Details of my bind of A princess of Mars
Since I kept making small mistakes. Starting with the wrong printing format, then forgetting to adjust the sewing so I could trim (I did not plan for margins quite as large as they are... ). The backing turned a bit wonky too. So I decided I'd try some new things on this book.
I wanted to use the interference colours I have with a different base coat. They come out best with a black or dark ground colouring. Before I used oak gall ink, because that was what I had (and I love to watch the magic happen when it turns from translucent blue to black), but iron, in whatever form, is the last thing you want in a book because it will rust and damage the paper over time.
So I did some testing with a few different inks to check for effect and smudging and eventually switched to a china ink.
The one I got has a really nice black with a slight gloss to it. That should have tipped me off, but I kept going and just painted the edge with the interference colour acrylic ink just to watch how it gathered in the lowest part (I did the front edge with the curve first) and took forever to dry. Trying to help that with a hair dryer only needed me up with a pattern of tiny ripples. When I opened the book I could see the paint had been too thick in some parts and flaked off a bit. I diluted and kept painting, with way better results, eventually, but it's still not completely even on the front edge (the picture here is the 3. or 4. result... I was just tired to keep going at that point). The top and bottom edge look fine though.
Covering the case was a bit of an adventure too for a few reasons. I wanted to avoid and gaps... but first I failed to accurately estimate the stretch of my different papers then I forgot to consider the overlap and figuring out which part should overlap which was a challenge. I went of the green layer that wraps all around the case as top layer so it could cover all pointy edge I had not covered yet. The pointy bits are always the most likely to take damage or get loose. So I had that taken care off. I still have a small spot on the backside that's not the layer it's supposed to be, but it blends in well enough with the other colours.
Another thing that I did not think of was, when I cut the onlays was how overlapping would impact the shape. the yellow was supposed to be a nice slanting hill in the foreground... well, I would have had to keep that in mind for the overlapping toplayer.
I also thought about titling the cover and even got as far as test titling with copper, gold, creme, red and brown (the line between creme and brown, that's red, I know it's turned invisible, bu it is there). None of the results made me overly happy though so I skipped it.
Last thing, but I'm not sure whether it's a mark of the construction or the hinge is too small, the backing not sufficient, is the opening angle of the covers. It opens alright, but when I push the cover a bit down it drags the text block along and it looks like there's too much tension on it to me. I'll have to see for my next binds if I can optimise that.
I liked the spread out design enough to make it a picture for my wall ^^

my (first floor) bedroom faces onto a main road that several bus routes go down, mostly single decker routes though so most of them do NOT have seating directly level with my window. however tfl have of course optimised their timetables so the handful of double decker buses using this street only ever appear (and get stuck in traffic right outside my building) when i am walking around said bedroom at least half naked with the curtains wide open

Finally got to go out with KHML and I have thoughts.
One thing that I suspected and am even more sure of now is that this game was made with a daily two way commute in mind, preferably on public transport where you can pay attention to your phone. The placing of all interactable points along roads/railways, their spacing, the presence/function of the "hands free" mode, and the way several types of interaction point are not fixed but move and respawn make it so that I think the main use of the game's gps play is expected to be this:
Fire it up on your commute in the morning (bus/train to work, school bus, drive or cycle with it on in hands free mode) and grab what you can along the way, then by the time it's time for the commute back things will have reset and you can get new things on the way back. What you find will be different each trip. You'll slowly rack up AP to use to teleport and access world map content out of your way. Short local walks are also an option, and fighting Heartless spawns seems to be better optimised for that.
A lot of things clicked for me when I realised that the game seems to be designed around the assumption that going places on public transport (or as a passenger) is something you do regularly and without thinking too much about barriers like cost. I can't do an analysis of this because there are no purchases in the beta, but going by how gacha premium currency is usually priced I suspect that for me it would be a close call between spending the cash on premium currency and spending it on a daily bus trip for fewer, lower grade rewards.
...But they do seem to be aware of what a limiting factor gaining AP is, because today we got handed via daily bonus what amounts to fuck you money in terms of AP so people can access content that requires it without worrying about running out. (Or enough to instantly unlock one whole premium reward chest that otherwise takes 5 days to sit and count down to unlocking). It's something that may well be rebalanced for a full release.

