few things in a tote bag with tears in your eyes. You wouldn’t leave tonight, but you’d be prepared if you wanted to go tomorrow. Who were you kidding, would you leave at all?
You blinked the tears away when you caught the photo of you and your friends on the dresser. It was foolish to think of escaping if it meant risking something happening to your loved ones. Addison and Brady. Dana. Your other friends. Mrs. Crandle. In the end, you would have to stay for them. Your life for their safety and continued happiness.
A small price to pay.
Curling up on your bed next to the bag, you whispered, “Once again, you win.”
Would luck ever be on your side when it came to him?
There were no texts from Bucky when you woke up the next morning. It felt… oddly quiet, but you weren’t sure if that was a relief or something you didn’t want to think about. Nothing was out of place in your apartment, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that you were still being watched thanks to the bugs. There were no gifts outside of your door. No breakfast. Just the quiet of your own thoughts as you went about your morning routine.
You smiled as you left the apartment, but it felt different today. Somehow lighter. It was as though normalcy wasn’t a burden, but a chance to breathe, to exist without your new “boyfriend” pulling the strings. The crisp morning air felt welcoming, and the walk to your favorite cafe was like a promise that today you could simply enjoy the time you had. The rich scents of coffee and pastries greeted you like an old friend, and for the first time in days, you felt a flicker of something close to peace.
“Most important meal of the day.”
You tried to push Bucky and his haunting blue eyes from your thoughts, but his absence lingered like a shadow you couldn’t chase away. He still followed you. Today wasn’t a day for lingering on what could happen tomorrow. Today was about you and small steps, about finding comfort in simple moments, and allowing yourself to breathe without the weight of uncertainty. And kindness to a stranger seemed like a good place to start.
“I’d like to pay for the person behind me,” you said.
"Thank you so much. You didn’t have to do that," the woman said, her surprise softening into a genuine smile. Something in her tone felt warm, like the simple exchange was more than just about paying for her coffee and pastry. It felt like a shared understanding, a reminder that kindness still mattered, and that it could still find its place in a world that often felt too heavy.
You couldn’t help but smile a little wider. “I wanted to,” you said, taking your to-go bag. You were still capable of offering kindness and still held the belief that it could make a difference, even in small ways. “Have a great day.”
The next stop was the flower shop once you finished your treat. You carefully selected a variety of flowers so you could make a nice arrangement at home. You were far from sad, but it would brighten up your mood more. Working with flowers always gave you a burst of happiness.
Once you were back at your apartment, with no one waiting for you, you got to work. Humming, you cut and prepped the flowers and selected a wide, simple vase. Once you had the grid of tape on, you added the greenery, focal flowers, and filler flowers. You loved the balance and harmony it presented once finished. It was also beautiful.
You snapped a photo of the colorful arrangement and sent it to the girl group chat. “What do we think?”
Addison was the first to respond. “Gorgeous! Seriously, how do you do that? I can’t wait to see what you do for my wedding!”
Dana responded next. “Why are you not running your own shop? Mrs. Crandle is sweet, but you should be in charge.”
You giggled when Gina asked, “Can you please tell me how to keep flowers alive? I’m hopeless.” with just about everyone reacting with a finger pointing up.
“You also appreciate Words of Affirmation, even if compliments make you feel uncertain because you sometimes feel overlooked.”
You hugged your phone to your chest as Bucky’s voice echoed in your mind. The praise from your friends was warm and you felt seen, but a part of you couldn’t help but wonder if you were seeking validation. Did you need them to remind you that you were good at something? Or was it just that you didn’t want to feel invisible, even in this small corner of your world?
“Love you ladies. Can’t wait for Saturday.”
It was true. You loved them and always would. With the thought of the upcoming weekend and enjoying the time together, your doubt was silenced.
There were still no texts from Bucky as you wrapped up the morning. Things felt normal. It was almost too normal. You felt like you were still holding your breath and looking over your shoulder when you left your place again to head to the bookstore, expecting Bucky to block your path or suddenly show up.
It was silly to visit the bookstore considering you were just there and Bucky bought you a bunch of books. Like the cafe, it was another sense of comfort. You even spotted a new book you previously overlooked. It was a perfect novel to add to your collection.
“Reading has always been a hobby of mine. I even have first editions of some of my favorite books.”
Had Bucky carved out a place for himself so deep in your core that everything went back to him? Was this how he went about his day? Did he see something or do something and his mind just went to you? How did one function when someone else constantly invaded their thoughts?
“Hi. Is Marc working today?” you asked once you were at the counter. You wanted to see with your own eyes that he was okay.
“No, he isn’t, but he’ll be in tomorrow.”
“Oh, okay,” you said, stopping the associate before she bagged the book. Maybe you could find an excuse to go back or call to talk to him. “I’ll just put that in my bag, thanks.”
The weather had warmed up enough that you could go to the park with your new book in hand. Grabbing a seat on an empty bench, you took a moment to appreciate the landscape. It was one of the brightest spots in the city. You sometimes pictured having a picnic date there, looking up at the sky and seeing what shapes the clouds made.
“One day,” you smiled to yourself, getting started on your book.
You were only about one chapter in when a man’s voice jolted you from the pages. “Excuse me, miss. Is this seat available?” You glanced up to find a tall man in a turtleneck and long trench coat standing over you with a charming smile. Was he wearing purple gloves? “My apologies, I didn't mean to startle you.”
“It’s okay.” You nodded to the empty spot. “Feel free.”
“Thank you.” He sat down, his eyes on you as you tried to go back to your book. “Beautiful day, isn't it?”
“It is,” you agreed, turning a page in the hopes he’d get the hint. You didn’t want to be rude by not conversing, but you were trying to read.
“And it’s nice to finally meet the lady who has James Buchanan Barnes so enamored.”
Your heart thudded in your chest, turning to face him. He had a knowing smile on his face, like he knew you were either afraid or worried. “I’m sorry. Do I know you?”
“I don't believe you do. How rude of me to assume.” He extended a gloved hand toward you. “Helmut Zemo. James and I work together on occasion.”
“Nice to meet you.” You shook his hand, but didn't let it linger. Something about him put you on edge, a different sort of edge than Bucky. “I don't hear many people call him James.”
“He’s not particularly fond of it. He much prefers for people to call him Bucky.”
That said something about their relationship if the man didn't respect Bucky’s preferred name. “Okay, Mr. Zemo. Is there something I can help you with?” You couldn't imagine Bucky sending this man to speak to you. “And, I’m sorry, how did you know where to find me?”
He shrugged a bit. “I may have bribed someone or two. Nothing for you to trouble yourself with.”
Your stomach plummeted. What was wrong with these men? “You sound like Bucky,” you muttered. No wonder they worked together sometimes, if he was telling the truth. “And if you’re bribing people just to get close to me, I think I have the right to know exactly who you spoke to.”
“As I said, it’s nothing for you to trouble yourself with.”
You looked around. There were others at the park, but no one paid any attention to you. What would happen if you screamed? “What do you want from me?” you asked. Was this one of the things Bucky meant when he said it wasn’t safe for you?
He held his hands up. “I mean you no harm. I just wanted to see you face-to-face since I didn't receive an invitation from James to meet you at his club. I’m sure it… slipped his mind,” he said with a bitter smile that had you shifting away from him. “I must say, you don't strike me as the type to fall for a murderer.”
You swallowed a little. “A murderer?” Bucky had referred to himself as a monster who hurt and killed.
“Oh, yes. The blood of many stains his hands, don't you know. Alexander Pierce. Brock Rumlow. Jasper Sitwell. Howard Stark,” he ticked off names like he was listing ingredients for a recipe. “He even killed-”
“I think your time’s up.”
Both of you looked behind you to find Ray standing feet away. It was one of the first times you ever saw the stoic man look angry. “Ray?”
“Ah, Raymond!” Zemo smiled, pushing himself up from the bench. He didn’t look at all intimidated by Bucky’s bodyguard. “I was wondering which one of you would show up. Good to see you still have work.”
Ray blinked twice. “Indeed. And I’m sure you’ll hear from my boss very soon,” he said, walking around the bench to put space between you and the virtual stranger. “For now, you should go back to your side of the city and leave her be.”
“We were only talking.” Zemo held his hands up again. “You don't think I'd pose a threat to the property of James Barnes, do you?”
“I’m no one’s property. I'm a person,” you seethed, holding your head high. You were tired of everyone around you thinking of you as an object. “And I agree with Ray. You need to go. Now.”
“Such unexpected fire,” Zemo smiled, making your skin crawl. “I didn't mean to upset or offend you. I’m sure we’ll see each other again soon.”
Ray’s jaw clenched. “Walk away and don't look back at her,” he ordered.
Zemo glared at Ray, but walked away without another word, his jacket flowing in the light breeze.
You breathed properly again as Ray took a seat next to you. “Are you okay?” He shifted toward you when you nodded. “I’m so sorry he bothered you. He was supposed to be out of town.”
“Who is he? How did he know where to find me?” You narrowed your eyes at Ray and he didn't flinch under your gaze. Much scarier people stared him down. “And how did you know where to find me?”
