Surprise -- it's video time! Rather pixelated video time, but there's not much I can do about that -- this is a straight upload of a video I took in my Chill Valicer Save a little while ago, and apparently this is the quality that it's in. *shrug* Besides, it's not the video that I'm so interested in sharing as it is the sound --

Because, as you might have guessed from the title, the whole point of this 17-second clip of my game is to share what my Smiler actually sounds like. Back when I first posted the 2013 Alton Towers Firework Show for a "Song Saturday," I mentioned that the surprisingly deep voice they used for The Smiler stuck with me as what my Smiler should sound like. And while the Sims version doesn't sound quite the same as the coaster, it's close enough in my ears. At the very least, it gets the point across that their voice is deeper than you might expect coming out of them! So yeah. Enjoy your new knowledge of Smiler's voice!

Summary: You and Wrecker have a little battle of attrition when it comes to affections.

You and Wrecker have always been irrevocably infatuated with each other. It's often to the misery of everyone within your vicinity, given it's a near constant. There's never a moment you're not side by side holding hands, sitting in his lap, or he's holding you in his arms.

Especially for Wrecker- his love language, the way he shows 'hey! I'm still in love with you!' is to smother you in for a lack of a better word, himself.

A kiss on the cheek, top of the head; His hand on your shoulder or waist.

And so you'd made a mistake by joking just once, only once telling him he was smothering you as he laid over your body, arms on either shoulder and chin on your head. You were in the middle of working on something, and even though it might've impeded your work a bit, you weren't genuinely complaining. He, in part playing with your joke retracted all of his affections, and has given you none since. And once he started, you had as well.

It's now become a battle of attrition, on who will give in and kiss the other first.

His brothers- while they know it's all a joke- have found it off-putting, as despite their complaints throughout your relationship it's still unusual for the two of you to not be sitting in the same seat, resting in his lap while his arms wrap tightly around your waist.

But as time has gone on it's been less about holding back affection, and more how long can you tease each other until one gives him and asks, or simply takes. If you'd told this to an outside party they might've thought it's been a few weeks, a terrible marathon being denied the affections of your lover but...

It's been like four days.

Most of the time it's been you two brushing arms, or you bending over in clear view to grab something. Wrecker shows off feats of strength or almost knocks you over and saves you by your waist, before quickly distancing himself.

They've been getting more overt, but so far, the both of you have been holding strong.

Much to the chagrin of the rest of the Marauder's inhabitants, who just want this whole song and dance to be over with. But thankfully those spoilsports are gone at the moment, leaving you to the ship's refresher to clean up, and indulge in a little bit of rare privacy.

Wiping the water off your face you glance in the mirror for only a moment, before turning away. You'd gotten a decent bit of sleep these past couple of days, so you can see more perk in your face, compared to the days where sleep was a much rarer resource.

Finished cleaning up, you gently hit the button to open the door with your palm, going to step out but suddenly being stopped by an oddly tan wall. Not the grey metal of the Marauder, but something much closer to, Wrecker.

Looking up reaffirms that suspicion, and...

Oh fuck, he's shirtless.

He stands directly in the doorway of the refresher, blocking it almost entirely. You can see the various tattoos smattering his chest, before your eyes start wandering downward, seeing where his pants ride low enough to see the V of his hips and the trail of hair leading even farther down below the waistband of his clothes.

You instantly glance upward, before you become completely distracted by the thought of what rests at the end of that crumb trail.

This isn't even fair; The two of you have been just playing around, there was no reason for Wrecker to just suddenly hit you with a fucking nuke.

You can't give in this easily. You have to hold strong, if even just long enough to remove yourself from this situation before just throwing yourself at him an hour later, when you've completely soaked a fresh pair of panties.

"Please move." You try to hide the strain in your voice, watching him roll his shoulders. The way the cords of his neck move, the muscles of his shoulders and collarbone stretch and move; It's absolutely kriffing, karking, fucking criminal.

"Nah," Wrecker responds. Clenching your fists, you lick your lips and hiss at him.

"Come on Wrecker! I'm done playing this game!" He shakes his head, looking down at you.

"Oh you're done, but I'm not! You're gonna regret starting this." He leans against the frame of the door, his hips cocking out to one side. You can't help but glance down at his stomach again, before seeing how the fabric of his pants lays against his body.

Gods, the things you want to do to him are unspeakable.

Fuck it; This whole game has gone on long enough. You made one silly joke, and you aren't going to spend another night thinking about sucking him off or sitting in his lap instead of just doing it.

Stepping closer you attempt to reach for his shoulders and pull his head down to you, but it doesn't work, and you almost end up hanging on him. Wrecker still stays leaning against the doorframe, unaffected.

"Come on," He shakes his head.

As much as you want to, Wrecker's head is in the clouds, and far out of reach. He knows as much, and has an evil, crooked smirk at the thought. Irritated, you point at the ground.

"Kneel."

Your face holds firm for all about five seconds. "Please? So I can give you a kiss? I miss it... I don't wanna play this game anymore." He might've been able to resist you if you hadn't cracked like that and said please, looking up at him with those cute eyes and pursed lips.

He quickly falls to one knee, enough so that you can lean in and cup his jaw, kissing him right on the lips. You can feel his large hands gripping your waist, pulling you even closer to him.

Though is wasn't as if he was going to stay put for long, as he soon pulls away from you and grips your waist harder, quickly pulling you off the ground. Now that you've both decided you're done with this stupid little fight, there's some catching up to do.

"Wrecker!"

Not fond of the way your feet no longer touch the ground you attempt to free yourself from his grip, but it only ends up with you over his shoulder. You smack his bare shoulder, eyes widening as you feel his hand holding you on the back of your thigh, just at the crease of your bottom.

"Quit wigglin'!" he jokes, as if he'd ever let you fall. But as you've been resigned to luggage you quit squirming, trying not to laugh as Wrecker hauls you out of the Marauder and off to somewhere more comfortable and with a bit more privacy.

This one took me a minute to pin down, but I love the way it turned out! Part of me wants to write a part 2 🤔. Anyway, I hope you love it!

You're still not quite sure how you ended up in this situation, but you're definitely not going to question it. As you drive the streets of Bad Nauheim with Elvis Presley, you know that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. What it was about you that made him choose you out of all the girls, you really don't know. Maybe it was the fact that you weren't screaming and jumping around. Maybe it was the cuss word you accidentally let slip when he walked directly to you and offered to sign the photo you were holding pressed to your chest. Maybe it was the fact that you weren't a teenager and he could tell. Whatever the reason, he picked you and now here you are in the car with him.

