If the newsies got away with bringing back 1 stray dog to the lodging house, they'd be unstoppable, Kloppman doing the wake up call in the morning and there are multiple dogs camped out under beds, cooried up with the newsies, sprawled on the floor in between the beds. He's rather fond of a small scruffy grey dog that follows him about when the newsies are out selling their papers. Keeping them all fed may have been a slight issue but they manage, even if Kloppman mutters to himself he isn't running a rescue, that doesn't stop him from allowing at least 3 of the dogs to sleep at the bottom of his own bed 😂
