Oh my god, I need more yandere ludwig. Your work is amazing! Keep up the good work, but don't forget about yourself!!đ€ May I ask what would Germany's behavior be like if the reader were pregnant? Or if their daughter? (son?) already born? It seems to me that nothing will help the poor reader in this case, I see him twice as protective and controlling than he already is. And if we add the fact of the presence of the "Great Uncle Gilbert" ... Just good luck to the nerve cells and the psyche of the reader :')
(sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language ><)
Omg thank you so much! I am so glad people have been loving my works, the characterization is kinda wobbly in my opinion but still. I really do appreciate the compliments! Your English is quite good doll, donât worry ;3 love the ask though, the drama would surely be intense. đâš
Warnings; anything traumatic related to pregnancy. non-con. proceed with caution.

Innere Unruhe
It wasn't necessarily the first thought you had in mind, obviously. You remembered your stomach doing backflips as you wobbled around the kitchen, a rather common occurrence after Ludwig had been significantly rough with you while you were cooking dinner.
His hands pulled up your dress, his fingers tracing your skin as they teasingly played with the hem of your underwear. His other hand snaked across your waist, pressing your back against him as his lips gently kissed your neck. The scent of his cologne overwhelmed you, and you could feel the tension from his workplace leaving his body.
It wasn't the first time, but you still weren't accustomed to it. You wished you were. Sometimes when you wanted him, it was bearable, hopelessly addicting even.
Slowly his fingers begin playing with your silky folds. Never mind you cooking dinner, his hands now pulling at your dress, the apron, your hair messily falling over your back, not caring much about the food Ludwig turns the stove off and seems hell bent on making your thighs shiver from just his fingers.
As you gracefully collapse onto him, he gently lets you slide to the floor while casually starting to wash his hands. You assume dinner comes first, and then it's likely time for the bedroom, where he will carry you off to.
Throwing up half of your dinner was not in your plans though.
Honestly, all you felt was slight discomfort for the past few weeks and you had assumed that was your new normal considering the lifestyle you had with Ludwig. Both of you were active in the bedroom, and even though it was horrible to admit, your lover made damn sure you had reached your climax to the point of blacking out.
It was after when Ludwig had been cuddling with you, seemingly in a sleepy mood today when you might have started breathing heavily alerting the man behind you, it was disgusting and you might have cried out of frustration as gentle but strong hands carried you to the washroom and in a short time, freshly cleaned up, the moment your head landed on the pillow, you were out.
And then you began noticing the symptoms, a womanâs body is bound to act up in a complicated manner during stress, right? So the absence of your period? Must be the stress. The throbbing pain? Well, Ludwig could get very rough at times. Throwing up? Maybe your stomach wasnât digesting food properly. Sore breasts? Again, rough sex. Excuses after excuses. And with what you were going through, this was simply accepted as your new normal.
Ludwig had begun to take care of you, making sure you were fed and hydrated well, stressing over your health which seemed to take a drastic turn all of a sudden. It was probably just a fever. Perhaps he had been too harsh on you? Nonetheless, he encouraged you to take rest and did everything in the home and looked after you. To you, he was being somewhat dramatic.
But again, you had a feeling in your gut that this was something more than a cold. A womanâs body had itâs magical ways of making such things known. In the form of pain.
Of course, you had lost your balance and went tumbling down the flight of stairs, vision blurry and a strong sense of nausea enveloping your body in its strong grip. You tried breathing heavily, trying to calm yourself down but it hurt. Hurt so bad. And Ludwig had gone to a meeting just a while ago.
âOi Ludwig, are youâ Holy Motherâ",
Gilbert. Oh how you despised that man, but how did he get in?, the concerning thought flew out of the window as you felt cold hands land on your forehead, caressing your throbbing head, almost as if he was investigating a wounded animal. Which you supposed was a perfect description.
After that, all you remembered was being placed on a couch, and voices whispering in rapid German. Did he call his brother? Obviously. Maybe he had called him to take care of you since you were unable to so yourself. God, that felt pathetic, so so pathetic.
Ludwig stared at your distressed form with a grimace set on his lips, thank god his brother had arrived in time, but that didnât necessarily explain what was going on with you. If anything, he was getting more and more concerned about your well being. He wasnât going to take you to a hospital, the thought of that made him feel disgusted, he was not going to let them touch you.
Instead, he thought of calling for Emma first thing tomorrow. He had given her his workload for today, she might be able to help or advice just what was going on with you,
He had helped you reach the bedroom, letting you lay down and decided to leave you alone at the moment, maybe some good rest oughta make you feel better, and some time alone from him. Was he stressing you out? Was he the reason for this? Sighing in frustration, he felt so annoyed and upset at himself.
It was after a moment of silence when you opened your eyes, the house was dark with only a few lights on, alerting you until you remembered what had happened. Ugh, your belly hurt so much. Trying to lift yourself up, you tried to bear the ache on your waist, at least your vision was clear now with no sign of blacking out any time soon.
Slowly but steadily, you made your way to the washroom, easily pulling off your silky dress and tossing it on the floor. Your hands immediately rested on the floor lengthen mirror and thatâs when you truly saw your reflection.
Messy hair, it had been brushed by Ludwig just before so it wasnât a tangled mess but nonetheless still messy. Your skin was sickly pale with dark circles and dry as your lips, your body seemed to be growing chubbier these days, your breasts hurt and yourâ
Wait.
Narrowing your eyes, you slowly turned to the side, eyeing your stomach more carefully. Touching the flesh with tender fingertips as if something inside you was telling you to be gentle. As if something was there, your body seemed to be telling you that, your belly had gotten somewhat bigger and the area throbbed in pain at times.
For some reason, you couldnât breathe.
Thankfully your legs found the toilet seat and you fell right on top of it. Breathing more heavily, you clutched your thighs and tried to clear down your thoughts.
It couldnât be.
Nations could not get pregnant nor could they make anyone else pregnant. That was explained to you by your agency when you were ordered to spy on the personification of Germany. It was further confirmed by Ludwig. But again, he was a young nation himself, maybe thereâs been a mistake. Maybe it was because he had forced you to consume a part of him and become a semi-immortal?
A raspy gasp escaped your throats as you hyper focused on breathing. Just breathe, just breathe.
You know what you had to do.
âAre you doing alright?â, Ludwig asked you as he pulled the blanket over him, his voice laced with genuine concern and a hint of guilt in his eyes. He didnât bother to pull your body close to him this time.
âItâs fine reallyâ, you lied, obviously. There was a slight tremble in your voice which made Ludwig furrow his brows a bit. Nonetheless, he gave a firm nod and opened his laptop and starting wearing his headphones.
After a while had passed, you slowly pulled yourself closer to him and curled your hands around his arm, nuzzling you cheek against his muscle and sighing tiredly. Stifling a smile of victory as you felt his movements stop.
You heard a sigh and felt his fingers touch your scalp, soothing your roots and soon enough his body was cuddling against yours.
âFeeling well?â, he asked in a whisper and you nodded slightly. Honestly you had done this before to get what you want and you werenât exactly sure whether Ludwig already knew your intentions or he was just glad to have such soft romantic moments.
âIt was just my period acting upâ, you mumbled with a fake whimper following soon enough, voice feeble and quite. âI might need to order some supplies, please?â
Fluttering your eyelashes, you gave him a meek expression and you tried hard not to smile or have your heartbeat give away to your plans. You saw him contemplating until you saw a slight smile on the corner of his mouth. He must have been so tired, poor thing,
âWhatever you wantâ.
He continues watching his show as you scrolled through his phone, putting several items in the bucket list as well as some supplies which you would experiment with later, not that he would know. Ludwig was kind of a simp really.
Finalizing you order, you gave his phone back to him and continues to muzzle with his arm until you fell asleep.
The delivery came quickly enough, you had to contain yourself from showing growing dread and absolute tension in front of Ludwig the whole day, especially when you carried the delivered boxes towards your bedroom as Ludwig helped you and then left you alone to go to his office.
Quickly you grabbed onto a loose dress, some pregnancy tests, a pad and headed to the washroom. Your hands were shaking terribly but you had done it.
You stared at the floor in a newfound terror, as each and single one of the tests showed positive. Each single one. positive. The marks were all you could see as your heart plummeted. Pregnant.
You were with a child. A baby was growing in your stomach which was supposed to be impossible. And it honestly felt as if it was growing faster than a normal child would. Because you could literally feel your body changing at times. It could be, considering the fact this was a nationâs child. Germanyâs child. If Ludwig came to know?
You had to escape. Fast.
Knock. Knock.
âEverything alright?â,
Shit. Your head whipped around to stare at the doorknob turning and quickly hid the supplies you brought to the washroom. The used tests were stashed in the padâs packet and you put on a pad just for the act.
âDo you need help?â, his voice sounded worried and you internally cursed, oh you have helped a lot Ludwig. Fucking thanks.
âComing! Just making sure it wouldnât leak!â, you heard a slight cough and rolled your eyes at the man who was probably blushing on the other side of the door.
Seriously what did he expect you were doing? As much as he was sharp, he could be a dimwit. Stupid meathead. God, the anger towards him was growing day by day, especially at your predicament.
âSorry, I was just concerned Schatz, take your timeâ.
This was bad. Ludwig was already so strung up about you even though you had tried so hard to show him that you were alright, you had to subdue his worries fast or else escaping with your child would be hard to do so. No wonder, your health would plummet sooner or later and your chances would plummet as well.
You knew he would be waiting just outside for you, so washing yourself properly, putting on a relaxed expression you decided to put on an act.
âFinally, everything good?â, Ludwig asked after an exasperated sigh, pissing you off slightly but you managed to subdue the anger. He grasped your hands and stared at your face, pulling your body closer to his as he took in your scent.
âOf course. My healthâs gotten a lot better, you really donât have to worry so much. I am doing well Ludwig, trust me?â,
There was hitch in his breath as you asked the last question, and in your too. Trust. It was about trust at the end wasnât it?
You betrayed him the moment you stepped into Germany as a spy, his trust afterwards when you attacked with a gun, knife or a frying pan, trying to escape him over and over again. He couldnât trust you that easily, thatâs been few years ago and yet sometimes you can feel his eyes scrutinize you.
"I made dinner", was the only thing he replied with, holding your hand and leading you downstairs, uncertainty began to bubble up under your skin and it didnât go away for the rest of the day.
Emma had said that nothing was wrong with you, only a fever which humans had once in a while which subdued Ludwig's and your worries, you supposed she wouldnât even think of pregnancy being possible. Ludwig only ate in silence as the television played an action movie, your eyes following the scenes.
It was a new show which you saw Ludwig watching, sensing your interest he decided to connect it to the tv. At first, you avoided it like the plague but being bored enough, you decided to give it a try. Which was a common occurrence these days, whether it was something you liked or he liked, it ended up being shared or brought up quite frequently.
Strangely domestic. It unnerved you at times.
"I was thinking",
huh?
Your eyes met his, and you suddenly realized that he had been staring at you all along. You noticed him glance at your hands, causing you to quickly unclench them. Was your anxiety that apparent? Damn.
"I checked your bucket list", he did?
Narrowing his gaze, your heart skipped a beat as he gently held your hand. Which he had broken quite a few times while interrogating you. He took in a deep breath and placed a chaste kiss on your hand and eventually your cheek causing you to flinch, which he noticed keenly.
He stared at you with an empty expression for a while, while you did your best to avoid making eye contact. Your senses became more alert, and you could sense him gradually moving closer to you on the couch. He balanced his plate on his thigh while holding your hand, and his breath gently brushed against your neck as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
You attempted to control your breathing while hyper focusing on the movie. However, the weight on your shoulder provoked your resistance as his hand gradually encircled your back, pulling you closer to him.
"Ludwig, what are you doing?" you asked firmly, but it didn't seem to faze him at all, which only heightened your concerns. This was what worried you at times. While you could usually dissuade him easily, there were moments like this when he didn't play into your hands so easily. This was the man who had hunted you down and single-handedly defeated the rest of your team with his intelligence and strength alone.
"Emma pulled me aside after your test," he said slowly, causing your thighs to clench together. "She concluded me that all the symptoms you displayed were indicative ofâŠ" He trailed off and you attempted to push him away, but was forcefully pulled back towards him, his fingers digging into your waist.
He turned off the tv.
You tried to speak up but Ludwig shushed you as his palm was placed on your mouth, "I know you're not on your period," he whispered into your ear, causing your eyes to widen. Your chest rose and fell as you began to breathe heavily, and your thighs trembled as Ludwig nuzzled your neck, planting firm kisses.
He kissed you gently, yet possessively, his warm breath causing you to shiver as you struggled to contain your tangled emotions, trying not to struggle too much. Why did he start doing this all of a sudden? You believed you had finally caught him, but it appeared as though he willingly fell into your trap, as if it was his only opportunity to earn your affection.
"I don't know what your deal is, but don't keep playing the same game that you failed in repeatedly. I'm not begging you like I did last time," he whispered harshly.
"Itâs a warning".
He let go of you, placing the plate harshly on the table and stood up. Hastily wiping his hands on a napkin, thinking quickly you clutched onto his thigh, "Ludwigâ I was only worried I swearââ, you started, but he only clicked his teeth.
"And? You didn't even try to consult me?" He only gave you a glare, effectively ending the conversation as he left, leaving you in a state of meltdown on the couch.
"Forget it, you canât get pregnant", he hissed sharply before storming out of the room. You wondered if he was disappointed by that fact or simply fed up with your constant schemes of escaping his grasps.
You had to escape tonight. Though could you even? It wouldnât be the first time, but that was the issue. Ludwig was constantly on the lookout for any signs of disobedience from you, a man doesnât suddenly lose his intelligence and brain after fucking a woman, for a while perhaps. But Ludwig despite being hopelessly in love, wasnât going to play into your games again. Especially if he would end up finding out that you can be pregnant.
You take in a shaking breath, composing yourself and putting your act together as you head towards the bathroom. Throwing away your pad with a dissatisfied grumble, frustrated tears clinging to your lashes. You wipe them away hardly with your hands, exiting the washroom only to crash onto Ludwig, who catches you firmly, both of his hands on your waist.
âwhatâs wrongâ shitââ, he wipes your tears and holds your face tenderly, you wondered if he thought that you were upset by what he said. He stared at you for a while before he hugged you, making you feel conflicted.
You didnât think you could escape. This would be what? The nineteenth time? Or twenty-two? You didnât quite remember, every time you were dragged back and punished, whether it was making you beg or cry, in the end Ludwig always made damn sure that you would be his. Even if sometimes you had disappeared for months at a time.
You had escaped to Southern Asia, Central Africa, South America and each time, he found you and brought you back. Nothing helped, your connections and underground friends were all gone and useless because Ludwig made sure that Gilbert disposed off them entirely.
All the drowsiness and sickness seemed to engulf at once as your knees gave out, Ludwig swiftly caught you by your waist, your legs wrapped around him as he layer you down on your bed. His eyes stared at you apprehensively as he towered over you.
You hunched up your dress, sniffling and gazing at the ceiling above. What were you attempting to plan, anyway? You were in a hopeless situation. How could you forget that you had been with Ludwig for years? Years of running away and getting caught again. Even if you managed to escape, you would still be searching and longing for someone to love you as deeply as him. This realization shattered you, made you angry, but ultimately⊠all you did was take a moment to catch your breath.
"I canâtâ", you began but he silenced you, traces of the previous argument evident in his tensed muscles. His jaw was clenched tightly as he stared at your flushed form.
"Trust me?", Ludwig whispered softly, hunching over you as you looked at him with fresh tears falling off your eyes. Understanding what he meant as he traced your thighs, moving your dress to expose your skin, you hastily gripped his naked shoulders, broad frame overtaking your vision.
Soon enough, he began venting all his frustrations onto you. Your thighs were on his shoulders as he relentlessly thrust into you, biting your shoulder and breasts, planting harsh kisses on your skin. His hot breath and deep murmurs sent shivers down your spine, and loud, explicit moans escaped your lips as your eyes rolled back. It was a steaming delirious pleasure coiling around and drowning you.
Once again, the bed trembled from the intensity of Ludwig's thrusts, as he pounded into you with an animalistic force, leaving bruises on your thighs, waist, and back. It seemed like Ludwig was determined to make a point, although you couldn't quite understand what it was.
He fondled your breasts in a gentle manner when he was done filling you with his load over and over again, your body shook from the force it went through. Painful pleasure made you throb, both of your fluids, tears and sweat drenching your figure. Ludwig panted heavily, his muscles flexing in all its glory as you grasped his shoulders and moaned pathetically.
Giving a toothy kiss to your breast, he murmured hotly near your ear.
"You are going to be a great mother".
Your heart plummeted.
Ahem, so what happens now? (I was getting way off topic)
Ludwig would eventually find out about your pregnancy one way or another, whether by some indication or snooping around your damn business. And when he does, he is going to have a breakdown at first. Firstly, because such a thing should not be possible, but lo and behold. The power of a woman knows no boundaries.
However, he would also be ill-equipped to raise a child. Ludwig lacks emotional depth and has little experience with children , he would be uncertain about his ability to care for a child. after having a deep conversation with his family and friends, he would take it as his responsibility since he was the one who put that child into you. And in the end, that was his baby too.
After collecting himself, Ludwig would actually be quite elated. His wife was pregnant, and deep down, he had always fantasized about and desired to have a wife and a child whom he could care for, just as his siblings had cared for him. To have some sort of normalcy and an escape. Soon enough, after throughly researching and studying, he would feel confident enough in himself to shoulder on the responsibilities. Also with you beside him would make him feel more secure.
"Ludwig, itâs not that much of a big deal!", you yelped as Ludwig carried you upstairs, near your newly furnished bedroom where he placed a tv and everything else you might need. Last thing he wanted was for you to move around carelessly and needlessly, unless it was for exercise and hygiene. Gilbert trailed behind him with a grin on his face, apparently he was your especially appointed bodyguard with Emma and Lily as your maids. This was ridiculous.
He would be extremely protective, constantly hovering over you and ensuring your well-being. He would prioritize your comfort and relaxation, carefully managing your eating and sleeping schedule. He would exert control over every aspect of your life to ensure everything goes smoothly. He is afraid of losing you, and his overbearing nature might eventually lead Gilbert to intervene and set him straight. because he would be stressing you out too.
Gilbert would thwart any of your attempts and antics immediately. It was fun back in the days, but now with you being very vulnerable with his brother's child, he would be very firm and protective over you as well. Watching you like an eagle.
Ludwig already has the entire nursery planned and baby proofed, with your input here and there, including everything else a child needs. This man is brainstorming every possibility. He has everything prepared and protected. The medical team is one of the best in Germany, and you have top security from the government themselves after Ludwig requested so.
Considering the fact that your predicament is basically a miracle, it might bring about some curious nations and Ludwig is not going to let that slide. This man is just itching for someone to mess up.
I feel like he would want a boy. Heâs not sexist ofc! itâs just that he would personally love to have a son to take care of and raise him properly with discipline that Gilbert inflicted on him but also the affection he needed too. Eventually, it wouldnât matter. Itâs just a preference if he was asked about it.
He wants four btw, two boys and two girls. Ludwig would be embarrassed to admit this, but you will definitely end up with four kids if he canât help it. He can, he chooses not to.
Eventually, you have twins - a boy who is slightly older than the girl. Ludwig, upon holding their tiny bodies, almost dies. He may have cried, but in that moment, he couldn't care less.
As a Nation, Ludwig's genes would end up overtaking yours, meaning the children would mostly look him with some of your features. Ludwig ofc notices this and makes sure that you donât end up having a breakdown because of him over the children.
He knows, you might end up having depression and stress, which is why he would be present at home often. Gilbert would also be visiting often with his darling, taking care of the children and ensuring that you donât lose your mind and hurt the kids. I feel as if Ludwig would be okay with Lily and Emma visiting as well, his children need to socialize.
As they grow up faster, being the children of a nation, I believe that his son would resemble Ludwig right away, with his shiny blond hair, eyes a striking blue, the only in resemblance being your eye shape and eyebrows. Unfortunately, his possessive attitude towards you also starts to develop. Being the oldest son, he feels responsible for taking care of you, which leads to daily arguments between the two of you and Ludwig. He wouldnât dare argue with his uncle tho.
The girl, on the other hand, sort of resembles you in personality. She has the same confidence as Gilbert and is passionate in everything she does. However, she also possesses an unwavering honesty. She is obsessed with gaining your and Ludwig's approval and desires for both of you to always be together. She is very affectionate and sweet, but also quite anxious, much like you. The only thing that resembles you are her eyes.
You could say that, Ludwig raises them to be equally responsible and have proper sense of duties. But he is softer on his girls, Gilbert is not tho, but he isnât as harsh on them as he is with the boys. Which is probably why their yandere tendencies are much more apparentâ in the end, you suppose itâs a cycle. Little did you know, your girls were taking after youâ only that they were yandere too.
Ludwig would end up spoiling them, but at the same time he would be very strict. Mostly because his oldest son gives him very doubtful vibes, his daughter seems to rather dainty, his other son is a nervous wreck, his youngest daughter is a shy bean. But in the end, they arenât really that innocent. And he knows. You hope they turn out normal though (they donât.)
He would be enrolling them in the best educational institutions, they will be known as the rich cool kids in school, extremely smart and intelligent. With a confusing aura unnerving but also attracting many people, in the end they end up twisted as Ludwig, when their weight of immortality and power catches up to them.
They would also be very protective over you but you can easily deter them to have some sort of privacy and control. In the end, Ludwig expects them to respect and listen to their mother, and the kids wouldnât cross any strict boundaries.
Also, Ludwig would be the one making sure you get a proper bath, his hands gentle and soft as he slowly cleans you, while also making sure you were comfortable. This man canât keep his hands of your pregnant body, whether itâs for a massage or physical affection he can never get enough of.
He will also make sure to pleasure you, especially when your feeling particularly needy or cravings, he will be there between your legs, softly sucking any area he can find. He would especially be fondling your breasts and yes, he would develop a lactation kink. And a breeding kink, honestly this man is kinky af when it comes to his woman.
As much as he would be suffocating, he is also very gentle because he would so nervous that he might end up fucking this up like everything else in his life and he simply cannot have that. He canât mess this up too.
Constantly asks his brother for advice on how to take care of the kids, and maybe his boss would end up babysitting them or something when he takes them to work lol. You will actually get a lot of help for taking care of the child. Especially if you would be easily tired and vulnerable, you wonât have to worry about a thing.
Although Ludwig would still be very protective with the kids, they would grow up quite quickly and stronger too, which will tone him down. But he would be strict with what they do and how they do it. He would still be possessive over you and paranoid that since his attention wonât be fully on you, you would try to leave him again. So he trusts the kids to take care of that. And they do so.
Things are alright, you could say, obviously not the kind of life you had in mind back in the days. With having strong immortal kids and a husband, but is what it is. Gilbert would tease the shit out of you and sometimes belittle if you act up too much. Ludwig wouldnât suddenly loose his teeth when it comes down to your or his kids' disobedience.
Things are relatively tame, aside from few arguments, disagreements, tension brewing between nations. You would be rather stable as time goes on, Ludwig would be tamer as well if you behave and stop trying to stir shit up. Itâs all good.
That is untilâŠ.
The winter breeze rushes in as the front door is forcefully opened and then locked. You set your book down on the table next to your armchair as you stand up, the blanket wrapped around you falling carelessly to the ground. You don't care; your eyes are fixed on your eldest son.
"Leonard, what is this?" you cautiously ask him, your breath catching in your throat as you take in the scene. Your senses are overwhelmed by a strong smell of copper, quickly rendering you motionless.
It reminded of you when his twin came in, announcing her utterly obsessive devotion to her boyfriend, who avoided Ludwig's eyes at all cost.
However, she was relatively tame in comparison to this.
Your son, towering over you, almost his fatherâs height, stood with a manic grin on his face. His dark blond hair messy, eyes glinting with joy but his faceâ âŠâŠ they were stained with blood. But that was nothing alarmingly shocking.
No.
It was the poor, shivering girl bundled up tightly in his arms, she was also covered in dark blood, which stained her face and clothes. Sniffling, she attempted to hide her face.
You saw Leonard's eyes roll and frown at her feeble attempt, he brought her closer to give a kiss on her forehead, not minding her flinching away as if it burned. His eyes, lighter than his father's, clashed with yours. A smug look comes on his face along with his familiar grin.
Is he taunting you? Challenging your authority? Or is it a warning?
You wonder if Ludwig knows, or ever wondered that his son committed a bloodbathâ
"FĂŒhlt sich vertraut an, Mutter?"

