Jin Guangyao gets to be tall because I wanted him to look to other people like a statue of a benevolent god having come to life, maybe he gets some skin discoloration so he looks like a white Jade statue adorned in gold? But it’s also so Su She can conveniently hide under his robes... which is also why Su She gets not to be an apostle as fun as the design might be. Idk what what his form would be but something that would emphasize his devotion to Jin Guangyao, like overgrown with flowers to the point of no longer recognisable. Beautiful and terrifying? Well you know the video game thing when the boss absorbs or uh eats a minion to heal himself/power up? Well yes. That.

The plot wouldn’t be much different but eh Guanyin temple confrontation might take place more outside because that’s Jin Guangyao’s like regular slightly monstrous shape and not his dark apostle form. Who’s the sacrifice? Since it’d follow canon plot Qin Su or Rusong would strike as most obvious choice but I think Jin Guangshan would be interesting because of how it reflects him giving up on the hope he’d ever be truly accepted as a son and it would conveniently line up with him becoming Sect leader.

It’d also fit well with Wen Ruohan being an Apostle(that’s what the other scribbles are) too and the one who told Meng Yao about how to become one including the necessary sacrifice in a “As your mentor I’m just giving you the information, what you make of it, whether you will take this step or not is up to you” I wonder if there’d be more Sect leaders who are apostles since it’d be usually very noticeable and there should be more than just Wen Ruohan and Jin Guangyao so people seeing extra tall Jin Guangyao wouldn’t think it’s a bad thing. Maybe see it more like a sign of being given some kind of divine power since the actual way it works would be secret.

It could also be interesting for Nie Sect if it’s a different type of deal where it’s delayed? Like maybe you are yourself the sacrifice in that case? It was lost in between the need you no doubt felt to constantly comfort Rafael about his current misgivings and past misfortunes and your parents’ well-meaning but busy-bodied comments. It was clouded by Rafael’s own mother’s opinions, and hell, even Sonny’s - everyone was so afraid Rafael was going to lose you that they pressured him into offering you a ring and a promise of forever - but little did anyone know that by doing just that... he had in fact lost you anyway.

His mother was devastated, weeping about how you would’ve made such a lovely bride, how she was already looking at suits for Rafael and venues for the wedding... he couldn’t handle it and left her apartment after ten minutes of her lamentation. He should’ve never told her, he should’ve never been so sure of what was going on in your head, because now he realizes he never had any idea. No one did.

So now, he snaps at Sonny, because Sonny is guilty by way of telling him “oh sure, she’ll say yes” like anyone knew what the fuck you would do when the question was finally asked. Maybe you didn’t even know until he was down on one knee. Still, Rafael can’t help wondering if things would be different if the car accident never happened - deep down, he knows there were signs you were pulling away after Thanksgiving, but it’s so much easier to blame Sonny for it. You wouldn’t have sunk so low in a deep depression if you could’ve worked, if you weren’t immobilized by your injury... but would you have loved Rafael enough anyway?

“Will you shut the fuck up?” Rafael hisses at the younger detective. “You’ve been talking my ear off all morning.”

“Whoa, Barba, wake up on the wrong side of the bed today or what? I was just getting you up to speed on the case—“

“I’ve read the file. You don’t need to.”

“Fine. Liv’s in her office but I suggest cooling the attitude, because she’s not in a good mood either. Noah was sick and kept her up all night.”

“Lovely.”

And then, by some sick twist of fate, you walk through the door, and Rafael’s stomach turns. Never did you look so gorgeous, so beautiful, so fucking untouchable than you did now. It’s the first time in weeks he’s seen you in a blazer and slacks, the first time he’s seen you look like you gave a shit in months. And maybe that’s unfair - you were struggling, per your own admission - but it almost feels like all you had to do was lose the weight of Rafael and all his baggage that came with being in a relationship with him, and you were good as new.

He wonders how many of his exes could tell a similar story to yours, if that were truly the case.

You meet his eyes for a split second and he wants to drop dead. You give him a haughty smirk and head over to Amanda’s desk, turning your back to him.

Why couldn’t you just fucking leave like you’d said you would? It’d be so much easier if you did just go back home but like everything else that came out of your mouth that was merely a half baked promise you had no intention of making good on.

And maybe Rafael should’ve called you this weekend, but he couldn’t swallow his pride and come back to you with his tail between his legs after you rejected the proposal he’d worked all his life to be able to give. You never called him either, but if this was going to go anywhere, someone would have to talk first.

