one more question,
has Dew ever gone through a rebellious teenage phase? and how did Alpha and Omega deal with it?
~⛰
Well, yes and no.
Dewdrop has always been somewhat rebellious in his nature, and by that i mean that he was never a fan of being told what to do. However this was indeed stronger during his adolescence, basically because he felt like he was treated like a baby by Omega and underestimated by Alpha, who seemed not to trust him no matter how strong he proved himself to be.
This ended up resulting in a generous number of fights between them, where Dew used to fled to the pond and remained at its bottom where none of the other Ghouls could reach him except for Mist, and she rarely meddle into their problems uninvited unless it started to get a little out of hand. So after two or three days of that, when things cooled down a bit, Alpha would wait on the surface of the pond with a snack —usually some salami slices— and throw rocks in the water to get Dew's attention, who would come out every time after five or ten minutes.
Even if both of them weren't big fans of emotional conversations and vulnerability, Alpha would push it a bit for good communication sake. After the two made their points of view clear and explain what bothered them, they would agree in trying to see eachothers sides and come back together to the Abbey to calm down a certain Quintessence Ghoul who was worrying himself nuts and just wanted both of his most beloved ones to be safe and get along.
You can call it rebellious phase, but it was mostly just Dew being a bit of reckless kid with two owl dads that just didn't wanted their son to get hurt so much as they did in their younger years and ended up being a little too over-protective of him.
(But he did had an emo phase.)

Pssst, can I ask u🫵 something?
Do you have any rec for skzfic? Since you're a good writer so I think you a good taste in fics
Omg hey! You can absolutely ask me this, sorry it took so long for me to get around to! SO I read most (all) of my fics on Ao3! I'm still getting used to Tumblr lmao I can try to curate some Tumblr fics but that would take me a hot minute But here are some good ones I have bookmarked, I think most, if not all, are smutty 18+, but I'll tag them nontheless: Not gunna lie, 99% of the fics I read have smut just cause of what I like, so
Multi-chap fics:
Close Your Eyes (... And Count To Seven) by MysteryBird (18+) Ot8 x reader Word Count: 117,144 Mafia AU where the reader hooks up with each member of the gang. HIGHLY SMUTTY, has some extreme kinks in it. Definitely a Dead Dove Do Not Eat on the tags. But my god it is so well written and has plot, idk how it doesn't have more attention.
Stray Gods by DollyStuart (18+) Poly!Ot8 x reader Word Count: 171,475 (WIP, not finished) All of the members are gods of different powers and the reader is their guide throughout godhood. Has some good smut!
Tangled by ThisPeachIsDirty (18+) Poly!Ot8 x reader Word Count: 199,549 Reader is a tour photographer for the group and all of them use her to relieve... tension in various ways.
Instinct by fizzydrink698 (18+) Bang Chan x reader Word Count: 53,405 ABO where the reader is an alpha and Chan is the omega, it is definitely one of my fav SKZ ABO fics
Friends with Benefits by starrgaziingg (18+) Lee Know x reader Word Count: 67,847 "Lee Minho is a legacy at your university. He received an honorary award when he graduated, got a position as a dancer in a company a week after receiving his diploma...and was renowned as the schools famous ice-cold fuckboy." SO good
What You Deserve by 2chopsticks2eyes (18+) This is another author that I devour any of their work Lee Know x reader Word Count: 67,284 "You meet your best friend's group from college and find yourself spending more and more time with Minho. Sexual tension ensues." I think I re-read this fic 10 times already One Shots:
Strike the match, burn me down till I'm nothing by lemonhopia (18+) Kim Seungmin x reader Word Count: 5,290 enemies to lovers (sort of) Seungmin is reader's childhood best friend's brother who has been nothing but a thorn in her side since they were little. He's tasked with picking you up from the airport for your best friend's wedding.
conflict, conceal, confess by fizzydrink698 (18+) TBH anything by this author is AMAZING. I stalk their page so often. Lee Know x reader Word Count: 18,239 "minho and reader have been academic rivals for nearly a decade. now they have to put aside their differences, call a truce and finally admit they're ridiculously attracted to each other."
The Duke and I by lordseok (18+) Hwang Hyunjin x reader Word Count: 32,289 Bridgerton AU "Wishing to be a successful writer in the regency period seemed next to impossible for the sole daughter of a dead earl. With arising pressures from your mother to tie the knot, you turn to your dearest friend, Hwang Hyunjin, Duke of Hastings and the most eligible, scandalous bachelor of the season, for assistance. When he suggests the insane of idea of marrying each other to help each other, you agree to the proposal, unaware of how much the duke can teach you of the wonders of matrimony." I. Ate. This. UP. It is SO WELL WRITTEN.

THE LINE FROM THE FIRST BORN SON?!?!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YAN HUSBAND KILLED READER AND TURN THEM INTO HUMAN?!?!
WHAT ARE YOU COOKING BACK THERE?!?!
I'M COOKING A BACKSTORY SIR! I WANNA POST IT BUT I JUST CAN'T WORD EVERYTHING RIGHT SIR! 🫡🫡🫡
that said, yes, our reader is a... uhhh... artificial. Just like husband. So we all know (probably not), actually no. I haven't posted an official timeline yet.
To keep it in a nutshell,
We have a husband, we have a reader. FUSIONNNNNNN!
They lived happily ever after until reader died.
Husband went crazy, made a deal with a mage and traveled across time and story books to kill all of reader's pieces/false vessels.
There are 2 marks, Dystopia and Utopia.
Some of the stories that were featured in dystopia would be Uphill Daisies (uploaded but halted due to lack of time, Yulian didn't make that much of appearance since it mostly revolves around reader and the guests), Ways of Dying and Living (no fix title, it's about Yulian preventing reader from dying but he failed nontheless)
If Yulian tries to live the happily ever after shit in Dystopia, he will fail horribly :)
The dice will be rolled and it'll only show death to reader. So after multiple rolls, Yulian decided to kill this reader and reform them.
The death during delivery was caused by how the body couldn't withstand making another consciousness for the child so reader's consciousness was passed to the child instead.
He thought he could save reader with this but oho lol no. As proven by how reader still died even after giving birth to these 2 children.
Basically, it's nothing surprising seeing him killing reader. He had killed us so many times, but in the very most peaceful way he could muster ^^
Things will never be right, not until he could reach the Utopia. That means he should fight the finale and time, Eleanor the Finale and *** (Reader) the Time [for a different fic].
Yulian- Adam the Genesis, fighting the finale? Nice.
Ps: Yulian is an artificial man, Alpha. Reader is an Alpha too. Some other casts are too.

im so tired of having to defend myself on both sides
like. ok. i'm queer right. bi, demigender, aro, etc. also you know a girl, demi or not. all the time i have to defend myself from american christians who via mistranslations and misinterpretations spread by horrible leaders for generations have been led into a cult-like hierarchy that tells them to hate me when hate for us isn't in their book or supposed to be in their ways.
i'm also "christian". i hesitate to use the full term because of how bad american christianity has gotten. but i believe in the same god nontheless. every day i feel i have to defend myself from queer people as well
like. i so get it. as i have just established american and european christianity has gotten so fucked up and literally off-script that i'm shocked we haven't gotten another 95 thesis and a completely new branch. it's awful horrible and people who believe in such ideas should not be in power. to the point where calling myself a christian feels wrong. at least in america.
i need ya'll to have some nuance.
firstly the understanding that those who hate queer people, non-white people in any form, women, whatever else. isn't even in the text they follow. people have misused it since it was written. preaching just the verse saying wives should care for their husbands and not the one right after saying husbands should love their wives. taking out verses referring to god's "womb." about adam might not even being a man, as in, more likely nonbinary, the verse about david getting an errection when hugging johnathan. changing verses about cleanliness into women and men not wearing the same cloths. changing verses about cultural codes and allowing a world where people have to resort to prositution into verses condemning homosexuality. [X]
like. you know the matrix. was written as a trans metaphor. then a bunch of alpha sigma grindset rich white boys took it and appropriated it, misinterpreted it, used it to boost themselves and hurt women. it's like that. those people don't make the matrix a bad movie, they just don't know it's a trans metaphor. and trans people who enjoy the matrix are like. normal and cool.
