((OOC: This one will be a bit shorter since there isnât much for me to go off of interaction-wise, but this is for âSethâ to Nunnally))
-
Seth had continued to frequent the hole in the wall shop as per his usual habitual ways permitted, and he noticed that on occasion the young miss who had gifted him a treat a month ago would drop by from time to time.
Their schedules didnât seem to line up much considering theyâd only crossed paths again only a mere handful of times.
Though the shop advertised Valentineâs day for couples, it didnât advertise much for White Day for reasons he could only fathom.
Heâd spoken to the owner of the shop that the next time Nunnally came in, her order would be his treat, along with her choice of a dessert that the store had to offer. It wasnât necessary to state that he was the one gifting her.
The owner would simply give her a message that: [A grateful patron had paid for your order in advance as thanks for last month]
It wasnât very personable, but their relationship was essentially that, practically strangers. That said, Seth wasnât one to not return favors or goodwill, so he chose to go about it in this roundabout manner. Â
She liked that cafĂ©. It wasn't one of these posh places that were popular among her friends, but it served one of the best coffee in the city. At least in Nunnallyâs opinion. So, she was a frequent guest there. Sometimes she would just take a coffee to go, sometimes sit inside and read a book or sketch, and sometimes take a seat outside and watch people passing by. She had perhaps noticed Seth once or twice, but didnât think about him too much. Sharing a coffee and something sweet with him on Valentineâs Day was more of an accident than a planned action; it didn't last long and she was quick to forget about it.
And there was Nunnally standing more than surprised when she was offered a free drink and a desert. As a thanks for last month What did it mean?
She stood there a bit puzzled; unsure if she was not mistaken for someone else. But that would be odd. She knew she stood out (not only in this particular place but also in general), always giving the vibes of not fitting there. Whatever that âthereâ was. In addition, the older lady, who was an owner of the place and had talked with Nunnally more than a few times was sure it was for her. Indeed, there were little chances Nunnally could have been mistaken for some other young woman.
She hesitantly accepted the coffee and chose yoghurt with fruit as her sweet treat; still wondering whom she should thank for this unexpected gift. And then she realized it! The double treat for the Valentineâs Day she shared with a lonely stranger. She laughed gently when she understood, and looked through the patrons to see if that man there. But he was not. Slightly disappointed, Nunnally started to wonder if he was a frequent guest here, but she didnât ask. Perhaps he would not like her to pry. She had a small chat with the lady behind the counter as the cafĂ© was almost empty at this time of a day, and then she chose a table far in the corner (but close to the window) and started to sketch something in her notebook.
When she was almost ready to leave, Nunnally noticed the door opening and someone entered the still empty café. Surprisingly enough that someone was the man that got her the treat. She was watching him from her place as he placed his order and sat by one of the tables. She chuckled gently, stood up and walked straight to the man: --
âMay I join you?â â she asked taking a seat without waiting for his invitation or even giving him a chance to answerâ âI guess it is my turn to say thank you to you.â â she laughed â âPerhaps it should become our custom to leave small treats for each other from time to time.â â she was not truly serious, but she was curious about him. Nunnally didnât expect most of the people doing what he did.
âHow did you know I am coming here? Do you perhaps also like the place?â â he must have seen her here at least a few times before (how otherwise would he know she'd be back?), so it was embarrassing that she didn't notice him. To cover for these feelings (or perhaps embarrassing herself even more) she opened her notebook and pushed it towards him: --
âI did a pretty good job, didnât I?â â Nunnally said pointing to the drawing in her notebook depicting Seth himself â âI was trying to remember how you looked after getting the treat earlier today.â â she explained to make the situation less awkward. At least in her own eyes.
âBy the way, my name is Nunnally. Do you feel like giving me yours?â Â

Penelope!!!! (If she was in Hades 2)
The location I would put her in doesnât exist in the game yet, but I tried to do a bit of a background.
Personally I would understand if Penelope doesnât actually show up in Hades 2, thereâs so much going on in the game already, buuuut if she was thereâŠ.
I think thereâs a lot of fun metaphor in unraveling the dayâs weavings as a form of turning back the clock, hence âWitch of Unwindingâ. Penelope isnât referred to as a witch in any myths that I know of, but for various reasons I think itâs a fun change.

if you post an image in discord itll round the corners, but once you hit a certain smallness it rounds into a circle. so basically if you make an image that is 32x32 and you post it in discord itll go from this
to this.
so you basically can just draw a little face in mspaint or something and paste it into discord and itll look like a little emoji. you can potentially mess around with this a lot, its proportional to your image going smaller and it doesnt have to be a square either.
#I THINK THIS HAS A LOT OF FUN POTENTIAL#discord#i am reblog locking this bc i lack the ability to properly issue corrections (see replies)#and also because getting notes like this causes me some distress#please feel free to issue a version of this post that is more accurate yourself (any reader)#but i will refrain#i still think its fun tho i initially noticed this at the 16 scale where it works regardless#just have fun and express yourself in a carefree manner