[Review] La Mulana (PC)
A powerful and painful pastiche.
Metroidvanias are plentiful these days, although La Mulanaâs designer Takumi Naramura claims not to have played either Metroid or Castlevania while dreaming up the idea for this now-legendary love letter to retro games. Instead he was inspired specifically by Konamiâs MSX classic The Maze of Galious, although it does feature a similar structure and progress system to the genre definers. Itâs not just an action game though; perhaps inspired by Namcoâs Tower of Druaga and the like, La Mulana is stuffed full of secrets and riddles, and you must employ both your reflexes and your wits to proceed through the mysterious ruins.
With a setting and style that gleefully borrows from Indiana Jones, the archaeologist/graverobber hero man follows his fatherâs research into a vast underground ruin that is the source of all of Earthâs known civilisations, and some unknown. A mashup of various ancient societies and mythologies, itâs as full of monsters and deadly traps as it is maddeningly obtuse hints. Seriously, if you donât have a source of external tips you may not get far.
I was very fortunate to have a small community of veterans who were delighted to watch along as I played through for the first time, with amusement and commiseration at my mistakes and gentle nudges when a puzzleâs solution remained elusive. I wasnât always in good condition for these sessions, with a body in ill health and a mind ill suited for the task: the immense synthesis of a mountain of cryptic information and the intense scrutiny of every minute tile in the game world. But with some ingenuity and the patient and subtle help of these friends I made it to the end in around 30 hours... is that a good time?
This kind of collaborative experience is the ideal way to play, although it requires care not to spoil the new player too much or let them get too frustrated. I sure got mad quite a few times during my playthrough, whether through complaints with the controls, player-hostile traps, or puzzles that simply werenât communicated well enough or required better recall and note-taking than I was capable of. Some of this puzzle confusion can be attributed to quirks and quibbles with the gameâs translation from Japanese to English, or the representation of visual clues with insufficient resolution in its 32-bit-esque art style, rendering murals and symbols at times muddy and indistinct. Not to mention general vagueness or potential misinterpretation, a common problem when a game/puzzle designerâs brain and the myriad player minds meet in a mismatch.
The high level of difficulty and the usefulness of a support network which you might not have access to makes it hard to recommend La Mulana. But it has the reputation it does because it was an early example of this modern kind of riddle-centric action game. I have qualms about its unfriendly design and the execution of many of its ideas (and letâs face it the boss fights are a mess), but playing it in the circumstances I did was a great communal experience. The gameâs cheeky sense of humour doesnât hurt either. I just really hope the sequel improves some things because Iâm rolling straight into it, also sight unseen.

Filing for Divorce in Sacramento: A Step-by-Step Guide to Divorce Paperwork Services in Sacramento
Going through a divorce can be one of the most stressful times in a person's life. Not only do you have to manage the emotional challenges, but you also have to navigate the legal procedures and paperwork. If you're filing for divorce in Sacramento, understanding the process and the services available can make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
What Does the Process of Filing for Divorce in Sacramento Involve?
Filing for divorce in Sacramento, or any other California county, involves several steps. Understanding these steps and ensuring you have the right support can help make the entire process less overwhelming.
Petition for Divorce: The first step in the divorce process is filing a petition for divorce with the Sacramento County Superior Court. This petition provides basic information, including the grounds for divorce, financial information, and arrangements for children (if applicable).
Serving the Papers: After the petition is filed, it must be served to the spouse. This is an essential step, as the spouse must be notified officially that the divorce is being filed.
Response to the Divorce Petition: The spouse has 30 days to respond to the petition. If both parties agree to the divorce, the process can proceed smoothly, but if there are disputes, the process may take longer.
Divorce Settlement: This step involves negotiating the division of property, custody of children, alimony, and child support. If you and your spouse can't agree, the court will make decisions for you.
Final Judgment: Once all issues are resolved, the final judgment is issued, and the divorce is finalized. This is when your marriage legally ends.
The Importance of Divorce Paperwork Services in Sacramento
Filing for divorce involves a lot of paperwork, and completing it accurately is crucial. Mistakes or missing documents can cause unnecessary delays or even lead to a case being dismissed. Divorce paperwork services in Sacramento can help streamline the process by assisting you in filling out and filing all the necessary documents. These services are particularly useful for individuals who want to avoid the stress of handling the paperwork on their own or for those who do not have the financial resources to hire an attorney.
Divorce paperwork services typically include:
Petition for Divorce: Assistance in filling out the official petition and filing it with the court.
Response to Divorce Petition: Help in drafting the appropriate response to a divorce petition, if necessary.
Financial Disclosure Forms: These forms are crucial in disclosing all assets, debts, and income during the divorce process.
Child Custody and Support Forms: If children are involved, these forms will help determine custody and support arrangements.
Judgment of Divorce: Once everything is settled, the divorce judgment is completed and submitted to the court for finalization.
Benefits of Using Divorce Paperwork Services in Sacramento
Using professional divorce paperwork services in Sacramento has several advantages:
Accuracy: Divorce paperwork services ensure that your documents are filled out correctly and submitted on time. Mistakes can delay the process or lead to additional court hearings.
Cost-Effective: Hiring an attorney can be expensive, especially if your divorce is straightforward. Divorce paperwork services provide a more affordable option without sacrificing quality.
Efficient Process: With the help of professional services, you can avoid common mistakes and expedite the paperwork process, making your divorce experience less stressful.
Time-Saving: Divorce paperwork services help you avoid the hassle of figuring out the legal forms and requirements yourself, saving you time and energy.

Why Legal Assistance Matters
The Complexity of VA Claims
VA claims are notoriously complex. From understanding the various types of benefits to comprehending the eligibility criteria, the process can be daunting.

Common Pitfalls in the VA Claims Process
Many veterans unknowingly make mistakes that can jeopardize their claims. These pitfalls include:
Incomplete Applications: Failing to provide all necessary documentation can lead to delays or denials.

Avoiding Common Mistakes During Online Nursery Registration in Noida
It is no wonder that the process of online registration nursery in Noida can be a convenient and efficient way to secure a spot for your child. However, like any digital process, it comes with its own set of challenges. Since not everyone deals with online forms and similar systems often, we decided to gather a few common mistakes that are easy to make so that you can avoid them.
Not Reading Instructions Carefully
One of the most common pitfalls is neglecting to read the instructions thoroughly. Every schoolâs online registration portal may have different requirements and steps. Missing out on important details can lead to incomplete or incorrect submissions, which might delay the admission process.
Missing Key Deadlines
Online admissions are often time-sensitive, with specific windows for application submissions. Missing these deadlines can mean waiting another year for your childâs admission.
Uploading Incorrect or Incomplete Documents
Schools require various documents such as birth certificates, address proof, and photographs during the admission process. Uploading incorrect or incomplete documents can lead to your application being rejected or delayed.
Ignoring Technical Specifications
Online forms often have specific technical requirements for document formats, file sizes, and even browser compatibility. Ignoring these can cause errors during submission. You should learn about the technical requirements before you sit to fill in the registration form to avoid last-minute issues.
Not Verifying Details Before Submission
This is a very easy mistake to make when filling out online forms. Some data fields will prompt you and wonât let you proceed without entering some data. But in other fields, such as address or mobile number, you might end up providing incorrect information. This can lead to complications later in the process.
Skipping Confirmation Screens
After submitting your application, many portals display a confirmation screen or send a confirmation email. Skipping this step or not saving this confirmation can cause problems if you need to prove your submission later. It is a good practice to save or print the confirmation screen and keep a copy of the confirmation email.
Neglecting Follow-Up Communication
Schools often communicate further steps once the application is submitted via email or their online portal. Missing these communications can cause you to miss additional requirements or deadlines. A good practice in this case is to regularly check your email and the school's online portal for updates.
Takeaway
By being mindful of these common mistakes, you can ensure a smoother and more successful online registration nursery class in Noida. With careful preparation and attention to detail, youâll be well on your way to securing a place for your child in your preferred school.