as you can see i am passionate about this. i have all this stuff memorized not only to defend my queerness but my christianity as im doing now.
there are queer christians. there are certainly poc christians as right now, south america and south africa have the highest christian populations, to the point where they're sending missionaries to america.
again i'm asking for some nuance. when i see posts basically saying "the christian god is dumb" or "satan was right actually" and blantent misinformation about what the bible says. like those kind of posts hurt my heart. my god made me queer and loves me for it, i believe in a kind god, most good christians do. i feel like other religions don't get this treatment and it's just to spiritually piss off your catholic parents.
speaking of, in doing so you seem to forget about other abrahamic religions.
i once saw a post criticizing something directly from the old testament, out of context of course. saying god was cruel and the belives were flawed and all this due to one verse. people tend to forget, or not know, that the "old testament" is the tenoch. slightly different book order, same writings.
christians, muslims, jewish people, worship the same god. different names for god, some god, same base. if you make jokes about christianty willy-nilly, you're going to accidentally hit someone else. and even if you don't, you may hurt someone still.
it doesn't hurt because i think it's "sacrilegious" or i think you're going to hell. it hurts because my community doesn't care. my community doesn't see the nuance in people and decided a specific religion is the enemy. a specific group of people is the enemy. ive been marked as the enemy
it's casual jokes to you, to me it's making fun of my god
listen, by all means make fun of the assholes. i make fun of them every day. millionaires who use privet jets than preach and love to overlook the many verses condemning the rich and saying rich people don't go to heaven. people saying that as a woman of god you shouldn't enjoy sex. weirdos online and irl that seem to think patorizing random people will get them to church. dumb white people. it's great. fuckn. mormons and jehovah's witness leaders who are straight up running a cult based on a thread of the original intention. and it's funny because they're the assholes.
but don't attack the base religion itself. understand that the religion isn't inherently harmful, certain branches, beliefs, misinterpretations, and leaders certainly are. but please be kind to the people who are normal
before you make a post saying you're gonna. i dont know 'kill the uncaring god' that you're hurting people like me, any abrahamic religion, anyone who believes in a god possibly. also that's basically my parent, it's like you're insulting my awesome mom to my face bc my older sibling sucks. like thats just mean to her for no reason.
i'm just. tired. im stuck in the middle and i hate that i have to make this post because like. this is my home and my people and im tired of seeing this shit from my peers and family. just. have nuance. care about people. don't just say shit about a religion if you don't know its true.
im tired.

Courting gifts and proposing
They courting process may vary depending on social status of the families, secondary genders involved and the level on which tradition is enforced but it also has few things that can't be skipped over. Courtship can last from 1 to 5 months, with courter and courted being often chaperoned (it's prevalent in aristocratic and wealthy families, common people are more lax with this). The pair will often exchange courting gifts and perform rituals that will bring the couple together . With courtship period ending , the pair will decide then if they want to go through betrothal and mate.
Courtship tokens :
Folded paper (Origami, zhezhi) - often is the first thing that a courter will gift even before formal courtship as a question ,,I feel something for you, do you feel the same?". If the reciever gives back a similliar paperfold back it is the sign that you can continue on with the affections. The paper used is heavily scented by the courter as a reminder and a keepsake. Popular shapes of the paper involve animals and flowers such as : mandarin ducks, swans , butterflies, doves, rose, lily, herons, Magnolias, Rabbits etc.
Combs - because of hair's smell-absorbing qualities, any hair related coutship gifts are always a good baseground and a popular choice. Combing one's hair is an intimate affair that only immediate family and a spouse will have priviledge to. Gifting a comb is a way to say ,, I wanna grow old with you"
Hair accesories - they vary from hairpins to guans, scented hair ties to hairclips, they are a flashy way to set claim on someone and a good test to whenever your tastes match with the courted.
Bracelet - omegas (especially high-ranking ones) wear wrist-covering bracelets for their scent glands. Single ones ofter wear simple styled bracelets, so gifting omega a lavish one may establish them as someone elses. It is a gift of utter seriousness of courted's feeling. Bracelets also can be given to beta's but it won't hold as serious meaning as omegas, but the beta will appreciate it nontheless ,who doesn't like jewelry amiright? If you are gifting bracelet to an alpha, remeber to keep it simple and slim, like a bangle :3
Collars - An official gift that has serious weight to it , equivalent to saying ,,proposal is just a matter of time" . Collar is a symbol of utter claiming that when gifted the omega will wear up until the end of courtship period and if they accept proposal- to the wedding date. Do not give the a collar if you are not completely serious about the matter. Presenting omega a collar and then not going throught with a proposal is a scandalous manner that rivals jilting!!
Nest supplies - a good, useful gift for an omega. Scented Pillows, blankets or plushies are good nesting companion , granted that they are made of easily washable materials. You litterally cannot go wrong with this gift. The softer the better!!
Food - A well meaning gift made from love. The courted will often make dishes by hand to show that they can provide and care for the courter. When dates are set in indoor places, food tends to be of less variety and being more filling , while date that take place in an outdoor space such as garden or a meadow ,then food tends to be more bite sized and varied for example dumplings, tarts, cakes, tea, sandwiches and fruitsticks.
Hankerchief - a scented hankierchief is often used gift by unmated omegas and female betas that alpha or male beta can always take out and take a whiff of. A classical gift of reciprocation of feelings.
Fans - usually depicting a piece of nature, poetry or historical events, fans are great gifts for summer heat. Fans are often made from wood and paper so it can also carry scent from the courter. A fan is a representation of person's personality so make sure that it matches the person recieving it!
Scent Perfume: A long distance gift suitable for any dynamics. To get them you need to go to a professional shop specializing in perfume making. The attendants will then carefully evaluate your scent and will best try to recreate it. They are a long lasting and easily portable.
Important ritual in courtship
Scent marking - a proccess when the pair exchange scents. It always starts small and with each month of courting the scent marking level goes further. In the beginning its only sniffing each others wrist, then evolves into rubbing eachothers wrists together, then it turns into intimate touches such as hugs or handholding and finally scenting eachothers neck. ( Note: in suburban and urban areas this step often is less regulated and strict. This high level of propriety and privacy remains often in high social clasess).
Proposing
Exchanging a bite on the wrist scent gland is often an action that cements betrothal. The mark is not permament and will fade after around 4 months. A bite on the wrist shows other people that you are taken and unavailable.

A Service to the King Ch. 17 (A SidLink Omegaverse Story)
Chapter 17: Consequences of Actions?
“I have to say I'm happy yet mad about this,” Zelda said as she and Sidon sat across from one another at Purah's dinner table. Link was nearby helping the scientist cook and showing her how to make it taste good...as well as not poison them.
Link was back to his old self with a smile on his face as he did something he loved and was near those he cared for the most.
And of course his new alpha.
“That was to be expected,” Sidon said carefully. “I'd rather have this anger than what is awaiting me at home...” Sidon rubbed his own neck where Link had bitten him with his small omega fangs. The bond was complete. He was truly and wholey Link's now. He no longer had a bond to the Zora queen who awaited them at home....with their unborn child.
Zelda pat his large hand with her own and nudged the tea pot in front of him.
“Drink up,” she urged. “You need all the relaxation you can get right now.”
They weren't sure what was to come back at the domain but it was time that they had to leave this little spot. Sidon had to return home and of course, Link with him.
Arrangements had to be made. Link had to move into the Domain but that also meant exposing what had been done.
Sidon took a sip of the tea and closed his eyes, pouring himself another cup from the pot. He did need it and he did need his fluids for the journey.
Thankfully Zelda would be accompanying Link on this trip to offer her services to help. She didn't approve of their relationship at all but she knew now what was best for her friend.
