hey, you *should* think about jace being proud of his wizard child, who takes after arianwen's intellectual curiosity so much.

how smart and innovative she is, with how she's adapting spellwork to fit with the materials she doesn't have, instead of what he did, to get the materials.

but also, how he sees how hard she works, even if others dont or discredit her. magic may come easier to her, as the oracle, but she is still working for it, working to hone it. it's how jace wishes he could do magic. it's how arianwen did magic.

I'm sobbing so thank you. He would see all the good parts of Arianwen in her.

He would also see the fact that she never asked to be the Elven Oracle. He would see that she has innate magic that does not work the way that all these old wizard elves seem to think the oracle's magic should work (could the last oracle just get visions on demand?). He would see these things but he wouldn't put two and two together because Adaine definitely gets her brains and her mastery of magic from her mother.