with my nakba posts, here's some website recommendations if you want to learn on the history of specific depopulated palestinian areas:
palestine remembered is probably the most famous and comprehensive website with full documentations of former locations and depopulated villages. it also lists information on palestinian refugee camps, guestbooks, and the ability to submit pictures/info if you know of any. information on each village varies.
zochrot is an organization dedicated to teaching both palestinians and israelis about the 1948 nakba (which is not covered well if at all in israeli schools, as you can probably imagine), which includes documenting information on villages and even an app. information on each village varies.
the interactive encyclopedia for the palestinian question's places page has some detailed histories and a map as well, but doesn't go into the detail of the last two sites, and doesn't have pictures or sources.
some villages also have their own websites, and many of them are also in english (for example, the one i linked for kafr bir'im). honestly just look up (village name) + website and if it's there you'll find it.
wikipedia also has surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the villages, the articles include a little more of the "war" background than the other websites do. (and of course since it's wikipedia you can find further sources on there.)
all that remains: the palestinian villages occupied and depopulated by israel in 1948 is a famous book by palestinian historian walid khalidi which gives a detailed account of what became of 400 different depopulated palestinian villages. it was released in 1992, so it's not current, but many of the things he wrote still hold. a lot of the above links use this book as a source.
#palestine#wanted to include villagesofpalestine.com but the website isn't working for me#if anyone knows of any others please feel free to reply/reblog with them :)

In the world of heavy metals, love is denser than hate!
#Poorly drawn SVSSS#SVSSS#luo bingge#luo binghe#ask#Is that right? Two different character tags? I think that is right.#I'm calling myself out with screenshotting the asks with the dates because my full ask box has become a problem I'm determined to solve.#I promise you that if I did not respond to your ask it was because I 1) *really* wanted to hold on to it to make a doodle reply#or 2) really was so touched by the message and got overwhelmed#So expect many year + old asks suddenly gaining a reappearance! I'm going to get to them ALL.#Back to Luo Binghe (both versions). You see...the substance he is made with has a chemical reaction to affection.#Like how a pokemon has multiple paths to evolution depending on it's friendship points or exposure to random stones#so to does he evolve into various forms. I feel like Bingge (Ht) would be a noble gas. Unable to form bonds#I could also see him as a Halogen-type of element! Highly reactive and only truly found in manufactured environments.#And Binghe (Lv) would be an alkaline earth metal (+2). Sturdy. Forms bond better but not freely giving them away.#this is the second time I've related characters to elements - and I am far less familar with Scum Villian so please feel free to chime in.#I could be way off base here and I am very down for someone to talk chemistry and character themes.#Thank you all for the love you have given my silly little LBH. It means a lot to me B*)#Don't...don't look too hard at the lack of mark on his forehead here. I gave up. It's just...hidden behind his bangs.

hello my dear king enthusiast
share some king hcs? or just any hcs in general
Okay I have a few, though I'm probably gonna make that a separate post! But here's one hc that I like the most:
So King is awkward at first when he gets roped into getting along with Purple's friends. (Because Purple wanted him to and who could say no to that face.)
But, once King gets more comfortable hanging around the CG, He starts calling each and every one of them their own unique nicknames. And it's one of those Dad nicks where he calls you "Squirt" or "Pipsqueak".
Purple - "Purple Nurple", "Hummingbird", "Purple Plum", "Small fry", "Little Bird", "Stinker", Etc.
TSC - "Hoop", "Donut Kid", "Picasso"
Red - "Furball", "Tiger", "Fists", "Karate-Kid"
Yellow - "Glasses", "Sparks", "Sherlock"
Blue - "Smurf", "Blue's Clues", "Treehugger"
Green - "Hotshot", "Fisher", "Grasshopper"
The Group as a whole: "Skittle Squad", "Power rangers", "Highschool Boy Band"
Everytime this happens and he calls for one of them, it's like a guessing game every time a new nickname is introduced.
And then they make fun of whoever got it.
His list is ever growing.
#This also gives me an excuse to go ham on being silly#they don't like some of their names <3#If you guys have your own hcs about this. feel free to say them in the tags/replies!#asks#alan becker#animation vs minecraft#animator vs animation#avm king orange#avm king#avm mango#avm mt

