Bust Angel was one of the first yuri manga I ever read, and the anime is one of my favorites

Burst Angel, Episode 15: Slingin Oil

Oh my, I have thoughts about Burst Angel. We have a great vibe to start off with, very Cowboy Bebop & Neon Genesis Evangelion inspired cyberpunk show centering on a team of four girls with a clear Little Women theming present in three of the four names. Which as an aside...why is that one so popular in Japan? Not that it's a bad novel or anything just always seemed like an odd one to get so many anime references.

Anyways, team of badass ladies. Sei is the leader with serious family connections. Jo is the muscle. Meg is the designated kidnap victim. Youngest Amy is the tech wizard. All set in a not too distant future Japan where society has broken down. Team gets various jobs to steal military hardware or catch a no-goodnik or whatever, pretty loose in terms of story. But heavy on the casual fanservice. My god. Panty shots galore, often with a lot of camel toe. Skimpy outfits with a lot of pokie nips. There's so much it goes past being annoying to just being funny...though I don't like how they occasionally get Amy in on it. Bruh.

That said, the show is a batshit insane riot. You never know what you're gonna get out of a given episode. Seems like the main idea of a plot just goes straight out the window a few episodes in. I mean, first one makes it seem like we'd see a lot more mech action and the main character is a loser dude the girls hire as a cook. But we jump from infiltrating a ritzy girl's school to getting involved with a private police force in Osaka to a clash between a resort and hippies like it's nothing! Being honest though I kinda like it that way. There is some real development scattered throughout but this one's more about style than depth. And it definitely succeeds there.
