Alley Drunk! Danny AU- Part 1
[Pt.2] [Pt.3] [Pt.4]
To not turn into a giant raging asshole hell bent on murdering people and destroying the world after everyone he loved died, Danny had ran from Amity with his chosen vice.
A bottle. That’s right. Even after Jazz’s talks about alcoholism as a poor coping mechanism as a form of self harm, he still chose alcohol. Or maybe that’s why he picked it, because it reminded him of her, right before the booze took the sting of grief off of her memory. He was never really all that good at listening to Jazz.
And now she’s gone, so it’s moot point. Danny really hated Nasty Burger.
Danny made it all the way to Gotham, bottle constantly glued to his hand. It’s better than Vlad’s creep-o-self looming over him all of the time. He bummed out on the streets, fitting into crime alley like a native. Danny learned to pickpocket. Not much, just enough for a bottle when his ran out. He stayed human. At first he tried to convince himself that it was because he didn’t want to be perceived as a meta in a city where Batman notoriously disliked metas. Then, as he sunk deeper, he admitted to himself in a shameful curl of a whisper that it was really because alcohol affected his human side much easier.
Ghosts need an ungodly amount of alcohol to even get slightly buzzed. Danny’s human side? Only one full bottle the shittiest tequila he could find could even hope to be more than buzzed. It sucked.
He’s spent two years being an alcoholic that didn’t actually get that drunk. Technically, underage drinking was a crime. But then again, so was being a vigilante ghost. So, whatever. He does what he can to dull the grief. Mostly, he slept on covered and hidden nooks on top of Crime Alley’s roofs. Gotham city had taken pity on him and cleared her smog clouds when he was awake at night. Stargazing helped, at least. It gave him a little hope. It gave him a little wish to change and better and live like he wants. But then the night ends and when the day comes, Jazz isn’t there. Sam isn’t there. Tucker isn’t there. His mom and dad are not there.
Danny always went back to the bottle, in the end. Not that it did much.
Which was why, when he saw three looming figures over a tiny child, Danny’s saving people thing flared with a vengeance and his surprised ectoplasm burned what little buzz he had achieved by downing most of the bottle away, leaving him stone cold sober and pissed.
Danny sighed, dumping the rest of the nasty tasting liquid out. There’s no point drinking that little.
He approached the trio, who were beating up an actual child. Ancients, he hated Crime Alley sometimes.
“Give me your shit, you little punk!” Asshole 1 decided to say like a typical mugger, raising his leg to kick the curled up kid below. Danny doesn’t let him land the kick, smashing the bottle on the asshole’s head before any of them clocked his presence. He pivots, pushing a bit of that extra strength he normally keeps on a tight leash into his hands, and punched the other two in a quick fashion, knocking them out.
With that taken care of, Danny turned back to the kid who was still curled up. Danny sighed again, the trembles in small shoulders plucking on his heartstrings.
“You okay, kid?”
The kid uncurls, and Danny stared. Holy shit, is he looking into a mirror? Blue eyes, black hair, and tanned skin. Holy shit, he’s even got similar jaws to Danny.
“Huh.”
The kid flinched.
“Y-y’er the drunk,” the kid flinched again, eyes darting to the broken bottle still clenched in Danny’s hand. “I- I ain’t got money, honest. Please-”
Danny blinked down at the kid, brain connecting the dots after so long without actual interaction. He’s panicking and staring at the bottle in Danny’s hand like it’ll kill him. Danny raised the bottle and the kid closed his mouth with a click, terror worming its way into the kid’s eyes.
“I wasn’t going to mug you myself, kid.”
“But- y’er the- the Alley drunk.”
Danny blinked. Did he get a reputation without knowing again? Goddammit.
“I guess. Am I famous or somethin’?”
“Nobody- nobody fucks wit’ ya.”
“I also don’t hurt kids.”
“…”
The kid stared at him dubiously and with a sinking feeling, Danny realized that maybe the kid already had some terrible experiences with a heavy drunken hand. He promptly chucks the bottle further into the alley.
“I drink, yes. But I’m also not the kind of scum that would lay hands on a kid, let alone anyone that didn’t provoke it first.”
“Oh.” The kid uncurled more, looking at Danny warily, more at ease now that the bottle has left the chat.
“Yeah. I’m Danny. Stone cold sober, right now.”
“…”
Danny waited.
“Peters.”
“Okay. Peters, do you wanna take their shit?” Danny pointed a thumb at the knocked out would-be-muggers behind him.
“Y… yeah, sure. What’s my cut?”
“All of it.”
Peters stared.
Danny shrugged and started looting.
"Y'er so fuckin' weird."
----
See, the thing is, Danny hadn't anticipated saving Peters- "'s actually Jason"- would result in having a duckling following him around. The kid, Jason, glared at everyone who even looked at them wrong. But that's not the problem, because Danny could take anyone who took issue with Jason's looks, it's more like there's a child following him around now and Danny doesn't want to be the reason Jason turns into an alcoholic. It's- well, it made him cut down on the drinking. He even got jobs- legitimate jobs that sucks out his his poor ectoplasmic soul.
Why? Because Jason's apparently homeless. While that's something Danny's okay with for himself, he can't ever condone that for an actual child. Jason's walking around in threadbare clothes and thin soled shoes in the middle of Fall, for Ancient's sake.
Danny grumbles as he piled a bunch of clothes into the shopping bag as he checked out. Gotham's Walmart is a different kind of hell, but Danny feels right at home.
Sure, the work might suck out his soul and he might hate being sober, but Jason's face every time he comes home to an actual place to live, warm clothes, and food was worth everything.

DCxDP Fanfic: Shift
Danny wanders down the street, confused.
A few minutes ago, he had been sure that the tour guide and his school group were only a few feet away. They were on the last day of their three-day field trip, covering the history of one of the oldest cities in the USA.
It's not the oldest, but the closest Casper High could offer. Gotham City is much bigger than Amity, but it didn't have anything really interesting about it besides having more things to do. Its only claim of fame was how old some significant buildings were in Old Gotham.
Still, for some students who have yet to leave the small town of Amity Park, Gotham was a thing of wonder. Danny couldn't wait to explore with Sam and Tucker tomorrow on their free day. They were going to walk around the plaza market and the mall.
Gotham's mall had five floors. Five.
Then Danny noticed the hotdog cart just a few feet away from the guide informing the group about the large theater, the first public building in Gotham. He hadn't cared for how many balls were held there or how, a few hundred years later, the building gained a stage and seats.
He gestured to the cart to tell Sam he wanted to buy one. He turned to Tucker, but his friend was genuinely interested in the history lesson and shook his head. Danny figured they would cover for him, so he stepped to the side to buy a hotdog, keeping Tucker and Sam in his provisional vision.
He had just finished putting the ketchup on his food when he realized the sounds of the busy city had shifted. It wasn't that it went silent or anything. It was more like sound traveling from one headphone to another.
But he wasn't wearing earbuds, which made the shifting noise extremely alarming. He looked up and around, but everything seemed to stay the same, except there was less traffic, and the sidewalk wasn't as clean as he initially thought. Also, what happened to the sun? Where did all these clouds come from?
Danny turned to ask Tucker and Sam if a freak storm was supposed to happen, but they were gone. So was the Amity Park group. Swinging his head back and forth, he attempts to spot them in the moving crowd, but he can't spot a familiar face.
How did twenty-seven people move that quickly and silently?
"Hey! You need to pay for that!" The hotdog vendor on the other side of the cart shouts. "The ketchup isn't free!"
"But I just bought these two from you." Danny raises his food so that the man can see the logo of his own cart. The man's eyes widen when he sees it. "I just paid-"
"You little thief! You stole from my cart!" The man sneers. Danny reels back, surprised by the accusation as much as the rage in which the man yells. It seems like an overreaction to the student.
"No, I literally just handed you seven dollars for-" Whatever Danny is going to say is cut off by the man cocking a gun, now aimed at his face. Nearby, a woman screams, and the walking crowd breaks into a run, almost as if it's practice clearing the street in seconds.
Wow, it's a much better reaction time than the people of Amity Park. He would have been impressed if he hadn't had a gun aimed at his face.
"What are you doing?"
"You damn street rats are the reason good upstanding citizens like me are struggling! Go back to your county!" The man hisses, and Danny is confused by the sudden attitude shift of what he previously thought was a friendly vendor to take the gun in his face seriously.