But shouldn’t it have to be you? You’re the one who asked for space. He’s giving it. What the fuck else was he supposed to do?

But now that you’re not living with him, now that you’re not even with him at all, you’re completely unpredictable. Never in his wildest dreams did he think you’d come over to him and Sonny, flash him your best sardonic lipglossed smile, and ask to borrow Sonny for a moment.

Rafael can’t even think straight, he can barely breathe, the rage coming up like bile and tightening his throat. How could you stand there and act like nothing was different now?

“Sure,” he snaps.

“Whoa, no need for the attitude, Rafael,” you say sweetly. “We can all play nice, right?”

Rafael doesn’t say anything, can’t say anything… he just shakes his head and walks to Olivia’s office. How could you compartmentalize like that, he’d love to know. Wasn’t this killing you, too?

The rest of the day proves to go by smoother, thankfully, albeit minor annoyances that come up like a snippy altercation with Olivia due to both of their bad moods and a taxi driver haggling him about the fare. Rafael still cannot wait to come back to his office and savor his fourth cup of coffee today after running around the city all morning, put his feet up and do some paperwork…

But you’re there, in his chair, with your feet up on his desk.

“Get out,” Rafael says before you can utter a word.

“I want to talk,” you say innocently.

“I don’t. Get out. Who the hell let you in here?”

“Carmen, duh. She still thinks we’re together, apparently.”

“Do I have to call security?”

You stare at him blankly. “You’d really call security?”

Rafael rolls his eyes, throws his briefcase on a nearby chair. “What the hell do you want?”

“Where do we go from here?”

“Nowhere. You ended it.”

“Okay, no, I just said I needed space. I didn’t end it--”

“Right. I need to work.”

“Okay. We’ll meet later then,” you nod, standing up.

“I didn’t agree--”

“I’ll be back in a few hours. I got to head back to the precinct in fifteen minutes anyway.”

Rafael hates doing this, showing a moment of vulnerability, but he has to ask, “Are you staying? In New York, I mean.”

“For now,” you say, softening too. “Obviously. I talked to Liv for a long time, talked to my dad.. And… I don’t know if being back home is the best course for me either. I’m just trying to get back to some semblance of normal, you know?”

“Right.”

“I’ll see you,” you say, walking past him and leaving his office.

How many years would it be before he did figure you out?

The two of you don’t really talk much at first when you reunite later on that evening. Rafael draws the shades in his office, and it’s all pulling at clothes, at skin, at hair and you’re not proud of it but you also don’t really regret that you let it get that far. You missed him, in an annoyingly cloying way, and what was better than makeup sex when the two of you were still pissed off at each other?

“You need…. You need to go to therapy,” Rafael pants after coming down from his high.

You have to laugh at that. Maybe that was only the 7th most offensive thing someone had said to you after sex. And, annoyingly, he was right, even if his delivery and timing could’ve been light years better.

“Mm. I know,” you tell him, pulling him in to kiss him again, his sweaty chest sticking to your back as you pull off him to lay, or rather squeeze next to him on the couch.

“You need to--”

“Let’s not get into the shit I need to do right now, okay? I know I have things to sort out. So do you.”

“Right. I’m sorry. I’m trying to help, and I’m trying to understand, but--”

“Right now… don’t. Just fuck me like that again.”

Rafael chuckles - damn, it was only two days and you missed his laugh that much? It just tugs on your heartstrings in the worst way, but you suppose it proves how much you love him, how you couldn’t just put this down. You hated being the first to let your guard down, to bring yourself to his office not once but twice… but you couldn’t bear to lose him, either, and you’d hurt him where no one else had. It had to be you who offered a new start.

“I need to eat, mujer. And as tempting as that sounds… we need a change in location anyway.”

You nod in assent. “Fine.”

Neither of you get much sleep that night, as you split a bottle of wine and a pizza and talk, cry, fuck, whatever… but it’s a long sleepless night you wouldn’t have traded for the world. Things are different between you two, naturally, but something has to be shed to grow, and maybe you left some good things behind along with the bad things, but it’s how these things go. You can’t expect a relationship to be standing firm after a rejected proposal. For the moment, you’re just happy the two of you found a way to get back up.

As you curl into Rafael’s arms at four in the morning, you don’t feel at peace - lord knows you still have so many things to worry about - but you do feel better, and if that’s all you can get right now, you had to be okay with that.