You are a little surprised that he didn't bring his convertible. You know he has one, but this car is much bigger and has a top. He says it'll give you both more privacy, so he's not mobbed by fans. You nod slowly. You're not in a position to argue with him and you're not sure you would, even if you wanted to.

You're also a little surprised at how open he is about talking to you. He doesn't waste time with silly questions or small talk about the weather. Instead, he tells you about his struggles with fame, how lonely he is over here, and about how much he misses his mama. When you tear up over the last part he reaches out and puts his hand on your knee.

"Thank you, y/n. It means a lot to me that you don't mind listening to me talk."

"Of course not. People have a tendency to tell me things and I don't mind it one bit. I like to listen." It's true. People do talk to you a lot and he seems to have picked up on it.

"I thought you might be someone I could talk to. That's why I chose you. You looked sincere. You've got one of those faces." He smiles over at you and squeezes your knee.

"That and it was the cutest thing I've ever seen when you cussed. Like seein' an angel's halo slip." You blush at the last part. You've always had a sailor's mouth, and your mother insists it's the reason you'll never get married.

"It's a bad habit of mine. Especially when I'm so damn nervous." You want to bury your face in your hands when that slips out, but he just laughs.

"Well, I love it. Maybe I need to keep making you nervous." Your heart skips a few beats as his hand slides up your knee a bit, underneath your skirt.

"Is this okay?" He looks at you innocently. When you realize the possibilities of what he's proposing, something inside you changes. You've heard stories of what it's like to be alone with Elvis Presley, but up until now, it didn't seem like he was interested in you like that. Now that he seems to be, you decide this is an opportunity that you are not going to let pass you by, expectations of purity be damned.

"To make me nervous, you're going to have to go a lot higher than that." You answer shyly and look directly into his eyes, scooting closer to him on the seat. Thankfully, you're at a stoplight, because he has a hard time looking away from you. His face breaks into a wide smile and his tongue peeks out under his teeth. He seems to decide then and there that this is going to be a game of who can shock who the most. You don't plan to back down.

"Take your panties off." You nod, wiggling in your seat for a bit until they drop to your ankles.

"What now, soldier?" You ask demurely, moving back over to where he can reach you. He smiles again and leans over to kiss you with tongue. There's a honk from the car behind you when the light turns green again and you don't move. Elvis hollers something to the car behind you and goes back to driving. Then, he slides his hand all the way up your skirt to your warm center.

"Already so wet for me, darlin'? I haven't even done anything yet." You don't need him to do anything. Sitting on the seat next to you is enough. But you roll your hips forward a bit as he sinks his middle finger into you.

"Mmm and tight too. I shoulda known." He keeps sliding his finger in and out of you, eventually adding a second one. Every time he reaches a stoplight, he leans over and kisses you, pulling his fingers out to rub over your hardening clit. You can't believe he can drive while he's doing this, but you really don't care as you are completely undone in the seat next to him.

"Oh god, Elvis, don't stop." You moan and at the same time you both see lights pulling up behind you.

"Goddammit." Elvis says under his breath as he takes his hand back and pulls over. Once the car is in park, he leans over and wraps you into a passionate kiss while the officer makes his way to the window.

"Don't worry, darlin'. I'm not finished with you yet." He says with a mischievous glint in his eye. He turns to the window.

"What can I do for you officer?" Luckily, the cop speaks English as he explains that he'll need to write Elvis a ticket for speeding. You didn't even realize he was speeding. Elvis fishes his military ID out of his pocket and hands it to the cop.

While he writes out the ticket, Elvis goes back to what he was doing before you got pulled over. He slams his fingers into you hard and stops periodically to play with your clit. You can't believe he's this skilled with just one hand.

"God, I wish I could get my mouth down to ya." He says under his breath as you start to tremble. Your climax is so close now and you seriously hope this cop doesn't finish writing the ticket any time soon. Finally, your orgasm pounds into you, shooting electric bolts out to your fingertips and you cry out and slam your hand on the roof of the car.

"FUCK."

"I beg your pardon?!" Elvis stifles a laugh and pulls his hand out as the officer leans down into the window and looks at you. You're biting your lower lip and your chest is heaving. There's no way you can make other words right now.

"She's sorry, officer." Elvis smiles up at him politely. "Can I have my ticket now?" The officer tears the ticket off of his pad and hands it to Elvis.

"Just, uh, take it a little slower from now on." He says as he walks away.

"Oh, I can't make any promises, sir." Elvis calls back to him, not taking his eyes off of you. He pulls you in and kisses you again, sliding his tongue into your mouth easily. Then, he puts the car in drive and takes off. Finally, you find your voice.

"Where are we going?"

"Back to my room. Your filthy little mouth needs washing out."

7. Describe their arc. How would a player help resolve it? What choices can be made? Can your Tav be turned down a dark path, or pulled to a lighter one?

So I thought about this a lot, the Good Ending for Rosalie is she's Just A Person, the Bad Ending is that she volunteers to become the mindflayer at the Orpheus decision for ENTIRELY THE WRONG REASONS (feeling like a liability, believing it's the only way to cure her mental illness, seeing herself as the weak link in the group, being depressed, etc. - this ending bought to you by me staring at that decision screen for an hour KNOWING she'd turn herself into a mindflayer in a heartbeat but feeling physically ill over her logic behind that decision). This is the 'exalted mind' ending.

So there is a bad path for her, but it's one bought about by being self-sacrificing to the point of absolute idiocy and self destruction. I think that Tav literally swerves her away from it by teaching her to be a little selfish and to value herself lmao. Literally the opposite of most of the other companions, and kind of what I wish you could teach Wyll in his storyline tbh!

Her arc would be her just generally being over-emotional and reckless, with lots of camp chats about morality in Act 1 (I would probably double down on the tropes that fandoms hate in female characters a la Katara in Avatar the Last Airbender just for the lols). I want her ending Act 1 feeling like a trite 'heart of the group', ridiculous Mary Sue, she talks to you a lot about how you're feeling, are you ok? Borderline annoying tbh, but with the EA Halsin Effect of "oh, you're the companion who's nicest to me!!". Then in Act 1/2 depending on approval she does something utterly stupid, like run into a fight alone unprompted (death to a wizard), or possibly have Ethel specific dialogue that pisses Ethel off if she's in your party, and the player starts thinking "god this girl is a bit weird and reckless and stupid at times actually", and calling her out on it gets the illithid tadpole as anxiety med drop.