“Zemo works with Bucky from time to time. He has his own club blocks away, Echo Scorpion. Lots of money and resources and far from being Bucky’s friend,” he explained, blinking twice again. “Boss wanted to make extra sure you were safe and he thought I was the best for the job.”
“What?” you asked over a whisper. Bucky and his fucking loopholes. “Have you been following me all day?”
“Yes,” he answered.
You slowly breathed in and out to remain calm about the fact that Bucky stayed away, but still had you followed. It didn’t calm you down. You were upset. So upset that you let out a shout of frustration loud enough that a few people looked your way, but no one stopped to check and make sure you were okay. Maybe they thought you were crazy. Maybe you were at this point.
Ray didn’t look at all surprised by your outburst. “Not to defend my boss, but he is keeping his promise by not contacting you himself if that is any consolation.”
“He still sent you, Ray. He can say all he wants that it’s for my safety and maybe it is, but it’s still a control freak move and he’s probably demanding that you give him every detail about my day,” you argued, shoving your book into your bag. “And today was going so well.”
“It still can.”
“You’re still going to follow me though.” With Zemo showing up, maybe it was for the best that Ray showed up. “That Zemo guy. Is he going to hurt me?”
“No,” Ray said with certainty. Zemo still wanted something though. Maybe he wanted to get under Bucky’s skin since he wasn't asked to meet you. “He knows that would start a war of sorts. Try not to worry about him. We’ll deal with him.”
“Start a war? You’ll deal with him? You speak so casually about violence because I assume it’s violence that’s intended,” you said as Ray looked in his lap. “He said Bucky is a murderer and he listed names. He killed those people, didn’t he?” you pressed, shuddering a bit when Ray didn’t deny it. God, he really was a killer. Why? For his own gain? “I need to sit down,” you said when your vision began to blur.
“You are sitting down,” he gently pointed out, scooting over and tenderly placing a hand on the back of your head. “Deep breaths. Put your head between your knees. It’ll help.”
You bent over, taking a few deep breaths like he instructed. “You said I can do this, but I don't know if I can, Ray. I’m not brave,” you said in a small voice.
Bucky didn't have anything to fear. He was a king who ruled his city and decided what to do with the peasants. You didn’t ask for him to entangle you in anything of his, the peasant that you were. You just wanted to survive at this point.
Ray surprised you by rubbing your back, your head starting to feel normal again. “Yes, you are. You just don't believe it because you’re not in your element,” he said, helping you sit up properly again after a minute. You did feel a bit better. “Try not to think about this and enjoy the rest of your day. You owe it to yourself to have some peace and relaxation.”
Glancing at your tote bag, you had to agree. You did owe it to yourself to have a bit of peace and relaxation. “Bucky asked me not to run or look for the bugs, but I can’t have complete peace today if I go back to my place for the night,” you said, glancing at the blonde beside you. “Is there anywhere I can stay where he won’t have direct eyes on me?”
Up until Zemo showed up, it was a normal day. A good day. You wanted that to continue.
Ray thought it over. “There’s a hotel not far from here, The Red Room. We can get you a suite for the night. I will warn you before you ask, the manager has worked with Bucky before.” He stopped you before you could get up and leave. “But she won’t breathe a word to him about anything you do. Her staff is very discreet.”
You weren’t sure whether to believe him or not. At the end of the day, he worked with Bucky and his loyalty remained with him. “Why The Red Room and not just another hotel?”
“Because it’s safe there,” he said.
You sighed and slowly got to your feet. It wasn’t getting away, but it was a small win and something told you to trust Ray. “Before we go, is Bucky doing okay today?” Part of you was curious.
Ray shook his head. “He’s in a mood and he misses you,” he replied. You pushed the guilt away. Bucky had to learn to handle time apart. “Shall we go? Are you okay to walk?”
“I’m fine. Just lead the way,” you answered.
Spending time in a hotel suite would relax you. It would give you time to read your book. And it wasn't like Bucky would show up and ambush you.
Right?
And Zemo has entered the picture. What will Bucky do when he finds out he made contact with his girl? Is Ray really looking out for you? Will anything happen at the hotel or will our girl get the rest she more than deserves? Love and thanks for reading! ❤️

Matt and Chris taking care of adhd!reader when she’s rlly active and bouncy and they struggle as she’s not listening
Matt …
Matt loved your energy — on most days, it was one of his favorite things about you. You could make even the dullest moments feel exciting. But tonight? Tonight was on a whole new level. It was like you’d had five shots of espresso and the energy of an entire marching band.
“Babe,” Matt called softly, standing in the doorway of the kitchen, watching you dart from one corner of the room to the other. You were currently reorganizing the spice rack for the third time, narrating your choices like a dramatic cooking show host.
“Paprika here, cinnamon there… Matt, do you even know how much cinnamon we have? So much cinnamon! Wait — oh my god, do we have nutmeg? We do, right? Should I bake something? Cookies! Cookies sound amazing. Do you want cookies? I’m gonna bake cookies.” you rambled as your hands searched the rack for said nutmeg.
Matt leaned against the counter, arms crossed, trying not to laugh. “Sweetheart, it’s 11 PM. The cookies can wait until tomorrow.” he said, hoping to try and redirect you from the chaos you were creating in the midst of trying to “rearrange things”.
“Tomorrow? No! Tomorrow is just… future today. We don’t wait for future today! That’s boring.” You bounced on your toes, spinning to face him, your hands gesturing wildly.
Matt stepped forward before you could bolt again, gently catching you by the waist. His touch was firm but light. “Hey, hey. Slow down for a second, alright? Look at me.” Your eyes flicked to his, wide and sparkling with excitement. “Okay, I’m looking, but you’ve got two seconds. Two seconds, that’s all you get.” you said, already itching to make the cookies you were talking about.
Matt chuckled, taking you and guiding you toward the couch. “Deal. Two seconds. Let’s just sit down for a minute, yeah?” You pouted but let him lead you, your hands still fidgeting with the hem of your hoodie. “But I’m not tired, Matt. I need to do something.” you stated, his hands guiding you to sit down.
“I know, babe. I know. But you’re running in circles, and you’re gonna burn yourself out,” he said gently, brushing a stray piece of hair from your face as you reluctantly sat. “Here’s the plan: We’re gonna breathe. Just breathe with me for a second.” He exaggerated a slow inhale and exhale, making it impossible not to copy him.
After a few rounds, Matt turned on your favorite show, one you always found comforting and familiar. “Let’s watch this for a bit. If you’re still bouncing after one episode, then we’ll bake cookies. Sound good?”
You hesitated, your body practically vibrating with pent-up energy. But the way Matt looked at you — calm, patient, and just a little tired — made you soften. “Fine.“
He smiled, draping an arm around your shoulders to keep you close. He kissed your temple as you fidgeted with the blanket.
By the time the episode ended, your head was resting on his shoulder, your eyes drooping shut. Matt glanced down, a soft smile spreading across his face. “Guess the cookies can wait after all,” he whispered to himself, pulling the blanket up over you and turning the TV off. He stayed there with you, his own eyes drifting shut.
Chris …
Chris isn’t as naturally patient as Matt. He loved you, of course, but when you got in one of your super active, can’t-sit-still moods, it was like wrangling a hyper puppy — and Chris was not good at wrangling.
“Angel, please just sit down for a second,” Chris groaned, watching you dart around the living room. You were carrying random knickknacks, moving them from one shelf to another like some sort of chaotic interior decorator.
“But I have so much to do,” you sang, spinning in place as you inspected a framed photo. “Do you think this would look better here? Or — oh my god, wait. What if we moved the couch? Do you think we should rearrange the whole living room?” Chris blinked at you, jaw slack. “The whole living room? It’s almost midnight, babe.” he muttered, his hand rubbing his temple.
“Exactly! That’s the perfect time. It’s quiet. No distractions. We can focus!” You clapped your hands, already eyeing the furniture. Chris groaned, running a hand down his face now. “You’re killing me, darling. Killing me.”
But you weren’t listening anymore, your mind already racing to the next task. Chris watched as you buzzed around the room, trying not to smile despite his frustration. You were too cute for your own good.
Finally, he sighed, stepping forward and scooping you up mid-spin. You let out a squeal as he tossed you over his shoulder like a sack of flour. “Chris!” you laughed, kicking your legs. “Put me down! I’m busy!”
“Nope,” he said simply, carrying you over to the couch. He plopped down, keeping you firmly in his lap and wrapping his arms around you like a human seatbelt. “You’re staying right here, angel.”
You squirmed, trying to wriggle free. “You’re so mean! I was just trying to be productive!” Chris smirked, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “Maybe. But you’re running around like a maniac, and you need to chill. So, congratulations, you’re officially stuck with me.”
You huffed, your pout still in place as you leaned back against his chest. For a while, you fidgeted with the strings of your hoodie, your fingers tapping against his leg. “Fine. But I’m still thinking about where to put that picture frame.”
Chris chuckled, letting his head rest against yours. “Of course you are.” He paused, an idea lighting up his face. “Alright, here’s the deal: Tomorrow, we’ll rearrange the living room together. But right now, we’re chilling.”