Okay but, like, I cannot express enough how much I love Aabria’s character choices in this latest episode (WBN #8). In a game where it’s so easy to fall into the trap of wanting to Optimise your character/party at every single moment, it’s so incredible listening to a master of deliberately not doing that at work. I mean, it was plenty good enough when she had Suvi outright throw Pain under the bus (perfection, in fact), but the rings??? THAT’S what’s really got me. The fact that Suvi knows full well how pleased Eursulon is over the ‘strongest man’ title, but then would so casually- so instinctively and disdainfully- toss aside a ring she knows would give him such a boost in that area (despite how much of a boon it could potentially be for them going forward)? I Love it. I love that Aabria has been so open and so willing to lean into and explore Suvi’s flaws and biases to this degree- both her innate ones and the ones instilled in her by her time in the citadel. And I cannot wait to see how these kinds of decisions impact the group going forward, as well as how Suvi herself changes throughout this campaign.

If you're still doing the AU mixing: Sugar Daddy AU + Magic AU? 👀
-Okay so Reggie learns when he is sixteen that trying to do his potions homework and fix his amp in the rain at the same time is NOT a good idea because now every time he sneezes he turns into a cat. Also, he flunked his potions assignment.
-The free clinic basically shrugged and said: that's rough buddy here's some nose spray so for any seasonal allergies I guess.
-"At least you're a cute cat," Luke tries to comfort him. Which is true. He's fluffy and orange and he has little tiny white socks.
-There are actually a lot of advantages to being a cat. Besides the whole 'sneezing' part, but he gets better at controlling that as well. Cute girls and guys will give him attention. He can nap just about anywhere. Bobby is immune to his puppy eyes but somehow cannot so no to his Sad Kitty Eyes.
-It's not until they graduate and move in together that he fully optimises his Kitty Cat Experience. Because yeah, four guys crammed into a one bedroom apartment is a great band origin story once they're famous, but Three Guys and a cat who can comfortably curl up on the sofa is a lot easier to handle.
-And then one day, when he 's out Catting, being adorable at cute girls at the park, one of them offers him some of the meat on her sandwich in exchange for petting him (jokes on you, cute girl, he wanted you to pet him!). Still, it's like a lightbulb moment. He's a cute cat. People will give him food if he is adorable enough.
-He starts testing it. Being cute at people holding hotdogs, and fries, and donuts. He gets a bit of 'no kitty donuts are people food', but he's pretty successful all in all. The butcher loves him. The lady with the fish stall in Chinatown does too. The guy at the bodega on the corner tries to give him some meat but the bodega cat squares up with him and Reggie knows he's not going to win that fight. He's seen Bodega Cat send dogs twice her size running.
-Listen, they're barely scraping by between their shitty jobs and gig money, so when Reggie says: it's cool you can have my fourth of the pizza, the guys are suspicious but grateful when he explains.
-"Dude, you're thinking too small," Bobby says, after a while. "You should go to like, a rich neighbourhood and scam people out of salmon and caviar."
"I don't think that's..." Alex starts, but Reggie is already jumping up.
"Bobbers that's brilliant!" he says.
-Yes he gets Luke to brush him before he changes back to human, gets on a bus, and goes to the Fancy Part Of Town.
-He quickly finds that Fancy Restaurants and Cafés and Butcher Shops are mean. Even with his freshly brushed fluffy coat and his saddest cute kitty eyes, they chase him off. One of them even tells him to scram and calls him a street cat. Rude.
-He decides to try rich people houses instead. Surely there must be some kind of rich old lady who would love to pamper a pretty cat like himself? It takes a couple of tries, and a quick escape from a very well-groomed poodle, but he manages to get into a nice yard. He carefully sneaks across the manicured lawn, hoping to peek inside, when a delighted voice comes from his right.
"Well hello there!"
-There is a man lounging by the pool. A very handsome, very attractive, nearly naked man in just some very tight little swim shorts. And he looks happy to see Reggie. That's way better than a little old lady.
-He goes over, just out of reach, twisting his head just so to look cute and curious. This always works with cat people, and of course the handsome man carefully leans over, making beckoning noises, and holds out his hand for Reggie to sniff.
"Aren't you just the prettiest little thing?"