The guy wasn't even that scary, not with that pathetic stance. Danny had learned a better stance by the time he was five, and his father had pointed a gun at him in a more threatening way that one time he was dressed as a rubber duck than this.
Scowling, Danny pushes the gun away with the tips of his fingers. "Rude. See if I give your food any stars."
The man makes the motion to pull the trigger, so Danny moves his hand into a strike, knocking the gun from his grip. In one quick turn, he turns it around and points it at the gawking man with a bored expression.
"I'm going to walk away with my meal now," He tells him, watching sweat gathering on the vendor's forehead. The pulse in the older man is rapidly bouncing around his neck, making Danny smirk.
Hotdog man goes sheet white but shutters out, "Alright."
Danny keeps the gun aimed at him even as he gathers his two dogs in one hand and backs away into the street. It's only when he turns a corner, out of sight, that Danny lowers his weapon.
He texts his friends in the three-way chat they have, asking where they went. When a few minutes goes by without the little read sign next to his words goes by, Danny tries calling them. His phone, however, claims his services are out, making him wonder if his Dad forgot to pay the bill again.
Jack could afford it, but the bill deadline always slipped his mind, and he would like to have to wait till Monday to turn it back on. Sighing, Danny decides to head back to the hotel where the school is staying, thinking it would be better to wait out for Mr.Lancer than get lost in the big city.
He strides down the street, following the same path the group took from the Hotel. As he does so, he notices something odd.
Gotham seems wrong. Darker somehow, and the previously friendly people had all vanished as everyone around him gave him dark, mistrustful glances. Not everyone smiles back when Danny says, "We're strangers, but this is a quick, friendly acknowledgment" smile.
It couldn't be the gun. Danny hides it in his pants, the same way he hides his thermos. No one should be able to tell what he's carrying.
It is strange. He's so busy trying to figure out what happened that he nearly misses the fact that the previously well-kept streets have been replaced with closed-down, decrypted buildings. He does notice that the hotel he was staying at for the past two days was boarded up, looking like it's been years since someone last used it.
"What?" He whispers, checking the large sign twice. It's the same name, but three letters are missing.
"That's what I want to know." A man grunts behind him, causing Danny to wirl around and stare in horror at the approaching police officer. "What are you doing with here?"
"I was staying at this hotel." He tells the other man, too disorientated to notice how silent the street had become. He can spot some people watching from the alleyway despite broad daylight. They were hiding. From what?
"Were you? And how much do you have on you?" The cop asks casually.
"Of what?"
The man rolls his eyes before he suddenly kicks Danny in the stomach. The boy is knocked to the floor with a soft grunt of pain. A stomp on his hand has him screaming in pain, but what really makes him angry is the fingers moving around the back of his hands until they close around his wallet.
Nah, was this cop trying to mug him?
Danny throws up a hand, using the palm of his hand to slam it against the chin of the mugger. The man's head is knocked back, and he tilts over, falling into a dead heap. Danny stands, dusts his clothes, and kicks the cop once.
He looks back to the hotel.
Where should he go now? A few seconds go by, and he can see the people in the alley cautiously start to climb out of their hiding, and he thinks it's better to try to find a phone to call home.
He twists on his heels and marches down the street, unaware of the man in yellow watching from a nearby roof.
The man reaches up to his ear, clicking on his communicator as the stranger looks confused despite knowing where he is going. "This is Signal. I found the guy that triggers the Nest's alarms. He seems trained but can't be, at most, sixteen. He also just took down Jeff, the one Gordon was talking about. Let's keep an eye on him. He looks like radiation grew legs and took the shape of a human. "

Last time was a fluke. A mistake… right?
Danny glanced around him, and looked in the mirror.
He looked the same. He didnt know how he even did it the first time. He had blacked out.
He still inspected himself. No gills or scales.
No glow-in-the-dark white on his skin in vertical lines flanked by black. Besides the usual body hair.
No green freckles. He… he can admit to missing those.
He kept checking daily. For any signs that, that form(?) was creeping back into his day to day.
That stupid ectopus he’s convinced is on ecto-dejecto or ghost steriods kept coming back.
It was to the point Boxy was concerned and ‘guarding his sleep’ (in exchange for origami boxes/cubes. He even made some for Lunch Box).
Danny decided to conk out during one of Lancer’s lessons after another attack the nogjt before.
He’s pretty sure Tapas/Taco is being restrained by his parents in an ecto-proofed tank.
Ancients he hopes so.
Lancer called him back after class, with that stupid ‘i know you are better than this and that accident does not excuse such poor behavior young man’ attitude most of the staff had toward him.
The actual lunch ladies were chill, and therefore his favorite. And Lunch Lady since she took to packing him an extra lunch that Boxy drops off. Something about fighting your food to eat it daily being ‘unacceptable!’
Whatever.
“Mr. Fenton, I understand that you are facing more challenges than your peers, but do try to stay awake in my class.”
“Got it. Blame Tapas.”
“You can’t blame mexican food for all your issues.”
“I don’t—Tapas is the ectopus that’s been obsessed with me and Phantom since the stupid thing showed up. It keeps escaping the Thermos, and i honestly have no clue how to keep him contained long enough to throw it at ecto animal control or ghost jail.”
“… Mr. Fenton, have you considered staying with relatives away from Amity until this issue is resolved?”
“I literally can’t.” His core sank at the idea. “Ecto contaminated and dependent. Medically speaking, until portable ecto is something that can be handled over long distances, I can’t leave for more than a hundred days, give or take, before dying.” No matter how much he wanted to at times.
Mr. Lancer frowned at him. “If possible, would mixed in-person and online schooling be something you’d be amenable to? I can speak with your parents and arrange alternative student success plan, but its clear the situation won’t improve unless better accommodations are put in place.”
Danny opened and shut his mouth. “If I can get them here, sure.”
“Excellent. I would like to continue your classes with myself in person to better monitor your progress, or we can do tutoring after school or during my usual block for Saturday detentions.”
Danny nodded in a daze.
Then something crashed in through the window.
“Adventures of Tom Sawyer!”
Danny threw himself against a wall, trying to get Taco off him, only to get pulled through a wall, and further.
Hey tried scrambling for something to grab, but he phased through everything and he couldn’t go ghost in front of everyone seeing him get kidnapped by an extra annoying octopus.
The fact it was being filmed made it Worse.
Fuck.

The Banshee, a JL mystery
A foreign case was being discussed by the Justice League, in general it was not bad, just rare.
It began a couple of months ago, a tourist had come to Star City, but he did not visit the city, he did not even register, he just pop out of nowhere, went to the cemetery, and apparently the cameras recorded him placing flowers in all the tombs and talking with the air or with some of the people engraved in the stones, they were not sure of it.
The strange thing was that the cameras around him were always corrupted, they needed the JLD to even stabilize the image, and ¿was that not worrying? They assumed that something supernatural was following him, the boy looked strictly human, but even the trackers that they tried to put were damaged around him.
Unfortunate for the entire league, although they had the guy features, the image was not clear enough for facial recognition.
The corrupted sound of the camaras sounded like a wail, or a cry, Constantine commented it remembered him to a banshee, so they started to call him "The Banshee" even if Zatanna told them Banshee were strictly women, it stayed.
The wave of visits continued, the boy went through Central City, Metropolis, Washington, Gotham, but it was later where something relevant happened again.
Jason was visiting his own grave when he noticed the boy, he tells, he cared because the young man seemed disconsolate looking at the graves, even yearning if that had some sense.
"Did you know him?" It may be the case of B, but it still had him intrigued. Also, the guy was looking at his grave, he felt like he have the right to ask.
"No, but you could say I already did" the boy sighed, stroking the stone of the tomb "I would also like it-..." Danny stopped, he should not be telling his problems to the owner of the tomb "Ah, no matter, it's good to know he was loved"
Jelousy, the reason why Danny visited the cemeteries was to calm himself, surrounded by what he wants but can not occur, to cry as no one cried for him, Clockwork always said that a part of him died at the moment nobody pay attention to his death, and ¿wasn't that funny?
"¿How do you know?" If someone asked Jason, he would affirm that it was uncomfortable to talk about himself as if he was still dead, but he couldn't do anything about it now.
