The Consolation Price

Personal A is a celebrity, who is sick of their agency’s pressure to conform to old values. They could’ve dealt with a lot of it for a lot longer … if they didn’t pressure them with THIS. So when A hears about a ridiculous invitation to someone’s graduation/birthday/ plus one at someone’s wedding… they spontaneously agree.

“It’s not like I can break a promise like that to a fan, now can I? That’s so rude and the event is at the end of this week.” Is what they tell the agency of course.

Person B, in sight of their graduation/birthday/a friends wedding just want to wallow for a night in their singleness. Of course their best friend helps them … by getting super drunk with them. At the height of the night, their friend suggests messaging different companies or even celebrities, cause

“What’s the worst that can happen? They don’t answer ! But at best they show up and it will be fun! And most likely you’ll get a consolation price like a free signed picture or some free candy!”

And thus they do so. Crafting these ridiculous messages is insanely hilarious for two drunken and lonely people with a bit too much wine. Wondering what the poor social media intern has to deal with when opening such a message or even picturing the face of the various celebrities when reading such a ridiculous text. Especially when it’s clearly written by someone drunk, considering they have nothing but a serious and kind reputation, dealing with the poshest of posh people on a daily basis.

Of course the next day it’s all but forgotten …

Until a couple days prior to the event they receive a bunch of rejections, consolation prices …. And the RSVP by THE celebrity crush of theirs. What the fuck.?!?!