-His hands smell like Good Food, and Reggie goes in for the kill. He nuzzles the guy's fingers, lets himself be pet, and then flops down to expose his fluffy tummy.
Hello, I am indeed adorable, you should give me rich people food, he thinks as hard as he can.
-"Are you hungry, little guy? I think I have some nice smoked salmon in the fridge. Would you like some salmon?"
-JACKPOT.
-He spend the entire afternoon being pampered and petted and cooed over, and most importantly, fed bits of salmon and prosciutto. He falls asleep in a nice warm lap with a perfectly manicured hand petting him, and when he wakes up an hour later, the handsome man is still looking adoringly at him.
When Reggie gets up and stretches, he bumps his head against the guy's elbow in thanks, before setting off. The man waves at him.
-He comes home well-fed and smug, and Bobby just shakes his head and says 'I can't believe that worked' before dibs-ing Reggie's portion of the cheap takeout.
-He starts going over to Hot Rich Guy's house once a week. The man is just always so happy to see him, and always seems to know exactly what he wants, whether that's food or a snuggle or a scritch right at the base of his tail. Also he's really easy on the eyes, and Reggie won't lie, getting to curl up on that chest while they laze in the sun together is a special treat of its own.
-Hot Rich Guy is named Caleb, and it turns out he's a pretty powerful wizard. Like, one that's on Councils and stuff. Reggie has no idea what he actually does, but he loves to sit and watch when Caleb decides it's time to clean the kitchen, watching the dishes wash themselves, and fly through the air. He also likes the little magic toys Caleb makes just for him, mousies that zoom around, paper cranes that flutter until he leaps to catch them. He may not be an actual cat, but it's still fun.
-"You know, I started out as a street magician," Caleb tells him, flicking another magic paper crane for Reggie to grab. Caleb usually switches between talking to him like he's a human, and gushing 'who's a handsome boy' and other cutesy talk. "Sometimes I miss the simplicity of it. I just made people happy."
He sounds sad, so Reggie abandons stalking the crane to nuzzle at Caleb's chin, purring. You make me pretty happy, he thinks. He can feel the man smile against his fur.
-Okay, so maybe he starts going over even more, sometimes even spending the night with what the guys have affectionately started calling 'Reggie's Salmon Daddy'. (Which was unfair. Caleb also gave him crab, and shrimp, and even steak.) But well, Caleb had gotten him his own comfy little pillow to sleep on in his own bedroom, which is way better than the couch.
Though sometimes he still spends the night with the guys, sleeping on top of Bobby's face just to annoy him, or purring on Alex' chest to keep his anxiety from spiraling into thinking terrible things. It's pretty hard to think your friends hate you when one of them is literally on top of you, making the 'I'm so happy' sound.
-Still, Caleb has maybe installed a little magic catflap for him so he can come and go as he pleases. And gotten him one of those waterfall pet bowl things to drink out of. And a comfy cat bed. And a high end scratch post, even though Reggie would never put his claws into the guy's expensive furniture.
And okay, he also has his own little pillow in the bedroom. But he has been known to hop on the bed and snuggle up to Caleb. Listen, the man is really hot and way out of his league, and Reggie knows he'd never have a shot with him as a human. But he lets himself indulge in snuggling against the guy's muscular, sexy chest and dreaming sometimes. Cats are hedonistic little bastards, he tells himself, so he's allowed.
-He's curled up in the perfect patch of sunlight on Caleb's bed one morning when the man comes out of the shower, toweling off his hair and not wearing anything else. Steam billows out of the bathroom door, and the whole thing is so much like the beginning of a hot romance novel scene that Reggie finds himself having very explicit, very human thoughts about what he'd like to do with that naked man.
"Good morning, Kitten," Caleb says, and is it just Reggie, or is his smile bordering on a smirk?
-Yes he maybe makes sure he's there more often when Caleb gets ready in the mornings. Maybe he even swaps to the afternoon shift at his part-time job at the pet store some days of the week.
-So he's pretty happy. He's getting better meals, they have more breathing room because Reggie basically doesn't need to eat at home most of the time anymore, and when he's not with the guys, he gets to hang out with this hot guy who adores him. Well, cat-him.
-Until one morning.
