It all started with an innocent text. Or at least, that’s how I tried to rationalize it.

I’d been invited to my old friend Emily’s birthday party in London - she’d relocated there a few years back. It was supposed to be a fun, carefree getaway, a chance to reconnect with old friends. But when the invite arrived, nestled deep in the email chain, I couldn’t shake the creeping dread.

Along with me, there were others on the guest list - people I hadn’t seen in years. People who had once made high school and college more difficult than it needed to be. The thought of facing them again sent a cold shiver through me.

Still, I knew I couldn’t skip Emily’s big day. She’d been a real friend through thick and thin, and I’d promised myself I wouldn’t let the bad memories dictate how I lived my life.

So, I sent that text to Hugh, feeling a bit ridiculous.

I hit send before I could second-guess myself. It was the first time I’d asked him to travel for something personal, not work-related or vacation-focused. The sigh of relief I let out could have been heard across the street. I grinned down at the phone, a warmth spreading through me that had nothing to do with the cup of coffee in my hands.

The days leading up to the trip passed in a blur of planning, nerves, and packing. Hugh handled everything with his usual calm, even helping me pick out a dress for the party - a gorgeous satin piece that made me feel like I was ready for the red carpet, even if my stomach was in knots over the thought of facing those old 'friends' again.

"We don’t have to go, you know. If this is going to make you uncomfortable, just say the word."

I shook my head quickly, not wanting to back out now.

"No, I want to go. I just don’t want to spend the whole trip in my head worrying about it."

His expression softened, and he looked at me like he was trying to figure out exactly what to say to make me feel better.

"Well if anyone has a problem with you, they’re the ones who need to grow up."

I smiled, feeling some of the tension ease out of my shoulders. "Thanks, Hugh. I don’t know what I was thinking asking you to come along on this, but I’m really glad you did."

"Are you kidding? A trip to London with you? I’d never pass that up!" he said, his voice light but sincere.

By the time we landed in London, the nerves had faded somewhat, replaced by excitement. We checked into the hotel, and as I watched the city’s skyline from our room, I felt the promise of a good trip begin to settle in my bones. With Hugh here, maybe this would be the perfect opportunity to prove to myself that the past didn’t hold any power over me anymore.

I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the hem of my dress for what felt like the hundredth time. It was a soft satin, flowing in all the right places, hugging my body just right. By any other measure, it was perfect. But tonight, I felt like it wasn’t enough - like I wasn’t enough.

"Everything okay in there?" Hugh’s deep voice filtered in from the hotel room’s balcony, where he was enjoying the sunset. I could hear the lilt of concern, even through the casual tone.

"Yeah!" I called back, trying to steady my nerves. "Just finishing up."

I stared at my reflection, hoping my face didn’t betray the knot of anxiety in my stomach. It had been years since I’d seen some of these people - people who had, at best, pretended to be friends. At worst, they’d made me the butt of their jokes when they thought I wasn’t looking.

They’d perfected the art of making someone feel invisible, but always in a way that you couldn’t call out.

Now, I was about to walk back into that. The only difference? This time, I wasn’t alone. I had Hugh by my side.

As much as I wanted to believe I’d outgrown that insecure version of myself, she was clawing her way back up to the surface, reminding me of every cruel laugh, every dismissive glance.

The door creaked as Hugh stepped inside, making his way toward me. "You look gorgeous." he said, pushing off from the door and coming up behind me, his hands settling gently on my hips. He pressed a soft kiss to my temple, his warm breath brushing against my skin.

"So why do you look like you’re about to faint?"

I let out a shaky laugh, avoiding his eyes in the mirror. "I'm fine, really. Just it’s been a while since I’ve seen these people."

He raised an eyebrow, his hands still resting firmly on my hips. "And that’s what’s bothering you?"

I sighed, feeling the weight of it all pressing down. There was no point in pretending with Hugh. He could always see through me.

"There are people coming tonight who weren’t exactly nice to me. A lot of them didn’t even pretend to be my friends."

I admitted, my voice quieter than I intended. "I know I shouldn’t care, but it’s hard to shake that feeling. What if I’m just setting myself up for more of the same?"