Act 3, you start meeting people from her past (bonus comedy route for if you just enabled all her behaviour at this point to be nice to her and get her approval bc then the illithid tadpole drop happens here). Larroakan is like "aren't you that mousy little scribe who completed those commissions for me?", you can find Threnn, possibly did an infernal translation for Gortash (not canon just for story tie-in)???? and they're all like "who the fuck are you? why are you so different now". There would be a confrontation about lying about who she is, a camp conversation about the pressure they face as the 'heroes of Baldur's Gate" and how she feels inadequate. And then in the conversation with Threnn, and the final Orpheus conversation, Tav can encourage Rose to have an actually healthy relationship with her emotions and not see her every choice as a failing actually. Then you unlock real Rose personality and a final decision where she doesn't try and throw herself on her sword.

8. After Act 3, what does their life look like? What are they talking about at the reunion party?

Good ending Rosalie has rebuilt her relationships with her family, she's back at the Watchful Order but getting all their backlog of heroic deeds retroactively converted into a wizard qualification, and unromanced she'll mention that she's either considering going on secondment to Avernus or helping Halsin in the Shadowlands/feywild as her practical project for the final part of her grade. She will have visited every single companion in the six months (Wyll/Karlach as a projection). She will mention going to tea weekly with Gale given that she's fast-tracking wizardry/he needs a friend group and practice at being a normie and they live in the same city. She will name drop being friends with Tara very smugly.

hmm well so far the big ones are alexandre dumas père, victor hugo, and jules verne!

i like dumas's plots, all the intrigue, the balls-to-the-wall shit he gets away with because he makes it so fun. also eugénie danglars is one of the characters of all time, so congrats to him for creating her. and he can be really, really funny. i know i've brought this specific example up so many times you must all be sick of it by now, but i found this bitingly ironic and yet incredibly affectionate passage about albert de morcerf's inability to impress women so endearing and hilarious that i memorized it and now just say it to myself as i'm walking down the street. that shit has stood the test of time, sir. good on ya.

i love victor hugo's earnestness about social issues and i often find his sentences very beautiful. the fact that he also wrote poetry really comes across in the cadence of his prose; he's very good at establishing/reinforcing the tone of a passage just by varying sentence length and clause placement. even the 760-word louis-philippe sentence in les mis is indicative of this: in the context of the rest of the book, such a long sentence with such an extreme degree of repetitive parallel structure (which bores you) against the backdrop of the cognitive load created by holding the subject of the sentence until the very end (thereby heightening syntactic tension and forcing you to pay attention) is a fascinating and canny device. the content of the sentence (which, again, there's a lot of content in this sentence. 760 words of it) almost communicates less than the structure of the sentence does! and in tandem they imply so much that he cannot say outright (and the fact that he has to imply them rather than say them outright tells us even more things). absurdly long and painfully boring, it's a very successful example (imo) of what george saunders calls a "non-normative event", an "excess" that hugo deftly "converts [...] to [a] virtue".

my favorite thing about jules verne's writing is it is just so much easier to read for me as a non-native speaker lol. but also, i love his imagination! he says stuff all the time where i'm like, "that doesn't sound right but i don't know enough about plate tectonics (or whatever) to dispute it" but it doesn't even matter because whatever it is he will take it to its farthest possible conclusion and he will have fun doing it. i also love this character archetype he has of the supercompetent assistant who is just totally unfazed by whatever semi-mad science shit his employer is getting up to. his love for scientific inquiry and the natural world (except sperm whales, he HATES those guys) comes across on every page and it's beautiful to see.

i think what they all have in common is just complete and total commitment to the bit. none of them agree on what the bit is - for dumas it's bonkers plot, for hugo it's social commentary, for verne it's listing every single type of marine life that exists in any body of saltwater anywhere on the planet - but they sure are committed to it. you gotta respect that.

From the handful of games I've gotten to play, I've flipped back and forth between using content that I've made for Stories and using the things that happened to place in the Stories; have you gotten to flesh out more of your fantasy adventure through dnd or vice versa?

Oooo nioce! I've saved scummed, and crash and stuck in sidestep is Rough, omg the good/bad angst lol. I've played twice but keep being 'too bad' for folks to want to bust sidestep out lul. I loveee reluctant villains, they're so good. I'm a big fan of playing sidestep as 'fated' but reluctant, like feels they can't stop but wants someone (cough ortega) to stop them. I've tiptoed into the fully evil sidestep, it's veryyyy rough but if you love angst I highly recommend, oh jeez just the reactions.

I feel u lol. We tend to name pets along with food names, but the hilarity of a Cat named like Kevin is just too great. Clementine is a beautiful name and a dumb orange cat would be grateful to have it lol.

asdfaf yeah, i love my friends to death but they are Chaotic players. it's been a journey. if nothing else, i've learned quite a bit of improv, and fleshing out our homebrew setting helped me organize my writing quite a bit (especially my outlines). for the most part, i try to keep stuff separate tho, even if sometimes some things bleed over (like, NPC traits, or city structures or stuff like that), but the stories are completely different in both the general setting, and the vibes.

Project Hadea just updated and i read it last night and. god. so good. definitely check it out.

it started out as a linear story, and mostly for fun, but the more i added to it, the more other possible outcomes and scenarios started to make themselves known and. i am kinda considering making it into IF format. idk yet, i am waiting to have it more fleshed out (like, actually written, not just outlines and bulletpoints and scenes that aren't yet tied to each other)

aaaah the good angst. i will definitely play an evil route with sidestep. hopefully soon, i started replaying Baldur's Gate again and the Hyperfixation is. very strong.

unfortunately naming pets with human names seems to start to be a tradition with my friends. we already have a cat in the group named Mike (he truly is the definition of no thoughts, head empty. i love my furry nephew so much). some other friends recently rescued a stray kitty and named her Maia (which we all know several people with that name). the other pets that are relatively close to the group are either named after food, or have very literal cat and dog names (my aunt got a cat and she named him Motan. which is just "male cat" in romanian. truly like naming your cat Cat)

