Second of all, we got our twitter account back! We ended up deleting that one post that twitter didn’t like (yes, the one that doesn’t have anything explicit or any nudity on it), which obviously sucks, but at least now we can jump back to posting more or less regularly.

And now that this situation is over, I can say about the thing that honestly tickled me: the last person who wrote a callout post on me right before our acc got locked (=the person who very likely caused the massreporting in the first place) got accused of grooming a 13 y.o. and had their account terminated the very next day. What a great illustration of how the fandom climate works, right? Hilarious.

We love first year Rook with first year Idia so much, Anon, you have no idea! And Rook/Idia in general, this is one of the things that I really want to draw properly at least once. For now we only have sketches…

But to answer your question! I like to think that Rook was very intrigued by Idia right away; of course Idia isn’t a beastman, but he is not only super bright and shiny-looking (unusual! Interesting!), but also is a very rare pokemon to see. It’s very easy to picture Rook getting excited and charmed by him, maybe he even had a period of a little obsession~ But of course none of this is in any way returned by Idia; to him being suddenly surrounded by so many loud and annoying people his age is already stressful enough, but Rook is somehow worse than all of them combined. He hates everyone from Savanaclaw, but they’re usually just rude jerks, but Rook? If only he was a rude jerk…

This is such a good question, Anon. It’s honestly still kind of easy to imagine him doing that. He punishes himself constantly, and while I don’t think this is necessarily about control, this absolutely could be about wanting to make himself feel even worse or to distract himself from the other kind of deep pain he’s feeling. Since we’re talking about a character here, as an artist I can also add that seeing him this way could be aesthetically pleasing, there are some very good artworks with this theme.

That being said, we usually tend to think that Idia wouldn’t do that. I agree that Idia being phobic of pain sounds very like him, but also? He is very detached from the physical side of things in general, I think. He would rather torment himself mentally.

Another reason for Idia and selfharm not really working in our heads is that I don’t think Ortho would let him. He is very sensitive to changes in his health condition after all.

People aren’t obligated to reblog your fanfics if they don’t enjoy the writing. You don’t get as much attention because you’re not as known. You haven’t been publishing as long as the “big authors” you pretend to love but then bash them immediately afterwards. It sucks, but you can’t buy people’s affection. You pretend to be more humble than everyone else but then get pissed so easily because you don’t have bragging rights.

i never said everyone has to enjoy my writing. also the Thing is; these big authors have been publishing for longer yeah !! and their writing is absolutely marvelous and i genuinely adore them. but. they also are popular bc they're seen as Better than other creators and put on a pedestal. which is both uncomfortable for them and Highly discouraging for others. and this is due to a cliquey mindset. it Is. as much as u like to pretend it isn't, it rlly rlly is. people can be just friends. there is nothing wrong with supporting ur friends' work more or being more invested in ur friends' work. the problem lies in the fact that many people just disregard other rlly talented creators in favor of the already popular ones (who are popular for a reason. their art / fics / wtv Are really good and i read their stuff too! not trying to put them down here, just trying to lift other people up) which makes for a fandom that is going to die out. and dont u fucking dare bring my fics and my engagement and me into this. maybe i was petty abt that before and i acknowledge that. but i haven't made a single post abt how my fics are getting less engagement in Months. the post i did make and the one ur probably so butthurt abt wasn't even initially abt cliques. it was just saying that we need to rb more and be more vocal of our support of creators in the tags or - wherever. Kiri definitely had a crush on you before you probably- so a year after you both graduated and having lost contact. He’s more then surprised to see you at his office, applying for the position as his sidekick/assistant. You plan his schedule, make sure he has time for quite time, snacks and water on hand for when he gets back to the office. More importantly, you’re constantly in his ear piece while he’s fighting villains. You’re so helpful, even making him gadgets to help capture the villains.