The Timeless Investment: Why Hiring an Architect or Designer Should Be Your First Step in Any Project
In the fast-paced world of construction and design, the temptation to jump headfirst into a project is understandable. However, rushing into construction without proper planning and design can often lead to costly mistakes, delays, and headaches down the road. Hereâs why taking the time to hire an architect or designer from the outset is not just a wise investment, but a crucial step towards project success.
1. Vision and Expertise:
Architects and designers are trained professionals with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of spatial design. By involving them from the beginning, you tap into their wealth of knowledge and experience to conceptualize and refine your vision. They can help you articulate your goals, identify potential challenges, and explore creative solutions that you may not have considered on your own.
2. Comprehensive Planning:
One of the biggest benefits of hiring an architect or designer early on is the ability to develop a comprehensive plan for your project. They will work closely with you to assess your needs, evaluate the site, and develop a strategic design that maximizes space, functionality, and aesthetics. From floor plans to elevations, every aspect of the project will be carefully considered and documented, laying a solid foundation for construction to begin.
3. Avoiding Costly Mistakes:
Attempting to tackle a project without professional guidance can often result in costly mistakes that could have been easily avoided. From improper site analysis to design flaws, these errors can lead to budget overruns, construction delays, and even legal issues. By hiring an architect or designer upfront, you mitigate these risks and ensure that your project progresses smoothly from start to finish.
4. Streamlined Communication:
Effective communication is key to the success of any project. By having an architect or designer on board from the outset, you establish a single point of contact for all design-related matters. This streamlines communication between stakeholders, reduces the likelihood of misunderstandings, and fosters a collaborative working environment where everyone is aligned towards a common goal.
5. Time-Saving Solutions:
While it may seem counterintuitive to spend time on design and planning upfront, it is actually a time-saving measure in the long run. Investing the necessary time and resources into designing and documenting your project thoroughly ensures that construction proceeds smoothly and efficiently. It minimizes the likelihood of delays, change orders, and rework during the construction phase, ultimately saving you time, money, and stress.
In conclusion, hiring an architect or designer before starting any project is not just about creating beautiful spaces; itâs about setting a solid foundation for success. By taking the time to plan and design your project properly, you invest in its long-term viability and ensure that your vision is realized to its fullest potential. So, before you rush into construction, take a step back, and consider the invaluable expertise that an architect or designer brings to the table. Your project â and your peace of mind â will thank you for it.

Watch Battery Replacement Guide
Watches are not only accessories but also precision instruments that rely on reliable power sources. In this guide, we will explore the key aspects of watch batteries, focusing on the types of batteries including silver oxide watch battery and providing insights into the best practices for watch battery replacement.
Types of Watch Batteries
Watch batteries come in various types, each designed for specific needs:
Silver Oxide Battery: Commonly found in quartz watches due to its stable voltage output and compact design. It is ideal for continuous use, offering a reliable power source.
Lithium batteries: Known for their extended lifespan, they are suitable for watches with infrequent use or additional features like digital displays. They are lightweight, compact, and perform well across various temperatures.
Alkaline batteries: Being economical, find popularity in less expensive watches, particularly those with low energy consumption. They are now obsolete due to environmental concerns.
Factors to Consider When Choosing the Best Watch Battery
Choosing the best watch battery and adopting proper maintenance practices will contribute to the longevity and accuracy of your timepiece:
Compatibility: Ensure the selected battery is compatible with your watch model. Refer to the watch manual or consult the manufacturer for recommended battery types.
Size and Thickness: Watch batteries come in various sizes and thicknesses. Choose a battery that fits snugly into the battery compartment without excessive pressure.
Voltage and Capacity: Match the voltage and capacity specifications of the original battery to maintain optimal watch performance.
Avoiding 5 Common Mistakes During Battery Replacement
When embarking on the task of replacing a watch battery, it's essential to proceed with care to avoid common mistakes that could impact the watch's functionality. Here are 5 crucial aspects to be mindful of during the battery replacement process:
Inappropriate Tools
Using the correct tools is paramount. Magnetic interference can harm delicate watch components, so opting for non-magnetic tweezers and screwdrivers designed for watch repairs is essential.
Forceful Opening
Opening the watch case demands finesse. Avoid using excessive force, as this can lead to damage. Instead, employ specialized tools like a case back opener or knife, ensuring a gentle and precise approach.
Losing Components
To prevent the loss of tiny components, work in a well-lit area and consider using a tray or container for organizing parts. This meticulous approach minimizes the risk of misplacing crucial elements.
Skipping Functionality Check
After replacing the watch battery, perform a functionality check to verify that all watch features are working correctly. Some watches may require recalibration, so follow the manufacturer's guidelines for any necessary adjustments.
Successfully replacing a watch battery requires a delicate touch and attention to detail. By steering clear of common mistakes during this process, you safeguard the intricate mechanisms of your timepiece and ensure its continued functionality.

What Does it Mean to Dream About Council
What Does it Mean to Dream About Council?
The meaning of a dream about a council can vary depending on the context. Whether youâre organizing something or trying to control others, keep in mind that your subconscious might be showing signs of oppression and suppression if this is what appears when you sleep.
What Does it Mean to Dream About Council
In your dream, you may have experienced the following
As a part of the council, I saw them hold meetings with townspeople to discuss projects. As their head, I knew when they made rulings and how we would proceed in executing those decisions. When we disagreed on an issue during my time as a student council member at school once, it was hard for me because everyone had different opinions. Still, eventually, one side won out over another, so thatâs what passed and became policy moving forward after our legislative body considered all changes. Sometimes people contact councils while deciding where new schools should be built or even more unusual topics such as whether there should be restrictions placed on certain breeds based upon danger level, which is definitely not typical!
Positive changes are afoot if
No matter the issue, it is important to speak up and make your voice heard. Sometimes there are tough decisions that need to be made for society to progress. However, speaking out against these issues can sometimes cause conflict when you do not see eye-to-eye with others who support themâI believe this was an instance where our opinions differed. Still, we were able to come together as a community, thanks largely in part to my involvement on council committees which helped us find common ground so everyone could support one anotherâs ideas moving forward.
Detailed dream interpretation
A dream of attending a council meeting with people you donât know tells us that you are thinking about how much control we have in our life versus outside factors. Sometimes, things happen out of our control, and although there isnât anything anyone can do to change it - while some aspects may be more difficult for others than they are for me - I still wish I had a greater influence on my surroundings.
If you dream of being part of the council, then it means that you are trying to take control of your life. You should not be surprised if it doesnât feel like a real achievement. Only dreaming about having power does not give much satisfaction unless there is something more behind such an opportunity than just getting a hold of other peopleâs responsibilities and positions in society. Taking active steps towards future success might involve working with others and communicating, which will always need to become oneâs skillset since we use both while building our career paths too often.
If you dreamt that you were the head of a council or if your dream formed such an organization, then there may be some bossiness to contend with. Youâre taking on too much responsibility and trying hard to control those around you - this is unfair as itâs not their fault they didnât do well at school! Others will learn from mistakes just like we all have before them. So, try being more liberal and letting people make their own decisions in life because rules are meant for everyone, no matter who makes them.
Dreaming of speaking at a city council meeting indicates that you are ready to voice your opinion. You might not always get what you want, but fighting for the right thing shows strength and courage. If there wasnât any say in the decision-making process, you feel helpless and oppressed by those around you because itâs out of your control. This isnât easy or fun to accept, though! The first step toward positive change would be accepting how things stand (which will help with voicing grief). Once weâre done grieving over our current situation, we can figure out where exactly all these feelings come from so that they donât continue holding us back!
If the council in your dream was mainly implementing laws (no matter how strange), you feel misunderstood or oppressed by other people. If the council in your dream is a student council, you might be trying to take action regarding things that happen daily and arenât going as planned. However, life doesnât always go our way, but weâre finally willing to make changes. For positive outcomes!
This dream is in association with the following scenarios in your life
Keeping yourself organized and avoiding chaos at all costs is a key component of retaining control over your life, especially in an increasingly chaotic world. Everyone can take charge and make their own decisions for themselves âsticking by them no matter what anyone else says or does. Taking action on these activities allows you to maintain autonomy while also acting as a leader.
Keeping up with public opinion can be difficult because everyoneâs got something they believe needs attention but having open communication lines across multiple platforms keeps people engaged even if not every message gets through completely.
Feelings that you may have encountered during a dream of council
A person might be described as shy, loud, expressive, communicative. They are vocal and organized. Most likely, they are also convinced of what they say and are attentive to others around them who may need help or support during difficult times in life or work situations. Sometimes these same people can feel oppressed by the way society views their characteristics. So also, other times there is a certain level of concern for how their demands could negatively impact those around them both physically but emotionally too when it comes down to demanding more from employers about better wages at jobs where one has worked hard over time without much change financially despite sacrifices made along the way.

CQL-Verse: Wen Ning did a whole lot of risky stuff saving JC and the bodies at Lotus Pier. What if NMJ hears and gets talked into helping protect him and the Wen remnants by the Jiang bros, because even if he's a wen, he still 1. whole ass poisoned wen chao 2. straight up commited treason and was punished for it to protect sect heirs and 3. is extremely baby brotherable. you can fit so much h/c into this bad boy
ao3
Untamed
1
Wen Qing was angry about the trials, but Wen Ning thought they made a reasonable amount of sense.
After all, how was the rest of the cultivation world supposed to know what they did in the war without a proper trial? It was only reasonable for them to make certain assumptions about them based on their surname, the same way everyone assumed that those surnamed Jin were rich, those surnamed Lan were beautiful, those surnamed Jiang were bold to the point of arroganceâŠ
The Nie were supposedly known for their tempers, but Wen Ning hadnât seen much evidence of that so far.
In fairness, his only experiences with a Nie were, firstly, with Nie Huaisang at the Cloud Recesses, which he was fairly sure didnât count, and now, during the trial, with Nie Mingjue.
Nie Mingjue laughed the entire trial.
âYou poisoned the wine,â he sniggered. âAt their own celebratory feastâŠ! And then you just went straight to Yiling, where your sister was in charge. And it still took him how long to find you?â
âWeeks,â Wen Ning meekly admitted. Â
âCan we go back to the bit where you saved Wei-xiong from the giant dog beast using stolen needles?â Nie Huaisang asked.
âNo, we cannot,â Nie Mingjueâs deputy â a somewhat long-suffering looking man that they all called Meng Yao â said. âHeâs already gone over it four times, Huaisang.â
âBut ââ
âNo.â
âSpoilsport! Look at how much fun da-geâs having; itâs not fair.â
âHeâs the sect leader. If he wants to hoot like a shrieking monkey, heâs entitled to it.â
âIâm not hooting,â Nie Mingjue protested. âI am recognizing talent.â
âTalent.â
âExactly. Talent.â
âAtâŠwhat, exactly?â
âCausing trouble,â Nie Huaisang volunteered. âI recognize it from Wei-xiong, I could spot it anywhere.â
âCould we possibly proceed with the trial?â Meng Yao asked, obviously deciding not to continue with that discussion. âWe have six more to finish today. Can I assume that given the evidence of Wen-gongziâs subversive activities and his subsequent imprisonment throughout much of the Sunshot Campaign, he is absolved of all crimes and allowed to go free?â
âYou spoilsport,â Nie Mingjue said, rolling his eyes at him. âYes, I think so. Wen Qionglin, you are free to go your own way â though if you wish to stay here in Qinghe as a guest cultivator, we would be glad to have you for however long you wish.â
Wen Ning thought that sounded all right.
2
The Nie sect were known for their tempers, and justly so, but Wen Ning quickly figured out that he didnât need to be afraid of Nie Mingjueâs occasional outbursts (quickly roused, quickly doused) or Nie Huaisangâs temper tantrums (petty) and occasional grudge-holding (rarer but much more dangerous).
No, Wen Ning figured out very quickly in his first weeks that the one to be afraid of was clearly Meng Yao.
Wen Ning had been weak and sickly his whole life in a sect that valued strength above all; he had survived hiding behind his sister, but she couldnât always be there for him, no matter how she tried. Heâd soon learned that surviving on his own meant being quiet and obedient, never making trouble or drawing attention to himself, and it also meant being extremely attuned to the minute expressions that might signal the difference between Wen Chao being angry enough to throwing a teacup at his head and being angry enough to order him to be taken outside and beaten until unconscious.
The same skills helped him in the Nie sect, where people were very often angry. Wen Ning could tell the difference between Nie Mingjue raging to let out steam (moderately common and generally innocuous, easily ignored) and being actually upset (typically only dangerous to the furniture, which was a nice change, but more worrisome in the sense that he might go and do something stupid afterwards), and he could tell that Nie Huaisangâs true anger, so rarely triggered, tended more towards the cold and hidden (definitely a sign he was going to do something, but unfortunately for everyone involved itâd invariably be far more malicious - enough to make you long for stupid).
He could tell that Meng Yao was, despite all his smiles, very often angry.
Like Nie Mingjue, Meng Yaoâs temper was easily roused to the point of fury; like Nie Huaisang, his anger lasted a long time and usually called for some malicious action before it could be properly assuaged.
âSenior Meng,â Wen Ning tentatively said one day when his curiosity got to be too much for him. âCould I ask a rude question?â
Meng Yaoâs temper, hidden deep in his eyes, flared at once, preemptively, and Wen Ning shivered and looked down at the ground. He had known what he was risking, but he hoped that asking permission in advance might allow him to get the question out with minimal reprisals â cold meals for a few days, perhaps, or being assigned to the training yard only when the most sadistic training-master was supervising, but only for a week or so.
âOf course, Wen-gongzi,â Meng Yao said, and he sounded nice and pleasant and like no question could possibly be rude enough to cause him any disturbance. It was a little frightening how good he was at that. âI canât imagine what you would want to know that would be rude.â
âAre you related?â Wen Ning blurted out. âTo Sect Leader Nie, I mean â his family ââ
Meng Yao stared at him. His mouth was slightly hanging open.
ââŠitâs a stupid question,â Wen Ning concluded, feeling ashamed. Of course Meng Yao had been promoted entirely on merit; it was only his imagination getting away from him. âIâm sorry. Iâll go ââ
âNo, wait,â Meng Yao croaked. âRelated â to the Nie sect â forgive me. How did you reach that conclusion?â
âI mean, youâre obviously treated as part of the main family,â Wen Ning pointed out. There were plenty of Nie cousins that werenât treated anywhere near as well; both Nie Mingjue and Nie Huaisang were not only protective but almost possessive over Meng Yaoâs time and dignity - surely by now everyone knew that the surest way to get them each angry in their own ways was to slight Meng Yao. âYou wear Nie braids like them â you wear clothing like them â you have a temper like them ââ
Meng Yao started laughing.
ââŠdid I miss something?â
3
âIâm surprised you didnât go to the Lotus Pier after youâd been absolved,â Nie Huaisang said, tapping the weiqi piece on the board a few times before making a move. âGiven your fondness for Wei-xiong and all that.â
âWei-gongziâs very nice,â Wen Ning said vaguely, staring down at the board. Heâd played a lot of weiqi in his life â including against Wen Ruohan when the man had still been remotely sane, mostly because heâd been the only one stuck back at the palace with him more often than not â but playing against Nie Huaisang required all of his attention. The first time he looked away, heâd get lured into a trap. âVery kind.â
âAnd yet you stay here,â Nie Huaisang prompted. âIn Qinghe, with us, when even your sister picked the Lotus Pier.â
Wen Ning had never been without his sister this long before. He knew that she still expected him to come to the Lotus Pier. She hadnât expected him to last the week without her; sheâd said as much when she first went, huffing at him for being ridiculous â a Wen as a guest cultivator in the Nie sect, of all places? â and telling him, in between reminders to take his medicine on time, that sheâd prepare a place for him there so that he would be comfortable when he arrived.
Her letters, in the weeks and now months since that time, had never overtly asked when he was going to finally get around to moving there, and had recently developed an almost quizzical tone, as if sheâd finally realized that he wasnât.
âI like it here,â Wen Ning said, and moved his piece.
Nie Huaisang moved his own almost immediately in response, which meant that Wen Ning had made a horrible mistake that played straight into Nie Huaisangâs hands. Not an uncommon occurrence.Â
âIâm glad to hear that,â he said. âWe like having you here, too.â
Surprised, Wen Ning looked up.
Nie Huaisang was smiling at him â he smiled nearly as often as Meng Yao, but unlike Meng Yao, he never smiled if he didnât want to, so his smiles were actually sincerely meant each and every time. He had a wide range of smiles: nervous smiles, cheerful smiles, devious smilesâŠ
Wen Ning was good at reading expressions, but he had to admit heâd never had to work as hard at it as he did with Nie Huaisang.
âWeâre a very nice sect, really,â Nie Huaisang said, and even seemed to believe it. âWeâre always open to people who are like us. The only thing we canât tolerate is injustice and betrayal; as long as you stick with us and put us first, youâre ours, and weâre yours.â
That sounded nice, Wen Ning thought, and moved a piece blindly. âYou think Iâm like you? My sister doesnât think so.â
âI think you fit in very nicely,â Nie Huaisang said, and his smile had teeth to it. He moved quickly, again. âYouâre angry and resentful, but you donât let it get in the way of what you want - just like us. Your sister probably doesnât think that about you, either, but then again, thatâs why sheâs in the Jiang sect, with their heads in the air, dreaming of the impossible. I bet she never even noticed that you had a temper.â
She hadnât. Wen Ning had been her baby brother and nothing else for a long time; he never had to defend himself as long as she was around.Â
Heâd never had the chance to defend himself.
(He didnât resent her for that. He didnât. She was his big sister, his favorite person, and he loved her so much that he didnât mind the way that all her fussing sometimes made the world feel cramped and small, as if he were being forced into a place that heâd long since outgrown.)
âDo I have a temper?â he asked, and moved another piece.
âOh, yes,â Nie Huaisang said. âYouâre like me â slow to boil â and like Meng Yao, hiding it behind your eyes. Youâre even a bit like da-ge: you donât need to be the one get the frustration out as long as something deals with it, but if nothing does, it nags at you and wears at you, like a thorn stuck in your flesh, until you canât be silent any longer. Until you have to do something, or else youâll explode.â
That sounded about right, Wen Ning thought. Heâd never really had a chance to explode in the Wen sect, out of fear of what theyâd do to his sister if he did, and heâd been sick with it â heâd limited himself to little rebellions, nameless pranks, right up until he met Wei Wuxian, who was kind to him, and couldnât stop himself from helping him. He sometimes thought, in the days heâd spent in the dungeons, that if he died heâd come back as a fierce corpse, soul-calming rituals or no, and heâd might even enjoy it if only for the opportunity to finally vent his feelings â to finally pay back every single injustice that heâd ever seen, each one marked down in his heart in an indelible list of regrets.
Maybe Nie Huaisang was right.Â
Maybe that was why he stayed here, in the Nie sect, the sect of do not tolerate evil instead of the Lan sectâs chivalry and righteousness or the Jiang sectâs attempt the impossible.
Maybe he wanted to fight back for once. To have a temper, to have rage, to be something more than Wen Qingâs shy, stuttering shadow.
âI like it here,â he said again, but if his words were the same then the flavor was different: he meant it this time. Â
He understood, this time, what he meant by it.
Nie Huaisang smiled at him and moved another piece. Winning the game, Wen Ning noticed.
âGood,â he said. âNow move over â sit in front of the mirror. Iâll show you how to do your hair right.â
âReally?â
âReally. Also, Da-geâs been practically champing at the bit to teach you saber, and Meng Yao has been making grandiose plans about redoing the way we recruit and train doctors with you leading the charge, so if youâre not up for either of those, nowâs the time to say something.â
Wen Ning settled down in front of the mirror.
âNo,â he said. âThose sound good to me.â