Your pout softened into a small smile as you tilted your head to look up at him. “You’d really help me?”
Chris grinned, brushing his thumb over your cheek. “Always, angel. Even if it means moving the couch ten times until it’s perfect.” You beamed at him, and Chris swore it made the late-night chaos worth it.

oh. oh… vi’s crashing out scene shows how she’s the kind of person to be like, “eh, I don’t care,” but as time goes by they REALLY fucking do
—> so here’s a FULL break down of that 6-9 month time skip scene
• how shaky, flashy, and quick the camera moves and continues to get. It’s similar to how you get when you’re drunk. It starts out clean and then gets snappier as the scene continues
• her relationship with Loris going to shit. It started out with celebrations (you can see them cheering together, arms around each others backs) to him pulling a drink away from Vi, to him sitting further away with his back turns towards her. Then we get another scene of Vi going to cheers w him and he’s not there, she sets the cup down and then proceeds to fall on the bar counter and the drink falls to the floor
• Vi goes from laying fully on the bed on her back to (a few frames later showing a time skip) Vi barely even making it to her bed
• the alcohol bottles piling up & her throwing up from the amount (or possibly from screaming into the sink full of water)
• she also keeps screaming a ton—during fighting, in her apartment (by punching bag and in the sink). the only other times I’ve heard Vi make such a sound is when she’s fighting other people as seen in s1 and s2, so her just screaming in her bedroom is showing INTENSE feelings
• the prision wall day counting on the walls (I didn’t really count, but I estimate there’s about 100+ days seeing as I picked out each grouping and timed it by 5). they seem to show up more as they switch between different frames of Vi in her room. Also be aware this is as much as I COULD count, there’s definitely more just out of frame. The writers confirmed this time skip is about 6-9 months
• smearing the black paint on her face w intent at first but as time goes by she gets messier, full hands on her face and eyes almost rolling up
• she’s literally sobbing against her punching bag (they don’t show her crying anytime else but I’m SURE she did it a lot more… but look at the tears on her face and the pain in her expression-IT KILLS ME).
• ^^towards the end (last photo of her smearing the paint (just before that she had broken the mirror). seemingly getting fed up and reaching a breaking point
• she goes from clean fists, to bloody fingers as the time skip goes on
• how beat up she gets as the time slip continues as she loses focus and begins to fall apart
• Vi going from pit fighting, to the bar, to her room to sleep/get ready/punch the punching bag
• then she “sobers” back up as best as possible, puts the paint on again, just to go there with a heavy heart and get beaten quickly
• Vi hallucinating Caitlyn in many ways. When we see the flag and in the bar scene and one last time when Vi thinks back to when they had that moment in Caitlyn’s room in s1
• Vi hallucinating the girl she “fell in love w” and not who had hurt her/how she had become since Caitlyn’s mother died
• the way she would look up at the Kiramman flags and think of Caitlyn each time she went up the stairs to her room. pictures show her doing it a first time, and then later down the line after a few months—she’s still looking up
• (eventually snatching one at some point and using it as a blanket as shown by the show)
• practically drowning herself in the sink full of water and screaming (maybe to try and silence her thoughts…? Water is quiet)
screenshooting Vi’s crashing out phase is so much more depressing when you take it frame by frame and remove the rock music and upbeat animation

soul ("are we mates?" "why the hell wouldn't we be?")
leon kennedy x reader || childhood friends / vague college au
wc: 840 || summary: what's the need of a label in the face of stability?
You wonder some days if Leon's grown tired of being friends with you.
You hadn't really gotten close to him until the two of you were in high school — and even then, the two of you didn't attend the same school. He had gone to one of the privates in the area while you had transferred out to a public, and it was strange that the two of you would find yourselves on the giant oak tree between your two homes, talking about your day and catching each other up on news about people you barely knew.
You barely knew your classmates when you had gone to middle school with him.
He didn't know any of your friends. Only a handful of faces from when the neighborhood would gather together to barbeque once a year.
That's how it started, and it was surprising when Leon had gotten accepted into your dream school and you had somehow made it off the waitlist.
You'd never seen Leon so excited over something — and he had begged you to accept even when you mentioned that maybe money would be a problem.
"Pull up. Please."
"I might go insane without you, yeah."
"More the reason to come."
And then you had felt like the two of you had grown apart. Staring at him in the shared club meetings, him no longer willing to drive you alone in his car because of... boundaries, or whatever. You had given him a look when he told you, and you shook your head. It doesn't matter as long as the two of you still talk.
You find a bench in the park at the dorms to chat with him on.
The oak of the tree in your home has become an oak bench.
"Do you tire of me, Leon?"
He blinks at you, laughing.
"Couldn't dream of it."
You cling onto pieces of the two of you in the past when he used to bring you small things when traveling, winking at you as he would present you with silly things he found that he knew you'd like. To be loved is to be known. perhaps. You don't know. You don't know what Leon thinks of you. It's unsurprising that the two of you had lasted so long as friends. You're not into him — at least, he isn't adjacent to your type. A strange exception you'd learned to make. His family never questioned what happened after he locked his door after 10pm.
You'd stayed up til 4 with him on the tree once.
You don't know what you feel for Leon.
An overwhelming affection and happiness, maybe. You just adore him so much it's incredible. You doubt you've ever felt so much affection for someone. But it's not quite romance. No. Not love. It's more... affection. Overwhelming affection that you feel when you have so much security in a relationship that neither of you really need to say anything to the other.
"I love you" You laugh.
"Appreciate you too."
Whether it's romantic or platonic no longer really matters to you, you don't think.
It's plenty to be the only person he texts back when he's arranging rides for the club, eyes lighting up when he spots you in the crowd, waving and flicking his chin up. You learn the sign he holds up with his hand when he's in agreement. You bleed and ooze with his habits the same way he picks yours up, giving you a look instead of saying something he knows he'll regret, your drink order memorized as he chews on the jelly he's pretty sure he'd never have without you, and the single photo you had posted of the absolute joy on your face while laughing saved in his phone (a secret he'd take to the grave).
But it doesn't matter how you feel or look because Leon makes you feel so much stability in your relationship that you can't help but laugh until you can't breathe, head thrown back in glee when it's just the two of you, and you don't feel anything when he asks you to help his cousin — you do not need to know what you are. Friends, something more, soulmates even — because Leon and you know that it's not something that a simple word could even begin to define.
"What are you gonna do without me?"
"Die, probably. Joke."
"I'd die without you too. I'd probably be dead already."
You wonder occasionally if he's tired of you, and sometimes you'll say it, sometimes you don't, but when Leon raises a brow at you after you message him that you're starting to feel tired, he'll just take over the conversation naturally and let you slip off.
So, no.
You doubt you'd ever get tired of being friends with Leon, and, well, you're sure he'd say the same.
"You tired of being friends with me?"
"We are for lifers. We can NOT stop being friends. You have too much blackmail on me."
"And if you get married?"
"That's not a problem of the present. No use thinking of a future that isn't here yet."
"Damn, okay, deep."
"Oh, shut up."

It had been a rough week for you and it was getting a lot. On Monday you had completely forgotten a friend’s birthday, which made her mad and yesterday you had found a picture of your boyfriend kissing another girl. It had been on your mind and you wanted to speak to Chris about it, but you were scared. You were scared for his reaction, because what if it was fake? Would he get mad at you?
Chris had invited you to a party, which he hosted with his 2 brothers Nick and Matt. It was all fun and games until you really felt the need to break down. You tried to hold it back, but the tears just started to stream down your face. Chris noticed and immediately rushed over to you.
“I-i dont know why i’m crying.. it’s just hormones i guess.” You said as your hands were slightly starting to shake. “No no, dont even start with me,” Chris protested. He knew about your hormones, and how they were a rollercoaster, but you would normally tell him when you were upset, and he definitely would still be able to help. He gently tilted your chin, forcing you to look at him. “I know its more than that. You’ve been acting off all day, and you ain't fooling me, so tell me what's actually goin' on,” he said, voice gentle but firm.
You take a deep breath before speaking. “I saw a photo of you kissing another woman..”
Chris felt like the world just crumbled underneath him. He was speechless, staring at you. He didnt know what to say, he didnt even know how he could even begin to explain himself when all he could focus on was how much he hurt you. He was sure he didn’t do anything.
“Is it true?” You ask, looking up into his big blue eyes. Chris hated this, knowing you’d thought he would ever cheat on you. He would die before he did, he would die before he’d even look at someone else. “No ma, it’s not true! I swear it’s not..” he tried to keep his voice steady, tried to calm the panic in his own racing heart. It was hurting him hearing how broken you sounded.
“..I swear to you, i would never, EVER cheat on you. I would never hurt you like that. You’re my everything, my person, you’re the only one for me. You’re the only one i’ll ever need. Please, please believe me, i am NOT cheating, i don’t have, and i don’t want anyone else, okay?” He spoke to you softly, pleading and desperate. He didnt want you to doubt him, he wanted, needed you to understand him. He’d do anything.
