Funny Anecdotes from the Bangalore Real Estate Scene
The Case of the Missing Plot
A friend of mine once found the perfect plot in Bangalore. It was love at first sight. However, when he went back to finalize the deal, he couldn't find it! Turns out, his 'perfect plot' was actually someone’s vegetable garden. Moral of the story: Always double-check the address!
The Great Bangalorean Bargain
Another time, I overheard a negotiation that went something like this:
Buyer: "I want a discount. Your price is too high!"
Seller: "Sir, this is Bangalore. The only discount you'll get is on traffic fines."
Making the Final Decision
Pros and Cons
Let's sum up the pros and cons of buying an open plot in Bangalore:
Pros:
Customizable construction.
High investment potential.
Pleasant climate and vibrant culture.
Cons:
High initial investment.
Navigating legal complexities.
Dealing with traffic (it's worth mentioning again).
A Personal Touch
When I bought my plot in Bangalore, I was overwhelmed with choices. But what sealed the deal for me was the thought of Sunday morning jogs in a nearby park and the idea of hosting barbecues in my backyard. It's these little dreams that make the process worthwhile.
Conclusion
Investing in an open plot in Bangalore is like planting a seed for your future. With the right location, budget, and a sprinkle of patience, you can watch your dreams take root and grow. Whether you're looking to build a home, start a business, or simply invest, Bangalore's real estate market offers a fertile ground for growth. So, take the plunge, embrace the journey, and who knows? You might just find your piece of paradise in the bustling yet charming city of Bangalore.

me lámh le do lámh - Part III
First | Previous | Next | Masterpost
The journey to Oxenfurt flew past even as it crawled. The closer he got to his destination, the more he found he was able to shrug off his worries and focus on his reunion with Jaskier. He hadn’t seen the bard in months, and he found his heart quickening in his chest as he finally crested the final hill and looked down upon the city of Oxenfurt.
He’d arrived in the small hours of the morning, just as the sun was starting to peak over the horizon. The water beneath Western Bridge was white gold in the dawn light, small fishing boats making their way down the channel and back to the harbor, ready to sell the first catch of the day. The red shingles of the cramped houses stood out sharply against the grey-green backdrop of the surrounding countryside, layered like some wild confection. To the south, the university sprawled on its own island, its tall towers piercing the early morning mist. Geralt had to push his way through the western gate, fighting for space amongst merchants and traders making their way to the markets that would be opening up in the main square. After so long on the road the smells and sounds of the city bombarded him, but Oxenfurt was nearly as familiar to him now as Kaer Morhen, and he let it all wash over him as he made his way towards one of the cheaper inns.
His intention had been to make his way directly across the southern bridge and into the academy grounds, but he’d arrived earlier than expected and Jaskier tended to be a bit of a late riser when he could be. So instead he got a room and set Roach up in the stables, giving her a good brush down, and packed away his gear. The rest of the morning, he spent restocking his supplies in the market, picking up the herbs he couldn’t easily find on his own and trading some of the goods he’d brought from the north for things he would need over the summer; a new linen shirt, salt for preserving meat, vodka.
Finished with his shopping, he set his mind to breakfast. There was a woman with a stall off of the main market selling baked goods, and Geralt remembered her from when he’d last been to Oxenfurt. He picked up a roll stuffed with warm cabbage and beef, and then doubled back a minute later to buy another, this time swirled through with cinnamon and coated in a sweet honey glaze.
Finally judging the sun high enough in the sky, he headed for the nearest fountain to refill his waterskin, only to be greeted by a familiar voice ringing out through the open courtyard.
Oxenfurt prided itself on its beauty, its history and monuments. The city was a tapestry of rich timber and clean brickwork, of statuary large and small which lined the streets and stately buildings with stunning relief work. The fountains were no exceptions; this one was set against the north side of the square, its semicircular base filling with water from half a dozen spouts set into the mouths of bronze fish. Geralt had no doubt that the entire effect—the square, the fountain, the white stone of the surrounding buildings—was stunning. But his eyes were drawn inexorably towards the sound of lute strings, and the beauty of the masterwork around him couldn’t help but pale in comparison to the man sitting on the raised lip of the fountain.
Jaskier’s hair was shorter than he’d last seen it, not windswept and overlong from months on the Path, and his clothes were cleaner and more lavish than he typically dressed on the road. Though his doublet was scandalously open to his midriff, Geralt had no doubt that it was of the latest fashion. As he approached, he saw Jaskier’s slim fingers fly deftly over the frets of his lute, his voice raised to overlay a bright melody over the simple notes. There was no hat or blanket laid out to catch coins; Jaskier was playing only for himself, it seemed.
Geralt didn’t want to interrupt, but in the end he didn’t have to. Jaskier looked up when he was still halfway across the courtyard, as if he could sense Geralt’s presence. Their eyes met, and Geralt felt relief swim through him as he realized that the bard seemed unchanged from the last time he’d seen him. Jaskier’s face lit up as his shocked expression turned into a grin, and Geralt could see the now ever present crow’s feet deepen around his eyes.
“Geralt!” Jaskier called, not bothering to stand. Geralt made his way through the rest of the square, the bundle of rolls held close to his chest as he pushed through the river of people. He stopped when he was no more than a foot away, finding himself smiling down at the bard. “Fancy meeting you here,” Jaskier said with a wink, brilliant in the morning sun. Fuck, but Geralt had missed him.
“Was gonna look for you at the university. Glad I found you here,” he said by way of greeting. “So short on coin you’re back to busking?”
Jaskier waved a hand, dismissing Geralt’s teasing. “I just wanted some sun, now that winter has finally deigned to withdraw her icy grasp. I was thinking of perhaps going to find something to eat at the market—”
Geralt held out the sweet roll. Jaskier raised his eyebrows, surprised and clearly pleased. Geralt felt warmth spread through his chest at the look. “Figured I’d find you only just out of bed,” he explained, offering Jaskier a thin smile. “You do need your beauty sleep.”
Jaskier gasped in faux injury even as he accepted the roll from Geralt’s hands, still wrapped in wax paper. Geralt sat down beside him, letting his pack fall to the ground as he unwrapped his own roll. It was still warm, soft from the juices of the meat inside. “As if I have ever been anything less than absolutely resplendent,” Jaskier said through a mouthful of roll. Geralt privately had to agree. Out loud he only hummed, noncommittal.
They spent the morning in unhurried company, Geralt giving Jaskier news of their friends still in the north—“Ciri missed you,” he said, and didn’t say I missed you, too—and Jaskier recounting his winter adventures. Apparently he had been privately tutoring a young lady in a court a few days south of Oxenfurt, the child of an old friend. Geralt bit his cheek to avoid asking if it was just a friend, or if Jaskier had spent the winter in the bed of an old flame. It wasn’t his place to ask those sorts of things.
They didn’t head towards the university immediately—Geralt had already stowed his things at the inn, which Jaskier admonished him for. “You could have stayed with me of course,” he said with a roll of his eyes, and Geralt was breathless with it. Even after all this time, he could never truly wrap his mind around the fact that Jaskier wanted him around, would willingingly open his home to Geralt whenever he settled in one place. But the inn was already paid for and Geralt’s things packed away, so they were neither burdened by supplies as they wandered around the city. Geralt carried Jaskier’s lute on his shoulder, the weight of it settling almost as comfortably familiar as his swords.
He’d been to Oxenfurt dozens of times, but he always enjoyed seeing it through Jaskier’s eyes. The bard noticed things, like the new tailor on the corner of the main square, or that someone new had taken over an old market stall, or the new flowers sitting on someone’s stoop. All things that Geralt would have let wash past him. Everything felt new when Jaskier was with him, more vibrant when painted in his words.
Eventually Jaskier suggested that they head back, so that he could get appropriately dressed for the afternoon. He had planned, apparently, to play at a tavern close to the inn Geralt was staying in, though Geralt suspected that he’d had no such arrangements. It wouldn’t matter; Jaskier was popular enough that all he had to do was show up somewhere and people were begging him to play. Assuming he hadn’t slighted the owners of the establishment somehow. It was only early afternoon, but Jaskier gave him a sheepish grin when Geralt asked about the early retreat.
“I’m not quite packed,” he laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I didn’t think you’d be back on the Path until at least three weeks from now. You always seem so reluctant to leave Ciri.”
Geralt could feel his face tingling with the ghost of a blush, and he scrambled for some kind of explanation that wouldn’t feel incriminating. “I, uh. I’m looking into something. Needed to see Triss.”
Jaskier’s eyebrows rose with interest as he pushed open a side gate in the Oxenfurt walls, leading them onto the campus. Geralt liked it here; it always smelled of rich plant life because of the well kept gardens, and the population was regulated enough that it was generally quieter than the rest of Oxenfurt. All the people smelled of ink and vellum and soft scented oils, and it never failed to remind him of Jaskier. “Is it about Ciri?” Jaskier asked.
“Hmm,” Geralt allowed, thoughts racing. “In… a way.”
Jaskier stopped short, trapping Geralt behind him in the narrow alley they found themselves in. His face was a mask of concern. “Is she alright?” he asked, brow furrowed.
Geralt nodded, waving a hand as if to wipe Jaskier’s worries from the air. “She’s fine, it’s not like that.”
Jaskier huffed out a breath and gave him a stern look before turning to continue down the cobbled path, leading them into the main courtyard of the university. “Don’t do that to me, witcher,” he admonished. “I have a delicate constitution, I can’t handle a scare like I used to.”
“Ah,” Geralt said, pleased with the easy segue. “That’s… sort of the problem.”
Jaskier stopped again, halfway through the doorway that led to the apartments reserved for professors. He blinked at Geralt, once, and said, “Well what in the devil is that supposed to mean?”
Geralt sighed, pushing Jaskier the rest of the way into the building. It was old, as with all of Oxenfurt, wood musty with age and heavy with the scent of the polish that they used on the brass fixtures. The interior was dark and musty, but Geralt’s eyes easily adjusted to the gloom. He forced himself not to chuckle at the way Jaskier’s eyes immediately squinted at him, slower to adapt to the shade after being out in the daylight. “Ciri is… She missed you. She’s—we’re all worried about, well, your.” He stopped, trying to find a word that wouldn’t come off as immediately insulting. “Mortality.”