Hugh’s grip tightened slightly on my hips, grounding me in the present.

"Hey.." he said softly, turning me around to face him. His gaze was steady, comforting.

"You’re not that person anymore. And they sure as hell don’t get to make you feel like you are."

I tried to smile, but the anxiety still gnawed at me.

"I know, I just… I want to walk in there feeling confident, like I belong."

He tilted his head, a thoughtful look crossing his face.

"You’re worried about confidence? With the way you look right now?" His eyes traveled over me appreciatively, and for a second, the knot in my stomach loosened.

"Love, you look stunning! You’ve got nothing to prove."

I let out another nervous laugh, though this time it was more from the warmth his words brought.

"Easy for you to say. You’re Hugh Jackman. You were voted the sexiest man alive in 2008. You could wear a garbage bag and people would still be tripping over themselves to tell you how amazing you are."

He laughed, stepping closer, his hand sliding up to cup my cheek.

"Okay, first of all, I’d rock that garbage bag!" He winked, making me smile. "But second - this isn’t about them. This is about you."

I felt his thumb gently brush my cheek as his voice softened.

"I’ve seen you, y/n. I’ve seen the way you handle people, the way you carry yourself. You’ve got more strength in you than they ever gave you credit for. They were wrong to underestimate you."

I looked into his eyes, my heart starting to slow, the tension easing out of my shoulders.

"But what if they try making me feel like that person again?"

Hugh smiled, a slow, confident curve of his lips as he pulled me closer, his forehead resting against mine. "They can try." he murmured. "But tonight, you’ve got something they never had - you know exactly who you are."

His words wrapped around me like a warm blanket, steadying the whirlwind in my chest. "And if that’s not enough." he added, his voice teasing now.

"I’ll be there, by your side, reminding them of what a mistake they made messing with you."

I laughed, the sound more genuine this time, and leaned into his chest.

"Thank you."

He kissed the top of my head before stepping back to get a better look at me.

"But there’s just one thing missing."

"What?"

He turned, heading toward his suitcase on the bed, and after a moment, he pulled out a small, velvet box. My heart skipped a beat, and I glanced at him, confused. We weren’t doing that. Were we?

Hugh chuckled when he saw my expression. "Relax. It’s not what you think."

He opened the box to reveal a delicate pair of earrings, simple yet elegant, catching the light in a way that made them sparkle like stars.

"These.." he said softly, stepping forward and taking one out. "Are for you.”

I blinked, feeling a lump form in my throat. "Hugh, they’re beautiful!"

He grinned as he gently hooked the earring onto my ear.

"I know you don’t need them to look beautiful, but consider them a little extra sparkle to remind you just how stunning you are - inside and out."

I swallowed the sudden emotion welling up inside me as he fastened the other earring. When he was done, I looked back in the mirror, and something had shifted. I turned to face him, my heart swelling. "How do you always know exactly what to say?"

By the time we left, the air between us was lighter, free from the weight of those past insecurities. As we stepped out into the cool night, I turned to Hugh, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"You really did give me the best gift tonight." I said softly, looking up at him.

Hugh smiled, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "What’s that?"

"You made me see myself the way you see me."

He kissed me then, slow and deep, his arms wrapping tighter around me as if to remind me that no matter what, I was enough. I always had been.

"You’re incredible, love." he whispered against my lips. "Never forget that."

And with him by my side, I knew I never would.

Wow this was a crazy episode. Some parts I loved, some parts I was very much not happy with. Mostly the scene with president Loki. I hoped that would be much longer and that it would play more into the overall story, not just a throwaway scene to reference a comic and have a quick laugh. I’m fine with alligator Loki biting off that Loki’s hand, but not with the childish scream afterwards… that felt very out of character.