Maybe one day Sidon and her could become friends once this whole thing settled down. For now he knew she was only looking out for the best interest of the champion.
“My father is going to be furious,” Sidon said. His father was always so nice to him, always so open for wanting Sidon to be happy, but he also pushed that he had to be a good king to his domain now that he had taken over.
With what was mentally beaten into him by Muzu, he had to take a queen, produce and heir, protect and lead his people. He wasn't allowed to be selfish.
And yet now he was being the most selfish any king could be. He had mated an omega that was not zora, not royality, though he was sure his champion status held quite a bit, but had left his queen and child.
He would still care for them. Just Link was now part of this fmaily and he just hoped they would understand his need for happiness.
The kingdom still had their heir, still had their queen. Why couldn't Sidon be selfish now?
“Even if he is you need to choose what is best for the both of you right now,” she said. “You could even keep it a secret from the others for a while but it would be really hard with Yona now knowing what is going on...to a point.”
She knew she was no longer mated to the king but Zelda wasn't sure that she knew that he had been with Link this whole time.
Thinking back on everything the two men were not very good at hiding their feeilngs for one another or what they were doing behind closed doors.
No one was that ignorant.
“No more secrets,” Link said as he stepped closer with some bowls of food for everyone, his blue eyes shining sadness and a little bit of anger. “I'm so tired of all these secrets.”
Sidon rest his hand on Link's shoulder a bit, being careful not to put too much pressure on the still healing bite.
“No more secrets. I promise,” he said. “But we must come up with something.”
Link took his hand from his shoulder and kissed the king's knuckles slowly. Sidon was a little flustered by the action but smiled nontheless.
“Out in the open. That's where I want to be,” Link said. Sidon gave a nod of agreement.
“Out in the open. No more hiding.”
*
Link climbed on the back of Epona, making sure Zelda climbed on behind him and looked at his mate. He couldn't believe it. He was officially Sidon's mate.
But what did scare him was that he was going to be seperated from him. Again. It was only a short while. He was to go grab his things while Sidon settled things at the Domain until he had arrived. Link wanted him to come with him. He didn't want to get ill again.
Purah had made sure of that of course, giving Link a necklace with a small bottle on the end of it. Inside was some of the oils from Sidon's scent gland to help keep him from being sick while he was gone. It was a temporary solution but it would work for the time being.
The small town was surprised to see the princess of hyrule, champion of hyrule, as well as the king of the zoras in one place.
“Are you sure I can't come with you Sidon?” Link asked quietly so no one would overhear that wasn't their immedaite group. Despite wanting to be in the open, there was a line in which he would let people know of his own personal business. “I want to be there when you deliver the news.”
“I know my pearl, but you need to gather your things so that you may move in with me,” Sidon offered. Link smiled softly at that, feeling Sidon's hand take his own, covering his much smaller hand with the mass size of Sidon's. “Don't you wish to move in with me?”
“Of course I do,” Link said. He'd keep his home. Keep it as a vacation spot of course and if Zelda wanted to use that one as well.
“Then I suggest you use that pad of yours and get moving. You know where to find me. It will be what, all but a day? Depends on how long it takes to pack.”
Link smiled a bit as his alpha tucked some blonde hair away from his face and then leaned down. Link leaned in, kissing him slowly and let out a breath as their lips connected again.
The murmus in the crowd grew astonished and started speaking about things. Link pulled away with a flush, looking at them as Zelda all but shooed them away from the couple from her seat.
“Very much want to get a move on. I do need to get to the Domain as quickly as possible before this news spreads there before I do,” Sidon sighed heavily.
It would be known across the kingdom. At least Link was very well known. They'd want to spead that gossip faster than any illness.
And they had just fueled the fire.
“Good luck,” Link said to him, squeezing his hands and then looked to Zelda as she huffed.
“Honestly, I can't wait till this all dies down. So many questions of what is going on from why are you kissing the king, to what happened to thezora queen, on and on....” Zelda sighed and looked to her friend. “Let us get out of public for now so that I may rest my head. Somtimes I think being a dragon was much easier for me.”
She rubbed her temples a little bit in annoyance. Sidon offered a little water from his palm he was able to conjure up.
“No thank you,” she said with a soft smile. “But one day I would love to see you work your sage powers for me.”
“Certainly. After I have Link settled I shall do that for you,” Sidon said. He turned to Link again and gave him another quick peck on the head. “I'll see you soon.”
“See you soon,” Link said fondly up at him.
Taking Zelda's hand he pressed on the purah pad and soon the two with the horse disappeared in a shimmering light back to Link's home.
*
Sidon arrived back at the Domain by night fall. Some of the waterways were blocked with some passing animals or lingering monsters. He finally made it home however and was greeted with the familiar smiles from his guards.
“Welcome back your majesty,” one said. “We are happy to see you have had a safe return but next time please do let us know when you travel.”
“Your father nearly had our heads when he found out that you went alone,” the other said. Sidon approached them and pat their soulders.
“Forgive me. It was something that I had to leave immediately for. However I will seek to do better in the future,” he said. That seemed to please them as Sidon walked away.
That was a little strange. Not the leaving on his own but not mentioning anything about what had happened. He had been certain that news would have traveled by now.
He made his way towards the throne room, adjusting his sash and collar so that it would hide the bite mark on his neck.
Perhaps not everyone knew yet. This was certainly not the way he wanted to do it either. He would wait for Link to return and then they would do it together when the time was right.
For now he needed to find his father and his...ex mate.
A sinking feeling fell into his stomach. She had her egg. This just made things all the messier...
With a sigh he head up the stairs to the throne. There was his father was talking with Yona and Bazz, not looking too happy.
And in Yona's arms in a sling straped to her body, was the egg.
“Evening,” Sidon said as he stepped into the room. Bazz knelt down next to Yona, his head bowed which Sidon waved him to stand back up.
“Evening Sidon,” Yona said. Dorephan smiled down at him. A knowing smile....
Father knew and obviously Yona knew as well.
“So um...” he started unsure how to find the words.
“When is he coming?” Yona asked softly, a gentle smile on her face. Sidon's eyes widened.
“You knew?” he asked softly.
“I had my hunches,” she said, reaching and lightly taking Sidon's large hand in her own. “I'm just very glad that you're finally happy.”
“You are happy, are you not?” Dorephan asked.
“Very much...I..I am sorry Yona. He just makes me so happy. I'm not sure how any of this is going to work out. You are queen and you have our egg but Link is my mate and...” he rambled on out of worry of what could happen. “How do we tell our people this?”
“We don't tell our people anything yet. Not till Link gets here,” Dorephan stated. “As for your other worries...well we need to figure out the whole thing. You still need an heir.”
Sidon furrowed his brow in confuson. His hand resting on the egg. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Bazz bristle.
“What are you talking about? We managed to conceive. Yona had used my....we...” he said flushing. He hadn't told his father about the arrangement. Yona however patted his hand and slowly removed it from the egg.
“I never actually used it,” she said softly. “And I hadn't gotten pregnant the few times that we had been together.”
Sidon slowly let his hand drop and looked down at his former mate.
“You had me believing this was my own child?” Sidon asked, anger lacing his voice. “Whose is it? Why did you lie to me?”
“It was the safest option,” Yona responded with a frown. “Bazz and I were only looking out for the well being in our situation before you went and marked a new mate.”
Sidon's eyes flashed gold and he stormed towards Bazz, a growl emitting from his throat. “You've been sleeping with my wife?” “Hey, whoa slow down,” Bazz said. “You've been sleeping with Link for months.”
“Sidon...?” came Link's voice from the stairs, bags at his feet. “Is..is this a bad time?”

OmegaGuy (this one's a long one, like I struggled to get a grasp on what this story wanted to be long, aka the reason it was never finished. It's also pretty disjointed as is, so sorry for that).