"Well, he's buried and has a proper resting place, they keep bringing him flowers even though the inside of his grave is empty, you can see the recently removed earth; Many of the dead don't have that luxury, their bodies left somewhere, the missing people were never given a proper burial, I don't know man, ghosts can't build their own graves ¿you know?" He was probably ranting and he knew it, but Danny was tired, he wanted that too, and it was such a stupid rule not to be able to give himself his own resting place, but he wasn't going to burden Jazz, Sam, or Tucker with giving him a funeral.
It was the reason he did this, why he visited cemeteries, laid flowers and talked to the resident ghosts, he wanted to know the feeling, wanted to know what he had lost, wanted to be mourned too.
"Anyway, nice to meet you Nosaj Ddot, be a little grateful for what you have, ¿okay? I know some who would kill for it" he smiled ruefully, starting to pick up his basket of flowers, he had already made his rounds anyway. It was probably time to go back to Amity Park.
"¿Nosaj? What are you talking about-" but the boy was already gone, disappeared into thin air, his communications re-established at the same moment that he noticed his damaged tracker right next to the grave, a short circuit.
"The banshee ¿uh?, he sure is an interesting guy, maybe the League is really onto something this time."

"He Taught Me That the Hand That Feeds Deserves to be Bitten When it Beats"
-The Hand That Feeds By The Crane Wives
Alternatively!
Corporate Greed Strikes Again
TWs: Corporate Greed, Kidnapping, Human Experimentation, Torture, Violence, Blood, starvation
Danny was running away, it was getting to dangerous in Amity for him to stay. There were new rogues every other day getting more and more powerful as they popped up. The GIW had gotten even more competent in their weapons making, but not in their situational awareness. Just the last week, he had gotten shot at least seven times keeping civilians safe.
For the safety of everyone in Amity, it was bet for him to leave.
For good.
So he packed a bag, made sure there were no current loose ghost, made sure no one was inside Fenton Works, and then promptly blew up the portal with a modified ghost shield to keep the damage to a minimum. Unlike others, he was well aware of where people were and how the could be killed.
So now that everyone thought him dead, he ran. To where? He didn't know. But he needed a pit stop somewhere to get some food. Danny landed on the roof of a building reaching for a map he had stored somewhere in his bag. Shuffling things around he couldn't seem to find it.
"Damn, must've dropped it," Danny muttered. Turning, he only got a second to look at the blur coming for him, but then Danny only knew darkness.
---------------
Danny runs away when theres more and more causalities in Amity. He blew up Fenton Works while inside to make it seem like he died, and to those that did know about Phantom, dead dead.
He makes pit stops, and at one point accidentally cuts himself as Phantom and leaves not knowing there was ecto left behind.
A scientist about to get fired from some big corp trying to get green/clean energy stumbles upon it, and thinks its his big break.
Soon he had the entire company board on board with his idea, no matter that it could be breaking meta laws and could get them all life in prison.
The hunt for the unsuspecting meta, one Danny Phantom, was on.
And then when the bounty hunters, somehow getting their hands on ecto weapons (Maybe the GIW donated them? Maybe they had commissioned them from the Fentons? who knows) get a ping of his location? They sent their best hunter and got poor Danny.
Danny soon wakes up and realizes that "Oh no, where am I?!"
He soon learns that is the least of his worries.
Danny is then tortured, and the people soon realize he has a human side, so they quickly modify the ghost chains to make sure he stays a ghost.
He then Bites a guard and is then muzzled.
The Big Corp soon starts draining him of his ecto while trying to figure out how his body produces it
After all, he who controls the supply controls the market
So while Danny can't turn back into a human, in a low ecto rich environment, and constantly being drained of what fuels his ghostly body, he begins to feel the effects of starvation, because "Ghost are dead, they don't need human shit." and quote.
Well Danny was a special lil halfa and needed food in order to fucking survive
Soon, his hazmat suit starts to become baggy, not fitting anymore and it slowly progress until his eyes start to become clear, becoming the pure ecto green of his flesh in blindness, his bodies way of trying to conserve enough energy until he can get out.
The scientist, seeing the green eyes immediately rip one out, wanting to see if his eyes had a more concentrated ecto that they could use. They quickly learn, no, its clear and has little to no ecto.
Danny's voice has stopped working a long time ago at this point.
The Bats then notice a once failing Clean energy company suddenly thrive.
They investigate and are disturbed to realize that they are using a purified Lazarus water as the main fuel.
They then hunt down the source building and sneak into it, trying to find the source
Bruce is then distracted, going down a heavily guarded hallway unnoticed.
He opens what could only be a vault door, then peering through a black netting with a green sheen, he see's Danny.
Tumblr media
What happens after that? Idk but if someone wants to pick up they can :D

Justice League never helped Amity Park.
Why?
They genuinely didn't need any help, it was one of the most normal and safe town in America.
Other than Jack Fenton on the road hazard but it's not like he can break walls with his orange jeep, is it? It's too little to get JL on it.
Okay, so what does Phantom do right outside of the Watchtower drinking Capri sun? Is it related to how horrified Flash is, running around meeting room like he tries to wear down the floor?
Why yes, absolutely. You see dear traveler, Ghost child is just not from this timeline.
He is from the other one. The intense one. The one, where Amazonians were at war with Atlanteans, where there was no line Batman wouldn't cross, where doctors Fenton didn't stop their research after their dearest friend had accident.
Yeah, that's the one. One that Barry created by saving his mother and the one he allegedly destroyed.
How do they tell the stressed ghost child that timeline he lived in ceased to exist?
*~*~*
Maybe I'm not clear enough but yeah. Phantom is from other timeline but as I heard, Dan shoved time medalion into Danny's chest so now our boi has wonky relationship with time. When Barry erased "wrong timeline", Danny got yote into his time and was confused. Like, one day he wakes up in the middle of the nowhere because of some shit and isn't even surprised at first but then realises something is off. Especially when he gets to the nearest town. Things are all sorts of wrong, like:
There is less ambient ectoplasm in the air.
Meme references are just not right.
There is no supernatural war.
Nobody is trying to post mortem murder him for being a ghost.
There are a lot more heroes and the ones he knew are different, like, why is Batman suddenly so much against killing?
So he goes of to find Amity and see which one's of the ghosts bullshit he has to clean up this time, only to see his city... Normal? Happy even? No broken pavements or anti ghost tech? No teenage stans? No alive food? His parents are more of the local handymen than mad scientists?! There is SECOND HIM, who isn't a ghost in the slightest?!
WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED AND HOW DOES HE FIX IT?!
Because yeah, this world seems nicer than real one, but he just can't stay here. Ghosts are probably wrecking havoc in his Amity again and he needs to get back now.
Just question is how, because it starts to look like whole new world and not some weird hallucination or Desiree doing her shit again. However so much things is similar that he assumes it's different timeline. He dealt with these before, once, but he managed. He just needed to find this Clockwork guy that showed up last time and learn what he has to do to fix it.
Wait, his parents here didn't made portal and Vlad didn't either because they're actually kind of trisome (ew) and he didn't have enough time. That's alright, Danny was raised in the shadow of the portal, he knew everything about it by heart. He could built it on his own.
Wait, portal needs and sacrifice. Can he use this world's himself as a sacrifice? He could probably ask these heroes for help but on the other hand he really doesn't want to do this to him. Being Phantom majorly sucks ass and he is jealous but he knows better than to destroy other his life over it.
Before he can resolve his dilemma, something he does pings Justice League's radar and Flash is send to investigate. Thank ancients it's him because allegedly other heroes wouldn't really get it. But it was Flash who somehow gets at least part of it, gives him a food and takes him to the space station (in space!). Now they have meeting about him and he has best view of stars he could ever imagine. Even though they're a little different than he remembers from back home.
.
Hope you enjoyed this little idea and maybe can add to the shenanigans. Comments and reblogs are whole yours.
I hope I'm englishing correctly and won't see too many spelling or grammatical mistakes when I wake up in the morning
Have a great whatever part of day it is to you

Danny may 2024
Day 20 Pitch au/Day 21 Funeral/ Day 22 Song Lyric
Pitch au, mayor character death, full ghost au,
I'll keep making you proud
Tumblr media
song used;
FNF- Hit Single- Silly Billy
youtube
Danny's still a human, humans can die and owls too
Danny Fenton was Amity Park's greatest hero, he was the most efficient of all the 4 Fenton, his team was formidable with the help of informatic genius Tucker Foley and medium Sam Manson who could talk to the ghost and persuade some of them to go in a pacific way, instead of fighting an unfair fight against Danny Fenton and his multiple weapons, the trio and their pet owl Spooky were unbeatable.