He searched your eyes, searching for even a hint of belief. Just.. any indication that you knew he wasn’t lying. He was so serious, his heart hurting more and more the longer the silence went on, his hands gently cupping your face, his breath coming out shaky, “Please, believe me.”
“I believe you, baby.. im sorry.. i was stupid enough to believe those pictures online..”
Chris let out a shaky sigh of relief, feeling a small sense of weight leave his chest as you said that. Thank god. He gently pulled you into his chest, holding you tightly against him. He held his breath, closing his eyes. He was so relieved. “It’s okay, it’s okay,” he said gently, his voice still a little shaky as he rocked you slowly, “You weren’t stupid for being hurt, i get it, but i promise you now, those pictures are a bunch of bullshit.”
He slowly calmed down, his body losing the tension it held ever since you’d dropped that bomb on him. He gently pulled away, looking down at you and seeing the tears on your face, “No more tears, alright?” He said softly, swiping a thumb underneath your eye, “There’s no need for them.” He leaned down, placing a kiss on your forehead.
“I love you, ma.”
“I love you too, Chris.”

"Among other things." He nodded. "I think he's got too much on his mind right now to have to deal with being proposed to on top of it." His free hand slipped into his pocket, the other holding the blade he'd given Felet. "I did. He took him. He took Felet and he hurt him and I wanted him to pay so I drove my blade right through him. Felet wanted to look for signs of Titus afterwards. So we did. I found that receipt and some random photos of a pretty gnarly looking brand on someone's ribs but that's it." Mason pulled out the photos. "I held onto them. I thought maybe I could find the person in them and help them but nothing. Maybe you guys can help him." He held them out to Finn. The photos were of Titus' ribs, from when the wound that was now covered with a viper tattoo was still fresh.
Titus scoffed a bit. "He used to beat the shit out of me. Every night I would stay out later to meet my quota, would take a punishment, just so that I could make sure you always at least had enough for a hotel room or something." He pulled away, looking at the floor. "Divon...Divon and the Vipers got me out. It was a few months after Donovan sold me to Garrett. Caine caught he and his friends taking pictures of me for an auction and called the rest of the crew. I uh...tried to kill everyone."
Finn frowned at the mention of the man who had abused Titus, closing his eyes as he remembered he promised to try and play nice. "I take it finding his long lost best friend put a damper on those plans?" He took another breath. "You killed Donavan?"
"Almost did... a few times. There was no one around to remind me to eat... and I had to start going to cold palces to try and get away from Donavan. Didn't work but...had to try. Masons been looking out for me." He took a breath, forcing himself to let his guard down. "I didn't....I didn't want to believe it, but you never came back, and he kept finding me. I got us jobs T...I thought I was gonna save us."

Reader is ovulating in Paige’s bed and while Paige is playing a video game. Reader can’t help but get turned on by the sight of Paige’s thigh. You can make it like teasing to smut. (Here’s a photo that inspired this)
˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪ ౨ৎ˚₊✧˚ · .
ovulating (paige x reader)
summary: based on the requests above
content warnings: nsfw smut thigh riding munch paige fingering
Your girlfriend was completely engrossed by another game of Fortnight, despite telling you she was just going to play one. She was slouched back in her gaming chair, controller gripped in her hands, legs spread wide and you couldn’t peel your eyes away. She was wearing her usual uniform of UConn gear, shorts and a t-shirt but today she had a pair of compression shorts on beneath her regular loose fitting ones. And my God, the way they clung to her perfectly toned thighs made you feel naughty things in naughty places.
You always knew when you were ovulating because you got like this…frustrated. It made you feel like a horny teenage boy, the way you yearned to be touched. Just the sight of Paige sat in front of you had you squeezing your legs closed in an attempt to relieve the building pressure.
“Paige…” You murmured from your place on her bed, the ache inside you was carnal and you wanted her attention.
“Yes, baby?” She replies, her eyes never once straying from the illuminated screen in front of her.
“Are you amost done?” You whine, not wanting to beg but trying your best to make it clear that you were bored of watching her play a game you had zero knowledge of.
“Almost.” She gives you a short, clipped response and you rolls your eyes even though she can’t see you.
Lucky for you, you knew your girlfriend very well and you knew it wouldn’t take much to have her focused on you. You stand up from the bed, reaching behind yourself to unclasp your bra, leaving you in a thin tank top, pierced nipples poking through the material. You drop the bra to the floor and take calculated steps until you’re next to Paige. Her eyes flick towards you as she notices your presence and you pout at her, fluttering your lashes in the process.
“What’s up baby?” She asks, pulling you to sit on her lap sideways and she wraps her hands around your waist, continuing to play her game, “You’ve been playing for ages.” You grumble, your hand coming up to toy with the chain around her neck. “You said you were tired, thought you were going to take a nap.” That is true but you’re not tired anymore, “Well I’m not tired anymore. I’m horny and I want you.” You say, no longer caring to be coy about the feeling in your cunt because the way her arms were wrapped around your waist, veins pertruding as she pressed the controller, voice low and husky, you couldn’t contain yourself.
Paige chuckles, finally averting her gaze from the screen to look at you, “How bad do you want me?” She teases, eyebrows raised.
“So bad.” You practically whimper, eyes locked onto hers.
“Show me baby.” She instructs and you stand from her lap, taking her hand in yours and shoving it between your legs, pressing it against the warm, wet material of her boxers you were wearing.
“Oh shit.” She breathed out, swiping up and rubbing a quick, tight circle to your clit. Your legs almost buckle beneath you but she pulls her hand away and goes back to grasping the controller, “Let me just finish this game and-“
“No Paige! No, that’s not fair. I’ll fuck myself if you don’t.” And you mean it, the burning in your core was pushing you to your breaking point, you could scream.
“Go ahead.” Paige says nonchalantly and you huff and turn to walk away but she grabs your wrist, “Uh uh,” she shakes her head, “right here.” She taps her thigh. Her smooth, muscular thigh, “and keep those on.” She points to her boxers on your body.
Usually you wouldn’t let Paige have so much control but with the way you were feeling, you’d do anything she said.
You spread your legs, lowering yourself onto Paiges thigh, the initial contact made you gasp, “Oh.” You whimpered in relief before you started to buck your hips back and forth creating friction between Paiges leg and your throbbing cunt.
“Shit.” You groan, head falling to Paiges shoulder, lips connecting to her neck. You suck and nip at the sensitive skin below her ear, “Come on, P. I need you.” You mumble into her ear but she pays you no mind, “You can feel how wet I am. I know you can.” You grind harder and faster on her thigh, your slick undoubtedly leaking out onto her.
Paige was playing a game, literally and figuratively and while say may get a Victory Royale, you were also going to get what you wanted.
Without breaking your stride, you pull your tank top up and over your head, exposing your chest. Your tits bounced with every movement and it took mere seconds for Paige to be completely focused on you, controller discarded on her desk.
Her eyes were boring into your jiggling tits and without any warning she latched her lips to your pierced nipple, swirling her tongue in small circles. You smirked, knowing you had won before a low moan escaped your lips. Paiges tongue was for sure your favourite thing on this earth.
“Need more…want these off.” You mumble, pulling at the waistband of your her boxers.
“So impatient today, huh?” Paige taunts, with an annoying smirk on her face, “Paige, please.” You don’t care that you’re begging now.
“Because you asked so nicely.” And she lifts you effortlessly by your hips, placing you on her desk, her slender fingers hook into the waistband of her boxers and she pulls them down revealing your soaked cunt, “Holy shit ma, prettiest pussy.” She complements before running two fingers up your folds and your eyes flutter shut at the feeling, “And the wettest.” She adds, admiring your slick that coated her fingers.
She lifts your legs, resting one on each of her shoulders before finally burying her face into your cunt. You gasp as her tongue moves in slow, sensual strokes, “Oh my God.” You breathe out, your hand finding her head. She quickens her pace flickering and swirling around your clit and through your folds. After riding her thigh, you know you’re not going to last long.
“Shit Paige, keep going.” You whimper, bucking your hips against her face, desperately. She looks up at you through her lashes and her eyes glint with mischief before she ploughs two fingers into you. The moan you let out is nothing short of animalistic and as she hammers into you, mouth latched onto your swollen clit, you see stars.
“Fuck- ugh- I’m gonna- gonna cum.” You announce, voice breathy and thick.
Your words only spur Paige on and she adds a third finger, stretching you out and you grip onto her desk as your legs begin to shake and your stomach tightens.
“Shitshitshit!” You cry out, thighs squeezing around Paiges head as she works to bring you to a shattering orgasm.
“Fuck.” You rasp out, legs going limp over your girlfriends shoulders. She looking up at you now, chin glistening with your juices and her fingers still work inside you, bringing you down from your high.
“You taste so good baby. I know you ovulating.” She muses, tongue running over her swollen lips.
“You can taste that?” You asks breathlessly, chest still heaving.
Paige nods and she slips her fingers out of you earning a small whimper, “Open.” She says before stuffing her sticky fingers into your mouth. You suck on her them, moaning at your taste, Paige was right, it tasted different from usual. Sweeter. Sexier.