“Geralt of Rivia,” Jaskier said, in a tone that suggested Geralt had missed the mark, “are you suggesting that I am old?”
Geralt winced. “Uh. Maybe we should talk about this upstairs.”
“Oh no, I think we should talk about it right here,” Jaskier said, crossing his arms over his chest and sticking out his chin. The posture was so familiar it made Geralt’s chest ache even as he knew he was about to get taken to task. “Has Yennefer been on about my crow’s feet again? She’s delusional. My skin is flawless.”
It wasn’t, though. Geralt could see the fine lines spreading from around his eyes and mouth even in the dark, the way his hair was less lustrous than it used to be, thinning at the temples. How slowly he moved, how loudly his knees popped when he stood up after sitting for too long. “You look fine,” was all he said out loud. “But Ciri’s lost enough people already. I’m worried about what it would do to her, to lose someone else.”
Jaskier visibly deflated, sticking his lower lip out to blow his fringe out of the way. After a moment, he said, “I’m not planning on dying anytime soon, Geralt.”
And he knew that, he did, Jaskier probably had decades left to live, but— “She’s probably going to live as long as any witcher. I don’t want her to be alone.” As he said it, Geralt realized the truth of the statement. His desire to slow Jaskier’s aging process was a selfish one, but he wasn’t lying about Ciri. Losing Jaskier would be an intense blow to the girl, after already losing one family. She had so few people left in the world who truly cared for her.
Jaskier smoothed a hand down over his face, shifting so that he was leaning one arm against the railing of the staircase. “She has you, and Yennefer, and all of your brothers,” Jaskier said. His lips were pressed tightly together, and even though his eyes had eased from their squint as they adjusted to the dim light, he was looking away from Geralt. “I imagine I’ll fade away easily enough, after a few years.” He said it softly, almost to himself, and Geralt felt all the breath leave him at once at the statement.
“No,” he said, too quickly, one hand coming up automatically to grip Jaskier’s shoulder. Blue eyes turned back on him, wide with surprise. “You won’t.” He didn’t know what else to say, how to make Jaskier understand his own magnitude in their lives—Ciri’s life—his life, without giving away too much. Words were woefully insignificant.
Jaskier brought one hand up to rest over Geralt’s, his lips relaxing into a smile. “Flattering,” he said, lightly teasing. “But anyways, you know Ciri will always have you and Yen.”
“We lead dangerous lives,” Geralt argued, his hand prickling under Jaskier’s palm. “I can’t stop walking the Path, and neither can my brothers. Any year we might not come back. And Yennefer is… she’s made a lot of enemies over the years. Nothing is set in stone.”
“I know you’re worried about this,” Jaskier said slowly, “but there’s nothing to be done about it. Any of you could die at any time, sure, but that’s life.”
“I need to know you’ll be around,” Geralt insisted. “I need to know that you won’t just… die on us.”
Jaskier huffed, removing his hand from Geralt’s and placing it on his hip. “Well, I don’t know what to say. It’s a reality we’ll all simply have to adjust to, unless you’ve suddenly found the secret to immortality.”
Geralt shifted awkwardly in place. Jaskier stared.
“You are not serious—” Jaskier started as Geralt said, “Listen, just hear me out.” Jaskier continued to talk over him, and Geralt sighed up at the ceiling as the tirade began.
“Hear you out?” Jaskier spluttered, incredulous. “Oh, I’m listening, Geralt, because this had better be a damn good one. You can’t show up after being away all winter and call me old and then tell me you want to make me immortal! I will not be subjected to witcher poisons or mages’ spells just because you’ve suddenly had a realization about the inherent dangers of your occupation.”
“It’s not—I’m not going to poison you, Jaskier,” Geralt said, aghast.
If anything that made Jaskier look even more suspicious. “If this is some curse Yennefer wants to put on me I will not allow it. I have heard plenty of horror stories about the transformation process for mages, and I will not be risking the loss of my critical bits.”
“It’s a ritual—”
“That’s worse!” Jaskier exclaimed. “Geralt, we’ve worked half a dozen different contracts that were botched immortality rituals. It went badly, so very, very badly, every time, and now you want to try it because you’re worried about my wrinkles? I’m not even fifty!” He flung his arms out to the side and dropped them sharply, breathing a little heavily.
“You said you don’t have any wrinkles.”
Jaskier glared at him. Geralt sighed.
“It’s not like that,” he explained, sliding his hand down to take Jaskier’s elbow so he could lead them up the stairs. This conversation would be so much easier over a glass of wine. Or better yet, a few shots of vodka. “It should be safe. The elves used to use it all the time to prolong the lifespans of humans.”
Jaskier allowed himself to be moved, shuffling in an awkward half walk up the stairs as he tried to continue the conversation. Geralt let his hand fall away, and his palm was warm where they’d touched. “If it’s so safe and easy, why doesn’t everyone do it?” Jaskier asked.
“It’s… not common knowledge,” Geralt hedged. “And you have to have someone with a long lifespan willing to take part in the ritual.”
“So how did you find out about it?” Jaskier said, tone accusative. “What’s the ritual, exactly?”
“I went to Triss. It’s—” He stopped, casting about for the right words. How to explain, without giving away too much? “It’s an elven ritual, used to… prolong human life spans. It involves tethering the human to an elf, originally. And then the… connection extends the human’s life to closer to that of an elf.” He opened his mouth again, hesitating on the edge of telling Jaskier exactly what the elves used the ritual for. And then he thought about how Jaskier would smile as he dismissed the issue, unconcerned, and Geralt bit back the words. His stomach rolled at the omission, but he couldn’t work up the courage to place this tender thing in Jaskier’s hands only to be crushed.
They reached the top of the stairs, and Jaskier pushed quickly ahead, towards his own rooms. The hall was dimly lit, the occasional window offering slivers of muddled daylight into the passage. Geralt followed after, his footsteps echoing against the stone.
Jaskier pulled a heavy bronze key out of his pocket, frowning as he fit it into the lock. “I don’t know, Geralt. I’m not saying your heart isn’t in the right place,” he said, not looking up. “I’m honestly flattered you would want me around enough to go through all this trouble. But we both know I’m not worth the risk, and this kind of spell, you know they can be—”
Geralt reached out as Jaskier went to push the door open, catching his wrist. The bones there were so delicate, fragile enough that Geralt knew he could snap them without a thought. His hold was as gentle as he could make it. “Jaskier,” he said softly, imploring.
Finally Jaskier looked at him, lips drawn tight. “I don’t want you to regret something like this,” Jaskier said tightly.
“I wouldn’t,” Geralt said, still holding Jaskier’s wrist like a bird in his hand. “I won’t. Can you just… trust me on this?
Jaskier stopped, giving him an unreadable look for a long moment. Finally he sighed. “If you’re sure,” he said, searching Geralt’s face for something. Geralt couldn’t have said what. His fingers burned. Eventually Jaskier must have found what he was looking for, because he suddenly smiled. “I suppose it would be remiss of me to turn down the opportunity for semi-immortality, as you say it. Imagine the heights of artistic mastery I could reach with another fifty years under my belt!”
Geralt rolled his eyes even as relief swept through him. “Of course you would think of that,” he grumbled.
He released Jaskier’s hand, and the bard pushed open the door to his suite. It looked much the same as Geralt remembered it from previous visits. Two rooms, the door to the bedroom ajar just enough to see the end of the bedpost, which had a doublet hanging from it. The main room functioned as a study and parlor, with a low couch and a desk off to one side. Jaskier tended to be fastidious on the road, both with his things and his own personal hygiene, but when he returned to roost at Oxenfurt Geralt found that he let his tidy habits slip. Books and scrolls covered the desk, the couch, and several low shelves, as well as a few spots on the central rug. A few of them were dangerously close to the fireplace. Empty and half full cups of tea and glasses of wine were scattered about. When Jaskier fell into research or writing he didn’t tend to remember basic things like cleaning or fire hazards.
“Sorry for the mess,” Jaskier said breezily, with the assuredness of someone who knew their companion had seen worse. And it was true; this wasn’t even half as bad as Geralt had found it at times, pushing his way into the suite to retrieve Jaskier from a month-long academic fixation.
Jaskier walked over to a waist high cabinet against the western wall of the room and opened it to reveal a honeycomb structure threaded with wine bottles. He produced what looked to be a bottle of Est Est and turned to Geralt, pulling the cork out with his teeth. As the witcher watched, he poured a sizable amount into a mostly clean glass and threw himself down on an unoccupied space on the couch. “Alright,” he said, after swallowing a mouthful of the wine. “Tell me how this is going to work.”

Omg have u seen the Scarlet werewolf thing??? I wonder what it means, maybe it really is just referring to its colour or maybe it’s actually Penny’s friend. But she can see thestrals can’t she? So maybe she is dead but who knows.
Oh yeah, I saw it. That definitely peaked my interest. I've really been missing Penny For Your Thoughts, it's the quest that made me actually start to like Penny way back when. I hope this means they're going to bring it back, and potentially even give it a sequel, perhaps? Or maybe they'll just reboot the whole thing and expand it into a full TLSQ. I'm fine with that too.
See, the thing is, that title is not simply referring to the wolf's coloring. It's most definitely a reference to Penny's old friend. Why am I so sure? Because of the spelling. "Scarlett" as a name, can be spelled with one or two "T"s, but the word, the color itself, only has one. According to the datamine, this wolf is referred to as "Scarlett Werewolf" with two "T"s. So yeah, it's her. Or it's at least a reference to her.
It's a tricky question, because among other things, Scarlett was a muggle. Can muggles even be converted into Werewolves? I'm not at all sure that they can. If nothing in the canon specifically says otherwise, then they might go in that direction...but it does say that muggles die from werewolf attacks more often than wizards and witches. That begs the question, however, what happens to the ones who survive? Do they recover with no lasting effects? Or are they turned?