Nothing sexual, but obviously does include alpha/beta/Omega designations and the like if that's not your thing
Humans were not the first life forms the Green Lantern Corps had encountered with such wildly varying genders and sexes. The guardians set rules and boundaries for them all the same. Upon inspecting the Earth's inhabitants and their tendencies, it was decided that only alphas and betas were got to be Green Lanterns. Alphas were the heads of societies after all, the most physically fit and the most intimidating, and betas were perfectly bland for what was needed out of a Green Lantern, they had no ruts or heats to slow them down, and where they lacked that additional punch of authority they instead had that much clearer of a head. Omegas, however, they could not be trusted with a ring. For one, with omegas being the child bearers of the race the guardians could not put it to chance that an omega might become incapacitated with child, costing the Corps one of its needed members. Two, omegas suffered from heats, and while alphas might also suffer from ruts, those did not have the same needs or lose of time that a heat required. And on the final note, they were far too weak. Humans themselves had deemed the sex as such, largely relegated to those safe occupations or even just kept at home to care for their young. They did not have the physicality required to be a Lantern, and the less said about their emotional imbalances the better. It had been said that many an omega was hysterical after all, largely in part to a barren womb. If the species' own scientists from centuries prior were saying this, then surely it meant something.
There would be no omegas in the Green Lantern Corps, and that was final.
But the guardians were far more ignorant than they allowed themselves to believe, their arrogance forcing them to miss that not only had they allowed an omega into their ranks, he'd almost been the first of his planet.
* John
John was the first to realize. The newest Earth recruit was barely half a year into his ring when I happened. He was good, John would give him that, brash and loud, but that didn't deter from the work he'd done or the skill he'd shown. But the way he stiffened up, the sudden halting of breath and the frenzied look John's way, Guy knew he'd fucked up.
They'd been sent on a search and rescue mission. Some monarch's daughter had gone missing out in 763 and it was their job to find her. It was meant to be a test for Guy, a way for him to prove he could reign in that loud and proud exterior and exude the calm every Lantern needed from time to time. Based on that coo he'd let out upon finding the girl, and the way he'd scooped her up and held her close, running his cheek over the top of her head, mindful of the antenna there, he'd passed his test with flying colors.
John never bothered to ask about Guy's designation, and neither had Hal thankfully. Quite frankly, John didn't think it was anyone's business. It was bad enough there had been restrictions put in place, forbidding omegas from serving as Green Lanterns, but John and Hal had both accepted that rule. The armed forces back home had the same standing after all, and for how much John hated it, he knew his place didn't involve asking questions, especially not here. So he'd gone under the assumption that Guy was a beta. While he might have the loud attitude and the large form of an alpha, he lacked the ruts that had caused both Hal and John himself to request leave during Guy's short time in the Corps. He was a beta, an outgoing, overconfident beta, but a beta nontheless.
Except he evidently wasn't.
Guy stared back at him, a sharp fear burning in those eyes of his as he held the alien child close, frozen as he awaited John's judgement. On Earth if an omega was found to have infiltrated an alpha space, whether it be law enforcement, military, anything, they weren't safe. At the least they'd be discharged immediately upon return to base, at worse, well, John didn't want to think of the stories he'd heard, the things his fellow soldier had bragged about doing.
While stories like Mulan were heralded as great works and examples of how omegas could move beyond their allotted roles in society, society was far from willing to actually allow such a thing to happen.
John watched Guy for another few seconds, considered the man before him. Guy was an omega, as a Green Lantern he was part of Hal's pack, he'd hidden his designation from his packmates. But did his designation really matter? He'd been chosen to be a Green Lantern, the ring sought him out even with the Guardian's limitations in place, hell he'd almost been chosen first, before even he or Hal. In the few months he'd been a Lantern he'd done some amazing work, he'd proven himself even if it seemed like he didn't believe that himself. So what he wasn't an alpha or beta, what did it really matter? Who was John to decide whether someone was worthy? And based on things they couldn't control? He'd be a liar and a hypocrite.
Taking one last glance at the man before him, to how tender he held the child even as he remained frozen in a crouch, he nodded and moved to help him up. "Let's get back to the Capitol," he said as he gently grabbed Guy's elbow and helped him stand. "We can report in once we're there."
Guy stared back at him, a question in his eyes that he was clearly too scared to ask, his throat constricting as he attempted to remain calm. "And then?" he asked quietly.
"Then we'll talk," John answered, his eyes darting to the girl in Guy's arms. He looked back to Guy, grabbing his shoulder in what he hoped came off as comforting and compassionate, squeezing just slightly as he rumbled deep in his throat. "Just the two of us, okay?"
The nod he received was hesitant and barely there, but it was there nonetheless.
Their trip back to the Capitol was left mostly in silence, only broken by the girl's questions and Guy's answers. It gave John even more time to think, and then more still as they reached the Capitol and handed the girl off to her parents. He spent the time mulling over what to do, how best to help Guy. He'd already made his decision, it wasn't a hard one really. Guy would be staying as a Green Lantern come hell or high water, and John was ready to be there to support him. But an Omega had needs, needs that had no doubt gone ignored during the months he'd spent on Oa. Between the lack of a nest, the lack of sufficient pack bonding, having to hide his omega instincts, it would all be detrimental to Guy's health if not dealt with accordingly. And then there was the matter of heats...
His blood ran cold at the thought, realization dawning as he looked to Guy in shock. In the amount of time Guy had been a Green Lantern most omegas would have had at least one or two heats, some more, but in all that time there'd been nothing. He hadn't asked for leave, hadn't disappeared for the week that a heat would take to be dealt with. Even with the strongest available suppressants he would have had a heat, or would be preparing for one by now. What the hell?
He didn't get a chance to ask, not for a few hours anyway, not with the celebration the monarch wanted to throw for his daughters return, and definitely not with so many strangers around. This was a conversation that needed to happen in private, not surrounded by hundreds of strangers.
It didn't happen until the late hours of the morning, with the two of them drained and worn out, lounging around in the room provided to them for the night. John remained by the wall, watching and waiting for Guy to give him the go ahead. An omega's space was precious and not to be infringed upon. Sure they'd shared space before, but that was under different circumstances, a different understanding. He couldn't help but watch how Guy moved, how not-omega-like he was in his movements and mannerism. How did he become like this? It couldn't be natural, it had to have been learned, trained into him. But why?
"Are you gonna get over here or are you planning on holding up the wall all night?" Guy asked from the bed, throwing himself back onto the mattress. "Thought you wanted to, uh, talk, and shit. Or did you wanna wait til morning?"
It wasn't a normal invitation, but he figured it was the best he was going to get. "Now's good," he said as he dropped down next to Guy, careful to keep a reasonable distance. "Unless you'd prefer we wait."
"No, no, now's good," Guy said, forcing himself up into a seated position. He ran a hand over his face, the strain of the day showing in his features as he stared ahead. It took a moment for him to collect himself, but by the time he was looking at John he'd be hard pressed to believe the man was as tired as he'd just shown.
"I'm not telling anyone," John began, making sure to keep his voice as steady as possible.
"But I'm an omega," Guy said slowly, confirming what they both knew by now. "And that's against GL rules. You're the by the book guy, why should I believe you'll be any different just because of this one thing?"
It was an understandable question, one John would be asking if their positions were reversed. Really, John had nothing to lose by outing him, it wouldn't ruin him or his reputation, if anything it would put him in a good light with the Guardians, if anything he has so much more to lose by not outing him. Who's to say what the consequences of keeping such information secret would be? How far the hammer would fall?
But at the end of it all, could he really live with himself if he told anyone? Sure as hell no.
"I care about you Guy," he said. Guy's reaction was almost immediate, that squinting of the eyes, the stiffening and closing of his posture, like he expected there to be a catch, some kind of payment for John's silence. "I'm not saying that as some alpha looking out for a poor defenseless omega Guy, I'm saying that as someone who cares about you, I'm saying that as your brother in ring, as a friend. I'm not going to tell anyone, but I need you to let me help you."