Hey no worries i have to interact with people i dont wanna all the time & have to take a moment & not be like that myself. Oh shit its school time already? Maybe some will know but the beauty is that eventually you reach a point where nobody will who you dont want to so fuck it we ball on that one. Lakeside beaches are also very good i think mt fuji in japan has some like. Lakeside beaches that offer a good view of it & i wanna see that. Im not sure what the definition of fancier english words is here but mostly you dont need them in my experience anyways. Even specific words have workarounds. Ah so making it easier & more generic but not going into the details like they used to. Thats a shame especially with how confusing english can get. I went one town over a week or two ago & it was 108 F, or 42 c i had to convert that, at like 8 at night i was dying. Totally fair sometimes knowing when to hold off is best & its nice to enjoy stuff later for certain things. Turned out i had enough for 2 ten pulls but kafka came home on the first so my luck got burned for a bit i think. Cant wait to use her. The story is interesting but ive been having. So much fun diving in fontaine i ignored the story for a whole day. Good luck on your gear maxing & eventual ender dragon fight! Ah yes a tough choice. That i guess boils down to how much you like your family. So good luck on that decision as well! Oh please do! I found a purple that should work with my hair just need to use it when i have time. I would like to grind more but it kills my phone battery. Oh i got sampo too but i dont think i need to worry about building yet. So no artifact grind for me. The aeons are conceptually really cool & i cant wait for more simulated universe. When i get back to it. So many side quests. My brain is a sponge for fish facts mostly. Its weird. You turn your head away from the priest, who is holding out the cracker and wine.

"Against your religion!" The priest finishes for you, throwing the wine and cracker onto the floor. You flinch, feeling the wine splatter the tips of your bare toes. "And why have you given your soul to the devil? What does he hold over you that cannot be forgiven by God?" The broad-chested man reaches a hand out to touch your chin with his crooked index finger, but you step back, keeping your eyes on the stone floor of the chapel.

"I have not sold my soul to the devil," you reply, gripping your hands by your sides. "I am not a dark witch."

"Please do not tell me you think there good witches or bad witches," he laughs, stepping over the mess he just made and advancing upon you in the robes befit for a holy king. "A witch is a witch. And you will be hung or burned at the stake if I say so."

"Then kill me," you gripe. "But you will suffer the wrath of a thousand others if you do."

"You are ill," he pleads with you, his green eyes searching your face earnestly. "Come, be saved by the power of God and--"

"Your god does not exist," you retort, but you can't seem to catch the hand that strikes out at your face. You stumble against a pew, bringing a hand up to your face.

"Blasphemy! Repent, witch, or you will burn in Hell for eternity!"

I've got one last trick, you think to yourself. One last option. But I would be breaking my own rules to do it. The priest continues to advance on you, and you muster up the last bit of magic you can to cast a final spell. You don't even need to speak, the thought of the old words is enough.

At first, you don't think the spell has taken effect, but when the priest stops and blinks three times, you inhale deeply, hoping the effect of the love spell is strong enough to save you.

The priest stares at you for a long time before exhaling shakily, clasping his hands together. "I would be remiss if I did not permit you to take sanctuary here for the evening," he finally murmurs, mesmerized. "You are welcome to stay in the comfort of my chambers." He swallows hard, and you nod, silently thanking your magic for the quick solution.

"I'm fine," you whisper, curling under the sheets in the large four-poster bed. "Thank you." The priest has changed out of his vestments, now clothed in simple pair of pants, and his black hair is visible, laying against his forehead as he settles into the chair beside the bed.

There are only three other women in your situation - witches who have bewitched priests who sought to murder them. You vowed as a young witch to never put yourself in this situation, for the risk of the spell not working was higher than the reward of it actually taking effect in the way you want it to. But it seems this priest already had wavering faith, which strengthened the hold of your magic on him. He looks at you with a lost puppy gaze, the scar on his lips parting as he drinks in your visage in his bed.

"Your scar," you whisper, reaching your hand out to touch it. "Where did you get it from?" The priest kisses your fingers, then murmurs,

"A witch scarred me as a child when she attacked my family." You hum, frowning.

"I am sorry to hear that. Such a malicious act for no reason..." The brutish man leans into your palm, and you stroke his face as he sighs.

"May I join you in the bed? Feel free to say no."

"You may." In the waning light of the sun, the priest climbs into the bed with you, wrapping a strong arm around your figure.

Before he blows the candles out, he whispers, "Goodnight, my love."

And the lights go out.

Everyone else was already in there and when you three walked in just started staring at you guys. “So, have fun last night?” Sam asks. Oh no, you didn’t think it would be this soon that you would have to tell them……

Bucky and Steve started glaring and Sam for insinuating something like that, but you saw a chance and took it. “Yes actually, we did! We talked about how we should get a fourth person for the team and we decided on you Sam! So we’ll need to train of course, so that’s 10miles of rough terrain running, and….” You we’re about to go on when Sam interrupted “Wait! What? No way, not gonna happen.” You and the super soldiers burst out laughing, so did the rest of the team once they realized you were joking. Sam just stuck his tongue out at you and went to sit down. “Nah, in all seriousness, we do have some news.” Steve said, being the first of the three of you to quit laughing. “We’re soulmates,” Bucky finished! The team went around and congratulated you guys, Bruce came up last and said, “ Congrats, I knew you would find them one day Y/N,” he then turned his attention to your soulmates, “ but if you hurt her, even in the slightest bit, I will turn into the Hulk and crush you to bits, then feed you to the fish.” You thanked Bruce and reassured the now terrified super soldiers he wasn’t being serious, well hopefully anyway.

You three decided to make tacos for lunch. You did the meat while you tasked the boys to cut up the lettuce and tomatoes. “Owww!” You heard Steve scream. You quickly turned around to see that Steve had cut his finger with the knife. “Steve, hon! Let me see,” you took a look at his finger and decided it didn’t need stitches, you had Bucky go grab the first aid kit and you fixed up Steve’s finger. You’d think for a super soldier he wouldn’t have been so whiny about a cut but he was. He claimed he was to injured to finish helping with lunch, he gave you and Bucky the puppy dog eyes so you let him off the hook. You and Bucky finished lunch and made up plates for all of you. Once you had finished it was back to training…or so you thought.