Or so they thought...
When the ghost king invaded the world because of an eccentric billionaire who wanted to use the ghost's power to be the absolute king of both humans and ghost, the king was no fool and such disrespectful act made him declare war to human kind after executing that human who provoked him of course.
His parents build a mecha suit/ ecto skeleton to take the king down and despite their protests about their right to use their invention first, all citizens and the government agreed on one thing:
Danny would be the one to use it.
-------"I'll make you say "-------
Even the best trained soilders in the guys in white recognized if someone had a chance to defeat Pariah Dark, it was Danny, the boy who has taken so much responsibility in his life, accepted this mission instantly, Sam had a bad feeling and she made it clear through the telekinetic link she shared with Danny, despite Danny being worried too, he could not let down the whole world, the entire human race.
He went straight into the heart of battle, all governments agreed to use military force to battle against the kings army, the human kind were together as one against the menace, so the ghost were, out of fear and with anyone more powerful to rely into, all ghost were forced to join into the ghost king's army.
Humans could barely hold them back enough for Danny to face the king.
------------" How proud "-----------
Danny punched first, he was faster and landing blow after blow with the cheers of Spooky who refused to be left behind in this mission, the king was getting tired and the whole humanity was cheering their hero as well for every blow, every bom exploiting in the King's face, every ectoranium dagger being dig in the King's back.
But one touch from the king's fist...
Was enough to provoke a fatal error in the machine...
------------" You're of me"-------------
The energy draining was getting to ridiculous levels, the heat inside the mecha suit was getting so unbearable, it was making Danny's skin get second degree burns, Spooky was dying suffocated, Danny's mind was full of pain and panic, unable to move, until he saw something horrible...
The king was getting up.
Danny could not bear it, he could not allow it!, He controlled the mecha one more time, the gripping of his hands so tight in the boiling controllers, it made them permanently stick his skin in them, Danny gave a battle cry as he charged with all the machine's and his energy left, a mechanical arm of the mecha extended with ectoranium daggers pointing at the ghost's core.
The tired and hurt ghost king had no time to react when the machine pierced his core breaking it into pieces and de stabilized in a pool of ectoplasm on the floor, with their mission complete all the remaining ghost of Pariah's army melted as well, the ones forced to battle, fleed and all the human kind cheered and celebrated in that moment, cheering for their hero.
Until a loud explosion could be heard from Pariah's castle.
-----------"So, stay awake"-----------
Everyone knew what it meant, Danny was just a human, a human with extraordinary ability, but just a regular human who could not flee that fast to avoid such a big explosion, every person in the battle field and those able to watch the fight lowered their heads and hats to remain in silence a couple of minutes in honor to the fallen hero.
His family and friends could not stop crying but they knew the risk, they were almost ready for this, the one who got totally destroyed is Sam...
Every government cooperated to make the most beautiful and honorable public funeral for the boy, building an statue of the hero and his owl in every single capital city on the world, he may be gone but never forgotten.
-----"Just long enough to see "-----
As time passed by, ghost activity slowly returned, the king may be dead, but new and old ghost don't mind about the fact humans beaten such a powerful ghost at all.
The Guys in white and the Fentons have been joining forces and recruiting people to combat the menace.
But it was no use, they could not prevent all invasions, ending with people who got hurt or died during said attacks, even some of them turned into ghost too.
The feeling of dread and despair in all Amity Park was strong enough to awaken something.
---------------"My way"-----------------
There were memorials and tombstones all around the world for the hero who saved us from the ghost king, Washington D.C. had the most beautiful and expensive one since it had the boy's body, but his family and friends insisted to have a headstone in Amity Park, so they build a commemorative one, according to Sam's request about how he told him once he would like something simple, Amity Park's headstone was the most simple and classic one, some citizens of Amity Park thought this was disrespectful, but they could do little, since no one was as close to him like Sam was.
People of Amity Park know the only place ghost don't even touch is Amity Park's cemetery, they like to associate it with the legendary ghost hunter, in any way, people like to use it as an unusual sanctuary to ironically hide from ghost and some new ghost hunters use the boy's headstone to ask for guidance, this kind of use even caused people to forget Danny was a teenager of 14 years old and not a full grown man.
So, when despair and grief got stronger and stronger in said graveyard, the graveyard not only became a sanctuary for humans, it's said the proctetor's ghost came back from the grave with his loyal companion.
And he was devoted to protect the town.
Ghost attacks reduced for every time a citizen said they saw a ghost boy with a ghost owl in a motorcycle.
Ghost hunters never trusted this ghost, any of them but just one...
An old agent, head of both the Fenton Works and the Guys in white who says with all the confidence in the world...
Danny came back...
-----------My way-------------

AU??
The Fenton’s aren’t exactly ghost hunters, but rather more of ghost researchers. They aren’t very pleased with the laws and acts labeling all ghosts as inhumane when some of those ghosts were once as human as they are. They want to study ghosts, yes, but unlike the GIW, they want to be able to speak with them. They want to learn all they can in a more peaceful manner. And one day, they get that chance.
A breakout occurs at a GIW site miles away and the town is warned of a Level 10 outbreak. The Fentons set out to try to recapture the ghost first to see if they can communicate peacefully with them. Instead of some big, eldritch horror, their tracking devices lead them to what appears to be a 14 year old boy injured, ectoplasm and blood seeping through his wounds.
I haven’t figured out what happens next T_T Also, the reason I put question marks at the top is because my prompt list that stems from this isn’t exactly solid Or committed to this AU 100%.
Prompts!
Sure, it was odd that two kids new to Amity Park suddenly showed up were interested in ghosts, but who was Jack to refuse a lecture or lesson on what he knows about ghosts? Their questions are very good ones, asking things such as “What do they eat?” “What’s their biology?”, ect. They seemed very curious about the anatomy of ghosts, though it seems almost nonexistent.
One day, Maddie began questioning Tucker and Sam’s home lives, though it made it clear she was only trying to make sure they have a place to stay seeing as they appeared out of nowhere. The family started giving them food to take home with them, wherever it was, and offered them to stay the night if they ever needed. Despite their reassurances that it wouldn’t need to happen, they appear one night asking if the offer still stood. But they weren’t alone. Struggling to stay awake in Tucker’s arms was a boy with black hair and several injuries, many of them seeping out both blood and ectoplasm.
Prompt 2
Trying to convince a recently escaped level 10 injured ghost boy that the space-themed plushie you were offering him for emotional support wasn’t a weapon or trap was tougher than Jazz expected. But then again, she never expected it to happen to begin with.
Prompt 3
Maddie never really thought about adoption. She believed her family to be complete with her loving husband and amazing daughter, but after a while of seeing Danny safe and happy in their house, she knew now that she was going to adopt this child no matter what the GIW have to say about it.

Grain
Part of this series.
Danny had agreed to look for the missing grain and grain silos.  He cared, both about Amity as a whole and about specific people in it.  Appearance aside, he wasn't a heartless monster.  He wanted to help with a desperation that may have either been a symptom of being stuck for so long.
Unfortunately, he wasn't sure how.
Beyond the fact that the silos were gone, replaced by trees, Sam and Tucker didn't have any more information.  They also stressed that they didn't expect him to go out and try to get the grain back or fight giant grain monsters.  Sam just wanted him to keep an eye out and tell them if he saw anything..
But Danny itched to do more.  He wasn’t satisfied by just sitting around and watching, even if, realistically, that was all he could do.
Well.  The watching part.  Not the sitting around part.
He’d explored his immediate area, the space around his cozy ruin, fairly well.  It wouldn’t hurt to go further afield.
It probably wouldn’t hurt to go further afield.  He hadn’t thought it would hurt to help Tucker impress Sam, either.  It had.  But Danny could do things now that he couldn’t before, and he could always run and hide.
He made a small note and set it down on the little table in his little house, so that if Sam or Tucker came to visit while he was away, they would know.  Then he left.  There wasn’t exactly anything stopping him from going whenever and wherever he pleased, after all.  No family to worry, no responsibilities to keep up with, no provisions to gather, no borders keeping him in, other than the edges of the woods themselves.