Can’t wait for the final episode!!! Nothing better happen to Loki or Sylvie. I hope we get to see the other Lokis again. I also want to know more about kid Loki and black Loki. Why did kid Loki kill Thor and how? What’s up with black Loki and what was his nexus event? We didn’t even get to learn about his hammer. I’m fine with not learning about alligator Loki. It’s fine to have that be a fun mystery imo. It was funny seeing throg very briefly too. But I have too many questions that I know won’t be answered in only one more episode which is disappointing. Maybe we can learn more in the supposedly confirmed season two? I hope so. I’m really curious about how they are going to wrap things up and what the fates of everyone will be. I hope this isn’t an isolated event that doesn’t tie into phase four at all. I really want Loki in Multiverse of Madness. Not just Sylvie although idk if we can get both of them in, but I don’t want this show to be Sophia Di Martino’s only appearance in the MCU.

I trust tom Hiddleston but I know marvel doesn’t always allow him to shine through as much as he could. I’m so hopeful for this show but my anxiety is also skyrocketing.

Jake had been watching a few shows on Netflix like Lucifer and some others. His favorite show to watch with his bf however was Outer Banks, he loved watching that show. It wasn’t necessary the best plot for a. Show but Jake liked the show because of the hot Rudy PanKow. He wasn’t a huge celebrity but he was known for his good handsome looks.

Rumor had it that he was Bi-curious, but it was never confirmed. Jake would watch Rudy in the show and stare at the hot alpha man. Then an ad popped up on Netflix, it said one lucky fan would get to meet Rudy. Jake pulled himself up and listen carefully. The commercial said all you need to do is fill out a online application, and the application would be selected randomly. Jake ran to the computer and filled out the application, and he hit send. A few days had passed and he was beginning to have doubts, when he got a phone call. The guy on the other side of the line was Rudy’s Agent calling Jake to congratulate him on winning the contest. The agent told jake that everything was showing to be paid for and that he would be meeting Rudy in two days.

Jake packed his bag gave his bf a kiss and left to the airport. He was flying to South Carolina when the show was being shot, he got to the airport and this private jet was waiting. Jake was treated like a celebrity and soon wished this was his life. After a nice Shrimp and Spaghetti meal made by a chef, Jake slowly drifted off. A couple hours passed when some turbulence awoke jake and he stared out into the dark night sky. He looked over and saw the plane attendant had him a warm towel and jake looked back out the window. A shooting start shot across the sky and jake made a wish. Jake wished again that he was treated like a celebrity.

He then feel back asleep and when he woke they had landed in South Carolina. Jake stepped out of the plane and a black Cadillac was waiting for him, Jake was greeted by the driver and held the door open to let him in. Jake jumped in and Rudy’s agent was waiting for Jake, they greeted each other. The agent went through the schedule, jake was planed to meet Rudy in 5 hours and he would get a sneak peak on set and the next episode. Jake was so excited, they left for the hotel and drank champagne. As the pulled up to the hotel Jake got out and the agent said he would be picking him up in 3 hours. The agent accidentally called Jake Rudy, but he shrugged it off and went inside. He was shown to his room, it was a massive room almost like a condo. He felt so privileged, Jake then noticed a fancy outfit for him to wear. I nice pair of jeans and button up shirt with a beautiful pair of shoes.

Jake hopped in the shower and got dressed and head down to the lobby where the agent was waiting. He was again shown to the Cadillac, they head to the studio when the show was being shot. When they arrived Jake was nervous, he had always wanted to meet Rudy and was so excited and nervous he was gonna day something dumb. They parked and headed inside, he was shown different stages where the shows were shot and met with different cast members.

Then they got to Rudy’s trailer, the agent said he was waiting inside and Jake said he could stay as long as he wanted. The agent left and said goodbye calling his Rudy again, Jake found it odd that he said that again. He locked and he hear a familiar voice tell him to come inside. Jake opened the door and there he was sitting on his couch on his phone. Rudy stood up and introduced the himself and jake did the same. They both sat down for awhile and just talked about a whole range of stuff. That’s when the agent came in and walked up to jake and Rudy. He pulled out a syringe and stuck fist Rudy then jake. The two passed out, when jake awoke he felt weird. He leaned up and saw the agent on the phone with his back turned. He stood up and tried to get passed him but the agent knew he was awake.