Paige pulls you back on her lap, not caring that your probably dripping all over her shorts, you nuzzle into her neck and she presses a kiss to your head, “Satisfied?” She whispers into your ear and you nod, “Uh huh.”
“Let me get you right.” You say, pulling back to look at Paige, “I’m good baby. I know you must be tired now. Let’s get you cleaned up and go to bed.”

This song inspired a whole fic I don't have the time to write. But here is the blurb I threw at @backseatsoldier and @scaredyspooks
Background Johnny has low self esteem and accepts whatever affection he can from a friend bitch who takes advantage of that, shoving him in boyfriend situations emotionally for far to long. His best friend, you, has been pinning for him so long you have started to give up hope.
When the bitch moves to a city far away and you see her give Johnny a goodbye kiss that you don't realize is such. You turn on a heel and walk away, ignorning Johnny's calls and texts for the next few days.
Johnny thinks it unusual but it is about time for your period to start and you tend to be a bit wonky until the blood starts flowing. He brushes it off until a random man on base asks about his girlfriend.
"My what?"
"You're girlfriend sir, the woman on your home screen? She is your girlfriend right? I've seen her at some of the parties hanging out with you. Always has hearts in her eyes when she's around."
"Do you love me?" "Johnny I can't talk about this right now," she pushes on the door. It catches on his boot. "Please, I-I need," Johnny swallows down the fears crawling up his throat, "Do you love me?"
The dam breaks.
"I have loved you for a long time," your jaw quivers as you stare into his eyes, more familiar than your own.
"Oh thank god," he rushes forward, pulling you into a hug. One arm wraps around your ribs while the other grips into your hair, pushing your head into his shoulder. He kicks the front door shut. "I thought I would be to late," his voice breaks on the last word.
"What do you mean? You want Shannon?" Your fingers burrow into the back his shirt.
"I did. She represented everything I thought I deserved."
You try to pull back. Johnny isn't to much taller than you but the mucsle he maintains for his job robs you of the ability to flee from his words.
"What happened then? Why are you here?" You bite the words out in the space you could create between his chest and your face.
"Someone asked me today if I had broken up with my girlfriend. I was confused until they said the woman on my home screen, the one I am always gushing about. That is when I realized that he meant you."
That makes you pause in your efforts to escape. You were his home screen? Looking up at him Johnny shifts his hand from your hair to caress your face, thumb sweeping the leftover tears from your cheek.
"How long have I been your lock screen?" You whisper.
"Years," he whispers back.
The tears start up again.
"Why?" You can't force your words any louder than a whipser.
"There was a challenge a few Christmases back, to change your home screen to a photo of something that brings a smile to your face every time you see it. The last photo I had taken had been you. I've updated the photo a few times but it's been you since."
"Why did you never say anything?" The words hurt your throat as they leave.
"How could I tell one of the most important people in my life that I love her but I am a bad man who has done unspeakable things and don't deserve time or love from her? Why would I set myself up to be rightfully refused? For you to scoff at my affections?"
It's your turn to caress his face. He loosens his arms enough to allow you to touch him, but not enough to step back.
"You don't get to make that choice for me Johnny. And I don't like the version of me that lives in your head if you thought I would ever scoff at you."
He recoils, eyes slamming shut and chest caving in as if he took a bullet to the chest. Feckin' hell, she was right. It had to be him that didn't think he deserved anything resembling love though you had been peppering him with it for years.
You give him five breaths to deal with the emotional revelation before you are squishing his cheeks into his teeth, causing his lips to pop out.
"I would like to sit down and talk about this instead of being held hostage in my entryway. Would you like something to drink while we talk Johnny?"
You give him the softest smile he had ever seen, the gentlest crinkles forming around your eyes.
"Aye love, I think I need a drink." He presses a kiss to your forehead. "Can I hold your hand while we talk?"
"I would love that."

Hi belle!! ive loved all the mingyu drabbles ive read from u!! 💗 may i request a mingyu 2nd chance romance with prompt no. 5? 🥹
hello!! yes you definitely can!! & thank you for your compliments 🥹🤍
request your own: full prompt list!
check out my masterlist!
second chance prompt #5: "I still keep your picture in my wallet."
mingyu had always been good at pretending. pretending he didn’t still think about you when he woke up in the morning, pretending that he didn’t miss the way you laughed, how your presence could fill up a room. he was good at pretending, until he saw you again.
when he walked into the café, with the sun hitting your face just right, mingyu felt his chest tighten. he wasn’t supposed to be here. not like this. he had told himself time and time again that seeing you again would only make it worse. but when joshua casually mentioned you were in town, mingyu couldn’t stop himself from asking if he could come along.
he hadn’t realized how much he needed to see you until now, until he was standing next to you, feeling that familiar pull he’d tried so hard to bury.
as he paid for everyone's drinks, mingyu didn’t notice the photo slip from his wallet until it fluttered onto the counter.
it was the polaroid of you at the beach. he’d kept it there for so long, tucked into the folds of his wallet, a small token of a time that felt so far away but still so close.
he watched as you froze, your eyes locking onto the photo with a recognition that hit him like a punch in the gut.
"why..." you whispered, your voice cracking. "why do you have this still?"
mingyu’s heart dropped. he wasn’t sure why he’d kept it. maybe it was because he still couldn’t let go. maybe it was because he knew, deep down, that the version of you in that picture—the carefree, happy version—was something he would never find again. not with anyone else.
“i still keep your picture in my wallet,” he admitted, his voice coming out quieter than he intended.
your gaze never left the photo, your breath catching in your throat. mingyu’s chest ached, knowing how much the past still hurt you.
“mingyu…”
he ran a hand through his hair, wishing he could take back the way things ended between you. “i know. i know i messed up. i shouldn’t have pushed you away like that. but i couldn’t throw this away. it felt wrong to.”
you looked at him then, your eyes filled with so many emotions he couldn’t decipher. “you’re still holding on to this... after everything? after we—”
“i couldn’t forget you,” he cut you off, his words spilling out before he could stop them. “i’ve tried, but i can’t. you were never just a phase for me. you were... everything.”
he saw the way your lip trembled. “why did you leave then?”
mingyu swallowed hard, struggling to find the right words. “i thought i was doing the right thing. i thought it would be easier if i just let you go. i thought maybe you’d be happier without me.”
“you’re a fool,” you whispered, tears brimming in your eyes. “you broke me, mingyu.”
he felt the sharp sting of those words deep in his chest. “i know. i know i did, and i hate myself for it.”
“so why now?” you asked, voice breaking. “why did you reach out now, after all this time?”
mingyu’s eyes softened. “because i couldn’t stay away. seeing you again—it felt like a sign. a chance to fix the mess i made.”
“but i don’t know if i can trust you again.” you wiped away a tear, turning your face away.
his heart cracked at the sight. “i wouldn’t blame you if you couldn’t. i wouldn’t blame you if you hated me for what i did.”
“i don’t hate you,” you said quietly, voice almost a whisper.
mingyu took a step closer, hesitating before he reached out and gently cupped your cheek. “then why do you look like you’re about to cry every time you look at me?”
you met his gaze, eyes glossy with emotion. “because i still care about you, mingyu. i still miss you. i never stopped loving missing you.”
he let out a breath, the weight of your words settling on him like a heavy burden. he had been a fool. “i didn’t want to hurt you. i swear to god, i didn’t. but i couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
“so, what now?” you asked, looking at him through a haze of tears. “what do we do now?”
mingyu could feel the answer in his bones. he’d never been more certain of anything in his life.
“we try again,” he said, his voice firm, resolute. “we start over. i’ll do whatever it takes to prove to you that i can be the person you deserve.”
your eyes searched his, doubt lingering behind your gaze. “you mean it?”
“i wouldn’t say it if i didn’t,” he said softly, his thumb brushing across your cheek. “i’ve never meant anything more.”
you stared at him for a long moment, as if trying to figure out if he was telling the truth. finally, you let out a shaky breath and nodded. “okay,” you whispered. “but don’t mess this up, mingyu. i can’t go through this again.”
“i won’t,” he promised, leaning in and gently pressing his forehead to yours. “i swear to you, i won’t mess it up this time.”
he didn’t need words to tell you how much he meant it. his lips found yours in a soft, hesitant kiss. the world outside faded, and for the first time in a long time, mingyu felt like he was home.

I absolutely adored this!!! Ever since I came across this I have been wanting to read it and I was not disappointed!!! I LOVED Jessica Rabbit when the movie came out and always wanted to be her but then when I rewatched the film when I was a little older, I went
"Oh!" Lol, so she's been a crush of mine for a very long time and I was beyond excited to come across your story.
Her eyes scanned the room until they found her—Jessica Rabbit, the stunning redhead, sitting at the bar, a vision of elegance and allure in her form-fitting, glittering red dress.
I love how aesthetically pleasing the visual is that you give us of her because it is so on point!!!
She slid off the barstool with a grace that seemed almost otherworldly and met her halfway, wrapping her arms around Y/N in a warm, welcoming embrace. “Hey, you,” Jessica purred, her voice like honey. “I’ve missed you.” Y/N wrapped her arms around Jessica’s waist, pulling her close. “I’ve missed you too,” she murmured, pressing a kiss to Jessica’s temple. “You look amazing.” Jessica chuckled, a soft, melodic sound that sent shivers down Y/N’s spine. “You’re not so bad yourself, Y/N.”
