critical thinking not being taught as a skill rly rly has its impact on cultures long term like cultures where the education is based more on memorisarion rather than genuine problem solving/thinking for urself tend to be so clearly different in the way they approach their outlooks towards politics and society etc etc

ohhh thats such a good question. but my heart belongs to wherever i can see trees. lots of trees. where you can see rabbits and deer come out at dusk every so often if youre lucky

i'm literally fucked in terms of treatment options. tw for depressing vent in the tags i guess

#got only a few left that might provide a little improvement but they all have adverse effects that could worsen me too #there are so many conflicting aspects to my various conditions #that its proven impossible to find anything that works for one thing without negatively impacting another #the more time i spend researching meds and supplements and the biology of my disorders the more overwhelmed and hopeless i feel #i know its about trying stuff and outweighing pros and cons but ugh. none of this is ideal at all #sorry for saying this but the rational thing would be to kms. i wont but like. i think about that a lot on my worst days #theres been a national debate surrounding assisted dying as of late #and a lot of able bodied people saying they would rather die than live life thats either the same or better than mine etc #feels weird. like am i wrong to endure this #i just want to live so bad i love life and keep hoping it'll be mine again

I'm all for my fellow merch makers making whatever decisions they want with what they produce. But I wish it were more widely known that a clear epoxy coat over acrylic pins and charms will yellow over time. ;;

#there are pros and cons to many things epoxy included!!#like if its a coat over the print then like. it can protect the print itself from getting scratched #and hell it just Looks Nice. the domed effect is very cool :)#when theres glitter in there too??? whoa mama #but yeah. the yellowing. granted it could take a few years for that to start #perhaps also depending on the manufacturer and the epoxy used #as well as sometimes the epoxy surface has like. a residual tackiness to it? (from my vograce experiences)#if you're slow to move merchandise like I am tho. it kinda makes stuff with epoxy feel like a ticking timebomb #unfortunately all my previous charms are epoxy domed bc i didn't know this at the time!! but I'm avoiding epoxy for my new pin sets #and won't be using it for charms again in the future. just as a personal preference.#like dont get me wrong. they'll be fine for a good long while #but i was going through my old charms bought from cons again the other day and even some of the ones from just two years ago #were yellowing 😞#grafftalk #delete later #also the same with clear epoxy resin in typical resin work. bc its the same stuff #but thats why a lot of resin crafts are best done with colour bc it usually hides the effects of the oxidation

why do i keep getting energy and mood crashes these past few days auugghh 😭😭 (<-, they ask, knowing full well they have not given themself a day of rest in two weeks and continuously push themself to do more cleaning than they have energy for)

yes ive thought about starting a discord before! however atm im working on the website when i have time and motivation, so i dont think its its at a stage where its worth making one for.

also i dont think i have the bandwidth to keep an eye on whats happening in a discord while working a full time job (rip) and i dont feel too comfortable giving that work to people who I cant really give anything in return even if they do volunteer

however ill say its not something ill never do 100%. i might revisit the idea if when i feel more confident

#theres a lot of pros from having a discord #like everything being easily accessed in one place (and the feedback and suggestions like u said)#but ik discords can attract all sorts of nonsense and i dont got in me to deal with anything that might happen rn 🫠#and im unfortunately nervous about bringing volunteers in #ill keep thinking on it tho #ik ppl will do it out of passion but im definitely not used to that idea #rn theres not too many ppl on the site and its super early days so im doing well keeping an eye on things on my own #tho whenever i get around to setting up forums and trading my tune my change #it really depends on if everyone can like get along #ask

(Theyre also blushing but i cant figure out why). Both Kenzan and Johan are more focused on Judai tho, which could either be bc theyre both gay for him or cause this takes place post s4 (so theyre happy to see Jou enjoying life again after his depression). Then you have Fubuki and Asuka in the corner. Fubuki is doing his standout uncoordinated cloudcuckoolander bit by not wearing blue/black/white/yellow like everyone else (get with the program, man!) Instead he's going for that... christmas ensemble? With the rare red....tho now I see it, there's also judais pants and the coke bottles and the red cups and oh my god it was a red/blue/green/yellow colour scheme all along. ANYWAY, while Asuka is more serious with her modest clothing and walking boots, she has this small smile. Like, clearly she's not super duper ecstatic over his dumbass ukelele serenades, but she'll humour him today of all days, not just because it's a special day but because she looooves having her brother back.