Apparently the guys had formulated a plan over lunch, instead of training, they were going to take you on a date to Coney Island. “Doll, come on, we aren’t training today.” “Like hell we aren’t! I’d prefer my boyfriends to not die in the jungle when I haven’t even gotten a chance to go on a date with them!” The boys smiled like dopes. “What?” You sharply said, a little annoyed that they wanted to skip training, you couldn’t, and wouldn’t let them die. “You called us your boyfriends” Steve responded while Bucky also added, “and we are taking you on a date instead of training, no arguing.” You reluctantly agreed, saying this would be the only time.

The three of you drove to the surprise location in your convertible, since it was a nice day out, and for some reason, one they wouldn’t tell you, you guys couldn’t take Bucky’s motorcycle. “Coney Island?!?!?,” you questioned excitingly, “ I’ve always wanted to go here, but every time I’m in town it’s closed or something!” “Yeah doll, and we can ride all the rides” Bucky started, but was interrupted by Steve, “yeah, no you guys can, but last time I went on the Cyclone I vomited and that is not happening again.” Bucky rolled his eyes and whispered to you that you two would convince him. “And then we are going to win you a prize at the game booths because that’s something boyfriends do, at least in the 40s they did.” You smiled, getting more and more excited, “and then I’ll win both of you a prize because it’s the 21st century and girlfriends can win prizes for their boyfriends too.” You three went and bought your tickets and wristbands and went into the theme park.

Bucky was right, you did convince Steve to ride Cyclone again, and he did vomit, again. You guys then went to the carnival games to win prizes for each other. Bucky and Steve both saw stuffed animal bears dressed up as them and decided they needed to win you them, so that when they went on missions the bears would be there for you. Luckily for them the bears were at the shooting game, and well, Bucky was a sniper, so they had this….or not. It took Steve 4 tries to win and Bucky 3, they were both very persistent on winning, and at that point it wasn’t about the bears anymore, but their pride. They gave you the bears and you gave them each a kiss on the cheek and thanked them. Then you saw the perfect prize to win them, it was at the hanging game, where you hung from a pull up bar, and if you could do it for 2 minutes you win 2 of any prize. You went over to play and Bucky questioned you, “Doll, are you sure, this game is really hard, I couldn’t even win it back before the serum.” “Oh I’m sure, hotstuff, just you wait and see.” Steve looked amused and excited to see if you would prove Bucky wrong. You payed the man running it and he started the timer once you started hanging. You were at the final 10 seconds and both Bucky and Steve were surprised you had made it this long. All of your muscles were burning but you were determined. “10 more seconds doll! You got this!” You completed the time and dropped down gracefully. You collected the prizes and gave them to your soulmates, they thanked you and the look on their faces were so worth it.

You guys ate some food that was probably not fit for human consumption, and rode some more rides. After that you guys went back to the tower, watched movies while cuddled together and got to sleep early, you were upping the training tomorrow, with only one week till the mission. There were of course nerves in the air about the mission, you guys had just found each other and you didn’t want any of you to get hurt or die. You would all be okay, hopefully….

A low growl rumbled in Kid's throat feeling their warmth, his teeth grazed the back of their nape causing shivers to run down {Name's} body. Kid's pace was anything but gentle, his relentlessness thrusts caused {Name} to claw uncontrollably at the mess of clothes and blankets underneath them. They continuously called his name, absolutely lost in the haze of pleasure “Is this what you wanted baby?” Kid growled into their ear, nibbing their lobe between his teeth, rutting into them, driving them into the mattress. {Name} nodded, all too quickly in agreement, the feeling of their alpha giving them the relief they craved, continuing to push and drive them further and further into the feeling, {Name} bites their lip. Mewling, whimpering, babbling random words of praise to Kid, their hands try to grab onto anything as they feel the tension snap, overriding and pushing them into absolute bliss. Kid grins, watching them coming undone without stopping his animalistic pace, he makes them cry out from the sensitivity, making their orgasm even more intense. His pace grows erratic, hips stuttering as he feels his own release coming, his grip tightens on them, sure they must have been bruised from his hands gripping them so tightly and pulling them into him over and over again. He pulls out, rutting against them and releasing onto their back, Kid grins, panting and evidentially proud to see their skin littered with traces of him, marks of his ownership, he sees their form underneath him and he grins “Ready for more?”

Who is ready for an Arranged Marriage!AU? :D This is gonna be a wild ride.

This is an idea I originally had for Ona and Connor but it didn't quite fit in what I had in mind, so I left it until I could find how to make it work. Then Eva and Erwin came and it clicked together perfectly 👌So, me and my friend @spirit-in-the-library humbly present this AU!

We got Erwin, Eva, Freyja (her OC, a total badass and I love her) and Levi all suited up for this adventure. I'll put a read more!

Eva comes from the kingdom of Gottesreich, a heavily religious and conservative kingdom where its King is always looking to expand territory and gain power, as well as bring the true word of God to the less advanced territories (he's a fucking asshole). It's a patriarchal monotheistic religion culture and kingdom, and definitely has some Adam and Eve-style enforced gender dynamics ingrained into the culture.

This reflects heavily whenever she is in front of other men and also of high status; she never speaks, only if asked and even in such situations she's afraid to give her opinion, conditioned to not do that by her father. To their eyes, Eva is the perfect Princess, her strict governess and her own father made sure of that. She knows how to act, what to say, what not to say, how to elegantly walk and bow, even has diplomatic knowledge, since she travelled quite often with her brothers when they had to do their own diplomatic missions. She's the perfect asset to any Kingdom and her father knows it pretty well, she's valuable and he has to gain something big in return of trading her.

So, this leaves Eva who has practically no self-steem or sees her own value but to be a bargaining chip, and it's heartbreaking. When Erwin sees her and gets to know her a little bit better, he knows she has a curious and inquisitive mind too, her eyes shine with intelligence when she thinks no-one is looking. She has a lot to say on her mind but years of toxic parenthood and the Kingdom's twisted values makes her keep her mouth shut, head bowed down.

The cultural shock between Eva's culture and Erwin's tribe renders Eva speechless. Men and women are equal, women can do whatever they want, can be warriors, and also worship three benevolent Goddesses (Maria, Rose and Sina), deeply respect nature and try to maintain balance and harmony the best of their capabilities. Eva's mind is blown.