He leapt up into the trees, and trotted along the branches as a forest cat, leaping easily from tree to tree whenever there was a gap.  Shapeshifting came to him more and more easily as time went on (as long as he stayed in the trees, that is), and he’d tried out a lot of different forms, but, surprisingly, he liked being a cat.  Maybe that was just because it was the first shape he’d ever shifted to, after being changed into… whatever he was now.  But it had a lot going for it.  Small, fast, good at hiding, good at climbing, good at jumping, decent natural weapons, sharp ears and eyes.
Magical places were unmappable, but they weren’t unnavigable, and Danny was well aware when he left his explored bubble.  His fur stood on end in anticipation at first, but with a conscious effort, he slicked it down.  If something did attack him, he didn’t need to be that fluffy.
He wasn’t scared.
Just excited.
He climbed unfamiliar trees, skirted clearings and small ponds, and, in fits of whimsy or boredom, chased strange rodents.  He did not get lost.  The sense of where home was pressed gently against the back of his mind, in the same place his awareness of the trees and their help rested.  He wondered if that sense of home was from the trees, too, or from something else, and he briefly jumped to the ground to test it.
At once, he felt his body change.  Longer, a bit sharper, more triangular.  He could see his pointed muzzle more easily, and while the pattern of his fur seemed to be the same, black with white points, it was sleeker.
He was a fox.  He was fairly confident he was a fox.  His tail seemed unnaturally long, however, and he wasted a few minutes twisting to look at it.
There was also something on his head, growing between his ears, something partially rigid and partially soft that brushed against his peripheral vision.
Danny did not like losing control of his shapeshifting.  He hated being trapped in unfamiliar bodies at the whim of the Woods.  Usually, he’d jump back up into the trees as soon as he could.  But… He was also curious, darn it.
Padding around roots and through the underbrush, Danny backtracked to a pond he’d seen before and peered into his reflection.
He was a fox.  There were also branches growing out of his head, no longer than his ears, antler-like and heavy with densely-clustered snowy flowers, leaves, and shiny little black and white fruit.
Huh.  He wondered what those tasted like.  He raised one paw and batted at the fruit.  There was a tiny, pinching pain as one, black and gleaming, detached and rolled on the ground.  He sniffed it.
He… probably wouldn’t be poisoned by something his own body had produced, right?  A person could even drink their own urine without much issue, if the circumstances demanded it…
Delicately, he picked up the berry with his lips, then crushed it against the roof of his mouth with his tongue.  It was sweet, but otherwise had the same sort of metallic tang as blood.  Weird.
… Was his blood in those?
A shriek split the air.  Human.  Terrified.  Danny stiffened, ears rotating, trying to get a better idea of where the sound had come from.
He shivered, all his fur standing on end as he experienced what he could only describe as a tiny tug on his entire being.  He took off, slipping through gaps in the trees easily, as if he knew this part of the Woods intimately, despite never having been here before.
Only moments later, he hit what looked like the beginnings of a campsite.  A group of humans - a small merchant family, maybe, three adults and children - stood with their backs against a tree as wolves circled closer.
Danny called them wolves, because he didn’t know what else to call them.  They were too big, too dark, and their coats flickered green.  He slid in between them and the humans, snarling and instinctively reaching for a shape like the ones in front of him–
There was a sensation not unlike something not unkindly slapping his mental hands away.  No, said the thing in the back of his mind.  That one has killed.  Danny couldn’t have it, couldn’t be it.  He shifted his focus to one of the others, and grew into the general shape, his antlers not disappearing, but going sharp and thorny.  He felt brambles with thick, sharp thorns wend their way out of his flesh and wrap around his limbs like armor.
He snarled again, this time much deeper.
The wolves snarled back, but except for the first, the leader, they backed away.  Danny and the wolf circled each other for a few minutes, sizing each other up, then they leapt at one another, biting and clawing.
The wolf was strong, and used to being itself.  But Danny was strong, too, and the Woods let him cheat.  The wolf stumbled away from him, whining and showing its throat.
Danny sniffed and jerked his head to one side.  There should be a herd of deer in that direction, much better to eat than humans.  The wolves were animals, not people, not intelligent in the way people were, but in the same way the Woods let him know things, it let him whisper things.  The wolves left, tails between their legs.
Good.  Good.  Danny had never exactly done anything like this, but thank goodness no one was hurt.  He turned to see if any of the travelers had been hurt and–
An iron pot hit his shoulder, making him stumble and yelp.
“Get– Get away!  Get out of here, monster!”
A rain of other small objects that the humans had to hand pelted him, and he fled without further prompting, shrinking, shrinking, not knowing or caring what he was turning into until his paws became wings and carried him into the nearest tree.  At once, he resumed human shape, and huddled in on himself.
He’d forgotten.
He’d forgotten, which was ridiculous, because everything about him should have been a reminder.
… Sam and Tucker made it easy to forget.
(At least no one had gotten hurt.  He could still hang on to that, couldn’t he?)
He spent that night in the tree, but not the next.  Crying and sulking in trees was not a good coping mechanism, and he had better things to do.

Danny leaves Amity Park and Earth to commit to his rile as Ghost King
Ok I can’t lie to yall it’s one am and I wanted to write danny becomes ghost king and moves to the realms but misses school so asks William Lancer to skype call him during class so he can still be there. But I got very off track. Like I think I wrote a character study of jazz? I had to force myself to stop no joke. I could write this way forever but I think it’s kinda boring to read when I write in this style.
Anyway rambling here it is
Danny becomes the high King of the Infinite Realms and tries his hardest ti balance it all with his human life but it’s too much. He can’t keep up. His parents start putting more and more pressure on him. Plus their hatred if Phantom and ghosts has gone from a 10 to one hundred. Jazz thinks their obsessed, like their in love but with the idea of destroying Phantom. She no longer tries to give Danny a false hope of them accepting him as a halfa. Like he can’t see that. Every time she pulls him out if the kitchen, the living room, the lab. Hell every time Danny walks down the hall and one ih his parents join him, theres Jazz. As if summoned. Shes made it her mission to keep Danny from them and when she can’t she will do her best to make sure hes not alone with then. He thinks it’s a bit extreme and secretly is so glad for it. It’s like shes telling him his feelings are justified and that hes not crazy for being scared of his parents. That he doesn’t have to have the same fear of her. Shes on his side. Shes protecting him. And it’s nice. To be the one protected for once.
So they make a plan for him to leave. The Realms arent going ti give up or go away so he might as well go there. At least if hes nit running from his new responsibilities as Ghost King then they wont have to track him down and dump it in him once it’s piled up too much to be ignored. Hes already told Jazz hes not going ti pass up the crown. Imagine the good he can do as King. Plus hes promised that if he needs any help he will ask. So she helps him go. Their parents hardly notice when Danny disappeared from their house. Their obsession, their devotion, to Phantom has completely blinded them. Jazz is only staying because she is so close to finished here so wont have ti stay long. Less than a year and she can go off to any college she wants. Her grades are proof enough that she knows she wont tied to them and their money. She will be dependent of them and make a name for herself completely unrelated to them. These monsters who have taken her parents place.
She does wish she noticed sooner. Make she could have spared Danny so much pain and trauma had she just seen the signs. It was so clear to her now that this was their path. With every passing day she should have seen what they would become. But children love their parents regardless of goodness and she wanted to, no needed to believe they would do right by Danny. That no her parents wouldnt try to turn their son into a science experiment and strap him to a table and cut him open. She so craved and longed for a normal stable family. Something she no doubt learned doesn’t exist while studying physiology. She can’t blame herself. She knows it’s not her fault. She is still a child and still loved her parents. Even now as she makes plans to leave them and never come back to them. Even now she loves them. ‘Maybe im making a mistake’ ‘am I doing the right thing?’ The doubts pour into her mind. Then she sees them or talks to them and is once again reminded of why shes doing this. She has no doubts about if she can do it. She is smart and resourceful. She can easily make it on her own with a full ride to pretty much any collage. She would earn money as a tutor still and maybe even write articles online for cash, shes already got some offers, but that little voice in her mind still nags at her that they’re her parents and they love her. Maybe they used to but she knows they only care about one thing. Their “work” or their “science” in reality it’s their obsession. Ironic how they are like ghosts with their obsession controlling them. Unable to do anything else, think about anything else, until is fulfilled. If they just achieved their goal they would let up and maybe even return to their family. Minds no longer unable to sleep due to thoughts of their target. But Jazz could never let them. The price of her loving parents is the life of her sweet little brother. What a choice for a 17 year old to make. Have the family she was promised from all the media she had as a kid, showing familys of understanding and endless love. Or lose any hope of loving parents to help her little brother have his own loving family.