Final verdict: this pic honestly just gets better the more you look at it. It makes me wish i had synesthesia just so I could taste the cozy hot chocolate vibes. Like its truly utterly immaculate. Kudos to you for all time!!!

#Incrredible absolutely incredible vibes here holy cow. Especially as an australian freezing in midwinter. Unmatched coziness #like it has that top tier cozy wood cottage setting (respect for graining the floor panels btw) so you can practically see the snow outside #I know they're drinking coke but in my heart that is hot chocolate ok it is beautiful hot chocolate and maybe there is pho somewhere #anyway I also really like how the orange/blue/green mesh together in this piece. It's not too uniform or restrained or blocky. Instead #the colours are diffused throughout the piece. This gives it a lot of balance while simultanously preserving the warmth and cohesion #like manjo asuka ryo and johan in their matching obelisk blues + the night sky outside + the blue books + the blue on Yugis poster tv etc #then ofc the green of the plants + yellow/green rug + Jims croco and fubus pants. The green works esp well to bridge the blue and orange #as opposed to a blade runner style scheme. Anyway I also love how you use blue/black shadows. Specifically how they go fuzzy at the ends #With a nice lil orange glow. I think the strongest example of this is Johan. his white shirt really shows off the blue/orange -> purple fuz #It makes the lighting feel really soft. Also mad respect for this whole setting concept like this room is impressively geometrical #and perfectly angled yet it has that lived in clutter vibe with the book under the tv + the abandoned singular sock + the unkempt comic #books + spread cards + etc. Theres also so much personality to it in the kitty rug smiling clock and posters all over.#Im gonna guess its judais place bc pharoah and the pic of Judai and Johan. Also its slightly irresponsible in a very Judai way.#this would NOT be jims place! he would NOT let his croco eat. uh. Movie film? its not croco food is all Im saying. Anyway. Adding into how #cozy and real this piece feels is the excellent lighting work. Not only is there multiple sources of light and shadow but they overlap #impeccably and have a subtle yet defined limit. I particularly love the two lamps by Asuka and Fubuki. The little shadow hatching on the #walls and window sills around them + the soft airbrush lighting makes this lovely subtle yet defined circle shape. Together with the #light coming thru the door its rly nice. Then theres the general shadow on Croco side of the piece with the deeper shadows from the house #ornaments and edo and such. Like its a small thing but it requires so much thought and dedication and fuckin math that I must salute #speaking of maths the most impressive part of this pic geometrically is the wall at edos side. The angle is sharp yet feels so natural.#yknow what I think that gets into the coziness too. The setting is so boxy and well defined that it almost seems to snug hug the characters #we get the sense of a limited space which is filled by the presence personality and warmth of this friend group. Nothing feels empty #this realisation makes me appreciate the cut off second floor that the stairs lead to cause it adds a roof which further boxes em in #the effect is like peeking into a moeblob yugioh diorama. But instead of being saucy or claustrophobic its just so cozy you could die #anyway last notes I love how the calendar on the wall has a little x we can infer is today!!! because the homeowner was So! Excited!!!#and I love the lonely fan on the bookcase and flower on the cactus (that is a well loved spiky boye). Anyway. Now onto the characters!#now onto the characters! (tho I feel like the environment deserves even more love I just dont have the words yknow) to start with #I love all the eye contact and how it economically explains so many relationships. Edo has this smug grin @ Ryo while Manjo looks both #annoyed and unimpressed (maybe because Ryo is late after work?). All of them have suits to show theyre all hard working pro duellists #Sho and Judai are also looking to Ryo but with a more casual vibe like “welcome home bro!” “welcome home bro of my bro!” Theyre also

the fact Kazutora really only has Hanma to go to for advice is both Hilarious™ and Disastrous™. Kazutora knows full well Hanma is not the person to ask but sometimes he will anyways just because. embarrassing as hell to admit i find writing fanfiction kind of fun even though i hate ap3 and fanfiction culture

#its how to say limiting but in a good way. like im more focused on a specific idea #like theres a foundation all set for me to use i can just build on it via worldbuilding #cause if left unchecked my worldbuilding can get wacky (see my world) but if its derivative i go off by the original #LIKE IT PUSHES ME TO BE MORE CREATIVE. I LIKE DOING RESEARCH #and also with all the characters like when it. omes to my own they all sound like me #but i have to at least try to make the characters sound like someone im not which IS fun #and if you know my style of how i write fanfiction u know i treat it like im writing my own original story. it needs to have themes etc #i know i can do original story writing but sometimes i feel overwhelmed by it like too many ideas #basically both have their pros and cons