Perfect greeting!!! I wish I knew of a more eloquent way to explain the feelings I got reading this scene. I literally experienced what Y/N was feeling, down to the physical sensations, but without the beautiful redhead in front of me. 😭 Flawlessly written!!!
Before Y/N could respond, their drinks arrived. Y/N took a sip of her whiskey, savoring the burn as it went down. Jessica opted for a martini, elegant and refined, just like her. They talked for a while, sharing stories and laughing together. Y/N loved the sound of Jessica’s laughter—it was genuine, full of joy. She found herself getting lost in Jessica’s eyes, the way they sparkled in the dim light.
I don't think I can say it enough, the shape your writing takes and how seamless it fits to this character just absolutely astounds me (in a very good way) and makes the reading experience that much more enjoyable and pleasant. You really nailed this!!!
One evening, they found themselves surrounded by boxes, the living room a chaotic mix of Jessica’s glamour and Y/N’s rugged style. They were sitting on the floor, a bottle of wine between them, laughing over some old photographs they had discovered. "Look at this one," Jessica giggled, holding up a picture of Y/N in her teenage years, dressed in a band T-shirt and ripped jeans, her hair a mess. "You were such a rebel." Y/N chuckled, taking the photo from her. "Still am, in a way," she said, looking at Jessica with a playful grin. Jessica smiled, leaning in to kiss Y/N's cheek. "I love that about you," she said softly. "You’ve always been unapologetically yourself." Y/N felt a warmth spread through her chest. "And I love that you love me for it," she replied, brushing a strand of Jessica’s hair behind her ear.
This was such a cute moment that then flowed into a very loving and sweet exchange between them that just had me
A few days later, they hosted a small housewarming party, inviting close friends to celebrate their new life together. The apartment was filled with the sound of music and laughter, a testament to the love and happiness that now filled the space. Jessica was the perfect hostess, moving through the crowd with grace and charm, while Y/N played the part of the attentive partner, always by her side, making sure she had everything she needed. They were a team, a perfect balance of glamour and strength, and their friends could see how happy they made each other.
Beautifully written!!! I could see it clear as a bell along with how well they balance each other out and are perfect partners, just as much as their friends could.
"That was amazing," Jessica said, leaning her head on Y/N’s shoulder. "Thank you for making this so special." Y/N wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "Anything for you," she replied, kissing the top of her head.
And I would like to thank you for writing this and making it special as well!!! My younger self is floating away somewhere about a hundred feet above us, sighing happily with humongous heart eyes. This was pure fluff and sweetness and I just absolutely LOVED it!!! Thank you again for writing it and for sharing it with us all. You truly have a gift as a writer and you're an excellent wordsmith, my friend. I really hope you write more for this character or even this particular reader x Jessica dynamic if you ever feel up to it, I would LOVE to read it if you do!!! 😀💖💖
Jessica rabbit x female reader
Y/N adjusted her leather jacket, tugging at the collar in a futile attempt to shake off the nerves. It wasn’t like she hadn’t seen Jessica Rabbit a hundred times before, but every time felt like the first time. There was something about the way Jessica moved, the way she looked at her, that made Y/N feel like she was falling all over again.
She took a deep breath and pushed open the door to the club. The place was dimly lit, filled with the low hum of chatter and the occasional clink of glasses. Her eyes scanned the room until they found her—Jessica Rabbit, the stunning redhead, sitting at the bar, a vision of elegance and allure in her form-fitting, glittering red dress.
Y/N felt a smile tug at her lips as she walked over. Jessica turned, her eyes lighting up when she saw Y/N approaching. She slid off the barstool with a grace that seemed almost otherworldly and met her halfway, wrapping her arms around Y/N in a warm, welcoming embrace.
“Hey, you,” Jessica purred, her voice like honey. “I’ve missed you.”
Y/N wrapped her arms around Jessica’s waist, pulling her close. “I’ve missed you too,” she murmured, pressing a kiss to Jessica’s temple. “You look amazing.”
Jessica chuckled, a soft, melodic sound that sent shivers down Y/N’s spine. “You’re not so bad yourself, Y/N.”
They pulled apart, and Y/N took a moment to admire her girlfriend. Jessica was the epitome of glamour and sophistication, and Y/N couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride knowing that she was hers.
“Let’s grab a seat,” Jessica suggested, gesturing to a booth in the corner. Y/N nodded, taking Jessica’s hand and leading her to the secluded spot.
Once they were seated, Y/N ordered drinks for both of them. As they waited, she reached across the table, taking Jessica’s hand in hers. Jessica’s fingers were soft, delicate, but her grip was strong and reassuring.
“So, how was your day?” Y/N asked, tracing circles on the back of Jessica’s hand with her thumb.
Jessica sighed, a contented smile on her lips. “It was good. Busy, but good. I had a photoshoot this morning, then a meeting with my agent. But now, I’m here with you, and that’s all that matters.”
Y/N felt a warmth spread through her chest. “I’m glad you could make it. I know you’re busy.”
Jessica shook her head, her eyes softening. “I’ll always make time for you, Y/N. You’re important to me.”
At one point, Jessica reached across the table, cupping Y/N’s cheek with her hand. “You know, I’ve been thinking about something,” she said softly.
Y/N leaned into the touch, her heart beating a little faster. “Yeah? What’s that?”
Jessica bit her lip, looking a bit nervous. “I’ve been thinking about us. About our future.”
Y/N’s breath caught in her throat. She hadn’t expected this, but she was intrigued. “What about our future?”
Jessica took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving Y/N’s. “I want to be with you, Y/N. Really be with you. I want us to move in together, to build a life together. I know it’s a big step, but I can’t imagine my life without you.”
Y/N felt a rush of emotions—surprise, joy, excitement. She squeezed Jessica’s hand, her own eyes shining. “I want that too, Jessica. More than anything.”
Jessica’s face lit up, and she leaned across the table, capturing Y/N’s lips in a soft, tender kiss. Y/N kissed her back, pouring all her love and affection into that one moment.
When they finally pulled apart, they were both smiling, a sense of happiness and contentment settling over them.
“I love you, Y/N,” Jessica whispered, her eyes filled with emotion.
Y/N felt her heart swell. “I love you too, Jessica. Always.”
They spent the rest of the evening talking about their plans, their dreams for the future. It felt so right, so natural, and Y/N knew that this was where she belonged—with Jessica, building a life together.
As they left the club, hand in hand, Y/N felt a sense of peace. She glanced over at Jessica, who was smiling up at her, and knew that no matter what the future held, they would face it together.
They walked through the city streets, the cool night air wrapping around them. Jessica leaned into Y/N, her head resting on her shoulder. Y/N wrapped an arm around her, holding her close.
“I can’t wait to start this new chapter with you,” Jessica said softly.
Y/N pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “Me too, Jessica. Me too.”
They continued walking, lost in their own little world. The city around them seemed to fade away, and all that mattered was the two of them, together.
When they finally reached Y/N’s apartment, they took the elevator up to her floor. Y/N unlocked the door, holding it open for Jessica. She stepped inside, glancing around the familiar space. It was a little messy, but it was home.
Jessica looked around, a smile on her lips. “I can see us here,” she said softly. “I can see us making this place our home.”
Y/N felt a surge of emotion. “Me too,” she said, her voice thick with feeling. “I can’t wait to start this journey with you, Jessica.”
Jessica turned to her, wrapping her arms around Y/N’s neck. “Neither can I,” she whispered, leaning in for another kiss.
They spent the rest of the night talking, making plans, dreaming about their future. It felt like a dream, but it was real, and Y/N knew that this was just the beginning of something beautiful.
As they lay in bed together, Jessica curled up against her, Y/N felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She held Jessica close, listening to the sound of her breathing, and knew that they were exactly where they were meant to be.
“I love you,” Y/N whispered into the darkness.
Jessica stirred, her eyes fluttering open. “I love you too,” she murmured, a smile on her lips.
Y/N kissed her forehead, holding her close. “Goodnight, Jessica.”
“Goodnight, Y/N,” Jessica replied, her voice soft and sleepy.
Y/N closed her eyes, a smile on her lips, and let herself drift off to sleep, knowing that she was exactly where she was meant to be—with Jessica, the love of her life, by her side.
In the following weeks, the couple's life slowly intertwined as they started the moving process. Jessica's belongings, previously scattered in her luxurious apartment, were now finding a place in Y/N's cozy home. The scent of Jessica’s favorite lavender candles filled the air, blending with Y/N’s coffee and leather aroma. It felt right, the way their lives were meshing together.
"You were such a rebel."
Y/N chuckled, taking the photo from her. "Still am, in a way," she said, looking at Jessica with a playful grin.
Jessica smiled, leaning in to kiss Y/N's cheek. "I love that about you," she said softly. "You’ve always been unapologetically yourself."
Y/N felt a warmth spread through her chest. "And I love that you love me for it," she replied, brushing a strand of Jessica’s hair behind her ear.
