I genuinely enjoyed seeing everyone's reactions. Imma say a few words below the cut!

Starting off hot with Fuego, omg is she one of my favorites to watch when things go down. Even though she is about the same age as Rey and Serif she seems so much more interested in all the possibilities she has as a kindred. Everyday she is learning something new she can do or how she can use her power and Aabria does a phenomenal job with showing and not telling. Her body language is *chefs kiss* I could go on forever about how talented Aabria is but I alas that's not why you're here. Not only that but the realization with Rey and how she wants to tame that type of feral power was so eye opening to knowing now what Fuego is looking for as a kindred. It's a great way to see that she is still a ventrue at heart even if she disagrees with a lot of people in power.

Now Isaac, let me just said ALEX WARD YOU ARE DOING SO GOOD. I love love love the attitude that this character has towards the party. He has been around long enough to not allow them to try and push him around when they are in the wrong. But he is also very good at not coddling them like in labn the coterie had to do with Annabelle. He wants them to learn the hard way essentially and it's such a good perspective to see. It is hard to not step in as a player when you think something could go poorly for another pc but seeing him just sit there and watch things transpire takes a lot of willpower that I admire quite a bit! Not only that but Alex has been coming in with some great lines so far this season! I can not wait for him to unravel a bit more, it's so entertaining to see a kindred lose their cool.

Oh Rey. I love you and your poor choices <3 BUT IM SO HAPPY HE WENT INTO THE PIT OKAY? I absolutely love to see the more physical struggle that he has with his Beast compared to Fuego and her mental struggle. Every ep he has to fight it back and I love that he is still trying to figure it out. It was a one time deal of "oh it will never happen again I will control myself" no! He. Is. Struggling. And that's so important for pc development! You can't always win! I'm so glad Joey is playing Rey this way. It gives the character so much more dimension. Plus who doesn't love an impulsive character? They are usually the ones who help push the plot forward. Can't always talk pretty and get things moving. (But also that frenzy was hella hot I won't lie)

Now Serif is the one I am honestly most interested about when it comes to her home life and sire. She obviously has a lot of issues with free will (especially since her mom seems to be a ghoul) and it comes across so well in Mayanna's acting. Not only that but removing herself from situations that she dislikes or upset her is so good! It's nice to see a character who knows that making a big deal about you being upset in the heat of the moment won't fix the problem. She needs to blow off steam and redirect her feelings until she can talk about it more freely. I need need need a one on one conversation with her and Isaac. I think they have more in common than they realize and could probably benefit from just talking to each other about what has happened so far. Anyways, I am so excited to see where she goes, because as of right now I love her! (Not only that she seems to be the one making connections more on a lower level than the others which is such a plus. Get those thin bloods on your side girl!)

Okay I’m watching Exandria Unlimited: Calamity so prepare to be sick of me! Imma tag spoilers and shouldn’t be too annoying cause ya boy is Not Commenting on everything cause these episodes are Long)

Im 2 hours into the first episode, I love them all. Brennan is incredible I love his style. I love how each of them have their own strengths, I’ve always found Matt’s knowledge of lore and his ability to connect the story in a fascinating way to be my favourite part about his DMing. For Aabria i think she does an incredible job with NPC’s I never really forget that they’re there which is cool. I haven’t actually seen much of her Critical Role DMing but I watched Misfits and Magic and her NPC’s are amazing I adore them.

Brennan brings such magic to his descriptions tho it’s incredible. He’s always tying it back to the characters themselves, allows so much freedom and yet fucks with everyone so much. He feels like a benevolent trickster god. Like if Artagan was real.

Moving on to the characters themselves!!!!! Yes my loves this will be a long post. So far I have only watched their introductions so my opinions may change

Zerxus - this man be ballsy as fuck. Yall see the fucking a weird giant being of light and tell them to stop what they’re doing??? That’s bigger than the being who’s HAND YOU ARE STANDING ON. His conversation with Elias hurt a little bit. Im sure nothing will go wrong there

Loquatius - this is just Sam. Iconic, amazing, an attention whore. The ABC’s of Sam (for legal reasons this is a joke). In all seriousness I think he genuinely does love Laerryn and it’s just not a compatible relationship anymore.

Laerryn - Im already in love. Can we take a second to appreciate Aabria absolutely freaking out over everything going on and the moment her character is introduced she goes full on role play moment Im in love!! Idk I just kinda….resonate with her a bit? Always looking for the next thing to go wrong, disliking small talk, ya know the works. Obviously I’m not gonna destroy a bunch of shit due to my hubris but that might just be because I don’t have magic soooooo

Nydas - he reminds me of Fabian so much I adore him. Morals? Who’s she? Nah I adore him. I do think he genuinely cares about people but cares more about himself and his wealth. Who knows maybe that’ll be part of his character development. I’m sure nothing will go wrong in the meantime :)

Cerrit - now y’all know I adore Travis. Cerrit is so COOL. Idk, I love the idea of someone who doesn’t have magic being in a party filled with people with magic it just amuses me. I’m very excited to see where this goes also seems like we’re getting a murder mystery?? And by murder I mean consumed by an entity of unknown origin???? Loving it

Patia - again I’m in love. Marisha Ray is incredible and The Range??????? Keyleth the most awkward motherfucker to ever exist and then Patia a stone cold ice Queen. Fuck the defrosting ice Queen trope if she burns the world down out of sheer disregard I would still kneel before her because I love her. Yes thank you I am in love with Marisha Ray and no I will not apologise

I'll absolutely take you up on messaging about cr! (do you prefer here or your main??) And same goes - i'd love to hear what you think about where you are in c1 or the live campaign!! Since I'm getting through it so fast I think im going to hold off on watching live until I catch up, but i see bits and pieces about it on here.

I like the storyline so far - I generally know the broad strokes of what is going to happen (lol I cant help spoiling things for myself) but I was just at the bit where Percy was seemingly going to stab Asum/Raishan which could have been a wild, wild turn of events if she'd been there. Plus the fact that that all happened during the halloween episode (which, wow, it was hard to take some of them seriously with their costumes). Now i'm at the bit where they're trying to figure out the larger plan with the armies/luring Thordak/etc. I'm excited to see this play out but also excited to see how things turn out with Vecna.

That's exciting that you're almost at the end! When you do finish (free time depending, I assume) are you planning on continuing to c2?

oh im very caught up with c3 lmao i started it since the beginning cause i wanted to get into cr before it started and it was just an excuse lmao

c1 i started in december cause i had a lot of important tests i had to take and i wanted to focus on thos first so it took me a while but now im almost at the end (still 5eps to go but once i get more free time im excited to finish it!)

also that part with raishan was great! shes my favorite villain of all time so far... i love a good alliance with someone you hate and keyleth being my favorite pc makes it even better because she absolutely hates raishan

the thordak fight was great and i hope you enjoy the rest of the chroma conclave arc cause i think it was one of the best ones!

and yeah! i do plan on watching c2 because i also know a lot about it since i see a bunch of clips from it and i dont mind spoilers but it might take me longer to get to it since i want to watch the one shots that happen in between

ive watched dalens closet before but it didnt have the same impact so im going to rewatch it and i still havent seen the search for grog and bob

i might also try to watch some dimension20 in the meantime because they have shorter stories and brennan and aabria are great dms so i want to see more of them!