The Invitation (Young!Lucius Malfoy x Reader)
Warnings: Smut, smut, smut! Alcohol comsumption. Finger fucking, overstimulation. Vaginal penatration. Daddy kink, subspace mention. Oral giving and receiving. Pure filth.
Word count: 3,469
Summary: Gryffindor!Reader gets invited to the Slytherin party of the year by her nemesis, Lucius Malfoy. Fun times follow.
A/N: @thotbutpurpleâ mentioned my first piece not having enough smut. I hope I delivered! Quite proud of this one, worked on it for nearly a week.
Admittedly, Lucius had caught you under the perfect circumstances. Equal parts tipsy, horny and momentarily separated from your friends.Â
Slytherin house had decided to throw another one of their infamous partyâs brimming with free booze and food catered by the schoolâs house elves.Â
Over the years, you, like countless other students, had heard the tales of their untamed nights. Admittance being through invite only; of which were handed out secretly and strategically.Â
Up until yesterdayâs events, you had resigned yourself to the fate of never experiencing the grandeur of the self-proclaimed Slytherin Elite.
Friday, February 10th, 1978
Cutting off poor Frank Longbottom who was usually your lab partner in Potions, Lucius Malfoy, slips into the seat to your left with a low and harsh, âFind another station, you gormless Muppet.â
At this point, it was your natural reaction from hearing his voice, to let out a disgruntled sigh paired with an annoyed eye roll.Â
âWhat do I owe the displeasure of being in your cologne drenched presence today, Malfoy?â You jabbed, in a soft but clearly inconvenienced tone.Â
His gray irises narrowed as his thin lips quirked up to the side in a laidback smirk.
He enjoyed your pointed jabs. So much so that he would go out of his way, on the daily, to verbally prod you until you couldnât take being in the same vicinity as him anymore. Your unpleasant interactions with the older boy usually ended with you storming off enraged to go rant to your friends about how much of an absolute cunt he was.Â
âI come bearing gifts, Y/N. One of which I firmly believe you wonât be able to resist accepting.â He drawled.
Inwardly, you had to admit, this piqued your curiosity however, you decided to mask it by turning away from his irritatingly, attractive visage and towards a piece of parchment Professor Slughorn distributes to the class.
âAnd this so-called gift is what exactly?â You questioned, careful to keep your eyes trained off of him. A task that was quickly shoved aside when a pale hand slid a single, silver metallic stamp into view. It was no bigger than a galleon. Finely embellished with the words: Salazar Slytherinâs Spectacular SoirĂ©e.
Your eyes bulged and mouth gaped as you couldnât help but snap your head to look at his face once more. âLucius!â You whispered in absolute surprise.Â
âThat canât be what I think it is.â You continue after a sharp inhale.
He tilts his head as he takes in your clearly enthralled reaction, not replying to your statement.Â
You take a moment to compose yourself. Drawing your hands into small fists on the desk and letting out a silent but deep exhale.Â
You didnât need to ask why he would gift this to you of all people. Luciusâ verbal prodding had been getting progressively more consistent once youâd entered your seventh year this semester.Â
Like most girls turning 18, your inherently childish ways had vanished; awkward appearances for the most part altered and morphed during the summer spent away from Hogwarts. Hips slowly filling out and breasts becoming distinguished. Meanwhile, your library of insults to throw at him became more deadly and varied.Â
You could play his game better than he expected you to now.
You crossed your legs underneath your skirt, steeling your expression. You leaned forward to lay your chin against your right palm and turned your gaze towards him. Making a show of looking him up and down before quietly whispering:Â
âAll this just to fuck me huh, Malfoy?â His face stills and demeanor changes. Tongue-tied by your change of tone.
You proceed with a nonchalant, âYour mind must be plagued with questions of just how pretty and pink my pussy is. Iâm right arenât I, sweetheart?â
You observe his jaw lock in place.
âDo you want to brag to your spineless lackeys about how you were the first one to fuck that cocky, Gryffindor halfblood? I bet you wouldnât wait to boost over how all you had to do was touch her once, call her a filthy, little mudblood and sheâd come like a bitch without a pedigree.â
His eyes darken and fists clench so tightly that they turn whiter than you thought possible for him; as you inwardly muse over if he was becoming horny or infuriated. Maybe it was both, but you wouldnât stick around to see the outcome. He was a deadly bomb waiting to go off.
Pursing your lips, looking him over once more, you decide to leave him with, âNice chat. Iâll see you around then, Lucius.âÂ
Agilely, you gather your things. Sauntering over to Professor Slughorn and quietly feeding him a contrived lie about how itâs that time of the month and you didnât think youâll be able to sit through todayâs lecture; effectively earning yourself leave from the classroom.
As Lucius sits, daftly staring at your back as you make your escape. If he wasnât previously furious from listening to your small beratement, he most definitely is when he glances down to see the silver stamp invite missing from where he had placed it on the table.
âThat bloody minx.â He seethes under his breath.
Having made your speedy getaway and in the clear for the moment, you decide to make a beeline to the Gryffindor common room where you know your friends are spending their free period.Â
Remus, who is the first to notice you entering the warm lounging area, stands up at your arrival and walks to meet you halfway.Â
âY/n, arenât you supposed to be in Potions right now? Did something happen?â He questions, his brows beginning to furrow. Sirius and James who are seated next one another mid-laugh immediately turn their heads in your direction.
Not stopping your power walk, you reach out and grasp one of his hands and pull him with you towards the boyâs dormitory entrance. âPadfoot, Prongs! Up, up!â You urgently whisper in their vicinity.Â
Once the door is securely locked behind the four of you, Sirius questions you, âAlright, spit it out. Whatâs got your panties in a twist this time, Y/L/N?â
You ignore him, haphazardly tossing your book-bag on the floor next to Jamesâ bed; of which you proceed to throw yourself onto the edge of, letting out a cheerful giggle.Â
âBoys. Iâve just been bestowed one the greatest gifts a Hogwarts senior could ask for. One of which, you lot would have never been able to get your hands on. So you must now bask in my glory!â You jokingly proclaim, yanking off your school shoes before pulling your legs into criss cross-applesauce. Incapable of caring that your underwear is now in the boyâs lines of sight.
âAnd what is this gift exactly, oh great benefactor?â James questions, sitting on the floor in front you, folding his arms atop your lap and leaning his head forward on them with a fond smile.Â
Your fingers absentmindedly glide and fiddle through his chaotic curls. âI donât know, you might not be able to handle the excitement. I fear you might faint from the shock of the reveal!â You continue to jest.
âI best take a seat before you continue then.â Remus grins, plopping down next you on the bed, giving you his undivided attention. This of which, causes Sirius to scoff.Â
âDish it already, woman. At the pace youâre going, Iâll be a skeleton by time you finally tell us what the big deal is.â He sarcastically jabs folding his arms briskly. Instead of moving away from the door, he leans his back against it and crosses one leg over the other. His gaze lazily quizzical as you roll your eyes at his apprehension.Â
âSirius, youâre no fun sometimes, but if youâre in such a hurry to cum your pants then here it is.â You reply, reaching the hand thatâs not currently tangled in Jamesâ hair, to triumphantly pull out a small, silver stamp from the inside of your bra and present it for the group to see.
There are mixed reactions to the reveal.Â
James scrunches his nose up in mock disgust, Sirius freezes and Remus placing one hand on your shoulder, leaning forward to get a better look. And then the questions begin.
âWhat is it?â
âOh, it just happens to be a pass into one of Slytherin houseâs craziest parties of the year, James dear.â
âHowâd you even manage to get your hands on one of these?â
âLike I said, it was a gift, Remus.â
âBe honest, Y/n. What poor sod did you steal it from?â
âFor your information I didnât have to steal it. Lucius Malfoy just handed it to me for nothing.â You say matter-of-factly at which he first gapes before proceeding to fume.Â
The conversation that continued from then on took a tiny bit of convincing on your end, but all three boys agreed in the end to come with you. No one in their right mind would let a chance like this go by.
Saturday, February 11th, 1978
âIf you think you could pull the stunt you did yesterday and waltz in here today without having to answer to me, youâre gravely mistaken, lionet.â Lucius whispers into your ear and you just happen to be in the mood to challenge him further.
âI donât think Iâve made even one mistake though, Daddy.â You coo back to him. Batting your eyelashes up at him and with a quick smirk you bring your cup of fire whiskey back to your lips for a sip.
With one hand he grabs your hips and pushes your back flush with the wall behind you. The other reaching under the skirt youâre wearing and pausing right at the hem.
âProd me one more time, doll. I guarantee Iâll have you crying your pretty little eyes out.â He growls into your neck and this time you openly giggle up at him.
âI thought you knew thatâs what I wanted, baby?â was the last thing you drawled out before the next thing you know, heâs dragging you further away from the main party, into a small reading room.Â
Closing the door behind you two, he leads you to sit down on one of the ottomans in the middle of the room.
âIâll let you in on a secret, Y/N. A small part of your observation from yesterday was correct.â He says undoing the tie around his neck and bunching it up. Before you could question him further, he gingerly stuffs it in-between your mouth.
âCan't risk having anyone hearing the cute little moans you'll be letting out for me. I want all the time I can get from you tonight, lionet.â Is all he offers as an explanation.
Rubbing your thighs together to aid in soothing your gradually aching cunt, you watch as he gets on his knees in front of you.
âIâve spent countless months thinking of this stupid, fucking pussy of yours and tonight Iâm determined to have it creaming all over my cock.â He's gazing at you intensely while his hands are reaching to pull off your undies.
Not being able to actually respond around your makeshift gag, you settle for lifting your hips so he can get to pleasing you quicker.
As the minutes pass, the soberer you become but Luciusâ arousing words continue to sway you into a pliant and silent submission.Â
Never in a million years did you think you would willing want Lucius Malfoy to fuck you senseless but the closer you get to having him, the more sure you are of it. You pray to Morgana that he leaves your cunt an absolute mess.
Once youâre free from your undergarment, he pulls you by your thighs until your ass is flush against the edge of the couch.
He pushes your knees back against your chest to get full access to your core, âDaddy wants you to keep your thighs nice and wide for him so he can wreck your little pussy, okay?â He questions and you let out a muffled sob of your confirmed understanding.
âGood girlâ is all he replies before he gets to work. Spreading the lips with two fingers, he examines just how pink you are down there, seemingly pleased because immediately after, he springs into action.
His mouth cups around your clit, starting off slow and light to ease you into the pleasure before increasing the intensity.Â
He begins alternating between sucking and lapping at your bud while a single finger makes its way to your slit. Leisurely dragging the pad in your wetness before sliding it inside you, centimeter by centimeter, until itâs gone as far it can go.Â
Thrusting the one finger in and out until he feels your insides are soaked and loose enough for the next.Â
By the time youâre comfortablely taking four fingers fucking into you, your arousal is dripping down his wrist and youâre nearing your first orgasm.
âLu- Lucius!â You manage to drool out through the thickness of his tie, catching his attention.Â
âLuci- Iâm close!â You try to sob out and he responds by sucking and lapping at your clitorus intenser than before. His tongue rubbing just the right angle and you canât help but let out a small squeal as your body is raked over with a white flash of euphoria.
He eases you through it with softer and softer laps as you squeeze your thighs to your chest with a vice grip. He licks up the remainder of your cum before coming up to remove the tie from your mouth and pull you into an enticing kiss.Â
As your breathing relaxes, he pulls his lips away. âHow was that, sweetheart? Did Daddy make your little cunt feel good like he promised?â He coos, caressing your shoulders to soothe you further.
Fighting to get your words back you mewl, âMmhmm, thank you Daddy. Felt really good, just like you promised. Do you think Iâve been good enough to have your cock though?â you ask looking up at him through wet lashes. His immediate response is a moan.Â
How is it that you know just what to say to rile him up? He wonders.
Picking you up, he takes your place on the couch. Pulling off his trousers and underwear, finally freeing his cock, it swings upright against his tummy. Scooting to leisurely lean back, he places you in his lap as you take a minute to admire his member. Itâs thick and hard with a raging reddish-pink tip, leaking a small amount pre-cum.Â
Your core throbs and thereâs no way youâre not gonna suck him off before getting him inside of you. Before you can scuttle off his lap however, his hands are gripping your hips. âWhere are you going, love? I thought you wanted my cock?â He questions with a smirk.Â
Of course Lucius would make you beg to suck him off, you think, responding with a desperate moan. You try to lean in for a kiss but a hand flies up to hold your jaw in place. Squishing your cheeks and mouth together.
âAh ah.â He tuts. âYou know what to do, baby.âÂ
You let out a defiant whine and the hand around your cheeks grip tightens.Â
âDaddy just told you to beg, you fucking whore.â He growled, giving your head a slight jerk back and you melt against him.Â
Grasping at his shoulders and trying to keep yourself from swooning, you respond with, âWanna suck your cock, Daddy. Can I make you feel good please? You can even fuck my throat. Let me be a good girl for you.â you whimper through his grip and he just smiles at you before pulling you in for the kiss you wanted.
âThatâs all you had to say, little lionet. Come on, let Daddy slide down your throat.â He grins and you practically fly down from his lap to get his penis in your mouth.
Moaning when his pre-cum hits your tongue, you immediately lick up and down his length. Getting as much spit around him as possible before beginning to use your hands to jerk him off. Lapping at his tip all the way to sucking his balls between your lips.Â
All he can do is whisper softly âFuck fuck fuck, yes- ah thatâs a good girl. My little girl is such a good slut for me.â before you come up to start deepthroating him and then his head is lolled back against the couch, gently holding both sides of your face as his tip hits the back of your throat.
Pulling you off of him by the hair at the nape of your neck, he has to take deep inhales and exhales âI wanna come in you, sweetheart.â He groans, caressing your hair.
Once heâs recovered enough, he lifts you to sit back on his lap, this time facing away from him.Â
You lean forward grasping his knees while he fingers you to make sure youâre ready to take him. âAlright, Angel.â He groans, licking his newly wet fingers to taste your arousal once more before reaching around to rub slow circles against your clit.
As you slide onto him, leaning your back against his chest, the room fills with your collective sighs and moans of pleasure.
He begins to set the pace, starting with slow pulls out of your heat before using your weight to pull you back down onto him firmly. Experiencing such euphoria that coherent speech begins to elude you. The both of you too lost in the pleasure to say anything other than âYes, yes, yes! Right there, fuck me!â mixed with slurred moans and sighs.
His fingers rubbing your clit in circles, fastens in pace and soon your second orgasm knocks into you so hard that all you can do is grip his wrist and thigh, convulsing helplessly around him.Â
As youâre climaxing, Lucius fuzzily notices that youâre squirting. All that can be heard from your lips is a fucked out wail and heâs sure heâs in love.Â
Heâs fucked you through your orgasm and the pleasure is gradually escalating into overstimulation. Your body locking in place as he maintains the same pace, rocking into you.Â
âLuci- fuck! Lucius!â Youâre crying now, thrown deep into subspace.
âCome on Angel, let me give you one more. Think you can manage one more orgasm, hm?â He asks desperately fucking into you like heâs starved of pleasure.
âCan you handle it, babygirl?â
âO- Okay!â Literally sobbing now from the buildup. Heâs fucking you like youâve never experienced before.Â
âIt hurts so good, Luci- youâre fucking me so good!â You cry out, both of you racing towards the end.Â
One last thrust does it and he grabs you by the waist to bring you down on him. You let a blissed out scream and heâs resting his forehead against your back breathing heavily. Warmth spreading in your stomach as he releases into you. He gives a few thrusts before pulling out.
Youâre feeling fuzzy as he cleans your inner thighs and face off. He sprinkles kisses from your legs to your lips, praises peppering your ego.Â
âYou were such a good girl for me.â
âLook at you baby. So pretty.â
âGood job, love.â
âYou were wonderful, little lionet.â
Pulling your panties back on for you, heâs pleased knowing his come is still inside you. âSomething to remember me by.â He says before pulling you into one last kiss for the night. Itâs slow and soft and as your coherent mind is making its way back into your body, you register how tender heâs being.
Pulling back from his lips, you stare into his eyes. âI hope youâre aware that you canât fuck me that good and expect it to be a one time fling.â You state smiling, fingers grasping at his sides and he laughs.
âI was never planning for it to be, doll.â He replies, slipping a strand of hair behind your ear. âNow run along back to your miscreant friends. Iâll finish cleaning up here.â He pats your butt, pushing you towards the door and with a roll of your eyes, you head out.
After turning a few corners you immediately bump into Sirius who looks over you with a raised brow.Â
âWhat?â You ask, pulling back.
âNothing, you just look like you got fucked into next year though.â He barks out. Laughing his head off, pointing out your makeup thatâs missing in action and hair completely unstyled. You elbow him in the stomach feeling suddenly sheepish.
âShut up and help me find the others. Iâm in desperate need of a shower.â And you canât help but chuckle with him, his laugh being undeniably contagious.
âWhatever you say. I think I saw James challenging some random sod to an arm wrestling match.â