3. Worst dream u have ever had? I had sleep paralysis but was imbetween that and a lucid dream. At first I was paralyzed and could see my bed but my eyes felt closed and open at the same time?? A giant dark demon looking dog had towered over me and began to tear at my neck. It looked and felt very real I started to try to scream and it felt like a scream was coming out but no sound exited. Then I went into a lucid dream where I was being chased by this dog and running for my life I was running by and nobody could save me nobody in the dream when it caught up to me I was back in my bed and it was trying to eat me again. I was so terrified I couldn’t sleep for a whole week.

Hello! know you're not a psychology major (unless I missed this fact) but i'm madly trying to understand why people ship the couples they do. As someone who just rewatched Gilmore Girls again I'm at a loss cause as much as i love jess and rory I can't let go of logan and rory either. I know there's obvious flaws with my choice but I suppose my question is why we all ship different couples in any TV universe? I love how articulate you are so figured you could explain it? Maybe? No pressure hehe.

You’re right in saying that wasn’t my major; it was English/Spanish. However, seeing as I’m a writer, a voracious reader, an inquisitive and introspective thinker (let’s be real: I get lost in my own head constantly; it’s ridiculous) as well as an unapologetic studier of literature and life, I have to admit that human psychology is a subject that’s always been of vast interest to me. I’m so endlessly fascinated by the multitude of things that make us who we are. From where we’re from, to the languages we speak, to what we know, what we hope to learn so we can grow, to the good or bad or plain weird experiences that shape us, to the things we like or dislike and whether or not we can articulate why, etc.--it’s such a complex and often contradictory thing. Like, how can I not want to sink into it with analytical teeth? Sifting through it all with a fine-toothed comb? IT’S IMPOSSIBLE. I’m always stuck in the throes of some psychological question.

The world is a well brimming over with such lovely distinction, with so much tangled singularity, that I feel like I’m stuck in this perpetual stasis of wonder, you know? Consciously I realize that I’ll never be privy to all the pieces of the puzzle but that doesn’t mean I don’t yearn to collect as many of them as I can find.

Idk. The point I‘m trying to make is that there’s nothing I love more than sitting down somewhere so I can observe nature, people, my surroundings. There’s such sweet satisfaction I derive from being able to ponder through questions - big, small, trivial, or existential - and it doesn’t matter a whit whether or not I decide to voice them out loud. Not to pun Pacey Witter here or anything but the simple act, the simple freedom, of giving myself leave to think and analyze is enough for me. 😂

To try and answer your question, I think the most concise all around cliché way would be to say that shipping is subjective. More specifically, though, I’d argue that our preferences for certain characters/ships tie into our own personal psychologies, and since, as humans, those are built into an elaborate tapestry that can parallel as much as they can oppose in our own psyche, then of course it would follow that it’d lead to intricacy in the shipping domain as well. None of us are wholly alike. None of us are simple, either. We can’t be because we all have our own individual thoughts, our own individual feelings, our own individual journeys. So while a point of relation may overlap in spots with another person’s, it’s only natural that it’ll diverge in a myriad of others just the same. And that’s totally okay! It’s why people are never boring. It’s why there’s no universal agreement over one ship, over one character vs. the other because we’re all responding to our own cues, our own histories, our own triggers or attractions. 

All of it is embedded in who we are, and sometimes, what we wish we could be if only we weren’t inhibited by other forces. There’s also a tendency to gravitate toward things/people we’d never want to encounter in our own day-to-day lives but are fun to imagine nonetheless. So why stop? Why not indulge our fancies? Let our imaginations run free! 

It’s more about the possibility than the reality anyway. They’re interesting to us BECAUSE we’re not like them, BECAUSE we’ll never experience that dynamic, BECAUSE it’s out of the ordinary. We want a “taste of the other side” without having to crossover ourselves. There’s as much of an allure to the unfamiliar as there is to the familiar. And fiction is a fantastic medium because it allows you to think about how it’d feel to shed your own skin, be someone else, do something different, all without needing to leave your seat or change who you already are. You just get to imagine. Wonder. Analyze all the nuances, all the subtleties. And that’s enough; it’s enough.

Mind you, I can’t speak for anyone but myself here.

I know that my relationship with fictional characters is juxtaposed. Messy. Downright illogical at times. There may be a character I love because she possesses qualities I have, recognize in myself, or flat-out lack; there may be another character I hate for the exact same reasons. Or vice versa. The same goes for ships. There are tropes that I return to again and again (friends-to-lovers, enemies-to-lovers, forbidden love, opposites attract, etc.) for a variety of reasons. Some of which are more subconscious than conscious. Or, you know, it might be as simple as me finding a pairing interesting because it’s so UNLIKE me, so unlike anything I’d ever want that I’m like “hey, let me zip up and try it on for size” because it’s cool to see things from a different point of view. 