They continued sorting through the boxes, talking about their memories and making new ones as they did. The night was filled with laughter, kisses, and the promise of a future together.
As the night drew to a close and the last guest left, Y/N and Jessica found themselves alone in their apartment. They collapsed onto the couch, exhausted but happy.
"That was amazing," Jessica said, leaning her head on Y/N’s shoulder. "Thank you for making this so special."
Y/N wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "Anything for you," she replied, kissing the top of her head.
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each

loss of my life ( k. bakugo x reader, anxiety, depression, mourning, stages of grief, character death mentioned, some self deprecation OR your boyfriend laments the loss of his life and struggles through the reality of being the one left alive ) ( and what if i was feeling sad ) ( i’m actually so sorry omg xx ) ( play loml by taylor swift if u want this to hit extra hard </3 )
The sky was crying.
Katsuki Bakugo disliked nothing more than the rain, the whole concept of it made him feel extremely weak— useless. Not only did the heavy downpour make it harder for him to produce sweat and therefore harder to use his quirk, but being drenched made everything much slower and heavier, so cold and lifeless. He never understood what you liked about it so much.
Not until he was sitting on a bench, tears and rainwater blurring his vision, the two liquids blending together and making it hard to distinguish whether he was crying. He tilted his head back, letting the water pelt against his skin as he finally released his breath.
For a moment… it almost felt like the clouds were doing all the hard work for him, he didn’t even have to cry. A sudden crackle of thunder snapped against the sky, screaming so he didn’t have to, angry for him over life’s injustice.
He didn’t understand it. And then he did.
He could understand why you’d sit at the window for hours, staring out at the rain with a serene look in your eyes, your whole body at ease.
The text cursor blinked up at him mockingly as he remained frozen, looking at his phone, your contact pulled up. It was still favorited on his phone. He hit call after a few seconds, letting the other phone in his hands (one he paid for solely so he could keep doing this) go on and on, the special ringtone you’d picked out specifically so you’d know it was him calling played out. Over the speaker he heard it… your voice.
“Hey! It’s Y/N, I’m off saving the world right now so leave it at the beep and I’ll call back… or not ‘cause I hate phone calls… unless you’re my boyfriend… I’ll text ya! Okay bu— beeeeep.”
The recording cut off before you could fully say bye in that signature cute way that was simply so you, it was more of a buh-bye, with you dragging out the final vowel. If anyone else had said it that way he would’ve found it annoying, told them to speak normal. With you… well, he thought anything that you did endearing.
He wished he’d been strong enough to save you.
His finger twitched, and before he knew it his whole hand was shaking. He stared helplessly at it while his heart went haywire inside his chest.
Dying… he was definitely dying. He was dying and he would get to see you again—
“Kacchan?”
It was overwhelming. The tightening in his chest, the sense of nostalgia washing over him, the longing he felt for someone whose blood had run cold months ago.
A familiar voice broke him out of his reverie, Katsuki looked up to meet green eyes.
How he wished they were yours… he’d often get lost in the world behind your eyes, picturing where life would lead the both of you, together.
“What are you doing out here? You hate the rain.”
He was crying.
It was obvious to his childhood friend, even with the rain trying to disguise it. Izuku Midoriya knew him like the back of his hand, and he knew how much he was hurting with your loss.
“I know you don’t feel like celebrating right now, why don’t we go back inside?” Deku continued,“I’ll walk you to your room.”
He’d rather be in yours… a room now empty, it used to be filled with all your things— books, knickknacks, posters on the walls, photos you’d force him to take that he secretly loved being in because it meant you felt he was worth remembering for years to come… he used to love spending time in your dorm if not only for your scent, being enveloped in it made him feel warmer than he’d ever known before
“She’s gone.” He finally spoke.
You really were gone. You weren’t coming back. You wouldn’t appear once more someday, jumping up from behind him to yell “sike” and laugh off just how good you’d gotten him. You’d never hold his arm again, or force your freezing cold hands under his shirt. Never text him from across the classroom how much you missed him despite having spent the whole morning in his room, getting ready and taking over his whole bed with your makeup. You wouldn’t whine about making the wrong shoe choice for the day and wait for him to begrudgingly let you jump on his back for him to carry you back to the dorms. He’d never hear your annoying laugh again, or stare at the little mole you had under your left eye. The days of flushing in embarrassment when you forced a bit of pda on him in the hallway before class were gone, and so were your secret moments behind closed doors. There was no more holding back, he was crying again.
He wouldn’t see you again.
Izuku gulped, frowning deeply,“I’m so sorry, Kacchan…”
He looked up, eyes somber.
You were the loss of Katsuki Bakugo’s life.

Ok… do you all remember when I said I was working on a Detective Loki AU where he’s hunting a serial killer? Well here’s the introduction!! Please let me know if you like it!!
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: mention of murder, death, crime, cause of death. (Nothing gory and no details)
Characters: Loki, other OCs.
Summary: After living for some time on Midgard, Loki takes a liking to the small city he’s been banished to. Seeing the darkness of humanity day after day for almost a century has Loki feeling like he could make a difference. He joins the local detectives to solve the city’s violent crimes and comes face to face with his first serial killer.
Snakes and Daggers
The shrill ringing of his cellphone cut through the silence in Loki’s flat like a knife through butter. He grumbled turning over and grabbing the phone and answering it with a grumpy growl “This better be important.”
A moment of silence on the other end and then the voice of his partner “I think homicide is pretty important but what do I know?” Detective Fowler replies sharply. “Ah, hello Ethan, do you have more information for me or….?” Loki sits up and runs his long fingers through his messy onyx curls. “Yeah, we have a body, I’ll text you the address, get your ass down here” Fowler snapped back. “So grumpy Ethan, I’ll meet you there soon” Loki teased him before hanging up.
—•—•—•—
Loki arrived at the scene, officers and crime scene technicians bustled about. Camera shutters clicked, baggies rustled and Fowler barked orders that hung in the air with the fog of his breath. Fowler was young but he was no rookie, he had reddish brown hair and blue eyes with soft untouched skin to match. Ethan Fowler barely drank, didn’t smoke, ate healthy and dressed well. “Everyone relax, I’m here now” Loki joked as he ducked under the crime scene tape and approached Fowler “So what do we have?” he asked.
Fowler sighed deeply and his glance flashed to the right of them. “Young female, deceased. A man was walking his dog and it pulled him off the trail and straight up to the body” he describes solemnly. “How young Fowler?” Loki presses further. “Maybe 19 or 20, college age” Fowler answers. “Shit! This fucker is escalating. This is the third body this week” Loki growls deeply.
Then grass and gravel crunch lightly under their feet as Loki follows his partner down to the location. The scene was all too familiar for Loki now, an innocent young girl lying nude in the twigs and mud, dumped like trash. Loki squats down near the body “I’m sorry darling, I’m going to catch this asshole, I promise” he says quietly. “Why do you talk to them?” Fowler asks inquisitively. Loki straightens and faces his partner, hands in his pockets. “What do you mean?” he tilts his head and narrows his eyes. “I’ve been your partner for a while now, I’ve noticed you talk to the decea- to the victims, why?” Loki searched Ethan’s face for any sign of mockery but none could be found. “Because they can hear me, I am a god after all, even if I’m not their god” Loki explains as he takes his notepad out of his blazer pocket and flips it open. “Yeah that’s the other thing, what is a god doing on earth working as a homicide detective in this shit city?” Fowler laughs as he asks that question following Loki back towards the body. “Well originally I came here to hide from retribution for my so called crimes on Asgard. While I was here I saw so much of this violence and hatred you all have towards each other, innocent people being slaughtered by people they loved or trusted. After that I learned that many of these crimes as you call them, they go unsolved and well that really upset me. I have a gift with my siedr and I realized I could use it for good, to help with this, so here I am” Loki continued examining the body, at one point even taking a camera from tech and snapping his own photos. “Hmm, interesting reason” Fowler shrugs and snaps a pair of gloves on.
Loki looks up at Fowler, almost through his lashes at this angle “So are you going to interrogate me some more or actually work on solving this crime?” he motions to the murdered girl in front of them. “Don’t get your panties in a twist. I’ve been your partner for a little over a year and I realized I don’t really know that much about you or who you are” Fowler replies squatting down. “How about we focus on our victim? Find out who she is yeah?” Loki answers back raising his eyebrows. He reaches out and gently brushes the hair from her neck revealing bruising “Victim is a young Caucasian female between 19 and 25 years old, bruising around the throat suggests that the victim was strangled, there is no evidence to suggest that the crime took place here, location appears to be a dumpsite” Loki speaks into a recorder as a tech takes down notes. “Hey…. Lokes….” Fowler’s tone changed to that of concern. “What is it?” Loki looked over at his partner, he seemed paler than a ghost. “Isn’t this the girl who was talking with you at the bar Saturday night?” Fowler asks quietly so the others won’t hear. “Shit… yeah it is her” Loki goes even paler than he already is and stumbles back. “Well did you get her name?” Fowler asks him. Loki looks around at the other officers and begins to breathe heavily, he runs his fingers through his black tresses “Uhh no, we just talked for a few minutes at the bar” his voice was shaky. Fowler steps closer to Loki “Hey, no one is going to think you killed this girl” he assures him. “Obviously no one is going to think I’m a bloody killer Ethan!” Loki hisses at him through a clenched jaw. Fowler backed up a little bit with wide eyes “Whoa, calm down Loki. You looked upset or nervous or something Is all" he explains. “Well, I am upset, I talked to this girl and now she’s dead, was the guy watching her while she talked to me? Did he get her after I turned her down and she left the bar that night? How did this happen?” Loki rambled on a bit in his worry. “Loki this had nothing to do with you and doubt you could've stopped it, let's say you did take this girl home, there would be a different girl laying here in her place. You and I have been doing this long enough to know that” Fowler reminds him. “I’ll meet you back at the station, we’ll start looking into her last movements and see if she has anything in common with our other victims” Loki replies as they head back to their vehicles.