The choice was clear. She would sacrifice anything for him after all. If he asked her to give up her human life and join him in ruling the Realms she would have. Hell if he asked her to become a halfa she would have. This sweet boy whos willing to give up everything for everyone else deserves at least that. The hero who is not loved for his acts but despised, hated even, by those who he protects. A crueler fate even that his whole being obsessed with protecting them. Even if he wanted to give up on them he couldnt. She doesn’t even think hes capable of wanting to give up on protecting them. His ghost obsession keeps him from it. So she will give to the giver. He deserves just that.

I’ve been trying to think of a good fake fic title, except they all keep getting Unreasonably Long, so uh… how about “one foot in the grave”? I think that’s the shortest I can manage lol
send me a made-up fic title and I’ll tell you what i would write to go with it:
(I feel you on that, Nonnie. Keeping titles reasonably short can be hard lol)
Mmmmm.
One Foot in the Grave, huh?
Amity Park knows about Danny's accident. It's talked about in whispers but the boy seems fine. A little shaken, a little quieter, but alright. Things happen right? Kids get into things they shouldn't.
There's no real investigation, no real concern. Life moves on.
The kids at Casper High know better.
Amity Park isn't terribly huge. They aren't small either, but some nebulous middle ground. There's two small elementary schools across town from each other, a central middle school and the corresponding high school. It's more than enough for the kids of Amity. The town stays pretty steady, population wise. There's not much expanding, not many new people.
It's quaint.
The kids know better than that, too.
Most of them have known each other since they were five or six years old. There's a few transfers, a few kids that were homeschooled young and then brought in. The point is, for all that Danny and his friends kept to themselves, they were still known.
And after Danny's accident, things were never the same.
Something changed. Beyond the shock of a near death experience, beyond the fickle swings of puberty.
Something was wrong.
And then it's clear somethings wrong with Amity too. There's ghosts all around, attacking. There's hunters, appearing out of no where. The Fenton's research is suddenly everywhere. Amity Park is haunted.
The kids at Casper High look at Danny and wonder.
Things change again when the kids realize that not all the ghosts are bad or evil. Poindexter just wants a friend, wants no one else to be bullied like he was. Some students start asking him for help on homework and he's thrilled. Catches up on the curriculum and seems to come to life. The bullies--even Dash--back off. It's hard to bully when looking into the face of a kid who never made it out of high school alive because of his own bullies.
Ember just wants her music to be heard and she is good. Once people are no longer brainwashed, people still listen. Her music ends up on the radio, there's mostly clear videos of her on the internet and no one's quite sure how.
There's more. Johnny 13 and Kitty, the Box Ghost, Youngblood and his crew, even Skulker are seen as less than a threat to the kids of Casper High. It's clear that even Phantom has a understanding with them.
It's one the adults don't understand. It's one they refuse to listen. The hunters aren't enough. They aren't stopped it, aren't keeping the children of Amity Park from interacting with ghosts. The GIW is losing government backing due to lack of progress and unfounded research.
The adults call in the Justice League. The Fentons fume at the intrusion, but hope that some official backing will help the kids of Amity Park see the truth. Ghosts can't be trusted, they can't feel, they can only lie.
When the Justice League arrives, they're faced with most of the population of Casper High.
The students will not let the League or the Fentons or any other ghost hunter harm what they don't understand. They don't completely get it either, these kids, but they do know it's too easy to belong to the Ghost Zone. It's too easy to die.
They look at Danny. They know. (not that he's Phantom, not that halfas exist, but they know his accident was worse than anyone would believe, that he's seen things they can't understand, that he sets off ghost hunting equipment.)
Amity Park's children stand with ghosts. They stand (quietly) with Danny.
We all have one foot in the grave, they say, would you hunt us? Would you look at us and call us fakes? Would you believe your equipment, this untried, untested, unreviewed research?
The JLA has no idea what they just stepped into, but it's clear these kids aren't giving up a thing.
It's equally clear neither are the adults.

Dannymay Day 22+28: Cryptid au+Campfire
Oh, well hello there traveler! You’re out awfully late. There are lots of nocturnal creatures in the forest you know. Would you like to stay at my inn? The cabin is just a little ways away. Excellent! Well you shouldn’t look for it alone. I was just enjoying this here fire. If you want to go now I’ll put it out, but if you want to join me for a bit I certainly wouldn’t mind the company.
Really? I guess you would want to take a break from walking. Take a seat on that log over there. Marshmallows are right over there if you wanna roast one. Kinda chilly tonight huh? A new moon too. Perfect night for a scary story. You know any? Well that’s ok, I know plenty, let’s see… you’ve heard about Bigfoot? Bloody Mary? Danny Phantom? No? Well then, we have our story.
Not to far from here, in Amity Park, lived a family of ghost hunters. Their friends called them the Fentons. Everyone else just called them crazy. They were a mom and a dad with two kids, a 16 year old girl and a 14 year old boy. Odd as they were the parents were geniuses, making all sorts of effective ghost catching tech. Well one day they built a portal to the Ghost Zone. It was flawlessly made, with just one small issue. They forgot how to turn it on. They decided it was a failure and left it unattended.
Only a week later their 14 year old, Daniel, or Danny as he preferred to be called, was hanging out with two of his friends. Maybe he was dared, maybe he was just curious, but for one reason or another Danny decided to look at the portal his parents abandoned. He put on the suit his parents gave him and walked around inside. When he didn’t find anything he leaned against the wall. He discovered the fatal design flaw. The on switch was inside the portal.
FLASH! The portal turned on. Did something weird to his insides. Real weird. Rewrote the code of his very being. He woke up on the floor. His eyes were glowing green and his hair was whiter than snow itself. He was a ghost! Things only got stranger when he realized he wasn’t just a ghost. With a bit of willpower he could go back to being a human kid. Well, sorta.
Using his occult powers he protected the town from ghosts, over and over again. Not only that but he protected ghosts from the town. That’s when Danny Phantom was born. Some people, including his parents, thought he was a fraud. Pretending to be heroic just to betray the everyone at the last moment! For the most part he was thought of as a hero. That’s how things stayed for a while. Everyone was fine with their new normal. Took them some time to realize that normal was anything but.
Ever since the beginning one kid, I think his name was Wes? He noticed something had been off about Fenton. His eyes looked like taxidermy, perfectly real, but somehow lifeless. All the pink of blood flow had been drained from his face leaving a sickly pale. Overtime he stopped tanning and his skin burned easily. Then there was the way he moved. Fast, jolty, like someone moving a puppet for the first time.
Wes knew he was Phantom right off the bat. Everyone else? Well, I think deep down they knew it too. But they were all still in denial. No one wanted to think Danny was dead, or worse, not quite dead. They called Wes crazy and tried to ignore his words. Until the day came when they couldn’t anymore.
Even after only a few months it was clear to see Danny wasn’t aging. His appearance didn’t change at all. His hair and nails didn’t grow, his eye bags didn’t leave, he never got bruised, at most he would get a cut but he wouldn’t bleed. Then the wound would stitch itself back together in seconds. Even though they wanted to they couldn’t deny that something was wrong.
After that things only seemed to get worse for the town’s folk. They noticed just how terrifying Danny Phantom was. He looked more human than the other ghosts but all it did was make him uncanny. And he was more powerful than anyone they had ever seen. Using his powers and cunning he could defeat any ghost, even the ghost king. Suddenly they realized just how hopeless humans would be up against that kid.
After that they worshipped him like a god. They left offerings of Nasty Burger fries, NASA posters, video games, all the things they knew he liked. Anything to avoid making him an enemy. In return he continued to protect the town from others like him. It’s been 50 years since then, and still nothing has changed. You can go and see it for yourself if you’d like.
That’s my story. You like it? Well I certainly think it’s real. I’ll tell you I’ve seen some things that I can’t deny being odd in these parts. To tell you the truth I think what the town did was stupid. Without his friends or family, treating him like a god, not letting anyone talk to him, they’re just making him lose his humanity. I feel bad for the kid. Plus I don’t want it to backfire on the town.