We all do it. Imagination and creativity are at the bedrock of what make us human.

I also understand that my personal experiences and attributes play a big part in why I’m engaged by some storylines but disconnected from others, though it doesn’t add up to a perfect formula every time. Nor will it. I’m a complicated gal so my shipping preferences are bound to be complicated as well. Not to mention evolving...and evolving constantly.

I imagine it’s likely the same with everyone else.

Also, there’s no rule that says you have to let go of one ship in order to still love the other. You don’t have to choose between them. You don’t have to elevate one over the other, either. For me, it just so happens that Rory and Jess are OTP over Rory and Logan (though I do thoroughly ship/enjoy them as a couple); but that doesn’t mean it has to be the same for you. If you don’t want to let go, then don’t. Nobody has the right to try control what you do or think. We all have our own preferences because we have personal psychologies coming at them, attaching to the ships in our own subjective ways. Heck, we might not even know what they all are. Isn’t that great?

But, hey, who cares so long as we’re having a blast shipping our ships hard, right? ;)

Kubinashi would prefer she didn’t, but he’s also learned to pick his battles. (Plus Rihan and Kubinashi aren’t going to go bail the kids out, bc ya know…mafia/Yakuza and all…)

Who does the most cooking? - someone else, bc they are BOTH hot messes in the kitchen

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Wakana, but if it was home cooked, she’d have had lots of help from Kejoro or Setsura

Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Both — or takeout. If Wakana is tired from work, Rihan would have food waiting for her

Who is more likely to burn the house down accidentally while cooking? - Both, but slightly more Rihan

Chores, AU:

Who cleans the room? -  Wakana. Rihan gets distracted and wanders off.

How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - they do an average amount for the major holidays. Wakana has to help out with decor at the bar, so she’s kinda decorated out by the time she gets home. When they have kids they do more, though. 

What are their goals for the relationship? - For Wakana, it’s always and forever making Rihan smile and laugh. And Rihan wants her happy, so they’re just kind of…making each other happy, taking care of their family, enjoying life and not getting murdered

How do you feel about the latest chapter? With the Tou//Ken marriage, Tsuki//yama's reaction, a possible death flag raised for Tou//ka, and plenty of other things? I've really tried to be hopeful about everything that has been going on in the recent chapters. I've really tried to be hopeful and tell myself that Ishi//da is going to work everything out and that something WILL go down... Because it IS a tragedy manga, after all... Right? Regardless, everything is going completely downhill.

i feel you anon,, i want to be hopeful and believe that this is just the calm before a massive storm but i honestly dont want to delude myself only to end up disappointed, so i'll just keep reading and hope we can go back to our regular dose of suffering (remember when we were so caught up in tragedy that nobody had the energy for ship wars? i miss that)now onto the wedding; well it was obviously rushed (they talked properly for the first time like ~10 chapters ago, had sex about 5 chapters ago, and suddenly theyre getting married) like ive seen MANY rushed relationships in animanga but tou//ken takes the cake honestly. it makes me wonder if ishida died and was replaced or some shit because this is definitely not the tokyo ghoul i know (like even the poor attempts at foreshadowing... ishida was better than that???). ngl i thought their outfits looked kinda cool but like, not really suitable for a wedding?? ghouls arent some tribe that has never been in contact w/ humanity after all, and tsukiyama of all ppl (who was responsible for wedding shit, sigh) would know what a proper wedding dress looks like. or maybe he didnt want to see kaneki and touka in those and went for bdsm costumes instead lmao as for tsukiyamas reaction,, like honestly, i didnt expect him to be super angry or cry on the spot or whatever, knowing him he would smile through it all but i didnt want him to be the wedding planner, although it doesnt seem TOO out of place. tsukiyama changed tremendously and started valuing other people over himself to the point where he would give up certain things for them (perhaps to make up for his selfishness before) and like. its good and all but GOD I FEEL SO BAD FOR HIM.... i want him to be a lil more selfish!! like son please think of your own wellbeing more,,,, its difficult to tell what hes thinking too bc throughout the manga we've always gotten tsukiyamas thoughts along with his actions, but recently we don't know what he's thinking so i guess that also contributes to him seeming kind of ooc... like for all we know he could be BOILING inside and playing it off yknow. i dont wanna be hopeful and say ishida is preparing us for a plot twist involving him but idk... it'd be nice to have him be relevant again and about other things happening.. some plot points do interest me (the dragon thing which seems like a Shirazu Comeback™) but some are like. so random? for example that underground city with the one-eyed ghoul like where tf did that come from? and why was that plot suddenly pushed aside like everything else for some tou////ken shit? i feel like ishida could use the space he wasted on toeken interactions to shed light on more important matters, like perhaps have kaneki fucking TALK to all the other characters he has unresolved business with instead of dedicating an entire chapter to bad sex (god im still salty about that). that reminds me!!!! i really hate what ishidas doing with kanekis characterization where he tosses literally everyone he ever cared about aside (didnt even bother talking to mutsuki when he showed up at :re like biiiih yall spent the last 3 years together have some common decency, or where he called toeka his best friend, like whats with hide????? i dont even like hide that much but ishida doin him dirty) to highlight tou///kas presence in his life? and you just KNOW that this'll obviously end in her or the baby's death. its tragic how ppl are so ready to see their fave be reduced to a petty love interest for breeding a baby and later on dying for his Man Pain™ just cause their ship became canon,,, makes me think that they dont care abt tou/ka as a character but only as an accessory to kaneki lmao.. im sorry this got a lil long but i hope i could explain myself well OTL