Agent~”so how do u feel? Hope your not mad at me for sticking u with a needle haha”

Jake~”dude wtf did u do and why do I feel so different, I’m gonna have u arrested”

Agent~” Relax Rudy, this is a good thing, and u feel different cuz u are different” the agent pointed behind him.

Jake~” stop calling me Rudd......” jake stoped as he turned around to see his body lying on the couch. Jake looked at his hands and they looked different and his face felt strange. He ran to the mirror and saw that he was no longer jake but Rudy. Could it be the shooting star wish actually worked.

Jake~”what does this mean exactly, I’m not Rudy who’s going to do the show?”

Agent~”you are Rudy, u have seen the show more then anyone. You know it just as well as old Rudy dose.”

Jake~”your joking right? I mean I wanted to be Rudy but this isn’t real is it?”

Agent~”100% real, I’m ur agent and ur my client Rudy now they need you on set. Don’t worry about ur old body and old Rudy, he’s you but he won’t remember anything and he will think he’s Jake. So he will go back to his life and you will take his place. The reason we did this is because Rudy was wanting to leave the show to make music. So we could let him leave, I hope your up for ur fame. You got a small glimpse of it, but there so much more.

Jake~”This is great, I mean a little weird but I’ve always wanted to live a celebrities life. Oh no what about my bf?”

Agent~” I was wondering when u were gonna ask about that, we flew him in and told him about the whole thing he can’t wait to meet his new bf. Should I send him in Rudy?”

Jake~” yes sir pls do, bye Rudy have fun as jake. Hope you enjoy the show just as much as I do”

With that Jake went outside and his bf was waiting for him and gave him a big hug and marveled at his new bfs physique. Rudy soon came out as bi and the preds ate this up with pics of Rudy and his bfs vacation. Rudy made his way up and even landed some big time movies deals. Back home Jake always watched Rudy’s movies and admired him, poor old Rudy you had it all.

I’m honestly writing this last out of them all as I thought I’d ramble about a lot of things, but one thing that stuck out to me and I feel is perfect is Issei buying them a house. Him already setting up all Christmasy etc; but that being the main gift from him to her. Him getting lots of other things as well BUT this was the one thing that slapped me last moment and I couldn’t see him doing anything else now and honestly makes me feel so emotional about them. But Issei wanting to show how serious he is about being with her and just doing that.

I can't deal with this, in less than 1 hour I have to face the most fucked up exam that will determine if I'm worth it as a doctor or if I have to spend another year in an emotionally wrecking job where I will never get recognition nor professional growth... So I'm writing this bit since I have nothing else better to do and my anxiety actually gives me inspiration. Also this is deeply personal so feel free to ignore it, is just an outlet for my conflicted brain.

The bartender gives you a meaningful look and you nodded "no" one more time that night, take another sip of your drink and finally let go a small laugh received by a roll of her eyes.

"What's wrong with that one?" She asked looking discreetly at the man that sited a couple spaces from you. "He is single, not bad looking, and also a good tipper, I mean I'm not saying marry him, but you said you wanted to meet new people so that's a good chance"

"His socks don't match his outfit" you said obviously lying, the man was indeed good looking, and that was what actually scared you, buying a drink for such handsome men and getting unapologetically rejected.

"That's bullshit and you know it, the last one was wearing too much green, and the other one had... a bad personality was it?" She was actually enjoying teasing you about the lame excuses you use. "You know what? You are buying that drink to the next man that crosses that door, no more excuses"

You were about to object her decision when the bar door opened and nice gentleman walked in, he was probably 87 and had a cane and a nice hat, he actually reminded you of your grandpa.

"Fine, I would gladly bought him a cranberry juice" you said to your friend and you both started laughing and made a polite wave to the man that was already siting in a table far from you.

"Ok the first one you can actually have a conversation with" She said once you were calmed "Seriously Y/N you were the one of the idea, and I'm truly done with your attitude..." She stoped mid sentence and looked at the door for a brief second and you immediately try to look but she didn't let you "Oh no baby, you sit here, and let Y/BF/N do the rest, don't even dare to look"

She quickly moved to the other side of the bar and you could not see who had come in, no matter how hard you tried, you only hoped your friend didn't try to set you up with a stranger, but as she had said earlier that day most of the people in that bar were regulars, so she probably knew him, it was the wicked smile on her face when she walked away what scared you.