Guy huffed, his eyes rolling as far back as they could go. "And why the hell would I need your help John? I've been going at it for months on my own just fine, I don't see why I suddenly need your help."
* Kyle
For months Kyle regarded the day he'd become a Green Lantern as the greatest. In the span of one evening he'd gone from a nobody to a hero, had gone from a powerless, random Omega to one of the most powerful individuals in the universe, weilding a power ring just as his heroes had before him. He could have only dreamed of obtaining this power and position before, only hoped and prayed and lamented for the universe to turn in his favor. And it did! He was a Green Lantern, and not only that he was the first Omega Green Lantern, he was making history. He did what no Omega had done before.
Except that wasn't the case was it?
And to make matters just that much worse, for every good thing that ever seemed to happen to him, another tragedy would follow.
It didn't take long to learn of what became of Hal Jordan, to find out that he was the only Green Lantern left, that he was Ganthet's last ditch effort to save the Corps. Being the first omega didn't really mean much when there was no one else around, now was it? And it certainly didn't make it any easier when the realization crossed his mind that the only reason he was here, the only reason he'd been given this chance, was because of so many deaths.
Alex had made it easier to accept that knowledge, and by extension the responsibility that accompanied such a role. "This could all be one misunderstanding," she'd said one night, "but you're the one wearing that ring now, and you're the one that made the decision to be a hero. Are you really going to waste it like this?"
He could still remember her voice, could remember her scent and the feeling of her hands, the love he'd felt for her and the love she'd felt for him back. They'd had their differences, had even separated before he got the ring. Most would say it was for the best, two omegas in a committed monogamous relationship wasn't exactly regarded that highly in the public eye, some going so far as to call it an abomination. But they loved each other and they were finally working through their problems, Kyle was finally growing away from being a whiny pup who wanted her attention without the effort and was becoming a man who could take care of and provide for her.
Unfortunately for him the universe didn't care. In the span of a few hours Alex was ripped away from him, murdered in her own apartment while he was answering cries for help. The image of her body, of her limbs twisted and broken and bent in ways they were never meant to, etched itself into his mind, dragging screams of anguish from him until his throat was raw and ruined.
He was alone, alone and hurting and in so much pain, and there was no one to ease it.
*Hal
"Well well well, if it isn't the great, the powerful, the oh so legendary, Hal Jordan, here to gift us with his presence."
There were more than a few things Hal had to get used to again after coming back. Even with his time spent as the Spectre, there were distinct differences between that plane of being and this new, very human one. He'd been here before, yes, but it all felt so new now, so different.
He could rember the banalities of human life from years past, from before he'd let fear overtake him. Small things like breathing, the small push to sit up in the morning, the pangs of hunger, and the drowsiness of exhaustion, they all felt so much more important now, so much more and human. He wanted, needed, to savor it all.
Just as he needed to savor those little, everyday occurrences, he needed to savor the not so everyday happenings. He'd been given a second chance, multiple even. Here he was, alive and whole, with a ring on his finger and the power of his will flowing through his veins. Somehow he'd been given a second chance with the ring, a chance he'd never expected to get even though he craved it with all his being. The Corps had been decimated because of him, left with nothing but Ganthet and a single ring. Yet here he was, amongst this new Corps, amongst these Lanterns both new and old. How could this have happened? Surely it was a mistake. People didn't just get second chances like this, no one did. Yeah there were others who confronted him, who made it clear he wasn't welcome or trusted, but then he'd have someone else step in, someone who made it clear they were on his side.
Somehow Guy was one of those people, and for the life of him he couldn't figure out how.
Even before Parallax they'd been at each other's throats, more than ready to rip each to shreds. Betas were usually pretty calm, keeping out of trouble and resolving those sorts of fights quickly, but there Guy was unwilling to back down no matter how outmatched he was. It had made Hal wonder for the longest time if he was wrong about Guy's designation, there were aggressive betas, but this, this was something else entirely, something he'd only ever seen in alphas.
Maybe it was just a learned behavior, Guy had been open enough with him and John about his childhood and his father, maybe that old son of a bitch had something to do with.
But now, years later, there was something else off, something much stranger. Hal could accept Guy's closeness to Kyle, between Guy and John those two were really Kyle's only connection to the Corps for the longest while. It would make sense that they'd create a bond of some kind. And with how tight John and Guy had been back in the day, it also made sense that it had continued on into today, whatever pack they'd had from their time with Hal had shifted to suit their new needs, seemingly drawing Kyle in. And with him the pack seemed so much closer, so much more complete. Even from a distance Hal could see it. Kyle brought to them what their pack had been lacking, completing the circle and finally gifting to the pack an omega.
That wasn't to say Hal only saw him through his designation, not at all. Kyle was resourceful, cunning, and so damn good with that ring, Hal practically forgot about his designation. But then Kyle would take off his scent blockers, or drag someone in close and scent them, or demand everyone in the vacinity gather round for a cuddle pile because he wasn't feeling well. Hal loved those moments, finally getting the chance to be pulled in with the others without worry for scorn or derision. But he'd always notice Guy off to the side, an unreadable expression on his face as he rubbed at his neck.
The gesture bugged him, something about it feeling off even if he couldn't figure out what it was. Guy had always been a bit more reserved in his displays of affection in the past, especially when it came to the pack. He'd always preferred to wait until they were behind closed doors to say or do anything, his voice gruff and closed off whenever Hal asked why. Seeing it now, he had to wonder if that was still the case, and if so why.
* Kilowog
The return to the Corps was...Interesting to say the least. Having just Rayner and then Stewart running around with a ring had been an adjustment, and that was before he'd had his body restored and a new ring put on his finger. Returning to the Corps, even if it was only the three of them and Ganthet, had felt like coming home. All things considered, it was.
Then came Jordan's return, and with it his and Gardner's return to the ring. Kilowog had almost cried tears of joy at seeing Hal, very much alive and not possessed by the yellow impurity. He'd managed to wait until Batman and the other Earth heroes were gone before he'd pulled the pilot into a spine shattering hug, but only just barely. And then he'd grabbed Guy, the man's joyful laughter filling the air around, and as he pulled him close he realized something was off, something was different. He couldn't quite place it, the echoes of their battle with Parallax and the adrenaline that accompanied it still racing through him, but he made a mental note to figure it out later, to check in on it and make sure his friend and fellow Corpsman was well. If anything the strangeness might have just been a result of the recent trauma Guy had gone through, a byproduct of his Vuldarian dna going haywire and causing his body to practically turn itself inside out. It would be much weirder if he was completely fine. Whatever it was, he could figure it out later.
Unfortunately later came a lot later. Between the new rings going out, training the new recruits, and then dealing with the mess with the Spider Guild, he'd hardly had a moment to himself, let alone enough of one to check on his Earth friend. Recruits were his priority as the Corps's trainer after all, his own personal concerns needed to be set aside to tend to them. Though he supposed that was something he and Guy shared now, wasn't it? The two of them alongside Kyle and the other veteran Lanterns all stood as the trainers of the hundreds of recruits, their leaders and moral compass, their example. While Kyle and the others had accepted the role with pride, Guy hadn't been as forthcoming.
"I'm not a teacher," he'd said, something which had confused Kilowog immensely. Guy had been a teacher, had counseled prisoners and taught children with needs that others were not equipped for, Kilowog knew that, Guy knew that, so why would he say otherwise? When they were struggling against the Spider Guild he'd rallied everyone together, he'd pulled them together and pushed them to victory, even those rookies that were scared shitless. If anyone was fit for the job it was him.
Did it have to do with whatever was different? Kilowog hadn't gotten a chance to ask about it. Maybe that was it.
He looked around the decimated Oan landscape to where everyone was working, watched as Lanterns rebuilt the parts of the planet that had been broken while others like Natu worked to help those that were hurt. He caught sight of his Earth friends, the four of them working with different recruits on various projects. It didn't escape his sight how dazed Hal seemed, with his eyebrows pinched and his gaze set unwaveringly on Guy, even as he lifted the fallen structure before him with ease. So he noticed it too, whatever this was.