Penny's ability to see Thestrals isn't a dealbreaker for me. I can't even remember, was she ever confirmed to be able to see them in Year 6, like when we had the Care of Magical Creatures lesson on them? I honestly don't recall. But they had a perfect opportunity to bring this up, to reference Scarlett, by including Penny in the Thestral SQ. But even though she had a plotline ready-made for it, this was like, the one creature quest they didn't put her in.
Even if she can see them, I don't think that means much. Because A) It's quite possible that she doesn't even remember Scarlett's death, depending on player choices. (Though this doesn't seem to be the canon route.) B) There's every possibility that she can see Thestrals due to another, unrelated incident. And C) It's also possible that she didn't directly witness Scarlett's death. That she looked away or something.
Generally speaking, and this does get into speculative head-canons about the exact nature of Thestrals...but I don't think that's how they work anyway. I think it's less about witnessing the death and more about experiencing that loss, feeling that grief. I said it back when the "Rowan is alive" theory was making the rounds - I don't think it matters if a person actually dies, only if the witness believes the person died, and believes this to be what they saw. The ability to see Thestrals has always been a metaphor for the acceptance of death anyway.

Unpopular Opinion: Haywood Edition
I’m sorry, I just started playing Year 6 (on chapter 4) and I already can’t stand almost everyone.
Especially Penny and Beatrice. Beatrice especially.
Granted, the thing about me is that I try my best to look at both sides of the story.
But I feel how I feel at the end of the day.
Das it.
If you don’t wanna read, that’s cool. Just don’t attack me about it. We can have a conversation if you like but don’t jump down my throat about them. Without further ado, my unpopular opinion.
FYI: This might be a bit long.
Yo, why is it that our character has to play therapist between these two sisters (I can say the same thing about EVERYONE but that’s for another post for another time).
I understand the struggle that exists there.
Bea was trapped in a portrait for nearly a whole year and Penny nearly worried her hair out over her.
But, excuse you, don’t point your frustration at me.
Granted, Penny should understand that Bea can’t simply go back to the happy, carefree version of herself after getting trapped in a portrait. Change is VERY likely to happen.
Did I expect her to turn into the Hufflepuff version of Ismelda?
Not even close.
But Ismelda isn’t so much of a bad person. Yes, she has dark tendencies but it’s not like she killed someone already. She just has her own likes and preferences. Mind you, at first I didn’t like Ismelda too much but eventually she grew on me. If you’ve done the Crushed SQ, the O.W.L.S. TLSQ, and even the Sphnix Club TLSQ, you see that she’s not so bad.
Funny even.
Plus, I highly doubt she would put Bea in harms way. It’s not like Ismelda is torturing creatures and cutting herself in front of her.
With Penny seeming to know information through streams of gossip for damn near everyone, I half expected her to suspect another side to Ismelda. You know, don’t judge a book by its cover?
But I digress.
Beatrice.
Beatrice. Beatrice. Beatrice.
How much pre-teen angst can you hold in that little body of yours?
Honestly, distancing yourself from Penny isn’t working if she’s gonna constantly plant herself in front of you. Yes, she’s one of the most popular girls at Hogwarts ever since her first year. She can entertain herself with anyone that’s everyone’s attention.
But is everyone her sibling? No.
The fact that you two were so close and then for you to suddenly cut her off like that wouldn’t mean anything to her doesn’t help matters.
Then you wanna tell me to tell your sister to leave you alone? I’m sorry, I’m confused.
When did we start playing telephone and why wasn’t I informed?
Because I didn’t ask nor do I want to play.
Go tell her yourself!
Then later, you go on to say to break this year’s curse faster this time, as I was just taking my sweet time last year just living my best life.
You know, it’s not like I’m also a student who has to worry about her future and been constantly been told by the Headmaster to stay away from the Curse Vaults and let the adults handle it.
Or I have a year long detention after saving the school from another curse and got no real thanks for it.
OR I had to turn the castle on its head to get a stupid portrait, train to take on this new curse vault, FIGHT A DRAGON, been betrayed by a professor (I never trusted Rakepick BTW) and could’ve been killed, seen two of the Unforgivable Curses in the same year, been abandoned by my only sibling who I spent seven years hoping to find him and still, ya know, be student.
I DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS LIFE!
My character did not ask to be dub as this ungrateful school’s protector and I’m not even an official Curse-Breaker. I’m not getting paid for this shit.
Granted, I know she doesn’t want other people to experience what she went through. Being caught up in a curse is nothing short of traumatizing event in one’s life. For you to come out fine would probably make some people wonder what’s wrong with you.
But again, I’m still a student. I can’t simply drop my studies at the drop of a hat and immediately figure out how to break the next curse.
And AGAIN: TALK TO YOUR DAMN SISTER!
Tell her how you really feel and KEEP ME TF OUT OF IT!
And keep the pre-teen angst to yourself, PLEASE.
When I saw a clip where we have to take Beatrice to the Black Lake with us or she rat us out to Dumbledore, I slapped my forehead.
Like little girl, didn’t you say to “break the curse faster this time”? You are literally slowing me down because now I have to babysit you.
All because you want to have a rush of breaking the rules. Do you think this is a fucking game?
I’m breaking the rules because I have to. Not for shits and giggles.
And Penny: don’t blame me for taking your sister to a potentially dangerous situation when she forced herself on me. If anything, you should be mad at her. Not me.
I was starting to dislike Penny because of how often Jam City is throwing her at me, but this behavior...
I wouldn’t take this shit laying down if I had the chance to adjust my character’s personality myself.
Like damn, it’s not like I have a whole brother missing. Not like I’m not sad or upset that he left me and I have clue if the man is dead or alive.
Why am I involved in another pair of sibling’s issues?
-Sighs- This is only the beginning. Lord have mercy

Hey, have you seen the new valentine’s day sq added to year 5 in hphm? I haven’t seen any datamine yet, maybe if you knew anything about it you could share the information? In that case, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts too 😊
Yes, I have seen it! And I’ve seen datamine, too. Usually, I don’t mind talking spoilers, yet I don’t really share it. I don’t know, it’s just a weird thing of mine that I don’t like to be a source of that. HOWEVER, since it’s not for the main story and dating spoilers are leaking pretty fast anyway… Here’s your warning for spoilers for the upcoming Valentine’s Day TLSQ! I’ll try to not spoil everything, but I will discuss the main events.
You’ve been warned.
About SPOILERS.
You’re still here? Great.
In short, the quest is about Gilderoy Lockhart who “randomly” chooses some of the students from Hogwarts to help him prepare a special Valentine’s event. The chosen ones are: MC, Penny, Merula, Barnaby, Andre, and Talbott. And since it IS Valentine’s Day, they decide that one should bring a date for the occasion. The majority of the quest is about preparation for that special event, everyone has assigned tasks, and MC coordinates the whole thing. But they also notice at some point that there’s something off…
As for my thoughts, I have to admit that it’s a pretty interesting quest – and I’m talking here about the involvement of Lockhart. It’s obviously fanservice, but I’m totally buying the idea behind it. It’s way better executed than Fenrir Greyback or even Remus Lupin, in my opinion, for sure. That being said, I can’t say I like it. And ironically, it’s because of a dating element. I just don’t like the idea that a good story, which could work perfectly fine on its own, requires your MC to get involved in romantic interactions – especially that the datable options keep being limited.
I have a similar problem with the Celestial Ball, too. That quest mostly about our friends and helping them overcome their insecurities, but then you have to pick a date to complete it – and it’s a shame, in my opinion. If you ask me, they should do romantic content as it was done with the “First Date” TLSQ, meaning the quest is about dating from the start to the end. If you’re not interested in dating for any reason, you’re not missing anything (well, except new hairstyle, outfit, and the most decent-looking makeup options, but oh well…). Otherwise, they should be including a route where MC participates in the events single.
Another thing that I don’t really like is the fact that all the characters declare having a crush on MC. Basically, they all tell in a private conversation that they’d like to be MC’s date, and by the end, MC has to decide who will be “the lucky winner”. And if I’m being honest, it feels kind of weird to me. I don’t know, maybe that’s just me… I know a teenage life involves some drama, but I don’t necessarily want to take a part in a situation where Andre prepares the outfits for everyone, pretty much tells that he fancies you, and then you go on a date with Talbott, for example. You can say that it was similar in the “First Date” since no matter who you choose, they all say they hoped to be your crush. However, the difference is that you don’t know that based on a single playthrough – meaning that it doesn’t have to be true within it. I simply think it’d be better if they limited romantic declarations to characters you actively chose that you’re potentially interested in (so something like when you chose for the first date different person than the one you for the Celestial Ball).
To sum up, they took a cool idea I wasn’t really expecting to see, but I think it’d be better as a more neutral story.

It was an accident! (Part 1)
Summary: Who knew what one cauldron may cause problems? And probably not only problems.
Characters: Y/N Y/L/N, Sarah Y/L/N, Severus Snape, Dolores Umbridge, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Weasley twins.
Ship: Y/N Y/L/N x Severus Snape ( in the future, i think)
Warning: UMBRIDGE! violence, Cruciatus.
A/N: Soooo, I decided to make my first series. It was in my mind some time. Sorry for any mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you will like it!
Umbridge hated Y/L/N, and everyone knew about that. Professor thought that Ravenclaws were shy and quiet, but not this girl. She was or brave or fool if she decided to resist in various ways Umbridge. Or maybe she decided to stand up for her sister.
Many of her classmates told her, that nothing would happen if she hadn’t spilt a potion on her. But Y/L/N swore it was an accident. However, no one believed her.
It was – how you could notice – at potion class. Umbridge was passing by pupils, Snape was standing beside his table, watching the new teacher. Just then, Y/N’s cauldron swayed and fell to the floor and all the contents spilt out on Umbridge. If there were talks in the class, they stopped with the loud sound of a cauldron falling to the floor. Everyone froze and now wished Y/N fast death.
“Sorry, sorry, Professor” the girl tried to give her voice regret, but this was not enough to deceive Snape. “It was an accident”
Umbridge just stood, closing and opening her mouth. She clearly didn’t expect that any of the students could come up with such a thing.
“Detention.” The professor was ready to move to the door.