After five minutes she came back triumphantly and your concerned grow wider, why on earth you have suggested this dumb idea? You could have chosen a bad tattoo, or something with less consequences to your selfesteem.

"Well he said thanks, and asked why the nice gesture, I said just because" She said with a smug on her face, then she pointed behind her back and you could see a silhouette with jeans and a light brown corduroy jacket "He is over there, so you can pretend that you are going to put a tip on the jar and casually say to him I hope you enjoyed the scotch, and see what happens, or you can walk out of here and I would never take anything you said seriously in my life" She had that way to say serious things and make them sound innocuous.

"Ok fine I'll go, I'm serious if this go wrong I will fucking kill you" You said and stood up walking towards the mystery man, you were hiding your nerves making your hands into fists inside the pockets of your jacket, and repeating in your mind I hope you enjoyed the scotch over and over again. Finally you approach the fishbowl filled with money and took a twenty out of your pocket, you took a deep breath and put on your best approach to a smile before turning around and looking at the handsome man in front of you "Hi, I hope you enjoyed the sco... Y/BF/N you little shit!" The words came out of you mouth and you look angry at your friend that was laughing desperately.

There holding back his laugh and looking at you completely surprised was none other than Bill Hader, in any other occasion you would be looking discreetly from the distance and definitely not screaming profanities in front of him, your friend knew about your eternal crush on him and she obviously took her opportunity, once she turn her back and start taking an order for other costumer you realize you had two choices, either walk away embarrassed or actually talk to him.

"I must apologize" Your mouth chose before your brain again "Hi, I'm Y/N and this is a tragic incident I'm so sorry I will go away now" You said trying to escape with some dignity.

"Oh that's too bad, I thought you have actually send me a drink, I can still drink it right?" He said and you suppressed the urge to laugh with the excitement that he actually spoke to you.

"Of course, that's not what I meant, I ... I made a... sort of a commitment with my friend to be more social, and one of those things were to invite a drink to someone I found attractive..." You could feel your cheeks turning red and you look anywhere but him. "So anyway I chicken out so she chose for me, and I'm so sorry again for disturbing your night" you were once again about to leave when he talked.

"So does that mean your friend finds me attractive and you don't?" Apparently he was having the time of his life with this whole interaction so you felt some form of confidence and you could answer less embarrassed.

"Oh no, she knows I found you attractive, that's why she didn't tell me it was you here, in other circumstances I would be over there" you pointed to a booth behind a corner "Taking a million pictures and not talking to you"

"Well that wouldn't go well with the promise you make to your friend" He sound sincere and you were happy to talk to him as well "What's that about, why do you need to be more social?"

"It's a sad, long and boring story" you answered suddenly feeling anxious again.

"Well I haven't finish my drink" He started and then two other drinks appear in front of you from the hands of Y/BF/N

"On the house" she said with a wink and quickly walked away.

"Ok, prepare to be bored to dead" Yo said taking a sip of the tequila she served.

"I don't think I will, so your name is Y/N, and you wanted to buy me a drink, thanks by the way" He said signaling the stool in front of him so you could seat.

"Yeah, well I turned 30 last week, and I don't know the whole what am I doing with my life? thing started to take a toll on me, I realized I haven't done anything remarkable or fun or meaningful in years, I don't have a husband or kids, nor like I want a husband and kids, but I thought at least I'll have an offer by now, so I make this bucket list of things I must definitely do before I turn fifty and I have another existential crisis." You told him and he seemed genuinely intrigued by your story.

"What sort of things?" He asked taking a sip of the new glass of scotch. "Apart of course from speaking to strangers in a bar"

"Point a place in the map and just go there, learn to speak Chinese, date a guy with a six pack, some are childish, some are important, like quit my job and do what I actually want to do" they were all dreams, but actually made you feel better on bad days.

"Date a guy with a sixpack?" He said laughing.