One of my faves was actually to start Chapter 3, when we looked at the "villains" and the main guy was talking about how he didn't want them dead, more turned to his side. I liked the humanizing aspect of the antagonists.

As far as comedy goes, I liked the brief scene where Adelaide "winked"... maybe... because she could have been blinking and her hair was in the way.

Though I also liked the "cold feet" bit where Nefayn was laughing and Nassar didn't know. In particular it was sort of called back later when he was thrilled that she liked his jokes.

QUESTION 2. Unfortunately for Nefayn, she is cursed twice over both in body and magic. Who do you think cursed her with the first seal and for what reason? Could the culprit be Ezo considering she and Pella seemed to know Nefayn? Why was said culprit pursuing her? In other words, what are their long-term goals in using her? How powerful do you think Nefayn was before the first seal came to be? Now that Nefayn is sealed twice over to be all but human, how will this affect her helpfulness in a battle? Do you believe that Nefayn will be able to undo the seals eventually and return herself to her original form and power? If so, how might this affect her growing relationship with Adelaide?

im torn on the culprit issue. on the one hand ezo seems likely cause from her characterization that seems like something shed do. but on the other hand their army is kind of near the end of their campaign since pike's reach is the last one standing and they dont want to murder hobo them. so idk why theyd need nefayn. i kind of like to think theres something bigger gonna show up and pella and adelaide are gonna join forces to defeat it. and that whatever the it is is what's after nefayn. but that could be wishful thinking cause i always cheer for antagonist protagonist team ups when both are basically good dudes with different goals

A teamup would be pretty cool between the two groups. Maybe the West has been getting more organized than they realize, there was some mention of the latest attack being more of a ruse.

Part of me actually ships Ezo and Nefayn, in that sort of 'mortal enemies become friends' kind of deal. So I guess Adelaide ends up with the General's second in command? This was probably heresy to propose.

Here's a possibly related question, who keeps sending the evil things to attack Adelaide? Which makes her sleep with a sword? I don't think it's the general, he seems honourable enough to keep his distance after losing, at least for a while. Maybe it's the same person who did the thing to Nefayn.

QUESTION 3. Magic seems to be at the center of several other mysteries that are presented in the comic. What is Pike’s Reach’s past with magic regarding the mention of a catastrophe involving it? Is Pella onto something about everyone being Adelaide’s age? What might this have to do with the previous lord of Pike’s Reach and Adelaide becoming its lord? How might any of this relate to the fact that Nefayn appears to recall being at Pike’s Reach for a brief moment? There is also the issue of Pella’s missing uncle. What do you think happened to his uncle? How might Pella’s uncle be related to past or present events that occurred in Pike’s Reach? Lastly, will Pella ever discover the truth about his uncle?(edited)

ya know, since nefayn doesnt quite remember pike's reach outside of haziness, i wonder if theres some magical third seal that was meant to hide her own memories. a third seal set up by certain uncles.

idk. hard to say without an exact timeline. also without exact knowledge of their system of governance. like for example, education could just be an at home by parents thing. so no actual public institution for it. but i also dont know the cut off date. and maybe no all the old ppl are dead. more its just heavily skewed to one age group

QUESTION 4. Despite the romance and good feels in Pike’s Reach, they are the last fortress standing against the Eastern hordes. Do you believe Pella is genuine about his desire to unite the east to make the country a better place? Why do you think Pike’s Reach is so ardent about not uniting with the rest of the eastern lands? As time drags on, do you think Pella will give into his advisors and stop going so soft on Pike’s Reach? Will Ezo being injured drive them to it potentially? Alternatively, do you think Pike’s Reach and the Eastern hordes might join forces and put their differences aside for some reason? All in all, who do you think will emerge victorious?