“I think that punishment is not the best example of professionalism for some an accident,” Snape took a step forward, and he spat out the last words. “ I’ve been teaching Miss Y/L/N for quite some time and I know that she is occasionally sloppy” With these words, he looked at the girl, his eyes were calling for silence.
“Do not think, Professor Snape, that I’ve finished inspecting your classroom,” exhaled irritably, as she headed for the exit.
“She will kill you” Jane whispered, approaching her friend and leaving her cauldron unattended.
“She is an assistant minister. She won’t dare. After all, I did it by accident!”
“Miss Y/L/N, dropping your cauldron, you lost your potion. If you don’t hurry, I’ll give you the Troll. You want it?” Asked Snape, who had already managed to return to his desk.
Y/N said nothing, returning the cauldron to its place.
“He could thank you. You saved him from her company, ”Jane murmured.
“ I just defer it”
Y/L/N didn’t think when she “accidentally” dropped the cauldron that Dolores would want to take revenge on her by her sister. More precisely, others may think that Sarah simply violated some rules and therefore she was summoned to Umbridge. But Y/N and her friends knew that this couldn’t be a coincidence.
Y/L/N would never have known about what happened with her sister if she had not been squeezed. While at dinner in the main hall, Y/N looked at Sarah, and she somehow strangely pulled on her sleeves, as if trying to hide something. It was not in the style of a girl. She basically wore something with short sleeves.
Y/L/N put aside food — she didn’t want to eat when the worst could happen because of her. Getting up from her seat and getting a surprised look from a friend, she went to the next table.
“Hey, Sarah” the girl put her hand on sister’s shoulder, smiling warmly “How are you?”
“I’m…I’m fine” Sarah’s voice trembled” You?” she tried to squeeze a smile.
“Why are you wearing a sweater? “ Y/N ignored the question - now the most important thing was to find out the truth.
“It's cold,” Sarah pulled on her sleeves even more.
“Hell no, she is lying!” Howard screamed. He was a friend of Sarah, Y/N supposed that he could be in love with her.
“Howard,” Sarah shouted at him.
“What are you lying about? “Y/N didn’t want to make her voice strict in such a situation,” “You know, our parents taught us not to lie, no matter what the truth was.”
Sarah hesitated, and Y/N leaned a little closer to her sister, looking into her face.
“Umbridge called me,” the sister folded her sleeves, pointing at the back of her hand, the scrawled words “I should not lie,” “I didn’t lie to her.” I told her the truth, she did not believe me” Sarah's voice quivered.
Y/N hugged her sister until she finally broke. Through the eyes of Y/L/N, she saw Umbridge. She was obviously waiting for Y/N to look at her because a small smile was formed at the corners of her lips. The girl gently rubbed her sister's back, the fire burned in her eyes.
Umbridge's act was below all moral principles.
“Everything will be fine,” Y/L/N whispered to her sister.
Next, to Y/N the Weasley brothers appeared. They looked in the same direction as the girl.
“What happened?” asked Fred.
“Umbridge decided to make a war,” right now there was a staring contest between Y/N and Dolores. “She left my sister after lessons for the edification of me. Do you have any snacks?” she looked at the twins.
“They've taken everything from us,” George answered grimly.
“But we were not we if we had not decided to take up our business again,” Fred winked.
Y/N knelt in front of her sister, taking her hands in hers.
“Sarah, now at this time I ask you to be strong. Try not to respond to the provocations of Umbridge. Say what suits her. Say something that will not make you stay on detention. At this time, I ask you to forget about your opinion.
“But ...”
“ For you, it will be better.”
“She'll find a way to break you anyway,” said George. The words were addressed to Y/N, and then he handed something to Sarah, wrapped in bright packaging, “Here,” the twins smiled at Sarah, trying to cheer her up.
That small gathering formed in Sarah's circle was not left unnoticed by the teachers.
After that, Y/N does everything possible to prevent or annoy Umbridge. Sometimes she did it alone, sometimes with the Weasley brothers. But it always happened without evidence, so no one could know that it was them. However, it was obvious to everyone, but the professors could do nothing or simply didn’t want to. Trinity acted as partisans.
Y/L/N was quick-tempered. It was her minus, but she managed to keep her emotions under control. Up to this point.
Pupils gathered in the courtyard. Umbridge expelled Professor Trelawney. Y/N walked past classmates. She kept close to them, but she so wanted to come forward.
“Oh, no,” said Jane, standing next to her, “I know that look. Do not do anything stupid, as you will regret later.”
“I don’t understand what you mean,” Y/L/N answered innocently, “Professor Trelawney is a good teacher, and she doesn’t deserve it. Yes, she has oddities, but she is a good person.”
“Maybe you want to say something, Professor McGonagall?”
Head of Gryffindor didn’t have time to answer, but only opened her mouth, ready to do it when the voice came from the students:
“I want to!” The voice was loud and there was not even a hint of fear.
Y/N stepped forward, proudly lifting her chin. Umbridge turned and the three professors stared at Y/N.
"Stupid, reckless child" the girl had no doubt that someone said so.
Y/L/N will regret these words later. Both the girl and the professor, everyone knew about it. Umbridge came closer to the student, her eyes never leaving Y/N’s. She didn’t like the fact that there were students who disagreed with her and did not obey the rules. They tried to show it in silence or not so often, but Y/L/N was completely different.
The girl opened her mouth to continue speaking when a voice interrupted her:
“Thank you, Miss Y/L/N, for protecting Professor Trelawney,” Director Dumbledore himself went out of school, “But let the director do it,” the man smiled gently at the student.
Y/L/N returned to the group from her house. She met McGonagall’s and Trelawney’s eyes. One was grateful, the other ... She was not angry, but her eyes still looked strange. As if she regretted. Y/N simply hoped that McGonagall would be able to do something to protect her sister (after all, Sarah was from her house).
“You are dead,” Jane concluded, as soon as the girl stood up with her, “She will touch your sister again.”
“Let only dare... And it all started with this damn cauldron! Another person would forget it!”
Y/N’s the struggle was no longer avenging her sister’s pain; it was now a matter of principle. And, of course, the girl joined the Dumbledore’s Army as soon as she found out about it.
She helped the younger ones to study and at the same time, she studied herself. But she and others were worried that sooner or later they would be found and what would happen to them then. Will they be expelled or let them stay at school? But these thoughts were with her only in the evening, when she came tired into the room, and the rest of the time she tried to enjoy life, study and annoy Umbridge - although lately, she did not pay attention to Umbridge. Now the main thing for her was to protect herself and her sister in the upcoming battle, which definitely will be. It was just a matter of time.
“Your mini-war has stopped,” Jane came close to her.
“Hasn't. It's just ... We have a lull” the girl turned her head to her friend and smiled,” Now I have a different priority” Y/N looked at Sarah, who at this time was talking with Howard.
Y/L/N noticed that her sister spent time with her classmate for several days. No, she had been with him before, but now there was more contact in their conversations.
“Howard is a good guy. He will be good for Sarah.”
“And if not, then ...”
Y/N did not have time to finish - some tremors began to occur. A group of students crowded in the middle of the room.
“It was just a matter of time,” one of them whispered before the wall was broken.
Not everyone was brought to the Umbridge office. Harry, Hermione and Y/N. Y/L/N found it funny. She understood perfectly why they were there, and it was not because of the army.
“Let me go, damn it!” she pushed a student from Slytherin away from her, but he only squeezed her shoulder harder, “I won't run away anywhere!”
Y/N glanced at Umbridge. Her look was so cold. The girl shivered.
Severus entered the room. He ran his eyes over those present. His gaze focused on Y/N for a second.
“Ah, Severus, did you bring the Veritaserum?” Umbridge didn’t even look at him, all her attention was only on the three violators of her order.
“ The latter was used on Miss Chang.”
Harry and Hermione looked at Snape. Did they seriously think that Chang had told the truth herself?
Umbridge deliberately thought, and then said:
“Put Miss Y/L/N on a chair. Hold her hands” her voice was so calm.
“What?! “ the girl roiled in the hands of two Slytherins, who hurried to fulfil the order of the professor, “What the hell are you going to do?”
“I didn’t want to do this,” Umbridge gently touched her wand, “But you forced me, Mr Potter.”
Harry and Hermione exchanged glances. They did not believe that a person from the Ministry could use an unforgivable curse.
“Mr Potter, you want to say nothing?” Umbridge pointed the wand to Y/L/N.
Y/N glanced quickly at the Gryffindors, continuing to try break free. No, no, she obviously did not expect this. Umbridge could not be so monster.
“Mr Potter?” Asked Umbridge demandingly. “You made your choice. Cruciatus!”
The entire body of the girl pierced the pain. Unbearable pain. She screamed. She had the feeling that every nerve in her body was stretching. The professor clearly enjoyed the pain of the girl. Y/N wanted to say “stop,” “please,” but she could not. The pain forced only to scream, but even screaming was unbearable. Y/L/N did not hear anything: not Hermione, begging for stopping it, not Harry, ready to say anything that Umbridge wants. All she heard was her heartbeat. It echoed in her head.
“Expeliarmus! “No one noticed how Snape took out his wand and immediately pointed it to Umbridge. The wand flew off to the side.
The Slytherins were taken aback.
“Professor Snape! Do you understand what is fraught with for you? Do you join them?”
Y/L/N was breathing hard. Droplets of sweat dripped from her face, and her eyes were covered. The pain did not stop immediately, it was still in her body, and any movements caused acute pain.
“The ministry finds out about this,” he only said, picking up her wand, and then turned his gaze to his students, “Rooms. Now!”
Slytherins put the trinity wands on the table and hurried out of the office, fearing the wrath of their head house. Harry and Hermione immediately took the wands and pointed them to Dolores.
“Thank you, Professor,” said Potter, not looking at Snape.
The man did not answer, only removed his wand and came closer to Y/L/N. She was unconscious and whispering something. Snape was able to distinguish individual words: "I did not want to," "stop." He touched her, she was burning. The man gently took her in his arms.
“I'll take her to Madam Pomfrey. And then I will immediately report everything that happened to the Ministry,” with these words Snape headed for the door.
“They tried to organize a rebellion!”
