Recently had a blast in London with some lovely Strikophiles. Took lots of pictures and thought I would share here the ones where I can remember why I took them. 😂 I will add book quotes as time permits. Please correct me if you think I am wrong because it was a full day.

Tianfu, Macclesfield Street

Where Strike's leg gives way and he slides to the floor in TV Career of Evil*.

* Tense re-enactment prevented by piles of boxes. I was completely up for it.

The Red Lion, Duke of York Street

This is the pub where Strike asks Robin to meet him after he's seen Jasper Chiswell and accepted his case. Robin gets showered in orange juice as Sarah Shadlock looks on.

On the way to have afternoon tea at Fortnum＆Mason, I took a walk around Burlington Arcade and Royal Arcade (^o^)

In the Bond Street area, it feels like the place where exclusive brands are gathered from all over the world (^o^)v

フォートナム＆メイソンでアフタヌーン•ティーを楽しむついでにバーリントン•アーケード、ロイヤル•アーケード界隈を散策して来ました(^o^)

ボンド•ストリートは世界のブランドが集結している感じですね(^o^)v

Monstera Duet, 380 S Lake Ave, Ste 105, Pasadena, CA 91101

I don’t know too much about plants but I spotted Monstera Duet, a plant shop, while waiting for my coffee in the Burlington Arcade. They had some plants outside the shop as well as a temperature-controlled shop full of indoor houseplants. It seemed like they had a good variety of plants with clear pricing. Most of the plants were in plastic potting containers and on the smaller side. They had a few small trees and I believe some rare plants.

A 10” rhapis exclesa was $110, a fair price. A $8 scindapsus pictus is a good price, lower than average. They didn’t have many decorative planters or non-plant merchandise. Their plants looked healthy.