One morning after he slept over, and hopped on to the bed and dramatically snuggled and made himself at home against Caleb's chest, while he chuckled and scratched that perfect spot at Reggie's ears. He fell asleep purring, comfortable and warm.
He also woke up comfortable and warm. There was a hand draped over his waist, and a nose pressed into his hair. Reggie sighed happily, snuggling back into the embrace, wrapping his own hand around the arm.
Wait.
Wait, hands! He wasn't supposed to have hands right now.
Behind him, a rumble. "Good morning, Kitten."
Oh no. Oh noooo. "I can explain."
"Oh can you now?" Caleb asks, sounding amused. He props himself up on one arm, looking down at Reggie, and man, he's just as handsome with human vision.
He runs through several semi-convincing lies, but Caleb just quirks an eyebrow at him. "Before you open your mouth, please do consider that I can literally hear your thoughts."
"You can?" Oh no, oh no, he was going to be turned back into a cat but like, forever. Or worse.
"I'm not going to harm you, Kitten," Caleb says. "But yes. They're quite loud. You really project them when you're a cat."
Oh.
Oh no.
"Even the ones I had when you got out of the shower?"
The smirk is back. "Especially those. They were really quite vivid."
-Turns out having a Salmon Daddy isn't so bad as a human either. Their first date? Sushi, of course.

Fair Warning: This post is very rambly. Super fucking long. And has a bunch of paragraphs about topics that to be quite frank deserve their own post. This is me TLDRing like 7 different essays because I have a lot to say and can't shut the fuck up but this is despite it all still a tumblr post.
The fact that SSO exists at all in the year 2023 is not an achievement in and of itself.
That's the TLDR to this post I'm about to write because that's basically what I think, but there is a longer discussion to have here. And I think it's a discussion worth having because despite it all we still live in a world where gender makes people irrationally fucking mad, and so therefore here I am to talk shit about a horse game which I have called mediocre all day.
Well, if you don't want to read this entire thing, here's all you need to know:
If Animal Crossing in the year of 2020 can define the first year of the pandemic for basically half the internet, then SSE can optimise their game a little better in the year 2023.
And here's wonderwall: (But before wonderwall, obvious disclaimer that I'm just one cis not-het woman Swede who has opinions about things, I'm not going to solve centuries of oppression on my fucking tumblr dashboard. Neither are SSE gonna solve it, nor immortalise it, with their mediocre MMO, we all know this we are smart, let's go.)
To SSO's credit, I think it's nice that SSE has wholly embraced the fact that they are a very feminine game primarily played by and targeted towards young girls, despite it all we still need more of that, and it's cool that they're trying the most. (Just wish they wouldn't completely throw their especially above average transmasc audience under the bus for this but that is genuinely not my post to make as I am not transmasc and this post isn't about that, but all I'm saying is that SSE aren't flawless and I was here for both 2011 and 2022 so I happen to know when they literally lie about why this game was created in the first place.)
However,
There is a difference between "We want to bring quality to this audience which usually doesn't get quality" and "Because we're the only ones targeting this audience we don't need to worry about quality". Settling for the latter, especially today, isn't actually that progressive nor is it helping anyone, especially if we're talking about the game's general quality.
So, I know that talking about like, what is a "good" game or whatever will always be a wall to wall conversation, because everyone has different ideas of what good means. (see: Some people going "I enjoy this so it's good" and some going "I enjoy this but it Isn't good" at Dorian's poll) This isn't a problem at all it's simply how the human experience works. However, if we're talking about the good as in "objective" quality, then I think we need to remember something.
It's not 2011 anymore, and being a girls game, standalone, isn't an achievement anymore. We expect some fucking effort by now.
We don't live in a world where you as an 8 year old kid have to pick between playing COD or playing SSO exclusively (a choice made in 2011 by me as an 8 year old for reference, I literally was there, don't worry). We have a lot wider a selection of games to choose from, and we live in an industry which has also gotten a Lot better at actually celebrating less traditionally masculine games.