ঌ One day, on a Radom day of the week you two go on your weekly hike. “It’s a bonding exercise” he’s say constantly, like it wasn’t really about him trying to ask you out. But you, just as shy keep it to yourself. He gets tired of that, saying he needs to be manly! So, Kiri asks you out in the middle of your trail, while you’re sweating and aching. He sits there, hands pushed down to pin a villain in place who decide to mess with the wrong people. While the villain shakes in his cuffs, kiri asks you out on a date!

Honestly, the only thing I know works when it comes to building a following anywhere is consistency (posting about the same thing and posting often), and also just not putting all your eggs in one basket. What I mean by that is, to not end up branding yourself as "the tumblr artist" or "the twitter artist", but instead make an account on as many sites you feel you can manage, and post something whenever you can. I use Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram and Artstation, and I'll occasionally post my stuff on subreddits too, if it seems appropriate. You kinda need to know what sort of vibe you want your pages to have too. Like you mentioned, Tumblr for me too is the only place I have where I don't need to be all professional, y'know. I keep all my other accounts very clean, but on Tumblr, I don't feel weird for talking or interacting with people, and I can answer asks and such 😌

I have not had much luck when it comes to being picked up by the algorithm though, so I 100% understand the struggle. For many many years, my "growth" was actually stagnant, and I was even losing followers at one point after switching fandoms. I'm almost certain that's gonna happen again too if I stop drawing Spiderverse stuff...

I have legitimately not experienced anything like what's happening right now though, ever, and it's all very exciting. People have been so sweet and supportive, it literally makes me so happy! I really wish I could've actually giving you some advice, but I honestly just chalk it up to luck at this point. I'm here because I want to share something with you. As you might know, Rosé and Bruno Mars collaborated on a song called APT (I'm in love with that song—it's literally so good! 🤌🏻💗). BTS fan pages or people who make BTS edits have been using that song to make BTS edits, which I think is completely fine. However, some people in the comments section are saying things like, "Why are you using BTS to promote their song?" or "You’re not a real ARMY if you're promoting other groups' songs," or "Why can't you use BTS songs for edits?" etc.

Reading these comments honestly shocked me. Like, what are they even talking about? Just because you love a group doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen to other songs. And who the hell are they to decide who is a "real" A.R.M.Y. or not? Comments like these make it seem like if you like or even listen to songs outside of BTS, it's some kind of crime. Apparently, we’re supposed to stay "loyal" to our idols? Excuse me, but just because I like another song doesn’t mean I'm "betraying" them. What kind of twisted logic is that? Some people act so irrationally; it makes me so angry!

I know that BTS are some of the nicest, most talented, and hardworking people in the world. Their music truly is THE Best, and I love them a lot♥️ But I think it’s completely okay to listen to other songs, or even to have a BTS song I don’t like as much. Music is an art; it’s meant to be felt, enjoyed, and even to inspire us. I don’t think we should have to listen to it just to prove some kind of loyalty.

And honestly, if you try to explain this to those people, they just argue back, thinking they’re being "savage like Suga." Dumbass kids, seriously.

Honestly, truly, I really loved all of your stories, but there’s an honorable mention I want to make….when u wrote Joel’s death as a writing exercise for Fear of God you made me cry so hard, Joel’s death in general makes me emotional and after losing someone myself in a traumatic way it hit even harder. Those feelings of grief and loss were portrayed so beautifully you left me as a pathetic crying puddle 🫠

I promise you one day when I worked through all the other stories I want to also read again I will read your works and give you my thoughts, that’s the other mission I have which is a lot harder because there are so many stories so many but it’s worth it putting in the time because they are all so, great 👍🏻

The murder of sonic the hedgehog is REALLY good. Its definitely got a lot of love packed into it and it shines through the whole thing. Its a favorite because its a little silly but they still work to take the characters seriously (idk. U can tell the devs really loved doing it. I think its all around a fantastic introduction to the series!)

I’ve been hooked on Sonic from a SUPER early age. Like playing on hand me down consoles and stuff. My favorite game ever was sonic and knuckles or sonic 3 and then it was sonic the fighters. And then every game after that until Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) for the xbox 360 came out and despite the glitches and everything else im sure anyone could tell you about it younger me just found it SO striking. Everything about it. I used to sit and watch all the cutscenes on youtube on the family computer like it was my JOB. Idk where the turning point was I’ve played all the other titles except for a couple here and there more recently but I def think you could start where-ever you want!!!