"Yeah, you know to see why people make such a big deal about it" you said. "Anyway, that's my story, pathetic and sad'

"I don't think it is" he was looking straight at you with those piercing blue eyes of him, there was something about that unshaven jawline that hypnotized you and you were praying he wouldn't notice "It takes courage to actually do what you want, and on the husband and kids thing if you don't actually want it maybe you shouldn't measure your success on whether or not you have them"

You kept talking for another hour until the clock at the bar marked 11:00 and even when yo didn't want this moment to end you had to pop the bubble and face reality.

"So this was really fun, but I have to work tomorrow" you started not sure where you wanted to get.

"And I have to pick up my children tomorrow, hey I don't actually have a six pack" he started and you thank the bar for holding you because your legs stopped working "But if you want to get coffee sometime, or talk, or buy me another drink" he wrote his number in a small card and put it on your hands "Good luck on that list" he said with a wink and walked out of the bar.

While the excited screams of Y/BF/N sound far away you hold on to that card thinking this was the absolutely best idea she could ever have and that maybe, just maybe there was some better things waiting for you.

♡ The first time he sleeps over, her parents were skeptical, considering he’s a guy

♡ Keith hates dressing formal, but he helps Allura with her hair and her dress sometimes ♡ They make fun of some of the party guests even though Allura says it’s rude (she’s trying not to laugh)

♡ They threaten to send her to a private school if she keeps hanging out with him, whICH SHE IS SO NOT HAPPY ABOUT BECAUSE HE’S HER BEST FRIEND???

♡  Allura texts him what happened, she says she’s sorry but she can’t associate with him anymore.

♡ Keith texts her nonstop that night, telling her how thats bullshit, if theres anything he wants him to do to make her feel better - no responses

♡ Allura doesn’t talk to him at school, but only when necessary.

♡ Keith goes to raves alone again, but it isn’t as much fun when Allura isn’t there to make fun of him and point out cute guys hanging around

♡ Of course, not feeling it that night he decides to get outta there and just head home instead. Bumps into a few guys on the way out.

♡ Of course, gets into a fight despite him saying he was sorry and all. 

♡ One of the dudes ends up snapping the kandi Allura made for him, he fucking LOSES IT AND GOES OFF

♡ Keith’s still pissed, but is picking up the beads so he can fix it at home. His phone battery is almost dead, so there’s not much light to help him out. No texts from Allura either

♡ Someone offers to help him out, shining their own phone flashlight on the ground. It’s Lance, the DJ for that night, just finished packing up and heading out.

♡ Lance asks why he’s looking for beads if he could just replace them, looking at all the other various kandis on Keith’s arms.

♡  Keith has trouble responding nicely to that, still looking for the beads his BEST FRIEND gave to him.

♡  Lance doesn’t say much else, just helps out.

♡ Keith makes a mental note to remake the bracelet with a stronger string so it doesn’t break again.

♡ Alluras so miserable without her bestie to help keep her spirits high during family parties, she has no one to make fun of the pompous assholes with

♡ Alluras parent’s notice and when she tells them how important of a friend Keith is to her, they make an agreement. Don’t let him interfere with her schoolwork, and try not to be out so late - or at least keep them updated consistently

♡ Allura and Keith’s reunion at school is the cheesiest shit ever. Slow motion run and hugging with flowers and everything

♡ Allura, sobbing hysterically into Keith’s sweater that he’s worn for 4 days straight “I MISSED YOU SO FUCKING MUCH YOU EMO BASTARD” ♡ Keith, trying not to cry but will probably cry because he;s hugging her back so fucking tight. “I MISSED YOU TOO YOU FLUFFY PINK BITCH.”

♡  Lance, with his phone out silently recording his soon to be bf and the student body pres on the ground sobbing and hugging each other

♡ When Lance and Keith do eventually get together, Allura makes Kandis (Keith has taught her well) for all of them

♡ Keith is so proud - and probably crying again

♡ When security goes “No Entry-” 

♡ “It’s fine, my boyfriend’s the DJ” Says Keith, with a smug smile on his face when he and Allura go to raves now

I think it’s always a good sign when you’re aunt in law comes home twice. I love how they took your name seriously with the bird wings.