Kilowog waved to the man, barely receiving a responding wave before he turned to head in Guy's direction. Whatever was off he needed to figure it out.
Guy nodded at his arrival, laughing and joking, before turning his attention back to the surrounding recruits, and that's when he realized his scent was off. Smell was always odd off of one's home world, the burning of a planets ozone, the stillness of space, and the atmosphere of whatever planet you landed on all working to alter ones scent. But even with all of that taken into consideration, he knew Guy's was off. Even the years since his last stint as a Lantern couldn't account for this sweet smell. He'd always smelled very neutral, not too sweet or spicy or bitter, no one smell overpowering him that he could remember. Yet here he floated, smelling of burnt Earth wood. It was off putting to say the least.
Humans didn't normally change their scents right? At least not like this. He knew of their odd genders and sexes, the alphas like Hal and John with their musky and earthy smells, the omegas like Kyle with their restrained but pleasantly sweet smells-so long as they were happy and scent blockers were not in use-, and the betas with their muted or even complete lack of a smell. Kilowog had never been able to smell Guy outside of normal acquired scents, he'd always been nonexistent to the Bolovaxian's nose. But taking a nice, deep breath, pulling in the surrounding air, it was undeniable. Guy smelled less like nothing and more like Kyle.
"You okay ya big butt head?" Guy asked with a light hearted shove. "You're looking like your head's about to pop."
Kilowog looked him over, not noticing any differences in him physically other than his altered hairstyle and the few additional lines that age had brought him. He breathed in one more time, that wood smell still there, still radiating off of Guy, and he had to know. "You smell different Poozer." He said it like a joke, adding in a small grin as he grabbed Guy's shoulder. "Trying to attract the new recruits? Smell's important to more than a few of their races."
In a flash the color drained from Guy's already pale face, his hand rushing up to slap over his covered neck, reaching under the material of his uniform for something Kilowog couldn't see. He threw his head back, eliciting a groan before following it up with an exclamation of "Fuck!" More than a few recruits turned around, scandalized at whatever their rings had translated the word as. Kilowog waved them away with a glare, grabbing Guy's shoulder to pull him somewhere private and away from the hundreds of eyes currently watching them. Whatever this was Guy clearly wasn't comfortable with it, and the last thing Kilowog wanted was to make it worse.
The other Earth Lanterns watched them go, Kyle and John with knowing looks, and Hal with one of worry and a little panic. Did he know what this was? Or was he as lost as Kilowog was?
"Are you okay?" He asked once they were well away from the others. Guy's face was firmly planted in his hands, waves of frustration rolling off of him as something soured the aired.
"No," he finally answered, forcing himself to look up at the alien towering over him before he started pacing around the space, running his hands over his head. "I'm not. I can't fucking believe, I know that I, it was there before, some fucker must've got a lucky shot, god dman it. This wasn't supposed to happen."
"Guy, my friend, you c'n trust me, you know that," Kilowog said as he found a perch to sit on. "What wasn't supposed to happen?"
Guy stopped in his pacing, looking out of their space to the work being done, a sudden look of exhaustion coming over him. He hadn't rested in a while, had he? Not since before that recruit training session turned mission brief. The others had taken time to at least sit down, to be looked over for any medical needs, or even to rest for a bit. Guy hadn't.
"My scent blockers," Guy answered, squeezing himself in next to Kilowog as he reached into his shirt, pulling out a small skin like pad. "There's supposed to be two of them, one of them must've come lose during that final bit with the Guild. You're not supposed to be able to smell me big guy."
Kilowog reached down slowly, taking the small square once Guy nodded his approval. He held it up, looked it over for any oddities. It was small, smaller than one of his fingers, with a color that matched Guy's flesh almost exactly on one side, and an adhesive, white color on the other. He took a small sniff of the material, and in an instant his nose was filled with various smells and the feelings connected to them. He knew what this was, Hal had explained it to him years ago when Hal had first been inducted into the ranks of the Green Lanterns, the alpha having worn them as a way to keep his head clear and to not give away his emotions.
"You're not a beta then," Kilowog stated as he handed the square back. "I don't understand why you would be concerned over that. This is a new Corps, we trust each other here, you don't need to hide."
The look Guy gave him screamed of confusion, like he'd expected something much worse, something condemning. "You're not..."
"Why would I be? It doesn't change anything. You're still the same Poozer I knew before, you just smell different, that's all."
Guy nodded, fisting the used up blocker into a ball as he hung his head. Watching him, Kilowog went through the options that were left, what he could do. While he understood his own race's sexes and their unique characteristics, his knowledge of Earth's was still limited to what little information Hal had given him all those years ago and what little he'd observed on Earth. And for all he knew that could've changed. He didn't want to assume anything, not with his friend clearly so anxious.
"Is that why y' didn't wanna teach the new recruits?" He asked. "You thought the Guardians were stereotyping you?"
"Sorta?" Guy leaned into him, his head cushioning itself into the side of his chest with little resistance. "I mean, I wanted more action and stuff too, thought they were sidelining me compared to John and Hal, and considering Kyle was gonna be the only other one with me, well. Putting the two omegas as trainers and the two alphas on the front lines has some, implications, if you get my meaning."
"But the Guardians don't know," Kilowog said. "At least, they didn't seem to before."
"Ganthet knows."
"Do you really think he'd hold that over you? Especially now? After Kyle?"
"I've known people to do a worse heel face turn, I wouldn't be surprised."
There wasn't much to be said for that. Guy was right after all. Kilowog had been on Earth enough, had seen how some humans treated others based on their designation. He could remember the phrases "You're really good for an omega" and "Why can't other omegas just be like you?" clear as day, that implication that these people were less capable just by virtue of existing. He'd also seen the extent of human brutality, how manipulative they could be. If he had it his way his Earth friends would never return to that planet, he'd keep them away from those horrible people with their horrible lies and words, but he knew he'd be no better if he did. His friends deserved to make their own choices and go where they wanted, he just needed to be prepared if they ever needed him.
"Well," he finally said, pulling Guy even closer to his side as he leaned down to nuzzle his head. "If they ever try anything they'll be dealing with a lot more than just you."
"Is that so?"
"Heh, between me, your Earth brothers, and those recruits out there, the Guardians stand no chance against us."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that big K," Guy said, patting the hand on his side.
"Overcome your fear Poozer," Kilowog said with a joking lilt to his voice, running his hand over the little bit of hair on Guy's head. "Trust your fellow Lanterns, believe in them. They care a lot less about your human designations than you meat sacks think they do."
"Fine fine." Guy's laughter flowed again, bringing peace along with it. "We'll see."
"We better."

Most people thinks napcknokega is just there to churn out babies and act as a toy for the pack alphas, maybe even do things like cook or see for the pack. But the truth is… the omega is the most important member of the pack. The pack leader make make the decisions and commands… but the pack omega is the one to keep his head cook, or offer support and guidance. They’re the advisor, the caretaker, the one to keep peace between the alphas or help the insecurities of the betas. So to make Melidoas the pack omega is actually a huge honor, one tainted by his father’s perception on omegas to the point he was severely misinformed on the matter. So when there’s a diffiydecision to be made among the commandments it had been extremely surprising to the captive omega when Zeldris turned to him and asked,
“What do you think, Brother?”
Omegas are nicknamed the Pack Mothers because of how caring and kind they can be. They calm down the pack if there is tension, cook for them (although the task can be shared), and care for the pups. There's a lot that Omegas can do, and are actually very valuable in a pack full of Alphas and Betas.
Of course Meliodas agrees, albeit a bit shyly. But he agrees nontheless.

I just read Falcon's question about having a chick through an egg and it's so cute, imagine it in its nest, its fluffy wings around the egg warming it, a bucket of popcorn and soda watching a movie, and when he hears the sound of his alpha opening the door, he starts to purr.
i am gonna assume you mean hawks in this ask? and it's definitely a cute scenario nontheless!