Stages of the Zodiac Signs
STAGES OF ZODIAC SIGNS â a Lifespanâs Evolution The common symbols of the Zodiac Signs, actually describe the first step, the first stage of your evolution. What few know is that this is only the beginning. You evolve. As life goes on, these stages change. Although you still keep your former stage in your heart, you progressively lose touch from it. Hence, as inevitably you attract new stimuli, you change. The only question is towards what? These are the Stages of Zodiac Signs. This is what you should expect.
Stages of Aries: Ram, Shephard, Reborn Sun The Ram. This is the symbol everyone knows about this zodiac sign. People born under its influence are passionate, conquerors and natural fighters. The Ram is a sacred symbol of many Solar Deities. It shows the potential. A hidden fire within, ever-burning. However, as they grow up, they realize that they engage in too many fights. And worse, not all fights are victorious. They have many casualties and theyâve been reckless and irresponsible. Hence, at some point of their lives, they see the loss. This is why they become⊠The Shephard. Grasping the Truth for the first time, they see how pointless it is to engage in rageful quarrels. Their awareness expands. They see what a Shephard sees. A never ending battle which is called life. This is when they turn into themselves. A turning point of their lives. However, itâs not an easy one. You see, a Shephard is lonely, isolated. He is a hermit. At this point, Aries needs time. Time to realise their true potential lies in their passion and not rage. This is when they turn their fire into⊠Reborn Sun. Aries is the first symbol of the Zodiac Circle. Why? Because that is when Nature resurrects from the Death of Winter. In Ancient Egypt, this is the symbol of Aries. The Reborn Sun, symbolizing the Death(s) an individual has to go through, in order to realise his/her true potential. Once you let go of pain, sorrow and rage, you will be reborn with this Ultimate Stage of Aries.
Stages of Taurus: Bull, Minotaur, Demigod Bull. Taurus, is symbolized by a Bull. But what is the occult meaning of this symbol? The Bull is a sacred animal in many ancient religions (Egyptian, Indian, Greek). Hence, the Bull symbolized the potentials of Nature. Spring is there and its fierce. Nothing can stop it. There is only one way and this is forward; exactly how a Bull sees its world. However, quite often, due to their lack of ability to see other options, they crash on walls. Those are the obstacles a Taurus is programmed to break and not to surpass. Gradually, they see that they cannot assert their dominance to other people. This is when they become⊠Minotaur. This legendary beast, half human with the head of a Bull, is a personification of our instinctive passions which, some times, we think are incompatible with human nature. Shame is a deadly foe. Hence, the Minotaur, haunted by shame and regrets is more stubborn. This is when they are lost in the Labyrinth. Let me remind you that this legendary creature was lying in the dark chambers of a Labyrinth, guarding it. Hence, at this point of their lives, they are enraged, more stubborn than ever, but lost in the dark. This is when Taurus loses hope until they realize, that theyâre lost in the Darkness because they chose to! This is when all this power enlightens their spirit, break down the labyrinth and become⊠Demigod. This is no sugar-coating it. They truly become divine. Once they sense how powerful their spirit is, they channel it and create miracles. At this point of their lives Taurus perceives his/her power and liberates himself/herself from the boundaries of the physical Realm. However, they still cast miracles on Earth, enjoying satisfaction and beauty, guilt-free.
Stages of Gemini: Twins, Ship, Stars Twins. The first step of Geminiâs life is drenched with curiosity and love for new experiences. Hence, they seek new stimuli and, as they grow up, they (often successfully) engage in different activities, adopt diverse theories and work in many fields, as if they sense that time is not enough. However, at some point, they realise that there is an empty space in their heart. This comes after a loss, at young age. Hence, they become⊠Ship. As the Myth of Gemini tells us, the twin brothers joined the magical quest to find an amazing treasure. Hence, this symbolizes the stage of Gemini when they are bored from their way of living and seek the bigger truth. This quest, however, may be lonely and disappointing, at some point. Hence, most Geminis return to phase one â Twins. However, if they let go of this disappointment, they become⊠Stars. This is the final stage of the Zodiac Sign. Once they realise that their inner curiosity for knowledge is simply lust for life, they accept failures and disappointments, they let go of pain and they move forward, expanding their awareness and become a true source of Light. They become Stars!
Stages of Cancer: Crab, Hydra, Peacock Crab. This is the symbol everyone knows. A creature of the Sea, symbolizing the âwateryâ nature of this zodiac sign. Due to their rich emotions, they do not always âmoveâ in a logical way, just like the crab doesnât move in a straight line. Hence, as the sea is never the same, Cancerâs heart changes according to their stimuli around them. However, there are times when the crabâs strong exterior (devotion and loyalty) is crashed by cruelty and betrayal. This is when they become⊠Hydra. Hydras are creatures of the sea, symbolizing (seaâs and) Cancerâs blind rage. When you cut the head of hydra, two more sprout out. Unfortunately, this shows that when they feel broken they can do terrible things. Trying to stop them is like trying to stop a huge wave of the ocean. Itâs pointless. This is a very common stage of Cancer. They change, once they realise that as the Sea is vast, so are the people. Some are mean and hurtful, some are true and loyal. This is when their faith is restored and they become⊠Peacock. This is the sacred symbol of Great Mother, Hera, Queen of the Gods. At this stage everyone adores them. Although they donât intentionally show off, their actions speak for themselves. They are Grace and Blessings impersonated.
Stages of Leo: Lion, Warrior, King Lion. At first, a typical Leo is born to feel like being the king of the jungle. As if their world belongs to them, inherited by the divine forces. Leo is strong, faithful and passionate. However, at some point in their lives, their authority is questioned and this is when things turn wrong. Rage fills their heart, when they sense that someone can out-throne them. This is when they become⊠Warrior. At this point, all their energy is focused to prove themselves worthy. But worthy of what? What are they fighting for? For many years of their lives they are noble fighters in a war they did not choose. They are lost in elusive goals and spend their energy for silly tasks and quarrels. In truth, they fear time. Time is a threat to them because their beauty and splendour might fade. They become prideful and vain. But when they realise that the power comes from their bright spirit, they become⊠King. At this point they know that being a lion is being a king in a jungle. But they are so much more. This is when they realize their royal self. An ageless spirit, a never ending reign of their light. At this point they are full of love and understanding.
Stages of Virgo: Maiden, Dark Maiden, Queen Maiden. During their very first step in life, Virgo is the young Persephone, a young maiden goddess playing and experiencing her potential. Innocent, brilliant and graceful, the Maiden seeks the truth, while discovering herself on this Realm. However, at some point of their lives, as Persephone was kidnapped, Virgo is forced to travel to the Underworld. Dark Maiden. At this point Virgo is scared and sad. Although it might not show, they hide a huge sorrow in their hearts. But what is this all about? Most of the times, their sadness is rationalized by their need to put their minds in order. At this time of their lives, they are lost in the darkness of their Underworld. Many Virgos pass a long time suffering from depression. However, if they manage to forgive and accept the world as it is, just like Persephone, she marries the God of Underworld, Hades, and she become⊠Queen. At this stage, Virgo is capable of anything. They accept the truth of the world, that there is both Light and Darkness and they rule on both because of their crystal spirit. Hence, they are whole.
States of Libra: Scale, Blindfold, Sword Scales. The first step of Libra is being the Scales of Themis, goddess of Justice. Always trying to see all options, hear all opinions and take all possible advices. This is why they seem dependent on others and indecisive. What others see as lack of guts, is actually a very powerful procedure when they try to scale all options and be fair and just. However, as they cannot easily proceed in their lives this way, they become⊠Blindfold. Enraged and disappointed, they no longer wish to be just, because their energy is depleted. Hence, they make unnatural choices. This makes them feel bad for themselves. Hence, the Blindfold (of Themis). Virtue is no longer their guide. Once they understand that everyone makes mistakes, but itâs important to follow their instincts and heart, regardless, they become⊠Sword. The Sword (of Themis) is the personification of right decisions and power. At this point, nothing can stop them and their spirit is aligned with their will. What they think of, becomes reality!
Stages of Scorpio: Scorpion, Eagle, Phoenix Scorpion. The first step of their lives are Scorpions. Born survivors, they integrate their instincts and passions, in a fervid way, to achieve what they want. Seeking success and satisfaction, they often succeed, but, sometimes, they donât. When this happens they descend in darkness, as scorpions hide under stones. At this point, some of them might stay forever. Others, they realise their pointless pursuits and they become⊠Eagle. When this happens, Scorpions realise that they no longer need to hide, but they need to see the bigger picture and seek different types of success and satisfaction. Hence, at this point of their lives, they realise that they can seek both satisfaction and success elsewhere in life. As eagles, they fly higher and higher. Do you know who flies as high as an eagle does? No-one! This is when they realise how lonely they become. Failure is part of being human, and neglecting their human nature is not a wise choice. Hence, they become⊠Phoenix. At this point of their lives, their Spirit shines like never before. Accepting and letting go of hurtful memories, they realise their true potential. The Phoenix is eternal and made of the material the Gods are created from. Hence, they realise how powerful they truly are. Nothing can stop them now!
Stages of Sagittarius: Archer, Arrow, Centaur Archer. The first step in their lives, they feel that sky is the Limit. Sons and Daughters of Jupiter, they sense that a divine hand is guiding them. As archers, they aim and keep on aiming, again and again. They are optimistic. However, when eventually failure comes, they sometimes lose their sense of balance. They can become hurtful as an⊠Arrow. Although they still aim, they have focused so much to their goal they neglect to see the bigger picture. What they need to understand is that succeeding is not always winning. Hence, what once they thought they can conquer, now can be useless. This is when they need to expand their awareness and review their goals. As they thirst for freedom, they realise that they have imprisoned themselves! If they bravely see the truth, they can become⊠Centaur. This legendary creature is the personification of freedom, will, wisdom and human strength. Hence, at this point, a Sagittarius becomes a truly wise and successful person, a teacher for all of us. Transcending the human capabilities, the Centaur conquers his/her goals with ease and style!
Stages of Capricorn: Goat, Cave, Horn of Plenty Goat. The first and most known symbol is the Goat. A earthly creature which might not be as magnificent as the Lion, yet people depend on them for many, many reason. This is exactly like a typical Capricorn. People depend on them, and they are trustworthy and hard-workers. However, as they grow up, they feel that people might use and abuse them. This is when they turn to their⊠Cave. At this point of their live, they try to isolate themselves from toxic people and relationships. However, they cut off not only baneful relationships, but, also, healthy ones. As Amalthia, the Goat-nymph who nurtured Zeus in a cave, Capricorns usually seek this isolation as they feel endangered. On their way to the top, they lose touch with people whom once they loved. Thankfully, some of them realise that, and they become⊠Horn of Plenty. The symbol of the Amalthia is the Cornucopia, the Horn of Plenty. At this point of their lives, they realize that true riches come from abundance as a state of mind. Hence, they become truly rich in all possible ways, enjoying both material and spiritual goods!
Stages of Aquarius: Cupbearer, Eagle, Angel Cupbearer. The first step of their lives is when they feel alienated from other, because of their true self. Hence, they become eccentric, trying to communicate their differences in a plain, sad and boring world. The Cupbearer is dragged on Mount Olympus, stranger to all. However, once an Aquarius accepts the World, becomes the symbol of Zeus⊠Eagle. At this point of their lives they need to experience the whole world. Hence, they (want to) travel everywhere, see more, feel more, understand more. As this is noble, yet also, at some point, impossible, they might feel lonely and separated from all. A lonely eagle flying high. This is when they need to realize that they cannot feel the same way others do, because they are indeed an⊠Angel. Some of them realize their true Angelic nature and embrace it. These are the enlightened creatures who walk amongst us, shedding light in to the darkest places of Earth. Healers, helpers, divine instruments. They are both successful and truly happy, having found their rightful place on Earth.
Stages of Pisces: Fish, Darkness, Ocean Fish. The first step of their lives they feel like a fish in the vast ocean. Affected by the ever moving waves, they live in their matrix of emotions (sea) and energies around them. As true empaths, they are influenced by enlightened souls, but also by evil entities. Hence, they sometimes get lost into disappointing thoughts, and sadness kicks in. This is when they become⊠Darkness. Pisces often feel betrayed and lost, and they donât know what to do. In order to not hurt others, they seek to forget, so they wonât feel pain anymore. As the fish descends to the darkest depths of the sea, they wait there for a miracle to happen. Then, sometimes, they realise that the miracle is already there. As their Spirit is otherworldly bright, they gracefully accept their true nature and become⊠Ocean. This when they embrace the matrix as part of themselves and become the primordial god of Ocean. Hence, at this point, they know that power comes from their heart, and what they want can instantly happen, as they are part of something greater and wiser. They are the vast and rich ocean! Blessed be.