Erwin is the Chief of the proud Warriors of Eldia, often labelled as demons by their enemies who have faced them in battle. They are depicted as blood-thirsty horned devils who have no mercy, when this couldn't be farther from the truth. Erwin is proud of his people, so he's the perfect example of the true poise and demeanour of a proud warrior. Kind of following the canon, he's extremely intelligent and clever, respected by his warriors and people, and is always scheming huge and even intricate plans, making his famous big gambles (like making an alliance with Eva's brother's to help them overthrow their corrupt father and keep their sister safe under the pretence of a marriage ;D). People often think Eldia is only a tribe of savages, but they couldn't be more wrong about it. They want to be left in peace and do their thing without being bothered.

He makes a personal vow to bring Eva to her fullest self, angry at the way they wilted a beautiful flower from its full bloom. Erwin acknowledges her intelligence and vehemently wants to know her opinion on things, strategies and the village's concerns.

Still with the Eldians, Levi is Erwin's right hand man, the second in command, and is not afraid to speak his mind and call on Erwin's bullshit quite often. He's crass and harsh, but deeply cares for the tribe and its people. He is small compared to other Eldian males, but he compensates with a sturdy body and almost insane reflexes and agility. He's fast, precise and terrifying with a sword. He makes a perfect assassin if needed, but also a fearsome warrior that has nothing to envy the big bulls they have in their army as soldiers.

He is also in charge of training troops, and often barks at the brats (the 104th) to stop being idiots and train like Maria is on their asses.

And at last, Freyja! Gottesreich decided to expand territory and colonise and annex the neighbouring villages and small kingdoms, and one of them was Freyja's one. She survived and fled, ending up as a refugee at the tribe of warriors of Eldia where they gave her food and a roof, but not after Erwin pulling strings to keep her head on her shoulders; he recognised her value as a warrior herself after taking down several of his men, and it would be a pity to lose such an asset. Freyja is terrifyingly good when teamed up with Levi, although they bicker and bite at each other constantly.

But she won't forget the absolute massacre carried on her people because Eva's father deemed heretics those who wouldn't convert. So, she's quite bitter towards Eva, and refuses to be her bodyguard and teacher of Eldia's culture and language when she is appointed as such by Erwin. They start a very rocky path but they become inseparable at the end.

GIFFING 101 - YOUR ULTIMATE GUIDE ON HOW TO GIF

I have gotten many, many asks before about how I gif and I finally decided to make a tutorial. This is going to be very long, very image heavy and with a lot of details and examples. I mean it, I’m going through every, single aspect of giffing that I can possibly think of. From start to finish. And please read the disclaimer at the very start.

* I use a macbook pro but this should probably work on windows too!

First off, this is not meant as a post where I am saying look here, this is the only and perfect way of giffing. Not at all. When I started out, there were many tutorials available that helped me figure out how to gif, and I slowly developed my own style and I would like to create an in depth tutorial that helps you grasp the basics. Heck, make your gifs whatever way you want, go absolutely crazy on colours or whatever, this tutorial is just here to guide you through the process of gifmaking, because I know it can be very intimidating to people who are just getting into it. That is why I made this and why I spent 8 hours writing this, because I want others to know too and this is the kind of in depth tutorial I needed when I was starting out 4 years ago. Thanks for reading, hope it helps and go crazy ahhh go stupid.

- what will you need to create gifs?

photoshop. I use photoshop CC 2020 on a mac and I pay monthly bc of student discount. There are many, many links you can find on @completeresources for downloads. You can use any photoshop you like, as long as you have the timeline option. 

Handbrake. This nifty program is used mostly to convert MKV files to MP4, but I also use it to quickly extract the part of the video I want, because opening an entire movie in photoshop can quickly clog up space bc of cache and it’s a pain to find that one second scene you want with that tiny scrollbar. Download it from here.

your video (downloading explained down below)

extras: VLC, just to find how many seconds the scene is at, so we can input the time in Handbrake. You can use any other player though for that step, I use VLC or Quicktime. Download VLC from here.

- how to download videos

Ok so I will quickly go through a few methods here for getting your clips. 

1. t*rrenting.

This is the most popular method for getting your film or tv episode. I personally get my t/rrents from rarbg dot to or if I am having trouble finding one, I go to 1337x dot to, because they compile them from different sites. I copy the magnet link and go to the qbittorrent application, import magnet link, choose the files I want and it downloads. Remember, the higher the seeder leecher ratio, the quicker it will download. 

But which file should I choose?? there’s so many? Well yes there are many many files for different movies. On RAR, I found more than 40 t/rrent files for Endgame. I think that generally, the 4/5 GB 1080p copies are just fine. I have compared giffing with a 60GB Interstellar Remux (which is directly ripped from bluray) file to giffing from a 4GB 1080 file, it literally gave me the same quality and the 1080 looked crisper. So yeah don’t kill your computers space, just go for those 3/4/5GB files. 

hot tip - don’t download from yify, the quality is way worse.

2. movies from twitter accounts such as logolessHD.

these accounts post MEGA links to movies and shows, but you will have to request to follow them to be able to get the links. Then you can download the movie from there. The accounts you can get these links from are here: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. The quality can be a bit less though compared to t/rrents. Here is a link to a tumblr blog with these kinds of downloads too. 

3. downloading from youtube.

ok, use 4kvideodownloader for this. It is incredibly easy to use, you just need the youtube link. Always Always go for 1080p, if you can’t then 720 at the most because otherwise quality gets really bad really fast. 

4. netflix / screenrecording

If you don’t want to download / can’t find something, try using netflix and screen recording. In my experience, SC only works on google chrome and not safari so jsyk!! Here is a tutorial on how to screen record on mac (or for quick access, click command+shift+5) and windows. 

NOTE: quicktime screen records at 60fps, which is nearly thrice the frame rate of movies and shows, so at the end you may end up with duplicate frames in the timeline of photoshop, so you will have to delete those frames one by one sorry.

- extracting your scene from handbrake using VLC / built in video player

muahaha here’s where the magic starts to happen. Open handbrake and import your video. For this part I am going to use a scene of Keanu Reeves from the 2019 movie Always be my Maybe. I will demonstrate with that scene up until colouring, because then I will show how I colour different scenes!

So when you have opened the image in HB, you get this layout. (link to imgur)

it is a bit intimidating, I know. So basically, first, click on where it says chapters near the top right and click seconds. then, input the time you want to extract from the entire video. For the Keanu scene, that scene starts at 00:57:18 and ends at 00:57:21. These are not exact timings, I usually add an extra second so the entire scene is captured and I heavily recommend you do the same. 