Cookie Run: Ovenbreak and Sky: Children of the Light are two polar opposite mobile games, and here’s what I feel about them.
Ovenbreak loves to give you. Once a month it’ll shower you in gifts because it has started a bunch of events. Here’s your coins for being present when this event started! Yay!
But it gets overwhelming. I started playing it several years ago, and there was a little less to the game. And honestly, that was better. Because right now I can’t find the time to keep up with 5 to 7 month-lasting events every month, even if they’re all similar (Ex. At least 3 events will have the same objective to fullfill, so you do it once - you’ve done it for all three).
The reason I no longer play Ovenbreak is because there is just too much.
As for paytoplay content in Ovenbreak: Eh. It shoves it in your face several times a day. But there are tons of reasons to love and relish the game for all it can give you without buying additional stuff.
Sky: Children of the Light is a lot like real life. You have to work to have stuff. At times, it’s not easy. But if you want to have enough of the game’s currency you have to dedicate 2 hours a day to it.
On the other hand the game is Beautiful. Stunningly beautiful. It’s beautiful the first time you play, it’s beautiful the third month you play. And it’s probably beautiful the first year too. I’ve only been playing since April (around the time of android release), but I know people have been playing it since early Alpha and all that time (since 2018).
Sky doesn’t love to give. At all. Your best free bet is 3 to 5 free spells every 3 months due to events of them being implemented. Otherwise? You have to pay.
You pay to have the ultimate rewards of the events that last 3 months. You pay to have borderline useless (but nontheless fancy) cosmetics and items. You have to do your best every day for 2 hours to keep up with a bi-weekly smaller events where you just have to pay for the limited time items that might only become available again in several months. Or you can pay real life money.
Another downside to Sky is even when you find it in yourself to stay dedicated to the game for months - sooner or later there won’t be an unexplored corner of the game to you. That’s where you can only rely on the social aspect of the game (which I must note is very well done). Such as having friends and helping newbie players, who will probably uninstall the game next week and never remember that you’ve spent 2 hours of your life showing them how to light candles up.
But I’ll be honest - helping does feels rewarding, even if you never see the person again.
Compared to Ovenbreak being too overwhelming, Sky is too underwhelming once you get used to it.
But in that aspect Sky is a little better. Because where you have an empty space - you can let your imagination fill the space and come up with something you haven’t done before.
It is a lot like real life.
And that’s my opinion on Sky and Ovenbreak, an explanation why I stopped playing one and keep playing the other, and my experience with each.
P. S. You can hug people in Sky. That’s nice too.

Nesting!Omega!Arthur x Gender Neutral!Reader
i can explain guys...
Arthur's spent most of his life very much not in tune with his nature as an omega. Dutch raised him to be 'traditional' about the social order, thinking he'd turn out as an alpha like him, or at least a beta like Hosea, and then when he started presenting as an omega...
It was yet another brick between him and John.
So normally, he goes through all of this alone. Without taking more than a few days to himself, usually just powering through the ordeal and dampening his heats under heavy scent-blockers (one of the few 'luxuries' he affords himself)
All that changes when you show up, of course.
You're closer to him than the rest of the gang, than anyone he's ever known. You can see the way he gets flushed more often, his inability to stay focused. Smell the change in his scent before the scent-blockers take effect.
You're aware that he's heading into it before he really is.
When Arthur starts getting needy and gathering his things in a sparse pile in the corner of his tent, you notice. Make sure to leave your things lying around where he can find them, your scent readily available. Note that he starts drawing the flaps closed, spending more and more time by himself, to the bewilderment of everyone else. Make sure to station yourself by the tent enough that you can keep watch, that your scent can drift inside, hopefully bring him some sort of comfort.
That's as far as you take it though, not wanting to intrude on his sanctuary.
That's as far as it goes, at least until he wakes you from your vigil late one evening, eyes hazy, the bags under them darker than usual. You blink up at him, stiff from the cold ground, but then his needy tone hits you, and you let him drag you back into the tent with just a moment's hesitation.
The nest he's built is sparse, with just his own clothing to work off of and a few of your own garments, but you crawl in nontheless, spreading out in the nest and beckoning him to come lie with you. He gives a grunt before he follows suit, pushing your shirt up over your head and pressing close to your chest.
Arthur is trembling and can't keep still, and nestles his head somewhere under your shoulder, giving a soft whine as you run your fingers through his hair, wrapping one arm around him. His body is on fire, but you're there to hold him steady...

The she wolf had been making her usual rounds about town, her guard detail surrounded her entirely as she walked through the streets greeting those who noticed her and wanted a picture. Since the full moon phase had passed she was doing more in the public eye though the other younger red head had still been missing from her posse. The alpha seemed unmoved by the lack of her younger sisters presence and she tactfully navigated around questions as to the regards of where she might be. As Tamryn walked down the streets she noticed a man enter and alleyway, the simply action seemed unnatural enough for the she wolf to lift a hand and order her wolves to take up positions around this location as she wanted to give the appearance that she was alone. She stepped across the street and inhaled deeply to get the mans scent, faintly she caught a familiar scent and it was enough to cause her to growl and clear the distance of the Alleyway with superhuman speed. She body blocked the man as he came around the corner. She growled down at him, naturally in heels she towered over most who were not at least six feet tall themselves. It was then that the scent was more clear and she rolled her eyes before motioning with her head for the man to leave. She didn’t move, more so waited with a glare focused on him as he moved around her to exit the alley. She turned the corner to see the young wiccan counting cash. While the she wolf knew nothing occurred that would have warranted the comment she still went with it regardless, “This is not what I had in mind for you working hun, while I am the first to tell you there are many ways to use your body to gain what you want... selling it is not one of them..Why am I finding you in an alley way counting cash after a big man comes walking out? If he assaulted you I have no problem in assaulting him back..” She trailed off as she started to walk back out of the alley way as if to stop the man herself. Though she knew that was not the case she had a feeling the potential of risking someone harm would get the young girl to speak into the real reasons the Alpha was stumbling across such a peculiar scene.
Hearing footsteps approaching she looked up confused, thinking maybe something was wrong and the man came back. But when Tamryn was the one standing there she looked like a deer caught in headlights, quickly stuffing the cash into her purse. “I was doing no such thing!” She felt her face heat up in embarrassment just from the suggestion. Then came the assault allegations, and as someone who had dealt with plenty real assault she was not going to let an innocent man be accused by an alpha nontheless. She reached out and grabbed Tamryns arm gently pulling her back. “NOOOO!!! Shh please stop he didn’t do anything!” She let go and sighed softly glancing up at the sky. “Look I was just selling him something to make a quick buck that’s all” some luck she had getting caught whilst making her first sale.

since you did an amazing job on benny, I'd love to see some hc's of Joshua Graham. And since the ABO verse is one of my favorite things {thanks to you} So what would Graham be in that verse and if he was an alpha how would he act around an omega!courier six?
Read more about the Omegaverse AU is and how I write it here!
Joshua Graham is an alpha, through and through, though you’d be hard-pressed to figure it out casually since he does his best to keep it subtle–after he’s left the Legion, that is. As Caesar’s right-hand man, Joshua Graham is a nearly merciless alpha, one that could instill fear into the hearts of plenty of the men below him. In battle he was fierce, almost monstrous when his vision was filled with red and his body with bloodlust–Caesar’s Legion, after all, takes advantage and tries to further these behaviors of alphas to an extreme level in order to gain an advantage in battle.
Once fallen from his bloody past, Joshua Graham is just as much of an alpha as he was before, but he tries very much to keep that aspect of him suppressed. Like his wrath or anger, the man tries to ignore it, tries to forget about it, tries to hide it away for the sake of others around him while he seeks forgiveness and stews in the guilt of past sins. Though is he very much an honest, genuine man, there are still plenty of aspects clinging to him from his past–he does everything he can to suppress his instincts as an alpha, even going so far as to resort to trying various chems and tribal remedies (all of which are useless, of course).