“We wanted to learn how to defend against monsters like you!” cried Hermione.
After some time.
Y/L/N tried to open her eyes. But it did not work. Even lifting the eyelids brought pain. But somehow she managed to do it. She immediately knew where she was. Only for her was the question: how did she get here? Did Harry say something that caused Umbridge to stop the torture?
Y/L/N tried to turn her head to the side - someone was sleeping next to her bed, and she wanted to know who. But the pain pierced her body again. She moaned.
“You are awake!” This “someone” turned out to be her sister. She abruptly jumped up” Madam Pomfrey!”
After a few seconds, a doctor stood next to the bed. Only now Y / L / N noticed flowers and all kinds of candy next to the bed.
“I would never have thought that such a spell could be used within this school,” she murmured.
Memories flooded over to Y/L/N. Umbridge, the wand, frightened faces of the Gryffindors and a slightly bewildered Slytherins.
“Now, Miss Y/L/N, I wish you rest. Your whole body was under the spell's influence, so I advise your family and friends to look after you until the pain stops bothering you.”
“And when,” her voice was hoarse, “When can I not worry about it?”
“At all in different ways. Someone gets better in five days, and someone ... Never. Now you don’t have to worry and try to forget about this incident.”
“How to forget it? “ the girl closed her eyes.
“This is the most difficult. Here, Sarah, I think your sister is very thirsty,” Madame Pomfrey handed over a cup of water.
But Sarah did not rush to give water to her sister. She put the cup on the bedside table and pulled some small bottle out of her pocket.
“What are you...”
“Professor Snape gave it to me when I came right away as I knew,” Sarah whispered so that the nurse would not hear,” He said that this would help you.”
Sarah poured two drops in a mug, and then helped her sister drink a drink.
“How long am I here?” it became noticeably easier to speak, but the voice was still hoarse.
“Free weeks. Umbridge arrested, Dumbledore returned. Some visit you. I sit here around the clock.
“You obviously, enjoy skipping classes!” Y/N grinned, but then she made a face.
“How could you think such a thing?”
“You are my sister. I know you, ”Y/L/N smiled and squeezed her sister's hand.
After a short silence, Sarah said:
“Madam Pomfrey has probably already informed the director of your condition. Wait for the guests soon. Parents have recently arrived. You would know how dad wanted to find the one who did it. It is clear that your anger got from him. Mom was more calmy ...
Sarah was silent as soon as steps were heard. They did not hurry, but their sound was heard throughout the room.
“Miss Y/L/N, I'm glad you woke up,” Director Dumbledore stood beside the bed. “How do you feel?” he sat on the edge of the bed.
“Everything hurts, but I think I'll be fine in a week.”
Dumbledore did not appreciate the optimism of the girl. This is just one of the attempts to hide the real pain.
“The Weasley twins are clearly worried about you,” the director looked at the candies and flowers, “Like everyone else at Hogwarts. Miss Y/L/N, I think you can go back to class, ”the director turned to look at Sarah.
“But, director ... She will be bored here.”
“For a Ravenclaw's best friend is a book. Am I wrong? But so be it, you will spend the day with your sister.
With these words, the man stood up and, wishing a good day, headed for the exit. Sarah started telling her sister what was happening at school while she was unconscious and who came to visit her. Often, Sarah was interrupted by friends of the girl and the professors.
Y/N's dreams didn’t torment her, on the contrary, she slept quite well. A week later, she was discharged. Three months left until the end of the year.

i thought i was the only person who hated c@ptain sw@n when that happened. i hate when creators make het ships canon even when it doesnt work just because fans for some reason like it, but i doubt... okay more like HOPE... it doesnt happen with re//ylo its so f*cking stupid
There was a whole bunch of us back then. The backlash against CS was what introduced me to the concept of anti blogs, after all. To be honest, for me it was less about CS being a het ship and more about how it was done. I mean, SQ would have been great but I was fine with SF (let’s not go into how SwanFireQueen was the biggest missed opportunity on the show) and I know I wasn’t alone. The fuckery that was S3 and beyond was the main reason for me leaving that fandom.
As for r3ylo, I do hope that Abrams has more artistic integrity than Kitsowitz did. Which shouldn’t be that hard (l’ll never forget “fun in Vegas” and “she’s saying no but her eyes are saying try harder”).
#anti reylo#anti cs#I made this blog originally as a venting blog about cs#lucky coincidence that reylo happened around that time and I could already see the similarities#Anonymous

An Unexpected Visitor (Loki X Reader) Part 2
Prompt: Sex by The 1975, Million Dollar Man by Lana Del Rey, and If I Never See Your Face Again by Maroon 5 feat Rihanna
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Warnings: Swearing; angst; arguing; mild sexual content
Word Count: 3k+
A/N: Inspiration from my Spotify Playlist again lol I think I say this every time I post something but sorry if its a slow burn, I actually have a lot of ideas for this fic but I like a slow build ;) Hope you enjoy part 2 if there are typos, from the bottom of my heart, my bad :)
Brief Summary: Loki and you dated back in college before he up and vanished. You have moved on with your life, even started a family, but an unexpected visitor makes his way back into your life.
||5 years earlier||
“Shall I compare thee to a summers day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate.” “Loki…” “Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, but bears it out, even to the edge of doom.”
Loki.” “…by heaven, I think my love as rare as any she belied with false compare.” “LOKI! I’m going to fail this quiz if you don’t shut up and quit reciting Shakespeare!” “Oh, hush, love. There is no reason to study, anyway. You know all the answers already.”
“I just want to double check and make sure. Because last time this happened, I practically failed my quiz.” “I seriously doubt you’re capable of failure, Y/N. Besides, your beauty alone deserves to be glorified at every waking moment.” “ Oh pleeease, your flattery won't work this time.” “Won’t it?” Loki leaned in close to me, placing gentle kisses along my neck, causing my will to study to wane dramatically.
Loki then pushed my notes and books of my bed, and we both rapidly undressed, making me completely forget about my upcoming quiz.
************************
“You better start fucking explaining yourself, Loki!”
I began a feeble attempt to reel in the myriad of thoughts flooding my mind. My emotions were a chaotic blend of utter confusion and absolute joy. Loki was here, in the flesh; holding me, kissing me, and telling me we belonged together.
I had pictured this moment so many times over the years, and nothing was happening like I had imagined it. But as much as I missed Loki and secretly yearned for his over the years, reality slowly crept in. Loki was gone far too long to go without explaining himself. I needed answers. Lots of answers.
“My love, I promise you, I will explain everything, but this is hardly the time or place—” “Oh no, no, I am not playing games with you Loki! The “time and place” is right now! You’re the one who left and decided to just randomly show up out of nowhere!” My voice cracked, and I forced myself to hold back more tears, annoyed at myself for getting emotional again.
“I need to know what happened to you, Loki. You owe me that much.”
I could see Loki felt guilty. I knew that behind his devil-may-care attitude and playful demeanor he felt awful for deserting me. I started to feel sorry for getting heated with him again. The Loki I knew would never just leave without a legitimate reason. But suspicious thoughts kept lurking in my head. He’s just trying to manipulate you. I shook the feeling aside, I already had too much to think about. I reached up and rubbed my hand through his beautiful black hair.
“I’m sorry, Loki. I’m just—I don’t know, there is a lot to take in.”
Loki gave a slight grin, placing both of his hands on my waist.
“As much as I’d love to chat with you about everything that's happened, darling, your mum has prepared something for dinner that smells absolutely delicious, and it would be a shame to let all her hard work go to waste.”
I gave a slight chuckle. Loki was right. If I wanted to know the full story, it would be best to wait till my parents and ex weren’t around. Also, I hadn’t eaten all my food at the restaurant with David, so I was actually quite hungry as well.
“Fine. But this isn’t over.” I reminded Loki. He nodded and leaned forward and gave me a soft peck on my forehead before both of us walked in the house. Neither my mom, dad, or David noticed Loki had ever left; still speaking with his illusion.
“Did you find what you were looking for?” Mom asked suspiciously
“Oh yeah—um—no I didn’t.” I stumbled over my words like a nervous school girl. Keep it together.
Rachel waddled up to me babbling what sounded like, “Mama.” She wasn’t really speaking yet, but her little attempts always made me so proud. I picked her up off the floor, and she looked around at us five adults standing around talking. Rachel’s eyes met Loki’s, to which Loki made a silly face at Rachel, causing her to laugh loudly. The brief moment between them made me and my parents chuckle. Seeing Loki interact with Rachel made my heart melt; it was almost too adorable for me to handle. The sweet moment ended abruptly however when I looked over at David and saw an irritated scowl cross his face. Knowing David’s temper, I cleared my throat to break the building tension.
“So…what did you make for dinner, mom?” “Oh, just some roast chicken with mash potatoes and Brussel sprouts, nothing fancy.”
“A regular feast, I cannot wait to try, Mrs. Y/L/N.” Loki smiled
“Well, come on in the dining room then, we don’t want the food getting cold.” Mom began ushering us to the dinner table.
“I already ate,” David interjected.
Mom, still walking away, yelled behind her, “Well I guess you can go home then, David.”
My dad laughed from the dining room at my mom’s sassy comment, making David looked at me and whispered, “What the hell?”
"It’s ok, we’ll talk later. I’ll text you.”
David gave me an annoyed look but decided it would be better to leave before he left my parent's good graces entirely. David gave Rachel a quick kiss goodbye and made a quiet exit.
When David left, all of us inadvertently let out a collective sigh of relief.
“Finally got him out of here, goodness gracious,” Dad grumbled.
“Dad, can we not…”
“I just want a relaxing family dinner with all of, it’s been too long.” Mom was beaming. Sometimes I wondered if mom loved Loki more than I do.
Did.