Part 2 || Part 4 || masterlist
âRemind me again why are we here.â Tsukishima tells you as soon as he steps foot inside your room.Â
He scans the room and immediately notices the mess that it is, particularly the top bunk of the bed which he doesnât doubt must be your share of it.
On the wall on the left side of the room are posters of seascapes and sea animals of different varieties while the desk bolted under it are framed photos of Sendai Frogs. He recognizes them all;, one was taken from the first win of the team on the first year you joined as the manager. The second is a photo of the team at the gym with the new members that year, including Kyoutani who had just recently joined. The last one is a selfie of you on the bus doing a peace sign and winking at the camera while everyone was sleeping.
He kinda feels bad for your roommate now. Youâre practically hogging the whole room.
You put down your bag on the floor and shoot him a confused look. âTo do our project?âÂ
When you told him to meet in your dorm, he agreed because he thought you meant the common area. After all, he had no reason to think youâd invite him to your room. You two may have disregarded the club incident, tucking it away as a sordid memory from a night of insanity, but that doesnât mean it is forgotten. However, that doesnât seem to be the case with you as you appear to genuinely find nothing wrong with the current situation.Â
You seat yourself at your table, taking out your laptop and notes from the trip last time.
âGo sit, Tsukishima,â you say without even looking at him as you spread out your notes on the tableâs surface as your laptop boots up.Â
âWe couldâve just done this in the library, or at least in the lobby,â he says as a matter-of-factly.
âTrue, but I also donât see any problem with doing it here,â you answer passively, still occupied with arranging your papers.Â
He was right. It really does not bother you at all. So, he shouldnât be bothered with it either. This way, at least, no one would see you and him together. Youâre a person he doesnât want to be associated with hanging around with anyways.Â
âDo you always invite your groupmates to your room?â He asks out of curiosity since it didnât seem like anything for you to just invite him in, as if you didnât care much about your privacy.Â
âHmm. Depends,â you answer.Â
He takes out his own laptop, but still eyes you as he prods further. âOn what?â
The curve of your lips tugs up slightly as you sit up straight and lift your gaze away from the notes you took out and finally turn your attention to him.
âI welcome those who wonât get handsy with me.â
âEven if youâre the one whoâd get handsy with them?â he boldly counters.
You cock your head to the side with hints of amusement playing across your features, which vexes him. The question was supposed to tear your composure, not entertain you.Â
âAlright, letâs get the fucking elephant out of the room since it bothers you so much,â you announce with levity.Â
If youâre going to be honest, the kiss still finds its way to your mind sometimes. You just keep pushing it off so that you wonât get stressed out by it. What you find interesting is that he still keeps shoving that fact that you kissed him as if you wanted to do so.
Well, you literally did kiss him, but itâs not like you sought for it prior to the incident.Â
It just ⊠happened.
âIâll come clean, good sir, if youâll allow me,â you declare sarcastically before setting a more serious tone. âI admit it. It was one hell of a mistake to kiss you. But I didnât mean to. As ridiculous as it sounds, I really didnât. It was just one of those stupid, off-the-cuff things people do.âÂ
Your voice takes an accusatory note when you ask, âAnd why do you sound like I harassed you or something? Hmm? âCause if I remember correctly.â
You cross your arms and look up, pretending to be deep in thought before facing him again with a fraudulent shock. âOh right!â you exclaim exaggeratedly. âYou kissed me back,â you add in almost a sing-song manner.
You put an elbow on the table and rest your cheek on your palm as you hold his glare with a snide grin. âHow about that?âÂ
He continues shooting daggers at you but you donât falter. Quite soon enough, he lets up and returns to the passive, apathetic face he usually wears, which signals your victory for the argument. âLike you said, it was one of those dumb on the spot whims.â
You nod agreeably. âAlright, great. Now that that has been established, let me reassure you. Itâs never ever gonna happen again. Ever.â Â
Your eyes are devoid of any humor while your words drip with firm resolve. Yet, he finds it off that youâre not asking him to do the same given that you both just agreed that you are equally accountable for that imprudent act. He is almost just as guilty.Â
âArenât you going to ask the same from me?â
Your somber expression breaks into a humored one as a laugh rumbles from your throat. You shake your head in comical delight while you look at him. âNo, I wonât. Actually...â you drift off as you scoot closer to him until youâre right beside him. âGive it your best shot.â
You close your eyes and tilt your chin up. Did you really just dare him to kiss you? Kiss those stupid lips and have a repeat of that appalling night?Â
Should he?
He would do it just to erase the smug off your face, just to prove you wrong. But similar to that night, he canât bring himself to do it. He hates the idea of instigating such a thing.Â
Even more so now that heâs already had a taste of those lips. Those lips that felt too exquisite that it infuriated him. Those lips that took away his logical thinking. With you offering those lips to him so generously, you make him hate them even more. That pretty face and that playful smile of yours do nothing but add to his fury.Â
âCan you get your face away from me?âÂ
You peek one eye open before bursting into laughter, making his displeasure towards you skyrocket. Why the fuck is he always your laughing stock?
âSee? This is why I donât mind you coming over, Tsukishima. I bet if I strip naked right now, youâd walk out in a heartbeat.â
His scowl deepens. The mental image of your unclad body is very much unwelcome and unappreciated. âBring that up again and I really will leave,â he snaps.Â
Even with your smile intact, your humored expression dissolves a bit and is replaced by a curious guise.
âYou know, everyone likes me except you,â you say with no shred of diffidence. Â
You really are full of yourself. You might be âlikeableâ for a lot of people, but that doesnât mean every single person you meet actually likes you. Heâs certain there are people who you rub off the wrong way -- people like him.Â
âIsnât that a bit too conceited, even for you?â
You shrug your shoulders indifferently. âMaybe so. But youâre the only person who shoves your blatant dislike on my face.â
âYou didnât seem to have a problem with it for the past three years,â he replies as he flips his laptop open and boots it up so he can turn his attention somewhere other than you.Â
âI didnât need to work with you like this for the past three years.â
He doesnât know where youâre going with the conversation so he doesnât respond anymore. Heâs certain you know why he finds you a pain in the neck. You constantly get on his grill with every opportunity you get. Maybe if you didnât, he could actually tolerate your topsy turvy persona. But itâs as if itâs your personal mission to aggravate him.
âIâm putting the deal I offered during the trip,â you announce.
âWhat deal?â he asks as he starts typing bullet points of what should be done today so he can go home already.
âForget Iâm the annoying manager when itâs just us two. And I wonât deliberately piss you off.â
He types the last bullet point before returning his attention on you. âThen what? I suddenly become nice to you?â
âHell no! Iâm not asking for a fucking miracle. Itâs not like youâre ever nice to anybody. Geez!â you explain derisively. âI just want us to have a conversation where youâre not giving me death glares.â
You give him a smile, one that lacks your usual haughtiness. Still, he canât tell if youâre being serious or if youâll actually manage to hold the deal youâre proposing. Truth be told, he wants it. He canât handle you being your usual if you two have to meet beyond training hours and, even worse, in private.Â
If this keeps up, he might end up cursing this subject by the end of the semester, which would be a waste because likes this subject way too much for you to taint it with your idiocy.
âDeliver your end of the bargain. Then youâll have mine.â
Your eyes twinkle with glee at his semi-approval. âWe have a deal then.âÂ
You go back to where youâre seated a while ago and proceed to start discussing at hand.
--
With the start of the game season, training has become more intense. Coach Mira had the team work on the weak points she identified with the help of the data you tallied from last seasonâs games.
âKyoutani! Do not lower those arms just yet. Keep those elbows up when you block,â Coach yells at him, as Kogane spiked from the other side of the court.
She looks over at the other players practicing their jump serves. She furrows her brows at something. Following her line of sight, you see that it falls on Tsukishima.Â
On his next serve, the ball spins ferociously but is of low height that it hits the middle of the night.Â
âY/n,â Coach calls out. She didnât have to say anything else as she cocks her head to Tsukishimaâs direction with a telling expression on her face. Sheâs asking you to handle him, and you know exactly why.Â
Before he can toss the ball for another jump serve, you yell out merrily which you know will definitely catch his ears, â Tsukki!! â and jog to where he is. His blank expression turns into a scowl when you reach him.Â
âCan you stop calling me that?â
âYouâre so mean. Arenât we close enough for me to call you â Tsukki â?.â You ask with a dramatic pout and exaggerated false woes that he visibly cringes after hearing it.Â
He doesnât respond to your pretentious act. âWhy are you here?â
You instantly lose the cheeky act and get to what Coach Mira wants to let him know. Youâre just going to twist the words a bit to his âliking.âÂ
This is the problem you noticed with Tsukishima, one worse than his rotten way of interacting with the team. He can be incredibly unmotivated at times, and when he is, he only gives the bare minimum amount of effort.Â
Itâs the one thing you can say you truly dislike about him because heâs a professional athlete for crying out loud. It doesnât matter if heâs unmotivated, uninspired, or doesnât feel like trying. He should be disciplined enough to push himself to put as much work as he usually does when training.
âYouâre not going to get those serves in with that half-assed attitude of yours,â you say sternly while you eye him with a threatening stare.Â
His face scrunches in utter displeasure. Heâs well aware that heâs not feeling his best today and heâd rather do blocking drills for the whole raining than do ten consecutive jump serves.Â
âSince enthusiasm is the answer to everything else, why donât you try it?â He bites back, which you obviously werenât expecting. Heâs always irritated when you point out his mistakes, but thus far he has always stayed silent.Â
Maybe the amount of time youâre spending together outside the gymnasium has made him reach the limit of his patience⊠which isnât even a lot to begin with.
âAre you serious?â you ask incredulously.
Of course he wasnât. You might have some sort of experience with volleyball (although he doesnât know to which extent), but jump serves are difficult. The coordination of the toss and the run up to hit it at the right angle is aggravatingly hard to pull off, especially for him since jump serves need tons of practice.
He detests the practice for it; he needs to run, jump, and swing his arm over and over. It is boring and tiring for him because it is purely based on physical prowess, compared to practicing blocking where heâs actually thinking.Â
He thought youâd leave him alone when you stepped away. Instead, you come back with a ball in your hand. You dribble it off the floor with unbendable focus as if youâre trying to recall something.
âAre you serious?â heâs the one who asks this time. He was just fucking around. He didnât expect youâd actually respond to his provocation.
âYep,â you answer with your full concentration on the ball in your hand as you spin it vertically. Some of the players notice what youâre up to and briefly stop what theyâre doing to watch.
You close your eyes and take a deep breath. You bat them open with burning determination before you toss the ball.Â
Instead of watching the ball, he watches your form. Thereâs no trace of awkwardness in your movements, almost like youâve done this frequently before. The three-step approach is nearly perfect as you propel yourself up to jump.Â
The sharp sound of the ball hitting your hand causes the rest of the gym to look at you. The ball spins ferociously at a height heâs not sure is sufficient to get over the other side of the court. He wishes it wonât. That would be the second worst thing you could ever do to him, the first one being that certain occurrence heâd rather not think about again.Â
You falter on your feet when you descend from your leap but you immediately look up to see if your serve makes it. Everyone else, including him, is on the edge as they watch whether the ball will get in or not.
It roughly scrapes the edge of the net, effectively thwarting its velocity. Still, it bounces off and lands inside the opposing court, causing the rest of the team to cheer you on as the ball hits the floor.
You seem to forget for a short while that you did it to spite him as your face beams with inexplicable joy while his contorts with ire.Â
Even if the momentum of the ball was broken, you still managed to get it over - the one thing he hadnât been able to do from his last eight attempts. Meanwhile, you did it on your first.Â
You definitely had a lot of experience in high school. No beginner can manage to do a jump serve like that, even if it was flawed.
âShit,â he silently curses when you face him with a cocky grin disguised as a pleasant one.Â
âWho knew that my experience being an outside hitter and captain of my high school team would still be useful as your manager?â you ask as you slowly walk towards him.
He doesnâ expect that your knowledge about the sport came from first-hand experience. He thought youâre manager of another team previously or just a crazy volleyball enthusiast.
You pick up another ball and softly push it against his rib as you look up to him with contempt. âDonât tell me I can do better than you,â you spur him on with squinted eyes.
He snatches the ball away from your hands and steps back from the serving line. He spins the ball one time and tosses it high. Instead of a three-step approach, he makes it a four to increase his vertical jump. He tosses it high enough and channels all his rage for you at the ball.Â
With how high he jumped, the ball easily goes over the net. Its trajectory curves when it crosses over and hits a spot a little bit just beyond the end line.
He clenches his fist at his another failed attempt despite exerting more than necessary effort for that shot. He avoids looking at you for heâd be put in an even worse mood if sees that taunting grin of yours.Â
But of course you had to make yourself seen and intentionally go in front of him with an impressed look in your face instead of a condescending one.Â
âThat was great! Holy shit. It was just a smidge out. Wow.â You applaud him earnestly, and as much as he despises it, it makes him a little less bad about that missed shot.Â
âCan you leave me alone now?â He drives you away to fend off the stupid feeling. Heâd rather you just walk away and donât say anything. âNot like that serve mattered,â he mutters in annoyance.
âWhat are you talking about? It was awesome!â you yell out with your eyes shining with flagrant admiration, which annoyingly strokes his ego.Â
âJust a bit less and it would have been in a spot difficult to return,â you remark as you pat his shoulders approvingly before heeding his request to leave and go back to where Coach is.Â
âSorry, Coach. I distracted everyone else,â you scratch your head with an apologetic smile when you return.Â
âIâd tell you off, but everyone seems more motivated now, so good work I guess,â she commends you with a satisfactory tone.
âHe looks really pissed though,â Coach Mira adds as she glances at the blonde middle blocker.
âMore than you know, Coach,â you reply with a wide smile as he serves another ball and gets it in this time.Â
--
Prior to your meeting with Tsukishima today, you proposed to finish the project as soon as possible so you can both focus on other other uni subjects on top of training hours. He immediately agreed, which didnât surprise you because even though itâs not game season, youâre pretty sure he canât wait to stop having to see you.
The projectâs deadline is in three months, but you believe you can finish it in less than two if you meet up at least twice a week to work on it.
It should be okay, given that you both agreed to have a truce of some sort from the usual dynamic of your relationship. You actually think that itâs not going to work out smoothly, but you still suggested it with the hopes of decreasing his animosity towards you. Yes, itâs fun and amusing most of the time, but outside the gym where youâre just a classmate and not his manager, itâs kinda draining to deal with it.Â
âWonât your roommate mind if thereâs a stranger in your room?â he asks as he sits down and rummages through his bag.Â
âOh.â You thought he already figured it out because he didnât ask about it on his first visit. âDidnât I tell you before? I donât have a roommate.âÂ
His eyes immediately go to your bunk bed that you didnât bother getting replaced because itâs convenient when youâre too tired. You usually just mindlessly throw your stuff at the top bunk for a later clean-up.
âWanted the whole room to myself,â you add.
âSpoiled, little rich brat, arenât you?â He really doesnât have much basis for his statement. He just wants to say something nasty and sneer at you because he wants to get back at how you called him out during training the other day.
When he meets your gaze, you raise an eyebrow at him, reminding him about your agreement while working on the project. He purses his lips to the side and returns to his passive expression without saying anything. You roll your eyes in response.
âWell if being a scholar while working as your manager is being a spoiled rich brat, then by all means. Do consider me one,â you answer before looking back on your screen.Â
He would have never thought you were a university scholar. You donât look like the type. Youâre way too carefree and all over the place. He wouldâve thought it was a joke, if not for the tiny offended glint he caught when he said youâre a spoiled brat.
Thatâs exactly the reaction he wants to get from you, yet it didnât feel satisfactory. On the contrary, itâs making him feel like a prick. He is being one, but he doesnât expect to feel like one, especially towards you who does nothing but get on his skin.Â
Still, hell would freeze over before he apologizes. Instead, he prods on the topic.
âWhy would you even work as a manager if youâre already a scholar?â
It doesnât make sense to him. You donât need the work if your university fees are already waived. It will just pile on to the academic requirements you will need to maintain.Â
Your hand stops scrolling on your mouse as your eyes soften, still remaining on your laptop. âCause I love it,â you utter like itâs the simplest thing in the world.
The look in your eyes is instantly replaced by mockery when you lift them to meet his.Â
âSomeoneâs being inquisitive today.â
He gets his headphones out and plugs it to his laptop. He really is curious why you chose you to be their manager, but you just had to be an obnoxious bitch and break the agreement you offered to him just the other day.Â
He knows youâre too much of a chaos to actually pull it off, so instead of wasting his energy by being irritated by you for the day, heâd rather pretend youâre not there.
âIâm sorry! Iâm sorry!â you say loudly with a wide smile, yet he can see the sincerity of the apology through the slight panic in your orbs. You must have realized heâs had enough of your shit. âMy bad. Old habits hard.â You laugh nervously.Â
You speak again when he puts down his headphones on the table. âI may have quit the sport, but I still love it. I love taking care of players like you guys who have the same passion for it.â
âDoesnât seem like itâs worth it,â he comments with unheld honesty. You could have a lot of time off of your hands if you quit being their manager. You donât even need the job.
You plant your hands on the floor and lean back as your gaze drifts to the photos of the team displayed on your desk.
âYou might be right. A marine science student dedicating her time on sports even though sheâs not an athlete? It does sound impractical. But,â you revert your eyes back to him as you continue on, âit makes me happy. That alone makes it worth it. Even if I donât get paid, Iâd still do it.â
Your face glows with pride and joy with your last statement, completely undeterred by his earlier cynicism. If anything, you look even more convinced that youâre doing the right thing.Â
He canât tell if he finds it admirable or disturbing. Probably the latter.
âThereâs more to life than just sleep, study, and survive, donât you think?âÂ
It was a rhetorical question that he wouldâve still refuted if someone told him that years ago. Back in his freshman year in high school, he thought overzealous passion was stupid. Unless an individual is some sort of prodigy, it wouldnât get them anywhere even if they keep trying to death.
Still, he put in a lot of work -- more than he should -- when he was playing in Karasuno. What was just a club became entirely something else for him, which, up until now, he still hasnât put quite a finger on.Â
When he graduated from Karasuno, he wasnât sure what to do. He wanted to continue playing, but there was a nagging feeling behind his head that he shouldnât. He thought that that part of his life was already over and while it was good while it lasted, it was time to move one.Â
Yet, when he was handed out an application form for the universityâs college team, he found himself grabbing the sheet of paper.Â
He didnât have any reason to pursue it beyond high school. He knows heâs good, but heâs not that good. He was at university already. It was time to focus on his future and ignore the itch to hold the ball with five other players on his side of the court.
Whatâs even more absurd was the next day, he submitted the application form and tried out for the team. He said to himself it wouldnât hurt to go on playing until he has finally had enough. Heâd just ride it out until he got tired of it.Â
In his sophomore year, he was scouted by Sendai Frogs and thatâs when he knew that the unreasonable passion he has for volleyball is not going to go away. Even now in his graduating semester, heâs still not ready to give it up.
He wonât admit it in your face, but, in a way, he can agree with what you just said. Life is more than just getting by and surviving. Thatâs the only reason he can think of to justify his choice to continue volleyball: so that he wouldnât have this constant dissonance that pursuing the sport is a vacuous path heâs treading on.Â
âAnyways, back to work now, yeah?â
You smile briefly at him and return to the research youâre tasked to do. He puts his headphones back in his bag and gets back to his own task as well.
He thought all is well and you wonât pester him until you both finish what youâre supposed to accomplish for the day. Unfortunately, he thought wrong.Â
You suddenly close your laptop and start whining.Â
âTsukki.â
As usual, he does his best to not acknowledge your existence.Â
âTsukkiii, â you whine louder.Â
For the love of God, you sound the most annoying when you use his nickname. Even though youâve used it several times now, heâs still not used to it. In fact, he does not believe he will ever get used to it. Shimizu and Yachi not even once called him that, and they were more respectable managers than you are. Sort of. It doesnât matter that youâre more active and hands on when managing the team.
âTsuuuk -â
âWhat?!â You successfully manage to get his eyes off the screen.
âIâm bored,â you pout.Â
He glares at you unbelievably. What are you, a five-year-old?Â
âAnd that is my problem, how?â he asks with disdain.Â
âArenât you getting tired?â you ask back, unfazed by his blatant irritation. But then again, you never are.Â
He is getting tired too, but heâd rather drag his brains and eyes out than rest and extend the time heâs going to spend with you.Â
âLetâs take a break, please, â you cry out with pleading eyes.Â
âI donât care what you do. Just leave me out of it.â He puts his attention back on his laptop and looks for the journal article he found significant among the other tabs he opened.Â
âIâll feel guilty if I see you still at it while I goof around,â you admit.Â
He really couldnât care any less. None of what youâre blabbering about is any of his concern. If you keep at it, heâll just take out his headphones again to drown out your childish whining.Â
âI know!â You suddenly perk up. âLetâs review for our quiz,â you suggest eagerly. âWe have one tomorrow, right?â
He almost smirks at your suggestion, but he manages to suppress it. Heâd rather not let you see that heâs pleasantly amused with your suggestion.Â
He didnât expect that that was your idea of taking a break. He thought you were going to propose something completely absurd like watch stupid videos online because thatâs something he could totally see you doing on your free time.Â
But yeah, he can definitely use a review. It would be a productive break from the strenuous researching and writing you two have been doing.Â
Even though he still hasnât verbally agreed, you continue on. âTo make it interesting, thereâs a penalty for every wrong answer.â
He sits up straight, pushing his glasses closer to his face as you successfully gain his full attention. âWhat penalty?â
Your smile widens when you realize that heâs finally acknowledging your idea of taking a break.Â
âOkay, okay.â You rub your hands together in excitement before you clasp them together. âFor every wrong answer you get, you need to say something nice about me. And of course vice versa.â
He scowls at the idea. âI prefer the opposite. Get the answer wrong and you get insulted. That sounds more of a punishment.â
You shake your head with your lips pressed into a thin line from disapproval. âNope. If I get even one wrong answer. Iâm sure youâll get into a litany of rude shit you piled up against me over the years. And Iâll just sit here uncaringly receiving your fury. Does that excite you?â
Hell no. It will infuriate him even more if he throws something at you and you just take it apathetically. But he still doesnât agree with your initial mechanics. Itâs not fair to him.
âNo, it doesnât. But the consequence of a wrong answer is too easy for you.â
You place a palm on your chest and gape at him. âMe? Too easy for me ?âÂ
You break into a boisterous laugh while still maintaining eye contact with him. He just stares back at you stupefied with no idea what you found so hilarious.
âTsukishima,â you say after recovering from your disparaging hoots of laughter. âI can think of literally one nice thing about you. Maybe two if I tried hard enough,â you explain with your face still crinkled with the laughter youâre trying hard to contain.Â
If youâre trying to provok him to take on your challenge, you definitely succeeding. âFine,â he hisses.Â
Your laughter is completely thwarted when your eyes widen with delight as he succumbs to your plan.Â
âGreat! Okay, two more rules. One, objective questions only. Two, we canât say anything that involves Volleyball. For example, you canât tell me that Iâm a great manager, because Iâm very much aware of that already, okay?â
His frown only deepens from your conceitedness, only to realize that thatâs the only aspect of you heâd consider complimenting you about.Â
âBut there is nothing else nice about you other than that,â he says without any trace of sarcasm or ridicule, only stating what he considers the truth.Â
But you donât take any offense in his statement. Youâre expecting as much. Thatâs why you added two more rules to push the both of you to take the review seriously.
âBetter not get anything wrong then,â you counter easily because itâs as simple as that. Itâs a review just for a quiz after all. He shouldnât be that worried.
âThirty minutes to review. Then letâs start the quiz?â
You take that heâs fine with it since he closes his laptop and gets his set of notes from his bag.
You get your phone and set a thirty minute timer. You do just as he does and focus on your own notes, skimming over the last two chapters covered during lectures. You concentrate on your learning materials but the alarm sets off after what seemed like ten minutes to you.
You frantically check your phone to see if you put the wrong time, but you didnât. Thirty minute have indeed passed.Â
When you glance at Tsukishima, heâs already looking at you with crossed arms and a self-satisfied smirk. He must have finished before the timer went off. He wouldnât have that smug expression if not.Â
Even though you havenât fully gone over the last parts of the lesson covered, you canât help but be enlivened at how competitive he is. He must really hate losing.Â
You notice it too with the way he plays volleyball. He might look calm on the surface, but you know he wants to crush his opponents. And right now, that opponent is you.Â
His muted excitement affects you. Even though youâre not totally prepared, youâre confident with your own wits.Â
âLadies first, so go ahead, Tsukishima.â
He clicks his tongue, his usual habit when heâs irked with something, but this one was forced to make it appear as if he didnât like what you said. But you can tell that he doesnât give a shit about that and he actually canât wait to ask away just to so you can get it wrong.
Unfortunately for him though, you two are just exchanging questions when your mini game starts. He answers your questions without hesitation and you do just the same since most of his questions are in your own list thatâs supposed to be for him.
âWhatâs the movable membrane found on the eyes of amphibians?â Itâs his sixth question that has you racking your brain for the correct answer. When you donât respond immediately, he sniggers like heâs already won.Â
But you do know the answer, or at least the first letter of it. It's the letter N. N-something membrane.
âNictaling membrane,â you answer unsurely.Â
The spread of his wicked smile immediately tells you youâre wrong. âItâs nictating,â he corrects you.Â
âOh come on! Iâm just one letter off,â you strongly reason out.
âYeah, and that would still be marked wrong in the actual quiz,â he refutes.
Damn it. Heâs right. That one letter makes a whole lot of difference your professor will definitely not let go.
He places one elbow on the table and rests his chin at the back of his hand, keeping his eyes trained on you as he silently anticipates for you to pay the price of your penalty.
You bite your lip disquietly when you realize the rule you set was a double-edged sword for you canât also think of anything nice to say about him. Thereâs that terrible attitude of his which is usually your source of fun, but not exactly something you can call nice.Â
You have something in your mind, but your pride wonât let you voice it out.Â
He starts tapping the table with his fingers. âYouâre wasting both our time, y/n.â
You accept your defeat and tell him anyway. âFine. I think youâre smarter than me,â you confess.Â
You expect him to agree unanimously, but instead he looks at you stupefied, blinking a few times without saying anything.Â
âBut youâre a scholar,â he remarks. Youâre not sure if he just disagreed with you or heâs just putting that fact out in the open.Â
âWell, yeah. But Iâm just really good at studying and have good time management. Youâre actually smart. Youâre critical with stuff,â you explain.Â
You cheated a bit with your answer since most of your basis is from volleyball games. Although your trip last time is also proof of that. He provided really good input on how you should go about with the project.Â
âOkay! Moving on,â you proceed before he can comment further on what you just said and milk it to his benefit.
You ask another question, which he also knows that correct answer to. Originally, you just wanted a fun but effective way of reviewing, but now you kind of want him to get at least one question wrong so you can get even.Â
âWhat do you call the structure the lower vertebrae of anurans is fused into?â he asks another difficult question.Â
You rub your palms on your face, your frustration clouding your mind from recalling what it could possibly be. You push your hair back and sigh when you realize that youâre not getting this one either.Â
âI donât know,â you surrender.Â
His current expression is the most lively one youâve ever seen from him outside volleyball games, but it isn't a pleasant one. He looks like a villain whose evil master plan is coming to fruition.Â
Maybe you shouldâve just agreed with his earlier suggestion to get insulted when you get it incorrectly. You wouldâve just sit it out and brush it off afterwards, not make your brain hurt even more from thinking about non-existent good traits from the guy across your table.Â
You look around as you desperately try to think of something remotely nice about him.
âOh,â your eyes meet his right the moment you recall that instance, and form a genuine smile as you remember it once more.Â
âIt was real nice of you to let me lean on you on the way back to Miyagi last week.â
He removes his elbow from the table and fixes his posture, losing the lax and confident aura he had two questions ago.Â
âYou would have woken up face down on the bus floor if I didnât,â he says defensively as if what he did needs that explanation for it to be acceptable.Â
You honestly thought heâd rather let you fall flat on the floor. Youâre about to ask him back then if he was sure, but you just accepted his angry, yet generous offer which you didnât expect to come from him.
âI know. I just didnât think youâd let me rest on your shoulder, so thanks,â you say earnestly, not a trace of your usual cheekiness present.Â
âIt felt nice and comfortableâ you add reservedly. Youâve been wanting to thank him but you didnât know how to bring it up without being awkward for youâre only used to dealing with grouchy Tsukishima.
Itâs only then you realize that despite his palpable dislike towards you, heâs not a complete asshole and still cared enough for your welfare that time.
He remains expressionless with his eyes drifting down to his notes, avoiding your gaze as he does so. âThe answer is coccyx, also called urostyle,â he ushers back to the question you got wrong, dismissing what you just divulged, which youâre thankful for because you feel like fidgeting with what just dawned on you.
âMy turn again then!â you said too loudly as you try to shake off the feeling and put your focus back on the review.
You read the only item left in your list, still hoping that he gets it wrong since this is the last.Â
âWhat part of the amphibian nervous system regulates heart and respiratory rates?â
Unlike previous questions, he doesnât answer off the bat this time.
âYouâre wasting both our time, Tsukishima,â you repeat what he said to you earlier even though it's only been seconds after you uttered your question.Â
âDonât get ahead of yourself. I know the answer,â he declares with reassured confidence. âItâs the cerebrum.â
You decide to hold his gaze for two second before you burst his bubble. âFucking finally!â you rejoice in his defeat.Â
âClose enough, Tsukishima. Itâs the cerebellum,â you announce all too cheerfully.
He hurriedly gets his notes and cross checks if youâre actually telling the truth. You just watch him scramble with a very pleased smile on your face as he goes rigid.Â
âFuck,â he mutters to himself. He must have seen that you were telling the truth.
You start squirming in your seat. Oh man, youâre way too excited to hear what he has to say about you. You want to egg him on, to tell him to hurry up but that might affect what heâs going to say so you force yourself to shut up.Â
He raises his gaze at you while you make sure youâre not smiling too wide to annoy him even though youâre reeling from anticipation.Â
He still doesnât say anything, but you know heâs thinking based on the way heâs studying your face.Â
âYou have a slightly above average face.â
You run that by again in your head, not understanding what he meant by it at first.Â
Above average face? Did he just say youâre pretty if translated from a socially incapacitated personâs language? Is that why he was staring so hard at you?
Of all the things he could choose to say something about, he decides to compliment your appearance? You know that you're a bit good-looking, but you donât think he notices it. He doesnât seem to be the type to care about that stuff.
Even when you first met, he just looked at you with a vacant expression and greeted you blandly out of courtesy while the rest of the team ogled at you. His apathetic eyes eventually turned scornful over time because of how often you pick on him, and despite that, he does acknowledge that you are pretty.
Youâre used to being showered with admiration because of your face so youâve developed a natural response to it: a gleeful smile with a spritely âaww, thanks!â
But with Tsukishima, it doesnât kick in. Instead, you avert your gaze away from the unwanted fluttering in your chest. You canât even look him in the eye as you try to collect yourself and think how youâll respond to that without looking flustered.Â
What the heck is wrong with you? That could hardly be called a compliment. Now that you think about it, it actually sounded sort of like a product review with its lack of any fondness.Â
With that in mind, you manage to regain some of your composure and offer him a faint. âUm, thanks.â Â
Tsukishima looks at his two remaining questions he listed and even though heâs winning the game, he doesnât feel victorious at all. Your confessions did nothing to make him feel good about himself. They were too sincere that they made him uneasy.
He also doesnât like that he had to admit youâre pretty. He expected youâre gonna make a fuss about it. He actually wouldâve preferred that than you being uncharacteristically embarrassed about it.
Something weird is definitely going on. Youâre not acting like yourself and neither is he. There had been too many opportunities to badger you, but he just let them pass by. Same with you. You could have easily teased him about letting you know he finds you attractive.
âIâm out of questions,â he lies to end the damn review.Â
âMe too, actually,â you say with an apprehensive laugh.
So itâs not just him. You also feel the change in the atmosphere between you two. Your smile is uncertain and you look like you don't know what to do to remedy the situation -- that is, if you even know whatâs wrong with it because he sure as hell doesnât.Â
But even if he has no idea whatâs going on, fortunately, he knows how to end it.
âIâm tired. Iâm calling it a day,â he says as he starts packing up his stuff.Â
You seem to agree since you donât say anything and just watch him collect his things. You only react when he stands up.Â
âOh yeah. Sure!â You stand up as well.
âI can see my way out on my own,â he stops you when you start to head for the door. Â
You freeze on the spot then nod timidly. âOkay.â
As soon as he steps out and closes the door, you plop yourself back to where you were sitting. You grasp the edges of your table as you softly bang your head against it, gasping a heavy breath of relief when the air becomes undoubtedly lighter after he is gone.
âWhat the fuck was that?â you mumble with your cheek against the wooden surface.Â