Well, thanks for listening to my ramblings. Put out the fire and let’s head to the inn. My name? Just call me… Weston. Hurry now, there are mosquitoes out and something tells me you didn’t pack bug spray.

Mr. Macho Manly Man
fanfiction
ao3
word count: 1039
Danielle decides to figure out what Dash's deal is and the two become closer because of it. @ectoplasmicsoda
i love writing about dash
Dani was walking through the hallways of Casper High. Adjusting to a regular “human” way of life had been difficult at first but after traveling the world for months at a time for so long, she found that she really enjoyed having somewhere to call home. Where she had a community that could understand her better than all the very nice people she met in the foreign countries she visited.
Someone slammed into the lockers in front of her, making her jump.
This community could admittedly be a little better in certain aspects though.
In front of her stood two juniors. One she didn’t recognize but the other was Dash Baxter.
He held the smaller boy up to the lockers by the front of his shirt. Glaring at him. Dani gave him a few moments but when it became clear that he wasn’t going to put the kid down anytime soon, she cleared her throat.
Dash made eye contact with her and huffed. He let go of the kid and the boy scurried away.
“Hey Mr. Macho Manly Man, what crawled up your butt today?”
Dani had been staying in Amity Park long enough to know the journey that Dash Baxter had been on. Had even seen where he started from when she had been in the school that day trying to trick Danny. She knew that he didn’t beat up kids for the heck of it anymore. Something must’ve been wrong.
He looked like he was debating on whether or not he actually wanted to talk to her. When he came to a consensus he met her eyes.
“If I tell you you can’t tell Danny.”
“What? Me? Tell Danny?” She said, fake offense filtering into her voice. One hand rested offendedly on her chest while the other one was behind her back, fingers crossed.
Dash rolled his eyes. “Come on, Tiny Dani.”
She frowned at him as he turned away from her. “I told you to stop calling me that.”
“What? You’re both named Danny, and you’re the smaller one. Tiny Dani.”
She huffed in protest but didn’t say anything else. If she started arguing with him he might not tell her what’s wrong.
He led her to an empty stairwell. It was quiet, one of the less commonly used ones. He sat on the floor underneath the stairs and dropped his head into his hands.
“What’s wrong?” Dani asked. She sat on the floor beside him. She’s never seen him this vulnerable before. Usually it was reserved for Danny or Kwan, never her.
“My mom called today.”
Dani was quiet for a few moments. She wasn’t close enough to know why that would be a bad thing.
“Did she have anything nice to say? Was it a good call?”
He shifted and leaned back, resting his head against the wall behind them. “She was telling me how much she missed me, that she’d have to come back and visit me one of these days. When my dad’s not in town.”
Dani sat and waited for him to continue, sensing he wasn’t done.
He growled. “If she missed me so much why didn’t she take me with her? Instead she left me alone with him. She hasn’t even called once in the past two years until today, just to tell me how much she’s missed me like she hasn’t been gone all this time.”
“Oh my…” Dani said quietly.
“I used to love the fact I was the spitting image of my father. I thought it was so cool that I looked just like him. Now though, I just wonder if that’s why she didn’t bring me with her. Because I look too much like him. If that’s all she’d see anytime she looked at me.”
He swiped at his face as a tear came free from his eye. “I resent it now. Now all I can see is him too. I’ve been expected to follow in his footsteps. I’ve been in his shadow. It’s like they expect me to be just like him since I looked like him.” He hid his face in his knees. “Maybe I am. I just tried to beat Mikey up again today.”
Dani took a deep breath. “I can relate to that.”
Dash cast a glance at her, his eyes watery. “You can?”
She laughed. “Of course I can. You know all Danny’s secrets. And all of mine in turn.” She looked away. “I’m his clone. I was created to literally be the spitting image of him. But something went wrong and I’m like this.” She gestured to her face.
“Everyone used to expect me to be just like him. And for a while I was. I didn’t know anything except the bits and pieces of memories and interests Vlad had somehow gotten into my brain. Once I discovered who I was apart from Danny, it seemed to shock everyone.”
“How long did it take them to stop comparing the two of you?” Dash asked.
Dani shrugged. “A long time. They still slip up sometimes, which is understandable because my situation is in a whole different ball park from yours.” She looked back at him. “But the people that really care about you are the ones who know that you’re not your father.”
Dash sniffled and nodded. He took a couple deep breaths and wiped his eyes. “Thanks.”
Dani smiled. “You’re welcome.” She stood up. “You should really be thanking Jazz, though. She’s the one who taught me to be more ‘emotionally empathetic’.”
Dash chuckled. “Alright. But we better get going to our classes. I think the late bell rang already.”
She nodded. “See you later. Are you coming to game night tonight?”
“You know it. Foley challenged me to a round of Mario Kart and it is not one I can refuse.”
“You guys better save me a controller. I didn’t get to play last time.”
“Don’t worry I’ll sit on Manson’s controller until you get a chance to steal it.”
Dani barked out a laugh. “Deal.”
They turned to walk their separate ways to their classes. Dani let out a tiny smile. Dash was a hard nut to crack but it felt good knowing that he could trust her.

Chapter tweleve is out! What's that? What happened to chapter eleven? Eh, it's fine. You can catch up by reading both these chapters at the same time!
In this one, Danny visits Technus to try and get some answers and gets more than he bargained for.
Chapter 13 is still on for Saturday, and this week is a double Danny feature! We'll still be in his POV come Saturday.
Still not convinced you want to read? Have a taste of the story below!
He relaxed into the loamy, green dirt on top of a floating island only a few hundred meters from a large energy nova. Every pulse of his core drew in more energy, filling him with a heady rush of power and a cooling tingle of blissful ecto-energy. Novas felt impersonal, distant, like the rays of the sun, as long as he floated far enough away. The woozy feeling that left his head spinning, and the weakness jitterbugging through every heavy limb, abated with every brush of energy along the skin facing towards the Nova. He breathed in the energized plasma of the Zone, feeling it spiral though his form to wrap around his core before settling inside. After a few more minutes enjoying the pleasant silence and whisper of energy across his body, he forced open his heavy lids with the crowbar of his will. He sat up, pushing past the creaks and pops in his spine, and took a look around this part of the Zone.
Behind him, still within sight, sat the swirling green of the Fenton Portal. To his left and right, spreading out into the infinite horizon, floated glowing green outcroppings of sparsely vegetated rocks. Above him glowed the Nova, and it cleared out the space around it of floating islands or purple doors. The Zone side of the Fenton Portal used to be crawling with ghosts waiting to squeeze through the opening into the human world. Now, though, after a little over a year of beating back the hordes, low level specters stayed away. The overall ghost activity in Amity hadn’t dropped, so he figured they popped through the much more numerous temporary portals instead of rushing his family’s.
He let himself float off the surface of the island, a task made much easier by the weak gravity of the paltry grouping of stones, and rubbed his temples to relieve some tension. That was a close one. He reached into his pocket for his cell, taking in the time, and glanced back at the Portal. He could wander around, soak up some more rays, and speed up his recovery. But now that he’d made it to the Zone, another thought nagged at him. The last major ghost he’d fought before everything went to shit was Technus. In the days after the technology-obsessed ghost blew into school, the animal and even the blob ghosts had vanished. Then, everything electronic came to life. Weaker ghosts often got scared of more powerful ones, choosing to vacate their territory instead of risking a confrontation. If the machine plague was Technus’ doing, and the wimpier ghosts sensed his energy around, that would explain their disappearance.
He tossed his phone back and forth in his hands, thinking things through, before opening it to fire off some texts. I’m already here, might as well make the most of it. First, he messaged Valerie through the admin channels. No point in keeping her worried I kicked it in the Fenton household. After that was a group message to Team Phantom, explaining his idea and promising to be careful. Jasmine was out with friends, and Sam and Tucker at the arcade, so he didn’t expect an immediate response. He’d usually bat an idea like this around the group chat, but Technus’ Lair door wasn’t far. If things got out of hand, he’d have backup soon enough.

Danny Phantom Enemies Headcanons
This headcanon is gonna be about the many characters from the series Danny Phantom and see what their relationship with Team Phantom would be in the series ranging from: ally, neutral, and enemy. Now, it’s time for the enemys, enjoy. Allies here and neutrals here!
