171. I have a problem with Jace and clary’s acting and their facial expressions. I DONT KNOW WHY IT BOTHERS ME

I don’t know if it’s because I’m so used to the talent Matt and Harry have but clary and Jace always seem to be doing it in such an extra way. like with Magnus and Alec, their expressions are subtle and I don’t feel as if they take over the scene. I don’t know if I’m making any sense but these ones are just over the top

173. also, if you think about it, these two met just a few days ago. Magnus wasn’t crying on the floor or whatever when Alec told him he wasn’t interested. I know it’s not the same but whatever. like even the way Magnus and Alec look at the wedding, it doesn’t ruin or take over the scene in a way

174. I don’t know if it bothers anyone but it makes it hard to take it serious and actually enjoy the scene. it’s too over the top for me

175. and are we supposed to be sold on their epic romance or whatever? I don’t think they have that much chemistry to begin with. I’m a biased Malec fan and they CREATED chemistry but I don’t see it work jace and clary.

176. also Alec should’ve let her go. what they needed to do with clary was send her problematic ass to idris. let them deal with her. I could see a whole rebranding of the show. take away what was in the books and create different storylines. Jace isn’t worth it and isn’t worth being a main character, literally anyone else deserves the gift she was given, and there are so much more interesting characters.

Maia, Simon, Raphael, ragnor, Catarina, if they had a few episodes going back in time and I’m talking Jem, Tessa if they changed her, Will if he was changed, more Gabriel, Gideon, Alastair, Thomas, Mathew like there are so much worthy characters. and I know it’s hard to add the prequel characters but there was so much more content they could have used or came up with (and I also realize they didn’t have those rights but I just wish the books had a different writer)

177. the whole jace always needs saving was a tiresome nightmare. it was old the first time and the second and the third. like I don’t genuinely understand how book fans exist (y’all are allowed to exist) but the stories are so fucking repetitive. you can seriously predict the whole of TMI. and it’s okay to be a fan but when y’all defend them to the highest superior power and treat CC as some god, it’s really weird

178. and the show made clear they weren’t going to follow the storylines from the books completely. Im just saying this show would’ve been much more if the CLACE shit got cut. there’s no need for them to be the focus when there are downworlders out there and more exciting and fascinating shadowhunters

179. it’s just how I feel and I understand a lot of people won’t agree especially the ones devoted to the books. but I’ve said this before: the series could’ve been better in the hands of an author who actually cared about all the characters and not their basic, insufferable incest, insert favs. the fact that Malec stole the show and was the fan favorite is an example of this. this is what happens when the writers actually care about other characters who aren’t jace and clary

180. and we didn’t need 6 books of jace needing saving, and at least the show tried to switch it up as best as they could. me if I was in charge: (not sure the show or movie but I WAS LIKE ME AS FUCK)

As cameras becomes more normalized (Sarah Bernhardt encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use cameras because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by manufacturing companies. I paint not because I want a painting but because I love the process of painting. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.