My mind was still an absolute whirlwind. Barely an hour ago, David and I were at dinner, talking about our daughter’s future and reconsidering where our relationship stood. Then I see Loki’s car in my parent's driveway with his stupid “God of Mischief” vanity plates, next thing I know were kissing, uprooting so many feelings I had pushed down over the last 3 years; and now Loki was eating dinner at my house like we had years ago. My emotions were a constant ebb and flow or fury, and affection One moment, I suppressed every urge I had to cause a scene and demand answers from Loki. The next, I wanted Loki to take me in his arms again and to pick up where we had left off. I still couldn’t comprehend how someone who I spent almost every day with since I was 18 to just suddenly vanished. I mean, I knew about Loki being a god. I knew about his brother, Asgard, and the Avengers. I didn’t know everything, but he had told me bits and pieces and opened up to me over the years. I also knew he would have to leave occasionally concerning “family squabbles” and things concerning the Avengers, but he would always let me know ahead of time and would even send his illusion to check in on me.
The leading theory I had settled on for Loki leaving was I thought I scared him off because of the last conversation we had. Petty, I know, but I couldn’t think of anything else it could possibly be.
I remembered every detail about our last conversation, probably because I played the moment repeatedly, trying to figure out what went wrong.
It was almost the end of the semester. Loki and I were in a local coffee shop, close enough to the college to walk, but not close enough where it was bombarded by other collegians studying for finals. Loki was actually helping me study for my other classes besides literature. I was studying for a freshman world geography class, an easy elective I took to boost my GPA. We had both ordered our drinks (Loki drank an Italian roast, black, and I had a cortado.)
While he was helping me study the countries of the Eastern Hemisphere, I looked up at him.
“Do you think you’ll ever get married? Or have kids?”
While Loki took a sip of his coffee, his eyes quickly shifted to me.
“I mean, one day. I’m not saying to me—or anything—um, I was just curious. Plus I’m bored of studying.” I gave an awkward laugh, trying to hide my cheeks turning a bright shade of crimson.
Loki bit his lip and tilted his head up and looked off in the distance. I felt like I could actually see wheels turning in his head. Then he spoke.
“I honestly cannot answer that.”
“Oh…”
“Well, I don’t know, truthfully. Marriage seems so, arbitrary to me. Especially, as a god, time means nothing to me, but to Midgardians, time is so precious, so you decide one person to spend that time with until your dying breath. So if I were to marry an Asgardian, I would be tied to them for possibly, millennia. And if I was to marry a Midgardian, they will have already lived a quarter of their life. I’ve been alive far too long and have learned there is no point in getting attached to something I cannot keep.”
He spoke so matter-of-factly that it almost brought me to tears. Was that all I was to him? A mere mortal with 25% of my life over. I felt foolish for thinking I could be more to him than a Midgardian “friend with benefits.”
Pretending not to be hurt, however, I nodded nonchalantly as I listened to his rant and took a sip of my drink. He continued.
“I could see myself having children though, one day.”
“So you can’t see yourself getting married, but you can see yourself having children? Alrighty then.” I laughed, accidentally letting my hurt feelings slip into my reply.
“Do you see a problem with that, love?”
“No, not at all, to each his own. So kids huh?” He looked at me and gave me a rueful grin.
“I would love to give my children the childhood I always craved.”
I gave a sympathetic groan and reached out for his arm and gave him a gentle squeeze. I didn’t want to press the issue further. I knew how sensitive he was about the subject. After a few moments, Loki spoke again, looking directly into my eyes.
“Did you ask me that, because I am someone you would want to marry?”
My eyes inadvertently widened and swallowed a little harder than necessary. I felt a little uneasy because Loki refused to break eye contact with me.
“Honestly, Loki…” I felt instant nausea from my nerves.
“Yes?”
“You are someone I want to marry. Why wouldn’t I? You’re amazing, you’re well read, you’re kind, but more importantly, you’re my best friend, of course, you’re someone I would want to fucking marry! I don’t care if I’ve ‘lived a quarter of my life’ already if you love someone you choose to love them no matter what!” I spoke a little louder than I intended too because a few coffee shop patrons turned their heads toward our table.
Loki chuckled at my obvious embarrassment. I gave an awkward half-smile and placed my hands on my face as if trying to wipe away my blushing cheeks. Loki grinned at me and brushed a few strands of hair away from my face before he spoke again.
“Well, darling, I am very flattered.” He placed a gentle kiss on my forehead. “Now how about we get back to studying? You need to do well on your exam.”
The quick change of subject confused me for a second before I agreed with him and I began to study for my exam again. After a while, I was ready to go call it a day. Loki offered to give me a ride home, but I initially declined and told him I’d walk; partly because that day was uncharacteristically mild for winter and I wanted to enjoy the lovely weather; also I was extremely embarrassed about the conversation we had inside the coffee shop. But Loki insisted that he take me home and I, not in a mood to argue, I caved. The car ride was awkward, neither of us said anything the whole trip which generally wouldn’t be all that unusual, but because the conversation did not go as planned on my part, I felt that maybe I had crossed the line. When Loki finally reached my driveway, he parked his car and looked at me.
“Y/n, I want to apologize if what I said hurt you. Please don’t misunderstand me, I care for you deeply. I may not know what the future holds but what I know for certain is that you belong to me, and I belong to you, no matter what happens.”
I smiled at him, exhaling a breath I held in the whole car ride; thankful for his reassurance. Loki and I never had any labels in our relationship which was alright for the most part because I knew he cared for me, but every once in a while it was nice to hear him tell me how he felt. Even if he did think marriage was just a quirky Midgardian tradition. But one part of what he said caught me off guard: ‘No matter what happens’”? What does that mean? Ultimately, I shook it off as me being too analytical and leaned in to kiss Loki.
“I love you too, Loki.”
I stepped out of his car and waved back at him, “See you tomorrow!”
He waved back at me and drove off. That was the last time I saw or spoke to Loki.
********************
Dinner with Loki and my parents went as well as expected. The meal mom prepared was delicious, Rachel only threw half of her food on the floor, and mom and dad bombarded Loki with questions.
“So where have you been, Loki? We were starting to worry about ya.” Dad said, giving Loki a pat on his back.
“I have been rather busy with work, I’ve done a little bit of traveling, and also spending time with my family.”
I rolled my eyes. I swear to god he better not lie to me like that when he accounts for the last few years.
“Well, it’s good to have you back, Sweetheart.” Mom cut in, “Will we see more of you?”
Loki looked over at me when he answered, “Yes indeed. I’m not going anywhere as long as I can help it.”
I rolled my eyes again, trying to hide the smile forming on my lips.
Once dinner was over, leftovers and dishes put away, My parents said their “goodnights” and left for bed. I also excused myself for a brief moment, needing to get Rachel ready for bed. Before I carried Rachel to her room, Loki reached for Rachel’s little hand, “Goodnight little love, thank you for showing me all your toys this evening.” Rachel babbled incoherently and gave Loki a smile showing all the teeth she had.
“I think somebody likes you” I smirked, “Say ‘thank you Loki for playing with me’”
Rachel babbled again while Loki lowered himself to her eye level, giving her his undivided attention.
“Well, it was my pleasure, Rachel. Have pleasant dreams.”
I left and tucked Rachel into her little bed, and she fell asleep shortly after. As she slept, I stared at her for a moment before heading back to the living room. I thought about how adorable Loki was with my daughter. Interacting with children seemingly came so naturally to him. I also wished that David would be the same way with Rachel. He was a great father in that he worked hard to provide for her, but that was the only way David showed he loved her, especially after we parted ways. David wouldn’t play with her, and would hardly make time to spend time alone with her. He blamed work for not being around Rachel as often as he should. David worked for his father’s law firm. Influential attorneys defending the most guilty and the richest. I know Rachel was far too young to understand the nuances of a father/daughter relationship, but whenever David would walk past her or halfheartedly acknowledge her, I could see in her little eyes, that it hurt her.
I made my way back to the living room and saw Loki sitting on the couch, waiting for me. He stood when I re-entered the room and made his way toward me.
“I should probably get going, I know we could all use a restful nights sleep.”
“We still need to talk—”
“I haven’t forgotten,” Loki gently interrupted, “Why don’t we meet in the morning for breakfast, we can go anywhere you want to go.”
“Well, my parents can’t watch Rachel tomorrow, they both have something they have to go to, so if we go anywhere, Rachel will have to come.”
Loki’s face lit up, “That sounds delightful! We shall make a day out of it then.” His hand reached down placed his palm on my face like he had earlier. This time I didn’t swat him away, instead, I wrapped my arms around him. I missed feeling his body against mine. Loki pulled me in closer and rested his chin on top of my head.
Sadly we were interrupted by my phone vibrating. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw a text from David reading: Hey, we need to finish talking when you get a chance. We couldn’t with that guy hanging around. Text me back ASAP.
I groaned. Loki peaked at David’s message and scoffed,“‘That guy’? Charming.”
“You have no idea,” I replied, more to myself than Loki.
Loki’s face turned concerned, “What do you mean?”
“Ugh, he’s just—sometimes he’s a dick, but otherwise he’s alright. He makes sure Rachel is taken care of, so that’s all I care about.” Giving me a dubious look, I reassured Loki that I was fine and that David was just annoying sometimes. Reaching for my hand, Loki made his way toward the front door.
“Well, I better go, love. I look forward to spending the day with you and Rachel.” Loki pulled me close and kissed me on the lips before closing the door behind him. I peeked out the front window and saw him stoop down into his car, rev his engine, and drive off. What have you been up to, Loki Odinson?
**************
David, back at his penthouse apartment, reclined in his Eames chair, sipping away at bourbon and fiddled with his phone. He had searched the name “Loki Odinson” over and over on Google but only found references to Norse Mythology.
Who the fuck is this guy?
David exited his Google Search and began scrolling through his contact list until he found the name, Darren. He pressed the call icon and waited for him to answer.
“Hey David, you’re up late.” “Darren. I have a favor to ask.” “Anything Chief, what do you need?” “I need you to look into someone for me, the name: ‘Loki Odinson.’”
“You got it, boss. I’ll see what I can find.”
Darren ended the call, and David went to his iPhone photo album. He scrolled through his pictures until he found an old picture of Y/N.
This stupid bitch better be careful. She’s gonna get her heart broken all over again.

Swan Queen Fanfiction Recommendation List (95 fics)
After becoming obsessed with Swan Queen quite some time ago, I have made my way through god knows how many fanfics. Ranging from the super short to the epically long, from the hilarious to the heart breaking and from the well written to the how is this author not famous and why aren’t they writers on the show!!!!