For example, Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, to name two examples, would probably be pretty dismissed in 2011, had they released then, because they're games that in general are seen as more feminine. (Slower, cute aesthetics, about farming, has cute little guys in them in AC's case.) But nowadays, they're some of the most popular games around, and they're games that most people, regardless of gender, have played. And obviously people still make fun of them, but it isn't cool to make fun of them anymore. Y'all remember when everyone and their mother was playing New Horizons as it came out during the perfect time for everyone to play it just as the pandemic started? And that's a really feminine game if we want to divide games into feminine and masculine, which we at the end of the day will do because humans are obsessed with binary opposition. And it still defined a whole year for a whole bunch of people!
And obviously you might say that it's unfair to compare little ol' SSO to these games. And it is. If we're comparing them as games on a technical equal ground. But we're not. I'm exemplifying that games that are more feminine/played by a lot of women don't have to suck.
So by, conciously or subconciously, implying that SSO Can't be as good as other games or Shouldn't Be Expected To Be simply because women's games just Are worse, you're dismissing the fact that feminine games Do succeed, especially recently. Not only on the market, but as entertainment. And no matter what game you make, no matter what damn resources you have, you better make sure that your audience can fucking play it with the specs you yourself recommend. Because letting a company get away with settling for mediocrity further normalises girls' games not needing to be as good because they're already so shit that someone even trying is good enough. Which in 2023, is Not good enough. Even young girls deserve not to shill out tens of thousands, which they Do Not Have, for super PCs just because SSE forgot to optimise their open world game.
Lastly, all I'm saying is that if we're going to say "Yes, SSO is good." Don't follow it up with "Compared to women's games from 2005 that are so dead nobody remembers them anymore." Because SSO is a game that exists in 2023, and at some point we have to acknowledge that. And if this game wants to survive another decade, I think the first people who need to move away from 2011, is its audience.
Women’s games don’t have to suck. And implying that they do says more about you than it does about the game. Especially if your idea of “good standard” for women’s games. are almost 20 years old. At some point, we All have to move into the present times. Even if your game of choice is a little behind.
#Anyways sorry for this#This also goes into another thing I've been seeing which is comparing SSO to older games that are long since dead#Eh hate to break it to you people#But SSO exists in 2023#And we Need to acknowledge that#Drops this and goes into hiding#This is very tldry and as stated I could make separate posts about each of these topics#And tbfh it kinda switches points halfway through#But I have So Much Shit to say about this so here it is#Basically#SSO is an old game with a lot of outdated leftover shit to figure out#And#SSO exists in 2023 and at some point we need to judge it as such#Can and should coexist

We're in one
Do you know how you know you are living in a dictatorship?
I spent pretty formative years in the part of Germany that had only gotten out of one a little more than ten years prior. All the adults you met had been through it, all the young people had been raised by people who had been through it and had been through parts of it themselves. There was a wave of books coming out sharing the experience of it, the feelings never before spoken, the lengths people went through to protect themselves and their spirit.
Well, here is what I learnt:
You are constantly trying to get around the system.
When this millenial grew up, getting around the system was generally frowned upon. After all, the system was benenficial, and as such, needed to be contributed to.
My ex-GDR fellow students did not have that experience.
How to get any real information? How to get any consumer good that wasn't alcohol? (There was always alcohol.) How to get through winter? How to get connections with someone who could get you stuff? How to escape surveillance?
There was an inherent sense that the only way to get through unscathed was through sharing what anyone could get. Yes, fine, you could align yourself with the system, too - if it would let you - in order for the system to let you bypass it. Specialty shops for high profile party members. Travel passes for athletes, that kind of thing. Spying 'privileges'. Knowing someone who had connections abroad. But nobody, absolutely nobody, would rely only on what the system would grant an average individual working inside it. You had to know a guy who knows a guy.
None of that was strictly allowed, mind - "west relations" would torpedo any high profile career, if it got you better coffee - but not doing it was simply not feasible.
I am thinking of this so much right now with all the cost of living bullshit going on.
Everything is becoming a luxury. Heating your house. Buying soap that will not make you allergic. Not being surveilled. Making any ethical decision whatsoever. And, as it was there, the capitalist system is not completely airtight. If you want, you can indeed swerve it - when knowing the right go arounds, or sharing resources, or using other people's special memberships, or having a rich uncle, or going analog, or opting out of services or taking all kinds of extra special measures to get what you want despite the system. It's no longer enough to simply pledge your time and taxes and have access to the basic goods and services humans need to build happy communities.