I don't really get the people who think reading the comics is such a radical idea. Don't they want to learn more about them? aren't they curious what makes them tick? what insane adventures they went on? what fears they have? what makes them laugh and smile? I'm from europe so I haven't seen any of the DC shows I see mentioned every once in a while (which means I really don't get the whole Clark hates clones thing... but that's a different thing) and it's only been this year that I have enough disposable income to splurge on comics, aka I haven't read that many just yet.
But I do think the ones I have read enhance the stories I'm trying to tell, which to me is a good reason to read them ;p but besides that, they are fun! they are just really fun to read
Iâm glad youâre having fun reading comics man! Itâs a shame that folks donât read them as much but you know, I can understand it. I both asked some folks in the Haunting Heroes discord server and have some of my own points to make about this.
First of all I do still believe that you should consume some form of DC media if youâre in the fandom. Itâs fun and there are comics, books, movies, tv shows, and every other form of medium known to man that you can take a peek at! Idk Iâm just a bit DC enjoyer and think that looking at canon media to expand on your knowledge and help create ideas you wouldnât have had if you hadnât looked at said piece of media.
Now onto why reading comic books is hard:
Some folks simply prefer the fandom and not the official DC content. Whether they prefer fanon, find fics more accessible, or like the people in the fandom, theyâd rather just stick to the fandom.
They simply donât know where to start. Getting into comics can be INCREDIBLY overwhelming ( DC has done their best to fix this and has messed up more than once. My go to is to reccomend folks just start reading New 52 comic runs as itâs really good for new readers to jump into the comics with any hero that might intrigue them). Big comic events span multiple comic story runs and not a cohesive line of comics, some omnibuses for stories are out of print, the 80+ years of comics are daunting as hell, and everyone has their own opinion on the best versions of a character/where to start/what to read.
Money. Comics are an expensive hobby to have. They may cost $1-$5 each on average but that price adds up over time. I have a comic collection of roughly 1,300 comics. Iâd estimate its value very roughly around the $7,800 range. Itâs probably far more than that though and I know damn well reselling it I wonât get half of that value back. Iâm very fortunate to be a college student with disposable income and for this hobby to be the only thing I ever really spend money on besides rent and food. Some people either canât afford them or donât want to buy a comic they donât know if itâs good or not.
Varying quality. Comics are a very mixed bag thing where they can be incredibly written or some of the worst pieces of media youâve ever read. With this being the case, it can be really hard to find a comic character or writer you like if thatâs your first experience. It takes a while to learn about different writers and find out who your favorite writers are. Whatâs harder is some writers can make absolute masterpieces with one character and the next comic run they cover it can be absolute garbage. Not only that, everyone has opinions on what is a good comic run or not. Itâs impossible to find a repeatedly stated and easily accessible list on the good comics to read.
Pretentious âCanon is Godâ fans. Experiencing âum actually this isnât good because this isnât how the canon character would actâ responses from people can really fucking suck and diminish their want to experience anything thatâs official DC writing. Iâve seen more than one person go into this primarily fanon focused space and insult people saying their writing isnât canonical and therefore it isnât valid. Itâs Uber Pretentious, demeaning, and actively harms peoples interests in checking out canon content.
Timelines. I already kind of said it but DCâs timelines are a mess. hell, even New 52 has some fucked up timelines making all of Batmanâs previous timelines canon but happen only within a seven year period. Thatâs WAY too short for how much history is packed in there. The amount of crisises that happen and fully change the lore and timelines of characters is bonkers, the comic runs that bounce between different comic runs are really confusing, and the fact that there isnât a True Starting Point for reading makes it so hard to grasp anything thatâs happening. Itâs one of comics biggest issues and no matter what DC has done they have yet to find a convenient solution.
Sensitive Content. Comics from DC are littered with either intentional, badly aged, or ignorantly written plot points and writing choices that will turn away readers. DC has its fair share of sexism, misogyny, abelism, racism, abuse, sexual harassment, sexual assaults, or topics casually addressed that can be very triggering for some people. Especially since a large amount of that sort of content is handled incredibly poorly. One particular writer, Alan Moore, writes sexual assault scenes with absolutely zero tact or the delicateness that a topic such as that should be held in. Itâs almost solely used as a âletâs make the bad guy do the most fucked up thing they could doâ throwaway plot point. Comics of the sort dissuade a lot of readers because of both the heavy content within comics and how that content can be incredibly poorly handled. This is partially why some folks would prefer to read fics. Comics are a unknown mixed grab bag when it comes to content like this and things exactly like this is known to make PTSD symptoms worse while fics have tags and can warn you before you consume the content within.
Time. A lot of folks have busy lives and just donât have the time to read them.
The ways they intake media. Some folks might have a better time watching a long commentary video that explains a comic or their brain canât process the comic medium very well. I can read and retain comic knowledge but even I am unique in this aspect, my memory is frightening levels of bad and is proven by science to be absolute shit. I have to reread comics at least once a month to retain the basic bare bones plot. Just because one person can easily digest whatâs going on in a comic doesnât mean everyone can.
Comics are such a big part of my life. I love them so much and theyâve gotten me through so many things. My own experience with comics isnât the same for others and my thoughts on reading comics differs with other people. A lot of people have equally as many reasons for why they donât read comics as you and I have for reading them.

Regarding Strike as companion... What is his opinion about Illithid powers? How hard is it to persuade him to use them?
He disapproves if you even suggest it, then, it is a DC20 for persuasion, DC15 if you're already romancing him. If you try deception, it's a DC 20 and you're rolling with disadvantage due to him being proficient in medicine. In either case, if you succeed or fail, he will still disapprove - he doesn't care if anyone else takes the worm, he personally just loathes the idea of messing with his already broken brain even more.
Also, his camp clothes.
