This is from last month; it's an experiment with different brushes. Characters depicted: Bangles, Wishful the Bushwoolie, Princess Royal Blue, and Smokey the dragon.

Look who finally showed up!!

Chumster here was MIA since July 2021! Sis had accidentally knocked over the MLP drawers he was in and I found everyone else but him. I tore the whole upstairs apart looking but nothing. Just a week or two ago I randomly opened the drawer AND THERE HE WAS. Mom and Sis denied finding him and my nieces would have brought him to me if they had found him. Weird.

Here he is with the others, so happy to have him back!!

Rep: Wait! Let me talk to Catrina. Maybe I can get you shorter hours?

Bushwoolies: Shorter hours, yeah!

Purple Bushwooly: Too late for that.

Bushwoolies: Too late! Too late! Too late!

Rep: H-how about a week off every summer?

Bushwoolies: Yeah! Yeah! A week off, yeah!

Purple Bushwooly: No! Shut off the witch weed machine!

-Bushwoolies shut off the machine-

Rep: What about better food? A-a window so you can see out?

Bushwoolies: Yeah! A window! Good idea, yeah!

Purple Bushwooly: No! Bushwoolies, unite!

Bushwoolies: Yeah! Unite! Unite!

-Bushwoolies roll themselves into balls and roll for the exit, while Rep balances precariously on top of them-

Rep: Please- don't do this to me!

-Rep slams into the wall as the Bushwoolies escape through a hole at the base-

Bushwoolies: Escaaaaape!

-cut to Catrina, as she wakes up from her nap on her throne and stands up-

Catrina: Reeeeeep!

-Rep runs to her so fast his cloths flap in his own wake-

Rep: Yes!

Catrina: Do you hear anything?

Rep: No?

Catrina: Neither do I- the bushwoolies have stopped working!

-Rep looks uncomfortable-

Rep: Actually, Catrina, that's not exactly true.

Catrina: Then they're still working?

-Rep looks very, very uncomfortable-

Rep: Well, no..... they escaped.

-Catrina grabs him-

Catrina: Escaped!? How can they escape, you were guarding them!

-Catrina tosses him behind the throne and leaves-

-Rep lands with a crash but quickly gets up and runs after her-

-cut to outside in a forest, as a perfectly innocent bush rises up to reveal Catrina and Rep riding in a secret elevator-

This is so interesting!! This explains why they're animated with the sweater sleeves in the intro and in a handful of episodes!

I'm truly baffled by this design choice since the sleeves look like such a pain to animate and they didn't have them in Escape From Catrina or the movie.

And naturally, this was part of a cartoon tie-in.

I wonder if, for your infection au, if there would be a split in those who want a cure and those who don't. And even more of a split on the reasons why

Since this has no gore and blood, and those change are, in their own way, happy and okay, it probably creates split in responses. Maybe with Spike, he's found and taken and used to help. This possibly either makes a cure, or makes things worse as some time magic just now brings in creatures of the past to now. Or chnages more than just ponies. Like the Bushwoolies! As in the original they could talk and had a community, but in G4 they were more like wild animals. So maybe they regain the ability to talk.

Maybe the Breezies become more like the flutterponies, or some ponies become like them, with some help from magic. As the magic could be use to help with a dysphoria some may feel. Like giving some wings, or others a fake horn (like some headband)

Taking the cure, if there is one, surely would split everyone up! If someone is turned completely they are truly changed, no matter how much someone might miss the "old" them. So yes, why would someone, who found themselves in a new, strange world, with ponies that are their friends but really not but somehow finally settled...why would they want to change?

Maybe there are some who cannot handle being in this strange new place with strange new ponies and accept that there is another them happier? but ultimately the infection would drive them to want to stay like that I'd say. (I say as if I don't make the rules haha)

AWw the smol ponies absolutely can get infected in that case. How terrible for them haha