"But at least you're not being bombed, so -"
No. That's straight out of the Hunger Games. "At least you're not in a real war." Wars are not a yardstick to measure humane circumstances by!
There's been a lot of talk in the last twenty years about the externalised costs of capitalism, but it is getting so hungry that these costs are no longer being externalised at all. If you're lucky enough not to get killed, you're getting squeezed, and honestly, I thought we'd officially done away with feudalism, and scrip and company towns.
I don't see much of an answer outside of political reform or revolution but I'm reaching Les Misérables levels of anger about this before going back to a well honed: "Focus on the good, look for the helpers, offer community support, be grateful" kind of response. And gaming the system where you can, not because you want to make a few bucks for a little luxury here and there, but simply because otherwise, you can't turn the heating on. And even if you can turn the heating on, you have to scheme not to get eliminated from your job in another "efficiency optimisation" measure. I'm so angry that after the world has come out of a natural threat to all our lives, the system is going right back to creating these same threats by wars and denying people food and housing.
Sure it's not the only thing going on right now. Sure, we can help each other through these milder threats to our life and sanity. But we shouldn't be forced into poverty to please the Sultan of Bahrein, or whoever is out to get yet a 1000 times more money than the coming five generations of their family could hope to spend, money that is made by increasing world hunger.
And much closer to home it's perverse that supermarkets raise their prices by 15% to offset the economies people made to keep the heating on. It's insane that my city now charges €4 an hour to park in the centre to pay for the extra assistance needed to keep people alive through the cost of living crisis. It's simply grating to have to pay three times as much for a cinema ticket and €120 per year extra for basic internet and t.v. because no one is stopping people from doing it. They don't need to. They can function perfectly well without it. But they can, so they do, driving all other prices up with them. Seriously. It's ridiculous that the public pool is now only €2 cheaper than the spa in a luxury hotel, petrol/gaslone is almost €8 a gallon so obviously they're raising the price of both parking your bike and bus tickets because of "increasing demand". And yes, I could find ways around these annoyances - they did in the GDR - but is this why people risked their lives to get away from the iron curtain?

there's something kind of amazing about this. that you can take an obviously terrible design approach on purpose as a challenge and then on some level it turns out there's still a one-size-fits-all solution that is... maybe not 'optimal', who knows, but, highly optimised? the whole factory is in large part the same basic building block stamped one time after another. the design constraint prevents the already-existing standard solutions from working but then you find there's a new kind of standard solution, even more uniform.
and on some level you'd think that was an artefact of this run, but no. i've seen this guy's other challenge runs, like the beltless one and the all-burner one. they all end up with 'yeah turns out there's a standard solution i am just going to keep implementing over and over'.
i am reminded of what @definitelynotplanetfall was saying about how the main bus architecture and more broadly the factorio 'meta' of standard arrays for doing things means it's very easy to just take The One Tool That Solves The Problem and implement it and it feels... a bit like drudgery? idk i don't want to put words in their mouth that's the impression i got from what they were saying. and like at the time i pushed back a little because, like, i am having fun playing.
which i am, but. idk. there's something there. it seems easy sometimes to take the tools that simplify your life in this game a little too far and simplify the fun away. but at the same time it's also the case that i hate it when i grow used to a tool and it goes away, like when i started a vanilla playthrough for reasons a while back and noticed how much lacking simple things like module inserter and autodeconstruct was annoying me.

When you make your reservations ahead, researching the various transfer companies, and taking advantage discounts as well as loyalty programmes that allow you to save money on an expensive airport chauffeur but not sacrifice on the quality.
Learn more about ways to maximize your experience when you transfer and stay clear of unexpected costs.
Know the cost-related factors
One of the primary aspects to take into consideration when selecting the airport transfer services is what it's going to cost you. There are a variety of factors that will affect the price which include the type of vehicle you pick and additional charges like fees for tollways and airport charges as well as other costs that are not disclosed.
If you're traveling on your own or traveling with others it is important to be at ease and secure on the journey to where you want to go. But, traveling on public transportation using luggage may be difficult in particular if there are youngsters or older people within your group.
