my writing sin is that i want to insert funny background events into every scene because my brain interprets imagined visuals into words, so written scenes end up cluttered or hanging too long on pointless/inconsequential interactions that would have been an out-of-focus background event while the main plot happens in the foreground had it been in a visual format

A thought that is more Vibe than story at this point that I've been rotating in the old mental rock-tumbler is a post-climate-apocalypse A Knight's Tale/Baz Luhrmann's Romeo+Juliet take on a western, maybe with a dash of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys for flavour. Bon Jovi's 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' is on the soundtrack. Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' has turned into a diegetic trail ballad which is sung around a campfire along with 'Oh Shenandoah'. The whole thing runs on Rube Goldberged contraptions based on solar panels and batteries stripped out of electric vehicles, but the Vibe is 1870s. There are occasionally motorcycles instead of horses.

no because it would have been so easy for arcane to take jinx and portray her as just quirky or edgy with mental illness as extra flavoring to increase that but she’s not.

surface level, she does have some of that ‘lol XD i’m so random’ style of humor written into her, but it’s so often contrasted directly against a moment of pain that you’d have to try very hard to ignore how often she’s using her own impulsive behavior to pull herself off of a spiraling thought pattern. and jinx’s worst episodes are fascinating, visually, but they are literally hard to watch, between the jumpcuts and the time loss and her hallucinations. it would be hard to glamorize her without ignoring everything that’s been shown to you about how stressful it all is.

When Toriel asked him to attend the meeting in her place for one night he thought it wouldn't be a big deal. Turns out Sans could not have been more wrong.

A bit of a short fic, there's a surprising lack of fics with this concept! Even still, I like the way the author exectues the idea! I loved reading comics similar to this fic when I was younger, so this threw me back a bit!

I enjoy the way the author writes the characters, & how they have them interact with each other!

I really like how the author includes some of the reactions from the unamed parents also at the meeting, having mentions of nods of agreement & cheering when Sans insults Helen's brownies!