P.S. Sorry this took so long to due, real life comes before making headcanons. Enjoy!
Warning : Some character explanations will be super long, mentions of death, and other things rated PG-13.
Enemies:
Skulker - He was one of Team Phantom's first villains and was obsessed with hunting Danny for his pelt (GROSS!) and for being a Halfa. Skulker obviously doesn't care about who or what he hunts especially if a child or an endangered animal is his target. Once it's revealed that Danny isn't the only Halfa around (Not just Vlad and Dani) I can see him giving Danny 'the reason you suck speech' about how Danny is no longer special or worth his time hunting, which is a relief for Danny, but they'll still fight each other. Skulker may over time have a villian's respect towards Danny and Team Phantom, but will never admit it. I have a theory that the only reason he never hunted Vlad is because Vlad bribed him with endless weapons if Skulker never hunts him and Vlad pays Skulker to hunt things for him. On the scale of villiany in the show Skulker is #4 seeing as he hunts for sport and how he has been dangerously close to killing Danny and others.
Nicolai Technus - As much as Technus is a mad scientist type guy, he didn't really have the drive to be evil until Danny planted the idea. Once the idea came to mind Technus went through without hesitation, he could've changed his mind anytime. He defiantly embraced his villainous role by manipulating Danny and Valerie's emotions to like each other knowing that Valerie likes Danny Fenton and hates Danny Phantom (a bold move, I must admit). Ans in the bad timeline he teamed up with Skulker forming an even bigger baddie. So, yeah, he's an enemy.
Walker - For a guy who's a warden and expects everyone to follow the rules he's a hypocrite. He makes his own rules for others to follow, kidnap children, putting that shock collar on Wulf and almost putting it on Sam, and framed Danny and made him public enemy number one in his own town! If the series continued like a court episode revealing that it was Walker who attacked the ex-mayor and his police ghost possessed many citizens. Thus, clearing Danny's name and some high council in the Ghost Zone (not the Observants one, but like a lower division council that handles the different ghost jails and domains) remove Walker from his position as a warden and he is a prisoner of his own jail. He'll obviously blame Danny and Team Phantom and wants revenge.
Penelope Spectra & Bertrand- Oh my gosh, where do I begin with her? After the trauma she caused during her first episode she's #3 on my DP deadliest villains chart. Before she even set foot in Caper High, Spectra has gone through many different schools sucking the students' of their misery/energy to make herself and Bertrand stay young by lying and humiliating them, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if those poor kids ended up committing suicide because of her. Heck, she tried to kill the students of Casper High in 'Doctor's Disorder' and Jazz during the pep rally in front of everyone to create more misery. She made Danny utterly miserable, tried to turn Danny against Jazz, and tried to vaporize Jazz, and made Danny question himself as a Halfa by calling him a freak. As for Bertrand he's basically her lap dog and has no problems resulting in killing to get what he and his boss want. I think we all can agree that these two need to stay away from everyone, but mostly children.
The Guys in White - Let's face it: Amity Park hates these guys! Every episode that they're threatening citizens and ghost. They seem to have no problem with collateral damage seeing how that tried to kill Gregor/Elliot thinking he was the ghost boy and destroyed the observation station. Unlike the Fenton's who'll pay for the damages they caused, the Guys in White refuse to pay a penny and use the excuse that they work for the government. The worst thing they ever committed was them trying to blow up the Ghost Zone which would destroy our world too. Overtime they'll waste too much money on ghost catching equipment and the citizens of Amity Park will get sick of them causing the organization to disband. With only Agents K, O, and the leader guy still around trying to capture Danny or any other ghost.
The Other Ghost Hunters - After, their encounter with Danny Phantom they most likely felt humiliated, and it only fueled their hatred towards ghost. But seeing how popular Danny Phantom is in Amity Park doing anything against him is a big no-no. So I can see them waiting for Danny to screw-up so they can catch him.
Control Freak and Lydia - Seeing as Team Phantom have ruined his circus and plan to take over the world it's a given that he's an enemy. He probably spent years going to every town with his circus stealing from banks, museums, and jewelry stores only to be stopped by a couple of teens would make anybody vengeful. I doubt he remembers that Phantom and Fenton are the same person after Danny erased everyone's memory, but he does remember the events. Seeing as Lydia and Control Freak are a couple she seems cool with whatever evil scheme he comes up with. I believe the two were dating before her death.
Prince Aragon - Let's see arrogant, was willing to marry a child (I'm aware that was a practice back then, but today absolutely not!), kept his kingdom imprisoned in time for hundreds of years, and was abusive towards his sister. I see him having more of a vendetta over Dora and Sam than Danny.
Hotep Ra - Was a backstabbing advisor who tried to takeover world.
Vortex , Undergrowth, Nocturn - All three are powerful elemental: weather (Vortex), earth (Undergrowth), and dreams (Nocturn) that connect not just the human world but the ghost world as well. In each of their appearance all three were able to takeout Amity Park in a short amount of time and gave Team Phantom a run for their money, until they learned a new skill to defeat them. Seeing how the Observants had Vortex on trial it's obvious he is super powerful! I wish there was a special episode where all three combined like Skulltech 9.9 to see what kind of damage they could do.
Pariah Dark - Guy was a tyrant king who ruled with an iron fist and was so powerful that a group of ancient ghosts had to imprison him in the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep to stop his reign of terror. He doesn't care if you're human, ghost, or halfa in his eyes he's above all. The guy transported Amity Park into the Ghost Zone and lead an army that could've destroy everyone and the world! Heck, Skulker didn't want to confront him, SKULKER, that really says something! Hopefully, no one will be stupid enough to wake him up again.
Dan Phantom/ Dark Danny - He has no humanity in him, destroyed most of Amity Park (and most of the world), committed two thousand evil deeds, and even tried to kill his family and friends. Dan Phantom has no redeeming qualities and seeing how the observants couldn't take him out without Clockworks assistance shows how powerful he is. Inever believed Danny's ghost side was bad; Danny is Danny whether he's Phantom of Fenton. I believe the guilt and stress of losing everyone he loved and the fusion with Vlad was what form Dan Phantom. Heck! If it were reversed and Danny killed his ghost half, he would've been Dan Fenton human serial killer. For everyone's sake he needs to stay in the Fenton Thermos forever!
Master's Blasters - Okay, we all know season three and the last episode were to put it lightly -something. But I have to ask: where did Vlad find these guys? I mean honestly, a trio of ghost hunters pop out of nowhere, are better hunters than Valerie and Danny, the second they arrive Amity Park just eats them up and are willing to pay for being saved despite how they feel about the GIW, seriously? If it weren't for the cancelation, I would've built them up that Vlad staged their hunting/ rescues to make them look better than Phantom. As Danny slowly doubts himself as a hero the Master Blasters start charging for the rescues. At this point of time Phantom and Red huntress are nowhere to be found so the citizens of Amity Park have no choice, but to pay. Skip forward to the ending (minus Danny and Vlad revealed to be halfas) where the Fentons, Phantom, and Red Huntress team up to protect Amity Park from both ghost and human threats it's revealed that Master's Blasters aren't as good as they appeared without Vlad's trickery. They most like vow revenge on Team Phantom and try to outdo them only to fall flat.
Vlad Masters/ Plasmius - Where to begin with, Vlad? Oh, wait, I know! Vlad had this whole scheme to keep Maddie to himself, make Danny and Jazz see him as their father, created clones to make a new family, take over Amity Park, and tried to kill/humiliate Jack on a number of occasions. Even in the alternate timeline when he finally marries Maddie he is crazy controlling of her. He's doomed Amity Park/ the world numerous times for power, attempted to kill Danny, Jazz, Sam, Tucker, and Dani who are children (would've killed Valerie too if he knew about her finding out his secret), has tried to discredit Danny, taken over Amity Park via cheating, used his ghost powers to gain his wealthy, the list goes on. Vlad does seem to have some regret which is something most of the villains of the show don't seem to grasp. His older self in 'The Ultimate Enemy' realized the error of his ways and helped Danny return to his timeline (Vlad did state that he could've killed Danny instead but choose to do the right thing). And judging from the end of 'Phantom Planet' and the cover of the book ' A Glitch in Time' he seemed remorseful. He's done many things that have endangered both ghost and human life just to mess with Team Phantom, only time can tell if he deserves redemption.