Private airport transfer Melbourne offers you a comfortable, easy, and luxurious travel experience. The services provide a selection of vehicles that can be adapted to various sizes of groups. These services can also help you save cash by offering a more economical alternative to taxis. Additionally, many of them offer other services in the deal like beverages and snacks.
Compare Transfer Options
If you're in search of a low-cost option that provides more convenience and ease than public transportation options, private airport transfer services could be the perfect choice for your plans to travel. Through services such as Melbourne Premium chauffeurs and Melbourne Premium Chauffeurs, you will be able to enjoy the experience of a lifetime that goes beyond the taxi services. They provide personalized attention in optimisation of routes, the commitment to your convenience and your schedule.
Private transfers can be a great option for travelers with elderly relatives or children who might struggle with the hassles of public transport. Apart from allowing both of you to enjoy a relaxing time together These transfer services typically offer hourly services, which makes an excellent alternative for travelers with an unplanned layover.
Another benefit of private transfers is the fact that they are based on fixed prices which provide transparency and help you budget your money efficiently. This contrasts with other transport services which charge hidden charges and increase rates during peak hours.
Make a reservation in advance
The longer you get away from airport transfers, the more efficient. Instead of bargaining with taxi drivers or negotiating in a crowded bus system booking a private taxi prior to your travel date in order to secure the best price. You will also save yourself from unexpected expenses.
If you're travelling on your own or in or with a group of buddies If you're traveling with a group of friends, the appropriate Melbourne Airport transfer services are vital to ensure your comfort and convenience. By using services like Melbourne Premium Chauffeurs, you will be relaxed right from the time you land at the airport till the time you're dropped off at your destination. Additionally, you will take advantage of the comforts of your own vehicle with no hassle of breaking into a larger group for transportation or stressing about the amount each one has to pay for their fare.
There is an executive-driven service that meets the needs of your trip whether it's a shared taxi to a luxury limousine for a reasonable price, when you book in advance through Klook's site or application. Be sure to keep updated in relation to your flight's status so the driver will be able to meet at the right time and assist with your luggage when you arrive.
Think about alternative transfer methods
There's an array of methods to save money for the cost of your Melbourne Airport transfer. If you research options and make reservations beforehand, you'll be able to have peace of mind and an unwinding journey, with no cost.
Furthermore, a lot of private companies have a seat option that lets you purchase the seats you'll need. This allows you to optimize your spending and also ensures you're in a car that is able to meet the requirements of the size of your group.
Additionally, private transfers generally have fixed prices which provide transparency and allow for an efficient budget planning. Contrast this with ride-sharing applications with a variable rate based upon demand and other variables. This allows you to plan your journey and prevent unexpected expenses. Furthermore, a lot of private airport transfers offer amenities like complimentary beverages and WiFi to improve your travel journey.
Make the most of loyalty programs as well as discounts
If you're in Melbourne because of its captivating cafe culture and street art or to conduct business Melbourne has a variety of alternatives for transportation. This includes taxis or ride-sharing services, as well as transfer services for private flights from businesses such as Transfeero. The most efficient option for your requirements starts by understanding the variables which affect fares, and then organizing your travel plans.
Certain traditional taxi companies like 13CABS or Silver Top Taxis, offer an online estimate of the cost of fares, while taxi apps like Uber and Ola frequently offer promo discount codes and coupons. Furthermore, the family-friendly bus hire companies like Dhillon Bus Charter prioritize comfort and cost and often offer loyalty programmes as well as discounted rates for frequent traveller.
A discerning tourist who would like to have a relaxed transfer from Melbourne Airport to their accommodation or venue for a meeting, think about hiring an airport transfer that is private. The service offered will greet you at the airport and assist you with your luggage and then transport the passengers to their destination using a chauffeured automobile.
Optimize Your Itinerary
If you're an entrepreneur working on the go or are a family on vacation booking private airport transfers will ensure that your travel experience begins and concludes without a hitch. Do not have to bargain at taxi drivers getting through the rental car lines, or itching to search through ride-sharing applications. If you have arranged a transfer it is easy to leave the plane and get into the chauffeured vehicle.
For the best savings To maximize savings, you should book to save money, book your Melbourne airport shuttle ahead of time for a guarantee on price. Make sure to choose an organization that provides rewards programs and discounts for frequent customers.