But then comes the Courier. Though Joshua Graham has had plenty of experience in ignoring his body’s wants in the attention and curiosity of omegas, he never realizes how hard it is to keep up that restraint until he meets you after your unfortunate run-in with the White Legs while escorting that caravan. It takes all of him not to respond the way his body wants, while you are still shaken and nervous from the near-death experience. The want to coddle, comfort and protect–they’re odd feelings he hasn’t felt in years, feelings that most alphas have burned away the moment they join the Legion. The only useful alpha to Caesar is, after all, a ruthless one.
In much the same way that the Courier might help Graham heal and temper his wrath for vengeance, so too do they help him heal as an alpha whose instincts had been curtailed like a trained dog. He quickly becomes oddly….protective of the Courier, close in ways that can’t be described as mere friendship or thensome–a bond. Perhaps a romantic one, perhaps it’s merely platonic, but it’s a bond nontheless.
It had been years since Joshua Graham had allowed himself to feel vulnerable–pheromones and careless instincts, they can all be used against someone, a way to get past their guard, but he nonetheless allows the Courier a little bit into his thoughts and world, especially if they risk their life to help him, Daniel and the people they’ve sworn to protect.
It certainly doesn’t hurt in that the Courier quickly becomes the most-respected omega of the Dead Horses, almost in the same way that Joshua is the most respected alpha–it’s all rather cute, honestly.

for @ejc74656 who Sent me prompt #158'this is awkward'
from the prompt list https://admiralkatcornwellfan.tumblr.com/post/178440529455/nearly-200-writing-prompts-feel-free-to-reblog
'This is awkward'
wasn't the first thought came to Kathryn's mind when she literally bumped into Chakotay on DS9. but after initial greetings and smile that felt stretching too much instead of being genuine , Kathryn began to feel the sheer awkwardness of this situation.
He was alone, of course. And she wouldn't even think of the awkwardness if she managed to bump into..well,both of them.
Not that it would happen anyway, according to the scuttlebutt of Voyager (which was functioning at optimum capacity even after the abrupt return to Alpha Quadrent) she had left Earth for Vulcan, for a prestigious position in Vulcan science Academy. and for him , he had disappeared from Earth not a moment to soon their three month debriefings had ended.
Not even B'Elanna knew where he was and Kathryn didn't had the need or the energy to dissect the emotions and feelings his sudden departure made her experience. Instead, she bent her head down, posed for Starfleet propaganda, her own promotion as a vice Admiral and worked until she forgot she ever left Earth in the first place. Not that it worked anyway, if her all too familiar night terrors and Panic attacks were any sign.
It hurt like hell when she was 'not so gently' told by her own charming future self that he was with her, of all people he could choose to be with , he chose the one that hurt her most.
Kathryn Sometimes wondered if he did it by purpose, a move to hurt her back , after all the pain and heartbreak she caused him through years. She did want to forget she wasn't to be blamed but her guilty conscience reminded her too often the look in his eyes when she was with Kashyyk or 'the-alien-of-the-week' and she Never missed the jealousy undertone of his amused voice , when he told her to have 'fun' with Michael Sullivan.
All the thoughts she mulled over countless glasses of wine in Quiet evenings for past 8 months came back to her in a rush , and it was overwhelming , so to speak.
She didn't know what to feel; anger, sadness, betrayal or happiness that he hadn't blown himself up with another shuttle. So she choose awkwardness. that was way better and she had an image to uphold.
Even in a place like DS9, Face of the golden girl of Starfleet was never going to go unnoticed and to add up to it, she was in her full uniform as well.
Chakotay tugged at his ear and Kathryn knew he was feeling the same thing and she also knew the water under the bridge was far too Deep when it came to their relationship. Or lack thereof.
But how much she missed him, oh God how many times she turned to her left to say something to him and found the cold empty space instead of the familiar warmth and strength his presence provided? or the dinners and lunches he would drag her into, despite her protests but she'd thoroughly enjoy nontheless? Or the comfortable silence inbetween them while they worked, sipping their favorite beverages and Chakotay breaking the silence to tell a new rumor he heard via the scuttlebutt (how he get to know all that, she never knew) or just stories from his Academy days and she'd join in with a full laugh or a small story of her own. Gods, she missed her best friend, and she was determined to get back that, at least.
So she found herself almost dragging him to her VIP quaters and what a sight that must've been. The Hero of the Delta Quadrent , a vice Admiral , dragging her former first officer, a tall, dark ,handsome civilian , dressed in black leather through Quark's bar.
Chakotay followed suit, never even questioning her once.
And once they were safely inside her darkend quaters, and the door shut behind them, she turned to get a good look at him.
He was much leaner than when she last saw him, his face gaunt and a few new lines added here and there, the skin turned to a darker brown instead of the golden hue she was used to.
She could feel the roughened palms of his underneath her own softened ones, and she could take a clever guess where he had been over all this time.
'Have you finished looking, Kathryn'?
he asked finally, amusement evident in his voice as he smiled at her, full dimples on effect.
Kathryn found her face was getting more heated that she liked and almost felt annoyed at herself for being this responsive to him. She was never immune to those beautiful dimples for all the years in DQ and it seemes she was still the same , despite the long absence Between.
'Have you'? she countered his question with her own because she knew and already felt his gaze lingering on herself and as always he was a gentleman in that as well.
'Never will be'
His answer gave her more questions as now she followed him to the couch and almost flopped on it, a defeated sigh escaping her lips.
'What do you want from me Kathryn? I'm not saying that seeing you here is a thought that crossed my mind. but I want to know .... ' he ended in a softer tone , unsure how to procede, because this scenario was not even in his mind by lightyears whenever he thought about his meeting with Kathryn. He was prepared for a cold shoulder , heck even anger. but not a Marathon through corridors of a Deep Space station and ending up in her quaters. Not that he minded anyway.
Kathryn licked her suddenly dry lips and swallowed a knot that was in her throat (which came always when she thought about him) along with her pride and answered quickly. Janeways were Never cowards and they were all 'straight shooters' but she had been a coward for far too long when it came to him. And all technicalities and semantics aside, she owed him the truth.
'I want you back , Chakotay. I need you in my life. I missed you so much and I'm so sorry...' her voice failed her as she avoided his gaze, stood up and walked to the viewport to look at the still-stars outside.
Chakotay was shell-shocked for a moment, unsure of what he heard. Kathryn Janeway he knew, had a hard time admitting her faults and expressing her vulnerabilities. Just when he thought he figured this woman out, she just can surprise him with a move he Never even anticipated from her. He was thinking about going to Earth, staying with Parises for couple of days and then going to find Kathryn to at least salvage what was left of their friendship.
but here he was in DS9, just an hour after his shuttle from Dorvan landed, listening to a confession from the person he didn't even dreamt of listening to . In his mind, he had dishonoured a vow he made , despite what ever she did, he swore to stay by her side and bear her burdens. but what did he do? In guilt and shame over his actions, ran to the furthest corner he could think of like a kicked puppy.
He sighed and almost smiled as he stood up to join her at the viewport and placed his hand on her shoulder.
Startled, Kathryn almost jumped but relaxed when she realized it was just him.
'It is I who should apologize to you. I promised that I would be there for you and look what I did'. he chuckled humorlessly.
Kathryn looked into his eyes and saw a myriad of emotions swimming in Those dark depths she always found mysterious and intriguing. And just then she knew she didn't want to be part from him for another day. She waited for 7 long years for this, to be free of protocols an regulations that strangled her.
'we both have lot of things to point out if we are going to do just that. but I don't want to waste anymore time, Chakotay.
Are you with me?'
and he replied with the answer she was well used to hearing from him before finally gathering her in his arms and kissing her on the lips.
'Always'.
Also on Ao3 ( for some reason I can't link it)