After ploughing my way through list upon list on fanfiction.net and archive of our own, after devouring lists made by other SQ lovers and after I have read everything written by my favourite authors as well as reading all of their favourite stories, I would consider myself something of a SQ fanfic expert.
That being said, considering how much SQ fanfiction is out there I am sure I have only made a medium sized dent in the whole and given all of the talented writers out there I am sure there are still some amazing fics left for me to read (I hope so or what will I do with my life?).
Being a SQ shipper I considerate it my duty to get as many other people as possible on board. I have managed to convert my wife, although all that took was for me to say Regina and Emma and she was in, didn’t need to be any more specific than that, it wasn’t exactly a struggle. The same could not be said of my best friend, who at the time was a huge Hook fan (I can sense the eye rolls but don’t judge her too harshly) I basically made it my mission to talk nonstop about SQ until I had convinced her of its validity or she had changed her mind simply due to SQ osmosis.
Following conversation after conversation involving me painstakingly discussing things like how Regina and Emma can move the moon together and stop curses (Isn’t true love the most powerful magic of all??). How they are always fighting for each other and sacrificing for each other and all of those looks they give each other. Not to mention the fact that let’s face it if Emma had been a man the saviour and the evil queen would have ended up together, it would have been the perfect fairytale ending. Snow White destroys Regina’s happiness but makes up for it by bringing her, her real true love, doesn’t get any more poetic than that. After all of that I am extremely happy to say that my friend is now a huge SQ fan.
You’re probably wondering why I’m rambling on about this, but all of the above leads me to the main reason for writing this list. Which is so my friend can read all of the amazing fanfics that I have and for all the other SQ fans (who like me are looking for another list they can make their way through, which will probably have a lot of the same fics on it as lists they have already read; but maybe there will be a gem in there that they wouldn’t have found otherwise).
I hope anyone reading this list will find it helpful and if you enjoy a fic, please pop over and leave a review for the author. It won’t take long and I am sure it means a lot to them.
To all the authors on this list thank you so much for sharing your work. You are all awesomely talented.
To anyone who is wondering why I am writing this list now, when the show is over and there is no hope for SQ, the answer is simple: once a SQ fan, always a SQ fan. And maybe if all SQ fans keep SQ alive, if the time comes when the show is remade the writers will remember this fandom and even though it will be too late for our Regina and Emma, maybe another Regina and Emma will get the chance that they deserve.
Let’s get started; the fics are ordered by length, with the shortest first, you’ll probably notice that there aren’t many short fics on here, (I like to get invested), apologies if you don’t have the time to read lengthy fics.

5 tips you can take now to speed up your lottery winning
What Jim Carrey did in this film is tip #5, and it’s essential to follow.
How long does it take to win the lottery?
You could win quickly. It took Jason only 7 months to win his $22.2 million Oz Lotto jackpot with my System.
Your own winning time might be different, but many in our testimonial Winners page tell us they win quickly:
--- Hey Ken, Since you told me I should get the Pro I'm now winning every time and its great. I got $7,500 in one draw but also got $200, $550 and $1000 often. When you told me I could play all the time that has made the difference. Jeff W. ---
So how can you speed up your win rate, and more importantly, Win Big?
Here's 5 things you should be doing to Win Big:
#1. Buy all the tools.
Imagine being a builder and having a hammer as your only tool. A cook with only a bowl. A mechanic with only a spanner.
To get anywhere this year you need everything I have - both the System and LottoPredict along with PRO Custom Profiles. I don't need to emphasise that fact any more than this. Get them all together with the Lifetime Pack at 50% off.
#2. Use your tools properly.
Many players have all the magnificent advantages of all my tools, yet still only play $10 a game. My System is not designed for fun players. You need to take your strategy seriously this year and start playing according to my instructions. That means...
#3. Play frequently.
You eat three meals a day. If you only eat one a day then your strength dwindles and fails.
It's the same with playing the lottery. Miss too many games and whatever strength you had quickly falls away.
The lottery is a numbers game... all you have to do is show up, play the System and wait.
I've often given the example that if you want to see a Ferrari, you can stand on a deserted road and wait months for one to appear. Or you can stand near a motorway and see one every 10 minutes. Frequency is the secret in everything you do.
#4. Convince yourself.
Something new takes a while to adjust to, and my System is the same. You probably have doubts and worries about how it will work, and that may cause you to be cautious.
That's fine. I understand it happens and that's why I have 24/7 Coaching. So whenever you have a nagging doubt about the System or how it's played - just ask.
It's free because all I want to do is help you Win Big!
#5. Take action by saying Yes.
You've heard me often say ‘Winners Take Action’. That's everything you need to know. Just get up and do it.
One way you can get used to taking action is to say Yes to everything you're asked. It works.
There was even a film about it starring Jim Carrey, but you won't need to take it to the extremes he did.
If you’re on vacation, you can take action at home or away. But do it - take action - and you'll get the rewards. You can try a new game or just play more often in your existing game.
Let’s see if we can make the next few months the best winning time of your lottery career!
How to win the lottery in 8 games out of 10 5 tips you can take now to speed up your lottery winning published first on https://188lotosite.tumblr.com/

Have you ever heard of the Peloponnese? Discover this mythical Greek region on your next charter boat trip!
Still, not a very popular tourist destination, if compared to the many and famous archipelagos and islands of the Aegean Sea, the Peloponnese is a fascinating region of Greece rich in history, nature, and enchanting beaches still off the beaten track from the main tourist routes.
In the middle of its territory made up of mountains and rugged and verdant valleys are some of the most important archaeological sites in Europe, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, remains and testimonies of ancient civilizations such as Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games; Mycenae, Argos and Sparta, an ancient rival of Athens.
Thanks to its geographic conformation, the Peloponnese is particularly suitable to be visited on a boat trip. It is in fact easily accessible and well connected to Athens, the Greek capital, and offers, along the coast, seaside resorts and towns perched overlooking the sea where to take refuge for the night.
CONTACT US FOR YOUR CHARTER IN THE PELOPONNESE
Where is the Peloponnese located?
The Peloponnese region constitutes a large part of mainland Greece and ideally separates the two main seas that bathe the Greek coasts, the Aegean Sea to the southeast and the Ionian Sea to the west.
In fact, it occupies the southern part of Greece and constitutes a large region that brings together several provinces such as Arcadia, Argolis, Corinthia, Messenia, and Laconia.
Island or peninsula?
Peloponnese literally means “island of Pesopo” in ancient Greek even if formally it is a peninsula connected to the continent through the narrow isthmus located near the city of Corinth, in the northeast.
However, since 1983, we can define this region as an island. In fact, in that year the Corinth Canal was inaugurated, an engineering work of considerable importance that allowed to open a maritime connection between the north-eastern and south-eastern part of the Peloponnese, saving over 200 kilometers of navigation and making the region an island in all respects.
How to reach this location?
The region is well connected with all the main Greek ports and airports. In the case of a boat trip, the most convenient solution to reach the Peloponnese is certainly to land at Athens International Airport and then set sail from one of the numerous marinas in the surrounding area, heading west and crossing the Saronic Islands archipelago.
Equally interesting alternatives may be to reach one of the Cyclades archipelago islands such as Mykonos or Santorini and then take a tour back to the Peloponnese or also set sail from the Ionian island of Zakynthos and then “dive” along with the coast sailing to the southeast.
Top places not to be missed during a boat itinerary in the Peloponnese
Numerous reasons make the Peloponnese a place of international interest and they are all linked to its millenary history. It is almost impossible to visit all the archaeological and cultural wonders that this land has to offer in a single holiday unless you have a lot of time at your disposal.
As we said earlier, the Peloponnese coasts hide some jewels including some less frequented but absolutely beautiful beaches.
Here is a list of just some of the main attractions that can be found wandering the length and breadth of the Peloponnese or, as in our case, circumnavigating its coasts:
Olympia
A must for tourists visiting the Peloponnese is Olympia, the ancient city-sanctuary famous all over the world for being the place where the first Olympic Games in history, dedicated to Zeus, were held, and where even today, after more than 4000 years, the Olympic torch is lit which gives way to modern sports competitions. Ancient Olympia is undoubtedly the most famous tourist resort in the Peloponnese as well as one of the most important archaeological sites in all of Greece.
Mycenae
This mythical city was the capital of the Agamemnon kingdom, one of the most powerful kings of ancient Greece. The famous Lions Gate, dating back to 1300 BC, opens along with an impressive system of fortifications that reaches 8 meters thick. Inside, the extraordinary ruins of the citadel await you, the Treasury of Atreus, the tomb of Agamemnon, and his famous funerary mask, one of the most famous finds of antiquity.
The Theater of Epidaurus
A few kilometers from Mycenae is the city of Epidaurus, which owes its tourist fame to the splendid theater dating back to the fourth century BC, one of the best-preserved ancient theaters in Europe still used today for shows and events. The theater is known for its flawless acoustics.
Argon
founded thousands of years ago, it is probably the oldest city in Greece. The ancient ruins are now camouflaged in the modern city, but it is worth a visit for its interesting archaeological museum, for the medieval fortress overlooking the Larissa hill, and of course for the archaeological remains.
Nafplio
the elegant city of Nafplio occupies an extraordinary position in the Gulf of Argolis. A very important port of Greece since the Bronze Age, it was the country’s first capital after independence in 1833. Its elegant historic center, with its typical narrow streets, abounds with Venetian palaces, neoclassical residences, boutiques, and cafes;
Monemvasia
One of the wonders of the Peloponnese is Monemvasia, an enchanting medieval village that stands on a rocky tower overlooking the sea whose shape resembles an iceberg and is connected to the mainland by a causeway. In Kastro, the center of the fortified citadel, only a handful of people reside and it is possible to enter only on foot to fully enjoy the charm of a maze of narrow streets and stone houses, with extraordinary panoramic views of the sea.
Kalamata
Capital of Messenia, the region south-west of the Peloponnese, Kalamata is not yet included in the itineraries of mass tourism but it is a lovely place to be discovered. Inserted in a truly evocative natural setting, between a large gulf and the Taygetos mountains behind it, Kalamata has a characteristic historic center with a lovely promenade, a couple of interesting museums, a medieval fortress and beautiful beaches in the surrounding area.