Now down below, you can click browse and edit where your new video will be saved and you can also change the name of the new clip. Always ALWAYS remember to keep the .mp4 ending do not cut that part out!!! If the ending says .m4v change it to mp4!!

Ok then I undertake the following steps to ensure the video that will be exported is of the highest quality possible: 

Firstly, I uncheck all these three boxes: 

Then you see this bar here right? Well I will edit the dimensions, filters and video now. You don’t have to do anything for audio, subtitles or chapters so leaving that alone is best. Lets go to dimensions first.

Here are my settings for dimensions:

The storage size depends on if your file is 1080p or 720p. Most movies are shot in a ratio of 2.35:1, so if it does not say 1920x1080 like a 1080 file should be, don’t fret. The cut off parts are just the black bars you see when watching the movie. Handbrake doesn’t recognise nor convert them so that’s one less thing we have to worry about. 

Now onto filters. Literally do NOT change anything there. Leave the settings as they are, which is like this:

Finally, go to video. You will see this kind of window and these are my settings (imgur)

Firstly, leave video encoder at H264 or 265 depending on how your video is encoded. For the FPS, choose same as source for the framerate and click constant instead of variable!!! This will ensure your video is smooth. For quality, bring the slider all the way to the right. RF0 means it will be at the best quality possible. I didn’t edit the settings at the bottom at all so just leave them be.

Now click this green icon (imgur) at the top and your video will start encoding! It does not take long at all and then your video is ready to made into a nice lil gif!

- opening in photoshop

woohooo we got our video!! Ok now open photoshop. Click on file -> open:

now search for the file you extracted from VLC and import it! Now your screen will look like this (imgur). With a different video, of course lol.

- trimming, cropping and resizing videos

ok so firstly, we will trim the video. As you can see in the image I linked in the step before, the screencap you see is of someone else in ABMM, not Keanu, like I want. So use this slider:

and click and drag it to where your scene begins and shows up in the window. Then, click the following button to split at playhead. 

This will split the clip and so the timeline and layers section will look like this (imgur) (mine has three sections because there was space before and after the keanu scene so I cut two parts which made three clips)

so now all there is left in trimming is delete the layers of the video you do not need! For me in that image it was layer 1 and 3!

cropping and resizing

This depends on the kind of gifset you want to make. This picture is a handy guide for resizing:

Ok now I will crop my gif. Click on this tool:

and now my interface looks like this. I am using the ratio 6 by 4 but you can use whatever you want. 

Ok now you may need to crop some black bars but since I don’t have to, I just moved the crop area around a bit and clicked enter to crop it. Just play around with sizes and whatnot, and get a feel of what you like!!

cropping tip: crop as close as you can to the edges. The more you zoom in, the more pixels that will be visible and it will make your gif extremely grainy!!

So now for resizing, go to image -> image size or click command-shift-i

and you will get this window. 

A LITTLE NOTE - I personally do not use automatic but a friend who shared her sharpening psd would prefer if I kept it secret, but automatic is what most people use and it is what I used up until november 2019 and it worked just fine.

Ok anyway now I want to make my gif 268px wide so I will input that as width and make sure you click this!! It makes sure your height and width are proportional!

ok now we have this. After you’ve done that, click ok!

congrats, you just resized a gif!! Your gif probably looks smaller now in the main window once you click ok, just zoom in to it! don’t worry about it looking bad quality, sharpening is next!

- sharpening

Now we sharpen! Make sure your layer is selected Go to filter -> sharpen -> smart sharpen and this window will pop up:

These are my settings which most people use. Just remove gaussian blur

I have more accurate and use legacy checked too!

click ok! Now ... your gif might look a bit oversharpened. That’s why we use a bit of gaussian blur. Go to filter -> blur -> gaussian blur.

now I think most people also use a 1.0 radius so set that and click ok.

But now your gif looks too blurry. Lets fix that. Double click the icon below in the layers panel

and adjust the opacity! My go to is between 25 to 35, just so the gif looks smooth!

Now we’re done with sharpening! This is how our gif looks with sharpening with 0.05 speed:

sweet right? Now .... the best and hardest part ... colouring!!!!

- colouring and psds

First I will shortly talk about psds. They are photoshop files, that save the entire document which means you can share it with someone after uploading it and when they download and open it, they can edit the layers, tweak things just like they made the file in the first place. Many people upload psds of gifs with colouring so others can use that colouring. You can find so many psds on completeresources (I only linked gif psds but they have psds for icons and headers too) or allresources. I do not use psds but colour from scratch every time so I will not be explaining them further, sorry. 

So for colouring, I will go very in depth into different styles. Here are the main types of colouring I have noticed people use on here:

simple - I normally use this for scenes with people in it

vibrant, bright - I use this for scenes with lots of colours in them

pale

black and white

gradients - I use this to spice scenes up a bit

colour palette 

I only go for simple, vibrant and gradients and never do cp, pale or black and white, but I will link a few tutorials by talented creators who do and after that I will explain the three ways I colour by showing you three different examples :)

Some useful tutorials I have found for pale/bw/cp colouring are:

this pale tutorial by @samecoin​. Especially useful read because Tippy explains how to avoid whitewashing in pale edits.

this pale tutorial by @kateausten​. Very easy to read and to follow.

this colour palette tutorial by @freddyfreemen​. They explain the basics and provide a psd too.

this colour palette tutorial by @stenbranlons​. Very image heavy which guides you through every step of the way.