Theres some games I think most people in the fandom would agree are unplayable or just Bad (for any number of reasons, everyone has their opinions! But think like notoriously bad like sonic boom..or specifically sonic colors nintendo ds version) BUT I’m a firm believer that if Sonic 06 specifically didnt have game breaking issues it would have been a masterpiece (look up project 06…! its a labor of love and it made that game feel like what I thought it did when I was itty bitty and more. Beyond my expectations. Genuinely impressive and really shows how much could have been fixed/polished for gameplay/overall) obviously I’m very biased but 06 is something I’ll never get over and I think more people should see Project 06 because the work put into it is immaculate and really showcases what I loved and still love about that game

The fandubs are good! If you’re looking for more watching stuff instead of playing stuff the original remastered Sonic OVA movie is up on YouTube for free and I think you’d really enjoy that too! There’s some design choices (like knuckles just flying for half the movie/not gliding like he would in later titles) that are more timeline based (like they hadnt gotten a firm grasp in franchise what was what yet etc etc) but it really sticks to that charm that drew me in to begin with so its a 10/10 in my book.

Games I think you could start anywhere you’d like (even if people say you’ve GOTTA play x or y or z or whatever you do what you think you’d like) but as a die hard fan you know I’ve got to mention Sonic Adventure 2 or Heroes or one of those. More ‘recent’ games I’ve really enjoyed that didn’t feel rushed/scrapped halfway through.. Sonic Generations is good, Sonic Unleashed is good (and theres a short film called night of the werehog thats official you could watch!) Frontiers obviously is the best I think we’ve gotten in a while narratively.

And im biased but I really. REALLY like sonic and the black knight. I think it being on the wii was a little bad controls wise but it has some charm! The storybook ones (Sonic & The Secret Rings and Sonic & The Black Knight) were super interesting to me when they came out just because it was a fresh art style lol.. Still very charming to me

The Shadow The Hedgehog game will always hold a special place in my heart and I know you like that guy so if you haven’t checked out that game (it has so many endings.) I think you’d personally love it!!

Other than that I think IDW comics are really great if you can get your hands on em! I don’t read them very often if at all anymore but I keep up to date on new characters in gen (more out of interest for the designs and direction theyre going) but if you EVER get the chance to read the arc with the metal virus you absolutely should. All the comics are great but I think you especially would think that arc in particular is incredible

Hoping you just aren’t aware and aren’t doing this knowingly but psa: reposting artist’s work without credit is extremely rude and harmful to the original artist. I understand really enjoying the artwork and wanting to share it with other people, but it’s unfair to the artist because you’re refusing to give them the credit for the thing they’ve made which comes across as very insulting because it implies you’re completely disregarding the work and effort they put into making the piece. It’s also detrimental to the people you share it with because if they like the work, they then cannot go and engage with the artist and discover more work from that artist they can enjoy. It’s also discouraging to artists to see their art reposted and some artists stop creating for certain fandoms or posting their art online entirely because of this. tl;dr reposting artwork without credit AND permission is an extremely negative thing that harms the fandom community, please stop. Please take down the posts you have already made - several of the artists could be on tumblr, and you can follow them here and reblog their works if they’ve posted them here. If you don’t know who the artist is, reverse image searching can help. You can also check in with the artists to ask for permission if there’s a piece you would like to repost. Respect if they say no. Please know I will be reporting all of the artwork you have reposted to the artists I can track down in two days time, not out of malice, but because it’s respectful to the creators and several of the ones I’ve found have already explicitly stated they do not want their artwork reposted.

Sorry, I know it’s disrespectful to repost artwork without credit and I never would if i did actually know who the original artists were. My friend sent me these pictures without credit a while ago, and it have moved phones since I posted it, so anything saying the original artists names are lost as I have wiped and sold that phone.