The Mani peninsula
For those who prefer a holiday dedicated to nature rather than cultural and historical itineraries, we recommend the Mani Peninsula, which can boast some of the most varied and breathtaking landscapes of the Peloponnese. Your holiday will be divided between suggestive paths in the woods in the mountains, pristine beaches bathed by crystal clear waters, villages surrounded by olive trees and the arid landscape in the south of the peninsula, with its abandoned stone towers.
Voidokilia beach
Considered the most beautiful beach in the Peloponnese and one of the most beautiful in the world according to the Times, the wild Voidokilia is a narrow crescent-shaped strip of fine sand in a bay sheltered from the open sea. The waters are very transparent, the nearest urban settlement (Pylos) is far away and there are no kiosks or taverns: in short, a paradise!
Elafonissos and the Simos beach
The Peloponnese also has its islands and among these the most famous is the enchanting island of Elafonissos. This small island of 20 sq km is a natural paradise with white beaches and turquoise sea, generally uncrowded, which will make you believe you have landed in the Caribbean. If you have time for only one of the beaches of Elafonissos, the obligatory choice is Simos Beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches not only in the Peloponnese but in all of Greece.

The Biggest Mistake You *Might* Be Making With Your Launches
Spoiler alert: just focusing on selling and building hype during a launch can REALLY damage your results.
There is a big misconception about the meaning of launching. A lot of people think it means you put your product out there, you create this buzz, and you get people excited about it. Now, yes, to some extent, we do want people to be excited about your product… but your launch is about so much more than that.
Your pre-launch period (the 60 to 90 days leading up to your launch), is WAY more important than what happens once you actually open doors or your product goes live. The pre-launch period is what really matters and the point of it is not just to tell people that you have a new product coming out soon. People aren’t going to be excited just by the fact that you have something coming unless you’ve built a BIG following and people have been waiting for what you have to offer them.
There is so much more to launching than just building hype, so let’s first look at this whole idea of building hype, and then later on, I’ll share 5 of the main objectives for your pre-launch content that aren't about building hype.
HOW TRYING TO BUILD HYPE IS HURTING YOUR LAUNCH
#1 | There’s Only So Much Building Hype You Can Do
Building hype is based around the idea that we need to make people excited to buy our product, because if they’re not excited to buy it then they’re not going to want to buy it when it’s available. We also believe that if we don’t do enough work to sell our product, then people aren’t going to want to buy it.
There’s only so much talking about your product and teasing that you have a launch coming that you can do before your content starts to get really REALLY boring. If your audience doesn’t think they need your product, they are going to get really bored listening, watching, or reading your content.
This is where things get interesting. If your audience doesn’t realise they need your product, or that they even have the problem that your product solves, your content is going to be extra boring for them and they are not going to want to listen to you talk about your product.
#2 | You Are Aimlessly Putting Out Content
Aimlessly putting out content to build excitement that has no real strategy behind it is seriously harming your launch.
Here’s an idea of the strategy that I use behind my own launch content. If your pre-launch content strategy is missing any of these types of content, you’re really missing out on its effectiveness (more to come on these later!)
Content that builds your audience
Content that builds know, like, and trust
Content that positions you as an authority
Content that shows your audience what they need to know about themselves, the product or your area of expertise in order to be ready to buy from you
Content the overcomes any objections your buyers might have.
Notice how none of these categories involve building hype!
Your pre-launch content is about making your audience aware of the problem, making them aware of your solution, and showing them why you are the person that is perfectly positioned to help them get that solution or overcome that problem.
#3 | Your Launch Isn’t About Getting People Excited
There is this big misconception that people have to be excited about our product in order to buy it. Like I said earlier, we want them to be excited to some extent (we don’t want them to be not excited about it!)
What we really want is for them to feel like it’s a no brainer. We want it to be an easy yes for them. We want them to feel like this is the product for them, like this was made for them - it’s made for overcoming their problem and it’s the perfect solution for them. In order to get to that point, they need a little bit of educating, which Is where these five types of pre-launch content come into play.
THE 5 MAIN OBJECTIVES OF YOUR PRE-LAUNCH CONTENT
#1 | Build Your Audience
When people launch they think, “let me build my Instagram followers, let me get more Instagram followers!” NO!
When I talk about building your audience during your pre-launch phase, I don’t just mean building your social media following (even though that is the first place everyone goes to). Instagram followers do not convert anywhere near as well as email subscribers do. If you can get people onto your email list, then when you do you launch your product, you already have this audience waiting for you.
Let’s do some comparing. A standard email open rate is anywhere between 20 and 30% vs between 2 and 5% of your Instagram following who might see your latest post. And then how many of those people are actually going to take the time and effort to click through or comment or visit your website? The whole aim of your pre-launch phase is to try and get people onto your email list and if you are doing that, then you are doing a good job.
#2 | Build Your Know, Like & Trust
A lot of people that you are getting onto your email list during your pre-launch phase might not have been following you for very long. They might not know who you are, they might not know your journey, and so you need to get them to know you, to like you, and to trust you.
My favourite way to do this is to share connection building content. This is really honest, raw, behind-the-scenes content. Not just trying to give them more, more, more value, but trying to show them that you are a real human. It’s showing them who you are, not just who you think they want to see, but who you actually are.
#3 | Position Yourself As An Authority
Positioning yourself as an authority is even more important if you are going to be teaching about a particular topic. For example, Marie Forleo teaches you how to create a business and a life that you love. She has positioned herself as an authority in the online business space through press articles that are written about her, through content that she shares, and so much more.
She has positioned herself as an authority and that is exactly what you need to do when you are creating and launching your product, especially in that pre-launch phase.
#4 | Get Your Audience Ready To Buy From You
It’s so important through your pre-launch content to get your audience where they need to be in order to be ready to buy from you.
Ask yourself:
What does my ideal customer need to know themselves in order to be ready to buy when I launch?
What do they need to know about the topic that I’m teaching to be ready to buy when I launch?
What do they need to know about my product to be ready to buy when I launch?
This is going to form the bulk of your content in the lead up to your pre-launch phase, because you’ll often find that you need to make some little mindset shifts with your audience.
Take this blog post as an example. One of the things you need to know in order to be ready to buy my course about launching (coming in 2021!) is that your launch isn’t just about building hype. You need to know that there is an art and science to the content that you share in the lead up to your launch. I’m using this as one of those pieces of content to shift you to where you need to be and what you need to know in order to be in the right place to enrol in my course.
#5 | Overcome Objections
Objections are things that your customers will have when it comes to signing up for your course or your membership or buying your product - whatever it is that you are launching.
Two of the biggest objections that can pop up with every launch include:
I don’t have enough time to do this
I don’t have enough money
You need to have content that discredits those objections, that shows your audience why those objections aren’t unique to them, why they don’t really matter, and why they are not going to hold them back from seeing success.
There we go! Those are five types of content that I would share in a lead up to a launch. As you can see, none of them are really direct or salesy. None of them say, “hey listen up I have a brand-new course coming soon!” You might sprinkle in a few calls to action throughout the content to say “download my freebie” or “get on my email list”. Once your launch begins that is when you turn into sales mode. But the bulk of your content isn’t selling. The bulk of your content is educating your audience.
And whether they buy from you or not, you’ve still improved their lives a little bit. I have no doubt that a lot of you reading this blog post may not sign up for my course and that is completely fine. I’ve just shown you five different types of content that you can share during the pre-launch phase that aren’t about building hype, so even if you don’t buy my course, I have still made some kind of improvement to the launches that you have in the future.
So remember: launching isn’t just about building hype. It’s about sharing value, it’s about building your audience, building that know, like, and trust, positioning yourself as that authority, getting your audience to be where they need to be to be ready to buy, and overcoming those potential objections. Do that and you will have a very well-rounded, successful launch every time.

SQ Week 2; MILF
“Emma? What is a MILF?”
Emma spit out her coffee, completely taken aback that Regina would ask her such a question so early in the morning, and with such a serious look on her face. “Jesus Christ, Regina, you can’t be serious.”
Regina took a seat across the table from her and uttered the most unfortunate two words Emma had heard all week, “I am.”
Emma wondered if this was what she missed out with Henry; awkwardly teaching a few new words or awkwardly trying to evade the question entirely. “Why? Where’d you hear that?” She regretted the question as soon as it left her mouth.
“I overheard August say that I am a MILF. I would like to know what he called me.”
Emma tried to hide her grimace by bringing her coffee cup to her lips. That bought her a little time to decide how to approach this question. With Regina—in the past—she has found that the direct, no bullshit, approach works the best. So she lowered the coffee mug and with the straightest face she could muster said, “mother I’d like to fuck.”
“Excuse me?” Regina sputtered.
“It means, mother I’d like to fuck.” Emma shrugs. It took another moment or two to process. “Wait a minute! Why did August say that you were a MILF? I mean…I you’re fine as hell, but you’re my wife and he knows it!”
Regina rolls her eyes, “it’s not a big deal Emma.”
She crossed her arms and frowned. “Sure it is. August is a good guy, sure, but he can’t talk about you like that.”
“Really, I don’t mind.” Regina smirks. “After all it’s hard not to apricate this.” She motions up and down her body. “But if it makes you feel that uncomfortable, I’ll talk to him. I’m sure he didn’t mean to upset you. Or me for that matter.”
“Yeah well.” Emma grumbled. “I’m gonna have a good chat with him. Who else was he talking to?”
Regina almost felt guilty giving up names. “He was talking to the dwarves, I think its safe to say that he was joking.”
“Hope he doesn’t dream of doing standup.” Emma replied.
“If you say so.” Regina replied. “But do you agree with him? Am I a MILF.”
“Please stop saying that word.” Emma cringed.
“I will if you answer the question.” Regina smugly draped her arms over the top of her chair and quirked an eyebrow.
“Well, yeah. But you’re my MILF and no one else’s.” Emma muttered.
Regina rested her elbows on the table, “I can live with that.”