Btw, this is a useful website that explains all the different adjustment layers in photoshop if you’re still getting the hang of them

ok now onto my examples for the colouring. I will first do simple colouring for which I will use the keanu gif. For vibrant and gradient I will use two different gifs. I usually put my colouring into a group so first, close the video group layer and click this to make a new group which will contain the adjustment layers for our colouring:

SIMPLE COLOURING

First I will brighten the gif up with some curves. That is this tool:

Then you get this window:

As you see, I have selected that white eyedropper tool. Using that I will brighten the image. Basically, you want to click on the whitest part of the gif using that tool. This is because wherever you click, the eyedropper will turn that part into white and adjust the entire gif that way so if you click somewhere dark, you’ll get this white bright fuzzy mess. So I clicked on the lightest place which imo is the white specks near the glass in front of his hand and now my gif looks like this:

Ok now if you look at the above image, there is a black eyedropper two steps above the white one. You want to use that to click on the darkest place of the gif bc it’ll turn that to pure black. Here is my gif when I did that:

not a massive difference but it balances things out. Now I will add some saturation. Click this icon:

which brings up this window. I have already set saturation to around 15 to make it a bit warmer:

and the gif looks like this now:

I think it looks nice, but I would like to add something extra. That is why I am going to play around with selective colour to make the background pop a bit and make the black colour more dark. So click this icon:

and you get this window and these colours (imgur). You can play around a lot with selective colour and manipulate colours! So if I turned the black dial on reds to +100, they would become wayyyy darker. However because I want the background to pop, I would use the colours magenta and blue (and black for the final touch). For those my settings are this: 1 - 2 - 3 (imgur). So now my gif looks like this:

And now i think we are done! For comparison, this is what the gif looked like with absolutely no colouring or sharpening:

And that was all for simple colouring!! Lets move on to vibrant colours!!

VIBRANT COLOURING

For this I will use an example from Thor: Ragnarok bc thor is my soft bb. I did not do much for this first example except play around a lot with selective colour and I used the exact way of adding saturation and curves as shown before. Honestly just playing around with selective is the best bet to get vibrant colouring. The gif without sharpening etc was this:

pretty sweet huh? Just play a lot with saturation, hue and selective colour and channel mixer and you can create a lot of styles that way!

GRADIENT

for this I will use another clip from Thor, but from The Dark World. It is a bare clip where it is raining and I will add a gradient on it. This is the gif without colouring nor sharpening:

now we will do the sharpening and colouring. I already applied a basic curves and saturation layer so now it looks like this:

It looks a bit better right? Ok lets get that gradient applied. Click here:

and click on gradient, NOT gradient maps bc those are different things and I honestly dont know how maps work. 

now this is what will appear, I haven’t changed anything to this yet:

What style, colours, angle you choose is up to you. I personally am going for 0 angle because I want it going right. Now, to choose colours, double click on the colour shown next to the word gradient. This window will show up:

The fun part is you can do what you want here. Just experiment, click the buttons, adjust opacity etc. When you click at the bottom of the bar somewhere another stop marker appears meaning you can have even more colours! Just click on the bottom markers and edit to your hearts content! Use the top button to adjust opacities. Personally I went for this gradient:

Ok but now we have a problem because our gradient is fully covering the image and you can’t see anything. That is where blending modes come in. Right click on the gradient layer and click blending options. This window will pop up (ingur). When you click blending mode, these options appear (imgur).

I just recommend playing around seeing which one suits you. I went for overlay, which makes my final gif look like this:

and that was that on colouring!! Let me know if u have questions about it! Onto the next part, masks!

- adding subtitles

although we wish we could, we can’t all lip read so we need subtitles also I’m hard of hearing and need them anyway but yeah, I will quickly highlight how I add subs! I use the font Arial Rounded MT Bold Regular.

I will first link to this post because it helped me a lot and may explain stuff better than I do. 

Lets take the keanu gif we had earlier. In it, he says ‘fish flakes’. Now what I do is this. Click on this icon:

and drag a box around the gif fully. Add your text. Mine looks like this now:

Well that ... does not look like a subtitle. BTW my settings are:

*when there are two people speaking I change the colour of the second person to #ffff00 - also for 540px gifs I usually use 12/13px text.

Ok now I will add the stroke and drop shadow. Right click on the layer of text, click blending options and change your stroke and drop shadow settings to this and this (imgur). Now just click the move tool or hit V on keyboard to select it and drag the gif down wherever you want. Now my final gif looks like this:

Ok, now if you have two gifs and you want them to be the same distance from the bottom, right click the text layer of the first gif document, click duplicate layer and you will get this window:

now click on destination and depending on what files you have open in PS, you will get this window:

now just choose where you want the text to go and if the gifs are the same sizes itll appear exactly where it did in the first one and you can edit the text for the second. You can do this with adjustment layers, groups etc too!!

Now text is done! Off to the next part!

We are done editing, now time to convert to frame animation and edit the speed! 

Ok click on the four bars on the right side of the video timeline. It will bring up a menu. From there, select this:

This will make individual layers of every frame into clips. Now, click this at the bottom left side of the video timeline:

This will convert your video timeline to a frame animation timeline. Now it looks like this (imgur). you’re probably wondering wait where the heck did my layers go well don’t fret, lets click the four bars on the right side again and click this:

now look! We have got all our frames into the timeline! Just delete the excessive frames at the front. Now click the four bars again, select all frames and then click the number at the bottom and change it to 0.05 or 0.06 or whatever speed you want:

- actions

Now actions ... man they make everything so much easier. Basically actions are a sequence of steps you undertake in photoshop that are recorded which you can then save and use on multiple files. This makes the giffing process much much faster!!! For instance, these are the actions I have saved (mind the doubles lol I am experimenting a bit!)

As you can see, I have one for undertaking the entire video timeline to frame animation process and one for sharpening and the subtitles. It has saved me around 75% of the original time I put into creating sets before which is a lifesaver.

Well basically, those are my settings above. Make sure the looping option is set at forever. Also on the left size you see how big your gif is, make sure it is under 8mb but tumblr is unstable so keep it under 5MB and it should be fine. 

I use different exporting types at times. Sometimes I use selective and pattern, sometimes diffusion or adaptive+dif. Just remember that the gif size depends on which you choose so keep that in mind. Here’s the difference (if u can even spot it).

Personally I mostly only use selective + pattern!

btw make sure your matte is at NONE!!! This is because otherwise you have those whitish transparent borders on your gif, esp noticable on dark gifs, like shown in this tutorial by the talented @joewright​ !

reminder: quicktime records at 60FPS, so unless you want a laggy gif delete the extra duplicate frames in the frame animation timeline!!

When opening import video frames to layers, do not click skip every second frame!! do not!!!!

Do not steal gifs. Try making them. I know it takes time and it can get frustrating but don’t post someone elses gifs as your own. Even the ugliest gifset in existence made originally by someone is better than a stunning set put together full of stolen gifs from various users. Don’t be that person

Don’t be afraid to ask for help pls just go on anon if u want!!

use the tumblr dimensions!!! I cannot stress enough how important this is because if you don’t, your gifs will look stretched af and lose quality so like .. don’t do that