JACOBIN FICTION CONVENTION MEETING 1: La Seine no Hoshi (1975)
1. Introduction
Well, dear reader, here it is. My first ever official review. And, as promised, this is one of the pieces of Frev media that you have likely never heard of before.
So, without further ado, sit down, relax, grab drinks and snacks and allow me to tell you about an anime called âLa Seine no Hoshiâ (The Star of the Seine).
âLa Seine no Hoshiâ is a childrenâs anime series made by Studio Sunrise. It consists of 39 episodes and was originally broadcast in Japan from April 4th to December 26th of 1975.
Unlike its more famous contemporary, a manga called âRose of Versaillesâ that had begun being released in 1972 and is considered a classic to this day, âLa Seine no Hoshiâ has stayed relatively obscure both in the world of anime and among other Frev pop culture.
Personally, the only reason why I found out about its existence was the fact that I actively seek out everything Frev-related and I just happened to stumble upon the title on an anime forum several years ago.
So far, the anime has been dubbed into Italian, French, German and Korean but there is no English or even Spanish dub so, unfortunately, people who do not speak fluent Japanese or any other aforementioned language are out of luck ( if anyone decides to make a fandub of the series, call me). That being said, the series is readily available in dubs and the original version on YouTube, which is where I ended up watching it. The French dub calls the anime âLa Tulipe Noireâ (The Black Tulip), which could be an homage to the movie with the same name that takes place in the same time period.
Unfortunately, while I do speak Japanese well enough to maintain a basic conversation and interact with people in casual daily situations, Iâm far from fluent in the language so the version I watched was the French dub, seeing as I am majoring in French.
So, with all of this info in mind, letâs find out what the story is about and proceed to the actual review.
2. The Summary
(Note: Names of the characters in the French dub and the original version differ so I will use names from the former since thatâs what I watched)
The story of âLa Seine no Hoshiâ revolves around a 15-year old girl called Mathilde Pasquier - a daughter of two Parisian florists who helps her parents run their flower shop and has a generally happy life.
But things begin to change when Comte de Vaudreuil, an elderly Parisian noble to whom Mathilde delivers flowers in the second episode, takes her under his wing and starts teaching her fencing for an unknown reason and generally seems to know more about her than he lets on.
Little does Mathilde know, those fencing lessons will end up coming in handy sooner than she expected. When her parents are killed by corrupt nobles, the girl teams up with Comte de Vaudreuilâs son, François, to fight against corruption as heroes of the people, all while the revolution keeps drawing near day by day and tensions in the city are at an all time high.
This is the gist of the story, dear readers, so with that out of the way, hereâs the actual review:
3. The Story
Honestly, I kind of like the plot. It has a certain charm to it, like an old swashbuckling novel, of which Iâve read a lot as a kid.
The narrative of a âhero of the common folkâ has been a staple in literature for centuries so some might consider the premise to be unoriginal, but I personally like this narrative more than âchampion of the richâ (Looking at you, Scarlet Pimpernel) because, historically, it really was a difficult time for commoners and when times are hard people tend to need such heroes the most.
People need hope, so itâs no surprise that Mathilde and François (who already moonlights as a folk hero, The Black Tulip) become living legends thanks to their escapades.
Interestingly enough, the series also subverts a common trope of a hero seeking revenge for the death of his family. Mathilde is deeply affected by the death of her parents but she doesnât actively seek revenge. Instead, this tragedy makes the fight and the upcoming revolution a personal matter to her and motivates her to fight corruption because she is not the only person who ended up on its receiving end.
The pacing is generally pretty good but I do wish there were less filler episodes and more of the overarching story thatâs dedicated to the secret that Comte de Vaudreuil and Mathildeâs parents seem to be hiding from her and maybe it would be better if the secret in question was revealed to the audience a bit later than episode 7 or so.
However, revealing the twist early on is still an interesting narrative choice because then the main question is not what the secret itself is but rather when and how Mathilde will find out and how she will react, not to mention how it will affect the story.
That being said, even the filler episodes do drive home the point that a hero like Mathilde is needed, that nobles are generally corrupt and that something needs to change. Plus, those episodes were still enjoyable and entertaining enough for me to keep watching, which is good because usually I donât like filler episodes much and itâs pretty easy to make them too boring.
Unfortunately, the show is affected by the common trope of the characters not growing up but I donât usually mind that much. It also has the clichĂ© of heroes being unrecognizable in costumes and masks, but thatâs a bit of a staple in the superhero stories even today so itâs not that bothersome.
4. The Characters
It was admittedly pretty rare for a childrenâs show to have characters who were fleshed out enough to seem realistic and flawed, but I think this series gives its characters more development than most shows for kids did at the time.
I especially like Mathilde as a character. Sure, at first glance she seems like a typical Nice Pretty Ordinary Girl âąïž but that was a part of the appeal for me.
I am a strong believer in that a character does not need to be a blank slate or a troubled jerk to be interesting and Mathilde is neither of the above. She is essentially an ordinary girl with her own life, family, friends, personality and dreams and, unfortunately, all of that is taken away from her when her parents are killed.
Her initial reluctance to participate in the revolution is also pretty realistic as she is still trying to live her own life in peace and she made a promise to her parents to stay safe so thereâs that too.
I really like the fact that the show did not give her magic powers and that she was not immediately good at fencing. François does remark that her fencing is not bad for a beginner but in those same episodes she is clearly shown making mistakes and it takes her time to upgrade from essentially Françoisâs assistant in the heroic shenanigans to a teammate he can rely on and sees as an equal. Heck, later thereâs a moment when Mathilde saves François, which is a nice tidbit of her development.
Mathilde also doesnât have any romantic subplots, which is really rare for a female lead.
She has a childhood friend, Florent, but the two are not close romantically and they even begin to drift apart somewhat once Florent becomes invested in the revolution. François de Vaudreuil does not qualify for a love interest either - his father does take Mathilde in and adopts her after her parents are killed so François is more of an older brother than anything else.
Now, Iâm not saying that romance is necessarily a bad thing but I do think that not having them is refreshing than shoehorning a romance into a story thatâs not even about it. Plus most kids donât care that much for romance to begin with so Iâd say that the show only benefits from the creative decision of not setting Mathilde up with anyone.
Another interesting narrative choice Iâd like to point out is the nearly complete absence of historical characters, like the revolutionaries. They do not make an appearance at all, save for Saint-Justâs cameo in one of the last episodes and, fortunately, he doesnât get demonized. Instead, the revolutionary ideas are represented by Florent, who even joins the Jacobin Club during the story and is the one who tries to get Mathilde to become a revolutionary. Other real people, like young Napoleon and Mozart, do appear but they are also cameo characters, which does not count.
Marie-Antoinette and Louis XVI are exceptions to the rule.
(Spoiler alert!)
Marie-Antoinette is portrayed as kind of spoiled and out of touch. Her spending habits get touched on too but she is not a malicious person at heart. She is simply flawed. She becomes especially important to the story later on when Mathilde finds out the secret that has been hidden from her for her entire life.
As it turns out, Marie- Antoinette, the same queen Mathilde hated so much, is the girlâs older half-sister and Mathilde is an illegitimate daughter of the Austrian king and an opera singer, given to a childless couple of florists to be raised in secret so that her identity can be protected.
The way Marie-Antoinette and Mathilde are related and their further interactions end up providing an interesting inner conflict for Mathilde as now she needs to reconcile this relationship with her sister and her hatred for the corruption filling Versailles.
The characters are not actively glorified or demonized for the most part and each side has a fair share of sympathetic characters but the anime doesnât shy away from showing the dark sides of the revolution either, unlike some other shows that tackle history (*cough* Libertyâs Kids comes to mind *cough*).
All in all, pretty interesting characters and the way they develop is quite realistic too, even if they couldâve been more fleshed out in my opinion.
5. The Voice Acting
Pretty solid. No real complaints here. Iâd say that the dub actors did a good job.
6. The Setting
I really like the pastel and simple color scheme of Paris and its contrast with the brighter palette of Versailles. It really drives home the contrast between these two worlds.
The character designs are pretty realistic, simple and pleasant to watch. No eyesores like neon colors and overly cutesy anime girls with giant tiddies here and thatâs a big plus in my book.
7. The Conclusion
Like I said, the show is not available in English and those who are able to watch it might find it a bit clichĂ© but, while itâs definitely not perfect. I actually quite like it for its interesting concept, fairly realistic characters and a complex view of the French Revolution. I can definitely recommend this show, if only to see what itâs all about.
Some people might find this show too childish and idealistic, but Iâm not one of them.
Iâm almost 21 but I still enjoy cartoons and Iâm fairly idealistic because cynicism and nihilism do not equal maturity and, if not for the âsillyâ idealism, Frev itself wouldnât happen so I think shows like that are necessary too, even if itâs just for escapism.
If youâre interested and want to check it out, more power to you.
Anyway, thank you for attending the first ever official meeting of the Jacobin Fiction Convention. Second meeting is coming soon so stay tuned for updates.
Have a good day, Citizens! I love you!