This was the 4th victim in two months, the killer had the same MO each time. The victims were left nude and appeared to be washed prior to being dumped, cause of death strangulation. Each victim was discarded near the lake in the tall brush near the woods, it wasn’t an easily accessible area. The bodies had to be carried to the location, the killer would have to carefully navigate the gravelly shore to reach it. Loki had no doubt that the killer chose the area because the rocks made it impossible to leave any footprints behind. The question was when he was leaving the bodies, it had to be at night since the lake was a popular spot during the day. These killings were eating at Loki, keeping him awake and consuming his thoughts as he tried to chase down the monster responsible.

life update (tw assumed almost kidnapping, possible stalking, etc)
I should really be forcing myself to go on temporary hiatus but this is really my only safe space. i’ve been treated very roughly recently, and what happened yesterday just added. don’t worry about me leaving you all, i’m not taking a temporary hiatus
so i’m honestly just gonna start off with a message. Men, women, minors, anyone: please be vigilant of your surroundings. No matter where you are, densely populated places or scarcely populated places, day or night, be vigilant.
My car is currently in a different state, being lent to a family member (which has been going on for about a month), meaning i have to take public transport to and from college since i’m not doing dorms. Where the bus stops is just a short walk from my house, probably only 5 or 6 houses down, 5 to 10 minute walk.
Just for anyone who’ll have questions about why I wasn’t able to defend myself, Massachusetts colleges prohibits carrying firearms or concealed weapons, meaning i’m not able to take my pocket knife or any form of defense i have. The only exception is for law enforcement officers who are authorized to carry weapons. There is also no way in hell i’m leaving any sort of defense on public transport until I come back at the end of the day.
A few weeks back, I had seen an inferno orange-reddish toyota truck slowing down near me. driving it, was an older man. I didn’t think much of it at the time, chalking up to pure coincidence or misunderstanding. maybe i was someone he thought he knew? maybe he had to take a turn? i live in a scarcely populated area, only about 4,000 people live here. probably someone one of my parents knew.
Earlier yesterday, my final class ended around 2. I got off the public transport at 2:30-2:40 and started walking. I had one airpod in my ear, still semi-vigilant of my surroundings. everything was fine. Until i saw this truck again. Okay, it was slowing down, same as last time. Except the man was staring me down this time. And pulled over on the opposite side of the road. I stop, turn around to face the truck to let him know i was aware of what was happening. Shakily, i pull out my phone, pretending to take a video. The man sits in his car for a bit as i walk backward, still holding my phone out. I was too scared to even take a real video or a photo of the plates. He half-pulled out onto the road, looking like he was going to turn onto my side. Instead, he pulled away, most likely when he saw I had a phone. I had called my boyfriend when he had slowed down, just to have someone on the phone.
With all that being said, when the man drove away, I ran up the hill, back to my house. Out of fear, and not wanting to call anyone else, I call my stepfather, anything i was saying was barely audible. He told me to calm down, asked me if i was okay, and asked what happened. I told him what had happened, to which he had asked if I had the plates. I told him no. He said that was okay, talked to me a bit more, and told me to call the police. I called my local station, talked to someone, and I could tell they weren’t just brushing it off as a woman being crazy or attention seeking. They told me they understood I was afraid, but there wasn’t much they could do without the plates. I told them that was okay, and if i saw it again, i’d take photos.
I’ve been extremely shaken all night and this morning. My stepfather put in to get out of work early for the next however long to come pick me up from the stop, which I am so grateful for. But it got me thinking, what would’ve happened if the guy got ballsy enough to get out of his truck? what would’ve happened if he took me? And I have nothing to defend myself with except punches, kicks and bites, which of a 5’3, 98lbs college girl, there’s not much force behind those.
I always want to keep you guys updated in my life, because I feel transparency is important with people you care about. I apologize for how long winded this was, and if you made it this far, thank you.

Graham says the duck thing again, and she almost checks out of the conversation right then and there. It’s only his explanation almost immediately afterward that gets her to stick around, though she does throw Graham a look of slight derision when he further insists his grandmother would like her. Guy probably doesn’t realize just how much he tends to get under people’s skin — thinks she’s starting to get under his, in fact, with her quip about Alec. It’s a fact of life, much like anything else is: the sky is blue, the grass is green, and eventually Clementine Wood gets hard to swallow. So she waves the notion off again, as she’d rather not be humiliated in front of someone the Lacrosse King talks about with such fucking reverence. “I’ll take a rain check,” she says, though doesn’t point out that the rain check will most likely never come. She won’t insult Graham’s intelligence — he could very well know she’s bullshitting him. But the fact remains she doesn’t really care, does she?
She’s especially bitter now that Graham tries to one-up her in terms of friendship with Alec — we go way back, he says, and Clem can do little else but scoff. “Yeah? So why’s he never mentioned you before?” she asks, voice posed as a challenge. “I’ve known him since we were in diapers, Oswald. He’s had plenty of opportunities to say something about you to me.” Alright, that’s unfair. Alec could very well have mentioned Graham at some point to Clementine — and it could have very well been during one of the times she’d tuned him out, which happened more often than not in high school.
But she’s not going to concede to that point — she’s stubborn, and a bitch, and it’s better Graham gets that now than before he wears her down enough to maybe actually get her to accept dinner with him and his grandma. Besides, she and Alec were practically thrust out of their mothers’ wombs inseparable — despite how much shit they give each other, Clementine doesn’t think there’s anyone she’d so readily go to bat for. “So if you’re just making shit up to take the heat off you, try something else,” she sniffs haughtily, taking the photo paper without much fanfare, balancing it against her hip as she gives Graham a long, skeptical once-over.
Then the guy says sorry, and Clementine wants to pull her hair out. Can’t he just be a dick? It’d be much easier to end this conversation on a less culpable note if he could just stick to being some busy-body asshole who’s been wasting her time. Instead, he’s inviting her to dinner with his grandmother, apologizing for inadvertently insulting the most important person in her life, and still giving her free photo paper. Jesus Christ, Clem’s a fucking monster, comparatively. “Just—” she huffs, frustrated. “Whatever, it’s fine, could you just—” she waves her arms around, photo paper and all, gesturing wildly at the man in front of her. “I don’t know, call me a bitch or something? You’re freaking me out.”
"duck a l'orange," he repeated, as if that would make any difference. "it's roast duck with an orange glaze. a julia child original recipe that will blow your mind!" when clem made the point about graham's grandmother hating her, he couldn't help but laugh a little. nana dottie was a lot of things, but she was even less pretentious than him most of the time. in a lot of ways, she was proper based on old-fashioned notions of how she should act in public. behind closed doors, she was much more relaxed and, honestly, cooler than graham was. "i was just trying to be nice... it's been so long since we actually talked to one another, and my grandmother always says the best way to get to know someone is to share a meal with them," the look on his face could have won him a runner-up title for 'best dejected puppy-like pout.' "nana dottie would not hate you, trust me. i actually think that she'll have wished that she had a grandchild like you. i wouldn't be surprised if she invited you to thanksgiving dinner."
alec was his friend, too, and although it's childish graham couldn't help but feel a bit possessive. "alec and i are 'fucking nerds,' as you so politely put it, together. we go way back, clem," he staked his claim to poking jabs at their shared friend. it wasn't like graham had been such an asshole in high school that he hadn't spent time with kids outside of the jock and cheerleader crowd. he had gone to alec's shows and hung out when it was just the two of them. "i love the guy, i'm not just trying to piss on his intelligence. it was just a joke, okay? even alec laughed it off," he adjusted his tie to avoid saying anything else that might hurt them both. "look, i am sorry... i guess i got too excited about catching up, i didn't think about how talking about your friend might hurt you."
he followed her into the copy room, his attention directed towards a fresh ream of the photo paper she had come for in the first place. "right, sorry, i forgot," he sheepishly apologized for the third time in the past couple of minutes. "i'm happy to supply photo paper whenever you need to stop by city hall. no one really uses the stuff anymore, anyways. we mostly use regular printer paper." graham grabbed the brand spanking new ream, plus the already opened stack, and handed them to clem. "i'm sorry for all the hassle, hopefully this was worth the walk and talk," he added as the fourth in a long line of owed apologies.