Ezo's injury could do that (escalate things), since Pella seems to have that thing for her. Honestly, I don't quite see why he's so keen on the uniting to this extent... is it all ego? I mean, why not just be glad you've got 95% of the continent?

It might be interesting if they join forces though.

i actually dont know why pike's reach wouldnt want to unite with them to be honest. XD cause trade would be a nightmare at this point cause youd always have to try to skirt and sneak through the eastern horde lands. if the eastern hordes go to war with someone, land troops would be moved through pike's reach anyway. and to me it just seems pike's reach is more holding out for pride

but i guess tbf we dont know much about pella's country. maybe they eat babies and pike's reach has a strict no baby eating policy

Power Rangers review (I tried to keep it non-spoilery)

First, here are a few things I screamed out during the freaking movie (I actually tried to contain myself but....too excited):

“TWENTY ONE PILOTS!!!!!!”

*when Billy is shown arranging his colors and then he tells Jason to stop touching him* “Is he--no--wait--HE IS! Maybe...no....wait..yeah...I think he is...” *confirm Billy is on the spectrum* “He’s AUTISTIC!!!!!!”

“ALPHA!!!!!!”

“Spider-Man!”

“Krispy Kreme” 

“Oh, Zack my child”

“ugh this fucking gold poison ivy looking bitch”

“BILLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!”

*after credits scene* “omg...it’s...him...........”

okay, so.....it was epic. I loved it. I, a 23 year old, went with my 6 year old sister and we both enjoyed it.

They do cuss! so go with the young’uns if you’re okay with that 

Anywho, oh man like I don’t even know where to start. Billy (who was my fave as a kid) was not only black....he was also autistic. Holy hell when he admitted it on the fucking movie I almost screamed! In addition, Trini is definitely not straight (I think they hinted at her being gay). I think there’s more to Trini than they revealed, though. She mentions that she doesn’t know how to talk to her parents because they believe in “labels” but she doesn’t necessarily say what it is that she won’t reveal to her parents. It could be about her sexuality or her gender identity or maybe even both. It was interesting.

The characters, btw, were all great. Jason had his whole “I was the best but that’s not the life I wanted” stint going on, and I loved it. Billy, being autistic, was an outcast in his societal circles (ie school) and the only person he had connected to (his father) had passed away. Trini was also an outcast but in her own family. Zack was dealing with his sick mother. I really felt for him but I’d rather you watch him in action than me telling you his story. And, finally, Kimberly I enjoyed. They did the whole “cyberbullying” thing but from the bully’s pov. I don’t want to reveal any more but it was well done and it shed a whole different light on it (not that it’s right to do stuff like that...but...ugggh you’ll see)

Now, the dialogue. Omg....it was beautiful. The whole theater was cracking up. Sometimes it’d be the adults laughing their asses off and sometimes it’d be the littler ones dying of laughter. The way they talked, btw, was extremely realistic. Especially Billy. Idk, maybe it’s cuz I related to him more than the others but I felt that he was the most real. Imma give an example. 

When they were told they were Power Rangers, Billy’s first thought was something like “so we’re superheroes? Like Iron Man or Spider-Man cuz I got bit by a spider and--” Truthfully, that would be my first question, too. LOL! I loved Billy. But they do a lot of jokes in there, too. Some more adult-like and others for the whole fam.

Another thing, it had the best montage ever lol!!! The fucking fighting montage. Just watch it. 

Oh, the suits! I liked them. The fabric looked cool. The design was nice. The only thing I didn’t really like was Alpha’s design. He was much cuter in the show.

Finally, the references. So many. Even to outside shit!!! I mentioned the Marvel one up there, but there was a Transformers one, too. And, of course, there were old-skool references. The song, the zords...it was fun.

But, through it all, I think the best thing was that it brought me back to my six year old self. In fact, I forgot I was an “adult.” It was nice. Highly recommend it...totes would watch it again