Maybe korekiyo đ„ș heâs a big comfort character of mine. Also your writing makes me so happy and make sure to not push yourself đ
//omg!! thank you so much, youâre so sweet!! korekiyo coming up!!
----------------------------------------
Korekiyo Shinguji Fluff Alphabet
A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
Korekiyo isnât a people person, rather heâd prefer to watch and observe them. Going out to diners or to the park to people watch is what heâd likes to do during his free time. Heâd love to have you by his side while he talks about old traditions, or what he thinks about different cultures.Â
B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
When he says he loves everything about you, he absolutely means it. He finds you just as beautiful as humanity itself, he canât help to compliment you every time he sees you.
C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
âHow could someone as beautiful as you, have so much sorrow?â He would say, pulling you into his chest. He resolves your discomfort with compliments, and they usually work. Wiping your tears with his thumbs, heâd compliment you to no tomorrow. âYouâre more beautiful when youâre smiling, darling.â
D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
He wants to get married and have a child with you. He finds families so beautiful, and he wants one for himself. He wants a very, very traditional life with you.
E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
Very dominant in the relationship. He plans all the dates, gives you all the gifts and love. He doesnât expect any of it back, but heâs delighted to receive it as well! Heâs open minded as well, so heâll listen to your ideas for dates.
F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
Korekiyo is aloof most of the time, so sometimes he can be hard to approach. Sometimes heâll ignore you for his studies or work, which can hurt your feelings. Heâd notice youâre upset, but heâll leave you alone for the time being. After awhile, heâll come by and sit next to you and start apologizing to you. He truly doesnât mean to ignore you, but he canât help it sometimes when heâs reading something interesting. Whenever you make him upset, heâll make it known that heâs upset to you. When you apologize, heâs easily forgiving, knowing that even the most perfect human such as yourself, makes mistakes.
G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
Extremely grateful. Youâve helped him healthily cope with his past, and heâs scarily aware of all of it. Heâd thank you relentlessly, giving you more and more flowers, chocolates, gifts, just to show his gratitude.Â
H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
The most secrets heâs ever kept from you, is his past. Other than that, heâs pretty open with you. With time, he would start to open up more and more to you. Korekiyo is the master at secrets, so your word will always be safe with him.
I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
Youâve definitely helped him with his past, and heâll forever be grateful for you. He began to be more open with you and his friends, being able to be in control of himself, and being able to start wearing his mask less and less around you.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
No one dares to even start to flirt with you, Korekiyo is always by your side in public. He may be slim, but heâs tall and gave off an unsettling vibe. If anyone ever decided to take the risk, his main goal is to scare him away with his gaze alone. Once youâre back home with him, he wouldnât bring it up. He trusts you, but he gets pretty silently jealous. Youâd have to call him out on it, and he would just chuckle and tell you not to worry about it too much.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Heâs not the best at kissing, since he always has his mask over his lips, but he likes being kissed! Heâs tall, so you would have to settle with his shoulder or hands. On the very rare, intimate occasions, heâll pull down his mask to kiss your lips lightly, leaving a slight lipstick smudge.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
When Korekiyo loves someone, he will let them know. Heâd observe first, to see if you return his feelings, which wouldnât take long. Once heâs positive you will accept him, heâll take his bandaged hands into yours as he confesses his feelings to you. When you accept, you can see his eyes scrunch slightly from smiling as he pulls you into a hug.
M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
Yes!! He wants to have a very traditional wedding, as he finds it so beautiful. Heâd invite his friends, since he doesnât have the greatest relationship with his family. But your family is his family too! So heâs not complaining. He would love it to be as traditional as possible, possibly Japanese tradition. But if you want some other tradition, he wouldnât complain either.
N icknames - What do they call their s/o?
âMy beautiful human,â or, âdarling.â Anything more formal will do as well. He loves calling you beautiful, since you absolutely deserve to hear it all the time.
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
On the rare moments, heâd fully remove his mask to pepper your face in kisses, leaving nothing untouched. Heâd whisper in your ear on how beautiful you are, and how much he loves you. Donât plan on leaving anytime soon, heâll be gripping onto you for hours.
P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
Heâd prefer to keep affection behind closed doors, but he wouldnât mind giving you masked kisses to your forehead and hand. He does gloat slightly, telling his friends on how beautiful you are, and how lucky he is to have such an amazing S/O.
Q uirk - Some random ability they have thatâs beneficial in a relationship.
Korekiyo is extremely patient with you, so feel free to say your problems with him. He thinks logically, so giving advice would be a great perk with him! Heâs also open minded with your interests, as he has a few strange interests himself.
R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
Very cliche. Heâd give you flowers that have specific meanings, homemade chocolate, traditional dates, the whole shebang. He has no shame at his cheesiness, and he sees no reason for you to be either. Sometimes heâll surprise you with a small gift every once and awhile, usually a small sculpture, which he proceeds to tell you the entire history behind it.
S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
Absolutely, though he would less help you, and more observe you try to achieve them. Seeing you so determined makes you look so beautiful and he canât help to watch.
T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
Not a thrill seeker at all, though he would like to take you on a bunch of dates. He loves taking you on different kind of dates that are common in other cultures, but heâd prefer to have more secluded dates with you.
U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
Korekiyo has a hard time with his own emotions, so he wouldnât be as empathetic as he would like to be. Knowing you, however, he can detect the smallest change in your mood. Heâs extremely observant, so he would sit you down and let you talk about your feelings whenever you need to.
V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is itâs worth in comparison to other things in their life?
More than humanity itself. Youâre his beautiful human, and heâll keep you safe in his warm grasp. Of course, he cared about other things, but youâll alwyas be his number one.
W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Every now and again, once you two have free time together, heâd sit you down on the bed and start complimenting every part of you. He makes sure none of you is left unloved. Itâs the rare moment where he would pull down his mask to kiss your hands and arms.Â
X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
Heâs not the best at receiving affection, but he loves giving it! Kiyo would pepper your face in small, masked kisses as he holds you in his lanky arms. Though, heâd get pretty awkward when you give him your own kisses, but he wouldnât complain.
Y earning - How will they cope when theyâre missing their partner?
Heâd bury himself in his book and work. Heâs not too good at coping with missing you, so heâd do his best to distract himself. Once you come back, heâd silently slink over to you, wrapping his long arms around your waist as he presses his masked lips to your temple, telling you how much he missed you.
Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
Heâll do anything for you. He loves you with his entire being, so heâll do everything to make you happy.
