#dandy's doodles#inanimate insanity#ii#ii steve cobs#ii mephone#ii spoilers#ii 16 spoilers#objectober#objectober 2024#okay i'll be honest. the final drawing barely fits the prompt#however! it was inspired by it#'internet' immediately made me think of 'welcome to the internet' by bo burnham#and my mind instantly jumped to 'and it did all the things we designed it to do'#and y'know... steve cobs designed mephone to be able to create things#and so in a way mephone is fulfilling his purpose by creating the contestants#he's fulfilling his purpose by doing what his dad did#and then that made me think of the garden of eden story#where god creates both adam and the tree of knowledge#he tells adam not to eat its fruit and yet adam inevitably does; thus adam gains free will#and one has to wonder if that was god's intention all along - for humans to have free will#whereby adam - through the apparent defiance of god - is able to become exactly what he was created for#and y'know... mephone making his show as a rebellion against cobs...#only for that very show to be a creation borne of his intended purpose#so yeah. my mind jumped from bo burnham to the biblical creation of man#anyway!! very very happy with how this turned out#my favorite part is the charger snakes. i'm so glad i came up with that idea#also cobs' arm! that turned out really well! i referenced my own hand for his!!#in any event... it turns out i really really like biblical imagery and symbolism huh#also yes i did stay up all night like a maniac drawing this. the idea came to me and i just had to see it through :D i'm glad i did

They have a normal room where they play normal games instead of god games that would potentially end humanity. They have normal conversations about the weather outside

They do normal things like laundry. Except Yaldy doesn't have clothes he just cuts new pieces of sheet metal to attach to himself

now that i've taken in the entire show and am about to rewatch simply because i can............... i'm so pissed that dave erickson got fired because damn........
#i just think that s4 would have been insane.#i presume frank still would have wanted off the show and so naturally that chasm dave built between maddie and nick would've been... yea#idk- i think it would've been good tv. maybe. he doesn't talk too much on it but he says enough to give an impression.#i'm also inherently biased because he also said madison was the one character he saw making it all the way to the series finale#which ultimately. she does. but the story would have been much different for her. she would've felt More Madison#additionally.. of course there are characters born from the switch of writers that i'm glad we got and may otherwise have not got but....#i'd pay a pretty penny to have been able to see what dave had in store for the characters we had with us at the end of s3.#and to see what he would have done with 3b had he not wanted to wrap up certain loose ends of his creation before his departure.#the first 3 seasons of fear are the best ones. imo. for so many reasons. which i think had a lot to do with dave.#he separated ftwd from twd in big ways that i'm not going to get into but so much got jammed in s4-s8 that. it felt like the new writers#were mostly trying to pay homage to twd than to the characters and the story lines that made fear what it was. y'know.#the entire tone seemed to shift in the show. they subjected it to all the crazy time jumps. etc etc etc. which works in some ways on twd bu#they didn't do the same service to ftwd.#maybe that's just me.#dave Got the vision.#and i think it would've been really beautiful to get to see him ride it out (even if for another season or two)

I'm literally good at writing TUA. Several commentors told me so. Fanfiction quivers before me.
#I would qualify this with “only my faves that I have plenty of experience writing!”#HOWEVER#I went out of my way to write a little flash fiction piece where I jumped around all seven perspectives#and people seemed to like it#apparently I made someone cry with the part about ben from diego's pov? which. okay#like I'm glad it touched them but a bit of an unexpected dynamic for me to somehow make evocative#my favourites are klaus five and allison. on my five and allison fic someone told me to just write for the show which has been held#near and dear to my heart ever since#to be frank I don't KNOW if I'm good at writing klaus#but I'm not gonna let that stop me#the others are. there. I allegedly do fine with them#I do better than canon in any case

We're nowhere near CLOSE to Jesper's backstory and yet just hearing Kaz call Jesper a Durast, seeing him make the key, and watching Alina talk to the Zemeni woman who referred to herself as zowa and blessed instead of Grisha... I am in near tears.

rereading my past crk works just made me realise my impact on the crk writing community
#it made me remember that there were people who actually started their own writing blogs because of my works.......#i'm so glad i found the crk writing community 😭 during my recovery from whatever happened in genshinblr 2021#it helped and healed me so much. to have a community that really loved and looked up to me#going there after being in genshinblr was like jumping out of a boiling pot and being coddled and wrapped up in blankets#and i'm a little sad and guilty for being inactive in it now because of my lost interest#and i know it will be hard for me to ever repay my thanks to the community that healed me mentally#this is a private thank you to cookiewriteblr 2022 and the people who genuinely cherished me there <3
